On 9/14/20, I set up online order for medication for cat. Have already done this in the past with drugstore.com and each time I have a problem but price is cheap. Website indicates they will contact dr to verify and get authorization on night of 9/20/10. I call to find out what problem is because no action on order other than confirmation that they received order on 9/14. They show no contact from doctor- nor do they show that they tried to contact the doctor at all. Agent tells me she will turn problem over to person or team that handles these problems. At 6am/21 September, they send me email stating that prescription has no refills left. Huh? This is a new script!

I checked with vet and they had called "special number" I had been given for problem team and were told that they are not to call. They have to fax in info-and a fax number is given to them. I called 800-378-4786 to check and I get told that they do not have a fax number. I wait a while, check account and still nothing. I check website and there is a fax number for prescriptions. Called vet again and this is a different number than the one they had been given. I gave them the one listed online- wait a while and call drugstore.com again. nothing done on their end. I asked for someone higher up and get told that "a supervisor" will call me back but there is no time span listed for if/when this "supervisor" will call.

Needless to say, it will be weeks before getting the med even though the evening, agent last night assured me that this would be taken care of and the pills overnight to me at no extra expense. The bottom line is that, 1. they are incredibly stupid, 2. they are incredibly nasty and 3. they are both stupid and nasty take your pick.

On the 15th or the 17th of late August, I bought in Walgreens located in Mill Valley, California, 2 bottles or vitamin C, containing 100 pills of 500mg each of them, at the cost of $2.99 each.

I flew back to Habana on the 17th. Days later, I found the the bottles had being opened and both lacked a number of pills, besides the expiration date was due for the two of them. The items of both were 504875 1191704628 BB617 129897 WAL641353.

This issue is very irregular coming from a store like Walgreens that has a high prestige. I do not intend to make any claim, just to let you know this affair in order that you will take measures to prevent other events of this sort.

I went to the Walgreen's store listed above to pick up some pictures and while I was there was going to get my flu shot. I went to the Pharmacy area there were three people ahead of me who told me they had been there for over an hour. They were told when they arrived it would be about 30 minutes to get their flu shot. One hour and 15 minutes later they still had not had their shots (can't believe they waited that long) and according to the Pharmacist they he was waiting for someone to come in to help.

Whatever, if you are going to offer flu shots, the stores need to have people available to give them and not expect they should have to wait over an hour 3 people for someone to come in. Like the Pharmacist couldn't stop in between filling prescriptions to give a shot. Terrible, terrible customer service in my opinion. It's not like there were lots of people waiting, there were 3. I left, so who knows how long they had to wait. Someone did arrive while I was still there and he said he would be right back, at least 5 minutes later, we never saw him. Everyone's time is precious, not just the Pharmacy. How rude.

The Pharmacist dispensed a prescription belonging to a Mary to my sister, Marie on July 7th 2010. Mary is 16 years younger than Marie. This caused severe itching over 95% of her body and swelling of the ankles and wrists. The itching resulted in severe red blotches and scales all over her body and she was also rushed to the emergency room with severe stomach ache on July 23rd. The Pharmacist and Walgreen's representative blamed my sister for their error and never offered her an apology.

I went to Duane Reade to fill my prescription but the pharmacist gave me someone else's medicine to me. I took one pill right after I got home, however, when I take a closer look at the bottle, I realized that it was someone else's name on the bottle. I called the pharmacy immediately and lucky enough that person is having the same medicine as I but have double amount of dosage than my doctor described. This kind of mistake is unacceptable. If I weren't lucky, I would have taken a totally different pill.

I just bought cigarette at the Walgreens at this store (Aug/29/2010 at 3:57). Lena (cashier) was inattentive to me, because when I showed my ID and after she dropped on the desk, she didn't give it to me by hand. After I complained about it, she said, "I gave it to you by hand." But she dropped it on the desk. Lena told a lie. This was the most awful attitude. Actually, I just wanted her apology to me. But on the contrary, Lena laughed unpleasantly. I have never seen it and there was no apology to me. She has an attitude problem and she will be training for consumer. I don't want to go to Walgreens anymore!

Today, August 21, 2010, I went to my nearest Walgreens located at Brooklyn, NY to return a lipstick in which I was overcharged and buy a few household items. Since it was raining, I was wearing a sweater to cover my hair. Throughout my shopping at the store, I was followed by employees and the security guard, making me very uncomfortable. I finally decided I was not going to give my money to this store and decided to return the lipstick. While at the register, the manager asked the clerk where is the ‘code 5’ and the clerk replied, "It’s ok, it's her here" meaning that they didn't need to follow me anymore since I was already leaving I guess.

Since I was returning an item, the manager had to conduct the transaction, I was so mad that I asked him "So, just because someone is wearing a sweater means they're going to steal something?” and he just smirked at me! Such disrespect. This trip to the store humiliated me, I actually left crying and shaking! I'm a college graduate and in no way do I act or dress like a thief! The manager didn't even apologize for humiliating me. Once home, I called the store because the manager's name was not on the receipt and whoever answered gave me a hard time, asking me why I wanted the manager's name. Afterwards, he finally relented and told me the manager on shift was Mr. ****. What was so hard about giving me the manager's name?

If would it take the medicine the way they said, I will have an overdose. I call them back and the pharmacist agree on their mistake but did not apologized what would happened if will take the medicine and died for their mistake. I'm wondering now how often this happened in this pharmacy, they are putting the lives of their customers in danger.

I'm concern about other people not realizing and getting sick. I need to able to trust a 100% on my pharmacist.

I went into Duane Reade early this morning to see if there were any sales or specials on my way to work. I stopped by the cosmetics counter where there were skin care tubes and bottles and some were labeled "free samples". I put on a dot of cream. I walked to the back of the store and up behind me came the manager, who had a confrontational demeanor about him. I asked what the problem was and he said, "A lot of things have gone missing in the store" and that "You come in a lot and never buy anything" I told him that was very offensive since I actually do and have purchased many things from Duane Reade.

He insisted it was his job to do what he was doing. I told him if there was a problem with missing items, he should check the security tape, rather than harass customers. He also added that he thought I'd taken some of the "Free Samples". The entire communication was highly inappropriate and I felt attacked or accused for simply walking in the store and looking at the merchandise.

My husband, a licensed orthopedic surgeon since 1972, attempted to fill a Rx for Lunesta, for himself. He was told by the pharmacist that they would not fill any prescriptions written by him for himself or for his family. Is this a Walgreens policy? It's not any law we are aware of. We have been dealing with Walgreens over 10 years and have prescriptions registered in both New Orleans, our primary residence and in Shreveport our secondary residence.

Getting refills for our medications have been a problem 2 other times and appear to be linked to the disposition of the pharmacist on duty rather than any policy of Walgreens. Please respond as we do need to make decisions concerning our health needs.

I have just wasted a load of time getting together an order to qualify for free shipping, finding the qualification for free shipping confirmed along the way to check-out, and then finding a hefty shipping charge when I finally reached check-out. It is only when clicking "free shipping" before checkout [or after backtracking to the page after seeing the shipping charge] that I get a "sorry" message telling me that I do not in fact qualify for free shipping because I am not a new customer. Well, I can assure you I will no longer be a customer, period! Yes, I know there is an alert on one of your pages that this offer is available only to first-time customers but that alert is in hard-to-read super-tiny grey print.

[Note: a screen shot of the page with that note was included in the email to drugstore.com, but could not be pasted here for some reason. ]

Some customers may be forgiving and/or feel they do not want all the time. They have spent at the site going down the drain and will complete the sale anyway but I am not one of them.

I have 3 prescriptions that I have filled every month. One of them is **. I have optic seizures, and take this medicine for them. After months of getting shorted one pill, now two, sometimes more, I can't get the pharmacists to fix this problem, because it has been circled? I was told that means it was double counted. I counted them 5 times. I was told, "I'm not calling you a liar." I just got them refilled. Why would I ask for two more if they were not left out at this point, and told when it is circled, that's it? I will call the headquarters tomorrow. I have never had good service from this supposedly 24 hour Walgreens. I have one refill left. I will make them count them in front of me. Do not use this pharmacy!

When I do not get the correct dosage, I have a seizure. This landed me in the hospital at one point. So, I started counting them. Sure enough, they were shorting me on my meds. I also take ** for muscle spasms from a spinal injury. I am an adult, not a pill popper. I cannot make it through the day without these medications. So, I checked them too, also were short but they fixed it. They never last a full month. So, they should check their employees, not a 50 year old woman.

I told them I was not taking the drugs, just dropping off the prescription. They told me I needed ID and that it was noted as law. That was on a small memo taped up on the side of the booth where you pick up/drop off prescriptions, not visibly noted while you are actually in the line. This store is the worst with the worst "customer service".

My sister waited once for an hour for a prescription and when she finally asked about it, she was told that they were out of stock. My cousin said that they were supposed to put 60 pills in his bottle and when his wife got them home, there were only 20. Hello! It is time to switch your prescriptions to another pharmacy folks! These idiots need a reality check. When it hits them in the pocket, the service may actually improve. Other pharmacies will actually give you a gift certificate to switch to them. On many occasions, I have had witnessed and have had personal encounters with the store manager being very rude to myself and others. On one occasion, I was shopping and accidentally dropped a glass bottle of vinegar and he told me to pick it up. There was glass everywhere and he sent me to the front to get paper towels from the cashier, she asked me for what and I told her that he wanted me to clean it. She was surprised that he would make such a demand from a customer and told me no, I'm the customer and I shouldn't pick up broken glass. I refused and he had a smirk as if he almost gotten away with getting me to clean up his store.

Today, I had only a one hundred dollar bill and the cashier let out a big sigh and called the same manager to come up, so he can look at it because according to her, she is not allowed to accept big bills, he takes forever to come up and she is talking out loud making me feel like I did something wrong, in front of other customers. I told her that she was being very rude to me.

He comes up, I hand him the bill and he takes his sweet time touching it holding it up to the light, his actions were in the lines of sarcasm, so I knew what to expect already. He seemed to enjoy the customers watching him. Other customers started to complain telling the same cashier that this was ridiculous and the manager took too long coming up to take care of something so simple, as I was leaving other customers were telling me to have a good day and smiling as if to make me feel better for what a mess they made of something as simple as checking a one hundred dollar bill.

I have been a customer for years and use their pharmacy for all my family needs and the advice of their pharmacist. I am tired of how they treat me and others as if we don't matter. I was embarrassed and very upset as how I was treated by these people in front of my child and all the customers behind me.

More than once the store sign indicating a coupon or money off your purchase the product placed is the wrong size. It always had the same product, but the ounces are different or in tiny, tiny wording there is a stipulation. Very misleading. I shop to save money. This happens every time I'm in the store. I'm not ** and I can read clearly. But the print is so small it's hard to read and there are so many "stipulations" to buy one get one free. You have to buy the same name brand, even though let's say for instance all mascara is buy one get one half off, in tiny tiny writing it says "same brand". It's so tiny it's almost impossible to read. Then they place signs that say you get money off your purchase, but they put different product size behind the sign so the cents off does not apply. Very misleading. I'm not saving money, I think I'm getting cheated on.

On May 28, 2010, I wanted to purchase **, which is a controlled substance drug requiring valid government Id. Ms. Anna **, pharmacist at the Duane Reade, said that I needed an ID with an address on it such as a driving license or state ID to be able to purchase the drug as it is a controlled substance. I produced an alien resident card (green card) but she refused to accept it as it did not have an address on it! When I inquired where the address requirement was stipulated in the law, she showed me the Duane Reade pharmacy register which had a column requiring the purchaser’s address.

The Combat Methamphetamine Epidemic Act of 2005, part of the Patriot Act requires:

    “(I) the prospective purchaser

(aa) presents an identification card that provides a photograph and is issued by a State or the Federal Government, or a document that, with respect to identification, is considered acceptable for purposes of sections 274 a.2 (b)(1)(v)(A) and 74 a.2 (b)(1)(v)(B) of title 8, Code of Federal Regulations (as in effect on or after the date of the enactment of the Combat Methamphetamine Epidemic Act of 2005).”

Therefore there is no requirement for an id with an address on it! I would like to complain about Ms. Anna’s lack of law understanding and her treatment of customers. I had to wait for her to treat me rudely while my 3 months old baby was screaming impatiently in the stroller.

We purchased $3,852.69 worth of fertility drugs from Schraft's, and before my wife started using the drugs, she became pregnant naturally. We asked if we could return the unused and unopened drugs, for at least a partial refund. The pharmacy said they cannot accept return of drugs. It is against the law. I asked if they could agree to a partial discount then, since we will never use the drugs, and it is a total loss to us. I asked if they would consider discounting just the amount of the profit margin, so that they would not lose any money on the deal, but I would lose less.

I said, even some store credit I could use for other things would be appreciated. We paid for these drugs with after tax money, no insurance covered this. They said, "too bad, we will not help you out at all". They said they did nothing wrong, and it was just our bad luck, and they had no reason to help us out. They said they are entitled to make their profit, since they sold us the drugs as requested. I told them I understand they are not required to do anything to help us, but I thought they might consider doing something to help, since it is a major burden, and they could choose not to make a profit on this. I did not ask them to give a full refund, only the profit on the drugs. They told me to stop calling them. They would not help. I will never shop at a Walgreens again. What a waste of the drugs, and what a terrible attitude they have. That's $3852.69 in wasted drugs, which remains unopened and unused.

Also when I paid my last visit to the store and asked for the manager, she lied to me, treated me with little or no respect, and when I told her I would complain, she told me to do "whatever the ** I wanted to". It turns out that "Maria Christina", the manager, was present at the time that I was being treated this way and did nothing. The fact that she did nothing did not surprise me since on various locations I observed her giving others the same treatment that I was given on that date.

In conclusion my boss's physician ended up having to call Duane Reade where they referred him to yet another store where we finally received courteous service. Any help you can give us would be appreciated. My boss suffered many days without her meds and I was treated like less than a human being. I feel that the fact that I am a South American "Ecuadorian" played a toll on the service I received from Duane Reade employees.

I was told that it would be ready on Monday at 11:00. I sent my son to school Monday without his morning dose or any doses on Sunday.

I was told by the pharmacy "person" that I was at fault because I should have ordered it ahead of time and that since my son has no Medicaid, there is nothing they can do for me. I told them to put it through his regular insurance and they did magically find a way to get the drug at another Walgreens chain but I could not get it until 6:30 PM on Monday evening and would have to drive to an out of the way pharmacy. I informed them that they are putting my son’s life in jeopardy since he missed so many doses.

I was also told that the drug is on backorder because no one uses this drug anymore and that he should be on the generic like everyone else. When I asked "Joe" what he would do if it was his son's life in jeopardy, he replied that if it was his son, he would have made sure he had his drugs that I was remiss in not doing that. I did order the refill in a very reasonable time. My son suffered from a series of status seizures this morning (Tuesday).

On April 12, 2010 I took a prescription for 10 75mg ** Patches and ** 750mg. I picked the 10 75mg ** Patches up on April 12, 2010. The ** 750mg was not filled because they said that it was not covered by medical. I said it must be covered because this is medication that I take. I was asked what was the last pharmacy that filled that prescription and I told them. I left the Walgreens pharmacy and gave a contact number. I called and was told the Treatment Authorization Request (TAR) at the other pharmacy expired and they would do another TAR. So I said, "Please do the TAR." When I ended the conversation, it was my understanding that the TAR would be done.

On April 15, 2010, I called to see if the TAR was done and I was told the prescription was ready. I was surprised it was ready so fast and went and picked up the medication. While picking up the medication, I was given a consult for the medication and at no point was I told this was a different medication than what was on the prescription. I could not read and assumed that the medication they gave me was the ** 750mg. I sat the bag of medication on the passenger seat and drove off.

On April 18, 2010, I asked my daughter to get my bag of medication and told her what I thought it was. My daughter returned and said that it was ** 500mg and not ** 750mg. I immediately called the Walgreens pharmacy in Banning, CA and spoke to the pharmacist Joann. I explained what I had and I wanted the medication that was on my prescription.

I was told by Joann that medical does not cover ** 750mg at all and I said it does because this is what I take. Then she said they called the doctors office and spoke with someone besides the doctor and they approved the change. They said they called the doctors for a change because the wait for the TAR would be a couple of days. But obviously, I was okay with the wait because I didn't tell the person not to do the TAR I couldn't wait.

I asked why wasn't I told when I picked up the medication and why was I told that I would have a Treatment Authorization Request done of my behalf for this medication. I was told as long as the doctor's representative approved the change I didn't have any say so. In speaking with the pharmacist, I was told I had to call back and speak with the pharmacy manager. When I called back ad spoke with Brian, he was very vague and unconcerned. He gave me the feeling that what I need as a patient and what they are willing to do for me a patient are to different things. With Walgreens pharmacy benefiting, they're getting paid for medication that will not do the patient any good.

The following really made me uncomfortable with this pharmacy: They disregarded me as the customer and person receiving the service; I wasn't told the TAR would not be done; I wasn't told the medication was different. The pharmacy manager said once a doctor's representative approves the medication change, it remains that way; The contact with me, the customer, was not provided. The understanding that if the doctor is prescribing a certain strength of pain medication, it's for a reason.

I will just paste what I wrote to the corporate office at Walgreens:

I submitted a prescription today, 4/6/10, along with my husband's prescription. I was told that it would be ready in 25 minutes. I returned in 30 minutes to pick them up. (My medication is ** 7.5/500 180 count.) When we came back, the pharmacist was acting "questionable"about our meds, asking us to come back in 10 additional minutes because they "couldn't find the doctor's name" when it was clearly printed on both of our prescriptions.

I came back around 20-25 minutes and picked up our prescriptions from the drive-through. My medication was taken back to the count station, still in the bag; and something was changed in their computer. I mean, it's all on their security cameras! I didn't think anything of it, really, and I just thought it was because of the prescription discount card I'd filed. So I paid cash for them and went home.

The bottles were never opened until I arrived home, except for the fact that I did take my bottle out of the bag and remarked that it didn't "look right." When I arrived home, I counted them. The first time I counted, I came up with a total of 150. My husband called the pharmacist immediately while I was counting again. The final count was 140 pills.

By the time I came up with a final count, he was off the phone with the pharmacy and told me that the pharmacist said that I could bring them in and check against their count. So that is what I did. When they checked their count, however, their attitude changed. They were very defensive and argumentative. They said their count was correct and asked me loudly in front of a waiting area full of other customers "Was I sure I didn't take any? I've never felt so humiliated. And I'm not sure if I feel comfortable with strangers knowing my medications (what I'm getting and how much, etc.). I feel as if my HIPPA has been violated .

I've been a chronic pain patient for years. (I have a severe hip deformity and I live in pain daily!) That is not right to treat someone like an "addict." I can even have my doctor state that I am not a "drug-seeking individual." I have no reason to "seek more drugs." Basically, I only use Walgreens as a convenience due to higher prices.

I feel as if Ive been discriminated against. I am considering filing a police report, contacting a lawyer, and speaking with the DEA about having this pharmacy and pharmacists investigated. Not so much that this is a medication issue, it is an issue with the way I was treated by all in the pharmacy this evening. This is the second time my narcotic medication has come up short, only last time I caught it immediately.

I do not have the inhaler I need because of ignorance and laziness on the part of the pharmacist. I am physically suffering because my symptoms are worse, and I continue to have difficulty breathing and am in bed. I also told him that the label did not state partial and it showed as if he had dispensed all 120 tablets; he then stated that they were aware that this was a partial.

Today, January 3rd, my husband went to pick up the 12 tablets set aside for me and the pharmacist on duty "Keyla" was not only the most unprofessional individual I have ever met. She knew nothing of the 12 tablets, but refused to dispense them to him and stated that all 120 were already given to me and refused to call the pharmacist that was on duty on 12/31/2009 to attempt to clear up the mistake. She had no concern of the fact that I could potentially have a seizure today and stated that she would not be liable and did not care! When my husband returned without my medication at 8:00 a.m., I attempted to contact Keyla to correct the problem and she simply hung up on me. I have filed a complaint with Walgreens and have been able to obtain my medication at least for today but the issue is yet to be resolved. As a CEO of a hospital I am appalled that Walgreens employs this kind of individual that does not take patient safety seriously. I will not stop until this is resolved but I would like everyone to be aware of this person’s serious lack of consideration and professionalism. This caused severe anxiety over not receiving my medication as required which could result in a seizure!

One of these products was **, which included a $3 Register Rewards on the purchase of 2 items (no coupon was required). I used a $1 manufacturer’s coupon for the purchase and did not receive the promised $3 Register Rewards slip. I questioned the cashier about this and they couldn't explain why and I would need to see the manager who was unable at the time and I didn't want to wait. I double checked the ad. Since this had happened on more than one occasion, I sent a letter to the PA Bureau of Consumer Protection. They received a response from Walgreens, which stated that since I used a $1 manufacturer’s coupon, it voided my $3 Register Rewards.

The person from the PA Bureau of Consumer Protection could not explain this and indicated they would ask for further explanation from Walgreens. They received nothing and told me that I would have to pursue this matter on my own in court - not a chance. Other retailers such as Rite Ad advertise in their ads that you can get further savings by using coupons in addition to their rebate program. Walgreens does advertise their policy in their ad or in their store and when asked by the PA Bureau of Consumer Protection failed to produce their policy.

This is the second time one of my Rx has been shorted. I got home and counted the pills, and both times they were one pill short. The last time I complained when I went back for the refill, they simply put on the refill order to recount. Now I'm thinking that must be a warning to the pharmacist to beware, this is a customer who counts the pills. Make sure you give them the correct number of pills. But this time I went with a new Rx and I figured getting shorted wouldn't happen again. But sure enough when I got home, I only had 19 pills when I was supposed to get 20. If they do this as a common practice on prescriptions they figure won't be noticed 10 to 20 times a day, 7 days a week... who knows?

On December 17, 2009, I called my local Walgreens and asked if my daughter's prescriptions were ready. At that time, I was notified that some were ready but on her prescription for **, they were calling the doctor to get the doctor to change her prescription to a generic as they were losing money on the reimbursement from my insurance company, Group Health. I explained that my daughter, age 15, who has epilepsy, could only take name brand anti-seizure medications as the generics vary too much in their strength and she ends up in the hospital with generic medications. The lady then began to talk to the pharmacist who stated that they were waiting a call back from the doctor and to check back in an hour or two.

I immediately called my daughter's doctor at Seattle Children's Hospital and left a message for the doctor on the nurse's line, explaining that the pharmacist was trying to get a hold of them regarding changing my daughter's medications and to please review the doctor's notes that her prescriptions are to be filled as name brand only with no generics or substitutes.

I also called my insurance company at Group Health and was told that all of her anti-seizure medications, **, were all covered and on the formulary list; however, ** needed to have a prior authorization from the physician which is already on file. Copay is $30 for each prescription of a 30-day supply. The lady put me on hold and consulted with the pharmacy help desk who stated that Walgreens had tried to run ** through the insurance since I had spoken to them.

I then returned after 1 hour in person to my local Walgreens store and spoke with the pharmacist, Jennifer. Jennifer explained that my daughter's file had been flagged by Loss Prevention and that they are losing too much money on filling her prescription of **. I explained that I called her doctor and spoken with my insurance company who stated that the medications, specifically **, was on their formulary list and is covered. She told me that it was great, but the insurance company was not reimbursing them at the rates they requested and that she would not fill her prescription as name brand and offered a generic.

I explained to her that my daughter could not have generic medication. I asked what I needed to do to get my prescription filled and she said to find another pharmacy and good luck on anyone filling the prescription as they will be losing money on filling it. I asked her again if she was telling me that she was refusing to fill my daughter's prescription for ** and she said yes. I asked if she was telling me to find another pharmacy and she said yes. I was with my husband and we then picked up her ** prescriptions which were ready and a Folic acid for her and left. I left Walgreens only to discover that they only filled one of the ** prescriptions partially for 10 tablets but charged me the full copay.

I then called Group Health back to explain what had happneed and was told to find another pharmacy and that any complaints would have to go through Walgreens. They looked up my daughter's account and found for the last two months that Walgreens incorrectly billed the insurance and indeed was not getting reimbursed the total amount of the medication. They fixed the error while I was on the phone and gave me the number for the pharmacy help desk for Walgreens to call for any questions. I was told they would not be reimbursed for the billing error and that it was an override issue and that Walgreens should have called them two months ago when it occurred. I was then given a list of new pharmacies that accepts Group Health.

I also received a voice message from Children's Hospital nurse, Susan, who stated that Walgreens pharmacist, Jennifer, called and requested that my daughter's prescriptions be changed to generic as they were losing money on filling her prescriptions. Susan advised that this was not possible per Doctor's orders. Jennifer stated that they were losing over $300 per month on filling her **. Susan advised finding another pharmacy that would make sure that my daughter has her necessary medications to keep her healthy and safe.

I then called Walgreens back and let them know that they had shorted my prescription. I spoke with Jennifer who stated the prescription was correct and that the doctor only called in a refill for 10 tablets. I advised that last month I had dropped off all of her prescriptions from Seattle Children's Hospital and they all should have full prescriptions for at least six months. She told me the prescription was called in in September. I advised that last month, I had the prescription filled and that on her bottle, it reads 5 available refills for 60 tablets. I read off the Rx number to Jennifer who then stated to bring in the 10 tablets and she will exchange them for a full prescription of the 60. She never once apologized for filling the wrong prescription number or any of this whole ordeal. She then told me that she was trying to call me, but my number was busy to say that the doctor was sending a prior authorization to their office for the ** and asked if I wanted it filled. I told her no, that I have already found another pharmacy per her instructions.

I arrived at Walgreens with my husband to exchange the 10 ** tablets for the 60 ** tablets. I spoke with Jennifer to whom I offered the pharmacy help desk number to and explained that I had spoken to Group Health and that ** was covered and that it was an override issue which was now corrected and their office would be reimbursed. I went to hand her the number and she refused stating she already had the number. I handed her the 10 tablets which then she called the store manager to the pharmacy to help with the exchange. I told her that ** was a covered medication and that all she had to do was call the insurance company. She stated that it was not. I told her that the only medication that needed prior approval was ** as it was not on the name brand formulary list and that Group Health advised that prior approval was on file. She then began to argue about the medication coverage. I told her that it was not important at this point. Again, she did not offer any type of apology at any time.

My husband and I left after the exchange. The store manager walked out behind us from the pharmacy. I said that this was ridiculous, to be told that a pharmacy is refusing to fill a covered medication and that the pharmacist told me to find another pharmacy and at no point did I get any apology for the way I was treated (very rudely in front of other customers and on the phone).

The most horrible part of this is that my daughter was out of this medication that is necessary to prevent her from having seizures. I had called in the prescription refill several days in advance and they never called to say they were having problems filling her prescription. This is also the same medication that Walgreens had filled for nearly the last year since without any problems.

Fortunately, I was able to find another pharmacy who had better customer service. The bad thing is that Walgreens did not send over my daughter's prescriptions to the new pharmacy and that I had to call her doctor who is located over 3 hours from my location to have their office fax new prescriptions. My daughter could have very easily began to have seizures if her medication was not available for her to take.

I was able to pick up a partial prescription from her new pharmacy at the end of the day to get her through the weekend until the new pharmacy was able to obtain her needed medication from the warehouse. This could have all been avoided if Walgreens would have called the pharmacy help desk at Group Health and if they would have actually been paying attention to the notes on the prescriptions that were brought in stating, "Fill as prescribed, no generics."

And without any evidence of the matter, the pharmacist has contacted my doctor and other pharmacies in the area. First of all, my insurance only allows me so many days to fill my prescription before the fill date. My insurance has only allowed this medicine to be covered through prior authorization. I feel that Walgreens has discriminated against me for no particular reason, and not only have they accused me, they have gone out of their way to slander my reputation causing me incredible personal anguish!

It was almost impossible to find a doctor in the first place to continue my treatment after my first doctor lost his license from patient relations. May I add that the pharmacists at Walgreens have also put extreme regulations on when I can acquire my psychiatric medication without consulting my psychiatrist! The pharmacists force me to wait until the day after I run out of my psychiatric medication in order to pick them up. And when I do, I realized that they have run the medicine through to my insurance days before they let me have them.

When my insurance finds this out, once again, I have to explain what days I have filled my medicine "to acquire prior authorization" when I have not even authorized the pharmacist to fill the medicine in the first place! I am at my wit's end with all of this - that is, I am extremely stressed out and have nobody to turn to. I really need somebody to represent me. If you know anyone that can help, can you also ask them if they can represent me with my long-term disability?

Time and time again, Walgreen's and others have been to charging me different prices for the same thing; on some products, though not all, but enough where a pattern has developed. They also do not have specials or sale item prices in their system on a regular basis. The customer really needs to shop with both eyes open at Walgreen's. I think it is deliberate. For example, just tonight, there is a Walgreen's brand box of 81mg ** for $1.33. Next to that is a roll of their ** generic box and next to it is also a roll of Walgreen **, again slightly different packaging but 100% the same product and dosage; it was selling for $1.99. When I brought this to the pharmacy area’s attention, the cashier said that she did not do it and gave me an “I just work here” comment. Now, who stocks these selves and did not notice this blunder?

Then I went to the Jock Itch area and looked at the product ** 1/2 oz tube for $8.99. Right across the roll was the same product, brand, and size etc., but the box says Athlete Foot on it and that was selling for $7.49. That’s $1.50 more for different wording on the box. Then I went to buy two half gallons of Prairie Farms ice cream because it said two for $6.00; the cashier charged me $3.89 each. When I corrected her, she had to very slowly walk all the way down across the store to try to find it. When she figure out what she was looking for, she then came back slowly and corrected the sales receipt. Meanwhile, (yes, you’re right) my ice cream is melting.

Just adjust the price and take care of your pricing problem after I leave. By the way, the cashier said she just works here and they do not control the price. I said that it's their sale sign that says two for $6; I did not make it up. This is just one trip to your friendly neighborhood Walgreen's Store. If you shop there, compare and check their pricing and it will happen to you to. They are ripping us off, and I think it is not a mistake. Confuse and conquer. I shopped and compared the price. I knew my price before I went to the cashier. I paid for what I purchased. Buyers, beware!

My daughter and I proceeded to the card section and 3-4 employees were standing around. We didn't notice at the time that they were actually looking at us and what we were doing. We went to the register to pay for 3 birthday cards and noticed there were only one register opened and 10 people in line.

My daughter mentioned to one of the employees if they were going to open another checker. He responded by correcting her; he said "cashier." My daughter said, "Yes cashier." He said nothing more. We went to the cash register and paid for our cards. We noticed 2 employees standing outside smoking. We got into our car and started to pull out of the parking spot, when I looked in my rear view mirror and noticed this employee pointing to our car out to a police car. We were stopped in the lot and the officer asked us what we were doing there and asked us to show our receipt for our purchase. I've never been so humiliated in my entire life. It seemed to me that the reason we may have been stopped was because of our race.

This is not the first time we've experienced prejudices at this store. It was just never to this extreme. I have been embarrassed in front of my neighbors and my children's friends and treated like a criminal. I really believe this store practices racial profiling and their employees are trained to treat their customers this way. I believe there is a proper protocol these employees should have taken rather than dealing their valued customers this way and forming a lynch mob based on their own prejudices. I am a 50-year old professional Hispanic woman and feel I was profiled based on the color of my skin.

The asst manager advised that the photos must me presented on digital memory card, USB memory stick or a CD for the coupon to be honored. The advice of the asst manager was not the terms of the coupon offer. Those terms are materially important and would have had to have been listed in the coupon offer. Those terms were not listed as a requirement and it was not reasonable to assume they were relevant. 100 photos were presented as the offer required and the offer was denied.

The asst manager continued to needle me, the client, while I was writing information of her denial. Suggesting that she not taunt me, she continued. I completed writing the manager's objection and left the store unnecessarily very upset. At one point I even said I understood she was merely following instructions and did not fault her. She continued unnecessarily to needle me!

I visit this Walgreens pharmacy at 1788 Old Hudson road, Saint Paul, Minnesota (T: 651.731.9633) frequently. Usually, the same pharmacy techs are on duty at this location! These pharmacy techs are usually discriminative, discourteous, moody and impatient with many customers/consumers including myself! Tonight, I visited this location’s drive-thru window to pick up my two prescription drugs as there was a previous insurance problem. A young intern by the name of Jason assisted me at the drive-thru window. Jason was a bit disrespectful and domineering with me! Addressing me and communicating with me as I perceived, as if I was incompetent or incoherent, this belittled me!

When I got home, I called this store’s pharmacy management and an Oriental/Chinese woman answered the phone identifying herself as Vanny. Vanny seemed nice and respectful; however, seeming a bit sarcastic as well! I briefly and respectfully addressed my small concern about the intern pharmacist Jason. Vanny seemed inattentive and unsympathetic to my situation; however, she was courteous and respectful with me for the most part! As I then respectfully asked Vanny who the in charge pharmacy supervisor was, Vanny impatiently told me it was AJ. I then asked if AJ had a last name. Vanny told me to hold as she put me on brief hold, later returning with AJ’s full and proper name, Allen **. Apparently, Mr. ** was unavailable for comment. So Vanny asked me if I would not mind being transferred to the main Walgreens store facility’s assistant manager on duty, Mark **. My 10-week-old's pediatrician called in a prescription for ** Drops today at the Walgreens by my home. I went to pick it up this afternoon, came home, and gave him his first dose according to the label the pharmacist put on the box which reads "Give Daniel 1 mL by mouth four times daily as needed." So I gave him 1 mL. Afterwards, I started questioning how a 10-week-old could take the highest dosage on the provided dropper. So I called the pediatrician's office back to confirm how they had specified for it to be administered. The nurse said it should have been 1/4 mL instead. So he had just received a full day's worth in one dose and had me call Poison Control.

I spoke to the people at Poison Control, and they said he will basically just sleep for the next 24 hours and to just keep an eye on him! I then called the pharmacy to see how the error could be made and find out who made the error, so that I would have specific names for my complaint. When I spoke to the pharmacist on duty, he said his name was Forest and that he could not give me the name of the pharmacist who took the prescription but that it was a traveling pharmacist.

I told him that I would be filing a complaint, so he quickly informed me that if I took it any further, they would claim either it was read too fast to them or that it was read to them incorrectly. I quickly told him that my child does not even weigh 9 lbs, so for him to have that as his first response told me that they do not verify the information if they are uncertain of the directions. This should not be rushed through, as an error like this could kill someone. I'm just glad that I questioned it after the first dose. Forest then proceeded to tell me that they had corrected the prescription in their system for any refills needed, but I informed him that my family will never have Walgreens fill another prescription.

Some idiot thought they could handle giving out flu shots at the same time. I was told to come back an hour later for my Rx. I came back 4 hours later and was told that my Rx could not be filled because they did not have the doctor's DEA#, so to come back the following day. I came back the next day to the same madness at the pharmacy, but finally got my Rx. When I went to take the medication, which was supposed to be taken 6 pills per week, I looked at the bottle and they put on it "6 pills daily." This is a steroid medicine and could have killed me. After I got the new card, I went to the store with receipt, but they did not apologize especially Soni, the manager. Instead of apologizing, he questioned me many things as if I was lying to trick him or want to get money from him. I was very angry and he just said, "I could not find the transaction, so I can't do anything about it." He asked me to come back to the store everyday, it didn't help much.

I was tired and stressed out, I said I want to complain. They promised to refund to me, but I only got one charge back. They asked me to come back the next day. I went there; Soni asked a guy to give me a refund, which now I came back home and checked and it was not there. I viewed my online banking for two days, it was not there. I guess I just have to go back to the store again. I am so tired, so tired. How can they turn something look like it's my fault? During the whole process, none of them apologized to me. There were no caution signs and I then noticed that the cleaning people were mopping the floor and buffing them. I ran to my child the Duane Reade worker grabbed her off the floor and said to me, “Oh, we are closing.” I said, “Why are there no caution signs?” He said they are closing again and no one should be in the store. He then started to tell me it’s my fault and I went to the front and requested a manager. I wanted an accident report. The manager first of all had no idea what or how to do that and gave me some report; it’s not signed with no info, but it clearly stated that due to the fact that there were no caution signs, the child slipped and fell and bumped her head. No one got me an ice pack and no one did anything, but he looked at me like I was crazy.

Her doctor would not see my child because it had no insurance info from Duane Reade. So now my child still has a bump on her head and I went back to Duane Read to get that report signed. Not only did they change the report, but they took the original away and tried telling me she was not supposed to give me that report. I said, “No, I want my original back and signed.” So, she signed it and I requested the insurance info and did not get anything, so I am now complaining. Please let me know what to do or if I can get their info to take my child to the doctor.

I brought in a prescription for my 16-year-old son, who has never been on any kind of medication in his life. The prescription was written for ** 50mg (1 tab qd) with no refills. It was given to him for depression, which he has just been diagnosed with. After picking up the prescription, my son and I talked about how the doctor told him an easy way to remember to take it is to do so after dinner but before bedtime. When I got home and started looking over the dosing instructions, I was quite alarmed when I read "1 tablet 4 times a day." I re-read all the info again, and then I asked my son if the doctor mentioned taking it 4 times a day. He responded "no way!"

I immediately called another pharmacy and asked if ** was ever prescribed in that frequency and was told "absolutely not." I knew from my own personal experience with ** that it would never be prescribed 4 times daily, and I took it back to Walgreens. Yes, the pharmacist and the technician both apologized profusely and explained that the doctor who wrote the Rx tends to write "qd" and "qid" very much alike and that's how the mistake happened.

I understand that mistakes happen, but when we are talking about a 16-year-old child taking this for the very first time, and if I hadn't known any better, I can't even begin to think what could have happened. I believe that when you have a responsibility, such as one that a pharmacist has, there is no room for mistakes such as this. The pharmacist ran a new label for the bottle and stuck it on over the mistake, and I was off on my merry way. But I feel that this should be seriously reviewed, because, once again, my son could be dead right now if he had taken 200milligrams of ** in one day. I have received medications for an on-going health issue. Starting in January 2009, I moved to a different location. A Walgreens was closer to me than the one I use to go to. Every time I went to pick up my prescription, I was told they didn’t have it in stock. In June, they called the location I use to go to for my medication. When I got there, they only had half my prescription and told me they would have the rest in 5 days. They charged me the full prescription. I didn’t hear from them for 7 days, so I called them and they told me that they had no medication for me but they would call me back within the next business day. It is 2 weeks later and I haven’t heard a thing. I went online and filed a complaint because I need my meds. A Tracy, who is the manager of the pharmacy, called me and stated that she was not sure of what happened but she will check into it. I explained to her I didn’t care what happened; I just need my meds. She began telling me that when they are out of meds, they type it in the database. I then stopped her and told her, again, I don’t care about all of that, I just really need my meds. I am on medication that you cannot skip and it’s affecting my everyday tasks - even interfering with my work.

She really didn’t help me at all and instead acted like I was a "bother" to her. But that is not my complaint. My complaint is how a reputable pharmacy chain can drop the ball. I mean, it’s not medication that I can do without - it’s a matter of life or death having it or not. She then told me that she is off the next day but will return and see about my medication. Are you serious? Is that a way to handle this already pro-longed situation? I am not a trouble maker or complainer at all, but this time it’s about my health and the lack of a pharmacy to fulfill my medication or contact me to keep me informed as to what is going on. If I hadn’t made many phone calls, I still would just be waiting.

It’s been over 2 weeks without my medications and I want to speak to an attorney at this point. I would appreciate if I can speak with someone who can help me in this matter. I requested Tracy to give me a number of their headquarters. I was given a name of a customer relations supervisor of Raj **. I called the number and was told he is out until Monday. I then requested to speak with someone else and I was disconnected after being on hold for 9 minutes. I then called back and was placed with someone in the customer service department, but the connection was so bad we couldn’t hear each other. That is when I said enough is enough. Now, I have to wait until tomorrow or Monday to find out anything about my medications? I can’t be without it much longer. The affects of not having the meds is getting worse. Please let me know any legal help that can be offered at this point. If not, I will contact my attorney to pursue legal results. Thank you.

I had a sheet of paper telling me when to take the meds and remembered the one to take at bedtime. I had never taken it before so I ripped open the bag, not realizing at the time (they also only had given me three of the four). I took the one that said take at bedtime. It has my name on it, my doctor's name. It even has five refills. He did know at the time it was **, a glucose lowering medicine.

From what I understand, it lowers blood pressure and glucose. My prescription was for **. From what I also understand from poison control and the 27 Hour Hospital stay, it could have potentially and could really cause me some serious damage or even death. I'm glad I didn't end up like many other people a lot less fortunate than I. I pity the mothers who have lost their children to these kinds of errors. I have not yet filed a lawsuit on Walgreens and was unaware that this was even a problem. I now have such a paranoia of pharmacists and so does my 13-year old son who saw me fall in the floor during the overdose incident. When will some safeguards be put in place to protect the public from certain death?

The night of the incident, I kept saying to myself, "What if this happened to a child?" The sad reality is it already has and he paid with his life. I typed in Walgreens errors and up popped Leesburg, VA, not far from where I sit right now - Brendan **, five years old. I will pray for his mother for the rest of my life. Why did that child have to pay with his life? Stop making mistakes. You didn't kill me but you could have. Could haves don't matter, but lives do.

I became a new manager for this store Oct. 8, 2008. I was given no warning that I had to manage the pharmacy operations as well, nor training. No other store manager in the 5 other stores I have worked, for 6 years, has to oversee and manage the pharmacy. Walgreens pays its pharmacy managers very well for that responsibility. One of the assistant managers had let his tech license lapsed on Oct 1st, 2008. The manager at the time did not deal with it either.

Due to this being my first store, holidays, etc., and no guidance offered for pharmacy obligations, I did not become aware of this until Dec 7, 2008. At that time, I decided, that since all 3 pharmacists had known for 2 months, had allowed him to continue to help, and had not bothered to inform me, that they approved his working in the pharmacy performing tech duties. I knew for one week. The pharmacy manager is directly responsible for verifying the licensure of all pharmacy personnel who are required to be licensed.

The Oregon Board of Pharmacy did an audit in Dec, 2008. Long story short, the pharmacy manager was fined $500, 7 months later, I lost my job with no warning or opportunity for another position. The assistant manager was fired as well, but all 3 pharmacists continue to work. According to the board policy on pharmacist duties and responsibilities, they broke the law too. Walgreens holds its pharmacists to a lower standard of ethics and responsibility. Now, I have confirmed that Walgreens is more concerned with the bottom line dollars than the original ethics that Mr. Walgreens lived by to establish the company.

I lost my income, benefits and now, most likely my home. My income constituted 2/3 of my family income and all the benefits. Walgreens has a catch 22 when they want to fire you. If you 'resign' you get to keep your vested profit sharing. If they terminate you, you lose it. It allows them to make us suffer even more in fighting for unemployment.

It's 9:23AM, Saturday (6/20) and the pharmacy still is not open. They simply haven't showed up (according to a female store employee). We and others waiting there got tired of it and left the store. This is an unacceptable way to run a business. We are not too happy about what this says in reference to how professional (or how inattentive to detail) the current pharmacy staff is. We will likely transfer our scripts, which amount to $600/month or more, to a nearby competitor. This Walgreens #07681, which is conveniently located at the entrance of our subdivision, has always had trouble securing and keeping a professional staff. When you do manage to put one in place, they don't stay there very long.

I called back at 9:34 and was spoken to yet another female employee who insisted that they were open at 9:00. What a cover-up attempt. I called her down on it and hung up. The only way this excessive tardiness could be acceptable is if there were extenuating circumstances. By the way, our displeasure with this pharmacy is not an isolated incident. There have been numerous times when a phoned-in script, both by automated line and person-to-person transactions, were not filled on time (yes, plenty of time had transpired). They don't even acknowledge their error, much less apologize. There were several times when one employee (not one of the current group) was downright rude and I left the drive-thru and came inside to do business face to face. If I'd known about this complaint form, you would've been informed sooner.

She said that I had already got, so I couldn't get them regularly now. She made me look like a liar on their records. I have a bad heart and too much pain to consider trying to sort out the pain in my chest from the other ones. Now I can't get the pain pills I need, to know when to go to the hospital.

She couldn't let me have them because she couldn't keep good records of them. The state regulates it but her records are very wrong. I am 63, and I had a massive heart attack in which I flatlined, and had emergency surgery and they brought me back. She told me she made up one of my prescriptions and she always makes up my refills. It was the wrong doctor's names on my pill bottles on my last prescription of ** 30 mg CP, which is generic for ** w/ codeine capsules. On the last stated prescription, my bottle says, "No refills." On the note she sent to me tonight, she created two more refills of 90.

She wrote a note to me that she would call my new doctor to explain this, like she did to my last doctor, so they would believe her over me, so I have to do without my medications because thus far she has been believed. I have the bottle of everything I got this year and I have the note she sent to me (so your next refill is not due until 6/23/9, she says). She talks to me like I am dirt under her feet.

I can prove this by the person who picks up my medicine. I told her that I would tell on her. That was when she said she would call my doctor and explain.

It had been over an hour since the doc faxed in the script and I pulled up with a visibly ill child in the back to the drive-thru and was told it would be a half hour. Again, this was not the first time this had happened. Then they told me to pull out of the drive-thru so they could help the people behind me. I heard him tell her he was the one who filled it (funny how he remembered my prescription), so she asked him twice if he was sure he counted all the pills and he said yes, he was positive.

Their response was that the machine counts it once and then it is counted again by hand and that is why the quantity is circled on the bottle. I said, "Well, either somebody didn't check it or they are stealing **." She proceeded to say that the only way to know for sure was to check their inventory and if they were over, only then would I receive the pills they "forgot" to give me. I said, "Fine, I will wait." She said, "It will be a long time before we can do that." I said, "I don't care; I will wait."

Five minutes later, she told me that they just received a shipment and would not be able to count their inventory today and that I needed to call and speak to the manager when he was working the next day at 2 pm. I ended up calling the next day and explaining my situation to the manager. He then asked my name, and put me on hold for no longer than a minute. He then told me, "No problem, just come back down with the bottle and I will take care of it for you." The manager was terrific, but due to the attitude I received from the staff, I will never fill another prescription there again. If you do, please make sure you count your pills at the counter before you leave the store.

My 2 ½ year old son was prescribed ** by his neurologist for his seizures. I was told to give him the medicine every 12hrs. I filled the prescription at my local Walgreens and upon picking the medication up the next day, I began giving the medication to my son. I didn’t remember the dosage amount I was supposed to give my son so I looked at the directions on the label on the box I’d picked up from Walgreens and gave him 5ml, as it stated on the label, every 12hours, as I remembered the doctor saying.

Today, 19 days after initially filling the prescription, I realized that the medicine is about finished but according to the bottle, there were no refills allowed. I called my son’s doctor this morning requesting her to call in a refill for him. This afternoon, I received a call back from the doctor. She was puzzled as to why I needed a refill so soon. She asked me how much of the medicine I had been giving my son and I replied 5 ml every 12 hours. Shocked, she told me that I was only supposed to be giving my son 1ml every 12hrs and that he could’ve suffered severe damages by taking 5xs the prescribed amount each day. She said that the medicine was supposed to last me about 4 months and here it is, 19 days after filling the medicine that it’s about done.

The doctor contacted Walgreens and asked what directions they printed on the label and they said they printed what was on the written prescription. However, that was not true because I have the box. My husband and I went down to the Walgreens and spoke with the pharmacist there. We showed her the box and explained our reason for being there. The pharmacist responded that the medicine indeed did not say to give my son 5ml. She explained that the part that said 5ml was a part of the medicine’s name. The pharmacist stated that the directions were actually incomplete because all it stated was to shake well and give and then the bottom of the label said ** 300MG/5ML.

Our response to the pharmacist was firstly, being a consumer and not a pharmacist, how were we to know that the directions were incomplete and that the dosage stated on the label was a part of the medicine's name and not the dosage amount to give our son and secondly, why would the pharmacy give a customer medication with incomplete directions as she stated they had? Anyone looking at the medicine not in the pharmacy line of business would have more than likely took the dosage amount stated on the label as the dosage amount to give the child. Yes, I took the 300MG for the strength but I took the 5ML as the dosage amount. The pharmacist stated that she understood where I was coming from but that there was nothing she could do. I was told to come back tomorrow after 4pm to speak with the pharmacy manager.

While taking this medicine, my son has been sleeping about 75% of the day. He on occasion will walk as if he's dizzy and has told me that his head hurt. My son has/is not showing any signs or effects of being overdosed that I know of, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any or any long-term effects that we just don’t see yet. There may not be any effects that can be seen w/out bloodwork, etc.

First of all, I am a retired teacher from the Newark NJ Board of Education, and have been a client of that pharmacy for years. Months ago, I went to buy at Walgreens on 600 Newark Ave in Elizabeth, NJ. There was a sign with the price of **, and there were ** boxes below it. I took the box with less pills and went to pay. The price was double of what the sign said and there were no other boxes with less pills under the sign. I asked the cashier where I could find the boxes for that price. She called Mara, the manager, and she started laughing full blast in front of my face. Then she gave me the box with less pills for the price she was advertising. After that incident, every time I go to the store and encounter her, she starts laughing again like making fun of me. That has happened about two or three times.

On April 24th, about 1:00 PM, she was at the register. I was checking the circulars to see if there was anything I needed on sale, and buy other stuff needed when I heard her yell. “She comes only for the coupons." Then, she bent down behind the counter and went to get another cashier and put her on the counter where she was and then she moved to the other next to it. At that time I did not confront her about her attitude, because it was hard for me to believe that a manager of a store can act in such a childish and mediocre way. Then I realized that she has been insulting, abusing and discriminating me because I confronted her about the price on **. I hope somebody helps me with this situation.

Walgreens Pharmacy has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. The Pharmacy technicians and the pharmacist have no idea what they are doing. This is very scary since they deal with medicines. I went to Walgreens to get two prescriptions filled. They told me to come back in 20 minutes to pick it up. So I came back in an hour to pick up the prescriptions through the drive-thru and of course they only had one prescription which was not the pain pills.

After waiting 25 min., I was told to come back the next day after 1 o'clock. So today, I called to see if they had my prescription ready and was told that the two prescriptions were ready to pick up. So, of course, when I get there, it is another story. I got to the drive-thru and was told I owe $60 ($50 for one and $10 for another). I asked if they used my insurance information and everything and the tech told me yes. She stated that I would not have to pay the $50 tomorrow; I asked her what she was talking about and she stated that they only had half the pain medication. I asked her why I was not informed of this on the phone and why they did not order the whole dose. She stated that she was not the one I talked to, so she had no idea why no one told me. She also got smart several times, sometimes just walking away and leaving me to wait.

I asked her to show me the paper that stated I was only getting half my order and she said she could not give it to me until I paid the $60. I told her I was not paying anything until I saw something in writing because they were not fully organized in that department so I needed proof. She finally sent me a printout after she had me wait another 15 min. and the printout showed 16/60 pills. I asked her why she said I was paying for half when they only had 16 pills. She said that the 16 would last me half the days which was not a true fact.

I asked to speak to the pharmacist because I kept getting wrong information from the techs. Well, after waiting another 20 min. and pushing the help button several times, a pharmacist came to the window stating that they do not carry the medicine and neither does their warehouse. I asked him what I was paying the $50 for then and he stated he was not sure; all they had was my $10 medication. I would have to go somewhere for the $50 pain medication. I told him I was very upset that I had been waiting for 35 min. for a medication they did not have and that I should have been told this yesterday.

The pharmacist said there was nothing he could do and when I asked for corporate's information, he just asked for what, then gave me his personal business card. I then asked for my prescription paper back so I could take it somewhere else and, of course, I was left to wait again. Another technician returned telling me I owed $10 for the prescription they did have. I informed her I was not doing any more business with Walgreens and I needed my prescription back. After waiting again, she said they only had one and sent that one. Since that was the main one I just gave up and left.

There was no response but the manager was passing by, ignoring the people in the line. When I approached her, she kept walking by, giving me the back. So I then asked if she could check me out since I was in hurry which she agreed to do but the body expression and her tone was arrogant. Then she said she would be right back. The lady did not come back for seven to ten minutes. By then, I checked out by going to the front desk. It was very rude and disrespectful to have someone wait for longer than I ever waited any store in my life. Not only did she not show up to check me out, but she didn't even ask anyone to help me while I was waiting for her.

I'm writing regarding apparently defective bags of 45g Double Butter Microwable Popcorn manufactured by Deerfield Farms and sold by Walgreens Co. Despite correctly following the instructions of bag placement on the microwave dish, from the moment the microwave oven began cooking, it started to produce a strange electrical sound and to spurt out sparks of fire. I turned it off immediately. Noticing only a brown stain that appeared on a metal plate on the wall of the microwave oven, I tried to wipe it off with a moist towel but it remained. I placed another new, microwave bag and once again, the microwave began to emit the strange sound and to radiate sparks from the same metal plate.

This time, the sparks burned a small hole through the metal plate. Since the microwave oven is of very good quality and was working in perfect condition prior to the incident, I decided to test out heating other foods. Despite the punctured plate, the microwave oven worked fine. However, when I tested with another popcorn bag from the same batch, the same situation occurred. I believe these bags of popcorn are defective and probably have a component that makes them inadequate for microwave use. Given the damage that has been sustained by the microwave oven, I would like to have the bags analyzed. Please advise. The bags have the following UPC: 0-4902222671-5. The UPC label is itemized as 396671. The bags have an expiration date of 08/22/09.

When asked why they gave me 1 mg again and did not call previously, I was told there was a national shortage and nobody had .5 mg. That proved untrue. I think they lied and manipulated me to keep my business and to garner a larger fee from my insurance for the larger dosage.

My husband is disabled and on 10 medications. I have used Walgreen's for about 17 yrs. I switched locations 2 yrs ago due to staff problems of my neighborhood Walgreen's, and started going to one closer to my work. In 10/08 they tried to fill one of the meds before it was time, I called and they stated they did not know what happened and took it off the list to be pick-up. Well this week on 3/9/09 I received the automated call from them that my script was not going to ready at the designated time. I knew something was wrong because I had just got all 10 meds 12 days ago. So I called and spoke to Matt, he put me on hold and come back to say that he did not know how all the meds got on a list to be filled--he stated they could not tell me if they had been phoned in or ordered on the internet. I told him I was the only one who ordered meds it was in the website. He said sorry, and they would get it fixed (but doctors had already been notified with request) I asked why I was not notified to question the early request on these 10 meds, he could not give me an answer. I called main office and was told by Sheila that something like this should not have happened and she would have the pharmacy district mgr call me. The next day I get a call on my cell with name withheld I did not answer only to find out it was the district mgr that left me a message stating her name & she would call back, no contact #. On 3/11/09 I get yet another call from Walgreen's auto service stating my script is not going to be ready for pick-up. I call and told the same thing by Vickie, that she does not know how this happened. I asked to talk to a mgr and was told that one would not be available until tomorrow. I cld district office back only to be told no one was there to talk to and that they had recently gone thru alot of management changes. I am going in today (3/12/09) to talk to mgr and change my account to another pharmacy. I feel that Walgreen's has become to automated for my business!!!!!!!!!

On the evening of Friday, 06March2009, I dropped off 3 (three) prescriptions to be filled and retrieved, later that evening. I have private prescription coverage, and state-run supplemental coverage. I had encountered problems with this Walgreens pharmacy previously, but because of the location convenience (across the street from my home), I thought it was a small price to pay to keep it simple. This time, however, seemed like an episode of Guiding Light or General Hospital. As of today, the following WEDNESDAY, I have finally received a call confirming ALL the same information I had received from both insurance carriers, which I had related to the Walgreens staff, YESTERDAY, around 11 am (ample time to contact BOTH carriers prior to end of business). The call from Walgreens was taken at 8:55 am, this morning. Out of the 3 prescriptions, only 1 was filled Friday night, **.

This medication was in a pre-fabricated condition to begin with (safety-sealed bottle with pre-determined pill quantity). Not a big surprise when they didn't encounter any hold ups. The second prescription, controlled, required more of an effort to get right apparently. I understand that the insurance companies work together, but the STORY the Pharmacist, Melanie, gave me, was something she had to have been making up as she went along. It took this lady 5 (FIVE) days to fabricate an excuse of why she was TOO LAZY to do her job. 5 days for her to make 1 phone call; the only effort required to get the appropriate quantity approved for coverage. I'm beside myself as to how this woman EVER made it through HIGH SCHOOL, let alone COLLEGE!!

Well, finally, my insurance wasn't covering the third drug, **, but this woman thought that since I insisted on the fact that my insurance WILL cover the medication she could assign 5 different pharmacy techs to submit the prescription over 20 times each; and I would be satisfied. WRONG!! SHE NEVER CALLED THE INSURANCE COMPANY for the reason it wouldn't cover it now. Simply put: ** now has a generic. The brand Melanie orders, however, is NOT covered by the policy. Now, this woman is a Texas pharmacist. She should know the policy for state-sponsored insurance programs. If the generic brand is not covered, fill will the NAME BRAND. ** has just recently (within the last year) become available in the generic form. Well, getting to the point, I have a $0 co-pay on 3 prescriptions per month. But this is, apparently, the hassle I have to go through to get them that way.

This morning, when MELANIE called to let me know my prescriptions were ready, never once apologizing, trying to cover her own a** by making her lie even bigger, I called her on her lie. The last thing that (for lack of an appropriate word- and by all means, this is incorrect too) WOMAN said to me before I hung up on her, was this, and I quote: YOU'RE GETTING THEM ALL FOR FREE ANYWAYS, SO WHY DO YOU CARE?

I am writing a grievance to the fact that my card was charged a fee of $100 more than I had intended to pay. I got prescriptions filled at CVS/ Pharmacy at the beginning of this year -- before I ordered through Walgreens, and they never charged me a $100 premium/ deductible fee. The policy of CVS is that they never charge a premium fee/ deductible. Had I gotten my medication from them, I would have only paid $35, but with Walgreens I paid $100 more. I really regret that I got my prescription filled through Walgreens, and because of that I was wondering if you would kindly get them to reimburse my card my $100. Otherwise, they will lose me as a customer, and my respect.
Also, to clear up any confusions, I checked with the Pharmacy Technicians that work at CVS and they looked up the actual prices of the drugs that I got filled this year (without my insurance covering it,) and they were a lot higher than the amount that I paid; therefore, I only paid my co-pay of $5 or $10 every single time that I picked up my prescription regardless of whether it was at the beginning year or whether I had to meet my premium! And, as a customer that has two jobs, where one of them only pays $7 an hour, I really need Walgreens to match what CVS does for me in this one instance and reimburse me my $100. Because without, that I do not think that I will be able to afford to pay for that medication after I run out. And, without Seroquel in my system, I have verbal and physical outbursts and may lose my job or get into a car accident again. Because I was sick and could not afford my medicine for a really long time, I was unemployed and got even sicker for 5 years (between 2004-2009.) This drug really controls my outbursts and helps me keep my job. If they do not refund me my $100, I will not be able to pay for it for the next 3 months. Only, God knows what that will lead to in my life.

At appox 9;45pm Feb16, 2009 I DROPPED off my prescription (new) for valium which I have been receiving for over 10 years. When I picked-up the prescription it was diazepam. The prescription is written as medically necessary for valium. I called this to the attention of the attendant at the drive-in window. The attendant wasn't happy in having to take care of the problem, but asked me to return in 15 minutes. After returning to the pharmacy at 2:11pm they gave me the prescription for valium. I arrived home at approximately 3:00pm and when I went to put my pills up I noticed that I was 30 pills short. I had this same problem 2 months ago and reported this incident as well. At 3:40pm I called the pharmacy and reported the 30 pill shortage to the Pharmacist on duty. I drove to the store and talked with Mr Ives who is the store manager. Mr. Ives advised that he had to investigate the issue by looking at the video and talking with the pharmasist on duty. Mr. Ives advised that their inventory matched and he couldn't tell at this time what had occurred. He stated that prescriptions go through a 3 step process. 1) Prescription is scanned 2) processed by your company 3) filled. The pharmacy failed at the first process as they did not notice that the doctor had written medically necessary, which leaves room for other errors. Another error; upon my request I asked for ID to be shown when picking up prescription and no one checked my ID. I know this problem isn't mine. I understand that this is a narcotic but I have had this prescription for many years with no issues and suddenly in 4 months time I've had 3 occurrences. I've not made a report when there has been one pill missing out of the bottle, but with over one half of the prescription missing I am unable to take my prescription as needed and will not have enough medication to last me for the month. I have no issue with contacting the police to investigate this matter or Channel 6 news as my prescription has been stolen. I don't know how many people that this has happened to, but I think a thorough investigation is needed as soon as possible as there is a theft of narcotics occurring in your pharmacy and I am the victim. I have been told that I should count my pills before accepting the prescription. If every patient counted their medications at check out there would be a massive back up at the Pharmacy. I picked up the prescription at 2:11pm and called the Pharmacy at 3:40pm and arrived at the Pharmacy at 4:00pm. I responded immediately upon discovering that my prescripton was short. As it is suggested that I should count my prescription before leaving the Pharmacy, I would also suggest that I should receive my complete prescrption at pick up. Mr Ives was very nice and promised that he would try to solve this problem as he has only been a manager of this store for 5 weeks.

When I opened up the meds, I had two meds - one pill and one liquid in form (supposedly the same med); however, they both had the same name on them. One child had two meds, the other had none. Two bags, labels had each child's name on it correctly. I opened the meds to give to the children, but the liquid med had dosage information for the pill form and had wrong child's name on it.

I had to call 24-hour pharmacy to find out what to do about it because the pharmacy I got the meds from was closed. The pharmacy charged $170.00 more for liquid form of the same med than pill form. The order was messed up so bad I couldn't even give medication to the child for fear that it was not correct medication. Had to return to the pharmacy the next day to get the correct meds. They didn't have explanation for error or for pricing discrepancy.

I am a nurse for a doctor's office, and I maintain a majority of the phone calls and prescription refills called into pharmacy from our office. I have never been excited to call Walgreens in Crossville because of the several different attitudes that answer the phones. If your employees are not happy about their jobs, employ some of these people that would be glad to work. Or if your company is so busy and makes so much money not to improve customer satisfaction, then get your already rude employed employees some more help so at Crossville store so they also can set and answer phone just to push a button and hang up on the numerous call that come in there.

Since I live in Cookeville and have always used Walgreens for my family, recently changing to Kroger because Crossville Walgreens being so incompetent with my PT's request of meds and refills make me wonder about my own meds that need to be correctly filled. Is it the corporation or just Walgreens in Crossville? I really do not care, but I know my family is safer now. Crossville giving my PT the 2 refills on a narcotic in a 1 month time frame giving an old man 180 ** in 1 month when 60 tabs every 30 days is prescribed, or how about filling the wrong med like giving ** to a PT with a ** Rx. How does this happen?

I deal with small community pharmacies and corporate pharmacies such as Walgreen on a daily basis. Your Crossville pharmacy is absolutely incompetent. Today, I spent about 15 minutes on hold for a simple call in of a med and transferred to pharmacy twice in this time frame. But just to give your company the benefit of the doubt and my ear a rest, I hung up and started a timer. The second phone call I was transferred only once and exactly 30 minutes later, ** in the pharmacy answers the phone. I explained to him I just need to call in a med and please do not transfer me. I have been on hold for 30 minutes. ** replies no really I gave him my request and in between his sarcastic replies to my questions, which his replies had nothing to do with my questions. So I am assuming his feelings were hurt because I was not an innocent customer who had to take his intimidation techniques or whatever he was using.

Everyday our office strives for improvement techniques to provide more efficient care; your company obviously does not. I will never encourage anyone to go to your store, and I hope your company is not the next one to go out of business. But honestly, I could not say I would not be surprised or happy. I know that a separate office in Crossville filed a complaint about hold times of up to 20-30 minutes at a time, thus far slightly improving after notifying 1-800-Walgreens about this problem. Upon calling this so called complaint hotline, I was on hold 1st time 10 minutes, phone answered and then a button was pushed. I then called back and on hold for another 9 minutes again. Phone answered and a button pushed and then phone hung up. Do your graduating human resource personnel hire just anyone off the streets?

No physical damage to me but I am glad that I am not the elderly customer that called our office questioning if ** and ** were the same thing, or better yet the 84 year old man that has received 420 tabs pain meds since 11/29/08. ** replied well we just used the refills from 2007 left over; that is right 2007. I am so glad that this PT had not developed a different DX in 2 years.

I was almost at my train when I was approached by a heavy set male (an associate a Duane Reade). He said to me "I noticed that you picked up a pack of cough drops and didn't pay for them, can you show me where you put them?" I was shocked because I shop at that particular Duane Reade all the time. I told the man that I had placed the cough drops on a self because they were priced too high and I had to catch my train. He proceeded to insist on looking in my bag. Then he says to me "I'm going to let you go because you have to catch your train." It was very unprofessional behavior. Today, at 10:25 am CST, we received a call from a female, who didn't take no for an answer and became very rude. I terminated the call, after telling her to remove our number from whatever list it was on. We are on the no call list. At 10:26, we received the first of four telephone calls, one right after the other. I would no more hang up when the phone would ring again from the same number, only there wasn't anyone responding on the other end to my hello's. I called the 888 number and the automated menu stated it was Walgreens Medicare something program, etc. I opted for customer service and Clem answered.

I went through the same spiel, remove number from list, we didn't solicit this service, nor do we want whatever it is they are selling. After receiving yet another telephone call, I called back and Tammy had the misfortune of taking my call. I went through the entire spiel again. She said, like Clem, that our number would be removed. Well, at 1419 (2:19 pm CST), we got another phone call, no one to respond to my hello's. This is out and out harassment and I am taking steps to report them to the Better Business Bureau, our state's Attorney General, and will be sending a letter of complaint to the CEO of Walgreens.

Since it was later in the evening we didn't open the bags up until the next morning at which time my wife realized we had gotten home with only half of my main pain medication, hydrocodone which is prescribed for a failed back surgery. She immediately contacted the pharmacy and was told that they would have to check their counts and would call us back. Several days later and no phone call my wife called the Walgreen Pharmacy to see if they had found the other half of my medication and was told they had not and that their counts were correct. They were in the process of going through all prescription bags to make sure it had not been placed in someone else's bag and the pharmacy manager was sure she had filled the full 120 tablets because she remembered doing it.

To make a long story short and numerous phone calls to even the corporate office finally on October 13, 2008 the pharmacy called and said they had the other 60 ** for us to pick up. On Sunday October 19, 2008 I fell. My wife assisted me up and got me sat on the couch. I asked if she would get my pain medication and when she opened up the bottle of ** and the bottle that was labeled Ibuprofen she noticed the pills looked identical. After double checking the 2nd bottle of ** we had received she realized what Walgreens had done. The other 60 tablets of ** that was missing had actually been mislabeled as **. Instead of me taking 750 mg of ** 4 times per day and Ibuprofen 800 mg 3 times per day I had been taking 1500 mg of ** 3 times per day and the fourth dose of 750 mg 3 times the dosage that I should have had.

We have contacted our physician to let them know of the mislabeled prescription and my concern over my blood work. Walgreens Pharmacy is scary. We have received other people’s medications and luckily my wife saw it. We have switched all of our prescriptions to another pharmacy because we are too scared that this could happen a second time. I find it very disturbing that they could have made some Sales instead of losing sales just because of a simple math. I will also call FCC and will file a complaint.

I filled a prescription, a refill for a medication I have taken in the past. This was for generic ** 12.5 mg. This refill was #2 out of 3 the doctor prescribed. When I opened the bottle at home I noticed the pills were a different color than the small white round pills I was accustomed to. I called the pharmacy and spoke to a woman on the phone who said she filled the prescription and remembered doing so. I told her how they appeared different and she asked me to tell her what the Walgreen label said the pill should look like. I said small round white tablet. I informed her that the pills in the bottle were blue. She told me that it could be due to it being made by a different manufacturer. I offered to come back to the pharmacy for her to look at the pills and she assured me that was not necessary and that when different manufacturers make the pills they can appear different. She said mine were OK and I was all set.

Believing her I took the medication as directed by my doctor for 30 days until I refilled my last prescription. This time I got home and saw that the pills were white again. So I decided to compare the bottles. The first thing I saw was that it was made by the same manufacturer, Mylan. The Walgreens label said both bottles had 12.5 mg pills, but then I saw the difference. The previous bottle with the blue pills were for 37.5 mg so I was taking 3x what I should have been. I was extremely tired, physically exhausted and moody, irritable and felt like something was wrong. Now that I know I was taking the wrong dose, I know why I was tired, moody, forgetful, unable to concentrate and irritable. Now that I am back on the right dose, I have the same side effects I was experiencing on the higher dose but to a higher degree which will take some time to get through as my body becomes accustomed to the reduced dose I should have been taking all along.

I know mistakes happen, and luckily I'm not one of those who died or suffered serious medical trauma as a result of the pharmacy's mistake. However, I don't believe things like this should go unreported and that the pharmacy should be disciplined and a mark placed on them to have better controls in place to be sure things like this don't happen or someone suffers worse things at the hand of a pharmacist who for whatever reasons they may have to explain why things like this happen, good bad or indifferent, has brought harm to someone they are servicing. It's not fair that I should have to just say, "That's OK. You made a mistake. I'm still alive so just try harder next time." Mistakes like this affect people's work, relationships and lives in general and puts others at risk and it shouldn't have to come down to a serious tragedy for a huge corporation like Walgreens to take a look at what's going on and do something about it.

On Friday 9/5/08 My husband and I entered the Duane Reade at 609 Columbus Ave in an attempt to collect a prescription that I had been trying to get filled for three days. After having my Doctor call to make sure all was correct with the new prescription, for there had been a problem with the old one, pharmacist Nan Zhao told me all was well, the problem had been solved but, I must return in 2 hours. After going to another appointment and returning 3 hours later, alone, I again tried to collect the medicine.

Mr. Zhao told me it was not ready I would have to wait. Trying to be patient, I waited, walked around the store and sat to wait some more. I asked again when would it be ready. He told me in a very nasty way that he did not know. I explained to him again that I need the medicine and reminded him it has already been three days. He told me he knew I needed it and that I should come back tonight or tomorrow or whenever. I then said I've been here waiting for over 30 minutes already just trying to find out the status of my meds. He ignored me and instead of filling the prescription he threw it aside dismissing me by saying you just have to wait, better yet you can take it somewhere else. I said this sort of thing happens all the time so, No! you fill it and then maybe I will go somewhere else, from now on. Then Nan Zhao said, very sarcastically, with venom in his voice: Good I hope you mean it!! I Hope you don't come back here. Don't come back here ever.

Another customer then spoke up saying: yeah it does happen all the time here... and he is an a--hole. And some other customer agreed and expressed the same opinion. While yet another customer earlier had complained about her prescription not being ready and hers was done through the call in service. She said this happens to her all the time, also. I said see other people agree and think you're an a--hole too. Then he disappeared. I tried to speak to the other pharmacist and was yet again treated rudely. He made me spell my name while pretending to look for the prescription which he subsequently tells me is lost and that I must return later.

I returned to my home and explained the situation to my husband. We returned to the store and my husband approached Mr. Zhao and introduced himself and asked if Mr. Zhao was one of the persons to whom had spoken to his wife earlier. At first Mr. Zhao did not answer, trying to ignore my husband. My husband was upset at this rudeness and the fact of how I had been treated earlier. He then inquired about Zhao's treatment of me. To which Zhao said he did not like to be pushed and the medicine was not ready. When my husband explained to him that he was there the first time and had heard the promise of having the medicine ready in two hours, Zhao said there was a problem with the prescription. When my husband then again informed Zhao that he had also heard him say the the problem had been cleared up, and all was fine. All Zhao could do was hold his head down and say he had been helping me... I interjected and asked him, help me? How? My doctor called here and got this all correct. We live up six flights of stairs and we are sick people. We do not need to run back and forth while you hold us hostage for medications we need to have desperately.

Then the other pharmacist said well there was a problem with the prescription, My husband told him no there was not because Zhao had told him the problem was cleared up. The pharmacist then said well anyway we tell everybody to come back in two hours. We were even more appalled at this information and my husband said well that is very unprofessional and this is why you have lines going all the way to the front of the store. You have sick people who need there medications standing in a cold, air conditioned, store for nothing while you lie and tell them to keep coming back when you know the prescriptions will not be filled. Furthermore, you stand here and lie to me and say the prescription was lost. This is why people get so upset and have to take back their prescription and go to other pharmacies.

I find it hard to believe that in my neighborhood there is a Duane Reade every three blocks that has taken over other stores that have served us better. Maybe they should stop opening so many new stores and just start putting more help and better service in the existing store. Most people come to this store because it is a pharmacy not just a store where they go for food. We're not grocery shopping

we go there to buy medicine. Everybody in that store was shocked to hear I had a problem and was not coming back there anymore, because I always got along exceptionally well with the clerks and people that work there. And could not believe the indifference of the pharmacist and their attitudes.

Time and money spent to keep going back to Duane Reades. The damage of not having my medication for four days. The fact that I had to take the prescription to another store. My husband has arthritis and 3 hip replacements and I have arthritis and many issue that are exacerbated with stress. We were both affected by this situation and feel that

I am the mother of a handicapped child with a rare genetic syndrome. On August 26, 2008 was driving through the Walgreens pharmacy to fill the 2 prescriptions that my son had to have that evening. I pulled up to the window, since at the end of the day my son could not physically or emotionally handle walking into the store. The clerk informed me that it would take 2 and 1/2 hours to fill my 2 simple prescriptions. I explained to the clerk that we lived too far out to leave and come back and that my handicapped son was not able to wait for 2 and 1/2 hours either in the store or otherwise for this medication. The clerk eventually got the pharmacist who was very rude to me and informed me that he would not fill my son's prescription ahead of anyone else and that it would be over 2 hours before he could fill our prescription. I tried to explain our situation and he would not reconsider.

I have 3 other children and I assure you that I know the difference between not wanting to wait because you have a sick child and not being able to wait because you have a handicapped child who is not capable of waiting. Most airports, security checkpoints, grocery stores, restaurants, doctor's offices, even theme parks understand this and make exceptions for children who have handicaps and are not physically or emotionally able to wait. Walgreens seems to be the exception.

I took my prescriptions back, went to another pharmacy less than 1 mile away and they understood completely and filled the prescriptions within 10 minutes. I have extended family and families of handicapped children who have, for years, gotten all of their prescriptions filled at Walgreens who are now reconsidering this.

Well I did and everyday after. Ms K told me she would contact the main office regarding the problem and it would be resolved and I even gave her my cell number to contact me.

Well that seem to be the same story I heard everyday, until I spoke to the store manager on Aug.21 and I was very upset and in the middle of our cconversation she tells me she has me on speaker phone. Again very unprofessional this should of been stated in the beginning of the phone call, Now she tells me that after 2 days the photos are no longer in the main system and they are having problems with the seventy-five in the system.

I have two questions why didn't Ms K notify the main system sooner and why didn't she call me back. The professionalism of the managers of this store is unacceptable. I'm writing today because I was again guarantee I phone call but I had to call them and was told the same old story.

Following a workplace injury and a failed back surgery in 2006 I have been a patient of St Luke's Pain Management Clinic in Kansas City, Missouri for over 2 years. About 10-12 days after Walgreens had filled one of my schedule II narcotics in May 2008 I realized that I had been shorted. The prescription was for 60 tabs and I only received 30. I contacted both the pharmacy and pain clinic. The pain clinic also contacted the Walgreens store and they, without hesitation, said it was not their problem and that they had filled the script as prescribed. Following this mistake my doctor wrote for me a new prescription for the 30 pills I had been shorted after I took a piss test. Walgreen's told the clinic they would not fill the additional script so I went to CVS and had it filled.

After I met the pharmacist at the Sedalia Walgreens I decided not to pursue the matter for 2 reasons. One, the pharmacist was in my belief about 75 years or older and seemed quite slow (I felt sorry for him). Second there was no way I could prove that I was shorted, as Walgreens took an abrupt stand and without investigation told me it was not their issue. It is very difficult to switch pharmacies when you are dealing with a huge workers compensation insurance company so I continued my relationship with Walgreen's. Now, in August following my monthly visit to the pain clinic, I dropped my prescriptions at the Walgreens at 3845 Broadway, Kansas City, MO 64111. This is the original Walgreens I did all my business with in Kansas City until I moved to Sedalia, MO in April this year.

When I got home I discovered in my drug information paperwork the very prescription for 56 ** that my doctor had just wrote for the pharmacy. So now I had the 56 ** and the prescription for them. I was shocked at such a mistake. I could have gone anywhere except Walgreens and had it filled again. So in essence, I had available to me 112 ** instead of 56. Immediately I contacted Walgreens Corporate and my doctor to advise them of this error. I told Walgreens that I would return the script if and when they were to reimburse me for the out of pocket expenses of $165 for 30 ** and $130 to rent a car to go back to the doctor in KC to correct their first mistake. So I now have 2 mistakes of giving the wrong amounts of a Schedule II narcotic to the same patient in less than 4 months. The pain clinic was shocked and Walgreens did not seem too concerned.

I was promised a callback from the KC district manager over the pharmacies that never came so a couple days later I called them. I was told that they would not be willing to reimburse me for my out of pocket expense but that since I was a long time good customer they would give me a $25 gift certificate. The only other two people that showed concern were the store manager of Walgreens that returned to me the doctor's script and my doctor. Understandably he wanted the script to correct his error and the doctor asked me to bring it back with me on my September 11th visit.

This is why I am writing you. I can not afford to shell out of my pocket $165 for the meds and $130 to rent a car for a second trip to Kansas City but I had to have the medication. I would have thought Walgreens would jump at such an offer but I was wrong. I want to punish Walgreens for their mistake and get my money back. It's my opinion that Walgreens protocol for the dispensing of narcotics is broken. What are the chances of two errors happening at two different Walgreens to the same patient in less than 4 months? I want justice and I want to make a statement that even though they are the largest they are nowhere near the best. In fact I would use caution if you use Walgreens' Pharmacies.

I have filed complaints both with Walgreens and the Texas Pharmacy Agency but have not heard anything back.

I believe this should be considered a crime as I know the pharmacy is billing my insurance for the full amount. What is happening to these pills? Are the being sold on the black market perhaps? What recourse is there to make this unable to happen?

When I went to pick it up, they told me that the insurance would not pay for it (and rightly so) because it was too soon for the refill. It turns out that Duane Reade shorted me by 24 pills. When I told Duane Reade this on the phone, they told me it was my responsibility to count the pills. I thought this was their responsibility. My doctor told me for the first 2 weeks to take one a day and I did. After two weeks I started taking twice a day (this is what the prescription called for.) When I calculate the days I've been taking and what I have left - they filled my prescription bottle with 36 pills when it should have been 60.

In January 2008 when I first began using Walgreens prescriptions by mail, I requested automatic refills, an option they offered. For awhile, I thought the plan was working. Then without warning, my medication didn't arrive. I called the pharmacy 4/4/08 and told them I was completely out of ** XL 150mg. They seemed to be unaware that I was on automatic refill. A rep agreed to send a refill. I asked if it could be sent by expedited delivery since I was totally out of the tablets. The female rep said yes, but 3 days later the Walgreen website showed no evidence that it had even been shipped.

I called again. Another rep also seemed unaware that I'd requested automatic refill, but offered to refill the Rx which I would receive in about 2 weeks. I explained that I was totally out of this medication which I have taken daily for years, and that it should not be abruptly stopped. I told them I was feeling the effects of being without the medication (** is a powerful antidepressant) and asked if expedited delivery was available. John, the phone rep this time, told me it would cost an extra five dollars. I was glad to pay extra. I just wanted my medication.

Three days later I still had received no delivery. I called a third time, trying to control my desperate emotional state. The rep. this time was able to locate my order and said it should arrive no later than 2 weeks from now. For a third time I asked for more rapid delivery, 2nd day air or similar. He informed me it was too late to change the shipping.I asked to speak to a pharmacist but was told they could do nothing about shipping. That's probably true, and anyway I think I might have sounded nearly incoherent by this time.

They might not have been able to understand my attempt to communicate. I complained by email to a customer service representative named Latasha L., who sent a form email apologizing for the inconvenience and asking my prescription number. Finally, about 14 days after my first call to Walgreens, I received my medication. That was followed by a call from them informing me what the cost would be for refills on my other prescriptions. Immediately, I went to Wal-Mart and asked them to transfer my prescriptions from Walgreens. I have worked as an R.N. for nearly 30 yrs. both in the military and in civilian life. Never have I seen such indifference to a patient's need for medications prescribed by their physician.

There was no permanent damage after a short period of mental distress. Things were fine when was able to take my medication again. When they called about my other prescriptions, however, I let them send refills at the cost of $800 dollars. If they had waited a week, the medications would have been covered by my insurance. But I paid the cost to avoid further difficult experiences with them. That financial loss was my own fault. But I was more worried than ever before about being caught without needed medication.

I could not find ANY of these products and asked two separate sales clerks, one Hispanic female (who could hardly speak or understand English)and one male white, neither could help me nor knew where the products where and told me to come back at another time to check. What?! I then asked to speak to a manager, they stated that he wasn't around.

I left VERY frustrated and hence here is my complaint. I wasted my gas money and time visiting the store today when I just paid $3.78 a gallon for gas to visit the store and left frustrated and empty handed. In this day and age when gas prices are so HIGH they should have the products on hand in the store. I left the rest of the other items in my cart and left the store. In this present time when consumers have to pay ALOT in gas, the last thing we want is to waste our trip to a store that doesn't carry it's products as listed. What a waste of my time and money, no wonder America is going down the drain financially! The Walgreens company is misleading the public by distributing weekly sales circular flyers to draw customers in but DO NOT CARRY THE PRODUCTS! Jeff

4-23-08 2:00 pm. I Stopped at a walgrens on the Newport Highway they did not have enough medicine in stock to fill my RX. They called the N Division store and sent us up there to fill the RX. There were about 3 cars in the parking lot so We stopped at the drive thru and was told by the person working the window it was going to be 30 min. I had arranged a ride with a friend and our time was short and we only had about 15 min to spare. We asked if she could possibly be do it any sooner and she became very angry and said there are 20 other people ahead of you. You will just have to come back. She was a real jerk about it.

I have 2 herniated disc's in my back and in a lot of pain I had not choice but to wait. However my ride had to drop me off and leave. I had to wait another 2 1/2 hours for a ride just because this very rude person could care less about her customers. THis will be the last time I every shop or fill a prescription at Walgrens and will tell everyone I know. The employees are not customer oriented and very rude.

I was in severe pain and had to get my RX immediately. My ride could not wait and I could not walk the 8 miles home due to my back pain. I had to wait 2 1/2 hours for another ride.

I have been using Neutorgena products for some time including antiwrinkle intensive treatment, SPF 20. I go to web site and it sends me to Drugstore.com. They do not have product. The same is true for other neutorgena products I have used in the past. A company that is supposed to be for informed and quality oriented users should have reliable sources to find their products. I am not impressed by their marketing or sales.

I want to use Neutrogena products but I can't find a reliable place to buy them. Should I switch to another brand?

Walgreen had a free refil of cartridges for printers on 4/9/08. I took in my color cartridge because I knew it was getting low. It was working fine but getting low. I picked it up on that night. The next night we printed with it and the blue color came out pink. I went to Walgreens two days later and talked to the photo center and was told to bring it in and they would fix it.

I took it in on Sunday (the next day) and when I picked it up I was told that it failed the print test but they would have the person that normally works in the photo shop look at it on Monday (today). I went there after work today and was told that it passed the print test but one of the pins leaks and they would not reccommed me using it in my printer and I should buy a new one for $36.00. The lady that normaly worked the photo department told me that the machine could have broke the pin when filling it but the manager who does not work in that department says the machine did break it and all she could do was offer me a rain check for a free refill of another cartridge when I needed it on a new cartridge that I bought.

I left the cartridge at the store because it was leaking. I can not even use my printer because it takes both black and color cartridges before it will print and I will be out $36.00 for a cartridge that was supposed to be a free refill.

Presented my Flexible benefits card and the pharmacist refused to accept it. He said it was rejected. I presented my wife's card (same account) and he asked another person behind the counter. She said there is no money in my flex-spending account. I explained that there is more than $1000.00 in the account. I was asked to pay by some other means. I gave my personal debit card to for the prescription.

I then checked my balance in the flex account and found there is much more than $12000.00 in the account. I sent n email to the flex account firm. Today I received an email stating that no transaction was rejected by the flex company on 4/5/2008. The email further stated that Walgreen's system rejected my means of payment.

I have been using Walgreen's exclusively for my prescriptions and my wife's prescriptions and have purchased other goods regularly. Recently I have received extremely poor service from Walgreen's. I have been given erroneous infromation. I have had the prescription label for a different medication affixed to my presciption medicine. Of course the dosage instructions were not correct since they were actually for some other person with whom I am not acquainted. I received a call from Walgreens telling me my prescription was ready. When I arrived to claim it I was told It was not ready and I would have to wait until someone could fill it. I could go on but that's enough. Will my card no longer be accepted at Walgreen's? Should I expect this nonchalant attitude and lack of concern to continue?

On January 3, 2008 my husband picked up my pain medicine, generic ** es. I opened up the bag and saw that I was not given the correct amount, 180 pills. I called the pharmacy and my daughter took the pill bottle I was given to the pharmacist. After it was checked I was given the remainder of the pills in another bottle. I took the pills and then I began having diarrhea and vomiting for about 2 weeks off and on.

During this time my pain was out of control. On January 13, I called my doctors service and after I spoke with the doctor on call and told him about the vomiting and diarrhea and he prescribed medicine for the vomiting. After taking the second dose of the medicine for the vomiting I developed the shakes and it felt like my skin was crawling and jumpy. My husband took me to the hospital emergency room and I was given ** and was told I must have some kind to stomach flu since they could not find any other reason and that I had a reaction to the rx for the vomiting. At the hospital they gave me something due to low potassium, due to the vomiting and diarrhea, and if it continued to see my Dr.

I continued being sick and I got very nervous and worried and I checked the medicine and discovered that the rx I was given was not the pain medicine, it was labeled correctly but the pills did not match the one on the label. I went on the internet and found that I had been taking ** 1000 mgs. I immediately called my Dr and he told me to stop taking the pills and to contact the pharmacy. I called the pharmacy and they issued the correct rx. He told me that someone for the pharmacy would call me to find out how I was and to discuss the mistake. The pharmacist said that what happened was he had a new assistant and when they gave me the second bottle he did not check the medicine in the bottle and told me it was his error.

Two days later the insurance co for the pharmacy called me and said they would give me $350. I told him that it was not fair considering what I went through and then he offered me $1000 and I still did not think it a fair offer. He asked what did want, tone of voice at this time was now very aggressive. I told him I did not know, I had never had this happen to me, He wanted an amount so off the top of my head I said alright then, $6000. He said he would get back to me. He request the hospital records. I went to the hospital and faxed them to him.

About a week later I received a letter saying that they investigated and found that they were not at fault and basically that was that. I called them and they said that since I was prescribed **, 500 mg months before I must of put this medicine in the pain medicine bottle. I told then that this was ridiculous I could not take this medicine because it made me sick and it is not medicine that was dispensed in the ** bottle. He said that I had asked for $6000 for the error and I said I said that amount because I did not know what to ask for so I said if it is too much money I would lower it to $3000. He said he would discuss it with his supervisor and call me back. He has not called me back an does not return my calls.

For 2 weeks I had to deal with my back pain, embarrassing, uncontrolled diarrhea, the vomiting, and my blood sugar got as low as #48 at one point. I had to go the hospital in the middle of the night and was scared that something was terribly wrong with me. And the aggravation in dealing with people who were basically calling me a liar. I need some kind of assistance in dealing with this situation.

I was overcharged for a gallon of milk. On 4-01-2008 their ad featured the milk for $2.69. The sale tag on the shelf of milk read $2.69 also. I was charged $2.99 even though the cashier asked the manager to check on it. He didn't check. I went back to photo for a refund and asked for a bounty in accordance to our state's laws. The manager waited on me there. He gave me $.30!

I was denied the bounty and the manager said it didn't apply to sale items. I know better than that from being overcharged at stores in the past. Not only did the manager refuse to check on the sale price for me, he also denied me a $5.00 bounty for my inconvenience. He didn't even apologize. I have been overpriced before for sale items at this store recently. It's getting tiring.

We filled a prescription at walgreens for our 10 month old son. Walgreens gave us a prescription bottle that directed us to give him this medication as needed. Well i contacted a pharmacist outside of walgreens and they told me that this medication is to be given once a day. My son was basicaly sedated for an entire day, and has a nose bleed now. I found out that he could have hd a seziure and died because of their mistake. We are currently looking for a lawyer. I am extremely upset over this!!!!!!
