I purchased 2 tires in October 2017. I was going back at least once a week to get one of the tires aired up. This is now December and they finally said there was a leak in the valve stem and replaced it. One week later I am back because it is losing air. I am waiting another hour and 1/2 of my time. This is not acceptable.

I felt mislead by salesperson about waiting time. Plus the rebate turned into a time consuming hassle because salesperson used an old telephone number from one of my prior purchases in place of the number he placed on the receipt. Finally I called the customer support and they were able to qualify me for the rebate. Although I have yet to receive an email confirmation only the word of the person on the phone from customer support I have high hopes about receiving this $100 rebate because I am out of patience at this point.

I took my truck in to check an air leak so I dropped it off and headed to run some errands. When I came back to pick up my truck the rep tells me to follow him to the back. He wanted to show me the tire, it turned out the wheel was cracked and broken. That was the whole cause of the leak, the crack and broken piece on the 20” wheel looked really fresh. I asked him how could that happen to the wheel if I had run over nothing or hit solid on the roadway. He continued his BS and mambo jumbo about the break. I was in too much of a hurry to listen to his ** about it so I had to purchase one wheel and it cost me $254.00 but I’m taking this to corporate because they have to have cameras in the shop and I want to see the dismount of my wheel. I regret buying my tires at Discount Tires WESLACO,TEXAS.

I have drove over 40,000 miles in 7 months so tires are very important to me. I went to Discount Tire because an elderly gentleman who has been driving buses for years and use to have his own fleet recommended them to me. He stated that they are all over the country. When I went to Discount Tire and told them my situation they hooked me up with Continental 90,000 mile tires (4 Continental All Season Radials) that I am extremely pleased with. The assistant manager told me that him and a few other workers have them on their cars. I noticed an immediate difference in handling. The first thing I noticed is that my brakes have a lot less stress on them. They also hold the road very well.

In zero F weather refused to fix my slow leak, in Spokane (town of scammers) refused to fix my slow leak due to tire "too old", did not look at tire, tried to make me believe it was the law that they couldn't work on tires over 10 yrs old. I had to keep refilling in freezing cold, turned out I have Raynaud's syndrome and severely damaged 2 fingers of my right hand that winter. Another place fixed the leak for free, and I am still using those snow tires. Some tire stores will at least look at tire to determine condition, stay away from those trying to tell you it is "law", it is just the greedy store policy. Plus they overcharge for the mounting and warranty.

On Sept. 26, I went into the Discount Tire in Yuma, AZ, to find out why I was having a problem with low tire pressure. I was told that I had a damaged wheel rim and was shown the wheel. While doing the paperwork, the mechanic came in to say that I had a 2nd dented wheel rim. Next thing I know the salesperson is ringing up 3 rims! Just so happened that they were having a special of buy 3 and get the 4th free. Lucky me.
We have gone to Discount for many years and trusted them, but when I asked to take a picture of the damaged wheel, I was shown only one. When I called back to ask if they would send me pics of the 3, I was promised they would, but none were sent. My husband called the Discount Tire store in El Centro, CA where we have gotten good service and inquired if it was possible to have 3 damaged rims at the same time because his Internet search said not likely. The El Centro manager hedged his response. We think there was only one damaged rim, and I got gypped. Also, why is the Discount/America's Tire website inaccessible and their phone disconnected?

Each time I go in to swap them out for the season, my tire pressure sensor on my dash goes off a few miles later, and it's a huge pain in the neck to have to return to have it fixed. Not buying tires from them ever again. I never had this problem with other places. I just went there for convenience.

Today was our first time going to Discount Tire, we have always used a local tire place and have continually been disappointed with the customer service. Discount Tire was recommended by a co-worker and we were NOT disappointed! They have excellent customer service! We got both all new wheels and tires and we were in and out in just over an hour. They have an excellent warranty on both the wheels and the tires along with free balancing and rotations for the life of the tires. I would highly recommend this location for the customer service alone!!

On 10/07/2017 I went to Discount Tires. I checked in at 8:27 am to get my tires rotated & rebalanced. They called my name at 9:55 am then they drove my vehicle to the back and 10 minutes later at 10:05 my vehicle was ready to go. I got in my car and checked my tire pressure gauge on the front drivers side showed 28 PSI. Just like it was before I got to discount tires. I drove 15 miles and it never changed. So I was there for 1hr and half for what a wasted morning. And then I called discount tires and told them what had happened. They told me to bring it back to them and I said I was there 1hr and half already and I said I don't think so. I have no respect for these bums they placed at this location. The people they had before was the best, very KNOWLEDGEABLE and PROFESSIONAL. They cared about their customers and they gave EXCELLENT customer service.

I have been going to Discount Tire for more than 30 years and I have more than ten sets of tires no rims, and would never buy the rims they sell. They are just junk. I usually try to buy tires on sale and buy the best mileage I can get. I always pull the vehicle into the bay myself and I stay with the vehicle until they give it back to me. I have caught employees failing to balance, rebalance or even rotating tires.
I bought a set of tires in downtown Pasadena Texas and while they were mounting and balancing the tires I had to take a phone call. When I got off the phone they told me they were through and so I left and when I got home I happened to take a second look at the tires and noticed two wheels did not have weights, and I called the store and an employee told me that they were perfect and did not need weights. I said I have balanced a few tires in my life and never seen a tire that did not need weight, and I was bringing them back to get them balanced. Sure enough they both needed 3 or more ounces of weight. I wasted 2 or 3 hours of my time plus driving about 40 miles. I did not go back to that store again.
I went to another Discount Tire on Shaver street in Pasadena Texas for a balance and rotation and after watching the guy a few minutes I noticed he was just rotating from the front to the back. I confronted him about it and he said there was no need to rebalance at each rotation. I said I paid for having my tires balanced and whenever they were to be rotated I wanted them rebalanced. I threatened him with calling the regional manager and he finally agreed to balance them and then I noticed that he was not removing the old weights and just adding weights. I jumped him about this and he got a little ugly but he finally took off the old weights and put on new weights where they were needed (if you do not remove the old weights you cannot get a true balance and can make the balance worse). I have not been back to that store either.
I point these incidents out to show everyone that Discount Tire only wants to sell tires. It is your problem to get them to do their job, they hire inexperienced and people that do want to do their job and the consumer suffers. The managers rush for volume and they encourage shortcuts. Recently October 02, 2017 I went to have the tires I purchased in 2016 at this store balanced and rotated, (10727 N Freeway Houston Texas) I spoke to ** and he did the typical tire look and said the left front was wearing bad and needed replacing. I told him I was aware of wear but I had a issue with the suspension and just wanted it balanced. I wanted the right side rotated but not the left side but I wanted all of them balanced. He never said anything about not balancing all four tires, I also told him that the right two tires were losing and needed patching. (If you do not tell them, they will not check for this. Again this your problem. They do not care.)
I drove the vehicle in when they were ready for me and when they started removing the lug nuts I saw an employee using a 16-ounce ball peen hammer to drive on the impact socket on my lug nuts and I told him those were not metric size lug nuts. They are standard (SAE) and he kept slugging away with the hammer (He was not tapping. He was hitting really hitting hard). And then he would use the impact and remove the lug nut and then he would have to use a punch to remove the lug nut from the socket and he did on two wheels (10 lug nuts) and I got my lug wrench out of my truck and showed him that a 3/4 inch lug wrench or socket would fit not a metric 19 mm socket and the way you are doing is messing up my chrome covered sockets. Then he tried to tell that my lugs were no good. They had burrs on them and I said there's nothing wrong the lugs.
When you put an impact socket on them halfway on (you should push the socket all the way on) you cause those so-called burrs, I asked if he had any other sockets and he said this was all they had. (I have had this truck in 4 or 5 times at this store and never had this issue before.) I told the employee to use my lug wrench and went to complain to ** and he also said this was all they had. And I said, "I guess if they gave you a stick and a rock to remove the wheels that would be what you used". Then he said, "That was right. If that was what they gave us that would be what we would use".
I then found that the left front tire would not be rebalanced and that he thought it was too far worn and wanted me to buy another tire. I then told him that I only use Discount Tire because of the warranty not the service and if your warranty is worthless and the service bad why go to Discount Tire. Also they donot check your air pressure unless you buttonhole. When I got home the two tires that were repaired had 35 pounds and the other 2 had 40 pounds. Again this is your problem. They do not care. They just sell tires not Service. If you bring your vehicle in you really need to stay and watch what they do and do not let them lie to you or intimidate. You have a right. Question what they do. It is your money, your car for slow leaks or punctures.

My time and energy spent and I am still waiting for the correct rims to arrive at their store and first told me a wrong total of course more they asked me to come in with car which is unsafe to drive. When I arrived they quoted they should have called me and to let me know parts were not there and I waited 1 and 1/2 hours again. Left one week later parts are in bill paid and of course the wrong product was delivered so another week goes by and still no rim again. Paid in full and the right passenger wheel is rubbing so bad I don't know what else to do. As I wait and do not feel safe in my car. Hopefully there is something you could do. This have put my life on hold and I am currently catching and paying someone to and from work.

Bought several sets of tires from Discount Tire, tried to get a balance and rotation, said the fronts were cupping, rears not bad, They did not want to rotate. Of course I didnt want to buy right then, hence the recommendation of no rotation. After finally convincing them to proceed with promised service, I'm convinced I was put on a back burner of all back burners, to get my tires rotated. How long you wait is directly proportional to how bad THEY, say you need tires, and you saying you'll wait.
I will avoid them in the future, wait time is punitive in nature as your tread life wears, They acknowledged the fronts were cupping, and the rears were better, So get the fronts on the rear right? No, the recommendation was to leave them in place till what? BLOWOUT? I was entitled to a balance and rotation every 10k miles, got hassled to refusal on my service request, Then my keys got put in the "problem" slot, cant prove it but know it happened. Hey, new jingle for Discount Tire, "whatever we're selling, you better be buying".

The service was great, however NOT RECOMMENDED TO A FRIEND UNLESS WARNED: To get that highly sought after service there are two barriers to overcome that I would warn people about before they arrive. This DISCOUNT TIRE Pueblo, Colorado location has no clear way to arrive to the point of service. It is uncertain if a customer parks the car in any one location. Second, when a customer walks into the lobby the customer must jockey for position to get the attention of a representative. Although we received rapid and thorough service there is no way to recognize the order in which people will be served. The staff did a fantastic job in recognizing who needed help and got them engaged fairly well, but I can see potential problems here and is the only reason I would not recommend Discount Tire to a friend or family member without warning them first.

The only not reasonable part of the visit was afterwards when I went to work and about two hours later I come to my car to see that the tire in the back right was completely flat. I checked for punctures and I could not see any; the distance I drove was 15 miles on the interstate and I have done this plenty of times before with old tires and I have not had a problem. Unfortunately for me 7pm is after hours and so I cannot have it looked at till tomorrow. I hope something is done about this because if I had driven a longer distance the tire could have resulted in an accident.

On July 2016 I Purchased 4 new tires (70,000 mile). In November I took it in to get tire rotation and wheel alignment at that time which they mentioned that the alignment was bad. Came January I took it in because I would notice the alignment to be off, so I took it to Discount Tire to get it checked out. At that time they mentioned the alignment to be off again so he asked me if I had bumped the curve or hit a pot hole so I told him no, so they did the alignment again and I left. So just as I was getting home I started to notice the alignment issue came back again. It's like they left a screw loose that the alignment is fine at that time but once I drove it around the alignment moved again.
So here I go again to the Discount Tire the next day and asked for the alignment again. They was surprised as so was I. But something has to be wrong. Now after this visit alignment seemed fine again. Now on February 24 I took it to the dealer for oil change which at the time they measured the tread and it says that the front tire tread is 5/32nds and the rear tire tread is 9/32nds... That almost half more of the tire worn out.
So in April I noticed a squeak noise coming from the front of my pick up so I thought it was something wrong with the suspension. So I took it in to the mechanics shop and they found a loose screw and they showed me. So I took pictures to show Discount Tire because this screw is used to align the front tires. So the guy at the shop tightened the screw and the squeak noise was gone. So I took my truck to Discount Tire again due to bad alignment again and told them about the front 2 tires being all worn down. Only the outside half of the tire because the inside half of the tires was still good.
I requested to get a replacement for the 2 tires that was all worn down due to bad workmanship and bad alignment and they said NO that is not possible and that I would have to wait till the tires was all worn down til it's 2/32nds and at that time I could take it in and have to still pay pro-rate for the miles used... Now.. why do I have to pay if its Discount Tire fault that they could not do the alignment correctly and left screw loose.
I spoke to headquarters District manager and he gave me the same story and said that the tires did not get worn out because due to bad alignment. He was trying to tell me that it was normal wear. WHAT! That was my reaction when he said that comment. Now I am car savvy person and I know for a fact that what he was telling me was all lies so they wouldn't exchange me the 2 worn out tires.
I am very dissatisfied and feel ripped off, I mean these tires are not even a year old and only 17,000 miles on them. Why would I have to pay for this if it's the fault of Discount Tire. It's not even the tire manufacturer fault and all they kept telling me was about the tire manufacturer warranty... But again it's not the tires. It's the Discount Tire that didn't perform their job right. Need to get legal help now because this is not right.

Discount Tire had young individuals working on tire rotations and I think they have to hurry instead of focusing on quality of work they need to complete. Need to be more attentive to how things need to be done because they cross threaded the lug nut on the stud and I could not loosen or tighten the lug nut and they sent me Meineke Auto to have the stud and lug nut replaced and all because of a simple tire rotation and best part is Meineke tech said this happens OFTEN because Discount Tire had a form called "Broken Stud Repair Referral Form" that just had to be filled out and take to Meineke Auto to have problem corrected.
This was on my daughter's car because she did not have time to have her tires on her car taken care of. I could not recommend Discount Tire of Columbia Heights Minnesota to anyone because of the young and inexperienced tire techs. One needs to start the lug nuts manually to make sure they will go on as designed before they USE their air wrench to tighten the lug nuts. Reading other reviews about Discount Tire are not real great either. Not sure how many "minutes " of training they receive but I know it is not enough to be quality minded. Store # MNM11.

My real name is Darren **. I'm writing this review to tell the public that the only way to get Discount Tire to honor a claim is to put them on blast everywhere, which I intend on doing. But I actually like the guys at this place. They get 5 stars for customer service. Joel is a great manager, but he can only do what he is allowed to do when it comes to claims. Just like a woman by the name of Sapphire in the Discount corporate claims department. Now, she has a job to investigate, just like Joel. But she seemed more like a bodyguard for Discount Tire. she admitted to no wrongdoing by Discount Tire.
So, here's my true complaint. I first bought tires and rims from Discount Tire for my 2014 Silverado, the rims were scratched, and I got a really good deal on them. But, about a month later, I'm going down the road, and my driver back tire is wobbling and ready to come off. I just happen to be close the Discount Tire place, so I tried to get there, but the wheel was getting worse by the second. I just happen to come up on Tire Discounters, their competitor literally right down the street. I ask them if they would help me. They put my truck up on a jack and tightened the lugs back down. Not only did they do that, they checked all my lugs. So, this is the first problem I had with Discount tire. I actually let it go.
Then literally 3 days later, the new rims and tires I bought from them for my 2002 Honda Odyssey, the rear driver side tire lost its bead and blew off the rim causing me to lose control in a split second and hit a telephone pole. Literally, BOOM, then POLE!!! That fast. This could have killed me, my wife and child if we was going any faster. Thank the Lord that everyone was buckle up, and we was going around 15 mph.
Reason I was going slow, I was getting ready to turn. I get out of my vehicle, because I thought for sure I hit something in the road. But there was nothing. I look at my back tire, and its complete off the rim. I checked my wife and kid for injuries, and my wife has a messed up shoulder, and I had bang up ribs. My daughter was fine, thank the lord. I call 911, police and ambulance get there fast. the police check everyone, then ask for my Id and Insurance of course. Then they do a complete investigation, and found that the tire did come off. They didn't cite me with any tickets or give me a sobriety test, because was flat out obvious the tire came off the rim. So my van got towed, we got a ride home.
The next day I called Joel at DT, and he said he would put in a claim. I told him, "I don't want to lawyer up, I just want Discount Tire to pay for the van which was only worth 3k, and the tow, and possible med bills, because me and my wife was hurting bad the next day." I was basically giving this greedy company a way out and they simple won't take responsibility. They are currently blaming it on Cooper Tire. Which if Cooper comes back and says "Yeah!!! It's a bad tire, then discount is off the hook."
But we all know, these companies are going to point fingers and nobody will take the blame. Just like Sapphire told me today 3/30/2017 at 5.01pm. She stated that Discount tire is in no way responsible, She stating this even before the results are coming back from Cooper Tire. Is she a mechanic? NO!!! did she physically inspect the tire herself? Hell no!!!
At this point, I decided to just sue Discount tire because I have two different incidents on record from this location. Someone screwed up, I truly believe it was a faulty tire, it was a mechanic error both times. So what could have been a super cheap way out for this company and nothing in the public eye to tarnish the reputation, is now going to be a full out lawsuit. Hey Discount Tire, when you send dumb-dumbs to try and scapegoat other companies for your mistakes, this is what will happen. Someone is going to pay dearly now because of SAPPHIRE!!! I truly believe it's DISCOUNT TIRE'S FAULT!!! I will be calling Cooper Tire and letting them know you're blaming them. Next is the Attorney General and the BBB. Then a YouTube video for everyone to see!!! FB, Twitter, etc.

First they falsely claimed tires were past warranty mileage and then when that was clearly false, they then said warranties were voided because she had not brought car into store for rotation after buying tires but that too was false since when she got the last tire 10,000 miles later they rotated the tires. They said the flat tire she went in for had a bubble in the sidewall which they said was an impact break that could have been caused by a normal road hazard and was not covered by the warranty. Your warranty clearly says otherwise. I am an attorney with 50 years experience and can read a warranty and I have been buying all my tires from your company for 35 years but never treated like this.

I've been a loyal customer with Discount Tires for years. I have an office right across the street from the Friendswood location. I couldn't get waited on so I went back across the street from my office and made a deal for tires on the phone. I can barely walk because I need both knees replaced and they have taken me across the street on numerous occasions.
When I told them that I would be over there in just a second to drop my vehicle off but that I would need someone to drive me across the street, the young man told me that they didn't have the manpower. It would have taken them all of 30 seconds to drive across the four lanes drop me off and take my car back across the street. I will NEVER purchase another tire there. Guess they are so busy that they don't need my business. I called back to ask them to have the store manager call me, and the young man said "Hold on I'll let you talk to him now." I was put on eternal hold and finally had to hang up because a client arrived at my office.

First off, let me tell you that I have been a satisfied customer of Discount Tire for over 30 years. But today takes the cake!!! And not n a good way!! After the purchase of 4 new tires for my Enclave, to the tune of $650.00. After 4000 miles the outside edges of the 2 rear tires at tread bare. I went to local mechanic shop, who I have used for years and who aligned my tires 2 weeks prior to the purchase. He told me after checking alignment again, that wheels were within computer specs., and it was a tire problem. So I took the car to said Discount store. They would not stand behind their tires but would give a small discount on two new ones. BS!!! Today I dealt with an Ethernet Ass't Manager. My mechanic told me that that store has gone downhill in a hurry since new management. So I went to a different Discount Tire where I got a full replacement.

I arrived at the Discount Tire located in Carmel, Indiana about 20 minutes before they opened. It was raining and I was prepared to wait. I did notice within a few minutes of my pulling into the parking lot one of the 7 to 8 employees inside the store walked over to lock the entrance door, I guess he was assuming I might try to come in early.
I proceeded to wait until a few minutes before the advertised opening time, while watching all of the employees for the last 15 minutes sitting around drinking their morning coffee lounging in the chairs designated for the customers. I decided to get out into the rain, pull my flat tire out of the trunk and roll it over to the entrance door. I arrived at the door around 4 to 5 minutes before the opening time. I remind you, all the employees were sitting around doing nothing while I'm rolling my tire to the front door in the rain.
I grabbed the entrance door handle and pulled on it... it was still locked from being locked 20 min. earlier. I pulled on it again more aggressively thinking someone would get up and unlock it for me so I could at least come in out of the rain. I stood there for a few seconds in awe, as not one of the employees, including the store manager would even look my way or even acknowledge me standing there. I was being completely ignored by their entire staff, while they did nothing. If you've never been to a Discount Tire franchise, the exterior of the building where the customers enter is surrounded with glass. There is no way I wasn't seen or heard trying to enter the store.
I proceeded to walk 50 yards back to my car and waited the 3 minutes before they opened. Within a minute or 2 after they unlocked the door, an employees came out and started looking at my tire, proving they knew I was there when I was standing at the entrance in the rain, but did nothing to even acknowledge me. Once I considered how disrespectful they were to me, I drove over right in front of the entrance and told the employee, he wasnt getting my business, and to take his hands off my tire. I put my tire back into my trunk.
I then called Ron ** the Regional Operations Vice President for Discount Tire located in Westfield, IN at (317) 867-0125. To discuss how poorly I was treated at his Carmel store. Surprisingly his response to me after asking me a few questions proves how little Discount Tire values their customers. He's stating to me that my being there too early explains why he assumed they didn't open the door. He said they always have a store meeting before they open (which I six witnessed from the parking lot while I was waiting) and had finished well before I tried to enter. He also seemed more concerned about what I may write in a consumer review, than how he should handle something like this with his employees if it were to happen again.
I suggested he at least tell his staff to treat the customer with enough dignity to go over to the door and say something or let them in out of the rain. I've never left a place of business feeling so disrespected and disappointed by how I was treated. Plus I was even more disappointed after speaking with an upper level management employee. Instead of hearing a heart-felt apology for how I was handled, I was made to feel like it was my fault for even considering being able to enter their establishment before the advertised time.
True customer service is something that is taught and driven home within an organization, Ron ** is obviously not a leader in this most vital aspect of his business. The Carmel store's total disregard for me as a valued customer proves this fact. My reason for this review is to let the consumer public know what to expect before they step foot into the Discount Tire Store. Me... Never Again!

I bought four new Arizonan silver edition tires from Discount Tires in Bellmead, Texas on Aug. 31, 2015, for my 2012 Hyundai Elantra at 33,044 miles. (Cost $574.16.) They have a warranty for 50,000 miles expiring three years from purchase date. My car inspection Jan. 31, 2017, did not pass the tires because they were too worn at 50,277 miles. That is a sharp contrast from the 50,000-mile warranty: a mere 17,233. Furthermore, they only lasted 17 months. I went for replacement and got the song and dance about how they could sell me a better tire (the kind the employee assured me was on his mom's car).
They said this isn't the worst they have seen this Arizonian tire wear. (So why does Discount sell it if it is of such inferior quality? Or why have a 50,000-mile warranty for something that cannot pass inspection after only 17,000 miles?) Then I got the explanation about how people drive differently, roads are different, and so forth. I concede that is true. However, at age 61 going on 62, I do not peel out, do wheelies or attempt off-road racing.
Discount Tires applied some credit/adjustment from the lower quality tires to the "Mom's brand," so I wound up paying $414. The employee was polite, but this really does make me feel better overall about Discount Tires. I have bought my tires from the company for many year because of the free rotations. I do hope the employee likes his mom.

I went to the Discount Tire location to get 4 tires I bought from them online, balanced and mounted on October 18, 2016. Approximately 2 weeks after having that done while driving my car I felt it wobbling a bit. I was curious because I never felt that before so I did some research online trying to figure out what could be the cause of that and from what I gathered I was under the assumption maybe it is my wheel bearing. About 4 days later after I felt the wobbling another motorist driving behind me inform me that my rear wheel was wobbling. I responded by telling them I am aware and it may be my bearing. It never dawned on me to check my lugs.
Fast forward to January 2, 2017. I was leaving the store and the wobbling got worst. Also I heard a noise that appears to be a flat tire. I pulled over on the side of the road. This was about 20:00 hrs in the night and walked around the vehicle. I kicked the tires. They were all inflated. No signs of a flat. So I went back in and started driving. The car started shaking more and the noise got louder. I was almost home so I drove slowly. The following morning I came out to do an inspection on the car and notice every single lug on all tires were lose and on the driver side two lugs were missing and the tire was leaning out almost about to fall off after jacking it up.
I contact DISCOUNT TIRE and informed them and they sent an agent several days later to do an investigation and now they claim based on their findings that I have driving the car over 5,000 miles they will not fix the damages done to my vehicle. I explained to them this started 2 weeks after I left the location. My ignorance in the mechanic filed and confidence in them that I paid for a service and it was done right was what kept me from assuming they did not properly installed my tires, why I did not return to the location and have them check my wheel. Basically I am left with a damaged vehicle which is my only means of transportation to work. I believe they are responsible and should take responsibility for their actions or lack of and fix my vehicle.

10/23/2016 - I purchased a used 2014 Hyundai Elantra Sedan in March 2016. Before leaving the lot I went over any body and interior imperfections with the dealership. I pride myself on the fact that I take very good care of my vehicle mechanically and cosmetically. I had my car detailed the day before I went to Tires plus which was in the middle of August of 2016. At the time of the detail I arrived early to talk to the detail employee and make sure there were no scratches or nicks from the buffer. The car was fine except for items I knew of when I purchased the car.
On that following day I left my house and as I was driving down Mccarren Blvd my sensor inflation light came on. Tires Plus was just up the road on the right so I pulled into their shop. I've used Tires plus before to buy tires for my mustang in the past. The manager Dave helped me and went out and checked each tire and noticed a small nail in one of the tires. He was extremely polite and offered to fix it at no charge.
I had a seat in the waiting room and noticed maybe ten minutes later my car quickly passing by and speeding into the work bay. I then saw the gentleman driving my car back up quickly and pull in again very quickly. At that time there was a car parked at the work bay to the right of mine so I could only see the top of my car. About 25 minutes later the manager Dave came to let me know it would be a few more minutes and I asked if we could look at some custom rims and tires and he graciously help me and gave me the quotes. Soon after my car pulled up to the pickup door and the gentleman held the door for me and told me the light should turn off after I've driven a few minutes which it did. At that time again I did not see the passenger side of the car as he pulled up with the driver's side facing me.
I drove directly home and pulled into my private driveway. As I was exiting the car I noticed that the left seat panel was filthy smeared with a dirty greasy substance. I went into the garage to get my shampoo upholstery machine and as I walked out I noticed the front passenger rim looked like it had struck a curb of a cement parking block sideways. It was completely chewed up. These were brand new rims that were put on the car before it took it home from the dealer. I immediately called Tires Plus and a gentleman answered and I then asked for Dave. He told me Dave was busy and asked if he could help. I began to tell him the problem and while I was in mid sentence he said "Are you calling about your from passenger rim? I saw that." I told him I would call Dave back. After I had the mobile detail guy come over and charged me $50.00 to clean my seat.
I again called Tires Plus and Dave answered. I again explained the problem and Dave said "We don't have curbs in our work bays and I'll check all the workers' butts to see if they are dirty." I was upset because I knew I hadn't hit a curb and asked Dave if he remembered seeing it when he check each tire? His response was "I don't know. We don't check those things." I'm the only one who has driven the car since the purchase. The car remained in my private driveway until the next morning. The next morning I walked outside for my doctor's appointment and then noticed as the sun was hitting directly on the passenger door that the entire rock guard at the bottom looked as if had been struck by something that the car dragged across then as if it stopped and hit again taking the paint off. The vehicle remained in our private driveway and my mother's car was in the garage. We had no visitors.
At that point I called Tire Plus Headquarters for the Nevada region. I did receive a call back quickly and this was two days before I was going into the hospital for a major surgery which I would be hospitalized for six weeks. I do apologize that I do not have the name of gentleman who holds the title I believe of territory manager for that region but I can get it and add it to this post if this format allows me to? I spoke to him to let him know my concerns. I let him know that I was aware that they didn't have curbs and that still my rim and car rock panel were damaged. He truly proceeded to treat me as if I was just a crocked customer trying to scam them He asked me persistently what I wanted from them and tried twisting my words as to what I was complaining about. He said the following:
"What you're upset about is nobody listens to you correct? What you're saying is you don't think we did it? You want your car fixed?" And as I perceived what was a threatening manner "I'll have to get our insurance involved." At that point I just told him I want nothing except to let you know my car was most definitely damaged at your place of business. He then told me that when we hung up Dave would call me definitely today sometime and he would like to give you a discount on your custom rims and tires you want to order. I never heard from Dave which was fine because at that point I had no intention of doing business with them again.

I originally bought a set of 5 BF Goodrich 31x10.5x15 KO tires. I was getting really good mileage on them when one day away from home on a trip there was debris in the road that I couldn't avoid without going into oncoming traffic. I got one tire repaired by them putting 5 plugs and one hot patch on the inside the tire. Then there was a tire with a slice in the sidewall of the tire leaving it with a flap of rubber. The third tire had a piece of wood the size of my thumb that went through the sidewall of the tire and couldn't be repaired. They had to use my new spare for the sidewall damaged tire and I called Discount Tire and told them I was coming in. That was about November 15th, 2015.
They said they didn't have any in their warehouse and called around. They couldn't find any anywhere. I paid for the whole package including Road Hazard Certificates on my Social Security Disability and now I'm being told they stopped making them so I'm just out of luck. So the Service Writer at that time at the Surprise Discount Tire talks to the Mgr who says they can put my name on a waiting list and when they become available they will call me.
Well in the meantime they can let me try other tires till then. They gave me 4-5 different sets of tires to try. Each set had one nice feature but not the outer. One got great gas mileage on the highway but got stuck in dirt, another was great in dirt but on the highway they sang so loud you had to turn up the radio, another set was a BF Goodrich Tire but when I came to get the truck they had Cut the Air Dam to get the tires into the fender well and the tires couldn't turn, so they damaged my truck doing so. All this was stretched out over about 3 months.
Then I went on their Facebook page to complain and that got someone's attention because I got a call from the Vice President of Discount Tire in Scottsdale asking if I could be at the Surprise Arizona store on February 14th. They would have my tires and "we're sorry for the inconvenience." So I show up there at 8:30 am and they did have 5 tires. I left my truck and came back a few hours later to see my truck sitting in the parking lot with 5 tires on it including the spare.
They then have me come inside where they gave me $542 back because I'm assuming it's for all 5-6 trips there, one way from Wickenburg was 42 miles plus the damage to me Air Dam, plus the money I had to pay for the other tires that didn't work out. I get in my truck and drive away. I don't drive the truck much and it sits in the shade. I'd go have the tires rotated and Rebalanced. Then around the beginning of September 2016 I noticed the tires have flaps of rubber coming off and the tread is really low. I look at when I got the tires and the mileage I have on them now is about 20,000 miles. The ABS light started coming on and off and now it's totally on.
I call Surprise Discount Tire and talk to Eric the Assistant Mgr who says "bring it in and we'll see what we can do." Eric comes outside and looks at the tires and says they're shot and nothing they can do. I said "you're kidding" and point out a brand new spare tire on the back and said "what about this tire." Eric says he'd give me $20 for it but it'll just sit on the tire rack because no one will want it. Eric informs me that there is no warranty on my tires. That's funny because when I bought them they had a 50,000 mile warranty. I check into my paperwork that they send in a PDF file and see about the warranty and when they got these tires in they replaced them with 32x11.5x15 that have no mileage warranty but does have a 6 year defective material warranty.
I complained and was told they would take a $100 off the price of a new set of tires. That's crap. So much for that Road Hazard Warranty you pay an extra $100 for. So I started checking online for BF Goodrich to call them and find over 150 people who all have the same problem with their tires and I call them and record the conversation. First they said they needed a current inspection and have me go to the local Big O Tires to get it done. The Mgr says "it's bad rubber because the center of the tire has flaps of rubber coming off." I ask him "how many miles are left on the tires" and he says "maybe 5000". He wrote down that the tires were inflated properly and wearing evenly and has 5 to 6/3 2nd of an inch left. I show him my Discount Tire paperwork from August 2015 that shows to date I've only driven it about 3000 miles.
I contacted BF GOODRICH today that said the surprise store Mgr Ben ** was to of called me with an offer. So she says they will give me 23% credit on a new set of tires. I said "you got to be kidding. You gave out faulty tires and knew about it and I have to pay for your mistakes." I said "I want an address where to send the Small Claims paperwork because you can't be represented by an Attorney." She says "let me put you on hold a moment" and comes back and says they are willing to give me a 52% discount. I said "make it a 25% discount and I'll buy another set". She said no and gave me the name and address where to send that paperwork. I would of compromised at 40% if I could get any other tire but there's because I can't trust my family's lives and mine to them anymore.

I had a flat last week while at the bank and called my insurance company's roadside assistance. When the guy took the tire off my vehicle and replaced it with the spare, he showed me my tire. It had gone flat because there was a nail or screw in the center of the tire between the thread. The next day I took the tire to Discount Tire at 7325 FM 1960 in Houston, TX. The service man first told me that the tire needed to be replaced because it had a "heat ring" on it. When I asked what that is, he explained that a heat ring happens when a tire is driven too long while flat. I was suspicious because I had driven it only from my home to the bank (less than 2 blocks) when it went flat. I told him "I couldn't afford a new tire and please just repair the tire."
Later, he came back and said there were actually two nails in the tire and because of the location of the nails, the tire could not be repaired. He showed me the tire and I knew immediately that the tire he was showing me was not the same tire I brought in. The location of both nails were on the side of the tire, not in the center. I told him that was not my tire and he swore it was and told me that they don't even sell that brand of tire. I knew this was untrue because I had purchased the tire along with another just 13 earlier at Discount Tire. I asked to speak to a manager and waited over 30 minutes before the manager was called. The manager told me his staff would not switch tires and then offered to put a used tire on my vehicle since I had said I couldn't afford a new tire. I told him "No thanks. I'd go elsewhere for a tire". He then said, "Well that's a shame because we have the best prices and you already have Discount Tires on your vehicle."
This was a complete contradiction of what I'd just been told about DT not selling the brand of tires I had. Today while looking at the ConsumerAffairs website at complaints against DT, I saw a photo posted by another customer. The large nail and position of the nail in the photo is exactly like the one I was shown that DT claimed was my tire. The customer who posted the complaint felt that DT had planted the large nail in his tire just to force him to buy new tires. Coincidence? I think not.

I'm not one to give reviews but I want to do this right now. I'm a customer of discount tire for 25 years, most of the time it's been a good experience until a couple of instances lately here with the store in Gilbert AZ, Warner and Cooper roads. I recently bought a set of 4 FALKEN/ziex05 tires from this store, drove for approx. 200 miles on them, noticed back rear passenger side tire leaking air. Took the truck in, they replaced the valve stem... no charge (THIS is the service I expected, except the 1/2 hour promised took 2.5 hours), at least it got fixed. 200 more miles, another valve stem problem, take it in again, another 1/2 hour promised. 2.5 hours later, I return to see my truck up on the stand still, they tell me I need new tire sensor for tire pressure warning indicator (I've never had to have these before? I've had the same wheels with countless sets of tires mounted by Discount before. No mention ever of new sensors).
I tell them "as long as it doesn't leak anymore, I don't care." (by this time I just wanted to get my truck and leave) But the service rep behind the counter says they "recommend" having all 4 wheel sensors swapped out. "It's a safety issue" now. I say "OK swap em out then." I go to grab my truck and they present me with a $240 bill for this. Discount tire handled all the previous tire swaps before and it's never been an issue. Why now? Why did they replace the earlier valve stem and make no mention of new sensors? Why didn't they say that previous to the work being done they were going to charge me $60 per wheel and tell me that I was going to have to pay $240. They installed all the previous valve stems in my truck since 2005 and zero issues, now all of a sudden I have to pay $240 just so I can get brand new tires that I bought from them that don't leak?
I USED to be a discount tire fan. NO MORE. I'm so pissed that this shop tried to take me for a fool and gouge me for no reason. Most discount tire shops are straight up, the store at WARNER Rd and COOPER Rd in Gilbert AZ is not. These people should have been apologizing to ME for have to continually go back to have issues fixed and fixed again (new tires going flat) on a set of new tires not Gouging me $240. TERRIBLE way to do business, I would never go back to this shop.

I made an appointment at the Discount Tire on Thunderbird Road in Peoria, AZ almost one week in advance. I showed up about 5 minutes early and got signed in right about exactly when my appointment was as they were helping another customer in front of me. As I'm waiting patiently for my vehicle to get inside the shop, I am continually hearing the employees telling people who showed up without an appointment that it would be about an hour.
30 minutes later, after my car STILL had not been taken into the shop, I asked what the point behind having an appointment was if you weren't able to get your vehicle at about that exact time. I was told that the appointment system was meant to guarantee that you would get your car in within FORTY-FIVE MINUTES of the appointment time. About 15 minutes later, my card was taken in and the new tires were put on. I left about FIFTY-FIVE minutes after my appointment time which means I save about FIVE minutes over the people who just stopped in without an appointment and were told it would be an hour. At least at that location, it seems like there's no point in worrying if you don't have an appointment and not really a point in making one either.

Paid $732 for 4 tires. The balance was not done right and my car was almost uncontrollable. Took it immediately for a front end alignment. The man at the alignment place told me it was not balance right and they had not put back a washer on the rear tires that should be there. He even showed me and he called Discount tires for me and explained to Chris, the manager. When I took the car back, Chris, the so called manager was rude, and crude and made me wait over an hour. When I complained he told me to shut up or I will make you leave the store. Bad customer service. Bad management, unsafe work. I called the Corporate office in AZ. Good service needs public acknowledgment and my wife and I were extremely happy with the service we got at Discount Tire in Amarillo, Texas! My wife and I were headed home to Indiana from California and were driving after dark in a driving rain. Immediately off the exit we spotted our motel and were anxious to get some rest. I went through a deep puddle around a storm drain, scraped the broken curb and slashed the sidewall on my right front passenger tire. Stuck in the front entrance of our motel, we patiently waited for the service man from AAA to put on our spare, we noticed a Discount Tire store right across the street.
Long story short, we had to have four tires because we have a Subaru and the manufacturer recommends buying four at a time to keep the computer happy I guess. Stephen, talked gently to us, did NOT try to upsell us from our decision, gave us a few tips, and got us on our way in about half an hour (we were second in line when the store opened. We felt as though we had lost very little time, and the cost was less than we expected! Thank you Discount Tire of Amarillo, Texas! It was a bonus that there is a Discount Tire in the town where we live!!!

Discount tire in Lubbock, TX put new tires and wheels on my car. While driving 65 mph to Houston, TX the tire and wheel fell off. My friend and I were in the car, we pulled to the side of the highway. I was one mile from Discount Tire in Conroe, TX. I had at my expense the car towed. After all DT areas coordinated the fiasco, the issue ended up at Corporate. They are antagonistic and careless. We are 39 days into this. I have proved their fault. My daughter lost her job in Lubbock as she couldn't get back, they took so long.
I have had to pay for rental cars. The car still needs body work and paint. The struts broke as a result of the pressure from the tire falling off at a high rate of speed. Yet, corporate will pay for the broken one and not the bent. Think of it this way, you break your left leg your right leg now has to carry extra weight. That is a concept they can't get.
The business fixing it stated there is no other way that this could have happened. I would think a business would be really happy no one died and fix the vehicle. Five vehicles all locations over 10 years, a loyal customer and this is the treatment we get. I even let go of the fact they put the wrong tires on the wrong side of my Cadillac CTS in Heights, Houston. You could visibly see the car off balance. That store manager apologized and fixed it. This is inexcusable. All I ever wanted was a timely repair without being insulted and antagonized. Trying to go above the smart ass employee got nowhere. I have now hired an attorney who amicably tried to make us whole and get us back on the road and they are dragging their feet with him. DO THE RIGHT THING! I hope this never happens to their daughter as perhaps they will see the error of their ways. Handling this should not be a full-time job or cost me $. I didn't put the wheels and tires on.

Other than the wait times for rotations and balance I have had good experience with this location. I have purchased a set of tires and set of trailer tires from them prior and needed another set of tires so I went there. They were kind of slow as usual but no big deal. They get my new tires on and drive my truck around to the door. The tech hops out and says "Is this your truck?" I said yes and thank you as he hands me the receipt. He tells me about some grease on the inside of a couple of my rims which I tell him I am aware of. So I go to jump in the truck and before I even open the door I see the molding that runs the length of my rocker panels is hanging there and it was not when I got there. So I get the manager and he comes to look but can't bend over because of his bad knee he said so. He gets another guy to come and look. The other says "Dang it. Those guys know not to do this" and that the rocker had folded breaking the moulding clips.
I say I want it fixed so he says he will go talk with the manager with the bad knee. That guy says offer me a 100$. I say "No I want it fixed." So they tell me to come back on Monday. In the meantime I notice the clips holding the moulding on the other side of the truck are broken as well but the moulding is not hanging off the truck. So finally I crawl under the truck and find they put the jack on the rocker panel pinch welds smashing them in a few locations and breaking the moulding. So I go back and tell a different manager I want this fixed. He says "Get an estimate and we will submit it and get you a check." So I get an estimate from a body shop and return and give it to the same manager who told me to get the estimate. He looks it over and tells me winters and rust are hard on vehicles.
I told him I understand it is not brand new but it also did not have broken moulding and smashed rockers before I brought it to them and that had they lifted my truck on the frame as they should have we would not even be talking right now. He said he would submit it and I should hear from them within 24 hours. It has been two and a half days now and I have not heard a thing. I will be contacting them within the next day if I do not hear from them and will rewrite a review if and when my situation is handled properly. Either way the bottom line is my vehicle was damaged by the negligence of the tech who was then hoping I hopped in and drove away without noticing the damage. I should say the tech did say he was sorry the day of the incident however that is a small consolation for the damage he attempted to send me on my way with.

Let me start by saying I went to Discount Tire to see if they had better prices and service. Well I ordered my tires online and set up an appointment online to have the tires installed. When I arrived at the store I told them my name and what I was there for. The person I spoke to had trouble locating my order but finally found it. I had my winter rims and tires on the truck and explained that I wanted the new tires I ordered put on the chrome rims in the back of the truck and dispose of the old tires on the chrome rims. I then left and they said it would be about 45 mins to an hour.
About 45 mins later I received a phone call from Discount Tire and the man said, "Mr. ** we don't have the tires that you ordered in the shop. You will have to come back when the tires come in". I asked why didn't someone call and tell me that the tires did not come so I didn't waste the time and trip? He did not know. When the tires came in I went back and they installed the new tires on the chrome rims after I had to tell them again what I wanted done. I asked them to put 40 psi in each tire and I was told they did. When they were done I drove around to the other side of the building and checked the TPMS. No joke, FL 34 psi. FR 28 psi. RL 39 psi. RR 36 psi. I wanted to go back in and say something not nice, but I didn't and I went home and aired them all to 40 psi.
Well after 1 week I checked the pressure in the tires and all had lost 1-2 psi. No biggie. I checked again a week later about the same except for the FR tire TPMS read 21 psi. I thought I have a nail so I checked the best I could and did not find anything. I aired up the tire to 40 psi and checked it again the next day and it read 34 psi. I checked with a good tire gauge and it read the same. So I went back to Discount Tire and explained everything. They pulled the tire and placed it in a water tank to check for leaks and said they found nothing, no leaks anywhere. I asked them why would the tire be losing pressure if there were no leaks? They didn't know. Around 2 weeks later same tire same problem.
I go back to the store and tell them same tire same problem fix it, give me a new tire or replace them all. Well this time after about 1 hr they tell me that the TPMS was bad and leaking and they put in a rebuild kit on the sensor (I didn't know that was possible) but that is what the guy told me. No kidding I was about to do what the commercial shows and throw the tires through the window. Never had any issues with Sears and the price difference isn't nearly enough to deal with inept service.

Dodge Sprinter Van had one TPMS fail. Went in to "Smokey Point/Marysville Washington store" to confirm, & yes. So the "manager" ordered one. I made the LONG trip back and yet another one had failed so the manager would order that one also. 2nd trip, the manager told me to drive 15 miles & the TPMS would reset. DIDN'T happen. 3rd trip, the "manager" told me that two others had failed so he would order them. It took about a month to get them in. Again, I was told to drive on them so they can reset. Didn't happen. 4th trip, called "manager" to fill him in AGAIN. An hour away, he said, "Come on in".
I drove an hour to get there. He ignored me. Finally asked how he can help. I started to talk then his phone rang & he answered that call, then ran an errand to the back room. When he came out I had to say, "Can you PLEASE help with my ongoing TPMS problem? The "manager" said, "Can't you see we're busy"? I HAD to raise my voice so him & the entire waiting room could hear me say "THAT'S why I called you first and YOU told me to come right in!" The two newest TPMS' had failed already. So the "manager" ordered two more. He assured me he would make sure they're transmitting while still in the box (the next time). 5th TRIP! So I get a call from the "manager". "They're in!" I drive back to his "store", he has two new rookies install the 3rd & 4th new TPMS's and again... "Drive 15 miles for a reset". DIDN'T HAPPEN.
I WAS a devoted repeat customer. Not any longer. Cold day in hell before I return, if ever. Except to get my money back, then go to another tire shop. These guys probably broke or mis-installed at least one of the valves when breaking down a tire bead. Out of box failure? Possible? 5 trips later and it's my fault? Only for returning. No more Discount Tire. These guys are bad news. I think manager training could be of help. Too late for my business.

I saw many people come and go that got there way after I came. Once they took my car to get my tires rotated they came to me 5 minutes later saying I needed a new tire. I asked why did it take so long especially since many other people came after me and have already been taken care of. Employee said that my car was taken in order but I could clearly see that was not true.
I believe that in my case they chose who to take first because they definitely did not take cars in the order they came. I am so disappointed and feel taken advantage of. He then proceeded to tell me it could not be fixed because the plugs hold water and rust the steel belts in the tire (I guess my stupid beacon was going off). Mind you the tech did not even look at my car much less the tire when he told me this. I said, "You're kidding, right?" He said, "No" and that's when I said, "I think I'll get a second opinion".
I went down the street to Belle Tire and they took my car in and fixed the tire with an inside patch and guarantee it. I asked what I owed them and the guy just said come see us when you need tires. There were two different rebates available, and I was able to file both online in a matter of minutes. Anyone griping about the wait needs to realize that people with appointments get to go ahead of walk-ins, just like at any other service-based business that accepts appointments (like a doctor's office). Unless your repair is an emergency, making an appointment just makes sense. I've used various locations of Discount Tire for over twenty years, and I've rarely had to wait very long.

I bought a brand new set of tires recently and the traction is not good at all. I have already had two accidents where my vehicle spins out of control. My life has been put on the line and it scares to know that I cannot count on Discount Tire. I also have had a bad experience with your workers. They installed a tire one size bigger than the one that belongs on my car. I went back for them to change it out and once again they put the same size wrong tire. I was very disappointed. They do not take the necessary precautions to make sure the tires are the ones that belong on the vehicle.

When I called back, was told there were no appointments, would not honor the sale price after Fri. Tried other locations besides the Castle Rock, CO location, no appt's. It is deceitful to run a sale that you can't honor. Bought tires somewhere else.

Every time I visit the Clackamas location within two days I have a flat that needs to be investigated. They always find a nail conveniently slowly letting air out. I find it highly suspicious that a nail magically finds its way to one tire's sidewall EVERY time I go to them. It's been over a year since I last had them do a rotation; no nail.

I want to report that I will be fully compensated for the cost to repair my vehicle, therefore I am re-rating my experience with them to 4 from 1. I would have given them a 5 if not for the negligent tech who worked on it initially. I think that's a fair assessment.
Original Review: Nov. 9, 2015
Just brought my vehicle in for tire rotation and wheel balance. The service tech who worked on it ended up cross threading 4 wheel studs somehow? (1 on 1 axle, 3 on the other!) They couldn't repair it so I had to take it to the OEM dealer, where it is still being repaired as I write this. This will be a very costly repair resulting from a careless technician (I use that term lightly). It ended up with the dealer having to replace one of the axles completely because it was totally stripped out and couldn't be fixed. Discount said they will forward the bill to Corporate but I am not holding my breath because this repair bill will be very expensive costing thousands (yes thousands $).

On Monday morning October 26, 2015, I was following my son to our mechanic's shop in Highlands Ranch CO. His Honda Accord had been making some strange noises, thus the trip to the mechanic. As we were on our way in morning traffic, his entire tire came off of his car and rolled down the street against opposing traffic, causing the Honda to come to a stop (see photo). Fortunately, the tire did not hit anyone or any cars coming from the opposite direction. The tires had been purchased at Discount Tire in Centennial CO and the tires had been rotated by this shop approximately one month prior to this time. We had the car towed to the mechanic for repairs, paid for the tow and for repairs of approximately $1,000.
The mechanic found that one of the bolts that hold the lug nuts had been broken off and felt confident that it was Discount Tire's responsibility. The next day we went to Discount Tire to communicate what happened and Bill, the manager, was apologetic and seemed to be willing to take responsibility. He filed a claim with Discount Tire's insurance department and the claim was inexplicable denied. Discount Tire is not willing to take responsibility for this. Discount Tire will not get any more of my business.

I ordered 4 17" wheels with 245/45R17 tires. I applied and was approved for discount tires credit so I placed the order online. The next day a rep called me to kinda go over everything since what I ordered was NOT original factory size. I explained to him what I wanted and he checked everything and agreed with me that everything would fit perfect. He then authorized the order and told me they would be delivered in 3-5 days. Sure enough, 3 days later everything arrived. Tires were mounted and balanced. I installed the wheels and no problems. My car drives/handles great, and the new wheels and tires look great as well. All in all a very easy and pleasant experience. I think it's great that someone called me to verify that I had made the correct choices and that it would work before I received something that may or may not work. I would definitely recommend Discount Tire Direct to my friends and family.

Bought four new Michelins for my pickup to replace my old tires. Brought four new screw-in valve stems for my modular rims as the valve stems were as old as the tires. I asked that the valve stems be replaced when the tires were mounted. I then asked for the old tires to be mounted on some recently refinished rims that were loose in the pickup bed. I had pulled the old valve stems out of the loose rims because I wanted something fresh in there. I requested adhesive weights for the modular wheels.
Here is what I got. Knock-on weights on several of my modular wheels easily viewable on my front tires. Indeed, one wheel had six inches of weights in one place alone. The modular wheels were scored in numerous places (indeed, you could use the word scarred). They may be serviceable but never attractive again. The freshly restored wheels for my ranch truck that had looked so good will have to be resanded and repainted due to the scrapes and gouging from their machine. And guess where my new screw-in valve stems went? Right! They went on the old ranch truck rims that are never going to see a highway again.
Oh, yes. I wanted to mention that they tried to jack up the price on me. Yeah, about $20 a tire. And they don't offer to show you a copy of the invoice. If I hadn't asked I would have been out another $80. And don't forget to look over that invoice for items such as warranties and road service. The sweetness of a low price is soon overcome by the bitterness of poor service.

I had work done to my car and was advised that I needed tires. Discount Tire was recommended so I went there. I walked in, and I was greeted and told that someone would be with me momentarily. I waited, and was ignored, except by some other customers who were making a point to walk past me and sniff like they were smelling something unpleasant (the usual reason why no one does business in Hendersonville or Gallatin); someone came in after me, and she was waited on while I was completely ignored.
I just turned around and walked out; it is just not worth my time and money to waste it on people like this. After reading reviews of this company, I am more thankful that I did not get waited on, as I believe I would have just ended up feeling cheated and would have regretted it. If you can't even get something as simple as keeping up with customers straight, you certainly won't be able to keep anything else straight either. Do not waste your money here.

I am a 74 year old female. When I buy a need car, I immediately go to Discount Tire and purchase a tire warranty on all four tires. When the tires are worn out, I go to Discount Tire and purchase four new tires and the road hazard warranty on them. I never had to use the warranty; however, I had "peace of mind". About three months ago, the low pressure monitor light came on. I went to Discount Tire to have it checked out. They said there was no problem, put air in the tire and sent me on my way. Three days later the monitor light came on again. I took it to my mechanic who said the tire has a small nail in it, and probably could not be repaired. I went back to Discount Tire, who said there was no nail in it. They put air in again.
Two days later, the same problem. They said they repaired the tire, and sent me on my way. Two days later the light came on again. I took the car to another tire place who said the problem was now with the right rear tire. I realized that Discount Tire had moved the bad tire from the left rear to the right rear, in order to claim that it was a different. I marveled that what I thought was a reputable place would go to such lengths to keep from replacing a tire, which could not be repaired, in order to not honor the warranty. I went to Sam's Club and just bought four new tires. I JUST SAW A Discount Tire commercial on TV, and wondered if there was a website where I could warn others. Thank you for this website. The managers claimed to be Christians, looked me straight in the eye, and lied to me.

I don't like these things but decided one of my Dually 1 ton work trucks could use a new spare. I thought what nicer way could I use these rebates. I would pay for the difference with my Discount Tire Direct credit card. I ordered the new tire Friday, September 18, 2015.
Since then I have spent over two hours of what is left of my 72 year old life on the phone to no avail. The technician who was standing next to me told me that one of my wheel covers was missing before he touched my car. It was impossible! Then two more employees came and insisted that one of my wheel covers was missing and they had nothing to do with it. I wish that I had videoed my car before letting them rotate the wheels. I have been a satisfied customer of Discount Tire since first doing business with them in February 1996. My experience has found Discount Tire to offer competitively priced tires with competent and friendly staff. Discount Tire has satisfied my tire and wheel needs now for 20 years and has become my "go to" vendor, always competitive in both price and service.
My last visit with the store at 9735 W Happy Valley Road has presented a challenge that I am certain will be handled as equally satisfying. On 8/3/15 I rushed into Discount Tire to see that my BMW 328i was ready to rolled from Phoenix to Baton Rouge, LA and back. Learning of my father"s cancer diagnosis, I was immediately leaving. As I stood behind my car observing the two new tires being installed, the attendant working on the right rear slipped and hit my car above the wheel well. It was loud enough to get my attention but he apologized and said no mark had been sustained. I thought no harm no foul. However upon returning home and closer examination I discovered that my car had in fact been dented.
I returned from Baton Rouge two days ago on Friday. I returned to Discount Saturday and reported the damage. I was shown some claim forms that I am unsure were filled out. Either way I did not received any documentation. After leaving I realized I should have requested documentation. No signature was requested, from me. With the tech being there I figured they would simply ask him about the incident. Didn't happen. I return tomorrow for an 8:15am appointment to followup on this matter. I know mistakes happen. There is certainly an inconvenience issue however more importantly, I hope that there is not an integrity issue. Before reporting a claim I have treated as a valued customer. I hope I feel the same upon conclusion of this "dent" saga.

I bought 5 Cooper Discoverer ATP tires from Discount Tire Direct 2 years ago. 4 of the 5 tires were OK, but the 5th had issues from the first day it was mounted. I bought a Wally World life time mount balance and rotate. From day one the tire had a hop to it. I figured, being on my off road FORD work truck, it's hard to tell if it's the tires or the road. In this case, it was the tire. The 5th ATP had a blown belt from the factory. Before I realized it was a belt I had the tire balanced several times at Wally World. Every time the tech put at least 3 oz of weight on the wheel and it still bounced down the road. So I had them pull the tire off the rim to see if the wheel was bent, no worries there, true as a die. As it turns out it had a blown belt under the thread.
I called Discount Tire Direct. By the way, this is the only place you can get the Discoverer ATP tire. They told me to take it to a Cooper dealer for replacement. The Cooper shop said the ATP is not actually Cooper but a off brand labeled as a Cooper and they weren't going to touch it. So I called DTD back and they said because I didn't buy the road hazard warranty, I was S.O.L… really? You mean a manufacturer's defect is not covered under the standard Cooper or DTD warranty? The woman said "nope, but we can sell you a warranty for all 5 tires for $100 and we'll replace the bad." So DTD wouldn't make good on a bad tire but, if I buy something you don't want or need for $100, they will send you a new replacement tire. Yikes, what to do?
