I had no problems getting a refund for my trip after it had to be canceled. I completed the proper forms and submitted other required paperwork and my claim was approved in a timely matter. Check was issued shortly thereafter.

I had been looking forward to going to St. Maarten for the 1st time when Hurricane Irma struck. Thankfully I had insurance on both my flight AND my resort. Both claims were paid. It took a little more time for the flight claim to come through but that was only because so many people were affected. All in all I am very pleased.

Thank God I purchased insurance with your company. I had a trip planned and when Hurricane Harvey made landfall I was dispatched to help with the hurricane relief. I am a police officer. Had I not purchase the insurance I probably would have lost the money I paid for the flight.

I have used Allianz for a couple of trips and also will be using them for my upcoming cruise from Barcelona, Spain to Rome, Italy in March and have been completely satisfied with them. My recent cruise with my daughter was an occasion where having insurance with Allianz really came in handy as our flight back home had a 5 hour layover in Dublin, Ireland which was fine with us as we would see a little of Dublin, but then they delayed our flight another 5 hours causing us to miss our connecting flight which we had to rebook for the next day as this flight arrived in Boston, MA at 11:30 p.m., so we also had to stay overnight. Allianz promptly sent me a check for the new airline fare and Aer Lingus paid for our hotel stay so I was not out any additional money for this trip.

AIRLINE TICKET CANCELATION - I was very pleased with the ease of filing this claim and the response time, as well as being kept aware of its progress. Being provided the forms online I was able to download all receipts and needed documents, including the doctors' pages. The refund was sent as promised.

We requested a refund, because our son's military assignment was rescheduled. While filling out the forms and gathering required supporting documents, Hurricane Harvey hit. Allianz Global Assistance is great to refund full my hotel because due to IRMA hurricane. Everything are cancelled due to IRMA hurricane. Hotwire hotel won't refund me back. So Allianz Global Assistance is able to help me to full refund. That is good!

I had an awesome experience. I was hesitant of the process at first but for me it went very smoothly. I was driving a rental car and a semi truck flicked a rock up and cracked the windshield of the car I was driving. I was able to complete and submit everything online and via fax. My claim was approved and the customer service was great!

I booked a round trip flight to Florida during hurricane season. I am so glad I got flight insurance! I couldn't reschedule the trip, so I had to be reimbursed. This was Hurricane Irma, so I know Allianz was busy. They got my reimbursement back to me within 10 days.

I don't normally get travel insurance but for some reason I did for my trip back home for a wedding. Turns out it was a great decision because I had a family medical emergency that forced me to change my travel plans. Allianz reimbursed me after I submitted my claim for the $125 change fee. It was great that I bought this with my airfare, especially if you are connecting flights then it's worth it. My flight was delayed causing to miss the connecting flight and my non-refundable destination hotel booking fee was reimbursed by Allianz.

Couldn't make a flight because of weather concerns (Irma). Two weeks later, had the refund check. I didn't get any hassle or nonsensical calls from peons in a call center. Just a notification that it was being reviewed and another letting me know I was approved.

My mother lives abroad and we bought the insurance to have her covered while in USA. We did use for a medical consultation and reimbursement came timely. However the check came in her name and since she do not live or has an account in USA, it could not be cashed. Tried to explain, gave my same address but unless she get something notarized in USA where is not possible, it could not be resolved. Tried to call the office abroad who said the USA branch should resolved, and in USA they point me abroad, loss of time and a useless check in my hand.

The policy was exactly what we needed, especially because we had to cancel a trip with non-refundable airline tickets. Even in the midst of hurricanes Harvey and Irma, our claim was processed extremely fast. My only problem was that the instructions as to what documents I needed to submit showed a huge number of documents, and I was not sure which ones applied to me. In other words, the list was not customized to me and I was confused.

It was very easy to make a claim on this travel insurance. Hurricane Harvey caused us a travel nightmare, we were kept whole with Allianz. I will use them in the future and recommend others to do so... Thank you!

This was the first time I used travel insurance; I fully expected not to have to use it, figuring it was just for my peace of mind since traveling has become a bit of a challenge on occasion for my family and friends. Well, I did need to use my insurance. My trip out to San Antonio was crazy. I ended up in Houston; driving to San Antonio, arriving there 18 hours after my original arrival time. Once, I determined that my travel insurance would cover the rental car I needed to complete my trip to San Antonio, I filed the paperwork and received my reimbursement in a timely fashion. It was great and I will be using Allianz again.

In fact, I have an existing policy with you for a trip in December, 2017. It's a good feeling to be able to travel outside the United States and know you have reliable insurance coverage.

First time I used Allianz. Because of Irma, I had to cancel a flight to West Palm Beach. Filled out the forms online, attached documentation and within a couple of weeks was notified I would be receiving a check. Check came soon after. Very good experience.

I had an accident, went to urgent care. Cut short our trip so I could be home. I was reimbursed for the airfare, but the medical expenses were denied. This seemed strange to me. I assumed the insurance would pay for medical expenses as well as the cost of the interrupted trip's airfare.

My 8 years old son went to Brasil to spend summer with my mother. Purchasing a policy with Allianz was the best decision I made. It turns out that he had trouble breathing while away and had to be seen by a doctor. I contacted Allianz from the US and was given details, of what to do to have Thomas seen by a Doctor and how to file a claim afterwards. My son was very well taken care of. I even received a call from Allianz to check on his well being days later! Once they came back home, with all the receipts and medical report, I applied for a refund and in less than 10 days a check was in my mailbox. International health insurance coverage is that thing you pay hoping never to use. Not only because nobody wants to get sick on vacation but also because of the hassle the after service involves. Great and fast service for two airline tickets ten days from submitting paperwork to receiving refund check. All paperwork was completed online. I use Allianz insurance company for all my travel. A very good insurance to use.

My parents were in a very bad car accident this summer, and I was not able to attend my trip to Ireland. While I did have to fill out a good portion of paperwork, they were very respectful and empathetic throughout the process, and I received my plane fare back within a very reasonable amount of time. Very easy.

I was not very happy about my last encounter, since I made a payment on the 22nd of September and not until the 2nd of October I was notified that my payment had not gone through. I guess there was an error as they took my bank information, and I wasn't notified about the mistake. I am trying hard to be on time on my payments, and can't afford any mistake at this time, rebuilding my credit is important and hope to avoid future mistakes like this.

I have always purchased insurance but (thankfully) never used it. I purchase it primarily for Medi-vac when traveling out of the country. I never imagined I would need it to help me here in the US and I have a new appreciation for the importance of insurance. We were stuck in the Galveston/Houston mess when Harvey hit the area. Our cruise was cancelled (a little close to the wire) but the airports were down anyway. We did some work and managed to get out - picking up a stranded tourist looking for a way to Dallas and after 4 days were on our way home to Seattle. Allianz was fabulous with my claim and I received the checks in an expedited fashion. I hope I will never need to use my insurance again - but it is comforting to have a company like them behind me.

I have a medical condition and always buy insurance. This is the first time I've needed it. Relatively quick payment, but company should specify in the policy what documents are needed to file a claim. Had to make second doctor's appoint just to complete their specific paperwork. If I had known there was specific paperwork, I would have brought it to my first appt.

This trip insurance is well worth the price. The company was easy to work with and quick to respond to our claim. They fulfilled our full claim and our expectations. A great experience, we will purchase again on future trips.

Our experience was excellent and we are glad we opted to insure our rental car. The T&C were easy to understand, comprehensive, and gave us the insurance we needed when driving in unfamiliar roads. The iPhone app was wonderful and it was very easy to submit a claim. We will definitely choose insurance from Allianz again. It was difficult to remember our policy number, however, but I kept it in a separate Apple Note. Retaining it in the app would be a better experience. We have submitted all documents required and had been approved, yet Your company does not want to refund us!!! Last time when I called, I was told they need US Bank account. I am not a resident of US, in my application for insurance it stated my residence address and your company accepted to do the insurance and now that payment has to be made for the claim THEY ARE REFUSING. Will never recommend your company.

Disappointing coverage. Did not cover what I needed - no on the phone medical assistance - no trip delay coverage unless hospitalized. Difficult to call in - made to wait on hold for a long time. Unlikely to purchase again.

We had never heard of Allianz so we really had no way of knowing what type of company they were. This is a great company. I became sick on vacation and received some bills. When I got home I submitted the forms and within a short time I was reimbursed in full for my medical expenses. I will use them again for all my travels. I have used other companies for my travels in the past and have submitted medical claims but they were not handled well. I was pleased to see an anonymous deposit in my bank account for the amount of the airfare incurred by our forced exit from Cuba (Hurricane Irma). However, the deposit was a surprise because Allianz did not contact me to say my claim was accepted or that they had done it. Another insurance company's name was on the deposit. Better communication would have helped.

I found the process to obtain my refund reasonable. However, a few concerns. Most of your employees have very thick accents and it is difficult to understand them so communication on the phone was challenging. Secondly, I spoke with an employee and indicated on my online form that I wanted my refund direct deposited. I provided my account information both in writing and over the phone. However, my refund was still mailed to me by check which took substantially longer to receive.

They adjusted the claim from my recent international travel and the medical expenses we incurred while overseas swiftly and were very friendly and helpful when I called them with questions. I have used them in the past and absolutely recommend them for travel insurance!

When hurricane Harvey hit, I needed to cancel my flight. United Airlines would only offer to change my flight date. This didn't work, due to unsafe travel in Texas. Unlike the airlines, Allianz made the refund process easy and painless. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who plans to purchase an airline ticket.

My family was planning on a trip to Florida and we wanted a halfway stop on the drive down so we found a hotel and used Priceline to book the hotel rooms. I decided to opt for the trip insurance and I am glad that I did! Hurricane Irma came through and changed our plans and we had to cancel. I went online submitted a claim, and in a day or so (maybe less) I revived a claim package. Most of the forms were pre-printed and I just had to provide a couple receipts and then I faxed it to the Allianz 800 number they provided and within a day I got another email saying they received my forms and were reviewing my claim. Shortly thereafter got another email saying my claim was approved and my refund was already deposited. Very easy process.

First of all, I highly recommend Allianz for everyone. I first used them for clients when I was a Travel Agent. I've used them for myself at least 20 times. Their prices are very fair. What's even better is their customer service and the speed at which they settle claims. I've had claims a couple of times, and the process was incredibly easy. Well worth it!

Allianz promptly refunded my hotel cost for a trip cancelled due to the hurricane. I appreciate the smooth and quick response. Online form submission was also fairly easy, though it could be streamlined and the choices could be clarified a bit.

Filed claim. I didn't get the money back that I lost, so it covered just a little bit... Thought it would help me out, but it didn't. I was on the tarmac for 6 hours! And didn't get compensated for EU laws. It's just disappointing when you pay extra for insurance and it doesn't come through.

I recently had to rely on this policy, on account of my travel being prevented by Hurricane "Irma". After filing my claim online and submitting my information with it (which was guided by clear and succinct instructions provided on the website), I received return contact within hours and further contact within days. Without further "hoops to jump through", as so often is the case in such matters, I was notified of my claim being accepted and payment, in accordance with policy terms, was being processed to me. I have spent my working career in the insurance field and I find this level of claim handling to be SUPERB; this level of customer service and contact to be UNSURPASSED!

I purchased travel insurance for a trip my husband and I had planned to Barbados. On the day prior to our departure, my brother had to have surgery. I called Allianz and explained to them that I could not take the trip. They clearly explained to me what I needed to do. I did everything from their website, sent in a document signed by my brother’s doctor, and within about 10 days we had a full refund for both flights. Luckily, I was able to cancel the hotel without penalty. I would definitely use their services again.

Claim presented due to Hurricane Irma. Claim is stills not settles, it has been more than 20 days. I feel claim should have been handled more expeditiously based on the fact, the cancellation was due to a natural disaster. Very dissatisfied.

I purchased a trip to Miami from Detroit and Hurricane Irma caused my flight to be interrupted. It was very easy to make the claim. I will get insurance with this company every time. I did not think it would be so fast and easy to make the claim online, but it was.

We have never purchased flight insurance before but did with our trip to Charleston. Call it intuition or whatever but our flight was to be September 11 - the day and almost the exact time the hurricane hit. We canceled our trip and received a prompt, accurate refund. Thanks so much!

I always purchase travel insurance from Allianz when I fly just in case something unforeseen happens. Before our most recent trip my wife became terribly ill and couldn't leave home so I travelled alone and cancelled her reservation with airline incurring a $200 fee. After returning home I have tried to contact Allianz numerous times to file a claim. Their phone message directs you to the claims website which doesn't work or accept your submittal. You can't get a message in or a live person on the line so how can you conduct business with them. They ARE quick to accept your money when you want their insurance. They will never get another nickel out of me again and I WILL be sure to spread the word. And I don't believe those other 5 star ratings. They come across as fake.

It was very easy to file a claim and also to contact someone when I had a question. The process to pay the claim was very good and very punctual. No complaints whatsoever. We would definitely recommend Allianz to all our friends and family.

I planned a trip to Ohio for my son's wedding with a friend and ended up in the hospital. They paid one full ticket and 64% of the second ticket. They claimed that it exceeded the maximum coverage and referred me to the policy. It was easy to get a live representative on the phone.

I spoke to one of your reps, George, who was very helpful. I explained what happened. He immediately emailed the forms we would need to complete in order to get reimbursement. We unfortunately had a missed connection due to mechanical problems with our aircraft. This was very disappointing on our first day of vacation. Lucky for us, we had purchased travel insurance with Allianz, really more to insure our trip if we had to cancel. Never really thinking we could miss a connection. We are so glad we did and the online process to file a claim is user friendly. We received our reimbursement for our expenses relates to our missed connection with 10 days after filing our claim using the direct deposit option. For medical reasons, we had to cancel our trip in August, 2017. It was handled professionally and promptly, and we were reimbursed for fees incurred by United Airlines for this cancellation. We were very pleased with how easily this was handled and how quickly it was resolved.

I purchased this form of insurance to travel abroad. However, I was laid off the week of my trip and then became displaced by Hurricane Irma. My original claim was denied, even though I provided the appropriate paperwork from my ex-employer. Then I explained couldn't travel due to Hurricane Irma, they ** laughed at me. They insisted that you could of had extended stay then catch a flight when hurricane goes away, lmao. I wouldn't recommend this POS company to anyone, if you check their reviews they screw everyone over, even those who follow the rules. Use someone else, this company sucks **. I had to get a lawyer and file a claim with the State Attorney of Florida! THEY ARE DENYING THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE, STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!!!

The best, fastest, reliable, helpful, professional, compassionate insurance you want to take for your next trip. We had to cancel our trip due to illness. The airlines did not want to refund our money even with a doctor's letter, but Allianz did. We will never go anywhere without this insurance.

I bought my travel insurance from Allianz Global Insurance here in USA but I was able to use it in Manila, Philippines. On June 29, 2017, while in Manila I was diagnosed of Pulmonary infection in a local hospital and was confined until July 2, 2017. When I got back here in USA, I filed a medical claim with Allianz Global Assistance Insurance and it took only two (2) weeks for them to refund my claim.

The process was rather prolonged and did require some repeated sending of documents but outcome was good. The trip was cancelled secondary to job loss which was a covered expense and did obtain a refund. Communications from company was good.

Was told my check was in the mail and would take 10 business days to receive. That was Friday before Labor Day and even accounting for holiday and weekends, as of today Sept 25, have not received Check!! Very disappointed with lack of quality service.

Easy Service to use, will definitely use again! The online process to apply for a refund was easy to use and the customer service reps were top notch. Never have purchased insurance before and thought I would try it this time, just so having a son who became ill and I was unable to attend my trip- they took the worry out of my expenses in my travels and I was able to focus on my son's time of need.

Appreciated the quick turnaround for my submission on my medical reimbursement claim. Only thing that I would have liked better would have been being told that the paperwork submitted was sufficient/adequate for the claim. Two days after I purchased my non-refundable airline tickets & travel insurance, I stepped in a 6 foot hole and ended up in hospital with 15 breaks in my right leg. Totally unable to travel. I filed the claim when I got out of the hospital which made it pending. When my next Dr. appt, I had Dr. complete the Physician form. Came home and uploaded to my claim. Within a few days my claim was paid and money auto deposited to my bank account.

I had rented a car for the holiday weekend, while out of town I received a flat tire. I asked the rental company did I need to file a claim with insurance and was told NO. Two months later there was a charge on my account for the tire. I contacted Allianz and they took care of it immediately and refunded my account the charge for the tire. I called to notify Allianz that I could not travel due to my Dad's health. The person was very polite and pleasant to work with. He gave me all the information I needed. Always buy trip insurance!!! You never know when you will need it! Twice our flights were canceled until the next day due to weather. Refunds thru this company were VERY fast and easy. I work in IT and sometimes equipment goes down and I have come in on the weekend for emergencies. Unfortunately, this happen on the weekend that I purchased tickets on. I purchased insurance for situations like this and this is my first ever having to file a claim on "Event Tickets". All the documents required was submitted and they stated it'll take 10 businesses days. I have not heard anything via email on status but have checked on the website and shown that docs were being reviewed so on the 17th "Business" day, I decided to call and "Jeff" put me on hold and then stated that they need more documents.

My husband and I were all set to visit a mountain resort, reservations made, plane tickets, rental car, the works!! Thankfully, I had purchased insurance through Allianz. I give them 0!!! Purchased insurance for two sports events tickets in which said, "If you can't make it, you get a refund." The next day my grandfather passed and because I'm Jewish we mourn for seven days. I called to say I couldn't go and they wouldn't consider any type of refund unless I had a death certificate. The game was in 3 days and a death certificate won't be received from 7-10 business days. Even with that they can't promise my refund. I cannot just ask my grandmother for his death certificate to get a refund for two tickets. It's disgusting days after he's passed. While they still may not give me money back if I don't go to the event. Disgusting.

I was pleased, when I became unexpectedly sick, that my flight insurance actually reimbursed me. The timeline was reasonable, and it took a lot of pressure off during a highly stressful time. I would purchase again for sure. It's worth it, since airlines make just about every flight non-refundable these days.

They sent me a check right away no questions asked, I did give them a lot of documentation paperwork. I had to file with our primary insurance company Blue Cross first and was denied by them. Our child of 10 years old suffers from extreme anxiety and depression. She had a major event and we were not able to travel and leave her with grandparents. I'm so glad I paid for the Insurance when I purchased my Airline tickets, in the past I had never done this, but I'm very grateful I did. Have incurred medical expenses abroad. Have filed a claim since May of 2017 and no decision has been made. I have submitted all the requested documents 5 times and a decision still not being made. This company will not pay for your medical expenses even if your trip was covered. I would warn anybody to stay away from this company because they will not honor their policy. I have called and emails millions times and nothing is being done. Please do not buy any insurance from this company.

Claim process was fairly easy. Claim form indicated clearly what was required to file the claim. Once I sent the claims in, I was notified that it was being reviewed about a week after I sent it in. Once the claim was accepted, I had my money via direct deposit in about 5 days.

I purchased a travel insurance coverage and when I have problems Global Alliance denied my claim or assistance. They told me I'm not cover under their policy. Typically I have delay with my airline twice and I called them once that's what I got. I always purchase the insurance with any ticket I bought either domestic or international but I never call them until last time I have an issue. Please for anyone who willing to purchase insurance from this company, let them put everything on writing otherwise you will be stranded or regret of getting insurance. This scam by trick.

My wife and I had booked an early August cruise to Norway out of Amsterdam including airfare with Holland American Lines in March. In late May I experienced a herniated disc. None of the traditional remedies seemed to work and I was scheduled for back surgery in early August. Our travel agent had recommended Allianz over other alternatives and we are certainly glad we listened to her.

Received excellent instructions on how to file when I phoned and talked to the representative. The filing packet was emailed immediately as a PDF. As a result I could fill out the forms and drop the medical portion off at the doctor's office in a timely manner. The forms were emailed and I had the trip cancellation check within 2 weeks. After being told my claim was paid, the Allianz reimbursement check bounced a week ago according to my bank. I received an email from Allianz that there was a problem with their payment. I am still waiting for the money.

I appreciated the quick accurate response to my dilemma, then I received a check, I deposited it and 3 days later I got a letter from Allianz saying, "Don't deposit the check because it will bounce; we will send a 2nd check EARLY next week to cover the 1st check and any charges your bank charged you for a returned check if you already deposited it." Although this was appreciated it's already Friday and still no check. Life is too short to have to spend time and energy on this kind of thing, just do the right thing by people.
