Any time I have work that falls under the tasks that these guys do, I'll always give these guys my business, they're that awesome. Stan, Keith and Mike aren't out to make a buck, they genuinely want to steer you in the right direction as far as the safety and reliability of your vehicle. They will even tell you they won't do a job if they know it isn't going to help the issue you're experiencing. Their integrity and professionalism is second to none.

On September 9, 2015 I went to Mavis Discount Tires in Cobleskill, New York. I had gone there to have shocks and new tires installed on my 2011 Ram 1500 Truck. The staff was really great with their professionalism and ability to help me. Because of a problem with my rear shocks they could not fix the problem, but they tried very hard. The staff was able to install the tires I wanted and at a price that made me very happy. I will continue to go there for my vehicle service because they gave me a feeling of confidence. I took my van to the North Buffalo location yesterday late afternoon. Not only did they diagnose the problem very quickly to my surprise (a seized calliper), they had it repaired within an hour with no padded parts list or recommendations of things I did not need, which was an even larger yet very welcome surprise. The staff was professional and friendly and I was very pleased with the work that was done. I would recommend coming here to anyone who wants professional and courteous service.

I saw the store, walked in and an Indian man (I believe Russel **) had answered all my queries and was very patient with all of my inquiries. I went back to the store on 9/8/2015 and he was there. He remembered me and serviced me immediately. The process was quick and I was happy with the service and the treatment I received.

I shopped around for a while for tires and a place to have them installed. After reading online and speaking with a few fellow employees, I decided to use Mavis. The shop in Port Jefferson, NY is only about a year old and close enough to home. After deciding to go with the Cooper Discoverer A/T3 I decided to use Mavis. I have been bringing all of my cars to Mavis in Pawling since they opened. I have always been treated fairly and the work done is exceptional.

Brought the car in to have the brakes checked. It turned out that the pads needed to be replaced. In other places I would probably have been told I needed a brake job so I was very happy with the honesty! Service was great and Peter was friendly and helpful.

We have heard the advertisements, saw the signs posted in the windows at the store - Buy 3 Tires Get One Free. Well this is not exactly the case. This is just another little bit of distasteful corporate propaganda. The "special" pricing only applies to certain tires and in all likelihood it does not apply to the tire that you may want or need to buy.

Everything was going great as I was talking the Man working on my car. When I think he was the shop foreman came in and told the employee not to talk to me, that it wasn't his job to do that. He was rude to that man in front of Me and the Manager did nothing. The Man working on my car has done my service before as well and I was happy with the work. I was happy with the work this time as well just not the attitude. That Foreman should not be able to treat the other employees like that and the manager should have stepped up and said something. I was happy that the Man working on my car talked to me for 2 reasons... 1. He knows what wrong due to his hands being on the car, and 2nd because I asked the question in the First Place. He did not approach me.

I was treated respectively and courteously. They explain everything that was not clear and the bill was manageable. I did not walk out of the store Feeling I was taken advantage of cause I do not understand cars. Didn't buy anything that was not needed for my car.

Mavis claimed they replaced both front brakes and rotors... Balance needed to be adjusted rear brakes as suggested by Mavis mechanic etc... and etc... So far so good. Let's see.

The manager ** runs an excellent Mavis shop in Smithtown, the one at 222 W. Main St. (Route 25) near the corner with Edgewood Ave/Brooksite Drive. I've been going there for many years. Most of the managers have been good to very good. ** is excellent.

Tried this new location at Hopewell after positive experiences in other locations. I went in for an oil change and despite a long wait for more major service they got me in and out quickly. The staff was very friendly and responsive and did not push a lot of extra services (filters, transmission, struts etc.) I will be back.

I am always satisfied with their service, timing, and the convenience of location. Everyone's always pleasant, respectively acknowledges me by my name and very informative.

These guys were amazing. I was a bit skeptical because of the reviews I read but I decided to try it anyway. And I'm really glad I did. Everyone was great, from the front desk guy (Edwin) to the head mechanic. They told me the things that I didn't need done that I thought I did. I had no idea my brakes had gotten so bad until I failed an NYS inspection. I got a pretty steep quote with questionable part choices elsewhere, so I called Mavis. They had me all set up the next day (a Saturday to boot!) for about $150 less than the "other guys". Now I'm off on adventures again, and I've found a new mechanic establishment I can trust. I will definitely be coming here again. It definitely doesn't hurt that they have a bunch of fairly comfy chairs, great bathrooms, and a quick stroll around nets you one of the nicer Wal-marts, a Tops, and a bunch of eating spots (Wendy's among them). Convenient spots in Camillus and Liverpool.

These people were wonderful, they squeezed me in at the last minute. I had a bad day, I had a flat on my way into work that morning. The only time I could get there was when they were getting ready to close and they stayed open. My tires were changed within 10 minutes! They made a really bad day a lot better. Their customer service was excellent. I will be returning every time I need tires.

They are very professional and courteous. I went in for new tires and the young man took me into the garage to show me that I needed new shocks/struts and new rear brakes. He told me I could get the sale price for the shocks/struts whenever I returned. And even got a discount. I will definitely be returning!! Very happy with their service and prices!!!

I've been going to Mavis in Queensbury NY for 2 years now with the same vehicle, in fact so many times that the guys there know me by name. Every time they are friendly, show me what's wrong and explain what needs to be done, always giving me the best price possible. I can't recommend this store more, they are just a great group of guys, know what they're doing, won't rip you off and always give you the best prices! More than that, they'll fix something for free if they just worked on it and and you still have problems, which they've done for me on brakes and leaks.

By far I rate Mavis the best in Quality and service. Most respectful personnel I have come in contact with and have gone to many places in the past since 2007 - all I deal with is Mavis. First time I went there tire wasn't in stock. They told me to come back in an hour which I did. Prompted and reliable. I then ask them if they could stock a few being this great state of New York and their pot holes... lol.. They told me no problem and my size is rare. I drive a low profile tire from Mercedes. I was just there the other day - total wait time from start to finish less than 45 mins. As a Business owner I give them five stars and tell all my friends to go there.

I got a flat tire after hitting steel plates and massive pothole in road, apparently my tires were bald. I was in need of all new tires (I never got my alignments over 7 months ago like Mount Kisco had suggested, making me bald before usual time). I had no money and was able to get their credit card in less than 5 minutes! The front desk (Eryk) was such a pro and very assuring. The mechanics did a great job and it was a pleasurable experience that even though I usually go to Mount Kisco, as I live in Bedford Hills, I could still be referred by them to Ossining and have the same great experience! I would definitely use them again and refer friends!

The Mavis Discount Tire on lower Central Avenue in Albany, NY, is a street-wise, fairly-run, efficient place. You can't go wrong with Leo and his team.

I took my car in to have a flat patched. Cost me $35. By the next night, the tire was flat again. I tried to change the tire, but the incompetent jerk who originally did my tire tightened the ** lugs so much, that I stripped it trying to get it off, and was unable to. I want my money back for the tire and new lugs and will complain to corporate if I have to in order to get it. This is not the first time I have had issues with them but it will be the last because I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN and everyone I know I will tell not to go either.

I called for the replacement tire I needed on a Sunday. By Monday at 1 p.m. the tire was in. I waited 5 minutes to be taken and in less than 1/2 hour, the tire was replaced, balanced, and the tire pressure gauge reset. Service was friendly and efficient.

I have been going to Cole or Mavis for 25 years. I really like the store, personnel and the prices. The rebates especially. Although the discount at purchase time would be better. I have had only good experiences in all that time. I love when they keep a price quote in the computer. Makes life all the more easy. Thanks Mavis.

I needed to have my brakes replaced and tires swapped from my wife’s car to mine ASAP. I called Mavis on a Sunday to see when they would be able to do the work and they were able to fit me in that same day and complete the job within 2 hours of me dropping the cars off. Also, the cost for new brakes with them was about $350 less than the lowest price I found elsewhere. Great services on top of it all. Highly recommend.

I visited your Queensbury shop yesterday. Manager Dan yelling in front of customers, saying their customers are the bottom of the barrel. Treating the employees like garbage. I left before getting my car taken care of, Dan was too busy yelling at employees! I have never seen a manager treat their employees so poorly before. How does he expect to keep employees when he talks to them the way he did? I was embarrassed for them! I left and took my business elsewhere, where I'm not being called "bottom of the barrel".

The Staff at Mavis has been very accommodating and very helpful to me on several occasions. This time, they were able to correct an issue with my exhaust as it related to my O2 sensor. I walked into the Mavis about an hour before closing. I figured I'd take a chance and if they can get a wheel alignment done for me. I just got the truck new and the wheel alignment was off. I've got the truck out in South Jersey so I didn't want to go back for the alignment. I talked to Ryan at Mavis. He told me he had a car in front of me but he would get me done before closing. All these guys stayed late and got all the cars that were there. Great customer service, I will be definitely going back.

Mavis is the best. Great prices, great products, and great work. I've been going there for several years and have always been pleased. I've been to Monro Muffler, Midas, Firestone, and the other chains and have always been overcharged. If you can't drop your car off, expect to wait a little while. Quality work takes time.

This is not the first time I have had tires installed. They are always great service and best pricing. They will do their best to get you in and out. I usually leave the car or rim there because I want it done right. But on one occasion I needed it quick and they accommodated me. I have no complaints and will go back to them when I need more tires for any of the 5 cars/trucks in my household.

I had a excellent experience at Mavis Discount Tires in New Windsor, NY. I went in on a crowded Saturday afternoon with an almost flat tire. I was in a rush as I had a doctor's appt for my 1 year old. The workers were amazing. They rushed my car in and made sure I got everything I needed and didn't try to upsell me on things I didn't need. Everyone was very kind and courteous and even dealt with my 1 yr old and I dancing in the facility to keep her occupied. On 6/20/15 I went to Mavis to have my brakes done at approximately 10am. I was informed of other complications such as a caliper having to be replaced on both sides, rotors, as well as a brake fluid flush. My car was completed at approximately 4:45 pm. More than ample time to complete the job. Today on 7/31/15 after visiting The Nissan Dealership I was informed my brake fluid was filthy and needed flushing. I was also advised that if it was changed in June it would not be that dirty. I re-visited the Mavis in which discovered the service was never completed but I was charged for it. The first manager Richard that I spoke with lied and said they sometimes use brown brake fluid to try and cover up what they did not do. The other Manager Shawn then rectified the issue. Thank God for the Nissan Dealership because I would have never known. I will never visit that place again. Stay Clear.

I needed 2 front tires and didn't have much time. I was in and out and the guys were very friendly and professional; it didn't seem like they were trying to sell me something I didn't need. I've got nothing but good things to say about my experience. The guys really helped me out of a jam.

I went into Cole muffler to fix a loud muffler. The staff were honest and repaired the exhaust with some clamps and I was out the door in less than an hour. They could have easily said I needed a new muffler and pipes and I would have wasted a lot of money. I always go to Cole's for brake and exhaust work. Thank you.

7/29/2015 9:30 AM. Appointment was made to patch, not plug (specified) a Michelin tire that had a thread embedded screw. Tire (off car) was brought to Mavis store (Greenwich Riverside and had to be left for 4 hours). (Job should take 20 minutes at most). When wheel picked up, obvious plug was used with nipple protruding from thread. Call to service manager Omar ** resulted in his saying it was "patched". Obvious lie. We asked for email confirmation and got one supporting plugging, no admission of misrepresentation, no apology, no responsibility taken. In fact he claimed that he did not speak with my wife and I can "think what I like". Find an honest tire dealer somewhere else.

I had my car fixed at Mavis Tire on Monday July 26. My car needed a lot of front end work. I was so pleased with how informative the front desk folks were (especially Tony). He provided me with options and worked to get me the best price. My car drives like a dream (no kidding). I'm grateful for the professionalism of Mavis as well as their expertise.

I was extremely pleased with the quality of service and genuine concern for the well-being of my car and my safety while driving it. I came in thinking I needed to buy new tires. The attendant informed that I didn't need new tires, just air and took the time to show me how to tell when they need replacing. The other attendant who was pumping the air showed me a nail that was sticking into one of my tires causing the air to leak. They repaired my tire, put air in the rest of them and I ended up spending way less than I thought I would. The honesty was refreshing and the service was great. I feel like I can trust them with my car and not to charge me for unnecessary work... especially as a first time car owner.

Steve the manager and Aubrey the technician was very courteous professional and very good at what they do! So much so I'm bringing my good car... my 1988 300 zx turbo tomorrow to work on it because they're trustworthy.

Went in to Mavis to see what the noise was in the right front wheel. We were helped by Chris and John. They were great. Had the suggested work done. Drove off and had to call within 5 mins. The same noise was there. We had asked for Mavis to drive the car first and they didn't. Called and John told us to come in the next day and he would take care of it. We went in early the next day, John wasn't there, and asked Mavis to again drive the car. They refused. But was told it must be the motor mounts and we don't work with motor. Asked again to drive the car. Still they refused. So now we are off to another garage.

Customer service with speed of service is just outstanding! I have brought many family vehicles to the Huntington location through the years, all ranging in condition, year of purchase, and body type. They have proven time and time again to be trustworthy and reliable. I have never been refused service, even without an appt, no matter what the time we arrived. Once at closing in poor weather conditions, they took the time to look at my car and do whatever they could to help me to get back on the road safely. They didn't even charge me for the minor repair to my tire and it was well after closing by the time I left! Who does that?

The Mgr. Mike was very knowledgeable and friendly. He assessed the parts needed and spoke to Dave who performed a very professional installation of the parts. The service was quick and the quality was first rate. Thanks Guys.

I had to get my brake pads and back rotors changed. I was allowed to bring my own pads and rotors and it didn't cost me too much for them to put it on.

We received 4 new tires and we were in and out quickly.
