Discount Tire tries and helps out for tires if you need air in the tires and they check the tires if and when they need to be changed or if you need help with which tires to get for the cars that people have.

Just introduced to Discount Tire in Kansas City and had to immediately replace a tire with a screw in it. Couldn't repair, so checked their options and decided on a mid-to-higher level quality tire for my passenger rear. They were quite quick and helpful, but... they didn't tell me about warranty options while I overheard others discussing it and was disappointed that I wasn't suggested such an option.

I replaced original tires on my 2015 Honda CRV. I wanted tires made in the USA and the salesperson at Discount took the time to check tires in stock to be sure they were stamped with "Made in USA". I made an appointment, they were prompt and efficient and courteous.

Took tire in for repair, nail in tire. After 2 and a half hour wait was told tire was repaired, tire was filled with air, no attempt to fix. Beware. If this is how they treat you after the sale I will never be back

I purchased a set of 4 new tires today. Before I went in I had no issues with my TPMS. After the job was done I have issues. I was told that I have 1 wheel with a weak battery and 2 wheels with dead TPMS. This happened in the Discount Tire store in Johns Burg IL. I also had the same thing happen to another vehicle 2 years ago in Round Lake IL. I am writing this for you to make sure that you have it noted and checked with no issues before service is done. It may cost you a few hundred dollars. CAUTION.

Not 1st time, I took in a tire for repair, walked in documented and told to wait, I sit patiently at 1st 1:20, but keep noticing other walk ins buying tires being cared with the utmost devotion while I get thrown back & back. After 2:30 I complained in a respectable but higher tone and miraculously (I was next on line & will be called soon) at 3 hrs I was about to take my tire to a less prestigious shop but I did pay for a costly 80000 mile warranty! I got up again and I'm not very nice but also not insulting, I'm now officially next! Wow, it takes this to honor your paid warranty?

This is not the 1st time I've experienced this since I've been a customer for a long time, Is: why don't you get prompt service after tires & warranty are bought and why is a repair literally or almost not important? Got bad, but now worse business, and will do tire & wheel purchases elsewhere, and warranty purchases there are gonna ruin your day if tire puncture, or other issues! Sad to see American businesses so greedy & not ethical in promises (in writing mind you).

Discount Tire on Westport Road in Louisville, KY is a pleasant Tire Repair Shop to have your automotive work completed. Myself and or my family have had 4 or 5 sets of tire replaced at this location, trailer tire completed and even complete brake work completed. We have been very happy with the workmanship, the pricing and the willingness of the management team to work with us to find the best possible pricing.

I used to be Discount Tire customer for long time. In 2015 my daughter ordered a rim for her car and paid in full, meanwhile we sold the car and never collect the Rim. Time passes by and need tires were for another vehicle. I went to the same store we ordered the rim but they couldn't give me the credit for what we paid for the rim. I stop dealing with Discount tire. Few years back I wrote to customer service regarding what happened long time back, Surprisingly Regional Manager TOOK TIME to called me, first apologized then gave me a credit more than what we paid for the RIM.

Last week I wanted a some tires and did search online. DT was not the lowest, but the online chat Rep: Ms. ** was great to find the tires I wanted and discounted to match the competition and to make me feel important. Store guy was great to inform me lots I never knew regard to tires, then gave me the Rebate coupon too. Finally rebate offer number did not work, again chat online they even filled my rebate coupon and gave the confirmation number. Things have changed a lot. If one employee is great then it's That person but when it's happening thru out many steps it's coming down from top. It was a more than money's worth purchasing experience.. Thank you guys.

Free tire repair is nice but the employees let you know that don’t like repairing for free so parts in your car end up missing or replaced with other parts lying around the shop. Valve caps placed on vehicle were plastic - not the metal ones I had on the vehicle when brought to the shop. Tire rack has better deals and more selection. Any auto shop can rotate and balance tires.

I visit Discount Tire on W. Jefferson St, Joliet twice in one month. The first visit was on 7/7/21, because I had a tire with a slow leak. And the representative by the name of Matt, he was helpful by explaining different tire product and showed empathy. So 7/27/21 I came back to purchase two tires. Great customer service and Covid safe. D. **, Joliet.

Discount does not disclose to customers that they do not handle wheel alignment even when installing new tires (which may have cost well over $1,000). You must pay another service vendor an additional fee for this every time it needs doing. My pricey replacement tires lasted only half as long as they should have because, by Discount's own admission, the wheels weren't aligned and the tires wore horribly and must be replaced. They will not adjust this cost. They should disclose this conspicuously or change their practices. This is misleading by omission at a consumer level of sophistication.

Much to their credit, they made it right. After I called Customer Service and worked my way up a bit, I was issued a partial refund. This is exactly how Customer Service is supposed to work.

Went in for a nail in a tire. Salesman convinced me I needed 4 new tires, cost me $750. After I got home I found my receipt from the last time I bought tires.... my old tires (Goodyear) only had 20,000 miles on them. I went back to Discount Tire and picked up the tires that were taken off my car. I took them to 2 other tire shops who both confirmed that the tires were fine and did not need to be replaced.

I bought a set tires, they sent email saying not available anymore and tried their best to up sale me cheaper tires at a higher price the next day since they price hiked their tires the next day. I bought a set of 245/656/17 $97.20/tire for $388.82/set then the next day I get email and text alert saying the tires are no longer available and are on back order, no biggie. I'll just get another set. The set I then wanted was priced at $360.00 or $90/per tire on their site plus I had taken a screenshot but the sales rep kept insisting they were $95/per tire. I asked for tire certificates for each and to meet me halfway on those for the inconvenience $20 ($40 value at $10/tire).

My new total would of been $380.00 with $360 for tires and $20 for tire certificates. Sales rep kept saying it was $420 minus $20 fore tire certificates for at total of $400. When I asked for an itemized quote that is when I noticed they were charging me $95/tire even though their site said $90/tire, I pointed this out and was asked to send them the screen shot via email so I did. After review they game me some ** excuse and said my new total came to $386. At this time I told them, "No thank you" and to cancel my order for the original Atturos set. I can't do business with a company who tries to scam customers. I would give them only a 1 STAR review but the only good thing was the speed of their communication so I'll give them 2 STARS. I went ahead and bought a set of better tires with better tread pattern from Amazon at the cost of $351 with free home delivery.

The current store manager, Stephen ** is clueless about customer service. I bought new tires 3 days ago. These tires rode worst than my old ones. Why? That did not balance them. I showed him pictures of a qualified mechanic's balancing machine. It was not one tire; it was all 4. One tire read 1.75, the other .75, the other .75, and the last one 1.25. I showed him the pictures, and said "you should not of hit a pothole". Wow! Has anyone ever hit a pothole with all 4 tires at the same time. That is a shame. Not once did he offer to make it right, never once apologized, and that was it. What an embarrassment to the company. His name is Stephen **. This a store location you should avoid.

Hot garbage. I tried to replace my tires with the same exact make model and size tires that are on it only to be told they don't fit my truck and they won't sell them to me. Researching online this is a common problem. So I got them from a less self sabotaging company that can do common sense math.

We recently purchased a set of Pirelli for our Rogue. Paid upfront for the install and ordering because they were not in stock. When we went to have them installed, I noticed a sign that said, "we must supply you with a manufacturer registration card" and another sign, "ask to print out a copy of the certificate". Turns out that, we without being asked if we wanted it, had been sold their warranty that is optional. That was an extra hundred bucks and, honestly, I have never known anyone to honor road hazard without doing their best to place the blame on you and find a way to deny. How am I to know if these guys are the exception to that rule when, they were deceptive by not asking me if, I wanted the warranty. Well, I can judge that by the rest of their actions.

I never received my registration card And TRUST ME that does matter. The tires could be recalled or, a number of other things! But, the last straw is they forgot to give me the old tires, that I told them I wanted to put on my farm truck so, I had to get those. And my low tire light no longer goes off. Evidently they must of broke the sensor because the price of my tires and install also included rebuild of the sensors. I have complained and reached out to home office. Oops, I left out best part!! While waiting for my tires install, I overheard the salesman price tires to a customer. He asked the customer if he "Wanted" the certificate. The customer asked how much. And quickly balked at the extra 100 bucks. The salesman then offered him the CERTIFICATE at half price. I wasn't even asked, they added it on without my knowledge. But, offering the certificate for half price seems to say??? Leave it to you but, honestly, they ain't no better at Walmart.

Background: My vehicle is a 2019 Ford F-250 XLT Crew Cab 4x4. The original tires were Goodyear All Terrain Kevlar 275/70/18. Approximately 28k miles and the tires had just begun to measure in the yellow. Proactively, I went to Discount Tire to replace them. I ordered BF Goodrich KO2's in the original 275/70/18 online to be installed at Discount Store at 3869 Washington Rd, Augusta GA. I have owned several sets of KO2's with no issues. I have been a customer of Discount Tire for many years.

March 12, 2021: I arrived at Discount Tire at 3869 Washington Rd to have my new tires installed. Installer brought my keys and told me all tires balanced well. Left to head out of town and It was obvious that something was wrong with the balance and/or the tires. The vibration could be felt in the steering wheel and the seat. It was significant.

March 15, 2021: Returned to Discount Tire at 3869 Washington Rd to discuss issues. Tires were checked and found one of the tires was so bad it couldn't be balanced on the Hunter Road Force balancer. (If this was true then how was it ever balanced on the 12th?) That tire was removed and replaced, all other tires checked. The installer brought me my keys and told me everything balanced out well. Within 5 minutes of driving it was obvious that the issues had not been fixed. Wandering and vibration that could be felt in the seat (not so much in the steering wheel) making the truck shake between 35-50mph. Every bit as significant as before.

March 16, 2021: Called to speak to location manager. Discussed the issues and my disappointment. Store Manager stated that sometimes tires are just not right for a certain vehicle and that we may want to switch to another tire. I told the Manager that thousands of F-250's run with KO2's without issue. Manager stated that sometimes it's better to move to a different tire. He recommended Nitto Ridge Grapplers and Manager commented this was his go to tire. We made an appointment for 3/19 to trade out the tires.

March 19, 2021: Arrived at Discount Tire at 3869 Washington Rd to swap the tires out. Paid an additional $212.50 for the Nitto's which was fine if they helped fix the issues. Walked to the truck with representative to inspect the tires. Found significant damage to one wheel (Chrome scratched, removed, gouged on wheel edge) and pointed it out. Another wheel had the chrome cladding delaminated but not yet torn off. Representative stated "It happens on wheels like this", they are just chrome cladded. I stated it didn't happen when Ford installed them. Nitto's were installed and the installer brought me the keys stating that this time they were balanced perfectly. With 5 minutes of drive time it was once again obvious that the tires were incorrectly balanced. Again shake at between 35-50Mph felt primarily in the seat.

March 20, 2021: Stopped at the Discount Tire store at 4538 Washington Rd to ask for help. Maybe their machines were better calibrated than the store at 3869 Washington Rd, Set up an appointment for Monday to check the balance. March 22, 2021: Went to Discount Tire at 4538 Washington Rd. All four tires were checked through the same Hunter Road Force balancing process. 3 of the 4 tires were found to be out of balance. March 30, 2021: Claim filed through Discount Tire Customer Service for damage to wheels. Explained that Discount Tire were the only individuals to ever touch the tires/rims since buying the truck new and zero damage existed prior to the beginning of this ordeal.

April 1, 2021: Received this reply from Discount Tire Customer Service: "The investigation into the above referenced claim is now complete. According to the review by Discount Tire there is no evidence that any tools used or service provided by Discount Tire damaged your vehicle. For Discount Tire to issue any type of compensation, the company would have to be found liable for the damage to your vehicle. At this time, we have found no liability on behalf of the company. Based on this information Discount Tire is not accepting liability for the damage to your vehicle and, will not be issuing any voluntary payments at this time."

I know this review is long, but so was the ordeal with Discount Tire. I have never had an experience like this, in the 35 years prior to this of buying tires I would go in and pick out a set of tires, they put them on and I drove away without any issues...not this time. I very rarely feel compelled to leave reviews as typically the service I receive meets my expectations. I write this to make others aware. Ultimately, I took the tires back to Discount tire and they refunded my purchase price but refused to pay for the over $900 of damage to my wheels... Never Again...

I had ordered a tire recommended by the computer site...it was out of stock or not the correct tire as it happens. The people at Discount Tire and Jeff gave me an upgrade to the tire I had ordered. I have bought from Discount Tire for years (maybe at different locations) & I have never encounter a problem they could not address. Thank you Discount Tire team... Treasa

I've been there twice in the last month for their "Free" flat repair. Both times I was told they were un-repairable. Both times other, reputable tire stores repaired them. One time they told me it was because of government regulations. I searched several federal, state, and local sites and could not find anything to their claim. If they want to make a company policy that they won't repair under those conditions, fine, but don't have your employees lie about regs. Can you say bait and switch?

Saturday - Called 1st to confirm they could have my new tires mounted to my bare wheels (already off vehicle and ready for drop off). Was assured that even though they were busy, they could accommodate. Arrived 15 minutes later to drop them off. Was again told they would have them done same day. It was 1:40PM but they said they would be working late (to about 7) and would call me when done - that day! I called @ 6PM, no answer. I drove there, arriving @ 6:30. Closed, no signs of life. Called and left message. THEY DID NOT CALL ME. NOT OPEN SUNDAYS. Where are my wheels and tire? Beyond pissed at lack of communication. There are 10 other tire stores in the immediate area. So unprofessional.

I made an appointment online confirmed via my email and confirmation number. Told when I signed in it would be at least an hour. This is due to walk ins seemingly taking precedent over appointments. So as I stated in description appointments are moot for this business. Bad service!

Recently I applied for a Discount Tire CC and received one. We have always bought tires for our cars and trucks at Discount even when I was a regional manager at Sam's Club, the product and the service has always been wonderful. However on 03/02/2021 at the location in Waxahachie Tx, the service was completely absent from the experience. We had 4 new tires put on our Mercedes SUV spending over $700 dollars. The SUV had an emergency spare on it, and in past situations we often had emergency spares on other cars. However in this situation the emergency jack, tire iron and stock equipment for changing the spare was not put away. Just piled in the back of the SUV, a tarp used to wrap the flat so the rear end of the SUV would not get dirty. Was just thrown in the rear end as well and to make matters so much worse the cargo cover covering the spare tire compartment has dirty CAT litter on it??

After spending time cleaning off the compartment cover, folding the tarp and placing it back into the SUV and placing all the tools back into the spare tire compartment I was very upset and then take this even further this was to be a touchless appointment, I had to get out of my car, wait in line, then walk around outside the store with no place to sit other than walk around with everyone else who just showed up without an appointment. I am very disappointed and it's that time of the year when we have other automobiles to have new tires placed on them? I am wondering if my business is no longer valued after 28 years of customer loyalty.

I purchased tires for my daughter's vehicle. She attends college several hours away from me. She ran over road debris and got a flat tire. We had AAA tow her to the local Discount Tire. They took care of her and got her back on the road, just a small charge for labor. Makes a dad feel better that she was taken care of!

Visited the store in south Carolina for tire repair. Pulled up to free air service and the employees were looking at me like I was an alien. I thought I parked illegally the way they stared at me. Finally a guy raises his hand to tell me he will be with me shortly after him and the others made me feel like a fish in an aquarium. They did everything but put on an actual clown suit to clown me. So, the guy tells me my tire has a nail and to park and go inside. I go inside and this cashier is on the phone and looks at me and doesn't acknowledge me at all. Just ignores me and keep talking on the phone. Finally another one comes up, (l am tired from working all day, btw), he asks questions about the car, goes out then back in. Tells me they will have me fixed by 3. That was alright and fine but although everything was free, the way I was treated I will never return to them for anything. Free or not.

I had a blowout and needed to replace the two front tires. The rear tires had plenty of tread. Discount tire needed to order the exact tires to match the rear tires. I left the car in the care of Discount Tire. When I picked up my car, there was a giant scratch on the front bumper. I can’t say what happened. Nonetheless, I wish I never went to Discount Tire.

So, it was a very difficult day w/my tire damaged, a donut on my wheel... driving in Vegas and out of all the locations I chose to make an appointment at, it was the most amazing experience I could ever ask for as a customer. Now I've had a real good experience at Discount Tire in Bullhead City Arizona... Never ever expected the service to get even more excellent but it did and out of all places in Vegas. My salesperson "Randell P." Was so good to me it was like he came from my perspective of what it would be like for him if it was his car and his flat tire! He just got me w/out me telling him anything. He gave me a good deal, they were fast...

I walked over to a store for lunch, brought it back and by the time I unwrapped the salad, put my eggs and dressing in - they were done! Absolutely mindblowing! It does help if you arrive at least 20 minutes to take care of any unexpected issues and that was what I did. They are way busy and still found a way to serve me w/out waiting for a long time. I came out a complete winner, so happy, and they saved me a lot of money considering people are suffering financially b/c of Covid-19. Thank you so much - I will always remember this insane service.

I purchased a set tires for my son's pickup from "Discount" (laugh) Tire. The tires are $126 each, so 4 of them should be $504. By the time "Discount" Tire added all of their BS fees the total came to over $720+ for a set of Chinese tires. You can decide for yourself if this is fraud or just pure con-artist practices. But I can tell you that I will NEVER spend another dime at "Discount" (laugh) Tire. And I am going to dedicate much time to tell every person on planet Earth to stay away from "Discount" (laugh) Tire. All of my tire business will go back to mom and pop tire shops.

Well, the name says "Discount". Don't believe it. I contacted 2 shops before this one and the prices are quite similar. Due to Covid restrictions, some methods had to be changed. I arrived, got seen after 15 min. Then the quote. Again, I wasn't surprised, but felt that they should have been 10-15% below quotes I had gotten. So, they got to me after 90 min. Changed two tires (sidewall damaged one and the spare was 10+ years old. Not safe!). But what my biggest disappointment was, was they didn't have a clue about replacing the spare tire. They didn't come to me and ask, they simply started trying to figure out the way to do it.

I had researched and had instructions before even starting the process. The kids didn't have a clue. I showed one where the drop shaft was, he couldn't see it. Knowing that I'd have to spend another hour there teaching, I passed, had them toss the tire in and left. I'll go deal with another company that doesn't have a fake name to lure people in, and workers who want to learn to better themselves and show company pride.

I’ve Been shopping at Discount Tires almost exclusively for 30 years. In the spring I bought 2 tires there. I got the “certificates for repair, refund, or exchange” with them. Well, the tires turned out to be garbage. They both had lumps in the sidewalk from day one. I had to drive across the country which is why I replaced the 2 tires. I had only had one bad tire but I wanted a matched set. Anyway, the lumps got worse and I only made it most of the way before one blew up. Before that they had been shaking like crazy making it hard to drive. I put 2 new tires on so I again had a matched set. I brought the tire I still had back to discount after my trip. There were no discount tires on the east coast.

Long story short, they wouldn’t let me return that tire even though I had the certificate. The manager even told me that to tell the truth, those certificates don’t do anything for you. He doesn’t know why people buy them but most customers do. I know why, because they here sell them with the tires. I’m sure no one ever said, "Please charge an extra $150 on my order" for nothing. He said all tires at discount come with a warranty that’s the same whether you buy certificates or not. I’ve bought probably 100 of those by now. I feel so dumb. He said no matter the name, they don’t let you return tires unless you buy new tires at the same time. I don’t need new tires.

I asked about the ad they show for at least 30 years with the old lady throwing a tire through the window. It says if you’re ever unsatisfied with a tire bring it back. He said he has never understood that ad either because that’s not their policy. I don’t like being lied to, especially if it’s systemic, planned, and repetitive. Discount Tire’s business plan is to lie and cheat customers whenever possible. I will never return there. I will stop recommending them like I’ve done for decades. I will warn whoever I can to never go there. It’s time to cancel Discount Tires. Goodbye.

I search for a couple of days online and via phone looking for a set of decent all season tires which handle well in snow. Also looked at a tire which offered a long tread warranty and found it in a General tire. We had first went with a local big box store who has a tire service center but due to being told wrong info about how well the tire we were sold would handle in snow, wet conditions and we later found out on consumer reports and customers' reviews that this tire was not very good in snow we canceled the order and found a much better set with Discount tire.

We did buy Certificates which will be honored after 3 years per the manager and tire geeks in garage and I also contacted the corporate office to run the extension on the years past them and to keep their customers happy I was told per Cooper and Jerrad at the store they will work with customers up to 6 years to replace worn out tires in order to keep their customers happy and keep coming back, now that is a good company but time will tell if they are being honest about the extension on warranty or not, I had them write the extension and sign their name on my receipts. Clean showroom, waiting area, no coffee or water due to Covid I guess. Staff was very helpful, knowledgeable. Very busy place.

For the 2nd or 3rd time I went to Discount Tire in Baytown. At this time I was deceived by a seller. I ask 4 Yokohama tires and he convinced me about the Continental tires... Until there all good. I agreed and at the end later I found he sold me service that I don't ask for. A charge that was supposed to be 480 dollars went to 616 dollars. If your relatives are older like me don't let them go by themselves in this shop in Baytown. Can be this guy will attend them and they will finish with a big bill like me. He show me something and start to speak faster and a kind louder. Is a strategy used with older people or don't have plenty knowledge of the language. Well was paid, he won. But my family and me will not go there anymore. My church most of us are older than 70... I warning them also. Don't allow someone in your family older go by herself. Is sad the quality this business is coming down. Always have that person to tell you to look your receipt...

I had to buy new wheels because my old ones were chewing up my tires. I went to Discount Tire as I had bought my tires there. They replaced my wheels but took my hubcaps, said they "lost" them when I went to get my vehicle, then said they would provide replacement hubcaps but when I went there a 2nd time, they told me to go to Auto Zone or Walmart to buy hubcaps. I told them that I did not intend to "gift" my old hubcaps to them. It is clear that they kept my hubcaps and probably sold them on the internet. And my wheels are still losing air every day, so it was a waste of money. Will not return to this store ever again.

I discovered Discount Tires 4 years ago after a very bad service experience at Costco tire shops. I have found their pricing in subsequent tire set replacement to be overall less expensive, many times by hundreds of dollars, than any other major retailer/wholesale club. No attempt to up-sale but rather informed recommendations based on your car and driving needs.

The dedication to onsite service excellence, follow up reminders for rotations, seasonal suggestions, free anytime pressure checking to be far and away better than anything I have experienced in the past (owning cars for 60 plus years that a lot of experience). Most impressive is the staff from the front counter to the technicians. The locations are clean, bright and consumer friendly. Last week was the 4th set of tires, multiple cars and grandchildren gifts, I will recommend without hesitation this company.

Website purchase stated interaction with staff would be contactless. Upon arrival found not to be truthful. North Spokane, WA branch ignoring social distancing while interacting with clients. One employee busy interacting with clients without wearing a State required face mask. In my opinion; disgusting, illegal and dangerous behavior!

Checked in at 8:43am to buy 4 new tires. I was told there were 2 people in front of me and I should be done by about 9:20am. After waiting in the parking lot and seeing other cars arrive after me & go in ahead of me, at 9:45 I went inside and asked how much longer it was going to be. I was the told there were now 3 people in front of me & I would just have to wait. At that point I told them that I wanted my money back & that I would go purchase tires somewhere else. As soon as I said that I was magically put next in line. I have been buying my tires at Discount Tire for many years and never had a problem like this. Their customer service has gone from excellent to terrible. I will be buying my tires somewhere else from now on.

I asked what it would cost to fix a leaky tire. They said it is FREE. I made an appointment and was there the next day. They pulled the tire and told me the tire was not repairable.. I told them to put the tire back and I will leave. They said NO. They said they could not let me leave with that tire. I asked for the corporate number and told them about my lawyer.. The manager said he would put on a loaner or something. I finally got my car back and I took my old tire also! There was a lot of small black pieces in the old tire and I was told later that the pieces were not from my tire.. The free tire repair is just another scam to MAKE you buy tires..

Escalated to regional support. They offered replacement of both OEM tires or aftermarket wheelset of equal or less value. They were very professional and gave all indication they would address the innapropriate attitude of employee I had interaction with, and commitment they would use this as a training opportunity for the technician to set him up for success.

Had Alcoa TN location replace original tires on my 2016 Ram on 8/25/20. On returning to work I discovered that two wheels had been significantly damaged by the tire change machine. One wheel had a 1-inch pc missing and a gauge on the opposing side. Another rim had a 3-inch long crack and hanging. (Chrome clad OEM wheels that retail for over $400 each).

This is a one owner truck with 22k miles and has never had so much as a stone chip. Imagine my frustration. I called the location manager and all I got was, "Sent me a picture so I can talk with the tech." Not an apology, a statement that they would fix their damage or explanation as to how it happened. Only a glib comment that wheels get brittle over time. It's a 3 yr old truck. I unfortunately see small claims court in my near future. This location has a significant training issue, and no system to check quality of work. My advice spend a few more dollars on a tire and deal with a reputable establishment.

I own a 2016 Toyota RAV4, which I have been buying the tire for this vehicle from Discount Tire located 1550 S.Friendswood DR., Friendswood, TX. I noticed earlier this year that there was vibration going on after I had purchased a set of tires from this same location. I went back in to have them recheck the balancing of the tires and they the balancing was fine. The person at the store said that the problem was my car and not the tires even tho the problem didn't start until the new tires were put on my car. Well my wife and I took a road to go visit my brother in Madison, AL and took my RAV4 into a Discount Tire store in Madison. I explained to the manager of the store in Madison what was going on with the vibration and he ask me if we could go for test ride and we did and when we arrived back at the store, he suggested that he would start with rebalancing the all four tires to see if that would make a difference.

Well after the rebalancing of the tires, he admitted that the tires needed be balanced and yes that did solve the vibration that we were feeling. Now on to the NEXT one as of today Friday 8/21/2020. I got on (Discount Tire) website last night and made an appt. for this morning at 8:30am. I printed out my appt. information which I took with me. This vehicle is my wife"s car and when I drove the car yesterday, I noticed a lot of vibration and rumbling noise in the front tires. When I arrived at the store they want you to stay in your while they start asking you questions about why you have come. So as this person is asking me questions< I notice the same information is on the sheet that I had printed out, so I said maybe this sheet will help. He took the sheet and finished getting the info he needed. Then about 25 minutes later a second person showed up with his gage to determine the condition of the tires.

The reason for my visit was to determine simply what was causing the vibration and rumbling on the front tires. All these tires have the road hazard warranty on them. I simply wanted to focus on the front two tires to see if the vibration coming from the car or the tires. The guy that came out with gauge determined that tires in the tires on the front were fine but the tires that were on the rear were definitely bad because the outside 1.5 inch edge was bald. Him and I spent the next :20 minutes going round and round what he recommended that I do, not doing what I wanted. He was sure that if I would just do what he suggested that really the best which meant buy two new tires. He really just wanted me to shut up and tell him, "Just do whatever you want."

An hour later, I saw that I had a bent rim which I purchased from Discount Tire, I still had the rumbling and vibration which I dropped the car off at my mechanic for them to determine if they could determine what the problem is. One thing I have realized through this is when there is a GOOD manager at the store then you typically will get real good service. This Discount store at 1550 S. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX. 77546-4832 customer service is very poor, I will NOT be returning to this store.

P.S., While I was in the store waiting, a girl who work there came rolling a tire through the waiting area to an older gentleman to advise him that they could service that tire because of the condition of the tire, wow really, needless to say he was pissed, he told her to put the tire back on the truck an he would take his business somewhere else. The manager at the Madison, AL. was the type of manager I remembered back years ago that ran the Discount Stores. I think that I have only written about 3 reviews my whole life and I am 64. I think it's time to go to the competition. I honestly can't give this store even 1 star but I can will give them an F-

I took my car in to get this free tire rotation and the guy lied about my tread depth to sell me more tires. I went back out to check the tires myself, the tires were fine. He even tried to take my better tires, said they were the worst ones and put the bad tires on the front.

Bought 4 tires and was highly pressured to purchase an additional coverage to cover future repairs if needed. Would have cost as much as 4 tire repairs at Walmart and DT claims they do free tire repairs anyway. Thought that was shady. Came back a year later for my complimentary tire rotation and they informed me a tire repair I had done (out of town) was illegal and they could not put the tire back on the vehicle and I had to buy a new tire to get my vehicle back. Final and third strike is when I went back in for a free tire repair... nail in the tire tread.

I was told It was not repairable and would have to buy another new tire. I asked them to put the bad tire back in the trunk and was given another story about how some heat damage to the inner tire prevented them from being able to add the tire to the rim and they tried to keep my damaged tire. I demanded my tire back and took it to another local auto shop who was able to fix it and get me on my way. This woman will never return to DT.

But it's been months and now every time I try talking to them about they act like they don't have a clue what I'm talking about. I don't have time to keep going back, or calling them, to get this taken care. I am very dissatisfied with their customer service.

The operator refused to take a payment over the phone even though I wanted to pay the bill in full. Now I have to return to the store to pay off this credit card since I do not have the mail in information. I requested that they cancel this card and I plan to take my business elsewhere where they appreciate their customers. Do not shop at Discount Tire or use this Synchrony credit card. They are both dishonest ripoffs.

On my first time came for tire valve replacement and they offered free replacement. That was great thing. But one month later the same tire pressure sensor stopped working. I couldn't blame them because it was not damaged soon after replacement. Yesterday, I went to the same store for air pressure sensor replacement and spent $65. I went back home directly after that. This morning, I went out on highway and lost all that tire's air on the half way. I have a small air pump to try to put in air, but it did not work at all. A nice guy stopped to help me and fixed the problem for me. It's actually very simple, just pull out the valve hard to the right position. This Discount Tire store did not do that properly after put the valve back on the tire (did they do that by purpose? I don't know).

Now it reminded me that the valve was always leaking when I tried to pump in air after my first time replaced the valve. It has a slow leaking and much harder to pump in air at that time. And that could be the reason of air pressure sensor damage. Lesson---Free service may cost you much much more later, even you and your family's lives.

I called Discount Tire in Benton, AR and scheduled an appointment for 9:30AM on July 1, 2020. I had made arrangements to purchase and have installed, 4 tires for my truck. I got there about 15 minutes early and was told that my wait time would 2.5 hours (minimum) because of all the walk-ins. They said, "we are really busy today!" Well then, why book an appointment if they are not going to honor their commitment? This Discount Tire store is obviously mis-managed and does not know how to treat repeat customers like myself properly. I did not wait. I found a local tire shop in my area and had the work done, with a scheduled appointment that really held true. I will not be returning to Discount Tire in Benton, AR and I will advise all my friends to use the local tire shop in my area for their tire needs. Actually, buying tires from TireRack.com and having them installed by a local shop would have saved me both time and money.

I bought tires 2 weeks ago to the day. I have been back 7 or 8 times cause the tires hop as I drive. They have done everything to try and fix and today they put 4 different tires on and it still does this. They say my rims are not bent and I had to take it to another garage and have them write something saying my tires were bad before they exchanged them. These tires ride tougher than the others and I still have the hop in it as I’m driving. I will never use them again. This was my first experience with them but will be the last after they fix this. Every time I’ve went back they say it’s the road force or needed more weights. I believe that both those should have been done the first time not every time I went there. Beware and stay away from these people.

I replaced a flat tire with a new one at Discount Tire today. I have 3 issues with the service I received: (1) The pressure on the new tire was less than the minimum recommended by my car maker and I got a warning of low pressure from my car as I was driving home, had to refill it myself. (2) The new tire was placed on a front wheel (where the flat tire was) but when I looked at the receipt from Discount Tire, it has printed on it the following recommendation: "When replacing less than four tires, Discount Tire recommends that the new tires will be placed on the rear axle of the vehicle". Which means they didn't follow their own recommendation. (3) When I called to speak to the manager I was placed on hold indefinitely. (This review replaces a shorter version I wrote a few hours ago today.)

I went over to change my tires to some other rims I had bought. Each set of rims had TPMS sensors in them... Upon looking at my old rims after the change they had completely and purposefully broken off the TPMS sensors and taken them. I did not authorize this in any way and paid more than 100$ for them. Called and they refused to accept that I didn't authorize it.... Very disappointed with service.

Spoke with store manager Ryan ** at the Crestwood, IL location for 2 new tires. He only had 1 tire available and understood that it was urgent to replace them being an essential worker it's necessary that I get to work safely. So he referred me to the Westmont, IL store, where 2 tires were available. I made an appointment the next day and was serviced within 30min. They provided safe and efficient service. As I left I noticed one of weights adhesive had not adhered to the wheel. I spoke with the manager Jason, who was very professional and who personally checked each wheel. Very pleased from start to finish. Thank you Discount Tire.

Purchased a set of Michelin tires for my Ranger at the Hollywood Park Discount store in San Antonio little over a year ago. Rear tire had nail in it so I sent my grandson with the truck. He was told they couldn't find any record of the tires being purchased there, but would fix the flat... with the "warning" that if they could find anything else wrong with the tire they would not put it back on the truck and he would have to purchase a new tire. This scare/threat tactic is supposedly to assure safety for the customer but sounds a whole lot more like an unethical sleazy sales tactic. I called the manager and was given the same poor answer. Clearly they don't honor their warranties and their sales tactics are low level and questionable. I will never again purchase tires from Discount. Sam's Club has much higher standards and far better customer care.

Brought in my tractor tires with new tires to be put on. First I was not noticed of the store being temporary closed until the next day when I was about to go pick them up. I had already paid in advance. One of the tires did not hold air, when I put it on my tractor. The other slowly started losing air. Took them to be checked and I was told they were too rusty to work with. So I went online at Tractor Supply and bought new rims. Discount Tire put the tires on the new rims.

I took the wheels to a different place to be looked at.

One of my tires had a hole in it which was overlooked by discount tire. This other place I took the old rim to I bought a new tire for it and now the old rusty rim is holding air. I'm really disappointed in discount tires because they did not take the time to work with me at fixing my tires. Plus now I'm out of 363.18 for new rims that I didn't need to purchase. I would like to be reimbursed that money. Thanks.

5/21/20. These folks are great. Super fast, friendly and competent service. You can even make an appt! I found set of same tires, online, at a lower price, and these folks honored the lower price with no questions! Of course, you have to show the link for price verification - hey, that's only fair! I drove the car off lot, took onto rough interstate and the tires/balance was excellent. No issues. These folks seem genuine, offer a really good deal for an extended warranty, best I've ever seen. Anyway, I'd shop around for sure, but, to get the fastest, friendly and competent service, I'd give Discount Tire a second look. Feel free to email me, **, I'm a real customer and would be glad to answer any questions---- I'm this impressed.

Ridiculous. I spent 5 hours here and bought an extra TWO tires for no reason. I almost wrecked my car twice because of them. And they kept trying to tell me the car was ok and it's "normal for new tires to make your car turn sometimes until they break in" ... Are you serious? I'm so glad I know about cars. I told the manager check the tire pressure after the fourth time I drove off. "Oh it's good they're all balanced." Nope. Drive back. I told them it needs to be at a minimum of 38, it's a sports car and is supposed to actually be 50. "Ok it's good." Drive off. Nope. I watched him this time. It was at 33.

After I had told him already.. I was so mad. "Oh it's torque steering." Really? Because torque steering starts happening after 57k miles right? I'm not dumb. I know what that is. Finally, they took off all the tires and ACTUALLY rebalanced them with the right weights and psi and it worked. After they had put it at 37. He just couldn't do what I said and put 38. Like, really? Oh! By the way, they stripped my stud on the first attempt.

I was switching snow tires to regular tires. When I got the van back there were no tires in the back. They gave me a story about being bad. Two short seasons on brand new Blizzaks. How dare they!? I made them put them in the van but they said they would not put on two of them. I drove these tires in the snow and highway and they are awesome traction. I think using 25% of tread left as a rule to determine a tire is bad is just wrong. What else do you own that you only use 75% of it? Also it depends on age and uneven wear etc. These tires looked like new on the sidewalls but had obvious even wear on the tread. They definitely can last another winter. Not going back. Discount Tire is really awful.

Today, I became a dissatisfied Discount Tire customer. Be honest about your estimate of time. It's Saturday, I expect you to be busy. What I don't expect is when I arrive to pick up my vehicle, an additional half hour past the 1:40 minute estimated time, is to be treated so rudely by Joey. We've bought more than a dozen sets of tires from Discount and had spent more than $1000 today. Joey, who said outloud while processing my payment today "I'm bagging them all today." Well I won't be bagged again with terrible customer service.

1st visit: I ordered 4 new tires for my Audi and went to the Discount Tire to have them fitted. - They broke the neck of a tire pressure monitor and so fitted an aftermarket one.

2nd visit: I had to return again for the TPM to be replaced, which they did, but then they broke the wheel trim, so they ordered a new trim.
3rd visit: The TPMS had a fault that needed resetting that they did not do, but I returned for a fix. Sloppy.
4th visit: to pick up the wheel trim - wrong color, so they asked me to research and get the right one. They ordered 3 more to match.

5th visit: to pick up additional wheel trims.

Not ONCE did they apologize, discount tire is 40 miles round trip. The TPMS valve gets broken by a careless tech that pulls at the valve stalk thinking it's rubber. The wheel trim gets broke because the tech couldn't be bothered to use the correct tool. One of the service managers kept saying "we are professionals" when I asked for road force balance results and so this just added to the annoyance. So this cost discount tire: 2 TPMS - an Audi and aftermarket one -$ 120, 4 new wheel covers @$90 each $360, so in total ~ $500, plus their time to do the work over. So that's a dent into their profit. It cost me 4 additional trips and close to 8 weeks of to and fro.

Carelessness is an attitude and culture problem - do you trust them to lift YOUR car on the correct lifting points. Incompetence comes through lack of knowledge and tool training. Quality is about pride in one's work and how the repair center is managed. Not once did anyone apologize. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the Discount Tire Store in Solana Beach, San Diego.

Why not discount the 10% Black Friday sale by taking the 10% off of the purchase price???? I finally, after complaining to the local store, got the debit card almost three months after my purchase. I made the mistake of trying to use their web site to activate the card and to find out how much was on it, what a frustrating experience of trying to navigate all of the advertisements. Tried to call their customer service line...VRU only. Finally got the card activated by using the phone number on the back of the card, tried to use it again and it would not work. Why in the world do you put your customers through this? I loved Discount Tire until this experience...NOT ANYMORE!

I have been doing business with Discount Tire for several years. I have many cars and believe in good rubber!! I have finally given up on Discount Tire. They are full of fluff. The last two sets of tires (and wheels) I purchased had pitiful mistakes that caused me to have to come back to be addressed. Tires so out of balance, I'm not sure if they were ever balanced to begin with. And to boot, I had to wait more than two hours to FIX THEIR problem. Don't be fooled by the fluff....they treat real customers horribly!! NEVER AGAIN!! I believe the only power we have as consumers is where we spend our money....Discount Tires will never get another dollar from me or my family. I hope that people who read this review will find another place to spend their money!!

I felt as if he didn't want to be there and that I annoyed him by being there. Never ask for the key to go look at my tire and mileage. He asked me to follow him outside to show him the tire and asked me how many miles was on the car instead of looking himself. I had to do it for him. The rep told me it would only be 45 minutes so I decided to wait. It’s been 2 hours now as I have watched at least 7 cars and trucks come and go with 4 new tires each. I have inquired 2 times as to how much longer and 20 minutes ago I was given an apology and said it would be only 15 more minutes. REALLY FRUSTRATED! On 12/18/2019, I visited Discount Tire #1757 in Little Elm, TX to have a new tire installed on the rear of my C7 Corvette Z06 Z07. In the process of attempting to mount the tire, the employees at this establishment damaged a 20"x12" rim on the rear driver's side of my vehicle. On the morning of 12/19/2019, I spoke with the store manager, Tad. Tad stated, "Well, I was here yesterday, and we took pictures of the damage on your wheel before we began work on your car. We were going to tell you that your wheel was damaged, but you were on the phone, so we couldn't tell you." The store manager also attempted to insinuate that my wheel was damaged due to "curb rash" that I must have incurred on my own.

This is a blatant lie. This car retailed for just shy of $100k - needless to say, I am extremely careful and meticulous about this vehicle in every way. Automobiles are not only a passion of mine, they are a form of self-expression for me. All things considered, I know about each and every inch of my Corvette. Rarely do I drive this car due to my work extraordinary schedule. Furthermore, it is only highway-driven and garage-stored.

As for the store manager's accusation that I must have hit a curb sustaining "curb rash" prior to visiting Discount Tire, I will say this: the wheel that was damaged is on the driver side rear solely. Apparently, the store manager did not think about the fact that we drive on the right side of the roadway in this country and also tend to sit and exit our vehicles on the left side before he made the allegation that the damaged wheel was due to "curb rash". If that was the case, the damage would likely be on the passenger side of the car and likely affect the front or both the front and rear wheels on the passenger side. Again, the damage was sustained on the driver side rear wheel only.

There was absolutely no damage on this car until it was grossly mishandled by Tad and his subordinates at Discount Tire in Little Elm. Specifically, the high-gloss paint was scratched off the aluminum wheel. Not only was the perimeter of the wheel scratched, but also the inner radius of the wheel was scratched as well. Additionally, in some areas the damage exceeded the high-gloss finish of the wheel, therefore, the aluminum incurred corrosion.

The store manager, Tad, refused to take accountability for the actions of him and his subordinates, so I have had no choice, but to pay to replace the wheel that Discount Tire has ruined. I have contacted Discount Tire Regional Offices and a claim has been filed, however, I have yet to receive any substantial result or follow-up to the claim that was filed. Simply put, do not take any vehicle that you care about to Discount Tire unless you are okay with your vehicle potentially being damaged. They completely lack respect, honesty, class, accountability, and professionalism - they do not deserve the patronage.

Yes I went to the Discount Tire on Rt16 in Saint Augustine FL. The special was a lousy $10 off 4 tires, HA.. I ordered online I don't live that close. I get there the 2 tires I ordered were NOT THERE & WAS TOLD THE SUBSTITUTES WAS ALL THEY HAD?? I told them I ordered online & was told to come in. Problem #2 I was mad & was going to walk out but was told that these other be tires were Better? Well the guy comes out & does (3) measurements on each tire & was told I could get my 2 tires (I was trying them out after the switch).

Well anyway after being assured by Guy#1 I could get 2 tires with no problem!! Well the mechanic comes to me & says I have to get 4 tires? After me telling him the guy did 3 measurements on each tire & assured me I didn't have any problem. After almost walking me out the mechanic find the job (WOW WHAT A BAIT & SWITCH I EVER ENDURED).

The owner did call me and offer my other 2 tires for free. I told him I went to Walmart & got better price & no lies given to me. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS DISCOUNT TIRE STORES EVER AGAIN!! If you read this store that plays Bait & Switch on a disabled veteran which I told every employee at that store was the reason be of getting 2 tires at a time is a Store veteran or not should have THAT HAPPEN TO THEM!!!

I dropped my car off at Discount Tire on Oak and Scottsdale Rd to fix a flat and rotate all 4 tires. Upon pick up I was told that the flat tire was patched instead of replaced and I was all set to go. When I went out to my car I noticed that one of my aftermarket wheels were scratched and that it was a brand new tire put on versus my old tire patched. I went back inside and talked to Jake (who wasn't the one who originally helped me from the beginning) and he quickly apologized for the confusion and took full responsibility for someone else's mistake and rectified the issue by getting my wheel resurfaced the next day free of charge. Jake showed that his goal was to help me as a customer, he took ownership of a mistake that he didn't cause and did everything in his power to make it right. He didn't argue, blame anyone else, he did it all with a smile.

Normally when the tire is not fixable, under warranty, and needs replacing I pay the cost of the new tires warranty which is 50 bucks, due to the inconvenience and confusion Jake didn't charge me for the new tire and made sure that the new tire had a warranty before I left the shop. When I had my wheel resurfaced I asked Jake if the company he used could fix another wheel that I had road rashed a year prior and I would pay for that wheel separately. Jake quickly called and made it happen. I was thoroughly impressed with Jake's excellent customer service and wanted to let someone know how valuable of an employee he is to Discount Tire.

I can't tell you how much I appreciated his help, positive attitude, and again his outstanding customer service. More people in this customer service industry need to be like Jake, he is awesome!!! Jake made sure I didn't leave with a scratched wheel and a tire that didn't have a warranty. Somebody give this guy a raise because he highly exceeded my expectations and put the customer first!

First of all, I don’t have any problem with the Apple Valley Discount Tire location or the employees. I would like to say that the staff is great and I have been doing business with them for a long time. This is about the Corporate side Greed and the Rebate Promotions they fail to honor. I went into Apple Valley Discount Tire for tires (what else) and the earliest appointment they had was weeks out, the day after Black Friday, so I took it. This had the added bonus of being able to get the Black Friday Discount, or so I thought. Promotion Name: BLACK FRIDAY 10% Mail-In Rebate 11-28-2019 to 12-01-2019 – 87192.

I was in on the 30th, submitted the rebate on the 1st, and then on the 5th receive an email stating that I was denied because: “Your purchase was made outside of the promotional period.”. Well my receipt… you know, that piece of paper thing they give you after you pay… with the purchase information needed for the above rebate… says I was in on the 30th well within the promotional period… so WTF! The thing is, if you really want to rip me off for 10% of the bill or around $80 give or take, then keep it. I can go elsewhere in the future, and you can’t buy advertising like this… It has to be earned… All the single stars $80 bucks can buy.

Discount Tire has always been five stars with me, but this last experience was quite different. I went in to get a set of Michelin Tires. I called and ensured that the desired tires were in stock, and then scheduled for the next day. I arrived and they had no record of this. They then said the tires that I wanted were not available and "conned" me into a different tire as I needed the tires that day. Looking back, I wish I'd gone elsewhere. I'm frustrated that I was assured that the tires were in stock only to arrive and find that they weren't. Mr. ** noted this conversation never took place, though I recorded it.

I feel they took advantage of our situation and sold us low quality tires vs. the preferred Michelin that I went there to get. I won't go back to Discount Tire unless I have a lot of time to wait for my preferred tires and get it in writing that they'll be there when I arrive to get them put on. I also won't deal with Mr. ** again, but would choose another associate. Customer service here has slipped tremendously in the past few years.

I went in for a flat repair at 8 am and was told I would be out by 9:45. We sat there and watched everyone that came after us come and go..not everyone had an appointment. Ask for my keys and watched as he pulled from the very back of the pile all because I didn't purchase tires. Keep in mind the flat was purchased from them..get better service at Walmart..

We bought a set of tires for a Subaru Outback from Discount Tire. They were selling Geostar tires that fit the car so we bought a set which I mounted and balanced (ASE Certified Mechanic trained in dynamic balancing). In less than 6 months two tires failed from tire separation and were removed before they blew out. The third tire had the entire sidewall blow out when my wife was driving along a rural highway. Luckily, she was able to control the car. I removed the fourth tire before we had it fail. I emailed Discount Tire and got a reply to "call Customer Service". My feeling is that I already made contact and explained the situation. I told Discount Tire that the Geostar tires were not just bad, but dangerous. I have bought many tires from Discount Tires Direct and from their retail stores. Poor tires and poor customer service mean that Discount Tire just lost a customer.

Smokey point Arlington discount will sell you new tires, but they are always booked out 2-3 weeks for free balancing and rotations. I have tried to get my tires rotated 3 times and all 3 times I've done it myself. And now after rotating the tires this last time one of the front tires are out of balance, and I had to go to Les Schwab for a timely fix.

My family had always purchased tires from the Discount tires. My brother took his car to the discount tires for balance and rotation and was refused the service and sent away. He left the country to work overseas for several years, the car was garaged for storage. Just because the tires (which were purchased from the Discount Tires) were older than 6 years now, even they had only 15,000 miles on them, never exposed to extreme weather and temperature. They would not even rotate the tires.

I understand if a tire been in extreme heat and cold climate, which made the tire unsafe to work with but, these tires were taken care of with extreme low mileage. The rep started to want to sell me new set of tires, why? So we put more into the landfill? Then he said the best them can do is to check the tire pressure. The kid checking the tire pressure for me (can tough the compressor myself), wanted to put lower pressure than what's marked on the sticker on the door jam. He claimed if the stick reads 32 PSI then we should keep the tires at lower PSI when they are hot??? I questioned that wisdom, but he was very firm on what he was told to do. I asked him to put in 35 PSI at 3 PSI over the recommended pressure since the tires were warm after being driven.

I will not go back to that franchise in the future. I could understand the concerns for their workers but if they are scared to even rotate the tires (not asking them to dismount it), How the heck would a service station service all those cars and truck on the roadway with tires older than 6 years? The guy even walked me over to a floor sign and pointed out why they won't "touch" the tires because it's aged beyond 6 years.... My goodness, have to have these kids tell me what's right and wrong. If they won't even rotate the tires after the tires had the 6th birthday.... they can keep all the new ones because my family won't be going back there in the future.

Michelin set chocolate walls. 10/5/19 estimate appointment 45 minutes took 2.15 hours but it's ok. Been going there 21 years. But to tell me you don't clean your new tires before you send to road that is wrong. Manager said "Go to car wash. We only shine them. We don't clean them." Dah you already shine the brown wall came back. Long story short it has not been 30 days. Clean them well or replace them or bad reviews going to be all over the net and will try dispute.

Quick service. I had a flat in one of my tires before work and decided to check which one using a gauge. Proceeded in going to the gas station and filled it up until morning since I work the night shift. I went to DT and they charge me $160/tire for Michelin Defenders T+H. Prior, I had them inspect the car because I already inspected it and found that there was dry rot and a nail on both the rear tires.

One tire needed to be replaced because of inner shoulder puncture, while the other is normal tread repair. My decision to buy new tires is because I had another tire flat when I was in Michigan and it was plugged. Had a bad experience with tire plugs because when the weather is hot, hissing noise comes from the newly plugged unless the weather was cold, which sealed it. That would mean that 3 of my tires would have been plugged with 28,000 miles on them. I proceeded in buying four tires for $950 (+ tax, warranty, etc.) in North Austin. I'm astounded that the new tires has a comfort ride vs. my old tires which were Dunlop Signature CS.

I just wanted to point out that Drayton at Discount Tires, Tega Cay, SC 29708 was most helpful, knowledgeable, and trustworthy with helping me today. I called before-hand because my low air pressure in the tires light went on a few days ago, though I had replaced four tires recently. Honestly, this low pressure in the tires light has gone on and off ever since I got it, and I just would take it into the dealer and they would re-set it. This time, I decided to try a new place, Discount Tires, for getting all my tires replaced, and I thought they did a fantastic job, for the tire selection for my particular make and model of car was spot on. Drayton said they broke the sensor (I think it was likely shoddy from when I purchased the car) and that he offered to fix it right away.

15 minutes later, free of charge, I had the issue fixed and the light was off. The main thing was that the tire pressure was indeed just fine. I appreciate that they were concerned for my safety and asked me to bring the car in promptly. What a fantastic business, in that they were also concerned that they did a proper job in replacing all the tires! Thank you Drayton. I hope to come to Discount Tires as much as possible.

I called around and went to specialty shops where I was told due to the new 2019 GMC pickups the caliper was different and very few wheels would fit them. Right then and there I stopped shopping online, Discount Tire came up on Google search, We went through what they had to offer, picked out a set of four ($1200) and I called, I was Guaranteed they would test fit, then install and test drive. Annette made an appointment, she was finally helped an hour after her appointment time, 2 hours later they gave her the keys and she paid. Without knowing I called down several times wanting to purchase a fifth wheel in case one was damaged. Lo and behold these wheels are discontinued. NICE.

Well that Saturday I went to drive it, when backing up and turning the tires rubbed and tore off my factory mud flaps. I called multiple times. ** in fact was his name and even e-ailed. Never a response. I went into the store, the person who helped Annette seen us and turned to I am guessing ** where he left the room and yes you got it, nope he is off today and we must talk to ** on this issue. Will I ever go to or recommend Discount Tire again?

I've been a good supporter of Discount Tire over the years, mostly in the Phoenix Metro area and recently in Show Low, AZ, as they opened a store there a few years back. This morning about 8:15 AM I call and speak to Eric. I ask for an appointment to get tires rotated and balanced. He says, "Bring it in right now." I say I'm an hour away. He gives me the runaround to schedule an appointment later this morning or this afternoon. I jump to it and get there to work with Will. He sets me up and tells me he'll take care of me. Good, I check the time and it's 9:35 AM.

At 11:30 I'm frustrated and pissed. No communication. I look and my Jeep is parked in the same spot. I stand at the counter until 11:40 when Will finally acknowledges me and says I'm next after the Escalade. I say, "No, give me the keys. I'm done and have to leave." On the way out he asks if I would like to schedule an appointment! "Here's the deal, buy a set of tires from us and we include free balance and rotation every 7,000 miles (used to be 5,000 miles) for the life of the tires."

They don't tell you upfront that the tire rotation and balance is going to take 2-3 hours. The stores in the valley were always prompt and communicated. This isn't the first time the Show Low store has disappointed me with their lack of customer service or follow-up with their deal. They are busy, so as long as new customers are coming through the doors they will not feel the sting of repeat customers leaving. Until their service improves I'll be off to shop and get service from another dealer.

I first visited Discount Tire a few months ago to get new tires. They surprised me with great service, tires, and prices. This morning I made an unplanned visit on the way to work because of a nearly flat tire. It was early and they already had several customers waiting. They opened 5 minutes after I got there and had enough service reps to immediately take care of my problem. Because I was going to be late for work, they put my car in first. The tire was checked, patched, and tires rotated before I could even catch up on work emails (less than 15 min). And the best part was there was no charge. Granted I had the tire protection warranty, but not sure that it would've cost much or anything just for the plug.

The best part is that the person who serviced the tire came out, showed me the small piece of metal that had pierced the tire and reviewed everything with me. Her service was incredible as was the service rep who first helped and then later provided an update on my car. All I can say is WOW! It doesn't get much better than that. Discount Tire is Highly Recommended. -William

I have been a customer of Discount Tire for years now and on the 26th of August I had stopped in the main Street Mesa location around 11 am because I had a vibration coming from the front. I asked one of the workers to check it out. I suggested it feels like the tire pressure is low or the lug nuts aren't torqued down enough. Discount tire was the last people to touch my wheel. He put in air in the tires and I asked him again to check to make sure the wheel was torqued enough and he said it would be a 3 hour wait or longer and they were super busy but I could bring it to the Gilbert location if I still had a vibration.

About 2 miles away from the Gilbert road exit the vibration got really bad and then my car jerked to the left. Almost hit the divider. Thankful I was in the hov lane and was able to avoid hitting anything and had to limp my car off the copper exit and avoided getting hit.. I stopped and saw that 3 lug nuts came off and one wheel stud broke off. I immediately called this location (South Scottsdale) who did the work about 350 miles ago for my left front wheel being out of balance and they didn't seem to concerned about it but told me that the location nearest can handled it.. Had to get it towed to Subaru in Gilbert and they fixed the broken wheel studs and then went to the Gilbert location to have them try and resolve the issue. I had filed a claim for damages to my car and the tow / loss of use (20 days) and putting my life and the lives of others in danger, as well as my time I've wasted.

I talked to Jim in the claims Dept. Told him what had happened.. All he was concerned about was the bill I got from Subaru and the tow company. I sent him all the requested photos and invoices and brought up the whole putting my life in danger. He ended being out of the office until the 23rd. And he lies to me when he said he be in the office at 8:30 and he would touch base with me and his automated email said they same thing. And avoided that conversation as much as possible.

I got ahold of him on the following Monday after leaving a voicemail that he ignored but responded because of my email which he dismissed my concerns. Said they would pay for the damages. That was it. I got a check to cover Subaru and the tow company. I had to then go back to the Gilbert location for them to try and help me. Ended up finding out the wheel was damaged along with the rest of them because this location gouged and scratched my wheels too like Subaru stated as well as they put the messed up wheel on my car and said, "Don't drive on it unless you're bringing to discount tire" a couple miles from my place. Played phone tag with Jim. He still dismissed my concerns both via phone and email.

Ended up having to order a new wheel. Well that was discontinued and to find wheels in the size I had was very hard. Discount in Gilbert put a random wheel on my car but it wasn't the same spec as my other wheels so they just said they put it on there to get it home. All they did was cover my repairs all. Got me a rental car on Sept 4th for 6 days before I started my new job so my first day I had to return the rental car because discount tire didn't allow me to use it for longer. So for 14 days I wasn't able to drive anywhere unless I borrowed my girl's car.

I put calls into corporate with promises of speaking with this locations vp as well as Jim's boss but none of them called me and even refused to put me through to their voicemails when I called again. They just had Jim call me... Discount tires customer service is by far the worse of any company I've ever dealt with.. Long story short discount tire could of prevented all of this if they took 10 mins out of their day to make sure their customers' cars are safe. And could care less that their customers are truly taken care of. At least the Gilbert location is helping me out with getting my car back on the road. Guessing corporate was never give my messages but I'll keep leaving this review everywhere until they truly resolve this mess they created.

Email I sent to Jim Brandt in claims. "I want discount tires to cover the loss of time for the time I was without my car. I don't care you guys got me a rental car I couldn't even use for my first week of work because it was only for 6 days. You guys only covered 9 days at 20 dollars a day. That's a joke. The only reason I said "Yeah sure" when we talked because I was busy trying to find wheels for my car. And now I've had time to think about it since I just got the check. And what about covering my time dealing with you and having to be at Gilbert trying to sort all this out which is almost a total of 10 hours.

Considering a rental car is at least 35 a day and I have been without my car for 20 days now luckily Gilbert location was able to find wheels for my car and the only reason I had to order new ones mine was discontinued and you never even processed a claim for my other wheels for the scratches and such. And nor have you guys even compensated me for putting my life and others in danger which I said multiple times to you and you ignored that. So it's good to know that discount feels this headache and putting lives in danger your company including you have caused me is only worth 180 dollars (I'm not including the wheels because you guys didn't have a choice to replace them all).

I want to resolve this through you please before I seek legal advice. But I feel getting a lawyer involved will be the only way you guys will take me seriously. And I appreciate you completely ignoring the subject matter of my emails and our phone conversations and it goes to show discount tire really cares about its customers." Would love if corporate would really reach out me about this matter.

Discount Tire at 2623 W Braker Ln Austin, TX 78758. I had the most amazing experience at this store! The most remarkable thing about this store is its leadership/management. I had an extraordinarily difficult situation and management was willing to go over and above usual protocol to help get my daughter a tire. I will never forget that despite the fact that we were addressing a difficult situation, management made concessions out of the ordinary, saving my daughter from facing a Monday without a way to get to work. This store has MY business for the rest of my life! Thank you, ** and **! (Yes, there are two ** at the same store! And they are both extraordinary and wonderful!)

I purchased two tires from Discount in March 2018. I returned in Dec. 2018 to replace an additional tire. They were supposed to rotate tires at that time for warranty purposes but did not document the rotation. They are using that to claim my tire warranty invalid. With less than 2 yrs on my tires they are recommending 3 of my 4 tires to be replaced. I spent $750 on my three tires even getting the extended coverage. I will not be returning to them for service any longer. I always feel like they are taking advantage of my situation. Last time I went I waited 2.5 hours (45 min. past closing) for them to check my flat tire and ultimately put my spare tire on. So very disappointed in this company who in the past has been a leader in customer service. If you do decide to use discount tire please know the tire and cost you're willing to pay before entering because they have turned this business into a scam.

I brought in a 1980 Corvette for new wheels and tires. It was like watching the Three Stooges walking around and bumping into each other. No one knew how to balance or mount the wheels. It took them almost 3 hours to finish. Go anywhere but Discount Tire. Just a bunch nitwits that don't have a clue what they are doing.

Sent my brother and sister in law to Discount Tire in Lebanon store tn009 for a plug. Was shocked when they call me to say they are making them buy a whole new tire when all it needed was a plug patch whatever. Call the manager or salesman. Bruce gives me the runaround about safety and all this stuff that's wrong. I've been in and around tires and the business a while so I'm not buying it. They took advantage of my family members by preying on ignorance instead of just doing a plug. Even told me the tire was able to be plugged. But safety was the issue. Had I known about this prior would have gladly taken care of them before sending them to this store. Will not be back. If you know what you are getting into by all means give it a try but if you're a trusting person not very knowledgeable on the subject of tires, do not go. They will take you for a ride.

Recently (2 weeks ago) had my tires balanced and rotated free on lifetime tire service contract. No indications of tire condition noted. Fast forward 2 weeks one tire gets a nail, so my wife brings it to Long Beach store and is told she needs ALL NEW TIRES. They wouldnt repair the damaged tire, because it is an "Audi Quattro and all tire diameter must match". So they took over an hour to install the spare, which was like new and a much greater diameter than the one that was repairable. I had to pay another tire company to repair the tire and put on the car. Thanks Discount Tire, not for me any more.

I bought online a set of 4 Yokohamas (with warranty). They were promised to be ready in two days, and offered me to schedule the appointment for its installation. I went to the store as scheduled and after 15 mins looking for the tires they let me know they were not there, and that they were supposed to arrive later during the day via FEDEX. They asked me to come back next day. I told them I was going to be there at 8:30am next day. They said, "We will have them ready by the time you arrive."

I went next day, at 8:30am, another agent helped me and apologized for the inconvenience I had the day before and asked me to wait while they proceed with their job. After 10 mins he came back to tell me the tires have not arrived yet, and that they will arrive by noon, apologized again and told me the coworker who told me to come was not in today....very upsetting and disappointing. Definitely they do not care about their customers, and chew more than they can eat.

Discount Tire stores have sold me nothing but defective products and refuse to take them back for refund. On several occasions, employees have verbally abused me or attempted to assault me. Anyone in their right mind should never do business with Discount Tire. Big O Tires sells their franchises to former Discount Tire managers with poor management skills learned by managing bad Discount Tire stores, and sell worse products than Discount Tires.

I purchased tires online a week in advance and even called the store to verify 30 minutes before I arrived. When I did arrive they informed me they only had 3 of my tires and that they could install them and I could come back another day for the other. Now if I would have come in before pre purchasing these tires they would have told me that they cannot only install three tires in an attempt to sell me 4 for safety reasons. Though my safety is not a concern when they make the mistake. They had no resolution and just left me hanging. Thank you Discount Tire for wasting 2 hours of my time, I guess only your time is important. Long term tire buyer that will never be back.

One of the worst stores ever. No customer care. Zero customer care. Especially store number 86 Sugar Land Texas. NO more business will ever do with them. Will go to Costco tires. Wasting my time. To be there.

I had my tires rotated, and shortly after I started hearing knocking sounds and vibrations near the front left wheel. The sounds and vibrations got progressively worse, so I decided to take it to my mechanic. On the way to the mechanic, the front left wheel came off my vehicle while I was doing 55MPH on a highway. The wheel crossed 4 lanes of traffic to the other side of the highway. I filed a claim with Discount Tire and Michael **, a Senior Claims Specialist, denied the claim. They didn't even offer to pay my deductible when I later filed a damage claim with my own insurance. In addition to the $5000+ in damages, the body shop found that the lug holes were no longer round, but oval due to the abnormal wear created by the loose lug nuts, and the wheel itself had to be replaced because it was no longer round. I am fortunate nobody was hurt by the rogue wheel. The last person to touch that wheel was the Discount Tire rep who rotated them.

A little over a year ago I purchased 4 new tires that Discount Tire rep recommended to me. Now, I’m having to replace all of them. The rep told me they know these tires do not last even half of the mileage warranty. Why on earth did they sell them to me then? I have been a loyal Discount Tire customer but not anymore. I no longer recommend them at all.

I have been a Discount Tire customer in Colo & AZ. Bought 4 new Bridgestone RFT Tires from DT ($955) even though the tires on the car were brand new, just not RF Tires though. They were installed on June 8th at 430 PM. Checked the air pressure since they usually never inflate any of my tires to the proper amount. Again, DT inflated all 4 of my tires to 35 lbs, the sticker on the inside door jam states 30 lbs. As I was deflating the tires to the correct amount, I noticed my right front rim was chewed up pretty bad. I called the DT store & was told to come back & let the manager look at the rim. Drove the 50 mi RT & the manager accused me of running into curbs. I have only had the car for 1 week & I don't hit curbs. I started a claim w/ DT & sent the adjuster pics of the rim.

After 11 days & me having to call the adjuster I got an email telling me they won't pay to repair the rim because they say I hit curbs. If you hit curbs, the rash in on the outside of the rim on the face & not on the inside of the rim. So they are willing to lose a 15 yr customer over a $125 rim repair that they caused. DT used to look over your rims before working on your car w/ you. They would make note of prior damage & discuss it w/ you. This is the 1st time DT has never looked at the rims w/ me. I usually watch them like a hawk when they installed new tires on my Corvette. They never scratched my Corvette rims, even when installing new RF Tires ($2,000) which are very difficult to put on. I assumed incorrectly that they would be careful. I will never buy or use DT again.

Called them on June 24 way before closing to get FOUR TIRES for my car. Was told let's wait and see if on tire truck on Tuesday the 25th call after twelve. Well I called and same person answered. He said, "No but I can order them and you get by Friday." I told him, "What do you have?" He quotes one set for twenty more a tire. Then says, "No wait we have some more that would be better. Eight hundred for four but you get one fifty in rebate." No that is not what was originally discussed. I told him, "Give me corporate number." He put me on hold. I held too long and finally hung up. I called corporate, let them know and now I have to get another venue so they lost a customer. They have bad review and I as a consumer will pass along my experience to everyone guaranteed.

Took the van here to have two tires replaced. Had 3 kids with me and only 2 or 3 customers ahead of me. We ended up waiting about 2 hours to get out. They fiddle too much with the mechanics. All they should do is mount and remove tires and that's it. They ended up messing with something they shouldn't have touched and screwed up a TPMS sensor. I know now they did it on purpose but I'll get to that. 10 miles away my TPMS light came on. I called and told them about it but I was driving 1,500 miles away. A man apologized in a fake tone. Two weeks later I am here making them fix it under warranty because it was fine before I came. I called the regional office in Schertz, Tx first to ensure I wouldn't be made to wait again.

So sitting in the office waiting for the fix, I am right next to the register and I overhear 3 CUSTOMERS come in talking to a salesman about the EXACT SAME TPMS problem I had. Except they are passive about it, and the salesman are telling them that the sensor battery needs replacing for $20, or the sensor needs to be replaced. They are saying the life of the tire pressure sensor is 7 years and it is normal that they stop working after a tire gets changed. I cannot believe the audacity of these people- to take advantage of passive customers right next to me.

Who they are taking care of for free because I was firm and I called Regional to complain. This is not a normal occurrence. This is a scam. They are running to squeeze more money out of their customers. If you ask me they're already charging too much service fee for each tire. They charge $20 labor fee for each tire they move. Somebody needs to call the Better Business Bureau on these people but I don't have time.

On Wednesday, May 29, 2019, I took my Toyota 4Runner to the Mansfield Discount Tire to repair one tire that had a screw in it. I had just taken the car to the dealer for service one week prior to rotate the tires. Nothing was mentioned about needing new tires. Discount Tire said I needed ALL tires replaced. I asked to have the tire with the screw repaired and after 2 hours was told I needed a new tire. They then proceeded to tell me that replacing one would cause performance issues and be dangerous. I was subjected to a long sales pitch for replacing all of my tires. I had them put the spare on, full size, paid, and left. The service was horrible. I was stunned by how much they have changed in the last few years with the dishonest upselling. I will not go back.

My experience was with the Manager (**) at Discount Tire, located at 4538 Washington Rd., Augusta, Ga. Very pleasant individual, when asked to have my tires rotated, he had a mechanic jump right on it and they were completed within 30 minutes, at no charge. Stated, Just remember them, when I need tires, which I will for sure. Super service!

After getting a price quote of $419 and being assured that I wouldn't need an appointment over the phone (they stated they would get me in and out in an hour since I had a later engagement), I headed to the store the next day, everything went downhill from there. 1) I could see a few disgruntled customers waiting, but I met with an associate who also stated we'll have you out in "about" an hour. (I'll finish this disappointment later.) 2) After we looked at my tires the salesman tried numerous times to sell me an additional tire to the point of my exhaustion.

3) We headed back in and another associate assisted me for pricing. I was NOW quoted $498. We went around for a bit and he finally stated, "Ohhhh the previous quote was probably given without the additional warranties. Lol." 4) I traveled 30 minutes to get there so I continued the process and paid for the tires and service. Once he collected my money, he stated, "Ok ma'am we'll have you done in about 2 1/2 hours." Of course I asked for a refund because I specifically stated I had a following engagement. Here's the catcher... While refunding my money he says, "Could you come back after your other appointment". I laughed out the door! UNBELIEVABLE.

I own a 2018 F-150 with 20,000 miles on the odometer. One day ago, the tire pressure monitor displayed that the right rear tire had dropped 10 psi. I checked the tire, and saw a small nail embedded in the tread. I aired the tire up, and took the vehicle to Discount Tire in Portland, TX. for repair. After the salesperson, and I went out to access the damage to the tire, we could clearly see the nail in the tread, and the salesperson stated "It should be a simple repair, unless we find something else wrong", which raised a "red flag" in my thinking. He then checked the condition and tread depth of all the tires and wheels, which were all good. He told me there were 10 vehicles ahead of me, and the told me that the wait would be about 90 minutes.

After signing authorization for the repair, and reading for a while, a technician came to me and told me that the tire needed to be replaced, and showed me a vertical gash near completely through the outside sidewall of the tire that the counter person, and I looked at when all of the tires were inspected. The counter person agreed that there was no sidewall damage, and the store manager stated "We'll return the tire to the manufacturer, and replace it under warranty". They didn't carry the brand of tire, and told me that they would order one. I'm now riding on my spare without a back-up, until the tire ships into the store, if the tire ever comes in. I typically never write reviews, but this company deserved one. Easy website to use allowed me to see what the tires/wheels would look like on my specific color and year/make/model of car which is more than I can do at my local store. Prices were over 300$ cheaper than the most affordable equivalent in town and I live in an affordable cost-of-living state. Once I pulled the trigger on buying, they Mounted/balanced/packaged/shipped my order in less than 24 hrs, sent it FEDEX (for free shipping) with tracking and tires arrived ready to bolt on and looked great!

For some reason their online system left off the lug-nuts I added to the order (I didn't get charged for them - just wasn't on the order somehow), so I wrote their customer service department, who responded again within less than 24 hrs and put together a special cart order for me that had the right lug nuts at a 33% discount for my trouble, with free shipping - again. I own a manufacturing company and so I know how sometimes database things go haywire, which is totally understandable, but what matters is how you deal with it and they were awesome. It will be very hard for me to justify ever buying tires or rims from anyone else again. I wish my own company was this good. -Ryan

I had a Discount tire that blew out, and the people I asked to look at it, including a mechanic, said the tire was defective. There was a crack on the interior wall of the tire that had split open so I returned it to Discount Tire with the original receipt and warranty, and they refused to honor the warranty, saying the warranty didn't cover road hazards. It was clearly a defective tire, and I was a little stunned to learn that Discount Tires "warranties" don't actually cover anything at all. I guess that's why they're not BBB accredited. I won't do business with them again.

Let me start with saying I think when I went in and bought tires 3 years ago, I explained I wanted to keep the new tires for the duration of my ownership of the car. I explain that would be 4 more years. So what happens is when you go and get your tires rotated they tell you how much the thread is left in the car, and guess what? It is time to buy new tires. You know what, since they sold me these tires and they did not even make the 60,000 warranty, they should be replacing all of my tires! The estimate was $292.00 to purchase new tires. This is what sent me over the edge, they wouldn't even rotate my tires because I refused to purchase new ones. They just checked the pressure and sent me on my merry way! Just be prepared. They will always upsell you even when you go in for a routine rotation which is free for the ownership of the tires.

I was a customer for a long time until you read all of your receipts. A $78 tire cost $45 more after all their installation fees, taxes, certificates and so on. They will do everything to get you to buy tires and their warranty certificate but what people don't know is the factory has its warranty but also when you have a problem with a tire and you bought The warranty the same excuse they use to sell you one they tell you the opposite to not replace the tire. I had 4 large cuts in the side walls from defective rubber and he tried to say they were cut. Um the tire was cut around in a circle around the side walls. You're better off just buying tires from anywhere because in the end the prices are exactly the same. Sad that I fell for this so many years. Read your receipts and know what you're buying in advance. They're liars and as bad as a car dealership!!!

I checked online prior to going into store to make sure tires I wanted were available, luckily they had 6 available and I headed to the store. I get there. I ran into an incoherent young man that badly could speak. I got grunts and childish enunciation. He tells me they don’t have the tire I just saw online and I had to get more expensive ones. Bait and switch! Then he wants to replace more than I asked for. I had all my other tire replaced in December, today is the semiconductor to last day in April. This whole visit was a scam. I’m stuck trying to replace a bad tire and all I’ve gotten is a visit that’s more expensive than it should be and someone trying to sell me something I don’t need. Way to go Discount Tire. You losers. I won’t be back!

I bought insurance on my tires so as to avoid paying the full price on the low profile run flats on the car. I noticed a bubble on the passenger front tire so I brought it in to have the tire replaced. This is the 3rd time that the tire needed to be replaced and each time they damaged the rim and had to have them fix their mistake!!! This time when I went in I asked Billy the customer service rep to check the rim going in to show him there was no damage to the rim. I was with him along with my wife. He noted that there wasn't any damage and that he would place his best tech so this wouldn't happen. When the car was finished I inspected the rim and found damage and at that time I brought the manager out (Jayme) and he noticed the damaged rim. He said to bring it back in and he would fix the damage. I brought it in Monday and got a call that it was done. I went to pick it up at 5:30 and got the keys and went out to get in my vehicle.

At that time the manager approached me and accused me that the scrape was already there and he as much said that the scrape was already there sarcastically. Let me give you a little background about myself. I retired from the Postal Service with 40 years of service as the Postmaster of Arlington TX with about 1500 employees. I own 3 vehicles, 1 Mercedes, 2 BMW's and the one that was serviced was a 2015 BMW convertible was purchased was $106,000 paid in cash. So I don't think I need to scam anyone out of a rim fix. I will never come back to a Discount Tire with my 3 vehicles and will tell everyone I know to do the same. How this manager ever got to where he is in the company is baffling to me. Maybe retraining in customer service.

I bought new tires here (Michelin) and with less than 20,000 on the tires, they told me that I needed new ones. I had gone in for rotation. Sure enough, when we looked at the tires, they were shot! I personally think they took my good tires off and replaced them with worn tires. Finally, they agreed to replace the tires (I had to pay the difference. When I went in to have them replaced, they tried to overcharge me and then I discovered that they charged me extra for an extended warranty without asking me whether or not I wanted that (I didn't). One day later, my transmission starts making noises, and then I find out that although there is no sign of a leak, my fluid is VERY low. I think they removed some of my fluid, but I cannot prove it.

The advisor claims my rims would not accommodate the tire size I wanted. My OME tires are 245/45/20 and I requested 275/40/20. I am running now 275/40/20 snow tires now, and I wanted new tires. He hinted that I would need new rims for the tires. WOW! I went to a Firestone Complete Care, they ran a tire sizing calculation and my rims would accommodate the new tires. I see why they have cheaper priced name brand tires, because they try to over sale you on other things. Stay away from Discount Tires!

So service person agreed to revalve, picked up tire, went home, old valve in place, weny back, different service person said the original person had called and talked to me. Complete lie, never called, why would I pick up a tire and be told I’m set to go. 3 trips for nothing, done with them.

After buying 4 new tires from Discount Tire (nearly 700 dollars), the day after tire installation at Discount Tire, I notice my tire pressure light is on. Please note, the tire pressure light was not on when I brought my vehicle there to get the tires installed. So I figure, no problem, I'll bring it back and they will fix what they messed up at no cost right? Wrong, they check my tires, and ironically enough, they inform me that somehow my tire pressure light has magically come on between my vehicle arriving to get new tires, with no light on, and leaving from Discount Tire after my new tires are installed. So, to fix the problem I now have to spend 60 per tire to fix sensors, sensors that worked before I came to Discount Tire.

I elect to replace 1. The one that I was told was causing the tire pressure light to come on. Manager replaced two sensors for 60 dollars. Great, you saved me 60 dollars for something you screwed up. So now the problem is fixed. Not, the light is off when I leave the store, okay, I get home and turn the vehicle off, when I get back in the car an hour later and drive down the street guess what happens, you got it, tire pressure light comes back on.

At this point I'm done. I chalk up the 60 dollars as a loss and the tire pressure light will just remain on rather than going back to Discount Tire and having more money stolen from me for bad work. Well my problems with Discount Tire's work were not done yet, I wake up the morning after getting my new tire sensors "fixed" and the tire they installed the sensor on is flat. No nails in the tire etc. to be found. I'm having to go to another tire store to fix Discount Tire's mess and spend more money due to Discount Tire's bad service. DO NOT GO HERE! THEY WILL MESS UP YOUR VEHICLE!

I purchased a set of tires on my credit account and sent in their rebate. They sent a response back saying it was declined for a) not paid for with credit account. (But it's on my credit bill), b) no copy of invoice (I have one), c) not a qualifying amount (It was highlighted by their employee). The first time I used them, they over tightened my wheel and broke three studs on my truck. They are an incompetent and deceitful company.

Do NOT come here! Wish I could give them 0 stars. WOMEN beware. They will take you for a ride. I came in for some help and they were more concerned about making money on unnecessary things. They made me pay for a rim for no reason. They wanted me to buy a set of 4 rims. But, they saw my hesitancy and they wanted some more money from me because balancing for $60 wasn't enough. They're greedy. And I'm sure they had a good laugh about it once I left. NEVER GOING BACK THERE AGAIN.

Do NOT trust them at all. Especially ROGAN ** and some other guy with "slicked back" hair. I put my trust in these guys with my car and my hard earned money and they took advantage of that. That feeling will always be there and I just feel so VIOLATED. You put your trust in someone...because they were trained and educated in that particular skill. Would you want a doctor to do such a thing? No. You wouldn't have. Worst is...I know they won't do anything to rectify the situation. Just make up excuses, because that's what they really specialize in.

I bought new wheels and tires from Discount Tire and wheels have a lifetime warranty. I noticed the front two tires started cupping on inspection. I noticed the front two rims had a crack clean through the spoke, I went to Discount Tire and showed them and they said that the tires would do that because of the rims cracking and throwing them off balance said the rims would be covered, but to find out that those rims are discontinued and they would find two rims to replace them with but will not match .

If I wanted them to match I would have to buy the other two rims. I argued it’s not my fault the rims are discontinued and that they should be liable and back the stuff they sell. I bought the American Outlaw wheels and he said they will only do the two wheels. I left. Came home and called the main office and spoke with a person there and he said he would have a talk with the store I purchased them from and a manager would call me back within 24hrs. That was a Friday and this is now a Wednesday and still no callback. I had also sent a email to the corporate office with no reply either. I believe this is bad business practices and will never deal with them again.

Had an appointment at Discount Tire in Eastgate Dr, Garland for a flat repair. Went in early because we need to be somewhere else in a certain time. I have been having the tire issue for months or at least a month and thought it’s just the weather. I usually keep that tire in 36 psi and when I dropped it off it’s probably at about 29 psi or more. So they did their usual tire inspection and was told all 3 was at 4/32 while the one I want to be repaired is at 3. Before I set my appointment I actually looked at tires already because I know at some point I will have to buy new set soon so I know they don’t have the tires in stock but special order. Going back, so he was pitching me for tires already but I told him I know they don’t have it in stock and still asked me to go over to the counter to look. But I just had to tell him that we need to be somewhere else and I can look later.

I asked if we can still have the tire be repaired and he said yes and usually it’s when the tire is down to 2/32 then they don’t repair it anymore. That went fine until after about 30 minutes they called and told me it’s “irreparable” and they don’t have a stock right now so I asked to just put the original tire back but they refused to. So we agreed to just put the spare tire. Had to call them right away and spoke to Edwin because I realized it wasn’t the right spare tire. He told me they see if they have a used tire and will have to call me back because he’s with a customer. I never received a callback.

As we were pulling at the parking lot, saw the SUV with a completely flat tire. Went inside to grab the keys and asked if they can at least put some air back into it and told them it wasn’t like that when I dropped it off. They refused to put air and keeps saying it will keep losing air. I told him I have been driving it for months like that and it’s holding air until when I dropped it off. So I asked again to at least put some air back and again was refused to and recommended to not drive it or get a tow truck. Which in fact, they drove it out of the service bay to the parking lot with zero psi tire. So I went out to check the tire finding out they didn’t even bother to put the stem valve cap on, put a tear at the sidewall of the tire, and left the valve core pushed in making it blow air out and not hold any.

In this scenario, as if they really wanted me to order that tire which will be available the next day, leave the SUV parked at their lot since it’s completely flat and so they can make their sale of the day. With this tactic, I’m not falling for it. So I asked my husband to grab our portable inflator at the house, we put some air back into it having to really have that stem valve cap on because of what they did to the core blowing air out, and drove it back home. We brought the “irreparable”, "undrivable” tire to a different shop and guess what it was repaired and was told because it’s a run-flat kind of tire we can use it until at least we receive the special order set of tires. So be the judge! I will definitely not give my hard earned money to a company who only cares about their sales.

If you have evermore increasing time to spend waiting for sales or warranty service it is a great place to buy a set of tires with nationwide serviceability. You can find any brand tire to fit any budget. The staff are nice and the stores are clean. But the wait times are unforgivable. A two hour wait time to get a patch for a tire with a slow leak is ridiculous.

I made an appointment to fix a deflating front left tire. They measured the threads and recommended replacing the 2 front tires (3/32" out of 10/32" left). I agreed to put on new Michelin Pilot A/S 3 plus sports tires at $228 each. When the work was almost done, the salesperson (Andrea) approached me with a story about the nuts needing replacement, as they were "badly swelling". That was another $48.71 for a lug kit. I took home a sample of an "old" nut, and I call BS on the swelling nuts story. I need to be able to trust the advice of the technicians, but at Discount Tire they seem more concerned about their own revenues and sales targets than the interests of their customers.

I went to Discount Tire to have my tires checked that I had purchased from them a year and a half ago. They said all four needed replaced. They had a warranty. They were going to give me $50 credit per each tire but the tires that were on the truck which were the Optimos I was told were no longer available. This was on a Wednesday. The new tires were going to be $97 a piece minus the $50 warranty per tire. The Optimo tires which I was told were no longer available had been $61 a piece. I decided to wait.

That weekend they advertised a thank you sale with the Optimo tires being on the ad for $61. I went into a different location and told them I would needed 4 Optimo tires under warranty with a $50 credit each for the other four tires on my truck. They said there must have been something wrong in the ad because the Optimos were no longer available however I had a different Discount Tire store tell me they could get them. This is classic bait and switch.

After many months of having to continually put air into 2 of the 4 new tires purchased, they had to replace those 2 due to wear to sidewalls from sitting low/flat on so many overnight occasions in the cold weather. In a 4 week time frame of replacing the tires and going back twice for what I thought was a balancing issue, no one informed me that the tie rods were severely worn. They removed my front tires 3 separate times and should have definitely noticed that the tie rods could actually brake at any time. By not informing me and only wishing me a good day every time I left. They were putting me, my 4 yr old daughter, and all other motorists at risk. Had the tie rod broken while going down the interstate this past weekend. Possibly nothing bad may have happened, but quite possibly lives could have been lost. I even informed the employee of my travel intentions and concern for safety on Friday at the most recent balance and nothing was said.

I brought in my car on 8/24/18 at the Burien, Wa branch with suspicion of a punctured tired needing to be replaced or fixed. End result was the tire was in excellent condition per salesperson 300. Unfortunately, the rim was cracked. Prior to leaving the store, I was convinced into purchasing a certificate for $139 + tax, for free tire rotations, flat repairs and maintenance tire checks for life of the tires.

I went into same store on 2/22/19 for the tire rotations (per suggestions of their email), the store was on power outage. I was recommended to go to their Renton branch which I was told a 3 hour wait. Who has that time to wait? I went to the Federal Way branch on Monday the 25th, another 2-3 hour wait. I went back to same store in Burien, and told another 2-3 hour wait. They certainly didn't wait 2-3 hours to take my $152.91 on 8/24/2018. I feel cheated to have to wait for services already paid in advance.

We just purchased wheels and tires from Discount Tire in Shawnee KS. When they installed my new tires they cross threaded the front passenger wheel and said the wheel could not be installed and we would need to have the car towed. Upon putting the wheel on to pull the car out of their bay area they only put on 1 lug nut to secure the tire knowing that the tire would fall off. The tire fell off once it was towed due to inpropper installation and they refuse to take any responsibility.

This has been the worst experience I have ever had with Discount Tire especially because I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years. They truly do not care about their customers or their responsibility to customer care and safety. This is so disappointing about such a reputable business. I spoke to a regional office and not only are they rude but they refuse to take any responsibility. If they knew the wheel would fall off and needed to be towed you would think because of safety issue they would have put more than 1 lug nut on the wheel to transport safety... Incompetent and unprofessional without a doubt. On top of everything the manager at Discount Tire in Shawnee Kansas would not even speak to us on the phone and has done his best to ignore the
