I will no longer sell on eBay because of their ridiculous shipping and payment policies. I have been a “member” for 24 years and used my own shipping methods/pricing and PayPal, which was mostly flawless. I recently listed and sold three items in which eBay was allowed to “figure” shipping prices and add to the sale price. I would have lost over $100.00 because the ** eBay estimator. Fortunately I contacted the 2 buyers who sent checks to cover the actual costs. However my last sale eBay add their shipping charge and invoiced the buyer, who paid? And I just was paid for the item before I sent it. This buyer has not responded to three messages so I not send it until it is resolved. Good luck with finding a number to speak to a real person. I will no longer sell on eBay. Greed…

I'm not sure when it went down, but eBay as we knew it is gone. You cannot get a hold of a human being without going through an AI chatbot for 10 minutes, and then someone calls you from another country. That's fine but it's the fact that they changed it to that model to save money. I sent a 3-pound lamp through eBay. The buyer didn't like it, so I refunded her and had to eat the $13 in fees. A week later, they email me saying the 3-pound lamp that their AI software chose, by the way, was really 25 pounds, and they took $90 OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT! I spoke to 5 different agents, and they made ME DO A DISPUTE WITH USPS! I didn't mess up. This should have been through eBay and USPS. I was done with my part! I've also contacted a lawyer.

I purchased a $1300.00 item on June 2, 2026 and was notified June 3, 2026 by the seller that the item was broken and he would not be shipping the order. I asked for a refund and was told he could not find a way to issue it and to contact eBay. They would not allow a claim until June 11, 2026 as that was the last estimated date of delivery. When I filed a claim I am then told that eBay will not “step in” until June 17, 2026. It is now more than 2 weeks that I have been trying to get a refund! Their customer service department recognizes that the item wasn’t shipped but yet will not authorize a refund!!

I spend around 8-10 thousand a year on eBay, and this is how they treat good customers in Canada. eBay has really gone nuts the last year with shipping prices to Canada, average $100 to ship a $50 laptop, they've basically shut out buyers from Canada with their greed.

Beware - Ebay's Buyer Protection Money Back Guarantee is not absolute; and if you make a very simple mistake, you will never get your money back. In one of their disclosures, you are suppose to know (and gee, doesn't everyone?) that if you at any point open a dispute case with your credit card company while ebay is investigating a claim, ebay will close your claim and refuse to ever re-open it; and yes, it is right there in the (very lengthy) disclosure - you all know the one - the one that is pages and pages long and no one ever takes the time to read.

I was scammed by a seller - not a small purchase - about $126. Before I purchased, I did my due diligence as I always do; I checked their feedback, 100%. I check their sales; over a hundred of them. Nothing smelled funny. The price was a good price, lower than I had ever seen, but not SO much lower that it set off alarm bells. I had ordered two sets of flatware at $60 a piece; about the lowest I had ever seen them was $80. So yes, a deal for sure, but nothing to indicate a sure fire scam. Also, it had 3 day shipping. Sounded good so I went for it.

I had been a customer for 23 years - little did I know it would be the last purchase on ebay I would ever make. The next day I checked to see if the tracking number had been provided - which it has not but that's not uncommon. However, I happened to notice that now it said the seller was away until Dec 18th. For reference, this was Nov 18 (2025). Also the 'expected by' date had been changed to Dec 18th as well. I then noticed that while the item location was allegedly in the US, the seller's location on their profile was Israel. Now I smelled something funny. I contacted ebay immediately to tell them I suspected fraud and explained everything to them. Naturally, their representative gave the generic canned response which was 'well wait and see if it arrives by the original due date and if not let us know'. So I waited.

In the meantime, I revisited the seller's profile - which now was no longer 100%, and when I read the reviews there were several negatives complaints about people not getting their item. I was very confused - how could this have changed so much in only a few days? So the day finally came when I could actually contact ebay again and open a case; but when I logged in I see something telling me my package was delivered, and not only that, delivered the VERY SAME DAY that I contacted ebay for the first time! I pulled up the proof of delivery which said 'Delivered - Inside Dental, Riverview'. I do live in Riverview - I don't live or get packages at a dental office, and it surely had not come to my door.

A case was opened with ebay, but I could sense by talking to the rep that this was going to be an uphill battle because, well, it says it was delivered. You see, so long as ebay has a proof of delivery, its system is going to keep kicking it back to you. Every time their little automated system contacted the seller, the seller would just respond with the 'proof of delivery' and this satisfies their system.

When I saw this was going to be an endless game of tag, I contacted Discover (my credit card) and explained to them the whole mess. I wanted them to know what was happening. And I never asked Discover to open a case - the Discover rep asked ME if I wanted to open a case to which I agreed. This was the kiss of death, because (unbeknownst to me) ebay would close my case with ebay and refuse to reopen it (per their policy which is, ummmm, 'widely known', sure) and ebay would simply provide Discover with the bogus 'proof of delivery' so that Discover would side with them.

Here is the most delicious part of all this - I finally did find out from ebay that they did in fact find upon their investigation that I was scammed, they are fully aware of it - but because I opened a case with my financial institution, it doesn't matter because now they are no longer LEGALLY bound to protect my purchase. No matter that they should WANT to do so as it is the moral and ethical thing to do; nope - even though they know it was fraud, I am penalized because I opened a case with Discover.

Believe me people, Ebay does not care a thing about you. Now, for those still wanting to know how this actually happened in the first place - and yes I did find out how because it is actually a known scam, and it has to do with recycled tracking numbers; and how ebay perpetuates it! When a seller sells an item, they can choose to enter a tracking number manually. Somehow or another (all I know is there are ways) the scammer looks for a (currently) valid tracking number for an item that is in route to your zip code. Once they have it, they simply enter that tracking number into ebay's system. All of a sudden, ebay is tracking someone else's package to your zip, but it has no idea it isn't actually yours! In fact, I finally got a live person on the phone from UPS who verified that my package never came to my place (duh).

But here's the runaround - they will NOT give you this in writing - which Discover required in order to refuse Ebay. It's the perfect catch 22 - none of the companies want to be liable and so they protect their own arses, however it is Ebay that bears the lion's share of culpability here. And they will protect you.... um except, unless you don't read their 12 pages of disclosure and try to be proactive and alert your financial institution. That's a no no - and all of a sudden it becomes, we don't care, we don't have to anymore, because you violated our terms of service (whether intentionally or unintentionally).

So there you have it folks. 23 years and 650-ish transactions on ebay; but it will only take 1 to be your last if you wind up in a situation where ebay says - gotcha! And they do not care if you leave - you are considered an acceptable loss. So if you think loyalty or number of transactions, or your 100% feedback counts - think again. Oh, and by the way, last time I checked, the scammers feedback was back at 100% and ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS WERE GONE! Now, who do you think did that? I'll give you a guess, and it's 4 letters.

On 05/20/26, I bought a Water Boss water softener on eBay. The seller was Terry ** with 100% approval. I paid $535 plus the sales tax. As I opened the lid, I noticed that the support penal was cracked. The box in which the item was shipped was banged and warren out. I never took the item out of the box. I contacted Terry, sent him photos. He asked me whether there was any Styrofoam inside the package, and the answer was negative. I noticed that Terry had mixed messages: Money back guarantee to this item is not returnable. Another major issue was the mention of open box. This fact dawned on me later on. He wanted to refund me partially. I rejected it. I was to buy a new product, not faulty or used.

eBay contacted me with all the conduct regarding disputes. I was informed that I will never be a customer of eBay again. If eBay don't stand behind the products, perhaps it's for the better. I bought the softener in good faith. I expect full refund: I am 78 years old and live on social security.

So, I was hacked for two weeks started 5/15/26. Someone changed my phone number and security questions on my eBay account. I’ve been with eBay for over 20 years, and during those two weeks, eBay kept telling me I would be able to recover my account. Today, 5/26/26, I called eBay again to get my account back, and they told me that because the phone number and security questions were changed, they couldn’t do anything. Even though I still had access to my email, and could verify my full name and mailing address, they still refused to help.

I asked to speak with a supervisor, and the supervisor ended up going off on me, cursing me out, and saying, “We will not change the password back. Make a new account with a new email and have a good day,” before hanging up on my face. Let me say, highly unprofessional. Another thing is this: I told the supervisor to delete the account so I could make a new one, but he refused, saying, “I’m just a simple buyer, and we at eBay won’t delete it,” even though it’s my account, my credit card information, and everything. Then he started yelling and cursing at me. OMG, why do they hire terrible people who can’t do a simple task?

I have been buying and selling on eBay for more than 20 years, with a 100% positive rating and many satisfactory transactions. For a long time, I trusted eBay as a platform for serious buyers and sellers. Sadly, somewhere over the past years, eBay seems to have lost sight of what made the platform reliable in the first place: trust between buyers, sellers, and the marketplace itself. It has become increasingly difficult to navigate listings with confidence, especially for high-value or specialist items, because questionable listings and unreliable sellers appear to remain active while buyers are left to carry the risk. In my case, eBay’s response made this problem even worse: instead of protecting a loyal customer from a defective high-value item, eBay hid behind a procedural deadline and ignored the seller’s conduct.

I purchased a vintage photographic camera for more than USD 3,000. The item was listed as “Mint” and functional. After receiving it, however, a repair shop confirmed that the film advance mechanism was worn out from long use. The repair may cost more than USD 300, if the necessary replacement part can even be found. I reported the issue to the seller within the return period and clearly expressed my intention to return the item. Instead of addressing the return, the seller kept me engaged in troubleshooting until the deadline had passed. After that, the seller refused responsibility, told me to find a repair shop myself, and eventually stopped responding.

eBay customer service repeatedly sent standard replies about the 30-day deadline and did not properly address the specific facts of the case or the seller’s conduct. Even my review warning other buyers about this experience was removed without explanation. This is not acceptable treatment of a long-standing customer. In this case, eBay’s process failed to protect a buyer from a defective high-value item and ignored conduct that effectively prevented a timely return. After more than 20 years, I am now seriously considering closing my account and moving my future business to another online auction provider. A platform that does not protect loyal customers in high-value transactions is no longer a platform I can trust.

You have all this proof that it was not delivered. You have the tracking number that no other carrier has or even heard of except that one carrier JCEX they are the only one or 17 tracking so they say oh it was delivered. No, it was not and then you got a fight to try to get your money back. You gotta jump through hoops but the fraudulent seller don’t have to do anything but take your money not mine. Headline: The "eBay Guarantee" is False Advertisement – Automated Negligence at Its Finest. Do not put a single ounce of faith in the "eBay Money Back Guarantee." It is a completely hollow marketing gimmick. I recently purchased a $50 item as a gift, and the carrier delivered it to the completely wrong address a block away. Because the automated tracking merely read "Delivered," eBay flat-out refused to investigate the mistake, look at the facts, or offer an ounce of real human support.

Instead of vetting the process, eBay immediately operates on the lazy, insulting assumption that the customer is lying to run a scam. I have a flawless account history with zero prior claims. The idea that a loyal customer with a perfect record is going to tank their reputation to run a scam over a fifty-dollar item is absurd. It is insulting, short-sighted, and atrocious customer service. Fortunately, a week later, the neighbor who accidentally received the package finally saw the recipient in the yard and did the right thing by handing it over, confirming it had been misdelivered by the carrier all along. No thanks to eBay.

If the neighborhood hadn't been honest, I would be out of my money and the gift, because eBay will completely abandon you the second a carrier makes a mistake. They do not care about the truth, they do not care about your account history, and their "Guarantee" is a total joke. Shop elsewhere if you want actual buyer protection.

First, when you print a so-called discounted rate shipping label, a few days after you ship, you get an email from eBay saying "Your item cost more to ship that we thought so we are deducting another $18 from your account", and they seem to do this with regularity. Second, they prompt you continually to "promote" your listing, when you look and look and can never see what the cost for this is, but afterwards when you DO see what that "service" cost, it's astronomical! When you sell an item specifically saying, No Returns Accepted, a buyer can easily scam saying there was a screw missing, etc., and demand a refund and eBay will FORCE you to refund. As a seller I am FED UP and will immediately seek other places to sell items. eBay is the only one making money, I quit.

eBay is an absolutely *criminal* company that has a corporate policy to rob honest, hardworking sellers on the platform of their funds--all so they can unjustly collect interest off those funds for weeks or longer. I sold a collectible and created a USPS label through the platform; shipped the item *same day*; and it was delivered the following morning. My Seller dashboard immediately showed the item as delivered, and the USPS website also confirmed delivery at 11:23am to the buyer's zip code. The buyer left me immediate positive feedback. Easy, right? Wrong. eBay chose to place my funds on a 30-day hold, citing a non-existent issue with the tracking--even though their own tracking number clearly showed it as delivered. So, I called Customer Service, assuming it would be a quick and easy call to get my funds released.

After an HOUR on the phone, arguing with and escalating the issue to 3 different levels of "Customer Service," each person kept trying to explain there was nothing they could do, because eBay had "a policy" to hold funds for an exorbitant amount of time. I asked why the funds for my specific transaction were on hold. What possibly could have gotten flagged? I was a model seller: I created a shipping label *through eBay* within minutes of the buyer submitting payment; I shipped the item *same day*; it was delivered *the very next day,* with clear delivery confirmation via the USPS tracking number. Plus, the buyer left positive feedback, so there was no question as to whether they received the item.

I asked Customer Service what aspect of my transaction triggered any potential policy to create a 30-day hold on my proceeds. They could not give me an answer. Just that eBay would not be removing the hold, despite all the proof in the world of delivery and buyer satisfaction. eBay Inc. is a bunch or CROOKS and HUSTLERS who intentionally withhold sellers' money for bogus reasons, just so they can profit from additional interest. I have been a seller on eBay for 4 years and eBay is holding my money with no good explanation. I did have my account restricted in February but I reconciled it and received a message from eBay on March 22: Success! All Seller Privileges Restored. Hi Shannon, Thank you for resolving the open issues. Your selling privileges and listings have been fully restored. To maintain marketplace safety, funds earned from your sales will be available for payout within 3 days after delivery confirmation of the item. After we’ve seen ongoing confirmation of successful deliveries, you’ll start receiving your funds again 2 days after the buyer pays. We appreciate your cooperation. If you have any questions or concerns, just get in touch. Thanks for being part of the eBay community.

Since then, they have been holding my funds (the money I made as a profit from sales) for more than a month. Briefly, eBay released some of the funds but then it stopped. I have called them 6 times and EACH TIME they give me a different answer - none of which are true. Next to each sale, it says I only have to wait 3 days after the item is delivered to receive the funds. Ebay said it does not have a date when the funds will be released - they just tell me to keep shipping items. They are asking me to continue to work and buy inventory for free. This is my money and I feel like this is theft.

I had the supervisor at my post office confirm that this is what happened. The supervisor told eBay that the package was addressed and sent to someone other than me. They also offered to show visual evidence. eBay did not care and told me they were not going to reverse their decision to side with the scammer. The tracking number associated with my eBay purchase was delivered to a different name and address. The post office confirmed that my package was sent to a different name and address within my zip code. The shipping address on my order was my home shipping address. I received other packages that day by mail @ 12:51. This package was delivered to a different name and address with the same zip code. I informed ebay that I believed this to be a case of mail fraud by the seller. The seller had a 100% review rating with no bad reviews listed for the other 8 graphics cards claimed to have been sold. Checking the sellers reviews a few days later, I found that another buyer had posted a review similar to my experience. I requested ebay to investigate.

The next day the review that I had read had been removed by ebay. So I decided to leave feedback of my negative experience. I asked ebay to confirm my claims with my Post Office that the package with the tracking number on my order was not delivered to my address. I asked them to honor their money back guarantee. They indicated that the package was delivered and they were closing my request. After several Emails and a signed appeal they finally agreed to honor the moneyback guarantee. I asked that they modify their system to require confirmation from the USPS or other carrier that a package was delivered to the shipping address on the order. Their current system is obviously flawed and ebay is facilitating continued mail fraud by anyone listing expensive items then sending an inexpensive gift to someone in the same zipcode using the ebay mailing label with a modified address.

I made an honest mistake by sending a buyer the wrong (but very similar) item and immediately worked to fix it—shipping the correct item right away and providing a prepaid return label for the incorrect one. The buyer initially agreed but never returned the item, which was expensive, and eventually stopped responding. As a result, the buyer now has two very expensive items but only paid for one. Although eBay did release the funds to me, it was extremely difficult to reach customer service. When I finally did, the representatives were rude, combative, and not helpful at all. Sellers deserve better support and a more professional experience when issues arise.

Ebay is shadow of its former self. Scammers, criminals and fraudsters run amok on eBay. It seems that hijacked a profiles – then used by criminals -- is far more common than one would imagine. Few months ago, I bought an item for a fairly attractive price. Item should arrive in about 5 to 6 days. Upon checking the tracking number in the morning (less than 12 hours after having placed the order), to my astonishment the item was marked as been delivered. The tracking no. was for some item that was delivered to the city where I live and obviously I have not received anything. After having contacted UPS, I found out that some item related to that tracking no. was delivered to the same city where I live, but not to my address – rather, a completely different address.

In the end, at least, I got my money back; I guess it was too obvious for Ebay that it was a scam given that it would be close to impossible for the item to have been delivered in a matter of hours – but if the item had been delivered at a later date, the resolution of this case would be more complicated. Conclusion: It was all a concocted scam and a fraud scheme to steal. From now on, for me, Ebay is a place of last resort.

I purchased an above ground pool for $739.92 from a seller on eBay and it said I would receive my item within 2-4 days and that my purchase was covered by Ebay's "Money Back Guarantee Policy". After I clicked on the purchase button the money was immediately taken from my account for the pool. The next day I received an email with a tracking number for my item which was being shipped via UPS. I signed up for automatic updates on the shipping of my item from UPS and on the 4th day I received an email that said my item had been delivered, but it had not been delivered to me as I was awaiting the arrival of my package the entire day. I immediately contacted UPS to inform them I did not receive my package and was informed that my package had in fact been delivered but it was delivered to someone else at their address.

I found the contact info for that person so I could contact them and explain the situation because at that time I had believed it was just somehow a mix up or mistake. I contacted that person but did not get an answer but I did receive a text message with a photo of a box that had the same tracking number I was provided on it but the name on the shipping label was not mine, it was someone I had never heard of. I immediately contacted eBay to explain the situation to them and I told them I had proof that the seller did not ship my item and they provided me with a tracking number for someone else's package which I would gladly provide to them to support my claim and prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. I told them I wanted a refund for the item since it was covered under their "Money Back Guarantee Policy" and I never received the item I paid for.

They gave me the run around, transferring me to several different people, none of which agreed to refund my money or provide any useful help. They sent an email with a link to upload the proof I had to support my claim which was a copy of the original order at the time of purchase that showed my information as the shipping information as well as the amount I paid, the email with the tracking number for my item that still showed that my item was to be sent to my name and address and the shipping label and delivery confirmation from UPS that shows the tracking number I was provided on a shipping label addressed to someone else as well as the photo of the box with the tracking number and the other person's name and address on it with the text message from that person saying that the box contained 5 alpaca fleece, not my above ground pool.

I received an email from eBay saying that they had contacted the seller and the seller told them that my package had been successfully delivered to me at my address so they were going to close my claim. They told me to check with my neighbors or roommates (I did not have any) to see if they got the package. In the end I am now talking with a lawyer about taking further legal action against eBay for them not honoring their "Money Back Guarantee" as well as Breach of contract and for allowing people to scam people using their platform. They never refunded me for the item that was never sent to me and they allowed that seller who stole $739.92 from me to continue to use eBay to scam people out of their money. Beware of seller yoge40 if you shop using eBay. I honestly would not recommend doing business with eBay as they are dishonest and do not honor their own policies.

Confused, I replied, "I am eligible for a explanation to understand the reason for the action, and to understand what will become of the purchase that was made earlier?". Next the unsettling feedback was, "I trust, I have provided you the necessary information regarding your query. If you have no other query from your end, I may have to close the chat soon". In addition to exorbitant fees that apply on top of shipping and tax which means it's very easy to fees to exceed item price (so you're literally paying to give away things), eBay regularly robs sellers blind by accepting fraudulent returns on the seller's behalf and charging shipping and final value fees for the "service" of abusing sellers. Since the protections are far more negative than positive, you are far better off just paying 2-3% credit card processing fees and dealing with customers directly as eBay will only find ways to rob you.

Ebay sucks. They just screwed me financially for the second time in a year, and that will be the last time. First I bought a water pump from one of their sellers (who was selling defective Chinese pumps that fail immediately). After the defective pump caused my engine to overheat severely, they promised me $2000 as partial compensation. Then when I called them a few weeks later to get an ETA on my compensation, the phone rep just laughed and said they will never pay me a dime. I should have cancelled my 26 year old account that day but instead kept buying from them (LIKE A FOOL). Then I ordered a tire machine and wheel balancer from them which is shipped from China, and the tracking shows that they airlifted it to California, and then New York, (STATEN ISLAND WAS THE FINAL DESTINATION, AND I NEVER RECEIVED ANY OF THE ITEMS I PAID FOR (Tracking CY032695114CN).

Rather than file a claim with the useless ebay money back guarantee for buyers, I went straight to Chase bank and filed a dispute against ebay, as the seller already cancelled his account. The bank ended up giving most of the money back to me, except for a $70.14 gift card I had used for partial payment of the order. Looks like I will never see that $70.14 as ebay just refused to refund me...!!

Their customer service department is NOT based in the USA by the way, and everyone I have spoken with on the phone are incompetent jackasses that love to make false promises and lie to their customers...! THE EBAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE FOR BUYERS IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE...!!! The ebay of old was honest and trustworthy, and did right by their customers 90% of the time. THOSE DAYS ARE LONG GONE....!!! I am done with the evil empire of ebay and will be cancelling my account with them TODAY...! If you are smart, you will do the same, before they screw you over as well...!!!!

I just rejoined eBay after years of avoiding them. Now I wish I had never re-joined and will be closing it again when the last 3 items come in. I had a seller taunt me and threaten me with saying she will report me to eBay and get me banned. She kept saying for 2 weeks she gave USPS my item to ship and USPS kept saying she had not even provided it to them. I provided feedback on her and she replied with lies about our conversation in eBay messaging. eBay would be able to read all of that and would know she is lying but you cannot reach eBay as a buyer.

She now keeps sending me messages with insults, so I found a VP's email address at eBay and shared all of the messages. Of course I will never hear back as eBay would have to care and they don't. Out of the 3 packages left to ship out, 2 have issues as well. One provided an invalid tracking number and won't respond. The other is the same issue I had where USPS says they do not have the package and the seller says they received it at USPS many days ago.

You cannot reach anyone at eBay and the customer service is so random with great sellers to absolutely horrible sellers. I filed a BBB complaint and I know that does nothing at all. I filed a FTC complaint and usually that doesn't do anything at all either. I am so sorry I trusted them again. eBay is the worst customer service and compares to PayPal as the most untrustworthy, in my opinion, of any corporation in the world. Anyone using them is doing so at their own risk as eBay will not help and will not allow you to reach an agent ever. I would have never known about the employees that were put in prison for crimes against a seller until I read it online. It is shocking to me that they are able to stay in business.

E-Bay uses Ascendia for its warehouses in Erlanger Kentucky USA and Mississauga Ontario Cda. Who then uses Intelcom (which used to be Dragonfly). Now they use UNI UNI. Reviews on all 3 are horrible. Asendia courier reviews are overwhelmingly negative, with customers frequently reporting lost packages, extreme delivery delays (weeks to months), poor tracking, and terrible customer service, often describing them as unreliable for international shipments, even when partnered with major retailers. Many users complain of unresponsive support and high, unexpected duty fees, making them a highly frustrating carrier choice for receiving online orders.

Intelcom - Intelcom reviews are highly mixed, with many customers reporting significant issues like lost/damaged packages, missed deliveries, poor customer service, and drivers failing to follow instructions, especially with large partners. Intelcomexpress Reviews 1,402 TrustScore 1.5 out of 5 overall average 1.3 Stars. Uniuni Reviews 1,813 TrustScore 1 out of 5 overall average 1.1 Stars.

I made another order Dec 15, 2025 with uniquely.britany for a Ceramic Stitch cookie jar. Pd $84.64 USD including Shipping GST which came to $121.36Cdn. There was a delivery on Jan 6/26 as per E-Bay. Uniuni did not knock or ring the bell. My dogs heard a small noise at the front door. We have cameras all around the property. I checked. The box was 6"x8"x4". I took pictures, opened the box. It was for Star Wars socks, I carefully peeled the label Ascendia put on the box. It was to a fellow named Jason ** in East Troy WI. Only Acendia could make that mistake. I live in Southern Alberta Canada. I contacted sent the pictures of item, misdirected labels, etc., to the Seller, they contacted E-Bay. I initiated a return.

On Jan10/26 our cameras at the front door, gave a notice something/someone made a delivery. It was a UniUni delivery. We started recording on my husband's cellphone along with the exterior camera. As soon as we picked up the box it was immediately apparent it was badly damaged.

Opened the box, it was the cookie jar, shattered and now 4 days late on delivery. I contacted E-Bay CSR, and Anna -Utah 801-545-1800 called back. Said she'd look into it, it would be 72 hrs but assured me it would be resolved. I checked every subsequent day. I received a partial refund from uniquely.britany, but it was short $22.15USD. or $62.49 USD instead of the $84.64.USD.

I contacted E-Bay again, Jan, 16/26. Recorded that conversation with Aiden CSR - Utah 801-545-1800. He attempted to be helpful, however, the confusion on both E-Bay CSR's who could see the messaging between myself and the seller, was difficult as they kept forgetting there were 2 pkgs, one I ordered, that arrived 4 days late, and one they mislabeled that arrived on the 6th which was not my order. Then it was portrayed as something I could have changed, or that they could not discern who did what, yet I reiterated the videos, the recordings and the images, that showed mislabelling and loss of my package, either way, this is between E-Bay's Warehouses through Ascendia in Kentucky and Mississauga.

Aiden did eventually say he had a remedy, but again it would take 72 hrs. Because I had put in a return request for the package that was sent incorrectly to me in Southern Alberta Canada, which E-Bay and Ascendia claimed it was the Cookie Jar, when I attempted to put in a return for the actual delivery on Jan 10th of the completely damaged product, the program wouldn't let me. In my opinion. This is fraud, theft, and misuse of customer trust, by lack of responsibility on E-Bay, as they are the ones who contracted with Ascendia, who subsequently contracted with UniUni, who all have incredibly poor ratings and customer service.

E-Bay cannot avoid responsibilty claiming it wasn't their company. It is their company who enabled these inept businesses to handle their sellers' products to the detriment of both E-Bay and Customers/sellers. This is solely the responsibility of E-Bay and they are dancing around their accountability. If they do not refund the balance of my order, I will NEVER deal with E-Bay again, as this has been progressively bad business associations.

I only order from eBay when I can't get it anywhere else! Well, I am just sick and tired of getting scammed. Over the years I've had stuff not arrive, and the seller told me to go jump in the lake. Stuff has arrived in horrible condition, or was just some garbage. Most recently I ordered a bra and the seller kept repeating that she could sent me the white one more quickly. I made it very clear that I wanted the light flesh color one. I ended up receiving the white one. Seller said would send the correct one. I got a notice say it was delivered on Jan. 9, 26, It is now Jan. 13, 26. I never received it.

Selling/buying on eBay from 2000. Opened the store in 2007 with hundreds of items and about $30,000-35,000 invested. Despite all changes - until 2013 experience was positive. Completely started to change from 2015 (new ownership by huge institutional investors) - sales started to drop, my expenses for eBay and PayPal fee plus storage expenses started to be equal to my profit. By 2017-2018 expenses becomes more than revenue!!! And losses just keep increases year by year. Customer Service right now is terrible - no such thing like Seller protection exist anymore - NEVER BEEN REFUNDED by eBay for cheating customers (claiming item not received) or returning items in bad condition!

Finally in the 2025 eBay removed without my authorization (or lost) all my inventory listings! For me to create all listings, update inventory and keep store running takes about 17-18 years of my life! Only to restore listings on eBay by myself will take couple months! Spoke with multiple eBay representatives and managers - they just can't do a thing about it! eBay claimed no records about inventory existed or about removing my inventory at all! That inventory in my eBay TAX files for 2024! And where sales comes from? They keep transferring me between multiple departments. Worst thing - mostly they put me on hold and after 15-30 min just hang up on me!!! If you want to save your money, time and simply feel good - avoid selling on eBay and invest into eBay business!!! P.S. eBay still has not paid me for the last 2 items that were sold (when listings have been active) - that's called stealing or fraud!

eBay has gotten so bad, I wish I didn't have to give even one star. I purchased from 3 different sellers. Two of the three collectible items that I finally received are FAKE, and I can prove it. Not only that, one of the items was delivered by eBay delivery. Apparently the driver didn't know how to read an address and was extremely lazy. Instead of leaving the package at my FRONT door, it was in my BACK YARD and could not be seen from the back door or deck. The driver had to have stood at the sidewalk or street and thrown my package over the fence into my back yard.. This is the only way it could have gotten to where I finally found it..

Contacting eBay is almost impossible. They no longer allow customers to call in and you have to go through a ridiculous chat bot that constantly tries to redirect you to help articles to read. No help at all.. If you get lucky, you might get it to have an agent call you. After a LONG wait, I finally got a call, only no one on the other end spoke a single word and the call was disconnected. So I tried again with the chat bot, only to be told that no one was available and that they were closed... WHAT??

Now eBay wants me to go out of my way to return the counterfeit items back to the sellers, so that they can resell them and scam someone else.. Yes there is even more... I left one of the sellers well deserved feedback, and before I could even leave feedback for the other one, the first sellers feedback had disappeared!! I could not understand how one of them had such good feedback when they were clearly scamming people, (the other one was too new, I should have known better). Apparently they can just complain and get it removed.. Well that explains everything.

I used to buy and sell on eBay many years ago and they were great. Not anymore. The second this is resolved, I will be closing my account. I don't need to do business with people and a company that I do not trust. Too many scammers on eBay and they don't seem to care at all about their customers. I will never have anything to do with eBay again. Lesson learned!

On November 10th, 2025, I purchased what I thought was a beautiful coat from a dealer out of China. Even before purchasing I read the reviews and googled their eBay business name. I knew it was a crap shoot ordering something from China, let alone a custom coat but, stupid me I did it anyway and how sorry I am today for doing so. They said it would be about 6 weeks before receiving it and it was.

I watched the delivery truck pull up and the driver walk the package to the door. When I went out on the porch to retrieve it, I knew immediately from the size of the package I had been scammed. There is no way for a 54-inch-long over coat could fit in that small a bag. The only thing I am sorry about is that I did not film me opening it. When I did open it, I unpacked a toxic lime green woman's bustier costume with these long tail pieces hanging all around it and worst yet elbow gloves. I couldn't even be overly ticked off because in the back of my mind I knew it was possible to be scammed like this.

I reached out to eBay who responded by offering to get involved with the return process if needed but there really is no need. The dealer sent me a return label, but it was not legitimate, nothing I could put on a FedEx package indicating that they would be paying for it. Also, when they responded they included a copy of the order that had a picture of the coat I bought. So, what do you think would happen when I returned the trash, they sent me? Well, no more eBay for me and definitely never ever buying anything from any dealer out of China and it's sad because it seems that 99% of the dealers of the fashion sites are. I only wish I could list the dealers name here in this review. Like I said, lesson learned. Buy nothing from China. The picture of the coat is what I ordered and expected to receive and that green thing is what I received.

Customer service is almost non existent and if you do get ahold of a rep they're at a call center most likely in the Philippines with little or no authority to resolve issues. Finally, as a seller, if you ever had a dispute over a transaction, Ebay will most likely settle in favor of the buyer regardless of the circumstances or how right you, as a seller, might be. This happened to me on a $500 sale. The buyer had blatantly lied and no matter the evidence I sent in Ebay reached into my account and took out the money. There is a list of BAD experiences with eBay.com. For this review, I will simply explain my latest experiences. Buyers have opened what eBay calls a case. These file states that they never received the item that they purchased from me. Each item had a tracking number and the tracking number shows that the item was delivered. One buyer stated the envelope was empty. Another buyer stated they had not received it, and tracking again shows that they had received the item. This particular buyer sent several messages to me stating the package had been received, and that it had been damaged in shipping. I instructed the buyer to contact USPS. eBay sent me a message stating that my funds were on hold because of a case that was open regarding a non-received item. The representative, verified that the tracking number showed that the item had been delivered. And my funds would still be on hold for 6 days.

I couldn't seem to make the representative understand that she verified that the item was received and that should be the end of it, and my funds should be released. She simply read a standard script stating that they will investigate and I can open a case at that time. That would make me wait even longer for my funds to be released. I asked you to speak with a supervisor, which is simply a joke. The leadership team member simply restated over and over what the first representative had stated.

For whatever reason, he seems to always side with the buyer even when their own evidence shows just the opposite of what the buyer stated. And the item had been received and eBay has a documented tracking number to verify delivery. Ultimately nothing has changed. eBay staff just simply repeats and repeat. Their leadership team has no ability or authority to resolve any issues. So after 26 years of using eBay I've come to the realization that the time has come for this relationship to end. I truly know that I would not do business with a company that had this type of rating.
