Recently, I refilled 2 of my regular RX's. I've been taking these medicines for years and got them at Walgreens in Appleton, WI. One of the medicine bottles had an older manufactured pill in it that looked nothing like the other pills. Adding to that, my area Walgreen's pharmacy has run out of a medicine I've taken and gotten from them for many, many years. Don't they audit their inventory? The odd-ball pill I received, and the very recent change in pill size and color was NEVER pointed out to me by the Pharmacist or staff. The savings with using the W Card isn't much help either. Just today, 6/8/13, I called 2 other pharmacies and got lower prices for these 2 medicines. I will slowly but surely get all of my prescriptions transferred to a different pharmacy and be done with Walgreen's. Very poor service!

This same thing happened to me about 6 months ago, now this month with my husband. We picked up our medicine, bought the bottle home and counted them. They’re supposed to be 240, each time we were both missing 20 pills. I called Walgreens; they said they are counted twice, nothing he can do. I think an undercover person should be in the store and catch who’s doing this. This is not right.

I am angry that a Walgreens pharmacist has the power over my doctor to monitor my pain medicine usage!!! I, too, have been a chronic pain sufferer for over 10 yrs. 6 yrs ago. I had to retire on disability after a failed fusion on my back & a ruptured brain aneurysm. I saw my doctor today who wrote me out a script for 15 mg **, qty 120. My regular Walgreens did not have the full 120 & offered to call the Hockessin Walgreens at Lantana Square. The pharmacist at Lantana said they had that amt. & could fill it - so I made the 15 min. drive there only to be told by the very same pharmacist who took the call that I would not be able to have it until 6/2! The reason given is because my last prescription for this same medication was filled on 5/2, so I would have to wait 30 days even though my doctor wrote me the required BRAND NEW script & dated it with today's date of 5/28/13!! I asked if this was for insurance reasons - because this is what they've told me in the past. She shook her head but gave no other explanation.

I am on Medicare & already knew that my Insurance carrier was not the reason for the hold up because I have called & they have told me they would cover the cost of a new prescription after 25 days! After I asked again why she wouldn't fill it, the pharmacist then changed her story & said I could have it 6/1. I explained that I could wait until 5/30, but would be completely out of my medicine after that day. She still would not give me any explanation as to why or who was making me wait! All I could do was take my script back & leave!

When I got home, I called another Walgreens nearby & at least the pharmacist there was honest with me & told me that Walgreens had changed a lot of things in the past 2 mos. & now they were monitoring my usage & that my prescriptions needed to last 30 days & they looked at my usage for the past 5-6 mos. & were keeping a cumulative tab on how many days "early" I was getting them refilled!!! A CUMULATIVE TAB??? All of a sudden I am being accused of doing something wrong, when I wasn't even aware it WAS wrong!

For at least 4 years, I have been allowed to pick up my ** prescriptions anywhere from 25-26 days after the previous one was filled. How dare Walgreens all of a sudden make me into some kind of criminal & FLAG me for what WAS allowed standard procedure at all of their pharmacies in Delaware!! My doctor & I are ALREADY keeping tabs on my usage!! Who the heck made Walgreens the new keeper of my pain meds??? According to their new record keeping, I was flagged for having my prescriptions refilled 1-3 days earlier than their new 30-day policy! Where was the letter I should have been provided with? Why all this shadiness Walgreens?? All you had to do was send a letter or email advising your longtime managed pain medicine customers of your new policy - instead of just lumping me in with your known drug abusers - of which I am not one of!!

I am already so tired of being in constant pain - it is so unfair that I am continually having to deal with insensitive people who are looking at me like I'm doing something illegal every time I need to pick up my much needed medications when I need them!! I am really frustrated by this & I really feel like my rights are being violated by Walgreens!

I receive ** for pain associated with low back! I have had several back surgeries, plates and screws. My scripts are to be filled on the date that I run out of my old script. I went to my usual Walgreens they didn't have my meds. They sent me to another Walgreens where I was informed that due to new laws, I was not able to get my script filled until they spoke with my doctor. It was Friday afternoon. My doctor is not in till Tuesday. They said, "That's the way it is." I tried another pharmacy at my hospital. They filled it with no problem. I had to drive way out of my way but at least I was able to get it. Then I find out that it is Walgreens' policy and not a new law. if I hadn't tried elsewhere, I would have had to try to survive without any meds. This has been my life. I was disabled in 1997 and relied on drugs to control pain ever since. I do not like to be on the drugs, but it's a matter of survival. I hope something can be done in the future to rectify this problem. Right now, I hate Walgreens for their actions!

My father has been disabled (from a back injury) nearly 20 years and takes ** for pain relief. We went to Walgreens this past Friday (the 18th) to pick up his pills. The Walgreens we always go to didn't have any, so we were redirected to another store nearby. We went in only to be told by the pharmacist that it's now a law that they have to contact the pain doctor in order to get the script. The problem? Most pain management doctors only work on select days, and his wouldn't be in until Tuesday. He was not told this is a procedure done by Walgreens, but that it was a "law".

We then got in a screaming match over the phone to his doctor's receptionist over her inability to contact the doctor through an emergency line. Needless to say, he's going to find a different pain doctor. We did find a place that would fill it after looking high and low, but we wasted time/energy/patience due to it, as well as losing a doctor. Neither of us plan on returning to a Walgreens any time soon.

Our family has received our prescriptions from the Walgreens pharmacy in our city since the day it opened, around 1980. We've had some extensive illness in our family, including a five-organ transplant, so we have purchased hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of prescriptions. During the past year, and perhaps before, we have had very erratic charges in our co-pays even though we have excellent insurance common to all three family members who use Walgreens. Using Walgreens records as source data, I have made a spreadsheet of these differences for an eleven-month period in 2012 which showed an unusual discrepancy between the usual common charges and the different charges for the very same medicines and dosages at different times. The total questioned discrepancy amounted to a little over $900 for the eleven-month period.

In polite letters, I asked the Walgreens store manager, then the pharmacist, then the Walgreens CEO, then the Walgreens regional manager, and then the CEO again on two more occasions since January of 2013. I also forwarded the correspondence to the Chairman of The Walgereens Company Audit Committee. No one has ever responded and I am wondering if others have had any similar experiences. I am an experienced corporate director myself and disinterest of this magnitude seems unusual to me. Have others had problems with Walgreens?

If it was only myself having this problem of getting my pain meds, I’d say suck it up buttercup, deal with it, but I am not. There are thousands out there being denied life-altering meds that are prescribed by very professional and accredited doctors that are far more educated in medicine and their applications than your pharmacist. Yet my doctor is all of a sudden medically stupid, after forty plus years of practicing medicine, and a DIPLOMAT TO THE AMERICAN PAIN MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION according to your GOOD FAITH PRACTICE. Your company just keeps changing to fit whatever BIG BROTHER DEA says. What happened to the medical oath? What’s happening to OUR and YOUR country? My doctor changed my meds to fit your guidelines, now only to be told that I can't get my meds due to GOOD FAITH. What faith, yours in me, or mine in you? After over 15 years as a Walgreens customer, I have been rejected and mistreated. The last 2 times my prescription was dropped off at the pharmacy, they accepted the medication and told me it would be an hour. I waited in store. When I went to pick it up, the pharmacist said that they won't fill it because of unmet guidelines. I asked what guidelines do I need to meet. After all, I am disabled, have proper insurance and have been a customer for my entire prescription history. He was rude and would not answer my inquiry.

The second time, the same thing happened but I was also lectured on the type and amount of medication my doctor prescribed to me. I asked if he knew my medical diagnosis. He replied, "You cannot get your medication filled at this Walgreens." Then he said, "I will put a note in your records so when you go to any Walgreens, you will be rejected." I called corporate Walgreens to file a complaint and they told me that they don't deal with any type of pharmacy complaint. They stand by their pharmacist. I asked them, "Who then does the pharmacists answer to?" He replied "themselves."

I am so outraged! I am most likely going to have seizures and horrible symptoms from the sudden halt of stopping medication. Something must be done. There are thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of persons who are going through this same experience.

I never had any such bad experience as today when I contacted their customer service. I placed an order on 26 Apr and Drugstore charged my credit card saying that my item is shipped. I did not receive the item and I almost forgot about it. Today, when I saw the status, it says shipping label is generated on 29 Apr. Since today is 12th May, I wanted to know the status. They said the item is out of stock and it never got shipped. “We are going to refund your money.” Luckily I remember and I called these guys; otherwise, they would have taken my money and never returned it. When I pointed that out to CSR, she says that she is not the one who took my money, it was the company. I was surprised to hear that CSR is considering herself separate from the company. Never will do business with these thieves.

I feel that I have been either overcharged or my insurance company double-billed. I came to pick up prescription on Friday, May 3, and was given a partial delivery of a 30-day supply, and charged the full amount of $57.78 as if I received a full 30-day supply. The clerk told me they were out of supply and to return the following Monday to receive the remainder and no charges would apply. When I returned, the first clerk tried to have me pay $250, then refused to give me the remaining order due saying that the Insurance Company's coverage had expired. Yes, I changed insurance on May 1, but this order should have been completed prior to that.

It was called in prior to May 1 and was only delayed in pick up - when I arrived at the store, the order was in their waiting bin, ready for dispensing. And no discussion was had at the time I picked up a partial fulfillment/paid my deductible, about expiration of insurance. And in my assessment of the situation, the pharmacy should never have agreed to give me a partial order and accept my payment for the deductible if the insurance company did not first check for eligibility prior to fulfillment of an order. No one else goes into Walgreens and receives prescription fulfillment without either payment in full or insurance confirmation. Now Walgreens wants information on my new insurance carrier (which is delayed because the employer was bought out on May 1 and has not had time to issue insurance cards to all employees).

But my point is this: If Walgreens had verified funds approved from the old insurance company and gave me the full prescription on Friday, May 3 (but did not because the branch did not have adequate supply on hand), then this would have not been an issue. I think the Green Valley at Horizon Ridge branch Walgreen's in Henderson, NV is trying to collect from the old and new insurance companies for the same prescription dispensing and I think that is wrong. I have submitted a complaint to Walgreen's customer care online system for two times without reply. Maybe other consumers should know.

I have had problems with Walgreens balance rewards program with getting points with prescriptions since the first of the year. I have had the same insurance company for years starting the 1st of January but get no points with my prescriptions. On contacting Walgreens numerous times, they tell me I don't get points because I have government insurance. I have told them numerous times my insurance company, United Healthcare, is not a government policy. I do not work for the government. I have never worked for the government. I do not get government assistance or anything to do with the government. Last year, no problem getting points with Walgreens with the same insurance company and insurance number. Nothing has changed on my part, just on Walgreens. I have the same insurance and have not gone to work for the government, nothing of the kind.

I am self employed, pay $400 a month for health insurance and it has nothing to do with the government. The local Walgreens says there is nothing in their system that says government. It's coming from Walgreens corp. After numerous phone calls to Walgreens and their balance reward dept since January, I keep getting emails from them saying my insurance is government affiliated. You would think I would know what insurance I pay for every month! I would like anyone else having problems with Walgreens concerning receiving their points with Walgreens prescriptions to please contact me.

Drugstore.com sent me a coupon for $10 off $40. I made the purchase. The cart showed the coupon and showed that $10 was taken off. The total I approved was what I expected. The confirmation email showed my credit card being charged for the full amount (no coupon-$10 overcharge). It offered me the opportunity to cancel the order because it had not been processed. I went immediately to the website and saw it still had not been processed and cancelled the order. I wrote a complaint to customer service. They replied with an automated response that no one would look at my complaint unless I hit "reply" to have it submitted to a real person. Then I received an email that I could not cancel the order because it had been processed. This is a ripoff. You shouldn't have to examine subsequent emails for new charges, and new emails that have new hoops to jump through to be able to complain. They shouldn't send coupons, claim to honor them and then overcharge. I have been a longtime customer but now worry that I never double-checked the confirmation emails.

On January 18th, I was given a prescription for ** which I had Walgreens in Rochester, NH fill for me. I picked up the prescription and started taking the medication per the directions on the bottle. "Take 8 tablets by mouth four times daily". That equated to 160 mg daily. Pill count was 240.

As I got close to the prescription running out, I sent in a request for a refill. The pharmacy then called me and told me I was taking the wrong dosage and they would need to contact the doctor to find out how to taper me down to the correct dosage. They told me that they, the Pharmacy, gave me the wrong dosage instructions. The correct dosage was/is "Take 8 tablets (40 mg) by mouth once daily".

I just had a doctor's appointment on Monday, 02/25, and he told me that he thought I had a malpractice/negligence suit against the Walgreens and he would provide me all the information I needed, if I decided to pursue it.

I forgot to pick up a new script! Prescribed 30 days at a time, in a last minute dash I was able to pick up the new script from the doctor's office and get it to our local Walgreens in time for my daughter's morning dosage of **. Standardized testing was starting the next day at school for her. I dropped the script off; my husband picked up on his way in from work. Script went into its usual place... the crisis was averted. Focused on 2 children testing each day for 5 days, I administered meds for the next week or so. With a new refrigerator note to call for a refill when we are down to a week of pills, I found myself with phone in hand preparing to call the doctor’s office when I realized... "we just filled this prescription!"

I counted the pills and double checked with my husband. We have a one parent medication plan in the home so it was a long shot, or perhaps the pharmacy ran short... He immediately called. No one answered; a detailed message was left. I think that was a mistake. They never called. He called back the next day and was told they have audited everything and we should just get another prescription from the doctor's office. The script was for 30 days. We gave 7 doses. There were 8 pills left in the bottle...exactly half. Odd.

They were rude and disrespectful. I know this is a controlled substance so it seems as though there should be some time of paper process for logging this. If their audit showed the pills were not there in the store, it means they are just not there. It doesn't mean they are here with us. We have never had any problem with this and my daughter has been taking these meds for almost 2 years now. We have only been using this pharmacy for the past 6 months or so... no excuse for rude; no concern for professionalism. It’s over for Walgreens. Unfortunate for the next pharmacy we will count every pill before leaving the desk. Sorry, customers behind me.

When I refill my meds, I give them legitimate scripts from a legitimate doctor and my valid driver's license. I am in good standing in their database. But today, all of a sudden, they needed to call the doctor. They could not get through and left a message to call them back. I then called the doctor and got through immediately. They told me they are not allowed to call Walgreens, but are available to answer their call now. I relayed this information to the pharmacy and asked that they call now.

I sat there for another 2 hours and found out they have done nothing. They saw me sitting there. They know what I need and they know why I am waiting, but simply didn't care. Keep in mind that this was at 10AM and not at all busy. I believe this to be specifically a Walgreens issue and will never go there again.

To my great disappointment, I felt very uncomfortable in the store as virtually every clerk and salesperson spoke exclusively in Spanish to each other. Never was I asked if I needed help nor was I provided even a basic measure of customer service. The only time I was acknowledged at all was when a check out girl announced aisle 2 is open as she stood behind a closed register. Thinking she was opening that register, I walked over to her as she proceeded to count cash and talk to another co-worker in Spanish as I stood there confused and bewildered. Last I heard, Tarrytown, NY was still in the USA. Next time, I will take my business to CVS.

Poor Customer Service, wrongly being treated as a thief - I was at store #05697 in Tacoma, WA on Sun., 21 April 2013. I had a cousin with me and we went different directions in the store to find items we wanted. I had already checked out, and he was just getting in line. I didn't get names, but I know who they are. Here's what happened:

Cousin looked at a pair of ear buds (costs $12) that were freely displayed for anyone to look at, on a wall hook. Intending to buy them, he kept them and walked around the store to do more shopping. Associate B (the cashier by the door) did see my cousin remove the ear buds from the hook and walk away with them. Something happened here - unknown - but there must have been an alert/code put out somehow (maybe by the cashier/Associate B at the front door, maybe by loss prevention (LP) people, maybe by security camera monitors, who knows)?

Anyway based on what happened hereafter, someone put out a high alert - watch this customer, he's probably trying to steal something - code to other store associates. Rather than just watch and observe, and/or just make their presence known until/unless customer left the store with the ear buds. They believed he was stealing. They chose a far more complex, rude strategy - three to four associates were milling around cousin, and the store manager was one of those four. By not stopping this (with words or looks), she basically condoned the rude set up that was inflicted on my cousin. Associate A decided to be proactive, rather than wait to see if he walked out the store with them, and obviously did not have proof that he was stealing them. Otherwise, that is just what they would have done but no...

Associate A pulled my cousin out of the check-out line he was in and asked him where he put the ear buds because she needed to know what the price of them was. What the heck? Cousin has some learning disabilities, he cheerfully went up and down the aisles looking for the ear buds, couldn't find them, came back, shrugged his shoulders, and apologized and let her know that. She said she had to have them and basically sent him (using words, stance, looks, body language) back to look around again. She definitely was intimidating him, like making it a crime that he changed his mind about buying something, and set it down somewhere, rather than put it where he got it from.

Cousin cheerfully/politely went up and down the aisles a second time - trying to find where he set them down. They were nowhere to be seen. He came back to Associate A, shrugging his shoulders, and apologized again saying he couldn't find them. Associate C had joined the scene now, right next to Associate A, and asked what was going on. Associate A told her the customer set down some ear buds and was looking for them but couldn't find them. Some words were exchanged that couldn't be heard, and then Associate C was heard saying, "Why would he do that?" Associate A said, "Maybe because he doesn't want to 'buy' them."

Anyway, Associate A was on a real power kick right now, because she requested/told/intimidated to my cousin for him to go up and down the aisles a third time to find the ear buds. Meantime, there were more customers in the store, and even without hearing what was going on, what with all the associates in the area of my cousin, and what with the gestures and body language being displayed by all, it was clear to all, just by watching, that something was 'up' and my cousin was at the center of it. And another associate showed up - she obviously was very much aware of what was going on and did open a cash register nearby, all the while tracking what was going on with Associate A and cousin. Associate B (at the front register) was also obviously tracking/watching closely what was going on, and so was Associate C. Wow! Wow, Wow! Something was so not right here.

Associate A was still on a power kick of some kind, because when cousin returned from the third time, shrugging, and apologizing, and still not finding them, she asked/told/'intimidated' him into going and searching again a fourth time. Remember, he is developmentally delayed/learning impaired, so he did go again. He went cheerfully and politely and searched a fourth time.

Around the second or third time, when cousin stated he couldn't find them, Associate A said words to the effect: "How can you not find something that you just set down such a short while ago?" There was definitely a loud message/implication being screamed out here: "Duh, of course you can't find them anywhere, because we all know where they're at, don't we?" What the heck? Based on his medical diagnosis, it is entirely possible he did forget where they were set. It is possible that he may have returned to the area he believed he set them, but due to other customers browsing through shelves/racks/bins, they may have shifted/been shuffled so as to not be visible by now. She was totally wrong to send cousin four times to search for an item that he set down when he decided not to buy it after all. And she did this not once, but four, yes, four times.

It is not a crime to change your mind about buying something. It is not a crime to set something down (that you looked at and decided not to buy) in any location rather than to which it was when you picked it up. It is not a crime (even if was witnessed by associates or security camera monitors) - it is not a crime even if a customer put something in their pockets/bodies whatever even if they were seen doing this. It does not become a crime until/unless the customer leaves the doors of the store without paying for it.

After the fact, it became clear that no one saw him hide this somewhere on his body, yet it also became very clear that someone was very nervous/apprehensive about the possibility that cousin may have it concealed, may steal it - and so he was treated unfairly and rudely even.

The end result, cousin's parents called the store the next day to talk to the manager. The parents told the manager there was a weird situation that happened the day before and they started to explain. The manager said, "I know exactly what you are talking about, I was there." "What? you were there, and you let this happen?" his parents were saying, "not once, not twice, but four times, you observed your employee publicly humiliating our son by sending him scurrying all around the store searching for a misplaced item? You allowed this? When in fact, it was this associate's job even to replace misplaced items to their rightful place, not our sons? You allowed this to happen in front of several other store employees and several customers as well, and you did nothing, said nothing to your employee to stop this? Maybe, it would have been acceptable (probably not, but) maybe it would have been acceptable/tolerated for Associate A to ask this of our son once, but to intimidate him into doing it four times, with the same result, is unforgivable."

The manager apologized on the phone, and did say they did review the security cameras and were able to go right to where the ear buds had been placed. Why didn't they have one of those four associates (the manager perhaps?) looking at the security tapes even as cousin/son was being sent back and forth/back and forth? Parents did then call Corporate Customer Relations next and explained what happened. Parents explained to them, and to the manager, that this could not have happened at a worst time.

Cousin/son is a very nice young man, and even the store manager stated this, but he is getting lots of teasing and peer pressure to not be that way, not be such a polite and friendly "rule-follower." This type of situation, if he shared with his friends, would just give them more fodder to use in trying to influence him to stop being so nice and dare him to 'prove' he can hang/handle things such as lying/stealing. Cousin's parents did tell Corporate Customer Relations they would like to hear back from them in a couple days, but haven't heard anything as of yet.

His parents and my family are not doing business any more with 'this' Walgreens, perhaps not ever with Walgreens at all. Neither of our families use the store for prescriptions - we do "on the go/impulse shopping" there, which we could easily do elsewhere. This store is just convenient because it is closest to the street and on the corner. There are plenty of other stores, nearby though, so not going to Walgreens would not be a major problem.

I visited the Walgreens store in Centreville, VA at RT28 RT29 on Saturday, April 20, 2013. They had advertised Nexcare Bandages for $3.50. You get back $3.50 in Register Rewards. They were out of stock. I asked for a rain check, but they refused. I contacted Walgreens online chat. They said it is up to the store to give a rain check. What rubbish! If you don't have an item in stock, it is customary to give a rain check. Walgreens is anti-consumer. Do not give them your business. Take it some place else like CVS.

I went back to the pharmacy at 5:55 pm to pick up the script, only to find that it was locked up tight and everyone had gone home. I called the store manager, who very nicely told me there was nothing she could do. She called the pharmacist and the corporate office - no answer, no response. I want customer service from a pharmacy. Go elsewhere!

I shopped here for mostly for organic energy bars and also a few green and natural personal products. However, I'm not really happy with their customer service at the moment and will likely take my business elsewhere. This morning, I sent Drugstore.com the following message: "I placed order ** on 10/10/12 and received it on 10/15/12. I went camping/hiking in Limekiln State Park on 11/2/12. I ate either one or two of the PROBAR Simply Real Whole Food Meal Bar Apple Cinnamon on this trip and do not remember a problem. (I may have just not noticed any mold, or it may have taken longer to develop.) However, I went caving in Santa Cruz on 12/9/12 and when I opened one of the PROBAR Simply Real Whole Food Meal Bar Apple Cinnamon, I saw some fuzz on the outside of the bar. I stared at it for a while, not sure if it was actually mold or just a sticky film of sugar.

"Since I was hungry, I took a bite but I started to feel more and more uneasy. Figuring it was a fluke, I threw it away and opened another bar I had of another flavor. Later, on 1/13/13, I went day hiking at Mount Tamalpais. I tried another PROBAR Simply Real Whole Food Meal Bar Apple Cinnamon. This one was fuzzy, too, so I threw it out. At this point, I remembered that the last time I ate this bar on 12/9/12, it had the same problem. Thus, I checked the expiration date and saw that it had expired in October 2012. Basically, it looks like I was mailed a case of meal replacement bars that expired on 10/20/12 - ten days after I ordered it and five days after I received it. Therefore, I would either like a replacement case or a refund. If necessary, I can mail you the uneaten bars that I still have lying around in storage at your expense."

They responded that they have a 30-day refund policy but they would only make a one-time exception by providing me with an in-store credit for any uneaten bars that I return to them. In case it was lost in my long description, ** Drugstore.com mailed me a case of energy bars that expired 10 days after I ordered it and only five days after I received it. Of course, they should take responsibility for that. As for their 30-day refund policy, it took me three months to realize that there was a problem with the bars. And, yes, to be fair, I delayed partly because it had been a few months since I had ordered the energy bars and wasn't sure Drugstore.com would do anything about it and partly because I had other things going on at the beginning of this year.

So because of Drugstore.com, I unwittingly ate two expired bars (yech!) and threw out two other moldy bars. But they will give me an in-store credit for the remaining eight if I mail them back to Drugstore.com. Never mind that the entire order expired before I eat any of it and that I threw part of it away before I realized it was a problem with the entire case. I do not expect to shop at Drugstore.com again and would not recommend it to anyone else either. However, if you choose to shop there regardless and buy any large quantities of perishables from this company, I strongly advise you to check all the expiration dates as soon as you receive them even if it is burdensome to do right away.

I have been filling my pain meds at Walgreens for the past 2 years or so. Every month I come in on time (never early), but regardless the pharmacist and staff give me the hardest time. But I don’t complain as long as I get it filled, because I know the dirty little tricks they tried to pull on me in the past like lying and saying it’s not in stock but refuse to order it LOL... Anyhow, last month when I went to refill my pain meds, I noticed 2 new pharmacists, and soon after, the problem began. As soon as I presented my script, they refused to fill it and I politely tried to explain to the morons that I had been coming here the past 2 years getting this filled at this exact location and for the exact same meds and exact same doctor.

Would you believe they refused to even look up my history in the computer and tried to humiliate me in front of the other customers and employees? Her reason was simply that neither she nor the other pharmacist felt comfortable filling for this particular doctor. Wow, really! So I raised hell and told them both where to go and how fast to get there. Then, I went to a second Walgreens location, only to be given the same sorry excuse and again humiliated! So I decided to formulate a plan; since they wanted to lie and play games, I would do the same damn thing.

I drove yet to another Walgreens location, the 3rd one! I took theater class in high school, so I decided to make use of my skills. I put my shirt on backwards, dusted off my walking cane, jacked my hair up a little bit, began drooling, dragging my feet like I was mentally ill, and walked in the store with my script. I got to the counter and drop it there for the pharmacist to see. She took one look at me and one look at the script. Needless to say, well, I walked out Walgreens with my pain meds in less than 20 min. without saying a word! So if that’s what I have to do once a month at this location, you guys better look for me on the big screen real soon! Academy award goes to me! It’s a damn shame one has to even go through this BS, but I decided I would outsmart the fox.

I really do not like to complain but I feel the Walgreens Pharmacy that I have been using needs to be investigated because if it is happening to me, then it is happening to others. To start with, I have a very bad back and have had multiple surgeries to try and fix it to relieve the pain. I have a prescription each month with a specific number of tablets of a controlled substance. I take them as prescribed so I am sure not to run out. For the month of March, I ran out three days early and was really confused as to why and just figured that the pharmacy made an error.

We are all human so I did understand but was a little upset that I had to go three days without the proper med doses to help me through the day. Then I filled my prescription today and decided to count them just to be sure, because I know there are a lot of problems in the world with controlled substance. To my surprise, my medication was two days short of what it should be. I have always trusted the pharmacy and never even considered that this could happen but I guess it does. So last month, 15 tablets were missing and this month 10 tablets are missing from my bottle. If they are taking a few from me, then it's a pretty good possibility that they are taking from other people as well and it could end up being a very big problem for others.

I am not trying to get back what was taken. I just would like for the pharmacy that has been filling my prescription to be investigated so it will not happen to other people. The last thing I would want to be doing is picking up my medications and dumping them out to count them to make sure they are all there. I should not have to and I do not think it would look good on me or the store. Due to the fact that I had problems with this store in the past with other issues, I plan to trade pharmacies so this will not be an issue for me anymore, but I hope that the problem is resolved so others will not have this problem. Thank you in advance.

April 1, 2013: I don't drive so I had my mother go to our local Walgreens (store #6589) located on Mahoning Ave and St Rt 46 Austintown, Ohio. She went up to the pharmacy and handed my Rx for anxiety. The lady looked at it and said, "I can't fill this until April 3rd because she got this filled on March 5, 2013," then handed it back to my mother. My mother came back home only a few minutes later and said that they will not fill it. I asked her if they ran it through the computer. She said no, she just looked at it and gave it back. So my mother had to drive to the other Walgreens, which is about a 20-minute drive. The pharmacy there took it, ran it through and said it will be ready in about 5 minutes.

This is not the first time they have done this to me. The Walgreens in Austintown, Ohio are very rude and lazy. When I handed them my prescriptions for my pain and anxiety, they looked at me like I'm a druggie and sometimes refuse to fill it until the 31 days. The other time I had to go through the ER. The Austintown, Ohio pharmacy is a 24-hour store. My husband went in to get the Rx filled and they said they can't fill it because they don't take our insurance, which is Medicaid. She gave the Rx back to him with a smirk on her face. He came back out to the car and we had to drive 20 minutes, and this Walgreens had no problem filling it.

I've called the management to complain about the service and even then they were rude. Fair warning: If you don't want to get treated like some druggie or just because you have some other type of insurance, don't go to Walgreens (store #6589) located on the corner of Mahoning Ave and St Rt 46.

I am totally disabled and on Medicaid. My physician prescribes ** for pain control of colitis. He issues me a prescription for a 30-day supply. On February 25, 2013, I submitted my prescription for ** to the above referenced Walgreens Pharmacy. The date on the label shows the prescription was filled on February 25, 2013. Their website shows the prescription was not filled until February 26, 2013. On March 25, 2013, I submitted a prescription for ** to the same pharmacy. The representative stated that the prescription could not be filled until April 1, 2013, because I had not picked up the previous prescription for ** until March 1, 2013. In response, I stated, "You are going by the pickup date of March 1, 2013, versus the dispensing date of February 25, 2013." The representative responded, "Yes."

Questioning Walgreens' use of the pickup date, on the morning of March 26, 2013, I called Medicaid and spoke to a representative by the name of Dawn. She ran a trial claim for a prescription of **, and she said that it was accepted and approved. I explained to Dawn that Walgreens was using the pickup date versus the dispensing date. She stated to call Walgreens Pharmacy and asked when the prescription for ** could be filled. Immediately I called the same Walgreens Pharmacy. I asked the representative by the name of Maryann when my prescription for ** could be filled. She pulled up my profile and stated it could not be filled until April 1, 2013, because I had not picked up the previous prescription for ** until March 1, 2013. I questioned her about using the pickup date. She stated that it was the law to use the pickup date, and she could do nothing about it.

In response, I told her it was not the law because I had just spoken to Medicaid, and they ran a trial claim for the **, and it was accepted and approved. I told her it was Walgreens Pharmacy policy to use the pickup date and not the law. Today, March 29, 2013, I submitted the same prescription for ** at a Walmart Pharmacy. They filled the prescription, and Medicaid accepted and approved it on their computer system. This clearly substantiated that Walgreens Pharmacy has created their own policy to use the pickup date versus the dispensing date. It is Walgreens Pharmacy's dirty little tactic to delay filling prescriptions.

As I am disabled, I am not always able to pick up my prescriptions on the same day I drop off the prescription at a pharmacy. I do not drive, and I have a caregiver drive me to the pharmacy. Furthermore, I schedule my appointments with my primary physician based on the dispensing date of ** and not the pickup date. The bottom line: A person could run out of his prescription because Walgreens Pharmacy is using the pickup date versus the dispensing date for **.

If this were life saving meds, that puts patients at risk. I've had nothing but great experience with this pharmacy for almost 8 years until lately. This has become frustrating.

Do not go to the pharmacy at Walgreens in Toms River, NJ that is near St. Catherine's Boulevard. They are all liars, and yes, this is a fair comment. They have screwed up so many times that I do not have the time to write them all.

In one instance, I brought a script to them and they stated to me that there was a new law where if you are on Medicaid, your doctor must register with Medicaid. I said my doctor is registered with Medicaid, but they said no, he isn't. I brought the script to the Walgreens about 7 miles from there and they filled it within 5 minutes, no problem. They called Medicaid and got the info. The Walgreens on St. Catherine's lies and tells you they called Medicaid when they didn't! On another occasion, some know-it-all named Mike at Walgreens on St. Catherine's said I couldn't fill my prescription on the 29th day. I had to wait until the day I would be out of pills to fill it.

I called my doctor and he said that they always fill it on day 29, and on day 28 sometimes, if there's going to be bad weather. I brought that one to the other Walgreens and it was filled in 5 minutes again. Another time, I wanted to make sure of my pill count and they shorted me by 6. Unfortunately, they said that since I didn't count them in front of them, I might have taken the missing pills. I expected it to be right. In other words, I have to dump them out in front of them when I get them and count them along with the pharmacist! Are you serious? The pharmacists there on St. Catherine's hold grudges and play God with your meds if you anger them. I have filed complaints through various sources, including Walgreens headquarters.

Do not go to this pharmacy! If you have scripts there, transfer them to a nearby pharmacy or the other Walgreens, not the one near St. Catherine's Blvd. People think they are going to play games with my medication and try to cover their errors? On another instance, I had a script and the girl at the counter told me that I had to call Medicaid and get a prior authorization, so they gave me a number. I called, and they told me that only a pharmacy can call for prior authorizations. There are a few more mistakes made. I will continue later on today. Remember, they lie about calling your insurance company. If they say they will call, watch them. Keep your eye on them and listen to what they say on the phone, that is, if they even call.

Am I angry? Yes. There's been over 8 mistakes that have cost me dearly. Do not go there. Please, trust me. Something suspicious is going on there. They automatically refill things that you don't need anymore, just to make money. This pharmacy should be closed down. They don't know the lengths I'm going to go through, including handing out flyers, posting things around the area, also in the local paper, but I will make sure it's all legal. I have 7 people from the area who are willing to picket outside. They really don't know what they started. At the end of this, I see it says "contact an attorney" and you can check the box. You don't think they are working with Walgreens? Come on! But let's see, for fun.

I went into a Walgreens Pharmacy Crosstown location in Tupelo, MS to ask the pharmacist (and she knows who she is) a question about an EOB from my Insurance company. Walgreens Pharmacy had been continually submitting claims to my insurance company for medications that I had not received or picked up. So I asked the pharmacist on duty to explain to me why this was happening. She told me that many times, the medications are billed to the insurance company but later restocked if they are not picked up by the patient. I then asked her why they would bill the insurance company if the medication had not been ordered, picked up or paid for by me, the patient. She began to get very irritated. She said that I needed to listen to what she was trying to tell me or else she was going to call the police! I was shocked!

So I asked for my EOB copy back so that I could leave the store. When I reached for it, she grabbed it and it ripped/tore. She said to me, "I am going to make sure that you do not get any more medications filled here again." She looked on the EOB and got my name, address (profile info) and put into the system, "Do not fill for this patient."

I have never seen anybody in a professional position behave this way and overstep her authority over such a trivial matter, just because we don't agree with an Insurance statement! Really! Something was definitely wrong or off with her that day. Even later when I contacted the pharmacy manager, she apologized for everything the pharmacist did at first and promised to remove the "Do Not Fill for this patient" off my profile. But two weeks later, when I called in to get my last medication refilled, it seems she forgot everything she said to me, even the apology and the part about how remorseful she was. Instead, she stated that she was not there that day but she was told that I had come in and upset the pharmacist. So I guess, it's okay for a pharmacist to threaten to call the police on a customer simply because the customer disagreed with her over an EOB statement. And I still do not understand why I am getting these fake EOBs.

I think, perhaps, she should not be working in the public arena with this type of demeanor or unsettling attitude. That was not the way to handle anything and I feel sorry for Walgreens because many more customers will be lost if they have to interact with this nutcase. There are many other pharmacies in the Tupelo, MS area that are more professional and accurate than Walgreens could ever be and I will be using one of these and encouraging my family and friends to do the same.

I use Walgreens and have been using them for a while now. Well, it has been problem after problem after problem. I have finally had all I can take. I bring my daughter's prescriptions in monthly, worth over $600, which is no loss for Walgreens and, every month, I have the same problems. I ask if they have my daughter's med in generic in stock. They always "yes ma'am" without checking. So this last time, when I asked the girl if she was sure and if she could check, she said, "Yes, ma'am, we do have it in," and never even began to check (this is a monthly tradition between me and Walgreens; it was).

Well, I give the lady my ID & insurance cards once again, like I do every month because, according to them, I never gave them my children's insurance information. The ID part I understand. Well, the lady told me to come back in about 3 hours (once again, every month)! I live about 15 miles from the pharmacy, so I came back to get my girl's prescriptions and guess what? Wow, they did not have it in stock, surprise! No, not really, SOS! As I got my prescriptions back so I could bring them somewhere else (this being the same girl I dealt with when I dropped them off), the girl was being really cocky like I did something wrong. So I asked her, "Weren't you the one who told me that you had them in stock?" And she said, "Yes," no "Yes, ma'am," no respect at all, nothing.

So I told her that I was tired of dealing with this every month (did I mention every month) and that I needed all prescriptions back, so I could leave and get my children's meds filled, and while she was getting them, I realize, hey, wait a sec, she never gave me my ID or insurance info back. So when I asked her for that, she said, "I gave them back to you already." I argued with her and told her, "No, ma'am, you did not." She replied with, "Yes, Ma'am, I did." So I got my prescriptions and told her that I was not going anywhere till she looked for my ID and insurance info.

Well, she looked for about 2 seconds and said she could not find it. Well, I called today and guess what is at the pharmacy waiting for me? Wow! It's my ID and Insurance card. So, I spoke to a manager and basically I got the vibe that she was not listening and if she was, she didn't care. Needless to say, I will never ever give Walgreens my time or effort or money! I could understand once but every month over and over is just pure laziness!

Also, hair dye black and blonde are not the only colors we use on our hair personally.

Instead, I found one box of black and on box of blonde and it's sad because there was almost a whole role of hair dye but none for me. Oh okay, they do have a tiny space in the store for African American hair product but even with that, I was insulted. The section is called specialty hair. I questioned that. What is specialty hair? I am a woman of color. I relax my hair instead of perming it. I hot curl, blow dry, wash and style my hair just like everyone else. So why are the products for my hair in a specialty section? I am insulted.

We have a new Randalls that opened up close to my house that offered a $25 gift certificate to transfer any prescriptions. I took advantage of the offer and when I picked up my exact same prescription from Randalls Pharmacy, it came to $24.50. I am a senior citizen on a very limited income, with no prescription insurance and I was absolutely furious. A difference of $80 for the same medication! I went back to Walgreens 4 points and was told by Josh that he would contact his DM regarding this overcharge.

A week later, Josh said he had spoken to his district manager and offered me the difference in price in a Walgreens gift card. Obviously, they agreed I have been overcharged or they would not have offered me this compromise. Unfortunately, I cannot pay my bills with a Walgreens gift card nor would I ever shop in a store that was blatantly overcharging the public. I want Walgreens to do the right thing. I want a full refund of the difference in a cash or check. That would be $400 and I want them to adjust their prices to coincide what others are offering. How many people and insurance companies are being ripped off by their excessive prices? I cannot afford to pay an attorney to contact me, but if one is provided pro bono, I would be happy to speak with them.

For years, I had been dealing with Walgreens in Roseburg, Oregon. Most of the time, they were very easy to work with other than having to straighten out problems with my medications. But today, when I called in my refill for an inhaler, I didn't expect to have a problem. Normally they just filled it. But about an hour later, I received a call from the pharmacist saying that they were no longer accepting my insurance. I was livid. I was told that starting the first of January 2013, they had stopped taking my type of insurance.

Well, this was news to me as I had never been notified of the change. Since I was not aware of the change, I now have to go out of my way to find another pharmacy to fill my scripts. Walgreens was closer to where I live, but now I have to go further to fill them. Thanks Walgreens for your superb customer service. Not! I will never give Walgreens any more of my business in the future. And I would recommend that you find a pharmacy that will not just deny your insurance either.

After about a week, I noticed my blood pressure was not going down and this was unusual. I informed my cardiologist of this, and she told me to make an appointment with my primary doctor which I did. Before that appointment, I ended up in the emergency room where my blood was 210/111. I had a stroke level reading. When I visited my doctor and noticing the mgs he was giving me, I found it was the original dosage of 20/25. When I looked on the bottle of the last prescription, I noticed it was 20/12.5 which is not my dosage. This has happened before back earlier in 2012. I live alone, and with my blood going as high as it was, I could have had a stroke or even died in my home and no one would have known what happened. This is the second time as I mentioned this has happened, and I will be seeking legal counsel regarding this matter.

I am currently being treated for a chronic back issue by one doctor for the past 5 years. I went to the dentist on Jan. 02 of 2013 to have a tooth pulled. I received a prescription that is similar to the prescription for my back pain, but the prescription from the dentist was a lower dose. Walgreens Rx refused to fill this prescription from the dentist as opposed to never having a problem with fulfilling these in the past, and I was told to take the medication that was prescribed by "my other doctor" who is not a dentist for the pain.

The problem is, as I told the pharmacist, I am under a strict regimen with the meds prescribed by my orthopedic, and I only take them at certain times during the day regularly but because of the strength of the meds, I cannot sleep at night if taken at night. This sounds a little illegal to me in the first place. I have a legal script from dentist that was refused.

Is not Walgreens actually suggesting I commit a fraud, in that I use the prescription I already have through another doctor paid for by my insurance without his knowledge thereof? Fraud occurs when prescriptions are falsely acquired through insurance under the name of another individual. My orthopedic is monitoring the use of this medication. And how am I going to explain where these extra doses are going?

So, in essence, this pharmacy flat out wants me to overtake a monitored prescription at a higher dosage that dentists do not usually prescribe in the first place given through a separate prescription from another doctor and without any notification or proof of the pharmacy contacting my orthopedic about this. The way I see it, it seems this is illegal micro-management of my prescribed meds.

When I asked to be reimbursed for the cell charges, they passed the buck and suggested I call Walgreens. This cell phone is used solely for communication for anyone who needs to contact me regarding the Alzheimer's patient. It seems they don't care. They are stealing money from someone who is disabled. I had the doctor resend the prescription. I received multiple automated voice and text messages that my prescription was ready, then delayed for no apparent reason. I picked up the prescription. Now when I went to pick up a refill of the same prescription, after waiting 20 minutes at the drive-thru, I was told the insurance would not cover it because it was early.

My doctor specifically sent a note stating that I needed this medication taken continuously for medical reasons. I never had an issue refilling this prescription at CVS, which leads me to believe it is not my insurance's fault but Walgreens. I definitely regret taking my business here and will go back to being a CVS customer despite it being farther from my home. Then he called the photo lab person and told her that "Here is the person who's missing the pictures, and she (I) knows that she is missing them." What does that mean? Why didn't they call me if they know that they have made a mistake?

Then after a long waiting because he spent so much time on the phone, he said he can't print my missing pictures because it's not in the system. The system only show that they didn't print them! He offered to print them or refund. He want to pay me only $63 (?). But I paid $201 and I'm missing nearly half of my pictures! I said print them because I'd deleted them from my memory card! He said they don't have my pictures in file! I lost pictures of my BFF's wedding, pictures of a trip to Atlantis and pictures of a European trip! It's gone! I can't get them back! I've deleted them because I thought it's a trusted company and they won't screw me! They did! I'm devastated! You should be ashamed of your staff and your "printing business"!

I have been a Walgreens customer since the 1970s and have always been happy with their service in the extreme. I've never encountered anything, but the best service from their store personnel. And many times, they've gone out of their way to help me. But I had Polio in the 1950's and now have "Post-Polio". So for the last 10 years, I have required a good number of pain and other medications and am now on Medicare. Last year, for the first time, I fell into the "Donut Hole" where Medicare quits paying anything for drugs. Unable to understand why this could happen, and after having to pay over $3,000 out of pocket with deductibles and such, I went to Wal-Mart and compared their prices with Walgreens’. I was in shock. Walgreens had been charging me almost exactly 200% what I'd have been paying if I'd been going to Wal-Mart.

To find out that Walgreens had been charging me, over a period of many years, what I'd have been paying somewhere else was shocking. I then called my local independent pharmacy and had them compare their prices with Walgreens; and their prices, which I expected to be high, were still only 75% of Walgreens. If I were still working and on a good insurance policy, I'd probably have taken my business there, as I like to support local businesses as much as possible. But now every penny is important to me and I'm now a customer of Wal-Mart. I do not especially like Wal-Mart's business model, but I can't afford to throw several thousand dollars away yearly. If you are a customer of Walgreens Pharmacy, please do a price comparison as I did. You may be amazed. It also makes me wonder how much of an impact their high prices have on health care costs in our nation and what would happen if Medicare were allowed to negotiate drug prices.

During this 9/6/12 doctor's appointment, I met another patient who is on morphine as well, and through which I learned her source pharmacy was Walgreens at 13698 SW 8th Ave. On the morning of 9/14/12, I went to Walgreens store #6013 and presented my prescription for morphine together with my doctor's 9/6/12 appointment/business card and driver's license. After taking my prescription, the pharmacist said she would check to see if they had the medication in stock. When she said that I told her I take two 15 mg tablets or 30 mg per day, that in order to get my prescription filled there, I would be willing to go back to the doctor and ask him to modify the prescription to 30 mg tablets. I didn't think he would have a problem with that being that source suppliers for ** are so apparently few and far between.

During that time, she was running my name through the computer and viewing my Walgreens drug prescription profile and discovered that ** was not listed as a drug/prescription that Walgreens had filled for me before. She proceeded to ask me what pharmacy had been filling my ** prescription and wanted to know why I was bringing it to Walgreens instead of taking it to them. It was at that point that I told the pharmacist that the prior source pharmacy had told me they would not be filling prescription anymore, without explanation. The pharmacist went on to tell me my prescription couldn't be filled anyway as FDA records showed the 15th as the date a 30-day date that it could be refilled. I told her that was fine, I was not out, and that I would be willing to wait, come back, and pick it up when it was ready.

At that point she handed me back the prescription and I asked her, "Well, did you place an order for me for the 15mg tablets, or should I go back to my doctor and ask him to modify my prescription to 30 mgs so that I can get it filled here?" Then she said, "I will try to order it," and I said, "Excuse me, you will try to order it? "You are going to order a drug for me after I leave the store and yet sent me out of the door without retaining prescription?!" I said, "To my knowledge and understanding, you are not obligated to order any medication in my behalf without retaining the prescription?!" She said, "It will not be in before next week, and we are not allowed to keep a prescription for longer that 10 days."

When she said that, I reminded her that the date was the 9th, my due date was the 15th, which was less than a week and 10 days. At that point, she said I would have to accept in good faith that she would order the ** in 15 mg tablets on my behalf, and that she would call me when it came in. At that time, I requested her to put the order in while she had my information up on the computer screen and before I leave the store - and she printed out some paper that had ** 15 mg tablets written therein but my name was nowhere written there upon. In between and during my attempt to get this prescription filled, the pharmacist wanted to know if I had visited the nearest Walgreens to this particular store and I told her no, that I had previously went through the motions of presenting my morphine prescription to Walgreens stores throughout Miami-Dade County when I first got the prescription to no avail.

Moreover, I told her I had previously contacted Walgreens Corporate in an attempt to get an address or referral for a Walgreens in Miami-Dade where I could get my prescription filled only to discover, to my profound dismay, that Walgreens Corporate does not provide such store/drug-source information! Additionally, I had told her that I had information or otherwise reason to believe that this particular Walgreens was purportedly one or the only exclusive or readily available source of ** in Miami-Dade County - to which she took exception, vehemently denied, and repeatedly insisted that I was misinformed on the subject matter. She did telephone one nearby pharmacy in an attempt to show me that she was trying to help me, but she wouldn't go beyond that to help me locate a Walgreens pharmacy where my morphine prescription could be filled.

From the very beginning, I sensed that this Walgreens pharmacist had made up her mind that she didn't want to provide pharmacy service to me based upon: 1) the type of medication I was receiving; and 2) I happened to be non-Hispanic, an African-American. The social, economic and racial demographic of the local community surround this particular Walgreens is pro-Hispanic, anti-black, and promotes a culture of disservice to outsiders and/or so-called undesirables. When I told the pharmacist that I was going to file a complaint against her to Walgreens corporate if she sent me out of the store with the prescription without ordering the **, she became irate, defensive, loud and very emotional so as to convey distress, coral support of colleagues and other Hispanic people in the store to let me know their will and their way would prevail over the facts and evidence of disservice.

On 9/14/12, I placed a call to my doctor's office and related the whole experience I had been subjected to in an attempt to get my prescription filled at Walgreens on the 9/9/12. Further, I asked her to call the pharmacist and to ask her in my behalf if Walgreens had ordered and was going to fill my ** prescription. The administrative assistant reluctantly agreed to call Walgreens on my behalf as she said she wasn't supposed, and for me to call her back in five minutes for the answer. Well, as things turned out, the doctor's administrative assistant ended up talking to the pharmacist and/or her colleagues for more than 45 minutes, never called me back as promised and/or related to me outcome or substance of the phone call supposedly on my behalf. As it turned out, the only message the doctor's administrative assistant had for me was to bring the prescription back in.

On the afternoon of 9/14/12, I took the prescription back to my pain doctor's office and turned it over to the administrative assistant. Some two hours later, she brought a new prescription for a new drug out to me without having the prior benefit of consultation with the doctor and/or giving the original ** prescription back to me to give me the opportunity to see if I could get it filled at another chain or independent pharmacy. As soon as I looked at the prescription and saw that my medication had been changed and that in the process Walgreens had been helped off the hook regarding their commitment to order the medication for me, I was so disappointed and frustrated I put the new prescription back through the window from which it had been handed to me, vocalized my thoughts and feelings on the matter and then walked out.

On 9/17/12, I called the administrative assistant of my pain doctor to request to be able to come back there and pick the prescription up. She told me she would talk to the doctor and call me back, which she hasn't. As of yesterday, I am out of ** without a substitute to prevent me from going through withdrawals. I have reason to believe that the doctor's administrative assistant has orchestrated the closing of my medical service file without notifying me and leaving me without a source of service or supply of medication.

I went to pick up my refill at Walgreens in the drive-thru. I was told by the tech that they had to give me two different manufactures because they didn't have enough and that they divided the 2 manufactures of the pills by cotton (all in the same bottle, with my name and my prescription on it). I began feeling ill and a couple of days later, I could not figure out what was going on and something told me to look up the pill that Walgreens told me was the same pill, just a different manufacturer.

Guess what, it wasn't my pill, it was a ** and I was not taking the pill that I need to take, and that is why I felt sick. Walgreens admitted that they made a mistake, stated that the bottle wasn't marked properly and this is why I got the wrong pill. I was told this by the tech, pharmacy manager, district manager and Sedgwick. They think that they can just give me $800.00 and I will go away. I suffered in pain for a week because of their mistake, and my husband missed a week of work. Walgreens thinks they can do whatever they want and never have to pay for it.

I went to Walgreens and took a medication that requires prior authorization. When I went to the pharmacy, I was told it was refused by the insurance. I called my insurance carrier and they stated they had not heard from Walgreens. I went back to Walgreen and had my letter of authorization with me. The young tech assisting me was busy texting on her iPhone, playing games and was upset that I interrupted her. She said it was refused again. Finally, I reached the pharmacy manager and was told that he would call the insurance carrier. I have had to have partial refills at $10/pill. He stated that he would get it worked out and call me back, and get me a refund for the out of pocket expenses. He called and said that the insurance company told him it was authorized, but he couldn't run it through.

The pharmacy manager stated he would call me back in a few minutes, let me know when to pick up the prescription and that they would have a check for me for the overage I paid. I have not heard back, called corporate and am again waiting for a phone call. My physician advised me if they don't fill the prescription, I may have to be hospitalized in order to stabilize. Who is going to pay for this hospitalization? Currently, Walgreens owes me approximately $400 and while this isn't a huge sum, it is substantial when coming out of a tight budget in hard economic times. This seems to be standard operating procedure for this Walgreens, as I have heard other patients telling me the same thing. They are billed for full price and then told they will be refunded for any overage paid.

I will go into convulsions and seizures, so it's nothing to play around with. Apparently, someone saying they will call back is simply a ploy to get you to pay full price, instead of the discounted price the pharmacy gets from insurance. They pad their bottom line by forcing people to pay full cost. I am frustrated and worried that I will be hospitalized and Walgreens chooses to do nothing. For all you using Walgreens, I wish you the best. The company is heartless, has techs that play games and text on iPhones instead of helping customers, could not care less about the patient, and just try to inflate the bottom line.

I assumed there was a cash register at the photo center. When I looked back and saw that there was a cash register, I asked the clerk why she had sent me to the other cash register with a long line. There was no line at the photo center. She stated that she had another customer. It would have taken only a few seconds to ring me up. Poor service all the way around.

I am new with medicare. I just started with a new prescription insurance coverage. I broke my foot and could not go pick up a prescription. I called Walgreens Lakewood 117 and Detroit pharmacy and spoke to the manager, plus the pharmacist around 9PM last night. They said all was ready and the only thing my friend, who was driving from about 35 minutes to pick this up and bring it for me, that I must give him some info so they screen him to release the Rx. They assured all my insurance policies were entered and nothing would bar my friend from picking this up.

My friend called me from the pharmacy telling me they would not release the Rx. A new pharmacist was on duty. I spoke to him asking what was the problem. He said a balance of about $42 was due. I was not told of this by the prior pharmacist, as he reassured everything was in order and nothing would hold this up. My friend had not brought his wallet and had no money, so I asked the pharmacist to take my credit card over the phone. He said the policy is not to accept cards over the phone and said I must stop in to swipe the card. He was aware I could not move and this is why my friend came to pick up this Rx. I asked him if the prior pharmacist has advised about this transaction and he said no. He felt it was not the responsibility of the prior pharmacist to advise him of any future pickups.

I complained that this was a situation of negligence and he said that this was not the case whatsoever and could care less that this situation took place. I then spoke to the same supervisor who had facilitated this transaction earlier with the prior pharmacist and she was surprised that the first pharmacist did not advise that there was a copay and that I just send cash with my friend or have him bring his money so he could pick this up, and then I could refund him later. This is a major lack of communication from your pharmacists and the fact that the second pharmacist could care less speaks volumes of negligent patient care from these professionals.

As a physician, we have been trained to be most careful in every minute detail. If one writes 100mg ** IV shot for a patient, a good nurse, before injecting this will call asking if there was some typo and save a patient's life. This, for a couple of zeroes, can make the difference of a life. If the pharmacists there fail to note something as huge as a $45 or so copay and failed to advise me of the requisites of how to take steps to pick this Rx, all this situation could have been avoided. If a huge detail as that is missed, can you imagine how much more subtle can so easily be missed by these two pharmacists?

This speaks volumes of how negligent these two are. The second one felt there was really nothing wrong with any of this situation and snickered. This angered me to the point where I called the manager complaining about this. I then asked her to give me a phone number for consumer complaints and the number she gave me was 1-800Walgreens. That phone does not work. Because of this, I turned to this internet site to enter this complaint. I have not picked up the Rx yet because I am still bedridden and my friend can't go pick this up today. I request a written explanation about this please.

My husband lost a week's worth of ** and the drug company did an override and fill a whole 120-pill prescription, causing real problems. The next month it came due, they refused to fill, said it was too soon, and had to do a second override in order to fill it. By August, 3rd month, too soon to fill after 30 days. Again, we were recommended that we purchase the week's worth of pills for cash to get us through to the following week, when the refill would go through. Now the problems with Walgreens in Pennsville began.

I called the pharmacy and explained the situation, which they were well aware of anyway and said I needed to purchase the necessary pills. This is a controlled substance, so they refused to sell them to me even though our drug company, Medco, had told me to do so. I didn't know what to do but in 2 days, my husband was in full blown withdrawal. I looked up the medicine's withdrawal symptoms, saw that he could go into seizures and die. He already has a history of seizures, so I called Medco and asked their pharmacist what to do. He suggested we call the doctor. We did and he called Walgreens then ordered the meds.

Immediately, I drove right over to the Pennsville Walgreens to pick it up and again, they refused to fill it stating that they needed to speak to the doctor personally and that he wouldn't be back in the office until Wednesday! This was Monday! I called the doctor back immediately from the parking lot and he called them and again, ordered the meds. Again they refused to fill it. This medication cannot be stopped cold turkey and especially after being on it for years. They have to know this. We ended up getting it from another pharmacy and we are taking all of our prescriptions out of Walgreens. I wouldn't so much as buy a piece of paper from them ever again!

The way they treated me was unforgivable. I could see if it was a pain medication that is taken as needed, but this is a medication that has to be taken 4 times a day every day! They were always good to us until this, but I will never go back there once our prescriptions are out of there!

When your children go to school and there's a new substitute teacher, pretty much they color all day and wait for their regular teacher to return. Walgreens appears to run their pharmacies with a large supply of crayons. One is left to wonder if they always "Have to order that" because credit for Walgreens is tight. Do their suppliers limit them or stop delivering until they get paid? Does Walgreens ever just fill something? I was amazed when attempting to fill a standard prescription. After waiting 10 minutes with no response at the drive-up window, I parked and went inside to discover three employees coffee clatching.

The substitute sauntered to the counter, annoyance evident at being disturbed. "Okay," he said, "I'll fill this this time, but next time you have to take (fill in other drug brand-cheaper for them, useless for me)". My response? Envision a whisper, a wiggling finger, and pointing out of the window. "See that over there?" pointing to the competitor. "How many of those do you think there are in, say, 1/4 mile?" "I don't know," he replied. "Maybe thirty? Forty, even?" I said. "I don't have a clue," he said, posturing. Annoyed again. "Me neither," I quipped, not whispering now, "But next time, you won't have to be disturbed. One of those folks will fill this just as the doctor wrote it." Envision color draining from his face.

To the store-not pharmacy-manager's credit, he called the day after to see why my family's (live-in 80+ mother-in law, four children, husband's, and my) prescriptions were moved across the street. He apologized several times and then offering to have the young man from the night before drop the items off anytime if it would be more convenient. Funny, though. The folks next door just put the stuff, the right stuff, in the bottles and I drove away in a few minutes. No crayons.

The first incident was when I count the pills, it was short by two. I called the pharmacy and let them know. They gave me additional two tablets on my next visit. The second incident was that it was short again and from that time they put markings on the bottle: “double count/count in front of her.” For months it was okay as I always picked up from the drive-thru, count it when I get home and it's okay. But this time, 8/6/2012, refills were picked up again at the drive-thru. I counted it when I got home and it was short again. For a family of 5 with prescriptions filled at Walgreens, the only meds that are being counted short are my Schedule II sleeping pills. I called the pharmacy again and she called back the next day claiming my daughter who picked up from the drive-thru said ‘no’ when asked to count in front of her. She also said, “You have to pick up inside so we can count in front of you.”

So I told her picking at the drive-thru is more convenient for us, but you want us to come inside instead of making sure all of your pharmacy staff will do a competent job. She told me I am the only one complaining for getting shortage. Yes, probably because I am the only one double-counting the pills. I also mentioned to her that I was a pharmacy technician for 11 years in Hawaii, so I know the job and never shorted anyone because we can't dispense (only the pharmacist after he/she checked it). She never said they will replace the shortage this time and never said sorry. Again, I told her I am going to use another pharmacy. Her answer: "That's good, too.” This is a message to Walgreens pharmacy customers: always count your pills because they are incompetent or are stealing from you because my experience was repeatedly done on my Schedule II meds, not on the other meds.

As I entered the store, the manager and security were in the front end of the store. I found my perfect card and walked to the register. When I approached the counter, the registers were all empty with no employees. There was one employee selecting gum for purchase. He asked the security officer if there was any gum on sale; he said no. Then he called someone to maintain the front while he went on a break. Two other customers were now waiting for the register to be occupied by an employee for check out.

The employee went ahead of me, so I politely asked if employees always purchase before customers. He quickly apologized and stepped to the side. This is where it gets crazy. The security in a very loud authoritative tone said that the reason for the employee doing it was because I was not in the correct section where the line starts. I quickly turned around and told him his opinion was not necessary as it didn't add value to the circumstances. He yelled and I said to him that the customer is always right and that his actions were obnoxious. The other customers were shocked!

He then proceeded to inform the cashier to give me back my money and for me to get the hell out of the store. I was shocked, embarrassed by his actions and couldn't believe the manager that was on the side stood in silence. I laughed, continued my purchase and he said he was going to pray for me because my kind of people need prayer. I am an educated Latino who has a college degree with a solid career. So my kind of people didn't sit right with me and suggested for him to go get an education. Maybe then, he will learn the fundamentals of customer service and the value of his 8 dollar an hour security job. It was unexpected and unacceptable!

Both my mother and my niece counted them. There should have been 60 but there were only 30. The box was checked, which means that the count was double checked. They called the pharmacy back, in which they gave her the remaining 30.

This happened one other time but my mother was not accompanied by anyone. She contacted the pharmacy insisting that they did not give her all of her medication. Why Walgreens is failing as a company? It is no wonder that Walgreens’ stock has dropped so dramatically (it has lost nearly 40% over the past year and a half) recently! This company is one of the most poorly managed and poorly run companies out there. I am the head of one of the largest San Francisco based hedge funds, and I have traded exorbitant quantities of this stock. Thanks to a power-hungry, incompetent pharmacist, I will make sure my company (which manages 4 billion dollars) never buys Walgreens again. In fact, I will be shorting the hell out of the stock and that is my advice to all of you!

One of the pharmacists at a store in San Francisco was so unbelievably rude to my son today, and I am beside myself. I cannot believe Walgreens would be so irresponsible to employ someone like this. Someone who hates his job, hates his weak salary, and makes it his mission to ruin everyone else’s day and to outright insult his customers. My son, who is in chronic pain due to 5 slipped disks (we have three years of documentation detailing this), was basically called a "drug dealer" by this pharmacist. The pharmacist took his prescription and told my son that he wasn’t going to fill it. And when my son asked why, the pharmacist could not answer him

The pharmacist kept saying "Do you want me to call the cops" and my son remained very calm (I witnessed this whole thing FYI) and kept saying "What is wrong?" And the man kept this sick, twisted smile on his face the entire time as he proceeded to tell my son "he knew what he was doing" and that "he will get caught and go to jail". The man could not answer my son's simple question of what he did wrong. Why couldn’t he answer this question? Because my son has done nothing wrong! Yet he is made to feel like a criminal by this incompetent **. He started crying on the way home. He was so upset at the way he was treated and how he was humiliated in front of the entire store by this rude human being.

My son already hates the fact that he has to take pain meds at all. But due to his horrific pain, he has no choice. This man made him feel so much worse about himself, and he made him feel like he should be so ashamed that he needs these meds. I don’t want to sue or anything extreme like that, but I want this man fired. He was beyond unprofessional, and the creepy smile he kept on his face the whole time made him seem sociopathic. All in all, not only will I never go back to Walgreens, but I am also calling my health insurance company (the company that my hedge fund contracts with to provide health care to my 7,500 employees) to add a clause to our health care plan eliminating Walgreens as one of the contracting pharmacies. Two lessons to take away from this experience: 1) Never go to Walgreens pharmacy; and 2) Short Walgreens stock!

Pharmacy Complaint Store # 11105 - I moved to the Ocoee, FL area about a year ago. I have been a Walgreens customer for many years. When I lived in Orlando, I never had any problems with my neighborhood Walgreens location. The pharmacy staff was always very friendly and helpful. I have a pain medication prescribed to me for severe chronic headaches. The Orlando store which I used monthly for a long time never gave me any issues with that medication or any other medication I had to fill. However, the Ocoee, FL store located at 8802 W. Colonial Dr. has the worst pharmacy staff and customer service I have ever dealt with.

Two weeks ago, I had a major surgery, a hysterectomy where my uterus and cervix were taken out of my body. Needless to say, I was prescribed a pain medication while I am healing to help so I can be comfortable at home now that I am home and no longer in the hospital. I had a follow up appointment with my OB/Gyn today, July 18, 2012, to make sure I am healing well. She did many tests and also refilled my pain medicine. I took this prescription to the Walgreens on West Colonial in Ocoee and was treated like I am some kind of junkie.

First, the pharmacy lady whose name is ** questioned if the medicine was for me. I kindly said yes. She then proceeded to hold the prescription paper up to the light as if I had just given her a fake prescription. After she did that, she called my OB/GYN and asked if I was a patient there and if I was given the prescription. She was told that yes, I am a patient and, yes, I was seen today and given a medication refill for my pain medication. She didn't like that answer and told me I had to wait until the nurse called back on this medicine. I showed her my receipt from my visit this morning showing where I had paid my co-pay and it clearly showed the practice name and address which, of course, matched my prescription. This also was not good enough for her.

I went and sat down and called my OB/GYN office to try and find out what was going on. They were unsure and said they would speak to her. The pharmacist refused to speak to her and said they had to call her directly. My OB/GYN's office did not understand what the pharmacist's problem was. While I was on this call, the pharmacist asked me from behind the counter in front of other customers what exactly it was I had done to need this kind of medicine. I told her nicely that my condition is between me and my doctor but if it will speed things up, I just recently had a Hysterectomy. She gave me a nasty look and told me she would not fill my prescription until my nurse called.

I considered asking her if she wanted me to lift my shirt and show her my surgery incisions on my abdomen. However, I nicely said, "Okay, I will come back later when it is ready." About 20 minutes later, I got the text alert it was ready and returned to the Walgreens store. She again asked for all of my information, my driver's license and payment. She then tells me very nasty that she will not refill my medicine for me again from my OB/Gyn and not to return there with this type of prescription.

I was, needless to, say shocked at the treatment I was given. Sadly, this was not the first time I was treated horribly at this pharmacy. This is just the worst I was treated. I felt like because I am a mid-thirties white female and this lady is Asian, she discriminated against me. She treated me as if I were some kind of drug addict, and she was rude and nasty towards me about my medication in front of other customers. I have never been made out to feel like I am some kind of bad person before in my life. I personally do not feel she has any business being a pharmacist or dealing with customers. If you are someone who needs a good pharmacy, I would strongly advise avoiding this location. I will also be filing a formal complaint to the Walgreens Corporate office.

I picked up my medication last night at 22:15. At 03:00, I was getting ready to separate them for a trip. I noticed my bottle wasn't full so I counted them and I was 33 short on one med and 5 short on another. I called the pharmacy they said to call back at 10:00, so I called at 13:00. The manager made out like I stole my own medications that I have been on for 7 years and never had this problem. The manager named Clark made me feel like crap. He said to file a police report, so I am going to do this. I was treated rudely and I feel one of the pharmacist is stealing people's medications and nothing is going to be done about this because the manager rather think that I am a druggie than to actually find out what is going on.

This isn't the first time this has happened. About 4 months ago, I picked up my grandson's medication. I didn't look at it in the store because I was in a hurry. When I got home, 29 miles from the pharmacy, they had given me the medication of another person. It was heart medication. My grandson is 4 years old. How do you get heart and allergy medication mixed up? Something and somebody needs to be held accountable.

So through no fault of mine, she refused to honor it instead of taking it and making the necessary corrections. She then proceeded to argue with me over the issue and reprimanded me for not having a receipt for an item I purchased a few weeks ago. She was belligerent, argumentative and the worst manager I have ever been contact with. I mean, why would I present a ticket for an item which costs $6 when I am purchasing other products that cost more? I left the store and asked her to take the ticket back and do whatever she wanted with it.

This is about the Pharmacy in the Walgreens located at 8200 Royal Palm Blvd., Coral Springs, FL 33065. I called the pharmacy on Thursday, June 21, 2012, asking if I could refill my pain medication that I have been getting there for almost a year now, as I have a severe back injury and it is difficult for me to just drive to the location and I do not want to make unnecessary trips. The pharmacist refused to tell me and said I had to come in.

So I put on my back brace and drive there. Sure enough, they said it is 1 day too soon. I said, "One day; isn't there a grace period of 2-3 days?" They said, "No, this is a controlled substance." I know what it is. I have been taking it for almost a year now, and I don't need to be told that it's very demeaning. So I said, "Fine, but can you please check you have in stock my ** 250mg, as this prescription is always a problem and it's never in stock, further delaying my refill." They said yes and that they would have the full amount and said they would scan my prescriptions and I could have it after 12. I said, "I would like it earlier if you are making me come back tomorrow." They said no. I said, "What if I'm the first person here at 9am, can I then get it by at least 10am?" They said, "No, we usually have a lot of prescriptions to fill in the mornings."

I was not happy at this point, so I left. The next morning, I came in and gave the prescriptions. And exactly as I thought, they don't have the full refill of my prescriptions, not even enough to get me through the weekend. Yet, they charge me for the full amount. I asked to speak with a manager, as this is unacceptable. At this point, he then did nothing but referred me to the pharmacist, who said, "How can I help you?" I explained the situation, and he said that someone came that morning and took the last of the medication I needed. I know he is lying. So I asked, "Why is it someone who has a severe back injury and has been coming here for almost a year cannot be given even 1-day grace period to refill their medications." He said that it's against the law to refill them any sooner than 30 days. I said, "Ok, show me where it says that." He could not, because there is no such law.

I said that is not the law and that it is up to the pharmacist's discretion how early to refill a prescription and to not even give me 1 day to avoid a problem like this is ridiculous. He finally agreed that yes, it's up to him and that he never refills anything under 30 days, which I believe also is a lie. If I were 80 years old, it would be refilled 2-3 days early minimum. But since I look very young, I am being treated like a criminal. He said it was what it was. I said that was an unacceptable answer. So he said, "What can I do for you now?" I said to fill my prescriptions. He said he couldn't and again said, "What can I do for you now?" I said nothing. He said, "Exactly." I said, "But yesterday, you could have helped me, but you decided not to, creating this issue."

So I said that I wanted to file a complaint. He said, "About what? Us not having the medication to fill your prescription?" I said, "No, about you refusing to refill my prescription 1 day early, causing this whole problem and now not even having enough medicine to get me through the weekend." He said, "That's your choice." This guy is completely unprofessional, uncaring, uncompassionate, and unwilling to help me in any way. And the manager sat there clueless as to what to do. I said, "How do I file a complaint?" He said that it's on the back of the receipt. I said that there was nothing there but the Walgreens's 1800 number. He said it's on the front then the store survey. I was like "That's it, no forms in store or anything." He said no.

I am very unhappy with the way this stored treated me, lied to me, and caused a problem that could have been avoided easily, but they chose not to and is creating additional pain and suffering to my already painful condition. They charged me the full amount, so I could not even go to another store to get the rest of my prescription. I tried, and they could not believe the guy did this to me. I will never refill any prescriptions there again and will tell anyone to avoid this store, as they just don't care. They are acting like god and withholding medication when people with severe injuries, like me, need valid prescriptions filled.

Ever since Walgreens, I can’t catch a break. In August 2010, I was an employee at Walgreens, store 07832, I had notified my store manager, **, that I was moving soon and would like a transfer. The lease on my apartment was up soon and my rent was being raised, which I could not afford. I could not find another apartment that I could afford. I was barely making ends meet as it was. I had nowhere else to go except to my brother in Las Vegas, NV. My store manager put me back on probation, even though I had been working there for almost 2 years, and told me I had a to prove myself to him in order for him to get me a transfer. It is store policy that any Walgreens employee can transfer to any store anywhere approved by both managers.

I gave a 2 month notice, instead of a 2 week notice because I was put back on probation. I believe 2 months is more than enough time to call a few stores to arrange something. After a few weeks of no progress with my store manager, I began talking to the assistant managers I worked with as well called stores in the area of where I was moving. As my probation continued, I called out once since due to a family emergency and got a verbal warning which did not seem to affect my chances of getting a transfer, or as I thought.

A few days shy of a month before I was moving, I talked to my store manager of when my last day would be. With still no progress with a transfer, I still had to be out of my apartment one day after my last day at work. I left myself one entire day to pack up and clear out my apartment before I left California to Nevada. The night before I left for Nevada, I got a call from an assistant manager, that I was scheduled to work that night. I told the manager that the night before was my last night of work and I was flying out the next morning, and I had already cleared up things with the store manager beforehand. The assistant manager said "No call no show is an automatic termination."

I asked what I could do. I was in the middle of clearing out my apartment and packing for my flight the next morning. She told me there was nothing any one could do and call and talk to the store manager when I get to Nevada. This is what I did and was given the runaround for weeks. So, I started to look for another job. A few months later, I became a Patient Care Assistant. During 2011 tax season, I contacted Walgreens, store 07832, inquiring about my W2 and requested that my W2 to my current address. The response I got was “Well, that’s what you get when you leave store 7832”.

I did not receive my 2010 W2. I became so busy with work, 6-8 patients a day and 7 days a week. I completely forgot about my W2. Later in 2011, I called Walgreens payroll office to retrieve my W2 and failed, I did not receive anything. 2012 tax season, I again contacted Walgreens payroll office for my W2 and still didn’t receive anything. Now, I am trying to go to school and I cannot apply for financial aid because I couldn’t file my taxes. How much more is Walgreens going to be a hindrance in my life? I am at my breaking point!

They told her they would call her back when they had some information. They did not call her back. After 3 days, she called them back. They told her they would have to get it at a different warehouse because the one they tried did not have. They should have called her with this info 2 days earlier or at the very least, they should have contacted the other warehouse prior to my mother's phone call. To this day, she has not received any prescription from them and have had no calls from them. By this time her legs are hurting so bad she can hardly walk or even function. The potassium is what keeps that pain in check. I ended up ordering her some liquid potassium from my supplement supplier and had it to her within two days.

Walgreens did not care or even try for her. The pain she is in is excruciating and they don't care. The potassium I got for her will just be enough to catch her up now and it will take about another week before the pain will subside enough for her to function normally. This is absolutely, in my opinion, cruel and unusual punishment. Even dogs are treated better than this. I am very angry because of watching my mother try to deal with this pain. I have been the one to witness the tears and frustration. And to watch her try to walk is heart rending. Something needs to be done with the heartless people dealing with the elderly.

I was told that I have to file a claim to be refunded after they receive the damaged medication and this may take a few weeks, so I should just have them ship the medication again. In this case, once UPS had the medication, a "flight delay occurred due to mechanical reasons," and it took 4 more days to receive the medication. I go to my local Walgreens at Glenwood Ave and Corner of Duraleigh Road. I had a really nasty customer service experience today. I had gone to the pharmacy in person last Wednesday, May 23 to get a refill request for my ** to be sent to my doctor. The pharmacy did give me 6 pills to last until today. I went out of town and got in today and called Walgreens to see if my refill was there as I always do and it was not. I spoke to an Adrian and I asked her if there was a refill for me. She said no. I said, "Well, I requested it last week." She said my doctor did not send it and she would re-fax the prescription.

At this point, I said OK and I called my doctor. They said they are 99% sure that they received no fax electronically last Wednesday or today. I called Walgreens back and talked to Adrian and told her that they had dropped the ball on my medication. Why do I have to go through all this just to get my prescription filled? So I'm telling Adrian how important it is to fill people's prescription because hello... people are sick and you never know how sick they are. I have to take ** everyday so it's not cool for them to not do their job in 6 days' time. That seems to be intentional at this point.

Well Adrian hung up on me. I called back and talked to some fill-in named Stephanie. After asking her what kind of customer service do they guys have, she hung up on me as well. I was being honest and all. She sat there and said it's not her job, she will make sure it gets done. Well what about Adrian hanging up the phone on me? She said she is a fill-in and can't do anything. Bottom line, Walgreens is hiring people that don't care about people. There are so many people out of work and would treat your customers so much better. Why do you hire these losers? Please let me know. You can do so much better. I will be switching pharmacies because obviously, Walgreens has no respect for me as a paying customer nor do they care whether I get my medication that I need or I would die.

I have been a customer of Walgreens from the time myself and my family moved to Parma in 2004. We have received our medication from Walgreens ever since we moved here, that is until the Veterans Administration (Tri-care) cancels the contract, stopping Walgreens from providing medication to Tri-care recipients. Even after the contract was cancelled, we continued to go there for all our regular necessities, and over-the-counter medication. Walgreens is our neighborhood drug store, and we are loyal to it, we take pride in it, there is no other way around it. The folks serving the medications are excellent representatives of Walgreens. They are very professional. On the other hand, the folks on the floor are more into harassing their customers than being professional, and this complaint is a typical example.

Over the past seven to ten visits over the past four months or more, every time I visited Walgreens, I have been harassed by mostly the employee who works in the photograph section of Walgreens. He is a multi-racial (half black and white or Hispanic) young gentleman perhaps in his 20s. There are other two females (white) who share the same harassment information because they do the same harassment gestures they take turns. The gesture comes in the form of “whistling”, this whistling is connected to a slander activity which is currently in a legal action (the gentleman knows the details that he received from his connections; he can give you the details). The first time it happened, I took it as innocent, because everybody whistles. The second time, as soon as he saw me, it automatically activate the whistling process. This time it was as loud as possible, and as close to me as possible so that I get the message.

The third gets worse, it seems that he has a way of knowing when I enter the store, and then he would come towards me and perform the routine. I eventually got the message, and I do what I was trained to do. As a private investigator, I automatically went to work, to get to the bottom. It was the easiest investigation I ever performed, because the culprits were busy enjoying their self-esteem building activities, they have no idea. I knew someone who knows someone who works at Walgreens on the floor, the perfect place. The person got in the action, and was given the “down and dirty” behind the whistling activities. When I arrived there, it was exactly what I have expected. It was the highlight of their day, at some point. I thought a supervisor knew about the activities, but cannot prove that. The next step, I gathered witnesses, to make sure that it happened in front of them. But without them knowing that they are my witnesses, and that’s because we don’t enter together, we don’t came in the same vehicle. It worked like a charm.

I had figured that the perpetrators were going to be smart to quit while they are ahead, but they were obsessed. It was then I knew that a heavy lawsuit would fix the problem, and this is the first step towards that initiative. One situation when I went there and had some witnesses, was when someone was giving out Plain Dealer newspapers. He offered me one, but I didn’t want it because I have already read it earlier. My two witnesses came in after me, I didn’t know if he saw what was happening, but that same day, everything worked on schedule. The straw that broke the elephants back was yesterday, Wednesday, May 9th 2012, at my usual time when I stopped by after work. As usual, the gentleman knew when I came in, and he came out of his hole, and instantly started whistling upon seeing me, and as soon as he passed me, he stopped, as usual. He headed towards the checker/cashier by the ATM, and whispered something to him, but not before me and him had eye to eye contact. He had this guilt all over his face, I had to look away. I just wanted to establish the eye to eye contact for the record, which means that we both know what is going on.

After checking out with the cashier, I told him to tell his supervisors that I will be filing a harassment/slander lawsuit against the said worker and perhaps Walgreens based on employer/employee relationship. I request that Walgreens investigate this complaint and remedy it, I request that Walgreens notify me of the corrective action taken (lawsuits against employee(s) will be on-going). The next time this event happens again, there will be no more complaint; my attorney will file a lawsuit against the said employee and Walgreens.

I walked into my local Walgreens one day to find a product for myself, when I couldn't help but notice that the music playing at the time was none other than a song called "Devil Inside" by "INXS", and was in fact playing so loud that I could barely hear myself think. This has happened on more than one occasion and is very disturbing, to say the least. The fact that you can't even walk into a pharmacy anymore without literally being bombarded by satanic music is really deplorable, let alone completely unnecessary, especially considering the fact that the average customers are usually families with little children or otherwise elderly.

The content of this music, which plays very often, is a very inappropriate choice of music, of which customers literally compelled to listen while they shop even if they do not approve of its offensive content. Retailers should always be seeking ways to make their customers' experience an enjoyable one, and always on the lookout for ways to make their store environment warm and inviting, not loathsome nor reprehensible.

Are you kidding? Did they dip the pills in gold? Same exact manufacturer, same everything. Shame on you, Walgreens. Needless to say, I have already searched it out for a small amount more online and for about $20 more, I can get it at a local pharmacy here in town. Rip off.

At first, I thought perhaps I had developed a physical tolerance. However, upon doing a bit of research, physical tolerance, when possible, is gradual. I have no history of psychological dependence. This medication simply quit working.

Last month, I noticed that some of my capsules were hard. The rest were very soft. I opened one and noted there was hardly any medication in the capsule. I examined the contents of the soft ones and noted there was varying amounts of medication, but none were more than 1/3 full. I tasted the medication. It was not bitter as it should have been according to Rx List's prescribing information. They were bland.

There is no one in my life that would have access to or interest in this medication. This month, my examination was similar. In the years prior, these capsules were uniformly firm to the touch and I am sure the difference help set off my alarms. Upon contacting Walgreens, I was told that this was normal. Even the fact that it didn't taste bitter was normal. I do not believe it for a second. I returned my scripts to my doctor, who wrote new ones and went to another pharmacy. Guess what? All were uniform in feel and fill and the medication was indeed quite bitter. My symptoms have abated. This is minor compared to the experience of some on here. My life wasn't lost.

After I noticed that the juice I bought from Walgreens was expired, I went there and talked to the manager and told her to make sure that they have no more expired juice. 2 weeks later, I got a gallon of milk. My girlfriend was preparing a diner and she used that milk for preparing a sauce. The food’s taste was different. We also discovered that the milk is expired. I purchased the milk from the same store. Now, I feel that I can't deal with Walgreens again - at least with this store. If nothing happened, the store manager was not changed or I don't know, store quality control policy was changed, I will fill the internet with my story. For sure, I am going to the small claims court. When dealing with people's health, we should be very careful.

I went to pick it up on 4/7/2012 and was told it could not be refilled because the date had expired. I was told that it was submitted via phone on 4/5/2012 and was told by the pharmacy tech that the insurance company’s cutoff date was actually 4/4/2012 (which I do not believe). If that is so, Walgreens should have printed “4/4/2012” on the prescription label. Other possibilities are that it was not processed until after submission date. Whatever the situation was, if Walgreen's was not going to get it filled, they should have called or done something before I made the trip.

At the price of gas, it cost more to make the trip than for my part of the prescription. We are very good and loyal customers of Walgreens’ and normally have very positive experience. Also, we have very high regard for the senior pharmacist who was not there on this occasion. Anyway, this is irritating. Either some person or the system screwed up. I would prefer to be told the truth instead of some story. If the insurance company really does date one day prior to date on label, Walgreens should adjust to reflect that policy.

I was amazed at the lack of interest that Walgreens has towards my pocket book. It also amazed me that Walgeens does not follow the generic reduction cost of medications. They didn't even inquire if any other discounts were available to be used, AARP, AAA, Dicks Sporting Goods, nothing.

I was charged $32.38 for a 30 day supply of 2 drugs, ** 5mg and ** 40mg. At your competitor's, Kroger, both these drugs would have cost me $8.00 for 30 days and $10.00 for 90 days. Under the savings plan Walgreens offer at a membership ($20.00 cost) price of $12.00 for a 90 day supply. Where is the savings? At this cost of the membership ($20.00) and drug cost, it is still dollars more than I can get at my pharmacy at Krogers.

That's right; I now say my Pharmacy is Krogers, because they care about their customers. I have dealt with Walgreens now for over a 2 year period and I am constantly having my medicines charged to the wrong accounts, or refills having issues, that Walgreens employees have caused. With this issue, I have contacted customer service and they made a report. No thought to help with the matter beyond that. I "should" receive a phone call within 2 business days. Some help!

I will now be pulling my medications from Walgreens and go back to my old pharmacy which was Krogers, a local grocery chain in this area. I realize I am just one person and my medicine cost of over $1,200 a month may not make a dent, but I hope others will listen to this and also think about the cost of medications. Thanks for the care Walgreens, but I want someone who looks out for my best interest all the way around, not just how I can fill your pockets.

Pharmacists think they are above all: It’s unreal the way that Walgreens pharmacy conducts business. I have been disabled for the last 15 years due to a terrible auto accident. I have a great report with my doctor. I have been on the same meds for the past 10 years and throughout those years, I have never had an issue filling my scripts. That is until the last year or so.

The pharmacy changes pharmacists like I change underwear. Anyhow, long story short, I always pick my scripts up on the 30th day. Today, another episode transpired like it has for months although this is my last straw that I will know on with these guys.

Get this, it’s my 30th day today and received a call telling me I’m a day early because I filled my script the previous month at noon. Therefore, they are telling me the first day of that script should have not started until 24 hours after the time of pickup. Say what? That would have been midway through my 31st day. How can that be when I was only issued a 30 day supply? So in other words, I should go without my meds for 24 hours or I should say go through withdrawals and pain because the pharmacist can’t add. I’m at the end of my line with these guys and girls. Not only that but when talking to them, they seem to want to talk down to you like you are an addict.

I had to waste 2 hours of calling my doctor and my insurance adjuster just to get these morons to understand they were wrong. Do you think I got an apology? Not a chance. Message to Walgreens Pharmacy, you are not above the law or above a doctor’s orders. I’m taking this up with the med board as I asked for the pharmacist’s license number. Walgreens in Kenmore, NY has gone downhill.

Remember patients, you do have rights. Exercise them and don’t be treated like crap. The funniest part is on the drug info stapled to my scripts which states the following in bold lettering, "IF TAKING THIS MEDICATION FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO REFILL EARLY SO YOU WON'T RUN OUT." I guarantee not one of these monkeys even know that phrase is on the paperwork. I've been on it for 10 years! I think I fall into that category! CVS, here I come.

Other times, there was twice where I get an automated call that my prescriptions are filled and to pick them up. But when I get there, they weren't filled so I had to wait over two hours in pain. There were three other times that when I tried to get a prescription. They had to request a tar to my insurance and when I would call every few days, I come to find out they forgot to request the tar or they said they would do it again. But days later, again they didn't request it at all when investigating and then it took close to a month to finally get the meds while I'm the one suffering!

Now to this date on March 5th on Monday, I called to make sure two prescriptions would be filled by the 8th in the morning so I could pick them up. I come to find out that someone wrote in that I had my prior prescription of Valium picked up on the 12th when I picked it up on the 8th and had proof. But she didn't really care what I had to say, even though I tried to show proof. After much talk, she kept insisting that my insurance would pay it on the 9th. I repeatedly explained to make sure to have the prescriptions filled and be ready that day then. I call around 10:00 Friday the 9th and come to find out only one was filled, and not the Valium and would take around 1:30 or so to be filled. I explained to the guy that it should have been ready and why so long? He said they were busy, but I would have to wait even though I called four days prior to make sure it would be ready! I had no choice!

There are other times I call earlier to make sure my prescriptions will be filled and when they give me a time, I come in at least another hour later but they never filled it and don't know anything! I am so upset and even though the store is only three blocks away, I'm so fed up that I decided I just have to find another place. They take hours to fill prescriptions and forget way too much, making me suffer! I am disabled as well with a lot of pain issues and I'm sick of what they put me through. Oh, there was one time they gave me the wrong prescription at the counter and I caught it and had to give it back to get mine! Now that was careless!

In January of this year, I went to the Walgreens location on Main St, Freehold, NJ, to get a refill for **. I used a discount card supplied by the manufacturer, that gives me a $17 reduction in the price. When I returned to pick up my medication, I was told that there was a problem with their system, and I could not get the discount. I was told that I would get enough pills to last a couple of days, and that I could return the following day to complete the purchase. When I returned, I could pay the discounted price, and all will be well. The next day, I returned to pick everything up. Once again, I was told that they are still having problems with their system. I was a little upset over this, but I do know things like this can happen. Before I left, I was told in no uncertain terms, that I would receive a phone call, when everything was processed, and I could come in to get my prescription.

The next day, I received an automated call from this store. It stated that my prescription was ready to be picked up. Once again, I drove to the store, only to be told that their system was still down. I was now beyond being a little upset. I reached the point of being mad. I tried to explain that I was told that I would get a call when everything was ready to be picked up. I even showed them the read out on my cellphone, which clearly showed the date, time, and phone number for the store. The person said that the call I got was from their automated service, and not from a pharmacy associate. At this point, I said that I was told that I would be called when the discount was processed, and the prescription was ready to be picked up. At no time was I told, how the call would be placed. The pharmacy associate I spoke with just shook her head, and said that I would receive a call from a person, not a computer.

Since this was my 3rd trip, one of my fuses blew after hearing this. I said that I wanted to talk with the store manager about this. A few minutes later, the manager showed up, and once again, I explained that I have made 3 trips to get this prescription, and each time, I was told that it was not ready. This person didn't have a clue about anything. He looked as if he was about 20 years old, and was completely stumped by this situation. Of course, he didn't do anything that was of any help. At this point, I just said that I will pay the regular price for my prescription. I also said that this was the last time they would have me as a customer. If this person was a manager, he surely did not portray himself as one. In fact, I asked him where their district office was located, and he said, "I think it's in Springfield". He is a manager, and yet, he doesn't know where the district office was at? My personal career spans over 35 years in the retail industry. I have held every position, from being a carriage boy, to regional operations manager. During my career, I have never known a manager who did not know, where the district office was located.

As I paid for my medication, I was told that they would keep trying to process the discount for me. I distinctly told this so-called manager not to bother. After 3 wasted trips, I was not about to take another trip to this location. Sure enough, the very next day, I received a call from the store, and was told that they had processed my discount, and I could pick up a refund. The manager obviously did not understand and comprehend what I told him. Yesterday, I had to get a prescription electronically submitted from my doctor's office. It was totally against my better judgement, but since I did not have the address of an alternate pharmacy, I told my doctor that it could be sent to this same Walgreens location. Later on, my wife drove to this Walgreens location, to pick up my medications. Once again, there was a problem. They did not have enough of one medication, to completely fill the prescription. My wife was told that it will be ordered, and the remaining quantity could be picked up after 1:00 this afternoon.

My wife returned to the store at approximately 4:30 this afternoon. She was told that they did not finish checking in the delivery, and it would be at least another hour before it was done. She drove back there 3 hours later, and was told that the delivery did not contain the medication I needed. The problem with this is that I have a serious intestinal issue, and my doctor told me that I have to follow his medication instructions exactly, if I want to get better. This is not an easy thing to do, when I don't have the medication that is needed!

Another problem with this location is that they do not tell their pharmacy customers about possible drug interactions. Case in point, my prescription for **. I take several prescription heart medications, that have been provided by this store. At no time did they ever tell me about a possible problem with **, and one of my heart medications. I have been getting refills for my heart medications, and ** at this store for a long time. They have a record of the medications I take, and if there is the possibility of a bad interaction, I should have been notified about it. This is totally inexcusable! If they aren't telling me about this possible interaction (which I found out after getting it refilled at another pharmacy), can you imagine how many others have not been told about a bad interaction? Someone could die because of this!

I don't know if this store has bad management, or pharmacy associates, who do not care about doing what they were hired to do. What I am sure about, is that after I pick up my medication, I am never going to return to Walgreens. I would rather drive 20 miles out of my way, and give my business to another pharmacy. At least, another pharmacy would tell me if there could be problems, if I take a certain medication while taking others.

However, it is my firm belief if feedback is never received, whether negative or positive, the corporate link may never be able to ascertain how the franchise is being managed. I go to the Walgreens I have used for the last four years. I pick up my prescriptions like I do every month. I had a back surgery that did not work, and also recently dislocated my knee. I picked up a bottle of Tramadol, which is supposed to have 90 pills in it. I get him, and go to take one, and notice that it does not look to be 90 pills. There were only 30 pills in the bottle. I called the pharmacy. The lady there says to call the next day for the manager. I called and spoke to the manager. He asked if they had circled the quality on the bottle, which they did not do, like they have always done before. So, he proceeds to tell me people just try to get more pills like that, like I was a junkie. They did not do their job correctly, and accused me of being a junkie. I don't really know what to do now. I was shorter 60 pills I needed for my pain.

I went through drive-up. The tech gave me a bag with three medical info pages stapled to it which made the bag heavy and there was paper inside. I felt a vial so I set it into the passenger seat. When I got home, 35 miles away, I opened the script sack and there was only the ** in it. I was missing my ** 3. I called every Walgreens corporate number I could find and they just apologized. I called the pharmacist and he said it was on tape that the 3 scripts were in the bag--they were not! I filed email complaints and got the same runaround. I did not want to get anyone in trouble so I offered to pay for the two missing scripts--they would not do that. I drove to my doctor and she showed me a copy of a script dated 11/12/11 which had a prescription for ** which would help the pain. I drove 14 miles to doctor and 14 back to pharmacy and was told that the ** was filled twice in December. I thought the rule was one fill per month, what’s up with that? So, I have no pain meds for over a week.

I have not slept in 8 days since the Kennedy Drive Walgreens in Kankakee neglected to put the two prescriptions in the sack or someone working back there took them and re-stapled the bag. My back is killing me and I spent way too many hours on my feet waiting for a script they would not fill. It is 10:13 p.m. right now and I am getting ready to sit on a heating pad all night and watch TV. Maybe by the grace of God I might sleep an hour. I am afraid to drive out of town as I get drowsy from lack of sleep and did run off the I-57 shoulder around 12 times in 30 miles. I got out of the car and walked around in the cold to wake up so I don’t drift to the passing lane and possibly hurt or kill someone. So, in essence, I have to wait at least a week to get my medication. This will give me time to transfer my medications to a pharmacy I can trust.

Last week I ran off the road and jumped back into my lane and the other lane due to a muscle spasm and a police officer was in the other lane and saw it happen and wrote me a ticket for illegal lane usage which I cannot afford because I receive $94 a week in Unemployment Compensation and have an adorable 14-year old son who is the light of my life. Wal-Mart terminated me for not being able to do my job. I understand now why people give up and end their lives.

They finally declined her claim because she didn't get the "right" information, and she found this out today 2 of February 2012 and her claim ended 26 of January 2012 and that is just plain stupid. My wife went to the doctor on 12/27 for a stomach problem. The doctor gave ** samples and said if it worked, he would call in for prescription. It worked and he called in for prescription for **. After the fact, Medco (drug coverage) had returned saying required the pre-authorization is required. When we picked up the prescription, we asked because it wasn't **. The pharmacist said that was what the doctor sent over, and I told him that it was supposed to be **, and he said that wasn't what the doctor sent. I went home and took it. My wife ended up in the ER, as it did not work like the ** had. After the ER, we spoke with the doctor and told him that we needed the **, as the other did not work. He said he did prescribe it before, and that Walgreens told him it was not covered. I said send it again, and I will pay cash. Walgreens attempted to get it changed again. The doctor called us, and we called Walgreens. They told me that the drug required pre-authorization, and that it was not covered by Medco. That is a lie. It is covered with pre-authorization. We contacted the doctor and he sent the pre-authorization, and we haven't had a problem since.

The Doctor did send a ** prescription, and rather than contact us to notify us that pre-authorization was required, and offer us a choice of paying the cash price, contacting the doctor, or asking for a medication that did not require a pre-authorization, they took it upon themselves to make that decision. The result of Walgreens' decision was a different medication that did not work, and my wife was brought in the Emergency Room. They lied about the original prescription even being written for ** by the doctor. The clerk, showed a copy of the second prescription that the doctor sent, and saying that was all he sent.

After the ER visit, they blamed Medco, and told me at first it wasn't covered, and said Medco said it had to be changed. They contacted the doctor again to change it, and he said no. Then told us at this point, that a pre-authorization was required. We contacted the doctor who filled out the pre-authorization form. Walgreens was still blaming Medco, and said that it was their fault that the medicine had been changed, so I filed a complaint with Texas Department of Insurance, and was very quickly contacted by Medco.

After speaking with Medco, it was apparent that the change was initiated at the pharmacy, without contacting the patient, to ask what they wanted to do. As stated previously, we should have been given the choice, pay cash, which is what we would have done, or wait for pre-authorization from the doctor (we would have still contacted him), or ask the doctor for a change in the medication. Medco explained that on the initial prescription of ** that was changed, the pharmacy submitted it 4 times with the same result, a message for Medco to get pre-authorization. The pharmacy initiated that change not Medco. I believe the bill that resulted should be paid by Walgreens as their actions caused the visit to the ER.

I have filed a complaint with the Texas Department of Insurance and I have contacted Walgreens. They had someone at the store level contact me, and ask what they could do to remedy the situation. I told them to pay the ER bill. He stated he understood how I felt, and that he was not authorized to pay that bill. He said that what they did was standard procedure, and that they were within their rights. Their rights? What about the patient's rights, and what about the doctor's rights? The pharmacy is not the doctor, nor the patient, and should not be able to initiate changes, no matter what the reason, without contacting the patient, who can then discuss with the doctor and make that decision.

This store in Cedar Hill on E. Beltline Rd should not have a pharmacy. You will wait in the drive through window for 30 minutes then decide to go inside and wait another 20 minutes. I've complained and no change, so I'm sending the news stations to this store so they can see for themselves what we have to go through.

Why in the world don't they hire more people for that department? I'm forming a boycott across the street to let people know we can get our medicines someplace else. I know a small company getting started that will fill your order and deliver it to you. I will have flyers for this store. I want the news stations to sit and watch and time drive through service. It is a sad place. If you want to keep going through this, go ahead but if some of you who stand in line and complain, call the local news.

I visit Walgreens more than I do the grocery store. When I was in the store, I pulled out the 3 prescriptions out of my purse. I gave the technician 1 prescription. The technician told me after I gave her my prescription, that they will have to call my doctor because people go to the doctors just to get a narcotic.

Customer sensitivity training is needed so that when a physician prescribes a narcotic, the patient (customer) is not being mistreated at the pharmacy (Walgreens). I called the corporate office (customer service). The burden of proof is on the customer. Personally, I went to the doctor for a regular checkup. Why does the store allow the technician to make the customers feel less than. For a minute, I thought she called me a street person. I chose not to fill the other 2 prescriptions today.

So everyone that comes in with a narcotic prescription or pulls out a prescription out of their purses need to go to their doctors just to get a prescription for narcotic. Far from the truth. Walgreens need a better avenue for discriminating against persons to find persons that are on narcotic drugs. Maybe they need my records before they fill the prescriptions. That is just too much.

I had a horrible experience at the Walgreens pharmacy off Commercial in Spring Hill, FL. The pharmacist's name is Mike **.

I had an accident a few years ago that left me with several serious injuries, and I'm seeing a pain management doctor because I live in pain 24/7. I didn't ask to be on the pain medication prescribed, and quite frankly I hate having to take them, but since I have to, I do. I was already like five days past the date on my script because I could not find it anywhere. I must of checked about 20 pharmacies in the Tampa Bay area and nothing, so I'm really in a bad situation already having to endure several days without my pain meds, which are strong, I understand this. I've even asked my doctor to please transition me on something not so strong, but they are cheap, and I lost my insurance at my job, so I have to pay out of pocket.

I called the Walgreens pharmacy where I got last month's bottle, and they said they didn't have it, but that they did have it at the Spring Hill location, so I made the drive all the way over there. By this time I am feeling so bad because of the pain I'm in and now are starting to feel maximum withdrawal symptoms. One thing I hate about this is that I'm always seemingly lumped in the same category as those people that fake their injuries to get pain pills. I despise these people because of the situation it leaves me in and the looks I get from staff that looks at the script and then personality goes from happy to "obvious suspicion".

I've had several surgeries to prove I'm in seriously bad shape, so I made my way all the way out to the Spring Hill Walgreen's Pharmacy, and gave my script to the lady, who did the usual look I get and passed it on to the pharmacist. Well this guy calls me over with his index finger, and says "I don't know this doctor". I said well he does exist, then he starts asking questions that are not relevant to the situation like saying he sees that I have seen a Dr. ** over a year ago, I said that's right and I now see Dr. ** in South Tampa; why did you switch doctors? I thought that was an odd question, but okay, I told him because I was on the ** Patch and ** and it was too strong for me, and he suggested **, but he didn't prescribe that, but gave me the name of the current doctor I see who does prescribe that, and he's part of the same group of doctors, so I told him this. And he said that's not true, then asked why do I go to south Tampa to see a doctor when there's plenty in NPR. I said because I work in south St Pete and it's close to my job. He again said, "I don't think so".

By this time I didn't know what to think because I've never been confronted that way by a pharmacist. He kept smiling while denying every answer I gave him, which infuriated me because I knew what he was doing. He knew he had power over me and was basically flaunting it at me. I even showed him my appointment cards to show my previous appointments. I said with all due respect, don't fill anything tonight, simply call them on Monday (it was Friday) and his office can verify anything you need. He said, "I can do that very easily (smiling) but I don't think I'm going to do that for you". I have to say, his way of talking to me was not only condescending, but it was embarrassing for Walgreens to know this man is representing your store. I love Walgreens, but this man knew what I was going through and seemed to get somewhat of a charge out of getting me physically angry and sick.

I did something that was stupid, but it was a knee jerk reaction. I grabbed the sign (next window please) and lightly tossed it his way, it barely touched him. He started screaming at me, and I simply walked away (after getting his name from a manager). I know I shouldn't have done that, and I am paying the price as he has pressed charges as I have received a letter in the mail from a bail bondsman. I am getting an attorney and plan on fighting this, as well as making sure other people know about this. But this man must be spoken to at the very minimum. I'm sure there is audio that can prove what and how he was taunting me. I'm also friends with a consumer reporter for News Channel 8 On Your Side and plan to voice this complaint once I take care of this Misdemeanor Battery charge. I would ask that someone please hear my complaint and understand my state when this happened. Please contact me as soon as possible. Thank you very much.

On Wednesday September 7th 2011, I was taking my kid's with me to get some prescriptions for my 10 year old daughter. On the way down, I noticed that there was a lot of traffic on the way back toward my house, bumper to bumper for more than 4 miles. I wasn't looking forward to the ride home. When we got to the pharmacy, we just pulled up to the drive through and I gave the lady behind the counter the prescriptions I had. There were 2 ** rescue inhalers and some stuff with steroids in it for my kids asthma.

She had a really bad turn and was having trouble breathing, she helped me trim our dogs hair and she had a bad reaction. After I turned in the scrips, I took my kids to Dunkin' Donuts, my kids picked some of the gooiest looking donuts I had ever seen. I had told the pharmacist that my child couldn't breathe very well and to please try to hurry so she could get some relief. She told me it would be an hour at the least. In Dunkin' Donuts, my daughter says to me, daddy I can't breathe and tears came into her eyes. At this point my job is clear, get my kid fixed up at any cost, anything I have to do will be done and no one will stand in my way. So, I am standing brain burning thinking of what I could do to get her to some medication as quickly as possible.

We left the Dunkin' Donuts immediately and started toward home. Then it struck me, I just put the prescriptions in for the rescue inhalers. I was happy at this point, help is very close and I don't have to deal with the bumper to bumper traffic on the way home. Seemed perfect, I had a vision of the pharmacist coming out from behind the counter and saying "well hello sweetie pie how are you doing? Are you having a little trouble breathing? Well, now you don't worry yourself, I will get your inhaler right now for you and you'll be right as rain in a couple of seconds. Wow, was I stupid naive and in comparison to what happened a complete idiot thinking that compassion and caring was alive and well in the employees of the Moss Park Walgreen's.

I got to the back of the Walgreen's where the pharmacy was and saw one of the techs that took the prescriptions. She was taking care of someone at the drive through window. After a couple of minutes of being ignored, I managed to talk to her. My daughter just told me that she can't breathe and I was wondering if I could get one of the scrips filled right away so my daughter could breathe again. She said, no, I couldn't believe my ears, she didn't look at my kid or say anything to her or ask her how she is doing.

My kid started crying hard and was begging the woman. I asked her whether I had to get the manager, she said no, I asked her are you going to fill it, No, I will fill that one first when I gets there in the cue. I went for the manager running through the store. I found him, told him what was going on and he said he was going to fix it. He asked me which medication she needed, I told him the inhaler he told me that one wasn't covered under the insurance, I told him I didn't care just get the medicine now, please. My kid is extremely upset at this point and is crying and panicking because she still cant breathe.

Finally, the pharmacist says it's ready, she was about to hand it to the manager when the stupid woman that started all this says no, give it to me, I have to check it. what a complete idiot. I lost it I said just give me the ** medication now, ** it my kid can't breathe, what is wrong with you inhumane **, I have never seen any one treat an adult like this, never mind a 10 year old little girl. I got the stuff in my hand and the pharmacist tells the manager that the inhaler is for prolonged use and will not work as a rescue inhaler.

I couldn't believe it, I started screaming why would you give one that doesn't ** work you **. The manager said, we gave you the one that was covered by the insurance. My daughter started sobbing and begging them to give her the right stuff and the manager wasn't going to get anything unless he saw that I had the money for the medication, I pulled my wallet out and threw what I thought was $140.00 but only threw $120.00 on the desk and they still didn't have the medication in my hand, so I started going crazy. If you ** don't get that up here now, I will have you all in jail, this is criminal what the ** is wrong with you people. The only work I could see these people doing is torture in Iraq or killing people.

Finally, I saw the rescue inhaler in the managers hand and he wasn't handing it to me, then he informed me that I was short it was $127 dollars. So he wasn't going to give it to me because he thought I didn't have the money he would have let my kid die right there and would've defended his actions because I was 7 dollars short. I had told him I had a $1000.00 dollars in my wallet, whatever it takes and he wasn't giving me the medicine. I snatched it out of his hand put the top on the inhaler and handed it to my kid and she did a couple of puffs and was fine within minutes.

At one point, when I was yelling at him to get the correct medication, I said, if your not going to give it to her, call 911 and he actually picked up the phone and said do you want me to call them, which would have taken to long and he knew it. My daughter told me later when he said, I will call an ambulance and them not give her the medication that she actually thought that she was going to die. So, in the end, we were leaving the store and the manger is yelling that he is going to have me thrown in jail if I ever come back there causing my daughter to become really scared and start panicking again, thinking that her daddy is going to jail. The only reason I was yelling at them was to get them to do the right thing, which they were not going to do.

People die all the time from asthma attacks and I thought that there was a law, that if you go into a pharmacy and you are out of a medication that could cause death, that the pharmacy has an obligation to give you the medication regardless of anything. It's a law that forces inhumane people to act humane. Some people need to be woken up and hopefully this will get some kind of response. This is a way to bring rude people in pharmacy's out in the light. Later that night, I called and asked for the manager, because I wanted all of their names so I could report them.

He then started defending his actions, like I was wrong. I told him, all I wanted was for all of them too call my daughter and apologize for putting her through the worst ordeal she had ever experienced in her life and he wouldn't do it, then he yelled something and then hung up on me. I thought we were supposed to look up to our pharmacists and they were supposed to help people. Seems like Walgreen's must be extremely hard up to hire irresponsible ** like this. Seems like most of them are from other country's where it is possible to get away with treating people like ** and abusing children without any kind of punishment. The way I look at it, it's attempted murder of a child. I called the orange county sheriff's department and they refused to arrest anyone saying that it is a civil matter. To me, it looked like 3 Casey Anthony's trying to make sure that my daughter suffered as much as possible in the 30 minutes it took these ** to come up with the rescue inhaler. If i didn't snatch it out of his hand, she would have died, that's the worst thing ever!
