This company/app is bull. You have to call to cancel but when you call they ask you to verify what card you used and then they take whatever amount they can. I got $304.99 taken from my account and they tried for more by that time I had locked my card. DO NOT USE THIS APP/COMPANY.

I needed to find a person's phone number so I could notify them immediately that their pet was in local shelter. No time to wait for an email so I came across Beenverified.com and was offered a trial period for one dollar so yes I accepted! I totally forgot to cancel on time and called customer service and the lady I spoke with was very polite and actually made me wish I didn't need to cancel my subscription. They will tell you you get 7 days free trial and you can cancel and not be charged. You call them to cancel. They tell you OK. 5 months later you notice you've been charged $26.95 and change. You contact them and they tell you you cannot call to cancel. There's a process you have to go through in order to cancel. They steal your money and then they won't refund it. A very dishonest company. Do not use them and do not even sign up for the free trial. It'll cost you!

WOW! Is this site an impressive scammer! You are supposed to get 'secret' background checks on anyone. I decided to test this out and see what happens. Apparently, my mother is alive and well at age 96. News to me. She passed away over 30 years ago, and is now living at my father's condominium which he purchased after she died. My father has been deceased for nearly twenty years. I should go over there and say, "Hi mom and dad! I so happy to see you alive! Welcome back from the dead." My mother's 'closest' relative is my father's second wife also deceased but is alive and well at an address she never lived at. Great job here! 'Been Verified's' response is that they keep their records "up to date". Ha! I have news for you. You are well over 30 years out of date and all the contact information for phone numbers are numbers that never existed. What a scam! And don't believe the reviews. They are all fake. Best to keep your money safe and not waste it on this scammer.

I called BeenVerified because I had received two unexpected charges on my credit card for monthly subscription fees. Samantha explained that I had a free trial membership, and I hadn't cancelled the membership, thus the charges. I told her that I didn't realize I had to cancel. She was very helpful and professional in her demeanor. She applied a credit back to my credit card for the amount of both charges. Throughout the call, Samantha was courteous and responsive to my questions. I was so pleased to receive such excellent customer service. Samantha is a credit to her company. I only needed the name of a person who texted me. That's it. Their Google link said, "Don't bother with a full report, click here and just get their name and State." And then they started generating a full report, refusing to give me the name unless I buy the whole thing. Even if I wanted to do that, I wouldn't because the last time I did, they told me the person was in the state of Washington and they were in the state of Florida. My sister also used it and out of 10 people that she looked up - old friends that she wanted to get in contact with again - eight were bad email addresses and social media accounts.

I bought a month's worth of BeenVerified vehicle reports and immediately discovered that it fails to report accidents, and not only recent ones, but ones from several years ago. So I've been paying for reports from the major players and checking BeenVerified against them to see if that was a fluke, but BeenVerified consistently fails to report accidents. It was not a fluke. With the most recent check, the car had been in three (3) accidents including one that happened over five years ago where the airbag deployed. As things stand in June of 2021, BeenVerified is just not reliable if you used car shopping.

I stumbled across this site one day when I was needing to verify a few things and people and I'm glad I did. Not only was they very informative but very accurate on what I needed. Then I realized how very protective they were of me and my info and how on too of things they kept me and my privacy, Private, anything that pertained to me was very secure and maintained and if anything happened or that they seen unusual they alerted me right away and handled everything else without me having to call multiple people letting them know what was going on with accountants etc. They care about you as you not just a number on their client roster. So yes I would recommend BeenVerified to anyone. I hate I have to let my membership go at this time only because of not having a job at the moment. But I will be back when I do. I have not been able to pull up my "Dashboard" of reports I have. They just keep loading up with no result after more than 20 mins later??? But Rep named Reese was most helpful in hearing me out. This was my 3rd time calling in on this subject.. But Reese went way out to explain my situation to me on how there was a software update and suspects that I got caught In the middle.. He contacted the Tech Dept to call me to fix.. Which they have not done yet...But Reese made me feel valued and was most helpful in retaining me as a customer??!! I never actually got to find the contact of the people I was looking for. I tried looking for myself just with my name and no information came up, then I added the city and nothing. I put my brother and some information came up but not all. And then I tried my parents and same thing. The price is reasonable but the results not so much. Customer service is excellent.

In 2019, I signed up for BeenVerified as we were trying to find my husband’s father. They lured us in by stating they had records, but once we put in our credit card information, we quickly realized the info they had was sparse and incredibly outdated. For an accuracy check, we checked our own names through the platform and nearly every single detail was incorrect. I called to cancel, and they were able to refund us so I wrote it off as a platform that wasn’t well-developed yet.
Recently I gave it another chance, figuring it had been a few years and they must have improved their data if they were still in business. There was a distant family member who we were considering letting watch our daughter and I let them know we were screening sitters (as we do not know this family member well and they only came into our lives recently). Their info on BeenVerified was also extremely outdated. I called to cancel again. Two months later, I noticed I had been charged two more times for the service despite having a cancellation confirmation number. I called and explained the situation, the representative said “Well, you’ve violated our terms of service by doing a background check on someone.”
I laughed, as isn’t that the whole point of their service? (Clearly they know this is the ONLY reason for their service so it seems to be a *winkwink/covering ourselves by saying this* type of thing.) I explained we weren’t an employer or a landlord and that I am well-versed in FCRA and our situation didn't fall under that. It was neither here nor there, as I just wanted them to stop charging me. The representative kept stating “I have to let you know that your account will be flagged and banned as you’ve violated our terms by performing a background check.” It was a man exceedingly bizarre experience — I just wanted the charges to stop.
I would caution anyone against using BeenVerified. Any data aggregator is going to have some inaccuracies in data, but theirs is so wildly inaccurate across the board time and time again that it essentially renders the info useless. They seem unable to honor cancellations without you having to make several calls through their long automated system to finally get a live person. (I will say that they were cooperative in giving me the refund I insisted on.) The company seems to operate on a thin line of legitimacy, essentially saying “We provide background checks, but by using our service you agreed to our terms which state that you won’t PERFORM background checks.”
Again, we weren’t using BeenVerified to screen employees or tenants. But in reality, they know that’s why their whole business exists: so that anyone who pays them their monthly fee can pull the background of anyone else to make any decisions they’d like, and it’s actually frightening to think those decisions are being made every day based on the wildly inaccurate data this company provides.

Report was friendly for first-time users at a fairly affordable price; the means to cancel subscriptions were a little wonky, but they get back to you right away. All said in done, it does everything you need to do- for a fee, of course, but one you can live with if you're not strapped for cash.

Decided to use this service for personal assessment background check prior to applying to TSA’s global entry program. While I was not thrilled with the criminal background data check, I was impressed by all the other data that was provided. I am always suspect about these websites but found that this site has excellent customer support. It was timely and supportive. They stated that they are constantly improving the data they provide and I was impressed by the quick turnaround on communications and the way they addressed my concerns.

I have a large family and I tried to review info for almost everyone in my family and there are errors in every single entry I reviewed. Examples: Previous places we lived and even some current ones. Ages wrong, people listed as relations we are not related to, aliases, initials, maiden names, phone numbers, criminal records, birth dates, death dates, court records, etc. Where do they get this **? This misinformation affects people when they apply for a job, loan or a place to live. Why is it legal?

I searched on a scammer's phone number. BeenVerified said it found the information and required a small payment and a subscription to access the report. When I finally got to view the report, it said it had been unable to find any information, AT ALL, about the number. To be fair, they refunded me everything when I called and cancelled my account but they should have told me upfront that the search had been unsuccessful. What BV did borders on fraud.

I bought BeenVerified due to a recent problem with my neighbor who told me when he first moved here 2 years ago that he just got out of prison. I wanted to check why he went to prison. The criminal records check came back with no arrest records. So I checked my relative who I know has a lengthy criminal record 30 years ago to present. My relative's arrest records show for year 2000 only in BeenVerified, nothing past that even though I know he has new arrests every couple/few years since 2000 to present. So, I bought Intelius background check to double check my neighbor and my relatives complete rap-sheet showed up even though my ex-con neighbor still showed no arrests. BeenVerified is a terrible choice for criminal records search. Intelius appears to be more thorough. I still wonder why my neighbor shows no arrests.

This BeenVerified once upon a time was adequate, now a con job. Their info is very common and compared to prior year, is all meant to make money off the consumer, by giving basic info. Yet unlike the prior year, it is now about conning the consumer with add ons, and unlike last year, it is about conning the consumer with $$$ add ons, and monthly fees, And, if they tell you are cancelled, please check with you credit card company, for the CC company that you are still on BeenVerified subscription reoccurring every month, whereupon the CC company will recommend your cancelling your card to avert further charges from this scam company. I had been searching for over a decade for some Marines I'd served with in the 1980's. After years of searching the web and not being a Facebook user I was coming up empty. With BeenVerified I was able to find nearly everyone I'd hoped to find with the exception of a few guys I didn't have enough info on. If you know their name, approximate age and where they're from or where they've lived you WILL find them. Unfortunately I waited too long to get serious about my search, two of the Marines on the top of my list had recently passed away. I had to mourn two of my friends in one day. Kind of ironic that a company that does background checks is itself a dishonest company. Buyer beware of the fine print! This company ensured that the monthly billing was in very fine print, the kind that one needs to dig around to find and then use a magnifying glass to read. They took money out of my credit card account every month until I saw it (lesson learned - I will be checking monthly statements carefully from now on). They then refused to pay it back. To add insult to injury, they asked me to tell my credit card company to back off since BeenVerified did me the kindness of closing my account. If you need a background check done, I recommend going somewhere else.

I gave "a friend" of mine my cell phone number. A few days later I got a disgusting text which I knew was not from him. I messaged him and he goes 'oh that phone broke..(? Uh??..)- Obviously he bought some stupid phone off the street, and I got hacked. I got NumberGuru to see what this number was, etc with the disgusting text...Turns out it didn't have "a home" and most likely spam. At least I knew. I blocked the number, etc. What I like most about NumberGuru is it let me cancel, easily and effortlessly...No surprise charges on my card, etc. They responded right away and confirmed my cancelation. I paid 1$ for a 7 day trial subscription. Paypal went through no problem. Next day, BeenVerified says "there's a problem with your account." They want more money, deny access. I sent them a screenshot of the PayPal payment. No response from them. Screenshot of payment provided. Yes it's only a dollar lost. But it indicates how they operate. This is a typical online search of identities, personal data etc. Problem is data is often not available on individual you're searching. Most importantly, you will always wind up signing up for monthly renewal & then you will never receive notification regarding renewal. When you cancel quickly they will not credit the amount they charged for the full month.

I purchased the BeenVerified 7 Day trial for a $1.00 on 08/07/2020. I used it for maybe three days then stopped using it. I check my email regularly and never received an email warning me about my trial being close to expiration or asking me if I would like to renew their service. Today 08/15/2020 I receive an email telling me that my account has been charged $28.37. I’m extremely upset with this pricing first off. Looking at other reviews from the past few months I see that other customers have been charged $22+. There is obviously no exact amount they are charging anyone.
Secondly I cancelled the moment I received my email telling me I’m going to be charged. I sent an email describing my disruption and disappointment with how the trial went and all I received back was an email telling me my subscription had been canceled. I don’t know why I expected compassionate customer service and maybe a refund. I’m a college student. I can’t afford expensive subscriptions like this. My advice for anyone considering this company, don’t. Don’t fall for the $1.00 subscription fee for a 7 day trial and most definitely don’t fall for the prices. It’s all a ploy to get into your wallet.

I told someone to do a background check on me, and they did and my information was mixed up with other people, and the report I was sent had even the wrong birthdate so I joined the site to clear up my name and remove all my incorrect information. I don't know how long I will stay with the company since they are mixing my information up with other people. I do know there was a data breach on Yahoo and Experian, but it also showed I had hidden profiles which I do not have. I lost a friend over this and I am thoroughly pissed off. I am trying to get all the incorrect information deleted from the site, I am so upset I am trying to remove everything. I made my payment by Paypal for $26.89 and called back to sign up for $9.95 instead of cancelling yet until I get this all straighten out.

I been getting calls from a number and I decided to search. Beenverified popped up in the searches. I searched the number and watched all these search and progress graphs and at the end they offer a $1 seven day trial so I sign up and get my results which are zero results. I then search several more numbers and got nothing. Interestingly when you perform searches after signing up, the results pop up immediately without all the fancy graphs and progress crap. There's been not one record found, this is just another scam to get money for nothing. How people like this can sleep at night is beyond me. The dishonesty in this world has gotten so ridiculous.

Beenverified are liars and crooks! In April, they offered me a promotional rate of $1.00 per month for unlimited background checks for as long as I kept the account opened. When I called to sign up for this offer, the representative said she'd have someone contact me, and no-one ever did. I called back a few days later and spoke to a supervisor by the name of Patrick who told me that he didn't know how to charge my debit card the $1, but he would set it up so that I would be charged $9.95/mo., then they would immediately refund me the $8.95 - and I'd only end up paying $1 per month. This happened in April.
Then in May and June, I was charged $9.95 both months (instead of $1.00 like they had agreed). So I spoke to Patrick about it and he told me that apparently I canceled the service in April, then re-enacted it in May -- so it went up to $9.95 a month. I told him that I never canceled the service - and he insisted that I did an automated cancellation (which was a big fat lie!,) which ended the promotional rate of $1/mo. I was shocked that this company that I had trusted had deceived me in this manner. I will never, EVER do business with them again. I still can't get over their duplicity.

Don't use this shoddy service. I paid about $56.00 or so for a 3 month adventure with these folks. They led me to believe that I would have access to all security requests for three months. This is not true. I was allowed only 10 "windows" as they refer to it, which is limiting you to background checks for only 10 people. This is up to and including fraud. In other words you can run checks on 10 people for a total of 3 months, or 3 1/3 reports a month. In attempting to review your information after your 10 "windows", you can not get back into the website. The explanation regarding this service is inadequate, however the info you receive is really quite good. Consumers beware!

These people sell falsified information. They have my childhood emails (from when I was like 8-12) linked to an old address with a fake phone number, claiming I am years older than I am and charge people for this information. Who knows what else they try to link to my name, I didn’t pay. I am a victim of identity theft and these people more than likely helped them steal bits of my information I’m sure. They need to be shut down. I have already contacted the FTC and intend on letting the FEDS know they sell children’s information. Absolutely disgusting. Don’t ever trust these people. When I saw the automatic monthly charge on my PayPal account, my response was "What the hell is 'Been Verified', and why are they charging me $22.86?!?" I contacted PayPal about this, and within a day I had a full refund and a cancellation of the BV account, so in light of the circumstances involved here I cannot complain about them.

I am so angry when company like this rip people off! You should even be thankful that when I did a sign up on 2/28/2020 that I paid! Vs $1 trail! And so then I chose only one month which I was charged of $22.86. If I wanted to do continuously then I would choose either 3 months or 6 or 12! AND IF 3 months my monthly would be less that $18! So why then I only chose one month, I continued to get charged of $22.86 for 4/1/2020 then 5/1/2020! Of $22.86 each month! Extremely disappointed with BeenVerified. I utilized this company in an attempt to locate my brother who I haven't seen or heard from since my mother died 13 years ago. The only tidbit of info I received for my $23 was an old address where he temporarily lived 37 years ago after his release from a local prison holding facility. BeenVerified had no age, no birth date, no relatives, no phone or social info, no criminal or traffic records (he was indicted THREE times for DWI in the state of MD) & no aliases or email addresses.
This is really hard to believe since he lived his entire life in the same state! He had a great job for numerous years at the headquarters of the Baltimore County Public School system before he was incarcerated. After that, he held a few various jobs but didn't keep them for more than 2 or 3 years. Plus he had been married for several years & divorced. The report I received from BeenVerified was basically on a person who never really existed! Save your money & don't use this company. Their research is deplorable!

I went to Been Verified to find information on the person my ex- wife is now living with as I have custody of our son and wanted to know if this person was a good person, Been Verified said they found him and needed payment for me to see the results. Immediately after the payment was made they said they had no information and could not locate the person. I've tried emailing and calling for a refund and to cancel but my emails are returned to me and the phone calls they put you on hold for hours. I found from another site the person was just released from Federal Prison and has served both county jail and state prison in another state (which has been verified by his mother and father). Don't fall for this scam, they say they can provide which is nothing more than False Advertising.

I was looking up a couple of possible numbers to call back after leaving my phone in the Uber this morning. One was unknown and I was sure that the other one was the Urgent Care Center where I was calling from. Been Verified came up with the phone belonging to a person, that had 7 jobs and more. I very old trick by disreputable buisnesses. Trick the customer into investing some time on the website and offer a low "trial" price of $1. But nowhere on that web page did I see how much Beenverified will cost after the 5 day trial. How much does it cost monthly for their service? 5 day trial? Can I get a valid verification on someone in 5 days? No way to get these questions answered without click on icon to sign up for 5 day trial.

As a test, I did a background check on someone I knew had a criminal record and even spent time incarcerated. But BeenVerified only showed one traffic offense from quite a few years ago. This raised my suspicion about this service and I was sorry I spent the money. I doubt the other 2 background checks I did were accurate.

I tried this site in an effort to investigate what may be out there in cyberspace related to myself. What I found was 4 out of 5 phone numbers I tried were wrong. I keyed in several family members and friends which are numbers I knew only to find out they were all wrong EXCEPT mine. Additionally the name was the ONLY thing reported to my phone number. Absolutely no additional information which they claim to seek was available even though I am a municipal employee which is public knowledge and several colleges I have attended did not show up in educational history. If you are thinking about using this service, DON'T. Run like the wind and find another site. This one was an absolute waste of keystrokes, time and my $1.00 trial membership.

Satisfied with the refunded money for the purchase but buyers should be aware that some investigation on their own goes a long way before purchasing from this company. The refund for the purchase still doesn't change the fact that the information provided was strictly from an internet search, and half of it was mixed up with the wrong person, because the person it mixed it up with was me, since I share the same first and last name as the family member I was investigating.

Purchased a background check report from BeenVerified looking for information about an ex-husband that was relevant to a coming court case. After purchasing the report services for 26.89. I received the report on the person I was looking for and upon reading the report I found that not only did it mix up the person with another family member on almost every point, but in order to find out the information I was looking for, they were charging an additional monthly fee for "premium services" and locked you out of all other information that would actually be included in a real background check. The only information they actually gave me was pulled from a Google search, showing contact information, social media and last known address which was pulled from phone records. It included criminal records which can easily be pulled from a public records search on any state website as well for free. Do not waste your money on this service.

The site literally doesn't have HALF of the people I wanted to look up (while they're available for their competitors) and the information isn't even accurate. I paid twenty something dollars to find a report full of fake social media accounts that don't even exist/are unofficial accounts (for famous celebs). Anyways, ain't paying again and might just give my money to their competitors.

My experience is terrible. I contacted them but they are absolutely no help whatsoever. I was misguided, I feel as if it's false advisement. They had a subscription for 15 dollars so I purchased it. It never showed me a total to confirm until it was already too late. I was charged 44.58. I feel a bit robbed at this point. I cancelled it, it's useless anyways. The information on the site is terrible and they want you to keep paying for upgrades. Doesn't give you good information. I will never do this again!

A resolution was reached the same day as my request for cancellation was submitted. My instincts lead me to believe that any other company that provides a similar service will likely not offer any more information than was available through the BeenVerified reports and my personal experience is not indicative that BeenVerified is a poorly operated service. I will consider this a learning experience and am appreciative a refund was offered in this situation.

I signed up for the 3 month subscription at a promotional price of $44.58 to use the service to look up old friends and myself. I am pretty savvy on how to search free information and public records, and thought there would be more benefit to the service. It was very disappointing and vague and inaccurate in some of the areas where I already knew certain information. There were offers to purchase more detailed information, but after purchasing the reports and receiving very little information, I would not trust the additional purchased detail would be more in depth. Cancelling immediately and feeling letdown and silly for paying for this service, wishing I could get a refund.

It is a good website to search someone you don't know much. You will find some information you surprised. However if you are searching someone you know, you want to find some accurate information, this is not work. A lot of information is not up to date, like phone number, address, property. I searched myself too. The address has several errors. I have never lived in another state, they have 2 addresses are in another state. The phone numbers has the only very old ones. Even one personally known guy, his information is very old. I hope BeenVerified can work with the phone companies, make their phone number up to date.

I searched myself, and found a lot of errors. Wrong: addresses, emails, family members, social websites, financial, etc. There's an option on each piece of information to notify them to correct it. However, it's been weeks and all the wrong information is still wrong! I have been looking for work for a couple months now, and see that over half of the information is wrong and is likely detrimental to my employment search efforts if an employer uses all this wrong information as a pre-interview weeding out process.

You can get a better check for 95 cents. The information is vague and doesn't invoke trust in their data accuracy. I used it for checking to see if known acquaintance would be a trustworthy roommate and if there were any red flags. The report offered only info I could have acquired in Spokeo or People Search, FREE!! The court records HAHAHA, so left number. No court referenced offense statement. Save your money!!

They never stopped billing me. Online they said my email address was wrong. Had to call and email was ok. I currently use their services sometime over two years ago, and was charged a fee for said services. I was unaware there was a monthly recurring fee for their services being charged to an account that I rarely use. This went on for over two years and I never received any communication from them whatsoever. When I went to cancel they told me they would reduce my last month's bill by nine dollars because I was canceling and for the inconvenience. Run for the hills, this place is a scam.

I signed up for this looking for information about a person. I found more info than they have.... on Google... for FREE! Everything they had in the report was at least 5 years old so I decided to look myself up. What a joke! I apparently do not exist, except with a married name I only used for 2 years - 20 years ago! I called to cancel and get a refund because their information is pathetic. I was told that the information they have is gathered by other sources and they are not responsible for it. I told them to get better sources that are more current than 5 years. A waste of time and money, do not bother. But I did get my money back. :)

Clicked link offering free background check, after a number of questions and 5 mins they generate a report and want you to sign up for membership to obtain it. Cost is over $20, very misleading. You should put cost of service upfront so consumers can make informed decision prior to entering information required to obtain report.

I was trying to locate relatives in my same state that I lost contact with after our parents died. All the phone numbers were no longer in service. I tried to get through to Hotmail, Gmail, AOL, etc... but those links seem to be outdated also. I am very disappointed after 3+ hours of searching the info provided for $22. Most of the additional useful info costs extra, as does getting a pdf version sent to your email box. Info such as workplaces, education, etc. which could verify, if you are looking at the correct person. I would not recommend this company. I will cancel ASAP. I wish I had read the reviews for BeenVerified more closely, before not after, I tried to use this service.

I logged into this service a total of 2 times in October of 2016. I did not realize it was a monthly recurring subscription service. They have charged me over 500 dollars to date. The company informed me policy dictates they can only refund 4 months. That means I was charged over 200 dollars per log in! This is insanity. In addition I never received any emails or notices of billing after my initial "subscription". They are perfectly happy in fact overjoyed to allow people to continue paying who don't realize they even have the service. When I emailed the services department I received the same mass email they send to everyone they have taken to the cleaners.

I asked some pretty basic questions to BeenVerified in order to make a determination for our company whether their services would be exactly what we needed. Needless to say it didn't get very far as I asked about docket numbers to which their response was, "When you mention docket numbers, are you referring to criminal records?" A background reporting agency should know what a docket number is referencing. It's a scam, any good review on here is most likely fake. They pull their records from free sources on the web and package it up for a nice price for you.

Much like other reviews on here I signed up once in 3/18 for an employee background. Got little to no information I couldn't have found out in public records search. Canceled the account and as that was an OLD credit card didnt' see the next statements... They've been charging 22.86 ever since to my NEW credit card which I did not authorize. Called to complain... NO REFUNDS. Guy was a jerk. Will NEVER use their so called service again. How they can charge a different credit card (issued by same bank) without prior authorization is something I will be addressing with Bank of America.

PAID SUBSCRIPTION and before it had expired. I spoke with Kim and she said that Joni allowed a FAKE Person to call me and block my account at the corporate level. My email, My Credit Card, everything block. Kim told me I had to sign up for a new account and I tried. They unauthorized my personal email and credit card. WHAT THE CRAZY FRAUD THEY GOT GOING ON.

Do not waste your money on this! Information is incomplete, and very inaccurate. I signed up and ran a report to get some information I needed on a person. The information I got was less than what I had already found online for free and I noticed that some of it was not correct. I ran a report on myself just to see what come up and was so disgusted. It was totally full of so much incorrect information I was shocked. There is no way to dispute the information that comes up either which I think is totally wrong. What a total and complete waste of almost $24! Don't waste your money on this. I cancelled and will be checking my bank account to make sure I do not get charged next month as well since I noticed that has happened with other people. No refund of any kind was offered when I canceled either even though I only had the account for a few hours and did one totally worthless report.

I thought I clicked on the trial offer for BeenVerified and accidentally hit the wrong button and got the subscription. I immediately called BeenVerified and spoke with a very nice lady about what had happened. She instantly refunded me my $22.00 (I believe that is how much it was, or close to it) and told me that I did not have to worry about my subscription error and that it was all taken care of. I am not one to look at my bank statement online a lot and saw I was STILL being billed the monthly fee of $9.99. I called back in November saying I was still being billed and they said they would cancel it.
Well, here I am 8 months later still being billed monthly. My original mistake happened in June 2018. Can you explain why I am not having my subscription cancelled like I have been told twice now? So my advice is buyer beware of being told your subscription is cancelled when it is not. Been Verified can look at their records and tell you that I have not used BeenVerified outside my trial period. Crookedness is what this company is!!!

I am VERY DISAPPOINTED as IT IS BAD BUSINESS to do that to customers!!! I ran a report on a new boyfriend and myself. My data had addresses that I never lived at. The cell number listed I changed 4 years ago. My boyfriend's information was also not current. The most recent address listed is one for a location he has not lived in years. The data I received I could have derived from other sources at no cost. DO NOT USE! I had this for a month and cancelled their services. I did this on-line and it never took. Because it has been months I have deleted the email that was associated with the cancellation. My fault for not paying attention to my bank account and thinking I wouldn't have issues. If you use this site and want to cancel, call! Or you will be charged. On another note, everything they "Found" I had found on-line for FREE! Very disappointed.

Greatly displeased with the quality of the service, as well as my missing money!

Now watch the wonder of BeenVerified. Send you the results to unlock at a cost of $44.50 US the address you just created out of thin air. They will say they have an address, Criminal record, social media the lot, for a address that doesn’t exist. Just try what I said before you get caught LOL. I signed up for the free trial on the BeenVerified website to assist with my family tree and other reasons. Of course, when you sign up for the free trial, you have to add a method of payment. I have tried calling the number listed on the site to cancel my account a day or 2 before the trial ended and I either got a busy signal or the phone hangs up when you think you are connected to someone. I have been charged $45 and I didn't even use the site for the entire trial period. I hope that this can be resolved soon. I refuse to keep being charged for a service I don't use nor need.

After signing up I was asked to start the search which I thought was already done. The search came up with nothing and I know for a fact that there is information available. I did do research before subscribing to BeenVerified but honestly I was just thinking a background search is a background search, nothing fancy. I wish I didn't waste my money with this company. They don't have any useful information at all. I have done plenty of searches on Google but wanted something more in depth. This website is a joke! I did a background check on a old high school buddy who is now in Jail and a registered sex offender. All of his information is available through a Google search, BeenVerified didn't have anything on this person. Not even the records of him being a sex offender! No arrest or court records, nothing!
I did a search on a few other people and myself. There wasn't any information and what little was provided was outdated crap. The company made a statement on someone else's review saying they collect information through public data and such. If that is truly the case, then why is Google providing more information and recent public records, when this sorry excuse of a company shows zilch. I am skeptical to even try other sites now, maybe there is one that really is good and legit. But I can truly say through my bad choice in picking BeenVerified, I do not recommend them.
One last note, I have many public sites I'm registered with that contain my email and phone number. So you would think I could find all my info searching with my email or phone, nope nothing matched my search. I think this company needs to reevaluate how to get and share information with customers. If nothing changes, I'm pretty sure this website will be shut down either by force or going broke. In conclusion, BeenVerified is shameful, useless and dishonorable. Claiming to be a wonderful and accurate background check company is abhorrent.

I made a one-time payment of $44.58 on the site on July 12, 2018 with hope of finding information on a lost relative, received information that I easily found on Google as well. However, unbeknownst to me they charged the same amount thru my PayPal account on October 12, 2018 and again on January 12, 2019. I became aware of the January 12th payment and contacted PayPal. I have reviewed the receipts to my original payment in July 2018 and no way did I enter into a subscription with BeenVerified. Buyer Beware! If you must purchase from them, then be on the lookout for unauthorized charges to your credit or debit card account.

I tried their special $1 trial offer and that got me a subscription I didn't need and didn't want; and what little information they provided, I could have found the same on the net for free! I had to cancel my credit card to finally stop PayPal payments. PayPal should be ashamed for associating with such a scammer. For the third time in a row they did try to charge my old credit card! The initial website looked like it was doing a search to identify a phone number, with several screens taking 20-30 seconds to "search" for the info, ending with one that said there was much information about the phone number. I thought it worth paying to get the info. Once I paid, it turned out there was very little info and the 'searches' were fake. Fortunately they canceled my membership on request.

My internet naive wife wanted to look up a lost relative. Somehow bypassing the white pages she ended up on BeenVerified. They offered 2 weeks free. I was asleep and was awoken by a Capital One alert that I am supposed to receive for amounts more than $100. This charge was for 23$, suggesting to me that something was remiss. I canceled the charge. Subsequently she was informed there is now a monthly charge and 37$ to cancel it even though we have not reached 2 weeks.

I tried this product and it yielded incorrect information. I did a search on myself first to see the accuracy of this service. It had me listed in towns I have never resided in. I decided that this would not work for me. I cancelled the same day. Fast forward, my card was charged $44.58. I have put in an alert with my bank and am waiting for a response from this company. I decided to look at reviews and not surprised that this has happened to others.

Do not waste you money on this site. Anything of value will cost extra... if, in fact, you can get anything of value. For example, I did a search on myself and not only did it miss important information, like my education and property that I own, but it even had my address wrong. It even said that I had previously lived in a town that I had never visited before. So I am out the $46 I paid for the 3 months subscription for a sub-par service.

Email I sent to BeenVerified explains it all: "Was told today that I would have access to the premium data which I do not. I logged out, closed down the program, then relogged on- it still isn't working. I was going to cancel due to the misrepresentation of membership price on my initial Google search. The link for your website said it was completely free and when I searched a name it took over 15 minutes to produce a report. While it was "loading the results", I was being advertised all of the features of membership. When the "completely free" report was finally completed, I was upset to find that I was required to join at 26+ dollars a month to view the results. I then attempted to leave the site and then offered a trial for $1. I accepted the offer, due to all the time I'd already invested into getting the report.
"Today was day 4 of my 5 days trial. Called to cancel and was offered a free upgrade to premium data and an extension of my trial period to 30 days. I accepted the offer and actually considered extending my membership, so I asked the price after the trial. I was told 9.95. The rep assured me he would send me this in writing. I got the email with my free trial date, but it states the membership price of $26+ after the trial period is over.
"So to recap- False advertising/misled to your site. Took 15 min to complete the "free" report, so my time invested made a membership more likely to be purchased. I attempted to leave the site anyway and was offered a five day trial period for $1, which I accepted. I called to cancel on day 4. The rep offered to extend my trial period for 30 days, with no charge. The rep offered an upgrade to the premium data. He affirmed the premium data was included when I specifically mentioned the weapons licenses search. This rep and his offers gave me confidence in your organization, so I considered keeping my membership and inquired the price. He said 9.95. The rep said I would receive an email with my trial period info which stated the membership would be over $26 after my trial period. I'm hoping for a quick fix of my account and that the promises of the features, trial period, and price that I was given will be rendered asap."
Been Verified response: "Your account is now cancelled, as you requested. If you have any paid time remaining in your plan, you still have access for the remainder of that time, however you will not be billed going forward. We're sorry to see you go, but glad you were able to try out our website. Please know that you always have access to log back in and reactivate if you need our services again in the future. If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact us." Clearly the email wasn't even read. Called today and had a rep spit the info I already had back at me. She did tell me that premium info is bought per report, so their service was misrepresented on numerous occasions. I'm hoping I won't see a charge for this but I would not be shocked to see the charge.

Beware of the fine print (which is well hidden), this is a subscription. When I attempted to reach customer service to address this issue, the agent hung up on me. So in total I am out about sixty bucks and got no information about the subject of my search. Worthless.

Have not used them since July. I used the trial period for 1$ and have not attempted any transactions all these months and then all of the sudden my acct is 26 dollars light. I keep up on my account because someone has tried to steal money out of my account before and my bank's fraud dept called me and I switched card so meaning customer service through BeenVerified is lying. So how in the hell did customer service get my new card info? Not happy with them now. I have to file another dispute with my banker because this was all unauthorize. Then I basically was called a liar through BeenVerified that stole my info to my new bank card. Flat out dishonest. Would not suggest to anybody. Huge rip off.

Everything they provided was able to be obtained through a basic google search, save your money. They were not able to provide any criminal history. Relative connections were based off your approval. No work history. Didn't provide all prior residential addresses. Overall disappointed with their service and will no longer or will ever use them again.

I had purchased a trial membership to see what info was really provided... When I went to return to look up one more thing I could not get back into my account and when I had entered the email address that I used to sign up it never showed up in my mail in ANY folder and I could not cancel my subscription at all and I got charged... So I'm paying for something I can't use or not interested in. ALSO whomever you get your reports from are very misinformation. I have never lived in Texas... But yeah I cannot get into an account that I supposedly have but like I said I wanted to cancel before I got charged but that kind of hard when you can't log in.

Completely false advertising. Website says you can pay for 1 month: $22.86 or 3 months $14.86 per month or 6 months $9.80 per month. I only needed 2-3 reports so I bought the 1 month subscription. They charged me $22.86 for 4 months!!! When I called customer support, they told me it was only a payment option. If you pay for 3 months upfront you get a discount. Apparently it's all spelled out in the 8,000-word Terms and Conditions (which they KNOW nobody is going to read, In fact the service rep had an immediate pre-planned response to my problem). I told them I wanted a refund and he said he would see what he could do. In the end, they only refunded me 1 month!!!
And here's the icing on the crap cake, NONE of their records or searches found the people I was looking for anyway. After a week of using BeenVerified, I went to White Pages and found all of them in one day. What a horrible experience. PLEASE DON'T BE FOOLED BY THIS COMPANY! You'll read all these testimonials on their website, but they're bull crap. The site didn't help me find ANY of the records I needed, not even one.

Was harassed when trying to cancel. They make you cancel numerous times before cancel is accepted or completed. Also, their records are never up to date as they only update from somebody else's records once a month and those records are sometimes only updated once every six months.

This site does well with getting addresses and social media presence. They want to pay more for basic info readily available on other background checking sites. I was a one-time user and immediately canceled the subscription. I’m assuming the cancellation request was not received? Today I see I was billed $44.58. I returned to the site to see if there had been any improvement but unfortunately no. Sites like Truthfinder have much more complete info. Such as marriages/divorces, minor legal issues, property ownership, etc. without extra charges. I sent an email today canceling my membership and did receive a confirmation.

This company makes you watch as they pretend to dig up confidential information that you could never find on your own. You pay for a membership, thinking you're going to learn a lot. You finally get to see what they found, except that everything that is important is marked PREMIUM INFORMATION! I am trying to find out if a mystery second-cousin is legit. She found us via Ancestry, but until now, none of my cousins had ever had children. They are all males---which would mean somebody fathered a child nobody knew about.
The contacting second-cousin has many aliases. Her age would point to a certain time period that could be right. She was adopted--this ridiculous scan gave her age and birthdate--no birth PLACE, no birth PARENTS, no ADOPTIVE PARENTS, nothing. If BeenVerified thinks I'm going to click on PREMIUM information and find out what very well could be NOTHING MORE, they're crazy! What you get is a month-long membership, which sounds like a good deal. Then you find out you won't get squat till you click on a premium report. BAD---save your money!

Signed up for 3 months but it only took me 10 minutes to see this isn't worth my time. Multiple people show up that are not the one you are looking for. You can supply them with name, middle name, last name, state, age of person and many times can't get the right one. Don't know where they are getting their info. Many more addresses, emails, etc that are someone else's. Tried to get a receipt to verify my purchase but can't even get that from the company. Going to try to get my money back.

I used the BeenVerified service in July 2017. I was actually pleased with the service and had recommended them but then found out they scammed me and have been charging my card ever since. I emailed them within 30 days to cancel my subscription and they continue to charge me. There is no way to delete your credit card once you enter it... so DON'T.

I paid for this service and am so sorry I did! I tried looking up people I wanted to get in touch with again and there was NEVER enough information unless I wanted to pay more to get it! And pay more for each person every time! So I then started looking up people I knew. OMG! Wrong addresses, email addresses, phone numbers. Said they had no media accounts when I know they do or that they owned no property and I know they do! I emailed them, requested cancel and refund because I would not recommend them to anyone unless they do! You would need to be very rich to get all the information you're looking for and hope that it is correct! Also note! You cannot go to your account and remove your credit card information either. You're locked out of doing so!

They made it seem like I'd get more information as a subscriber, then when I subscribed I got nothing new except prompts to buy more services that could supposedly get me the information I wanted. I needed this one time to find out information on someone with a felony who we had a business relationship with. Got what I understood to be a one-time report. Apparently, in fine print, they tell you that a one time use is actually a subscription, and a costly one at that. It wasn't until I found an unexpected bill on my Visa card that I realized I'd been tricked (I'm an attorney so usually don't fall for these things) and tried to cancel. Not easy. Nothing on the site that allows it. In fact, it's hard to find that it's an evergreen unless you do something. One must phone to cancel. That's not easy to find either. Horrible! I lost time and money to this scam and recommend that people find another way to get information about those they need to investigate.

"BeenVerified" company themselves have little worth when it comes to verifying a site/company. I trusted their word on 2 companies that, in my end result caused HORRIBLE EXPERIENCES (Justanswer.com & Sellyourgold.com). Each were accredited as being verified, LEGITIMATE and trusted. Justanswer.com appraisals were not accurate appraisals. I was told there is NO WAY for them to accurately appraise an item with PHYSICALLY seeing an item. Yet the site advertises they appraise items CHARGING A FEE and are authentic and HAVE BEEN VERIFIED AS TRUSTWORTHY and ACCURATE! Not so!
I paid for appraisals and placed items for sale on the market and opened myself up to hurling insults and accusations as being dishonest. I removed my items immediately, although I posted the appraisals to prove I was legit I removed the rest of my items to avoid reprisals. Sellyourgold.com. (After turning down their ridiculous lowball offer on over 140 items) returned all my items CRAMMED INTO AN 8×10 ENVELOPE. DESTROYED my jewelry, collector coins, changed out stones, ruined collector values, "lost" 18 1/2 k Gold sheets, Original paperwork to items as well as ALL ORIGINAL BOXES, CONTAINERS AND COIN BINDERS! BEENVERIFIED HAS NO VALUE. CONSUMER BEWARE.

As per their Opt out policy, I provided an email with all pertinent information, First & last, Middle initial, aliases, current city & state, locations, age, DOB, relatives, & the URL I found all the info on (half was incorrect & had nothing to do with me). I received an email from them to verify the person they chose is correct. LOL, wrong state, 17 years younger than me, not 1 relative that I sent. No option in the email to say "wrong person" ~ so, back to the website I go to start over & can't start again because there's already a request. Even better, is I went through all of this roughly 3 years ago & I'll be doggone if they didn't re-harvest info & put it back up on their site with added people & places I've never lived or known.

I had a problem with somebody on social media posting sensitive information on the "Next Door" app. I needed to get some info on who was posting it. I went to BeenVerified. I entered my information and it gave me an offer to a 5 day trial for $1. After filling out some more info it said I used my $1 offer in the past. I was not going to pay $30.00. So I choose another website. I was billed anyway. I tried to log on. I didn't have an account. I called up to get a refund. The guy said he refunded the money. 12 hours later it is not in my account. I called Wells Fargo and put in a claim. I record all my phone calls. I called BeenVerified back and the guy said it can take up to a week. He also said I looked up somebody and I have to pay $30. I told him the first thing you do put in somebody's name. They don't give you the info unless you pay. My next call or email is to Pam Bondi's office. She is fantastic on following up on scams. Wells Fargo too.

In February of 2018, I signed up for a one time use of this service, NOT A SUBSCRIPTION. I was charged as if I had signed up for a subscription for seven (7) additional months. I called to get a refund, and was denied a refund by a customer service agent named Ashley. I was told that even though I had signed up for a one time use, in the "Terms and Conditions" I had agreed to a subscription. I explained to Ashley that it was illegal to be deceptive and to bury a subscription in the Terms and Conditions if the customer explicitly did not sign up for a subscription, but a one time use. I bought a monthly subscription for this service for my job. I work in a local homeless shelter and it has helped me track down some of my clients' family members, research properties and assist my clients in understanding the need for honesty when I am assisting them. I even used this for my own personal use in researching a home that I was renting, and one that I was looking at purchasing. I was impressed by the information I could find on this. I kept this service for about 7 months when I decided to cancel it, because I had a job change.
Probably the most amazing thing to me was how EASY it was to cancel it. I was delaying canceling for the longest time, because I thought I'd have to spend hours on the phone. But it was a quick automated system. I just canceled my subscription a few moments ago and I had a monthly subscription, so I am unsure if it will go through, but if it does I would highly recommend this company to any and all of my friends and co-workers (in fact some of my co-workers used it and liked it as well). It's a decent background system that has an app and a website, and it is relatively inexpensive. I am still blown away at how easy the cancellation process was, almost so much so that I want to give this place more of my business.

I did the initial $1 fee on Aug 29th. Was not happy with the little information I received. Canceled within the stated time frame. However was charged $26.89 on Sept 4th. Contacted BeenVerified that I should not have been charged and now on Oct 3rd I have been charged an additional $26.89. I am not at all happy with this company.

I do not understand why he has bad magazines. This system is wonderful. We had a missing guy in the United States for 7 years, we tried all the means to find it until I found this application. Fortunately, he gave us all the information, including that he was already dead. Even though it was difficult to attack this application, the direction coincided with the data that the family had. We were able to verify that it was the. The use policies are clear about the information they give and that you have to pay more if you want more information. The customer service has been excellent, I recommend this application.

I just created an account last night not even 24 hours ago thinking I was going to see a full report because it said I was going to get one. Turns out this company tricked me good and I’m so disappointed in thinking this was going to be a reliable website as it was the website that was continually recommended in my search engine. In order to get the full report I had to pay MORE money!!! I spent 22.86 on false advertising! Wish they were more clear with what you actually get! I would have never made this purchase had I known.

I signed up for the trial in order to help out a friend. Since then I've been attempting to cancel my account. This was over a month ago. They are still attempting to debit my account and I keep reporting it as a fraudulent transaction. Do not use this service.

I needed a driver’s license number for myself, from the last state I lived in. I fell for it... found the website, assumed that they could pull it up, set about $40 on fire. I am more disappointed in myself really...I fell for a scam.

So if I had gone with their report I would have hired a felon with assault charges and several others involving drugs!!! Their current address was even wrong. Every piece of info reported by them I had already found for FREE with a few online searches. This woman was far from the "Upstanding citizen" they told me she was. If I had hired her I would be filing charges right now. Have requested a full refund, will see if I get it or not. Very unhappy, would not have given any star if it had been an option! My rating is a STAR-minus.

I had sign up the service 30 minutes, the website sound like everything you search will be included which is misleading. If you need criminal report that will be extra charge from 25 to 70 dollars, depended on which court you select. BEWARE, if that is what you need. The website will be useless for you, all information they provided you can find out on Google. Search nothing else.

I signed up for the dollar free trial on a Thursday and have been trying since then to cancel the account but the number that they have for support is useless. Can't log into my account on their webpage and the email for support is invalid. I will be looking into file a complaint if I can't get them to cancel my account before I start getting charged. For me it's been a total rip-off experience.

I had found a criminal history through a the justice department but was looking for more, checked for best background check on a search engine and this waste of time's ad came out on top. Obviously it was them gaming the search engine, I got nothing valuable and what I already had from the court records didn't show up but there were "locked" areas that I could open for more money. Total ripoff. I canceled immediately and want my money back.

The types of offenses can include felonies, misdemeanors, and even traffic incidents in some cases. Positive or false matches in criminal searches may not provide confirmation of an individual's criminal background. It is important to use caution whenever reviewing this kind of information.

Such a bunch of BS! Every time I put in a phone number they had nothing...then lure you back with emails and messages saying "We have new information on said number". I want my money back for this BS service! I tried finding out info about a number that was sending me threats and they just kept leading me on. Don't waste your time or money!
