I’ve been a loyal customer at Costco Pharmacy for many years, but my recent experience with the pharmacist, Vance, was deeply upsetting. 😞 Due to a sudden policy change, my prescription was withheld without any notice — putting my health in serious danger. Stopping this medication abruptly could have triggered a seizure or other severe medical complications. ⚠️🧠💊

When I brought this up and asked if a courtesy call would have been appropriate, Vance questioned what I was saying and completely dismissed the gravity of the situation. His response was cold, condescending, and showed zero concern for my well-being. 💔 😔 I left feeling shaken, disrespected, and genuinely scared that someone in a position of trust could show such a lack of empathy during a critical moment. 🫤 I truly hope Costco Pharmacy reconsiders how it communicates with and cares for its patients. Lives depend on it. 📞❤️‍🩹

Went in today to get a prescription renewal on a medication I have been taking for 20+ years. They proceed to tell me they now also offer a generic version that is cheaper. I very clearly and specifically state that the medication is not expensive in the first place and that I do NOT want to switch. I do not want to mess with my dosage or any changes with my medication. I am told not a problem. I get my prescription, get home and they changed my medication to the generic against my wishes. If they do not remedy it I will never use them as a pharmacy again.

I made an appointment for a vaccine through their website. They sent a confirmation email with forms to fill out and requested that I arrive ten minutes early for my 1:15 appointment. There was no one in line for a vaccine ahead of me yet I sat in the chair waiting for a hour for the vaccine that took about 30 seconds. I went up to the counter twice and told them how long I had been waiting and they kept saying that someone would be calling me shortly. I won’t be returning to Costco Pharmacy.

The pharmacist felt she needed to contact my physician's office to question the legitimacy of my prescription because she assumed my physician and I are related. The phone number on the prescription was outdated because contact information had recently changed. The pharmacist made no effort to reach me to ask for an updated phone number. When I came to pick up the prescription, she behaved in a very haughty manner and insinuated that I must be doing something underhanded because of the relationship. I do not mind a pharmacist doublechecking in any way, but to treat me like a criminal was insulting and unprofessional. I will take my business elsewhere.

I've been filling prescriptions at Costco Pharmacy for nearly a year, multiple times per month, for both my family and my cat. Despite my doctor providing clear instructions to fill either the name brand or specific generics due to allergies and medication efficacy, this pharmacy has consistently failed to follow those directions. For the past seven consecutive months, I have received a different generic every single time, despite clear instructions. Generics are not identical, and changes in inactive ingredients can affect how the medication works. Even worse, the pharmacy routinely provides incorrect paperwork—handing out name-brand information instead of the actual generic manufacturer’s details. This is a serious issue, as patients deserve accurate information about the specific medication they are taking.

Two months ago, they filled a prescription for a dog, despite me telling two separate pharmacy employees in person that the medication was not for a dog. When I went to pick it up, they still tried to give me someone else’s prescription. It took me refusing to pay and other customers stepping in before they acknowledged the mistake. Additionally, after undercharging me a couple of months ago, they repeatedly called me to pay the difference. I should not be responsible for correcting their own billing errors.

Most people don’t check the medication paperwork they receive, but they should—because at this pharmacy, it is frequently incorrect. For patients like me with allergies (e.g., FDA Blue #2, which causes cystic acne), ingredient consistency is critical for medication stability and effectiveness. Yet, the pharmacy has repeatedly provided false information. Most recently, I was told they “only carry Northstar” for a particular medication, yet my own lived experience—including my most recent refill—proves that is not true. This is beyond frustration—this is a patient safety issue. If they are this inconsistent with my prescriptions, I worry about what mistakes are happening with others. A medication error could be life-threatening. Costco Pharmacy needs to address these serious concerns immediately. And for the record—I’m not a dog.

I have been a customer of Costco Pharmacy in Eden Prairie for at least 10 years. I have spent thousands of dollars there, my daughter's medication is at least $900 a week. She is severely disabled with a rare brain disease. Today I called Costco to see if my daughter's prescriptions were ready because some were ready, but some needed her Dr. to renew two of her prescriptions. The customer service rep, did not seem to know what was going on with her prescriptions, he said that they would be ready by 2 pm... I explained that I wanted to know if the meds that they had to contact her Dr. about had been renewed. He did not understand what I was talking about. I had to explain it numerous times. I asked if he could transfer me to someone who had more knowledge, such as a manager. He finally said they had been renewed and they would be ready by 2 pm. When I got there they had not been renewed by her Dr. I asked to speak to the manager. I told the Manager "Curt", about my conversation, he said too bad you have to come back.

No apology, did not seem the least bit empathetic, I explained to him I had to hire a babysitter to come here and it would be too much for me to come back. He did not care, not even an apology!! I told him that it's his responsibility as the manager of the pharmacy to train the people to understand their procedures and that he obviously did not do his job in training the customer service rep of the importance of telling me the meds were ready.

The biggest betrayal was the fact that he DID NOT CARE! He did not even say he was sorry, not even once during our conversation. He had NO Customer Service etiquette, whatsoever, not an ounce. And he followed me out of the pharmacy to tell me he would try and resolve it, he said "On a humanitarian basis, I understand where you're coming from in being angry". I was like, "WHAT?? On a humanitarian basis?? What does that mean?"...like he was so arrogant that he could not admit they did anything wrong!! He would not take the blame. He could not say he was sorry!! It was very weird. I think that he had the attitude that it was just a small mistake and like no big deal to him. Needless to say. I will be looking for another pharmacy.

The Costco Pharmacy in Thornton, CO is the best!! My wife and I had been using CVS inside Target and were very disappointed. We noticed how busy the Costco Pharmacy was each time we shopped there, so we stopped by one day and asked about getting our prescriptions transferred. That’s all it took. They contacted CVS and got everything transferred over.

They are all very friendly and helpful. On our most recent visit, Susie was processing our order and we asked about scheduling a flu vaccine. She said she’d be happy to set up appointments for us, but said that if we had time, we could do it right then. Then Aaron took over and in less than 10 minutes, we had picked up our prescriptions and gotten our flu shots.

They are hyper-focused on customer service. Sometimes the line gets long because it’s such a good pharmacy, but at those times team members appear and get all the registers going. The lines evaporate in no time. We have been impressed by everyone who’s helped us at this Pharmacy, but I haven’t gotten all of their names to include in this review. And we love the text notifications and auto-refills.

I went to the Costco on Huntington Rd, to get a prescription for my 6 month old son. The employee asked me if my son was insured and I said not sure. She checked and he wasn’t. The government does however cover certain prescriptions for children, and his puffer was one such item, but it was suppose to come with the chamber, the associate refused to give me the chamber and said if my son was insured I have to pay for the chamber, even though it was written on my prescription. She also told me to go and purchase it from another pharmacy, because I had left my wallet at home. I felt so disrespected because the item was suppose to come with the puffer and she refused to give me. She also told me she did me a favour by sending my son’s prescription to the government. Not happy and definitely won’t be going back here again.

BUSINESSES need to train employees customer service, something we are truly lacking in society today. Totally disgusted with the way I was treated today, and definitely feel like the pharmacist felt as if she was doing me a favour by giving me the medication for my son that I had a prescription for. I’m definitely not going to recommend my friends or family to the pharmacy because the lack of training some individuals have is really annoying. I know this review might not make a difference, but the associate should know that she needs to do better. I hope it does find a way to get to her, because she needs to become a better person especially if you at a job that’s to assist and help people on a daily basis.

I should know that when they give you a slip with a time on it, it puts pressure on the pharmacists to work fast so naturally errors go up. But the frequency with which I get errors has me concerned whether it's worth it to risk my health over saving a few dollars. IMO, the lack of care and double-checking customer orders isn't worth saving a few dollars.

Costco Wholesale Warehouse is just great! Love them. The Cost-Co Pharmacy is not to be confused with them. The Pharmacy at Cost-co is everything that the warehouse is not. I would call them incompetent but it's actually that they simply just don't care, don't have to. Kind of harsh, right? Consider they regularly are unable to fill a common prescription you may have. If it is an ongoing prescription such as for blood pressure or cholesterol you would think that since they know you're on file and will need it monthly that they would figure into their order so they would have it on hand, you would think wrong. If you try calling them a week prior to needing it to ask they order it they will not consider it, too early to do so you will be told. So you will call the day of only to find they are unable to fill several of your prescriptions but they will happily order some and it should be in by Wednesday.

If you are unlucky enough to have any controlled medicines (i,e, Cancer Patient, Pain etc) you may as well forget it. Don't even mess with Cost-co, you will likely be deceased before they will fill it. As I was once told directly by a Cost-Co rep, and I quote " not mine, don't care ". You have been warned, wish I had seen some of these reviews prior to getting tangled up with them.

And finally, it takes up to two or more weeks to get refills on an existing prescription. Even if you ask for 2-day delivery, it doesn't arrive on time. Ten days and counting currently.

While Costco Pharmacy offers very low prices for medication it definitely isn't worth the hoops you have to jump through to get a refill. Costco completely messed up one of my prescriptions 3 times and the pharmacist I interacted with in person was one of the most condescending and rude individuals I've ever met. It shouldn't be this hard to get refills of important medications.

All of my prescriptions have been written for a 3 month supply, when I switched from using the in person pharmacy to Costco's online pharmacy they only sent me a one month supply of my medications. This was really inconvenient for me but I figured it would be fine if I just set up auto-refill/auto-delivery. I signed up for auto-refill just fine and double checked that it was turned on in my account. Later in the month I realized that I was running low on my medication but my refill still hadn't been delivered yet so I logged into my account only to find that auto-shipping had somehow been deactivated and my prescription hadn't been refilled. I immediately requested a refill but knew it wouldn't get here in time before I ran out.

The next day I called my local Costco and asked if I could get a 5 day supply of my medication to hold me over until my actual refill arrived, the pharmacist was very kind and said that they would be able to do that and I could come in and pick it up the next day. The next day I rushed over to the pharmacy after work and was met by one of the rudest people I've ever encountered. When I explained that I was there to pick up a prescription she said that there was no prescription ready for me. I reiterated that I had talked to a pharmacist on the phone the day before and she said that my prescription would be ready the next day. The pharmacist was very condescending and said that the doctor has to sent them a script before they can just fill it, which I understand, but in the past whenever a pharmacy has had an issue with one of my scripts they have called my Dr's office and taken care of the issue for me.

When the person I spoke with on the phone said that I could come pick up my script the next day I figured that they would've called my Dr to have a script for a 5 day supply sent over. If they would've told me over the phone that I needed to call my Dr first, I would've been happy to do so even though I'm pretty sure that's their job. I ended up leaving without my important medications and now my health is at risk because of their mistakes. Risking your health is not worth the lower prescription costs, I highly recommend going elsewhere for your prescriptions.

One it is difficult to get a person in the pharmacy answer the call. Minimum hold time is 5 to 10 minutes. Second the person who answers the phone will keep you hanging in there for answers and by that time some other employee will come on the line, asking for whom you are holding. Third they never seem to have all the items on the prescription sent by fax by my doctor.

I told them that I was already in severe pain and to please expedite it as much as possible. 20 minutes later with my jaw barely able to move and not being able to swallow. (This part obviously was not Costco's fault.) I go to get my Rx and am told, "Gee we are so slammed and it's going to be another 20 minutes ..." I replied "Are you Serious? Can you not tell I am in agony here? Why can't we expedite this for people who are obviously hurting?" My reply was, "Yeah now that would be nice huh?"

Now 25 minutes later I go to get my Rx and they forgot one of the prescriptions... I was livid and about to scream at them but of course can't even open my jaw. They scurry off and force one of the incompetents in the back to hurry it up. And about an hour later, I had my Rx. Again, I am in agony and now had to wait for an hour to get my prescription. And now have to wait for another to hopefully have the pain lessen a bit. Management's best reply was "Oh yeah. I'll talk to the Pharmacy manager..." Which meant Nothing. I went to the pharmacy to fill a prescription. I went to the drop off to turn it in, after asking if they had the right brand, as my doctor filled my script early because the pharmacy I went to their brand was taking 2 hours to dissolve. I double checked and they had the brand my doctor recommended I get. They said it would be ready in a half hour. So half hour I checked. It was not ready so they said they would let me know when it was ready. Another half hour goes by I check again. Still not ready. I sat back down then all the sudden the cashiers started saying, "I'm not going to tell her, you tell her." Mind you they were loud enough for the other people waiting for their meds to hear.

Finally one comes over to me and says in a rude and snooty tone, "You are trying to fill this way too early." So I told them to call my doctor, and the reason for the early fill. I understand that they were doing their job but it doesn't take an hour to tell me this. Not to mention I was so embarrassed, because this was done right in front of several customers. The cashier took it back so the pharmacist could call my doctor 20 minutes later who by the way was very nice to me, came and told me that it would be another 20 minutes for it to be filled. The rest of the wait the cashiers gave me dirty looks and made me so upset I was crying when I got to my car.

The cashiers need to be taught some customer service, and training in the medication. I refuse to use the pharmacy at Costco ever again. I pay to be a member and I will not pay to be treated that horrible. Again the lady that checked in my med and the pharmacist were very nice. It was the 3 ladies at the cashier counter is why I will not return. I will not renew my card when due.

I was recently involved in an accident that left me unable to pick up several medications I had phoned in to Costco pharmacy the previous day. My husband does not have a membership so I gave him my card to pick up the items for me. The technician at the desk refused to give him the medications (which included insulin) because he did not have his own card.

I texted back and forth with someone at Costco headquarters today to verify if that was indeed the policy. It was correct. You have to have your own card to pick up medication for someone else. Seems strange anyone can use Costco pharmacy without a membership (by state law), but they can't pick it up for someone else without a membership card.

I asked what one was to do if she could not get into the pharmacy due to injury or severe illness. Seems a likely possibility seeing as we are talking medication. In that case, I was told, one needed to use the mail-in pharmacy (guess I should have planned ahead for my accident) -- or -- find a member to pick it up. I like a lot of things about Costco--including the prices I pay for my medications, but to essentially say my well-being can be put at risk for this ridiculous rule tells me I need to do business elsewhere. BTW, I checked the policy of other local pharmacies and not one would deny medication pick-up to a spouse.

Various pharmacists have gotten the other four wrong. When I have question them, a team of two or three people is sent to the counter to argue with me and blame the prescribing doctor, the insurance company of both for Costco's error. On one occasion, I pointed to the label on the medication they had sold me that clearly indicated that the prescription was not correctly filled according to Costco's own label, the pharmacist refused to acknowledge that he had made a mistake.

I had my insurance company call only to be told after a long hold during which time the insurance rep that Costco on the phone that the people she talked to at Costco were bizarrely unable to communicate with. She suggested having the prescription transferred to a different pharmacy. I don't understand why people presumably with a university degree cannot read and understand a prescription and why they cannot accept responsibility for their mistakes. I also do not understand why Costco management doesn't fix the problem with some training.

On the first of the three days (Nov. 25), I was told that it would take 30 minutes. After waiting almost two hours, they finally acknowledged that they had it on order and it would be ready on November 27 after 2:00. They should have told me that at the beginning of the long wait. My wife called on Nov. 27 and was told that the morning of the 28th would be the earliest availability. I came on Nov. 28 and had to work through an unfriendly woman at the counter who had me stand around waiting before finally asking me if this was the medicine. It was the same prescription as the previous ten months.

I signed and left because 1) I am a senior citizen who had been standing a while and 2) My dying dog needed the medicine. I should have analyzed the receipt but Costco is aboveboard (?). The price had increased from $26.79 for the preceding ten months to $145.11! I asked for a credit on the Citibank credit card website for the difference but Costco's new credit card provider conveniently lacks an area to explain why I am challenging part of this charge. Every time I got there, I have to tell them how to do their job. My Doctor will send over a prescription electronically right in front of me or I would call in a refill and the Doctor would call it in and the Pharmacy would claim they never received anything or an approval. I would call back again and again and the third time they had it because that was the only time they put me on hold to look.

The most recent is when I had an approval for a medication to be refilled and told them I would pick up next day and when I called the next day to see if it was ready, I was told they were out of stock and my question was why wasn't I told this yesterday or did they not fill it yesterday for me to pick up today and the clerk put me on hold. She came back on and said they had it from a different manufacturer so I said, "Yes, please fill."

This has not only happened with my medications but with my cat's as well. If the prices weren't so good (my insurance doesn't cover everything) then I would go back to Target. They never call you to tell you there is an issue and I have had to call them 3-4 times every single time I have needed a prescription. If I was the Pharmacy Manager I would fire everyone and hire all new people. Only one person who is named Charles has ever taken the time to call me back when there was an issue or took that extra step. He should get a raise.

I will warn women, seniors, physically challenged people and other in an apartment when you buy products from Costco online. They may deliver to your security gate, but they may not bring it to your door. It depends on Vendor's policy, according to Costco. I purchased 65" TV from their online. It was delivered and left to a security gate. The delivery man did not bring it to my unit. It was heavy, so I had to hire someone to carry it to my unit next day. He brought it to my unit and opened the box in front of me, and we saw a broken TV screen.

I do not know if it was damaged by a rough delivery guy, my securities, a handy man who carried it to my unit, or another reasons. Costco customer service said they do not consider 65" TV which is around 50lb as heavy and big product, so it is ok to leave it at condo's security without buyer's signature. They seem not consider $1800.- TV as expensive product.

Anyway, I had to order another TV. I emailed Canpar (delivery company) not to leave the 65" TV at the security gate again, and I asked them to notify me next time. No reply. I also told Costco customer service not to do it again. She apologized and called and told Canpar not to do it again for me while I was holding on the phone. The same delivery guy notified me my new 65" TV delivery. He said he would leave my TV at our security gate again because he does not want to get a parking ticket, though we have parking spaces. Asked him to bring it to my unit POLITELY, but he just hung up on me. It was 20 SECONDS conversation. Our security manager persuade him to take it to my unit, so he brought it to my unit eventually.

I emailed Costco about it, and no reply in a few days. I called their customer service. They told me that they are not responsible for the way of delivery. They are just selling products indirectly, so each vendors have their own policy for delivery. They also told it was ok to leave $1800.- value, heavy and big product at a condo's security. This is not their business because they do not sell products on their online directly. They also said 65" is not heavy and big. For example, company "A" may deliver 65" TV to your suite. Company "B" will leave their 65" TV at the security, and you have to carry it to your suite later. That is why my LG 65" TV was left at security gate without notifying me, and my acquaintance who got a smaller TV from another company was delivered to her door.

The way of delivery of each vendor's products on Costco online shopping depends on vendors. Costco clearly told me that they are not related with any products on Costco online. They are like Amazon, Ebay, and others. Amazon, Ebay customer service never took advantage of this statement to respect customers and vendors. That is a big difference between Amazon, Ebay and Costco.

Arrogant customer service told me that Costco does not have responsibilities for delivery again. He also told me we must check how the purchased product would be delivered just before confirming payment. Ok, I got it. I never thought 50 pounds TV is light product as Costco thinks. I assumed they deliver products as IKEA, Home Depot, Bricks, Bestbuy, Leon, Structube and others deliver to my door. They said it was my fault because I did not get in touch with Canpar, though I did. However, Canpar web clearly showed me under my tracking number that they cannot leave the size of my TV at condo's security because it is not a parcel. They did, thought... While I was explaining the contradiction between what Canpar say and did and what Costco's each vendor's delivery policies, an arrogant Costco Customer Service guy hang up on me. THEY called me and interrupted my work, though.

She looked at the Rx and said I was trying to refill my meds 3 days too soon and that I had "done it before". What?? She's crazy. It was not anything fun to take and it's very expensive. So why would I try to take more or pick it up early except that I had to work until 8:30 the next 6 days. I went in on Friday, drove there special after work (still in my lab coat as I am a healthcare practitioner) and she went crazy on me. I was almost in tears. She made me feel so bad.

I called my Dr and he called her and said she was an unreasonable lady and that he would call it in anywhere else for me. I went to another Costco Pharmacy and there was NO PROBLEM. It's like she was off her psych meds or in menopause or something. Go anywhere but here is my suggestion. I love Costco and have bought 2 laptops, a couch, mattresses, a Dyson and so much else just since December and I am ready to bring back what I can and to never shop at Costco or Costco.com again. But since they were nice at my regular pharmacy I will simply never go to Costco Torrance again. Suhee ** you need to get out of the service business. Or be nice to people. You are horrible!

This is the best pharmacy I have ever used. The reason I started going here was because at one point I did RX coverage and my Dr. told me to start going there as they are by far the cheapest. At first I was hesitant because there is no drive through, you can't just park without all the parking lot chaos and run in and/or depending on each location of course it's located far away in the store from the front door. I compared a few prices since I take a few and on-going so I knew I would be needing to go there at least once a month and they were by far the cheapest and by A LOT. I started going at least 3 years ago and would never go anywhere else and not just because of price which of course is very important but honestly compared to any pharmacy and I have used most the pharmacists here blow me away with how intelligent they are, patient and so helpful and take the time to answer all of your questions.

Additionally the staff are so nice and flexible and there are always more than 3 people working. I picture standing in one of the other Pharmacies counter and being ignored by the staff (and usually one working) and one pharmacist and they are short with you and you are rushed out of there and with my experience not knowledgeable. Many of my RX are cheaper paying without insurance or a copay, you don't need a Costco membership to use the pharmacy and it's no big deal to park and run in because you bypass all lines as you pay direct at the pharmacy and don't need to stand in those lines at the exit to be checked with your receipt. You can also literally call and press 0 and get the pharmacy and never put on hold. I LOVE COSTCO PHARMACY.

I explained to her that this is my wife and we have ID's showing same last names and addresses. They wanted her to make the payment. I think this kind of treatment is beyond acceptable. I have a prescription for 60 ** every 2 months. I have to wait until I'm out to get the new prescription. That's normal. What doesn't make sense is Costco rarely has the full prescription, and tells me I can get 30, but have to wait until I'm out again to get the remainder. My question is, why is it when they have the full amount they dispense it, but when they don't, they don't allow me to pick it up when it comes in; they make me wait until I'm out to get the rest.

I asked the pharmacy technician why and emphasized that it doesn't make sense that I should be penalized for their stock issue. She said it's a Costco rule because it's a controlled substance. So, I have to change my schedule so that I don't go anywhere that day, and make an extra trip to pick up the remainder. How on earth could this make sense to any rational person. Seems to me that it's nothing more than a power trip. It was easier to get ** or ** when I was abusing drugs than getting something that is clearly written by a legitimate doctor when I'm clearly not abusing the prescription. Shame on you Costco.

I was told they would not fill my prescriptions without 24 hours notice. I asked why as all other pharmacies fill them within an hour. I was told they do not have the staff to do same day fills. I suggested they hire more staff and I was told they would like that as well but the manager will not consider hiring more staff. I find this to be very poor service and now have to get some of my prescriptions filled elsewhere. I was not told this but if the excuse is that this is the only way they can keep prices down then I must say I strongly disagree as the volume sales would more than take care of that,

I have been a Costco member since it first opened in Burnaby BC. I recently gave the Store Manager my Costco card due to my experiences with the Pharmacy, Management and lack of caring by any employee of this store. You are lucky enough to get a parking space, which does not happen all the time, fight through the throng of shoppers loading up gigantic carts with useless stuff, this shopping experience to me is just horrible!!!! I was picking up prescriptions there for the last 6 months and not ONCE did they have my order ready. There was always some lame excuse and was always told to come back the next day or wait around for an hour... The ploy to get you to do some shopping I suppose.

I met with the pharmacy manager a few times but this person did not care one bit as they were way too busy to deal with me. I then asked to meet the Store Manager. I met a gentleman who presented himself as the Store Manager and he agreed that there are some major problems at this Costco, one of the busiest in the Lower Mainland. Went back a few weeks later and no prescription again. Went to see the store manager and this time I met a woman. I said the last time I was here I met a male store manager. She said he was not the store manager, just filling in while she was away. So now they lie to their customers too!

I am quite surprised that Costco is still even in business with their total lack of respect for their customers and they have no idea what customer service is all about. And to boot, they don't trust you as they have to stop you at the door to make sure you have paid for all your goods. What a sleazy company this is. I avoid this shopping disaster and will never set foot in any one of their stores again.

Costco's dramatic drop in customer service (2017) -- As a lifelong Costco shopper I have always enjoyed shopping at Costco. It would be nice if I could just end this review at that. Unfortunately, this is a real review with real customer feedback. My experiences with Costco have progressively gotten worse over the last year or so, finally coming to a point today 2/2/2017. As we all know Costco is a nightmare on the weekends. So to help avoid this quagmire and not add to the chaos, we now go to Costco on a weekday during the middle of the day. Because of this new Costco shopping day (weekday) I can no longer go to Costco because I work during the week. For the third (3) time now my wife has been aggressively confronted, argued with, and threatened to take away the card. They went as far as blocking her from using my account and sent her away in tears. All because it is my name on the card. There was no consideration given to the fact that she is my wife and we live at the same address.

What they want me to do is buy ANOTHER Costco membership!!! They want me to buy 2 memberships for one household!! This make NO! sense, I'm not trying to give my card to a stranger or a neighbor, or even extended family!! This is my wife and why would I BUY another membership!!! I called Jenny in Memberships at the Salt Lake City, UT store and this was my response. I asked for an exception to be made and they allow my wife to do our grocery shopping and this was the response that I get! My mother goes to Sam's Club and she uses my father's card. At most they mention to her, "Next time could you have your husband come with you?" WOW Costco this your customer service!! I STRONGLY suggest anyone in the market for a big box store membership to get a Sam's Club membership if for no other reason than what I mentioned above.

Every time I went there (2 times so far), the service was terrible. First they try to make you renew the Executive member card and they don't take no for an answer. And once you try to make them understand nicely that you'd rather take the regular membership card since you already tried the Executive one (wasn't really beneficial), they make faces as if you were mean or a jackass. The guy at the counter seemed pissed and he was quite rude, so was the "manager" at that counter. I hate going to that Costco because of how disrespectful they were. Hopefully, the management system will consider this message and send words to their employees (Costco in Laval, Quebec) to give a better service next time.

During the Christmas season, my wife and I were food shopping at our local Costco Warehouse. While wandering the aisles, my wife happened upon this great stainless steel workbench, which would have provided just what we needed for improving our kitchen work/storage space problems. Being it was Christmas, and we're seniors, we were desperately short on funds. We didn't have enough cash to spare for an unanticipated extra $299.00 expense. I convinced my wife, that we should wait. Silly me. I figured it was Christmas, and who would be buying that many expensive stainless steel work benches? I should have known better. When we returned in January, ready to buy, we were informed that the store was not only sold out of their work bench supply, there would never be any more such work benches offered, and our ONLY alternative would be for us to attempt to order the item directly from the Costco website.

It was during this part of the experience, where I was informed that there would be an additional $149.99 shipping charge, which would be tacked onto the purchase price. According to their customer service people, and completely unlike so many other "Big Box" retailers, it seems Costco not only does NOT offer to ship direct order products to their stores for customer pick-up, but if you spend the time (like I did), and contact every other Costco Warehouse store (within a 150 mile radius), you will learn that it doesn't matter if you find what you are looking for. Costco is not interested in helping you. I decided to try and purchase the same product from another store, and go pick it up myself. In my case I found the stainless work bench at another Costco Warehouse Store. This store was more than 150 miles away from us.

Upon reaching that store by telephone, I was informed that Costco policy does not allow credit card purchases over the phone. They also DO NOT offer to place items in stock "on hold". In a most unapologetic way, I was told, "Every single item we sell is strictly cash and carry. We expect you to come in, buy what you want, and take it with you." Their only offer of remedy would be to "hold" an item on the day of purchase. That was their subtle hint, that I should immediately get into my car, and get there ASAP. I was strongly advised to call the store, prior to leaving my home, to make sure there was still a unit available for purchase. Wow. Now that's what I call strong-arm sales tactics. We live in a small, rural, community. We don't have a bunch of "Big Box" stores.

We're used to having to jump into our car and drive many miles to get what we need. But of all the large retailers we DO have close by - WalMart, Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. - everyone of them has impressed me with how they seem to go out of their way, to check other stores close by, or offer to place an order for us, and even go so far as to have items dropped shipped directly to their stores, to help their customers to avoid driving hundreds of miles or paying huge shipping charges. With Costco, my experience seems as if they almost deliberately go out of their way NOT to sell you something. I'm retired now, and as they say, "Hindsight is 20/20." After this experience with Costco Company, I sure wish I could go back in time, and open my own giant-sized department store, just like theirs, in a small community just like ours, and simply hang out a sign on the door that reads... "WELCOME TO MY STORE... NO CUSTOMERS WANTED."

They may not have the greatest selection but they have a decent selection and their pricing is much better than lens crafters and many independents. They also do not nickel and dime you to death. Superior value, timely delivery and great bang for the buck.

If I should buy something that I later decide that I want to return, Costco will give me a full refund even if I have had it for a few years and I can't find the receipt! Whenever I need anything I always check at Costco first. The price of my Executive Membership pays for itself almost immediately with savings over the normal retail of the items that I buy there, and at the end of each year of my Executive Membership Costco rewards me with a rebate based on a percentage of what I spent during the previous year, which has always exceeded the $110 annual price for their Executive Membership fee.

Costco advertised that will deliver and install with a "While Glove" service; therefore I bought it. The delivery vendor told me that he does not have the extension/coupling to connect the range to the gas connector from the house. I told me to go to Home Depot to get the extension/coupling and call Costco back to schedule time for him to come back to install. I do not know what he's talking about. Go to Home Depot to get WHAT?? I told him that I don't know and need someone to install for me. He insisted that nothing he could do; and left. I then called my contractor to install the range. I had the worst experience. Placed an order for a TV that was on sale for black Friday. After a few weeks nothing was going on with my order so I called customer service. Apparently my order was going to be on back order for 2 to 3 weeks and the rep said it's a good thing I called since my order wasn't going to go anywhere as they needed a physical address and no one was going to call me to inform me of this. After another week, I find my order canceled. Had to call customer service again, and replace my order, which means this will be another 2 to 3 weeks from this time.

After a week I find my order was canceled. Called customer service again and the reason they canceled my order was that instead of verifying my billing information with my credit card company they were trying to put my shipping address as my billing as they didn't correctly read my information. After 3 weeks of going back and forth with customer service as the verification department is in the US and we are not allowed to reach out to them and they kept saying they tried to get a hold of me, which never happened, never had a missed call. I had to cancel once again my order and replace it for the third time, once again pushing my order for another 2 to 3 weeks and I don't even know if I will get the item. I'm so glad I ordered this way before Christmas only to find out Christmas has gone and passed and they still couldn't get it there on time. This was a terrible experience and it's still not over with after dealing with this for over a month.

My mom recently purchased a $1000 fridge from costco.com, and the delivery service provided by Costco mistreated our floor and left us with $6000 worth of damages to our floor. The same fridge was available at my local Lowe's, but I decided or order from Costco.com. This was our biggest mistake trusting Costco would be a stand up company. After purchasing it in August, we did not receive the fridge until November. This is all fine. What is truly upsetting is that the delivery service Costco subcontracted out is a scam - they used a company called XPO Logistics who then subcontracted out to Razaat Transportations LLC. What Costco calls "White Glove Service" in reality is two guys dragging the fridge into our kitchen with their bare hands, no layering of protection on the floor, no use of any professional delivery tools, just dragging the fridge using their bare hands all over my hardwood floor.

After I called Costco customer service, they filed a claim for me and then said they are no longer responsible since they subcontracted out the delivery service. The subcontractor refused to acknowledge their mishandling and tried to blame us. From the photos, it's clear that the gouges on the floor was from dragging the fridge. If we just bought the fridge at Lowe's, we would've never been treated like this by a company. We had to have a Costco membership to buy the fridge. We PAID Costco. Costco now denies any responsibility and forces their customer to deal with 3rd party subcontractors that are scammers and amateurs at best.

Now, I could have paid with cash for him with no issues, but I couldn't pay with my debit card (same as cash?). We had to leave empty handed after waiting in a long line because we don't carry cash and we didn't load up his debit card because he is home. I'm sorry, but whatever excuse they have for that policy, it is a crappy one.

The cashier was absolutely nasty about the whole incident right from the start. Because of this and other issues that seem to be inconsistent lately, we won't be renewing our membership. The people I see entering or exiting cars in the handicapped spots are NOT handicapped. It could be, of course, that they dropped, or are picking up, the handicapped user at the ENTRANCE. IS COSTCO ADEQUATELY MONITORING USE OF THE HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACES? Have you designated an adequate number of handicapped spaces? In both cases I noticed the cooking time was less, so this led me to check the size. Of course the price did not change - same price for less. This seems to be deceptive trade practices and I would like to see a consumer law that merchants need to notify you of a change in the size.

Same thing happens quite often. For example Oscar Mayer purchase a popular turkey bacon company that sold 12oz Turkey Bacon and immediately changed it to 10oz for the same price. We discontinued to purchase the bacon. Now I have noticed that some stores do not carry it any longer. I am sick and tired of companies purchasing another company and making the consumers pay for the purchase price. Likewise I am sick and tired of companies decreasing the size and keeping the price the same. Consumers cannot be protected from everything, however this is something that should be put into place. Companies complain about Government Regulations, but in some cases it is warranted. You cannot make companies honest, but one would expect that companies would at least disclose this information.

I am writing with respect to my experience today at Verne Roberts Location in Antioch California. I have shopped at several locations before but this location is a total different experience. I entered the Tire department to take advantage of the lifetime balance and rotation plan that I purchased in February 2015. The clerk advised that the service was no longer available as my membership expired. I explained that the clerk I spoke to at the point of purchase, advised that the service continues rather I reinstate my membership or not. Moreover, my Costco membership and lifetime Balance and rotation are 2 independent products that are not contingent on the other after purchase.

I asked to speak with the General Manager and the gentleman referred me to a Terrell **. He approached me prepared to argue instead of listen to my concerns. He explained that one has to remain a member if he or she desires to take advantage of any services that he or she has paid for and refused to hear me out. I asked if the contract explicitly states that or if this implied per Costco Policy. Mr. ** replied "I don't know." An answer that in my opinion is not sufficient in providing a desirable experience for a customer or prospective customer.

Correct me if I am wrong as I am not council, thus I am not qualified to interpret the law; however, per my understanding a policy is proprietary to a company and does not supersede contract law. If there is any ambiguity in a contract and the requirements are not explicitly stated, law generally leans on the side of the consumer.

Let's view this same policy from a different perspective. If what he saying is true then it would be safe to say that if one were to purchase a Cellphone from Costco, he or she must relinquish the product upon cancellation of his or her membership. I paid $55.00 for my membership and $56.00 plus tax for my tire protection plan. I am not sure why I have to pay to service a plan that is already prepaid.

Again my issue is not the fact that Mr. ** did not honor my request, rather he did not do his diligence in researching the matter prior to responding. He simply referenced a blanket Costco policy as a conclusion. I am not sure if he considered the fact that each department is separate entity with different functions within the organization. Can someone please provide me some clarity?

This is ridiculous since my couch has been sitting at the delivery company for the last two weeks (or more than that now.) What Costco should say on their ordering page is that "your delivery could take 3 months or more but we will charge you right away" and also that "the shipping company will only deliver to you on a day that is convenient for them (NOT CONVENIENT FOR YOU) between the hours of 9-4". Had this information been on the page I never would have ordered from Costco online. The customer service is absolutely ridiculous. On my 2010 Prius mileage dropped 7-8 mpg. I complained to Michelin and during the investigation I discovered they installed a 60,000 mile Michelin Tire. No help from the COSTCO Manager and no help from Michelin. Michelin has no responsibility for the tires COSTCO installs. COSTCO made their sale and they are done. How many other drivers have they ripped off. Stay away from the COSTCO in Greenville SC but I suspect it is being done everywhere. BEWARE.

Oct. 15, 2016 - I am writing this letter to express my severe disappointment with Costco’s Window vender, Graber and Home Remedies Interior Design companies. I called to have an estimate on wooden shutters for my new home. The consultant, Judi **, came to my house on Oct. 14, 2016 at 1:15 pm and left at approximately 2:00 pm. I consider this to be a very short visit for 346 square feet of real wood shutters to be discussed, selected and ordered. Especially considering the fact that two of the windows were sliding glass patio doors!

She failed to explain anything necessary for me to make an informed decision on wood shutters. She did slightly explain the difference between wooden and composite shutters. She failed to explain on how to decide on the size of the shutters, the frames, hardware, durability or even the warranty difference between the two. It appeared when she entered my home that she did not plan on being here long and asked no questions about what I was looking for in shutters.

When I asked her specific questions about colored finishes on real wood shutters and how to determine which one was best. She states that whatever I choose would be fine because they have a wide variety of stains. When I asked about what are the most popular choices that customers pick, she could not give an answer.

I did receive a very vague estimate. It was written with the number of shutters (11) without the square feet, type or color of shutters to be purchased, the retail cost was $21,725 and the Costco cost of $15,225. The tax was listed as $1210 and a rebate of $1644 which was not explained at all. I had to call her back the next day to determine what the square footage of the windows were and the price per square foot because it was not listed on the estimate.

After several specific questions from my husband about the specifics of such an expensive purchase, I realize that this woman, had no intention of educating me about real wood shutters, nor was she interested in having me make a purchase with her company. Judi left and told me that she would order a sample of the shutters colors that I selected so that I could look at them in my home before making an order. She stated that it would take a week to arrive by mail in a week! I specifically told her that I wanted to have shutters for the Christmas holiday and that one week pushes us even closer to the deadline.

After watching a single video for 6 minutes on Youtube.com, I realize that I learned a ton more about this process that the entire time with Judi. I live in a million-dollar gated community and I cannot believe the service I just received! I had a neighbor that asked how the appointment went, as this was my first consultation for wood shutters, I told her not consider Costco because of the poor customer experience that I had with Judi! I will make sure that that I tell all of my new neighbors on the Next Door app not to use Costco for blinds and shutters.

My husband and I have been Costco members since 1997 and converted to a business membership in 2005. This is our first and last experience with any of your vendors. We have shop at Costco at least three to four times a month for several years. I cannot believe that this is the quality of the vendors that you select to represent your other services. I called about receiving an estimate on flooring as well, it took Shaw floors a week to call me back! Shame on you, Costco for having such poor vendors!

I bought Kirkland brand environmentally responsible ultra clean laundry detergent at Costco. After using for about a week, my husband started breaking out head to toe in quarter sized, itchy hives. This prompted us to get online and look up reviews. Well, it was obviously the new detergent. I immediately stopped using it BUT after several rewashings, the detergent is still in the clothes and a month later, he is still covered in hives because it will not wash out of clothing! Most other online reviewers had same experience. Average review said after spending hundreds at Dr., they found out it was detergent. Not to mention the soap residue ate the paint off the shelf I was storing it on!!!

I called Costco headquarters and got no help. Just told me to call warehouse I purchased from and get a refund! I don't want just a refund! I want it pulled from the shelves period, so others don't have to unknowingly suffer with these problems. Also, it is known to cause skin problems of all kinds, respiratory compromise, DNA alteration and cancer with a moderate risk!!! Please do not buy!!!! Not worth it!

In the past 2 months Costco has placed a $100 hold on funds for 5 full days, for $30-40 gasoline purchases when I have used my bank debit/visa card. On October 8th, I made a $336 purchase. There was an immediate $336 deduction from my bank account PLUS a $336 HOLD on my bank account. I contacted my bank and they said this was action on the part of Costco. When I contacted Costco they denied any involvement and referred me back to my bank. The bank again researched the issue and assured me that it was solely initiated by Costco.

I have incurred charges related to the transfer of funds to cover subsequent purchases at other business establishments. Costco is the only business that this has occurred. I shared this information with another person who goes to Costco frequently and they said they had the same experience and were also awaiting the release of funds from their bank account. I noticed this occurred with the institution of the Citibank visa and questioned the assistant manager regarding this, but he denies any connection. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Then DirecTV wanted to charge cancellation fees. NO! DirecTV waived the fees. Costco should not represent such a shoddy service, and being new to Costco it makes me suspicious of their other products and services.

Today at Costco we browsed for a bit (I just happened to tag along with the folks) and it seemed like the place was busy as always. I'm surprised that so many people think this place is that great; in fact, Costco seems like hype. You don't always save money by shopping at the place; a lot of their canned goods are only marginally cheaper than what you find at grocery stores (like paying $0.60 vs. $0.65 or so at the grocery) and some things were actually more expensive (some of the sauces were pricier, for example).

The clothing is bland looking backwoods crap (I know that Costco isn't a fashion center but please...) and some of the other stuff like home decor is cheap, kitchen tools that are junk (the folks bought some 'santoku' knives that cut worse than our butter knives) and furniture that looks like Walmart grade stuff. There is stuff that is cheaper here than elsewhere but that's mostly if you either buy a ton of rice/sugar/flour for some business or if your family eats some sort of meat and salad diet.

Also, the store has sort of an awkward layout (just getting to the bathroom means wading through the checkout lines and squeezing past the people buying the various junk) and I don't care for the employees at the entrance pestering you about your membership card or wanting to check over your receipt like you're a shoplifter. How nice. Oh, and most of the customers seem to have room temperature IQ and move at glacier speed (no, you can't stand in the middle of traffic like an idiot and no, the store is not a daycare). Costco is overrated if you ask me and for the record, Sam's club and Aldis come across as just as weird. This whole business seems like a creepy cult to me! Yes there are worst businesses out there but don't believe the hype.

Since switching to Visa, I have become increasingly frustrated with both Visa and Costco for forcing this change and the poor customer service that goes with it. I have attempted to set up auto pay each month since getting the card. Auto pay was NEVER an issue with Amex. I get disconnected multiple times during each call, and when reaching a customer service representative they are unable to help. My wife and I each have a card, and when setting up the account with my user ID, I cannot set up auto pay. It would have been great to have been told this the first call. This second call, I need to have my wife now set up a separate user ID, and set up auto pay. Why the hoops. I just want to avoid fees, pay as I go in full, and be a great Costco member. I am considering the switch to Sam's Club out of principle. Great job VISA!

I've been shopping at Costco for over 10 years now. I've always had a pleasant experience and have enjoyed shopping here. I've actually never written a company review before, but my experience today motivated me to write one. Upon checkout I was told that there were no boxes left by both the cashier and the bagger. I was surprised by this since other customers around me were getting their groceries packed into boxes. After I paid and all my groceries were skewed in my cart I went to the box area by the bathrooms to pick up a box and went back to box my groceries. I even told the guy who put my groceries in my cart that there were more boxes and all he said was 'ok' with his head down.

I don't care so much that I had to box my own groceries, but the fact that both the cashier and bagger stated there weren't any boxes upsets me since they blatantly didn't want to go out of their way to gather more boxes. Yes, there were long lines, but as a Costco customer I've always expected to have my groceries in boxes since they don't use bags there. And since Costco is a wholesaler boxes are usually plentiful. I live on the 5th floor of an apartment, so having to make several trips without boxes wasn't ideal. Like I mentioned before I usually don't write reviews, but this experience really upset me and I don't know why I was treated differently than other customers.

No answer for two days - I called again. They said that manager decide to replace the TV instead of replacing the part and send technician and that I could bring the TV to the costco where I bought. They told me that they will send email to the store bought within a hour. Where I can return my TV and pickup the replacement. Maybe because they are making good sale (I just don't know). But, it cannot be an excuse. I just like to make my point and share online. But definitely taking my business to elsewhere I can be appreciate and enjoy my shopping there.

This is to describe an experience that I had with COSTCO, venture drive, Pleasant Hill Duluth, GA. Today I, my mom and 2.5 year old daughter went to COSTCO, with my husband's COSTCO membership card (I am not included as an account holder). A person at the entrance checked my card and let all of us in. We shopped for 2 hours on an extremely busy and hot Saturday morning, waited in the queue for our turn to pay, the cashier tells me that I cannot buy those items because I am not a member (until that moment I was completely unaware that I couldn't shop, because I have shopped at the same COSTO and used my husband's card).

I asked the cashier if I can pay using my credit card or can they call my husband to confirm his identity. They forwarded me to their manager. I repeated the incidence and requested if they could call and confirm my identity, as even our Bank does the same procedure, he told me that since there are already two members on the card, one of them needs to step down and add me as member. I had to tell him that we can take care of this when my husband is here, but let me check this out. He states "that's against our policy". I again asked him, if he could call and confirm my husband's identity, he stated that he cannot, as there are many customers waiting in the line. I am very furious because, nobody, neither the manager nor the customer care addressed my concern and helped me find a solution to the current situation, instead everybody was focused on getting me a membership.

I have two questions for them: 1). Why the employee at the entrance let me in, even after checking the card that had my husband photo ID? 2) Why I had to compromise, because there is a fluke in the system and the employees were not performing their job of checking the photo ID at the entrance? I have launched a complain with COSTCO customer care line and they stated that somebody from the Duluth location will contact me. Just don't know. I am sure that I will never shop at COSTCO until somebody resolves this. Nobody should have a similar experience because of fluke in the system.

This is the weirdest thing to me. Citi and Costco had ample time to do this right and completely failed. I wanted to pay my account with Amex and found out they closed it. The letters they send did for sure not reach me. Is now August, still don't have a card, sent message, chatted, called... I will never use this card in my life, I have better Visa cards that can be used. That is the only reason I still buy at Costco.

Don't order anything online. I placed an order back in June (it is now August). It has still not shipped. Every week I phone to see why and they tell me the vendor has it and it's shipping tomorrow. I will receive a confirmation email in 24 hours. Well nothing happens. A week later I phone back and am told the same thing, a week later... This is still ongoing. I wish I had never placed the order in the first place. Imagine living with no furniture for 3 months... I will NEVER use Costco online again!!!

I got a laptop from Costco in Nov 2015, in 6 months the laptop died down and as advised by COSTCO team I sent it to HP Service center for repair. HP checked and said that the laptop died down due to water damage in motherboard and it's not covered under warranty. I used the laptop till previous day night when it was working fine and first thing in the morning when I tried to switch it on the laptop was dead. There is no way water spilled into my laptop, it's not my fault and I am sure it's a faulty laptop but I am penalised since there is no way I could prove it to COSTCO or HP team.

Now I have to pay $380 to fix the laptop for a laptop which was $650. This is ridiculous. It's very painful that for no mistake of mine I am being penalised. This totally shattered my trust on Costco and HP. I have been with Costco for almost three years as an executive member but Costco completely washed off their hands in this case. It's very disappointing and frustrating experience for me.

I am an optometrist in the state of Houston, Texas. I have been practicing since 2002 and have my own practice but don't have an optical lab in my practice. So I decided to have my daughter's prescription filled at the Costco on Gessner Rd in Houston, Texas store #675. I prescribed my daughter the eyeglasses prescription myself. I am very particular about my daughter's prescription because she had 3 strabismus surgeries (misalignment surgery of the eyes) and she is only 4 years old! I am also very aware of the tolerance table ANSI Z80.1. For those who doesn't know what the ANSI table is, it is a table to see if your eyeglasses are done correctly and within tolerance limit that the prescription was written by your eye doctor.

For my case, I prescribed a -1.75 cylinder and axis of 002 for her left eye. According to the ANSI table, the axis can only be off by 2 degrees. In my case, the first time the optician dispensed the eyeglasses, the axis was verified at 5 degrees. So I took it back and request a remake of the same lens. When I took the eyeglasses to my office again and verify the same lens, it was again at axis 5 instead of 002! My lensometer at my office is calibrated! However, this time the right lens was off! The right lens, I wrote -2.25 cylinder and axis 002. This time I verified the right lens and it was done at 004 degrees! When I took back the eyeglasses the third time, one of their opticians verified and she said, "well maybe we couldn't make it to the way you want it." Seriously, when I write a prescription may it be for my daughter or my patient, I do expect their lab to make the eyeglasses to be exactly like what I prescribed or within the ANSI standard!

Honestly, because I am an optometrist and I verify my own prescription that I prescribed to my daughter that I knew this. What about the average consumer? They have no clue if their eyeglasses are done correctly or within the ANSI standard. One thing for sure, I will not be referring ANY patients to COSTCO optical! I care about my patients and care about their eyesight. I will not be sending patients to their optical department.

MY ADVICE TO THE CONSUMERS OUT THERE is if you want to fill your prescription at Costco then make sure you take the eyeglasses back to the prescribing optometrist or ophthalmologist to have them verify the RX to see if it meets the ANSI standard. However, if the practicing optometrist is adjacent to the optical at Costco, I wouldn't trust if that doctor would tell you if it met the ANSI standard as well. If there are too many remakes with the optometrist adjacent to the Costco optical, it will reflect badly on them as well. I am very disappointed at the Costco optical and got my refund back. I do not have the time to have them remake the 3rd time and then having to verify myself once again! This is single vision and their optical cannot even make it correctly let alone progressive lenses (no line bifocal)!

Both Costco and Citi group **. We knew already Citi ** when it comes to customer service but never expected Costco to be this bad. Without our knowledge they stated that our membership is closed but we are able to use the card to enter Costco and make purchases. Citi is saying we called and complained for lost card and closed the AMex account though we used AMex for Costco purchase till last week of AMex availability for Costco purchases. Now Citi moved the balance to Citi card without issuing anywhere card saying we closed. We never closed the account. This raise serious concern on data compromise. How would I pay online without having an account/card. The representatives in Citi are idiots and do not understand basic knowledge. Very very very pathetic.

Yesterday 07/29/2016 I shopped at Costco in Warrenton, Oregon. I had 6 items which I placed on the conveyor for checkout. I paid and attempted to leave. At the exit I was told I had 1 unpaid item. Let's remember how things work at Costco. Costco controls your coming and going. Costco separates you from your cart until you pay. A Costco employee put an item in my cart without scanning it. This could be a mistake but I doubt it. As I was instructed I did my PERP walk back to counter 1 while an overhead public service announcement was made that I was to be met at checkout 1 with unscanned items.

At 66 years of age I have never felt so ashamed. I am not clueless that I will always be checked at the exit. Every item in my cart will ALWAYS be counted. I stand out. Just saying. Outside the store others apologized for what I experienced. One woman wanted to give me her name and number for my complaint. I told her that I was used to being stopped and having every item counted so it was no big deal but I am not used to being set up as a thief. Remember people Costco controls your cart. Check everything before you leave the counter. Costco employees can easily turn you into a SUSPECT instead of a PROSPECT. Tristan ** was my cashier. I suppose my picture is now on their internal Wall of Shame and on others' phones. I did not sleep last night. My heart raced all night. I am scared.

Costco is the worst! You make us switch from Amex to Visa, and then make it impossible to link accounts to existing Citi accounts for AutoPay! I've spent over 90 minutes trying to get this resolved and am now on hold after getting misinformation from live chat representatives. Still not resolved! Possible discrimination? Ready to cancel Costco and other Citi accounts.

I am a very familiar face in Costco... I like to sample, shop and greet over the past 15 years since living in Sacramento. Today I spot a recliner that had an electric leg. I liked the ease and the cushion was very comfortable. When I decided to just enjoy the moment, I dozed off... I knew I would as many other customers I observed had found something comfortable to rest on. I was awoken by a quick speaking Costco girl. Her fast liner went like this... "maam are you alright? Someone was concerned if you were ok?" I said I am fine. "This chair is so comfortable." And then she ran off. I knew who played me because I refused to buy the vendor's internet packet. And the soft recliner with me on it was right smack dabbed in his view.

Then I dozed off again feeling I can't be doing no harm having dozed off in a recliner with my nice outfit on and my hair in a fashioned style. But lo and behold! She returned. This time "maam, are you going to be doing any shopping? I just wanted to let you know that our concern is going to close in an hour." And she sped off just as fast as she talked. As I looked over at the two vendors acting as if they had just enjoyed the prompted urged on response of the pretty little girl. I talked with the manager who said that the ??? did approach him about me and he said she was just concerned. I said, "Really? By using a snappy voice dent sound like a compassionate concern to me!" And for her to come back again and tell me in a hasty manner. His reply was, "well, we always have to push the customers out the store before closing." Now I see why many poor customer services doesn't start with the clerks but the upper management!

I have not shopped at COSTCO since June 20, the last day they accepted AmEx cards. I just read reviews about the terrible mix-up with their new Citi Visa and will probably be canceling my Costco membership when it comes due. How arrogant of Costco to feel that they can dictate which card and only which card their members can use. Hopefully, more members will complain and stop shopping at Costco until they change their policy and once again accept AmEx. MONEY TALKS! And there are many alternate places to shop and get good prices, i.e., Walmart. PLUS, I used to purchase a lot of my clothing at Costco, but the quality has become so poor that they should be embarrassed! I shall be using a "wait and see" attitude concerning AmEx and Costco!

I love Costco, except for the fact they sell faulty Samsung tvs. Samsung's 2012 recall only covered selected model numbers, thousands of people are complaining with Consumer Affairs with no resolution! Beware, your Samsung tv will start clicking and fail to turn on. I don't understand why Costco would continue to sell Samsung!? I bought a 60 inch and spent a lot of money and I expected my tv to last longer than 4 years.

We have been a member of Costco since 2008 and have always used our American Express credit card. Knowing Costco changed over to Visa we figured there were items that Costco had always provided us that we would continue to purchase... and no more... and that includes gasoline. I went online to order my new Costco Anywhere Visa card and it was approved and am now waiting for the card to arrive. I received an email saying there were transactions on this new card (which we have not received) that may have not been approved.

To resolve this issue I called the number they provided and after 30 minutes I'm still waiting. And to add to that it's very distracting to our business to hear that robot person saying "we're sorry to keep you waiting... blah blah blah" constantly. We were in a group setting and heard another person trying to get through to Costco and after one hour finally got through and didn't have their issue resolved. WE WILL CANCEL THIS CARD and curtail all transactions with Costco. It was a nice run. Still waiting... Still waiting... And now it's one hour and 10 minutes later and I'm told the Citibank representative can't talk to me since I'm not the primary card holder. I would put my spouse through this??? DONE WITH COSTCO!!!

Seriously they are soo rude and whenever you need to ask something they just ignore you or give you a short answer that doesn't really help. The only nice person is the middle eastern guy.
