    I made a purchase on 6/4/24 and tried to return it today. This was a gift! I make lots of gift purchases in advance… They only wanted to give me back $6 on a $70 purchase. Your 30 day return is a joke! I will not be spending anymore money at Belk…. Enjoy going under because I’m sure I won’t be the last customer you lose.

    On June 29, 2024, I placed an online order for a Tahari two-piece suit. On July 5th, I received a FedEx plastic bag on my porch (see below). I could not believe that a $200 suit was shipped in a plastic bag. Unfortunately, the pants were not included. I contacted Belk's customer service to report the error. I requested an exchange, not a refund. I just wanted the lovely suit I ordered. To my surprise, the exchange/return process requires a waiting period before a return label is emailed. After the label is received, I must return the jacket to the post office or FedEx center, and after the return is processed, the suit I paid for on July 1st will be shipped out. Based on my estimate, I will have my suit in approximately 3 - 4 weeks. Totally unacceptable. I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was placed on hold for 30 minutes. No one came to the line. Absolutely unbelievable. I am being penalized for their shipping error. This is my last Belk purchase.

    6/28/24 If I could give Belk’s customer service and online ordering a 0, I would. I have been a loyal Belk customer for more than 20 years. I understand reorganization but customer service three years later is beyond the lowest in my experience. I am referring to online assistance primarily. I been hung up on without call back, transferred back to the automated line when someone didn’t want to assist. Why record the message if no one is listening to improve services? They used to be excellent, but no more.

    Belk Rewards are now a facade. The points were automatically applied to my checkout but caused an issue and wouldn’t allow my order to be processed. It seems that every effort is used not to apply the points to your order. Again, I am referring to online. I was transferred to Synchrony to assist. A customer service representative by the name of Shannon said she was placing me on hold, but instead sent me back to the automated line. I guess is their way of punishing a customer they don’t want to deal with. An hour and 4 people later, I GIVE UP!!! You’ve lost a loyal customer! There are too many companies with great customer service to waste time and effort with Belk. I end up feeling upset each time I try to place an order. FRUSTRATING!!!!

    Belk cut my credit limit in half even though I never missed a payment and had a low credit limit in first place. They treated me like a crook. I am 67 on my own home and have a great retirement. Will never shop Belk again.

    Do not get a Belk card. If you ever need customer service (which is outsourced) you be told in a nice way that there is nothing they can do for you. After not being happy with the rep on the phone, I sent an email and immediately got one back saying "sorry we couldn't help you". There is nothing that Belk sells that I can't find somewhere else. It is sad that it has come to this as someone who worked at Belk.

    If I could give them zero stars I would. Made an online purchase totaling $105.67. Returned the items for a refund and only received $85.07. Three different people, including the floor manager, in customer support could not explain the $20.60 difference. They told me they don't refund tax and they tax you on your refund, what??? Totally incompetent and a huge rip off.

    I would give it a zero! Avoid at all cost! They outsource their call center to South Africa. There is no customer service whatsoever! I want to return an item, and there's only 30 days to do so, and they charge for the return! This was the first time I needed to return something, and I live out-of-state and not close to any stores but we'll be traveling and close to a store in just over 30 days. They refused several times to accommodate my request or even discuss it. I asked to talk to a manager, and they refused that request too, saying that they are all in meetings... Be warned: this is not a legitimate on-line retailer!

    Belk used to be quality clothes and the sales were always amazing! I have pants for over 15 years old that I have worn hundreds of times and they still look brand new! I just ordered about 15 items. ALL items are cheap material and horribly made! I am sending back everything but the socks and children’s play dress and kids swimsuit. Most are nothing like the pictures. There are damage. The dress has a belt that was broken! One shirt was turned inside out and looked like it had been in the bottom of someone’s closet for the last year! Three smelled horribly! I will NEVER buy from Belk again! So said the three go to places for quality are Belk, Dillard's and Macy's. All of the quality has reached a level of dismal workmanship. Worst thing of all I ordered them all at once and they come in multiple packages over weeks of time. Then the amounts don’t add up on your credit card!

    Once again I received the wrong item from Belk. This is the third or fourth time this has happened in the last six months. I don't have this problem when I order from Kohl's or Amazon. They need to hire better people.

    This store has changed everything around. You cannot find anything you are looking for and their selection looks like the Amish delegation has sold their wares to Belk. Everything has Ruffles…. Sleeves, hems, etc. and if you happen to find one nice dress, there is only one of it and always in a Small. It has gone downhill faster than a skier on a mountaintop. The place was crowded and only 2 checkouts in the whole store were open with lines 10 people long! I will never shop in that store again. Wasted 1 1/2 hrs of my life that I will never get back!

    The bracelet I ordered was broken when I received it. I called Belk customer service and reported it, twice. I was told that I would be getting a refund for the bracelet. I have yet to receive the refund. I will NEVER order from Belk again!!

    I was a faithful Belk shopper, but will never be back. Tried to purchase a couple hundred dollars worth and was told that I’d save quite a bit by using my Belk card. Card was declined, so I used another card, spending about $50 more than if I’d used the card. Salesperson didn’t offer any help. Called Synchrony Credit when I got home. It took me at least 5 minutes to speak with a person and I was told she didn’t know why my card was declined. Balance is $0. Spoke to a manager who told me it was my fault for not calling them while I was there. "Yeah, I’m going to hold up a line while I’m pushing buttons and screaming REPRESENTATIVE." The manager hung up on me.

    I ordered a dress and changed my mind. I wanted to cancel it but I never received a email. Tried to call customer care several times and was on hold forever. Finally when I spoke to someone they said you only have 30min. To cancel. Manager/supervisor was no help but tried to get smart with me, unprofessional. Never shopping with Belk again. First time in years now I remember why.

    I placed an order 10 days ago online. I checked tracking. It said “TICKET MADE…AWAITING CARRIER PICKUP. This was for 10 days. I called their customer service and was told ITEM IS LOST. I needed the outfit for an upcoming wedding. I’m so upset. No one called or emailed me about it being lost… If I didn’t call I would still be waiting for it. I paid for it on credit card. Still waiting for refund!!!! DON'T BUY FROM BELK.

    I purchased a pair of Huggies earrings from Belk.com. The earrings were so small that they could not fit a baby's ear. It was also cheaply made and looked like it would break after one wearing. It was so small it would not fit into the holes in the display they sent it in. I paid $98 and change in total, including taxes and shipping. I returned the item agreeing with the $9.99 return shipping fee. My refund was $77 and change. Although I understand companies wanting to recoup their shipping fees, if the item is not as advertised, why am I paying so much in shipping? I received one email stating my refund would be $88 and change and then I received another email stating it would be $77 and change. WHAT A RIP OFF! I called customer service and all they did was repeat the same information over and over again. I just wanted the $88 they said I would be refunded. DO NOT BUY FROM BELK.COM!

    I received 3+ coupons on my app and I was looking for my son some things. I found a shirt and wanted to use my loyalty Thursday discount and it would let me. Then I tried to use the 60% off select brands. I could not. The cashier did not want to explain why I could not use any of the coupons and she was not polite at all. This will be my last Belk trip for a long while. This is the third time this has happened.

    My birthday is in January. I always get lots of free this and that for my birthday-with Belk it was $10 Belk rewards. I suffered a traumatic brain injury which I'm only disclosing for I'm sure that's why their little scheme was successful in my case. I went online to order mainly faith tee shirts (Jesus). None of them fit so off to the store I went to return them. That's when I realized most were from "marketplace" and couldn't be returned to the store. Truly good customer service would allow this and send them where they need to go. They gave me the phone # which only gives you a voicemail. I called several times. Left messages each time to no avail. When I called the store spoke with the manager & explained my problem she gave me their email address. Thank God! After several emails I finally received a return mail via email label. I constantly check my credit card which has yet to show the return.

    Today I filed a dispute with the girl who answered the phone of their credit card company. I AM DONE WITH BELK!!!! Ten dollars is certainly NOT worth all the time-stress and effort on anyone's part. Beware of their small print!!! I should have read all their reviews before I ever stepped foot in their store for they're ALL bad! I also learned they will deduct the shipping back to marketplace from the return amount. What a huge scam!!!!

    I had purchased a Belk's credit card which at the Time my Credit limit was 2000$ of which I purchased about 300$ in perfumes. About two months later while attempting to purchase more perfumes my card was declined. I called the company and a Representative informed me that that credit limit was decreased to 320$!!!! If this don't beat all! How are you going to give me a certain credit amount and then whenever I feel like it and as often, you decrease my amount

    1) The store is so filthy. Looks like it's never vacuumed or dusted. 2) You will never stop receiving emails no matter how many times you unsubscribe or ask them to stop. They are so desperate that they harass you via email.

    I purchased a blouse and a pair of earrings which arrived yesterday, Tuesday - January 16, 2024. The blouse was not what I ordered and earrings were very tiny… not like what Belk advertises. Bottom line please do not waste your money. I was had.

    I returned a pair of shoes. They said they received them on Dec 11. I did not receive a refund. I had to call them on Dec 29. I paid 38.50 for the shoes. Was told I would pay 9.98 for shipping and my return would be 28 and change. They refunded me 17.50 on Dec 29, I contacted them. They told me 20 was for shipping.

    Ordered a 3 carat total weight diamond bridal set (UC 0032964126564). Order cost $2702.95. On 11/22/23, FedEx called us and said they were delivering an empty package to our home. Belk had shipped this ring in a white padded bag as opposed to a box. The bag had gotten stuck in a piece of machinery, we still have the bag, and FedEx claims the contents was lost between Memphis and Pittsburgh. All of this was explained to Belk, but they still refuse to issue a refund or provide a replacement shipment of the ring.

    Every Belk representative says the dollar amount is above their authority and that it would have to go to “corporate” for a decision. I have called Belk every day since 11/23/23. This is horrific customer service. The only mistake we made was purchasing this ring from Belk. Belk's issue is with FedEx not with us as the customer but is punishing us as it appears they don’t want to provide a replacement or refund. Per FedEx - Belk has even filed not one, but two claims with FedEx, and still refuses to provide a re-shipment of the ring or a refund to us.

    It's 5 days before Christmas and my spouse and I are looking at this sweater for our son. After a Google search, it showed that Belk was the only site that carried a Small. We were about to place our order for the sweater, but we decided to read the reviews here. Out of almost 300 reviews, 91% of them are 1 starred which deterred us from purchasing. Belk is doing a terrible job in customer service. Thank you to all the reviews who helped us decide to NOT waste our time and money here. I hope they realize to fix their standards.

    I've placed several orders through Belk for Christmas. I have 3 boys and ordered shoes and clothes for all of them. They didn't deliver the Adidas. Which are sold out now.. They delivered Sperrys instead of Hey Dudes on the second order, and on the third they sent a boys' 7 in a smashed up torn box instead of men's 10.5 Hey Dudes. Now NONE of my children have shoes for Christmas. Not to mention several shirts and hoodies were either missing or wrong. I've ordered through Walmart for years and have never had this many problems. Out of 3 orders and over 20 items, in the last few weeks.. they got none of them right or complete. I will never order from them again. Saying I'm dissatisfied or disappointed is a gross understatement when you're a broke single mom just trying to provide basic necessities for your kids at Christmas... just unbelievable. Ruined holiday experience altogether.

    I ordered a 5x8 rug from Belk. It wasn't what I was hoping for and I wanted to return it. The online return center was easy but when I took the rug to Walgreens FedEx onsite center the manager would not allow me to return it. (She didn't want to fool with it.) I took it where Belk directed me to take it but the manager said they don't have to accept it. I called the Belk store and they will not let you return Marketplace merchandise at the store. They couldn't offer me any more suggestions.

    This Black Friday I ordered 4 apparel items. One $25 item was delivered to Virginia when the order placed was given my Florida address. I called Belk, they acknowledged mistake, but told me since they resourced the item to a marketplace vendor, there was nothing they could do. They recommended I call this marketplace vendor. I explained I purchased from Belk, why do I have to call the vendor? Unbelievable, they will not stand by their merchandise. Now they took my money, but failed to deliver items to me. Seems like stealing to me. I sent a email that has been ignored.

    My Mom had a stroke and I am having to take care of her. She had a Belk gift card and 10.00 birthday bucks. She wanted some flannel sheets. We finally found some but it was going to be 9.99 shipping for under 100.00, which is ridiculous compared to other sites. So we decided to look for Christmas gifts. We got a total of 102.00 but when we put in her 10.00 birthday bucks it wanted to charge us the shipping again so we took out everything but the sheets. I got her gift card and birthday bucks in and her Belk charge card but then it was having trouble processing it so I put my card in which it took but when I looked back it took her birthday bucks out so now she not only had to pay shipping but lost her 10.00. If we had known that we wouldn't have ordered anything. I will never deal with Belk again. There are plenty other places that want my business and will treat me right.

    When I received the bag it was of poor quality and obviously not worth the money. I tried to return to Belk and they informed me that Belk Marketplace purchases must be returned to the vendor. Vendor was RMBK Enterprises. I have not had 4 exchanges with them and still have not gotten return instructions for the item. It feels like a scam. Do not order from this company.

    I screenshot a Xmas tree that I really wanted, screenshot showed 50%off and with coupon it would cost 49.99. When I got to the Martinsville Belk Store, it rang up 129.99, I showed the clerk the screenshot and what it stated, so she called manager, he said it was a mistake and when someone seen it they fixed it. He refused to honor the proof I showed him. I traveled to the store for nothing and manager refused to honor what I screenshot off the Belk online page. This should have been honored so this was so unprofessional.

    I ordered a pair of supposedly Free People jeans from Belk. I seriously doubt they were truly Free People! I returned them exactly as directed and used their required shipping label. A week later I was notified of my “partial” refund. It was NOT the refund an email had notified me about and was less than half of the cost of the order. I have tried emailing and calling them and have gotten nowhere, including being hung up on. I am reporting them to the BBB today!

    For a long time I've been purchasing much of my clothing, shoes, and household items at Belk - frequently online. I always trusted them for good quality and fair return policy. But DO NOT TRUST online purchasing from Belk now. They now have "Marketplace Vendors". Their new vendor's merchandise is horrible quality and is nearly impossible to return and the cost of returning frequently exceeds the cost of the item!! VERY disappointed in Belk!!

    Warning!!! Make sure you look before you buy. Do not buy from Belk market place vendor. I had to return an item and was unable to take it to the Belk store for a refund....I had to pay for shipping which was more than the price I paid for the returned item. I just think if you order from Belk you should be able to have it refunded at Belk. Now I don't know how long it will be before I can get my money back..

    I've done business with Belk since I was old enough to do business with Belk. Ordered a rug for for my kitchen. $21 and some change. Got something that might fit Babie's house but I don't think she'd want it with the crappy quality. Oh and belk says they can't return my money because it's a marketplace vendor? One that is an obvious scam? I paid my money to belk. They should refund it!

    I Made a $312.** purchase (which consisted of several clothing items and 1 pair of shoes) at Belk store located in McDonough, Ga approximately 2 weeks ago. I returned one skirt and 1 pair of shoes with my receipt however I did not have my debit card because it had been misplaced. I was told that the money had to go back on the card and that they would have to give me a Gift Card. I later called the store number and asked to speak with SM however the associate that I spoke (as it turned out) was not the store manager and basically told me the same thing that the Clerk had told me. This is supposed to be Store Policy however it's not written on the receipt. If I have my receipt, I should be able to get a cash refund. That is so unacceptable.

    This was not the first time that I made a purchase from Belk, however, they have lost a customer. This tactic that is presenting as a Store Policy is a mere way to keep the money in the store. I dare you receive my money gracefully from my bank account and in the event I bring an item back with the receipt within a timely manner and you refuse to give me my money back. I view this as an unethical business practice. I tried calling corporate but not able to speak to anyone. Belk you need to be better! The love of money is the root of all evil!

    Bought luggage -used 3x and wheels cracked and fell off. On my 6th phone call with company. Different responses every time I call in. They just update the case. Doesn’t go anywhere. DO NOT purchase from them.

    I am a new customer to Belk’s… I placed an order for Clinique makeup because they had a free gift promo. Received my order with no free gift… Called the customer service line and they informed me that the promotion was now over (wasn’t when I placed order) and that they had to file a case to management and will let me know. I’m very upset because the only reason I placed the order was for the free gift. Poor Customer Service had to call back twice because the first call I couldn’t understand a word the guy was saying. If they don’t send free gift I will more than likely cut up my new CC.

    I will buy my See's chocolates through AAdvantage to earn miles. They used to partner with See's and See's would send my chocolates with an ice pack and beautifully fresh. See's no longer partners with AAdvantage. So, I was directed to Belk through AAdvantage to purchase See's chocolates. Omg! I got my chocolates today and they look like they traveled through 50 states to get to me. They were thrown around in the boxes (3 boxes total) and I don't get how that happened. Some were melted and melted together. They all had white spots like they were old. And when I tried a few, they were rock hard. This is beyond pissing me off. $64 for what??? It's like chocolates from Halloween 3 years ago. It's not See's fault. It's not AAdvantage's fault. It's this crap company Belk. And after reading other reviews, I should not have ordered from Belk. Ugh.

    My wife and I ordered Kitcheniva 10 piece Microfiber dish cloth from Belk Marketplace. $25.99 for 10 each dish cloths. First the item is extremely overpriced. The quality is terrible. The threads on the item picked and pulled out of the cloth on the first day. We contacted Belk and they said they would not do anything and we would have to contact the actual seller. We tried to do that but had no response. Only an email address was listed and no response... Now on the item it says no returns allowed. What a joke when you think Belk is a reputable company on the internet.

    In tiny print beside your item it may say Marketplace. This means you are purchasing from a third party and if you need to return the item, you must deal directly with that seller and return shipping is not refunded. In my case it's Ever Pretty. They had only a voicemail but no one called after two days and then took 4 days of back and forth emails for me to get a RMA# which you have to have to send it back at your own expense. I bought from Belk.com because it had been easy in the past to return items to the store but this time I didn't catch that little glitch. When Amazon flooded the market, Walmart tried the same approach as Belk and it backfired terribly which is why you can now return all walmart.com items to a Walmart store. At least for me, Belk.com will lose my business. Not because they didn't disclose this issue but because it's no longer convenient to order from them when I can't return it to the store.

    I placed an online order in December. I did not get all of my order. I figured it was because of the Christmas rush. I order three dresses in February and now it's March still haven't received my order yet! I called two weeks ago because when I checked my order status, it had been delivered to NY! I live in Tennessee! I have never lived in NY! They offered to resend it. I wanted those dresses so bad that I accepted their offer. Still waiting. I called today and it's the same old story, "We can resend them." I've had enough now! Just refund my money! Their customer service sucks. No one can tell you anything!     I ordered a ring from Belk for a little over $100. When it arrived it was an empty ring box. I contacted Belk through email so I would have a paper trail, but they stopped communicating with me. Customer service is a joke. They want me to file a claim with FedEx even though the package had not been tampered with...Belk just sent an empty ring box. Now I'm out the money. Do not order from Belk!!!

    Placed a order online for 150.00 worth of clothing from Facebook (I know I should know better) and I am in Canada so had to pay in American funds, and was given a tracking number. Was really excited and waited patiently for my order and when it finally came it was a ring which I never ordered. I emailed them and they said my order was set to a different address and would I mind keeping the ring and they would give me 90% of my money back. I said no thank you and for them to send me a label and I would send the ring back to them and they can give me back all my money as the ad said 100% money back guaranteed. They emailed me again and said it would be a lot of trouble for them to get the ring back and would I mind keeping it and they would give me 60% of my money back. What the hell how about all my money back.

    So I got a hold of them again and as it stands now they have put a request in and I will be refunded my money in the next 30 days. Why 30 days? You took the money out of my account that day why do I have to wait 30 days. I am almost certain that I have been scammed as I have got nothing back so far. Sorry for the long rant but I do feel a little better. I would not order online from this company if I were you.

    If you order online w/ Belk, don't do their Belk Marketplace. They're trying to do what Amazon is doing and it's an epic fail. The Marketplace is stuff coming from anywhere in the country or world, in other words a third party that has nothing to do with Belk. If you have to return it, good luck. At least w/ Belk, you can take it to the store for refund which has been smooth for me. No problems. I ordered something from the Marketplace on their site over 2 weeks ago and the carrier is still waiting for a shipping label. I can honestly order the same item on Amazon and it would have been here by now. Pay attention to the Belk Marketplace though and forego buying anything from that when they run their continuance sales. It's so frustrating. I'm not sure why Belk would put a stain on their name by doing something so horrible to their customers.

Had to call again. Aside they assigned me a new case #. They called me back about 4 weeks later from a # I didn’t recognize. They closed out my case because I didn’t answer two calls from an unknown #.

    I returned a handbag the day after receiving it in the original condition, packaging, tags, etc. Was quoted refund amount minus $9.95 return shipping fee. Received email in addition to quote stating my refund total after shipping fee of $9.95 which is the highest I have ever paid to return an item. Nope, they charged me $20.95 to ship it back!! Emailed, called customer service, told yes they see I was double charged, puts me on hold 10 minutes comes back and says they can't do anything for me that is the refund amount!     I decided To treat myself and bought a $600 ring which was morganite and rose gold which happened to be on sale from $2k. I ordered the ring on November 18th. It was supposed to be shipped to me by November 22nd period. Today is December 27th and I still have not received my ring, or my refund. By the 22nd I was already calling inquiries because the FedEx tracker never updated. They kept saying delayed. On the tracker it said that someone had to be home to receive delivery. Perfect because I work from home.

    I called Belk and spoke to a supervisor who said that I would not be able to file a claim until it was 15 days past which was December 5th period I happened to be going on vacation December 5th but I called that morning to start my claim. After my 3rd supervisor call, I was told that I needed to call FedEx and file a claim. Why would I need to file a claim for a product that I did not ship.

    So, I ordered a ring November 29th for a Christmas present from Belk. It said FedEx would deliver December 3rd, no one was home and since it needed a signature they said they would try the next business day... By December 10th we started contacting fedex and belk. Fedex just informed us on December 16th they lost my package! I have opened a "case" with belk for over 2 weeks and they still don't call back or email! They keep saying they will either refund or replace.. Fedex said after 12 days of no delivery they put it as "lost." So, how can belk keep my money when I received no product!?

    Ordered staff member a suit with 2 pairs of slacks. He gave me the sizes. I ordered on 11-11-22 and there apparently was a special sale going on. The slacks were priced at $61.25. The order came on 11-16-22 and staff member tried on the clothes, the coat, a 46 fit, but the slacks were too tight. He instructed me to please order 40 X 32 and return the 36 X 32 slacks. Their return page is not clear about how to exchange, after I got a return slip printed, I simply went to their site to reorder the 40 X 32 slacks, however, the price shown was $175 per pair.

    I then called the customer service department to see what I was to do, I was told that because Belk's did not make a mistake on the size order, it was my mistake and I could not exchange at the previous price. So what cost me $122.50 on 11-11-22 was now going to cost $350 and they would not give any consideration. I know the customer is not always right, but I feel they have taken that notion to a new level. We have bought staff members clothes online there before, we won't now.

    I ordered three shirts on April 15, 2022. One of the shirts I ordered was deleted from my order by Belk before I was able to complete check out? I guessed the one shirt I ordered, and really liked, was no longer available??? I ordered another shirt, added that to my order, and they said "Congratulations, you qualify for free shipping." I printed the screenshot for my records. The next morning I checked my order AND I checked if the deleted shirt was available in my size and it was? I contacted customer service and they said they could not do anything about it because "We fill orders FAST!" Three (3), yes THREE, days later I received an email that my order had been filled and I would receive my order Friday April 22nd by the end of the day via FedEx.

    Friday April 22nd came and went. April 23rd I receive a message via text from FedEx that my package will be received by end of day Wednesday April 27th by end of day and that day has come and gone with no package? I contact Belk and they said they have no control once they ship the package and they do not know where it is. I contact FedEx and they said the status is pending and they will text me when they know something more? FedEx does not know if they have possession of the package yet? I looked at my credit card bill and learned that Belk ended up charging me a delivery fee of $10.95 even though my order was well over the $49 threshold which qualifies for free delivery? Conclusions?

    I should have found and read all the complaints about Belk before ordering which is my fault. I contacted my credit card company (Chase) and they refunded my card charge and I will not pay Belk anything because they (1) over-billed me which is a Federal Offense, and (2) I was contacted in writing twice about delivery that never happened and now they do not know if or where they "package" is? Like most all of the other reviews, Belk SUCKS and you will PROBABLY have a very bad experience ordering anything online from this poorly run establishment.     Closed account because I didn’t use it enough. I’ve had an account since 2016. I didn’t use it a lot but I did use it. I do use it the other day and the account was closed. They say can always reapply for another account but then I would take a hit on my credit score and say yes. If it is not used after certain time it is closed no matter how long you’ve had the account. I think that’s very bad practice and they should at least notify you.

    I bought two perfumes on Nov 26. One was shipped and delivered, while the other is still not here after 17 days of their email confirming shipment. When I contacted them today they said: oh, it is coming from a marketplace. I inquired about what it meant, and they said it is people selling products on our website. If you are working like ebay you better have rules and standards like them to ensure quality. I was referred to an unknown "marketplace" to inquire about my missing order, although it was them who sent the shipping confirmation email with an invalid tracking number! This was my first and last time dealing with them. Save your time and money and buy from a credible site that has clear rules.

    I ordered two products online for curbside pick up and when I got my confirmation email for pick up it was at two different locations, which makes no sense. I called customer service and she had a difficult time even pulling up my order to begin with, she was doubting that I had even ordered the products I told her I ordered because she couldn’t find my invoice. Once she found it she told me that she couldn’t cancel it, I have the option to cancel it on my computer so I asked her if I should and if I would be refunded. She said to go ahead and cancel the order so I did and a message popped up saying that I needed to speak to a customer service representative because I could not cancel my order.

    She then said that I couldn’t cancel my order after 15 minutes of ordering, I explain to her that it had only been eight minutes since I ordered it. Then she told me they actually changed the policy and now it’s within five minutes and then after five minutes you cannot cancel the order… Does this not sound like she’s making it up on the fly or what?

    She told me to call the individual stores. I called the first store and the man answered and said that he could not help me with my problem and that I needed to call customer service, I explain to him that I had just gotten off the phone with customer service and he explained to me then that the store doesn’t even open until 10 AM and he only answered the phone because he thought it was executive calling. After begging him to help me he then transferred me to a manager and I was on hold for another five minutes before a voicemail came through and I didn’t even get to talk to anyone.

    I then called the next-store and the lady told me again to call customer service and I explained how I had called several people before her. She was not much more helpful and said that they didn’t have the authority to transfer products between stores. She said that she could cancel the order and that I could go back online and re-order the product for the same location as the other product. She canceled my order and I had to go back online and order the product to be picked up at the same location as the other item. Long story short I don't understand how this simple fix could not be done and I had to waste my time talking to multiple different people.

    I love Belk. My only complaint is the lack of registers open. I shop after work (6:30PM) and sometimes I walk around to every service station trying to find one open and there's a line. I purchased over $300 in merchandise and the cashier was not the least bit friendly or helpful. Because I was not able to try anything on with the dressing rooms still closed I returned several items two weeks later and that service person was super nice. Some are, some aren't. Unfortunately the store is old and desperately needs updating but being the 2nd to last store in that mall I doubt that's gonna happen.

    I’ve had issues with my orders multiple times and they obviously have no interest in correcting anything because all I ever get is automated emails. Nothing is ever done about the problem. The latest problem is they were advertising buy 1, get 2 free and even when I loaded 3 of the exact same articles of clothing the total was incorrect. My local store in Conway, Arkansas gives excellent service but doesn’t always have the articles I like.

    I have been shopping with the Belk store of Lake City, SC for quite sometime. I was introduced to the Estee Lauder brand last year and have been in love ever since. I was using Aloette for about 4 years prior and lost contact with my rep. So upon mentioning that I was proactive about my skin care, I just felt swooped away! I get regular calls about sales and promotions and get asked about my satisfaction with my recent purchases when I make additional purchases. If there is ever a problem the staff always puts their best effort in correcting any issues and making sure they make it right.

    When asked WHY do they continue to keep their dressing rooms closed, I got this response; "We are sorry for the inconvenience. Our dressing rooms are not open at the moment. Our goal is to provide the best shopping experience possible while keeping our customers and associates safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. We’re closely following the evolving CDC, state and local guidelines, and continuously adjusting our operations accordingly."

    My response to them was this; "This is the most lame response and excuse someone can give. I'm not sure what guidelines you're following, but the rest of this county and state are following the guidelines set by this state!" All other departments stores excluding yours and Walmart have their dressing rooms open and are not going against any CDC guidelines or laws. And they are also "protecting" and keeping their employees safe. This is just pure laziness and you really should be ashamed of yourselves for your actions, especially at the prices you charge in your stores. Macy's dressing rooms open. JCPENNEY dressing rooms open. Nordstrom rooms open. Neiman Marcus rooms open. Dillards rooms open. Bealls rooms open. But Belks remain closed because they think they are following some different CDC guidelines that others aren't. Do you think all these other departments stores are going against state regulations?

    Come on!! Take your head out of the sand and stop making excuses. Join the rest of the world and keep up with the times. No wonder why your store is empty, people are taking their business elsewhere! I know that I won't be spending my money there anymore, and I will make sure I'll pass this response from you to everyone I know, including every social media outlet out there including youtube. I remain... All these companies that use the COVID-19 as an excuse for laziness should close their doors for good!

    I have been a Belk Elite card holder for 20 years. I used to truly enjoy shopping with Belk...no more! Our local store in Knoxville, TN at West Town Mall has been steadily declining for the past couple of years in terms of product quality and availability. It's no wonder the company is in bankruptcy. I have had repeated issues with customer service including one individual in cosmetics that I have had problems with on more than one occasion. Unfortunately there are so few people working I have had to go to her to purchase product in that department and have been mistreated now 3 times. I made the store management aware, they have done nothing and do not care.

    I spent an hour of wasted time relating the experience to a customer service representative in their corporate office who promised a call back and some action. That was a month ago and nothing has been done. I have inquired twice with no response. Our local store is understocked, looking like a bargain basement retailer, carpet is dirty, dressing rooms never available, (they actually have caution tape strung across them). No associates to help you or even take a payment. Belk is the local running joke as a retail store in our area.

    I was buying men's dress shoes for my grandson to get married in. The salesman seemed upset that he had to walk over to the men's shoes, then he promised me the shoes would be there by Monday, no later than Wednesday the computer showed they had 50 pair in his size (13 W). The wedding was on Friday. I received an email on Wednesday that said shoes will arrive on Friday. My grandson got married in his black athletic shoes. We had the reception on Saturday and again he had to wear his black athletic shoes because Belk did not send the dress shoes. On Monday of the next week the shoes came. I returned them. I had purchased the shoes on my debit card. Belk would only give me a store credit back when I returned the shoes, they could not remove them from my card. I don't shop a lot and I live on a very limited income, I don't need my money lockup on a Belk gift card. Never shop there.

    I took back a sweater, blouse and pants after Christmas to exchange them. They would only allow $1.47 for blouse, $1.27 for sweater and $0.16 for the pants. Is this a scam? I ask if they plan to sell them for what they want to give me and was told no. What does that mean? Scam? The pants alone were $52 and they had the same pants but were 35% off, which I thought would be all right, but in my mind 35% off $52 is not $0.16. What has happened to Belk? I have purchased my clothes from them for the last 45 years and never seen anything like this. I WILL NEVER purchase anything from them again!

    I ordered a comforter set for $125.00. I washed it three days after I received it and it not only shredding the material, the comforter is completely ruined. Won't lay flat, all bunched up in weird places and the stitching was very strange from the get-go. I emailed them and they needed the order number.     I truly don’t see myself ordering anything else from Belk.com ever again. I spent Over $150.00 on one bottle of cologne, and they will not help me at all with any info on this order! They seem to be done with helping you, once they already have your money! I placed this order on December 9th, and received a confirmation that I’d have my order by Dec 15th. On Dec. 10th I got an email that it was shipped. On Dec. 13th I noticed it was in North Carolina. Here it is Dec. 22nd, I still haven’t received it, and (according to the FedEx delivery tracker) it still shows that it’s in the exact same spot in NC that it was in on the 13th. I called Belks, and they said give it a couple more days... So, I did.

    I called back a couple days later, and they said for me to try calling FedEx. I called FedEx, and they asked if I was the shipper. I said No, and told them I was the receiver. They then told me that due to the way it was shipped they could only give certain updates to the shipper, so for me to have Belks give them a call to confirm details. Therefore, I called back again, told them what FedEx said, and requested that they call FedEx to find out what the issue is. The customer service rep that I spoke with told me that they don’t ever call FedEx, and that they can’t do anything about it at all anyways until after 15 business days have passed, so for me to call back if I still don’t have it by Dec. 29th! Why didn’t they just tell me that to begin with? What was the point of them having me call FedEx if they couldn’t even comply with the outcome, and call FedEx like they requested them to do?

    This was supposed to be a Christmas present! I do understand that it’s Christmas time, and we are also in the middle of a pandemic. However, I’ve done all of my Christmas shopping online this year, and I have not had any problems with the shipping from anywhere else that I’ve ordered from. If I have, then the company has reached out to the carrier, and resolved the issue (themselves) quickly. The location that this Belk order is stuck in, is only 2 hours away from me. I even offered to drive there to pick it up myself, if they can just tell me the exact physical location it is at in NC. Belks won’t even put forth the effort to help me by calling FedEx to get the details, and ask exactly where it is stuck at in NC, so that I can go get it!

    This is just awful customer service. They choose to just shrug it off, and tell their customers that they can’t help them, until after 15 business days have passed! Additionally, the employees that are handling the customer service phone calls are extremely rude, as well, and the supervisor wouldn’t even get on the phone to speak with me.

    Call Customer Service to cancel an order I just made. You have 15 minutes to cancel an order after making it so I was on hold for 40 minutes and because of that, they could not cancel my order.     I purchased 3 pair of palazzo pants and was happy with them until I saw that they contain Spandex, which I am allergic to (two pair were listed to be polyester, no mention of spandex--my bad on the 3rd pair). I called and was told I would receive an email label for the return. No email arrived. After about a week, I called again and was told I would receive the return label via email. I'm still waiting after several days. I wonder how many levels these transactions have to go through, or if this is just a way to put me off until I pay for the return myself.     First of all, I must say that I love Belk. I was so very dissatisfied when I received my order. Found one of my products still had the plastic theft protection thingy attached. I mean come on, the whole point of ordering online was to avoid going to the store. I just so happened to order two of the same product, because I was in great need of its use.     I am too livid to type a long review.

    1. Items on their site are never as pictured. Always lower quality or look nothing lime it. First time, I got too busy to return the items and ended up having to absorb over $100 in stuff I did not want. Over a $240 bill and most things were disappointing.

    2. Ordered again this time when I was desperate for some particular brand of clothes. A Google search brought me back to Belk. I was hesitant but decided to try Belk again as I was desperate.

    3. Lace dresses looked like tablecloth when they arrived. Fabric textures and colors were off. The colors of many items didn't look the same.

    4. Lots of bait and switch. The stuff I really wanted, I got messages that they were sold out after being available at the time I bought them.

    5. Called to do a return on some shirts I ordered. Belk probably employs the lowest IQ people. 20 minutes later and with my order number, receipt, phone number, email, upc of items, they still could not find the order. I had to do the most work to help her find it. I had 2 other returns off a different order. The experience with her was so painful with this first order # that I was too exhausted to do any more with this rep. So I declined to do the others.

    6. Finally, we got through it and the rep said a return label would be mailed to me in 15 mins. 2 hours later, still no label. So I called back. Now new person says return label takes 24 to 48 hours. It has been 3 days and still no return label. I searched for FedEx all over my inbox and nothing from them.

    Belk is a despicable company and I will never order from them again.

    I received my order from Belk and discovered that the Birkenstock Ebba ankle boots size 38 that were advertisers regular width were actually narrow width, as a result they did not fit. I decided to return those as well as a pair of blue jeans that did not fit. I called Belk on October 7th and was told that they could not process the order return, it had to go to corporate because the boots were too high of an amount $200 for them to process. I was told that corporate would contact me in three to five days. This process and conversation with Belk took an amazing 35 minutes.

    It is now October 14th and I have never been contacted by corporate. I just called Belk again and now I am being told that corporate had closed the case although they never called me or emailed me I am now being told that I will receive two separate return slips one for the jeans and one for the pair of boots in two emails in three to five business days. This is ridiculous. They had no problem when I purchased the items, one the boots were misrepresented on the website and I have since found out that these boots are not even made in a regular width as was stated in their item information on their website. Hopefully I will get the emails to get the return labels to return these two items. I will not be ordering from this company again.

    I wish I had read Belk reviews before purchasing from their online store. I was promise a 20 % discount for opening an account with Belk when making my first purchase which was 2 pairs of boots. I have been trying to get this credit for weeks. They have several different phone numbers to call but all those numbers have the same prompts, so you feel like you're going in circles.     Customer service at Belk is awful. I placed an order on Sept. 22 and had it shipped to my daughter, but she still has not received it. I called customer service, what a joke. I can give them the order number, I can give them my daughter's name and the city and state where the order was shipped to. I can give them my email and address and credit card number and my phone number. But I can't remember the street name I had it sent to (it's my daughter's place of business) nor can I remember every digit of her phone number since I'm so used to just hitting one button to dial. Because I can't provide a street name, they refuse to tell me why she hasn't received the order.

    I realize there are privacy concerns, but hello, I paid for the order. This is really screwed up when the person who paid for the order can't even get information about the order they paid for. When I told the supervisor that I had been a cardholder for 40 years, he said he didn't care. He even raised his voice at me. Wow, now that's customer service. I'm closing my account.

    Do not open a card here. They offer you rewards for spending a certain amount but the rewards never work. I go can on and on about the last few times I have had issues with Belk credit card and their website but the simple fact is the customer service is terrible, They do not correct any of THEIR issues. They overcharge your card and promise in 1 to 2 billing cycles it will be corrected. 2 months pass and the issue are still get corrected... Instead I now have 3 more issues on my card. What they are doing is illegal. I understand mistakes happen but a good company would correct the issue. After some research I found out this has happened to many people.

    Belk is absolutely the worst site for online shopping that I have dealt with! My product never arrived, and has been lost by FedEx, but Belk still refuses to give me a refund! I called FedEx, and they admitted that they cannot track my package so I should consider it lost, and they told me to contact the shipper to get them to request a tracer and issue me with a refund, but Belk are refusing. Belk say that there is nothing they can do, and I have to be patient and continue to wait for the product - even though there is no sign of a scheduled delivery date for my product! The tracking just stopped at Indianapolis many days ago, and there is no further tracking information, and no delivery date! I live in California! The FedEx employer I spoke to was honest enough to say that this means the package has been lost in Indianapolis! But Belk refuses to acknowledge that, and refuse to send out a tracer and refund my money.

    I also want to add that dealing with them was awful. Their online chat does not work. It shows an error message when you type a question, and no one comes online. Their email query doesn't work - no one responds to the email. The only way is to call them, and after waiting on the line forever, you get no help! I shop online with multiple different companies, and all the others I have dealt with are very customer service oriented, and are always able to help if something like this happens - and it's rare for something like this to occur. I've experienced it maybe twice before even though I do most of my shopping online, and each time, the company was able to reship the product by express shipping. But Belk don't care.

    Also, their return policy is terrible. You have to pay shipping to return something if it's the wrong size, and pay shipping again to get a new one in the right size sent to you! I am never using them again, and will never recommend them. I will also publicly tell people to avoid Belk like the plague! Worst site and customer service EVER!!

    My son & I came in to Belk, located in Hot Springs Ar. looking for wedding guest attire, We had some kind of idea of what to look for, but didn't know the sizes. I needed him to try some of the clothing on, but found he wasn't able to for the fitting rooms being closed. One gentleman I found told me that the rooms were closed & stated we could purchase what we needed & if we needed to bring something back, we could within the 72 hours. I asked if he could be measured because I didn't want to purchase & have to come back. Needless to say I wasn't very polite to Brian G. He handled the situation with respect & was very professional, but as I said, I wasn't a "proper southern woman".

    I rang the store later to find out who he was to apologies to him & asked his name so that I may do this review. Brian graciously excepted my apology & even told me he'd help me learn how to tie my sons tie. (His father's never been around & his grandfather isn't here any longer for me to ask & no, I didn't tell him that. He just simply offered to show me.) The way he handled the situation was exactly what I'd expect from any company & went above & beyond to help me in the future. He still got the customer to come back! That's great customer service & a great manager! I'm very appreciative of this gentleman, thank you!

I received a response on 8/3 asking if I wanted the postage emailed or mailed. I immediately responded emailed. On 8/6 I received another email asking how I wanted to receive the postage. I again responded. On 8/8 I pm'd this page and was told that they requested postage be sent to me by FedEx but it would be 5 business days.     This company under its new ownership has gone down the tubes. Their online store is a joke and the incompetent customer service is worthless. They are clueless. I have been trying for 3 months now to resolve an issue. I have asked for a name and contact in their corporate office which they have refused to give. I received a quilt set with a defective sham. I asked that the sham be replaced in June. The first time they shipped a eurosham and not the sham to the wrong address. The second time the again shipped a eurosham and not a sham to the correct address. Still wrong. I did not have the sham. They clearly have no idea the difference in a sham and a eurosham. During the process I started requiring them to sign a name to their emails and not just signing Belk customer service.

    Finally I think they have got it together and understand the problem. This time they ship to the wrong address again. Now they start giving me the runaround refusing to address the problem. I have gone back through the many emails and listing the customer service incompetents that have had part in this. They are Alex, Josh,Kayla, Tasha. These people need training. The founding Belk family would turn over in their grave if they could see what the new owners did to this company. BEWARE BEWARE. DO NOT BUY FROM BELK

    I tried to return a blouse purchased the day before. The Cashier acted as though I had stolen the blouse because I forgot to bring the tags. I had the receipt not the tags. The new policy for COVD19 is the tags have to be with the item. I did not know this. All she had to do was to know her job and this could have been an easy exchange. She had to act all crazy and just out right unprofessional. Waving her hands, raising her voice etc. Another customer was just standing there looking. I was totally frustrated. Thank God, I did not get mad. I kept my cool. Knowing I was in the right. I mean how many times do we try on garments and the silly tags pop off. At any rate, will return for FULL REFUND. Belk, please train your employees on how to act, and not make a big deal about simple stuff! I won't be back in the store any time soon!

    I placed 2 separate online orders during this pandemic. The first order contained a pair of ladies blue suede shoes and other items. All were literally tossed in.No a packing. Unwrapped and unboxed. The shoes appeared to have been worn and stained. They were not in a box nor protectively wrapped with anything nor was there a sales slip of any type denoting the items, prices, etc. The second order came packaged in the same haphazard manner. The order contained a $100 pair of men's Sperry boat shoes and an inexpensive toaster with no boxes and no protective covering. The $100 shoes were not even in a plastic bag. The manner in which they had been prepared for shipping (meaning both orders appeared to have been done by kindergarten kids). Both pairs of shoes had to be returned (ladies shoes because of the condition in which they arrived and the men's $100 Sperry shoes because they were too big).

    Yesterday, (6/30/20) I drove 30 miles one way in an ATTEMPT to return them. The very nice sales person who was working the "customer service" little stand in the middle of the men's dept. was so embarrassed to have to tell me that they could not take back any shoes that were not in a box nor have a scan bar somewhere on the shoes and I would have to contact (actually said I would have to call belk.com). I have dealt with Belk's Westminster for years and have never had a problem with anything. I usually buy in store with credit card or cash and sometime on line with not an ounce of trouble, but this leaves such a bitter taste for Belk. I made several online purchases with Boscov's, Kohl's, and Macy's during this pandemic and everything arrive perfectly packaged and in good order. I had no problem returning anything to these stores. The service at Belk's was certainly not up to their previous high standards.

    I placed an order for Skechers sneakers at a terrific price. The shoes were delivered on time. The first pair I opened was great. Fit well and felt comfortable. The second pair I opened was not so great. The shoes had obviously been worn as the bottom of them was scuffed and marked and one shoe was stretched as if someone wore the shoe and it was too small.

    I contacted the company and have not heard a word from them. They will not take returns of shoes but apparently someone returned these prior to the pandemic. And, in light of the pandemic, I refuse to wear a pair of shoes previously worn by another person. That is more disgusting than I could begin to describe on so many levels. So I ended up paying for 2 pairs of shoes and have only 1 pair that is wearable. As I said, the company has not responded in any way to my contact and I would recommend that everyone be careful what they purchase from this store. Never did I expect to receive a pair of "used" shoes.

Belk sent me a cheap necklace and when I tried to return it they told me that "this is not the necklace you bought" I replied that I was simply returning what they sent me. On May 22nd I sent an inquiry in about this missing piece to have it replaced. I heard nothing back. Today, June 11th, I reached out, waited 30 minutes to talk with someone and all they offered was a 15% discount. I told them either I get the signature piece or I would be willing to return it. After all, the purse is just a no name brand without the signature piece. On May 18th I received an email which said “Get excited- your order has shipped.” As of 6/3/20 there was still no tracking info and it states tracking info will be provided once the package arrives at FedEx??! Has it shipped or not shipped?!? Chat with C/S says it is unavailable and emails have not been responded to. 6/4/20 - I received an email stating my package would be delayed!?! Seriously?! I understand delays due to COVID-19, but obviously the package never actually shipped. If I could cancel the order now I would.

    I purchased 2 pair of jeans. Reviews on the site said "They run a little small" so I purchased size 8 instead of size 6. When they arrived they were Way, way, too big. I paid $8.95 for shipping to get them. Customer service said "If I pay another $8.95 to return them then they will credit my account. Then I can reorder and pay an additional $8.95 to have a smaller size shipped. Maybe they'll fit better." Really!!! I would have $26.85 in just postage to See if they fit. The jeans were only $9.00 a pair. My only other option is to keep 2 pair of jeans I can never wear. If you are not positive you won't need to return the item, Do Not Buy From Belk!

    One of the worst customer service I’ve seen in a company in a long time. April 30 I ordered four pairs of leggings and it is now May 24 and still have not received my product. However you Took my money on 5-13. When I called to follow up on this I was told It is the post office's fault. Funny how you don’t take responsibility for your own business. I also noticed again you don’t carry a product I ordered and instead of updating your website or advising me you accepted my order. I am surprised you don’t update your website. I also ordered curtains on May 7. I ordered 12 panels of which you only delivered three panels.

    I’m not sure what you expected me to do with a half a window panel. I was not given the option or advise that you did not have the stock or to cancel the order. Instead you shipped me three panels out of 12 which were useless. Of course I had to go out and ship them back which I did on May 13 and still have not gotten my refund. When I called on May 12 I was told it would be 5 to 6 days so that was an untruth. It is now May 24 you have my money and I have no products. Very poor customer service that I will never order again from our shop at your store.

    Bought a Samsonite luggage. Shipping Label created but it was never shipped out by Belk. It’s two weeks later and still not shipped. I contacted Belk and no response.     I ordered some clothing articles for my mother in law for Mother's Day. I ordered them with weeks to spare so they would arrive in time. I got an email a couple days later with a FedEx tracking number saying they were shipped. I waited a day and checked FedEx and tracking number could not be found. I waited a couple more days and tried again. Still not found. I got concerned and called Belk customer care. After waiting on hold for 1 hour and 22 minutes I got to speak to a person who indicated they were way behind and I would have to give it more time. I did just that but the status had not changed so I called again and was on hold for 1 hour and 31 minutes and had the same result as before. The 3rd time I called I was on hold for 1 hour and 40 minutes. Again they tried to brush me off with the same line but I would not accept it. Long story short they could not find what happened.

    I asked to just cancel the order but she informed me she could not do that and I would have to talk to a supervisor. Another 24 minutes on hold. Finally got to a supervisor and got the order cancelled. Now, in the time between calls I tried to find another way to escalate the issue. Opened 2 online problem tickets which were never answered. Found the Corporate Marketing Officer's Name, Jacob ** and sent him and email which was returned to me as "blocked". I guess with customer service like that I would block mine also.... or maybe he and his organization do not care about customer service. Needless to say I will never do business with Belk or Belk.com again. If you choose to, you have been warned.

    I couldn't believe my eyes when the bowls came in this huge rattly, poorly taped box, with nothing but a few thin strips of bubble wrap placed loosely in the box. I opened the box to find four of the twelve bowls I ordered smashed to smithereens. Sooo glad I didn't let my little granddaughter who loves to help stick her hand in there and help me lift the bowls out of the box. She would have cut herself badly! I boxed up the items and shipped them with the label you issued. When my credit card bill came, I had not received credit for the items totaling almost $900. I checked tracking, and the package was delivered.

    On April 18, I spoke with Fatima in Customer Service. She said I would get a credit, but the return was for more than she was authorized to make, so she was sending it to “corporate,” and I should have a credit in 5-7 days. On April 27, I spoke with Rebecca. She told me the same thing, but that she was sending it to “corporate” as high priority. On May 6, I spoke with Dwayne. He didn’t have a clue. After placing me on hold to transfer me to a supervisor, he hung up on me, after I waited for an hour to speak with someone. In May 7, after being on hold for an hour, I lost connection.

    I am at the point that I this will start to affect my 773 point credit score next month, because I don’t know how much to pay. Once this issue is taken care of, I plan to return the other items I’ve ordered since this incident, and I will be done with Belk after being a loyal customer for over 30 years. This lack of customer service is not a response to the current situation; it is a lack of care on Belk’s part. In addition to Belk, I have placed orders during this situation with Kohl's, Gap, Old Navy, Talbots, Wal Mart, Target, and Sam’s. I haven’t had ANY problems with any of them.

    Beware of Belk! I have been a very loyal customer of Belk for many years. I have always paid my bill on time and had elite status with my credit card. I recently made a mistake with my online payment and paid it from an account that belonged to my deceased Mother. They charged me $39.00 late fee even though I paid the bill 3 days after when they notified me what had happened. It was a mistake and I am very sorry that I made it but instead of allowing me to explain they closed my account without even notifying me that they were doing this. I am deeply disappointed in Belk and never plan to shop there again.

    In a day and time when there is so much competition for business you would think that a long and loyal customer would not receive this kind of treatment. They have a lot of cheaply made products but at times I found good deals. Good deals aren’t worth this kind of treatment. I now know this is not the kind of place I want to spend my money. I plan to look for locally owned stores from now on. Corporations try to destroy you and everything else. BEWARE OF BELK! THEY ARE NOT GOOD BUSINESS!

    Have had a Belk card for many years. Card was cancelled without telling us. Found out it was because no activity. We stopped using due to high interest. Been trying to make purchase for 4 months but being told bank card invalid. I have called customer service. No help! Tried using two other cards and told cards invalid however they are taken elsewhere. Customer service is bad!

    Bought 3 sheet sets from these THIEVES (BELK) and they added an additional charge on my credit card from QVC for $257.22. The ironic situation is that I used Paypal for this buy, so it seems that there is no point to use Paypal since BELK WAS ABLE TO STEAL FROM MY CREDIT CARD.

    Placed a $50 order online. Got an email many hours later that my order was cancelled and it would take 5 days to get my money back. That's it. No explanation. Called the cs line and was on hold for just under an hour before I hung up. I assume everyone was in a meeting but don't have me waiting for a representative for an hour after cancelling my order with no explanation. Update: Watch out for credit card fraud from these guys. I have no direct proof but the next day I got 3 unknown charges. After my order was cancelled with no explanation and I couldn't get ahold of anyone (they have yet to answer my email 2 days later).

    Placed an order at 230 am for 3 pairs of shoes, when I received the verification email there were only 2 pair of shoes on the order. Went right back to the site and tried to cancel (You can't. You have 15 min after order is placed to make any changes), then follow procedure of contacting representative (they are closed), and since they were unavailable I wrote a message stating that there was a glitch in my order, so I redid order and need previous order canceled. Following up on it later this same morning ~10 am I am being told that they cannot fix their own errors, that they have a program that won't allow them to cancel any order once it's placed. Not paid for, processed, shipped, or the like but just is placed in electronic writing and they will not cancel anything. They will waste the resources to process, package, ship, and have the order returned instead so that they still make money off of the transaction (their error mind you).

    I called my bank and they said that is simply not true, that the bank cannot cancel the transaction because it hasn't even been processed, only the company can do that once they even accept the order...which at this point ~1300 still had not been done. Unfortunately as their products seem legit and prices fair, this company is a little sideways in their practices. BEWARE.

    Belk plays music way too loud. I get annoyed and anxious to leave the store. I find a few other retailers are doing this too. I am a music lover but not a fan of loud, POP music. I believe this is a trend among retailers, but may be backfiring. I know I simply must leave the store. Started maybe a year ago.

    I can always find the clothes I need that will fit my size and style at great prices. The clothes suit the southern woman who is both conservative and feminine. The sales are fantastic and they notify you often so you never miss a sale. If you have their store credit card, you get extra perks. The store is huge and offers not only clothes for the entire family but cosmetics and home goods as well. Only e shopping is also available with store pickup to save on shipping. I always request Belk gift cards when my kids want to treat me.

    I ordered lamps from Belk.com on 1/26/2020. When they arrived they were smaller than expected. Went back to their website to get a return label. First I couldn't sign on because they said my email was not in their system. This is the same email that they already sent confirmations to. I clicked the link to customer service only to have it returned because the link doesn't exist. Oh and if I do get access to a return lable they will not pay shipping costs unless they shipped the wrong item or it was broken in transit. Definitely not a customer friendly company. Stay away from them.

    I got a pair of Under Armour shoes from this place on December 2019. They sent the wrong style, wrong number, and they were fake shoes (you can tell for the inside of the shoe and the brown plain box). The policies on the website state that they will refund for shipping cost if they send the wrong item. I paid $25 in shipping to return their fake shoes back. I live in California and they don't have a store close by. The people in customer service said the company doesn't refund shipping cost even though it's on the return policies. How is this place still in business with the poor customer service/policies and selling counterfeit items???

    I purchased online to pick up in the store and there were two women when I got there in the shoe department. One helping a customer with shoes and the other listening to music on her earphones. YES, her headphones. They kept me waiting then the girl who wasn't helping a customer said only the manager could help and she then went in back. She did not even acknowledge my presence when I walked in. I wait even longer, she finally comes back out to help me however, I realized I made a mistake and need to exchange one of the shirts. Once again the only lady that could help was with a shoe customer, I wait another ten minutes as they BOTH disappear. The manager comes back and boldly says I can make an exchange at any register. I then ask where in the store can I get the same exact shirt I was holding in my hand. She picked up the phone to call and ask and then very hastily said where I needed to go.

    So I then proceed to the The Limited area of the store to exchange my shirt and find the closest register. I wait in line once again and the associate had some people waiting in front of me a bit to the side. She waved me to come forward with JUST two fingers while she was on the phone. I stood there in shock as the woman did NOT say a word OR look at me, she just used two fingers pulling forward VERY rapidly to show me to come to the counter. FINGERS over and over again. That was so disrespectful. Using her two fingers to wave with showing me to come forward and not even saying a word OR looking AT me. I am not a baby or a kid, yet a 45-year-old woman! WOW, I will never be shopping here ever again. Keep in mind this was a bad experience not with just one Associate BUT with ALL three.

    Most of the time retailers provide a shipping label to return your merchandise for free or discounted. THEY DO NOT!! I had to pay $30 to return 5 items of clothing! And then they told me that because I lived in an area where there is no store I could have called and asked for a label, which is not indicated ANYWHERE on the website!! I had actually called customer service about my return and even though they were aware that I lived in Michigan, they never offered me that option. Even after explaining all of that they refused to pay my shipping! Unbelievable!! How can an online retailer not offer free or discounted returns these days?? You are taking a big chance ordering from this store. You better make sure everything fits!!

    Wrong item received. The website advertised the old formula of the moisturizer. I was excited because it was hard to find when I received it, it was the new formula which I hate. I went to UPS and paid 10.53 to return it. I called and was told they can credit me for the 10.00 and it would not affect my return amount for the item. When I received my refund I was shorted 10.00. Customer service is the worst. They keep saying the same thing over and over. I have posted this issue on their Instagram page as well.

    I intended on purchasing a Ralph Lauren men’s pea coat for a Christmas gift; However I received a knock off version. The coat was torn by the label and it had Ralph Lauren labels sewn on. The coat said “made in China” where the original label of the coat should have been. The stitching was poorly done and the coat was Obviously a complete knockoff. I am highly upset because this is a horrible first impression of a department store. I would like everyone reading this to know not to order from stores which are unheard of. I live in New York so This store was very unfamiliar to me but I took a risk by ordering anyway. Total mistake. Consumers beware!!!!

    I have new release experienced an issue like this with a different company EVER!! So, I placed an order through the Belk store and they held 2 payments on my card. My item has already shipped and the correct payment has already processed on my card but they are still holding my money on my card for another payment which is crazy. I’ve called their customer service like twice and all they have stated is that it will fall off soon and nothing else can be done. Now take a look at what time of the year it is. That’s right, it’s Christmas time and I am not even able to complete my Christmas shopping because of this problem because I can’t spend money on my ONLY bank card because of this pending charge. I will never order from belk again and I advise anyone who is considering to not do so.

    I made a large purchase in November. The same day I called, after realizing I had made a mistake in a size, to see what could be done. I spoke with 2 representatives who sounded like a collection company over postage. I simply requested a label to mail back the wrong sized item. I was told that if they did that for everyone the company would be bankrupt. It was the worst example of customer service I have had. I refused all items and it took a month to get my money back. There were other things from the reps that were said but not worth noting. I will not purchase online or in a store.

    I placed an order online at Belk.com to be picked up in store. I checked that each item was available at my local store before ordering as I need them for Christmas gifts. Everything was available at my store except 1 item. I selected for that item to be shipped and all others to be picked up in store the next day. The next day I received an email stated that my order was being processed for shipping - the entire order! I contacted customer service and was told that there was nothing I could do as it was processed. I couldn't cancel because I only had 30 minutes after ordering to do so. I explained that the error was not mine but theirs and the helpful offer was to send me return labels to send the items back once I received them which would be in 4 to 7 business days (usually - expect delays due to the holiday). So here I am with no gifts, no money and a perfunctory "sorry, there is nothing we can do. Merry Christmas!"

    I placed an order online on Cyber Monday. I went to place an order last night (Friday) and discovered that I did not have any available credit. This was confusing because I knew that I should have money remaining on the credit card. I spoke with two representatives last night and both times, I was disconnected. When I called back the 3rd time, they were closed. Neither representative knew what happened.

    Today, which is Saturday, I spoke with one representative who was able to determine why it happened. Evidently, when you place an order online, they put a hold on the amount until the items have been shipped. Then it supposedly takes 24-48 hours to remove the hold. That's a problem when you, the customer, think that you have money available to spend and you don't. Therefore, I missed three items that are now out of stock. The last rep said that he was going to send it to corporate but it could take up to TEN Days for them to remove the hold. I told him that it was unacceptable, he HUNG up on me. That was not the first time. The 1st representative did the same thing. That is concerning and unacceptable. If you cannot deal with a customer who is unhappy, then get another job. But to hang up is disrespectful.

    Furthermore, I was disconnected three times with the representatives from the Belk Credit Card (Synchrony Bank) before I was able to reach a person with Belk.com. It is Christmas time and people are shopping. How can you even think this is a great time to place a charge and a hold of the same amount on the credit card? Now, what am I supposed to do because the clothing that I was ordering is no longer available. But, it was last night when I hit PURCHASE and discovered that I did not have an available balance. Not happy at this time. Belk you have to do better especially during this time of year.

    It is so amazing when you can walk into a store and feel as though you are surrounded by friends and family. Everyone is so loveable and kind. The departments in the store is very organize and you can find what you are looking for. The store restrooms are very clean. The clearance racks are amazing and awesome. Everyone have a happy face. Someone will approach you and ask you, "Do you need any assistance?" This shopping experience was amazing and I recommend Belks in Williamson NC.

    I have had a horrible experience with an order. Belk has the worst customer service. I shop about 85% online and have never had an item canceled after buying one told it was in stock. I received a cancellation from the sandals because they were “out of stock”. I called Belk's customer service and ask them to substitute a different color for the same price. They flat out refused. I spent thousands of dollars at Belk every year and will not shop there anymore.

    I visited Belks at Pineville mall on 11/11/2019 to pick an order placed for the Charity Day event. I was asked for my license to locate my order. I waited patiently while the employer Bridgette looked for my items. She came back to me about 25 mins later and stated she could not find my items. I nicely asked for my license back, because I was afraid the employer would misplace them. I was on the phone, and told the person who I was talking to that this is pissing me off, because for some reason, they always lose my order.

    After about ten more minutes, the employer gets on the phone and call a manager for assistance. She tells the manager that I was cursing at her and acting disorderly. I had not said anything to her and I just patiently waited for my items. I asked her why she tell her manager that because I been patiently waiting on my items. She said because I said I was getting pissed off. I asked her what I said to her and what curse word was said, and she could not say anything. I had a man and another woman who was waiting for items as well. They looked at me in disbelief and told me they could not believe she done that, because they did not hear me say anything to her.

    I spent over 500 for charity day, and I am going to return every item! Other customers was present, and I am a women of the integrity. That was totally a defamation of character and I will not be treated like that. I spend a lot of money with Belks and people in other departments knows me personally and knows that isn't my character. I left the store manager a message, and no return call. I'm going to return all my items, cut up my card and call corporate!

    All of my credit cards with the exception of 4 were with Synchrony Bank. I have a Belk Credit card since 2015. Most of my payments were set on automatic payments until last month when I Paid In Full on Sept 30 but due date was Oct 2nd. I had a $300 credit balance with Belk. My mother went to purchase 45 worth of Jewelry both of us think we still had $100 plus dollar available balance. The Belk in-store credit card was declined. I called customer service and they said a letter was sent indicating due to my unsatisfactory with credit my balance was reduced to $160, leaving only $9.00 available balance. I was in a state of shock.

    Now, I know by reading these reviews that Synchrony Bank has completely monopolized the major retail stores: JC Penny, Belk, Stein Mart, Ebay, Amazon, Sleep number beds, and so forth. I am so hurt that this company is allowed to do over monopolized and make financial credit decisions on consumers behalf without their knowledge. That is very, very, very wrong. I smell a big fat class action lawsuit coming from consumers. If there will be one, you have dealt with this bank with unsatisfactory results and disappointments please join the future lawsuit or start one.I will join in suing them.

    I will work to rebuild my credit and get back to good standing again. My credit scored dropped due to loss of jobs. I have since gotten work and working my way back again. I do not like being punished for something beyond my control. I am taking my life back from this bank and other banks, they do not dictate my life source.

    Not only did they send the wrong item, it took 3 very long phone calls with customer service to resolve the issue of getting a return label sent to me. The initial call to report that the wrong item was sent took nearly an hour just to create a return process. On top of that the phone representative said the correct item will be sent overnight and gave me a new order number for the exchange - only to discover that order number did not exist when I logged on to their website.

    Five days later, it has not arrived, nor did a return label. Another long phone call to ask why a return label still has not yet been generated and sent to me via e-mail resulted in great frustration when told that the label is still being processed. This was the worst experience with any company I have ever had. The lack of attention to processing the order to the near impossible refund/return procedure is too agonizing to ever warrant a purchase with Belk. Never never make the mistake of shopping at Belk!!!

    I ordered 3 pairs of shorts in a size 4 online at Belk.Com. When I received them, the black and navy pair fitted perfectly. The white shorts were several sizes too large even though they were labeled a size 4. I returned the white pair to the Belk store near me. Since they did not have the white pair in a size 4 in stock, the salesclerk was extremely helpful and ordered another white pair and shipped them to me free. If I had reordered them online, I would have had to pay a $6.95 shipping free since I didn't meet the free shipping limit. The salesclerk was very helpful and apologetic for the sizing issue.

    I’m not sure who handles the online orders but this is the second time I’ve ordered sandals from the Belk, and the pair they send me are incorrect. The first order was about 2 yeas ago, they sent the wrong color. And now recently they’ve sent me a completely different color and shape! It’s like whoever is responsible for matching correct products is asleep! Then they send you a return label days later. It’s just an annoying hassle and I feel like there’s other better companies out there, who don’t mess up orders. 2 strikes you're out, this isn’t baseball.     I returned at least 10 tops. I have all the documentation. The bag was 17" x 16" x7". It was extremely heavy. I packaged it with shipping tape to cover any possible openings. I dropped it at a Fed Ex drop off location. Supposedly, even though I have all the documentation, they tell me they ONLY received 1 Item. One blouse would not take the size package listed above.

    THEN...customer service. I have no idea who they hire. Maybe elementary school dropouts!!!. I called on 5 different occasions. At one point, their power went out (hmmm). Another time the customer service rep (must have been new) took a total of 30 minutes with me for a return. (I was placed on hold after each and every question). Another agent told me it was going to Corporate. (now that's a good one). Another said all my information after including case numbers were all wiped out of their computer. At this point I don't even remember what the last one said. (guess I could look at "ALL" my notes).

    Well it's now been months. I have been a loyal customer for years. I am a professional adult and expect honesty and a credit. Do I need to weigh the package at home and video it? Do I need to video myself handing the package over to a fed ex drop off agent? Buyer Beware. In all of my years, I have never seen anything like this. I wonder if the corporate office even cares. Do they know how poor their customer service staff is. I have not given up, as a refund is due to me.

    I went to pick up a repair from the jewelry counter the Belk in Bristol Tn last week. The counter was a mess, the floor was a mess and there was junk everywhere and the displays were a jumbled mess! The lady I usually deal with was off that week according to the new manager of the department and that this chihuahua was mad at her. She went on and on about how awful this lady was and that she didn't need her help. All she could talk about was how the previous manager who I also know Sandra wasn't smart enough to run a department right, and a nice lady she was making fights with and she was going on some trip that another customer was paying for and that Belk better let her go and how this lady Pat was always buying her expensive bags, trips, etc.

    When I tried to tell her I would just like to get me repair she proceeded to run this girl into the ground. I found it so unprofessional and unappealing that I simply left afterwards. I cannot believe they would let a manager talk about another employee so badly and since she is the manager of jewelry why she didn't know how to ring up a repair keep her trap shut and simply do as I asked without all the horn blowing! I made the mistake of asking why she was so unhappy. She proceeded to throw her manager Racheal under the bus saying she was getting no support, that her new store manager was an idiot and that when they had hired her they never told her they were making her a manager and that since she had gotten there, every one was quitting.

    I have never met anyone so disrespectful so unprofessional and so gossipy in my life! The lady I deal with usually is such a sweetheart, has gone out of her way on more than one occasion for me and has ALWAYS gone above and beyond for me. I had to come back out the next week because MS GOSSIP had rung up my purchase incorrectly, and who do I see? My favorite lady Rita with a smile and being her usual helpful self. I mentioned to her what had happened and how concerned I was about the experience and behavior of her manager and she apologized to me! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? This lady was nothing but nice, wouldn't say a mean thing about this chihuahua and then apologized to me for it!

    All I can say is this lady has more class in her little finger than that little chihuahua. Sadly the one person who knows more does more and is more all around a nice person and knows how to treat a customer will probably be run out of there. All I know is I will not be shopping at Belk when I see that chihuahua, she is a bad representative for Belk and should not be in charge of anything! She is just a gossip and pretty stupid if you ask me.

    The state of jewelry is not improved. It looks terrible and messy Sandra always did a nice job IMHO of keeping that counter organized and Rita has always ALWAYS given the best customer service and help even if it wasn't her department. If this is an indication of where Belk is headed I can understand why good people are leaving and what's left behind is flea market leftovers.

    Shame on Belk for not having vetted their people better. It also should be a problem for Belk to have this woman Nina running her mouth and downgrading everyone from her own crew to her bosses. The only person she had anything nice to say about was Pat who is a customer who buys her things. Most companies do not allow their employees to accept gifts or tips from customers for good reasons. However, not Belk! Also, my receipt and my things I bought smelled of smoke from Nina touching them. This made me sick to my stomach on the way home smelling that in the back seat. I had to return those items because I couldn't stand that smell!

    Placed an order for a pair of training shoes 2 weeks ago, money was taken out of my account the same day and I still don’t have any shoes. I’ve emailed Belk saying that I haven’t received the shoes and that the only thing I have is the confirmation of the order being placed and that it says the order is in progress. When I go to my account it shows that I don’t have an order so I can’t even track it. If I ever get a refund or the shoes I ordered I’ll never order from the company again! The long and the short of it.... Buyer Beware!!!!

    If I could give 0 stars I would. Very disappointed with the customer service I received today. So I ordered a pair of Miss Me jeans while receiving 30% off, was later advised they were out of stock and my order was cancelled. When I called was advised a note would be put in my account stating I would be able to call in and order a pair I liked once my size was in stock. Well of course they never got the same type in. Long story short I called in to place an order after finding a pair only to be told I would not receive my promised discount because it must be the same item. There was absolutely no customer service skills involved in the call. I was unable to get my jeans at the price I was promised. I have been a card hold with Belk for a long time. After this I will be taking my money elsewhere!

    I placed an order online on July 17. I received confirmation for the order and on July 18 received a notice that 3 of the 4 items had shipped with an expected delivery date of July 23. The next schedule of events is a little lengthy so please bear with me. July 19- left Fedex in Concord, NC and later that day was received at Fedex in Martinsburg, WV. No more tracking info until accepted at postal facility in Stephens City, VA on July 22. 2 hours later- "delivery exception, rerouted to correct delivery address". July 23 shipment info sent to US Postal service. July 23 left Fedex in Martinsburg, WV AGAIN!!! July 23 in transit to Postal Service in Front Royal, VA- which is 10 miles from my house and where any mail to me ships from to our small city post office. Good- right? NOOOOO!!!! At 2:42pm on July 23, there's a new tracking post- In transit to Greensboro, NC!!!

    So I called customer service at approx 6:30pm to see why my package was travelling all over 3 states and still couldn't get to me. (Oh- and might I add that the 4th item in my shipment shipped AFTER this package and got to me on July 20?) All customer service could tell me was that it was still scheduled for delivery that day and since the day wasn't over yet, they couldn't do anything. So my logical question was -Ok- 2 things. Is it coming from Fedex or the postal service since both were on the tracking info? They didn't know. Next, if it doesn't come July 23 (which at 630pm I was pretty sure it wouldn't) how do I go about finding out where it is and when it will arrive at my house? The answer I got was that they couldn't do anything until the carrier marked it as delivered and I did not get it.

    I wasn't asking for a refund or for them to reissue it- just to help me find out where it was but NOPE!! I asked to speak to a supervisor, was put on hold for SEVERAL minutes (I think she thought I would hang up but at that point that wasn't going to happen) and she basically told me the same thing that the customer service rep said. As I told her - not that she seemed to care- I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN!!!!

    I've shopped at Belk since I was a child and have had a Belk Rewards card for many years. A couple of years ago, I decided to start paying all of my bills online to save paper and money needed for stamps. This has worked out great for me, and I always pay my bills on time, usually through auto payments. I don't shop at Belk every month, and I hadn't noticed that a year had gone by since I last shopped and paid a bill for Belk. But I bought something in May and again in June. Today, I was completely shocked to receive my July electronic bill saying that I was late on paying the June bill, and I was charged interest and a $25 late fee! But I never received a June bill! I checked through my spam and trash, and nothing was there. I receive emails from Belk several times a week announcing sales, so why didn't they send me a bill?

    I called and talked to a nice customer service representative, who explained that if you don't use your account for an extended time, they will stop sending electronic bills, So, in my case, I didn't get a bill until I was overdue. I didn't feel this was right -- how am I supposed to pay a bill if I don't receive it? Other companies don't do business this way. She put me on hold, then came back and said she would have the $25 fee waived, but there was nothing she could do to prevent this from happening again in the future, except I could launch a complaint, which I did to her on the phone, and I'm writing it here. She also said even if I used auto payments (which I do on many bills), there would be the same problem -- if the card isn't used for an extended period, it would affect the auto payments, so a card might not get paid automatically.

    There is a software glitch with this payment program, and someone in the IT department needs to address this issue. Customers should receive bills EVERY month when there is a payment due, whether or not the card has been used recently. I don't want to cancel my Belk card because I like our local store, and I like the coupons I receive online. But I did go ahead and cancel two other department store cards that I hardly ever use, thinking they might have the same policy. Just be careful with paperless billing...unless this issue is addressed on the software end, there will be many more people like me unhappily surprised that they are "late" on a bill they never received.

    I purchased a pair of shoes on the Belk website. When they arrived, I was surprised that there were two left shoes in the box. I immediately called customer service. They sent me a FedEx label to ship the shoes back. However, when I received an email that the return had been received, they only refunded the price of the shoes. I was not refunded the $9.00 it cost me to have them shipped to my house. I called customer service and they said they don't refund shipping. I still can't believe they made a huge error on the order and they still expect me to pay shipping. I'm very disappointed and won't be shopping at Belk anymore.

    I visited Belk in Little Rock for a pair of Hue leggings, priced 34.00. The clerk scanned them for $36.00 plus tax. When I pointed out the discrepancy, she said,"Belk does that. It's not my fault." I paid, but I really should not have completed the transaction. Belk needs to be more honest in marking prices. I won't shop there again.

    Returned 5-items via FedEx. FedEx tracking confirmed that they received my returned items May 2nd. I started calling on Monday looking for my refund— lots of run around from customer service... Their suggestion call back in a couple of days— called back — more run around— still not even ‘checked in’. This is a scam! Yesterday (after 8-days) I finally spoke with a rep who ‘push-it’ through. Why couldn’t they have done that on Monday? Now they’re telling me that I will have to wait another 5-days for my money—- I think it’s their plan to keep your money-hoping you don’t follow-up on your return. With this botched transaction they’ve LOST a customer.

    I had to return some valances that I ordered because I needed one more, and they were out of stock, with no info in regards to if they would be getting more product in. I was stuck paying for return shipping, which was very disappointing. Then when I called today to see why I haven't received my refund, the representative couldn't even find my return. According to my tracking #, Belk received my return on May 1st. So the representative said she would forward my info to corporate and I would hear back from them in 72 hrs, so who knows when I'll actually see my refund!!

    And the best part is, when my conversation with the representative was complete, she did not realize that we hadn't been disconnected and she proceeded to laugh with another co-worker about "how heated I was." Ummmm Ma'am, you'd be a bit heated too if your issue wasn't being taken seriously!! I was nothing but polite with her and that's her reaction to a customer?!? So disrespectful!! My best advice, if you are going to make a purchase online @ Belk.com, make sure you're planning on keeping it, because their return process is a joke!!

    Went to the Men's dept to buy a few clothes. There were two young clerks in the dept. They were not helping anyone, but I am used to poor service at malls. A woman walking through actually directed me. The merchandise was all over the racks and on the floor, but I found a few pants and shirts I wanted. None were on sale, I do not really care about sales. I took them to the unmanned register and waited. And waited. And waited. I thought the clerks might be helping others, so I did not expect fast, but no one ever showed up. There were a number of other customers trying to make purchases. I finally dropped everything on a rack and left, telling the woman on the way out that it is very difficult to buy something at Belk's. After twenty five years of their big drama checkout routines, and the new garage sale decor, I am done with them. Life is too short.

    Very sad at the loss of our once Southern classic store. This store is now dreadful. We went in today to buy two summer suits, some updated ties, and several dress shirts for my husband. The dress shirts and ties were wadded, thrown, in the floor, upside down and hanging from the tables... Who wants to dig through a garage sale stack to pay retail for a Ralph Lauren shirt? It was so bad that I started cleaning up myself! I pulled two suits, several shirts and ties and placed them on the counter. I helped my husband select 3 or 4 different outfits. Another gentleman approached us and asked me for help for items for a wedding!!!! Then a lady asked me to help her with a graduation outfit for her son! At no time, did any of us see an employee.

    As we collected our things to find someone to pay, a lady said "Can I help you?" And I actually laughed. She rang us up and then another woman appeared to ring up the others, whom I assisted, we jokingly asked if I would get a commission. One of the suits was on a rack marked $49.99. Assuming the pants and jacket since half of the rack was these suits... The lady begrudgingly had to give us the price since the rack was marked incorrectly and she became more rude stating that "Those jackets are never that price". Like anyone would know?! The prices are never as marked in this store!!!

    The store is messy, the sales staff is rude and will not help, the shoes are crap, (shoe salespersons walk around you), the brands are cheap, made in China garbage, the credit card company is not worth dealing with... So sad to say goodbye to a once true southern classic department store with charm. :( Whoever purchased this wonderful place has destroyed the one and only store we had here. Guess I will be headed to Macy's. ;((

    Previously Belk.com was a very decent place to shop however of late that is no longer the case. Recent order placed online totaling $230.59 was just sitting and not processing and had sent numerous e-mails and online web site contact forms which were totally ignored so after calling was told BELK.com uses the useless inept lame order screening process which CANCELS orders for no valid reason. Another business that apparently does not want any future business or does not need any future business either.     Belk has always been my favorite store. No matter the location everyone is always so cheerful and helpful and the selection is always so great and of wide variety. My size is an 11 in pants and a LG in tops and I always find something in my size that looks great and I ALWAYS save tons of money. I even order online some and have never had to send a thing back it came on time and was just as advertised. Belk has constant sales and other opportunities to save money. I buy more than clothes at BELK and never have I had a problem. I am so glad I have 2 nearby! This day and time it is hard to find decent clothing that fits my personality and my budget and Belk never ceases to amaze me!

    My review is not about a bad experience. It is about the appearance of the store itself in Albany, GA. I don't know what's happened and I don't know if all Belk's stores are like the way this one has become. This was once a beautiful, classy store and now it looks like a drab flea market. Clothes are all jammed up and it gives the appearance of another discount clothing store or flea market with much higher prices. Please send someone with authority to look it over and clean it up and make it the beautiful store it once was.

    I am about to check out just as I finished stacking up my order, before I clicked place order (step 1 before billing) my credit card company prompted via SMS that I was charged with $108, the cost of all the products. Btw, my payment method was saved in their account. Since there was no confirmation by Belk, I thought it was just a glitch so I tried clicking "place order" again, then I was sent with an SMS AGAIN. Checked my order history, no orders whatsoever. I contacted them and told me that there's nothing to worry about because payment will not go through unless they ship my order.

    Then, my credit card was temporarily put on hold by my bank. Called them up and they said that BELK.COM was trying to charge me SEVEN TIMES!!! But my bank won't let them go through and rejected them because of unauthorized activity! Crazy! My bank told me to deactivate my credit card and change to a new one because they worry that BELK will charge me as my details are already with them... which I did. I had to deactivate my credit card and get and pay for a new one. Because of you. I wish this shop will just stop scamming their customers and excuse themselves for technical errors or whatever excuse you find. Hope you stop charging people for something they have not ordered yet! You guys are the worst!

    I have been using Estee Lauder products for many years and would like to try samples of some of the newer moisturizers, eye creams, and primers. I have visited the cosmetic counter at the Belks in Bristol, TN at the Pinnacle and have asked several times on several occasions for samples to try, and was told they no longer give out samples and they were only available to purchase. I am very dissatisfied with their rudeness and unwillingness to help you with their products. May have to switch dept stores or switch makeup brands...

    I was unable to login my Belk Premier Account through Synchrony Bank and was told there was a technical problem with my account. I called and was told my account had been closed and was told it was reported lost. Later I was told it was reported as fraudulent by me 3 days ago and I made no such call. They also added under a fraud close a new card could not be issued. They would not tell me if I would still be qualified for the 10% off groceries and gas they were running as a promotion for 3 months and I had used the card more frequently specifically for that reason.

    Synchrony must hire the rudest and most unfriendly and uncaring customer service. They would not look further into the matter and just said to re-apply for a new card. This will most likely affect my credit score as well. I would stay away from cards that are backed by Synchrony Bank. I had worked my card up to Premier MasterCard rewards and had never since the card had been opened with a late payment, always on time or early.

    This was my first and last shopping on Belk.com. I ordered a product 5 quantity, total for 30$ and paid $8.95 for shipping. Till here all good. After few days received an email that 4 quantities will be canceled and one will be shipped for 6$ and still charged $8.95 shipping charges. Really... Who pays 9$ shipping for 6$ item? I called customer service and they said, "This order can’t be canceled and return the item once received." "What about my shipping charges and returned shipping charges?" There is no answer for that. They are just cheating the people. They are worst than eBay where you buy from various sellers, still eBay guarantees. The customer service staff is completely rude.

    After two bad experiences shopping on Belk.com, I am officially no longer a Belk customer. First, I ordered a fancy laundry hamper about 6 months ago. It took a few weeks to arrive, thrown into a too-large box with no packaging, dirty and broken. I took it to the store where they were so amazed by its condition that a little group of employees gathered around to see. Nevertheless, they insisted that I ship it back at my own expense. No apologies, very unfriendly about the whole thing.

    A few months later, I ordered a throw for Christmas for in-store pick-up. My fault that I missed the pick-up notice--it was in my Gmail "promotions" folder (which I rarely check). But the issue was that they charged me for it, despite a policy that customers aren't charged for merchandise they don't pick up. It took two painful months of repeated calls, chats, and emails to get a refund. They eventually admitted it was their error, but only after insisting that I was mistaken and being downright surly at times. I have been a lifetime customer, spent tens of thousands of dollars in that store, and they just lost me over a $38 throw. Go to Macy's!

    I order a product from Belk.com and they sent me a similar but different product. The first time this happened I returned the item to a store because they want you to pay shipping to return by mail (even though it was their mistake). I reordered the item online and was again sent the same wrong item. I called their customer service back twice (first time got disconnected and rep never attempted to call me back even though she took down my contact info at beginning of call). I held for 40 minutes when I called back only to get an incompetent employee who could not help me at all or advise me what to do. He told me to give them 5 business days to research the matter and they would be back in touch with me. Guess what? They never got back in touch with me!

    Also they never once apologized for the multiple errors or inconvenience (service reps or in store reps). Worst customer service I have experienced in a while! Lastly when I went online to leave a review on the product so that other customers didn't order it and have the same misfortune that I did, I submitted a review. Guess what? Belk refused to publish my review. Shame on you Belk!! You have lost a long time loyal customer. Buyers beware!!!

    I ordered my elderly father-in-law a shirt for Christmas - placing the order on December 15th. I received an email on the 20th saying the shirt was on its way then I got another email saying the order was delayed until December 28th. I contacted Belk and asked them to cancel the order. They claimed that the delay was not a back order but was a shipping delay but refused to explain what that meant. (Two weeks to ship?) I had another shirt on Amazon delivered for Christmas and the Belk shirt just showed up. I am not asking my elderly relative to return this shirt so I guess I will fight them on my credit card now.

    Belk closed my Mom's card (customer for 15 years) due to not enough activity. She spends over $1000 or greater there a year and had a credit limit of $2500. They told her to fill out another application - she did and got a $300 limit. They told her she didn't have enough Credit Card experience. She is 78 and has plenty of experience with Belk and with other creditors. She closed her account for good and will be going to Dillard’s.

    We both went to the South Park store November 26th. We shop at the higher end section. No one greeted us, asked if they could help us in the following areas: High end shoe section, Ralph Lauren, Michal Kors, Free People. Mercedes in the shoe section perpendicular to the high-end area DID ask if she could assist. We gave her all our shoes, and clothing sales. Between the 3 of us, she got over $1000 is sales. These store associates used to be FANTASTIC, not anymore. The new owners have made sure of that... No one is happy, including their customers. Headed to Dillard’s to open an account.

    I ordered an item that I was excited to have on my coffee bar for Christmas, I had bought some other matching piece that came fine but this one item kept coming broken. Every time I would call the minute I opened it and all Belk would do would send me a new one. That was fine after the first time but by the 4th time it was a little ridiculous! Not once were they sorry for the inconvenience. No refund of my money - nothing - just want to keep shipping me the same item.

    I had asked that they pack it better as the reason it was breaking was it had no packing, nothing on it saying Fragile. I asked it be checked and signed off before left warehouse to make sure it was not leaving there like that. Nothing - kept showing up in a thin box with no packing around it. At the end of the day I am really disappointed as I did not want my MONEY back. I wanted the ITEM I ORDERED! I finally told them, "No more. Refund my money. I am done. This has been 4 times!" Just the lack of care in shipping and to even make it right with the customer is what is disappointing. We will see how hard now it is to get my money back as now I am told it has to be reviewed by supervisors and if I don't hear anything in a week to call back?!?! REALLY!!! Feel like this is going to be another joke!

    Belk use to be my enjoyable place to shop. Now with the dishonesty with the coupons I will no longer be a fan and will warn anyone and every one of their dishonesty. For at least the last year Belk has not honored their coupons. Not one coupon has been honored that I have tried to use. I picked an item with a "Bonus Buy" sign so my coupons are worthless. Who does not shop for Bonus Buys! That is what we do...and then plan our expenses making sure we have the coupons to help. Quit sending out the worthless coupons if they cannot be used on over 99% of the items you sell. Save the trees... You are wasting them!

    I am disappointed to find that you have to spend at least $75 dollars to redeem one $15 Belk buck. Belk needs to follow example of other retailers. If you earn them, you can spend them wherever you want as long as it in the time frame. So if you spend $300 dollars you may receive $60 in Belk bucks but have to spend another $300 to redeem them, ridiculous and worthless.

    The Belk Rewards program is pretty worthless. It takes 1000 points to even earn a reward which is in the form of a coupon. So even though you receive $15 in "Belk Bucks", you have to spend $75 for the coupon to apply. It's the worst rewards program of any I have used. The Belk Rewards card is also a MasterCard that can be used anywhere, but why would anyone use it when other cards actually give you cash back for points? My advice is to use a different card and skip Belk.

    I purchased a Micheal Kors handbag on 11/14/18, 3 in stock at time of purchase. It has been 7 days and now Belk claims it is on backorder. They claim there is a 10-day wait on all back ordered purchases (per policy), which isn't found in the Belk online policy. Problem is you (the consumer) don't know it's back ordered until after you purchase an "in stock" item that Belk happens not to have. The Belk customer service number is a 3rd party "unaffiliated" organization. They make up policies that don't exist and argue with the consumer. People shouldn't have to deal with this mess at Christmas. After speaking to a "Manager" I was given a claim number for immediate cancellation. This "immediate" cancellation takes 48-72 hrs? Absolutely, nothing they claim makes any logical sense.

    I ordered from Belk.com for the very first time about 2 weeks ago. I ordered an expensive (over $120) pair of boots. I waited and waited for just the order confirmation, which eventually did arrive a couple of days later. I waited for the shipping confirmation, which never came. What did arrive in my email, a full week later, was a notice that my order had been cancelled. No explanation, no timeline for when I could expect my money to be refunded, just a number for me to call with questions. Oh, yes I did call that number! I was told that the boots were out of stock...then why was I allowed to pay for them?!

    The customer service person had no idea when I would receive a refund and was generally clueless about the entire situation. I had to be the one to inform the person that it plainly states that Belk does not take money from my account until the item actually ships, yet they took money from my account. Long story short, I did get the money back, but not before I waited 2 weeks. During the time this was all going on, I placed another order with Belk. 14 days. That’s how long I will wait for those items to arrive. Absolutely ridiculous. I'm done ordering from Belk.

    I ordered 3 pairs of Rampage Booties one in each color. I wear an 8 1/2 so that what I ordered. I received the shoes only to find they don't fit...because the website says easy return & exchange. I called to exchange. But what it doesn't say is you can't exchange online purchases...wait what! How ridiculous is that. Then they tell you you have to pay to ship it back... Again not something mentioned on the website.

    I called three times. 1st girl tells me I should have order my right size. Lol was she serious. 2nd associate apologizes tells me she will email me a free ship label. That's was now 9 days ago. The 3rd time I called I wanted someone to tell me exactly where to find this policy. Everyone keeps telling me about but she was unable to locate it but proceeded to tell me it is their policy.

    I sent two emails that have yet to be responded to. I tried to do a review on the website. They didn't like what I had to say (exactly what I stated here). They responded quickly saying they can't publish my review. Didn't even know companies could do that. I strongly feel they tricked me because this info was NOT mentioned under the RETURNS & EXCHANGE POLICY and because it was not mentioned I purchased thinking it would be simply a pie like every other online purchase. What really bugs me is I went back and did the MYFIT to find my perfect fit and it said 8 1/2 lol. So now how do I handle this? DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.

    I placed my order on a Monday, received email stating order was in progress. Next day no email regarding shipping so I just sent an email asking how long it takes to ship? 24 hours later no response to email so I call customer service asking if they could tell me when my order will ship? She responds with, "Sorry I don't know for sure but should be today???" Next day still no email response or notice of shipment. Call customer service again, they still cannot tell me when my order will ship, apparently they have no communication with the warehouse? Frustrated I ask for them to "Cancel my order since you cannot tell me when it will go out." Can't cancel either, you have a 15 minute window after order is placed to cancel??

    Does this make any sense with today's technology? I know Amazon is really good but why do you have a customer service department that cannot service the customer? Even more frustrated I let my husband handle it since he has a way with words. He tells me he is convinced the order is canceled so that I can place my new order with a reputable store and ended up being cheaper. Well today I get an email my order shipped??? Had I read reviews on Belk prior to ordering I would have never considered this store. Seriously do not know how you are in business. Worst Customer Service and doesn't deserve any stars!

    Tried to order a pair of pants for store pick-up. They took the order then canceled it unilaterally. Tried to call them and they placed another order in the wrong color. Called them back and they said that they couldn't just change the order - so they needed a new order and would overnight it to me. Nothing! No confirmations and no package. Belk has done this to me before. That is, they take orders for things they don't have. They don't call you to explain why, give you options or otherwise assist. You are SCREWED!!! My advice is to stay away from Belk period. Saw they went out of business at Phipps Plaza in Atlanta probably with good reason. Would give them negative stars if possible. Worst customer service EVER!!!

    I had automatic payments set up and they were paid monthly. I also made bi-weekly payments online as I wanted to pay the balance off quickly. They run your credit multiple times even when your account is in good standing and you have available credit. This makes no sense to me! They lower your credit limit without notice (after the fact is not acceptable notice). Then unbeknownst to me after my account was at a zero balance they closed the account. This lowered my credit score 20+ points. I have tried to get answers and the customer service is rude and unprofessional. The response was that they have a right to check my credit anytime as long as the account is open and that “you should read your credit contract”. I do not recommend this credit company or Belk store credit to anyone if you want to keep your credit in good standing.

    I recently lost my husband. I returned some items to Belk for a refund and received a credit on my card. Two months later instead of leaving the credit on my card they sent a refund check in my late husband's name. They are refusing to reissue the check in my name and/or reinstate the credit. The argument is that even though my name is on the account he was the primary. After talking to 3 different people, one a supervisor, the issue is unresolved. In the end I told them I would shred the check, to close the account, do not open a new account in my name, as I no longer wish to do business with them.

    I ordered 3 times from Belk. The first time, I got a color variation of what I ordered. Not the correct color but the correct item. I returned it. The second time, I got another variation of what I ordered. Not correct but similar. Returned it. The third time, I must have received someone else’s previously returned merchandise. It was a white shirt with either chocolate splatter or blood splatter on the front of the shirt. There was another greenish stain that someone had tried to blot out. It was faded but the fabric was stiff and bumpy over the greenish stain. What’s wrong with these people? Does Belk just not care about their reputation?

    I ordered Bandolino Mandie Petite jeans, Size 12 Short in Cabernet Fig and they arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I checked my Visa CC balance and activity, and there were no duplicate or extra charges whatsoever. I'm expecting the second half of my order in a day or two (same pants, in green) and expect them to arrive in perfect shape as well.

    I placed 15 Belk orders on 08/03/2018. The total amount is around $1,000, and I did not receive any one of them. Here are the order numbers: **. I contacted Belk many times, every agent gives me a different response. They created at least 3 case number for me, and nothing happened. I have to keep contacting, so they solved 12 orders and ignored the rest 3. Right now they asked me to contact PayPal. I did, but Belk refused to refund to PayPal, and they even provided the tracking number of OTHER replaced order to PayPal. I can't believe Belk has such a horrible customer service! NEVER shopping in Belk!

    A couple of months ago we were given a new Belk credit card, apparently Belk moved their CC processing from Visa to MC. During the transition we were sent a monthly bill where we owed about $200. Being someone who doesn't like to have outstanding credit card balances I went ahead and paid the full amount due about 2 weeks prior to the due date. Well, the payment was posted to the older account (the one tied to the older credit card). In the meantime we are getting letters and notices from the underlying bank (Synchrony Bank) stating we are past due!

    We have spoken with Belk 4 times and they refuse to move the money from one account to the other! All they say is that it is a process that may take 30 days! This situation is totally unbelievable! The issue can be fixed with a click of the keyboard! We are totally disgusted with Belk. I wrote their CFO yesterday asking if he could get this done. We will never shop at Belk again! They were bought out recently by a private equity firm out of NY. They are having a difficult time and I can see why! The way they treat their customers is disgusting! Instead of correcting the posting of our payment they would rather see our credit impacted by some bank they scooped up to handle their cards. Don't deal with these people! They could care less about customer relations. Just don't do it. Let them know that without respect for the customer they are history.

    Beware if you use a debit card. They will take out a "preauthorization for the full amount" and then as it is shipped will debit your account the amount shipped. The problem is it takes 3-5 days to get the preauthorization back in your account so in actuality you are being billed twice and then credited back. Make sure you have enough money in your account!!!

    I have left only positive reviews on experiences with other companies, but I feel strong enough about my negative experience that I needed to write a review. I had the same experience as a customer below for billing me twice, then it took 5 days and two phone calls to get it off my account. Second, their return policy is crap if THEY DO send the wrong items, or you simply need to return. This is not a company that can survive in the internet shopping age. Everything added up to a poorly run or staffed company in all areas. I will never, ever go to their site again even if the prices are better, because it's not worth it.

    I hope I could give ZERO star. Two of my orders were cancelled without any reason. They did not even let you know that your orders were cancelled. This company is just collecting your credit card information. It is very dangerous! Be very careful of this company!!!

    Ordered two shirts. They billed me multiple times for the same two items. They sent the wrong item. They did refund my ship charges and sent a return label but after having the two items in their possession for weeks now, I do not have a refund for the shirts. Ordered two shirts on the website. They billed me once, they billed me twice, they billed me a third time I called to complain. They fixed it and instead billed me for half the order twice, once for $42.85, once for $42.84. They sent me a package, it did not have the item pictured on their website. I was a little pissed. Got a nice supervisor who refunded my $24.95 for expedited shipping (because they shipped the wrong shirts) and then sent me a mailing label to my email so I could return the shirts without paying to return the incorrect item.

    And by this time, I was done with Belks so I sent the items back and it has been weeks, when I called several weeks ago I got one story, then I called the next week, I got another story, when I called earlier this week and spoke to a VERY, VERY young sounding man who was not able to help me because I was upset and I was not polite enough for him. I called tonight to be told they sent me two more shirts (oh, really, and on what planet did they think I wanted two more shirts) and so they are not refunding my money because I have two new shirts... let me make this perfectly clear... I DID NOT RECEIVE ANOTHER PACKAGE FROM BELKS, I DO NOT WANT ANOTHER PACKAGE FROM BELKS, I do not want anything from belks except my money back.

    It has been weeks & weeks & weeks. It's $60, they can't possibly need my money that badly. I want my money back. Their people are inept, slow, great at giving lip service and hope you just go away. It has been weeks. I want my money back and for the trouble you are giving me, I would like to respond by posting five reviews about your store for every day I get no response.

    I saw that there were several reports of problems with orders from the Belk.com website, but thought the experience would be better if I ordered from the website and picked it up at the local Belk store. This saved both shipping and the time I would have spent hunting down the item in the store. At first, I thought this would be easy. I received a confirmation email; and later, the email that my purchase was ready for pickup. When I arrived at Belk, I asked the woman at customer service where to go. She thought the pickup desk was on the third floor, but when I said that most stores have pickup close to an entrance, she called and found that it was, indeed near one of the other entrances.

    I went to the designated spot, and there it was: a desk with a large sign that said Online Order Pickup but there was nobody there. I waited a while, and then sat on a nearby chair, prepared to snag any Belk associate who ventured near. It never happened. I finally called the store. The desk had no extension, so I tried calling a manager. No answer. I left a message to send someone to Online Pickup. Finally, I decided that the only option was find my purchase myself. I did find it on a shelf with other pickup items in an area in the back where I probably should not have been. I took the bag with my name on it and left the store. The next day, I received an email that my order had been picked up. I wonder how they thought that happened.

    I placed an online order. Two items did not fit. Called to exchange only to find out to do an online order exchange you have to go to the store to exchange the items. This defeats the purpose of online ordering. Once at the store, I wanted to pay my balance. The return really confused them on my balance. It is simply subtraction! The clerk, who was very kind but her ability to assist me was greatly restricted by company policy. I went to my car, called customer service and 48 minutes later they finally figured out what I owed and wanted me to pay them $10.00 to pay them!

    I left a credit balance on my card to cover the cost of the items I had reordered and closed my card. Belk then decided to cancel my order. I called customer service for a refund and was transferred to Synchrony Bank. They do not allow you to speak and will not return your credit to the credit card you paid your bill with 'because they can't credit a card that is closed'! WHAT? Bottom line, they are mailing me a check which I should receive in 5 to 15 business days! Suggest ordering from a company that cares about their customers, offers customer service and understands the meaning of 'online ordering'. Done with Belk... There are too many other, better options to online shopping!
