Despite making a reservation by phone with full payment at 11:30 pm on a Friday and a 24 hour full refund cancelation policy, the office could not be reached the next day at :9:00 pm to cancel. Despite email request and phone message within 24 hours they refuse to refund the trip. It was an intentional impossibility to cancel within 24 hours to ensure profit and unjust enrichment at the expense and cost of trusting consumers.

We used an agent with Travel Impressions but they are all under the Apple Leisure Group (ALG) travel. Absolute nightmare. Our flights were cancelled a week after we booked and I got an email and forwarded to our agent. She said she would look into it. After an entire month and dozens of emails and texts from us, she said she was informed it was not cancelled and she had no idea why we got that email from the airline.
We get to the airport on the day of travel and IT WAS CANCELLED. We called her right away and she said she didn’t know what happened and would get back to us. I booked us a new flight (one way) for that day because we only had a certain amount of time to get there to meet our daughter. She then texted me and told me they would handle it - and book us a ticket back. They would reimburse us for the original cancelled flight or the one way we just bought. Since it was entirely Travel Impressions' fault and we had asked for a refund or new flights back in early July.
) weeks later they tell us we can get $258 Back, that’s it. The original flights were $1000 and the one we booked last minute BECAUSE OF THEIR SCREW UP was $850. Unacceptable. Files complaint with BBB and Federal Trade Commission. DO NOT USE ANY OF THESE COMPANIES. They completely messed up, cost us so much extra money and stress and refuse to see their error even though we have everything documented. Emails and texts from them showing they told us the flight wasn’t cancelled.

Maybe I should have called 6 nights and seven days (the time it took to get a call and have resolution). At 11:31 am (central) on 10/4 I booked a vacation to Cancun thru Apple Vacations and paid a $208 premium for room upgrades ($104 per room) to Preferred Club Premium King Ocean Front and Preferred Club Premium Double Ocean Front (1 King room and 1 double room - as I am traveling with adult children who won’t share a bed). Upon receiving a copy of the itinerary at 12:50 pm (central) on 10/4 I noticed there were no balconies for those ocean front rooms.
At 1:15 pm (central) on 10/4 I called the 800 number and spoke with Samiksha Singh for 27 minutes and 55 seconds. In summary, I was told that there were no Preferred Club versions of those rooms with balconies available during my stay however there was Premium King Balcony Ocean Front (losing the Preferred Club but gaining a balcony). I requested to change out the King reservation for the king with the balcony. It was becoming apparent that the language barrier from the international call center could lead to mistakes - so I was very specific that it was just the king bedroom that was getting swapped out.
I was charged an additional $27.40 to downgrade my room to one that would have carried no additional premium at the time of reservation. I received the modified reservation at 2:02 pm (central) on 10/4 and noticed that both original rooms were changed and now my adult children were sharing a king bed and that the $216 premium I paid for the Preferred Club access was gone without refund, not including the $27.40 I was charged to downgrade.
I called the 800 number back at 2:08 pm (central) on 10/4 and spoke to Geetika who took 81 minutes frequently putting me on hold while she tried to resolve the issue. Her offer was to charge me an additional $120 to reverse previous reps mistake for 1 room. I told her that was wrong, I already paid the premium for both rooms and I asked for supervisor and she said one would have to call me back. I inquired about the time frame, she said 24 hours, since it was a Friday I asked if I should expect a call on a Saturday, she then said Monday. I then asked for an email, name of supervisor or other contact number and was told she didn't have one to offer.
No one has ever called me back. I did get an email from a review team, Beth M’s reply was largely dismissive and sided with the call center rep. Finally I contacted Apple Leisure Group (Apple Vacations parent) and their customer support line is just a voice mail. Left several messages over a week and no one ever calls back.
Oddly, while typing this I did get a call from Beth M. She, in essence, refunded the amount I was charged to downgrade and reversed the bed issue for my children. I forfeited the premium I paid for the original Preferred Club Premium King Ocean Front room. Not great but this won't be the vacation that went wrong cause my adult children had to share a bed.

Absolute nightmare. We weren't going with Apple by choice. My wife's parents had a travel credit with them, and invited us along to their next vacation. We agreed, and as a result, all the bookings needed to be done thru Apple. After confirming our information multiple times, Deborah ** still managed to mess up the information on our flights. She incorrectly put in not only my wife's birthday, but my wife's mother's birthday. We discovered this while checking in to our very much overbooked transatlantic flight.
I'll never understand why people use travel agencies... I've never had an issue like this when booking myself. Quite frankly, it's not worth the heartache. Even the packages they offered didn't really go beyond "boomer bus tours". Half of the job is filling out those forms correctly. The other half is cashing my very large checks. Couldn't even manage to do that correctly. Gave us the run-around when we tried calling to correct the info. What exactly is the point of paying their fees for 'service' if this is the service I get? No wonder they're struggling. It's very telling that they can only get the small-town boomer clientele. I can only hope that their actions will hasten the inevitable demise of this industry as a whole.

My all inclusive trip to Dreams Jade resort in Puerto Morales was great. Staff, food, service, transportation through Amstar were great. Shows were average. They will tell your room isn’t ready so they can sell you a timeshare for 2 hours so wear or carry your suit with you and head to the pool for food and drinks while you wait. Pretty sure we got a room as far away from everything because we didn’t play the game, but I can’t be sure that wasn’t part of the Apple Vacations' deal.
Be warned that this resort caters to kids. We just got lucky with school just starting in September. I may not book again because Frontier is a terrible airline. Their check in app didn’t work properly and on the return they wanted us to pay $25 each for a paper boarding pass. We argued and won, but what a hassle. Also didn’t know they would charge an additional $110 each to check a bag! Who flies without a bag! Once on our flight they gouge you another $13 for a cocktail. Bring your own snacks, they are outrageous too. We bought the insurance, but thankfully didn’t have to use it as I read the reviews of other customer nightmares. Read the fine print! I will look for other options next time.

On August 6th, I visited Applevacations.com to book a trip, just as I had done last year for an all-inclusive vacation. I specifically searched for an all-inclusive package to Curaçao, and among the options, the Coral Estate resort appeared, along with others. To clarify, "all-inclusive" to me—and to most travelers—means airfare, hotel, airport transportation, and all meals and beverages, including alcohol. This was exactly what I had booked last year. Based on this understanding, I booked the Coral Estate resort. I even recorded the booking process, showing how I selected the "all-inclusive" option and how Coral Estate appeared as part of that package.
However, when I arrived at the resort on August 16th, I was shocked to learn that it wasn't all-inclusive at all. The receptionist informed me that I would have to pay separately for every meal and beverage. I immediately contacted Apple Vacations to address this issue, only to be met with hostility, resistance, and no assistance whatsoever.
Apple Vacations falsely advertised this resort as all-inclusive on their website, and this error cost me significant additional expenses during my vacation. Even the resort's staff verified the mistake by checking Apple Vacations' website and seeing that their hotel was incorrectly listed as all-inclusive. I demand reimbursement for every food and beverage expense I incurred due to this misleading information. Furthermore, Apple Vacations owes me an apology not only for their error but also for the unprofessional way they handled my complaint, including hanging up on me when I sought help. I will never use Apple Vacations again. Don't waste your time or money on this scam.

Well paid for all adults, resort got to the beautiful resort the Rui Las Americas, went to check in, we were told we had to Leave. There was not a room for us. Meanwhile we watched several people check in, a guy paid cash. They tried to get us to sign a paper that we agreed to leave, we refused. After much crying they put us in a very shady taxi. We had no idea where they were taking us. They took us to the Rui Peninsula a dump that is family-friendly, we spent the first three days on the phone then were told to pack and go to the Palace. We didn't trust them so we got the front desk to call only to be told that we didn't have a room. We also paid extra for insurance, we need to be compensated for this horrible trip.

I booked a trip through Apple Vacations on 8/1/2024 and had to cancel it on 8/8/24 due to medical issues. The flight was scheduled for 8/17/24. The total price was about $5821. I was told on the phone that there will be NO refund at all. I asked the agent how is that possible? They will just take my money and run with it? The agent told me to provide a doctors note. So I sent them a doctor's note specifically stating by the doctor that I am not able to travel. I sent that to Apple Vacations. No response yet. In the meantime I checked their website to search for the reservation I cancelled and suddenly I see that they increased the price from $5821 to $11800 without any of my consent.
Now I don't know if this an error or not but it for sure Is adding to the anxiety this company is giving me right now in addition to the medical issues I am facing right now. I will probably take this company to court by the end of next week. Because I will not let a company just steal the money from us consumers and run away with. There was not even a service provided by this company. They just took the money and are now even increasing the price. This is a scam. I want to warm everyone to not deal with this company in the future.

Finally got the manager Julio who wanted me to give the quote to the penny, which I could not do. When I asked to speak to corporate he hung up on me. After 3 hours, he hung up on me. Now I have no hotel room and I do not want to speak to this vile company again. They should be shut down. It's a total scam. I wish I checked this site first.

I am writing this review because if my dissatisfaction with Apple Vacations. I have been traveling with Apple for over 25 plus years and the last two years have not been good. 1st off - last year we missed our flight to Cancun because the airport was packed. We got to our gate late. Called apple vacations because I have insurance. Submitted a claim for our airfare or a travel credit something. We got nothing so needless to say we have now saved close to 300 dollars because no more insurance and that was the 1st time we attempted to use the insurance even though we always purchase....
But for the situation that really got me with apple vacations is that I am traveling soon to the DR soon as a group of us. We all have separate double occupancy bookings except for me and my husband. Well here is the problem. How can one passenger call and cancel her roommate's booking when they booked separate times. Even though they are roommates paid with two different cards.
How is one roommate able to cancel the other roommate's booking and use the roommate's money to complete their booking and the roommate get a small refund back. How is that right or even ok to do!!!! Because of these last two years and these instances I don't think I will be booking thru Apple again and the worst with the latter situation Apple did nothing to make it right. The one roommate was told to sue the other to get her money back. Now how's that ok? Just disappointed in the way the situation was handled. 1st no one should be able to cancel another passenger's booking.

They increase the price of Frontier Airline tickets and receive a percentage of luggage costs for the flight. Hidden charges increase their profit on each passenger. Our flight to Cancun was cancelled by Frontier less than seven hours before departing. We had to find another airline to take us at an additional $ 2100 that day. Frontier paid Apple the money for the cancelled flight six weeks ago and Apple still has not given us the money back from this cancellation despite our constant inquiries. It’s virtually impossible to reach anyone by phone to address this issue. They used to be a reputable company, but that has dramatically changed. Stay away from Apple Vacations when planning your next trip. I wish someone from Apple would call us because we can’t find anyone to help us when we call them.

We booked a family vacation with Apple Vacations for 9 family members in January for June 8-15. On May 3 we received our first confirmation for our “Exclusive Apple Non Stop Flights”. Apple booked our flights with Frontier but didn’t inform us that there would be an additional cost for luggage. We thought it was an Apple charter flight. At $76 per piece of luggage one way it would have cost us almost $1,400 for each of our travelers to bring only one piece of luggage and the tickets were $430 each for the three hour flight from St. Louis.
After reviewing our January call, Apple agreed the customer service rep never told us about luggage fees and gave us free luggage. 8 hours before our departure flight we were notified in an email that our flight was canceled. I booked Southwest flights that added an additional $2,000 to our trip and got us there on the first day of our vacation. In Mexico I called Apple to ask the process for getting reimbursed for our flights and were told Frontier would credit Apple and Apple would credit us. I waited three weeks for the credit only to call in and discover I have to initiate a request for credit which is not what I was told when asking the process. Apple never contacted us to explain the process or acknowledge the cancellation.
I could have booked nonstop flights on Southwest with free luggage for less money than the Frontier flight and a lot more reliability but the agent led me to believe the flights were part of a package deal. At least the cruise ships give you the option to book your own flights or book through them. It takes almost two hours of waiting to talk to an “offshore” Apple agent and there is no separate phone number for post travel or any option when you call in for that department. We used Apple Vacation 13 years in a row in the early 2000’s and were impressed with the company but will never use them again. I felt underserved, unappreciated and neglected after spending more than $20,000 with this company. So disappointed.

This is unquestionably the worst vacations company on the internet. Unfortunately, I got married and allowed the new Mrs. to book the honeymoon to Aruba with this company (I use that word lightly). After the wedding I got sick and diagnosed with C.O.P.D. and was travel restricted. Thankfully, we paid the extra $200 towards insurance in case of something exactly like that happening, So I thought. At the end of useless hours arguing with illegible foreigners, ended up with a credit for less than we put down. Instead of a tan, we got a lawyer. ***Beware of ***Company!*

We made reservations from Pittsburgh Pa to Amman Jordan from 6/14-7/1. I made and paid for a business class. Upon arriving to the airport, AA told me my reservations were Main Cabin and not business. They could not do anything to the reservations and was told to reach out to Apple Vacations. I called Apple vacations and was told by the the rep that was due to systems error they had and was willing to reimburse me $400 per ticket. I requested a supervisor to speak with. A supervisor called me after 40 minutes to tell me it was a chance in reservation by the airlines that caused this fiasco and denied that it was systems error even though my itinerary clearly shows flagship business class. She offered me $600. I demanded a compensation for a full compensation for two inbound legs but she refused.
Bottom line, they fully deserve the poor reviews they have. This is a non trustworthy company with deceptive tactics. Although I did make reservations with them before but never again. I live in the Ohio Valley area and will make sure all the local residents of the practices of this shady company. Unfortunately, for me this is coming late and lost on this transaction. My sincere advice to everyone is stay away from this company. I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau

We booked a trip to Cabo to meet up with my family for a winter holiday. My daughter got sick at the airport, as we were boarding the plane. To make a very long story somewhat short, Apple did not honor the trip insurance I purchased through them. After hours on the phone, I was able to secure a refund for my hotel and transfers. I was told I would receive airline credits; however, Apple never canceled my flights, and therefore, the credits were never issued. To get anything rectified, you will spend hours on the phone with very little help. I would NEVER book a trip through them again. The rest of my family were able to travel and said it was a nice experience, but I will never book through them again.

DO NOT USE APPLE VACATIONS! I did not do my research and booked through Apple Vacations. My boyfriend had a heart attack 2 weeks before our vacation so I chatted with an Apple Vacations representative to ask about options. The representative told me I should cancel the vacation and take travel credit and go another time. I even asked about changing him out to my sister and was told I should cancel and take the travel credit because it would be costly to change a person. I did what the representative told me to do and then Apple Vacations refused to give me travel credit. I told them I did what their agent told me to do and they still refused travel credit. I've requested a copy of the transcript of my chat with their representative and they refuse to provide it because they know they committed fraud.

Terrible vacation! It started off with our flights being delayed so we would miss connecting ones and could not get to our destination for over two days! Bought new flights. It cost over $1200 and now Apple Vacation has to investigate it. It takes 30 to 45 days for any type of refund if I even get one. Also once arriving in Mexico, our hotel, which looked very nice had been conveniently changed to a different hotel. Food was not good. Subpar vacations is a terrible company. Don’t use them.

I bought a $6,000+ all inclusive vacation to Cancun, Mexico. Air fare from Denver, CO was included. The airline I was put on was Frontier. I did ask the sales rep what the cost would be for baggage, and I was told to check with the airline, because he didn't know, and he explained to me he did not work for the airlines. I did buy the trip, and thankfully, I purchased trip cancellation. When I contacted Frontier Airlines, I was told that the roundtrip charge for 1 checked bag, and a carry-on for both me and my wife was $515.00. I decided to invoke the trip cancellation, which cost me around $456. This was the only charge that would not be refunded to me.
The reason why I will never again use Apple Vacations is because their sales representatives don't know, and don't care to know the add on charges to their customers from the airlines Apple chooses for the trips Apple sells. It is my view that it is Apple's responsibility to inform their customers of the additional charges their customers will face from the airlines.

Do not, under any circumstances spend your money with this company. I called to book with one of their agents as I had a specific need that I wanted to make sure was covered. I was traveling with my family of 5 and my 2 elderly parents with health issues. They needed a double bed. The resort had 2 levels, with the preferred club offering access to more restaurants, pools, etc. As we were traveling together, I wanted to make sure we could ALL access the same things and stated the same to the agent. The booking with the family of 5 was booked in a Preferred Club room and the other was booked in a regular room (only room available at the time with double beds). The agent called the hotel and assured me they could upgrade to Preferred Club at the hotel. But I should book now to lock in the rates...
Next day, called because I never heard back on what the add'l charges would be... no answer after 1 hour and 15 minutes on hold and an email that said she would call me (she didn't). Next day, finally talked to someone after an hour on hold. That agent said the hotel cannot guarantee an upgrade. I said I want to cancel the reservation. I would have never booked this. She told me I could upgrade (with extra $) to a king bed Preferred Club. I reiterated that they cannot have that. She said that was the only option. Or to wait and hope. I said I want to cancel. She said that would be subject to the trip insurance cost and I would get the return in travel credit for another trip with Apple. I said I want to speak to a supervisor. Nope.
Next day, I get a call from a supervisor. That person knows nothing of previous conversation and tells me he can help by offering an upgrade to Preferred Club King Room for $$. Again, I said I cannot do that. He called hotel. Got the same answer... no option for double room and preferred. He said I could switch to a different date or hotel (not convenient because Spring Break trip) so I said I will need to talk to the family. I get a random call later from another "supervisor" from an Indian call center. I try to call back to the call center to move the date. Number from supervisor doesn't work. So I call the Apple number. They tell me I can't without using the travel insurance AND paying thousands of additional dollars to move the date (A DATE I DIDN'T WANT TO BEGIN WITH!!!).
I said I want to speak to the supervisor I talked to before. "There is no record of that." What about the 2nd one? "There is no record of that. To be honest, I am questioning if the person you talked to was really a supervisor." Now they say they need to listen to the call to prove that she told me that. Will take "a few" days. Meanwhile the prices are increasing and flights are booking up, making the travel worse and worse for us and we are stuck with Apple. I call again to say can you please freeze the prices at least as they are right now? No. In fact, the agent hung up on me because there was nothing she could do for me. They will not stand behind what their agents did or help you. They make YOU pay for THEIR mistakes. I am talking thousands and thousands of dollars. And we went from direct flights at normal times during our kids' Spring Break to now having to layover for hours, take the kids out of school AND pay more. This is crazy.
NOTE that other, equally nice, resorts and other dates were available at the time of booking and even in the first couple days of this. BUT BECAUSE OF THEIR SLOW "CUSTOMER SERVICE" PROCESSING, and terrible policies, we had to eat THEIR mistakes. Unreal. I should also note that I have never called without being on hold for at least 30 minutes, with the exception of the original booking. Buyer BEWARE!!!!

I booked our vacation online. There were no questions or options clearly posted to add travel insurance to my trip. I thought it would come up at the end. After I finished the booking I realized I never added it anywhere on my confirmation papers. When I called back right away the lady I spoke to said I needed to call back at a later time. I emailed the company as well. The next day I received an email saying that I could add that on by going onto the website but I didn’t see anything on the website so I called. I was told the price would be 279 a person instead of 230. When I questioned the man he looked into it and then said I’m not able to add it on since the trip was paid in full. I was never told there was a time limit.
After two phone calls I got the information that I had up to one day from booking or one day from paying in full to add this on. I did this but was told to call back. Nice service. This particular man also told me that insurance is only for **. Just because I am ** I have no rights if something comes up and I need to cancel? My husband and I both have elderly parents.
Another issue is nowhere on the website did they state the fees were in American money. I’m departing from Toronto and had in my mind Canadian funds. My mistake; however; this should be clearly stated with the price per person for hotel and flights. I have purchased a vacation package from this company before and it was booked with an agent. I’m obviously not an agent knowing the ins and outs of the websites. Not a user friendly website or a company who cares for their customers. Very disappointing. Do not book through this company.

We called to reschedule our trip with Apple Vacations and this took over 38 days to complete (no I am not joking, I have pages of notes in a notebook from every day regarding who I talked to and what I was being told-which was MANY different things).
I had to spend HOURS on the phone daily with customer service being bounced around from representative to representative in various departments (because NO ONE there knows who deals with what---so unorganized/undertrained individuals) who then had to read through the entire notes section to get caught up. Apple vacations NEVER called or contacted me, I ALWAYS had to contact them. Booking with Apple went fine - online, no problems. However, our flight was canceled and we had to reschedule for the day before. We had to call Delta separately but got it taken care of easily. Then, we called Apple to add another day to our reservation. After 2 hours on hold, it was determined that the hotel was full and that was all they could do. I called again, and this time it was over 3 hours, but they called the hotel and got a room for the extra night. They said to pay the difference at the hotel. Next day, the new itinerary is sent out with no extra night added on, and a week later, we got a notice that we weren't paid in full and our trip would be canceled if we didn't pay, so we did.
Finally, our trip. No one was there to pick us up from the airport; apple had never changed the day (I requested it!). They initially couldn't find us because our name was input incorrectly (last name first). Then the hotel requested payment for the additional room. We had to call apple at check-in, but they could not verify our second payment so we had to pay the hotel again. Now we are trying to get a refund but I am doubtful. The hotel itself was wonderful, and very accommodating, but Apple Vacations provided more stress and chaos than I've ever experienced in my life. I was actually dreading this trip to paradise because of them! I intend to report them as fraudulent if they do not refund us the extra payment.

Booked a vacation for the family to Cancun. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Found a price cheaper, same exact dates, etc. Called within 24 hrs. They refuse to honor. Tried to cancel and they said I was not getting back the insurance. I paid 1200.00 with Apple Vacations vs. Expedia 898.00. Never will I Purchased vacations with them again.

I am sad to say, I used Apple many times in the past before they were bought out a year ago, but will NEVER use them again. This last trip all traveling parties purchased travel protection, like we always do, but when one of the parties couldn't travel due to a death in the family, I spent endless weeks and hours on the phone and emailing the company to get a travel credit. Then when they finally issued the credit they had shorted me almost $1500. After months of dealing with this issue with no resolve and employees that can only answer phones not help resolve anything, I have given up.
No one can ever give me a straight answer and they make it impossible for you to resolve any issue. Now, I go and try to book a short trip to at least use my other $1500 they are telling me it's even less than it was before. This company lies, steals, scams and treats its customers like trash. At this point I will be out almost $3000 but will not give them another dime! Never ever use APPLE VACATIONS!!
