I've had nothing but good experience. One of the sales reps was Omar. He gave me his cell phone number. He was in contact with me. He told me when the crew was coming out and what they were gonna do. He followed up with me afterwards to make sure that they did what they were supposed to do. The communication part was important to me. I've worked with a lot of contractors that tell you when they're gonna be there but don't show up. But Sunrun did exactly what they said they were gonna do when they were gonna do it.

The reps were very helpful. They answered a lot of questions. But there were a lot of bumps before we even got the system installed. It took a long time for them to get the panels up and for TEP to come. We had a hole in our front yard for three months. It was for the wiring for the solar. They had to have TEP come and check it. Also, their customer service isn't that great when you call. But my electric bill is now a lot cheaper and it's good that I can pay online.

Sunrun itself did good. The original installers were on schedule and very good, and took care of everything they were supposed to. But after that, it got bad a couple of times. Some of Sunrun's contractors stink. One guy came out, was supposed to hook it up. And it was cold and wet. Where he would was dry but he didn't wanna do it. So he said, "I have to get on the roof." And I said, "Why? No one else has ever done it. Any time we've had problems, they would pull the meter out." "No, you can't do that now, either get on the pole or on the roof." We cancelled and had to wait another several weeks to get another appointment. But when he left, he didn't stay on the driveway. He ran over my sprinkler heads and I complained.

Sunrun sent out a couple of guys who supposedly knew something about sprinklers. They got out here and had never seen the impact sprinkler heads. I said, "I have an extra couple we can use." They said, "Oh, you have some. Do you have pipe too?" They were not prepared to do anything. And they were supposed to turn in a bill to somebody there, so they would send me payment for the sprinkler heads. But they never did. I'm not happy about that.

The program that we got, there was no money out of our pockets. And we have a guaranteed rate for 16 months. It's all financed. And after 16 months, it would go up. But it would still be cheaper than our electric bill. The only recent problem was last week. The app wouldn't work. It kept saying, "No data is available for yesterday." And the next day, it would say the same thing. That went on for almost a week. And I called and complained. Sunrun said, "There's a million people out there that their app isn't working, and we're trying to locate why it's not getting the data." Soon, it started working.

One month, we had a zero electric bill. This month, it's $2 and something. So, we're okay. A lot of days, it would say so much percent overcast or cloudy. I would sit here most days looking out and say, "There's not a cloud in the sky." So, the system must find something that it thinks is a cloud up there. The one month, it put in the bank. And the next month, it used most of it to pay all the availability charge. And the next month, we had a bit banked left. But that left us with $2.45 short. So, I'm happy with that. And it's because our air conditioners have to run a ton because of this weather.

Sunrun seems to have a decent deal and it wasn't breaking my bank. It seemed like it was a good investment. Everything with the installation seemed to be fine. There was an issue, but it was not Sunrun's fault, but someone turned the power off for the solar, so that would definitely affect me. What was cool was that I got an email that said, "Something looks wrong. We'll have somebody call you to reach out and support you, because we're not recognizing solar connection." Something was off with the connection that Sunrun recognized on their end. I would have went months without ever knowing that. So that was a huge thing unrelated to the install, but the follow-up on their end was a pretty big deal. That was probably my biggest win right now. It was a simple fix that they talked with me on the phone about, and everything worked out.

Switching to solar was something that we thought about for a few years before we did it and we didn't know exactly how to go about it. Then we found out there was a program where you lease the panels. You put out nothing upfront. The company that we use came out and our lease is through Sunrun. It's been a win-win for us. Our bills are $5 or $6 a month and there have been months where we had credits, so we had no bills. Usually, one month in the winter, we will have what I consider a normal bill and that's when the panels aren't generating any electricity.

I'm very happy with the way our solar panels are working to keep our air conditioning running 24/7 during this hot summer weather. We had a good understanding with Sunrun from the beginning. We first met up in December of 2021, and that was when I signed the contracts with them. They were here within about two weeks after that in the beginning of January and did the installation of the panels. We were told that we'd hear from them in a few months once they got the final permits approved in the county and the final inspection, and coordinated through PG&E before they turned on the panels.

In May, I hadn't really received much information of what was going on. I kept calling and writing to them to find out when it was going to happen because the summer months were coming. I really wanted some relief from the high bills, but it didn't happen. They kept saying that there was a hold up in the permits. They were waiting on the California permit to get approved, and there was some kind of problem with the title on my home. I live in Woods Creek Mobile Home Park, and it's in Jamestown. I own the home but not the land I sit on. So, I have to pay property taxes on the house and a monthly space rental fee. I owned a home previously and I had it in a family trust so that I was sole owner and trustee of the property. When the other house was sold and this one I acquired, I had them put it in the family trust name, which was under my father's name.

I think that caused some confusion in determining that I was the rightful owner of the house. Somehow, that got straightened up along the way and we waited on through the end of 2021. The agreement with Sunrun was that once the panels are turned on, they would pay the first six months. That was the perk to get you to sign up for it. So, we wouldn't have any PG&E bills for the first six months. I was still calling around in 2022. They finally said we are getting the approval. They worked with another company, which is called Bright Planet. Bright Planet is located in Contra Costa County. The technician lives in Pittsburgh, and then he had to drive to Livermore to get the company truck, and then from Livermore, up here. So, it was a long journey for all of this to get finalized, but he was very sweet, and talking with Bright Planet, they were always trying to answer my questions.

There is another company circulating Tuolumne County area called V3. They were installing some solar on the mobile home park next to us called Mill Villa. One of their installers was canvassing over this area to see if any of our homes here would adequate rooms to be able to have solar installations, and he noticed that our solar panels were on our house, but that the inverter was off. So, he tapped on our door and he talked to us for a while. I gave him information and he said, "Well, our company could remove those panels. We could install ours, and we could have you up and running right away, being that it's been over a year and you still have no power. That's ridiculous."

He wrote something to Sunrun that day, indicating that we were unhappy and that he was going to make a bid on our house and that. Then their legal department got involved and started writing back to me and talking about how they were going to sue us for $30,000 if we did anything like that, but they were sort of polite about it. They requested that we just hang on a little bit longer to let them get the permit straightened out, so that they could go ahead and turn the installation on. I got back in touch with V3 and I said, "Look, let's just back off. We're gonna stick with Sunrun. And if it doesn't happen, I can always call you again."

Bright Planet got it taken care of some time toward the end of March. Since March, I have been paying Sunrun a dollar a month. I've been getting billed by PG&E for their office accounting, establishing the net meter and their readings. So, that's about $6 a month to pay to PG&E and if I'm counting back, if they said that they covered April, May, June, July, August maybe, and then September, then by October, we'll be paying our agreed upon $82 monthly throughout the end of the contract with them. 82 is a whole lot better than seeing a summer bill of 175 and crawling upwards of what it was like last summer. It was awful last summer and it was very hard to make those payments on our income.

We did not have the battery offered to us at the time. In the extended year of wait period, they were finally able to become competitive and begin a new package like that for newer customers. When I saw that, I called them and I asked them about it. I wrote to them as well asking that I'd be put on the list for when they could begin a retro fit and a backup battery. The last I heard was they didn't think they were going to be able to offer that to us because at that point, PG&E was not going to approve that. Evidently, they're losing out too much on their income from the off peak-hours that we're getting charged. So if they can work that out, I do want to get the backup battery. As the way things worked along with us, it's been a fine plan. We've gotten what we needed when we needed it and we're happy.

The benefits of using solar panels are not so obvious. Most contracts benefit solar companies first and users are left with a small margin for an error to collect gains if they decide to sign with them. Therefore the best option is to buy solar panels up front. But here is another problem: our houses can't last longer than 20 years without a major repair. In this case this is a roof that needs to be replaced. And if you have solar panels on it , it will cost you all the benefits gained from sighing with solar company (depending on the contract - from my experience Sunrun has the worse terms) to remove them. Also, how effective are solar panels if you decided to buy them so that you can re-use them on the new roof?

Sunrun installed 32 solar panels on my roof in Lincoln MA in 2012. They were paid off in 4 years and since then I have received an average of $2400 per year in SREC payments. I’ve driven a Chevy Bolt EV since 2019, charging from my roof solar, essentially costing me nothing and saving 2 tons of CO2 by not using fossil fuel.

We purchased our system just over a year ago. It is financed with Goodleap, who already paid Sunrun. Sunrun used deceptive sales tactics by presenting the all popular 30% rebate check from the government as a guarantee. $26k that are salesman GUARANTEED we will get, at least three times as it is why we made the purchase. Over and over he promised we had nothing to worry about, we will get the check and then just pass it on to goodleap. If we kept the money, our payment will see a substantial increase.

The salesman had our incomes. He knew we owed no taxes. He most definitely knew that the “rebate” is not a guarantee as it’s a tax credit. It will only reduce or eliminate taxes owed. There is not, nor has there ever been a guaranteed check. Of course SunRun's response was to inquire if I had witnesses, because the likely first rule in customer service, BLAME THE CUSTOMER. KICK THE CUSTOMER WHILE THEY ARE DOWN. DISCOURAGE THE CUSTOMER FROM CONTINUING WITH THE COMPLAINT. AND LASTLY, we already have the customer's money.

Calling customer service is about worthless. Complaints must be made via email. We were told we could control which rooms and/or appliances have power during an outage, to reduce energy waste. Nope. The breaker box was moved to outdoors, behind our house along with the two Tesla power walls. During a recent inspection we were told we have no surge protection or filtration. This will cost me about $1400 more. $76000 spent with sunrun. They move and upgrade our breaker box and leave off a vital component.

The salesman also said that the electricians will inspect ALL of our home's electrical wiring to ensure safety as our house was built in 1978. This was all outlets, wiring, checking for any energy leaks. NOPE, just the breaker box filled with oddities. Our home has ZERO gfci outlets. It’s the first thing the recent inspector be out to our attention. Any respectable service would inform their customers of a safety matter that could cause a potential fatality, maybe even work with the customer in a proactive manner and devise a plan to bring things up to code. Again, this is what our salesman promised. Customer service after the fact has been nothing. Every time I attempt to communicate, I’m told I’m not authorized (I am) followed by a “how did we do” email TO MY EMAIL ADDRESS, the one that is not authorized.

Lastly we recently noticed my dad's name on the contract. The contract I believe was done in 2021, about 5 months later and after a lot of complaining, sunrun realized they never completed the inspection process. Of course, nobody made contact with us for this inspection and no concerns were brought to our attention. A professional would see potential problems and inform the homeowners. But safety does not seem to be a priority.

We now are paying about 6 cent more per kWh than before. We don’t get the full benefit of net metering because they didn’t want to overproduce power and put free energy on the grid. That should be our choice. Now because of this, I now have two energy bills, and I get ZERO benefit of SELLING OUR EXCESS POWER. We are lucky to get our power walls recharged. We have panels that seem to bend like a bats wing tip. We are about to see a $90 increase in our monthly payment because of the misrepresentation/deception on SunRun's part regarding the nonexistent rebate. We get made to feel stupid for not recording their salesman lie to us.

This salesman knew exactly what he was doing. He was SunRun's representative doing thing assumably the sunrun way. We are out $26k of promised money, $1400 for surge protection and power filtration, about another $1500 for gfci, and out who knows how many thousands of dollars for lost credits/sales back to the grids. Oh yeah, they promise of 25 years full protection of our system “comes with it”. Another lie, we were charged about $5400 more for that. The zero maintenance and worry free ownership was also a deceptive sales tactic. I mentioned to customer service about a week ago that I have not heard from sunrun since they monitor our system and maintain it, and we had a recent hail storm. I was wondering when we could expect to see someone. CRICKETS. I’m told at that point I’m not authorized.

If I’m not authorized, that would seem to invalidate all of the signatures on the contract in my opinion, you know, since I am not authorized. We want to be treated fairly and we want sunrun to provide us what the salesman sold us. Nothing more. Nothing less. I recently did a web search for sunrun complaints, and they are numerous and they are similar. Deception is a common theme.

Sunrun, the salesman is your agent making promises on your behalf. The right thing to do would be at a minimum to send a supervisor to our house, inspect our system, be honest and explain to me how I am wrong, or apologize for the shady salesperson and help make things right. We are all accountable for our actions. We did nothing to deserve being misled into spending so much money. We didn’t make up any stories, and we did not lie…but your salesman did. The salesman’s email no longer works or he is ignoring them. Customer service however does not show his as being with sunrun any longer. I wonder if the separation of employment has to do with his actions. I will likely never know. But sunrun still needs to honor his promises. We believed

I live in Orlando, FL for context. The product is solid, but do your homework before going solar and DO NOT go with Sunrun. To start, they don't offer power banks and tell you, you'll get a credit through your energy provider for excess power and I don't think in 3 years I've seen one cent. So definitely go with a company that offers a power bank first. Second and most importantly, their customer service is HORRENDOUS! I've honestly had better luck getting airline customer service to work with me. The worst part about it is, Sunrun CS might work with you, might not, I wouldn't know because they don't return calls, emails, I had to get my case escalated through Twitter and the escalated case manager still ghosted me.

All I'm trying to do, is get my solar panels reinstalled, which let me not forget, they delayed my roof being replaced by 3 months because they couldn't get me on the schedule to remove. Then when I tried to setup the reinstall at the same time. they said "you must wait until the roof work is done" then turned around and told me to wait another SIX WEEKS when I told them the job would take 3 days so let's schedule the reinstall for a week out from the removal. They wouldn't work with me for that and now I'm in this predicament and no matter how many properties I own in the future, I'LL NEVER USE SUNRUN AGAIN! I'd rather pay full price electricity bill in Florida in July.

They said one will contact me on July 12, (it is June 22 today) in a hurricane time and it is pouring. Water is pouring inside the house daily

not mentioning they did not tell me that the electric company will still charge me administrations fees of $40 a month (so far) and said, "No more bills from the electric company so you will end up paying double the Bill." Big mistake that I signed with them, I will be an advocate warning people About Sunrun/Costco.

We signed up for autopay last May 2022; this February our credit was compromised. So we were calling all company that we were set up with autopay to give them the new credit card information. Thinking Sunrun being one of them. But Sunrun had our checking account information. But at the same time when we called Sunrun we were informed that our Solar panels had been shutdown to our surprise for 15 months or so!!! After me speaking with seven different customer service representatives and then finally a supervisor I got an answer saying that it was an internal error by Sunrun.

I spend hours on the telephone. And the supervisor told me she would look into and get back to me within seven days which she did not! After her saying to me “stop your dialogue!” And then her calling my elderly husband’s telephone leaving messages after. Then another Case manager taking the case over writing two emails to me. First stating she was reviewing the case. Second that the case was closed. Her name was just listed as Samira. Not extension or anything. When I telephoned Sunrun they informed the case was CLOSED and NO ONE would be calling us back.

Updated on 10/09/2023: I recently had my roof replaced due to some hail damage. The solar panels needed to be removed and reinstalled for the repairs to be completed. When the installers came out to put the panels back on my roof, they were unable to complete the job that day. It took around a month before another crew made it out to finish the installation. I missed valuable time of solar generation. The crew that finished the installation left several items on the roof: a water bottle, roll of tape, cut of pieces of conduit and other debris. I have been patient and trying to work with Sunrun for months to get someone to come out and clean up. I would have happily picked up small items that fell on the ground and were missed by the crew, but I'm not climbing up on my roof to clean up after their crew. They have refused to come out and eventually told me that I needed to hire a third part to perform the cleanup. I'm extremely frustrated and cannot believe that a company would allow such sloppy workmanship.

Original Review: I had panels installed in the fall of 2021, in the first year of service they were out for several months and I had to have 3 different service calls to replace inverters that kept going out. The summer of 2022 I had a roofing company come out to investigate some hail damage on the roof and I agreed to have the roof fully replaced. I was unable to proceed with the work at the time because the solar system wasn't working so Sunrun was unable to remove the panels.

By the time the system was fixed it was too late in the season for the roofing company to do any work. We scheduled all the work to be done this spring which was fine. This past spring, the panels were removed and my roof was replaced. When it came time to have the panels reinstalled, I was told they were booked a month out! I would have expected that with the work being scheduled literally the previous year they would have provided a better timeline. I was stuck with the panels in my garage for over a month and a half.

I finally had a crew out to reinstall the panels the other day and they were unable to complete the job. I've yet to be contacted to schedule the rest of the reinstallation and I have no confidence that it will be done anytime soon. On top of that Sunrun is trying to bill me for time in which the solar panels were not on my roof. I have not had the panels long enough to really say there has been any major cost savings on my utilities. Between the system not working and all the other hassle, I regret ever agreeing to a contract.

The sales representative from Sunrun promised things and they are included in the contract but then Titan Solar who was the installer said they wouldn’t do what was in the contract (the sub electric panel) until we actually add the room onto our house. It took several weeks before they were installed and then didn’t pass inspection because of the wiring not according to the plan. Then had to be reinspected by county and then APS wouldn’t pass it because they didn’t install the sub panel in the plans they had given APS.

We called the company and no one there did anything but pass the buck to the sales representative who promised to call back and of course didn’t. The solar finally gets working and then we are now told that we have to pay $7.50 more each month because we don’t want to pay automatic payments (never told that in the sales process) after them not being very reliable so far with anything we have been told. We highly suggest that you steer clear of this company.

The company will promise you the world and back to get a sale. The promise warranties on the roof, installation, etc, etc. Late last year we finally got the panels turned on after months of back and forth with inspectors and the city, etc, etc. 2023 in Los Angeles has seen record rainfall but even so, the panels were supposedly installed by code and the roof was fully inspected beforehand to make sure it was done correctly.

The year prior in 2022 and year before that we had no issues with roof leaks, it was only after getting the panels installed that we had roof leaks! So we call them and the give use the roundabout of roundabouts, sending us to phone number 1 and 2, setting days to call back, etc, etc. And the do get a guy over, one of theirs to inspect the installation and as expected: no issues. OF COURSE THEIR lackey is gonna say that! Why wouldn't they!

So now after much back and forth they want to charge us 4000$ to remove the panels so WE can pay to get the roof fixed. Like what!? How do these companies get away with this! Promises of this and that beforehand, guarantees on your roof, etc, and then as soon as you actually have a problem, it's YOUR problem to fix THEIR mistake! Garbage company, honestly companies like this are why people will lose faith in green technologies. If you get a salesman at your door, slam it in their face immediately! Signed up at Costco for free estimate. They were on time and polite. It was a good presentation. They were by far the most expensive out of my several estimates and not the best production guarantee. Of course every supplier says they have the best panels but who really knows. One issue that stuck was that according the kiosk man at the warehouse the Costco cash card was supposed to be 10% of the system cost, so in our case it should’ve been between $4k-$6k depending on which size system and how many panels.

Even with the bigger system the cash card was only going to be $1800 and the salesman did not know anything about the 10%. I had to ask my wife if I was crazy and she indeed confirmed that’s what the rep at Costco told us. I didn’t push it because once I saw their cost and production guarantee I had already decided I was not going to choose Sunrun as the other companies had more to offer at the higher the price points in way of panels and production. Just something to be aware of.

When I say worst decision ever; the absolute worst decision. First it took them a year to finally get the system up and going. During that time there was hardly any communication. When they turn on the system there was no communication. I just started to receive a bill. The system was turned on August of last year. To this very day the system is underperforming and have required someone to come out to the home almost every month. I am now paying more for electricity than I was before I had Sunrun. I have to pay both the electric company and Sunrun for electricity.

I'm being told I have to pay the bill because I signed a contract. I was told that if I don't pay my account may be taken to debt collection. I have also been told that my account could not be credited until they fix the problem and the system is fully producing. It has been almost 9 months and they still have not been able to get it fixed. My question is how long do they intend to have me paying for a service that I am not benefiting from.

This equates to the system only saving me enough money to pay for the lease. When I reached out to Sunrun in regards to the under generation, I initially received what equated to a brush off. An email informing me that my system was generating what it was supposed to generate, and that it was similar to other homes in my area.

When I pushed a little more firmly on the subject, I had two different company specialists inform me that Sunrun, supposedly, no longer services my area. However, other salespeople in my area still go through Sunrun for new lease agreements. WOW, I cannot say enough GOOD things about SunRun. When we signed our lease with Vivint, they said that there would be no cost to remove and reinstall our panels. However, we didn't get that in writing, we simply trusted their word. We were naive consumers, and I'd like to think I learned my lesson. However, when I explained the situation here on this platform, I had an immediate response from Kimberly **, a member of SunRun's Escalation Department. She and I both did additional research, and though the evidence against my case was damning, she wanted to ensure my confidence in SunRun and agreed to waive the 5K fee for removal and reinstall of the panels. I could not be happier to be a SunRun customer now. She was responsive, helpful and pleasant to work with throughout the process. I'm happy to report that good faith, reputable business practices and customer service are NOT dead, at least at SunRun.

We originally signed a lease agreement with Vivint a few years ago. Everything went fine and as expected. Then Sunrun bought Vivint. We now need to replace our roof. Vivint said that they would remove and reinstall the panels at no cost. They followed through with several of our neighbors on this promise before they were bought out. Now, with Sunrun, have the panels removed for a roof install costs $170 per panel, which is over 5K. There was absolutely no warning of this change to the policy. We are furious. Do not buy or lease solar panels from Sunrun.

Sunrun's installer in my area is Freedom Forever. They were my first point of contact. They never told me to contact Sunrun, in fact they tried to fix the leaks 4 times and then told me the leaks were not from the solar install. They removed the solar panels so I could have the roof inspected (at no charge). The leaks were definitely caused by how the mounts were installed. They never notified Sunrun that I had roof leaks and that the panels were removed to inspect the roof. Once the right person at Sunrun got involved the situation was resolved within 3 weeks. This is after Freedom Forever jerked me around for 4 months.

    Original Review: April 13, 2023

I have 2 systems installed by SUNRUN on my house. This past November I found water leaks from one of the systems. Systems are less than 1 year and 2 years old. Supposed to be a 10-year warranty against leaks. Their subcontractor tried to fix the leaks 4 times over 2 months. After the last time I received an email that said the leaks were not from the solar installation. In February we had a snowstorm. With snow on the roof there were leaks where both systems are attached to the roof. The solar panels were removed so we could get the roof inspected. Four roofers inspected the roof and showed me how shingles were cut at the mount points and the flashing was improperly done allowing water to get between the shingles and the roof decking.

We now have interior ceiling water damage. The manager of the Subcontractor's office came and inspected the roof in March and agreed with the roofers. He also stated that one row of the mounts was installed too close to the lower edge of the roof. This causes the roof to leak when snow starts to slide off the solar panels. It is now mid-April and I have no resolution to the situation, and they do not answer messages. No plan from SUNRUN or the subcontractor to remedy the situation. VERY poor customer service.

I own a 3 family with 4 meters and my salesperson said the solar would cover the entire property and it absolutely does not, so I'm paying more money than I was before having solar installed. Better yet, and this is my favorite, Sunrun sent a document for one of my tenants to sign when they're not the property owner or account owner, and if I was given the document I would have stopped pursuing Sunrun as a whole as it proved the solar would not be applied to the whole property. How could a "reputable" company 1 give false information, 2 send a document to someone that's not the property owner, 3 follow through with the installation, and 4 take over a month to get in contact with me? The roof work has been completed. We requested they reinstall the panels. They gave us a date of March 16 which was one month away. We were not happy with that much delay but accepted it. On March 16, nobody showed up to do the job (even though I called them on March 15 and was told they would come in the morning). We waited, and when they did not arrive, we called & were told they could not come that day & could not come until April 12.

On April 12 we waited for the installers. Again, no one showed up. We called and were told they could not come, & could not schedule us until May 18, another month. For each unkept appointment, we have cleared our calendar and waited for them to show up. They have not had the courtesy to call and tell us they were not coming. Not having our solar panels is costing us about $400 a month. We appreciate they may have some staffing issues, but waiting 4 months (we hope not longer) for the reinstallation is not very buyer friendly.

He then disappeared and I was unable to get a hold of him as soon as he got his commission check. If I can rate negative stars I would. First off they took 6 months just to install the solar panels. They kept calling to reschedule. I had to take time off of work every time. Whichever crew they subcontracted to install damaged our home in multiple areas and when I called to have them come and fix it they stated the damage is a liability from install and there was nothing they could do. Next nightmare is the usage wasn't even covering what they told me they would cover so I was paying a leasing payment to SunRun AND I paid OVER $1500.00 to my Electric Provider. What is the point of having solar when I am now paying double what I would pay normally. Without the Solar I paid less than that for the WHOLE YEAR!

Now we sold the house and have been out of the house for over 3 months and have been charged 3 PAYMENTS WHEN WE AREN'T EVEN IN THE HOUSE!!! Every single time I call customer service they state it was my last bill and yet the very next month I get charged again. Once I mentioned seeking legal actions I was hung up on. I call back and 4 times in 30 min I get hung up on. Both myself and my escrow company has escalated this issue to a manager and have gotten no calls, no emails, NOTHING. Our salesperson, Ethan was great. He was very knowledgeable and I challenged him many times with lots of questions and he impressed me. I sent him lots of questions after and each time he was very responsive and helpful. They came out and inspected our roof, which was over 20 years old, to first confirm that it had at least 10 years of life remaining. We really didn't want to re-roof to do this, so we were very happy when they told us the roof looked fine. So, within a few weeks, the solar panels were installed, which took less than a day. What takes longer is to get the city out to do an inspection and get permits, and then for PG&E to connect the system to their grid and go live. They told us from start to finish it would be roughly 6 months, but in the end, when we went live in August of last year, it had only been about 3 months. And when it went live, we still hadn't spent a penny and they gave us a $750 debit card just for signing up.

Once it goes live, you pay Sunrun directly for the energy that your system generates at a set rate. For us it was about .24 per kilowatt hour/kwh. By contract, PG&E was charging us between .35 to .40 per kwh and their rates were increasing by 15-25% a year, which is outrageous. So, on day 1, our electric rates were almost 50% less than PG&E and the contract limits annual increases to those rates by Sunrun to no more than 2.9%, as opposed to the 15-25% increases we've been seeing from PG&E. Yes, it doesn't impact natural gas rates, as that still comes from PG&E, but we've just replaced using our whole home gas furnace with electric space heaters (also bought at Costco), except when we have our kids home (who are all adults now).

For my wife and I, we weren't even doing this to save money, we just felt we should use clean energy to do our part in combatting climate change. We also own an electric car, so it feels great to be charging it using the sun. Oh yeah, and these crazy storms we've just had and all that heavy heavy wind? No leaks to our roof and the solar panels are continuing to work great. We were a bit worried about that, watching all those trees come down and things flying everywhere, but so far so good.

One of the best things Sunrun does well is a detailed explanation of the Solar installation process from start to finish. And you can all have it on paper sent to your email where you can review it to your heart's satisfaction. A good roof condition is a plus. Their financing is very attractive. Sunrun is very active where I live. I have seen five homes with completed solar installations within two blocks around me. They are very busy here in Southern California & one has to be patient. I have been a Costco member for nearly 20 years. Getting Costco's additional warranty is a plus. And if you are a member, you get quite a bit of reward from Costco. Many of the employees of Sunrun I came across were professionals. One in particular, Ms. Nichole is exceptional. She kept me up to date even when I was out of the country, on the far side of Africa.

100% DECEPTIVE AND IRRESPONSIVE COMPANY. If you are considering solar energy and hiring SUNRUN, please read my experience with this company, as well as others’ at **, where SUNRUN got 1.52 points out of 5.0 from 817 customers. I have been approached by a SUNRUN employee at COSTCO and I agreed to receive a NO COST/NO COMMITMENT consultation from SUNRUN. The next day, on April 07, 2023, a SUNRUN’s Solar Consultant visited my home. He explained how solar panels worked, provided me with an initial estimate for the service, yet to be confirmed when the roof was examined, and described the next steps, if I was interested.

When asked, he confirmed that all the steps were cost free and I had the right to decide if I would hire SUNRUN only after the assessment was completed and the final cost of the services were presented for my approval. In spite of that he tried to collect a $500 deposit, that I did not agree to pay. With his assurance that there was no commitment, I consented to have my roof inspected to get an accurate estimate for the service costs. To check if I qualified for the financing, I informed the consultant the last four digits of my SSN.

Without disclosing any terms, without my consent, and my knowledge SUNRUN consultant, from his computer, signed a service contract of $43,114.86 as well as applied for bank loan on my behalf. I am pretty sure that this completely illegal. I refused to sign the bank loan I received by email and he did not insist further. The next day, I received a copy of the contract with SUNRUN, unlawfully signed by SUNRUN consultant, without my knowledge. When I saw the contract, I immediately requested its cancellation, which I had, according to its terms, the right to do within ten days. The consultant contacted me assuring that the contract was terminated.

Suspicious of his word, a couple of hours after talking to the consultant, I called SUNRUN Customer service. This was on April 07, 2023, at 12:45 pm ET. Then, I learned that the contract had not been cancelled as I was told. Again, I requested the customer representative to cancel it immediately and email a confirmation of the cancellation. He said he cancelled the contract and emailed me a confirmation. Two hours later, I had not received the confirmation. I called SUNRUN customer service again, around 2:45 pm. This time, the customer representative said it would take 24-48 hours to process my cancellation request.

On April 10, I called SUNRUN again, and the contract had not been cancelled yet. This time, the customer representative agreed to send me an email that stated that SUBRUN was still working in the cancellation, provided me a case number (**,) and said it would take several days to complete the process. Besides multiples calls, I have contacted Costco, wrote a letter to SUNRUN president Mary Powell, had the case escalated to the superiors of the SUNRUN’s consultant who frauded me, and I simply cannot get the requested proof of cancellation of a contract with SUNRUN, that I have never signed. No one seems to care. So, the only thing I have left is to share my dreadful experience with SUNRUN in social networks, file complaints about the company, and seek legal advice. If you are considering changing for SOLAR ENERGY, read SUNRUN’s reviews on ** and YELP.

Enrolling with Sunrun was super easy. I gave my information to the guy at Costco. Then another guy called me, set an appointment, came to my home, and talked about how things might work. We decided to go ahead. Periodically, I would get a phone call or an email updating me with what was the latest. One day a crew was here, and they set it all up. They gave me a video for what to do when APS finishes their stuff to switch it on.

Initially, I thought the sytem was being more productive than it was because we've been in the home for one year and I got a refund of my deposit. I thought that was because I was creating so much power with my solar. But I realized it's not covering my full amount of electricity. It's not as productive as I was hoping. The salesperson deterred me from getting a battery system because he said it would be too expensive. I've got this app, and it's saving me money because I saved about $40 off my electricity bill. But my payment each month is gonna be about 120. So it’s increased my monthly bill electricity by about 80. I don't know if the reason it doesn't produce enough is because we underestimated how many panels I would need. I feel they undersold me, that they didn't give me enough panels and didn't sell me the battery system to do what I was hoping it would do.

It was 2019 when we decided to go with Sunrun. We had to add a second system last year because with the first system. we weren't getting enough coverage to cover all the electricity needs. I went back with Sunrun again. And I'm less than pleased with how that second experience turned out. The first system is 18 panels and the second system is 8 panels. And the way we decided on that was based on the electricity bills and what we thought our roof could accommodate. We took a large tree down, which is why we were able to put additional panels on this past summer. It took months of me contacting them to get them to come out and figure out whether or not I could put additional panels on the house. I kept telling people, "Look, there's trees down. We have a new roof that we can access to put the panels on." I've had different people contact me. I hardly was ever able to speak to the same person twice.

Wen we finally agreed on the panel installation, we were very eager for me to get it paid for and get it installed. So that installation got delayed a bit. They finally got it installed in July. I don't exactly understand what the problem was, but we never got a permission to operate until December. And it was not all on the City of San Diego side. The City of San Diego came out and had to come out three times to inspect what Sunrun had done, because they didn't have it right.

They didn't have the system connected properly. They didn't have the labels done properly, the way that the county or the city requires it. So, they had to come out multiple times. There were multiple delays. I kept getting repeated email notices saying that, "Your system is ready. Go out and turn it on." I was unable to do that, in spite of the fact that I am a smart person, contacted them, had a horrible interaction with the customer service person who treated me like I was an idiot. It took three times to get people to come out here before they figured out how to turn the system on.

When I finally got someone who was reasonable, which was in early December to come out and turn the system on, he said, "I've got it on. But there's something wrong with one of your panels." One of the panels. It took from December until two days ago when finally Sunrun called me. They sent someone out two weeks ago and were, "Your roof is too steeply and it's a two-person job."

Ten more days went by, they sent people out the end of this past week. They called me back and said, "We figured out what was wrong with the panel that wasn't working. It wasn't plugged in. We're really sorry. It's just when they installed it, they must have not plugged the panel in." I was, "Are you kidding?" I've been paying for electricity from SDG&E with panels sitting on my roof since July not working until a couple days ago. It's the worst customer service I've had in any experience that I've had in dealing with multiple homes.

She said she was doing a wellness check, and I said, "Great, I love that." But then, she didn't show. The installation was great. There was one flaw, and they came right back and fixed it. The guys on the ground seemed great, but I wanted to have a conversation about the bill. I got the bill from PG&E, and it covered electricity and gas, and I haven't straightened that out. So, I knew there was a conversation to be had.

I recommended Sunrun to my good friends, and they have paid off their house and their car. They even opened up a brand-new credit card to establish some credit, but Sunrun was awful with my friends. So, I don't recommend them to anybody else in my neighborhood. Also, I ran into the fellow who was selling Sunrun at Costco again, and I told him I was upset, and he took my name and number. He put it in his phone, and he said he would follow up, and he did not. Enrolling with Sunrun was very smooth. The time frame of installing and getting the system up and running took two to three times as long as they promised. It was always scheduling. The blame was it was ComEd. Then, when I called ComEd, they said that it wasn't scheduled. There was he said, she said and it was very frustrating. Once I pushed the issue, everything got scheduled quickly and was taken care of within two weeks in getting the system on. Then, it took another month and a half for ComEd to flip the switch.

So, my biggest gripe is you have to get approval from the utility company that you can get solar in your area. Once they gave their condolences and they approved the specs and the city approved it, ComEd should flip the switch right away. We shouldn't have to wait three to six weeks for them to flip the switch once it was already pre-approved and it was inspected from the building department or electrical department of the city of Chicago. So, I feel that ComEd and Sunrun work together, but ComEd wanted one or two more billing cycles.

I had the system set up on my roof and I couldn't use it for two months at the end of the summer and fall until winter came, and then they flipped the switch. That was frustrating on my end. To be fair, Sunrun gave me a courtesy credit for that, but they gave it to me an average of what the solar panels generated. The frustrating part is the solar panels didn't generate them at what it could have if they started two months ago. So, they took the average from my slower time of the year to base the compensation. If I did it the peak season, I would've got about three times the amount of money to offset it and that wasn't the case.

That took some time, and I realized the village I live in is a pain to deal with. Overall, it was good. With ComEd, their prices keep going up, and this compensates for it. On my account, I can track what I'm producing every day through the 12 months. As long as there's sun out, you can produce solar power, but if it's cloudy, you're not producing any. If you don't produce enough, they re-evaluate it for six months, then you put more panels on, which means you'll produce more solar power. Definitely look into Sunrun. If you're looking to lower your cost, this is one way to do it.

Other than that, Sunrun was very professional about all of it. They looked at what our annual usage was and tried to at least somewhat match that annual usage. And they allowed us to push back and say we don't need that much or we would like more. It was a six-hour install in total. They came in, knocked it out, and left. We put the panels on one side of the house where you don't see them. That was of one hope, that we didn’t have anything that was visible. The app's downfall is that it doesn't have what you have consumed, so it means a guessing game. But the app shows you the last day and the last week of what you've produced.

I went through the whole procedure of getting Sunrun's representative and explaining everything. After that, we signed up with them. Kyle was good. He was adamant about everything that we asked him. He gave us not only explanations but he was on top of whatever issues we're having. I thought it took too long, so I started bothering him. But he called me and let me know what the procedure would take and how long. So, there was a lot of ease of mind through him. The three installers came in, did their work and left. They were on it. It would take four to five hours but they knocked it out in a couple.

Sunrun seemed accessible. We talked to a guy in Colorado, gave us all the information. He was very pleasant. And it seemed safe. They got everything installed. They had to change out our electrical boxes because those were from 1951 when the house was built. So, those were all brand new and looks great. We have a Tesla battery on the side of the house and 12 panels. It took several months to get them activated because they needed to get the city to inspect it. But they finally got it activated in October.

The enrollment process with Sunrun was fine. Installation was quick and easy as one day. Our hiccups came with the city inspectors and getting all the designs and everything approved. That was the big delay. Sunrun was helping with communication. For the most part, it was really just them working with the city to get a day to come out and check. There's nothing we can do about it.

When we started it up, there was a problem with our battery discharging, and it took about a week. After that, everything started working fine. Then someone called to go over the app and the bills with me. I haven't called much but when I have had, if the reps didn't have the answers, then they were able to give me a call back within 24 hours. I do like Sunrun. We've already had maybe three power outages in our area since the installation, and we had power during those times. So, we're happy with it.

Signing up with Sunrun was easy. I changed plans a couple of times and settled on the one that I liked. It was pretty straightforward. The installers came out on time and did a pretty decent job, but there was a mix-up in the panels because they couldn't get the original panels that I contracted for because of shipping delays. They gave me better panels, but the permit was based on the old panels, so it was probably a month and a half delay before we could get it activated. Now that I have the solar panels, I hardly pay any electricity. I saved around $150 to $180 a month on electricity. I have a mobile app and a web app so I could see the following day for everyday usage.

The sales guy that we had was awesome throughout the whole process. He answered all our questions promptly. Whenever we send emails or give him a call, he was readily available to answer our questions. If he didn't have an answer, he went and got it and brought it back to us. The only thing I didn't like was, I have a flower bed on the side of the garage and they didn't take any precautions to protect that during the installation. They destroyed a lot of my flowers.

Also, they changed the route of how the lines were supposed to go. They had to dig a hole straight across the yard so it left a really ugly look. We had to fill that in. The other thing was we had a car in the garage and when they tore the roof off, debris fell all over the car in the garage. We weren't thinking that the debris was gonna fall through or else we would have moved the car. But once we discovered it, they put a tarp over it. Cost-saving-wise, I feel like we shouldn't have got Sunrun because I feel like it would have been cheaper without it. Our bill has gone down significantly and I know part of the reason why is because we have them. But I'm still paying the remaining balance off for ConEd.

I called the original guy and he said they would love to help me again. He sent me somebody else and they gave the estimate. We said, go, and we had a timeline. It didn't start promptly. We didn't pass inspection three times.

Also, nobody asked for payment in the very beginning, probably because I was already a customer and I paid the first ones. I did not pay at the beginning. Then, it was summer and I was not producing. They were costing me money. They said I hadn't paid yet. Finally, collections called and said I was supposed to pay at the time that they were installed. I said I'm not paying until I'm producing. The panels were sitting up there and we couldn't pass inspection. The rep called a second time and I told her again I was not paying and that if they send me to collection for this, I have lawyers in line ready to go. She never sent me to collections for that. I told them the minute I'm producing, I will pay in full and that's how it went down. It was just incompetence, the whole way around, and it was a very painful experience. They were too unprofessional. I've been in sales most of my life and I've never approached people in that manner. I brought that up to the sales representative and he may have brought it to her 'cause she didn't do it again. But the technician would say, "We can just come in your house. You can give us the code." That was rude. I don't give out codes to my house. I have another house that my separated wife lives in. I told her I wanted to put solar panels on that one. Sunrun fulfilled what they promised me. The first part of the enrolment was really good. I had a salesperson that came out, gave me the whole illustration, told me all the bells and whistles, and he explained everything great. He was very informative. He made me feel real comfortable. He answered all my questions. Initially, we were told that we were gonna get our solar done by a certain date, which we did. They did it a week prior, which was great. I had a great experience with that, but it took close to three months before they fired it up. During those three months, I had to incur my regular electric bill. On top of that, I was paying Sunrun a monthly fee of 278 every month. They didn't tell me that I was gonna have to be paying double on everything. So, I wasn't expecting that. That was a hardship on me.

I thought for sure I was gonna be done with SCE and here I was getting bills every month because my solar system was on the roof but it wasn't online yet because of some paperwork that they had to send with the city. The planogram didn't coincide with the plan, and that part was a headache because I had to pay for electricity and solar. I check what's being produced energy-wise on my app, which is on my phone. I like the site a lot. It’s self-explanatory. Overall, my experience has been really good. Everything's online. Everything’s producing solar. I'm very satisfied with the product. The Sunrun representative I worked with was very responsive. They were very attentive to getting my job signed off. They got the stuff installed. They had it inspected. There were some issues on it with the DOB billing department. But they came back and addressed the issue. However, I had to put an electric outlet for my car as part of my construction. It eats up some of the power that I'm getting from the solar panels. What they did was they took the past usage and said, “Okay. Here is what we can give you.”

Then going forward, the city required me to have solar panels on my roof and it also had me to put an electrical station for a car charger. Now that I have an electric car, it bumps it up another 20% on power usage. It was not taken into consideration. Now when I would look at the bill, I'd say, “Why aren't I getting the savings I thought I'd be getting?” It's because of my car usage and that needs to be explained a little better. But otherwise, it's been very good.

I had solar panels installed years ago on a partial house. They couldn't use the back of the house at that time because of the way the solar panels were made. The system doesn't do the job. I called Sunrun up and they came out. They did a full survey again and they said they can put panels on the back of my house. I asked why couldn't they do that 10 years ago and they explained. The guys that came up that did the install were a great group. I was one of the lucky ones that got to have a good group of guys that work well with each other. They knew what they were doing. The installation plan was not correct so it took them a couple of hours to get that squared away. Once they got the plan in place, they went up in a day and a half.

You can go online and they show you a daily information. My issue was, from the time they installed it to the time my local township approved it, I lost the whole summer when I would have got the most benefit out of it. My electricity bill is way down. The system's working but it's not producing enough to overcome what the house uses because it's wintertime and there's no sun.

UPDATED: I paid $800 towards my balance within the last 30 days. Sunrun will not apply payments to past due invoices. I'm not even 30 days late on February's payment. I think really owe around $250 perhaps. Well, they deactivated my account yesterday. What a nightmare. Solar City put me on a payment plan to catch up! I had Covid twice and couldnt work. Sunrun cant help with this? I guess not.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I became a Sunrun customer years ago with no issues. I got behind on bills having COVID twice this year. I owed Sunrun just over a $1000. I paid $600 towards my balance this month to prevent deactivation. I asked for a payment plan since Tesla gave me one due to my illness. A supervisor called me today and said that Sunrun doesn’t offer payment plans and that regardless of my payment that my system will be scheduled to be deactivated after Jan 30 if I didn’t pay around $750. His position was absolute with no empathy. The cost of living isn’t easy especially being ill with COVID! I lowered my balance within the 120-day allowance before disconnection. The billing clerk told me by paying today that it would give me two weeks before deactivation. However, the supervisor said that isn’t true. This is very stressful.

When the fellow came out and installed the meter on August 25th of last year was when there was the ability to record the difference. And when the Sunrun app became operational the day after, so it would give you your daily generation. Because August and September were still peak production months, I was surprised about how it offset the electrical bill for that first couple months. I was impressed.

Sunrun's communication was good. But it could have been better. I sat down with the sales rep back in March of 2022. She probably didn't know all the specifics. But I was under the impression at the end of March of 2022 that the installation process would have occurred a bit more rapidly. And there was a lack of communication on as to far as when all this would happen. From signing the contract in the early part of March of 2022 to having a fully functional system at the end of August of 2022, it took longer than what I expected.

The crews that came out to install the system were good. We didn't get the initial installation until July. They came out, put the panels on and put everything that they could together. The inverter was not available until a month later. Another crew came out and finished the installation. And that was at the first part of August. And it kind sat there for three weeks until Xcel decided to make an appearance.

I understand that there are delays with permitting and with supply chain issues etc. But a bit more detailed communication and say, "Hey, we got your contract. We got this. Don't expect anything for three months. We're not gonna be scheduling things out for three months." The next week, one of their planning guys showed up to do a house inspection to make sure that the roof was capable of carrying the load, that the electrical service was would be adequate. So I figured, "That was pretty quick." The guy was out here the next week. But after that, things dropped off and I didn't hear anything until the project manager called me in June and said, "Will July 8th work?" And I said, "Well, I guess so."

The system was designed to produce so much power and that Sunrun guarantees that their system will produce that. That's not gonna happen until August of this year to see in fact if their production estimate is gonna actually be accurate. But they sent out these little maintenance tips. It says, “When your panels get dirty, spray them off with water from the ground. We really don't want you going up on the roof and endangering yourself and everything,” which is good advice. But they did not mention snow removal. We'll get more snow than typical in Denver. Also, it has been sticking around longer than it usually does.

I purchased a Poly snow rake basically because I'm not gonna get up on the roof with snow on it. It snowed in December 28th and it snowed here about a foot. And for 10 days there, there was no production for me because there's no sunlight to get through the snow. I'm now able to clean those panels off from the ground, so I'm not endangering myself. But that works well. Maybe mentioning that in their maintenance brochure may be helpful. As soon as I cleared the snow off the panels, they started producing again. So, we're still good.

I've recommended Sunrun to several people. I have two daughters and I showed them my electric bill after the installation was complete. They were shocked. I also recommended it to the neighbor across the street. She came over and asked how it was working. Also, my stepson was in from Florida, and he asked if Sunrun operated in Florida. And I found out that they did. So, I sent him the contact information.

We're having a horrible experience with Sunrun. We kinda regret getting solar panels. We had a big issue where the first original order was not producing enough. We had three different visits to come and check the equipment. We don't know anything about solar panels. We downloaded the app on our phone, but nobody really taught us how to read it. We didn't do enough homework on it ourselves.

I have a $5,000 Edison bill and I am still paying for my solar panels because they refused to help. Their reason being that we should have checked the equipment. We had so many people come and go. One of the guys came on Saturday morning. He was a trainee. I overheard them telling him what to do. With that being said, the last people that came out was because we had to add additional panels because the original ones weren't producing enough.

The process with Sunrun took a long time. They couldn't connect the system with ComEd and my HOA went through it before they activated my system. There were a lot of moving pieces and looking back, it was expected that it took that long, it just felt like it took longer than it should have. Other than that, my experience with Sunrun was great. The guys who came in went up top to the roof and installed the panels. Everything was seamless and went exactly according to plan. They cleaned up after themselves and they were pretty much done within a few hours which was the amount of time they wanted it to take.

I have also noticed a lower monthly bill and so far, I'm saving a good amount of money. But I didn't realize that I'd be getting a separate bill from Sunrun for the rental of the equipment. That was something that I misunderstood as I thought the rental equipment was also included in the ComEd bill. But that's not a big deal. They could also improve their communication on when you'd start seeing x amount of dollar decrease based on the amount of panels they put in. A little articulation on how much you're expected to save would be better. Apparently, you're going to save 50 bucks a month from your electric bill, but the rental of the panels was 20 bucks a month. So, the savings is really going to be $30 overall.

Albuquerque, New Mexico. $26,000 regret. AVOID. My system was installed on April 25, 2022. The installers did their work and left. No discussion. I was working in the home the entire time. I went out and noticed there were two issues.

    1. They installed equipment in an unapproved location. The site plan that they gave to me did not show installation of electrical equipment on my patio where my kids play. They installed one of the pieces there despite there being sufficient room per electrical code on the other side of the house around the corner where they installed the other components.

    2. They accidentally knocked my irrigation control box off of my house. Instead of saying anything, they just balanced it back up on the holes, not installing it, so essentially hiding their damage and did not say a thing.

Since then. So 9 months, I've had multiple representatives from Sunrun come out to review this issue. I've also have supervisors review this issue virtually. All of them have claimed fault and have promised to move my one random component. It is now January of 2023 and there is no movement. In fact, multiple cases have been open with Sunrun. The cases will show open for months and then randomly be closed without resolution. No one can tell why. Instead they will open a new case and the circle begins again.

Note that to fix this issue, it would take Sunrun less than one hour. It is literally 10 screws maximum. I would do it myself however the Sunrun warranty explains that all work must be completed by Sunrun, so naturally I want to protect my 26-thousand-dollar investment, not that I have confidence in their warranty or service. Aside from this. They advertise being able to capitalize on the state tax credit however they refuse to provide the necessary documentation required by the state in order to claim the credit. Avoid.

The return on investment wasn't anywhere near what we thought it would be. Sunrun was very interested in moving forward, which suggested to me that there was probably more benefit for them than was laid out to me. The front of our houses is like full day sun. But I know that our roofline has some weirdness. It's not a straight roofline. So it may not be ideal. But this was one of those things where they collect the energy, then they use and sell the energy, and then they give us a discount on the energy that we're using. But that was not what I was looking for. I was looking for an arrangement where I get to use the energy I recoup, and then I sell back whatever I don't use at a significantly discounted price. I wasn't looking for something where I was going to save six cents a kilowatt.

I did the math and I was gonna save about $600 a year. It was an estimate and it wasn't based on reality. But that's not enough for me to go through this whole process of doing it. Then either next year or the year after that, we're gonna have to redo the roof, which means I gotta pay to take the stuff down, put a new roof on, and then put it back. The math didn't seem to work out. Now, I have other friends in town that have done solar installations. But they're using the energy themselves. Candidly, I'm looking for that type of situation.

Sunrun was responsive, helpful and informative. It was all good with the people that I met with and spoke to. But they were trying to rush me through. They wanted to run a credit report. They needed me to sign on the dotted line for things and they would say, “Oh, no, no. This is just so we can kind of have somebody come out there, but we don't send somebody out there to do the formal measurements and the formal calculations until we run a credit report and we do X, Y, and Z and we have you sign this sign that.” I wasn't comfortable but they kept pushing that. Then they even called after that. So it started off very good but then it quickly shifted once they sensed that I wasn't all in.

This company should not be in business. They did a great job selling us the product, however once installed, the panels were not working correctly. Their customer service has been despicable. We called them numerous times to come and look at the panels. Finally, they came 3 different times. The first 2 times, the technicians were completely clueless and could not conclude the issue. During their third visit, they determined their converter was fried.

The installation happened in April 2022. It is now January 2023. Even though we are not technically receiving service, we continue to be charged $111 per month. Customer service says "there is nothing we can do." They say this is because there is no inventory. YET, they somehow have enough inventory to continue installing for new customers. The contract is set to run for 35 years and we are locked in with no way out.

This is a completely BACKWARDS policy and should be ILLEGAL. They cannot even pause the payment. They say that once they gain inventory and replace the panels, they will reimburse the money that was taken for the time service was not being provided. This is hard believe based on what we have seen so far. DO NOT sign up with Sun Run. It is a complete scam. Something we have never encountered before.

I sent her a private message and that was it, No phone calls, no emails. No response at all from Sunrun. You just cannot shame them enough to make them tick. I had started the process of getting a technician on the 12/03/2022. It is 38 days already. My house is leaking like a sieve and Sunrun doesn't care two hoots about you or your property as the only care they have is to make a sale. After a sale,... crickets. Original Review: I can see all you new customer are very happy with the quick installation. I contacted Sunrun and I talked to a rep on 12/07/2022.

I knew our warranty was for 10 years. The lady insisted it was for 5 years. I asked them for a copy of my contract. If the warranty was for ten years Sunrun would be responsible to repair the leak. Surprisingly the contract could not be found for 7 to 9 days. When it was finally sent to me it was differed with what I had paid for. I insisted the warranty was 10 years but the lady said otherwise. I reminded her I got a quote in September 2022 from Sunrun to add more panels and the warranty is 10 years but she would not agree.

I must have contacted Sunrun almost 7 times between 12/07/2022 to 12/27 20222 before I finally got an appointment on the Thursday 12/29/2022 for a technician to come remove my five panels so that my roofer can come check my leak. I was promised a technician for 17 January 2023. If you do the math that is 40 days to get a technician from Sunrun. With the heavy rains, we are experiencing for the last three weeks all my ceilings, carpets, bedding, documents, etc. are damaged just because Sunrun could not provide a technician for 40 Days. On May 16, 2022, Sunrun removed my solar panels for new roofing and were scheduled to reinstall the panels on June 28, 2022. The unexperienced install team was a complete disaster-after installing and uninstalling several times over a period of three months, they completely destroyed my brand-new roof. I was informed the entire team was fired and Sunrun paid for another new roof. After the new roof was completed in November, I reached out to Sunrun to request new panels to be reinstalled as the old ones have a lot of wear and tear due to the unexperienced team throwing them around and scratching them through our concrete driveway.

As of today's date, I have yet to speak to a manager who can assist me in resolving this issue. The solar panels are still sitting in my yard and now Sunrun is billing me when there is no energy generating from the panels. I have spoken to over 5 different people and now a new case manager name John who assured me his manager will contact me and of course she has not. This has been the most stressful situation ever! I just want someone at Sunrun who has the authority to resolve my issue or let me out of this contract so I can go with someone else. I’ve never had such horrible customer experience under Vivint Solar-wished they never sold the company to Sunrun.

I was so excited to finally purchase my solar panels. The entire experience has been so stressful. I can’t get consistent answers from anyone in the company. Everyone has a different answer for the same problems. My solar panels were up and supposedly running for a month. I kept calling the company telling them that their app wasn’t showing any production. Finally after multiple calls someone came out and it was found no one had turned the system on after I was assured it was turned on. I wish they could take them back and I could find a more responsible company. It seems like they have very little employee training starting with sales all the way through. There was no option for “0” stars so I had to give them a one star rating.

His recommendation was to a purchase system versus a PPA or purchase power agreement. The numbers, however, just weren't there.

2 Things happened this year. One is that we had a leak under our solar panels, and the other was that our inverter for the panels wasn't functioning properly. Sunrun couldn't handle our having 2 problems, let alone tackle one. My husband called Sunrun 12 times over a few months' period with promises that Sunrun would get back to us. Finally, Sunrun sent out a team to remove the panels so we could fix the leak. The team came out and said they couldn't remove the panels because they didn't have the correct tools because our panels were "so old" (we've had our panels for 8 years) that they stopped making those tools anymore.

Two months later, a team came out to take the panels off - which was great. Except, to this day (December/9 months) no one has showed up to fix the inverter, despite several no-show appointments. Without the inverter functioning, we aren't getting any solar power. Instead we are having to get power from the regular grid, which will end up costing us around $2000, which normally would be $0 if Sunrun had come and sent someone to fix it. And our panels aren't put back either after we had the leak fixed. My husband has talked to so many people and has called and emailed so many times (about 50 attempts overall) - Sunrun has shown itself to be completely incompetent and unreliable.

Sunrun is one of the largest companies in the industry. I spoke to four different solar companies and the parts with some of the other solar companies, but I did not like them. What I got, was purely just a sale. Sunrun at least made more sense of what they were saying, the way they said it. Even when I met the sales rep, I got the same thing, it was a sale, but genuine. There was great eye contact and energy.

For the original installation, we needed to get a roof as well. So, part of Sunrun that I also liked was they had a roofing company attached to them when they took over. I liked the idea that you have one place where you could hold someone accountable and responsible. The tough part about it was, to get the roof installed, I had to go through my homeowners' association, which has nothing to do with Sunrun, but that was very frustrating. I finally got that all approved, but then it still took six weeks after that to get the roofing done.

When the installation of the solar came on, they destroyed the new roof and broke the new roof. So, we had to get the secondary roof installed, which was very frustrating. The saddest part of all was, for the first installation, I paid for my family, to get out of here, knowing how bad and funky it was going to be. That was a couple of thousand bucks out of my pocket just to get them out so we didn't have to deal with that. But then, they had to deal with it the second time around, which I appreciate Sunrun saying, "We knew we're the ones that screwed it up. We'll cover this cost, all of that." But to me, it would be the waste factor and the timing factor that was very disturbing.

They had great installers. I enjoyed the original roofing people and the secondary roofing people, yet we found nails and broken tiles for weeks throughout the garden. Some of the plants got squished too. Then, after all of that, they installed two-thirds of the solar before they had to leave to work on other projects. And it was my continuous follow-up, till we finally got someone to come back out again to put the rest of the solar panels on. It was a full year after we signed the contract before we got solar.

I did not even get the answers that I had requested to know how to use Tesla's power cells until just two weeks ago and just kept being referred to other people. I finally got referred to Tesla themselves and that actually has been my best call. But I appreciate my sales rep, who unfortunately is no longer with the company. His follow-up was amazing. He was the one that kept me in the loop. Even though he was on medical leave, he would still call me or text me.

We battled with Sunrun for 9 months. In brief, they don't use a stud finder to find the joists, they instead drill multiple holes in the roof to find the joist. We had water leaking from a dozen spots in a new roof. They took the panels off to have the roofing company put on a new roof, then reinstalled the panels the same exact way. After the first rainstorm, water was dripping from multiple spots. We had to fight to get the panels removed and off our property, then have the roof repaired again.

Your initial experience might be decent, but when it comes to issues later, Sunrun will try to wear you down by refusing to get back to you, sending you to multiple different people who then send you somewhere else. You'll only see contractors, and multiple different contractors. We had to make a complaint to the BBB before we could get any help. Go with a local company that gets good reviews, because they will actually care if their customers are happy, unlike Sunrun who will take your money and run. Honestly, it's so predatory.

If we hadn't persisted despite all their roadblocks, we'd have endless water damage. I can't imagine how an elderly person, someone with disabilities, or anyone short on time or energy could have dealt with this and been made whole. This process took up most of this year and gave us so much anxiety and anger. Also, throwing away a perfectly good roof is not environmentally sound. They have no ethics and are filling landfills with their mistakes.

Sunrun was very professional in working with me. We ended up having to have units that would come in and upgrade my electrical service to the outside box. But other than that, it was a very good process. I'm very impressed with their crew and the work they did. For the summer months, Sunrun has done beautifully. I know with permits, that can take forever. But it has been such a night-and-day difference from the first company that we had talked to, that there are a couple friends of ours who are looking to go solar too. I said, “When y'all are ready, let me know, because this company has been so great to work with.” I could not be happier with how things have worked out so far. It has been seamless and quick.

The overall explaining of what we needed and why we needed was very easy to understand and it made sense. We knew we got good sunlight because we don't have tall trees obstructing our view. We get sunlight from 8 o'clock through 4:00 throughout different points of our roof. And even in our backyard, we have good visibility. So, once Kyle from Sunrun drew up the design and showed us what was what, I said, “All right. Let's do it.” The 21st of December is our install date, which is further out than we thought it would be, but still, before we're kicking on the heater in the Chicago weather. So, I'm happy with it. Go with Sunrun.

The guys were all good but there was stuff left over everywhere, which you normally wouldn't find with a local contractor. And we had just painted our house and they were using their ladders to get up on the roof. I had to repaint where they had their ladders against the roof because they were doing raw metal-edged ladders instead of running a pad along it. Then Sunrun came direct to me and I pointed out that under the Costco program, I should get $2,000 or $3,000 worth of Costco cards. I ended up getting 500 and then they said, “Well, we’re gonna give you another 500,” which still didn't make up the difference. So I didn't get what was promised with the cards. I called up the district manager and he wasn't cooperative, and just left it at that. I called Sunrun, and they said, "Oh, yeah, we're gonna open a case, see what happened." But until today, nobody called me. Also, the guy who did all the paperwork said, "Oh, I'm gonna give you $1,000, I think, $1,000 gift card." But they never gave me anything. I called 100 times, but he never picked up the phone again. After we've closed the deal and they installed the solar panel, he never answered the phone again.

From the very beginning, we had a really good salesperson that we felt really comfortable reaching out to. There were some times when communication was lagging, and we reached out to him to say, “Hey, what's going on?” He was able to get us in contact with a person right away. So even though we had some of those delays that we felt were a little bit lengthy at times, Sunrun was good about making sure that they kept us up to date of what was going on. It was mostly about making sure that they had received our information or we had received theirs, and everybody was on the same page.

Southern California Edison flipped the switch in June, which was really timely with the high price of electricity during the summer. We are absolutely thrilled that we made that next step because of not only the cost savings, but my husband has a Tesla, so it helps to charge it. It was really a good decision. Our only regret was that we weren't able to afford it sooner.

Technically, Sunrun is good. But overall, the organizational part was horrible. My marketer left after two months of signing the contract. I was left with nobody who could help and I didn't know where to go or whom to speak with. Communication was horrible. I had a team coordinator who barely was communicating with me. It was hard to find somebody. But they did the inspection and the technical part, but not the management. It was horrible experience.

Then they assigned me to somebody else who was also barely explaining. He doesn't even know what's going on in my case. He called me saying, "You have to pay us like $8,000." I said, "We already spoke about it. It's included in the breakdown." Then he said, "Okay. I have to review the file. I didn't know that. I have to see that." I said, "Why did you call me if you don't know anything?" I tried asking questions but he wasn't aware. I was aggravated with that and there was nobody to communicate with. That part was awful for me.

Home Depot and Costco are backing Sunrun up and those two big names made me go for them. But I made a mistake. They installed my system in June and until now, my system is not working. I keep calling them to come and every day, today, tomorrow, they say they are going to come. They keep on rescheduling an appointment to come and fix it and they give me an appointment on the 19th, then the 25th, and this time, on November 1st. To my knowledge, my system is working and producing. Their promise says that it's going to be a zero from your bucket or $20. I didn't even pay attention to the bill I received on the disconnection notice and Con Edison turned off my electricity. I end up paying almost $3,000 to restore it from June until now.

Sunrun is still taking their bill. They deducted the monthly payments direct from my bank. Plus, I'm paying the electric bill. I’m supposed to save but I end up paying double. When I tried to call and get a supervisor on the line or to help, all I get is a representative and they tell me stories and apologies. Sorry is not gonna work. They're gonna have to reimburse me for everything from June until October. That's the production month of the year, during the summer. And now, I get nothing. Sunrun better take care of it and if they don't compensate me good, I'm gonna sue them. Plus, winter is entering and I got zero credit production from their system for the winter. So, I will end up also being on Con Edison bill again and their bill. I'm getting the worst experience ever.

We met with the sales and servicing rep initially. He did a great job of walking us through the process, reviewing it with us, and making sure that any of our questions were answered. He was very responsive during as well as afterward by text. He was also very honest and transparent in answering questions that we had. When it came to the installation, the installers were very professional. Without being prompted, they took great care in making sure that the system fits in with the home. They did not complete the installation in one day because they wanted to hide some of the lines for the equipment. They didn't have a very special tool, which they normally didn't need, to complete the installation. So they followed up separately to do the end of the installation in a way that would not take away from how the home looks. So I was very pleased with that.

Before the install, there had been random moments where the electricity would flicker on and off. But since we have gotten the solar installed with a battery, we have not seen that happen at all. So it has really stabilized the energy for the home, not having to completely rely on the grid. We've been very happy with that. Sunrun was very confident that in the future, we would see a reduction in the energy production, or if our energy needs increases, we could easily add additional panels with the way that they set up and organized it. They also made sure that the panels they picked had the least amount of degradation over time compared to the panels that others had shown us.

The installers did the installation of our Sunrun fast. The electrician came out and had an apprentice with him. The apprentice messed something up. So the guy had to come back the second day. But he knew his stuff and got me rewired, put in a whole new box for us. We just got our first negative power bill. APS, which is our power company here, tacked on all kinds of fees. So the first two months, we produced 15% to 25% more than our house use. But we still had a $75 bill because of all their fees, which wasn't ideal. However, that was when we were using a lot more power. Ours is gas. So in the wintertime, our electric needs dropped. The system, even though the sun isn't way up like it is in the summer, is still producing enough that we overproduced. We had a credit this month, which is cool.

I also felt really good about doing the lease program with them and letting them get the refund, especially knowing that I'm working with a company that in 10 years, if something happens, they'll replace it with the current standard for quality. They're not going to try and find old panels to replace old panels with. Everyone also kept me informed because of the delays that we had. The service is working great. I'm getting exactly what they said I would and I'm paying exactly what they said I would. I couldn't be happier. Because that's about a third of what I was paying before.

Right now, I'm not happy with Sunrun. I'm having problems. They came out here, they checked my house, and they told me it was in perfect condition for the panels. They put the panels up. They told me that they were totally responsible for the panels for the next 25 years, and I would just pay so much a month. Now, my homeowners’ insurance went out of business. My homeowners’ insurance was $2,500. New homeowners’ was gonna be $6,000 because I have an old roof. I called Sunrun up and said, “You put these panels on an old roof and you did not tell me the roof is old. It's 18 years old and maybe I should get a new roof first." I trusted them. They said their guy came out here to check my roof, it was in great condition, no problem. But now, I need a new roof.

Sunrun told me they want to charge me $150 per panel to take them down so I can get a new roof and put them back up. I called them up and I fought with them. The girl that was supposed to be helping me said, “All right, I spoke to the manager. They understand your problem. They said if you get a new roof and the next three years, they'll be responsible for taking the panels down and putting them back up.” I got a roofing company. They're going to do it. I was now going to get in touch with Sunrun because I read that it takes 45 days. We have to make everything work in timing for them to take them down. I said, “I didn’t get that writing yet. You told me you’re gonna send that to me in writing?” The rep said, “There’s been a mistake. They will not be responsible for taking the panels down and putting them back up. That is your responsibility.”

I fought with them again. She came back to me, because I said, “I’m gonna get a lawyer. This is not right. How did you put these up on an 18-year-old roof and tell me everything was okay? I’m on Social Security. I'm an 81-year-old woman. I don't know these things. I trusted you.” She said, “Okay. We'll pay 50%.” I said, “All right. Tell me how many panels I have and what's going to be my cost?” She said, “I have to get back to you. That's not my job.” But, I haven't even heard back from them yet as to what it was going to be.

Initially, Sunrun came out and did an evaluation of the property before they could even install the panels. The guy was on my roof looking at things, and he took pictures and sent notes to the team. They realized that I needed to get an upgraded electrical panel. A couple of months later, someone came out. They were supposed to redo the electrical panel, but unfortunately, they couldn't do it. So the guy, just took one look at it and said, "There's no way I could do this by myself. This required a team." He explained the task. They told me he had to run a line, a ground wire from the panels to the water line to the water heater. It was a long path, so, with one guy here doing it, he wasn't able to do it on its own. So they had to hire out and get a team out.

Unfortunately, I signed the contracts for the panels to get Sunrun in August. That first guy didn't come out till January, and then he said, "Someone will call you in a couple of days." But I didn't get any communication. I had to keep calling them. They came out. They had to remove a gate that I had, and they weren't sure if they were gonna be able to replace it or not. Some of them said they could, someone said they would have someone else come out. But still, to this day, my gate is still off of my wall, and there's access to my backyard still from that, and that was six months ago. They had to saw the gate off because it was welded to the ground, to the cement and they took that off.

They did the panels and their electrical work was good. They asked me what I needed, what I wanted, and they tried to make it best to my request. They did a good job. They mentioned someone was gonna come out and paint the rods, the steel that they were running the pipe through the master house. But no one ever came out to do that. But overall, the panels work and there's no fire.

My bill has been much lower. I was under the impression that I was not gonna get a monthly bill with Edison anymore, but I've gotten two, so far. They said I was gonna get a yearly bill. I even had them change the contract to say that. Because that was what they were telling me the whole time, "You won't get a monthly bill anymore. You'll get a yearly bill and then the credits will kind of balance themselves out. If not, you'll either get a positive or a bill." But my last bill before panels was $400, and the one that just came in was 60 bucks, so much better.

I got two batteries through Sunrun, and one of the big reasons why I got the batteries was because there's a rebate that is worth about $4,000 that the consumer is supposed to get. But, Sunrun is telling me that Sunrun gets that rebate. So I pay for the panels, I pay for them to get installed, and then Sunrun gets the benefit of a $4,000 rebate.

I talked to a sales rep about the rebate and how I would be able to be 100% not relying on the grid, and he said, "You need to have a battery." I said, "I use my AC a lot." He said, "Well, you need two." I said, "Okay. That's good, but it's expensive." So, he mentioned the rebate. Even on Sunrun's website, it says, "SGIP rebate. You can qualify for it." Then, on the contract, it says, "All state and local rebates go to Sunrun." When I asked the rep about that, I said, "I don't wanna give my rebate to Sunrun. I need that to help me pay for the bill." He said, "No, that is regarding the federal rebate that has to do with the loan." It was a completely different state rebate that I qualified for.

    Reviewed Oct. 10, 2022

I'm completely dissatisfied. I'm so absolutely at a loss. I am locked into a system that I completely regret in choosing Sunrun. I wish I would have been better informed by the company. From the beginning, we initially chose to go with Sunrun. Our issues began with the first salesman. He came out in August of 2021. He told us he had worked for the company for some time, that he knew what he was doing, and that he would walk us all the way through. He worked 24/7. He sold us the best. He said that the company was very good and that we were making the right choice.

What we informed him was, we were in the process of buying a pool for the house, and that we are gross wasters when it comes to electricity inside the home. We like to run our AC 24/7. We bought an AC that's rated over what we needed for the house just to ensure that it stays cold. We want to pay for it, so let us have it. Oversell us on the panels because I wanted to ensure everything would be covered, and we'd never have to pay an electric bill. Because we don't want to pay electric and solar. We wanted everything on one bill. We wanted the solar to zero out the electrical bill.

We were a month or two in, and he sent me the plans where my panels are on the front end of my house. I told him, I'd seen people in my same neighborhood with the house facing the same way and the panels are in the back of the house. I told him that it was not what I wanted. I wanted mine in the back. Solar panels are an eyesore, regardless of the cost. If other people have it in the same direction, that must mean that solar works just as well on the other side. He continued to tell me it was absolutely not going to work that way. I said, "But if you look, my house is facing east and west. So it's either gonna get it at the back end of the day or the beginning of the day."

He informed me that that was not an option. It has to go on the front end of my house due to weight capacity. My husband said, "Just sign off on it so we can get it over with because of COVID, because of everything just falling behind. Just do it." That was November, and then even at the beginning of January, I heard nothing, zero communication. I was sending out emails and texts to said person, but nothing. Finally, my husband said, “We signed a contract. They already ran our credit. We were good to go. So contact customer services.”

We contacted customer service and spoke with a customer service rep/manager. They said, “We're going to fix it and send out another salesman.” They did. But the same thing happened again. 30 days, no communication. Reached out again, “What's going on with my stuff?” The rep said, “Oh, the salesman doesn't work here anymore.” I said, “That happened with my last one.” The company should have some continuity. The next salesman should be informed. But there was none of that. I reached out again and I said, "Why am I doing this? This is not my job. This is what I'm paying you to do. You guys are supposed to be reaching out to me and letting me know where I am in this entire process of getting solar put up." We were looking February timeframe already.

I was on salesman number three at the end of January timeframe. I am told the number of panels that this guy projected and that I need to over-project to cover said costs of a pool. So we even looked up online what it would cost to cover how many panels. The salesman said, “No, you're good. Whatever you have projected is correct to cover everything, plus this new pool coming in, plus your new lights on your back patio, plus, your little house running in the backyard. Everything is covered.” Okay, I said. Now another issue is, he tried to get the permits. I didn't even have permits yet. They hadn't even moved on to the permitting portion. We're six months in and I'm still nowhere. My credit was approved. That's as far as we had gotten at that point.

Fast forward again, the third salesman got fired. Now, I'm working directly with and only with managers and customer service representatives. Finally, my customer service manager got someone to work with me. I finally got someone to put my panels on the back of the house like I initially wanted. We're moving forward. We got permits and we're fully ready. We signed our third entire contract with Sunrun. I am on my third contract, completely resigned with Sunrun.

He said, "We're gonna move forward with this one. It's all done, we're good." We had to get the electrical because they were going to upgrade my panel. Because of whatever the case, it was thrown into the package because I needed it. They got the company out. Then the company completely forgot to come out. So, now we're sitting at the beginning of May of 2022. I called the electrical company that was going to be upgrading my electrical panel and they said, “Oh, yeah, we're not even tracking to be doing this.”

I called Sunrun again, and I called the electrical on three-way. I said, “Can I get my house finished?" That weekend, they came in and installed the panels. They upgraded the panels and did the digging. Because permits were good, finally. They had done permitting through April. But then fast forward two weeks, this company didn't call back. I got a big hole on the side of the front of my house that I have just had re-stucco in 2019.

I called Sunrun and they said, “You got to deal directly with that company. They're the ones that did it.” I called them and they told me, “No, you need to deal with Sunrun.” I said, "I’m done. I'm not playing. Y'all get your ** out here and fix my house.” So they finally brought themselves out. They fixed my house, somewhat. There's no color match. It doesn't look good. My electrical panel wall is supposedly done, but it looks like trash. It’s in front of my house. I spent so much money and this is how the front of my house looks right now.

They came and sent the electrical panels. I called Sunrun back and I said, “They finished the electrical panel. Y'all coming out?” They said, “Oh, we weren't notified that it was completed.” I said, “It's completed. Can you all come to put my panels on?” They said, “Yeah. We’ll set up an appointment.” Fast forward, we’re into May now. They put the panels up. That was quick. It was all done in one day. But, for whatever reason, they still stuck the pipe up through the front of my roof, and ran the big old pipe through the front on the top of my roof, even though everything else was in the back. So whatever the case, I wasn't gonna fight it. It's done. Took about three weeks to get operational.

I don't get an electric bill and I don't get a solar bill through the month of June. Everything got finally set in July, and I got my first bill in July. I get a $500 electric bill in July, and I still got my regular $127 solar bill in July. So, I freaked out. I was on the phone with both customer services. Southern California Edison told me, “It's Sunrun’s deal. You got to deal with them.” Sunrun said, "No, it's Southern California Edison." I figured out it was both of them.

I got to the bottom of it. It was May’s bill that they had miscalculated, so they had to send my money back into my bank account and then recalculate. But then, since they had to recalculate the bill, I had to manually submit the bill in May, which I was never notified of by email or told. Now we're looking at May, June, and now July’s bills with Solar all added together. I broke it down. Solar kicked in sometime in June and then all of July’s bill was on there. I said, "Why are my electric bill’s still $200 a month? I'm paying for solar. They should be zeroed out, or at least close to, when my normal bill should be $300. This is still more than half of what I would pay." I found out I don't have enough panels, not even remotely close to covering my electricity, let alone if I had a battery even charging.

I called Sunrun, and I said, “Y’all miscalibrated, jacked up. Now what?” Fast forward to last month, I finally got an answer from someone in customer service and Sunrun and I've been making these calls since July weekly, to get an answer. My call last month was, “We can't add to those. They're yours. So you'd have to go through a whole new contract, a whole new bill, a whole new everything, a whole new salesman. We have an extra branch in Sunrun that deals directly with them. But we can't touch those. You'd have to go with a whole new everything to add that on. And yeah, you're about 25 panels short.”

Now I can't do anything to my own roof until December of this year, because I have a new solar panel system that does nothing for me, except add an extra bill and an extra headache if anything goes wrong. If I could rip these panels off and throw them at every single person I've dealt with in Sunrun since I started, I would throw one panel one by one at each person.

2 ½ years ago we entered into a contract/lease for 90+ solar panels. The monthly lease payment is $222.19. On September 5, 2022 a 3,500-pound palm tree fell on our roof and damaged 12 solar panels. At that time the home was vacant and listed for sale. On September 7, 2022, my husband called Sunrun and spoke with Daniel ** (**) in the transfer department and inquired about the warranty for the solar panels. He submitted a claim including pictures of damages to Sunrun. A claim was also filed with Allstate that day for the roof damage. The response from The Sunrun Team noreply@sunrun.com is as follows:

“Thank you for contacting the Sunrun Damage Department. We have reviewed your damage claim submission and have determined that the scope of damage reported does not fall within the warranty of your Sunrun contract or does not indicate solar involvement. We advise you to seek consultation from a contractor or roofer for the damages listed. Please contact our Customer Care department at 1-855-478-6786 if you need to have panels removed for your roofer to make repairs. Please do not reply to this email, it is not monitored.”

On September 11, 2022, the solar panels were removed and the active roof leaks were repaired by our personal contractor. On September 20, 2022, the home went under contract for sale and the closing is scheduled for Friday, October 21, 2022. One of the conditions of the sales contract states that the home is “in the progress of roof and solar panel repairs”. Myself, my husband and our real estate agent have collectively called customer service, the Transfer Department, the Damage Department, the Removal & Reinstall Team, and the Escalations & Prevention Team at least a hundred times typically getting disconnected, sent straight to voicemail or ultimately just told that there is no one available that can help.

Case manager, Alejandro ** (**), repeatedly promised to send emails that were never sent/received and promised to make phone calls to “corporate” that were never made. When I told him I had no choice but to purchase replacement solar panels from a third-party company, he begged me not to do so “because it would affect my credit”. He also called our real estate agent to ask her to call me and make sure I didn’t purchase replacement solar panels from a third-party company. He never did call me back with a solution or resolution. When I could no longer reach him at the direct number he provided; I once again started calling customer service to speak with a supervisor.

On September 23, 2022, I obtained two (2) estimates from third party companies to replace the 12 damaged panels. One said they could replace the panels within the next week and the other had a 2-week timeframe. I was finally put in touch with supervisor, Vince ** (**) who listened to our complaints and pleas for help. He said he would try to help, but after over a dozen phone calls to him with no resolution, we were finally passed on to Carissa **, Case Manager Supervisor, Customer Care (**).

On September 30, 2022, Carissa ** called and apologized for all the runaround and terrible customer service. She also admitted that our solar system has only been performing at 47% for the past 12 months and we are owed $2,247.03 for a performance review refund. She provided two (2) options to present to the buyers of the home: 1) replace the 12 damaged solar panels, or 2) cancel the solar panel contract. Carissa asked that our agent present both options to the buyers and get back to her with their decision. The buyers decided to cancel the contract and that was relayed to Carissa via email on October 2, 2022.

On October 3, 2022, Vince communicated that he would no longer be involved in the case and our permanent point of contact would be Carissa going forward. Despite numerous phone calls and emails to the Transfer Department, Vince, and Carissa, we were stonewalled. Carissa finally responded via email on October 4, 2022 at 3:22pm. Her email read as follows:

“To clarify, when I talked to Tom, I was under the impression that there were ONLY 12 panels on his home and all of them were damaged by a tree falling onto his home. I had approved for a 12-panel cancellation. I did not approve a 90+ panel account cancellation. It was a misunderstanding that has been communicated to the potential buyer already. I do admit I should have checked the number of panels on the home before confirming the option but I cannot submit an insurance cancellation of the account if only a portion of the system is damaged. I would be happy to personally call the buyer's realtor to discuss options for transfer and to greatly reduce the monthly payments made for the solar system. I also would be happy to offer an appeasement for the confusion.

Vince should have given options to permanently remove the 12 panels of the existing system with a payment reduction to reflect this. If accepted, we can get the document for that sent out today. If refused, cancellation will need to go through my legal department here at Sunrun and can take weeks to finalize without a full system insurance claim. Please let us know what you decide so Vince can action this as quickly as possible.”

We responded with a list of questions that are still unanswered by Vince and Carissa. Carissa’s response on October 5, 2022, at 5:48 PM: “Here is the answer to your concerns with the proposal. The release letter acts as the agreement between parties. There is another document that will be signed after agreeing for the adjusted payment that is the amendment you are looking for. The $148.30 was a calculated payment removing the 12 panels and taking in consideration your system's production patterns. The performance guarantee was $2,247.03. This guarantee gives a refund for the production that was paid for in the lease payments and was not produced at a rate of $0.111 per kWh. The total $2,700 included additional appeasement beyond the guarantee. I can offer $3,000 total including the guarantee payment.

To clarify, this is $2,247.03 + $752.97 for a total of $3,000. I can get this check sent out this Friday and overnight it to you. Sunrun does not cover utility costs expressly stated in 10a. The $752.97 appeasement is in good faith for your experience with us so far. The $1,000 will be sent as a check directly to the buyers at this property address. As for the electrical equipment, I need to confirm with the removal team to see if we have a contractor available in the next week. If they do not, then we will go with the second option of your contractor invoicing Sunrun.

I will have a very experienced representative in our Transfers department contact the buyer as soon as possible to apologize and clarify the next steps of this transfer with them. I still do not have a direct manager and apologize if this is unconventional in your experiences. It is not a normal experience for me either and I hope to hear soon who they have selected for the manager above myself. Currently, I will continue to negotiate with you until we come to a resolution.”

We agreed on those terms and asked how to proceed with the next steps. No response. On October 5, 2022 at 2:20pm I received an amendment from Daniel ** to sign. I responded saying: “No, this is not good enough to move forward. This is a generic document that doesn’t outline anything regarding the new amended “solar facility” with the cancelation of the 12 panels, the new monthly buyer responsibility, etc. We are also waiting for a response to all the other unresolved issues described in our email last night.”

A Sunrun sales rep (Not Carissa as she had offered on 10/4/22) called the buyers and was not able to answer all their questions so they were left understandably upset and very leery of moving forward with Sunrun. Now we are at risk of losing the buyers because of blatant negligence, horrific customer service, and consistent misinformation made on Sunrun's part. On October 5, 2022, I sent yet another email begging and pleading for someone to help us find a solution and take action. This time I included Sunrun executives Mary Powell CEO, Lynn Jurich Co-Executive Chair, and Edward Fenster Co-Executive Chair.

On October 6, 2022, I received an email from Rachael **, Escalations and Prevention Specialist (**) titled “Complaint to Multiple Executives”. She indicated she would “be our primary point of contact until we are able to resolve our recent complaint. If at any time you can't reach me, you may contact my manager R.J. **, copied here. I have also copied our director, Jennifer **, for visibility”.

I was hoping she would actually be able to do something but her last email on October 7, 2022, explained the following: “The main problem at this point for me is that I am limited in what I am able to accomplish in such a short period of time. I am happy to help in any capacity that I can, but this is also somewhat tricky now that we are at the weekend. I can take another look at this in the morning or possibly on Monday when I will have more access to resources. When you say that you are wanting me to own this, can you be more specific in terms of what I can do to help?“

At 11:31pm I spelled out specifically what I was requesting. No response. No check received. On October 8, 2022 at 6:55pm, I sent another email entitled “URGENT - Complaint to Multiple Executives”. I said “I need someone from Sunrun to step up, take ownership of this terrible situation and do something to correct it immediately. We are running out of time”. Again, I outlined what needed to happen. This time I included Jeanna Steele, Chief Legal Officer and Chief People Officer and Danny Abajian, Chief Financial Officer. WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME.

My experience with Sunrun went fast at the beginning. But, once the project manager took over, it was radio silence from them. Other than the sporadic email that I got, I usually had to reach out to the salesperson to give me an up-to-date status of where the permits were and everything was going. But the salesperson was excellent.

The first time they came in, the installation was really fast. They worked really fast. They told me they were going to make some noise and they did. It was fine because they told me beforehand. But, it didn’t pass the city inspections because they did it with the specifications for Phoenix instead of Tuscon. They had to come back and fix it later, which delayed almost three weeks the finish of the project. The installation crew came all the way from Phoenix. So, they didn't know the specific laws and requirements here in Tucson. But they were really professional in explaining everything. They gave me a really valid reason for why they didn’t finish, why it was rejected. The service has been great since it has been installed.

They came to the house when they said they would be there. The guys kept everything neat. I told them that I'd probably have to let my dogs outside a couple of times. The app and the communication is good so far. The only issue we experienced was the broken tiles when they installed the solar panels. This is a new house, but how the installers were standing on the roof was not the proper way, so they damaged a lot of tiles.

Enrolling with Sunrun was easy. A rep called and we chatted, and had a few discussions and went forward with it. I watched the installers put the panels up, and they were straightforward about it. They pulled out all the panels, got out all of the fittings, put the mountings on the roof, and started putting the panels up then the cabling. It was done within a day.

Sometimes, Sunrun is hard to get ahold of. We got all of the clearances down, and I tried to get ahold of Sunrun to find out when they were going to turn the system on, because the power company had also come out and left the door hanger on my door, saying that it was okay to go ahead and switch the system on. I couldn't get ahold of anybody and it was frustrating for a bit. Eventually though, they called me back, turned the system on and it's been fine. There is a Sunrun application I can get on, and it tells me how much I've produced the previous day, week and month. The system does its thing, and the power company is charging me less. My bills have dropped.

I'd tell people Sunrun is a good company. Installation was a breeze. There was long lag time between when we said we were going to do it and paid our upfront fee, and because of the process of getting everything okayed and getting all of the things from the county and the power company. There was a bit of a lag of a couple of months, but once everything was in place, it went fairly fast.

I almost flipped out because of my highest bill before they turned on the solar which was over $350. I had an absolute quandary because it never ever went that high. I started my process in December of last year. The designer came but he never went up on the roof. So, when the techs came to install according to his design, they asked, “Didn't he go up on the roof?” And I said, “No.” They said that what was designed won't work here. I asked how long I had to wait and he said four to six weeks. They came back and I said, “You got a new design?” He said that it was just a minor adjustment to this one I had. But I waited all this time in between.

Also, there was something wrong with the meter that they installed. They changed the solar meter then I got a letter from TEP saying there were too many or too few panels up on the So, I called Sunrun. After 10 different people that I connected with, I gave them a piece of my mind. Whatever had to be done was taken care of and TEP came again and inspected. But after that, I had to wait before the system was activated.

Additionally, I could never get a hold of the representative who sold the system. I was told by SunRun that he was still there and they gave his number and extension. I told them that I have left messages and he has never called me back. I was always dealing with different people who were always going to take care of the matter and get back to me. Lo and behold, zero got back to me. But it just finally happened that things came together. We didn't activate the system until August of this year. I got my first bill from TEP after solar was turned on and it was $87 and that's plus the 141 I owe Sunrun. Last's month's bill to TEP was 76.

What we were told is based on our one year's electrical usage and that we would only qualify for X number of panels, which was actually almost a smidge under what we currently have. The young man said there was nothing that can be done because ATS wouldn't permit more than a certain percentage of production and based on our electrical usage. What we see as a lack in the whole process here is that we couldn't add the adequate number of panels that we would truly need. But we got a couple more panels on some back and forth. Other than that, Sunrun has been very positive all around - the young man that came here, the representatives on the phone, and the installers seemed all positive. We would recommend them to friends but we're dissatisfied with the whole ATS controlling the formula.

Sunrun installed a solar array on my roof after inspection and caused rapid deterioration of the roof. Along with the accelerated deterioration of the roof there was leaks cause by roof penetrations for array securement. After many claims by Sunrun these leaks weren't caused by the panels or the installation. I had hired roofers to inspect the roof, all finding the leaks were caused by the solar array. Once I hadn't come to any resolution with Sunrun, I needed a roof to stop the water damage occurring inside my home. I hired a roofing company to replace the roof at my cost.

I submitted multiple service requests for Sunrun to come remove the panels so the roofing company could replace my roof. Without any timely responses from Sunrun, I had to outsource a local solar company (Son Energy Systems) (fantastic company) to remove the panels so the new roof could be installed. This situation is still not resolved. I would highly recommend solar. It is a very efficient and clean energy source. But I would NOT recommend Sunrun for the installation or services.

Their customer service, especially after sale, is very bad. Also, last September, I pay about 200 for electricity. This September, I pay 60 for the solar and then I pay another 150 to energy. Sunrun didn't help me save any money.

Sunrun seemed the best approach for us at the time, being that we could lease the solar panels and also save some money on our electric bill that had just been going up and up. I felt the most comfortable with their maintenance program, as well as the fact that Sunrun is one of the larger companies, and I knew that they wouldn't go away anytime soon.

The guy that I worked with was extremely nice, very knowledgeable. And he wasn’t a pushy salesman. He just gave me the facts and it just sold itself. The other companies that I worked with were terrible when it comes to being pushy. Every other company was, “You need a battery. There's no point of going solar without a battery.” And based on what I read, that's not true in our situation. And when I asked the guy about it, he said, “Absolutely not. I wouldn't recommend that you spend an extra $10,000 on a battery that you're not going to use.” So, I appreciated that. That sold it for me.

The transistors that Sunrun uses are compatible with some of the newer technology that's going to come out. However, their app is not the best. I would hope that they would push an upgrade sooner than later. I have foreseen that being an issue based on the reviews of the app. But the benefits about saving money and the look of the solar panels outweigh the app.

We'd tried about five other companies to get solar set up here. Most of the time, they ended up saying, “No. You got too many trees, and this is not gonna work.” But the lady that sold us Sunrun said, “You don't have to go 100%. Let's go 80% of your usage, and it'll pencil out.” We loved her. She was wonderful. She worked with us for a long time. She was always there always to answer questions. But when it was finally done, she was gone. Also, I couldn't believe how long it took. Additionally, I thought I was gonna be able to monitor each panel individually and I'd have some kind of system that would show me that. It looked like that company that has that inverter has that capability. But through Sunrun, I couldn't get that accomplished. I also feel it was expensive. I’m a do-it-yourself person and I've always thought, “Geez, why didn't I just do it myself?” But it's too complicated, so I didn't. In the end, I'm happy I have solar but I don't know how much it's gonna help me.

Setting up was fairly painless. They reviewed my electrical cost for the last year and then asked if I intended to add anything about the build. We went over that and everything else was pretty much a DocuSign. I really liked that they have the app that allows you to monitor the amount of electricity that you're generating. I found it to be consistent with the weather. So that was pretty cool. But one thing that I would recommend that they would do is talk a little bit more about the benefits of having a battery. I didn't purchase a battery.

I'm satisfied, because it is most vital that we don't rely on a single supplier for oil. And we know how the gas emission in these countries have contributed negatively to global warming. Everything is being done online. So, I have the online app. I downloaded it, and use it to track whatever I'm using at my house. The Sunrun agent came and inspected and said that the roofing system was appropriate. It was quite strong and unique and they could lay the panels on top of the house. It went smoothly.

In Sunrun in Hawaii, the agent is good. They take care of me. He helps me. But here, not really. So, I have to keep calling my agent and do a lot of my follow-up, and nobody answers the phone. And just wait for a couple of months. The time is taking too long for it. The panels are okay. When you do the deposit, you have one agent to take care of that. When they ask for money to pay the payment, they call right away. But he quit and nobody told me. I kept calling and he just told me now, “Oh, I’m not working in Sunrun anymore.” So, the next agent to took care of the case, and he just kept saying, “Okay. Sign the contract and then pay the bill.” Done. After that, he was gone. I gotta ask him for updates.

And my house, gotta do with the HOA, and nobody helped me do that. I needed to fill up the form. Finally, I have one more guy come in and he helped me do that. I’m still waiting. So, it made me upset about Sunrun. The experience so far is okay. Sunrun is a big company. It's okay. But just be sure whoever works for the company is good. They don't care. I have sent Sunrun a recent contact via email indicating that I don't like the way this rod in the front of my house looks. The salesperson who came was very nice. After that, I had somebody come for an energy audit, but they didn't do anything much. If I was going to be paying them for that, I wouldn't have gotten my money's worth from them. Three people showed up and they just did one test. That was to put something up on the doorframe, sucked the air up, and said it was good. They didn't go around caulking the windows, didn't check all the lights to say, “You gotta change this light,” and didn't provide me any of the other types of things they talked about.

I want to go green as far as possible as well as reduce my expenses, and the process with Sunrun took two months. Some part of it was not clearly explained to me. Right now, I know I'm paying a lower monthly bill, but I don't know what happens if I go over the consumption limit, how much it is going to draw from the credit and how much I’ll end up paying for that. Also, my roof is 20 years old, and these guys inspected it and said it is good for another 25 years. I don't know if that is a fact, but I let them install it. So I'm not really confident of that part. Still, it was all good.

Don't waste your money or time with them. We were under provisioned originally, and although I expressed concern, it was dismissed saying they would add panels if that happened at no additional cost. We were forced to wait one year into the services, despite early indicators the system did not appear to be saving us what was promised. Once I submitted one year worth of bills, they said the system is operating as expected and that I can purchase a second system.

From install to the end of that first year, we replaced every appliance, the furnace and the AC with high efficiency appliances. The AC & Furnace are 98% efficient. We continue to have high Xcel bills and now just have to pay two companies instead of one. Last year (3 years into this contract) we did an energy audit to see what we could do to reduce our energy usage. They used a drone to take thermal images of the solar panels. They provided us a report that indicated they believed the solar panels are not functioning properly and two specifically appear to be not working. I reported this to Sunrun who then completed a 'desk top' review and said we are just using more electricity. Considering the replacement of all appliances and the elimination of two lizard tanks we had been using, that can't possibly be correct. Seriously - do not waste your money here. Customer service is non-existent and despite calling in multiple times, no one actually listens.

So far, I’m not pleased with my electric bills and a lot of the solar installation. The installation took a lot longer than expected. Besides me seeing a huge electric bill, they're putting off $500 a month. I was told it was going to pay for all my electricity, but I'm getting this offset. I’m at $1,100, like a balloon payment that's coming. I was told I wasn't going to get charged for making my own electricity. But I'm seeing stuff on my bill from Southern California Edison that looks like I’m being charged for making my own electricity at my house.

They didn’t offer and say, “You should pay an extra $1,000 to put this around to seal it.” I have a huge flock of pigeons that are under there, that are pooping and coming down onto my brand new cement and staining it. It's a nightmare. I also got this noise in my house because all these pigeons are underneath it. I had to figure out an exterminator, somebody to get rid of these pigeons, and to seal the thing off. It should have been an option to have the solar panels sealed. Sunrun should have sealed it off and known that this is a problem.

I have been a Sunrun customer since 2015. I have leased my solar panels from them and the lease is for 20 years. Their solar system stopped working on June 1st of this year, after which I called them. They sent a technician 10 days after that and she confirmed that their inverter system is broken needs to be replaced. However it has been more than 3 months now and they have still not replaced the system. I keep getting told by the case manager(s) that are getting assigned to my case that the system is on back order and will arrive soon. They have no ETA on when the replacements are supposed to arrive. Initially I waited patiently for the parts to come however it seems like 3 months is more than ample time for them to replace a system for which I continue to pay the lease for each month.

To make matters worse, in these 3 months they have called me and have scheduled 4 separate appointments for someone was coming over to replace the system. In each of these instances no one showed up at my house on the day of those appointments. When I called the customer service, I was told that the system was on back order and they were sorry about scheduling and subsequently cancelling the appointment. It is not making any sense to me why they would schedule the appointment if they didn't have the parts.

It was not until my 3rd follow up email that somehow, the documents were processed. On a day in July, a technician was schedule to check out the system between 2 to 2:30 pm. They decided to show up without notice around 9:30 a.m. instead. What if someone was not home? They also said they would return at original time due to an issue with the system but then showed up almost an hour and a half late.

Was guaranteed that the system was up and running. Now, it is not. It was not until I called 2 days ago that the diagnostic team actually looked at the issue about our system not properly working. This should not have to be my job. We are now 4 weeks behind schedule--will be 7 weeks as they cannot get someone to evaluate and fix the system until the 3rd week of September. Unfortunately, we are not the only household experiencing this issue in our neighborhood. Would not recommend.

Sunrun did a great job on the installation, the implementation and the sale. The sales rep was fantastic. She had just started but was a great communicator. She was also very respectful and detail-oriented. There were 2 challenges though - one was on the installation and one was on the finishing work. During the installation, they needed to put the panel in a different location. I pointed out where I wanted it. I wanted it mounted on the garage wall, which was, in its location, close to the electrical service that came into the house. But it was hidden on the wall that I wanted it. It would have been more hidden than it is now. They didn't inform me of that change that they needed to put it there. They probably wanted to eliminate the longer reach, which is only about 3 feet versus the 1-foot distance to the service.

The second item was that I was promised trim on the panels. It was a side trim. It's a difficult installation ‘cause they're configured for the lower trim. When you look up, you see this nice black thing. I asked them for side trim and the rep had included that. I talked to the installer and he said they were gonna come back and do that, but it never happened. But the offset has been helping quite a bit.

He was my guy when I needed to get through stuff. The gentlemen that came to work here were lovely. The guy that came to inspect everything afterwards was wonderful too. When I called to say the system wasn't working, the gentleman that came to look at it fixed what it was and had it working in no time. Yesterday, I received the light bulbs Sunrun promised that I'll be getting every three months. They even included a Wi-Fi camera that I can set up in the house. I'm happy with that. There’s the promise of in the next three months, more light bulbs and a Bluetooth speaker.

Sunrun is keeping their promises, but the person that was supposed to call me and review things, I have one apology email after another as to why we keep missing each other, no matter how many different dates and times I give this person. I am still waiting for this person to call me since May and go over the bill with me. I'm very happy that I went solar but I wish Sunrun's customer service was a little better and that someone would have contacted me and let me know exactly what the bill means. They sure know how to call me when they think I haven't paid though. Something happened with the automatic payment and they called me right on time then. But I'm very happy with the low bill 'cause my bill was more than double what I'm paying right now in the summertime. In the wintertime, it’s not as bad, but I'll still be paying less with the solar panels than I would have been paying without them.

The installers were fantastic. We got to see their performance of how they got it up to the top, walking on the roof and handling stuff that big. They were individual panels and if one died, the other ones won't stop working. Everything, when they finally got it going, has been running smoothly. The only thing that we had was a delay because the power switch was off and we had to push it up. The guy was supposed to come here. He was supposed to explain how it worked. But we've never seen him after that. Also, our neighbor didn't get the $1,000 bonus for recommending us.

So far, the system seems to be very slow, but it's working. They are charging us a fee of around $70 and we are still paying $10, $15 to ComEd. It is much lower than ComEd wanted, but you add the two together, and we're still paying $83 to $85 which is not far off from my electric bill.

We looked into solar, talked to my brother and sister-in-law, found out that Sunrun was affiliated with Costco. And we felt that that was a legit backing. We've looked at other smaller companies that we thought, even though this may be more expensive, it's at least backed by Costco. So, we felt secure in that decision. They told us the steps that would happen, like PG&E would have to turn it on, that they would inspect. And all that went smoothly. It took a couple of months, but it still was smooth.

The only thing I am gonna comment about is the guy that we were in contact with, Jerome, who was the one that initially got us on board and told us about it. He told us about these perks about getting gift cards. My brother-in-law would get a gift card from Sunrun because he was the referral and then we would gonna get something. And he promised us another 500, but it was a bit implied that it was out of his pocket. And we never received that. It was misrepresented. When that one didn't come through, I was disappointed.

When we tried to contact, Jerome hummed and hawed. And we never heard back from him. I wonder if he even works for Sunrun anymore. But that was the only negative experience out of the whole thing. The installation took two days. And we have a lot of panels. It was excellent the way they came in here and knocked it out. Sunrun has their own application. I can look what I'm producing. And when I get my PG&E bill, I would be able to track. So, between the two, it's accurate.

I had contacted four companies to get bids on what we wanted to do on our new project and Sunrun was very responsive. The sales rep, Eva, was stellar. She was no pressure, just gave me the facts and was completely honest. I was sold from the get-go and I'm not an easy sell. When they assigned a project manager, she was responsive. Then when the installation team came out, I had some little special requirements on some additional things that they were willing to do at no charge and they completed it all in one day. I couldn't have expected a better experience.

However, if there was any little lag point, it was the project manager. On a couple of occasions, she was hard to get through to. I had to leave voicemails. It also took a day or two for her to get back. So, a tighter response time on that would be a minor improvement. But the overall project went seamlessly. The time deadlines were met.
