I dropped off 4 brand new wheels, in boxes at 10AM. Was told it would take 1-1.5 hours. Waited 2, went back to work... Called a while later, got the manager by chance, dude chews me out for asking if they are done. My little journey tracker now says my arrival time is 230-3... Tires were done after I called and complained about that, one of the wheels got damaged... Grrrr why do I even go here, they SUCK. They need competition!

But I left at 11:15 and noticed my tires were in the SAME POSITION. I have them marked.. single mom and I get taken for granted a lot. I always purchase my tires from Discount. My two sons, my mom, my brother the same. We have choices out there. But everyone is so kind and I have never had a issue. So now do I take time off to return my 2020 kia? Or what do I do. I try to take it in every 3000 to 5000 miles. I took it in 3 months ago and I was told "Your tires look great, you do not need this done yet"???? I drove off like really ?? The gentleman did not even test my tires??? Just looked at them. I was frustrated. I do not like confrontation, so I left. Please help me. What should I do now>>??

I’ve been a loyal Discount Tire customer for close to six years. I consistently purchase all of my tires through this company because of the excellent customer service and the efficiency of scheduled appointments. I previously used the Ross Township location and always had a positive experience—appointments done quickly with dependable service, and I was consistently in and out on time.
I recently moved and now visit the West Mifflin, PA store for the first time. While the staff here have been just as friendly as the Ross Township team, it has become clear that appointments at this location do not seem to hold any weight. I arrived today for my 3:30 PM appointment and did not get out of the store till 7:20 PM.
Additionally, I am concerned about what I observed in the service bay. Multiple employees were literally running in the shop. This appears to be a safety hazard—for employees and for customers whose vehicles are being serviced under rushed conditions. There was also an extremely long wait just to reach the front desk; it took approximately 40 minutes. Despite the excessive wait times, the lobby remained full, with a long line of customers who continued to wait. The store was scheduled to close at 6 PM and even at 7:40 PM there are still 17 customers waiting.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I don’t feel confident returning to this location. I can’t reasonably drive an hour back to Ross Township, and even this store is a 35-minute drive from my new home. My time is too valuable to schedule an appointment and still end up waiting for four hours. Photos I uploaded show discrepancies of my appointment being missed and yet I was there, time of when they were working on my car and when they said they would finish and when they actually finished. Seems like they’re tampering with times to look good for their main headquarters for discount tires!

I have an appointment at 3:30 which was made three days ago, I arrived at 3:23pm. It is almost 4pm. They have not started on my car. This is ridiculous. If you can't honor your appointments, then don't make them. I guess these businesses are doing appointments to find out the daily service load not to make it easier for the customers. Never again. Guess what he just told me that there are two cars ahead of you still. What. Why did I make an appointment then????

I have had Discount Tire for years, they have done me great until now! Been working with Justin at Lewisville store, I told him what I wanted weeks ago. He was to check on tires and call me back and never did. Finally called and ordered the tire week later, go by to get tires, wrong tire and wrong size, I specifically told him type of tire everything from the beginning! And he has been pulling my chain since the beginning and today when I looked at tire and it said trail, not Pro! I was like ok I’m done, they lost a 3000.00 sale. So now starting all over with a store that surely knows what they are doing! Stay away from Lewisville store. Super bad experience and wasted lots of my time!

I take my car to the Bee Cave, TX location regularly for balance/rotate and to purchase new tires (many times). Today I arrived just after opening at 8am and dropped off my car for rotate/balance. The work was done very quickly while I left for another appointment. I returned around 9:30 for pick up and found my car parked on the street. I asked the desk why my car was parked there and he said there were no available spaces in the lot (lame excuse). I looked out to see at least 10, maybe 15 spaces. I realize that there may have been a busy period earlier where spaces were few, but parking a customer's vehicle on the street is unacceptable to me.
I have been using this location for many years and have NEVER seen the parking lot full. I usually drop off at opening time and wait. Staff can double park vehicles if necessary. They have the keys to all the waiting vehicles. If my Prius had been a $100K Corvette, would it have been parked on the street? I don't think so.

Sorry this has to be so long but it's worth it if you are thinking of going to this place. I ordered tires that were in stock, I set up an appointment for the next day. I received a text with an appointment confirmation. The next morning, I received a text with an appointment reminder. While driving to my appointment, 5 minutes before my appointment time I received a phone call that I didn't answer because I was on the highway.
When I arrived at Discount Tire I listened to the voice message. It was from this store's phone number, (from a man who gave a fake last name) I asked several people working there but no one knew who it was. The message said my tires had just arrived and I can call to set up an appointment. I went inside and spoke with Matthew, (His first name (Matthew) and his voice were the same as the voice message), I explained that I have an appointment. He took my key and went to my car, he came back and tried to sell me some $30 windshield wipers to replace the new wipers that were installed 2 months earlier.
Then he said he was going to set me up with an appointment. (Already, well aware that I have one, I was on time and my time is passing). 2 hours after my appointment time, my car was ready. My appointment time was 11:45, it was 12:28 before they had my new appointment time set up and charged my credit card, my car was finished at 1:45. This store offers walk in service without an appointment, 5 to 7 of these were taken care of before my car was brought inside and started.
When I arrived home I checked the tire pressures. The manufacturer states Front 33psi mine were Left 26, right 30, the cap was missing from the valve stem on the right front. The manufacturer states Rear 30psi mine were Left 28, right 24. Pathetic! Later, I received a message asking how was my experience with Discount Tire, so I answered. Then, my statement was forwarded to the store.
I received a call from the store manager, Mark. All he had for me was some lies about a computer glitch and confusion over appointments. He said he was going to send me a $100 check for my trouble if that would be ok with me. I said that would be fine with me. That was the last lie Mark had for me, that was just over 4 months ago, no check was sent. The next lie will be the Postal Service lost the check. (This is the one all companies like to use when they screw over their customers.)

We have been DT customers for 10 years. No issues until recent. Took my car in for a tire rotation. Tech at counter thought he was Rico Suave. Went outside to measure my tread depth, came in and told me they couldn't rotate them because the wear was below what was acceptable. I told him that both the dealership where I purchased my car from and my husband measured and said the treat was still good. But, Rico wanted to sell me new tires. I left, told my husband, who has been in the automotive industry for 40 years. He remeasured using the old fashioned way and said there is still plenty of tread left on my tires. So, we will be looking for another tire store when the time DOES come for new tires.

It cost me $110 to swap out 2 tires. The receipt said lifetime maintenance of tires included. I brought the car back for rebalancing few days later because steering wheel shakes, I was told it would cost me $20 to balance each tire. Found another local tire shop, much better pricing and much better services.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review — Discount Tire, Camp Bowie, Fort Worth, TX. I’ve been doing business with Discount Tire here in Fort Worth since the late 1980s, and no matter which store I’ve gone to, they’ve always gone above and beyond. The Camp Bowie location continues that same outstanding tradition of service, honesty, and professionalism that has made me a loyal customer for decades.
Their road hazard warranty is fantastic, their people are knowledgeable and friendly, and their commitment to customer satisfaction is unmatched. Today was a perfect example. I brought in a car I bought earlier this year — and the tires on it weren’t even purchased from Discount Tire. A while back I rubbed a fender and messed up the valve stem, so the tire wouldn’t take air. When I brought it in today, they discovered the air sensor inside the rim was also damaged. They took care of everything, didn’t charge me a dime, and sent me on my way safely.
That kind of honesty and service is rare these days. Most places would’ve tried to sell me something or tack on labor charges, but not these guys. They just did what was right. If you want fair, fast, and first-class service, the team at Discount Tire on Camp Bowie sets the gold standard. I won’t take my vehicles anywhere else. Thank you, Camp Bowie Discount Tire — you’ve earned my trust for life!

Salesperson was upselling from the start, and had several price changes, and did not listen well. They do not guarantee their work. Had four tires replaced, and directly afterwards the brake lines were leaking, and damaged. The arrogance of the salesperson was revealed, when he denied it was possible there had been a mistake, and passed the buck. He also tried to blame the customer. If he had been honest and professional, then he would have addressed the issue differently.

First let me say that overall Discount Tire stores are well ran and offer excellent customer service. Since we travel around the country, we have used stores all over the country, and always had good success until yesterday. We had a tire lose pressure, so we stopped into the store located in Pea Ridge, Florida. We had purchased the tires from Discount tire and bought the warranty, so we had used this service before at other locations. Usually in and out in under and hour. We waited almost 2 hours for them to check the tire, while observing others that came in after us, get service and leave. We received no updates on why it was taking so long. We finally gave up and left. This is without a doubt the worst ran and managed store that we have been to. Avoid this store location.

Bought tires from a location and had gotten a flat. I removed the tire and took it to the store first thing in the am. I was told it would be about an hour to and 1 1/2 hours, so I waited. After 2 hours I asked about the tire and the tech came out and informed me the cut in the tire was too large for a patch and I needed a new tire. Then looked me straight in the face and asked if a tire had been ordered. I informed him no because he just told me it couldn't be fixed. They had to order a tire from out of town, so I had to wait until the next day.
At noon on Saturday, I called to check the status of my tire, and I was informed it should be ready in an hour. I waited a couple of hours then went to the store. They had me walk into the back to point out the rim because they had no clue which rim was mine, and the tire had not been mounted at that point. After waiting they came back out and asked if the tire had a pressure sensor on it and I answered yes. They had taken my valve stem out and thrown my sensor away. They said they would replace it and when they reprogrammed the sensor to match my car the tech said that I had to drive the car around for it to learn the pressure (I call BS). After 2 days of it not learning the pressure, I went to the Lincoln dealership and they had to replace the new sensor. Discount Tire is clueless. The techs are very nice, but they really don't know what's going on. I blame that on corporate. Ty H.

Also, I recently noticed, when taking my one vehicle in for a simple tire rotation, they tried to tell me my tires were too worn on the inside on one tire for them to rotate all four. I did not replace them, but had my ASE Certified co-worker check the depth and they are all at 6/32 or 5/32, definitely didn't need to be replaced. I heard this same person tell another young woman the same thing. I'm not sure what her situation was, but I was very skeptical after that. I have never had an issue with this place before, but am reluctant to buy another set of tires from them in the future. The salesman could not find the information about my appointment, and he spent time exploring two brands of tires with me. After he persuaded me to buy the ones other than the ones I had requested when I made the appointment, he went to make sure they were in stock, which they were not. A total waste of time! So I agreed to purchase the tires I had originally requested. They took my car in for the new tires 40 minutes after the time of my appointment, which seems to belie the concept of "appointment," but they were amazingly fast after that. When I got home, I checked the tire pressure: It was 40 pounds, not the 30 pounds they recommended or the 32 pounds recommended by the car manufacturer. Overall, I found the service to be inconsistent, which is a big red flag to me!

Then when I got there I was told the tire was too old, they can't work on it. But I could buy a tire to replace it. This tire was seen two times before this and they didn't mention the age either time. The second time I had a low pressure light, I was told to bring it back the next day to get it repaired. Again I was told the second day that I needed an appointment, so another trip. Each time I was there they measured the tread on every tire.
When I went back for my appointment, I was told the tire tread was too worn, they couldn't work on it. If you have them check your tire pressure, they will want to put 38 or 40 pounds of pressure in your tires "because the weather is turning colder". Tell them no. Have them put the recommended pressure listed on your car. The higher pressure will wear out your tires faster.

I arrived at Discount Tires on 9/17/25 after lunch. I had what I thought was a nail in my rear driver's side tire. I was approached in the parking lot by a worker that I asked if he could come back to me in 10 minutes or so because I had unfortunately received an emergent call I could not ignore. He proceeded to scan my tires and I explained I realized they were getting to the point where they were needing replaced however, it would be about 2 weeks before I could come back and purchase 4 new tires. Understand, I have bought all of my tires from this location since 2012. I drive all over texas in my car for work and buy tires often. However, I explained to the man discreetly (I thought) that I had an unexpected health issue and would not be able to purchase the full set of new tires yet.
I stated, "I respectfully request you just check this tire and I would get back to them asap to proceed with new tires." He refused, insisting I buy all new tires now! I stated I could not and had stopped at another discount tires earlier in the day during which they checked my tire/air and agreed it would be ok to simply fix the tire and delay the new set for a couple weeks. I finished my call and he did not come back so I went inside.
Upon getting to the desk, he to tell me it was the company policy to only repair tires that were safe. I explained again, another location had already deemed my tire repairable. I was again told NO! He then walked away, now a manager comes in with my tire off of my car and he is attempting to tell me my tire was not repairable. I explained the other person told me it was. I then downloaded a diagram for was a tire repairable. Mine was (see pics). He laughed and said not if he says it is not, he pointed to a tread poster in the middle of the room.
I explained my tread was close, but was not yet at or below that range. I also explained my tire had not lost any air. He then started raising an argumentative tone in front of aprox 6 other customers. I explained the debate was irrelevant because I simply had a health issue and could not afford 4 new tires right now. I then asked him nicely to put my tire back onto my car. He said he couldn't do that. I then more sternly stated I didn't consent for him to take it off and he needed to put it back on so I could leave he again said no. I finally said loudly put the tire back on my car you have now lost a loyal customer. He then walked away.
After a few minutes another worker came to the door and asked for me, he apologized stating "he is not explaining it right, the issue isn't the nail it is a whole other thing". I left and went to Firestone, on the way there my brake pad light came on stating there was now an issue that did not exist prior to this encounter. I regularly get my car serviced at the dealership and there has not been any issues! Upon arrival to firestone....they graciously pointed out it in FACT WAS NOT A NAIL IN MY TIRE, THERE WAS NO PUNCTURE, IT WAS SIMPLY A BROKEN NAIL TOP THAT HAD WEDGED INTO THE TIRE TREAD (IN BETWEEN). He flicked it out laughing that if the discount tire guy had actually checked it there was no "safety" issue and I simply should have been reassured and sent on my way to return when I was ready to buy the tires!
Integrity Tires in Richmond was professional, compassionate, kind, and there was no charge for my tire check! I am now their forever client! Discount tires ...train your team better! Contact me. Every time I go to Discount Tires and Prescott Valley to have tires rotated and rebalanced, they always fill my tires at different amounts. I have a 2500 diesel and they'll put 28 to 33 lb of air in my tires. Even if I tell them to put them at 45 and 35 in the rear they don't listen, they just do what they feel like. As heavy as that diesel motor is the tires will wear out quickly because there's not enough air in the front tires for the weight of the motor the edges would wear out quick and then they probably would say it's alignment issue. I've always bought my tires from discount but my last set for another vehicle I own I purchase elsewhere. I would rather spend my money at a company that listens to what you would like or to make sure all tires are set to the proper inflation.

I have purchased tires from Discount Tire for all of my vehicles for over 20 years. Recently at the Longview, TX store my unfortunate experience will probably end my business with the company. I had purchased new tires that had about 3,000 miles on them when I realized they had installed on on a very damaged wheel. I knew when I had hit a very bad pothole the previous winter but did not know about the damaged wheel until a friend spotted it and this was after the new tires were installed on it.
The installing tech at the shop never mentioned it as it was holding air. When I became aware of it I went back to Discount tire to buy new wheels. When My tires were installed on the new wheels, the tech did not install one of the valves properly and I had a flat after leaving the store. I got enough air in it to return to the store and they had to replace the tire from damage caused by the flat.
As I was driving home the tires were not properly balanced and shook very badly. I was going on a trip the next day so had to pay to have them properly balanced by a tire shop in the town where I lived as driving back to Longview would have found the store closed. After my trip, I noticed that one of the tires had been installed on the wheel backwards. It was clearly marked on the tire. Bottom line is that the techs working out in the shop are not properly trained or are not properly supervised resulting in serious quality control issues. I also spent an unnecessary amount of wasted time for them to correct all of the issues. I am sorry to say that the quality of service that I had received for so many years is now gone and it is not worth the time and expense to do business with them any longer.

RACIST! When I say RACIST, I mean every letter! I stopped by Discount Tire Bossier City on yesterday. Informed that I should be here this morning at 7:15 so that I could be the first car they worked on. I was here by 7:10, before some of the employees even got here. At least six cars have came in after me. They have completed the work on all of those cars and all I need is for my tires to be balanced. They've tried to up-sell me tires, even told me that my lugs needed to be "hammered" off. The best part is when an employee called me STUPID for asking what was going on, why is it taking so long, and why all of the vehicles that got here after I did are gone. I've asked for the number to corporate several times. (At least 10.) It was just given to me after I believe it is the manager tried to explain that they need to use a different socket to get the lugs off. I kept asking where did the hammer come in at and if they had the socket, what's the problem.
I keep getting the run around while they keep pulling other cars in and pulling them out. We have purchased these tires from Discount. (Not this location.) We've purchased ALL of the tires on all of our vehicles from Discount Tire. I've never been treated like this, felt like this or seen this happen before in my life. I am truly amazed, hurt and shocked. I know I'm in the south, but WOW! DISCOUNT TIRE BOSSIER CITY LOUISIANA, you've disrespected a loyal customer with this one. I had new wheels installed at this shop in February. A few days ago, my front driver-side tire completely detached while driving--an extremely dangerous situation that thankfully didn't occur on the highway. Zack from the shop confirmed that the installation did not follow their own policy of a minimum of 6 threads of engagement per bolt.
Despite this acknowledgment, the shop has challenged my claim and deferred the matter to their insurance provider, rather than taking direct responsibility. This experience has shaken my trust in their workmanship and customer care. The safety of my family was put at risk due to negligence. Based on this, I cannot recommend this tire shop to others.
I've provided a picture of what they thought was ok to use vs what is actually ok to use. They did not follow their own directions and violated their own stated policy that numerous employees have told me, "we look for a minimum of 6 threads of engagement" - Stephen, and installed wheels in such a manner that only 1-2 threads were engaged.

A little over a year ago my wife and I bought a used BMW 440I, from Sewell BMW. They performed a BMW Certification at that time. And, they put 2 new tires on the front. Really nice people. They lived up to their reputation. A couple of weeks ago the right front tire started losing air. I kept air in it until I had time to look it over. When I inspected the tire I found a small screw in the middle of the tread. This morning I took the car to Discount Tire. I'll try to make this short. The salesman told me that the front end was out of line and the front tires were so worn that he couldn't fix the flat but he could put 4 new tires on the car. I'll let you draw your own conclusions.
At one time I considered Discount to be the best tire shop in the US. They have become an unethical, morally bankrupt business. I'm ashamed to say that this is my second experience at getting shafted by this store. I should have learned the first time. Challenging these people is a waste of time because they're doing what they have been trained to do. I'm a car guy. In the words of Judge Judy, don't Pee on my leg and tell me it's Raining. Discount Tire recently is not a good option. Had all new tires for Tesla Model S. When I had a flat tire, since I had the road hazard option on it went to Discount Tire to fix it. Technician reviewed the record and there were no visits for tire rotation. He used that against me saying tires are worn off because they were not rotated every 5K miles. I had no issues with tires to be honest. He insisted that the warrant is void and tires are bad and I did not rotate them. Denied servicing the tires and I was cornered to buy 2 new tires. They are not into servicing you anymore but to make a new tire sale for every customer visiting the store. I think I am done with Discount Tire. Considering Costco going forward. Expertise and service are no more part of Discount Tire. Good luck with your choice.

I stopped my Discount Tire on West Ina, Tucson to see if I needed new tires as we were making a long road trip the following week. They advised me that I should replace all 4 tires to be safe. I was good with that. I purchased 4 new tires for $1100+. Two days later one of the tires was low so I went back to Discount Tire for a replacement. I was told they would repair it only. I pushed to have it replaced as I had just spent $1100 on these 4 tires and they said okay. They didn’t have stock so I made an appointment to come back the following day. My appointment was for 10:15 but I decided to get there early and if they weren’t busy maybe they could take me. I got there at 9:35. There were 2 other people before me, one that just walked in the door 3 minutes before me. He didn’t have an appointment so they took him first. The shop wasn’t busy, there were working on 2 cars and there were 2 empty stalls.
At about 10:10 I was getting anxious, it wasn’t busy and yet my car was sitting in the parking lot. I asked to speak to the manager hoping to get an apology or something. I asked him why was I sitting waiting…. I was told my appointment wasn’t until 10:15 and I’d have to wait until 10:15 before they could start working on my car! Remember…the shop was half empty. This was my 4th time back to Discount Tire, 1st to confirm I needed them, 2nd time to purchase, 3rd time to replace the bad tire that they sold me where they they didn’t have stock, and now the 4th time to replace the bad tire. Btw, all my tires were missing caps. Does this sound like a company that you would like to do business with? I have been a customer of (Eagle Road, Meridian Idaho) Discount Tire for 5 years. I have purchased at least a dozen tires from this store as well as mag wheels for my truck and have always considered this store a solid merchant, to the point where I could have purchased the same tires at Walmart and saved money, but felt Discount Tire, while pricier, was trustworthy. Today, my wife (again) hit a curb and blew out a front tire on her Subaru. I responded out with a floor jack and removed the ruined tire and took the wheel/tire to Discount and ordered a new $212.00 tire. Three hours later I got a call from them telling me the new tire was mounted and ready to go. I paid the $212.00 and took the tire to the scene where the car was sitting and when I started to put the wheel and "new" tire on the car, I noted that in white paint on the inner sidewall was handwritten the name "Hansen"!
Clearly this tire had been owned by someone else (named Hansen) so I mounted the wheel on the car and headed back to Discount Tire. The staff swore this was a "new tire off the truck" but had no explanation how someone's name happened to be painted on the tire! I asked that an actual "new tire" be ordered and installed and the managers said no, this IS a "new tire off the truck" (This phrase was repeated at LEAST 5 times during our increasingly heated conversation)..
I'm not an idiot - I have been buying tires and working on my own vehicles for 60 years and have never seen any NEW automotive accessory with someone's name painted on it. Obviously Discount tire pawned-off on me if not a used tire, at the very least a previously owned tire. Had this tire been installed on my car at their shop, no one would have been the wiser, but since I installed it myself at a remote location I noted firsthand that this tire was previously owned. My advice? Steer clear of Discount Tire on Eagle Road!

I was advised the tires would be a warranty issue and they would pay full replacement for the 3 and I would have to buy the 4th. The 4th has to be replaced since we are replacing 3. The manager's call, I was told. I also learned the $60 per tire roadside I paid on the first set was cashed in to replace the 3 which cost me $240. I then had to pay another $240 to get roadside on the new ones. When I threatened to go somewhere else out of principle, the Manager split the cost of the 1 tire; however could not bring himself to do anything about the $25 mounting fee for the one tire. On 1/6/25 Discount Tire improperly lifted our vehicle on the power running boards instead of the frame causing significant damage. We initially had it into Christian Brothers Automotive and they charged us $947.23 to repair a broken bracket, which we paid. But they found this did not correct the problem because the body had been ripped apart as well so they sent us to a body shop for that repair. Eagle body works estimated at minimum $14,732.24 with the possibility of supplemental charges as the repair was ongoing. Estimated time to perform the repair is 4 weeks. I had the vehicle sold for $35,000 prior to this damage cause by Discount Tire, the party is no longer interested due to the damage. A comparable rental vehicle for the 4 week repair is $3,611.97 according to Enterprise rental. Estimated depreciation is $5000-$7000.

I am writing to express my concerns regarding a recent experience at your Frisco location. In December 2024, I received tire sensor service from Discount Tire and was very satisfied with the quality and care provided. However, in February 2025, a series of events has left me disappointed and deeply troubled by the treatment I received.
After visiting Costco in February 2025 for front tire replacement—which initially seemed like a great deal—I encountered a problem when one of the front tire nuts would not come off. The Costco associate advised me to consult with my previous service provider, so I returned to Discount Tire. Associate ** assisted me by providing a coupon for Brake Plus, and the issue was resolved promptly.
The following day, while at Costco for additional tire service, I was informed that another nut on the front wheel was now stuck due to cross-threading. I once again returned to your Frisco location to explain the situation. Although Associate ** provided an explanation regarding the issue, I was deeply dissatisfied with his concluding remarks. When I requested a written account of the events—similar to the detailed assistance I received from **—**’s final words, particularly his instruction to “keep the pen,” struck me as dismissive and carried a tone that I interpreted as racially insensitive.
I believe that all customers deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of the situation. Unfortunately, this experience has significantly eroded my confidence in the service at your location. As a result, I have decided not to return to Discount Tire at 7855 Preston Road, Frisco. I kindly request that you review this matter to ensure that future customers are treated with the courtesy and respect they deserve. Thank you for your attention to this serious concern.

We live on the other side of Hampton, so it was a pain to drive all the way back up there to pick her up. This is the third complaint I have heard from our air field. I have authorized all posters and signs to be removed off our premises concerning this company. Before I went up there to pick her up I called and asked them about this mess, got the two step runaround. Picked her up and left, will have to take her back some time this evening. She was there at 10am.

Terrible experience. I had tires and wheels from Tire Rack shipped to Discount Tires to have them installed on my BMW. All they had to do was to take existing wheels off and put the new ones on. Discount broke off my original BMW wheel lock key with the key stuck in the wheel bolt. Instead of taking responsibility they came up with different excuses that it was not their fault - the key was old (a 6 year BMW key), it happens often, or the wheel bolt was too tight etc. They were unable to fix it and said I now need to go to a BMW dealer to have it fixed. So I left with a broken wheel lock key, a stripped wheel bolt, and wheels that were not mounted and likely a serious bill from the BMW dealer to fix their mess-up. Terrible service, never will go back.

I was told they were so I asked if the road Hazzard were transferable. I was told no by Tyler the customer service person. I was to pay 13x.xx for the new certificates. I asked corporate in Arizona about this and corporate said there was a mistake and I shouldn't pay anything for the tires and certificates. I went to my appointment and the customer service person charged me $25.xx for the exchange. He and his boss said it was because the tire prices went up. I called corporate again and they said I should not be charged anything once again. The store on 28th near Breton in Grand Rapids said I was charged because of a possible upgrade which I never got, he couldn't explain why I was charged. I will never go back to that crooked tire company again for anything. Shame on them for ripping customers off.

I bought my tires from them 2.5 years ago. They had a 3-year warranty. I went to them for all the scheduled tire rotations and they were free with fast service. But then two months ago I got a check tire pressure and took it in. They said I had a nail in the front left tire and they “repaired it”. Two weeks later the tire pressure dropped again. They said there was “another nail” in the same tire and they “fixed it”.
Two weeks later same thing, same response. They said it was under warranty and they would replace it for free but then they charged me $89 for a new tire. After complaining they gave me the tire half off. I find it very hard to believe that the same tire would have a “nail” three times and in such a short period!!! They never showed me these “nails” I think they don’t fix it properly so that you are forced to buy a new tire from them without warranty coverage. Then they talk you into buying their own warranty coverage.

They told me they could not repair such a problem and I had to buy a new tire since I was in a bind. It is so dangerous in the Dallas area to be stuck on the side of the road. I recently visited Discount Tire to replace two tires, and the experience was incredibly disappointing due to the dishonesty of some employees. While waiting, I noticed a pattern—customers, including myself, were repeatedly told they needed to replace their lug nuts. While some may have needed it, I knew mine didn’t, as I had just purchased new ones before arriving. On top of that, they tried to charge me an extra $30, which felt unjustified.
What bothered me most was how they treated an elderly lady. She had a slow leak in her tire and just wanted some air since she couldn’t wait for a two-hour repair. Instead of helping, they told her the air machine wouldn’t work because her tire was only holding 14 pounds of pressure, which I knew wasn’t true. This left her stressed and confused, and when she asked if there were air machines nearby, the employee dismissed her, saying most don’t work. I felt disgusted by the lack of honesty and compassion. Discount Tire, do better—customers deserve honesty, not manipulation.

I want to write my experience with the product and service the discount tire provided to me over the past year. I changed the four tires at the store about one year ago. At that time, they told me that I had an 80,000-mile guarantee from the tire company and that if anything happened to the tires, they would replace them at no charge if I paid some price for that service. So I paid all the services they recommended. Last week, I received an email from them stating that I should get a tire rotation service for free, so I sent my car to the store. It turned out that my front tires were in such bad condition that they gave me a warning that I had to change them immediately. Otherwise, I would be at risk if I drove the car on the road. They said that the damage to the front tires was due to a mechanical issue, but I did an alignment service within the last year and had no idea what was wrong with the tires. They still charged me the full cost for replacing these two tires.
What they offered before was nonsense. There is no guarantee at all. The tires lasted only one year and less than 10,000 miles. My wife mostly just drove the car to and from school. It's ridiculous that I could rely on these tires for 80,000 miles. It just survived around one year and less than 10,000 miles, and I have to replace these tires. What a shame for the service and products. Please pay attention that what they said is conditional.

Another young man lets me know that everything is good to go and all 4 tires have been aired up and are at correct pressure. I happily got in the car and drove off. The first odd thing to get my attention was that the radio station was on an odd Sirius station. I said initially, not my car, I'm not really in it, but I know what my wife listens to and where the radio was, didn't know her car could pick up Sirius, doesn't use it when I'm in the car. 3. The person I spoke with immediately tried to deny any responsibility.
4. Discount Tire did not follow up, I had to.
5. Discount Tire continued this trend 3-total times.
6. I had to buy my own replacement center caps for the property they destroyed.

I bought two tires from Discount Tire in Fredericksburg, Virginia and made the appointment for installation. I live over an hour from the closest Discount Tire but had good prior experiences near Richmond, Virginia so I made the over two hour round trip. I wrote in the instructions the valve stem was leaking and needed to be replaced. When I arrived and inquired about the valve stem the promise of replacement was reiterated. I was told this was a normal part of tire replacement at Discount Tire. The tires were installed efficiently and I was on my way in less than an hour. Next morning the new tire was visibly low. I looked and discovered one of the two valve stems had been replaced but one had not. The leaking valve stem was NOT replaced as promised despite very specific instructions requesting it be replaced.
I called and received the apology you would expect along with promises to make the repair first thing in the morning. I made sure the customer service representative on the phone knew the mistake and knew I was making a two hour round trip. I made another first of the day appointment to replace the valve stem and made the hour trip to the shop.
The efficiency of the shop was gone. I was the first customer there at opening but somehow this very routine replacement for a failed repair fell behind the technicians in the bay discussing their events of the previous night and leaving my truck unrepaired for over 45 minutes. I watched through the showroom window as my tire was taken off my truck and set to the side with no repair being made while the three technicians talked and laughed and then moved on to another car. Finally at the 45 minute mark I called the Discount Tire 800 number to lodge my complaint. I then walked to the desk and pointed through the glass window to my truck sitting there waiting for the promised quick repair while the technicians were gathered together having another personal conversation. I knew it was personal because I walked out and stood at the bay door behind my truck and listened.
The manager tried to hand me off to another service advisor but I made my point. The techs scattered when spoken to by the manager and the repair was made just prior the one hour mark. I made the 1 hour drive back home and went to check the air pressure. The valve stem had been replaced but no valve stem cap was installed. Easy enough to remedy but just plain sloppy. I cannot believe the manager did not follow up on the repair in the shop knowing the shop had failed to make the installation correct the first time.
Having two tires replaced at Discount Tire required two trips and a minor finishing touch ( valve stem cap) made by me. No doubt I passed by more than a dozen other tire shops to be a customer of Discount Tire. The next day the manager called me. I thought this was a positive turn of events. I was wrong. He offered two free tires which I did not need. Therefore, I declined. I suggested since he had my credit card information that he make an adjustment that he thought was fair for the inconvenience and sloppy follow up.
I have waited for more than 10 days and no adjustment has been made. I guess the manager of Discount Tire on Plank Road in Fredericksburg, Virginia thinks not delivering on promises made the first time and then failing to manage the staff of the facility and then failing to follow up with an adjustment to the invoice is the right thing to do. It is not!
Over the years I have made many of my friends and family aware of my satisfaction with Discount Tire in Chester, Virginia and other locations. I am now on a campaign to let them know my recent experiences with Discount Tire has completely changed my opinion. There is no reason to go out of your way to spend your money at Discount Tire. The opposite is true. Go to another chain which delivers on their promises and values your time. Management sets the culture of business and can have the highest impact on customer retention. Discount Tire on Plank Road in Fredericksburg has a culture of very poor inspection of their work, making and failing to keep promises, and failing to follow through after becoming aware of their failures to deliver.

When I relocated hearer to Juliette GA, I was concerned that I wouldn't get the same level of professional help I was getting with Robert and Chris from Discount Tire in Jacksonville NC. Garret, Brandon and a couple of more employees here at the Macon store has proven that the level of professionalism, attention to details and yet make you feel like they hear and understand you and they respond very well to your situation. Took my daughter's car in while she was on leave and she has satin black bbs wheels, she had low miles on tires so we asked to keep them and place in car, she wanted more aggressive tires, she arrived home and no tires and noticed two major circular scratches on 2 wheels on one side, they were deep and large. Called shop instantly and they asked for pics as they were closing and not to return, sent them and daughter had to drive to base in Co. so I called Monday as this was a Saturday.
They said never got email so I repeated and sent multiple times and this went on, as I spoke to manager over this he stated never got pics but mentioned after looking at them he said it was a employee did not use right item to mount. I asked why he said he never looked at pics but then he said oh I meant most likely, he lied. Another employee said they will not replace wheels that cost 2 grand each and sue us. Mentioned spoiled military getting discount and complaining, was in shock after 45 years of using them.. Disgusting.

I usually visit to Discount Tire store. Just depends on what part of town I’m in. Both locations are in San Antonio, and the first location is on 281 N. I stopped in for a tire rotation, And they broke one of the Lugnuts. They had a contract with brake check to replace the lug nut. Brake check did a good job, but as a walk in I had to wait 2 1/2 hours. The second location is closer to my home. The location is on Nacogdoches Rd., and I went in just for tire pressure. The tire pressure on my car is 33/35. They pumped the tires and set my pressure @ 38/40. I understand pumping a little extra air during cold season, tire pressure tester vary, but 5 PSI over is way too much. My car has a tire pressure monitor, so when I got home I went to adjust the tire pressure. The attendant never replaced the tire stem caps on the passenger side. They just lost a $1200 sale over two dollars worth of stem cabs.

I have been doing business with this company for 30 years in various locations. I realize Discount Tire is extremely busy, especially on a Saturday afternoon. Oh, I know that we can all get online, find the tires we need, schedule an appointment ahead of time, however, I was out running errands and decided to pop in to this establishment to ask some questions and schedule that appointment. Most of us older folks like talking to a real live person. I stood in line for 15 minutes looking right at the technician at the counter and have that technician wait on the other customers that came in behind me. This is poor customer service. The technician could have said, “sir I will be right with you”. He found every reason to stay on the computer and wait on additional customers instead of waiting on me. I don’t know why. I did take a bath that day and comb my hair, haha!
This company just lost a huge sale. Being a car guy I know a lot of people that need tires for their vehicles. I will be passing on to my Friends, do not go to this Discount Tire shop in McKinney Texas at 380 and 75. Two other technicians came in from the shop to help other customers who were waiting to pick up their vehicles, then went back out into the shop. I had the worst experience at the Discount Tire at 7620 Hwy 90A, Sugar Land TX. I took my car in for a simple nail fix, but I ended up spending $1030.00 dollars on 4 new tires. Two of my rims were damaged in the process of installation of the new tires. I went back immediately to complain about the damaged rims and was offered a $55.00 refund or leave my rim there and they will send it off for repair. I did not have time to search for a repair shop so I left my 1 of the rims there for them to repair. I asked how long it would take, John the store manager said 2-3 days. Fast forward, it took 2 weeks, they sent the rim off for repair, but it came back in poor quality, and therefore it was sent back out again.
I literally had to call the store every other day to inquiry when it would be ready. No one at the store call to apologize for the delay or told me the truth of what really happened that cause the repair to take forever. The only time they followed up with the repair shop was when I called to inquiry when the rim would be ready to be install back on my car. Every time I call the Discount Tire store, they always promised to call me back and not once the entire 2 weeks did anyone ever called me once. I called the store the entire time, customer service was the worst, and the store staff was not apologetic for damaging my rims.
They made me feel like I was an inconvenience for them, when they were the ones at fault, and should have been making it right for me from the start. I don't know what happened with my rim that took so long to get repair, and I do feel that the truth was not provided to me. Now I have another damaged rim, which I have to repair myself and spend more money. What a freaking nightmare, I should have just repaired the darn nail and left that day and not purchased tires from there. Please do not go there unless you want your rims to get damaged. Their employees are not trained properly to install tires without damaging rims. I highly do not recommend this store.

My first review on Discount Tire was them selling me tires that were defective and would not replace them at no charge. The manufacturer Yokohama at the time said they would cover 78% of what I paid for the tires. After my review given on ConsumerAffairs, Yokohama called Discount Tire and they agreed to cover 80% and Discount Tire agreed to cover the 20%. This resulted in a 100% refund which is what is deserved considering the amount I paid for defective tires. I got new tires on today, but I went with Michelin.
Original Review: Sept. 21, 2022
Discount tire sold me 4 new tires 5 months ago. 2 of the tires have chunks coming off and overall just falling apart. Discount tire will not replace them. They called the tire manufacturer “Yokohama“ and they will cover a percentage. Discount tire calls me back and they want me to pay over $200 to put 2 new tires of the same brand on. I already paid $1,036.35 so I don’t see why I should have to pay anything for defective manufacturer tires. Discount tires sells this brand so they should discount it down to zero whatever the manufacturer does not cover. They sell their product so they should honor these defective tires. At this point I’m driving my vehicle with children in it and it’s a safety hazard. We could get killed from a tire blowout and I can’t afford any more tires.

I have done business with Discount Tire off and on nearly 40 years and NEVER have been disappointed but have decided since, I'll not go anywhere else. Just today, I went in, to this store (Loop 323 Tyler) with my low tire pressure light issue other than low pressure. One of the young men ended up having to reset the sensors at no cost to me. I had gone in expecting to find out I had a damaged TPMS unit (previously had found out they all checked good) and spend at least $50 - $70. The people who work for (and have worked for) Discount Tire have always been extremely courteous. They treat their customers as they would want to be treated. Thank you, Discount Tire for always being there when I needed Tire replacement/repair.
By the way everyone, they do stand by their tire warranties. Several years ago, I had a tire on my car which ended up with a broken belt, ready to buy a new one because I had rolled out all the warranty. As it turned out I had two tires that way and they replaced both of them for the cost of the tire warranty ($6 those days). The tires were 35,000-mile tires and I had just finished those miles on those tires. Best deal I ever got. If anyone is looking for a reliable place to get their tires, you can't go wrong with Discount Tire! Trust me!

I do most of my transactions at the branch in Lake City, Florida as they seem to have the best customer service out of the different locations I have been in. 98% of the time they will honor the warranty you can purchase with the purchase of the tires. I have had to use my warranty multiple times to get tires replaced. It is hit or miss on whether it is covered (depending on which CSR (Customer Service Rep) you get). They do take a while to get the job done which isn't always a bad thing as they do take the time to compare the stats (pros/cons) of each brand tire they have in stock and they can get for you.
The primary issue I have encountered through them is that they will quote you a time period and then take double that to get the actual job done. If you go here, make sure you allot yourself at least 1-2 hours to be waiting. Start to finish. On the other hand, staff is very friendly/professional and clean (appearance). The office/lobby is clean and tidy. I feel comfortable letting my toddler roam around because it is clean, spacious and nothing for him to get into.

I called corporate, no response. After all the issues I had with their tires you think they give me a better deal, like dry root tires. I called a 3rd time and nothing happened. I was under the assumption that the products and services you offer are not just cheap but convenient, and taking time out of my work, my wife's work, in multiple occasions to just do what your team is supposed to do, is distant from convenient. I went to Discount Tire to purchase a set of tires for my 1958 Corvette but since I was there anyway I figured I would buy a tire for my 2011 Dodge Ram and get three Tire Pressure Sensors (TPI's) replaced. One TPI worked perfect, one TPI did not work at all and the other two TPI's only worked for about 15 minutes after starting the truck. I talked to a salesman by the name of Gregg who told me he had a set of General Grabber Tires that only had 3K miles and that he would sell them to me for less than half of what they would run brand new, and he would replace all four TPI's at $240.00. I specifically asked Gregg if the tires had any plugs in them and he replied, "they are just like brand new with no plugs with less than 3K miles on them".
When driving to work the next day, two of the brand new TPI's that were working stopped working after 15 minutes just like they did before they were replaced. Of course, the TPI that was working still was and the TPI that was not working at all, was working. When I got to work, I looked at one of the tires and noticed a plug in one of the tires. (I only looked at one tire.) I don't see how two brand new TPI's would failed after 15 minutes just like the old ones did unless they did not replace them and only replaced the one bad TPI. As far as the plug, Gregg either lied to me, was incompetent or both.

Called the Okemos location and was advised that "generally" they offer the certificate and "most people" accept the certificate. Of course it's typically accepted because they do not tell people about it - they simply add it to the invoice. They apologize and offer to refund this; which I accepted.
My question is - how may other people have been charged this amount and never had the certificate explained? My guess is multiple. Additionally, this is printed right on the invoice: https://www.discounttire.com/customer-service/certificates. Did not discuss certificates. I also had the same thing happen to another vehicle 2 years ago in Round Lake IL. I am writing this for you to make sure that you have it noted and checked with no issues before service is done. It may cost you a few hundred dollars. CAUTION.

Not 1st time, I took in a tire for repair, walked in documented and told to wait, I sit patiently at 1st 1:20, but keep noticing other walk ins buying tires being cared with the utmost devotion while I get thrown back & back. After 2:30 I complained in a respectable but higher tone and miraculously (I was next on line & will be called soon) at 3 hrs I was about to take my tire to a less prestigious shop but I did pay for a costly 80000 mile warranty! I got up again and I'm not very nice but also not insulting, I'm now officially next! Wow, it takes this to honor your paid warranty?
This is not the 1st time I've experienced this since I've been a customer for a long time, Is: why don't you get prompt service after tires & warranty are bought and why is a repair literally or almost not important? Got bad, but now worse business, and will do tire & wheel purchases elsewhere, and warranty purchases there are gonna ruin your day if tire puncture, or other issues! Sad to see American businesses so greedy & not ethical in promises (in writing mind you).

Time passes by and need tires were for another vehicle. I went to the same store we ordered the rim but they couldn't give me the credit for what we paid for the rim. I stop dealing with Discount tire. Few years back I wrote to customer service regarding what happened long time back, Surprisingly Regional Manager TOOK TIME to called me, first apologized then gave me a credit more than what we paid for the RIM.

Valve caps placed on vehicle were plastic - not the metal ones I had on the vehicle when brought to the shop. Tire rack has better deals and more selection. Any auto shop can rotate and balance tires.

Discount does not disclose to customers that they do not handle wheel alignment even when installing new tires (which may have cost well over $1,000). You must pay another service vendor an additional fee for this every time it needs doing. My pricey replacement tires lasted only half as long as they should have because, by Discount's own admission, the wheels weren't aligned and the tires wore horribly and must be replaced. They will not adjust this cost. They should disclose this conspicuously or change their practices. This is misleading by omission at a consumer level of sophistication.

Went in for a nail in a tire. Salesman convinced me I needed 4 new tires, cost me $750. After I got home I found my receipt from the last time I bought tires.... my old tires (Goodyear) only had 20,000 miles on them. I went back to Discount Tire and picked up the tires that were taken off my car. I took them to 2 other tire shops who both confirmed that the tires were fine and did not need to be replaced.

I'll just get another set. The set I then wanted was priced at $360.00 or $90/per tire on their site plus I had taken a screenshot but the sales rep kept insisting they were $95/per tire. I asked for tire certificates for each and to meet me halfway on those for the inconvenience $20 ($40 value at $10/tire).
My new total would of been $380.00 with $360 for tires and $20 for tire certificates. Sales rep kept saying it was $420 minus $20 fore tire certificates for at total of $400. When I asked for an itemized quote that is when I noticed they were charging me $95/tire even though their site said $90/tire, I pointed this out and was asked to send them the screen shot via email so I did. After review they game me some ** excuse and said my new total came to $386. At this time I told them, "No thank you" and to cancel my order for the original Atturos set. I can't do business with a company who tries to scam customers. I would give them only a 1 STAR review but the only good thing was the speed of their communication so I'll give them 2 STARS. We recently purchased a set of Pirelli for our Rogue. Paid upfront for the install and ordering because they were not in stock. When we went to have them installed, I noticed a sign that said, "we must supply you with a manufacturer registration card" and another sign, "ask to print out a copy of the certificate". Turns out that, we without being asked if we wanted it, had been sold their warranty that is optional. That was an extra hundred bucks and, honestly, I have never known anyone to honor road hazard without doing their best to place the blame on you and find a way to deny. How am I to know if these guys are the exception to that rule when, they were deceptive by not asking me if, I wanted the warranty. Well, I can judge that by the rest of their actions.
I never received my registration card And TRUST ME that does matter. The tires could be recalled or, a number of other things! But, the last straw is they forgot to give me the old tires, that I told them I wanted to put on my farm truck so, I had to get those. And my low tire light no longer goes off. Evidently they must of broke the sensor because the price of my tires and install also included rebuild of the sensors. I have complained and reached out to home office. Oops, I left out best part!! While waiting for my tires install, I overheard the salesman price tires to a customer. He asked the customer if he "Wanted" the certificate. The customer asked how much. And quickly balked at the extra 100 bucks. The salesman then offered him the CERTIFICATE at half price. I wasn't even asked, they added it on without my knowledge. But, offering the certificate for half price seems to say??? Leave it to you but, honestly, they ain't no better at Walmart.

Background: My vehicle is a 2019 Ford F-250 XLT Crew Cab 4x4. The original tires were Goodyear All Terrain Kevlar 275/70/18. Approximately 28k miles and the tires had just begun to measure in the yellow. Proactively, I went to Discount Tire to replace them. I ordered BF Goodrich KO2's in the original 275/70/18 online to be installed at Discount Store at 3869 Washington Rd, Augusta GA. I have owned several sets of KO2's with no issues. I have been a customer of Discount Tire for many years.
March 12, 2021: I arrived at Discount Tire at 3869 Washington Rd to have my new tires installed. Installer brought my keys and told me all tires balanced well. Left to head out of town and It was obvious that something was wrong with the balance and/or the tires. The vibration could be felt in the steering wheel and the seat. It was significant.
March 15, 2021: Returned to Discount Tire at 3869 Washington Rd to discuss issues. Tires were checked and found one of the tires was so bad it couldn't be balanced on the Hunter Road Force balancer. (If this was true then how was it ever balanced on the 12th?) That tire was removed and replaced, all other tires checked. The installer brought me my keys and told me everything balanced out well. Within 5 minutes of driving it was obvious that the issues had not been fixed. Wandering and vibration that could be felt in the seat (not so much in the steering wheel) making the truck shake between 35-50mph. Every bit as significant as before.
March 16, 2021: Called to speak to location manager. Discussed the issues and my disappointment. Store Manager stated that sometimes tires are just not right for a certain vehicle and that we may want to switch to another tire. I told the Manager that thousands of F-250's run with KO2's without issue. Manager stated that sometimes it's better to move to a different tire. He recommended Nitto Ridge Grapplers and Manager commented this was his go to tire. We made an appointment for 3/19 to trade out the tires.
March 19, 2021: Arrived at Discount Tire at 3869 Washington Rd to swap the tires out. Paid an additional $212.50 for the Nitto's which was fine if they helped fix the issues. Walked to the truck with representative to inspect the tires. Found significant damage to one wheel (Chrome scratched, removed, gouged on wheel edge) and pointed it out. Another wheel had the chrome cladding delaminated but not yet torn off. Representative stated "It happens on wheels like this", they are just chrome cladded. I stated it didn't happen when Ford installed them. Nitto's were installed and the installer brought me the keys stating that this time they were balanced perfectly. With 5 minutes of drive time it was once again obvious that the tires were incorrectly balanced. Again shake at between 35-50Mph felt primarily in the seat.
March 20, 2021: Stopped at the Discount Tire store at 4538 Washington Rd to ask for help. Maybe their machines were better calibrated than the store at 3869 Washington Rd, Set up an appointment for Monday to check the balance. March 22, 2021: Went to Discount Tire at 4538 Washington Rd. All four tires were checked through the same Hunter Road Force balancing process. 3 of the 4 tires were found to be out of balance. March 30, 2021: Claim filed through Discount Tire Customer Service for damage to wheels. Explained that Discount Tire were the only individuals to ever touch the tires/rims since buying the truck new and zero damage existed prior to the beginning of this ordeal.
April 1, 2021: Received this reply from Discount Tire Customer Service: "The investigation into the above referenced claim is now complete. According to the review by Discount Tire there is no evidence that any tools used or service provided by Discount Tire damaged your vehicle. For Discount Tire to issue any type of compensation, the company would have to be found liable for the damage to your vehicle. At this time, we have found no liability on behalf of the company. Based on this information Discount Tire is not accepting liability for the damage to your vehicle and, will not be issuing any voluntary payments at this time."
I know this review is long, but so was the ordeal with Discount Tire. I have never had an experience like this, in the 35 years prior to this of buying tires I would go in and pick out a set of tires, they put them on and I drove away without any issues...not this time. I very rarely feel compelled to leave reviews as typically the service I receive meets my expectations. I write this to make others aware. Ultimately, I took the tires back to Discount tire and they refunded my purchase price but refused to pay for the over $900 of damage to my wheels... Never Again...

Recently I applied for a Discount Tire CC and received one. We have always bought tires for our cars and trucks at Discount even when I was a regional manager at Sam's Club, the product and the service has always been wonderful. However on 03/02/2021 at the location in Waxahachie Tx, the service was completely absent from the experience. We had 4 new tires put on our Mercedes SUV spending over $700 dollars. The SUV had an emergency spare on it, and in past situations we often had emergency spares on other cars. However in this situation the emergency jack, tire iron and stock equipment for changing the spare was not put away. Just piled in the back of the SUV, a tarp used to wrap the flat so the rear end of the SUV would not get dirty. Was just thrown in the rear end as well and to make matters so much worse the cargo cover covering the spare tire compartment has dirty CAT litter on it??
After spending time cleaning off the compartment cover, folding the tarp and placing it back into the SUV and placing all the tools back into the spare tire compartment I was very upset and then take this even further this was to be a touchless appointment, I had to get out of my car, wait in line, then walk around outside the store with no place to sit other than walk around with everyone else who just showed up without an appointment. I am very disappointed and it's that time of the year when we have other automobiles to have new tires placed on them? I am wondering if my business is no longer valued after 28 years of customer loyalty.

I arrived, got seen after 15 min. Then the quote. Again, I wasn't surprised, but felt that they should have been 10-15% below quotes I had gotten. So, they got to me after 90 min. Changed two tires (sidewall damaged one and the spare was 10+ years old. Not safe!). But what my biggest disappointment was, was they didn't have a clue about replacing the spare tire. They didn't come to me and ask, they simply started trying to figure out the way to do it.
I had researched and had instructions before even starting the process. The kids didn't have a clue. I showed one where the drop shaft was, he couldn't see it. Knowing that I'd have to spend another hour there teaching, I passed, had them toss the tire in and left. I'll go deal with another company that doesn't have a fake name to lure people in, and workers who want to learn to better themselves and show company pride.

I’ve Been shopping at Discount Tires almost exclusively for 30 years. In the spring I bought 2 tires there. I got the “certificates for repair, refund, or exchange” with them. Well, the tires turned out to be garbage. They both had lumps in the sidewalk from day one. I had to drive across the country which is why I replaced the 2 tires. I had only had one bad tire but I wanted a matched set. Anyway, the lumps got worse and I only made it most of the way before one blew up. Before that they had been shaking like crazy making it hard to drive. I put 2 new tires on so I again had a matched set. I brought the tire I still had back to discount after my trip. There were no discount tires on the east coast.
Long story short, they wouldn’t let me return that tire even though I had the certificate. The manager even told me that to tell the truth, those certificates don’t do anything for you. He doesn’t know why people buy them but most customers do. I know why, because they here sell them with the tires. I’m sure no one ever said, "Please charge an extra $150 on my order" for nothing. He said all tires at discount come with a warranty that’s the same whether you buy certificates or not. I’ve bought probably 100 of those by now. I feel so dumb. He said no matter the name, they don’t let you return tires unless you buy new tires at the same time. I don’t need new tires.
I asked about the ad they show for at least 30 years with the old lady throwing a tire through the window. It says if you’re ever unsatisfied with a tire bring it back. He said he has never understood that ad either because that’s not their policy. I don’t like being lied to, especially if it’s systemic, planned, and repetitive. Discount Tire’s business plan is to lie and cheat customers whenever possible. I will never return there. I will stop recommending them like I’ve done for decades. I will warn whoever I can to never go there. It’s time to cancel Discount Tires. Goodbye.

We did buy Certificates which will be honored after 3 years per the manager and tire geeks in garage and I also contacted the corporate office to run the extension on the years past them and to keep their customers happy I was told per Cooper and Jerrad at the store they will work with customers up to 6 years to replace worn out tires in order to keep their customers happy and keep coming back, now that is a good company but time will tell if they are being honest about the extension on warranty or not, I had them write the extension and sign their name on my receipts. No attempt to up-sale but rather informed recommendations based on your car and driving needs.
