Apple is horrible, they cancelled my flights so I could not get to Punta Cana for my stay, Now they tell me they cannot refund my hotel stay even though they cancelled the flight. On phone with Apple, Apple says Breathless Resort isn't processing refund. I call Breathless and they say Apple hasn't contacted them. Stay away!

Apple Vacations unapologetically left us stranded in a foreign country. We have booked through Apple Vacations many times, both family vacations and getaways for the two of us, but never again. We booked an all-inclusive package for a wedding in the Dominican Republic. The last day of our vacation, we used the confirmation code provided by Apple for our flight home & no tickets were found by the airline. When we called Apple (about 6 times), we were informed that our ticket had been canceled and the only thing they could do was sell us the exact same flight for full price a second time! Of course, we were not going to be foolish enough to trust them with it again, but we also had no choice but to repurchase the tickets (directly through the airline this time). I hate to think what would happen to people who didn't have the resources to repurchase tickets that had already been paid for or if you were traveling with a large group.

I wish I could give zero stars. Do not use Apple vacations. We booked a vacation for 5 people two years ago but had to cancel within 24 hours when realized that my child’s passport has expired. We called their support service and they confirmed that we are good to cancel. It was within 24 hr window. We cancelled the whole family’s package just to learn lately that the package was not returnable. We’ve contacted the hotel and they told us it is returnable. The customer service is awful. Feel so bad that I lost more than 3 grand because of them. If they gave us correct info, I would stay with my child and at least the rest of the family could have traveled and not wasted our hard-earned money. And time!

Zero stars, we flew from Cleveland OH to Cancun MX. No one was waiting for us at the airport with a sign for Riu Palace Rivera Maya, some referred us to others…It took us half an hour find a bus, finally our driver found it far from the airport at the end of the parking lot…without a sign.

Horrible to deal with. The penalties for a cancellation with sufficient notice are astronomical and unreasonable. In addition, you will wait on the phone for one hour in order to speak with someone to discuss your issue.

(2) Call goes to a foreign land with bad phone service.
(3) Only about 1 out of 3 who answers the phone actually knows what to do.
(4) They will put you on mute while they consult a "higher up".(5) The silence lasts a long time and you're not sure if you're still being helped.
(6) After all that time, for whatever reason, the call always gets disconnected, without that agent calling you back.
I just spent 3-days suffering through this and still have not gotten the help I need.

This was my first booking with Apple Vacations and it will be my last. I booked online, they offered travel insurance for $89.99 and I purchased it due to some health challenges lately, just a safety net. I called in to confirm my reservation and all the details and the rep chuckled and said, "Your booking is non-refundable and the $89.99 does not apply." She transferred me to customer service and they refused to give me a credit even though the charge is useless. It is just a way to beat people out of their money. This is very unethical. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY BUSINESS AND SPREAD THE WORD.

I have been using Apple vacations for years, while never great, I continue to use them. I think they outsourced their customer service to another country. I just booked a 10 day all inclusive to Mexico in Jan. 2026. On the booking page it says price match guarantee. Well…that’s not true. A day of emailing back and forth, their emails not making sense. I had to send the quote over 5 times to be told they can’t match the company that gave me the quote. The staff friendliness in the resorts has gone down hill too.

Apple Vacations failed us. At RIU Montego Bay, I was a guest from July 18-22, 2025. I was there with my cousin and friends celebrating a birthday. A guest tried to break into our room, then urinated and defecated in front of our door. Management did nothing meaningful, and RIU corporate refused responsibility. Apple’s “resolution” was a $150 credit for a traumatic and unsafe experience. I have emails from both Apple and RIU refusing to take responsibility for the incident. If you expect Apple to protect you or advocate for you when something goes wrong, think again.

I wish I had read some of the other travelers' reviews before booking with Apple Vacations. They are possibly the worst travel company to deal with and I have no idea how they've stayed in business so long. I can literally get a better price (with free cancellation option) on any other site. When I booked a trip with them and used their "price match" feature, they refused to honor it - each time I sent them a screenshot, they said "the font is too small" or "the font is too large", deliberately stalling so the window of price match would run out. Calling their customer service us USELESS. Stay away! I only use travel agents now or book myself through other online sites.

We received an e-mail from Apple Vacations that the all inclusive property we had booked was being sold. As an alternative, they offered another property in an area of Jamaica that we do not wish to visit. We can, at increased cost, change to another property that is in the same area. The problem is that property’s website shows that it will be closed due to renovations. I am currently listening to hold music from my 1 hour and 35 minute phone call to Apple Vacations, where no one seems to know anything. This is the second call. Please use your vacation dollars elsewhere. This company is the opposite of relaxation.

We just returned from Riu Palace Punta Cana. While the hotel was beautiful, the resort staff was wonderful, our experience was not great due to the lack of knowledge from Apple Vacations. We booked a 7 night stay costing 7K. I expressed to our agent that we are looking for all inclusive, we spend all our time at the beach and do not enjoy pools. That being said, the beach was the most important thing to us besides safety and the cleanliness of the resort.
I trusted Apple Vacations to be knowledgeable about the locations they book and the recommendations made to us. Upon arrival, I heard that Punta Cana, Cancun, and most of the Caribbean were in seaweed season, which lasted months! How in the world can a travel agency that specializes in Caribbean vacations not know this!!?? When I am talking about seaweed (sargassum), I am talking about piles and piles of seaweed along the entire beach. Rolling in each day and unmanageable. The smell was terrible, the amount was disgusting, and there were health risks due to the amount and odor.
We are all about nature, natural occurrences. I understand seaweed is going to happen, but again, I cannot comprehend how this could not have been disclosed to us by our travel agent at the time of booking. How could a company of this size not be knowledgeable about the locations they are booking? They had dozers, green machines, dump trucks, and still the beaches are covered in sargassum! The water is unswimmable and brown. The staff at Riu Palace, the resort, and Amstar, wonderful. I called Apple's post-trip number, but they were not helpful at all. I would choose another company for our next trip. One who cares and is knowledgeable about the locations, the time of year, and what natural occurrences are going on.

I have used Apple Vacations for a lot of years now and never had issues...until now. I booked a trip to Cabo a few weeks ago and I always watch the prices, If the price drops I call them and they refund the difference without issue. This time though, he tells me if I get the difference refunded (in the form of travel credit), I will lose my insurance (travel protection plus) - it will be considered "used" - before I even take off? So then I said well never mind that, but I want to upgrade my room. Again he tells me if I do that, I will lose my insurance...huh? For giving them more money?? Then he says if I read my itinerary that it clearly says on there no cancellations or changes...NO IT DOESN'T. I pulled the itinerary up and read it to him word for word and that clause was nowhere in it. He says - I'll send you a new one & I'll be damned this one has it on there in bold red letters.
Nowhere in the entire booking process did anything say that, so I told him that should be made known to people up front when booking. When I read the fine print of the travel protection it says lowest price guarantee, but nothing about voiding your policy if used. It also says changes will be covered the first time - both false. At this point I was frustrated and asked what exactly is covered with the protection and he literally could not answer. After this I began reading reviews - which I should have done prior to booking but didn't because I had not has any issues in the past, and wow...it appears this company has gone completely downhill here in the last couple years. Bottom line, beware if booking with Apple as I will never use them again and have already started spreading the word to all my friends who travel.

Worst customer service ever! I can't say it's the staff's fault but it's Apple Vacations computer system or lack of training. I've been on the phone for 2 hours trying to update a flight change and no one seemed to understand or was competent enough to help me. I'm still waiting for a refund a month later with no guarantee it will happen. They need to change something or they will lose customers. Never again!

Absolutely HORRIBLE service. My husband was diagnosed with cancer a week before we were to leave. His treatment needed to start the day we were to leave. We did not want to travel to a third world country with him sick and could possibly get sick there. We had purchased travel insurance but we have been fighting them for months to try and get our money back. They only want to issue us a travel credit that expires in a year. We do not know where this cancer diagnosis is going to lead us in the next year so not even sure we will be able to travel. It appears that they got the money and have no intentions of a refund. Thank you Apple Vacation for being kind caring human beings! So tired of these money hungry business that have no care or concern for anything but getting their money. Here are the major concerns I encountered during my stay:
The TV in my room was not working.
Day 2:
The lights flickered continuously, creating a disruptive atmosphere.
Day 3:
A wall-mounted light fixture fell off, exposing live wires. Upon closer inspection, it was clear that the fixture had been taped on—this is a serious safety hazard.
The dresser appeared to be poorly assembled, barely holding together.
The hallways had multiple broken tiles, creating tripping hazards. This section was advertised as new, but the conditions were far from acceptable.
While I appreciate the helpfulness of your staff, the overall quality and safety of my stay were completely unacceptable for a resort that claims to provide a five-star experience. I have photographic evidence of these issues, which I am prepared to share publicly if necessary.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! We booked our honeymoon through them in Cancun. They offered to pay extra to have our room upgraded to ocean front. We fell for it and paid $300 per person, they offered a car rental for the entire week for about $175, and also included transportation airport hotel airport. The honeymoon package included all kinds of perks that honestly we were expecting the best, it even included $300 credit for SPA services. The hotel booked did not honored any of that!!!! Their ocean-view rooms were for members only!!! We never got an ocean view room although we paid for it. The hotel made me pay for SPA services received, again they did not honored what was promised by Apple!!!!
Be careful... The car rental seemed to be a great deal, but they fail to tell you that the rental company will require payment for insurance and it's a ridiculous amount!!! We ended up paying more than $600 for a week of car rental. We were charged for transportation from the airport. We didn't use their transportation because we got a car rental. They didn't care, that's not their problem was told!!! When an issue arises and you request a refund they will transfer your call to several people, who have a very heavy ** accent that you hardly can understand. I have promised they will look into it and get back to me and 7 weeks later I still haven't heard from anyone. This is a very horrible way to screw someone's vacation and steal your money. I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER use them again!!!!

If I could give negative stars I ABSOLUTELY would!!! I have booked before from Apple Vacations (AV) and didn't have an issue, which is why I did this time. We had flights changed and then finally cancelled in a matter of a week. Called AV, and it was a headache trying to get refunded for my flights, I was told once I found new flights to reach out and that I would be assisted with the flights and given a discount. I did just that, and was told no discount for flights, and now flight costs are astronomical! I was then given a new itinerary, which showed that I was charged a fee for essentially not paying in full. I was also charged for shared transportation which is supposed to be "complimentary" according to their website.
That's just the first problem! Since these changes have been made, I now cant access my trip online. Can't see my itinerary, cant make payments, NADA! It tells me to contact customer support... I've been trying for a week, chat cant help me - tells me to call, I call it gives you the "new text to chat" option, tried that... Useless... Told to call.... I call and literally on hold for HOURS waiting for someone to answer, how is that possible?!?! I've been calling, texting, chatting for days, and don't get a live person on the phone, and get my issues resolved!! But they have no problem taking your money right away!
They also said to reset my password, clear my cache/cookies/history, did all that NADA.... then I was told if was a technical issue on my end, funny because all the different devices I've tried, all say the same the thing.... so who really has the issue!! Then to boot, I am told from the representative on text that once I pay in full, I can see my documents. Which is it?!?! Technical issue on my end, pay in full.... THEY ARE RIDICULOUS and a HORRIBLE BUSINESS!!! DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH THIS BUSINESS!!!

Apple Vacation is a total scam. We booked at trip to Cancun between 2/10-2/16. Group of 6. I purchased their travel protection as well. 3 days before the trip, one of our members damaged the knee and couldn't make it with us. I immediately informed apple about this. I was on the phone for 6 hours with them while they were making adjustment. Today is 2/25 and I still haven't received my travel credits.
I call every day and spend hours on the phone trying to resolve this matter. Their agent tells me that they are waiting for resort's response on how much and if I will get the credit. Why do I have to wait for resort's decision when I purchased Protection!! No one gives me the answer. What if resort won't give me any refund? What's good of this protection when they cannot refund you when emergency happens? BTW, I sent Apple all the paperwork from the emergency room, confirming that the person couldn't travel. This is a horrible experience. Apple Vacation is a total scam.

Our flight was cancelled, when I reached out to Apple they told me to rebook it myself. Wouldn't contact our resort to let them know I would be an entire day late and not mark me as no show. I sat on the phone on hold with them for 2-1/2 hours with someone the barely spoke English and did nothing to help. They were the only person working there either cause I tried recalling. He pushed me off to another dept. and they were like, "He wasn't supposed to transfer you here. We're not going to refund you anything." Finally rebooked my own flight. Paid for another night and day in a hotel waiting for flight (live 2 hours from airport).
Took a chance the resort would know we were still coming (we couldn't contact them ourselves because we booked through Apple). Then found out while we were finally there a few days in the resort would have extended our stay to make up for the lost day but Apple Vacations declined on our behalf...without asking us (I guess cause they didn't want to try to do any work and change flights). When I reached out to Apple to see about them getting our flights changed so we could stay the extra day they said the resort would not allow that to happen (when they had JUST told us face to face they would indeed).
But Apple offered us a flight that we could take that was going to give us 1 hour to get through customs with layover which they had already told us previously we should never do. OR our other option to not sleep in the layover airport and the flight that we requested was going to be several hundreds dollars each more. Any actual service would go to the airlines and explaining that it was THEIR fault we missed a day. And of course we were not allowed to talk to airlines ourselves after it was booked through third party. After we got home (forfeiting about $1200) Apple is still telling ME to go to the airlines and request a refund - and then finally just disappeared entirely. Oh yeah - and my travel insurance I paid extra for? It's only good if I cancelled the entire trip.
WORTHLESS COMPANY! Better off booking directly with the resort. The resort was so willing to try to help but their hands were tied. This was the third time we had used Apple Vacations but we realized we never had a problem because we never had to use them for any help. They honestly offered ZERO service whatsoever for us.

Have had several terrible experiences with this company, we book our company trip to Cabo every year at the same time. For the first three years I just put up with the slow responses, missed deadlines and incorrect dates/emails/birthdays and names on tickets because it was so difficult to get 27 people to one location completely handled. This is our fourth year and now things have hit the fan, I could go on a rant but it sufficient to say we're going to have to look elsewhere next year, they're simply just not responding. They still have the aforementioned mistakes such as wrong names, dates, email, missed payment deadlines etc. I've called 4 times requesting a call back from a manager with no luck. Good luck if you book with them, might be fine for a simple travel plan but we've had terrible luck/service.

Apple Vacations markets The Royalton Splash in the Dominican Republic All-Inclusive Resort as a four star plus resort when it's a two start at best. The write-ups and documentation provided by Apple are inaccurate and the not properly describe the property. What was intended to be a special family vacation for a party of eleven, at Royalton Splash Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort, from November 26th to December 2nd, turned out to be a nightmare. From the condition of the resort to the service we received, the entire experience fell far below expectations.
Poor Room Conditions: Peeling walls, a terrible odor, and, to our horror, a cockroach spotted on the ceiling. Leaking Ceiling: In the bathroom at the buffet restaurant. Limited Access to Amenities: Extremely limited access to resort amenities if not a Diamond Club Member. (This is an all-inclusive resort, and none of this is explained on any of their websites). Unacceptable Additional Charges: Additional charges for basic meals at some restaurants. (Again, this is an all-inclusive resort, and none of this is explained on any of their websites).
Mandatory Upcharges for Wine: Upcharges for wine in order to get restaurant and dining reservations. (Again, this is an all-inclusive resort, and none of this is explained on any of their websites). Unfulfilled Promises and Deceptive Practices: Employees used deceptive practices as sales pitches to get us to see timeshare presentations. Unresponsive Staff: Despite numerous attempts to resolve the issues with the staff, promises were made to follow up on complaints, but none were ever honored. Again, just more attempts for timeshare presentations.
I need to stress that these are just SOME of the examples. This experience was a complete letdown and left my family with lasting frustration. I feel deceived and misled, as though our vacation, which was meant to be a treat, was ruined by false advertising by Apple Vacations. I have reached out to Apple Vacations. The only responses I have received to date are canned apologies and a $50 credit per person for any upcoming vacation. Really!!!. I feel cheated and betrayed by Apple Resorts and discourage others from using in the future. I am out of over $20,000. Their canned apologies are an insult at best.

We used an agent with Travel Impressions but they are all under the Apple Leisure Group (ALG) travel. Absolute nightmare. Our flights were cancelled a week after we booked and I got an email and forwarded to our agent. She said she would look into it. After an entire month and dozens of emails and texts from us, she said she was informed it was not cancelled and she had no idea why we got that email from the airline.
We get to the airport on the day of travel and IT WAS CANCELLED. We called her right away and she said she didn’t know what happened and would get back to us. I booked us a new flight (one way) for that day because we only had a certain amount of time to get there to meet our daughter. She then texted me and told me they would handle it - and book us a ticket back. They would reimburse us for the original cancelled flight or the one way we just bought. Since it was entirely Travel Impressions' fault and we had asked for a refund or new flights back in early July.
) weeks later they tell us we can get $258 Back, that’s it. The original flights were $1000 and the one we booked last minute BECAUSE OF THEIR SCREW UP was $850. Unacceptable. Files complaint with BBB and Federal Trade Commission. DO NOT USE ANY OF THESE COMPANIES. They completely messed up, cost us so much extra money and stress and refuse to see their error even though we have everything documented.
