I found their reasoning unacceptable, as the layout wasn't fully outlined in the bid anyway, yet they proceeded with other aspects just fine.

A year later, they are no longer doing business in Colorado for residential. Currently I am trying to get them to respond to my inquiries about service and 25-yr warranty moving forward. But others have indicated that they are slow to respond and do not have a clear strategy for CO support. But warn that work done by any other entity will void their warranty. I will add that many of the Solar install companies that I received quotes from at the start of this project no longer do business here. I have interest in managing the panels myself now.

That was a big selling point. I have a brand-new air conditioner and my electric bill is the same as it was last year. With the new air conditioner, I expected my electric bill would go down because my old one was 30 years old. But it didn't.

So far, I'm in the middle of the installation process. The initial stages, like quoting and site inspections, were handled well, and I've been impressed with how the team has worked alongside me. The advance planning phase has been smooth, though we are waiting on city and HOA permits before the actual installation. It seems the entire process was expected to last about four months, and we're now in the second. The team has continued to be extremely supportive and approachable. They made me feel comfortable with the whole process that we will be going through.

I chose a system with a backup battery and, while still in its early stages, I find that the setup from panels to battery, then to my house, and back to the grid is working well. I have two apps—Tesla and Enlighten—to monitor the power output.

I'd recommend going with Freedom Solar. Overall, I'd rate my experience a solid 5 out of 5, particularly the service quality and the installation process. There was a small issue, but nothing that majorly impacted my satisfaction.

I still have the same bill, or higher, for my electricity and I'm waiting when I'm back to call Freedom. I have one brother living in Philadelphia who had a solar system installed and his electricity bill is constant for him. Besides that, I would definitely consider recommending Freedom Solar to my other brother in Texas. As for my experience, it's been mainly positive so far, but I’m awaiting further results to fully gauge its effectiveness.

4. Called Freedom. First response was we will be out in a couple weeks. I emailed back and explained this was an issue left over from re-attach. I then received an email wanting me to go out and check breakers, turn AC on and off, cycle Powerwall. I pushed back on this since I have no idea what I am doing. I am threatened with a $500 charge for them to come out and fix their issue after a $5000 job if the breaker is tripped. I go out in 100 degree heat and check the breaker. They are fine. 4. Still waiting for a response. 5. Every time I have called for any kind of service this is how it goes. I have to make a lot of noise to get any kind of timely response.

Freedom Solar has been diligent in their follow-ups and maintenance. They notify me of any required updates or issues before I even become aware of them. They provide notifications promptly and are flexible with scheduling maintenance around my availability, assuring me that I don't even need to be present for the service.
