We had shipped the CD player to Venturer Electronics because Walmart would not exchange it after 30 days. They in turn about 2 months later sent us an older CD player that did not work, and was not the same value as the first. I had made several phone calls to the company regarding the problem & left messages with the manager. Half the time the people on the phone would hang up on me & the manager has never once called me back. I told them that this is a fitness gym that needs music to play all day. We have had to borrow one from a member for the time, but they need it back. We paid good money for a CD player in May, & have only had one for a couple of months.
Venturer still refuses to call me back & said that we could be waiting in to next year before we receive a CD player. I find this extremely unacceptable & unprofessional. I have never had such terrible customer service & unsatisfaction with a company in my life. I will never buy a RCA product in my life, & I will never buy a product from Walmart again. I hope that you will be able to help us with this problem. If they will not send us a new CD player I wish that they would send us the money or credit at a store to purchase another one. I need a CD player for my business asap. All of my members know about this situation & have vowed to never buy a RCA product anymore. We had purchased item #RS2653 after 60 days the CD player shorted out.

Early in the morning around 9am I entered the Walmart store in Indiana, PA. I walked back to get some printer ink and as I walked down I heard AC/DC playing real loud in the men's clothing section. Set up was AC/DC stuff all over the place and I could tell was keeping people away from the back of the store. I would like to ask Walmart to please cancel the bad taste t-shirts and way too much Halloween stuff! Believe me I am not the only one who dislikes this overdose of stuff. I am just someone who really cares and took time to email you about this. Please do something fast!

I doubt very much if this will help but I have to put in my 2 cents! I in the past worked for you and loved it! Now in the past years, way too much has changed and not for the best either! First you did away with Lay-a-way. That helped so many people in our area and remember we are the ones that made Walmart!! Second of all, you have done away with all the music and with Christmas coming, how awful to shop and have no Christmas music to help put us in the mood to spend money. Oh well, it is your loss. That's why we DON'T shop Target because it is too boring! Third, you have done away with all the sewing and yarn and crafts. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?? And now we hear that Sporting Goods is on the way out! AGAIN, WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?? Fourth, I have heard that you're going to automatic phone system and we will be talking to a computer like at Meyers.
Folks, all I can say is that you are digging your own grave. Soon Walmart will be just a thing of the past and you will have NO ONE to blame but the big shots that are making some of the dumbest decisions I have ever heard. I suggest that you re-think some of these ideas. You truly are going and have already lost many of your customers that have helped build and keep Walmart what it was. And while I am at it, please stop buying so much China-made stuff and start helping the USA! This is a serious matter. Everything I have written has been the talk of our town and I'm telling you if you're as smart as you think you are, you will start giving back to us and stop taking away!! We the people are Walmart but we can just as easily become any other chain store. I hope this is taken as serious as it is written!! Think!!! Before it is too late! I wonder if you don't want to fail????

I was at Wal-Mart shopping with my children today as I put my infant in the carrier in the seat part of the shopping cart. To my surprise, as I was shopping, my baby flipped back in the car seat and into the buggy. Thank God that she was strapped into her car seat, and thank God that the cart was full of groceries. If it wasn't full, she would have fallen backwards in the carrier into the shopping cart. This is clearly a safety hazard and there needs to be signs posted around the cart storage area to make people aware of this hazard.
I spoke with the manager and expressed my concern and she told me that it may be a defect with my car seat and that I should contact the Graco company. I told her that there should be signs posted by the shopping cart retrieval to be aware of this safety hazard. She said that she would talk to her safety guy about this. Also I was upset when she told me that there are only 3 shopping carts with infant seats that are attached to them out of the whole super center store. I feel that Wal-Mart does not accommodate mothers with infants. If I can't put my baby in the infant carrier in the shopping cart and there are not enough carts with the carriers attached to them, how am I supposed to shop when I have my infant with me? I cannot afford to pay child care every time I need to go grocery shopping! I really don't know where to go from here but it needs to be known that this can happen and is a very, very dangerous safety hazard.

I went to Walmart tonight to buy some groceries and after getting home and putting them away, I realized that I had not brought home all of my groceries. I left 2 boxes of cereal and a bottle of ketchup. I tried calling the number on my receipt and the phone just rang and rang. I thought maybe I had misdialed and tried it again - same thing. I just happened to have a Campaign phone book and looked up the Walmart in Savoy and tried some of the other numbers and had the same experience - the phone just rang. I live 30 minutes away and with gas prices being up and the late hour (10 PM) I thought a call would be sufficient for now. I am wondering how in the world do you get them to answer the phone?

My Dell Laptop had broken and would be more trouble than it was worth to get it repaired. I went to Walmart to purchase a new one on October 7, 2008. Since I trusted Dell, I wanted to stay with that Brand. The sales associate was very helpful. I saw a display one that I really liked. The associate (Andrew) went to the back to get me a new one $898.00. I purchased the 2 service plan. My total was $1,051.76. I was on my lunch so I put the laptop in my trunk and went back to work. About 3 hours later, I was talking about my new purchase and saying that I wish it had Windows XP and not Vista. My IT guy says, "Go get your laptop and I will install it for you." I get it out the trunk, bring it in. We open it and it's a Toshiba laptop in the box. I tried to call the store but got no answer.
I drove up there immediately and went to customer service. The girl at the desk called someone from electronics and the first thing he said was this was a inside job. He asked if I wanted my money back. I said no, I would like the item that I purchased. He told me to give him a second and he would get me a new one. I waited about 20 minutes for him to return when a woman comes up to me and says, "We're not taking that back because we don't sell that model." I said, "Well, this is what you sold me." She says, "Well, there is nothing we can do."
I start to cry and say, "I don't understand. This is what you sold me." I say to them, "I'm going to call the cops and take out a report," so they tell me to wait, they would get another manager. The manager (Vern) comes up and says, "We are not taking this back." I say, "I spent almost $1100.00 and I have to take this used laptop home." He says yes. I leave the store, call the district manager and leave a message. I then called the corporate store and filed a complaint. The next day, I get a call saying they looked at their security cameras and none of their employees touched the box and that maybe it came from Dell like that. I called my credit card company to start a dispute so now I am just waiting. I spent $1100.00 and don't even have a working computer.

I purchased a Schwinn bicycle on 9/14/08. Third time I ride it, I have a flat tire. No problem, right? Well, turns out Walmart doesn't carry replacement tubes or tires in the 28 inch size on mine. After a lot of aggravation, I find no one does. At first, Walmart told me they do not take back bicycles. They have a return policy posted clearly and yet still argued with me. My blood pressure went sky high. They gave me my money back and never to buy a bike from them that don't intend to keep. What kind of answer is that? Whatever happened to the customer is always right?

Last night, my husband and I shopped for a few groceries and a case of beer. We unloaded the cart at the checkout counter and I stood back so my husband could show his ID and pay. The cashier took his ID and scanned it, then she looked over at me and asked for MY ID. I told her that I wasn't the one buying the beer so she didn't need mine. She told me that that was their policy. I told her that was too bad. She wasn't getting my ID! After giving me a nasty look, she went ahead and finished the sale, to my surprise. I've had a few bad experiences. Never mind you can't cancel your order once you have completed it, but also you cannot MODIFY the order either. I placed an order today on Walmart.com at 8:56AM. I thought everything was a go until I got my email saying that the order was going to my sister's house, who resides in NJ. I usually get my nephew's gifts from walmart.com so that is the only conceivable way I can fathom why that address was listed as the default and not the BILLING address.
I called customer service at 10:22AM to have Randy tell me once the order has been placed nothing can be done to it unless it's returned. He said that he can do an 'intent to cancel' and those results won't be known until 2 business days. I cannot understand how an address cannot be modified on an order. The shipping label hasn't even been printed yet. Every problem I've always had has always resulted in them pinning their lack of assistance on the 'Fulfillment Department.' Yes, the prices are reasonable but I'm positive I've done regular-priced work just to be unsatisfied. I'm done with them they're unbending well, I just can't afford it.

Oh, I'm sorry. Screw the customer. They were on break... So what? There was 8 people in line... I go shopping early to avoid people, not stand in line for 25 min... Walmart needs to get their head out of their ** and hire management that gives a crap about people... not stand around and get paid for it... I have complained before and it never does any good. First off, I try to avoid Walmart as much as possible because of the lack of customer service. I can usually navigate and find what I need faster than it takes to track down an employee to help me. So this morning, I was feeling optimistic and I saw a TV stand online that I wanted and decided to go straight to the location and see if they had it. I picked up a few household things and went to look at the TV stands. I found what I needed but it was heavier than I could lift. There were three employees standing talking to one another with no customers around in the film department. They could see me standing there and offered no help. I approached them to ask what procedure was, i.e., did I need to prepay and then come back to have someone load it in my car or did I need to have someone come get it and take it to the front etc.
I was informed that they would have to call someone to come and get it for me. I want to say that not one of them smiled or said, "Hey, how are you, what can I help you with", etc. I was a definite interruption to their conversation. I went back over to the TV stands to wait. After waiting 10 minutes (still in plain sight of the three nonworking employees), I finally went back and told them that I was waiting and no one is coming. So the male employee asks me what I needed and I showed him which TV stand I wanted and he walks over to see how heavy it is. Then says he'll be right back. He comes over with a shopping cart, loads it up and I then have to ask him if I can check out at the register he's at. Yeah. That was pretty much the only thing he said to me the entire transaction. I helped myself out to the car.
It's so sad that we have gotten to the point that we are willing to accept this as customer service and not complain to the people in charge. Today is the day that I quit accepting this as the norm. I'm tired of going into an establishment that I have to engage the customer service people by asking them how they are or smiling at them before they ever acknowledge my presence. After all, don't they want MY money? Why should I be treated like dirt and an interruption by people who are getting paid to help the customer? If you don't like your job... QUIT, find another one.
Walmart and other employers, you need to have higher standards and lift your employees up to that. Examples like this however small are part of the problem with why this country is circling the drain. We'll complain about customer service, our schools, our government, etc to our friends and family but we don't do anything about it which means we are part of the problem. I've decided to let manager and employers know about lousy experience and on the flip side I want to report on my good experiences as well.

I think that is so wrong when people pay good money to pre order it and pay extra for shipping and stuff. I think they are trying to earn an extra BUCK FOR THEIR STORE.

I would like to bring this to the attention of someone who can help. A lot of people shop at Walmart stores and are oblivious to the truck drivers who bring those goods to that store. While so many drivers on the road need supplies and food to save money, we also require parking on the lot at times. Well while we were in McPherson, Kansas, we parked at the local Walmart to do some shopping. While we sat in their parking lot, two gentlemen approached the driveway carrying shovels and put up a no semi-truck parking allowed - will be towed at owner's expense.
This is not right. RVs can camp out in their lot, yet trucks cannot even park. Aren't truck drivers people too? Don't we deserve to eat too? I just want people to realize this is going on everywhere, and I feel it needs to stop. I think that if the general public started complaining to their local stores about the trucks not being able to park, to buy the things that they deliver in the first place, maybe things would change out here for all the truck drivers in this country. After all, isn't it a free country. Thanks in advance for your support.

I do not like to complain. But i find this rather disturbing. It seems to me that Wal-Mart always has a clean nice appearance. Now I love the Wal-Mart at the north belt location, the people are always great. This is my issue: I was in your store on 10/02/2008 about 1:30 am when i went to the make up department. Ok, women want to look their best so when you ask the person a question in that department you don’t, as a woman, want to ask a man who looks like he just crawled out from under a car. Who has no idea what kind of make up you’re talking about. This is a department, i am sorry, where a woman needs to be. Women don’t feel comfortable going up and asking a dirty-looking man “What do you think about this product?” I asked a question, he just looked lost. That is a department women should be working in. When I ask about lip plumpers i don’t expect the person to laugh and say “I don’t know what that is.” What kind of person would send someone to a department that’s about beauty and cleanliness who doesn’t know himself? Does not belong there, he was out of place and had no idea about the products that people needed help with. Like i said i love your store. I know you do your best to help the customer. Thank you for listening.

I recently took a sales ad to the Greenwood Walmart from Aldi’s that stated US #1 Russet Potatoes 10# Bag For $1.99. I assumed that since Every Walmart in America has a Policy Statement hanging up when you walk through the door, that we will match ANY Competitors sales Price as long as it is the same product in question. The US #1 Russet 10# Bag of spuds had no difference in wording or brand whatsoever. Needless to say, I was told that they would not match the price because they couldn't take that kind of a hit on cost. To me they need to change their wording on their price matching policy or be sued for false advertisement. This seems to happen more and more as our economy struggles. I'm just an average Middle Classed Joe that wants to take advantage of a cost savings when it is available.

I had a film that I wanted to have developed at the 1 Hour Photo STORE that Walmart has always had in their stores. The woman behind the counter very rudely stated that they only had "2 day service now, and I could come back then!" I am handicapped and cannot get out every day to come and go with any ease like the non-handicapped people can. Why is this service being taken away from Walmart's customers? While the film is being developed, we are shopping, and thusly spending money at that Walmart store!! THIS WOULD SEEM TO ME TO BE A "WIN-WIN SITUATION!"
If I need to go to Target or Kmart to find a 1 Hour Photo shop, then I will be spending my money at their stores, NOT Walmart!! This is too bad as I love the Walmart stores and would really hate to have to go elsewhere. Like I stated above, I am handicapped, and need to accomplish all of my business when I am able to get out and about. I cannot get in and out of a car with any ease, so running all over town, looking for a 1 HOUR PHOTO STORE is a great inconvenience!!! If this decision is to be nationwide, please change your policy! This is a bad decision!! If you start taking services away from your customers, they will take their business away from you!!!

Today Oct 2, 2008, I bought 2 bottles of octane booster - shelf price 1.98. I used the self-checkout. The price for the octane booster was 4.50. I called the lady over. She said "I will go check out the price." She comes back with the price tag from the shelf which says 1.98. She says "look, this is a different name brand." In tiny writing which I could not read without a magnifier was a different brand. I said I want my money back. In the return department I told the women this is a crime. The price is marked 1.98, there are no other bottles there but this brand. One is 1.98 and a stronger bottle, same brand is 6.95. The brand for the 1.98 bottle, which you cannot read, is not on the shelf. I have had so many problems with the Freehold store. Many occurrences have happened throughout my years of shopping at Walmart, but nothing I haven't been able to deal with, even though it has been frustrating. However, two particular happenings come to mind. I am disabled and in a wheelchair. I ALWAYS have trouble finding a parking space, no matter what time of day I go to shop. I asked someone why in the spring they set up their greenhouse on the south end of the parking lot and in doing so eliminate 6-8 handicap spaces while not producing any additional parking spaces elsewhere. I just got an I do not know. This has gone on for many years since.
Also, on my last trip to the bakery, I purchased my usual dozen cookies. There was a new Walmart label on it, but when I got home, I opened the package and it hit me that the package had no sticker on it to assure that it had not been tampered with. It was so anyone could open them and do whatever they wanted and nothing would alert the consumer that it had been tampered with. It is just something I think Walmart should correct and I wonder how they can get by doing this with food.

She had thought that maybe the plastic container had broken and it was from that but now both of us have had the same expierence.
I havent touched the other two muffins and I dont plan to. I didnt know what to do so I called Wal-mart and asked for the bakery. I asked the lady if they had made the muffins that I had bought the night before and she informed me that they did not make any muffins there at all. So I told her the story and all she said was to bring the muffins to the store and they would refund my money. At that point I informed her that she should probably tell someone about this and the way she answered me I dont think she is going to.
I dont have any physical damage but I could have and thank god my 4 year old didnt choke on any plastic because I caught it.

My husband was told and the employee came back to me and said since the price on the shelf (both had the same skew #'s) was 17 cents they would honor it, no limit. So we were instructed to bring the merchandise to the desk to be checked out. Because out community was looking for inexpensive items for Halloween for the children we decided we would purchase 144 boxes of 24 count to donate to the community.
After the first sales person checked us out she asked another gal for her number to put into the computer. When she saw that we were purchasing that amount she said in a raised voice I can't sell you that many for that price because I would be loosing to much money. she then called the manager and she asked him or told him she couldn't do it. When does the person at the customer service over ride the manager? She said she could sell us one at 17 cents but we had to pay full price for the rest. We DIDN'T purchase them.
When my daughter called back to the store and talked to Jeff she was told that the price had increased to over a dollar the beginning of the week. Told us if we wanted to come back to the store he could possible work out a deal of half price with us. By this time we were 7 miles from the store. When we returned home I called the Independence, Iowa store to ask what the policy and was told that I should have received one free and $3.00 off the rest of the purchase.
We do alot of business with Wal-mart but after being told differnt policy's or changes in prices etc I'm not sure if Wal-mart warrants our or any of our family's business. I had to leave after I put the fish in their tank and bowl, and when I got back, the red eye was dead.
A few hours later, I checked the remaining fish, and the black neon was dead. And now one of the two sharks are dying, and the other shark will die soon too, as they did not inform me that these sharks need TEN GALLON TANKS and MARINE SALT WATER.
They are keeping these sharks in HUGE groups in a five gallon tank of freshwater! AND SELLING THEM TO CHILDREN! On top of that, I went to wash out the betta tank, and the thing was melted in the corner, and did not hold water. So my betta has no home right now but a different one gallon bowl I had.

i do understand that people are off and others are loosing their jobs, but... come on. then, checking out in the lawn section was very slow too. the older woman just took her time with the line building up like there was no hurry in life. some of us, are on a busy schedule and don't mind waiting a reasonable time. but if she is that slow, maybe she could work in the backroom somewhere.

I purchased a combo pack of ink for my HP printer as I needed black and I decided to get color, too as I had not used color in quite a while. I put them in my printer and the color did not work. I am assuming my printer may be bad. I tried to return the ink but was told tgat because it was open they would not give me a refund as they get no credit for opened ink cartridges. The girls at customer service were very nice and finally called a manager who said the same thing.
I explained that there was no way I could know that the ink did not work without opening the package and putting it in the printer but it made no difference. If it is the policy that they would get no credit from their supplier it is not right because I had to open it. I purchased the ink on Monday, Sept. 22 and tried to return it on Sept. 24. I have my receipt. It is HP ink and an HP printer and doesn't it seem silly that I could have bought a new printer for less than what I am losing on the ink purchase.

The workers just let it go and attempt to clean it up but with the number of kids and them running amuck it is too much for a few workers to handle. The parents either need to hold the kids or the store needs to not allow the kids to run or throw the parents out

Today, September 24, 2008 I went to the fabric section of the Wal-Mart store, at that time I noticed an employee was available to help. I selected several pieces of fabric to be cut. Now, when I was ready, the employee wasn't available and I needed help with the fabric. I rang the bell, waited a few minutes and rang again. This went on for about 30 minutes. I left and did some other shopping. I returned to that department, no one was available, yet. I rang again to no avail. I went to another department, they announced once that help was needed in the fabric department and then no more. No one came. I went to the customer pick-up counter, no one was there.
I walked through the store and finally found a manager (so the name tag indicated), she apolgized and directly found a man that would volunteer to cut. As soon as he had cut one piece the employee that was supposed to work the fabric department appeared, some 40-45 minutes after I had made my selections. She said someone else was supposed to cover for her, of course. He said to her, no problem. Well, I had a problem, and no one felt it was important. Upon leaving the fabric counter I noticed little pods of employees chitchatting here and there as if nothing needed doing.
Next I went to the cashier, she rang up my items. I paid and picked up my bag. I said, is this the only one I have? --as she was the one packaging and I was the one writing the check. Yes, was the answer, one bag. By this time I was so aggravated that I just wanted out of Wal-Mart. I took the bag and headed for the parking lot. As I walked I thought a little clearer and I realized this couldn't be my only bag. I went back in, lo and behold my other 2 bags were setting on the floor waiting for me, along with a sorry.
This kind of thing has happened to me many times, with Wal-mart, at the check out, I end up getting in my car and driving back to the store to retrieve my missing items I have paid for. It'll be a while before I head for Wal-Mart, I'll have to be desperate.

i now buy a 50 lb. bag of ole yeller dog food at kroger for about $4.00 less than old roy at wm. i have also noticed that wm is deceptive in some of their rollback prices.

Customer service said they could not take back electronics that is over 15 days. They cant exchange it or anything. Basically I am stuck with it. I paid $50 for this stupid product and I can't return it.
No where on the recepit does it state that there is a 15 day return policy. I did not see a sign anywhere in electronics that said there was a 15 day return policy. When I returned it, at the customer service desk, there was a sign on the wall. WEll, does that mean I have to go to customer service before I buy anything because you dont know what type of policies you could be stuck with? I feel that is very unfair. I will NEVER shop there again
I am angry about the whole experience. Customer service just took the complaint at corporate office and that was it. I called the store office and they just told me that that was the policy and if there was no sign up to inform the customers they would make sure there was NEXT time for others! Well, what about me? I am stuck with a IPOD that I never wanted for myself and i have nothing to show for the $50 I already spent there. I have been robbed!

After waiting 4 days I called Walmart back again telling them I have not heard anything Nexicore. He said that his computer was showing hte parts were ordered and had just come in so they should be contacting me shortly. What parts I asked, they have not even looked at my computer and you did not trouble shoot it over the phone. He didn't have an answer to this question. He told me that he had spoken to them and I would be receiving a call from them within 24 hours to schedule a service appointment.
48 hours later I call Walmart back letting them know I have not heard anything from their contracted help Nexicore. So almost two weeks after my first call I am sitting at home with no working pc and no idea when anyone is coming to fix it. as i was driving over to my daughter's home from that store, i began to steam. so, i decided to go to the store closest to my daughter's home...store# 5220 tampa, fl. and go in and talk to that mgr. and ask him/her what the problem was. she very politely told me that it had to be processed as a vendor coupon, but i would have to return to store# 2627 to have them redeemed. so, i said thank you so much and drove back to store#2627 and spoke to bill again about what the other mgr. had told me. he was polite but obviously irritated and very adamant that it must be processed as a check and there was an outstanding balance on a bad check against the name or acct...and since there were three different names on them that they were somehow all connected and he would not process them as a coupon.
he still refused to get someone else's advice or opinion and that's what irritated me. so, the next day i went back to store# 5220 with the product, the coupons and the receipt and explained everything to the mgr. and asked her if i could return the product and buy it back using the coupons....which she very graciously did and i am still a very happy walmart customer.

During the summer of 2007, I purchased 22 gallons of McCloskey exterior stain/paint in order to paint my home. Most of the product came from the Wal-Mart in Augusta,ME some from Wal-Mart in Waterville, ME and some at the Wal-Mart in Seabrook, NH. Reason for several store purchases is because the stain/paint was no longer available in the Augusta store. As the painting project had begun, we thought it prudent to continue with the same product. In this regard, the sales staff at Wal-Mart Augusta promised the paint would be delivered to their store; it never was.
Be that as it may, it is now one year since the painting of my home, and we find it necessary to repaint because the McCloskey brand has peeled and chipped. When I was shopping for product and in order to seek the most cost-effective yet quality product, I had been told the Wal-Mart product compared to Glidden paint. IT DOES NOT, and the reason I know this is because people who have used Glidden are not experiencing the same problems with the exterior properties.
The cost per gal. is $15.62 plus 5% ME state sales tax, totals $16.40 per gal x 22 gal cost me a total of $360.80. This figure does not include painting contractor costs. Not a bad costing IF the project end result had been satisfactory; it is not. Now that the painting project needs to be redone, it has become a costly project for me. I am retired, living on a fixed income and while it may be argued that I made the decision to purchase the product. In the state of Colorado, it is illegal for people to bring their pets, in particular, dogs, into stores that sell food. The only exemption from this law is if the dog is an assist dog. People have been bringing their animals into this store some time now. I was checking out, a man had his puppy with him, put the dog on the checkout merchandise counter to pay for his purchase. Not only did the checkout person not tell the man that dogs were not allowed in the store, she proceeded to pet it. Standing by was a manager, I turned to the manager, reminded her about Colorado state law. She gave me a blank stare, did nothing. The man actually turned around and told me to mind my own business.
So the way I see it, not only did Walmart employees and manager break the law but condoned it. I called the company of Walmart, and was told that they can not ask if a dog is a pet or assist animal. However, that is not correct. There are questions they can ask to determine if the animal is just a pet. those questions come from the organization that protects the handicap. In other words, my health, the condition of the store in respect to cleanliness nor the condition of the merchandise is of any concern to Walmart.

It's Fri. afternoon, ten of 5 pm. The customer in front of me buys a few items and proceeds to CASH HER PAYROLL CHECK only to discover that the cashier DOES NOT have enough CASH. Imagine the nerve of Walmart to be unprepared to serve as everyone's personal banker! Meanwhile, I have unloaded half a shopping cart full of groceries--as in perishable, refrigerated items--on the conveyor. We all wait, and wait and wait...for 15 MINUTES for a supervisor to bring the cash. Hello! Has Walmart ever considered the disservice it's doing its cash paying customers by serving as the Bank of Walmart? Hello? What good is Walmart doing for customers like this who have no credit, no bank account, etc.?
So now I have to maneuver through the amply widened aisles of the Walmart mega-store...now that it has succeessfully run my local REAL grocery store out of business. Oh yes. Now, grocery shopping has become a retail sport, dodging every shopper plus his/her child, spouse, neighbor, child-down-the-street and anyone else who joined them for a trip to the Walmart grocery. Hello! Is there no justice for a person who simply wants to buy groceries and get the heck out of the store? Groceries. That's all I want. I don't want to converse with my fellow shoppers. I just want to buy my overpriced food and get out of there. I don't want to walk all over a football-field-sized warehouse to get my dog food on one side of the store, and then walk all the way to the other side for my regular groceries. I don't want to chat with other shoppers about school/church/ball scores. Paaallllleeeeeasse.
15 minutes of my time WASTED!

The very next day I went to my local Wal-Mart with the recept for the lights and was told that they would not honor the price that I had paid for the others just the day before. The person in customer service said they don't honor comp ads. This wasn't a comp ad it was from a Wal-Mart.
Why does every store get to set differenat prices on the same product? I thought the motto was lowest price around or something.
So because I live and generally shop at a smaller Wal-Mart I have to pay the higher price? When I called the HOT line to complain the rep said each store can set their own price for each product.

No monster deal..it's just that you buy products because of the shelf prices. of all the products I purchased none were lower than the shelf price, only higher but most of us are trusting of such a large company. Now for me that trust is lost. I guess its back to the smaller stores for me.

Went back last week and it looked like the same carts were still lined up with out of order signs on them.
As every one knows the population is getting older. and the senior citizen population is getting larger along with the mobilly challanged, and I guarentee people are going to start shopping at stores that are more concerned for their older and less mobil customers. The straps were worn down by the wheels as he rolled it, right at the buckle site. There is no way to adjust the buckle to keep it away from the wheels. I think this a design flaw. If the buckles on the strap were not at the level of the wheels and higher on the shoulder strap,it might prevent the wearing of the strap.

When I cleaned my fish tank and used the Clear Water, I followed the directions and it killed my Crowntail Male Beta fish. I was distraught, as I thought it was something I had done.
The dojo was just fine, thank goodness, but when I tried to return the Clear Water to Wal-Mart, they told me that I had used it, and I could not return it. Several months ago, my parents visited the Roanoke Rapids SuperWalmart. They purchased several items. As one of the items, was a family pack hamburger carton. The meat was already pre-packaged in one of Walmart's black carton's and sealed with plastic wrap as is customary. My parents kept the meat frozen in a cooler and traveled two hours back to their home.
Just today, it was my turn to visit my parents and guess what, they decided to thaw out that hamburger meat purchased from Walmart. However, upon grilling burgers on the grill (which I did not eat meanly because I did not feel like hamburger) as the last section of the first section of the hamburger was to be tossed on the grill, we noticed something blue, much to our surprise and the disgust to anyone who had eaten burgers already there was a BLUE LATEX GLOVE attached to the remaining hamburger!
Instead of using the styrofoam that usually comes with the hamburger somone had used a blue latex GLOVE. My mother than removed the other section of the hamburger which she HAD NOT COOKED and lo and behold THERE WAS A MATCHING LATEX BLUE GLOVE attached!
I then called the Roanoke Rapids Walmart. Where I spoke to the Associate in the Meat Department (Ashley) who informed me that the Meat Department Manager was not in but that Walmart did not personally package the meat and did not use blue gloves at all BUT That the meat came from a processing plant! She then apologized and understood my concern and instructed that I call the store manager since her manager in the meat department was not in.
I then spoke with Mickey the store manager and was instructed that if my parents brought in the damaged meat, and the latex gloves, and the packaging that Walmart would replace it (how rewarding). Yet, little was said about why the latex glove was found in the meat as I got more of an understanding and knowledgeable response from the meat department. However, upon further questioning about the product, I was informed that if I brought in all of the aforementioned vs just taking the meat back to a local Walmart she could run a check on the packaging and write a report to see if the manufacturer or processing plant would assume liability. I asked her what that would mean for me and she said that since I didn't eat the meat then she could not say but probably nothing.
And although I did not eat the meat, others before seeing the blue glove did eat. Hopefully, PRAYFULLY with no side effects, but I did not think that situation was handled very tactifully or concerning. And while I understand that she did not want to be legally binding, a better customer service approach would have been better warranted and appreciated. Photos minus the meat have been taken but other than that the originial contents have been disgarded with the garbage.

I went to return it today 8/22/08 and was told it had to be returned within 15 days and was shown some fine print on the receipt. I calmly appealed this policy, stating that I was informed otherwise by their sales associate. When I spoke with the manager he told me again that this was their policy and he couldn't change the policy. At this point, I became a little heated and said, obviously his sales associate had already changed the policy by misinforming me, that exceptions could always be made to policies and that sense I was given misinformation they needed to avoid false marketing by taking back the d#$@ GPS.
Bill then looked at me and said, well, I was going to do it for you but since you cussed me I am not going to. I was flustered and asked what I had said that was cursing, he told me I said, d@#! gps and besides, no one was going to talk to him that way in front of his costumers. I said, so you could have done it, made an exception to the policy but you are not going to because I cursed? He said, yes.
I asked to speak to his supervisor. He refused. I said I would wait until they found someone who could talk to me. He said if I didn't leave the store immediately they were going to call the police and have me escorted out of the store. I couldn't quite believe what I was hearing. My husband went in to the store and they confirmed that they wouldn't change the policy since I had become angry and cursed. What recourse do I have?

I took my Amtron Watch in to have the battery changed. I had bought the watch from K-mart on sale for $54.00 in 2006 for a Christmas present to myself. Then the battery went dead sometime around July 2008. The girl behind the jewelry counter took my watch to change the battery. I noticed she was having a hard time getting the back off my watch. She kept making faces and sighing. After about 6-7 minutes, I was starting to get nervous and thought I should tell her never mind, I'll take it back to where I bought it but at that point she got it off. She put the battery in and snapped the back back on. Then she went to set it. She moved away from me and kept messing with the watch. Then she made a face and came back over toward me and put my watch on the counter.
I paid her. Then I picked up my watch and she hadn't set it. So I was going to set it before I left so I could wear my watch. When I went to set it, the stem fell completely out of my watch. It was broke. I told the manager what happened. The manager explained to me that the clerk is suppose to have the customer sign a paper relieving clerk of any responsibility for mishaps (or however she explained that) to watch. She also stated that the clerks are to set your watch before giving it back to you.
Manager then called girl over to talk with her. The clerk said she just popped the battery right in. I said it looked like she was having trouble because it took her a few minutes and she was making faces. The manager took the watch apart and found the stem was broken. She said that was unusual to be broke there. Said you would have had to set and wind it alot of times. I told her I had only set the watch 2 or 3 times since I had bought it and that was because of daylight savings time. I also told her my watch was working last time I set it. She said maybe I could have a jeweler fix it. I took my watch and left. I was very hurt and upset that they dumped me like that.
A week or two later, I went back and asked for the top store manager. They called the manager who was over the jewelry section. I told him the story and he went and got the manager that looked at my watch the first time I was there. The jewelry manager told me he would have to do some research and then get back with me. To this date, I have not heard a word from anyone from Walmart. They just blew me off again. I told her that was ridiculous and the system is rated E for Everyone so there is no problem in her purchasing it. I said I wanted to speak to a manager she said there was not one.
During this time there was about 2-3 customers behind me witnessing this. One of the customers said she would buy the system for me because what was happening was unfair. This is not the first time I have had an issue with customer service at this store. If Wal-Mart is so concerned about 100% cust satisfaction then it should train it's employees to deliver that. Besides making me terribly unhappy, they showed a poor representation of themselves to the customers that were around. Being a Senior citizen and on a really fixed income, I really depend on Wal-mart in Milford, Pa.,to do most of my food shopping. What really bothers me is this: Many times when an item is on sale, with the current price on the shelf, it always rings up at the before the sale price. I have had this happen numerous times. It may say $2.50 but will ring up as maybe $3.98 (for instance). This has happened so many times, I can't keep track. Don't they change their computers accordingly?
I think it is a way for them to sell things at a higher price, and the buyer may not catch it until they are at home and look at their receipt. Believe me, I pay close attention to what is being rung up. So many times I have had to go to customer service and get a refund.
Another gripe I have is this: So many times I go to buy something that I usually buy, only to find out that Wal-mart is no longer selling that item. It's not only food. I went to buy embroidery thread, and they told me they no longer carry this. Where else can I go to find this item? I can't travel too far. It is a real shame. I really feel that Wal-mart is not all that its said to be.
Another complaint is that 3 different frozen foods I went to buy were cut or split open! I guess whoever unpacks these for the freezer is not too careful with the razor blade. When I got home, my ice cream had a big slit cut through the top, letting air into it. With my vision the way it is, I did not notice this until I got home under better light. One good thing I can say, is that the personnel in this store are very friendly and have been helpful.

The 150 row was right above so I assumed it was placed in the wrong row and it was 150. That is what it was marked. Why would I assume any different than the price on the item.
I went to purchase it and was told the 150 was the OLD price I had to pay the NEW price 200. I talked to Terry the manager and she informed me that it does not matter what the item is priced that they do not have to give it to the customer for that price. Their policy is to give you 3 dollars off. Making sure I am understanding her correctly I gave an example. I said if you have a shirt marked 10$ and it scans 15 you will give me 3$ off and i will pay 12$ but will not give me the price you are advertising it as being. She said yes.
According to her there is no law that a store has to give you the item for the price they have marked. It was not like it was a slap sticker that was altered and could have been from another item. I could see that. It was a tag attached to the item with a price sticker from walmart. It is also in a locked case. If this is the case stores can put any price they want on an item and charge what ever they want? does not sound like that could be right.

We can not return it for a full refund because we used a coupon. Meanwhile we are out the $ and Wal-mart gets to keep it in their pocket without providing a working tuner box for over 3 months now. This seems like consumer fraud to provide defective products and not allow to exchange due to insufficient stock. This should have been disclosed prior to purchasing the item. They should have stated we can sell you defective product and you may never be able to exchange it for working product. Buyer beware.
We have been out the funds for the box ~50.00 but have not been able to use it to watch HDTV and have no known date in sight when we may be able to get a working product. We have driven to the store on multiple occasions only to find out that the stock they got in earlier in the day is gone. This is about a 20 min. drive. We have been out a lot of time calling the store and trying to get a working model.

I went grocery shopping on 08/06/2008. The shelves looked like they hadn't been stocked in several days so there were things I couldn't get that I had planned on such as Cains coffee. I also picked up a cantaloupe out of a bin that said $1.99 as the price when I got to the register the cashier never spoke when she rang up the cantaloupe.
I told her that was the wrong price. She said that I had gotten an organic and that it was higher. When I went back to the bin I noticed that there were organics in the bin mixed with the other cantaloupes and I feel this was done on purpose to get people to pick up the organics instead of the cantaloupes onsale. If Walmarts was not the only store that sold Cains coffee I would never go back there.

While at the Brick, NJ Wal-Mart at approximately 6:45pm on Saturday, August 15, I was finished shopping and proceeded to the Express Checkout where the cashier, then scanned all of my items. When it was time to pay, I used my debit card in the machine provided. I then entered my pin and was told by the cashier that my pin was wrong. So I tried again and it say wrong pin again. I could sense something was different with the debit machine this time since I had used it many times before and never had any problems. Here is where it got very embarrassing for me.
With 3 others customers behind me waiting and watching all of this, the cashier told me that "maybe I didn't have enough money to pay for the items". I then told her that now she was insulting and embarrassing me in front of other customers. Her response was "Don't you have a Credit Card you could use?" I do not use credit cards and I don't think it was right for her to suggest that so I told her "No, I don't use credit cards, which is why I am debiting my purchase." She then said "Maybe you hit your limit for the day and that I may have debited too much already." Again, the reason I use my debit card is so that it will be treated as cash.
The last time I checked, I didn't have a limit on my debit purchases since it came directly from my checking account. In addition, I had only charged about $100 that day so I can't imagine I would be over any "phantom" limit she thought existed. I then asked her what I should do since I had a cart full of merchandise and she said "Can you get cash out from the ATM machine?" So I said "I guess, but I don't usually like to use my savings account to pay for things and I hate getting charged for taking out money, which is why I use my Debit card."
So I went and took $40 from the ATM machine and went back to the line where my cart was with the items in it and stood there while I called my bank to make sure my balance was sufficient to cover the purchase that she had told me was denied.
Well, of course, it was as I told her. As I was standing there, I could see she was going to ask me if I wanted to check out, but then when she saw me on my phone, I saw her make a gesture with her hand and then say "oh, forget it, he is on the phone anyway." At this point, I debated just leaving or going to a manager right away, but I had my baby's formula in my cart and needed to get home so I could feed him so I just stood there and waited as she took other customers in front of me. Finally, after 4 or 5 other customers were checked out, she finally re-scanned my receipt and checked me out and I had to pay her with the cash I had to take out of the ATM machine.
While there was only minimal economic damage (i.e. fee for ATM withdrawal) being a resident in Brick and a loyal customer to Wal-Mart, I was very embarrassed and insulted that this woman would say those things and treat me like that front of other customers. Telling someone and all the people around them that they can't afford something because they are either incompetent or their machines are is unacceptable and slanderous in my opinion and caused me some mental damage of people will perceive me. I give a lot of business to Wal-Mart for both personal and business use, but this experience made me think twice about where my money goes and what I will tell people about my experience.

I was sick for 6 weeks and ran up doctor's bills of over $1000, $500 of which I had to pay! One of the doctors finally told me I had developed a severe bronchial and sinus infection while at Wal-Mart. Could it have been from the contamination from the shoes from China? One of the doctors told me "yes." I lost my job, built up doctor's bill which I am still paying on, lost weight, had no energy, could not get another job anywhere else as I was too sick to work, needed bed rest for a month, and only added to our financial problems.

Recently I took some photos of my granddaughter to Walmart. I wanted to make extra copies. After waiting for 15 minuts for the Kodak photo center to process my order I took it up to the girl to pay for it. She proceeds to tell me that she can not sell them to me. There are copyright laws and the pictures of my granddaughter were done in a photography studio. I could not have the pictures. I wanted her to show me how she know this. Was there a different number on the back of the photo or was there a name of the studio on the back? Of course she was clueless on that subject. She did say that they looked like they came from a digital camera and I asked her how did the photographer have a couch and flags in his studio.
One of the pictures was of my son being swore into the Army. She refused to give me the pictures. We discussed this matter with one of the customer service managers, and he stated they can not develop the pictures because of copyright laws. Of course I asked where in the store is this copyright issue posted. He had no clue, but I could take the photos to Kinko and have them developed. Then of course I told him that Walmart needed to education their employees better on what is a professional photograph, and of course his employees need to lose their attitude. Their clerk really needed an attitude correction. Needless to say we have nothing to show for our adventure but frustration and no pictures.

I had the worst customer experience in my entire life at the Wal-Mart location at Keeamoku Street in Honolulu, Hawaii. I firmly believe that I was mistreated by one of [their] employees. I left your store angry, in tears, and had injured and bloody toe caused by your employees.
I returned a SpotBot Cleaner, which I had purchased for my mother as a gift, to the Wal-Mart located on 750 Keeamoku Street in Honolulu, Hawaii today at about 5:30 pm (but did not have the receipt) because the item was not working properly. At the Customer Service counter, the clerk who helped me said that she needed approval from her manager first. Her manager then came and called someone from the Houseware Department to check the device. The Houseware Department employee checked out the SpotBot and confirmed that the product was defective. Then, a different supervisor came and told me that because I did not have the receipt and the product was over $100, she could only give me an even exchange for the same product. She told me to get the SpotBot myself and a clerk would be able to finish the transaction at the Customer Service counter.
As I carried the 20- pound cleaner by myself back to the Customer Service counter, I realized that I really did not want another poor quality SpotBot vacuum cleaner (which I had invested $141) that will probably be defective or break down. As I was waiting at the Customer Service counter to finish the transaction for the exchange of the products, a Wal-Mart employee accidentally dropped her heavy, 12-inch two-way radio on my toe, which was excruciating in pain and caused my toe to bleed and made me cry. She was apologetic about dropping the radio on my toe, but by then I was quite frustrated with the situation of having to lug back a product that I no longer wanted-- by myself-- wait in line again, and then have my toe injured by a Wal-Mart employee. The associate understood the situation, and proceeded to give me merchandise credit instead of the same product.
However, her manager came and disapproved the merchandise credit. The manager said that because I did not have a receipt, I needed to sit and wait while Wal-Mart security looked through one month worth of security video film, to make sure that I did not steal the SpotBot cleaner from the store, and that I had actually purchased it from the Keamoku location. I was very angry that although the manager knew that an employee had dropped her large two-way radio on my toe (and my toe was bleeding) she failed to acknowledge the situation. The manager did not apologize or ask me if I wanted to take any action against this situation. Instead, she aggressively instructed the clerks that I needed to wait until security searched all the film.
After being accused of stealing the SpotBot because I did not have a receipt, I was frustrated and requested to speak with upper management. The Assistant Store Manager handled the situation great. Only after I explained the situation to the Assistant Store Manager, did I receive an apology for the toe injury. The Assistant Manager listened and gave me merchandise credit. Although the Assistant Manager asked me if I wanted to write up the incident, I declined, with the rational that my toe may hurt only for a week or so and that it was just an accident. I was much more angry and frustrated with the rude and completely unprofessional manager who accused me of stealing a 20-pound vacuum cleaner.
Unfortunatly, I left the store distraught and disgusted and did not take down the names of the employees who were helping me. Never in my entire life have I experienced that type of degrading and poor customer service. Although I was granted merchandise credit for the defective item, I had such an aweful experience, that I will most likely give away the merchandise credit no longer shop at this location. I firmly believe that the customer service at Wal-mart in Honolulu, Hawaii needs much improvement.

By late Monday night I realized that there was a problem and was told by technical support to return to the vendor. I did so Tuesday morning (8/13) only to be told about the problem with the serial number.
The Asst. Manager insist that I was attempting to return merchandise not purchased at their store. I have been a Wal-Mart shopper for years....lately I have been very disappointed in the employees (including managers) customer service skills....I have decided I will no longer be a Wal-Mart shopper...The last 4-5 visists have not gone well. It first started with a fishing pole I purchased for my husband...the reel on the pole locked up after a weeks use. I didn't keep the receipt and all we wanted to do was exchange it. They didn't want to...so we got the manager involved....then when we brought the exchange back to the counter they acted like they didn't know what was going on...and we had to get the manager involved again. this took about 2 hours.
My other complaint is we have two Wal-Marts in our town. The newer one does not have as much selection as the older one. The newer one is closer to my home. And the newer one is always running low on stock. Another complaint, my husband needed tires on his vehicle so of course we chose wal-mart...While his vehicle was getting new tires, he did some grocery shopping....Paid for the tires (over $300.00) and paid for the groceries at two separate cash registers, got home and noticed he was missing a bag of groceries. The next time we visisted Wal-Mart we presented them with the receipt with the items we did not get highlighted on the receipt....They would not honor it.
They asked the cashier if she remembered my husband and she said yes and then they ask her if she remembered if he got all his bags. Well, of course she is going to say yes. I said that's it? You can't pull the tapes? Then the manager I spoke to said that they could not pull the tapes....and proceeded to tell me how some lady tried to make off with a cart full of groceries without paying for them. I said that doesn't have anything to do with our case...we spent over 300.00 in tires and 75.00 in groceries today. I'm not trying to steal anything...
My last and final visit from Wal-Mart was Sunday...My husband and I decided to motorcycle riding....the weather was cooler than what we expected, stopped in Wal-Mart to buy sweatshirts. They had a rack of hoodies marked $10.00. So we each picked one and headed to the cashier. She rang one up and it came up $12.00..I brought it to her attention that it was hanging on a rack marked 10.00....She said I have to charge you what it's ringing up. I said no, you will charge me what is advertised on the sign. She said show me. I walked her over to the rack and showed her. Then she called her manager over to her register and said I was claiming these shirts were hanging on a rack marked 10.00...how rude.....I proved it to her! I held my tongue...Anyway then I had to walk the manager over to the rack and show her....The manager shrugged her shoulders, sighed and said Well I guess you can have it Does that make you happy?
I was appalled! I told her it wasn't my problem someone put the wrong sign up and if they didn't want to honor the price they should remove the sign. I also told her they needed to work on their customer service skills. But we got the hoodies for 10.00...And I'm not going to shop Wal-Mart again. And a friend of mine says the 10.00 sign is still in place..

I was trying to cook some fries for my daughter in a wok that was manufactured by Columbian Home Products. I had the wok on the front burner when I noticed that it was starting to smoke slightly, so I moved to the back burner that wasn't on. In doing so, the wok's handle malfunctioned which caused it to twist off center...spilling a bit of cooking oil on the front burner...causing a small fire. I then moved the wok off the stove onto the counter in fear that the fire would spread to the wok. When I did the wok handle twisted a second time causing the hot oil to cover the top of my hand.
My brother, who was also injured, purchased this wok from Wal-Mart less than a year ago as a gift for his wife. After being injured and treated I started my search for legal representation, I also started researching the wok manufacturer. I went to Wal-Mart to see if the still had the wok, so I could get the part number. I was shocked to find that the wok (same manufacturer) was still being sold, but the handle was redesigned.
I received 2nd degree burns to 90% of the top of my hand. I was prescribed pain medication and burn cream. I can't work, write, and my daughter doesn't even want to look at my hand.

This same incident happens each time I go to Wal-Mart. As I am walking to the store, I notice two large women loading their car with groceries. I am sure this took a great deal of time to shop for as much as they had. After shopping, I returned to my car, and notice that their carts were still there. This wouldn't bother me but why are they continually allowed to park in the spaces for "pregnant women". I do not know of one Dr. that doesn't suggest that a preganat woman walk for her health. Further more, this is being abused by the wrong people, with no follow up by Wal Mart. Why not make these spaces into more wheel chair parking as there is never enough of and those are the people that truly need to be close to the entrance. Wal Mart is not buyer/consumer friendly when it comes to enforcement.
Also while shopping, I noticed that the entire first section of the cookies are now all Mexican cookies written in Spanish....if these people are here they need to speak and read English. Why do you cater to and put their products first when we are in America? Sadly, I must say that I enjoy shopping much more at Target! Wal Mart has driven me away themselves.

I was trying to purchase a swing set for my grandson and after standing for 45 minutes in the toy department, watching several employees walk by us, look at us and walk away, talked to employees in the electronic department to get someone to help us, of course nothing came out of that either, finally I went and asked for the store manager to meet me in the aisle I was waiting in, waited another 20 minutes, no one came, then the employee responsible for this department walked by us, stood not 6 feet from us, looked at us, and before I could even ask for help walked away.
Finally, being so frustrated I went to the service desk and requested to talk to the store manager, the employees in the customer service dept wanted to know if some supervisor that was standing around with the rest of them chit chatting could help, I said NO, I want to talk to your manager. Again, I had to walk another 40 feet for her to find out if the store manager was even there, of course not, the assistant store manager was there so she requested he come to the service desk for a customer issue. Not five minutes later he called back and wanted to know if I could wait about 10 minutes he had something else to do. That did it, I said no thank you.
So finally after wasting several hours just to purchase a simple swing set for my grandson for his birthday I walked out frustrated, furious and disappointed. To think that I actually wanted to work for this corporation, what a joke! Walmart's customer service is nonexistent, rude, and very unprofessional. I will never shop at another Walmart and will encourage all friends and family to go to Kmart where I finally ending up, was treated with upmost respect, fast service and believe it or not a lower price for a better product.
I was in and out of Kmart within 20 minutes accompanied by my grandson's birthday present a pleasant experience and will rave about their customer service from now on. Walmart should be ashamed, what a great loss for consumers!

I've NEVER, in my entire life, been so DISSATISFIED with the service at a Wal-Mart. I purchased a dining set from the O'fallon Walmart Supercenter. When I opened it to assemble it, I found tons of metal pieces in the box that didn't go to anything. It was like someone had taken the table out, put in some metal pieces that they had lying around the house, hot glued the box shut and took it back to Wal-Mart and got their money back. Unfortunately, as I understand it, the Wal-Mart policy was not followed ( Checking inside all returned merchandise especially boxes), and I was the lucky individual to have purchased someone else's mistake.
I don't live in O'fallon. It's actually a half hour drive for me to go there. With today's gas prices, anyone could see why I wouldn't want to drive back to O'fallon when there's a Wal-Mart where I live. So, I struggled with the box to get it onto a truck, and proceeded to return it, with my reciept, to the Granite City Wal-Mart Store. An associate name Shari was working at the service desk and was more than happy to help us with our problem. She called the assistant manager to ask what she should do, and a man Shane came up to us, and told us that we would have to take the "merchandise" back to the O'Fallon Walmart. I understood his reasoning for not exchanging the item. For one, they didn't have any of the tables that I had originally tried to purchase, and two, it wasn't their mistake, and they couldn't take a loss for another store.
I've worked in retail most of my life. At any time, we would return any damaged merchandise, no matter which location the merchandise was purchased, and call the store to ask for a reimbursement for the loss, which went to our corporate offices to be handled anyway. Shane informed me that he talked to his manager and she said that those were the measures to be taken. Later I found out that Shane had NOT talked to the manager Aimee. I was becoming very frustrated after learning that Shane had lied to us about speaking with his manager, and having waited 35 minutes for Aimee to come up to the service desk after being called 5 times over the intercom. She informed us of the same procedures that needed to be taken, which I was fine with.
What I couldn't understand was, if I had purchased the same dining set in Indiana, or Florida for that matter, would I have to drive to either one of those states, just to return merchandise? I don't think so. Before even calling any of the other stores or even calling the O'Fallon Wal-Mart to ask if they would reimburse the store for the loss, she just told us that she couldn't take it back, and that she didn't know what else to tell us. She was very rude and disrespectful. She even stated that, she could call the O'fallon store to ask if they would reimburse her, but she didn't know if they would or not.
I'm fine with the fact that they didn't want to take damaged merchandise from another store. I understand that. But to completely refuse to do so even if having purchased it from, for example, another state, not accepting the damaged merchandise, is unheard of. I've returned numerous things from different walmarts, and have never had a problem before. I wasn't looking for a refund, I just wanted to exchange the product, and if not, I should have been entitled to a refund simply because I had my reciept and they did not have the merchandise I needed to exchange it with. Instead, I was treated as if it didn't matter what I said, I was still wrong, the associates were still right, and they wanted to get me out of the store as soon as possible, so they didn't have to " deal " with me any longer. Like I said, I wasn't trying to get my money back, but I think that if they didn't have the merchandise that I wanted to exchange for, I should have recieved my money back, regardless of which store it came from.
I was driving a very large truck that is not efficient on gas to say the least because the product would not fit in my car. The last thing I wanted to do was to drive half an hour or MORE out of the way just to return a product, that, if it hadn't been for an error on Wal-Mart's part, I shouldn't have even been returning in the first place. I most DEFINITELY shouldn't have been treated as though I was unimportant, and that my issue wasn't of importance either. I should not have had to wait more than five minutes to speak to a manager. I should not have been lied to by the assitant manager. I should NOT have had to drive to a different store over half an hour out of my way, just to return a product that could have been returned at any Wal-Mart. I should NOT have had to have someone of a superior status in the store, speak to me in a rude, disrespectful tone, while I was patient enough to wait for 35 minutes to even speak with her, after she was paged over the intercom five times. We should not have been "shown the door" after my father said he would never shop at Wal-Mart again, if this was the kind of service they took pride in. Aimee should have tried to be a little more courteous. She should have tried to help us with our problem, rather than try to pawn it off on another store. She should have called the O'Fallon store to ask if they would reimburse her for the loss before telling me that she wouldn't return the product or refund me the money that I paid because it "wasn't her store's loss".
I have NEVER been so dissatisfied with customer service in my life.

After making grocery purchase I notice when I got home that I was missing a few items. When I returned to the store for the missing items the cashier gave me my book purchase and said that I needed to go to customer service for the other bags that she logged in the book. I go to customer service and had to wait for almost an hour to retrieve my bags. The cashier named Steven could not find the log book nor my purchases. The original cashier was called and she show Steven the log-in book as she retrieve my bags.
Steven explain that people make mistakes. Upon gathering my bags and leaving I heard Steven say to the customer next in line that people make mistakes like her mama made a mistake. I have never been so humiliated in my entire life. I found the security guard and explain what was said to him and he said that he would question Steven about it.
All I know is that I will never shop at that particular store again. And there should be repercussion regarding customer service relations for those inconsiderate employees. Public humilation

Then when I called back she just started hanging up the phone. Wal-mart knows people have become so dependent on it guess customer service means nothing to them now.

I tryed to use it anyway and it would not work. I called Renee (Assit Manager With Walmart) and she was very disrespectful and stated she could only allow me to return the computer or refund my money. I told her that I live about Thiry miles away from Walmart and gas is very expensive and she state Sorry ( in a Sarcastic Tone).
I went back to Walmart that night and argued with her for thirty minutes then she finally said give him a 20 dollar gift card and walked off. I took my refund and gave them the gift card and left. I lost four hours and gas because the computer was put on the shelfe after being returned. They should acknowlege their mistakes and make them right without wasting all your time.

I told her I was concerned about getting double charged, but she assured me it wouldn't happen, as the transaction was voided. However, I was double charged.
Walmart is telling me I must wait 7-10 business days for the money to be electronically put back on my card, during which time I have no money. My bank said that walmart recieved their funds and has no reason to not give us a cash refund. However, walmart is refusing to do that ans just giving us an oh well attitude. Why should I have to pay for their mistake?
I have no money and 2 weeks till another payday. Meanwhile, walmart is $350 richer off an item they didn't sell.

I purchased three (3) sets of faux wood 1.5 inch , 72"X 74" blinds on March 21.08 from The WalMart store in Ruston Louisiana. Shortly thereafter, I got sick with lower back pain and eventually went in for surgery,April 18, 08. I had a type of female hernia. I was not released from the doctor until 5-31 with orders not to lift anything over 10 lbs for several more weeks and then not over 20 lbs.
The later part of June, I had my daughter help me with the blinds only to find out they were too wide. I brought the blinds to the store in Farmerville because it was closer. I loaded the heavy blinds in my car and unloaded them at the store. After 30 minutes of them cheking and rechecking the bar code on the boxes they did consent that I had purchased the blinds from a Wal Mart store, but not theirs. I had given them the receipt where I had purchased them in the first place. They talked checked some more, supposedly alled the manager at Ruston Wal Mart and then told me it had been over threee months from purchase date and the manager at the Ruston Wal Mart also agreed I could not get my money back.
I left and reloaded those blinds in my car and called the Walmart store in Ruston. The manager was on vacation and had not been there to speak to anyone. I understand the policy, but at least give me the courtesy of a consumer who frequents their store weekly. I do over $ 3000. yearly in prescriptions. I will call the Ruston Store Monday when the manager returns to work. I either want my money back or a credit for the store. I willl move all of my prescriptions from Farmerville Store.
Also they cannot keep the pharmacy open because of personnel problems, nor can they keep help. Every time I go in there there are new people who do not know the store. I think managment is the problem with customer relations and with employee turn over. There was a sign needing 4 people to work taped on the employment computer. There are 4 Wal Mart stores in the surrounding area and each one is laid out differently. I want my unusual illness to be a factor in the three month refund policy.
I want a refund of my money $ 57.00 per blind and tax or a credit. It does not make me any difference. I am 66 years old, I am disabled to work and have been since 2003 after a bad fall on my job resulting from severe injury. I worked at the Judges office. my work experience has taught me policy is a good thing, but circumstances surrounding the policy is suppose to make a differnce. As I said I want a credit or my money back, I have the receipt where I paid for them. Thank You,

My husband and I went into Wal-Mart today to get our shopping done and buy a few odds and ends. On the way to the register we picked up some World of Warcraft game cards that we collect because they were marked at $3.97, thinking that was a great deal, we picked up two packs. When we got to the register though they rang up for $9.97. When we mentioned it to the very unfriendly cashier, Julia, she went to check the price and didn't return for about 3-5 minutes. In that time, we had time to read their policy on the register that clearly states if a product rings up for a different price than is on the shelf then we get it for the price that it is advertised for.
Well, she came back and told us that $9.97 was the correct price and that the vendors put the stuff up on the shelves so it's not their fault and too bad pretty much. We pointed out the policy and she shrugged and said she couldn't give us that price and offered to take the items off our transaction. Then she finished scanning up our items and rudely gave the receipt to my husband. Since there was a long line, we waited until after we paid to contact a manager.
We saw a manager (his nametag said he was the manager for the eyeglasses place but I didn't catch his name unfortunately) immediately after we paid for our items and pulled him aside to hopefully get the situation resolved. He asked my husband to show him where the product was and when he got over there the price had already been peeled off (by the cashier, presumably). I just wrote to Wal-Mart about it though I'm not really expecting any response to it nor do I think there's much else I can do. But I'm upset that they have policies clearly posted but don't hold up to them. Had we not been paying attention we would have paid $12 more than we were expecting to pay for a couple decks of trading cards.
The only economic damage will be that my husband and I will be shopping at a different store from now on even if it's less convenient to drive a few more miles so it's going to be more gas use for us and less money for Wal-Mart.

After finding a listing for Farmer's Markets in the area, I called the person who sets this up. He stated that he had lost all of his locations that had been in the WalMart parking lots because they sell produce and they do not want the Farmer's Markets there. I know some will say this is 'just business' but WalMart professes to help the economy. I am now a former shopper of WalMart.
WalMart is hurting the local economy by denying the farmers a place to sell their fresh produce from their PARKING LOT. Had they allowed the markets, this would potentially bring in customers needing incidentals who would otherwise not use their store(s).

I went to the local Wal-Mart Supercenter to develop pictures at the Kodak kiosk as I have at least 4 times in the past. I verified over 10 of the over 200 pictures, that I took from 2 digital cameras with similar aspect ratios, to assure that the red box outlined the entire portion of the pictures--which it did on all 10+. Once I completed my sampling verification, I selected all of the images and printed them--about 2/3's were 1x1.5's and the other 1/3 were 2x3's.
After taking the 82 4x6 sheets of pictures home and cutting them (as Wal-Mart does not cut them for you), I found that 27 sheets had heads, arms, and legs of the people in the pictures cut off. Since this has happened to me before and it was not an issue returning and recreating the pictures until they were correct, I went back to Wal-Mart to do the same once again. Unfortunately, I do not have other relative (in the same area and at a similar cost) picture processing/printing options available to me in the same area. Otherwise, I would have not returned to Wal-Mart after the first instance of this because my time is more valuable to me than what it has been taking to correctly develop these pictures at Wal-Mart.
Upon returning the pictures a lady named Teri, in the photo department, was very rude to me. After honestly informing her that I verified a sampling of the pictures to assure that they would print without cutting important parts of the pictures off because I do not wish to take the time to verify every picture and do not feel that I should have to as the Kodak software should be selecting the whole picture for me, she insisted that I need to do this and began raising her tone to me and speaking down to me as if I am an idiot. I could not believe that I was being treated like this by someone that - to my knowledge - should be helping me.
So, I continued to tell Teri that I have encountered this issue before and asked her if Wal-Mart had any other printing options that might be better for my needs. She continued to raise her tone and insisted, at least 3 more times, that I need to make sure to check every picture before I print them. Another important note here: The Kodak kiosk allows someone to select all of their pictures (one button) and print all of their pictures (two more buttons--one to confirm the order) in 3 button clicks.
Why would the kiosk allow one to select and print all of their pictures if it was not meant to quickly print a large amount of pictures? All in all, Teri had to walk me up to the customer service return counter because she did not know and, admittedly, was scared (it seemed that she was not sure if she would get in trouble for doing so) to refund my money to me. I feel that Teri could have handled the situation much better and I feel that Wal-Mart should not strike fear into its employees for something so ... quite frankly ... lame.
I am very upset and am considering how my family can avoid purchasing another item at Wal-Mart going forward.

The power adapter was also missing (although the manuals were there). Since it was in the original sealed package, I didn't think it was necessary to inspect it. Upon discovery, I immediately returned to the store. The manager was out, and the asst. manager (after reviewing their security tapes and finding nothing) didn't want to do anything.
I'm waiting for the manager to make a decision. If it's not to my satisfaction, I will involve the police and may pursue a civil action against Wal-Mart for fraud and misrepresentation.

Yoyo pricing is a fact of life at the Wal-Mart in Cedar Falls, Iowa. My reason for sending a complaint is that customer service can't do anything about quality, selection, availability, or pricing; only to give your money back if dissatisfied; a poor, but efficient way for them and mostly inefficient for me. I may not want to drive out of my way to shop there, again.
Yesterday, I bought Philadelphia Cream Cheese, not needing any till next week. The price was .99 cents, a popular promotional price at Wal-Mart. Looking over my sales slip when I got home only to find a charge for $1.83. You'd think with a new Target being built next across the street, that they would pay a bit more attention to their current customers!
Price switching! Rip-off! Costly adjustment remedy.

Also the beautiful tiles walls are splashed with the dirty mop water. It was absolutely repulsive.
This is a beautiful new Super Center, and it's an absolute shame that the management is letting the employees get by with such terrible neglect in doing their duty. If they don't want to clean, then they shouldn't hire on in that position. ALL POSITIONS should be filled with people that take pride in their jobs, even if it means they are mopping floors, cleaning toilets, etc. Please send someone to correct the situation before the Health Dept. sees this mess.

My sister wanted to register at Wal-Mart for gifts for her upcoming baby shower. We decided to go to this particular store since we had been out shopping on that side of town and it was close by. We go in and go to the jewelry department to start doing the registry. After my sister finished keying her info into the kiosk she went up to the counter to get a scanner. She was told that they had ONE registry scanner for the entire store! And this is for the Baby Registry, Wedding registry and new home registry!
A few seconds later my sister turned to me and asked if I had brought my ID since she had forgotten hers. I asked the associate why ID was needed to register for gifts. She said it was "their policy" and she had to keep the ID until the scanner was brought back to the counter. Now we had just been to both Babies R' Us and Target, and registered(with the same type of scanners, I might add) and had not had anyone request to "keep" or even SEE my ID. I have never in my life heard of this kind of policy in ANY store. So I told her fine I would give her my ID when the scanner became available. We decided we would wait a few minutes to see if the other customer would be done soon.
About 15 minutes later the young lady returns the scanner. IT HAD QUIT IN THE MIDDLE OF HER REGISTERING! Of course the jewelry associates didn't know how to fix it. One of them even called a manager who refused to even come and look at it. Overall I felt kind of offended by this whole experience. Why on earth would I want to steal a store scanner? We just came in to register for gifts, we are NOT thieves. There is NOTHING in Wal-Mart that I can't afford to pay for.
