I had an appointment to rotate my tires with Burbank. I waited for about 3 hours. I got my car back, thinking my tires were rotated, but it wasn’t. I knew it because I made tiny marks on the rim. They deceived me, and that is not right.

On the recommendation of my daughter, I purchased 4 Michelin tires from Costco for my Corsair. The tires arrived quicker than expected, and I made an 10:00 appointment for them to be put on the car. I arrived exactly at 10:00. There was a sign stating that they recommend a 2 hour wait for the car to be finished. The counter service gentleman reviewed the details of my car, checked me in and stated that he would call me when the job was complete. I decided to do some Costco shopping and, at 10:48, my phone rang, and I was notified my car was finished…..I was surprisingly shocked! I hadn’t even finished my usual Costco shopping. The counter gentleman, I neglected to get his name, was so accommodating and friendly. He even informed me that there was a ‘grease build up on the CV axels’ and suggested I contact my mechanic. I was so happy with the purchase of these tires from start to finish. Will definitely use them for my other vehicle.

Wow, if I ran my business this way, I’d be broke! They had to order our tires, told us 2-3 days…no call, called, they said “3-5 days” no call, called again, now they said “7-10 days.” At this point asked for manager. Was told I “should NEVER have been given a time frame, as they had to get them from out of state.” Well, they did, each time doubling how long to get the tires. I could have had them installed elsewhere a week ago. They “upgraded” our tire and scheduled an appt today. Well after the more than an hour we shopped (told an hour to hour and a half for installation), went to check status and “just took it back.” Seriously, what’s the point of an appt if you don’t even come close to the time frame?! Worst experience ever. Do NOT recommend!

Don’t bring your car here for tires. They cracked one of my wheels, denied it and sent me out the door with a dangerous problem. Luckily, the tire went flat before the wheel could fail completely. Then to make matters even worse, they refused to do anything to make things right! They just told me sucks to be you, we didn’t do it!

I purchased Michelin Premier tires that wore evenly but went bald after 12k miles. Curtis at Napa Costco Tires explained that because I didn't have the tires rotated at 6k miles with Costco the warranty was void. I did have my tires rotated with an auto shop but I was told that would just qualify me for a "discount" on a new purchase.

Costco Tires Center at 17550 N 79th Ave in Glendale AZ damaged my rims! I was a loyal customer for many years and many sets of tires. Technicians at this location carelessly caused scratches (one of them the size of a penny) in 3 of the 4 tires they installed and the manager didn't even investigate or compensate when reported. I even had the "before" pictures of the rims to show. If you care about your car, do not come here or any Costco since they do tires in volume and don't control their technicians for quality work. They just lost a customer for life.

Updated on 01/16/2026: I increased the rating because the Manager actually reached out promptly upon my complaint. Rating will be updated again upon the next service to see if any improvement will happen.

Original Review: The Tire Center's time estimate is horrible! - What is estimated at 1.5 hour should take less than that, not more. Also, there should be a limit of how close to closing time should an appointment be made as mine was the last to get worked on (when it should have been worked on 2 hours ago). I came in for a rotation & balance & 1 sensor replacement service. The service staff had to stay overtime because more issues were found. Not only my service finish time was overdue, there were more problems than when I just came in (bolt was somehow broken, 3 sensors worked fine and afterwards became dead). $250 later (4 sensors & 1 random bolt replacement), my car was finally done and I walked out of the place 3 hours later from when I dropped it off. 1 star for the fair price. 1 star for the staff having to work overtime (had they worked on my car earlier, they would have found the issues earlier and would have had to stay late).

Costco tire service had my wife prepay for tire repair (nail) but then shared they could not fix the tire. The Costco policy is that you do not get refund even though there was no repair performed. The receipt says 15.99 for tire repair. It’s not that I cannot afford the 15.99.

I liked the variety and affordability of tires. But problems developed afterwards: it took 3 weeks for the new tires to arrive, no one answers the phone so can't make appointment for installation, when I returned after installation, my bumper had been scratched (which they denied culpability). I will never use Costco for tires again!

I ordered 4 all seasons tires from the Costco website on Nov. 5, 2025. After 3 weeks, they could not track our tires. They kept saying wait for an email. On Dec. 5, 2025, they said it has been shipped from Bridgestone warehouse. On Dec. 8, 2025, they said to keep waiting. I no longer want to wait and asked for a full refund. The tires should not have taken this long. We were still left waiting. Costco did issue me a full refund. Why is it taking so long to be shipped to the Costco store at the Warden location?

I’ve purchased several sets of tires from Costco and save $100-$200 per set. Based on my recent experiences dealing with their service, I will not go back. They offer free rotations and balancing but you have to make an appointment, drop off your car and walk around Costco a couple of hours just to save a few bucks on a rotation. Most recently, the frugal side of me got the best of me and I purchased a set of tires and made an appointment online. I waited almost 2 hours for the installation with nowhere to wait but the Costco foodcourt. Then I had the misfortune of getting a flat 3 days after installation on my way to work, brought the tire to the nearest Costco for repair and they told me it would be 4-5 hours before they could look at it.

I complained to a manager who said would have the tire center look at it sooner but store managers must have no say on how the tire center runs so it still took over 4 hours, and my day was shot. The tire was not repairable so they have to order another tire which they said would take 1-2 days and they would call me to come in to get the new tire installed. No call after 2 days so I called and am now told it may will take up to a week. My car has a donut type spare so I can’t use the car for work or much anything else.

The Acura dealer where I get my car serviced, quoted me a higher price but had I bought them there, I would have had a new tire in hours because they stock most brands and sizes they sell and they care about good customer service. Costco is all about volume, not good service, and they assume customers will return even with poor service because of their low prices. If your time is worth anything to you, pay the extra hundred or so and go to a dealer or discount tire store and you will save a lot of time and frustration.

Tires never arrived and they “had no idea” when they would. The person in front of me Costco card expired and had to go a new card and they could not help anyone else until he was done. We just stood there looking at each other. Person comes to the counter and helps their friends and skips everyone standing in line..Incompetent department and I love Costco.

I just left the Costco tire Center in Brandon. I was expecting to pay $60.00 for a new tire pressure sensor to be installed. Jason checked all four tires with their special gauge and found that I did not need a new sensor; I had a nail in my right rear tire, and I had a slow leak. I was billed $11.60 for the tire repair; they filled all of my tires with nitrogen to the proper level.

Put vehicle in to have tires rotated, rebalanced, and to fix the flat when I got it back, they put the tire they fixed on backwards to where it was white letters facing outward, but all the rest are black letters facing outward, and never even noticed it had to come back the next day for them to fix that then they only put 28 pounds of pressure in the tire while the rest were at 33. Do they not check this stuff so two mistakes in two days?

I bought new tires and during installation a wheel cover was accidently broken. I didn't think it was a big deal at the moment. When it was time for a tire rotation I brought it in and waited twice as long as they told me. After driving home all my brake fluid leaked out causing my dashboard to light up. I took it to my trusted mechanic and he explained how someone damaged the brake hose. I had to pay to have it repaired, made a claim and was told it would be resolved in 5-7 days. No reply, so after a week I reached out again. They sent me an email with the wrong customer name and provided a phone number to call. After several attempts to talk to someone and only receiving a "voicemail box is full" recording, an angry person finally answered and yelled that I have the wrong number. When I looked up the claim adjuster and figured out the correct number to call, not the one they gave me, I called and learned that nearly two months later, they denied the claim.

The Costco Tire Center at Tempe AZ site had a very, very bad service and attitude. I had a appointment to install 4 new tires at 1 PM. I was told that they will have the service done within 1-1.5 hours. However, my car is still sit at the parking lot without any work at 2:30 PM. When I complain to their staffs, he even ran away and said that they haven't started the service yet. It was such a bad experience to have their such response. Very unprofessional and irresponsible. I won't come back to Costco tire centers for new tires in the future. I suggest to go to the other vendors for better quality and service in my opinion, I spoke with Discount Tire that they can match the price of any competitors. Very disappointed for the Costco tire center's service even though I have been installed new tires for my current car for several years.

2.5 hours to rotate and balance tires. When I arrived home I checked the torque of lug nuts that are Toyota specified minimum 76 lb-ft up to 84 lb-ft maximum (+ 10%) the locking lugs met that tolerance. The rest were overtorqued > 90 lb-ft up to 145 lb-ft. (+90%) unacceptable. I used a calibrated torque wrench. You can damage the lugs and the nuts from over torque. Also some brake rotors will become warped from uneven or over torqued lugs. On the receipt I received lists the torque spec 76 lb -ft and the PSI 33. They over inflated all four tires to 37 psi. Bought 4 Michelin tires for my Lexus and had to return numerous times to have the wheels and tires balanced. Ccontinued to have a wobble at about 70 miles per hour. Finally took the car to my local tire shop and they stated the car was not balanced properly and they had to remove half the weights. Now the car drives great. Either Costco is doing a rush job or they are not trained properly. There is no reason someone should have to take the car back so many times to have tires balanced.

So, when deciding whether or not to go with Costco for tires I decided to do some online research. Unfortunately, I didn't check this website! You will read that the tires typically take about 45 minutes, so shop while you wait. Sounds OK, right? What they don't tell you is that the 45 minutes starts once they get to your car. Even though you have a 10:24 appointment, they don't begin to work on you car till 12:30. So scheduling is a joke.... unless you plan to shop for three hours.

Then you realize that they don't do wheel alignments there, and of course that is required for all new tire installations. So you need to schedule a separate appointment with a Costco recommended tire dealer, who wont do that work while you wait. So that is another day wasted in the process of getting new tires. Summary: You will save little (if any) money but will double your aggravation. Go to mavis or anyone else, they will match the costco tires price anyway.

However, do not get your tires serviced at Costco in Greenville SC. That’s where they are an 1 at best. Even if you have an appointment, a tire rotation that they say takes 1 1/2 hours takes 2 1/2 hours. This happens routinely. From now on, I will be getting my tires rotated at the dealership when I get my oil changes done.
