A few days ago I wrote customer service regarding crushed and leaking cat food cans. Since that time company have chosen to ignore complaint. Yesterday I opened a 4th 32 count case of cans and again more damaged cans. Some leaked so bad I had to throw away many of the cans. The smell was disgusting. Something needs to be done. I'm an 82 year old that feeds many cats. I cant afford the waste.

My husband and I had our shopping cart just about filled with Friskies canned cat food which when I got my first cat, years ago, was told it’s a very good, high quality cat food. Back then (in the 90s) it was a high quality product. A woman saw us filling our cart with Friskies but walked away after grabbing some other brand of canned cat food. She came back a short time later and identified herself and shared what she learned about Friskies! She said she just had to come back to tell us what she learned because she had to let us know what we were feeding our furkids could make them extremely ill or even kill them. She shared her own personal experiences with Friskies and told us about other cat parents' devastating experiences. She told us horror stories about cats getting deathly ill, vomiting food, vomiting blood, bloody urine, stools, diarrhea...some recovered after their food was changed, and survived. Others weren’t as fortunate.

All of a sudden, my 22 year old cat is refusing to eat Friskies Turkey and Friskies Chicken cat food. I have another cat who is 10 years old. She won't eat them, either. I put it in her dish and she comes up to her dish, smells it, and hisses at it and walks away. Did their formulas change? They have no problem with any of the Friskies seafood dinners. I usually split the can between the two of them at night and they have Iams dry food on demand. Now it seems they will refuse the Friskies poultry and eat the dry food instead. I guess I'm going to have to take it back to the grocery store where I got it and exchange it for Fancy Feast. Bye, Bye Friskies!

I've been feeding my cat, ever since she was a kitten, the little Friskies. I'm not sure what they've done to change the ingredients, but I had to have my cat euthanized on June 8th, 2018. My cat awaken me with five desperate meows at 4:45 a.m. Saturday morning. Wednesday the 6th she was fine playing with me chasing each other back and forth. I clean out the litter box Wednesday night because trash pickup was on Thursdays, when I went down to clean out her litter box Thursday am, she hadn't gone to the litter box. I checked Thursday, pm I notice just a little bit of a urine. June 7th, she ate her food and she kind of just laid around. Kind of kept her distance, she doesn't go out in the grass but I have a deck she usually goes out and she wouldn't walk out that door she stay close to me but wouldn't jump on the sofa with me until it was time to go to bed.

I brought our new rescue cat home about 6 months ago. I stocked up on Friskies canned cat food. I didn’t know which kind to get but Friskies should be fine. He refused to eat “crazy concoctions “. Ok. He reluctantly ate shreds and bits and pate. But if I fed him over a couple of spoonfuls at a time he would consistently vomit. I figured that he was just that way. So I fed him 4-5 times a day to keep it down. While browsing the web I came across some customer complaints for the same thing. I didn’t believe it, but on the outside chance, I switched to 9 Lives. Bingo. That was 2 weeks ago and he has not vomited at all. Even fed him whole cans at a time. (He likes that). I was stunned. How is this possible? I have no idea but the proof is in the puke. Now I feel guilty for making him sick. I do not write complaints. Ever. But this is critical. Our pets can’t tell us so we need to be vigilant.

I have had some sickness in my cats the last year using Friskies Shreds, Meaty Bits, etc, and I have to blame their food source. Tonight why my voracious neighbor's cat turns his nose up to a fresh helping of Bits chicken, I have to say something must be wrong with that food. I am not tolerating a food source that cannot be depended upon for 100% purity. I am tired of having sick cats, diarrhea, bacterial infections, and am changing to another brand besides Friskies.

I run a rescue and ordered several cases of Purina Friskies 13 oz. Poultry platter canned cat foods. I ended up having to throw them out because I found MANY black plastic pieces in the cans. They were all different sizes and shapes. When I contacted Purina they said they hadn't heard about this problem before and would check into it. But when I checked online I found that there were MANY complaints about thick black plastic pieces pet owners have found in their Friskies canned cat food who have contacted the company also.

We have fed Friskies Pate to our cat for years. Beginning at mid May, he began vomiting and was lethargic and no appetite. Went to vet. rx with **. No cause found, Still won't eat much. Losing weight. Today we gave him Fancy Feast and he chowed it down but still won't eat the Friskies Pate. It seems like there is something wrong with the Friskies Pate!!!!

We have been using Friskies wet cat food with no problems since we brought our Siamese babies home in January. They receive one can of wet food, split between them, in the morning, and one can split each evening. These are inside cats only, with no access to poisonous plants, etc. Two nights ago, they stopped eating, and are now vomiting clear fluids. They are terribly ill. The only explanation for them to both become this ill, on the very same day, is the wet food. The dry food that is left for them has not been changed, (it’s a bag we bought over a month ago.)

I have 3 senior cats, all 100% indoor. Last year, I realized that dry food wasn't good for them - constipation, throwing up, over-weight, so I stopped feeding them dry food. They get a tablespoon once a week as a treat and they can tolerate that small amount. They have been eating Friskies canned food for many years with no problem. A few months ago, I saw that one of the cats couldn't tolerate the chicken and tuna, so I stopped getting that for all of the cats. I thought I'd try them on the pate flavors and they liked it. I got beef fillets once in a while, but saw that 2 of the 3 couldn't tolerate it (diarrhea/vomiting) and the one that could can't tolerate a whole can, so that's out.

We have been feeding our cat Friskies shreds for months and she loved it! Last night, just like every other night, we fed her and within hours she was vomiting. She vomited about 5 time. This morning we fed her breakfast thinking maybe it was just she ate too fast... within minutes she was vomiting again—about 4 times, massive piles of vomit. I decided to take all food and water up for a couple of hours because she was drinking water so fast after. I then came here and see that clearly this is a problem and Friskies needs to take responsibility for what they’re doing to our animals!!! I’m trying to feed her rice right now which she hates but she is very hungry which is a plus and thank goodness she’s drinking water but she’s pretty lethargic.

My cats really love your products so much. I started feeding them with your seafood platter and what I've expected is they love it!. They love the taste and this is very affordable. I highly recommend this product.

I opened the Friskies seafood pate box and started feeding my cats. Over the next few days my cats became very ill. I opened one more can and it was moldy and I inhaled it as well. I was offered $20 to replace the box, however since then I have become sick and my cats won’t eat. I am looking for an attorney that handles cases like this one.

I have been feeding my cat Felix Friskies Indoor Food for a year, (plus their canned food) and he developed an illness + blockage issue and he could NOT be saved. I had him on no other food--and the vet seemed reassured that Purina Friskies did him in. I will never ever feed another cat the food--Felix was my best friend. He only lived a year and I am still grieving--I had to put him down towards the end of the month of April thinking he had a UTI, (if only!!!). AVOID this food if you can. There are better (and safer!) options for your cat. He is not in pain anymore, but I'll be damned if I feed my new cat this food!

1 week ago today I purchased a 24 pack of Friskies Mixed Seafood Pate for both my cat & my neighbor's 2 cats whom I am caring for while their parents are on vacation. My Cat: within 4 hours of eating a can of the pate he began vomiting. This happened throughout the night into the next day. Staining the carpet with some odd 'orange' color that WILL NOT come out of my profession spot cleaner. The following day he began to experience diarrhea. My Neighbor's Cat(s): Refused to eat any of the selection which I left out for them. These two are voracious wet food eaters. The next morning the entire house smelled "sour" from this can of food. The following evening I offered a different flavor of seafood selection from the same box. Both cats refused the wet food. In the meantime after 3 day my cat is starting to feel better with a diet of baby food, rice and now has moved up to boiled chicken. NEVER AGAIN!

About 3 months ago, I began noticing hard black objects and larger bone chips in the Seafood and a few other flavors of Friskies canned food. I didn't know what the black objects were. After hearing that others had problems with this cat food, I started looking more closely and found a number of other objects in the food, and many of the black objects... A lot of small pieces I couldn't see very well without my reading glasses. I found what appears to be parts of chicken beaks, along with pieces of wood, and a piece of chert rock, plus many bone fragments and many of the black objects. I have photos of a few of these findings... Plus I kept a few of the objects... the ones I photographed.

I lost a cat on March 12th. He ate Fancy Feast and Pro Plan canned (5 cans a day) and then 24/7 he had dry Purina shreds. He went from 15 lb to 8 lb. He threw up after eating FF. The last bag I opened had cobwebs worms and just looked bad. He was my heart and I’ll never get over this Friskies killing him!!! Purina you need to own up to killing animals!!!

I had been feeding wet and indoor dry Friskies forever. Suddenly my cats would not touch it. They began vomiting bloody, foamy solution, then really sick, lethargic and some diarrhea. The first five was so sick. Took to vet where received fluids and Then to get them to eat. Started cooking chicken and rice for them. The bad thing is I have 17 and not just 5 but all did same thing. Contacted Friskies and they asked how many cans I had just bought and would refund my cost without any other thing asked. I still have food (dry) out of pocket vet bills and expense of purchasing the many packs of chicken and rice. This food had black specks, smelled bad etc. The company should do what’s right and quit making food to KILL our pets. I’m pissed as you can’t tell.

I own 4 cats. One is an adult and the rest are 8 months old. I have been feeding my adult cat dry food (Friskies), and recently started feeding the others three too. I usually mix the dry with the wet one, but just recently, I mixed it Poultry Platter and my cats became sick with diarrhea. One of my kitten got so severe with diarrhea that I took her to see the vet. The vet prescribed ** for five days. From all the reviews that I read about Friskies cat can food, I will definitely be careful. Friskies is cheap, but taking my cats to a vet is very expensive.

We have used 4 cases of Friskies Turkey and Giblet Pate' every two weeks for years. Last week, after consuming most of a new case, my 7 cats became nauseous and lethargic, and projectile-vomited bile and blood, and refused to eat the Friskies, which was weird, as that had been their preferred food. They were becoming dehydrated. My three dogs also became lethargic and lost their appetites. I was afraid we had been poisoned. After reading the complaints already posted, I got some Hill Prescription Diet from my vet, and quit letting the dogs eat Friskies scraps, and within hours, the cats began to perk up, and the dogs are finally hungry today. My vet advised me to post on here, and to contact Chewy, the Friskies manufacturer, and the government, so here we go. Thank you to previous posters who warned about this, and I sincerely hope all is well at your house now.

I have 2 grown cats, a feral cat and 4 baby kittens. I was feeding them an expensive brand of wet food, but they were eating so much with the addition of the kittens that I elected to slowly blend them on to the Friskies Pate & Chicken Lovers foods. All of my cats now have watery diarrhea. The kittens are severely dehydrated and my poor male cat just got neutered and was already not feeling well and now he is SUPER SICK! I am LIVID! A quick google search brought up TONS of other Cat Parents with the same complaints about this food. How is this stuff still on store shelves? My vet bills for re-hydrating these animals is going to be outrageous and my post-surgery cat will be lucky to survive this! I AM FUMING and HEARTBROKEN! Pull this crap from the store shelves NOW!

We’ve been using Friskies canned cat food (shredded and pate) for decades. Suddenly all of my cats are severely sick - throwing up, and having severe diarrhea. We feed them the same canned food as always, nothing changed in their diet. Since my dogs lick out the cans, they also started to have the same exact symptoms. I have no idea what is going on, but in all the decades being a pet owner, I never experienced any outbreak like this. I am seriously suspicious that the cause of all these problems is the Friskies canned food I fed my pets with.

This year my 8 cats all got sick both times that I bought batches of canned wet food. The kind we always use. Chewy has given me credit for that case of food and the other first case I used up not realizing it was contributing to the massive amounts of diarrhea and puking and general malaise I saw in the cats that were getting it. I have used Friskies for awhile. I have now encountered two issues with two different cats after feeding them Pate. Both threw up a large amount of blood mixed with food that appeared like a murder scene. One of my cats literally continued to have drops of blood dripping from his mouth, after two days of not eating on its own I had to force feed him and same with water to keep him hydrated. I used Gerber Chicken Baby food and another major brand of wet food.

I have had cats for the last 25 years and never had any kind of experience like this before. We have only fed our seven cats (and numerous others before) Friskies Wet can food twice a day. They would always run for it and try to eat each other's due to loving wet can food so much. About a month ago we purchased a new case of the variety pate wet cat food, as this was their favorite. The kittens still would try to eat it, but the rest would run away. Some trying to bury it, like cats do.

I have used Friskies canned cat food for many years, both pate and that with gravy. I opened a can of Friskies Shreds Whitefish and Sardines that came in a Fish-a-licious 32 can variety pack yesterday and fed my 4 cats aged 5 mos to 12 yrs. I split one can between them in the mornings. Not a one of them ate the meaty portion just the gravy. And every one of them vomited yesterday, all day. Today the two youngest (That I know of, I've been gone the day) are still vomiting. From the reviews of Friskies canned foods, I made the decision to stop buying Friskies altogether. My cats are on Taste of the Wild dry and today I drove 35 mi. to Tractor Supply to get them some TOTW canned and some 4 Health canned which is Tractor Supply brand. I will never feed my cats Friskies ever again. They are INDOOR cats and have not gotten into anything outside. I control their food.

I have been a cat owner for 30 years. I have fed them Friskies all these years. I have 7 indoor cats now and 1 outside cat. My cats will NOT eat the canned food anymore. Their stools are runny with some blood or dry as rocks! The outside cat will NOT eat it at all. At one time, years ago, I had 15 house cats. NO problems at all with food. Now, as others have stated, they just lick the gravy. I have found dark pieces of whatever is getting into the canning process. I kept some of these pieces. When they dry out they are hard and brown.

I'm amazed at how many people are experiencing the same problem I'm having with cats. I have been buying Friskies Pate for years. My cats have refused to eat it on several occasions but in the last couple of months they absolutely won't touch it. I buy 4 - 48 count boxes every 5 days for my own indoor, fosters and outside neighborhood cats. I have also gotten many dented cans in the middle of the box and popped lids with no damage on the outside. And one box was crawling with hundreds of baby roaches and eggs. It was disgusting! At times the food does look like its bad and shriveled around the edges. Some of my cats have thrown up the food and one has been losing weight.

After feeding my two cats Purina Friskies canned cat food, my two dogs ate what was left in the cats' bowls and shortly after all four of my pets became severely sick! What started off as diarrhea quickly progressed into vomiting and nonstop bloody diarrhea. Our senior dog, Winter, became the most severe and we almost lost her. Thankfully we live close to the vet's office and they were able to stabilize her and get her hydrated since she had lost so much fluid. Our kitten, Sugar, also required hospitalization to get fluids as well. Our other two pets were thankfully able to recover more quickly with medication provided by our vet.

Friskies Pate Poultry Favorites. Bought 32 can pkg home and just made the connection that around the same time opening it, my 17 yo cat has had nothing but bowel movements the consistency of a milkshake!

My cats have been eating the Friskies pate for over a year. I just bought a new box of the variety pack and one of my cats was vomiting severely yesterday. There was blood in her bile and I took her to the vet. They put her on a ton of meds and she is doing better. Now my second cat is vomiting with blood in her bile and I plan on taking her to the vet tomorrow. The only change in their environment is a new box of food and after reading all the complaints I believe that is what has caused them harm.

My cat was eating Friskies Pate wet food and is now actively ill. I bought a case of this food in Jan '18. Realized it was the food when my dog who always eats her food became violently ill. Don't buy this product!

After reading on these reviews now I know it's been the Friskies wet cat food. I always gave especially my black cat Friskies with cheese and bacon concoctions she loves all the time and gave her the beef gravy and just five weeks ago she started throwing up in the early mornings every day for 4 days. Then she quit eating and drinking and she was very lethargic. Could not move and in pain so I took her to the vet. They did take blood, urine and stools and the next day nothing they could find except a lot of protein in her urine. Plus she had a high fever so they gave her a shot that was a bag of water in her so she would not get dehydrated. She did start eating a little with Fancy Feast food. A little bit of water and did not have a bowel movement for 1 week and then she started getting better again and now I only feed her Fancy Feast.

I was alerted to a problem with the pate food of all types we feed to outside cats. Normally I would not be checking food for anything before putting in bowl... however when I did I found multiple black plastic fragments in various types of pate food. This has been reported to Purina, Chewy's (where I purchased) and my vet. Purina has been notified but no real response from them. They wanted the fragment but I had thrown it out. Now however I have a collection of these fragments from multiple cans and I am actively searching for a safer food. Purina needs to get its act together. I lost three cats last year and now I don't know if the food contributed. I also used Fancy Feast and Elegant Medley types... not anymore.

I had fed Friskies canned food to my cats for many years, but had to stop buying it a few months ago. Last summer (June-July 2017), two of my cats began refusing to eat their Friskies canned food, no matter which flavor I served them. They even ran away from the food, even though they were hungry. My other cat, however, still enjoyed Friskies canned food, but I had to stop serving it to him as well, because he vomited twice in one week after eating the seafood flavors (he had never vomited before).

Have been feeding Friskies canned food to my cats for many years. They love certain flavors on certain days, hate it other days... they are CATS. That is normal cat behavior. Have seen no problems with my recent purchases of Friskies... with 4 cats, I get it frequently. One reviewer talked of bad food in a dented, opened can... That would be true of any food, for cats or humans. Will keep my eyes open, but as a veterinarian at a Feline Only practice... I have seen no problems with Friskies canned cat food. Purina is a very reputable company that has been in the business for many years. THEY HAVE SPENT MILLIONS OF DOLLARS ON RESEARCH (PET FRIENDLY) AND HAVE VERY LOYAL SUPPLIERS. I have much respect for Purina, but, as said, will keep my eyes open.

We've fed our cats Friskies canned food for years. In the last couple of months, they no longer will eat any flavor and occasionally vomit what they do eat. Our older cat seems to be constipated and now hates the Friskies food. A friend in a different city said she is experiencing the same thing with her cats, who now only lick the gravy and have vomiting fits when they do eat it. Looking online, there are many reports of the same thing happening; in some instances, the cats have become very ill with contaminants or parasites after eating the Friskies brand! We will abandon the use of Friskies, as it may actually harm our cats! Purina has to know this is happening, as the adverse reports are overwhelming in volume. I intend to write them about this problem, but I doubt they'd admit to any issues due to potential liability; if you use Friskies, I'd advise finding another brand to avoid harming your pet!

Friskies has some explaining to do. My cats are clearly avoiding this food. They've been eating Friskies for a long time and suddenly in January they both started throwing up and they're completely uninterested in eating it now. My cat Magnus goes CRAZY for wet food normally and even he won't eat it. What is the deal?? Should I be concerned? These are my babies and I'm going to be very unhappy if I hear they've been ingesting anything dangerous.

I have been feeding my fur baby Purina Friskies since she was able to start weening from her mother. She has been eating the wet cat food for a year now. On February 24, 2018 I purchased her usual 12 can pack. She tasted it and that was it. She absolutely refuses to eat it! Normally she'd lick the bowl clean! She always excited for breakfast and dinner! Not now! She has been feeling under the weather a little since the first tasting on February 24, 2018. My fur baby is in perfect health! I do not like this, I don't like how she feels now as if she's sort of sickly.

I regularly fed my cat the Friskies pate for almost 2 years, all kinds, since she likes variety. But last November I found the contents were moldy, and no the cans were not dented and the expiration date was always 2019. The one photographed here is only one I discovered of many. Upon alerting Friskies I was refunded the piddly $13 I paid, but it doesn't cover the vet costs when she got ill before I found out it was the food that caused the illness. Not every can was riddled with mold so obviously. Other ones had tinges you might miss if you aren't looking closely.

I've been feeding my cats Friskies Paté canned food for years, but with the last batch I bought 1 week ago, they will not eat any of the flavors. One cat avoided eating the entire day, but still acted hungry. He would not take the food. Later that night a huge pile of puke was on the floor (it actually resembled a runny poop)... But it was as if he barfed up a few days of cat food. (FRISKIES has changed something). Because now all 3 of my cats will not eat the food. I went to the vet and got them a prescribed food (CD-DIET). They eagerly eat that and I put a tablespoon of the Friskies food in the center. They ate around the Friskies food. My big cat, who normally is a hog... Even avoided it... Now. I hope I'm not going to have to take all 3 cats to the vet and there isn't some type of poison in the food. Friskies better fess up on what they changed. Because this is not normal for 3 cats all at the same time to stop eating what they would normally like to consume.

I have feed my cat household Friskies canned food, all different flavors for 20 years. The last case I bought, cats don’t seem to like it, the texture is different, the edges of food in the can are dark brown, and look dried up, 3 of my cats have been diagnosed with acute pancreatitis, it is not a contagious condition. One died. She was much older. The other two have also been diagnosed with tritrichomonas foetus, a serious Protozoa, causing severe bloody diarrhea, and vomiting. They contracted immediately after eating from Friskies canned food, 2 cans. The vet suspected toxoplasmosis from the food also. Very scary. The food is not the same as it used to be and I will no longer be buying it. What is going on with this food?

I'm not sure what has changed in Friskies ingredients, but my cat refuses to eat it now. I also feed many outdoor cats and they're all reluctant to eat it as well. What's up with that? I've been buying Friskies for years and this is a new problem.

I have been feeding Friskies to multiple cats for years, but lately have found problems with the new label cans. The cats are leaving them uneaten! What are they picking up on? I am guessing the addition of unhealthy ingredients. Hopefully Friskies will pay attention to the onslaught of complaints and backtrack to a healthier product.

My cat is 17 and I have always fed her Friskies Wet food and I also have noticed a change. She won't eat. I also tried different flavors and she will only lick the gravy and turns her nose up at the rest of it. I am glad that I found others with the same problem. My cat is also getting very skinny and I assumed that it was age as I haven't had the throwing up.

My two cats have been eating Friskies wet cat food for years and have had no issues but my older cat started to lose lots of weight and I had to put him down because of it. Don't know if the cat food could cause this or not. My other cat started to throw up after eating the shreds cat food and I called Purina and they were nice and sent me a refund but would not acknowledge that there is an issue with their cat food. When I open the cat food most of the times I will notice that the food is different colors. Light and dark in the same cans. How long does Friskies keep in the can. Where do they warehouse them. There are a lot of factors that can cause issues. I am on a fixed income so the larger the quantity of the cat food that I purchase the more I save. But I want a happy healthy cat with me and not one that I have to clean up after he eats the cat food.

I decided to look up the reviews, and I see that Friskies is having a huge issue. I've fed my cats (current and past) Friskies before. Never had a problem. Now? It started when my cat vomited, I left it to his medication since it was something new and he had a UTI two weeks prior. Now? Between last night and this morning, my cat has diarrhea like you would not believe. I will NO longer buy this brand of wet cat food because it is not fair to my 3.6 year old cat that he gets sick off of something that he eats.

Not unlike others writing recent reviews about Friskies canned food, I also have had problems within the past 6-7 months with this product. I have 7 personal cats and feed over 30 ferals daily! I noticed my own cats walking away from the can food and thought perhaps they were getting bored and changed some of the flavors. Still didn't help. Even the feral cats were leaving their can food? Now, my 17 year old cat is extremely ill, having lost 25% of his weight in just a few months. I thought it was old age, but the vet doesn't feel it's associated with age at all.

Done. My cat grew up on Friskies, but at 15 won’t eat it. She licks the gravy but will not eat the shreds, fillets or bits. My two new babies began by eating it eagerly, now they are six months old and now they will only eat the gravy. The smarter consumers get the more they will realize the dry food as well is not good for living beings. With all the GMO grains in them I fear for their health and longevity.

My cat has been eating Friskies dry food for over six years (purple bag, seafood/turf). This week, after opening a brand new (lg) bag, she's been vomiting the food. It's becoming very serious. I haven't the money to take her to a veterinarian. I haven't the money to re-buy food, even if I could find one she can tolerate. I'd like some information from Friskies about the quality of this new purchase since there's clearly something that's changed with their quality or their ingredients, the recipe, or their safety (i.e., lack thereof) of the overall product they're peddling to people's precious pets.

I've been feeding all my cats and strays this food for years and within the last 7wks they won't eat it in any flavor or texture. What is going on PURINA?? I've got so much Friskies wet food. All the dates are still good. What the heck am I gonna do with food that cats won't eat?? And there they don't like other brands I'm trying??? Please fix the PROBLEM WITH THE FOOD.

I feed multiple feral cats and kittens, who usually gobble this food (Friskies Canned Wet Food) right up. Recently, they started eating less and less. A few days ago, the three outside adults stopped eating it altogether, and won't eat anything else, either (even tuna!). I thought maybe they ate a rotten bird or something, but then the kittens (that are kept inside) stopped eating, too. We realized that we opened a new box around the same time they stopped eating, so we thought we got a bad batch. We opened another box, and they barely ate any of that. This evening, two of the kittens vomited within minutes of eating.

Let me add my voice to the choir. I have 11 inside cats. Mostly all rescues. I also feed at least 7 more feral cats. Within the last 2 months all refuses to eat the Friskies cat food. I purchases an average of 50 cases (yes, I said 50 cases, 600 large cans) on the average of every 2 months. Within the last 3-4 weeks all the cats are trying to bury the plates of canned food, refuses to eat the food, and throwing up. After reading the reviews and similar problems all the people are experiencing, I have quit feeding and purchasing the Friskies brand. Purina, it is time to become pro-active. There is a problem, and a lot of cats have been telling their people that they do not like your canned product anymore. I do not know what has changed, but it was not for the better. Cats do not buy your product, people do.

I have feed this product forever. I feed my house cats, barn cats and ferals I care for. I noticed last several months that all cats are refusing to eat it. Since they change in labeling the animals have stopped eating it. WHY! What has changed. What did they do to this product. So many flavors and I throws much of it away. Wasting money. I have become Afraid of this product. When hungry ferals don't eat it there's a problem!!!

My 4 year old cat was dying of kidney failure. I had been feeding her Friskies canned cat food all her life. I had a Vet Asst move in next door to me who told me she sees more cats come in with kidney failure who eat Friskies canned cat food than any other problem by far. My cat was barely eating anything. Turning to skin & bones with diagnosed kidney failure. I took her off Friskies, put her on some RadKat raw organ meat & 9 Lives canned food. She came back to life, kidneys got a little better and she remains in great shape today almost 3 1/2 years later.

Got Ocean Whitefish & Tuna Dinner for the stray cats and they refused to touch it. I gave it to my inside cats as a treat and now all six of them are throwing up. Despite numerous complaints, Purina refuses to acknowledge that there is an issue.

I have fed Friskies Canned Cat food for a very, very long time and have not had problems. Cats like the different flavors (I will only use the Pate - never anything with "gravy") and they did well on it. Recently, in the past 2 months, 3 of my 4 cats have started throwing up just after eating it and are now starting to refuse eating it at all. My 15 & 13 year old cats coat conditions have nosedived & they are both losing weight. I don't know what has changed, but I am changing their wet food immediately!!! The dry I feed is Solid Gold. They are still chowing down on that food and I believe they will improve once they are no longer puking up the wet food. Sorry Friskies - but you have lost a person who has been your customer for the past 30+ years!!!

I'm so disappointed to see the change in the labeling of Friskies Canned Cat Food. It is so difficult now to find the flavors of cat food that my babies like. It all looks the same now. I prefer the different colors so I don't have to search for what I'm looking for. I've used this brand for years. I'm considering changing brands due to this change. This is most inconvenient, and I'm not a happy customer anymore.

For decades been giving my cats Friskies canned food. This year, they changed most of their labeling to generic level so that instead of recognizing a flavor you want, now have to read dozens of labels to find what you hope is the same flavor. Not working at all. Looking for other brands that make getting the right flavors easy. Friskies blew it!

Had an open can of food in my counter for about 6 hours went to feed my cat and took off the plastic lid. It was covered in mold!!! Lots of big fluffy mold liked it was months old. So I feed him another can thinking it was a crazy fluke. My cat's been vomiting for 3 hours. Now he's resting but won't leave my side.

I have multiple cats. I fed Friskies dried food for years. Everything seemed fine. Suddenly my cats started becoming obviously ill. They began gaining weight, lethargy, bladder infections, gum disease. My Himalayan died at the age of 10 from heart failure. He was always healthy and suddenly he got sick and died. I didn't blame the food until my vet asked what I feed my cats. When I told her Friskies she said that the food had little nutrients and way too much sodium. Very little actual protein. She told me my poor Kitty's heart gave out and sodium exasperated his condition. He passed before his prime and I was devastated. Thinking it was a fluke. Just poor Boo couldn't handle the food I didn't switch. Then my other cat developed stomatitis. The vet said this is also due to the bad food Friskies. My other cat began getting recurring UTI. Again the brand of food to blame.

My cat likes Friskies Seafood Sensations dry cat food. When I first got the cat, she wouldn't eat much of anything. I tried wet cat food and healthy dry cat food from Petco. It wasn't until I gave her some Friskies dry food that she actually dug in enthusiastically. I was so glad to find something she seemed to really enjoy! I've since learned that dry cat food is not very healthy for cats, that wet food is healthier for their digestive systems. This upset me because I wanted her to feel satisfied and enjoy her meals. I've learned that if you feed your cat dry food, you should encourage her to drink water.

Fed our three cats the Friskies cat treats and now all three won't eat their food. All three were healthy happy cats and now they cry all day for 'kitty crack' ( Friskies cat treats). Took them off and will not buy ever again. The GMO corn and glyphosate is killing cats. Hopefully our cats will recover on quality treats made without the poison. Warning: do not feed your cats Friskies cat food or treats. It is just another company that doesn't care if your cat dies. They want to get your cat addicted so you will 'have' to buy more. What a scam. Just like soda - addictive and changes behaviour and can kill!!

Quality of wet food has gone down - I live in a multi-cat home plus feed outside cats, have never had a problem with Friskies for nearly 20 years... until the last few months. My cats, even the outside cats, only pick at the food, the local possum doesn't seem to mind the change, but I'm tired of feeding him all the leftovers. I agree with previous unhappy Friskie server... the quality in the canned food has gone down and no longer appeals to my cats. The shredded stuff isn't really anything but filler. I'm looking for an alternative.

My cat ate the Salmon and came close to death. Vomited 4-6 times. She didn't move for 3 days. Wouldn't eat, wouldn't drink. Unfortunately this happened over the weekend. Found a vet who would see her on short notice today (Monday). Still waiting for blood test results - but I'm almost certain she had food poisoning from the Salmon. When I cleaned up the vomit, I found 2 large hard leathery pieces of God knows what. Wish I knew someone who analyzes the content of these cans. I have been wanting to stop buying this food for a while now - this pushed me over the edge... No more canned Friskies. Read the book "Dead Pets Don't Lie" - quite an alarming eye-opener...

We have 4 (four) cats, some get dry FRISKIES, some get wet FRISKIES. I've bought it for YEARS, as long as I have had cats, it's always the best. The problem: At the same time that Friskies changed their LABEL, the quality of the food went WAY DOWN. IT'S watery and runny and unappetizing to my kitties. What did you and why did you change? DON'T EVEN TRY to tell me 'nothing' has changed! NOT going to buy anymore. Really sad you screwed up and made my life a little more difficult. Bring back the firm & tasty 'older' food?? I thank you! Cats thank you. Now I'm going to flnd a new canned food.

My 18 yr. old cat is very finicky Friskies, and Friskies has a variety of flavors & blends that suit all his day to day moods! He doesn't have many teeth and the pate is perfect for easy eating. Friskies has the best nutritional value compared with the other brands.Overall, Friskies provides my finicky feline with quality, as well as healthy and a variety of tasty canned cat food!

Have used Friskies for 30 years and my cats have always liked it and have lived long lives (indoors). Sometimes tried another brand, but changing always gave at least one cat diarrhea, so years ago I gave up ever trying anything different. Why should I? My cats thrive on Friskies and my vet said it's fine.

Friskies is not the best quality on the market, but not the worst. I have a multi-cat household so cost is a consideration, unfortunately. Purina is owned by a huge corporation, Mars, Inc.. I really dislike supporting a big conglomerate, but my cats refuse to eat the better quality brands. They do eat high quality kibble not made by Purina or Mars (Royal Canin).

We use Friskies canned food varieties plus Temptations cat treats as our only dry food. (Very expensive but these 3 cats are spoiled rotten.) One cat is 21 years old and whatever we've been doing seems to keep the 21-year-old and 19-yr-old healthy.

My cats love Friskies cat food, both dry crunchy (seafood medley) and wet (almost all have been tried). And Friskies party MIX treats must be stocked in house at all times otherwise my cat starts knocking things over until she gets them.

One of my go to brands is the Purina Friskies 7 dry cat food. I have three cats, all have different pallets. This dry food fits the bill on all three cats. It has 7 ingredients: chicken, beef, turkey, salmon, tuna, shrimp and cheese! All the flavors are there and keep my cats coming back for more. It is a great choice as my cats are all indoors and this is good for their muscles, vision, immune system and skin and coat. This brand is priced really well and sometimes will give you an extra amount in the bag for the great price of $3.87! I Love getting this brand, knowing my cats call for it in the mornings and night!

On a average day I use 6 cans of cat food to feed the stray cats in my neighborhood and I also have 2 of my own cats. I use Purina Friskies all the time for wet food. I have tried many other brands and found they always liked the Friskies the best. The food is very juicy if using Fillets or Shreds and my strays like the Juicy. Sometimes I give them the Pate for a change but they clean up the plate regardless. The cans are easy to open and they have so many varieties and I always wash the cans and recycle them. I feed the wet food 2 times a day and also offer dry food all day!! I watch for coupons and cat food sales and find that the Purina brand goes on sale and I buy extra to stock up sometimes 24 dozen.

Lots: #63241161-L2446-0814 and #63201161-L2456-1254 and #63331161-L1900-1423. Happening at the factory where the boxes are packed. 3 different times and months apart, I have opened a box at home to find 3 or 4 cans that were crumpled/dented around the pull tab edges (risking botulism contamination). The 1st time -> I found visible contamination that was growing in a dented can. The 3rd time -> I noticed that each DENTED can was in the MIDDLE of PERFECT cans. Sooo it happened before the box was packaged and shipped. How many times are the stores being blamed when Friskies is risking the lives of our cats? See pictures for packaging details.

My cat loves it. I have a slightly hard time finding it in the occupied Palestinian territories, but it is worth the effort looking for it. I only recently switched to it and am happy also because my cat does not have smelly stools. I recommend it highly.

I have been feeding my cats Friskies (canned) for many years. Each cat has had his/her favorite flavor. The price is great, and I think that although it's important for cats to eat hard food, it's also important they have a good quality wet food to give them added nutrients and moisture to their diet. And Friskies fits the bill!

Cats (have several at any one time) prefer Purina cat foods over 9Lives brand. I also prefer the Purina Friskies foods - smell a little better (for cat food!), looks more like "food".

I like the price and my cats (4) absolutely love it. Sometimes I would swear that they can read, for when I bring the bag of Friskies home, they get very excited and nearly go crazy. They love the different flavors (I buy one flavor one time then another the next time). I find that they will refuse to eat any other kind. The price is affordable and the food is readily available at all the local stores. My cats seem to thrive on it, all their coats are shiny and healthy. They are all very active and playful. I would recommend this cat food to anyone. It's a great deal and good for the cats, (and they love it!).

My 11 cats have been eating Friskies all their lives. All of a sudden, the last three times I have purchased it, they turn up their noses. I first thought maybe it was the "batches". The first batch came from WalMart. No. The second batch came from Pet Supply. No. The third batch came from Food Lion. No. So was the formula changed? What's going on. I have one formerly healthy cat that is now sick. Won't eat. Very lethargic. Going to the vet today. The others seem OK? Now I've read all the pans about Purina, I don't believe I'll be buying anymore of their products. I'm not sure that any cat food products are all that... but I don't know how I can prepare food for all them. I very much appreciated all the comments. At least I now know what to expect.

My husband and I have always had cats. Currently we are down to 3, Milo - a Maine Coon who is 32 pounds, Samson - a Maine Coon and Tabby mix, and Mokie - a Bombay who is 14 years old. The only brand and variety of dry cat food that Milo and Samson will eat is Friskies Seafood Sensations. We have tried much more expensive brands and Samson will go hungry for days rather than eat it. It keeps them healthy and happy so I am glad to buy it for him. Mokie loves it too but over the last couple of months I have noticed that he is less and less interested in dry cat food. I usually give the cats a can of cat food every few days to help with hairballs, but Mokie even did not like most of the canned food. I finally tried Everpet which is the Dollar General brand of cat food in pouches and Mokie will eat two at a time. I am so glad I found a brand that he will eat, it is distressing when an older cat begins to refuse food. Mokie is the first pet my husband and I got together and has a special place in our hearts because of it.

Friskies pleases even the most finicky cats. My cats refuse to touch 9 lives and many other "name" brand cat foods. The only cat food they will eat is Friskies but they do not like the new "saucesations".

My kitties are very spoiled and will only eat Friskies. My sister-in-law's cats will only eat Fancy Feast. SPOILED ROTTEN KITTIES. The kitties are very specific in what they want and enjoy. I really had no idea that kitties can be that spoiled and that their taste buds could be that sensitive. Our vet suggested Science Diet, but again they turned up their noses. I had not an inkling that kitties could/can be such pains. When I was growing up for a cat to receive "wet food" was a treat and not a food that the kitty demanded.

The Friskies was loaded with foreign substances. There were pieces of greenish black particles all through it. I found those particles in several cans of different flavors. I no longer feed my cats Friskies.

I've found that while Purina Cat Chow is good and kitties like it okay. The less expensive Friskies seems to hold their interest longer. They seem to actually LIKE the Friskies, while the Purina is just something to put in their stomachs out of hunger.
