    Reviewed Nov. 1, 2024

My review documents the ongoing issues I’ve had with ES Solar including their criminal activity. Their employees have criminally trespassed three times, engaged in illegal door to door solicitation, harassed and their actions have culminated in civil stalking. All of this is over the course of two days. On 11 April 2024, one of ES Solar’s door to door solicitors, Gabriel, walked past a very large, and obvious, no trespassing sign at the edge of my driveway, proceeded up to my front door that has an obvious no soliciting sign and rang my doorbell. He engaged in his sales pitch and said he was with Energy Savers, despite working for ES Solar. I began asking him questions, “Who are you?”, “What company do you work for?”, “What office do you work out of?”. At this point he became very defensive and agitated and asked why I’m asking all of these questions.

He became hostile when I asked him these questions and accused me of being aggressive. We had a back and forth where I informed him he several laws and he became aggressive towards me. I had to tell him I was calling the police and bluffed by telling him fleeing the scene of a crime is a felony in hopes he would say and make it easier for the police to find him. At the end of the interaction he began questioning how much “action” I get and insinuated I can’t satisfy my wife. It is important to note that prior to my encounter with Gabriel, I heard him yelling at my neighbor, who also has a no soliciting sign on his door. While he was on the sidewalk he was yelling at my neighbor’s house and extended both middle fingers.

I called ES Solar and left a voicemail and spoke to someone the following day, 12 April 2024, about the issue. I verbally told them about the signage and emailed them a synopsis and photos of my signs. Later that afternoon, Gabriel’s manager and another ES Solar employee walked past my no trespassing sign and up to me while I was in my garage in an effort to extend an apology for Gabriel. I refused his handwritten note and recapped the events for them.

I told them there is a reason why I have these signs up; They pressed to know why and, despite liking my privacy, I told them it's because I’m a 100% disabled combat veteran and these incidents aggravate my PTSD, among other things. I described what it is like to live with these issues and how Gabriel’s, and their, unwanted trespassing impacts me. It was at this point the person accompanying the manager started to laugh at me and I ordered them off the property a short time later.

This whole situation has aggravated the disabilities I’ve incurred due to active duty service and caused a significant loss of quality of life, sleepless nights and extended states of hypervigilance. It would have been different if only Gabriel trespassed and harassed me, but to send two more people to my home after having been told verbally, and in writing, about my signage and that I don’t want ES Solar on my property is what created this unwanted situation for me.

Over the course of the next few months after 11 April I attempted to work with Braxton Loock, who during the course of several emails and phone calls, told me nothing more was going to happen to Gabriel other than having been removed from his solicitation duties. Their CEO, Chris Loock, contacted me and eventually told me nothing more would happen to his employees. He requested the video of my interaction with Gabriel, so here it is: **

Mr. Loock, the actions of Gabriel, his manager, the manager’s accomplice, Braxton Loock and you are reprehensible. I shouldn’t have to tell you, or anyone, about my disabilities but I feel like I need to let the community know your true colors and you are masters of mental gymnastics to justify your actions in the name of profit. It feels like you have completely dismissed the impacts your actions have had on me and are completely unwilling to take any action to make this right.

2019 They installed 53 panels on my old roof without warning me and I had leaking problems. Two roof companies said that this roof is over 20 years old and that there is rotted wood up there... Now they want to twist my arm to buy a solar battery and take care of the roof and gutters. They offered to sign a $60,000 loan, which then became $52,000 overnight when I refused – That's $8,000 less! What a joke... and that's without any details about what exactly they will do, what kind of shingles they'll use, or anything else. Or, I have to pay $200 per panel, which amounts to about $11,000. It's a lot of money, but it's not worth going to court, even though it seems like a good case! So, just stay away and choose a reputable company.
