This is by far the worst company I have ever come across in my life. Customer Support (Service), is simply pointless. I placed an order my money was taken out of my account and at the same time my order was cancelled with no information on the reason why? I would not recommend this company to anyone save yourself the headache. I forgot to mention after they stole my money, I had to wait 3-5 days to receive a refund of which I’m still waiting on. If I could I would give this company zero stars. Order at your own risk

I didn't know that this was a government agency, so I canceled my order and requested a refund. It had been 4 weeks now and I'm getting the run around about it. I can't speak to anyone who speaks or understands English. **

I have Purchasing Power through my job. I recently changed my cell phone number which it’s always been in my spouse name so now they are saying that my personal cell has to be in my name and they can’t verify my account so I can’t make any purchases. The previous cell phone number I had before I changed it was under my spouse name and they was allowing me to make purchases. When I call customer service they ask for the last 4 of my social security and it says thank you for verifying your identity. So I’m not understanding why a cell home number will stop me from ordering. Then you can’t speak to a manager! I even went to my HR manager and they don’t understand why?

Their policies awful. I am still paying for a hotel when I had to cancel my trip. They have already taken 700 dollars out of my checks. I have called emailed since march. No one is helpful at all. I shouldn't have to pay for services I did not receive.

Purchasing Power is charging $639 for a ninja slushy five and one machine which is retailing at $269 so their price gouging which is illegal. I enjoy purchase power because you can make payments to your payroll, but the price is just ridiculous.

I ordered 2 sofas and an armchair. UPS left it outside, when instructed to place them under my front covered porch. Well boxes are soaked from the rain with damage. I contacted customer service, and they stated I need to bring to the nearest UPS store for a return. Unfortunately, the boxes are very heavy, cannot lift and will not fit in my hatchback even if I tried. Well, apparently that is there only option in order to either credit me or provide me with a full refund. I offered to provide photos but nope... Not an option. Worst company ever. I ordered Christmas gifts early so I can be done with gifts and this is what I have to deal with. Not happy at all and will never order from them again.

I came looking to give a review for this company and to see all the reviews that are here. It makes so much sense. How are they still in business. One of the worst customer service ever. Can't wait to pay off my balance and close the account. Rip off. Stay away. It may be convenient purchasing items but the support... good luck. Stay away.

My name is Kim ** and I work for Montefiore Information Technology. I have been a long-time loyal customer for over 9 years since I first became employed at Montefiore and purchasing items through Purchasing Power was provided to me as an employee benefit. I have completed all my payments in a timely manner and never had any previous issues with a return or any items that I purchased. Until now… Here is a chronological order of my experience with a recent order that I placed on August 14, 2025, and what has occurred since that purchase:
1) Monday, Aug 25 – TV was delivered by BTX Global; we inspected the box for any damage and seeing none, we accepted the delivery. 2) Friday, Aug 29 – My son installed the TV and discovered that there appeared to be damage on the screen (not visible on the actual tv but within the screen itself). Contacted Samsung support via text as this was Labor Day weekend and we were told to go back to the vendor, Purchasing Power. A. Case #** (Samsung). 3) Tuesday, Sept 2 – Contacted Purchasing Power after the Labor Day holiday and was told that I needed to submit a claim to Allstate Protection Plan. Submitted Claim #**. 4) Wednesday, Sept 10 – Received a response from Allstate Protection Plans that my claim was denied and I was advised to contact Samsung, the manufacturer, as the product should be covered by them since it was within 30 days of the delivery date.
5) Thursday, Sept 11 – Contacted Samsung via phone this time and spoke to Joff who had me send him pictures of the damaged screen. Joff also said that based on the pictures this damage would not be covered by them as it appeared to have occurred during shipment. I had him put that in writing to share with Purchasing Power. Case #**. 6) Friday, Sept 12 – I contacted Purchasing Power and this time I spoke to Lesley and explained that I was told to come back to them by Samsung. A. Lesley followed up with management at Purchasing Power and this is when I was told that because I did not open the box and install it within 48 hours and report the damage at that time, they could not replace the TV or cover any repair, etc. I was advised to go back to Allstate Protection Plan.
7) Tuesday, Sept 16 – I contacted Allstate Protection Plan again via phone (since I was told that I could not submit a new claim) and spoke to Larry who advised me that once again there was nothing they could do since it was still within 30 days of the delivery date and to go back to Purchasing Power. 8) Thursday, Sept 18 thru Thursday, Oct 2 – I spoke multiple times to Lesley at Purchasing Power who escalated my request at least twice with ‘Purchasing Power Management’ and I was told that my claim was denied twice. I requested that this be put in writing, and she advised that I contact Allstate Protection Plan again since it was now well past 30 days. 9) Tuesday, Oct 7 – I spoke to Vassana at Allstate Protection Plan who told me that their protection plan did NOT cover any damage that occurred within the first 30 days as that should be covered by either the manufacturer or the company that delivered/provided the product, aka Purchasing Power.
10) Wednesday, Oct 8 – I escalated to Lesley at Purchasing Power and requested that a Manager or Supervisor contact me; I was told that someone would talk to me within 24 hours as part of a new process they had implemented that included a ‘Request Form’. A. I also requested the phone number and contact information so that I could stop payment as I have been paying for a TV for over 30 days that I cannot use. B. Lesley also gave me the name of the delivery company and the tracking number as I plan to contact them next but I do not expect to receive any satisfaction from pursuing that route since the box was delivered undamaged and we did sign for it.
At this time I simply either want a new TV to replace the damaged one or my money back. Plain and simple.

While they seem convenient, it's truly not. They hike the price up x2 and I would never use them for travel again. If you have any emergency situation and can't make the reservation or need to move the reservation they will not change your booking or assist in any way. They will keep your money and leave you to figure things out. They do not care about their consumers only the dollar and they're getting over on people.

Making me pay for something I don’t have. They denied my case right off the back even when I asked for them to send them proof of the item I got so I could get a refund or replacement. Then months after that is why they want to look into my case when I have stuff dealing with. I am not going out of my way when I tried to at the beginning asking for a replacement instead of a refund.

I will never purchase anything ever again. I spent nearly $5,000 with this company on a few items for my home. In less than a year a Samsung Microwave I purchased with a 3 year warranty plus a year warranty with the manufacturer also, and neither one helped with repairs or replacements. I was told to call a repair guy and I would be reimburse for my trouble. What a protection plan AllState has which I also Purchased. Thanks Purchasing Scammers opps I mean Power.

I’m trying to solve this “open issue”. The website keeps telling me and nobody is able to help me. If I owe something, let me pay it and resolve this issue so that I can continue to shop for my family! The automated service is telling me my spending limit but I can’t use it because the limit won’t unlock for me to purchase online! This is 10+ years now of no one in customer service helping me to resolve this account issue and not only does it appear I now have two accounts, I’m very dissatisfied as a long time customer!!!!

Updated on 08/27/2025: I believe my order was able to be placed *crosses fingers*.
Original Review: I would give 0* if I could, I recently placed an order and it was cancelled due to an unresolved balance, they give me the phone number for payments team and they say they cannot help me and then explain there's a 16$ charge off so my order cannot be done. I never received the product and I reviewed my paystubs and they did in fact steal 700$ from my paychecks. I either want my 700$ back that you charged me for the product I never received or I will pay the 16 dollars and you fulfill my order. I'm willing to let the 700$ you stole from me previously be forgotten if you just continue with my order otherwise I want my money back. It's ridiculous to even prevent an order from being placed from a 16$ balance from nearly a decade ago when you stole 700$ for a product I never received.

I recently purchased 2 new iPhones from Purchasing Power and both phones came locked, making it unable to be added to my cellphone carrier. I was told to contact the carrier and when they could not help, contact Apple. Both could not help me. I have purchased from Purchasing Power before many times and have never gone through the issues I have incurred. Both phones have been sent back and 2 other phones sent to me within the last 2 weeks. Same issues...although it states you are purchasing unlocked phones, that is not the case. Customer service is no help and I will be sending yet again the phones back and getting a credit to my account. It will be a long time before I purchase anything from Purchasing Power again. I hope this helps some else's before they decide to purchase any iPhone from them.

I've had nothing nothing but great experiences with Purchasing Power. I know I'm paying a higher price...but I don't have to worry about late or missing payments. I have way too much going on in my busy hectic adhd life to want to deal with all that's involved with buying with credit. This is a perfect solution to my personal flaws. Lol. I had one item once that was marked delivered that I did not get. I waited a day or two and I called customer service and they were not only fantastic but my item was actually delivered to my front porch that very day. I've spent thousands of dollars via purchasing power and the payments over time are so small I don't even notice it out of my check. It's an amazing service in my opinion.

I have called several times and have informed customer service about a status change of employment from part time to full time status. I also have paperwork from Human Resources to prove of my status change and notified customer service where it can be emailed or faxed to them. Meanwhile add that I am still and have still been paying off purchases made previously even as a part time employee. I don’t understand what or why I have to keep waiting 1-3 or now 3-5 days to get approved for something I am. You keep getting put on hold during call and don’t get no results or problem solved. As a valuable consumer because I am still paying now you think it would be a care to help. How can I get any help with this matter because nothing eventually works.

I got a washer dryer and a television. I waited two weeks without even finding out anything. I called, and they said it’s en route and it should have been delivered. No one told me I have to call the delivery company and set a schedule for them to come to the house. It was just saying that it had arrived at the airport and it was going to be delivered. That was the only issue I had.
I have used Purchasing Power’s service twice this year, and everything else seemed to be on point, as far as convenience and everything, even with the delivery experience.

I've been using Purchasing Power for years, and I like it. It's very helpful. If I want something I can't afford to pay for, I can go through Purchasing Power and have them take it out of my check. It's a bit more than what I pay in the store, but it's convenient. I’ve purchased several good quality products, and I wanted to return a couple of items, but I wasn’t able to because there’s no return label. But other than that, I have no problems with it.

I learned about Purchasing Power through my job. And I love the process where you get it now but you pay for it over with payments that are directly deducted from your check so you're never late.
I like that it's easy to find anything that you might want to purchase in their site. You just have to click, figure out where it is. The drop-down menus are easy, with all the different categories. It shows you an explanation of what it is. And once you're ready to check out, it gives you the option to pay how quickly or how long you wanna stretch it out. I've used it probably more than I should.
I have booked my hotel to take my grandchildren to Disneyland for the first time. I've bought a TV. I have bought clothing, shoes, and purses. I even bought underwear. You name it, I bought it through them.
I have told coworkers who are now using it that we're living in tough economic times. And if they need something or if they want to get themselves something nice, but they’re not ready to buy it, with Purchasing Power, it's affordable. You pay more but that's the price you pay to get it now and with no credit checks.
Thank you so much, Grace, for taking the time to share your experience with us. We sincerely appreciate your review as it helps us to continue providing the best service possible for our valuable customers.
Kind regards,

Purchasing Power is easy to use. They have a wonderful website and you just go online and look for what you’re looking for. The selection is fabulous and you can basically look for anything that you want or need. It just lays it all out for you. They have affordable payments and options, and there are tracking options there. They normally come through UPS and they email you with the tracking number and the estimated time. It normally comes on time. I've never had a problem where it doesn't come on time.
Sometimes things are almost double the price, but you have to pay for convenience, so it's understandable. The items are high quality and no different than any other place. I bought two iPhones, a Samsung tablet, a microwave, a carpet shampooer, and video games. I’ve bought a lot of stuff through them and they have good options.
