I had 3 orders shipped and they all went to the wrong address!!! It was the first order address which was daughter's Christmas present. So everything I ordered since automatically went there. I was sure of this last order because I had to reorder what had been shipped to Vegas since it was too much for my daughter to ship it to me. What is wrong with this place????

I used a coupon code to purchase an item on Wayfair.com, my order was placed and I paid. A week later I found a credit in my PayPal (no notification from Wayfair at all) refunding my money. I have attempted via phone to get the issue resolved, by email, and lastly by the BBB. Basically Wayfair sent me emails admitting they made a mistake and they had to cancel my order. I know if I would have made an order and wanted to renege on the deal that I would have to pay some fee for the cancellation or whatnot.
I do have all emails and correspondence with Wayfair.com that is involved in this dispute. I just want to make sure other patrons know how their business practices are and if they feel they make a mistake, it's you who loses out, and in my case, it was without any type of notification. I don't know my order number because they completely deleted my order after placing it. I do however have the PayPal notifications of when I paid, and when the order was refunded and canceled.

I purchased a side table from Wayfair. I noticed the price of this particular table changed three or four times in the same week. I figured it was some strange sales technique, so I waited for what I thought was the lowest price. I ordered the table, and it came damaged in multiple places. I contacted Wayfair, and they did replace it at no cost assuring me that it is VERY rare that an item ships out to customers damaged. I chalked it up to bad luck. I went online with my receipt to review the product and I waited... and waited, and my review was never posted. A week later, the second side table arrived DAMAGED. I contacted customer service again, and they offered to ship another one out to which I declined and asked for a refund to which they complied. I also noticed the price of the table was lower online.
I mentioned to the CS that I posted a review that was never published, and I asked was it company standards that they don't publish negative reviews - only positive ones. The CSR assured me it must have been a glitch in the system, and I should try submitting another review. He said he would "escalate" my complaint. Well, I submitted a second, even a third review and here it is three wks later, and it's still not viewable. Very misleading to the public.

I purchased about $800 worth of art and decorative items. There was a promo free shipping for 30 days that's nice. Then the 7 boxes arrived. The first four I opened one after another were chipped, a wreath shredded, a crack in wood. The width of a 17" wide wood horse and a 19" high "all metal" Rex the dino. I wrote right away and got as many different people as I did boxes. This is what I asked for. They pay the rtn shipping cost on the defective items and I would pay for boxes I just stopped opening. Simple right? How wrong I was.
This was my first purchase. People don't shop with either company name. If you converse in emails they go in and not only have a program running so you can't print your info, they go back in and remove what they wrote. Called me a liar - really? - and demanded photos. I asked for them to mail me a hard copy and I was told they don't do that and even better they have no stationery with their logo. I've spent 2 months trying to get the defective shipping and then they told me to just take over $600 dollars in product and "toss it". My refund is being typed up but only after I said I've had enough and was going to contact the attorney general, DA's office and the local news station.
This is an online scam. My "metal" Rex the dino cost a lot and it had to be put together and a plastic leg broke in half. Ordered a lamp. The photo showed a metal office desk style shade. I got frilly sheer material on a modern style lamp. I tried to look it up by the sku # you blocked and can't get the description either. They can. I learned in a oops moment by the rep but they won't pass it on. This is online upcharging on rtn shipping but I kept my UPS receipt. They would try and add a dollar. It's a lovely site but you won't get a match to what you ordered! I ordered a canvas print for Valentines Day. Gold metallic lips on black canvas. I got brown lips on black. "Didn't I know professional studio shoots can make the color look different?" They need to drag their bs into court. Please write the attorney general and the local DA office. Think of the amount of money taken from you!!

I ordered a futon from Wayfair on the 8th of March and it said it would ship out three days later. It took forever to get here. I checked the tracking number on Friday the 13th and it said the same location in the Irving Warehouse from the 13th until the 19th. I had to call a girl who called someone at the warehouse and then it was shipped to the Flower Mound terminal on Friday. So, what was the reason for it being in the same terminal for 7 days?? No reason given, just backed up with orders. Then I was told I would get it Friday since it was in Flower Mound and then told Monday and lastly told Tuesday, today but I would get a courtesy phone call. I did not get one and left the very heavy furniture box outside my door! I cannot carry this in and nobody is here to help me. Very dissatisfied and will not order again!

I purchased a king size bed to go in my guest room on the 2nd floor of my home. Zenith Home Delivery DFW showed up with one person; they assumed it would be installed on the first floor. He couldn't take the bed upstairs to install (too heavy) and remove boxes as I paid for. No one from Zenith would pick up the phone and Wayfair initially (3 times) kept telling me someone would call me back. After I kept calling Wayfair spent another 3 days trying to confirm the service to come back out. I waited an additional 4 days for the service to come back and no one showed up the day of delivery. I called and ** their rep said she would call me back on status. She never did. I called 3 additional times that day and the company use a passive tactic and stopped answering the phone - it went straight to voice mail. I could have paid two guys locally to get this done in a day instead of wasting 10 days trying to get resolution.
I will never order from Wayfair again. Even if the product is good, it won't be delivered correctly with the service they use! The only part of this issue that was resolved was that I was refunded my delivery fees from Wayfair.

Three delays on the shipment of my item. Each time I called and was guaranteed there would not be another delay. Was 3 months before I received it. Very courteousness emails sent through notifying me of the delay as well was rude. When it was delivered, I received an sms saying it was coming (on a different day than the email again) and when I called to try and find a window of delivery, I was informed that was impossible. I was told 8-6!
So I stayed home from work to finally receive it and it came at 4pm. What a waste of a day. They are the only company that lies about the delivery (if you had said in the first place it would’ve been 3 months that would have been fine) and the ONLY company that currently does not give a delivery window. Oh, and the item was covered in factory dust in the box. Disgraceful.

I bought a table runner on January 1st. I paid for it. It's on my CC & bank statements. At time of purchase they promised delivery on Jan 14th. To this day (March 12) they have modified the delivery date 4 or 5 times I lost count!!! They have not apologized about it every time nor alerted me. Only twice, they notified me saying "in view of popularity the item won't be available on time promised"... Which is B.S. If you ask me because they know what their demand & supply are. They should be able to figure out when they will be able to deliver & give me a straightforward answer.
How hard is it to stick to a date? I think it's dishonest & unprofessional. I complained by phone last month & the representative gave me the "This is not the experience wayfair.com wants for you to have with any of our orders" routine. Today I emailed them & got the same intro verbatim, as well as a promise of a 15% discount if I'm willing to wait (indefinitely, as no specific date was given). In my emails I told them I believe they should own up to their side of the bargain. That they represent this seller. That the seller owes it to them to be forthright about the delivery date & that they are looking as unprofessional as the seller from my perspective.
I also added that I do not wish to cancel my order & have invested time & energy waiting & anticipating for this unique product. It's an Art Nouveau table runner produced by a deadbeat US based manufacturer called Lenny & Rose, who could be importing these runners from China or Thailand or Indonesia or Vietnam for all I know & labeling them made in the USA. Why else would they be so unable to control the delivery date???

As a professional design firm working with Wayfair's "Trade" division, we ordered some 20+ pieces of furniture, totaling almost $8000.00 and ALMOST EVERY SINGLE ITEM came in with damage. I would like to point out that it was not freight damage either, but rather concealed damage, only apparent after each and every item was opened. Being that my client’s furniture is being delivered to our professional warehouse, we are charged for the service of them receiving it, inspecting it and then receiving and inspecting any necessary replacements. Wayfair has informed our company that "it is our choice" to have them delivered as such and therefore they are not responsible for any additional charges.
Having been in the business for almost 30 years, I KNOW that most designers do not have their own warehouses and use similar services as we do for receiving/storage/installation. NOW, we are stuck working on the frustrating and time consuming situation of reporting this, getting replacements (and hoping THEY are not damaged) and all the while, having to PAY our warehouse for something I cannot charge my client for (translating to LOSS for us!!!). I highly recommend that you think twice about doing business with Wayfair!

Their website had a set of pictures I was going to order. The ad for the item said free 2 day shipping 16 in stock. I ordered the items on March 1st. On March 6th I checked the status of my order. I was told the item would not ship until March 16. I pointed out the ad and the fact the website said free 2 day shipping and that they had 16 units in stock. I was told and I quote "sorry but it will not ship until the 16th". When I pointed out the ad yet again and asked ** why is it going to ship 2 weeks after the item was ordered. I was asked if there was anything else she could help me with. The order would not ship until the 16th. My reply was "yes, Cancel the order." I placed an order for dining room chairs and spoke to company on 4 different days about the price listed and once I pointed out 4 days later to the company instead of telling the truth about my order they said the chairs were discontinued and not honoring my order. Instead relisted the same discontinued chair hundreds of dollars more. Then the manager asked me that instead of my order I could reorder and trust the company to honor this order because now trust them because instead of a 200.00 they wanted me to spend 5000.00 on the same discontinued chair. Could not honor the original price but now could give me the same chair hundreds more...BAD BUSINESS.

I had been looking for a desk for over a year, and purchased a Seville Square Executive Desk for 499.99 from Wayfair.com on November 30, 2014. I learned on December 2, Wayfair.com cancelled the order without notice. When the desk was not delivered I called Wayfair and they said they posted the wrong price, and cancelled my order. They said it was in the information that I agreed to and they could cancel at any time. It probably was there, I don't deny that, but ethically they should honor their price.. They said, I could get the desk for cost which was greater than 1200 and said I could also get the hutch for cost which was around the same price. So I was going to pay almost 2000 more than I planned to spend. I looked at Consumer Affairs and BBB and stopped at over 20 complaints of the same thing. Wayfair said this rarely happens, I think it is a bait and switch, and is purposeful to get more business.
Obviously I did not get the desk, I missed out on replacing a desk that insurance would pay for. I am concerned about the practice of posting incorrect prices and then trying to up-sell. Most companies if they post a wrong price they honor it, Wayfair tried to sell me more. I think Wayfair should honor their price for the desk they offered incorrectly.

I ordered a living room set from wayfair through walmart.com. I placed the order on Feb. 5 2015. It clearly said in the ad set includes sofa, loveseat, chair & a half and ottoman. The next day I get a confirmation email from wayfair listing only the sofa and loveseat, each priced separately, still totaling more than what I ordered. The original price for all was 1040.18. This totaled 1080.00 something. An immediate call to them resulted in me being told this was an error and the price was only for the sofa and loveseat. That I could still order the additional pieces costing almost 700 more with a 10% discount. And that they could just cancel the order and didn't have to honor it because it stated they could in the disclosures and didn't I see that.
I said "no I didn't see it anywhere but I did see that it clearly stated it was all 4 pieces for that price." Asked for a manager. After another round of talking to a "supervisor" I asked for their supervisor. He said he could refund the charges on my credit card, cancel the original order, make another order adding the chair and a half and ottoman, and then only charge my credit card for the additional two pieces, around $698.00. I said "sure sounds great." He worked on that for a few minutes then came back and said he couldn't cancel the original order, it had been finalized and they were already processing it. Sorry but that he could amend the order to add my two pieces at no additional charge.
Ok sure fine with me. Estimated ship out date Feb. 25th from a later email I received from him. On the 20th I received an email from Walmart stating my order had been cancelled. No explanations to why other than to contact Wayfair to find out. I called the same supervisor and he said he didn't know why but that Walmart would cancel orders if it had been over 30 days and they still weren't shipped out. It had only been 15. He said he would replace the order directly with Wayfair, leave Walmart out of it all together, and that it shouldn't restart the time for them to get it ready because they surely had already built it in 15 days.
So how was it cancelled when he said before it couldn't be? And then to top it all off I get another email on the 24th from Walmart stating the ottoman was cancelled. The supervisor was going to call and let me know the status today. So after receiving the 2nd email I called him and was told he's out sick today but would definitely be back tomorrow and take care of it. We'll see. If I had seen all these bad reviews to begin with I never would have made the order. If I get my furniture as promised for the price promised and in the time promised without having to take legal action I'll be surprised.

Do NOT use this company, spend your money elsewhere. They had no problem taking my money, but never delivered their product. I ordered in mid December, with the understanding that the holiday may take a bit longer than the promised two week delivery. No problem. Then... the delivery was scheduled for ONE MONTH later. Again, ok, it happens. The delivery date comes and goes, no one from the company calls me. Just silence. Another week goes by so I call customer service,"Oh, I'm so sorry sir. But your package was refused delivery from a third party company because of damage to the product." OK, a bit suspicious, but things happen.
So they re-order it for me. Again it will take another month to arrive. A little suspicious. They give me a delivery date on or before February 16th. Of course, the 16th comes and goes, no delivery and no contact from Wayfair. So now I have to call them AGAIN. "I'm sorry sir the product is backordered again... ooops, I mean, it was received damage again." Lovely. They proposed to re-order for me for a third time. No thank you. Instead, I gave Wayfair a loan of $500 interest free. I've asked for a refund. We'll see how long it takes for them to deliver THAT.

I had ordered many times from Wayfair and had been happy with what I ordered, the service and the delivery. I was ordering a headboard for my second home and did not notice that the shipping address reverted back to our home address. I had just ordered pillows from them a week before and had no issues. When the item did not come by the date as noted on the tracking email, I noticed for the first time that the shipping address was incorrect. I immediately contacted Wayfair and they told me that there was nothing they could do about it.
I was on my own from a distance of over 800 miles away to deal with the item that had already been delivered and was probably now sitting in the snow (the item is a padded headboard). I then asked about how to return the item. They were going to charge me almost 50% of the cost of the item for pick up and return. If this is how they treat frequent customers, think about how they will treat you before you buy!!! I have never written a negative review about a company but their service really stinks!!! Beside the very poor quality, one item (a night stand) arrived broken and unfinished. The top drawer was left for customer to be attached, it was broken definitely before packaging because the broken part was in a different place of box. Though they are more expensive than other websites in this category, the merchandise quality and customer service is much worse than others. Then just before the delivery date I received an email telling me it was backordered and wouldn’t be delivered until January 14, then another email setting delivery for January 22. The cabinet arrived on January 22 and the cardboard box was not damaged. When I opened it the cabinet was not the one I ordered although the same color. Both ends of the cabinet were pushed in and the oak plywood was damaged and the center divider was pushed way to the right exposing cheap staples, which wouldn't hold if they wanted to.
I managed to get the center divider pushed back where it belongs so the shelves would fit. I then contacted the company and they said they would exchange it but I would have to pay a $165 restocking fee and get an in-store credit for possible another inferior cabinet. They didn't even clean the sawdust out of the cabinet after drilling component holes in the back. The box it came in was not damaged, which leads me to think it was sent out in this condition. There is no guarantee the next TV stand would be any better and after waiting 6 weeks the first time around, it's a waste of my time. When I placed my online order for a bed at least four times, the website shutdown after I had entered my payment information. Finally it went through. With all the difficulty my order ended up going to my old address - although it got the address for my payment correct. I was then faced with two choices. Pay $300 for the shipping if I cancelled the order or pay an additional $70 dollars for the shipping.
After some bargaining they reduced that to half price. But they did not include my original payment for carrying the bed upstairs into the house. I was then told that if I wanted it carried upstairs into the house I would have to pay another $70. (The option was to leave it outside in the driveway.) Again, I bargained and they agreed to do it for $30 to which I agreed (being a single female senior citizen).
Next thing you know I get an additional bill for $70. I have now spent over $1000 and more than four hours (mostly on hold). I called them, but they told me that I should cancel this item and order new one again, they can't change the size. I cancelled it, but didn't order new, cause I thought it would be better to receive money first before pay again. Ok, my status was indicated "pending cancellation". It has been pending for THREE DAYS! Three! And then (I think these three days they did everything for making that order), I received a message to my mail, that "they are not able to cancel it, because it already shipped". Seriously? Of course it shipped, cause it has been for three days in pending cancellation.
I was so angry, I called them, a representative promised me to return that item, and I would receive money back in 3-5 business days. I called on 5th day, and next representative told me, that the first girl had forgotten to confirm returning. And I have to wait more 3-5 business days. OMG. I think it's not the best shop. I never ever buy anything on this horrible site. I don't know what to do now. I will wait for couple days, but on the start of the next week I will make a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. I ordered a comforter set from Wayfair. It was supposed to come with white sheets. It came with very dark beige sheets that clash with the pink and black color scheme. Their customer service keeps asking for information from me that is irrelevant. They want a model number that is not on any of the pieces nor paperwork. They offered me a $10 credit for the mistake which will not even cover one new sheet let alone a sheet set. I am furious and tired of going back and forth with these people. I think that is what they are counting on. The image attached is from the Wayfair website that shows the white sheets. The other photo is a picture of the actual sheets I was sent, still in the original packaging, waiting for Wayfair to do the right thing. (I won't hold my breath.)

We ordered a vanity as a Christmas present for our daughter and chose Wayfair because of a combination of competitive price and - most of all - the fact that it stated that we would be delivered before Christmas, which was their big selling point at the time (delivery by 12/23, they said, subsequently altered to 12/24 but still OK). Just before Christmas we got an email saying that they were actually out of stock and we would now be delivered on 1/2/15. Just before 1/2/15 we get another email stating that there was another hitch and now it would be delivered on 1/8. And I just got another email stating that delivery will now be on 1/15/15... I don't believe it any more. I truly regret doing business with this company. Most companies have a system on their website that tracks availability and can tell you if an item is out of stock. When that is the case they say so. Not Wayfair apparently. They take your money, promise a date and then send a series of cheerful emails pushing delivery further and further back. In the meantime we have a child with no main Christmas present received 2 weeks after Christmas. I will never work with this company again. I feel thoroughly ripped off and taken for a fool.

I placed an order for a Wok that goes with Weber gas grills. I searched Google to find the best price in stock with free shipping. I ordered the item from Wayfair. About a week later I'm expecting for it to arrive and look at my order email and it says it will take over a month to arrive. I cancelled the order and complained to them only to get a rude sarcastic email back almost immediately by John ** - "You seem to be confused. You ordered a special order item. The page you ordered from, as well as several spots during the checkout process, indicated the shipping times. Also, your cancellation email indicates 3-5 business days for a refund. Not 2-4 weeks. That is the time frame for those who pay by check, which you did not. I suggest reading all information provided when placing orders and reading emails more carefully to prevent any unnecessary frustration and confusion."

We ordered a coffee table set (coffee table and two end tables). Free shipping means your order will sit in a warehouse in North Carolina for a month until the freight company has another order to your area. This is what they don't tell you! When I called customer service (twice), they explained it was in the hands of a contracted vendor and they did not know why there was a delay. The set was ordered December 1, 2014 and today is January 1, 2015, and still no tables. Unless you're ordering something that can be shipped via UPS or FedEx, don't bother unless you have a couple of months to wait.

I ordered pillows from them online for an additional $24 to expedite my order so I could receive it for Christmas. After placing the order I was informed that I would probably not receive it until after the holiday. The very next day I decided to use their option to cancel my order. Right after I cancelled the order, my account said the cancellation was being processed. I even chatted with a Customer service Rep. to confirm my cancellation was in fact being processed. I was assured that it will be finalized no later than Monday. First thing Monday morning I called to confirm my order was in fact cancelled. I was then told it was possible my cancellation would not be seen by the warehouse. The Representative called the warehouse to make sure my request was put through. No one answered the phone and she had to leave a message. Approximately an hour later I received an email from Wayfair which stated they could not cancel my order with no further explanation. I called and spoke to another Customer Rep. who could not give me a clear explanation either. He had no idea why they did not honor my order cancellation since it was clearly noted by the other Representatives on the order that it should be cancelled ASAP!
He called to speak with the person whom he said had the authority to cancel my order but was told the person was in a meeting. At this point I realized I was clearly getting the run around and they had no intention at the outset to cancel my order. This is definitely a questionable business practice to give customers the false belief that they can cancel an order in a timely manner and then not honor it. Caveat emptor. "Let the buyer beware"!

I placed an order a few months ago for a rug. I received an email saying it had been shipped but the tracking number did not appear. I called numerous times and they assured me it would ship the next day. Fast forward a month and I still had not received the item. Finally the specialist assured me I would get it the next day. The next day I found that they had shipped me the wrong rug. The rug they shipped me was 7' x 9' and weighed like 100 lbs. I notified them of their error and was told that I had to wait 3 weeks to see if Wayfair wanted it back and if they didn't want it back to donate it and in the meantime they ordered me a replacement for the rug I did purchase. A week goes by and I get an email saying the rug I purchased is out of stock and I will get a refund in 3-5 days.
Fast forward again to when the 3-week window for them to contact me has passed and I have had a huge rug in the middle of my small living room for 3 weeks that I have to hire somebody to come and take to a donation center. I call again to see where my refund is and they tell me that it didn't go through and it will be another 3-5 days.
Fast forward another 5 days and I called and emailed and was told again, "oh, the last one didn't go through so it will be another 3-5 days". At this point it has been 2 months from my original purchase. I have been very patient up until now, but I just had a call with my customer service rep that pushed my buttons. He told me if I had been working with him the whole time like I was supposed to then I would have my refund by now. Please note that this is the man I have been leaving messages for and emailing and he has not responded to me once. The only way to get a hold of him is to call the main customer service line and be transferred to him. If he is not available, they put me through to somebody else on his team.
The other reason his comments made me mad is because every time I had talked to him he assured me he was personally looking into my issue and would follow up with me. If he had followed up with me even once over the past month he would have known that this has not been resolved. I do not appreciate that after the hassle this has been, to be told by customer service that it is my fault.
It is not my fault they shipped me the wrong item, it is not my fault they keep telling me my refund is 3-5 days away, and it is not my fault I have to keep calling them to tell them the issue is not resolved. I will unfortunately never purchase from them again. I do like the items they have on their site, but nothing is worth this hassle. If they were smart they would have gotten this issue resolved immediately because I would have taken my refund and purchased another rug from them AND continued to purchase from them going forward.

I recently wrote a complaint about an outdoor Topiary purchased from Wayfair and that the Company did not offer to replace or refund my Money. Well we were contacted and offered a replacement or refund of the purchase price. In the end Wayfair did the right thing. Happy with the end result.

I bought a outdoor spiral Topiary about 1 Year ago. I had it on a covered Patio and it was never moved or touched, I just went to put a Bow on it for Christmas and all the Leaves started falling off. This is advertised as outdoor and I paid about $300 for it because it is an outdoor Topiary, but obviously it is not or this one is defective. The leaves are dry and brittle. If you just touch it, the Leaves break off. Wayfair won't replace or refund my Money. Shame on Wayfair for faulty advertisement. When I spoke to them about this they said they spoke to the supplier and they said it is a outdoor Topiary. And if there is anything else they can help me with? WHAT, they said they were sorry that happened but won't do anything about it.

I've placed an order for a return item (bedroom set). They have charged my credit card for the full amount. I kept checking the status of my order and called them 2 times on the same week, with no luck on the current status of my order. 1 week later, I called again and asked for an update on the status of my shipment. After putting me on a long hold, they asked to refund me the money as the product’s no longer available. It seems they sell to more buyers than what they actually have in stock, that way they collect cash from customers, and make sure if the first buyer changes his/her mind they would have a backup buyer. I've made arrangements based on this purchase and based on their confirmation email and confirmation over the first 2 phone calls that my order should be arriving on time.
I've spent more than $500 on a mattress fitting the size of this bed and I do not want or have the budget to spend more than what I paid for this set. On the other hand, I've already lost couple of other local deals, they should have removed this item from their website once it was not available. That way I could have bought the local deals instead. Now I am left with the mattress alone, and if I am to buy similar bedroom set I will have to pay at least 2-3 time of the price as I cannot find a returned item anywhere else.

DO NOT ORDER FROM WAYFAIR! Do not let their ridiculously catchy commercial jingles fool you. I just had the worst online shopping experience ever, which was then only worsened by finding this site during my investigation. I found an item to purchase on the Wayfair website. You are not able to check-out as a guest, you must create an account. I did. I then followed all the check-out steps, including entering my shipping/billing address, credit card details, etc.
I clicked the final button to finish my order and a pop-up box appeared, reading very closely along the lines of, "Please do not refresh your browser. We are processing your order. This may take up to one minute." The box disappeared a few minutes later and I was redirected to the main website. It was interesting to me that I was not shown an order confirmation page. I checked my email and there was nothing. I checked the orders tab of my account and it told me that I have not placed an order within the last six months. I found the website tagged herein and got a poor feeling in my gut. I logged into my credit card account and discovered that, sure enough, there was a pending transaction to Wayfair for the amount of my order.
I called Wayfair customer service and spoke with a representative too who pulled up my account and guaranteed me that there was not an order placed with my account. She even told me that this has been an issue with their system the last two days in that some orders are not going through. I made her aware of my concern and disappointment that I had entered my credit card information, personal information, and have a pending transaction on my credit card for an order that is not valid. The rep again guaranteed me that my card would not be charged without an order present and suggested that I reorder.
I then called my credit card company to verify the charge and receive an authorization code so that I could call Wayfair back and speak with a manager. When my second call to Wayfair was answered by another representative, I explained the situation and mentioned that I was going to need to speak with a manager if she was not able to assist me any more than the last rep did. After pulling up my account information again, the rep told me that she did see my order and confirmed the details. At the same time, I went back to the same tab in my account and found that my order was now there.
First off, I was quite upset, disappointed, and very nervous that my credit card seemed to have been charged immediately and that I had no order confirmation, in fact, the opposite, in that Wayfair told me I had not placed an order. It took over 10 minutes from the time of my purchase for my account to reflect that I had made a purchase. I have yet to receive an email confirmation and I do not believe that I will. I am irate at the fact that this lag in their system does not even allow my order to be visible to their own customer service reps and that the rep I spoke with guaranteed me that my order did not go through, that my credit card would not be charged for the false order, and suggested that I place my order again. Trust and believe I will never order from Wayfair again.

Then the run around started. The shipping number on the box didn't match their number. So this took several more attempts/phone calls. During this circle jerk, they asked me why I wanted to return it. Told them it didn't match the image they had on their website. They didn't agree, but offered to refund me less the shipping/handling charges. Like it was my fault. After escalating this to mgr level and getting the same bs, told them to stick it. I requested a return and received a return ship label with some bs starting out with "Not quite what you expected? We'll take it off your hands." Why could they have not replied along the lines of "We are sorry we shipped out the wrong item and the item ordered is being shipped immediately and in the meantime we enclose a prepaid shipping label for its return and are also giving you a 10% discount." It costs me 16 miles and time to return their "mistake".
Under these circumstances there is no way I would ever deal with Wayfair again and certainly not to try reordering just to run the risk of going through the same kind of thing again! Their response says it all about their attitude towards the customer as it is almost inferring it was my fault because I did not like the color or size, or shine or lack thereof. No - it's the wrong item period! Fortunately I paid with American Express, so if I do not get a full refund I shall put it into dispute. I ordered a duvet ensemble from Wayfair based on their website image and description of the duvet set. The ensemble included a duvet cover, two matching shams and two decorator pillows. The decorator pillows and the reverse side of the duvet are NOTHING similar to what's pictured in the image Wayfair shows on their website...... Rather than widely spaced vertical turquoise and brown vertical stripes for one of the pillows and for the reverse side of the duvet, Wayfair delivered a duvet with the reverse side having very faint charcoal lines and possibly blue or lilac lines (the secondary color is very faint and I couldn't tell what it was) and a decorator pillow with the same faint lines rather than bold turquoise and brown vertical stripes. The website also shows a secondary decorator fawn colored pillow, but Wayfair delivered one that is bright turquoise with purple piping and the turquoise color in the pillow isn't a match to the turquoise color in the duvet. The website image for the background color is also inaccurate - the website shows an off-white color and what got delivered is a duvet with a very bright white background color.
I also ordered two sets of sheets that were intended to match the duvet - one set was "aqua" (which the website showed as a turquoise that was a match to the turquoise color in the duvet) and a fawn colored set (again, a match to the fawn color in the duvet). The "aqua" sheets were actually light baby blue and the fawn sheets were more gold than fawn. When I e-mailed my concerns, the response for the first e-mail was somewhat consumer-friendly and asked for the photos I said I had as well as requested for me to send them their own model numbers (which I thought was pretty odd considering they should have had this info from my order number). I sent the photos and got a reply back that essentially said they agreed that the baby blue colored sheets didn't match the aqua color sheets they advertised, however, I received confirmation today that Wayfair is still charging me return postage costs for all items.
Wayfair did offer to discount the order by 10% for the decorator pillows not matching their website, but they apparently look at each item in the set as a separate item and apparently feel that if one side of the duvet was close enough to the image in their website, that's good enough for them. There's also a disagreement between what "fawn" looks like and what "gold" looks like, so even if the "fawn" colored sheet set isn't the same color as the color in the website, if it's even a little bit close that's good enough for Wayfair to hold the consumer responsible for their error. I am amazed that a consumer would have to defend returning an order that a company got wrong and beyond amazed that this same company would require a consumer to pay return postage for something the retailer clearly made an error with.

I called their C/S department and was told matter of factly, if not rudely that the code was not meant for ME and therefore not being honored. Instead I was offered a 10% discount on my next order. REALLY! Do they really think that I will be doing business with them again? All emails to their C/S department have been ignored, not responded to.

I ordered on Sept 23 to arrive Sept 25 (my dad's birthday). I received no email confirmation. Was given no tracking information. I went to website to determine shipping status. I used my order# then had to find the SKU# then had to add all sorts of order information and it took me to the same status page that stated it was due to arrive Sept 24. It never arrived. I called. My order had been flagged because the shipping address was different than my billing address. Really? Ordering over the web is often sent from the purchaser to the receiver i.e. GIFT. I only discovered the hold on my order when I called them. UUUUGGGGHHHH!!! I cancelled and reordered from another seller.

I wrote them and they said they were never on sale. When I sent a copy of My initial letter and the date......... they wrote and said will not honor price. They do not honor their sales prices or their word about fixing a problem. They want Me to pay almost $700 for chairs I ordered days before for $43. (includes tax). Ordered a dresser online from Wayfair on 8/9. Dresser was shipped from warehouse to consolidation agent on 8/13 in North Carolina (we were watching the tracking info). Then shipped from consolidation agent in NC to delivery agent in West Virginia on 8/15. Arrived at delivery agent on 8/26. We received an email on 8/27 letting us know that the dresser is in WV and an email will follow within 1 business day of delivery date. Also the email listed the local delivery agent's phone number advising us we could call them directly. Called the number ALL DAY LONG on 8/28 and no answer or voice mail.
Received an email on 8/29 letting us know the delivery was scheduled for 9/5 between 2PM and 6PM. Called the number again all day on the 29th and no answer. I mapped the location of the delivery agent to my house which was 205 miles. The reason I needed to speak with them is to provide them with the GPS coordinates of my house. We have a rural route and box number. I also wanted to confirm this delivery date since on Monday 9/8 I would be on vacation for 2 weeks and no one would be home.
I called the number every single day up to the day of scheduled delivery and still no answer at all. The date of the delivery arrives and I take the afternoon off so I could be home. The email also read that the delivery agent would call 30 minutes prior to arrival. Waited near the phone from 2 to 6. Nothing. I have nothing bad to say about the Wayfair representatives who I spoke with through the whole process. They tried to help as much as they can but there was only so much they could do. Amy especially was very nice.
So the delivery agent missed the commitment and I contacted Wayfair and cancelled my order. The local delivery agent NEEDS TO BE FIRED. They are ruining Wayfair's reputation but Wayfair does choose to use them. We had no idea that it would take almost a month to get a dresser which we didn't get anyway. This has been an awful online shopping experience. I even moved furniture around to have a place for this dresser.
We will NEVER shop at Wayfair again. That was a long time of checking emails and making phone calls to people who don't answer and then miss appointments that THEY schedule. What a big waste of my time. So after cancelling and keeping in mind how bad all this was goofed up, I'm wondering if my neighbor will contact me next week while I'm in Florida to tell me there's a dresser in my driveway. Wouldn't surprise me.

I placed an order for a couch on July 23. I still have not received it. The delivery company stated they deliver to my town on specific days, therefore I reschedule the delivery for July 23. I informed the delivery company (Fabiola and her supervisor Jose) that my building has building restrictions. The company stated it will not be a problem and they will contact me the day before. I never received a phone call. I called the delivery company and the time they stated exceed the allotted time. Wayfair then stated they have no control, we can reschedule the delivery once again. I told the representative and the supervisor (LEILLA **) I took off work and had someone from a different state come up to help. The supervisor assured me the delivery will be made during the time frame. Today, I received no phone call or email. I called Wayfair and they informed me the order was cancelled. Come to find out the supervisor LEILLA did not review her colleague's notes before guaranteeing me the couch will be delivered. Today was the only day I can receive this item. Now I still do not have a couch!!!! This is the worse customer service I ever experienced. I will never ever shop on Wayfair. I will inform everyone I know not to use this site. I am in the process of contacting the CEO Niraji Shah.

I ordered a vanity from Wayfair. Three times and two months later, all three vanities came back cracked. The only solution on the first two occasions was to wait three weeks more for the subsequent vanity to arrive. Wayfair blamed the packing, the shipping, the handlers, the box, etc. This is, I believe, the worst company I have ever dealt with. Lesson learned? If you want a vanity, go to a local place to have something made. They obviously cannot deliver on their promises.

I purchased a steam cleaner from Wayfair May 6 2014. I did not have a chance to try it out until June 14th. I did not like the steam cleaner even though it got great reviews. I looked at their return policy and it was a 30 day return policy. I was outside of the policy window but I thought I would call them and see what I could do fully prepared to keep the cleaner being outside the 30 day return policy. Customer service was very nice and made an exception for me, emailed me a return label (minus shipping charge) and within 3 days of mailing the package back I received my refund via credit card. They could not have been nicer and more accommodating in this situation. I would recommend this company to my friends.

I was alerted to a deal on another website for a Patio Heater and bought the item from Wayfair thru Sears Marketplace. I also saw the same deal on other websites including Walmart.com, all with the ultimate seller being Wayfair.com. I alerted a few friends and family members because it was a great deal. They too purchased the item. The money was taken from my PayPal account and the order was in Pending Shipment status for about 24 hours.
Finally, I was told that Wayfair had made a 'rare' mistake and that they were cancelling my order because they could not honor it. I replied to the e-mail asking for further information and received a canned e-mail back saying they once again apologized and it was simply a mistake that the price was so low. They said it doesn't happen very often again and were sorry that I experienced the issue. This letter was nearly identical to the ones my friends received and did not even address what I had written in my note.
I responded to that note asking if there was anything they would like to do to retain my status as a future customer and that has been ignored. I refrained from using any profanity and the only thing I said I would do is post about my experience with them on social media. My money was refunded but nothing else seems to have been done for me or any of my friends or family. I realize this is within their legal rights to cancel the order, but is not something that would help them in their satisfaction ratings or customer retention ratings.

UPDATE 8/16/13: This is an update on my ongoing communication with Wayfair since I posted a review a few days ago. Now, after 4 rounds of e-mail exchanges with Wayfair, their "Service Squad" representative has now "realized" there has been an "error in the system" in calculating my return shipping cost. The actual return shipping cost is $14.08--not $70 (not sure how this happened since that's a pretty big discrepancy... and I wonder how many other errors in the system have gone uncontested). Had this been the case originally, I wouldn't have had to spend my time posting about Wayfair--return shipping costs of $14.08 is certainly reasonable.
This is a good outcome and I would have given the company a "satisfied" rating but for the fact that had I just given up, I would still be out $70 thanks to the failure of their return system and the initial failure of their "Service Squad" to discover what turned out to be a $55 error on their part. To anyone who uses the Wayfair return system, you may have to check for "errors in the system" and then keep arguing with the Wayfair "Service Squad" before the error is fixed.

Recently, I made a purchase from Wayfair.com for SKU: ATF1718 Grand European Dining Set. Their website advertises this SKU as a 7-piece set. However, my order which is in limbo right now states that this is for a table only. I brought this to their attention and they apologized for the confusion but this is very misleading. Not to mention I am patiently awaiting the next steps to see if they can issue me a credit. Otherwise, it is an extra cost to purchase chairs. Currently, they only have a set of two armchairs available. This also leaves me in a bind because now I would potentially have a huge dining table and only two chairs.

I purchased 2 rugs from Wayfair for $134 including "free" shipping. The rugs were advertised as having "jute backing" which actually means "no backing at all". The cost was about double what rugs of comparable quality (but with REAL backing) would have cost but I liked the pattern so I took a chance, thinking I'd return them (at my cost) if I didn't like them. When the rugs arrived and slid all over my hardwood floors, it was return time. So, here's where Wayfair gets you: They not only charged me for return shipping (which I'm not upset about); they also charged me for their original "free" shipping, making the cost of returning the rugs $70--more than half the purchase price!!! Wayfair's "customer service" people took a "this is our policy...too bad/so sad" approach when I contacted them, sending me nothing more than pre-fab, scripted responses.
I know I'm spoiled by Amazon. They understand, as an online retailer, that returns are part of the cost of doing business and they're fair about them. Wayfair doesn't get this. Yes, sometimes online retailers are going to lose money on a given transaction. But. they'll keep customers coming back if they understand they're in the business of selling products sight unseen so returns are going to happen. If Wayfair wants customers to "take a chance" on liking their products once they arrive, that's not going to happen if they penalize buyers with a 50% "thanks for gambling--but you LOSE" return policy. They need to change or go OUT OF BUSINESS! If you want to gamble, go to Vegas and take your chances. But DON'T play "Wayfair Roulette" with your hard-earned money!

I recently ordered a toilet from Wayfair. It was slated for delivery and I was told that I would need to unload it from the truck... I was not told this when I placed the order, it said they'd bring it to the door, so imagine my surprise when I read this. The toilet weighs 150 lbs, more than I do. Anyhow, even this did not deter me from the delivery, as they gave us a window of 9-12. My other half stayed home from work that AM to help with the delivery. At 11am, when no toilet arrived, he called them and asked what the score was. They said they'd call him back shortly to let him know.
12:30pm rolls around and nothing. He calls again, as he has to go to work, and they promise to call back asap. He gets to work and at 1:37 someone calls him. They'll be delivering soon. He asks if someone could please help me get the toilet off the truck and just to our front door (one step only) and the person tells him no. He asks if they could reconsider, as he actually took time off work this am to be there and they dropped the ball. They then got verbally abusive and said “Look, do you want the ** toilet or not?” They then proceeded to say “yes or no, yes or no, yes or no” over and over and over again! No one wants to deal with a company like that - Roadrunner - btw. So he tells them no way!
I tell Wayfair I do not want the toilet. I will not be abused and shame on them for using such a rogue company. Read the reviews on Roadrunner... Wayfair customer service team tells me I am being charged $123 since I returned the toilet! That's over 33% of the cost of the toilet! I never even rec'd the toilet so it looks like I will have to explore legal action on this. I am sure many people will use them for smaller items that require UPS or FedEx and will not have any issues. But, I will not and cannot use this company again. Their underhanded tactics and abusive freight company should be avoided at all cost. Use Overstock. They have more than one freight company and seem to care.

According to Wayfair's sales rep, "a situation like this does not happen very often." Regretfully, the company's incompetency makes me wonder whether or not they can reconcile their own mistakes. I made my purchase on Tuesday, July 3, 2012. According to my Wayfair email confirmation, my item would have shipped from "the warehouse." I was told by email confirmation that I would receive my merchandise 2 weeks later on July 17th. The date came and went without being notified of any delay, delivery extension dates, backorder, etc. This was a summer season purchase useful for the warm weather only. However, after waiting 2 weeks and making four unsuccessful attempts to receive a formal cancellation of my item with Wayfair Customer Service, I was finally able to receive a cancellation notice "from our warehouse."
My item was officially cancelled on July 18th, 2012. For some unknown reason, my cancelled order arrived at my house on August 10th while I was in the hospital. Without Wayfair's prior notification to me, apparently a scheduled pickup was ordered. A UPS service representative came for the second time unannounced to retrieve this cancelled item (I wasn't aware of his first attempt). I will now be forced to go to great lengths to prepare this very large item for return shipping; the umbrella is tall and is very heavy! I don't have the wherewithal at this time to return it due to recent back surgery.
The umbrella is currently in storage. I had to have my neighbor unwrap it to allow for sufficient room to secure it in my very small unit. Wayfair's mistake is now my burden to go to a great deal of trouble. Understand that under the circumstances, while pursuing several attempts on the phone with your company trying to find out an official delivery date, the item was indeed officially cancelled on July 18th.
Unfortunately, as a result of this company's incompetency, I am filing a formal complaint forthwith with the Boston chapter of the Better Business Bureau as a result of Wayfair's overall poor service and lack of reasonable communication resulting in a major inconvenience to me. I do not want to go to the trouble at this time of retrieving this item from storage. I am currently recovering from back surgery. Furthermore, the considerable effort and inconvenience of returning this cancelled item should afford me the opportunity to keep this item at a reasonable price. This issue can easily be resolved satisfactorily for both parties, Wayfair and myself, but the company representative declined any such opportunity. Nonetheless, I will gladly pay for my cancelled item at a more reasonable, lower price.

Bait and Switch Tactic - I purchased a sofa from Wayfair through Walmart.com and paid with my credit card. I received an order confirmation. The next day, I got an email stating the order was cancelled due to a pricing error. When I called Wayfair, they told me it was an error and I could purchase the sofa for a higher discounted price. I told them I wanted what I purchased for the price I purchased it at. This is an illegal tactic to get people to purchase and then ask for more money. When I purchased it, I thought it was just a d/c model or something that was marked down, because it was offered for the same price on Buy.com (which I have that webpage saved and printed as well). When I told them what they were doing was not fair and illegal, they shrugged it off. I would like to pursue this. We had a contract - they offered an item at a price which I accepted and paid for. They are now backing out of the deal. I have all the emails and paperwork printed.

I purchased a Magic Garden Loft through Amazon.com that was marked at $138.84. The product description was for a bed, dresser, desk and playhouse all in one. Wayfair attempted to send us a comforter set instead. We contacted them and explained that is not what we ordered. They then sent an email stating that the item was misrepresented/ switched around with the comforter set and that they were sorry and would give us back our money. We emailed back and stated we did not want a refund; we wanted the bed we ordered. They replied that in that case it would be $500.00 and some odd dollars.
We emailed again and said, “No, we paid the price that was marked in good faith and will not pay more. Please send us the bed we paid for.” They corresponded stating they would not be sending the bed we paid for in good faith. We now have to seek legal recourse as they are in violation of price gouging, misrepresenting a product, and the federal bait and switch law.
