Horrible!! Do not buy anything at Belk! They will charge for shipping both ways so you will lose if you return an item. They will send whatever crap they have, not what you thought you ordered, and if you want to return it you will lose money! They are a SCAM.

I received an online item damaged. And initiated a return the same day it arrived. I took a picture of the damage as instructed. Their review process takes 3-5 days. The email returned simply said, your refund quest was reviewed and denied. No other information. Do not buy from Belk because you won’t be able to return it. In the email there is no customer service phone number to call and one can’t initiate another return. Cannot bring item into a Belk store either, as there are no stores in this state.

Tried to cancel an order I no longer needed after an hour of placing it but there was no direct way to cancel. I had to send a request to be reviewed hopefully before it ships. Awfully and disappointing

First time customer and the the Belk app doesn't put the right information in so I had to cancel the first order and make another. Then I make another on August 8th.2025. The last 4 days it keeps telling me the order is getting delivered by the end of the day and never comes. The company is responsible for the shipping company they use and I can't even get a date of delivery. Then you call customer service and they talk to you like you're stupid and never tracked or ordered anything online before!!
I told I'm not stupid and your company plays games by making me think my order is coming the last 4 days now and it doesn't!! Not impressed with this company at all!! Don't recommend ordering from them!! They don't know what they are doing. When your waiting on something and it keeps telling you the order will arrive and it doesn't and the company thinks it's no big deal. That's a shitty scamming company it shows too me. Waste of time and money!!

If you want to order items online then have to return them, be prepared for Belk to steal your money. Over 10 business days and still nothing. I purchase online all the time and have NEVER had any company take so long after the item was received back to issue a refund. I think they hope customers will forget. As for customer service FORGET IT. No one in America. They don’t understand English like most customer service depts now. It’s a total joke. How Belk is still in business is baffling. It must be the customer's moneys they are stealing

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Belk. After placing an order, I never received any confirmation or updates via email or text. Concerned, I called their customer service the next morning, only to be informed that they couldn't assist me with tracking the order or even canceling it. The level of customer service I encountered was shockingly poor—truly below zero. It's frustrating to deal with a company that seems to have no regard for its customers. I will certainly think twice before shopping with them again.

Ordering from Belk's is not an enjoyable experience. You never know if your order is going to be correct, and good luck on returning anything. They received my return a few weeks ago, and I've yet to receive a refund. I reached out to them three times over a two week period regarding this, and it wasn't until I stated I was filing a complaint that their outsourced customer service company called me and later emailed me telling me they're experiencing a high amount of emails, and asked me to wait another 5-7 days. Belk needs to staff accordingly. I mean if they're already outsourcing, so they're saving a fortune. Don't punish the customers with greed. Still waiting on that refund, so I will be filing a complaint.

7/30/25 I went Belk at Crabtree Mall, NC. to buy the business cloth for job interview. I was exhausted but Ellen who is the online OMNI manager took her time to find the different size of pants that may fit me to try on plus she took me to meet Aura who will help me order online if the size is not available in the store. Two of them made my day and delivering the incredible service. Thank you very much.

They have no idea what is going on. Ordered 7/9 and package wasn't shipped. Order was cancelled and new order and order number issued on 7/17. Called today (7/24) and they said that this package was picked up by USPS on two separate occasions. Yet they take no responsibility for shipment. USPS has no knowledge of shipping. I wish Belk had an option to speak with someone who speaks English without a deep accent.

I had to wait 15 business days to get a refund for an online order and then they shorted me on the amount of the refund. Now I have to wait 5 more business days for the difference to be refunded. Plus this places charges to ship and return an item. What a scam!

I will NEVER shop at a BELK store again. They will not return items that you have a receipt for the price you pay. I didn't want the money back. I would have used a gift card but they said no. I won't waste my money in this store again.

Place an order for granddaughter Easter dresses. Found saw it was the shipping address within two seconds tried to change it. So then press submit to cancel order. Could not verify that it was cancel. Place call within 30 mins, was on hold. Nobody came on. Finally hung up and then walked out. Got in the car and called again and then finally connected with someone. Upon which she said, "Too late." It has been later than 15 mins. Now mind you I had been on the phone waiting and it has now been less than a hour. I could try to change with UPS or FedEx and we all know how that works. They have my money so they do not care.

I made an online purchase and returned it because it didn’t fit. I had to pay $10.95 to shipping and handling then I was charged an additional $10.95 because it was an online order. So in the end I was credited less than $2. If I had known this I would had donated the item. I reached out to Belk and was told that was their policy for online orders. Shame on Belk for such poor service. I will never purchase anything from them and will unsubscribe to all of their ads

I ordered a dress online from Belk that did not fit me. Because I was sick with a cold, I did not drive to the Belk store in Winston Salem, NC until about 6 weeks after purchase. The representative there could not have been more helpful and cheerful. I am relieved she refunded the full price and only needed my Visa card to do it. Thank you!

I am using their credit card. Their customer service is pathetic and not up to mark. I am traveling abroad and trying to use their card which is not going through. I called them multiple times now and every time I called them they assured me after verification that it's good to go but every time I was embarrassed after making a transaction as it didn't work.

I placed three orders before Christmas. The first order I was sent a men’s button down shirt that was unbuttoned, extremely wrinkled (it looked like it had been crumpled at the bottom of a hamper) and no tags on it. The shoes I ordered were sent without a shoe box and quite obviously another returned item that had been worn. The second order I received the wrong size and color of the item I ordered. The third order was also the wrong size, style and color. I will never order from Belk again.

Horrible customer service. I tried to return an item and they said they would send a shipping label via email. It’s been weeks now and no shipping label. Called customer service several times for them to create case numbers. They have lost a customer and I will close my account. With their shady practices, I foresee Belk closing and going out of business very soon.

Belk is a complete rip off!! Do not shop here!! Because I didn't use my credit card they canceled me after less than 1 year. It caused my credit score to go down more than 15 points. This is a horrible storeto shop at their coupons and rewards are a bunch of bull c***. Total rip-off. Go anywhere else but this store. Customer service is horrendous also.

I made a purchase for $167.28 for Christmas gifts, and was charged immediately, Belk states that you don't get charged until the items ship.. That's not my problem. The problem is that I get emailed that my complete order was cancelled and customer service can't give me the details.. I have money available because they charged me already, The shipping and Billing is correct.. I don't understand why it's cancelled.. If the items are out of stock just say so.. Never Again Belk.. I'll spend my $$ with someone else! NOTE: As I'm typing this my order has just been refunded in full! It wasn't a $$ thing..

Ordered luggage online and received one piece that was not in a box with labels taped all over the case. It was scratched and the inside dirty. Looked as if used. Returned and have been waiting on a replacement. Called customer service and they stated replacements were not a priority. They did verify that the return was received. Very poor customer service. Unethical sales practices. Also informed that I could not return to the store. Item had to be mailed. Disappointed.

I purchased two rings from Belk online. I ordered these rings knowing they would need to be sized, so I took them to a long time jeweler in the area and had them sized and soldered together. I informed him the diamonds were real based on the description on their web page. Many of the diamonds turned blue during the process. He stated this only happens if the stones are treated/enhanced stones or lab grown. I had not informed him to take precautions as nothing in the description mentioned either of these things. They have now been sized and soldered together, which cost me an additional $160 to add the additional gold. I spent a lot of money on these rings and am very disappointed and confused how this could have happened since I purchased from a department store.
Next issue is when I showed him the ads to prove it stated they were real diamonds, he pointed out based on the photos shown on online page, and the rings I was sent, there were subtle differences he noticed right away that I wouldn’t have picked up. I did not get legitimate merchandise, I received inferior products. The stones that turned blue are not even suppose to be in the ring, black prongs holding the chocolate diamonds are suppose to be there, the black prongs are not present in either ring but clearly shown in the online ad. This is fraud! The subtle differences were not obvious to me but once I showed the jeweler the original ads he spotted the differences right away. Once it was pointed out it was painfully obvious I did not receive legitimate Le avian rings or what was shown online when I made the order.
I wasted an additional $160 having the rings sized up and soldered together before learning they were fake imitations. This explains why they don’t ship in Le Vian boxes like everyone else who sells Le vian jewelers does. However I have never purchased jewelry before so I had no idea I was being scammed. Now I am waiting to see if they will allow me to return the items for a full refund of the original payment even though they were altered considering I assumed I was being sent and sold legitimate rings or I would never have purchased or altered them. 11/13/2024 Order #: **

Placed online orders, shipping is the worst. I ordered 3 quality of the same item and they were shipped in 3 separate packages. Another order I waited two weeks, label created with no movement, emailed to check status and half was out of stock and the rest re-shipped, so had I not emailed them my order would still be pending. I wish I had the option to pick up at store, but neither of my orders had that option.

I ordered a pair of sneakers from Belk online. When they arrived, they were obviously used. The soles were dirty and they smelled. I returned them at the store (the store clerk even commented and confirmed that they looked used) but I was only refunded the cost of the shoes, not the shipping. She told me I had to contact customer service for that. Called customer service and they told me there was nothing they could do and would absolutely not refund the shipping. It would be one thing if I had changed my mind and wanted to return them - but I was sold used shoes and Belk couldn't even take responsibility. Lost a customer.

Their credit card gives you Belk Bucks to spend, but the selection of items you can "buy" with these lists are usually out of stock and the housewares are cheap imported products that fall apart or lose their shape in the dishwasher. If you order online and return items that don't fit in the local Florence, SC and Hartsville, SC stores, they treat you like you're an anomaly or weirdo. No way can this company stay in business with an outdated business model which they refuse to change with modern contemporary society.

I ordered a shirt for my husband. It came damaged with a pull in the material. I called customer service and they don’t have another one so I have to return it. My only choice is to go to the store or repackage it myself and drop it off at a post office. The person on the phone told me I did not need to package it I could just drop it off with the return label, but that is not the case. Too much hassle to order online with Belk.

One customer service agent told me they would price match a sale price I found at another store. I purchased the item online as instructed and then reached out to have my price adjusted. They said they do not accept price matches. So now I’ve paid 100 for a set of pajamas that were sold elsewhere for 35. They refused to cancel my order when I requested so now I have to return the pajamas and lose even more money on shipping. $25-30 dollars spent on taxes and shipping for an item I won’t keep and would not have bought if they were upfront/clear about their policies. Unacceptable!!

On 10/12 was in the Valdosta store shopping for another Body Shaper due to a recent mastectomy. I asked for assistance from Associate: 028316. I advise I was wearing a Maidenform brand and I wanted to try another brand. The young lady had very little knowledge about the products in that department but I took the information, thank her and continued to search. During the search, I stopped and stood in the department for maybe twenty minutes or so because I realized that I had not sent out an important reminder text to the group of Ladies that I meet with on Saturday nights.
After I made my decision on two BodyShapers, I left the department and walked down to the men's department to find my husband a belt. After about 20 minutes a young made came to me and made a joke, I ask could he check me out with the three items (two shapers and one belt). He looked at the the young lady, on my right, it was the associate that advised me about the shaper, the man that worked for your company said she can help you.
I looked at the associate and said, "Are you looking for me," she said yes (she looked to see what was in my hand). I said I have shopped at Belk for years and NEVER had I had an associate follow me from one department to look for me in another department. This made me very uncomfortable, my husband said it best, she thought I was going to steal. She was very obvious, I am asking for training for this associate. Also tell this young lady, Belk have security cameras and I am sure security, that could have watch me and not make me feel VERY uncomfortable and disrespected.
I have a Belk card and I often shop online. If you asked the young lady, I am sure she will remember me, I was pleasant and kind, even after I realized that she was operating in decent. I only Pray that she is HONEST, TRUTHFUL and FORTHCOMING and not LIE just to save her job (smh) in regards to her actions based on her suspicious thoughts about me. What happened to the customer is always right??? I have such a bad taste in my mouth... I bought a beautiful crown and ivy 2 piece pajama set. I signed up for a new credit card and received a discount. I was very happy. However after washing it shrank. I went to the Mooresville location for a return. I was berated for not keeping the tags or the receipts. I wanted to show the receipt on my bank account but that wasn't enough. I had never wanted to return something so beautiful but now to small. The supervisor Rekha was very short with me and actually had a smirk on her face. Unfortunately I have never experienced this before and will avoid coming back. Oh, BTW I was an owner of a franchise and my grandparents owned a department store. I know what quality customer care is all about!

I buy a hat with them, was my first order so they supposed to give me $10 off, I try to use the code, don’t work, so I emailed them and wait 2 days with no response. The hat arrive at my house, it was a gift present to my sister that is not from USA, she open and I was mortified, the hat has stained of makeup inside and a stain at the back, and the stitching in the back is fading, I call back to complain and they wanna exchange, but my sister is leaving Saturday and she will not have the replacement before she go, they don’t do anything about it other than repeating the same answers like a robot. Please don’t buy from this store, is a bad customer service and you will lose your money and time.

Ordered pair of shoes and a designer dress online. Shoes were $140.00 on sale and dress more than that. Shoes arrived missing one shoe from box and of course now “sold out” online. Dress had been worn with filth present under both armpits and a red a lipstick stain on the center of a lemon yellow dress. I’ve thrown clothes away cleaner than I received supposedly new! Called customer service and emailed customer service but did not receive any acknowledgment from Belk. I’m about done with Belk. I’ll be taking my business to Saks or Nordstrom.
