My job offered this program and I very quickly got rid of it. I have NO idea why ANYONE would continue to use their services. First, the pricing is insanely inflated - want a computer that retails for $600? On PP, you can buy that computer for $1100! Or how about a $300 coffee maker? Yeah! But that's not the bad part. When I had my account, it was compromised and hacked - some random person changed the number and email on my account and tried to order a bunch of stuff. They locked the account due to all the activity and canceled all my orders (and the hacker's). Okay, this is sensible.
But getting my account back was a NIGHTMARE. After 3 weeks, 6 calls, 2 supervisors, I was finally got my account back. Initially, they sent a security reset to an email I provided AND CC'D THE HACKER ON IT! WHAT! So I had to wait for a supervisor and explain this was BAD. What does she tell me? "We can only send the security reset to the email on file." This means they can only send the reset to the person who hacked my account. Absurd. It took three other representatives until I got someone who understood that this makes no sense. Finally, they reset the information and told me to expect my reset in 3-5 business days. 4 days later, I decide to try their live support chat - miraculously, the support rep was able to fix my account in 20 minutes.
By the way, all of PP's solutions take an arbitrary 3-5 business days. So I finally get my account back. I try to reorder some gifts for my granddaughter's birthday (which was at this point 3 weeks belated). PP cancels the order one hour later. When I called, they said they could not disclose WHY it was canceled (I had plenty of money on the account and everything was valid). She just kept repeating, "There can be many reasons for an order review to be denied." Over and over like Rubio during the Republican primaries. So she tells me she will submit a request to approve my order, and that it will take... 3-5 business days! I tried ordering again - canceled. I gave up. Closed my account. I'm done. Thanks, Purchasing Power. TL;DR DON'T BOTHER.

I purchased a HP laptop from you in March of 2017. Since I owned it, it has been amazingly slow at getting on the internet and opening at startup. I thought it was just a minor issue. I contact HP about this and they had me run diagnostic test and they even got on computer and started they could not find any reason for it to run slow. I contacted PurchasingPower and the guy I spoke with told me to go through my warranty with SquareTrade. I contact them and denied my claim. I was then contacted by them and they stated to go to retailer that I purchased it from because I received a defective laptop. No one will honor my warranty or replace a $800.00 laptop. Someone has to man up to this and repair, replace, or refund my money for this.

I have used this company many times purchasing thru my job via payroll deduction for several years now. In FEB 2018 I purchased from them an UNLOCKED SAMSUNG GALAXY 8 NOTE phone can be used anywhere. Well I purchased for a birthday present, never opened box until yesterday when went into a Verizon store in Glen Allen VA. The store manager turned on the phone for the 1st time and was in Spanish, he changed to English and proceeded to ask me where I got the phone from. I told him Purchasing Power. He ran the s/n number and stated he could not use the phone with Verizon stores/contracts. It was not recognized. I pulled up Purchasing Power website where I bought it and showed it to him. He said he couldn’t do anything w/ the phone for me. His name was Jhonatan ** Store Manager 804-655-0770.
I felt like a complete idiot. I paid Purchasing Power $57.46 / payment* Item Price: $1,493.99 total price of this phone to them. I called Purchasing Power and spoke to SHANTELL ** SUPERVISOR and she would not accept a return and to do anything in my case told me to call Samsung. I called Samsung spoke to JUDAH 888-987-4357 AGENT ** which goes to our call we had and because PURCHASING POWER PURCHASED AN INTERNATIONAL PHONE they could not assist me at all, they only service US Samsung purchases. I then called back to Purchasing Power and spoke to SHEMAR another supervisor and there again was nothing they could do. Stated since past their return policy 14/30 days could not take back.
It wouldn’t matter the return policy they have is only set up for Purchasing Power, how would you EVER check the phone if you cannot OPEN the BOX regardless?? DAMAGED or DEFECTIVE, but you'd never know if anything is DEFECTIVE until you turn it on and it’s not that the phone is DEFECTIVE it's not made for the United States. Whomever the VENDOR they purchased it from to resell it at a much HIGHER COST is FRAUD, misleading the consumer into purchasing an item that cannot be used unless you are living in CHINA. Juhad at Samsung told me it's unlocked for China not US. So I was mislead, baited their description was false and misleading advertising, my character was questioned by the person I gave it to as a present and at the Verizon store which was public humiliation to myself and him and deformation of my character as a person. I have pictures however they will not upload.

I placed an order in the first week of December 2015 with PurchasingPower (PP). This was a Christmas gift for my son. I submitted all required documents and after making the purchase I waited several days for an email confirmation. After almost a week I contacted PP and they informed me that everything was in order and that the item had shipped. Several days later after not receiving the email confirmation, I contacted them again and was again informed that the item had shipped. Around the 21st of December I again contacted PP and was told that the item was no longer available and that they had made a mistake. The order was cancelled and I was given a 20% discount on any future purchase. At that time I cancelled my allotment.
About a month later I received a letter from PP stating that I was delinquent on my payment. I contacted PP and the representative stated that I was delinquent on my first month payment. After advising her that the order was cancelled and that I never received the item because it was no longer available, she apologized and again stated that I would receive a discount for any inconvenience.
After two years I decided to give them another try. I contacted them directly via live chat prior to making any purchase. I was told by the rep that my discount was documented and that they would be happy to apply it. HOWEVER, I’m order for it to be applied I would first have to purchase the item and then after receiving confirmation, I would need to contact them back so that they could go in and manually apply the discount. I informed the rep that I would not make the purchase unless the discount was applied directly at the time of purchase and he stated that he could not do that. I did not make the purchase and after reading some of the negative reviews I’m glad I didn’t. I’m certain the discount would have never been applied. Do not use this business!

I ordered a LG 65" UHD LED 120 hz tv through Purchasing Power. It was only a couple hundred more than Amazon had it listed for. Plus there was a discount which took off the cost of shipping. That was June 19th. I was told that the item shipped on June 21st from Miami, FL. I live in St. Charles, MO (about 25 miles west of St. Louis). I figured I'd have the tv soon. On June 26th, the tv was delivered to Breckenridge Hills (11 miles from my home). I called SAIA Freight company and they told me that the item was handed off to a company called NONSTOP DELIVERY and that this company had been contracted by PURCHASING POWER to deliver the item to me.
I figured that within the next two days, I'd be notified by NONSTOP DELIVERY and they would schedule a time for delivery. That didn't happen. On June 29th, I called PURCHASING POWER and was informed that the item was en route to NONSTOP DELIVERY'S NEXT TERMINAL in KANSAS CITY (4 HOURS AWAY/WEST). NONSTOP DELIVERY has the wrong phone number for me and they won't respond to my calls nor emails. How are they going to schedule anything for me?
When you call, you can wait for an hour and you keep getting prompted to make a selection to have someone call you back (it never happens). PURCHASING POWER, when confronted with all of this information, seems to think that there is nothing wrong with collecting my payments (first due on July 6th and every two weeks thereafter) even though I don't have the item. According to them, I'd be in "breach of contract" if I stopped them from collecting. This seems like it will be a legal situation. I don't need a TV this bad and I'm not paying for something that they don't care about me seemingly never getting. ***BUYERS BEWARE***
UPDATE ON 07/14/2018: After I posted here, someone from Purchasing Power reached out to me. An escalation specialist named DeAnthony. She was very kind. She wanted to ensure that Nonstop Delivery scheduled my TV for delivery. She called and got someone on the line instantly. As you may recall, I tried endlessly via phone and email with no response. We were all on the line at the same time. This was July 3rd. We scheduled delivery for July 7th. DeAnthony even applied an additional 15% off credit to the account/order. I was happy that this was finally going to be over.
On July 7th, it turns out that Nonstop Delivery had contracted another local delivery company to bring the merchandise to me. Someone knocked on my door. They had called saying they’d be arriving shortly. When I opened the door, the first thing the delivery guy said to me was,”I’m going to keep it 100 with you — the TV is broke.” I asked him to elaborate on what I had feared. He took me to the delivery truck and showed me the package. The exterior box had a gaping hole in the front and the interior box had another hole of the same variety. The screen was shattered. Visibly shattered. They told me that they are contractually obligated to deliver it anyway, but that I could refuse. I did.
I went back inside and fired up an email to Purchasing Power stating that I wasn’t waiting another three weeks to get a replacement TV. They “tried” to expedite the shipping of the replacement TV by cutting out all the parties that would be handling the delivery and having only NONSTOP DELIVERY handle it. I was told I’d be getting another discount. None of those things happened. As a matter of fact, PURCHASING POWER removed the previous discount I had been given. I relent. I no longer have it in me to fight with this company. I took money out of my savings and I will purchase the TV through either Amazon or Walmart. If you want a never ending headache, then make the same mistake I did. Otherwise, BUYERS STAY AWAY!!!

PurchasingPower has it pros and cons but more cons than pros. They say they don't charge interest but their prices are very inflated. I found a shaving kit on their site for a little over $80. I stumbled upon the exact shaving kit on the maker's website and it was $25. I asked to return the item to PurchasingPower and they charged $35 for shipping!!! I asked if I could return it on my own and pay the cost myself because I knew it would be cheaper and I was told no. They already processed the return and the shipping label was being sent. This happened within a matter of minutes. After I finish paying off my purchases, I will not order anything else from them. Not worth it.

I paid for a vacation to Orlando Florida through Purchasing Power. I am suppose to email my travel dates to HotelBlox at least a month in advance. They should email back my confirmation code. The first time I emailed them my dates they emailed back in one day stating I needed to choose another date because July is no longer available. By the way my dates were July 31-August 3. I emailed them right back with only August dates and have not heard anything back. It has been a week now and I have called 3 times and can't get an answer about my dates. I find this very strange.
I have read many emails about bad service with this company & some people even said they were scammed. I hope this is not the case because I can't afford to give my hard earned money away. I'm going to keep trying to contact them but if I don't hear anything back I may have to seek legal action. If anyone has had a similar experience please post and let me know what your outcome was.

I ordered a dryer on April 1st and received a call on April 16th that they would deliver the dryer the next day between 7 and 11 am so I took the following day off and the dryer never came. I contacted PP and they instructed me to call GE. GE then informed me that parts were on backorder until May 17th so I cancelled my order thinking I'd be able to order another dryer. The refund process takes 7 to 10 business days and I was told I wouldn't receive a refund for shipping. This is the second incident. The first one was a remote control powered ride on I bought for my son didn't include the remote in the packing. I was told I'd receive a 5% discount for keeping it or I could return it but there no way for them to send a remote. Each time I was offered a discount I told the manager if I'd been looking for a discount I would have gone to the manufacturer.

My experience with PurchasingPower.com was horrible. I had ordered simple things like movie tickets. That went fine. I ordered some perfume and found it for almost $60 cheaper. I called to see what I needed to do to return the product. I did exactly what I was told except, I paid for the return myself. they received the product back and then I discovered they charged me a fee to return the product??? Did you notice that I said I called before I returned the item? I was never told that there was a "RETURN FEE" what exactly is a return fee anyway?
So I was going back and forth with these no talented, non trained customer service people for almost 8 months trying to find out why I had to pay a RETURN FEE if I paid for the return myself. Finally I just sent the $40.60 in check form to the company. They continued to call me. On the last call, I informed them that I mailed in a check. I spoke to Kanisha **, who informed me that the check was received but takes about 7-10 days to clear, that was in February 2018. Today, April 26, 2018 I get an email about the same $40.60. I called to inquire, now they are saying that Kanisha's notes doesn't say that they received the check. It just says it takes about 7-10 days to clear. Ummmm excuse me, but why would she say it takes 7-10 days to clear, if there was not a check? Sir, that makes NO SENSE. I will never ever ever ever, never purchase another thing from Purchasing Power, nor will I never ever ever never recommend them to anyone!!!

I order a tv and a bed frame in early March. The delivery date was supposed to be March 21st. I called and they said it would not be delivered and told me that I would receive a call within 48 hours to schedule the delivery. They did not call, I called them and they told me that they may call me next week to schedule a delivery. They will likely not call, so I will have to call them only to be told to wait another week for a call. I will not be using this service again after this.

I wanted a Large TV, other e-commerce retailers have it listed around $1450. PurchasingPower had it listed at $1990. Yes you don't have to pay interest, they just deduct it from your paycheck. I am not rich enough to pay $500 more for a TV that I can get elsewhere. Are YOU?

In January I ordered a purse and a tv. I got a shipping alert for the TV and realized it's not what I ordered. I called to have it swapped for the right one and they had to cancel the order. The purse showed up then 2 days later I got a shipping notice on it. I couldn't submit a new order without affecting my allotment until it credited my account. It took them 2 months to credit my account. I went to place the order for the right tv, which is $150 less, and they want me to up my allotment to cover return shipping of the wrong TV I never even laid eyes on.

I have purchased several things from purchasing power mainly for convenience. A TV which went out 1 week after purchase, kids wooden swing set that was missing a lot of screws, nuts and bolts to assemble. I had to purchase different screws and nuts, bolts from home depot cause it would take another 2-4 weeks to receive them. I purchased a lawnmower back in July of 2017. Never used it. Well this year we pull it out of storage shed to use and it won't start. Took it to a repair shop to see why we can't get it going. We were told it's not worth fixing. It needs a motor. The governor in the motor is broken. The shop owner said we could buy a new one for what it would cost to fix. I am very disappointed I have been basically sold several defected items/or items with missing pieces. The customer service people are rude and very unaccommodating.

I have been using this company since 2013. However, I purchased a couch in Nov - it arrived in Dec - and it was damaged upon arrival. I filled out a form with NSD (Non Stop Delivery) a company they use to deliver large items. The couch never made it off the truck, and I am still paying for it as of today 2.23.18. I have live chatted, and called multiple times. Each time they have offered me discounts (non applied yet so far) and they have told me it will be "10 business days" for an adjustment.
I called today and they told me they never filled out the correct paperwork, and they could not send me to an escalation department (even though the last conversation they told me my file was being escalated). They told me it will take 10 business days to fill out this form. From there they told me that I should see an adjustment in another 5 business days. They also told me that they cannot guarantee that I will no longer be charged while awaiting these processes. I have had the same conversation approximately 8 times with different reps.

If I could rate this a 0, I would. I have been using this company for over 4 years. I have always gotten emails from them stating when to take my paycheck deductions down and then to stop them. I was paying them $16/paycheck, then I got the email from them in September 2017 to take it down to $11. I never got an email to stop deductions. In early December 2017, I live chatted with Carlos ** and asked him how much longer I had in paying them. He said my last payment was (conveniently) the day I was speaking with him. I said, "I'm aware that I paid y'all again today, so let me get this straight, my last payment was today, but I have been done with paying y'all for how long?" I said, "According to my calculations, y'all were overpaid, such and such amount." He said he would look into that and get back to me in 24 hours. Did he ever call back? NO!!
I called the company again on December 21, 2017 and spoke to Belkys and she said she would get the check mailed out to me. She said I should receive it in 7-10 business days. I called on the 11th business day which was January 9, 2018 (not counting Christmas or New Years since those are holidays) and I spoke to Godlyn. She said to call back tomorrow if I still hadn't received it. I called back on January 10, 2018 and spoke to Aneisha. She said that it was technically not the 10th business day, because the check was mailed out on December 27, 2017. So, to be clear, it was not 7-10 business days from when I called, but when the check was mailed out! WTF?! So nobody knows how to communicate to their customers anymore?!
Come on Purchasing Power! Get with the program! I waited a few more days and called again. I called on January 17, 2018 and spoke to Atira. I asked her if she could just post the refund directly into my bank account? She said I would need to add the necessary information to my Purchasing Power account and I did that while she was still on the phone and she said that she saw it. She said, "You can expect that in 3-5 business days." I called today January 25, 2018 and spoke to Kizy. I told her I still had not received my refund posted to my account. She said that it was still in processing. I asked her, "So, it's not 3-5 business days from the time I speak with you...it's 3-5 business days when y'all get done doing everything on your end correct?" She said yes. I was so beyond frustrated at this point, I asked to speak to a supervisor.
After 1 hour and 6 minutes on hold, I finally got to speak to a supervisor (Ria). She said that she saw every time I had called and that they mailed me out a check on December 27, 2017, but that they couldn't put anything into my account until their review of what happened was done. I honestly don't even think they mailed a check to me! The supervisor said that if I look at my account, I can see when they mailed my check off and she verified my address. I was looking at my Purchasing Power account as I was speaking with her and there was nothing for me to verify that it was sent to me. I told the supervisor I have been more than patient with them and that this is very ridiculous.
I can understand having to track down your check to see what happened to it, but to punish me in the process for almost 2 freaking months!!! This is ridiculous! They are quick to take payment, but they sure as crap don't give it back as quick as they took it! Ria said she would get back to me in 24-48 hours, I verified that she meant business days and of course she did. She said she would put a rush on this and see if they can track down what happened to the check. I guess we will see how much longer it takes for them to get their crap together and get me my refund.

A trampoline, there are so many things I buy!! Without this company I wouldn't be able to buy any of this stuff! I purchased a item on the Purchasing Power website and then immediately decided to cancel the order right after. On the website, it clearly states that “a order can be cancelled before the order status says processed”. While I attempted to cancel the order, the order status was “pending” which means I should of been able to cancel my order, only there was absolutely no option anywhere at all to cancel my order. I called customer service and the wait time was about 40 minutes so I decided to opt for the call back option instead. I then contacted them directly through their live chat expecting them to rectify this situation and cancel my order.
The first guy I talk to told me that there is no way possible for them to cancel a order that has been processed, so I explained to him that I tried to cancel the order before it was processed and while it was still pending, he then lied to me and told me that you can’t cancel a order while it is pending or processed. So then I told him that it clearly states in their terms and agreement that you can cancel a order before it had been processed and that the pending status comes BEFORE the processed status. They then avoided my statement and just continute to tell me that they cannot cancel a order, but I can try back in 25-48 hours to cancel it then. So I asked him why can’t he cancel it now but can magically cancel it 2-4 days from now, and he said he would have to put in a request to cancel it but can’t guarantee anything.
So these people want to force me to accept a item I don’t want, pay a return shipping and restocking fee just to return it, and charge me for the first month's payment for the item that I couldn’t cancel in the first place? This makes absolutely no sense at all. These people are crooked and don’t do business right, their customer service is a complete nightmare. I will never even think about doing business with these criminals again ever and I should of listened to all the bad reviews online warning people to stay away from them and all the bad experiences they had with them.

Each time I contact this site, I am told it will take a couple of days. I have been lied to by 3 employees and a supervisor on here and by email. I printed copies of the chat conversations for evidence later on when I have to use it or provide it in court. I want the 20% discount applied immediately or just send me a shipping label so I can return the item at your expense and cancel my membership with you. If this is not done immediately I will be filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the state in which you are licensed, and I will also be contacting my attorney and possibly filing a lawsuit for false and misleading advertisement concerning discounts.
Updated on 12/09/2017: I purchased an item from Purchasing Power on November 2nd and was supposed to get a 20% discount for my first purchase. It took over a month and it took me contacting the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs before they would apply the discount that I was entitled to. The last phone before today, I was told that they finally got an answer from the vendor and I should receive a phone call or email in a few days to set up a delivery time and date for replacement. Well that day hasn't made it yet. That was 10 days ago. Decided to call today just to be told the exact same thing. Waiting for the vendor. AGAIN... "Will contact you in a few days."
How long should I have to wait to get what I'm paying for? This is awful, horrible and should be illegal. They get away with this because it's payroll deducted and they know there is not much you can do to stop the payments. They have no problem taking your money. Just a problem with providing the services you're paying for. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS HORRIBLE PLACE. They should be shut down. I only wish I had checked the reviews before purchasing here. Please save yourself months of hassle and frustration and buy elsewhere. I'm rather go to RAC or a garbage dump first.

I placed an order on October 13th for a 65" LG TV and received it on November 1st broken. Which is fine, it happens. However, when I called right away before the delivery guys even left I was told a new one was being processed to be shipped out immediately and the broken one would be picked up once I received a return shipping label in my email. I then got a voicemail on November 4th saying it was THEN processed to be shipped out and I'd receive a new shipping confirmation email within 7-10 business days.
I checked in a couple times from that date and got a different answer every time I spoke with someone, but the end of every conversation ended with them telling me it was processed and I had to wait until the 10th business day to receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number for the replacement. The 10th business day came and went, so I called only to be told a new TV was never processed to be shipped out and I would not be receiving a replacement as now the TV is sold out. Even though they had the exact same TV on their website available, but with a different skew, so they would not send me that one.
They told me I'd have to wait until the broken one was received back to them before my account was credited again and I'd have to place a new order then, in another 7-10 business days, for the exact same item they have but they wouldn't just send me it as a replacement. The TV they have available with a different skew is even priced less than the broken one I received so it wasn't as if I was asking for a more expensive item either. I am beyond words at this horrible experience and their Customer Service who gave me the run-around for weeks and would never give me direct answers to my questions or even let me know the TV was sold out. Do NOT order from them. It is more trouble than anything.

I placed an order with Purchasing Power on Oct. 30, 2017. I’ve done my due diligence providing paystubs and allotment. I received an email stating they need a previous stub! Ok, I send the stub as they instructed but, every time I called to check the status of my order a rep would always say that they are awaiting my paystub to calculate my annual income. I sent the paystub approximately 5 times and they are still awaiting this paystub lol. I cancelled the allotment today. I think it’s unfair you set up these allotments even before you have the merchandise and they constantly give you the runaround. Hopefully, I don’t get a runaround about my money from this allotment I cancelled. I wouldn’t recommend PP to anyone nor will I ever attempt an order from there. Seems to me like a scam!

I've worked retail for 20+ years and never would I expect a paying customer to go through the hassle of trying to obtain the product they are wanting like Purchasing Power has made me do over a baby monitor. I attempted to order the Vtech Safe & Sound Digital Audio Monitor that comes with 2 parenting devices. On 3 different occasions it came with 1 parenting device. Each time the vendor sent me a different model than what Purchasing Power has displayed on their site. Purchasing Power refusing to take responsibility, each time I've called I've asked them to call the vendor to make sure they send the right product and they simply reply that they will note my account and forward an email whatever that means.
I talked to Andre from Purchasing Power on 10/19 who stated a manager would contact me regarding the 3rd mis-shipment only to have Andre call me back the same day to inform me that I can either return it or exchange it. Why do I have to keep driving to the UPS office to drop off a package repeatedly to return it to a company who can't pick up the phone to call a vendor to take care of a paying customer? A company whose management can't even return a phone call? The inconvenience of having to drive over and over again to return a product simply because you cannot make a simple call to your vendor and frankly it's false advertising on Purchasing Power's end.

I ordered a desk for my son the last week of July for school. The freight tracking told me the item was at the station closest to my house on a Tuesday. On Friday no calls to schedule delivery were made. I called on Monday to check on it. They tell me they didn't have anyone to deliver because most of the staff was sick. How unprofessional is that? The item was FINALLY delivered Aug 17th and looked like it went through war. It looked like someone dropped this 100lb item flat on one side and flipped it over just to drop it on the other side. It had broken open and was taped back together. The person I had stay at home for me for delivery signed and marked damaged. I checked it that evening after work and it was completely ruined.
I spoke with Purchasing Power the next day. After apologies and telling me that they will send a new desk with extra packing, they tell me that I should be there to receive it so I can send it back. I politely let her know that I work Monday to Friday to pay my bills and will not be taking off to wait for anything. She said that there will be an email confirmation that the new desk was ordered and on its way. 3 weeks later, nothing. I call Purchasing Power back two weeks after the initial call to return and was told that nothing was reordered and if I wanted to cancel, I had to pay the return freight cost ($89). I forgot to mention I have been paying for this desk since July, school started in August, and my son still has no desk. In September, after losing my complete cool with the corporate office did my desk get ordered.
Now, I'm paying for 2 DESKS until the old desk gets picked up. No one calls from this ridiculous freight company to pick this up. I'm calling every week for updates. OCTOBER 6TH I get a call from the freight company saying they will pick it up Saturday October 7th between 7am and 11am. I ask can they pick it up later because we have plans and cannot change them this short notice. I was told no and I have to call back on Monday to reschedule with them. Needless to say the order for pickup is no longer in their system on Monday!?!?! After calling PP and the freight because I have nothing but time to make outside calls at work, I get a call from the freight company on Friday Oct. 13th for a delivery of the new desk. Once again, I get 1 day notice that it will delivered on Saturday October 14th but there is STILL no order to pick up this damaged desk.
I called PP corporate office again and spoke to Charese at 10am to ask her to put a new order in with Brooklyn at the freight company who is waiting on her call. Charese tells me that she will call Brooklyn and will send me an email confirmation once it's done and/or call me. It NEVER happened. I could not get in touch with the corporate office the rest of the day. Today the 14th, the new desk was delivered with no order for pickup. Both the freight and PP are closed for calls. I'm paying for two DESKS and have been paying for once since July and the other since September. NEVER AGAIN will these people get a dime out of me when this is FINALLY OVER. I would have given them zero stars if I could. There is no protection for the consumer. Customer service is a joke. This freight company that they are using is ridiculous.

I asked for refund on 1 return shipping fee and I was told no! By 3 people. Needless this was my 1st & last order from them.

I give thanks to Raquel at PurchasingPower. She was very professional, nice and articulate, I tried hard to find something wrong with her to no avail, her attitude was great and not one hint of an attitude in her voice. I ordered a replacement for the damaged love seat that I complained about in September they credited me for the paid offed item, it went towards my account. MY WIFE IS VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS AND THE SECTIONAL it's her favorite spot now, I can honestly say they have been good to me with very few complaints, 2 maybe with the last being the big one in the 9 or 10 years I have purchased their items. There are a lot of competition these days for consumers and PurchasingPower with the employment of someone like Raquel is a good move for them, it was a smooth transaction (operator lol) pleasant experience and surprise. If there is a problem ask for her.

I have been with PurchasingPower.com since 2008, I have spent over $33,000. I bought a couch from Sofa Kraze and within 9 months it was cracking. I called Purchasing Power. They told me I had no warranty, I told them I have a 1 year factory warranty, they told me I would have to contact the company myself. I asked for the number and was put on hold for 30 minutes! I tried to find a site on the internet, there is a site but no way to contact them. I can't believe this company would do this to me, after being soooo loyal and referring many co workers and friends. This is a eye opener, well the site is down. I cannot retrieve my account number but I am a verified buyer X 33,000!

I put one star, because if there were negative stars, I'd put the lowest. I have used Purchasing Power a few times through my work in the past. You order through them, and the payments are automatically taking out of your paycheck each month until paid off. I had noticed last year, the payments stopped from coming out of my paycheck, but I still had a balance. I tried several times to contact PP to correct this problem. They always said they would call me back.
Months go by, then Feb of this year, payments were beginning to come out of my paycheck to them. The amount being taken out was almost double what was being stated on the statement on their site. I complained. I showed proof from my paystub to their statement. This was not resolved. I cannot stop payment from my side of things. I am literally paying double or maybe even triple what I owe. And there's nothing I can do about it. I will never use this company again. They are crooks. They are worse than Fingerhut. I do not recommend them to anyone... not even to someone I don't like. Called them to complain because it had just been 6 months since it had been purchased. Been told that it had not been covered by warranty but it's covered by manufacturer's warranty for only 6 months. Didn't know about that. Told me I will be emailed regarding info of my replacement sofa. They responded only after 4 days telling me to take pictures of the damages. I did what was told and emailed it to them only to receive a response again after 4 days that the manufacturer didn't agree to replace the sofa because it's caused by wear and tear! What the heck! It was just 6 months new and it got torn already.
The person who I spoke to even told me that it was purposefully torn! My goodness! The amount of the living room set is even higher than when you bought it from an actual store! I just got it because it's more affordable for me to be taken out as installment payments from my paycheck. I am so disappointed!! Definitely not recommend them to other people!! So bad!! We had purchased a cruise through Purchasing Power several months ago. Apparently they use HotelBlox as their booking agent. We never heard a thing from anyone about the cruise being booked. We called and called and could get no one to return calls or if they did answer - maybe a couple of times - they said they had to call us back which never happened. The week before our cruise we discovered that it was never booked. That was the week of Spring Break - there was no way to get on that cruise at that point. Again we waited for a call. Finally we got a call from the Loss/Litigation department who told us that someone had embezzled money and not booked our cruise. Funny, I read the exact review as mine in January. So if they knew someone had embezzled in January, why wasn't everyone affected taken care of? Another Lie?
We were then told we would be booked on another cruise going out of Florida and they would pay for air fare and upgrades on the ship. They never paid for that cruise. It came down to two days before the trip when they finally booked a cruise going out of Galveston. They refused to pay for air fare and at that point couldn't get any upgrades. These were not the destinations we had planned to go to either. They paid for our parking and put $50 on our ship account. Just throw us a bone and try to look like the good guys. So the vacation of a lifetime for us because we had raised 5 children and couldn't afford it in the past, turned into a nightmare because of HotelBlox. The very least they should do to make their error correct is book us at their expense to the destinations we originally planned to go to with an upgraded room. Or they could even have given us half off of this one instead of throwing us that bone.
But they are obviously not an honest company. Reading the reviews now, they don't have a good review that I have found. They have ruined many vacations and should no longer be in this business. I just want others to be able to read my horror story and use another booking agent. I don't want others to go through this which they inevitably will since they don't seem to fix their mistakes. I would hope that Purchasing Power would get smart and use another booking agent as well. Moral of this story is to NEVER use HotelBlox and if Purchasing Power continues with them, NEVER book a vacation through Purchasing Power.

Giving this company the benefit of the doubt my husband and I decided to purchase a couch including ottoman back at the end of November 2016, November 28th to be exact. We received our confirmation email regarding our purchase and when we would expect the items to be shipped. On December 22nd we received a call from NonStop Delivery that our order would be delivered that evening. Immediately as the delivery crew was unloading our order we recognized that the ottoman was missing. The delivery crew immediately got on the phone with their supervisor to figure out what happened. Unfortunately they were unable to give us much information other than we were suppose to receive 4 pieces but they were only provided 3 pieces from Purchasing Power. We attempted to reach Purchasing Power that evening but it was late and we were unable to reach anyone.
The following morning we called Purchasing Power to find out when we could expect our final piece. They claimed to not know why all pieces weren't accounted for and stated we needed to reach back out to NonStop Delivery, so we did. This went on for a few days with each company shifting blame. Finally NonStop Delivery provided us with a report that they did in fact only receive 3 pieces from Purchasing Power. With that information we again contacted Purchasing Power, at this time two weeks have passed. They stated they would request a replacement ottoman from Myco and we should receive confirmation. NOTHING!!!
So again, we called. And called. And called. None of the reps or supervisors with Purchasing Power were helpful with any information or updates, only providing poor excuses. Here we are 8 weeks after receiving our couch and still no ottoman. We are absolutely frustrated with this whole ordeal especially since we are currently paying for an incomplete order. Purchasing Power never calls the customer to follow up or return calls when they are dropped. They seemingly have made no attempts in resolving our issue and still claim that the ottoman will be here soon. I would NOT recommend this company and will never use them again.

By the end of October and after three calls to customer service, it was clear the furniture was not coming. I asked to have the open order canceled and my money refunded. It took four more calls to customer service and three supervisors during the month of November to finally cancel the account and stop the payroll deduction.
I was told I would receive a refund within ten days. That was nearly three weeks ago. To date, no refund check for more than $220 owed to me has arrived for the furniture I never received from an order placed five months ago. I called again today and was placed on hold for 35 minutes. My company sent out e-mails about PurchasingPower, so I thought I'd look into it. A few of my coworkers ordered from the site and had no issues. So I decided why not, I need a new TV and this way I can pay it out instead of having to pay all at once. On June 10, 2016 I placed the initial order. Just 4 days later I received an e-mail stating that my order had been shipped, and yet when I clicked on the tracking number, it showed that it was still being processed/preparing to ship. After a week of no updates, I did the live chat with a customer service representative. I was told that they don't send out shipping e-mails until the product is being shipped, am I sure that is what the e-mail said. I then sent her a copy of the e-mail. She acted like she couldn't be bothered with this, and stated that the product was still being processed and she did not have a ship date yet.
2 more weeks went by with still no update. Again, I got in touch with Customer Service. THIS time, I was told that there was an error on the vendor end that was keeping the product from shipping. The original order, which payments for were already coming out of my check, was cancelled and a replacement order was SUPPOSED to have been entered. After yet another week with no information, I again got in touch with Customer Service. The replacement order was never entered. I was sent new information once that order was placed. 2 more weeks went by, still no information! This time when I got in touch with someone, I was livid. I demanded to speak to someone higher up because now I was going on 6 weeks with no information and getting the runaround or getting disconnected when I tried to get information.
I was sent an e-mail from someone, not called, that 15% would be taken off of my order and expressing apologies for the trouble I'd gone through. And the shipping company is not any better. My order status is not regularly updated. Once it got to the Kilgore, TX terminal, the order was effectively LOST! No one that I spoke with could find it!! The order information was then updated that it was in Tyler, TX, which is 30 minutes from me. It has now been a week that my order has been there, but they claim that they could not reach me to schedule delivery. I spoke with someone just today stating that I was now beyond waiting for this order, and to give me an address and I would pick it up myself. I was then informed that with PurchasingPower, you are not allowed to pick up your order. It must be delivered. I will NEVER order from this company again!!!

Almost FOUR weeks later, the package came, but the truck driver wouldn't even unload it from the truck because the packaging was so destroyed that there were visible chunks taken out of the wood. I refused the package and called the company immediately, thinking they would be apologetic and try to make the situation better... I thought wrong. The woman I talked to did nothing to make up for the fact that my package was destroyed, except to resubmit another order. She then continued to state that it would take the same amount of time for the next package to arrive. Mind you, they had already taken a payment out of my check.
Annoyed with the situation, I told her to cancel the order and I would figure something out. Two weeks later, another payment was taken out of my paycheck... for a dining set that I never had. When I called to question, the lady told me "not to worry about my money, it would be refunded" and that it took 7-10 days got the cancellation to go through and then my money would be refunded. Time continued to pass, I received an email that my cancellation had been processed on April 20. This too was supposedly the day they cut a check for the balance they owed me, and the check would take another 7-10 business days to reach me (I learned this because of yet ANOTHER phone call to the company).
Today is May 3rd, and I've still not received the check... so ANOTHER phone call to learn that "there was an error and it had to be resubmitted on Friday, so it will be 7-10 MORE business days". At this point I was furious and asked to speak to someone higher up in the company. I was placed on hold and no one ever answered. I will NEVER purchase anything from this company, and I will be encouraging my co-workers not to either.

I called a few times and was told that the computer was getting shipped soon or on its way. Emailed a few times which no one ever responded to. Christmas came and went with no box under the tree! I cannot express enough how poor customer service is. They don't respond to emails. The laptop ordered showed up weeks after I canceled it in late January and continued to take money out of my paycheck. When you call, there are lots of finger-pointing going on and no accountability. Don't count on apologies since no one will take ownership of the neglect or error on their end.
I kept on giving them an opportunity to correct their mistakes. I just wanted my mother to have her Christmas present! They're really not interested in correcting problems because they already make enough money in the business to not care. So imagine actually having a product with a problem? Think you'll get it resolved with the kind of customer service they have? I don't think so.

I called to complain and was advised that the system did not deduct this amount because of a glitch in the system. Apparently if you do not purchase your item from the website banner on then you will not receive the discount. This is not mentioned advertisement email. I was on hold for an hour when trying to reach a Customer Advocate to address my concerns.
When I finally reached someone, they said the codes I used were now expired, then placed me on hold to speak with a manager who never answered the call and then after another 30 minutes, he or she disconnected the call. I am a slow learner. My experience has consisted of a hutch for a desk being sent to Indiana (I live in GA) by Office Depot with my name and contact information. I was contacted by the delivery people and had a hard time explaining to them I was in GA and not Indiana. In addition, items I ordered at Christmas were either delivered after Christmas or Purchasing Power had to cancel the order because their supplier ran out of the item with no time for me to obtain them elsewhere. Now, a washer and dryer were to be delivered today by Sears during a specified two-hour time frame which did not happen. I was going to be paying a large sum for these items and they (Sears) are going to tell me when they will deliver it and I am to be at their beck and call. Think not! I left for work and told my child to refuse shipment.
I then called the 1-800# for Purchasing Power and got a call center in the Philippines. I think the call center for Sears was also out of the country. I have also made two payments on this order. I must also mention the delivery truck showed up one hour late. The delivery people did not apologize for being late. In addition, the delivery people were to call one hour before the estimated delivery time in case they were running late which did not happen. I called the Sears 1-800# when the deadline for delivery was five minutes away and spoke with someone who was to contact the delivery people and tell them not to deliver the items and that they would be refused if they tried. I then notified Purchasing Power and spoke with ** in Manila who was to take care of canceling this order. My daughter is a corrections officer (poorly paid with no raise in sight) and wanted to get my granddaughter an Apple ProBook for graduation. She called me to see if PurchasingPower.com was a good deal since she could have it taken out of her check and her coworkers had used it. It's impossible to do anything without an account, but anyone can apparently set up one with little background.
The computer she wanted (Apple ProBook with 4GB memory, 2.5GHZ i5 processor, and 500GB hard drive) was $1918 ($180 per month) with a 2 year warranty through them. On the Apple Store, the same computer with 8GB memory and Apple Protection is $1348. That means that PurchasingPower.com is charging at least 45% interest! On top of that the Apple Store has financing through Barclay's Bank with immediate approval and 18 months of free interest ($75 a month).
When I was an officer in the Air Force, it was common for enlisted airman with limited resources to be taken advantage of by off-base businesses which would sell them stuff at outrageous interest rates. This is the same scam upgraded to be online with a wider audience. Do not use them! You can find the same thing at a better price without paying high interest rates.

In the meantime I made arrangements with a customer service rep who informed me that the website was incorrect and there were no 17" touch screens. I made arrangements to get a 15" touch screen instead. I was sent ANOTHER 17" non-touch screen. Payments had already begun to be removed from my account. I was unable to return the laptops because at Office Depot, when they tried to scan it at the store it said they were already en route. The UPS tracking said they were still at Office Depot. They are still in my home.
Another rep called me and I happened to be on vacation the next week so I asked her to have them picked up at my home address, go to the back door, I have a basement apartment. I gave her the address. Their hours of operation end at 9:00 PM EST and I called well in advance of that time only stay on hold in excess of 30 minutes each time and then be treated with an extremely unfriendly experience. On both occasions at exactly 9:00 PM an agent came on the line, acting as a recording, stating that they were closed and to call back during normal hours. I knew it was a person, because I could hear laughing in the background and when pressed, they would try to sound like a recording again and mumble through their message.
What a terrible practice. I then awoke at 5:00 AM PST so that I could call first thing, asked for a supervisor to express my displeasure only to have the agent, Angela, argue with me. After 10 minutes I was finally connected to Jon, badge **, her supervisor. When I asked to speak to or be given the contact information of someone in charge he refused and said that he would escalate to his corporate office. When pressed on when I would hear back he stated within the day.

I've searched online for a corporate number and the contact information I can find is the customer service number, which based on my previous experiences is useless. Complete incompetence and total run around, no one there seems to be able to give you any info regarding procedures or products. I would be closing on my home today, yet PP has ruined that. When my lender asked for a payment history (accounts receivable report) from PP to add strength to my loan for underwriting I called PP immediately (9/15/14). The clerk said it would take three business days to receive BY EMAIL, but she would expedite it. She didn't seem confident in the procedure, but I remained calm. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she dodged me, wouldn't connect me, and wouldn't transfer me to the appropriate department to fulfill my request directly. I let it go and called back the next day (9/16/14) - same run around, same lack of confidence and customer service always ending in the supervisor being unavailable and unable to transfer me to the correct department and always ending the call with "There is nothing I can do." She could not explain the process to me and again said she would expedite and "You should get it on Wednesday (9/17/14) or Thursday (9/18/14) by email." It did not come.
I called several times on Thursday (9/18/14) and although each clerk acknowledged my original request on Monday had not yet been processed I was told that since they close at 9pm EST "There was still time to send it"... Then I was told that it wouldn't come until AFTER three business days and to expect it on Friday (today) or by postal mail. I wasn't rude, but I got really stern: First, my request from three business days prior had not been processed, but with hours left on their 9pm business day they could still process and send the email?! Really? If processing and delivery could be that fast, then why should it take three days? If I stopped the draft from my payroll they would email me immediately; what if I made them wait three business days to send an email back about that?!
PP showed a lack in customer service by giving me the run around, not being able to explain their policies and procedures, refusing to allow me to speak with a supervisor, or transferring me directly to the billing department. It should not take three business days to send an email... especially for an expedited request. Needless to say when I relayed my experiences to my loan officer who told me, most professionally, "We will not be able to close without it, I'm sorry." Granted, I wished they asked for the history sooner, but that's underwriting. So now I have missed out on buying a home and will now lose my earnest money deposit along with the dream of homeownership.

Purchasing Power's interest rates vary from 60 to 95%: Beware of Purchasing Power's blatant lies. Their catalog claims that you would pay more on your credit card to finance through a credit card (18% to 25%). Blatant lie. Check the actual cost of their products to begin with.
For example, they are selling a 3rd-generation 32G iPod for $505 with the same bells and whistles that you get from Apple for $299, only the one you would get from Apple is a 4th generation. So you will actually pay $206 more for an older generation iPod. If you were to finance this $299 purchase from the Apple store on your credit card for a year at a high rate of 25%, you'd pay $42.01 in interest. That would be $341.01. Yet, Purchasing Power wants you to believe you're getting a good deal by charging you $206 over the actual purchase price for this item which is actually worth less than the one you'd get at the Apple store because it is only 3rd generation, not 4th.
