    I ordered a jewelry gift for Christmas and when I did not receive it or any updates after Christmas I dug around on their website to find a customer service #. Not easy to find. When I called, they told me the order was canceled. They never notified me, and they said it was not available. They let me place the order but it was not available then either. What?? Terrible way to treat their customers!

    I am in the store and need to use the bathroom so I walk through a doorway where I think there might be one and I am wrong. It is just a back room so I walk out and an employee asks what I am looking for. I explain I am trying to find the bathroom and she tells me it is upstairs. I start walking to the escalator and I overhear one of her co workers talking bad about me saying stuff to the extent of I am so stupid I can't find the bathroom. I am appalled to be hearing this as this store is supposed to be luxury with good customer service. This is for the Neiman Marcus in the South Park shopping mall in Charlotte.

    I purchased 2 items online, and a month later and countless attempts for an update, shows it was delivered. I reached out many times to resolve the issue with customer service, to no avail. Needless to say, I filed a dispute with PayPal who ruled in their favor because they supplied a China-based website showing it was delivered. I even supplied camera footage showing no deliveries on the date listed. Avoid this place unless you want to be out money.

    Updated on 12/10/2025: Do not buy anything in Neiman Marcus! Very very bad company, scammers! Thief! Don’t trust their gift cards! They can steal your money and give it to anyone they wants! I got a gift cards from friends and when I use them and they refused all the money back to the original credit card holder! Neiman Marcus not refund back to my account! And they bullshit to me for 4 months saying doing the investigation! I asked them there is any police report for stolen property or court orders related to the gift cards! They can’t even give me a straight answer! I asked them what’s is gift card means? I told them the gift cards is belong to me and that’s my money my property! Without a court order or police report related to a claim no one can take from me! Neiman Marcus Is scammers and Thief! Don’t trust them at anything.

    I called Neiman Marcus again today and the manager told me the money already refund back in my gift cards! I just checked and the gift cards balance is 0! Neiman Marcus Stole $12,154 dollars from me! I will call them again tomorrow if they don’t give me back my money and I will start a legal action to against Neiman Marcus! Again don’t buy anything from them! Don’t trust the gift cards from Neiman Marcus!

    Original Review: Do not buy your gift and your gift card from Neiman Marcus, they stole my money of ($12,154 dollars) on my gift cards. I will start a legal action to against them for my money back, very bad company. I try to get a manager to solve my issue with them and they say nothing they can do about it, because they already refused the money back to the original payment holder.

    I asked them, "Why are you refunding to the original payment holder?" I told them the gift card is belong to me, is my money and property. Who else do they refund to is stolen from me. Except those gift cards related to a claim, or stolen item, or stolen from the original payment. Other than that, all those gift cards is my property. They can’t even give me a straight answer. I will start a legal action against them to get my money back from court. Neiman Marcus sucks! Do not buy anything there because they are thieves.

    SCAMMERS. THEY SHIP YOU EMPTY BOXES AND WON'T REFUND YOU. I purchased a David Yurman bracelet as a Christmas present and a Fedex box arrived but with no bracelet in it. I immediately hopped on a chat with their customer service team to report it, sent video and picture proof that the box did not have the $500 bracelet in it. Four days later I receive an email saying my claim has been denied and they will not refund me. I call customer service back, speak to a q manager and she tells me there is nothing I can do nor her and the department that deals with the claims is not reachable from the customer service team. They stole my money and customer service won't do anything about it. Apparently this is common if you look through reviews. Don’t shop from them, they steal from their consumers.

    I have purchased most of my Christmas gifts at NM for the past few years. I don’t mind spending a little more during the holidays because the presentation has always been exceptional. For an $8.00 gift-wrap fee, the iconic silver box with the NM branding, the beautiful wide ribbon (silver or bright Christmas red), and the metallic NM plate braided through the ribbon make the gifts look glamorous and impressive. It also saves me from wrapping everything myself. Everyone loves receiving a gift from NM.

    That’s why I was shocked and very disappointed when I opened my order of five gift-wrapped items ($40.00 total for gift wrapping alone) meant for my adult children and granddaughters. Instead of the traditional presentation, I received five off-white boxes with thin blue hair-like ribbons tied on. I truly could not believe it.

    Now I have to drive all the way to the store and walk through the riff-raff constantly loitering around the entrance just to have them re-wrapped to the standard expected from NM and to the standard I paid for with the $8.00 wrap fee. It feels like a waste of time and money, and like always, I feel uneasy going to that location. I hope management addresses this, as the quality of the gift wrapping is one of the main reasons I choose NM during the holidays.

    The words online shopping experience, I've placed orders and had to cancel because the shipping delay is ridiculous. Called CS on multiple orders, asking the status of my order all they say is YOUR ORDER IS BEING PROCESS. Really after the weeks it's still being processed? Worse worse worse place to order from!!!!

    Neiman Marcus really missed the mark here. I received an email at 12:09 saying a purse I’ve been watching was on sale. I clicked the link right at 12:09 and it was already out of stock. I kept checking throughout the day hoping it would come back. Five hours later it did, but now it was back to full price. If you search the purse on Google it still shows as a sale item, but when you open the link the price jumps to regular price again. It feels misleading and honestly comes off as dishonest advertising.

    "Gifts" don't count as gifts. At least, that's what I was told by the multiple representatives that I spoke to both in chat as well as over the phone. I was purchasing Thank You gifts and Holiday gifts for a company to send out to other professionals. When you're spending $90+ on each gift, you would expect that it would maintain a certain level of professionalism and basic decorum in mind. Unfortunately, the first item we tried to purchase, a chocolate Gift Tower (literal name) was bought only to find out you cannot add a Gift Message OR prevent them from sending a receipt. Imagine, sending a company a thank you or holiday gift, and having the receipt there showing how much you spent on the item... and NO idea where it came from.

    I spent a literal hour crafting a 15 word message (What kind of company only allows for 15 words for a message?!) to attach to the gift with the representative, because they didn't even know how long the message could be or if the system would even accept it. I then spent another 30 minutes on the phone trying to make sure that the receipt would not be attached. I was told the following :

    1. I should have selected a gift option. - When I told them one wasn't available, they would check the item and say "Oh, I suppose not!"
    2. When I explained that since it is a "Gift Tower" being gifted to a company, we want to make sure that no pricing information is visible. i.e. no receipt - They explained that wasn't possible because somebody might want to return the item.

    3. I then told them that even WALMART and Amazon offer Gift Receipts, and when the representative had nothing to say I also pointed out that as it is a food item it's not eligible for return anyways!

    Needless to say, we are going to Bloomingdales for our gift purchases in the future.

    A few days ago, I saw that Neiman Marcus was having a sale — Spend $500 and receive a small gift set plus a gift card. It was pretty tempting, so I placed an order for several La Mer sets. But after checking out, the free gift set was shown as canceled. I contacted customer service, and they told me the La Mer gift set was unavailable and asked if they could replace it with a La Prairie set. I gladly agreed. But when the package arrived, the La Prairie gift set we had agreed on wasn’t included. So I went back to customer service to sort it out.

    Guess what? The agent said they had never told me about sending a replacement. I said I had screenshots as proof, and she asked me to send them evidence — well, I did. After waiting a long time, she finally replied saying, “Sorry, our policy does not allow for replacements in this case.” Well, if they can’t honor their own offers, they shouldn’t make them in the first place. Honestly, I feel like telling the whole world how good they are at going back on their word. They deserve Zero!

    Do not buy from Neiman Marcus online - - beware!!!! This is the first review I have ever written, but I am really angry and feel used. I recently purchased a dress for $395 + tax. This dress came stained and ripped. Two days later, I filled out a return form online and noted that the dress was defective (a drop down option on the form) and returned via fedEx a few days later. Soon after, I received the dress back with a letter stating the dress was worn - maybe but not by me - and would not be accepted for refund.

    I called customer service and after being bounced around to several people and on the phone for a total of 2.5 hours I was offered 10% of the cost of the dress but a full refund was not approved. I declined the 10% refund on principle. And, they claimed there was no one more senior to discuss to appeal to. Finally, I was hung up on! This is unacceptable customer service. Not only does they seem to have no problem sending defective merchandise, but then create a scam to make you pay for it with no recourse.

    This complaint is in reference to a recent purchase made on October 9, 2025 from Neiman Marcus, Tampa, Florida. The purchase includes an Emporio Armani suit, Stefano Ricci shirt, and Stefano Ricci Tie, for the total of $2,975.00, plus sales tax. As per the salesperson "these items can be altered at the store for the proper fit.” Upon his recommendation, I proceeded with the purchase and the required alterations.

    The items were promised for pick up on the 21st of October, however, the alterations were not completed properly. The shirt sleeves and jacket sleeves were both different lengths. The salesperson asked for two hours to have the issues resolved. After giving them the requested time, the issues were still not resolved and more defects were found on the merchandise. Both pant seams do not fall in the middle (it is off-centered, indicating that it was not altered properly). The Stefano Ricci shirt has visible pinholes in both of the sleeves. And furthermore, there is also a hole on the cuff of the sleeve from all of the attempts to shorten the sleeves properly. I’ve reached out numerous times to try to resolve this issue, but I have not received any helpful response or follow-up.

    Given the poor quality of the alterations, lack of communication, and the fact that the items cannot be used for their intended purpose, I am requesting a full refund for the total purchase. The communication from the management at Neiman Marcus has been very dismissive and they are not doing their due diligence to correct their mistakes. I did not receive what I purchased and I have been more than understanding and patient with allowing the store the opportunity to correct the issues. Very disappointed. Brand recognition, customer service and accountability is of no more.

    Am writing to formally report an unpleasant experience I had at your White Plains, NY location (2 Maple Ave). The manager on duty, Trish, was extremely rude and unprofessional during my visit. I visited the store to return an item that still had the tag attached, although I did not have the receipt. I politely asked whether there was an instance where customer service could verify the purchase. Instead of providing any assistance, Trish responded harshly, saying, “You can do whatever you want to do,” in a dismissive tone.

    Throughout our interaction, she continued to interrupt me, raise her voice, and speak over me as I tried to explain myself. When I asked for her name to file a report, she refused to give it. I had to obtain her name from another employee. This experience left me feeling disrespected and humiliated. I have always associated Neiman Marcus with professionalism and exceptional customer service, which makes this encounter especially disappointing. I hope this matter is reviewed and addressed appropriately to ensure that no other customer has to experience similar treatment.

    On March 27th, I sustained an injury from a top that had been altered by Neiman Marcus alterations department. A large sewing pin had been left inside the garment, and when I zipped it up, it cut my rib cage and hands. I returned to the store to report the incident and was treated poorly by the associate who assisted me. I requested a call from a store manager that day but never received one. Since then, I have visited the store several times and made approximately five follow-up calls, each time being told that no manager was available.

    I finally received a call from a manager. Unfortunately, the conversation was extremely disappointing. The manager repeatedly mispronounced my name, was combative, and displayed an unprofessional tone throughout. When I expressed that I was uncomfortable with how she was addressing me and mishandling the issue, she accused me of being “aggressive” — a characterization that I found particularly offensive as a ** woman. When I calmly addressed how inappropriate that comment was, she became dismissive and ultimately hung up on me without resolving the matter.

    This experience has been both distressing and unacceptable. I have shown great patience, but I should not have to endure being injured, disrespected, and then dismissed. I ask that this matter be reviewed promptly and that I be contacted directly by a senior manager or corporate representative. The operations manager Julian was very rude as well, lied multiple times on the phone call and told me there was no incident report. When I told her that I told them I was cut by the pin not once did they take a report or notify me to make one. Unprofessional, rude, incompetent staff. I will no longer shop here and no wonder the company is going bankrupt.

    I made an online order on NM website. I ordered a David Yurman bracelet. I received the box from NM and when I opened the package, there was no bracelet. NM refuses to issue a refund! I have literally been told - tough look. I’m out $636.35 and no bracelet. This company has stolen my money and basically is calling me a liar.     Neiman Marcus Customer Service, whew!!!! WHEW!!!! What happened to NM Customer Service. This is not customer service. It is something else, because they are not helping at all. I had made a purchase in a NM Store on Long Island. The sales associate actually had to order my garment, which was a Moncler sweater, from online. She did not tell me, nor did I know, that becasue she helped with this purchase, that I would not be eligible for a return label, i.e. free shipping back to the store. Well I found this out when I called customer service. But I had a further complication, my order, the order that the in store associate bought for me online, does not show up in my account!

    Neither one of these problems could be solved by NM Customer Service. No shipping label, no fixing the fact that my order does not show up in my account. However, they would help me LOCATE a store for me to make a return! How ridiculous, how crazy is this. I don't need help locating a store, I need to ship my garment back to the store and know that it has arrived without a hassle! I don't know what happened to NM Customer Service, but if you are looking for Customer Service ... Shop elsewhere.

    After decades of shopping with Neiman Marcus, they recently refused to accommodate a return of $1,110 (Three items) despite my medical emergencies: emergency foot surgery, breast surgery, and months of rehabilitation that prevented me from meeting their 30-day deadline. Their customer service showed robotic empathy and no flexibility, just a cold recitation of policy. Despite being calm yet persistent, the second Customer Service Representative said that no one else could be of assistance to me and proceeded to hang up. For a brand that prides itself on customer service, Neiman Marcus demonstrated a shocking lack of compassion and accommodation that is completely unacceptable. I am left not only with a wasted purchase but also with a strong sense of betrayal as a customer and a disappointing waste of time.

    Accidentally purchased two of the same high-end bras from Neiman Marcus. Returned one of them and waited patiently while the return was supposedly processed. Just hung up with a tone-deaf agent who accused me of wearing the item before returning it, therefore they will not process the refund. This was never true. The package was not even opened. Really not thrilled with being accused of this when it was a simple mistake. Neiman Marcus is clearly not interested in a high-end customer experience. I will not buy from them again.

    I was shopping at NM, roaming through the hats, bags jewelry, etc. on the first floor. Some of the displays by the entrance are carpeted with aisles that aren't straight 45 degree corners but wind around within the display areas. This is unlike the rest of the store. I was following this roving path then, Bam; I felt like a hammer hit my left foot. This misstep threw me forward, stretched out on the floor; an uncontrolled scream came out as I went down.... After receiving assistance from a young shopper to get onto my feet, (so humiliating to be seen flat on the floor and need help!) I looked behind my stunned, hurting body to see a grate on the floor was open upright. I must have hit that during my step and been thrown forward. Staff and help arrived to ask questions about my health and the fall, tripping over the open grate. I collected my thoughts, felt my body react with pain and stress, and sat in a chair to regain my composure.

    I was interviewed by "security." After the excitement died down, I was alone in a chair, thinking about getting up and going home. I could stand and walk, though I still felt the "shock" of the sudden fall. Later I stood, walked cautiously to the exit to leave. Had x-rays next day showing no breaks in bones. But my shoulder, elbow and right ankle had bruises and pulled muscles with swelling. Now, I'm using a cane to steady myself as I walk in uneven places. I'm feeling better now and am wondering what I should do.

    I've been told I should sue NM for the upright grate and fall. I've been told NM should make a financial offer concerning my pain and suffering. But I haven't heard from NM about compensation. I dread suing but maybe I'll need to when these pains return as I age. I want to hear from other NM customers about what decisions would be best. What would you do? Thanks, KK

    Be aware. Worse experience for online purchase. I return suit that doesn't get via Federal Express. For some reason they didn't receive it. I have the shipment receipt. They refuse to reimburse me stating that the package I sent had different weight like I have control over it

    Purchased a bottle of perfume from Neiman Marcus online. What I received was a oversized box with stuffing and a few samples, called customer service. They said I would receive a refund or another bottle of perfume. Received nothing. Called again they said there's nothing I can do because the weight of the perfume correspond with the shipping. So customer service basically told me I'm a thief. They've got some real problems in their shipping department. If I would have read the reviews, I would have never have purchased anything online from Neiman Marcus. Buyer beware. Why do they even have customer service if nothing gets resolved?

    I bought a very expensive item. I have send it back and they have the proofs with their fedex label and is lost but they not refunding me and neither helping me and is ridiculous, I call this a FRAIUD… They are stealing people's money, holding on to my money and not helping with the lost and the refund through fedex, I will never buy anything from Neiman Marcus again!     I’m extremely disappointed with Neiman Marcus and their rigid return policy. I received a luxury fragrance as a gift from their store, but unfortunately, it wasn’t a scent I could wear. When I attempted to return it — still in the original packaging, with only one spray used — I was told it was not eligible for return or exchange simply because it had been sprayed once. This policy makes no sense, especially considering that fragrances are often gifted and it’s impossible to know if someone will like the scent without trying it. One spray to test the fragrance shouldn’t disqualify an item from being returned, especially at this price point!

    For a brand that markets itself as high-end and customer-focused, this experience was both frustrating and disappointing. I expected more flexibility and better customer service (was hung up on 2x) from Neiman Marcus. I won’t be shopping here again, and I’ll be advising others to think twice before buying gifts — especially fragrances — from them.

    I returned an expensive item to them using their fedex label. Package was lost. I spoke to a supervisor and provided them with the receipt that the package was dropped off at fedex. The supervisor ignored me and kept me holding on to the line. I spend over 5 hours to take care of this with no resolution. They don't help customers. I ended up disputing the amount. Neiman Marcus customer service sucks. I would never buy from them again.

    I made a purchase from Neiman Marcus earlier this year specifically because of a promotional gift card offer — and never received the card, any instructions, or even a notification that it had been issued. By the time I followed up, I was told it had expired and that the 30-day reissue window had passed — something I had absolutely no idea about, since I never received the original email to begin with.

    I called customer service just trying to confirm whether the email was actually sent or if it had somehow been overlooked. What I got instead was an unacceptable and unprofessional experience, especially with Jenny in the gift card department, who accused me of not understanding how email works and implied I had settings that automatically delete messages (I do not). I work in a customer-facing role myself and found her tone condescending and dismissive — the kind of attitude that escalates rather than resolves.

    When I politely asked to speak to someone else, I was told “no,” and that her team of 15 was “the best of the best” and would all say the same thing. That level of defensiveness — rather than listening — was shocking coming from a luxury retailer. I did call back and spoke to other reps who were respectful and professional, but ultimately the answer I received was: “It is what it is.” No resolution, no willingness to look deeper, and no option to escalate to someone who could actually help. I’m not someone who writes reviews often, but the combination of poor communication and outright rude service — especially from someone representing the gift card department — was enough for me to speak up. Neiman Marcus can and should do better.

    Never shop from this company. I ordered 1 $148 bottle of perfume for my wife's birthday on-line. In the process of ordering, after all the info was put in, the site froze. I rebooted the site and went to my account, and it showed no pending orders. So I ordered again, this time it seemed to work. I went to the pending orders and to my horror saw 2 orders. I immediately called the company to cancel. I was told I was too late to cancel and to return one when I got it. I did that, and a month later had the perfume returned to me as "Not returnable." It was unopened and still wrapped in plastic. This is not a reputable way to do business..
