Volkswagen recalls Atlas PA2s and Atlas Cross Sport PAs

Volkswagen Group of America is recalling 2,018 model year 2024 Atlas PA2s and Atlas Cross Sport PAs.

The engine connecting rod bearings may become damaged, which can result in engine failure.

An engine failure and a stall increases the risk of a crash.

In addition, engine failure may cause an oil leak which can increase the risk of a fire.

What to do

Dealers will inspect and -- if necessary -- replace the engine free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 20, 2023.
