Stay away, as others have said… Made the mistake of ordering before reading reviews…. Got some standard email with zero next steps or timeline … Not what you want to hear… Wish I never seen the ad for them.

Chubbies' customer service has room for improvement. With many consumers feeling fatigued by foreign call centers, communication challenges, and extended wait times to reach a representative, the current trend in customer service is moving towards digital channels such as email, text, or chat. Chubbies has adopted a primarily automated approach, aiming to enhance the customer experience; however, this method can result in delayed responses and lengthy chat queues, often redirecting inquiries to email. For example, customers may receive messages indicating that an agent will follow up via email if one is not immediately available. While Chubbies offers quality products, the complexity of their customer service process may lead some consumers to seek alternatives with more accessible support, such as Tommy Bahama, LL Bean, or Columbia. As a result, I prefer to shop with businesses that prioritize personal interaction in customer service.

I’ve never had to return shorts for myself before — the quality is truly unmatched and worth every penny. That said, I captain a volleyball team and order team shorts from Chubbies every year, usually in the same sizes. This year, we had a few changes, and I ended up needing to make two separate exchanges. Dany and Erin made the whole process incredibly easy. I just sent a quick text, and they took care of everything. They even reassured me that it was no problem at all after I repeatedly apologized for being a pain. Being able to text and talk to a real person for help is a game-changer. The customer service was outstanding from start to finish. Cheers to another volleyball season fitted by Chubbies!

I’ve been buying from Chubbies Shorts for the last 4 years. In those 4 years, I never had a problem with the shorts I bought. They are well worth the price. When I bought an inseam length that I did not like, I wanted to return or exchange them. They could not make the return/exchange process any smoother! When I went to return or exchange, they gave me the option of a refund or a store credit. Liking all of their shorts I previous bought, I decided to opt for the store credit. To sweeten the deal, Chubbies gave me an extra $20.00 worth of store credit for free to use towards my exchange. Never have I come across a company that wanted me to be satisfied with my order that they’ll give me $20.00 to upgrade from what I was originally purchasing. They now have a loyal customer. Other companies should take note and follow suit.

Extremely disappointing experience with Chubbies. I’ve been a loyal customer with over 10 pairs of their shorts, so this review comes from someone who has genuinely supported the brand. I ordered an item and it arrived in the wrong size — mistakes happen, sure — but when they sent a replacement, it was also the wrong size.

In the USA 31% are overweight. 42.4% are obese. The biggest size at Chubbies is 3x and many of those items were sold out when I looked. There aren't any "chubby" sizes here,. they are just average (somewhat over priced) sizes when compared to King Size, DXL, Amazon etc. And before anyone mentions "yeah but the quality of our products blah blah blah," those other companies must be doing something right too because all of them have been around for a long time. I've lost over 60lbs just by eating better and moving a little bit so I guess in good now that I'm a regular old average 3x (lol).

Don’t trust what you order here. I ordered merch for gifts, noticed they never came in, checked my junk mail, had messages that they errored in their available stock and would refund my money. Just disappointed that they allowed the order to even go through when they didn’t have the merchandise at all. Btw, I had made 3 different orders in a period of 24 hours as I rethought about my Xmas list, all 3 orders were canceled citing oversight.

First of all they have no phone number to call just a number you can text. No one gives you their name or title so you have no idea who you are speaking to. I asked for my tracking number and they texted a link that stated no tracking info available. I was told my item had not left the warehouse and I placed the order on 8/20/23. Very poor customer service, inconsistent info given by employee via text.

They refused to check for the parcel and then ship it out to me. instead for about 1/2 a year plus it sat in their shipments received. they don't process their inbound or returns. Gave me a bureaucratic runaround and it was pretty awful. If you care about good customer service and a company that offers decent experience. Avoid Chubbies at all costs. Seems like they are amateur hour.

3 weeks after placing my order, I had yet to receive any type of update from them regarding if my new order had shipped.
