Pettable provides emotional support animal (ESA) resources, such as ESA letters from licensed therapists and online psychiatric service dog training. An ESA letter may be required by a landlord to allow you to keep your support animal in housing that otherwise prohibits pets. If you're not approved for a letter, Pettable provides a full refund. At the recommendation from my son (who also used Pettable), I used Pettable to obtain my ESA letter. The online process was super easy and user friendly, and the required call with one of their therapists was pleasant. My son's apartment community asked for more clarification as to why each specific cat he owns served as an emotional assistance animal. He said he reached back out to his therapist at Pettable and she quickly provided him with the documentation he needed. I would highly recommend Pettable!

I did a screening with a licensed therapist at Pettable. I had to open up about certain triggers and what those make me feel. She also asked me about our dog, if I could handle the training and if he would be a good candidate. I shared his behavior and what he's used to seeing and she was agreeing to it. She said, “He has the behavior. He's not hyperactive. He's people-friendly, but he focuses on you, mostly. Those are good qualities.” She explained to me the following steps and what it would take.
For the basic training, he had to know how to keep his attention on me even if there were distractions around. For the PSD training, it was a little more rigorous. We had to condition him to still have his focus on me and still be able to do the “Sit,” “Come,” “Stay,” which he already knew how to do. Now, he's ESA-licensed. He is PSD-certified as well, so he can come along with me during travels and when I have to fly on planes. There was one occasion where we picked up my parents from an airport. He was very calm and near me the whole time. There was a luggage that fell. It was a pretty big one but he just got out of the way and still looked at me. Pettable is good. I spoke to another friend of mine who she did training with her dog with a different company but her dog is still limited on certain places. I told her about Pettable and she is considering going to Pettable for their next dog.

I had my renewal appointment on 7/31/24, but have yet to receive a response of a new document in your website nor notification in my email from the doctor yet. Waiting on this document to complete an application for a new apartment & cannot complete without it. I’m planning to move by the end of this month. Please hurry!

It was hard to contact my designated professional, and I had to reschedule as they didn’t pick up the phone or leave any context to reschedule. There have been no status updates since the rescheduled meeting, nor a copy of the letter sent (nor the original letter sent out), with the pre-lease meeting bearing down hard on a due date. I was, and at time of writing, left entirely in the dark.

Since leaving this review, Pettable has responded and is issuing a refund. Pettable has a 100% money back guarantee if your letter is denied. At the time, I had a hard time navigating the site to request the refund, so I’m not sure how I was supposed to go about that. I still do not appreciate the unexpected “form fee” required for extra questions. Especially after having paid $199. I think Pettable could have been more upfront about that. But all in all, I will be revising my review from 1 star to 4.

Pettable had good reviews and a lot of the landing pages sent me there because it said that it was more legit. But I’m not happy with my experience. I lived in Idaho and moved to Florida and I wanted to get a new ESA letter within Florida because I couldn't have one from Idaho. So, I went through Pettable. Dealing with the reps from Pettable was fine at first until they started getting very short about my request for an extra form question. In order to get just a signature and ask one more question, they wanted extra fees, which was dishonest. And even though my letter was not accepted, I wasn't refunded in any way. It didn't work and I ended up having to go to my doctor. A better refund policy from Pettable, if it doesn't go through, would be nice.

Everything was great in my experience with Pettable. They have a good price and they are more affordable compared to others. This is my first time trying it and it was an easy experience. I feel like as a first-time user, I had reassurance knowing that if the letter didn't work out, there was a refund option. That helped me choose them over somebody else. It seemed really quick and easy with Pettable and they offer some discounts during the beginning of the year, which was helpful since I'm a student so I chose them. Then, I asked for a refund recently and their reps were really nice and it was really smooth. I had a great experience working with Pettable to register my 2 dogs as ESAs for housing purposes. I was nervous about having to tell someone all of my issues and try and justify how important my dogs were for my well-being. But the process was super smooth and non-invasive, other than filling out questionnaires. I did not feel judged and it was a super simple process. People tend to look down on ESA's so I was nervous to get it for my cat even though she truly helps. Pettable is a life saver. In almost everything I do, I research and research before making a decision. April was really easy to talk to and asked very helpful questions. She was the same therapist I spoke to to get my ESA last year, so we already had formed a relationship, so it was nice to be able to have that background. I was able to elaborate on how my mental health changed in the past year, like starting medication, and how my ESA helped me through it.

Pettable didn't answer my questions. They gave me something I didn't need. All I wanted was an emotional support dog, and I got paperwork for housing. I don't need paperwork for housing. I need to have documentation showing he's an emotional support animal. I paid $250 for this horrible experience. I disclosed everything to them, all our personal information, and I didn't hear back from them. They didn't listen to what I needed. I was not happy at all.

Super easy process, filled out a form, set up an appointment and got a call from a local doctor, from there it took about 3 days until we got the ESA, it came in and we sent it over to our housing, it was approved quickly and easily and we are all set up with our ESA!

Pettable is trustworthy and I use them for my emotional support animal because of their availability. Aside from that, their process is more simple and secure. They send me some forms for me to answer then they give me a call and ask me some questions. Some of them are similar to the form and some of them are completely different. Their reps are good and I like the way that they respect and treat us. I really enjoy their service. Also, their website is pretty easy to use and it wasn't anything too wild. I've renewed with Pettable a couple times, and their price is pretty fair even though I don't know why I didn't really get the discount after I renewed.

Tasha was wonderful, my landlord had to have the ESA letter right away, I contacted her and instead of waiting 48 hrs she was very sweet and said I will take care of it now! The reps were very nice and helpful. I was going through a tough time and they even gave me some advice on therapy and a support line. They were very caring. The whole process of scheduling the session and going over my symptoms and treatments was fine. However, after I sent the letter to my landlord, he called to confirm its validity, and I was billed an extra $50. The clinic seems like a machine designed to extract every single penny they can. My counselor I spoke to had an attitude as soon as I answered her phone. When I told her what was going on with my paperwork she was unhelpful and rude. Other than the counselor everything else is great. Customer support is helpful and gets back to you in a timely manner.

Ok, So I'm just getting around to doing this review after a yr. So sorry! But I am here now. If you are wanting to travel with your fur baby companion, PETTABLE it is. I was so skeptical at first! But if I was willing to pay the airline 125 each way to take my baby with me everytime I traveled, Then I can take a chance on this.... AND it was money back guarantee. Win win! My Kash calms me. (That is my baby's name.) He really helps with my anxiety. He knows when I get anxious. He is the sweetest boy.
I trained Kash tailored to my needs with the help of Pettable. He did great. So smart. He passed and we got our certificate. He has traveled a total of 7x now since. No issues with any airline, even when we had to switch airlines in the middle of a layover. They merely asked to see his certificate (not another DOT form) Luckily I keep that ready on my phone. And just like that, went from Southwest to Delta. Easy peasy. So, yes.... it's works. Like Nike.... JUST DO IT! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!
