I have used other websites for searches and this one, by far, was the most expensive and difficult to navigate and read or follow the format. Also, the information I already knew as factual was in error or omitted on this report. I chose to cancel and request a refund and will not be using your service in the future.

My customer service rep, Lucca, was great, but unfortunately, I had some technical issues with the site. It appears that while I was searching, the person I was searching for removed their information. Very disappointing.

I rely on a firm monthly billing. Adding a day for a 31 day month, yet I saw no change for February's 28 day month. How about non changing billing that we can count on money being removed from our bank accounts the same day every month like credit cards, bank loans, retailers, and everyone else in the world. I started paying on the 17th of each month, and now it's on the 2nd of the month after many years of subscriber experience.

Hh information I was looking for like address. I canceled subscription and you still billed me two months later. So you are a scam. You suck. You suck. You suck. You suck.

Your service did not provide the information I needed and I will not be using it again. Your service needs to provide more information like social security number on death certificates and stuff like that and if you can't provide it you need to let people know you don't have it before they go and sign up to get the information. I called you on 3/23/26, to cancel my subscription. But it didn’t get canceled. So I had to call back again on 3/26/26 to cancel my subscription for the 2nd time. I am so disappointed that I had call a second time to get my money refunded.

You do not identify your clients properly therefore some else with a criminal case was mixed in with me since you only used first/last name/city. No middle name or address to show she wasn't me. You said I might know 9 people who I had never heard of and never connected me to one of my parents or 4 siblings. You linked me to job places I never had and never connected me to one of the real jobs I had for 43yrs of my career as an RN. You thought I was a lawyer. Your company is totally unreliable, inaccurate and useless if not also harmful to someone's reputation.

I had never used Instant Checkmate and received a charge on my Capital One credit card. I talked to Mary, a representative of Instant Checkmate, on 03/20/2026. She refunded the charges and made sure the account was closed. I received a confirmation email stating that the account is being closed and that I will be refunded for the charges on my February 2026 credit card bill.

Searches had old outdated information and any court public records mentioned had no data. I was also unaware of being charged for months. I did not sign up for a year! Hundreds of dollars wasted on a site that I rarely used in 2025.

Horrible. I went through the entire application process and gave them all of my private information as required, including credit card information. After everything was done, and after they charged my card, I was not allowed to sign in to receive my information requested. I received a notice that my account was blocked. No explanation I called the number and they could offer NO explanation. No product. No service. No information. I feel completely ripped off. After they received ALL of my identifying and credit information, they blocked me from the service. No explanation given.

Alejandra was very patient and helpful and gave me a bit of her time. Your system doesn't allow me to enter, someone forgot to connect the "Next" box so you can't remove the sign telling you that it is a new system and log in. She helped me find a report I needed. Shame on you for not having the capability to have a working website when you are a website research company. Your customer service was great, your technical capablilities are questionable.

The customer service lady who helped me (I think her name was Jennifer, she had an accent), was very patient and helpful, even though I was pretty curt. I am not happy with the updates you guys made. And you force her to say a few sentences in the beginning of the call. You should stop that. It was not germane to my questions, and only caused confusion.

I received almost no useful information on the recent search request. I also received irrelevant and undesired information on "Nearby Sexual Offenders" that I did not request. The desired information was not present in the report that I received.

I thought Checkmate did an average job. They would not give out a phone # and said that when I was canceling, they would add that if I reconsidered. They did not provide a picture of the person and a present address for the person in question.

Regarding phone numbers, any phone numbers associated with the person you searched would be listed under the Contact Information section of their report. What our agent was offering during your cancellation was the ability to search by phone number, meaning if you enter a phone number into our search, we can advise you on who it may be registered to — this is a separate feature from what appears in a standard report.
As for photos, InstantCheckmate only provides images that are accessible through public sources such as online profiles or social media that are directly associated with the individual. If their profile is set to private or was registered under a different name, those images may not appear in the report.
It is also important to note that InstantCheckmate is not the source of the data in our reports — all information is pulled from public records and commercially available data sources, which may contain errors. Source data is sometimes reported or entered inaccurately, processed poorly, or is generally not free from defect, and our reports are not a comprehensive compilation of all available data. We encourage you to use our reports as a starting point for your own due diligence and to independently verify any information before relying on it.

I had to call because the ivr was not cooperating. Lucca was the agent I spoke with. He was extremely professional, efficient as well as knowledgeable and polite. I would speak with him again if I needed to. Without an argument or debate he was able to cancel my subscription as well inform me that I had not just one but two of them, which was a surprise. He was apologetic for any problems I had. Speaking with him was a pleasure.

Manuel was very polite and helped me efficiently to cancel my membership and refund my money. While it makes zero sense to me that an email cannot suffice as authorization to cancel the service, that is not Manuel's fault.

Customer service representative was very polite, professional and very helpful. I called with a financial problem and she was quick to respond to my questions and help resolve my problem. I noticed a charge each month on my credit card and called to find out why and how to stop it from continuing and the customer service representative was able to cancel it from happening again.

Monday, 2-2, I called tech support for assistance with trouble shooting difficulties with downloading reports. I asked several!! times, if we could setup screen-sharing, so that the tech could see my screen. I finally asked Directly, to screen-share: The tech shut down: Call your phone manufacturer!
