Went for tire replacement, oil change, brakes and wheel alignment. It was quick and price was good.

Muffler installation: Dropped the car off early in the morning and picked it up same day. Price was less than expected and glad to get my car fixed in a timely manner.

I needed my car inspected and went to Mavis without an appointment. They were very helpful and friendly and checked me in quickly. The inspection along with power Steering Flush Service were completed quickly and at a very acceptable and reasonable price. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend Mavis.

I went to Mavis in Yorktown Heights on Friday afternoon to get a quick alignment for my Honda Odyssey Mini-Van and was greeted with courteous service, an accurate explanation of how long it was going to take, and a job well done. Was a really positive experience.

The Mavis experience: An aggravated flat tire victim enters an immaculate air conditioned store; I'm greeted by friendly well trained staff. Customer data, history, etc. immediately appears on a large computer screen for immediate easy entry and updating. The vehicle is whisked away for inspection. Proceed to coffee area and customer work stations for a comfortable, brief wait. Staff summons you to have the tire problem explained clearly and shown to you. The work is authorized and completed within 30 minutes; additional diagnostics are done and professionally but not aggressively offered. Payment takes a second. Keys handed over. Flat tire victim leaves happy, wondering days later how most companies fail miserably in customer service where Mavis, doing something as seemingly mundane as fixing my tires, excels.

NYS inspection - Very professional. I mentioned that I was having a rattle under the car, and asked if they could check it out. It was a heat shield on the catalytic converter that was making the noise. They fixed it without a charge. Great job!

My experience at the Mavis Store located in Matamoras, PA was more than pleasant. The staff, especially the manager **, was more than helpful and accommodating to my needs! He was willing to give me a fair deal that beat the competitor's price, knowing I had a long drive back to Illinois and was tight on cash. My daughter lives out in the area and recommended I go there and ask for **, since he had previously accommodated her in a wonderful manner as well. I have never met someone who is willing to go above and beyond to make sure the customer is satisfied. Definitely NO bad taste left in my mouth after leaving the shop. I always bring my car to this Mavis because they always do good work. I do my oil, struts, tires and alignments here. **, the manager specifically stands out as a stellar member of the staff. Waiting room needs update (aesthetically).

I took my car for tire change and associated services. They took it. The guys did the tire change but would not do wheel alignment. When I went to pick the car, they said they don't even know how to check whether wheel alignment is needed or not, and they are not certified to make wheel alignments. They asked me to take the car to dealership to check and make the wheel alignment. His advice was – "drive the car and take your hands off the steering wheel, if it pulls to one side it needs wheel alignment, otherwise not." Such a POOR half service. Such service places must be put out of business.

Brought my Dodge Caravan in for inspection. Took about 20 min. They informed me of things to look for shortly as brakes pass but will need to be replaced soon. Always helpful when I bring my van or some friend's car. The area is always clean and quiet. Thank you Mavis.

Wheel alignment - It was a great experience due to the fact that I have been there before.

The courtesy showed to us at Mavis, was priceless. The time waiting for my vehicle to be done was not as long as I expected. They gave me an accurate account for was going on with my car. When they were done we were in shock for the price we had to pay, was not that expensive! Very happy customers.

I needed a new tire for my wife's car. I needed to match the tires that were already on the car. They had the tire I needed in stock. I figured that it would take a while to get the tire installed, but it was done very quickly. The staff was nice and they have a TV in the waiting room which is really nice. They have treated me well on every visit so far, so I will continue to bring my cars there.

I walked into Mavis Tire Company. They didn't have the tires on site but they had stock at the warehouse, promised me to have them in for 2:00 pm latest 2:30 pm, as they promised I was called to come in for service. I asked how long would it take for the services that included alignment, the attendant said about 1.5 hrs, no lie I walked out of the store exactly an hour and a half later very satisfied.

My Experience At Mavis In Great Neck, New York - I made an on-line appointment for a motor oil and filter change. I was pleasantly surprised when the job was started on time and completed in a reasonable amount of time. The staff was very professional.

I went to Mavis to repair/replace a ROF tire that couldn't hold pressure. I am covered with road Hazard insurance. The attendant ** communicated with the provider, ordered the tire and as promised installed it the next day. I paid up front and the provider will reimbursed me.

I was very pleased with both the service and the quality of work done on my car at Mavis in Franklin Square. ** was courteous and polite. He took my car in at the end of the day and stayed late to finish the job. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need or pressure me into purchasing anything more than what I needed for my car. I would definitely recommend this shop and in fact will be bringing my son's car there to have it serviced.

This location has always done a great job with all the cars I've owned. I specifically like that they have a lifetime guarantee on brake pads. I came in at 8:30 and I was done by 10:15. Not bad for an alignment and new back brake pads. I know them and I trust them.

The Mavis location I went to was recommended by a friend. My brakes were squeaking. I needed an oil change and I had a slow leak in my tire. The staff were nice, helpful, knowledgeable and took very good care of both my car and I. My car is in much better shape and I am definitely going back if anything else goes wrong with my car.

I asked to save my old tires and the technician wrapped each tire individually keeping my car clean. It was unexpected but very much appreciated.

Bought new tires and had car aligned. Shopped around, had a friend that works at a tire shop, and mavis still gave me the best price. Service was fast. Tires were put on went to alignment rack where they saw a bent trailing arm. Since part can only be done by dealer, was told to have it fixed and they'd realign my car for free. ** and the guys on route 9 Poughkeepsie did a great job!

This was the lowest price I found for the tires I needed, plus I got an inspection, alignment and oil change, all for a good price. The employees are friendly and helpful. They gave me a discount on the alignment and the oil change without my having to ask! I have shopped at Mavis for a while, and plan to keep doing so!

Mavis Tire has consistently provided best value for money in Service. The new tires were mounted and balanced quickly and how they will stack up after 50K miles or so is yet to be known.

The customer service was friendly, especially considerate considering my military employment. The oil change was cheap, fast and efficient.

My tires were mounted incorrectly which weakened the tire and ended up getting a huge bubble on the first and a flat on the replacement. First I was told it was because of a big pothole and absolutely positively no other reason which I did not hit btw. Then 2 days after that replacement same problem then was told "I have a feeling the tire was stretched upon mounting and that weakened it and a normal size bump which wouldn't have caused damage did." So why wasn't that the case the first time, same exact look.

Fixed in a timely manner. And to my satisfaction.

I have been to Mavis Twice this year. I replaced all of my 4 tires and about 2 to 3 weeks, I went and replaced the front rotors and brakes. Yesterday I notice a sound on my back tire and my neighbor was nice enough to check it for me and we realized 3 bolts were completely loose! I freaked out! I'm a single mother and I drive my son everywhere to school and to soccer games! How can they be so negligent and leave them loose! The tire could've come loose while driving and me and my son could have been seriously injured!! I want to get contacted by not the store manager, but by his boss! I'm supposed to come out and feel safe and not worry about something like that, and I want to know how are they going to compensate the fact that my son and myself could have been seriously injured. I don't have receipts of the dates that I went but i'm pretty sure they can look them up.

On 7/25/2014 I bought four tires from Mavis Tire in Middletown NY for my daughter's car. On 4/4/15 she got a flat tire from hitting a pothole and took the car to Mavis on Central Ave in Albany NY. Unfortunately she did not have the receipt from the original purchase and the associate said he couldn't find it in the system (there was some problem with the system where they could not find the original purchase). He then also told her she had to get another tire replaced, aside from the one that was flat, and talked her into buying it.

I really felt like Mavis did a great job with customer service. They did not charge me for things I didn't need and they were fair with their pricing. I will go back.

I went to an auto place to get a simple inspection on my 2012 CRV. Well I get a call that it will not pass inspection that I needed brake pads & rotors. Well I go to Mavis for a second opinion. I left it with them. I get a call. The manager telling me he was baffled why they had failed my inspection.

I had a scary experience when my tire exploded. As Easter was that weekend and I needed to travel a great distance, ** was able to locate the special tire I needed and made early appointment on Good Friday so that we were ready for our journey for Saturday morning. That type of service is really appreciated and needed when unexpected emergencies occur.

Went in was told it would be a little longer than I thought but ended up only being there for about a half hour. I get summer tires put on after winter and the prices and staff are unmatched.

My issue started when I left a negative review on Yelp with Mavis Discount Tire. My review read, “Is there an option for negative stars? I checked all of the prices/competitors last May, and I thought I was getting a great deal! I paid a little over $400 for all "brand new tires." I have barely put 10,000 miles on the tires and my car started acting up. With around 8,000 miles on the tires, the front tires were completely bald. I brought it to a tire company when I moved to MA who informed me that Mavis put THREE DIFFERENT SIZE TIRES ON MY CAR CAUSING IT TO BE UNBALANCED. I looked up Mavis because I did business with them before I bought a new truck on 04/01/15. I went to Mavis Tire Company in Brooklyn New York on Utica avenue location. I went there to get two back tire change and have a wheel alignment. Firstly, it took over two hours to change a tire and do a wheel alignment. It was like they did not care about your time just as long as they get what they want from you. I even had to take a taxi to run errands that I had to do. Normally, a job like this takes less than a hour. When the store manager told me that my vehicle was done, I went to look at the job.

I always travel to this particular Mavis as they are the best, courteous, friendly and helpful. Manager ** only does what is necessary. I thought I needed shocks and struts but he said only shocks. My car is always left clean and neat. The work is done quickly.

Had a slow tire leak that was plugged from another shop but it continued to leak. Scheduled an appt with Mavis, brought my car in and they took me right away. Within a half an hour my tire was fixed and I was on my way. Great Service and honest prices; staff was very professional and honest.

4:30 pm on Good Friday, took us in for brake work and inspection. While parts couldn't be obtained till following morning (not garage fault), car was ready by early Saturday morning. Better service than most places I've been to. Very pleased.

First of all the manager was very helpful, telling me that my rear brakes were low, that I could wait but not too long. I told him to replace them. The man he put on the job was very efficient, getting right to work. As I watched I noticed the shop was running light a well oiled machine, no wasted time. I called on 3/2 for pricing and was told the order was "written up". I told the salesman I'd be in on 4/2. When I arrived this morning, the only thing that was in the computer was my name. They had no tires to fit my car at all! That's bad business.

** and the team at the Arsenal Mavis/Cole Muffler have been servicing several of my vehicles for about 3 years. I trust them implicitly with all repairs both minor and major. I recommend them at every opportunity to friends and subordinates, which I do not take very lightly. They are even often cheaper with their parts prices, compared to what I can get with my military discount locally, rather than bring the part in to have installed. If I can't do it myself, or simply choose not to, I know who to call.

Had been a customer of Mavis Tires of Wantagh and have brought my 2 cars and my mother in law's car for everything from brakes, struts, oil changes and repairs. While doing an oil change to my Mazda 3 they didn't fasten the underbody well and I dragged it and ruined it. This happened 2 more times over a 2 year period. I really don't understand how this could happen.

Unfortunately I suspected the left front caliper was sticking. I went to the Shirley Mavis to confirm and they confirmed it was. We discussed the work in detail as to my options. I like how ** broke down the costs line by line, no hidden costs, no surprises, no misunderstanding. ** and their mechanics are a great team that work very well together.
