    The BeenVerified co. Does nothing but ripping off the customers! They charge me for permanent subscription of account without my permission! So obviously that's a ripping off the customers! I don't want to any more details exactly the same way that this company doesn't have a customer service phone line to talk to customers!

    I am delighted to share my experience with BeenVerified. Being 82 I don't know why I purchased a used car online from a dealership 600 miles away; however, the vehicle appeared to be exactly what I needed for extra family transportation. I looked at the BeenVerified website and, having limited tech skills, found it to be clear, detailed and easy to navigate. I chose to run the VIN & the BeenVerified report indicated no issues, no accidents, no recalls, nothing wrong, so I made the online purchase since I was 600 miles away. Unfortunately, there was a lot wrong, costing me $2200 in repairs.

    I emailed BeenVerified feeling the car was misrepresented. The next morning I received an email from their Customer Care representative explaining how their process works which made sense to me. The rep was empathetic, understanding, professional and made me feel valued. In this mostly impersonal online communication era, to have a business be not only prompt but also personal, was outstanding.

    Hello, I signed up for a free trial offer. During this time, I searched a ridiculous number of records on your site. My concerns, out of all the family, friends, associates, properties, etc., every type of search I could access. I followed any/all links. And, Every Search had notable errors. Not a simple minor error. I do not find your company’s sources reliable in any manner. I referenced your site from Scamfish/ Catfish on YouTube. That frightens me. I hope you are able to implement tools, resources & sources more accurately.

    The company used $1 as a bait to trick people for initial 1 week trial subscription. Unlike other online services providers, BeenVerified would never refund the full price after trial period [with no reminder] after the trial subscription has run out and full price window started kicking in. This is a SCAM for sure.

    Opened account in which they told me card was invalid and refused to give me their results. Then, they charged me $35 plus for the review-SIX TIMES. It added up to almost $200 for nothing, after they had advertised the service for $1. So, I contacted their bot, who tortured me for 30 minutes before turning me over to a "person" (?) who was an idiot and took 5 minutes for her every response, but then when I had to look up an answer to a meaningless question, she "closed" me. Eventually, I had someone else who asked me meaningless questions (address, ph #) and finally told me there was no record of my existence today. When I demanded a refund, he closed me, again.

    Nothing that they have in file is accurate. I tried the trial version for $5. They charged me $33 for useless data. I requested my money back and they declined it. Don't get a trial. It's a trap. They don't answer phones. The phones don't even ring and don't answer emails. I'm trying to contact them through PayPal. But PayPal is also being useless, don't use PayPal for payments, people! They favor crooks like BeenVerified. I would give this a -5 star review if it was available.

    Beenverified's customer service (outsourced) is in the toilet! The login page does not acknowledge passwords, so I always have to request the "one-time magic link." The magic link most of the time comes through in a few moments. Today, it never came through, so I called customer service. After wasting 30 mins. of my life on the phone with someone who kept apologizing for the inconvenience, she would not send me the magic link until I verified the specific dates and amounts that my credit card was charged! I had to log into my bank/credit card to provide each charge and date for the last 3 months!!!

    Outrageous that I am paying for a crappy service and cannot access the information that I need without going through a bunch of BS! They used to have great customer service, but be warned, you are calling the other side of the world, and the customer service is like dealing with a young child who lacks any training at all to assist long-standing customers. Time to look for another company.

    I used the service once. I checked on 4 people. Two that I knew very little about and two that I knew a lot about. This service charged me a 1.00 for signing up for the 7 day trial. Some of the information was not accurate at all and this was for all of the 4 people including one of those people being myself. I canceled the same hour after I viewed the misleading information about myself, It lost credibility after that.

    On7/03/25 I created an account with BeenVerified so that I could learn more about one of my Care provider. I begin to feel unsafe around her and wanted to know more about her. After giving them her name, phone number, place of employment, location to work with and my credit card information I asked them to begin a background check on her so that I could feel safe with her in my home. The first background check on her gave me information on everyone in the United States that shared her name, along with everyone she was related to. But nothing about her. When I contracted customer service to complain they told me that they couldn't help me because I was using the information to determine whether to hire her or not.

    I explained to them that she was already under my employment and that I was using the information so that I could feel safe with her in my home. I could not get them to understand that, they just closed my account and gave me a refund. They offered me no help of any kind. So now I must continue to worry about my safety. I gave them the worsted rating that I could, I gave them the worsted written review that I could and I recommend that no one use their service under any circumstances because they would be sorry. I hope that many potential customers read my review and looks elsewhere for help. I hope that this review will spare someone the grief that I went through.

    My experience while using Verified has been absolutely amazing. Without the help from the service I would have not been able to find any information close to what I was looking for. So let's back it up just slightly about 4 to 5 months ago I picked up an incredible classic hot rod from a gentleman in his late '80s. Unfortunately the man had left and nobody was able to get a hold of him or find him or anything. The old phone number that was tied to the vehicle was no longer in service so I didn't have much to go on unfortunately however, I tried doing back then searches and things like that but because the vehicle is and it's '50s, the vehicle is unfortunately way too old to do a VIN check to find the original owner. So using your services I was able to find the person that I was looking for.

    However, unfortunately he has passed away but on better news with verified they give you family members of the person that you might be searching for. So not only did I get the original owner's first and last name and age and name of business. But I also got a few of his clothes related family members which is absolutely so helpful. Without the help from you guys, I would have not known where else to go. Thank you so much for providing such incredible services. I definitely will recommend this to anybody who is in need and searching for more information on somebody, especially if it comes down to somebody being catfished.     Ordered a 1.00 search. Denied any subscription and even cancelled their attempt to bill me later. They did bill me anyway, even though I clearly denied it, nor did I use it. But boom, 29 days later, they billed me. The day they deducted the service, I emailed and asked for a refund and advised of the issue. Oh, they emailed back acknowledging the cancellation (they bill in advance), but never acknowledged a refund and advised. 48 hours later, crickets. 72 hours later, reminding them, still crickets. Scam billing. Unethical. I will remind them every day. I want my money back. Unprofessional billing and horrible customer service. Never give them your bankcard. Pay prepaid, I should have done so.

    The agent came off as very rude. He was condescending and insinuated that I was going to make up a fraud claim with my bank. When you can go back and read the transcript of the transaction I wasn’t trying to do that. I was trying to reiterate the fact that I was only using the chat feature to avoid calling my bank for FUTURE charges. I understood that I forgot to cancel the trail, never once did I bring up wanting my money back. That was all his thinking! It was just plain rude and he even stopped mid conversation to make sure that I wasn’t going to go back with my bank to dispute the charges.

    It was my experience that they couldn’t get a single thing right with my family. Put in my grandfather and it showed just a few relatives, couldn’t my father or any of our family. Didn’t even have my grandmother in there. They make it hard to cancel then charged me $:35. Forget the money, product sucks.

    I signed up for what I thought was a 7 day membership for a dollar. On day 9, there was a charge for nearly $30 on my Amex account. Apparently, it was a 7 day trial that would result in recurring monthly charges if not canceled. I contacted customer service and explained my mistake and they graciously canceled the transaction and refunded me the full amount. Many companies wouldn’t have been as accommodating with fixing my error so I feel it is important to acknowledge their exemplary service.

    I wish there was more than just what can be found. Not entirely accurate either which kind of sucks. I like that it offers so much though. What you can find is interesting but, like most sites, it never goes past grandparents. I couldn't find A LOT of the family I know I have either.

    I started the subscription with the intent of using it once and canceling after a while. Like many people I'm sure I forgot to cancel it and the subscription kept running.
