I fell in love with a mirror on Wayfair's website and decided to order it. Then I came here and read some of the reviews and thought I had made a big mistake. My mirror arrived a week later and it was completely broken. I freaked out because first I didn't know how I'd ship back this giant, shattered mirror and second I was worried how difficult it would be to deal with customer service. I took several pictures of the damage and contacted Wayfair via email. They responded within 2 hours, promising me to ship a new mirror the next day and telling me I should keep and donate the damaged mirror. A week later, yesterday, my new mirror arrived. Just as the first one it's absolutely beautiful and in perfect shape. I'm very happy with the product and as opposed to many here I was surprised by the great customer service!

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. If you buy ANY single large item from Wayfair they may charge up to $200 or more to pick it up and ship it back. I ordered a "Simmons Upholstery Zig Zag Rocker Recliner" for my aging father and RELIED on the Wayfair RATING and on the product description stating there was 5" of cushion in the seating which probably would or should be comfortable. Upon receipt of the chair, found the seating area so stiff and hard that none of who were home (all six of us from 6 years to 78 years) would sit in it for any length of time.
We relied on Wayfair's glowing reviews (now we know they say it's great so it will sell, duh) but also discovered the $ 150 pick up fee. Their return policy is so vague and GENERAL that there is no way to make an informed decision on the purchase. This recliner is USELESS. The return fee is almost 1/2 of what we pulled our scarce resources together to buy it with. NOTE: IF YOU KNOW YOU MAY NOT LIKE an item which SHOULD be COMFORTABLE and isn't, DON'T buy it from Wayfair. It would have been better to drive the two hours into town and hauled an old frail man along to a furniture store than to have to put up with this ridiculously uncomfortable recliner and COMPLETELY uncooperative customer service. Shame on us.

I purchased an Oak hills microwave cart. When I opened the box the foam was everywhere so I had to wipe every piece off then sweep it all up. My son got up in the morning and said that it snowed in the house. Also the metal connectors that hold the long metal screw in place are now breaking off. We were short one in the beginning. Many of these are breaking off and we haven't made this happen in any way. I think Wayfair should at least send us some replacement connectors!

I ordered one of their items called the simple luxury 3000 queen sheet set. I loved the idea in the pic displaying the item how they added the white trimmings on the pillowcase and sheet. It looked unique and very nice so I was really looking forward to receiving it. After ordering only to find that it came with the linings all black and not like the picture that showed the linings should have been white. When I called to inquire I was told they no longer sell the item with the white linings and it just wasn't updated on the website. This is unfortunately the second incident with Wayfair where I was mislead. It is disappointing because I was guaranteed after the first incident that I won't ever have to be concerned again and Wayfair items are 100 percent of the time always guaranteed to be accurate. Well it's to be this turned out to be a second lie and because of this distrust they have created I can't or will ever trust in ordering another item from them again.

I ordered a couch from Wayfair. The color was named "Cobblestone" which the pictures indicated (and a Wayfair representative wrote, was a light grey) (which is the color I wanted). The couch arrived and it was a mud brown. They had sent me the wrong couch. Then, they charged me $80 to return it. Total ripoff. And, as another review commented, Wayfair doesn't allow negative comments on their own website. This company does not deliver the right items, and then charges you a large fee for their own mistakes. It also wasted about a month of my time, waiting for the couch, communicating with their unreliable "Customer Service" department, and then waiting for the couch to be removed.

I don't really write reviews but this time Wayfair really frustrated me. I ordered customized chair for my friend's first son's first birthday and it gave me estimated time will be on 2/2/2016 which before his birthday. And I was making sure on 01/02/2016 it will be delivered on right time or not. I talked to agent, said "oh sorry it be will be delivered by 12/02/2016. We out of stock. We can't do anything at this time." Offered me an ugly chair with a girl color which was pink. I was like are you serious??? I ordered this long time ago. You should have told me earlier. Now you are just telling "Oh sorry do you want to cancel your order? Your money will be in your account 3-5 business days." THIS IS ridiculous! I will never ever use this site again. NEVER!

I ordered a bed from Wayfair because the reviews on their website didn't seem too troubling. Then after submitting the order I began to look elsewhere and found terrible reviews on Amazon for the product so I cancelled it within an hour after ordering. Of course they don't have automatic cancellation so the next day they proceeded to fulfill my order and sent me an email saying my order cannot be cancelled because it has been shipped although I never received confirmation of this. I reached out to a representative to complain who wasn't much help at all and shortly after hanging up I get an email saying my order has been shipped.
Now I will have to pay to return the item. This is very bad business practice and I will no longer be using Wayfair to save a couple of bucks. Overstock and Amazon both sell the same items for similar prices and I've never had bad experiences with either company. To those people who wrote reviews complaining about how long it takes to receive an item, my advice is just cancel and then the item will appear on your doorstep within 2 days!

I placed a couple of orders for tile they advertised as clearance. I received a estimated delivery date on one and the other was backordered. Coincidentally, within hours after placing my orders, the price changed on these two tiles. I feel this is a bait and switch tactic this company is playing. I called on one order to confirm it was backordered. The representative assured me it would be delivered because it had already passed the "fraud dept", whatever that meant. I'm afraid I won't be doing much business with this Wayfair.com much longer. It's a waste of time and they do not honor their advertised price as a brick and mortar company would. A bunch of BS!

I canceled my order and had to complain here since they don't post negative reviews to their website.

Rather than being long winded with details, I will give you a summary of what's wrong with Wayfair and why you do not want to make a purchase there. This pretty much encompasses what others are complaining about here too. I ordered from them twice, a year apart and in two different cities with the exact same poor results.
Issue 1: Wayfair uses 3rd rate, fly by night shippers that will destroy your packages. The last order I placed was for thousands of dollars worth of office furniture. The delivery truck that arrived had no lift gate and the employees didn't even have lift straps. To top it off, the truck leaked leaving my furniture soaking wet with rain. But hey that's ok, because they just dropped them 3 1/2 feet off the ground, dragged them across my driveway (too heavy to pick up and no dolly) and damaged them anyway.
Issue 2: Customer service will only do the bare minimum to assist you. I think this is the company policy there and a primary complaint from others. They will not offer concessions, i.e. discount, coupon etc.. as an appeal for your troubles. You end up with three choices: return your merchandise, wait weeks for a reorder from the factory (what I am currently doing), or just accept your damaged merchandise with no concessions.
Summary: Wayfair appears to drop ship most items from the manufacturers factory, so it is likely that they do not have warehouse stocked with goods to reship to you, when your item arrives damaged. They also appear to have stringent policies regarding customer service and what they are allowed to do, this includes offering you concessions. This is a really bad business practice. Finally, in order to keep cost down and maximize profits they use any shipper that costs the least, regardless of several complaints regarding this practice. They defer the damaged goods to the manufacturer instead of accepting the responsibility themselves (illegal at best). If you are fortunate to receive your items undamaged then you will likely be happy with the price, however this is tantamount to playing Russian Roulette and I can tell you from my experience that I lost that game twice. :)

I had to threaten legal action to get my money back.

Placed an order on 1/16 for 3 of these bar stools. Called yesterday to see where the order is, and was told the warehouse is closed but will get a phone call once they open. Called today again after not receiving the call back to find out these are actually on backorder. My question is how can Wayfair accept order without letting the customer know these are back ordered, and also they charge the customer immediately upon ordering. I of course asked to cancel the order and will not do business with them ever again!

In early December I ordered a furniture set that was supposed to ship in 2-3 weeks. In fact, the website still shows that as the shipping time. However, the furniture didn't ship until over a month later, and at this point, we're looking at delivery in February if we're lucky. Meanwhile, I've had a business meeting without furniture for my sitting room (had to borrow some), and am just plain ticked. What we were promised in terms of delivery is fraud. There was no intention of shipping in the advertised time.
I did contact Wayfair directly, and there's no option to pick up the furniture. Oh! Pick up? Well, the furniture has been sitting at a shipping depot right here in town for a week. It's two miles from me, and I can't get it. I have to wait until it goes to another state, at which point I'm supposed to get a call to arrange delivery, and once that other place gets it, I'm supposed to expect it to be up to a week to get a call to arrange delivery, and how far delivery can be out from there... It was a mistake ordering the furniture.

I never ever complain about anything. But Wayfair have left me completely shocked. I ordered a Spiderman mid sleeper bed for my son. The bed came included with a ladder, a slide, and a tent. My husband and I were putting it together when we realised that there was no base to the bed. I got hold of Wayfair to ask about the bed. I spoke to someone who had a polite tone but was very sarcastic in what she spoke. Wayfair's answer was, "It is a German company and in Germany, the base comes separate." And if I had read the small print I would have known that. So I could return the bed and lose £135, as this is what it would cost to ship it back or I was told. Or pay for the slats and shipment extra on top of what I had already paid.
Here in England, you buy a bed the base automatically comes with the bed. If you are selling beds in England with NO base this should be highlighted. I have spoke to many people about this. And everyone is completely shocked that no base came with the bed. No one I know has ever brought a bed with no base. I now have a bed with no base. I refuse to lose £135. I am now having someone make me some slats for the bed. I will NEVER deal with Wayfair AGAIN. And I am warning everyone the same. When you have been mislead, you do not need someone on the other end of the phone being sarcastic. Very unprofessional.

I recently purchased 4 area rugs. The original purchase was based on liking the style, original product price and great customer reviews. The rugs I received were obviously from different dye lots but I was willing to overlook this because of price. However, the rugs which were reviewed as very thick by other customers were not even as thick as my 10 year old area rugs purchased from a home improvement store for $100. The rugs get sucked into my vacuum when I try to clean them too. I wrote a review on this purchase on the Wayfair website and even though the Cranston rugs are still being sold I cannot locate my negative review. I wonder if other negative reviews are not posted either. Had they been posted I probably would not have purchased these rugs.

We found sofas on Wayfair for a fantastic price! I called and verified the price. Checked with a supervisor to make sure that it was correct. They confirmed. We bought them, received an email confirmation, had it noted in our account that they were preparing to deliver them. The next week we received an email stating that they made a price mistake- sorry, here is $25 gift card. We gave away our old furniture, took down the wallpaper in the new "man cave", bought paint, gave away the bed since it wasn't going to be a bedroom anymore and they offer us $25! I wish that I had checked them out before! At this point we will go to small claims court and the FTC.

I was then informed that they oversold this item and it was out of stock and the following Monday it would arrive. Then I get an email explaining that this item was out of stock. I was only notified because I had to call to tell them. Needless to say I was irked at their poor customer service but decided to just wait for it. Today I got an email stating that since they cannot ship in the time frame that I will be getting a full refund. I went back over to the website and since then the price has increased. I ordered a sofa from Wayfair 3 months the ago. First occurring problem: not receiving emails from them confirming order. Called them tried to work the issue, still no go. Called AGAIN, they couldn't understand the problem! REALLY! They had to do some kind of "attachment" to get an email to me. After that, you guessed it! No emails. About three weeks ago I called to check on my order. They had a pending cancelation on the order due to credit card cancelation. We experienced credit card fraud and that card had been canceled. I did not receive an email or phone call from them informing me that this occurred. On December 28th I called again to check on the status of my order. That's when I found out about the problem with the card. I gave them a new card number.
Once again, on that call we went through the whole email scenario. The representative managed to get one email to me at that time. I was told I would receive an email when the sofa shipped... Nothing! So I call today to find the order has been canceled! Another run around with the credit card. No phone call, no nothing! This supervisor tells me that MSN sometimes blocks Wayfair's email. After all this time they make no effort whatsoever to get this straightened out for a customer! She also told me they're not set up to call customers, they have a automated system. Well there wasn't any messages left. This whole thing is unbelievable. I have given them the benefit of the doubt more times than I should have, with absolutely no effort on their part. Needless to say I am done. I hope consumers will think twice before doing business with Wayfair. I haven't talked about each of the calls I've made, this review is long enough as it is!

I ordered 2 tiffany-style lamps. Paid $300 for them so I expect quality. When I opened the box I was very disappointed. The lamps did not look like the picture on their website. They were much darker than what the picture showed. When I spoke with Customer Service, he said it was dark blue, look at the third picture. I told him the first picture was what I thought I had bought. Turns out they took a pic of the lamp while the light was on. I told him even with the light on, it is still very blue. He said I can return them; however, I had to pay for shipping. The shipping is going to be expensive since they are big, heavy boxes. Why should the consumer pay for return shipping on a product that was not accurately portrayed on their site? Also, the glass quality was not very good. I could overlook that if the color was true to the picture. I will not shop Wayfair again. I thought since they are advertised on HGTV, my expectations would have been met.

I had high hopes for this website, sadly they let me down... TWICE! First, I ordered the Mercury Row Broken Lattice Gray Area Rug on 12/28/15. When I got my order confirmation, the estimated delivery date is 1/7/16. Okay, I can live with that. On Thursday, 12/31/15, I got an email stating that it has been shipped and I will be expecting it on 1/8/16. Still, I can live with it. I tracked the package yesterday, 1/5/16 and it's been delayed somewhere and now it's set to be delivered on 1/11/16.
Second, we ordered the New Cat Condos 50" Premier Kitty Pad Cat Tree in Gray. This had a 2-day delivery and we ordered it on 1/2/16. Estimated delivery date is 1/6/16. I called on Tuesday 1/5/16 because I still didn't see the Wayfair shipping confirmation. They said it was shipped on Monday night (1/4/16) and it takes about 24 hours to get that confirmation. I talked to Whitney and she even sent me the tracking information. I tracked it this morning 1/6/16 and it hasn't been updated. I called today and asked for status update and it's still in the warehouse waiting to be shipped.
On another note, we ordered a couch from here on 12/21/15 and they said it will take about a month now before it ships and another couple of weeks to be delivered. So I cancelled all my orders as this is just unacceptable. They keep arguing that it's an estimate and never a guarantee. Wayfair will never get my business ever again. Over the last 12 days I have chatted online with 5 different people who have not helped me at all. So I guess I should have read the other comments before ordering from Wayfair. I was interested in getting an ottoman for my mother for Christmas. Stumbling across the Wayfair commercial on TV, decided to give it a try . The ottomans were very cute and I quickly found one I liked. It was on sale, which was a bonus and claimed to have free 2-day shipping. I just had to order in the next couple hours (there was a digital countdown happening in red) and I would have it by Wednesday, 12/16. Sounded good to me! Well, after I ordered I got a confirmation email that stated delivery on or before 12/30. Not what I expected to say the least. What happened to receive by 12/16? I guess that was a just kidding you'll get in two weeks.
So I chatted online with a Cooper who seemed very nice and wanted to help. Luckily, I screenshotted what I had seen and promptly emailed the pictures to him. And I never heard back from him. I called and talked to another person before finally getting transferred to a manager at my request. She promised should look into it and get back to me on Monday. Well today (Monday), she emailed me back with some type of lame excuse about the ottoman being a daily deal and not qualifying for the 2-day shipping. I responded with perhaps they should remove the statement about 2-day shipping from the item if it doesn't qualify. I haven't heard anything back. I WIIL NOT order from these people again and will strongly discourage my family, friends, co- workers, neighbors, doctors, staff and anyone I see to likewise do the same.

Ordered four items from these folks in a pre-holiday sale. Item one showed up fine. Item two - two side chairs - was the wrong color. Wayfair at first insisted that the color displayed on their site was incorrect, but on checking with the manufacturer confirmed that there were in fact two choices and promised to send the correct one out immediately. I then started getting notices from UPS for a pickup, even though Wayfair hadn't issued return instructions yet. It took nearly two weeks and four phone calls to get that info. The replacement chairs showed up on Christmas Eve... and were the same incorrect color as the first order. These folks clearly cannot handle the breadth of material they are offering. To date there is still no word on return instructions.

I ordered a dining table on 11/26/15. I received it on 12/17/15. However, I received a wrong table base. I emailed Wayfair about the issue on 12/18/15 and requested them to ship and deliver to my address before Christmas, but the account manager rep said it's not possible. They could only ship it again and it would arrive after Christmas. I then saw a refund and a charge for the same amount. I called in to talk to some rep and she said it was because they made a mistake, so they would give me a refund for that table base and ship it to me for free, but it would be to our address around 1/7/16.
I then emailed the account manager to confirm it and she said it's just a refund and recharge the same amount for the correct table base that they did not originally send to us and said their customer rep did not have all the info that's why she gave me the wrong answer. The bottom line is I supposed to have it for Christmas and New Year parties, but they screwed up the shipment and take no responsibility, so their customer have to pay for it by waiting until Jan. 7, 2016.

The problem was that they wanted to charge me shipping on the new pillowcases. I talked to the guy that it wasn't my fault that they shipped the wrong thing, and why should I have to pay for them? It is pretty much Wayfair.com saying that they will charge the customer for their mistake. Honestly I think they have lost my business. You should really be looking at the customer's interest. If I changed my mind, yeah charge me but don't charge me for your mistake.

They sent a discount code with no amount for the discount on the note. Complained again, they stated they had given me two discounts, what more could I want. I replied I had one as per note with no amount and that the price should be honored. THEN I get an email that every item in my order was priced wrong. This was days later.
I promised not to report it on Social Media. This is consumer info. People should know. If enough people order and they decide the price is wrong, they sit with our money in their account. To be returned in 4 days. That in accounting is called floating. They have our money to earn interest on, while we pay interest on our charged amount.

The workers opened the containers, sorted the various pieces on my back lawn, started the assembly, left for more tools but never returned. After one full week of emails and phone calls I was notified by Wayfair that they would not honor the assembly portion of the sale. I have swing set parts spread across my lawn that has been there now for 9 days! Wayfair did do a partial refund as compensation but refused to hire a company to assemble the swing set, what a mess. I really wish I had taken the time to read all the terrible reviews about Wayfair.com before placing my very first order with them. What an absolute disastrous first impression they have made. I will NEVER SHOP WITH WAYFAIR again. I decided to purchase six curtains on 12/15/2015 because they seemed elegant. The website stated that I should order within an hour and forty minutes to receive my items by 12/17/2015 with free shipping. I was sold! Unfortunately, they meant my order would be processed by 12/17/2015 and I wouldn't receive it until 12/24/2015. All of this information came after I already confirmed my purchase. I felt bamboozled.
After some consideration I found a nifty little button to cancel the order. I received a message that an emailed confirmation of my cancellation will be sent to me within one day, if the order had not already been processed. Of course they denied me the cancellation and a refund. Yet, when I checked my order status it had not been mailed yet, was still processing and would be mailed out to me on 12/18/2015. My estimated time of arrival was also changed to before or after 12/28/2015. I was fuming at this point.
I called Customer Service and they were absolutely no help. She had no answers for me, and said she didn't want to make up an answer. She agreed that I had received conflicting information. Then said, there is a glitch on the website that offers the order cancellation option even though some warehouses are incapable of processing such a request. WTF! Wayfair, you need to get it together. This is absurd. I was told there is nothing Customer Service can do from their end until the package is mailed to me, then returned. Merry Christmas to me! I'm sure only more unresolved nonsense awaits me in regards to this order. Who knows, at this rate they may resolve this by 12/15/2017.

I received a 'first time buyer' 10% off coupon in the mail from Wayfair. I ordered a bed via a telephone call to the organization. The purchase stayed in the pending status on my online banking for several days and the amount pending did not reflect the discount so I called a second time. Both times the customer service reps were very helpful and professional. The second rep sent me a confirmation email noting that my discount would be credited and told me that the bed would be delivered on 12.4.15.
Well to my surprise it came yesterday, 3 days early, with all the parts included and in perfect condition! The height of the headboard is exactly as advertised (as is the color) and the headboard fits perfectly against the low, extended out area (laundry venting) where we have the bed placed. While it is not a 'high end' quality bed, I am completely satisfied with the purchase given what we paid. I would highly recommend this company to anyone shopping online. The only negative is having to wait for a credit for the 10% discount otherwise I would have given a BIG 5 stars.

When I didn't heard from them, they were redirecting me to different numbers and people telling me that they will fix it and they were going to call me back to confirm. They never did and they delivered them anyway. Then I wanted to return them and they said they were going to charge me 52.52 for each box, 4 total boxes $202.68, and at the end they charged me $348.63. Keep your money and sanity, buy somewhere else. Item(s) Cost Credit: $480.30. Return Shipping Cost: $348.63. Total Return Refund: $128.67.

Delivery made to my home. While delivering item upstairs there was damage done to walls and woodwork. Wayfair put me in touch with restoration company. They came out to home and I have not heard anything since. Called several times and left messages. Wayfair should have the burden of getting this corrected, but they seem to pass it off to me. I would think twice about ordering from Wayfair. The couch was nice but arrived with a spot on it. They did give me an adjustment. Now I'm dealing with having my walls and woodwork restored and have come up blank. Not happy!

When I requested to send it back because the whole product was OVER PRICE, they sent me a shipping label and deducted 50% off my original purchase for "shipping" cost. They try to make up for their loses by OVERCHARGING us, the consumers, with outrageous AMOUNTS of shipping fees. That only speaks very poorly about the integrity of this company.

I am very surprised with all the negative feedback, especially considering how smoothly my purchase had proceeded.

I recommend never to buy anything from Wayfair that you don't think you will need to return. I have never in my life dealt with a company that charges over $5.99 to return something that didn't work out. First of all I didn't have to pay shipping on the product when I bought it and unfortunately it didn't work out so I had to return it. They charged me over $15.00 on a product that only cost me $40 to begin with and they didn't even tell you this or I would have used my own shipping. I will never buy anything from Wayfair again.

I ordered a desk from Wayfair.com back in the second week of September, 2015. It arrived within about a week and a half. It needed to be assembled, which was no problem. However, one of the hardware pieces was damaged. I contacted Wayfair and they sent me a confirmation e-mail that the part had shipped. It never arrived. They said it was my fault because my account had the wrong house number in my profile. Well, how did the desk arrive correctly if I entered my information wrong?? So I went online and saw that they had my house number as "54" as opposed to "154. Fixed the issue and asked they send the replacement part again. Received an e-mail that the part had shipped and would arrive today October 27th... over a month later!!! However, in the e-mail I noticed again the shipping address had the house number as "54" and not "154". I e-mailed them again and they said I set up my account that way.
Went online again and saw that my address was listed as "154", which was correct. So why did they ship it to 54?? Again?? They sent an e-mail this morning that they were sending yet a 3rd replacement part. I replied back to forget it. I asked that they send me shipping material to return the desk and now they are not answering. This is the worst company ever!!! Don't order anything from here They steal your money and then won't take their unsatisfactory items back!!!

Actually, I dealt with Wayfair.com for about four years before I FINALLY threw in the towel. Had both hits and misses. When Wayfair first came onto the scene, they were in fact a great deal. Same product as other online shops but lower price. Then over the years, I started noticing the price increases and product quality decline. This past year was really the final straw over a couple issues.
My last straw was discovering the bait and switch in their "Clearance" items. Many eye-catching items are listed as clearance and when you click to order as quick as you can, the item is "RESERVED" or a different price. Funny that the same item can be "RESERVED" solid for months. I Wayfair a couple times regarding this sneaky practice but NEVER a response... Hmmmmm, I wonder why? I have since completely stopped shopping at Wayfair and really do not miss it anymore. In all honesty, the best deals are on Amazon... almost always lower price for same item... and Amazon has the best customer service I've ever encountered. Good luck shopping. :)

Finally received a delivery date of Oct. 18th where my daughter was to be home from 2-6 for delivery. She was to receive a call a half hour before delivery. The delivery was never made and she never received any type of call that she would not receive couch. Tried calling them, but only received voice mail. I am furnishing a new home. My first order was cancelled by Wayfair after it was shipped, with an explanation that the item was discontinued. I later saw the same item in their website for a higher price. The second item arrived broken. Since it had a distressed finish I fixed it and wrote a negative review. After 3 weeks and repeated reassurances that it would be posted, it is still not there. The third item could not be properly assembled. I requested a return and got an argument about 50% shipping fees reduction from my refund.
The fourth item was cancelled within 5 minutes of my placing the order, for a larger size. It arrived anyway. To their credit, it was picked up promptly for return. However, another one of the cancelled item arrived two days later. The fifth item was smaller than advertised but I kept it. The sixth and seventh items were shipped, but the delivery kept getting postponed by Wayfair. After 3 postponements I told Wayfair to cancel the items. Only after I told them I was going to the CA Atty General did I get a full refund.

I was promised a refund that I haven't seen too. And when I emailed them about the cracked bed, they simply dumped me on their Canadian bed supplier and basically told me to figure it out with them. I am remodeling my bathroom and I placed 4 orders with Wayfair. Out of 4 they got 2 wrong. First I ordered a vanity which was supposed to be delivered inside and I would be called 30 min before the delivery. Sure enough nobody called and the vanity was left in front of the building. Since I am a woman and live alone, I had to pay somebody to bring the vanity upstairs. Jordan, the manager, reimbursed me some money to make up for that.
The second order I placed over the phone for towel rods. They were supposed to come on Monday. When I called Wayfair they told me that the order was not placed. The bathroom will be finished Saturday and I have to call them back for the shower rods. I talked to Sarah, the manager and she told me that I should check the local stores or place the order online myself. I am very disappointed with the service.

Ordered a Sofa sectional Oct 1st. Got status update via email that the item was going to be shipped to their warehouse on Oct 7th and I will be contacted via phone to set up a delivery time/date. I checked back a week later to see the status and on the shipping status, it says to be delivered on/before Oct 9th. So therefore I was expecting a phone call so we can coordinate a shipment time. Never heard anything, day of, still haven't heard anything, so I gave them the benefit of doubt maybe due to the storm, it got delayed. Nothing was updated on their site in terms of my order, still had the Oct 9th date on it.
I called the next day Saturday but Customer service said their warehouse is closed on weekends and won't be able to find out what is going on with my order, told me he will note it in my order and to call back Tuesday, which I did via online chat. They looked into it and then told me the warehouse is telling them the order is on back order and will not be back in stock in the near future. They then told me they will send me a list/pictures of alternative sofas I can order, but I only got one and the price on that was lesser than the one I got and they said it was going to be for an even exchange. I did use a 10% coupon, but asked for a 15% off to compensate for the fault that was on their end not mine. But customer service rep couldn't do anything. Told me the only solution was to cancel the order and order something else.
That is just not good business, as they wasted my time on this and didn't even contact me in the first place to let me know this item is out of stock, yet they were still selling them on the website until recently they took it off. I've read a lot of complaints that delivery and stock was already in question. But I chose to give them a try and that has now got me to stay far away from them and will tell my friends and family to not give them any business. Do yourself the favor, skip the headache and visit a local furniture store instead.

I would first like to say that I have made multiple purchases from Wayfair over the last year without problems or dissatisfaction and became a regular customer. However, I have recently had two consecutive bad experiences with Wayfair. About a month ago I had ordered a desk and what arrived at my doorstep was a small box. When I opened it I saw a desk lamp instead. I immediately called customer service and they told me if it was labeled with the desk SKU number that I had ordered then that is what they send. I told customer service that there was no way anyone could mistake this small box for a desk. They really had no response. They immediately issued a refund but would not replace the desk.
Last week I had found a different desk system. This one required that I order two desks and a corner wedge to complete a corner desk system. I ordered it, received a confirmation that all three pieces were shipped out last night and I was happy. This morning I see another email from Wayfair apologizing that they had to refund the cost of one desk back to my credit card because this desk was suddenly "discontinued" and was not shipped. Well according to the Wayfair site, they still have this desk in stock.
I called customer service again and expressed my dissatisfaction with the way they conduct business. I told them to cancel my entire order because the point of ordering two desks was to have a corner desk unit, not the one desk and a corner wedge. I also asked how it's possible to send an email last night stating that both desks and a corner wedge were shipped and then this morning receive another email stating that one desk was not shipped out, but cancelled instead. I don't get it. Anyway, I am now waiting for Wayfair to cancel and refund the entire order because I informed them that I will refuse the shipment and refuse payment. The young lady who assisted me was very polite and understanding. I also emailed Wayfair to let them know that I will no longer be making purchases with them in the future.

I was purchasing a bookcase online with Wayfair.com. They offered me a credit card with a $6,000 credit line and I accepted. I then received an email from Wayfair telling me that my card would arrive in about 10 business days but in the meantime my credit card number had been added to my Wayfair account and could be accessed with my next order. About a week later I needed to purchase a new pedestal sink and found one at a decent price on Wayfair. When I tried to check out, my credit card number had indeed been added but when I went to finalize the order I got a message in red letters that said "unable to validate payment method" or something to that effect. So I gave it a few minutes and tried again. Same result. So I emailed Wayfair's customer service and I got a reply within 24 hours telling me to try and make the purchase again in a few hours.
So I waited until the next day and then tried again. Once again I received the same message "unable to validate payment method.". At that point I wrote back to customer service telling them I had, once again, been unsuccessful in placing the order. I received an email giving me a phone number to call for Customer Service and they would help me in placing my order. Yay! Finally some help! But, alas, no. I called that number a half a dozen times but received the same message every time,"the number you are calling is not in service.". ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!
So, ever the optimist I wrote back explaining that the number they have me is not in service. And once again, promptly, I received a message back telling me that they were sorry (no explanation as to why the customer service phone number didn't work but that I should now call their credit department). You'd think that would be the end of it, but NO. I TRIED CALLING THE NEW NUMBER AND IT DOESN'T RING. It just makes a loud whiney mechanical sound like when you call a fax machine. Except louder. I've just written them one more email. Thanks, but no thanks. I'm sticking with Overstock.com. Now Wayfair tells me they cannot get a new one to me for a month! When I told them I am very disappointed in them I was told the bed actually comes from a warehouse they contract with and they have no control over what is sent to me! REALLY???

I ordered 4 'black' garden chairs in mid-August from Wayfair, a company I had not used previously. When I opened the packaging I discovered that the chairs were, in fact, green with lots of copper flecks and so had been wrongly described. I called the company on Monday and was promised that their couriers would call me to arrange collection and then I would receive a full refund 5 days later. It is now Wed and I have heard nothing, so called Wayfair again, only to be told that a date had been fixed without consulting with me and that the couriers would not give me an approximate time for collection, so I am expected to wait in all day, which I am certainly not prepared to do. BUYER BEWARE, DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!

In the end, Wayfair refunded me 3/4 of the cost, since I only received 1 of the 4 chairs. I was lucky in that I took screenshots, showing the chair was supposed to be a set of 4 before I got to the purchase confirmation.
The Wayfair invoice and shipping invoice just showed it as one chair. I think this is a problem with the way the Chintally chairs are listed on the Wayfair website - and based on the amount of chairs from the manufacturer listed as "Set of X" - I don't think this was an isolated incident.

I ordered a chair (set of 4) from Wayfair. When it arrived, it was one chair, with 4 pieces to assemble. There was nothing in the product description that indicated there would be less than 4 chairs arriving or that the set of 4 meant the number of assembly pieces. This was nothing but false advertising. I would have never paid $87 for a cheap plastic chair - for a set of 4 the price made sense. Oh - and to return it and get a refund, the "shipping charges" are deducted from your refund. Since the shipping is (supposedly) free, this means they can claim any amount for the shipping charges and screw you in the refund. Wayfair is a total scam.

I purchased a Delta 5 pc dining set from Wayfair. The advertisement stated 5 pc as well as the picture. When I did not receive the chairs, I called and was told that it was only the table. When I spoke with the manager, he agreed that the advertisement was wrong and they plan to correct it but they could not send the chairs that were advertised or any other chairs. He did credit $75 back for the table but I explained that was not enough because I would still have to purchase chairs from 75-100 dollars each. I am disappointed that Wayfair did not honor the advertisement they had on their website and I will return the table and do not plan to shop at Wayfair ever again. I am not satisfied the offer of $75 and I have a bad taste in my mouth.

Today, I didn't hear from the rep but did however receive 2 emails from Wayfair stating that my order had been CANCELED!!! I spoke with another rep today that was able to see that they had mis-labeled the price and that instead of charging me $500 they would just cancel my mirror. I just feel so disappointed and ripped off because if they put it online with a certain price it should be honored in my opinion. They were able to weasel out of it because of their terms and conditions. This is just bad business. I will NOT be buying anything else from Wayfair!!

I tried mattress for 1 night and OMG it was awful, lumpy, noisy and springs digging in your back - saying it was uncomfortable would be an understatement!!! I phoned to make arrangements for return but was then told it was non-returnable because it had been used after a lengthy conversation with advisor who was having none of it. I am beyond unsatisfied with my experience on Wayfair.com. I ordered a dining table, an end table, and a sofa table on July 31st. The items were separated into two shipments, the dining table on one shipment and the sofa and end tables on a separate shipment. Both shipments were delayed beyond their original delivery date, however the table was finally delivered. The remaining two tables have not been delivered. I have been in contact with Wayfair everyday regarding this. I received an e-mail informing me that my items would be delivered on the day before the e-mail was sent, which was bizarre.
The items were never delivered. Wayfair claims that the tables are at the warehouse of the delivery company but they are unable to get in contact with the delivery company. I have also tried contacting the delivery company myself and cannot reach them. They do not have a website and I question whether they are a true business or perhaps have gone out of business. Every time I contact Wayfair they tell me they have tried to contact the delivery company again and to please wait 1 business day after which I will receive an e-mail scheduling my delivery date, and many of those "one business days" have gone by and I have no tables and have received no e-mail to schedule a delivery.
Why can't Wayfair reach their shipping company? Why can't I reach the shipping company myself? The whole situation is very sketchy, especially since I have been charged for both of these missing tables. No one will take responsibility. I asked that my order be canceled since it is clear I will never receive it. What does Wayfair do next? They send me an automated e-mail to RETURN my order for a refund. My card will be refunded once they receive my returned merchandise. How on earth am I supposed to return something that I never received?! I am at my wits end dealing with this company. Their customer service is very deceiving... They come off as very caring initially but over time it becomes clear that they are just giving you the runaround, hoping that you will give up and they can keep your money. I will be contacting my credit card company, contest the charges as well as filing a complaint with the BBB.

Ordered king size platform bed with headboard. It arrived with 2-day shipping which was awesome. Came with two broken legs and missing headboard. Called customer service. They confirmed headboard was never shipped and shipped it with estimated date of 15 days, saying their warehouse is packed with orders. On the day of shipping I got one more email, saying my replacement order was canceled without mentioning any reason. Have to call customer service.
After 20 minutes of research he found that headboards were not in stock, so he cannot ship. I was given two options, either to return bed as it was shipped (disassemble myself and pack it and ship it) or wait for a month for headboards to get into stock and then ship it to me (customer care ordered missing headboard with 1 month wait time). Will never ever shop with wayfair.Com.

Would have required my husband taking the whole lamp to the hardware store to buy a proper screw. Where's the convenience in that? After working to assemble for hours, we discovered they are much lower than regular chairs. But decided to keep them because we had them put together. It was time to replace our built in microwave and Wayfair had the correct model in stock that would go with my current kitchen set. Waited longer than was estimated. The box was severely damaged when delivered. I was hopeful that the microwave survived its shipping abuse, but it had several dings on the stainless steel. The door was jammed and the button to open the microwave would not work.
Customer service seemed to really care and asked for photos to make a claim against the shipper. I was told that I had to keep the microwave, in case the shipper had questions. I was told to keep it for three weeks, then donate it. I found this to be frustrating. Why couldn't they require the shipper to pick up the appliance? I was assured our replacement would be delivered promptly and would have added packing.
Of course it was delayed again. The second microwave was even in worse condition. It had a huge dent in the back that went all the way into the cooking chamber. Wayfair said they would ship another, but I refused and asked for a refund. They offered store credit. Ha! It soon appeared I would need to get American Express involved. I finally was offered a refund. Hopefully I will see the credit soon.
Then came the question of two damaged microwaves. Again I was told to keep it for three weeks, then donate. I begged for them to pick them up, I didn't want the hassle holding on to three microwaves for weeks, then trying to find a charity that would pick them up. (Boxes are quite large.) I was told they would not be picking up the microwaves. While I am satisfied with getting my refund, I have waited weeks without a microwave and my foyer is littered with microwaves and boxes. And now start my shopping search again.

They wouldn't accept my home address because Canada Post deems that my official mailing address isn't my home but a PO Box, even though I work at home and someone is always here. The consequence is that I had to use my mother's address to even place my order. My mother was uncomfortable so I contacted customer service to explain the situation and update the address with my home address (which should have been available from the start). The person I spoke to put in the address change.
Item 1 shipped, wrong address. I contacted them and they said it was already processed when the address change was made but it would apply to the remaining 2 items. Item 2 shipped, wrong address. I contacted them and they said that the address change didn't go through in time for that one either but they would try to reroute when it got to the border (I'm in Canada). Item 3 shipped a week later, WRONG ADDRESS. I contacted them and they said that the address change didn't go through (In over a week!) but they would try to reroute at the border. I received an email stating that all 3 items were rerouted to my home address. The next day Item #1 shows up at the wrong address. So I was lied to.
This is still ongoing but I needed to share this disaster just in case anyone else was thinking about doing business with this horrible company. There are plenty of ways this could have been avoided. Such as: Allowing customers to ship to a home address even if Canada Post decides their official address is a PO Box. If/when changes are made to an order, putting a hold on the order until the changes are addressed. Not lying... honestly, there was no need for that. Had I known it was still going to my mother's house I could have at least given her a heads up. Now, she's pissed at me because she feels I lied to her because Wayfair lied. This didn't need to happen.

Our company purchased a Bestar Harmony U-Shape Computer Desk with Hutch office desk from Wayfair on 5/19/15. We finally received the desk 7 weeks later. The shipment contained 3 large boxes all of which was torn and you could see parts of the desk was chipped and broken through the holes in the boxes. I contacted Simon, our Wayfair rep who was able to get us a $100 discount because at the time we thought we had all of the parts of the desk, which I really appreciated. The piece arrived broken. I called customer service and they said "We'll send you a replacement, and tell packaging to double box it." Mind you, it was pretty well packed the first time, but was heavy and fragile. They didn't blink an eye. No "box it up, return to UPS and file a claim." Nope. They told me to donate it or dispose of it any way I wanted to. The new coffee table was on the way, they'd keep me apprised about delivery dates and times. Quite frankly, I was flabbergasted! That kind of service in this day and age? Pretty amazing. I will absolutely order from them again and recommend them to others.

I call customer service. Apparently my fixtures were never shipped and the local delivery won't make two deliveries. So the tub is there (supposedly) just no faucet. My husband calls and asks if we can just pick the tub up ourselves, after all it ours and we did pay for it. They wouldn't agree to that but they did agree to making two deliveries. I ordered 3 bar stools in April. It took a while but they finally came in about a month later. We had not gotten the stools so contacted Wayfair. After checking with FedEx we learned the stools had been shipped to a Wayfair office on the east coast, not once but TWICE, instead of their warehouse. We finally got the stools the first of June. In putting them together we discovered that only 2 of the stools matched. Wayfair said they would have the odd stool picked up and immediately order another one that should have been in the original order. Their representative said it would be shipped on or before June 17th. So on the 28th I sent an email asking where was my stool.
Today I got a reply email saying "sorry but the stool had been discontinued" and there would be no further action. The representative reference an email they sent to me on June 4th telling me the stool had been "discontinued". However, the email I received on June 4th was confirming the stool would be shipped on or before the "18" - the 17th got changed to the 18th when they had to put it in writing. In an attempt to make this negative review short and information I will summarize my experience with Joss&Main or Wayfair over the past week. I ordered a table online and the shipping details were not available until after checkout. I completed the order anyway only to get an email saying my item would ship in 3-4 weeks to a 3rd party for them to then call and set up a delivery time in 1-2 weeks. Since I didn't want to wait over a month I called the next day to cancel the order. A side note, I got the same table for $150 less and delivered in 1 week from Overstock.com.
The following is a string of dealings with Wayfair: Called to cancel within 24 hours, their policy states 48 hours for a full refund. Gentleman who helped me was nice and said he processed the cancellation and the hold would be removed from my account. I then get an email saying I cannot cancel my order because it was outside of the 48 hour window and I would still be charged. I called back and the female who helped me was nice and apologetic and promised everything was ok and the hold would be removed from my account. I call back again days later since the hold is still on my account and I am ensured it will be removed by another customer service rep. It was in fact removed the next day only to be put back on the following day....
I then get an email saying my item is ready for shipping! I call them to ensure it does not ship as it was cancelled a week ago and asked why it was still being processed. Of course the hold is still on my account so I want to make sure they don't charge me and ship the item. The lady I spoke with said she will make sure it doesn't get delivered and will remove the hold on my account, notice a trend here! Believe it or not, my item shipped! I called again and they tried to tell me that once shipped, the items cannot be returned. After some "investigating" on their part and reviewing the multiple notes on my calls they send another email basically stating they normally charge but will be so kind to not charge me this time.... Of course, they said the hold will also be removed from my account.
That brings me to today and they removed the hold but the only problem is they turned the hold into an actual charge! Yes, charged my account the full amount. I call again to see what the hell happened and get told that since it was cancelled after shipping, they charge the card once it ships. I am now blue in the face telling them it should never have shipped as I cancelled it a week earlier and spoke to 4 people at this point. I now have a refund for $150, the cost of shipping by the way (maybe from China?). This is only part of the refund since apparently they refund in different increments and not at once. Still waiting on the rest of the money to be returned. This was a long story that may be difficult to follow but yes the twilight zone is real.
