I search for a couple of days online and via phone looking for a set of decent all season tires which handle well in snow. Also looked at a tire which offered a long tread warranty and found it in a General tire. We had first went with a local big box store who has a tire service center but due to being told wrong info about how well the tire we were sold would handle in snow, wet conditions and we later found out on consumer reports and customers' reviews that this tire was not very good in snow we canceled the order and found a much better set with Discount tire.
We did buy Certificates which will be honored after 3 years per the manager and tire geeks in garage and I also contacted the corporate office to run the extension on the years past them and to keep their customers happy I was told per Cooper and Jerrad at the store they will work with customers up to 6 years to replace worn out tires in order to keep their customers happy and keep coming back, now that is a good company but time will tell if they are being honest about the extension on warranty or not, I had them write the extension and sign their name on my receipts. Clean showroom, waiting area, no coffee or water due to Covid I guess. Staff was very helpful, knowledgeable. Very busy place.

For the 2nd or 3rd time I went to Discount Tire in Baytown. At this time I was deceived by a seller. I ask 4 Yokohama tires and he convinced me about the Continental tires... Until there all good. I agreed and at the end later I found he sold me service that I don't ask for. A charge that was supposed to be 480 dollars went to 616 dollars. If your relatives are older like me don't let them go by themselves in this shop in Baytown. Can be this guy will attend them and they will finish with a big bill like me. He show me something and start to speak faster and a kind louder. Is a strategy used with older people or don't have plenty knowledge of the language. Well was paid, he won. But my family and me will not go there anymore. My church most of us are older than 70... I warning them also. Don't allow someone in your family older go by herself. Is sad the quality this business is coming down. Always have that person to tell you to look your receipt...

I had to buy new wheels because my old ones were chewing up my tires. I went to Discount Tire as I had bought my tires there. They replaced my wheels but took my hubcaps, said they "lost" them when I went to get my vehicle, then said they would provide replacement hubcaps but when I went there a 2nd time, they told me to go to Auto Zone or Walmart to buy hubcaps. I told them that I did not intend to "gift" my old hubcaps to them. It is clear that they kept my hubcaps and probably sold them on the internet. And my wheels are still losing air every day, so it was a waste of money. Will not return to this store ever again.

I discovered Discount Tires 4 years ago after a very bad service experience at Costco tire shops. I have found their pricing in subsequent tire set replacement to be overall less expensive, many times by hundreds of dollars, than any other major retailer/wholesale club. No attempt to up-sale but rather informed recommendations based on your car and driving needs.
The dedication to onsite service excellence, follow up reminders for rotations, seasonal suggestions, free anytime pressure checking to be far and away better than anything I have experienced in the past (owning cars for 60 plus years that a lot of experience). Most impressive is the staff from the front counter to the technicians. The locations are clean, bright and consumer friendly. Last week was the 4th set of tires, multiple cars and grandchildren gifts, I will recommend without hesitation this company.

Checked in at 8:43am to buy 4 new tires. I was told there were 2 people in front of me and I should be done by about 9:20am. After waiting in the parking lot and seeing other cars arrive after me & go in ahead of me, at 9:45 I went inside and asked how much longer it was going to be. I was the told there were now 3 people in front of me & I would just have to wait. At that point I told them that I wanted my money back & that I would go purchase tires somewhere else. As soon as I said that I was magically put next in line. I have been buying my tires at Discount Tire for many years and never had a problem like this. Their customer service has gone from excellent to terrible. I will be buying my tires somewhere else from now on.

I asked what it would cost to fix a leaky tire. They said it is FREE. I made an appointment and was there the next day. They pulled the tire and told me the tire was not repairable.. I told them to put the tire back and I will leave. They said NO. They said they could not let me leave with that tire. I asked for the corporate number and told them about my lawyer.. The manager said he would put on a loaner or something. I finally got my car back and I took my old tire also! There was a lot of small black pieces in the old tire and I was told later that the pieces were not from my tire.. The free tire repair is just another scam to MAKE you buy tires..

Escalated to regional support. They offered replacement of both OEM tires or aftermarket wheelset of equal or less value. They were very professional and gave all indication they would address the innapropriate attitude of employee I had interaction with, and commitment they would use this as a training opportunity for the technician to set him up for success.

Had Alcoa TN location replace original tires on my 2016 Ram on 8/25/20. On returning to work I discovered that two wheels had been significantly damaged by the tire change machine. One wheel had a 1-inch pc missing and a gauge on the opposing side. Another rim had a 3-inch long crack and hanging. (Chrome clad OEM wheels that retail for over $400 each).
This is a one owner truck with 22k miles and has never had so much as a stone chip. Imagine my frustration. I called the location manager and all I got was, "Sent me a picture so I can talk with the tech." Not an apology, a statement that they would fix their damage or explanation as to how it happened. Only a glib comment that wheels get brittle over time. It's a 3 yr old truck. I unfortunately see small claims court in my near future. This location has a significant training issue, and no system to check quality of work. My advice spend a few more dollars on a tire and deal with a reputable establishment.

I own a 2016 Toyota RAV4, which I have been buying the tire for this vehicle from Discount Tire located 1550 S.Friendswood DR., Friendswood, TX. I noticed earlier this year that there was vibration going on after I had purchased a set of tires from this same location. I went back in to have them recheck the balancing of the tires and they the balancing was fine. The person at the store said that the problem was my car and not the tires even tho the problem didn't start until the new tires were put on my car. Well my wife and I took a road to go visit my brother in Madison, AL and took my RAV4 into a Discount Tire store in Madison. I explained to the manager of the store in Madison what was going on with the vibration and he ask me if we could go for test ride and we did and when we arrived back at the store, he suggested that he would start with rebalancing the all four tires to see if that would make a difference.
Well after the rebalancing of the tires, he admitted that the tires needed be balanced and yes that did solve the vibration that we were feeling. Now on to the NEXT one as of today Friday 8/21/2020. I got on (Discount Tire) website last night and made an appt. for this morning at 8:30am. I printed out my appt. information which I took with me. This vehicle is my wife"s car and when I drove the car yesterday, I noticed a lot of vibration and rumbling noise in the front tires. When I arrived at the store they want you to stay in your while they start asking you questions about why you have come. So as this person is asking me questions< I notice the same information is on the sheet that I had printed out, so I said maybe this sheet will help. He took the sheet and finished getting the info he needed. Then about 25 minutes later a second person showed up with his gage to determine the condition of the tires.
The reason for my visit was to determine simply what was causing the vibration and rumbling on the front tires. All these tires have the road hazard warranty on them. I simply wanted to focus on the front two tires to see if the vibration coming from the car or the tires. The guy that came out with gauge determined that tires in the tires on the front were fine but the tires that were on the rear were definitely bad because the outside 1.5 inch edge was bald. Him and I spent the next :20 minutes going round and round what he recommended that I do, not doing what I wanted. He was sure that if I would just do what he suggested that really the best which meant buy two new tires. He really just wanted me to shut up and tell him, "Just do whatever you want."
An hour later, I saw that I had a bent rim which I purchased from Discount Tire, I still had the rumbling and vibration which I dropped the car off at my mechanic for them to determine if they could determine what the problem is. One thing I have realized through this is when there is a GOOD manager at the store then you typically will get real good service. This Discount store at 1550 S. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX. 77546-4832 customer service is very poor, I will NOT be returning to this store.
P.S., While I was in the store waiting, a girl who work there came rolling a tire through the waiting area to an older gentleman to advise him that they could service that tire because of the condition of the tire, wow really, needless to say he was pissed, he told her to put the tire back on the truck an he would take his business somewhere else. The manager at the Madison, AL. was the type of manager I remembered back years ago that ran the Discount Stores. I think that I have only written about 3 reviews my whole life and I am 64. I think it's time to go to the competition. I honestly can't give this store even 1 star but I can will give them an F-

Bought 4 tires and was highly pressured to purchase an additional coverage to cover future repairs if needed. Would have cost as much as 4 tire repairs at Walmart and DT claims they do free tire repairs anyway. Thought that was shady. Came back a year later for my complimentary tire rotation and they informed me a tire repair I had done (out of town) was illegal and they could not put the tire back on the vehicle and I had to buy a new tire to get my vehicle back. Final and third strike is when I went back in for a free tire repair... nail in the tire tread.
I was told It was not repairable and would have to buy another new tire. I asked them to put the bad tire back in the trunk and was given another story about how some heat damage to the inner tire prevented them from being able to add the tire to the rim and they tried to keep my damaged tire. I demanded my tire back and took it to another local auto shop who was able to fix it and get me on my way. This woman will never return to DT.

On my first time came for tire valve replacement and they offered free replacement. That was great thing. But one month later the same tire pressure sensor stopped working. I couldn't blame them because it was not damaged soon after replacement. Yesterday, I went to the same store for air pressure sensor replacement and spent $65. I went back home directly after that. This morning, I went out on highway and lost all that tire's air on the half way. I have a small air pump to try to put in air, but it did not work at all. A nice guy stopped to help me and fixed the problem for me. It's actually very simple, just pull out the valve hard to the right position. This Discount Tire store did not do that properly after put the valve back on the tire (did they do that by purpose? I don't know).
Now it reminded me that the valve was always leaking when I tried to pump in air after my first time replaced the valve. It has a slow leaking and much harder to pump in air at that time. And that could be the reason of air pressure sensor damage. Lesson---Free service may cost you much much more later, even you and your family's lives.

I called Discount Tire in Benton, AR and scheduled an appointment for 9:30AM on July 1, 2020. I had made arrangements to purchase and have installed, 4 tires for my truck. I got there about 15 minutes early and was told that my wait time would 2.5 hours (minimum) because of all the walk-ins. They said, "we are really busy today!" Well then, why book an appointment if they are not going to honor their commitment? This Discount Tire store is obviously mis-managed and does not know how to treat repeat customers like myself properly. I did not wait. I found a local tire shop in my area and had the work done, with a scheduled appointment that really held true. I will not be returning to Discount Tire in Benton, AR and I will advise all my friends to use the local tire shop in my area for their tire needs. I have purchased tires many l times for numerous cars & trailers. They have been good to work with. But things are not always as they seem. Now you are placed on hold for 30-50 minutes when you call stores. You can typically wait 3 hrs. To get work done. I recently purchased 1400.00 set of BFG tires for a pickup. They had a terrible imbalance problem. I called the store and made an appointment to have the fronts re-balanced which they claimed they did. They told me that the size of tire shifts after balancing??? We physically watched while they re-balanced them from our truck in the shop. The new balancer machine clearly reads (if it doesn’t say ok then it’s not). The tire we watched them balance positively did never say ok. It was off the machine. Read 4.5oz to start then 1.5 over and over 3-4 times. They installed it anyhow.
The first time we drove @ 50mph it shook the truck. We called the store and drove 18 miles in town before they answered. Then we’re told maybe it was our steering, (wrong I’m a journeyman GM mechanic). After a heated argument and the manager suggested we exchange them for another lame brand. I told him I had experience with those crappy tires for 10 years and bought BFG because they typically had no issues and better life. Finally after I had to inform him I would have our lawyer deal with this issue he offered to replace the front two new tires 3 weeks old. Long story sorry moral is who wants to waste their life balancing tires you pay big bucks for and having to stress out having to call and argue with people over their product issues?

I bought tires 2 weeks ago to the day. I have been back 7 or 8 times cause the tires hop as I drive. They have done everything to try and fix and today they put 4 different tires on and it still does this. They say my rims are not bent and I had to take it to another garage and have them write something saying my tires were bad before they exchanged them. These tires ride tougher than the others and I still have the hop in it as I’m driving. I will never use them again. This was my first experience with them but will be the last after they fix this. Every time I’ve went back they say it’s the road force or needed more weights. I believe that both those should have been done the first time not every time I went there. Beware and stay away from these people.

I replaced a flat tire with a new one at Discount Tire today. I have 3 issues with the service I received: (1) The pressure on the new tire was less than the minimum recommended by my car maker and I got a warning of low pressure from my car as I was driving home, had to refill it myself. (2) The new tire was placed on a front wheel (where the flat tire was) but when I looked at the receipt from Discount Tire, it has printed on it the following recommendation: "When replacing less than four tires, Discount Tire recommends that the new tires will be placed on the rear axle of the vehicle". Which means they didn't follow their own recommendation. (3) When I called to speak to the manager I was placed on hold indefinitely. Purchased a set of Michelin tires for my Ranger at the Hollywood Park Discount store in San Antonio little over a year ago. Rear tire had nail in it so I sent my grandson with the truck. He was told they couldn't find any record of the tires being purchased there, but would fix the flat... with the "warning" that if they could find anything else wrong with the tire they would not put it back on the truck and he would have to purchase a new tire. This scare/threat tactic is supposedly to assure safety for the customer but sounds a whole lot more like an unethical sleazy sales tactic. I called the manager and was given the same poor answer. Clearly they don't honor their warranties and their sales tactics are low level and questionable. I will never again purchase tires from Discount. And they kept trying to tell me the car was ok and it's "normal for new tires to make your car turn sometimes until they break in" ... Are you serious? I'm so glad I know about cars. I told the manager check the tire pressure after the fourth time I drove off. "Oh it's good they're all balanced." Nope. Drive back. I told them it needs to be at a minimum of 38, it's a sports car and is supposed to actually be 50. "Ok it's good." Drive off. Nope. I watched him this time. It was at 33.
After I had told him already.. I was so mad. "Oh it's torque steering." Really? Because torque steering starts happening after 57k miles right? I'm not dumb. I know what that is. Finally, they took off all the tires and ACTUALLY rebalanced them with the right weights and psi and it worked. After they had put it at 37. He just couldn't do what I said and put 38. Like, really? Oh! By the way, they stripped my stud on the first attempt.

I think using 25% of tread left as a rule to determine a tire is bad is just wrong. What else do you own that you only use 75% of it? 3rd visit: The TPMS had a fault that needed resetting that they did not do, but I returned for a fix. Sloppy.
4th visit: to pick up the wheel trim - wrong color, so they asked me to research and get the right one. They ordered 3 more to match.
5th visit: to pick up additional wheel trims.
Not ONCE did they apologize, discount tire is 40 miles round trip. The TPMS valve gets broken by a careless tech that pulls at the valve stalk thinking it's rubber. The wheel trim gets broke because the tech couldn't be bothered to use the correct tool. One of the service managers kept saying "we are professionals" when I asked for road force balance results and so this just added to the annoyance. So this cost discount tire: 2 TPMS - an Audi and aftermarket one -$ 120, 4 new wheel covers @$90 each $360, so in total ~ $500, plus their time to do the work over. So that's a dent into their profit. It cost me 4 additional trips and close to 8 weeks of to and fro.
Carelessness is an attitude and culture problem - do you trust them to lift YOUR car on the correct lifting points. Incompetence comes through lack of knowledge and tool training. Quality is about pride in one's work and how the repair center is managed. Not once did anyone apologize. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the Discount Tire Store in Solana Beach, San Diego.

I came in to Discount to get 4 new tires for my trailer. I wanted to leave my trailer so I could run some errands I needed to get done. The rep told me it would only be 45 minutes so I decided to wait. It’s been 2 hours now as I have watched at least 7 cars and trucks come and go with 4 new tires each. I have inquired 2 times as to how much longer and 20 minutes ago I was given an apology and said it would be only 15 more minutes. REALLY FRUSTRATED! I am going out of town tomorrow and did not have 2 hours to waste here at discount tire!

On 12/18/2019, I visited Discount Tire #1757 in Little Elm, TX to have a new tire installed on the rear of my C7 Corvette Z06 Z07. In the process of attempting to mount the tire, the employees at this establishment damaged a 20"x12" rim on the rear driver's side of my vehicle. On the morning of 12/19/2019, I spoke with the store manager, Tad. Tad stated, "Well, I was here yesterday, and we took pictures of the damage on your wheel before we began work on your car. We were going to tell you that your wheel was damaged, but you were on the phone, so we couldn't tell you." The store manager also attempted to insinuate that my wheel was damaged due to "curb rash" that I must have incurred on my own.
This is a blatant lie. This car retailed for just shy of $100k - needless to say, I am extremely careful and meticulous about this vehicle in every way. Automobiles are not only a passion of mine, they are a form of self-expression for me. All things considered, I know about each and every inch of my Corvette. Rarely do I drive this car due to my work extraordinary schedule. Furthermore, it is only highway-driven and garage-stored.
As for the store manager's accusation that I must have hit a curb sustaining "curb rash" prior to visiting Discount Tire, I will say this: the wheel that was damaged is on the driver side rear solely. Apparently, the store manager did not think about the fact that we drive on the right side of the roadway in this country and also tend to sit and exit our vehicles on the left side before he made the allegation that the damaged wheel was due to "curb rash". If that was the case, the damage would likely be on the passenger side of the car and likely affect the front or both the front and rear wheels on the passenger side. Again, the damage was sustained on the driver side rear wheel only.
There was absolutely no damage on this car until it was grossly mishandled by Tad and his subordinates at Discount Tire in Little Elm. Specifically, the high-gloss paint was scratched off the aluminum wheel. Not only was the perimeter of the wheel scratched, but also the inner radius of the wheel was scratched as well. Additionally, in some areas the damage exceeded the high-gloss finish of the wheel, therefore, the aluminum incurred corrosion.
The store manager, Tad, refused to take accountability for the actions of him and his subordinates, so I have had no choice, but to pay to replace the wheel that Discount Tire has ruined. I have contacted Discount Tire Regional Offices and a claim has been filed, however, I have yet to receive any substantial result or follow-up to the claim that was filed. Simply put, do not take any vehicle that you care about to Discount Tire unless you are okay with your vehicle potentially being damaged. They completely lack respect, honesty, class, accountability, and professionalism - they do not deserve the patronage.

I dropped my car off at Discount Tire on Oak and Scottsdale Rd to fix a flat and rotate all 4 tires. Upon pick up I was told that the flat tire was patched instead of replaced and I was all set to go. When I went out to my car I noticed that one of my aftermarket wheels were scratched and that it was a brand new tire put on versus my old tire patched. I went back inside and talked to Jake (who wasn't the one who originally helped me from the beginning) and he quickly apologized for the confusion and took full responsibility for someone else's mistake and rectified the issue by getting my wheel resurfaced the next day free of charge. Jake showed that his goal was to help me as a customer, he took ownership of a mistake that he didn't cause and did everything in his power to make it right. He didn't argue, blame anyone else, he did it all with a smile.
Normally when the tire is not fixable, under warranty, and needs replacing I pay the cost of the new tires warranty which is 50 bucks, due to the inconvenience and confusion Jake didn't charge me for the new tire and made sure that the new tire had a warranty before I left the shop. When I had my wheel resurfaced I asked Jake if the company he used could fix another wheel that I had road rashed a year prior and I would pay for that wheel separately. Jake quickly called and made it happen. I was thoroughly impressed with Jake's excellent customer service and wanted to let someone know how valuable of an employee he is to Discount Tire.
I can't tell you how much I appreciated his help, positive attitude, and again his outstanding customer service. More people in this customer service industry need to be like Jake, he is awesome!!! Jake made sure I didn't leave with a scratched wheel and a tire that didn't have a warranty. Somebody give this guy a raise because he highly exceeded my expectations and put the customer first!

First of all, I don’t have any problem with the Apple Valley Discount Tire location or the employees. I would like to say that the staff is great and I have been doing business with them for a long time. This is about the Corporate side Greed and the Rebate Promotions they fail to honor. I went into Apple Valley Discount Tire for tires (what else) and the earliest appointment they had was weeks out, the day after Black Friday, so I took it. This had the added bonus of being able to get the Black Friday Discount, or so I thought. Promotion Name: BLACK FRIDAY 10% Mail-In Rebate 11-28-2019 to 12-01-2019 – 87192.
I was in on the 30th, submitted the rebate on the 1st, and then on the 5th receive an email stating that I was denied because: “Your purchase was made outside of the promotional period.”. Well my receipt… you know, that piece of paper thing they give you after you pay… with the purchase information needed for the above rebate… says I was in on the 30th well within the promotional period… so WTF! The thing is, if you really want to rip me off for 10% of the bill or around $80 give or take, then keep it. I can go elsewhere in the future, and you can’t buy advertising like this… It has to be earned… All the single stars $80 bucks can buy.

Discount Tire has always been five stars with me, but this last experience was quite different. I went in to get a set of Michelin Tires. I called and ensured that the desired tires were in stock, and then scheduled for the next day. I arrived and they had no record of this. They then said the tires that I wanted were not available and "conned" me into a different tire as I needed the tires that day. Looking back, I wish I'd gone elsewhere. I'm frustrated that I was assured that the tires were in stock only to arrive and find that they weren't. Mr. ** noted this conversation never took place, though I recorded it.
I feel they took advantage of our situation and sold us low quality tires vs. the preferred Michelin that I went there to get. I won't go back to Discount Tire unless I have a lot of time to wait for my preferred tires and get it in writing that they'll be there when I arrive to get them put on. I also won't deal with Mr. ** again, but would choose another associate. Customer service here has slipped tremendously in the past few years.

They were selling Geostar tires that fit the car so we bought a set which I mounted and balanced (ASE Certified Mechanic trained in dynamic balancing). In less than 6 months two tires failed from tire separation and were removed before they blew out. The third tire had the entire sidewall blow out when my wife was driving along a rural highway. Luckily, she was able to control the car. I removed the fourth tire before we had it fail. I emailed Discount Tire and got a reply to "call Customer Service". My feeling is that I already made contact and explained the situation. I told Discount Tire that the Geostar tires were not just bad, but dangerous. I have bought many tires from Discount Tires Direct and from their retail stores. Poor tires and poor customer service mean that Discount Tire just lost a customer.

My family had always purchased tires from the Discount tires. My brother took his car to the discount tires for balance and rotation and was refused the service and sent away. He left the country to work overseas for several years, the car was garaged for storage. Just because the tires (which were purchased from the Discount Tires) were older than 6 years now, even they had only 15,000 miles on them, never exposed to extreme weather and temperature. They would not even rotate the tires.
I understand if a tire been in extreme heat and cold climate, which made the tire unsafe to work with but, these tires were taken care of with extreme low mileage. The rep started to want to sell me new set of tires, why? So we put more into the landfill? Then he said the best them can do is to check the tire pressure. The kid checking the tire pressure for me (can tough the compressor myself), wanted to put lower pressure than what's marked on the sticker on the door jam. He claimed if the stick reads 32 PSI then we should keep the tires at lower PSI when they are hot??? I questioned that wisdom, but he was very firm on what he was told to do. I asked him to put in 35 PSI at 3 PSI over the recommended pressure since the tires were warm after being driven.
I will not go back to that franchise in the future. I could understand the concerns for their workers but if they are scared to even rotate the tires (not asking them to dismount it), How the heck would a service station service all those cars and truck on the roadway with tires older than 6 years? The guy even walked me over to a floor sign and pointed out why they won't "touch" the tires because it's aged beyond 6 years.... My goodness, have to have these kids tell me what's right and wrong. If they won't even rotate the tires after the tires had the 6th birthday.... they can keep all the new ones because my family won't be going back there in the future.

Quick service. I had a flat in one of my tires before work and decided to check which one using a gauge. Proceeded in going to the gas station and filled it up until morning since I work the night shift. I went to DT and they charge me $160/tire for Michelin Defenders T+H. Prior, I had them inspect the car because I already inspected it and found that there was dry rot and a nail on both the rear tires.
One tire needed to be replaced because of inner shoulder puncture, while the other is normal tread repair. My decision to buy new tires is because I had another tire flat when I was in Michigan and it was plugged. Had a bad experience with tire plugs because when the weather is hot, hissing noise comes from the newly plugged unless the weather was cold, which sealed it. That would mean that 3 of my tires would have been plugged with 28,000 miles on them. I proceeded in buying four tires for $950 (+ tax, warranty, etc.) in North Austin. I'm astounded that the new tires has a comfort ride vs. my old tires which were Dunlop Signature CS.

I just wanted to point out that Drayton at Discount Tires, Tega Cay, SC 29708 was most helpful, knowledgeable, and trustworthy with helping me today. I called before-hand because my low air pressure in the tires light went on a few days ago, though I had replaced four tires recently. Honestly, this low pressure in the tires light has gone on and off ever since I got it, and I just would take it into the dealer and they would re-set it. This time, I decided to try a new place, Discount Tires, for getting all my tires replaced, and I thought they did a fantastic job, for the tire selection for my particular make and model of car was spot on. Drayton said they broke the sensor (I think it was likely shoddy from when I purchased the car) and that he offered to fix it right away.
15 minutes later, free of charge, I had the issue fixed and the light was off. The main thing was that the tire pressure was indeed just fine. I appreciate that they were concerned for my safety and asked me to bring the car in promptly. What a fantastic business, in that they were also concerned that they did a proper job in replacing all the tires! Thank you Drayton. I hope to come to Discount Tires as much as possible.

I've been a good supporter of Discount Tire over the years, mostly in the Phoenix Metro area and recently in Show Low, AZ, as they opened a store there a few years back. This morning about 8:15 AM I call and speak to Eric. I ask for an appointment to get tires rotated and balanced. He says, "Bring it in right now." I say I'm an hour away. He gives me the runaround to schedule an appointment later this morning or this afternoon. I jump to it and get there to work with Will. He sets me up and tells me he'll take care of me. Good, I check the time and it's 9:35 AM.
At 11:30 I'm frustrated and pissed. No communication. I look and my Jeep is parked in the same spot. I stand at the counter until 11:40 when Will finally acknowledges me and says I'm next after the Escalade. I say, "No, give me the keys. I'm done and have to leave." On the way out he asks if I would like to schedule an appointment! "Here's the deal, buy a set of tires from us and we include free balance and rotation every 7,000 miles (used to be 5,000 miles) for the life of the tires."
They don't tell you upfront that the tire rotation and balance is going to take 2-3 hours. The stores in the valley were always prompt and communicated. This isn't the first time the Show Low store has disappointed me with their lack of customer service or follow-up with their deal. They are busy, so as long as new customers are coming through the doors they will not feel the sting of repeat customers leaving. Until their service improves I'll be off to shop and get service from another dealer.

I first visited Discount Tire a few months ago to get new tires. They surprised me with great service, tires, and prices. This morning I made an unplanned visit on the way to work because of a nearly flat tire. It was early and they already had several customers waiting. They opened 5 minutes after I got there and had enough service reps to immediately take care of my problem. Because I was going to be late for work, they put my car in first. The tire was checked, patched, and tires rotated before I could even catch up on work emails (less than 15 min). And the best part was there was no charge. Granted I had the tire protection warranty, but not sure that it would've cost much or anything just for the plug.
The best part is that the person who serviced the tire came out, showed me the small piece of metal that had pierced the tire and reviewed everything with me. Her service was incredible as was the service rep who first helped and then later provided an update on my car. All I can say is WOW! It doesn't get much better than that. Discount Tire is Highly Recommended. -William

I have been a customer of Discount Tire for years now and on the 26th of August I had stopped in the main Street Mesa location around 11 am because I had a vibration coming from the front. I asked one of the workers to check it out. I suggested it feels like the tire pressure is low or the lug nuts aren't torqued down enough. Discount tire was the last people to touch my wheel. He put in air in the tires and I asked him again to check to make sure the wheel was torqued enough and he said it would be a 3 hour wait or longer and they were super busy but I could bring it to the Gilbert location if I still had a vibration.
About 2 miles away from the Gilbert road exit the vibration got really bad and then my car jerked to the left. Almost hit the divider. Thankful I was in the hov lane and was able to avoid hitting anything and had to limp my car off the copper exit and avoided getting hit.. I stopped and saw that 3 lug nuts came off and one wheel stud broke off. I immediately called this location (South Scottsdale) who did the work about 350 miles ago for my left front wheel being out of balance and they didn't seem to concerned about it but told me that the location nearest can handled it.. Had to get it towed to Subaru in Gilbert and they fixed the broken wheel studs and then went to the Gilbert location to have them try and resolve the issue. I had filed a claim for damages to my car and the tow / loss of use (20 days) and putting my life and the lives of others in danger, as well as my time I've wasted.
I talked to Jim in the claims Dept. Told him what had happened.. All he was concerned about was the bill I got from Subaru and the tow company. I sent him all the requested photos and invoices and brought up the whole putting my life in danger. He ended being out of the office until the 23rd. And he lies to me when he said he be in the office at 8:30 and he would touch base with me and his automated email said they same thing. And avoided that conversation as much as possible.
I got ahold of him on the following Monday after leaving a voicemail that he ignored but responded because of my email which he dismissed my concerns. Said they would pay for the damages. That was it. I got a check to cover Subaru and the tow company. I had to then go back to the Gilbert location for them to try and help me. Ended up finding out the wheel was damaged along with the rest of them because this location gouged and scratched my wheels too like Subaru stated as well as they put the messed up wheel on my car and said, "Don't drive on it unless you're bringing to discount tire" a couple miles from my place. Played phone tag with Jim. He still dismissed my concerns both via phone and email.
Ended up having to order a new wheel. Well that was discontinued and to find wheels in the size I had was very hard. Discount in Gilbert put a random wheel on my car but it wasn't the same spec as my other wheels so they just said they put it on there to get it home. All they did was cover my repairs all. Got me a rental car on Sept 4th for 6 days before I started my new job so my first day I had to return the rental car because discount tire didn't allow me to use it for longer. So for 14 days I wasn't able to drive anywhere unless I borrowed my girl's car.
I put calls into corporate with promises of speaking with this locations vp as well as Jim's boss but none of them called me and even refused to put me through to their voicemails when I called again. They just had Jim call me... Discount tires customer service is by far the worse of any company I've ever dealt with.. Long story short discount tire could of prevented all of this if they took 10 mins out of their day to make sure their customers' cars are safe. And could care less that their customers are truly taken care of. At least the Gilbert location is helping me out with getting my car back on the road. Guessing corporate was never give my messages but I'll keep leaving this review everywhere until they truly resolve this mess they created.
Email I sent to Jim Brandt in claims. "I want discount tires to cover the loss of time for the time I was without my car. I don't care you guys got me a rental car I couldn't even use for my first week of work because it was only for 6 days. You guys only covered 9 days at 20 dollars a day. That's a joke. The only reason I said "Yeah sure" when we talked because I was busy trying to find wheels for my car. And now I've had time to think about it since I just got the check. And what about covering my time dealing with you and having to be at Gilbert trying to sort all this out which is almost a total of 10 hours.
Considering a rental car is at least 35 a day and I have been without my car for 20 days now luckily Gilbert location was able to find wheels for my car and the only reason I had to order new ones mine was discontinued and you never even processed a claim for my other wheels for the scratches and such. And nor have you guys even compensated me for putting my life and others in danger which I said multiple times to you and you ignored that. So it's good to know that discount feels this headache and putting lives in danger your company including you have caused me is only worth 180 dollars (I'm not including the wheels because you guys didn't have a choice to replace them all).
I want to resolve this through you please before I seek legal advice. But I feel getting a lawyer involved will be the only way you guys will take me seriously. And I appreciate you completely ignoring the subject matter of my emails and our phone conversations and it goes to show discount tire really cares about its customers." Would love if corporate would really reach out me about this matter.

The sounds and vibrations got progressively worse, so I decided to take it to my mechanic. On the way to the mechanic, the front left wheel came off my vehicle while I was doing 55MPH on a highway. The wheel crossed 4 lanes of traffic to the other side of the highway. I filed a claim with Discount Tire and Michael **, a Senior Claims Specialist, denied the claim. They didn't even offer to pay my deductible when I later filed a damage claim with my own insurance. In addition to the $5000+ in damages, the body shop found that the lug holes were no longer round, but oval due to the abnormal wear created by the loose lug nuts, and the wheel itself had to be replaced because it was no longer round. I am fortunate nobody was hurt by the rogue wheel. The last person to touch that wheel was the Discount Tire rep who rotated them.

A little over a year ago I purchased 4 new tires that Discount Tire rep recommended to me. Now, I’m having to replace all of them. The rep told me they know these tires do not last even half of the mileage warranty. Why on earth did they sell them to me then? I have been a loyal Discount Tire customer but not anymore. I no longer recommend them at all.

I have been a Discount Tire customer in Colo & AZ. Bought 4 new Bridgestone RFT Tires from DT ($955) even though the tires on the car were brand new, just not RF Tires though. They were installed on June 8th at 430 PM. Checked the air pressure since they usually never inflate any of my tires to the proper amount. Again, DT inflated all 4 of my tires to 35 lbs, the sticker on the inside door jam states 30 lbs. As I was deflating the tires to the correct amount, I noticed my right front rim was chewed up pretty bad. I called the DT store & was told to come back & let the manager look at the rim. Drove the 50 mi RT & the manager accused me of running into curbs. I have only had the car for 1 week & I don't hit curbs. I started a claim w/ DT & sent the adjuster pics of the rim.
After 11 days & me having to call the adjuster I got an email telling me they won't pay to repair the rim because they say I hit curbs. If you hit curbs, the rash in on the outside of the rim on the face & not on the inside of the rim. So they are willing to lose a 15 yr customer over a $125 rim repair that they caused. DT used to look over your rims before working on your car w/ you. They would make note of prior damage & discuss it w/ you. This is the 1st time DT has never looked at the rims w/ me. I usually watch them like a hawk when they installed new tires on my Corvette. They never scratched my Corvette rims, even when installing new RF Tires ($2,000) which are very difficult to put on. I assumed incorrectly that they would be careful. I will never buy or use DT again.

Eight hundred for four but you get one fifty in rebate." No that is not what was originally discussed. I told him, "Give me corporate number." He put me on hold. I held too long and finally hung up. Took the van here to have two tires replaced. Had 3 kids with me and only 2 or 3 customers ahead of me. We ended up waiting about 2 hours to get out. They fiddle too much with the mechanics. All they should do is mount and remove tires and that's it. They ended up messing with something they shouldn't have touched and screwed up a TPMS sensor. I know now they did it on purpose but I'll get to that. 10 miles away my TPMS light came on. I called and told them about it but I was driving 1,500 miles away. A man apologized in a fake tone. Two weeks later I am here making them fix it under warranty because it was fine before I came. I called the regional office in Schertz, Tx first to ensure I wouldn't be made to wait again.
So sitting in the office waiting for the fix, I am right next to the register and I overhear 3 CUSTOMERS come in talking to a salesman about the EXACT SAME TPMS problem I had. Except they are passive about it, and the salesman are telling them that the sensor battery needs replacing for $20, or the sensor needs to be replaced. They are saying the life of the tire pressure sensor is 7 years and it is normal that they stop working after a tire gets changed. I cannot believe the audacity of these people- to take advantage of passive customers right next to me.
Who they are taking care of for free because I was firm and I called Regional to complain. This is not a normal occurrence. This is a scam. They are running to squeeze more money out of their customers. If you ask me they're already charging too much service fee for each tire. They charge $20 labor fee for each tire they move. Somebody needs to call the Better Business Bureau on these people but I don't have time.

I had just taken the car to the dealer for service one week prior to rotate the tires. Nothing was mentioned about needing new tires. Discount Tire said I needed ALL tires replaced. I asked to have the tire with the screw repaired and after 2 hours was told I needed a new tire. They then proceeded to tell me that replacing one would cause performance issues and be dangerous. I was subjected to a long sales pitch for replacing all of my tires. I had them put the spare on, full size, paid, and left. The service was horrible. (I'll finish this disappointment later.) 2) After we looked at my tires the salesman tried numerous times to sell me an additional tire to the point of my exhaustion.
3) We headed back in and another associate assisted me for pricing. I was NOW quoted $498. We went around for a bit and he finally stated, "Ohhhh the previous quote was probably given without the additional warranties. Lol." 4) I traveled 30 minutes to get there so I continued the process and paid for the tires and service. Once he collected my money, he stated, "Ok ma'am we'll have you done in about 2 1/2 hours." Of course I asked for a refund because I specifically stated I had a following engagement. Here's the catcher... While refunding my money he says, "Could you come back after your other appointment". After the salesperson, and I went out to access the damage to the tire, we could clearly see the nail in the tread, and the salesperson stated "It should be a simple repair, unless we find something else wrong", which raised a "red flag" in my thinking. He then checked the condition and tread depth of all the tires and wheels, which were all good. He told me there were 10 vehicles ahead of me, and the told me that the wait would be about 90 minutes.
After signing authorization for the repair, and reading for a while, a technician came to me and told me that the tire needed to be replaced, and showed me a vertical gash near completely through the outside sidewall of the tire that the counter person, and I looked at when all of the tires were inspected. I typically never write reviews, but this company deserved one. Easy website to use allowed me to see what the tires/wheels would look like on my specific color and year/make/model of car which is more than I can do at my local store. Prices were over 300$ cheaper than the most affordable equivalent in town and I live in an affordable cost-of-living state. Once I pulled the trigger on buying, they Mounted/balanced/packaged/shipped my order in less than 24 hrs, sent it FEDEX (for free shipping) with tracking and tires arrived ready to bolt on and looked great!
For some reason their online system left off the lug-nuts I added to the order (I didn't get charged for them - just wasn't on the order somehow), so I wrote their customer service department, who responded again within less than 24 hrs and put together a special cart order for me that had the right lug nuts at a 33% discount for my trouble, with free shipping - again. I own a manufacturing company and so I know how sometimes database things go haywire, which is totally understandable, but what matters is how you deal with it and they were awesome. It will be very hard for me to justify ever buying tires or rims from anyone else again. I wish my own company was this good. -Ryan

I explain that would be 4 more years. So what happens is when you go and get your tires rotated they tell you how much the thread is left in the car, and guess what? It is time to buy new tires. You know what, since they sold me these tires and they did not even make the 60,000 warranty, they should be replacing all of my tires! The estimate was $292.00 to purchase new tires. This is what sent me over the edge, they wouldn't even rotate my tires because I refused to purchase new ones. They just checked the pressure and sent me on my merry way! Just be prepared. This time when I went in I asked Billy the customer service rep to check the rim going in to show him there was no damage to the rim. I was with him along with my wife. He noted that there wasn't any damage and that he would place his best tech so this wouldn't happen. When the car was finished I inspected the rim and found damage and at that time I brought the manager out (Jayme) and he noticed the damaged rim. He said to bring it back in and he would fix the damage. I brought it in Monday and got a call that it was done. I went to pick it up at 5:30 and got the keys and went out to get in my vehicle.

After buying 4 new tires from Discount Tire (nearly 700 dollars), the day after tire installation at Discount Tire, I notice my tire pressure light is on. Please note, the tire pressure light was not on when I brought my vehicle there to get the tires installed. So I figure, no problem, I'll bring it back and they will fix what they messed up at no cost right? Wrong, they check my tires, and ironically enough, they inform me that somehow my tire pressure light has magically come on between my vehicle arriving to get new tires, with no light on, and leaving from Discount Tire after my new tires are installed. So, to fix the problem I now have to spend 60 per tire to fix sensors, sensors that worked before I came to Discount Tire.
I elect to replace 1. The one that I was told was causing the tire pressure light to come on. Manager replaced two sensors for 60 dollars. Great, you saved me 60 dollars for something you screwed up. So now the problem is fixed. Not, the light is off when I leave the store, okay, I get home and turn the vehicle off, when I get back in the car an hour later and drive down the street guess what happens, you got it, tire pressure light comes back on.
At this point I'm done. I chalk up the 60 dollars as a loss and the tire pressure light will just remain on rather than going back to Discount Tire and having more money stolen from me for bad work. Well my problems with Discount Tire's work were not done yet, I wake up the morning after getting my new tire sensors "fixed" and the tire they installed the sensor on is flat. Had an appointment at Discount Tire in Eastgate Dr, Garland for a flat repair. Went in early because we need to be somewhere else in a certain time. I have been having the tire issue for months or at least a month and thought it’s just the weather. I usually keep that tire in 36 psi and when I dropped it off it’s probably at about 29 psi or more. So they did their usual tire inspection and was told all 3 was at 4/32 while the one I want to be repaired is at 3. Before I set my appointment I actually looked at tires already because I know at some point I will have to buy new set soon so I know they don’t have the tires in stock but special order. Going back, so he was pitching me for tires already but I told him I know they don’t have it in stock and still asked me to go over to the counter to look. But I just had to tell him that we need to be somewhere else and I can look later.
I asked if we can still have the tire be repaired and he said yes and usually it’s when the tire is down to 2/32 then they don’t repair it anymore. That went fine until after about 30 minutes they called and told me it’s “irreparable” and they don’t have a stock right now so I asked to just put the original tire back but they refused to. So we agreed to just put the spare tire. Had to call them right away and spoke to Edwin because I realized it wasn’t the right spare tire. He told me they see if they have a used tire and will have to call me back because he’s with a customer. I never received a callback.
As we were pulling at the parking lot, saw the SUV with a completely flat tire. Went inside to grab the keys and asked if they can at least put some air back into it and told them it wasn’t like that when I dropped it off. They refused to put air and keeps saying it will keep losing air. I told him I have been driving it for months like that and it’s holding air until when I dropped it off. So I asked again to at least put some air back and again was refused to and recommended to not drive it or get a tow truck. Which in fact, they drove it out of the service bay to the parking lot with zero psi tire. So I went out to check the tire finding out they didn’t even bother to put the stem valve cap on, put a tear at the sidewall of the tire, and left the valve core pushed in making it blow air out and not hold any.
In this scenario, as if they really wanted me to order that tire which will be available the next day, leave the SUV parked at their lot since it’s completely flat and so they can make their sale of the day. With this tactic, I’m not falling for it. So I asked my husband to grab our portable inflator at the house, we put some air back into it having to really have that stem valve cap on because of what they did to the core blowing air out, and drove it back home. We brought the “irreparable”, "undrivable” tire to a different shop and guess what it was repaired and was told because it’s a run-flat kind of tire we can use it until at least we receive the special order set of tires. So be the judge! I will definitely not give my hard earned money to a company who only cares about their sales.

When they installed my new tires they cross threaded the front passenger wheel and said the wheel could not be installed and we would need to have the car towed. Upon putting the wheel on to pull the car out of their bay area they only put on 1 lug nut to secure the tire knowing that the tire would fall off. The tire fell off once it was towed due to inpropper installation and they refuse to take any responsibility.
This has been the worst experience I have ever had with Discount Tire especially because I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years. They truly do not care about their customers or their responsibility to customer care and safety. This is so disappointing about such a reputable business. I spoke to a regional office and not only are they rude but they refuse to take any responsibility. If they knew the wheel would fall off and needed to be towed you would think because of safety issue they would have put more than 1 lug nut on the wheel to transport safety... Incompetent and unprofessional without a doubt. On top of everything the manager at Discount Tire in Shawnee Kansas would not even speak to us on the phone and has done his best to ignore the issue. He should be fired!!!

I had a tire leak and took my car to Discount Tire where I had purchased the tires. The manager that helped me said that it was time to rotation and they would do that and repair the tire. I got a text that said my car was ready. I got back to the store and the SUV wasn't ready. They were trying to find the leak. The leak was too close to the edge of the tire and couldn't be repaired. Since my SUV is all wheel drive I had to replace 2 tires. I picked out some tires and they ordered them. I got a call that someone at Discount Tire and said that when I had my tires rotated that the stud must have been broken then.
Well Discount Tire had crossed threaded one of the lugs and the stud had broken while rotating the tires just 2 days earlier. I told the guy that they rotated the tires and he said they would take care of it. When I went to pick up my SUV a tire pressure sensor was bad so they replaced it. They gave me a voucher to have the stud replaced. The repair facility was a 45 minute drive from my house. Round trip 1-1/2 hours. I told the manager that I would rather do it myself to save from driving. The manager knocked off $35 off of the replacement of the sensor. As it turns out this is a 3 hours of labor required to replace the stud and shops charge between $137 and $169 to replace one stud. I guess Discount Tire doesn't value my future business. I have purchased over 12 sets of tires from them and won't buy any more.

Bought four 65,000 mile tires x 118 per tire, plus 86 for installation out the door. Front two tires made it to 10,000 miles in 10 months, i.e. about 1000 miles per month, before they had to be replaced. I did miss one rotation and of course they used that to lay this at my feet. I said yes but the literature online says they should be rotated at about 7500 miles but okay, that still should not result in on 16% of the recommended tire warranty.
Since I missed the rotation, they had me so I had to focus on getting as much as I could for replacement value. They said the tire had gone up in price so any negotiation would start from that number, not what I paid. They worked the numbers hard, clickety-clack, clickety-clack on the keyboard until they, beaming with a great anticipated customer satisfaction rating, said I could have two new tires for 117 each. I said, "But hey, that's only a dollar off what I originally paid!" I asked again if they understood that the tires only got 16% of the warranty number. Again, I missed that one rotation, so it was my fault. Got a manager, same thing, only with more arrogance that how could I possibly disagree with the "best they could do" since I missed that one rotation.
I worked on them for another 40 minutes and got them down another $9 per tire, with every dollar of reduction accompanied by a verification that I was most definitely the one to blame for missing that tire rotation. Two pieces of advice from this transaction: Don't miss the tire rotation and, don't go to Discount Tire. I will be following my own advice going forward.

I do not recommend Discount Tire to anyone, they have bad customer services and their Tech is too secretive. They broke one of my lug nut stud and didn't notify me about it. I got home and saw one of the lug nut was broken, I then took it back to them to fix it. Instead of sending me to the manufacture to get it fix, they refer me to this stupid shop called, "SPARK". SPARK then fix my lug nut stud, instead of taking out the hub assembly they hammered the old broken stud out and hammered back in a new stud. My bearing from the hub keeps making noise when I release the gas paddle. I took it back to SPARK and they accuse that it was the ice that keeps making the noise. Come on dude I drive in the winter for more than 10 years. I know how ice is. Bad excuse and lame explanation. I do not recommend SPARK and DISCOUNT TIRE at all. They break your lug nut stud and hoping you do not notice it.

I called them from TN on the 23rd to order two Michelin Pilots to be put on the front, on the 26th. They told me “we have those!” I said, “I didn’t tell which Michelin tire I need yet.” Once I told them they told me they did NOT have the Pilots. I fell back to the Bridgestone Potenzas, they couldn’t get those by the 26th either. My third choice, the Continental ExtremeContact. They could have in by noon the 26th. Arrangements were made, money was exchanged. We brought the vehicle in on time and came back to pick it up only to discover they installed Continental ProContact, NOT the ExtremeContact I paid them for. The ProContact is $40/tire cheaper tire than the ExtremeContact. Had I not checked I would have been screwed out of $80 worth of tire, and got crappier tires.
We went to have lunch while they fixed it. When we got back the guy we were dealing with was gone. The new guy knew nothing about the situation. Finally got the car back with the right tires this time. On the way home the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) light came on. I checked both tires and they set pressure on both on both to 40psi. The correct pressure per the placard in the door jamb is 35psi, which is why the TPMS light came on. I had to adjust pressure to the correct 35psi and reset my TPMS light. I want ask them if they use a torque wrench on the lug nuts and what torque they set them at, but I’m afraid of the answer. The facts speak for themselves.

I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years but I will say in the last couple years they have lost touch with their customer service quality. I had a flat tire and was driving on my spare which was not safe. They had a couple tires in stock that were low grade quality so I had them order 4 Yokohama tires but were told it would take 3 to 4 days to get them in stock. I had a perfectly fine used tire in my trunk from a few years back when I got new tires (kept it for this reason). They would not put the tire on the rim for me just because it was 10 years old and wanted me to spend more money on a new tire when I had 4 ordered and waiting for them.
This is absurd and ridiculous and to top it off when I asked the employee named Alex where could I go to get this tire on the rim for me he replied back and said to try a Mexican tire shop. I took my keys. Went down the street to F and F Tire. The owner was happy to help me and put my used tire on my car and ordered my tires which came in that same day. Discount Tire is in it for the money now. Their compassion towards people in different financial situations has gone downhill as well as their overall customer service. Today I went to Discount Tire in Boulder, Colorado to get a nail removed from my tire. Before I signed anything a store worker told me he would have the nail fixed in an 1 hour and 1/2. The same associate later came back - stated that after they removed the nail they noticed that the tire had a plug in it and they could not repair the tire. He also stated that they could not put the tire back on because of it. He also told me that my spare tire was too old for them to put that on my vehicle as well. So my choices were buy a new tire (of course) or tow my vehicle to Denver. I didn’t have the money to pay for a tow or the tire but I had to change the tire because the sales associate forced me into it.
I felt cheated and pressured into buying a tire when it was not needed. This type of service would never happen at Big O Tires!! I since I did not sign anything that stated there was a chance if the tire was removed I may have to purchase another tire it would have been nice if the associate would have gave me a “discount” because of the situation they put me in.

But the thing that got me was each time the so called assistant manager had a customer he walked each and every one out to their car. But for us, mind you we were the last 3 in the building and after hours and it was pitch dark outside this assistant manager just pointed outside and said, "Your car is ready." Really. When we went outside we had to look for our car because the person that parked it had parked it so far from the building. Come on. They seem to work well together as a team. Management always jump in and help also. I like that. With any business you will have a problem sooner or later because mistakes will be made. So why such a high review? The professional way they corrected the problem, followed up,and let me know how they valued my business. I have had many bad experiences with Discount Tire. From employees being just plain rude, having family members who worked for the company itself being treated terribly, and always having a long estimated wait time that ended up being much longer than first stated. I decided to give them one more chance and went to a Discount Tire for all brand new tires. When I first dropped my car off I was quoted an estimated wait time of about 2 hours. So naturally I waited for 2 and a half hours to go back up to the store. When I had arrived one of the front employees told me that they had a couple issues that backed them up, but that my car was going to be the next one in.
He stated that the wait should only be about 30 more minutes. 3 hours later I walked up to the front again to ask what the deal was, and the employee this time just looked at me and asked if I had been waiting there the entire time because my car had been ready for over 2 hours. I would had hoped that after choosing to pay $1000 to this company I would have received better service than this. Not be told it will be around 2 hours, and 5 hours later I'm being told my car has been ready while I've been sitting IN STORE for 3 hours with my phone in hand and received no phone calls. I would like to preface this email by saying that I have purchased approximately 10 sets of tires from this particular store over the years however over the past couple of years have become very dissatisfied with the service I have received. I am very pleased with the selection that Discount Tire provides and have always found exactly what I am looking for. It appears to me that the problems that I have encountered have been with the staff including the store manager. About a year and a half ago I called and spoke with the store manager, Mark, and inquired about purchasing 2 trailer tires for a boat trailer. He informed me that he would order them and that it would take 3-5 business days for them to arrive but that he would call me when they had arrived.
Seven business days later I called the store to inquire about the tires as I had not heard from the store. I was greeted by Mark on the phone who advised that the tires were showing as arrived on the computer. He told me that he would walk to the back and put his hands on them and then call me back in 15 minutes. Mark never called back so I decided to order my tires from Discounttiredirect.com and have them shipped to my residence. I did so and they arrived 4-5 days later and I took them up to the Discount Tire store to have them installed on the trailer rims. Mark was not there when I dropped them off however did assist me when I picked them up. He checked me out and then ask why I didn’t purchase the tires from his store. I told him the story and he did apologize but ask me to give them another shot.
In November of last year I purchased a set of tires for a new car once again using Discounttiredirect.com and had them installed once again at the Mooresville location. Mark recognized me and once again ask me to reconsider purchasing tires from his location and keeping the money within the community. I assured him that on my next purchase I would go through his store and give them another shot. On 09/28/2018 I had set an appointment for tire installation after I did indeed purchase tires from the Mooresville store. My father took my car in to have the tires installed as I was involved with a family medical emergency. My only instructions to my father were not to purchase the tire certificates. Tires were installed and my father called me on his way home advising that everything had been taken care of.
I asked him specifically about the certificates to which replied that no one had even mentioned them to him. I returned home from the hospital on 09/29/2018 and looked over the receipt that evening only to find that I had been charged for 4 tire certificates. At this point I was very agitated with Discount Tire however did have a day to calm down as they were closed on Sunday. I returned to the store on Monday, Oct 1rst and spoke with Mark once again. I advised him that the tire certificates were never mentioned, just added to my sale. He advised that it was clearly an oversight because there were three people assisting my father in the installation and it was just an error on their part.
I could understand it being a simple error if this particular store had not done this to me in the past. On that occasion I did catch it before I left the store and had it removed immediately. Very shady used car salesman tactics used with these certificates which lead me to believe that there must be some type of incentive given to the salesperson who sells the most certificates.
I do not intend to purchase any tires from this particular store in the future as I am beginning to question their integrity. I do believe in the Discount Tire chain and will probably continue my purchases thru the Discounttiredirect.com website. I would hope that this email would initiate some concerns from your company and even some policy changes, especially when dealing with the tire certificates. Thank you.

Issue: My back rear rims were ruined by Discount Tire. Background and story: We have been a customer for many years. We have purchased tires in the past for a total of 4 vehicles, including 2 sets of high dollar rims within the past 12 years. We have spent thousands of dollars if you add up the total costs. We were loyal customers to Discount Tire due to their excellent service and competitive pricing. Our local store in Alcoa, TN is all we use and always urge friends and family to use them.
I sent my car into Discount Tire on a Saturday to repair nails in both left and right rear of my tires. We arrived at 4:30pm to get them repaired (unfortunately with my work schedule, this is the only time and day available for me and have been accommodated with this schedule in the past). Knowing the store closed in 30 minutes, I was reassured they would have it done before they left for the day. I decided to walk across the street to have dinner and advised the associate there was no rush and he could leave the spare key in the car and would pick my car up when my dinner was over. When I picked up my car at approximately 6pm, we noticed several dents, scratches and black chipping all around both rims on both the back tires that were repaired. Since they were already closed and also closed on Sunday, we couldn't address the issue until Monday morning.
My husband brought the vehicle back for the associate to look at before going to work on Monday. The associate kept suggesting that the wheels had been curbed. Despite the fact my husband has been a ASE certified mechanic for almost 20 years, including a mechanic for the US Army, he knows what it looks like when a rim or rims has hit a curb. The tires would show damage as well if this was the case. Also, even if I did hit a curb on both sides of the tires, the tires protrude out too far to touch the rim. Both wheels have identical damage and scoring which would be impossible to do at all, let alone in a day. And there is no damage to the tires.
We asked the associate to replace the rims since they are now damaged and dented and he insisted us against filing a claim and offered us to have it buffed and repainted instead. When we refused and insisted on replacing the rims of the same type, he warned us that the claims department liked to get attorneys involved. He also told me this could take several weeks to settle.
Fact: I have rounded edged rims and it is obvious that when the technician removed the tire from the rim, he did not use the proper equipment for a rounded edge rim. This resulted in damage to my two back rims. We have taken pictures of the damaged rims when we got home on Saturday as well as pictures of the undamaged and unmarked tires. I contacted the corporate office in Arizona to get quicker response and they told us to email them a quote for two replacement rims. We didn't hear a word for 3 weeks and every time we tried to call or email, the claims person was out or unavailable.
Finally, today after numerous calls and emails, we got a response and they claim they will only reimburse us for one rim and claim it was because it was our fault that we curbed them. What my theory is or just one theory, they didn't realize the cost to replace the rims and blame me for it. What I don't understand is, if they are going to blame me for the damage, why offer to pay for only one rim.
Well once again, here's my theory: Like I stated earlier, they didn't realize the cost of stock rims on a 12 year old BMW. Now, we got to figure out how to come up with the other $397.00 for the other rim. I am not looking for any type of extra monetary amounts. I just want Discount Tire to admit and replace the two rims they damaged. I take pride in all I have and to some it may seem meniscal but, I do not have very many nice things in my life but what I do have, I take pride in and take care of. I will never use Discount Tire again nor will I recommend it to anyone else.

They finally get the second order but they're not the right ones, and again, no one called. I had to keep calling and sitting on hold for extensive periods of time. We, finally got our rims, after a month of this bs and we are supposed to be getting a rebate. Of course, that hasn't come either, though their page shows it was mailed out on 6-30, today is 7-10. The guy said, "I cannot put the same tire back on." I said, "Why not?" He said, "Because I just can’t. The tire is peeling and eaten up." I said, "Ok. I will get it fixed but not today."
He insisted he couldn’t put it back on, he then said it was unsafe and wouldn’t put it back on. I said, "What am supposed to do? I don’t have the money for a tire and it’s my ex husband. You didn’t tell me if you couldn’t fix it you wouldn’t put it back." I said, "Well I don’t have the money and I had a tire before I came." He then put a used tires on my car that was a different size and said that all he had. They lure you in with offering to fix your tire for free, then tell you they can’t put your tire back on which forces you to purchase a new tire... This is a scam! I conversed with this guy for 19 mins before he put the small tire on with the rationale of a spare would be smaller as well. This is sad. I will never patronize Discount Tire again.

Went in to get a set of new tires. When they were taking my tires off they bent one off the rims. They made me aware of the bent rim but would do nothing about it, or in the corporate world just dance around and say I hit a hole and they didn’t do it so it would hurt their bottom line. Now I’m out the money for the rim. If anyone wants to start a class action lawsuit on them, I still got the rim and pictures of the rim and machine they did it on. So if they bent your rim or rims maybe we can get them to pay for the damages.

Not only did they sell me cheap tires and charged original price, they also stated I had to pay two separate prices because I bought tires at two different times. The man who waited on me told me not to pay until the other tires come in. Really! Wow, know how to sock it to a customer. I see be conveniently does not work there anymore. Wonder why? I have used DT for approx. 25 years because of the warranty and have replaced all of my tires on the 7 trucks that I have owned.
We recently moved to the Show Low area in October and had a flat tire which we took to the DT in Show Low. My wife picked it up and I saw that there was a plug. Now I'm stuck with a fairly new tire with a plug. Originally I went to DT because of how they repaired the tires. This tire is under warranty and should have been replaced not plugged, which I consider very dangerous. I will sever my ties with DT and purchase new tires from BIG O. After driving back home to Alamosa, CO I noticed my mileage went from almost 17 mpg to 12 mpg, which I wrote off to high winds. When the mileage problem persisted, I went to my mechanic who noticed I had new tires that were the wrong size for my truck.
I contacted the Colorado/Wyoming regional office and expressed my dissatisfaction and was contacted shortly after by my salesman Robert from the Fort Collins store. Robert (**) helped me to find a store near Alamosa and to get the correct sized tires sent to the Pueblo, CO store. No hemming and hawing about why I wanted to change, even after I explained I had put 1,850 miles on that set of tires. Just, “Let’s get this fixed and you happy.” Christopher (**) at the Pueblo store was very helpful in making an appointment for me, made sure that I was serviced on time (since I drove 125 miles to get there) and had me out heading home within an hour.
I got 12.5 mpg on the way to get my tires changed and 16.3 mpg on the return trip. I want to thank all involved and your company for living up to their promise of: “If ever you’re not satisfied with one of our tires, please feel free to bring it back.” Your company and employees have certainly made that true and I will be back after telling my family and friends where to buy tires. I work on cars and always send my friends when they ask me where to replace their tires to Discount tires. Lately, I’ve been very disappointed. I haven’t received the warranty as promised, and my friends that had service with them have been screwed up. After a 4 tire replacement, it’s stated that 45k is the warranty of the tires. I have been given a coupon From Discount Tires for alignment, and alignment has been done right after installing the new tires. Now after less than 3k, the front tires are worn out. Of course the representative at the shop did not approve the warranty stating that is a alignment issue (even though alignment was done from the advice from D.T. shop and coupon was given since all 4 tires were replaced.). Tires are worn from in and out almost equally. Now instead a warranty, I’ve been offered an expensive deal.
Another story: I’ve sent a friend to DT to have her tire plugged from a tiny nail, Because D.T. advertise free plug on a nail hole. (Be aware) Her tires were like new Michelin, D.T. ended up charging her and replacing 4 new tires, stating that the hole was too big. (Even though it did hold enough air while driven to the shop). Even worst, All 4 tires had to be replaced because of the 4 wheel drive. In 4 wheel drive, all the tires have to be equally worn otherwise the transmission would be damaged.
2 years later, one of the 4 tires blow out on the freeway. Luckily my friend survived and went to the shop. Of course Discount Tires replaced ONE tire, not all 4 as they’ve stated it will ruin the transmission on a 4 wheel drive vehicle if not equal. Now one tire does not match the other 3. Not even a word about 4 wheel drive that can be damaged if one of the tire is not matching the others. Discount tire simply has their Discount name but is a cheap company screwing up people and trying to get away the cheapest they can by selling their bad unsafe products. I would never recommend them again.

I bought set of four - 50k new tires because Discount Tire store manager said while his tires are TWICE as expensive as my current set - that got me only 20k miles - his 50k would get me twice or more mileage. Well, I went in yesterday for warranty as my dealership said the tires were worn-out and would not pass inspection. The DT manager said he would not warrant due to us not bringing the car in for rotation. I said BS and that I had the receipts where my dealership rotated tires at my "prepaid annual maintenance" and I would get those or he could simply put the vehicle on the rack and observe for himself even wear on all tires and that they had been rotated regularly as well as initial alignment of all four wheels as required by DT!
He agreed with the rotation and called the place where I had the initial 4-wheel alignment. BUT said that he would warrant the tires EXCEPT he only warranted such that I had to pay 75% of the new tires price when I only received 20% (10k miles) of the 50k Warranty! PURE FRAUD & I am seeking others to file Class Action Suit against DT. I paid TWICE THE COST for tires that got HALF the mileage and then was cheated on the warranty!
Anyone else similarly situated please reply to ** and we will sue their ** on a class action filing!!! Also, they intentionally I believe refuse to place the actual vehicle miles on odometer at time of purchase knowing most consumers will lack the required proof at time of collection of warranty. I asked about no mileage notation on my original receipt for these tires and the clerk said DT tracks that internally. Well, yes they do and it is a FRAUDULENTLY entered mileage in my case and I bet others. I would love to speak with a former employee of Discount Tire as I suspect the most important issue for Warranty Claims, i.e., the actual mileage at time of install, is intentionally left off of receipts for purchase of said tires! This is NOT an accident!

It does not matter if you need a new set of tires, a tire rotation or a flat repair... It does not matter to which Discount Tire location you go, it always seems to be "You will have to wait between 1.5 hours and 1 hour 45 minutes". I assume that their employees are advised to give this information in order not to say "It might take 2 hours". Actually, this has always been my experience: Usually they start to work on my car after 1 hour and 40 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes. At the end I lose about 2 - 2.5 hours of my day. For someone who makes $30,- an hour it adds about $60,- to the tire bill. If your time is valuable, go somewhere else and do something more useful rather than sitting in a waiting area without wifi.

The rep there told me they are almost 6 years old and needed replacing. He pointed out that the tires were dated 2012, I showed him that I purchased them in 2014 so I lost 2 years because of that, he offered to discount the new set.
I refused since to me they are 3 1/2 years old with only 10,000 miles and they look fine. I have been a customer of Discount Tire for over 5 years now and purchased my new set of tires from them with tire rotations included in the price. When I went to complete my rotation the following situation occurred (see my Discount Tire customer complaint below). After I sent this message to the companies customer service department I never got a response. I will now buy my tires from another company.
"I wanted to pass along a story that took place last month before my holiday travels. I have been a Discount Tire customer for sometime now and have purchased the tires currently on my Honda 2008 Element. As part of my purchase agreement your company allows for free tire rotations, balances, and checks. After over a year since I purchased my tires I stopped by the Discount store in Bellevue Washington as asked to rotate my tires. I was told to make an appointment for better/quicker service. I then called the next day and the representative scheduled me for a 2 PM on Thursday 12/21/2017. On that day I brought my car in and checked in with the counter agent. I waited about an hour and watched as the work was completed on a nearby service bay.
Upon completion of the work the service agent gave me the keys to my car and I left for another appointment. Later that evening after dinner I came out to the car and its front left tire was flat. It was dark and I had to move the car about 20 yards to a place to change the tire. I put on the spare and waited until the next day to discuss the situation with your shop. Take note that I have had these tires for over two years with very light driving and I never got a flat tire. Further, I was not near a construction site and only drove on the area roads for just a few miles to my next stop so it's highly unlikely that I damaged the tire in such a short time.
So the next day I called the shop and they said to bring the car in for inspection. I did and upon talking to the service agent was told that no record of my appointment was available. Further, there was no record of the work completed on my car the day before. This was alarming to me since ALL work should be recorded. After some time discussing the issue with the service agent they brought the car into a service bay and fixed the flat then drove the car to the back of the shop. I waited a while then inquired about the status of the fix. The manager took me to the back lot and gave me the keys and a receipt for the work and said it was ok now. I asked what the problem was and he said a nail or screw punctured the tire. I asked to see this and was told that there was not enough time.
This behavior seems very suspicious to me and I wonder if a tire valve was broken or damaged and the tire slowly went flat after I left the shop on Thursday. Further, having no record of my appointment or the work completed is not acceptable as well as the lack of professionalism of your staff. If you want more details such as my purchase and agreement, my car data, and records of my mobile phone calls to your shop detailing these event I can provide them. I must admit I was rather upset about this situation and it only added to my stress as I was trying to get tasks completed before I left for the holidays. I would appreciate a discussion with someone from your organization about this event to try to improve your business. As for me I will not buy any of my tires from your company and will pass news of this service to my personal network. This is bad business!!"

Not buying tires from them ever again. I never had this problem with other places. I just went there for convenience.

Today was our first time going to Discount Tire, we have always used a local tire place and have continually been disappointed with the customer service. Discount Tire was recommended by a co-worker and we were NOT disappointed! They have excellent customer service! We got both all new wheels and tires and we were in and out in just over an hour. They have an excellent warranty on both the wheels and the tires along with free balancing and rotations for the life of the tires. I would highly recommend this location for the customer service alone!!

On 10/07/2017 I went to Discount Tires. I checked in at 8:27 am to get my tires rotated & rebalanced. They called my name at 9:55 am then they drove my vehicle to the back and 10 minutes later at 10:05 my vehicle was ready to go. I got in my car and checked my tire pressure gauge on the front drivers side showed 28 PSI. Just like it was before I got to discount tires. I drove 15 miles and it never changed. So I was there for 1hr and half for what a wasted morning. And then I called discount tires and told them what had happened. They told me to bring it back to them and I said I was there 1hr and half already and I said I don't think so. I have no respect for these bums they placed at this location. The people they had before was the best, very KNOWLEDGEABLE and PROFESSIONAL. They cared about their customers and they gave EXCELLENT customer service.

I have been going to Discount Tire for more than 30 years and I have more than ten sets of tires no rims, and would never buy the rims they sell. They are just junk. I usually try to buy tires on sale and buy the best mileage I can get. I always pull the vehicle into the bay myself and I stay with the vehicle until they give it back to me. I have caught employees failing to balance, rebalance or even rotating tires.
I bought a set of tires in downtown Pasadena Texas and while they were mounting and balancing the tires I had to take a phone call. When I got off the phone they told me they were through and so I left and when I got home I happened to take a second look at the tires and noticed two wheels did not have weights, and I called the store and an employee told me that they were perfect and did not need weights. I said I have balanced a few tires in my life and never seen a tire that did not need weight, and I was bringing them back to get them balanced. Sure enough they both needed 3 or more ounces of weight. I wasted 2 or 3 hours of my time plus driving about 40 miles. I did not go back to that store again.
I went to another Discount Tire on Shaver street in Pasadena Texas for a balance and rotation and after watching the guy a few minutes I noticed he was just rotating from the front to the back. I confronted him about it and he said there was no need to rebalance at each rotation. I said I paid for having my tires balanced and whenever they were to be rotated I wanted them rebalanced. I threatened him with calling the regional manager and he finally agreed to balance them and then I noticed that he was not removing the old weights and just adding weights. I jumped him about this and he got a little ugly but he finally took off the old weights and put on new weights where they were needed (if you do not remove the old weights you cannot get a true balance and can make the balance worse). I have not been back to that store either.
I point these incidents out to show everyone that Discount Tire only wants to sell tires. It is your problem to get them to do their job, they hire inexperienced and people that do want to do their job and the consumer suffers. The managers rush for volume and they encourage shortcuts. Recently October 02, 2017 I went to have the tires I purchased in 2016 at this store balanced and rotated, (10727 N Freeway Houston Texas) I spoke to ** and he did the typical tire look and said the left front was wearing bad and needed replacing. I told him I was aware of wear but I had a issue with the suspension and just wanted it balanced. I wanted the right side rotated but not the left side but I wanted all of them balanced. He never said anything about not balancing all four tires, I also told him that the right two tires were losing and needed patching. (If you do not tell them, they will not check for this. Again this your problem. They do not care.)
I drove the vehicle in when they were ready for me and when they started removing the lug nuts I saw an employee using a 16-ounce ball peen hammer to drive on the impact socket on my lug nuts and I told him those were not metric size lug nuts. They are standard (SAE) and he kept slugging away with the hammer (He was not tapping. He was hitting really hitting hard). And then he would use the impact and remove the lug nut and then he would have to use a punch to remove the lug nut from the socket and he did on two wheels (10 lug nuts) and I got my lug wrench out of my truck and showed him that a 3/4 inch lug wrench or socket would fit not a metric 19 mm socket and the way you are doing is messing up my chrome covered sockets. Then he tried to tell that my lugs were no good. They had burrs on them and I said there's nothing wrong the lugs.
When you put an impact socket on them halfway on (you should push the socket all the way on) you cause those so-called burrs, I asked if he had any other sockets and he said this was all they had. (I have had this truck in 4 or 5 times at this store and never had this issue before.) I told the employee to use my lug wrench and went to complain to ** and he also said this was all they had. And I said, "I guess if they gave you a stick and a rock to remove the wheels that would be what you used". Then he said, "That was right. If that was what they gave us that would be what we would use".
I then found that the left front tire would not be rebalanced and that he thought it was too far worn and wanted me to buy another tire. I then told him that I only use Discount Tire because of the warranty not the service and if your warranty is worthless and the service bad why go to Discount Tire. Also they donot check your air pressure unless you buttonhole. When I got home the two tires that were repaired had 35 pounds and the other 2 had 40 pounds. Again this is your problem. They do not care. They just sell tires not Service. If you bring your vehicle in you really need to stay and watch what they do and do not let them lie to you or intimidate. You have a right. Question what they do. It is your money, your car for slow leaks or punctures.

I am very upset with this store. My whole experience was awful. First they told me all wrong from the total to the parts. My time and energy spent and I am still waiting for the correct rims to arrive at their store and first told me a wrong total of course more they asked me to come in with car which is unsafe to drive. When I arrived they quoted they should have called me and to let me know parts were not there and I waited 1 and 1/2 hours again. Left one week later parts are in bill paid and of course the wrong product was delivered so another week goes by and still no rim again. Paid in full and the right passenger wheel is rubbing so bad I don't know what else to do. As I wait and do not feel safe in my car. Hopefully there is something you could do. This have put my life on hold and I am currently catching and paying someone to and from work.

Bought several sets of tires from Discount Tire, tried to get a balance and rotation, said the fronts were cupping, rears not bad, They did not want to rotate. Of course I didnt want to buy right then, hence the recommendation of no rotation. After finally convincing them to proceed with promised service, I'm convinced I was put on a back burner of all back burners, to get my tires rotated. How long you wait is directly proportional to how bad THEY, say you need tires, and you saying you'll wait.
I will avoid them in the future, wait time is punitive in nature as your tread life wears, They acknowledged the fronts were cupping, and the rears were better, So get the fronts on the rear right? No, the recommendation was to leave them in place till what? BLOWOUT? I was entitled to a balance and rotation every 10k miles, got hassled to refusal on my service request, Then my keys got put in the "problem" slot, cant prove it but know it happened. Hey, new jingle for Discount Tire, "whatever we're selling, you better be buying".

The service was great, however NOT RECOMMENDED TO A FRIEND UNLESS WARNED: To get that highly sought after service there are two barriers to overcome that I would warn people about before they arrive. This DISCOUNT TIRE Pueblo, Colorado location has no clear way to arrive to the point of service. It is uncertain if a customer parks the car in any one location. Second, when a customer walks into the lobby the customer must jockey for position to get the attention of a representative. Although we received rapid and thorough service there is no way to recognize the order in which people will be served. The staff did a fantastic job in recognizing who needed help and got them engaged fairly well, but I can see potential problems here and is the only reason I would not recommend Discount Tire to a friend or family member without warning them first.

The only not reasonable part of the visit was afterwards when I went to work and about two hours later I come to my car to see that the tire in the back right was completely flat. I checked for punctures and I could not see any; the distance I drove was 15 miles on the interstate and I have done this plenty of times before with old tires and I have not had a problem. Unfortunately for me 7pm is after hours and so I cannot have it looked at till tomorrow. I hope something is done about this because if I had driven a longer distance the tire could have resulted in an accident.

On July 2016 I Purchased 4 new tires (70,000 mile). In November I took it in to get tire rotation and wheel alignment at that time which they mentioned that the alignment was bad. Came January I took it in because I would notice the alignment to be off, so I took it to Discount Tire to get it checked out. At that time they mentioned the alignment to be off again so he asked me if I had bumped the curve or hit a pot hole so I told him no, so they did the alignment again and I left. So just as I was getting home I started to notice the alignment issue came back again. It's like they left a screw loose that the alignment is fine at that time but once I drove it around the alignment moved again.
So here I go again to the Discount Tire the next day and asked for the alignment again. They was surprised as so was I. But something has to be wrong. Now after this visit alignment seemed fine again. Now on February 24 I took it to the dealer for oil change which at the time they measured the tread and it says that the front tire tread is 5/32nds and the rear tire tread is 9/32nds... That almost half more of the tire worn out.
So in April I noticed a squeak noise coming from the front of my pick up so I thought it was something wrong with the suspension. So I took it in to the mechanics shop and they found a loose screw and they showed me. So I took pictures to show Discount Tire because this screw is used to align the front tires. So the guy at the shop tightened the screw and the squeak noise was gone. So I took my truck to Discount Tire again due to bad alignment again and told them about the front 2 tires being all worn down. Only the outside half of the tire because the inside half of the tires was still good.
I requested to get a replacement for the 2 tires that was all worn down due to bad workmanship and bad alignment and they said NO that is not possible and that I would have to wait till the tires was all worn down til it's 2/32nds and at that time I could take it in and have to still pay pro-rate for the miles used... Now.. why do I have to pay if its Discount Tire fault that they could not do the alignment correctly and left screw loose.
I spoke to headquarters District manager and he gave me the same story and said that the tires did not get worn out because due to bad alignment. He was trying to tell me that it was normal wear. WHAT! That was my reaction when he said that comment. Now I am car savvy person and I know for a fact that what he was telling me was all lies so they wouldn't exchange me the 2 worn out tires.
I am very dissatisfied and feel ripped off, I mean these tires are not even a year old and only 17,000 miles on them. Why would I have to pay for this if it's the fault of Discount Tire. It's not even the tire manufacturer fault and all they kept telling me was about the tire manufacturer warranty... But again it's not the tires. It's the Discount Tire that didn't perform their job right. Need to get legal help now because this is not right.

Discount Tire had young individuals working on tire rotations and I think they have to hurry instead of focusing on quality of work they need to complete. Need to be more attentive to how things need to be done because they cross threaded the lug nut on the stud and I could not loosen or tighten the lug nut and they sent me Meineke Auto to have the stud and lug nut replaced and all because of a simple tire rotation and best part is Meineke tech said this happens OFTEN because Discount Tire had a form called "Broken Stud Repair Referral Form" that just had to be filled out and take to Meineke Auto to have problem corrected.
This was on my daughter's car because she did not have time to have her tires on her car taken care of. I could not recommend Discount Tire of Columbia Heights Minnesota to anyone because of the young and inexperienced tire techs. One needs to start the lug nuts manually to make sure they will go on as designed before they USE their air wrench to tighten the lug nuts. Reading other reviews about Discount Tire are not real great either. Not sure how many "minutes " of training they receive but I know it is not enough to be quality minded. Store # MNM11.

My real name is Darren **. I'm writing this review to tell the public that the only way to get Discount Tire to honor a claim is to put them on blast everywhere, which I intend on doing. But I actually like the guys at this place. They get 5 stars for customer service. Joel is a great manager, but he can only do what he is allowed to do when it comes to claims. Just like a woman by the name of Sapphire in the Discount corporate claims department. Now, she has a job to investigate, just like Joel. But she seemed more like a bodyguard for Discount Tire. she admitted to no wrongdoing by Discount Tire.
So, here's my true complaint. I first bought tires and rims from Discount Tire for my 2014 Silverado, the rims were scratched, and I got a really good deal on them. But, about a month later, I'm going down the road, and my driver back tire is wobbling and ready to come off. I just happen to be close the Discount Tire place, so I tried to get there, but the wheel was getting worse by the second. I just happen to come up on Tire Discounters, their competitor literally right down the street. I ask them if they would help me. They put my truck up on a jack and tightened the lugs back down. Not only did they do that, they checked all my lugs. So, this is the first problem I had with Discount tire. I actually let it go.
Then literally 3 days later, the new rims and tires I bought from them for my 2002 Honda Odyssey, the rear driver side tire lost its bead and blew off the rim causing me to lose control in a split second and hit a telephone pole. Literally, BOOM, then POLE!!! That fast. This could have killed me, my wife and child if we was going any faster. Thank the Lord that everyone was buckle up, and we was going around 15 mph.
Reason I was going slow, I was getting ready to turn. I get out of my vehicle, because I thought for sure I hit something in the road. But there was nothing. I look at my back tire, and its complete off the rim. I checked my wife and kid for injuries, and my wife has a messed up shoulder, and I had bang up ribs. My daughter was fine, thank the lord. I call 911, police and ambulance get there fast. the police check everyone, then ask for my Id and Insurance of course. Then they do a complete investigation, and found that the tire did come off. They didn't cite me with any tickets or give me a sobriety test, because was flat out obvious the tire came off the rim. So my van got towed, we got a ride home.
The next day I called Joel at DT, and he said he would put in a claim. I told him, "I don't want to lawyer up, I just want Discount Tire to pay for the van which was only worth 3k, and the tow, and possible med bills, because me and my wife was hurting bad the next day." I was basically giving this greedy company a way out and they simple won't take responsibility. They are currently blaming it on Cooper Tire. Which if Cooper comes back and says "Yeah!!! It's a bad tire, then discount is off the hook."
But we all know, these companies are going to point fingers and nobody will take the blame. Just like Sapphire told me today 3/30/2017 at 5.01pm. She stated that Discount tire is in no way responsible, She stating this even before the results are coming back from Cooper Tire. Is she a mechanic? NO!!! did she physically inspect the tire herself? Hell no!!!
At this point, I decided to just sue Discount tire because I have two different incidents on record from this location. Someone screwed up, I truly believe it was a faulty tire, it was a mechanic error both times. So what could have been a super cheap way out for this company and nothing in the public eye to tarnish the reputation, is now going to be a full out lawsuit. Hey Discount Tire, when you send dumb-dumbs to try and scapegoat other companies for your mistakes, this is what will happen. Someone is going to pay dearly now because of SAPPHIRE!!! I truly believe it's DISCOUNT TIRE'S FAULT!!! I will be calling Cooper Tire and letting them know you're blaming them. Next is the Attorney General and the BBB. Then a YouTube video for everyone to see!!! FB, Twitter, etc.

Wife went to get a flat fixed on one of your tires and came back with 3 new tires at full price. Discount totally refused to honor any warranty adjustment on the warranties that were purchased on the tires. First they falsely claimed tires were past warranty mileage and then when that was clearly false, they then said warranties were voided because she had not brought car into store for rotation after buying tires but that too was false since when she got the last tire 10,000 miles later they rotated the tires. They said the flat tire she went in for had a bubble in the sidewall which they said was an impact break that could have been caused by a normal road hazard and was not covered by the warranty. Your warranty clearly says otherwise. I am an attorney with 50 years experience and can read a warranty and I have been buying all my tires from your company for 35 years but never treated like this.
