Quote did not represent anything related to the billing procedure. Movers billed us for the time spent digging through our trash for items to take. I timed the entire event from the moment the truck pulled up to the moment I was asked if they were done and my response clearly indicated they had finished the job. They took apart my kitchen table and took 20 minutes putting it back together with a multi tool; probably best left in your tackle box. Not being able to put my $900 table back together is not what I had in mind. Most of the time when I saw the workers, they weren't engaging in work. I could have carried everything myself in twice the time, but then I wouldn't have had to worry about damage to walls and the poor experience. I would rather die than ever consider using their "services" again. Do yourself a solid and hire the kids in your neighborhood.

Showed up early and were polite. Everything is good so far. I walk the driver around, showing them what needs to be moved. Part of the load is in a barn so I show him the gravel road to be used so that he will not get stuck. I stress to him that it has been raining and that he must stay on the road. 15 minutes later, a knock at my door. Driver says "I have bad news." He explains that he felt like he needed to drive into the field to turn around because he thought the ground was too soft. Of course he got stuck immediately after leaving the road. (If I could include pictures here I would put one of his truck sunk up to the frame at the drivers front tire.) Approx. 2 hours later, the tow truck is gone and the mover doesn't want to drive back to the barn on the road now. He decides to carry the stuff 200 feet to his truck. (This adds time that they suddenly want to charge me for.) Whatever, I agree just to keep things moving.

Later that afternoon around 5 PM they finish up loading their truck. I explain to him that my wife and my son will lead them in her truck to the drop off location so it will be easier to find. Everyone agrees. Driver ask if my wife minds if they stop at the gas station store on the way so they can get a bite to eat. "No Problem." She has to get gas anyway. My wife pulls into the station and starts filling her truck. Movers parked in the parking lot of the station. My wife finishes getting gas and looks for the truck. It is nowhere to be seen now. Apparently, they were having mechanical problems and decided to just go back to their home location and swap trucks. They didn't have my wife's cell number so they didn't bother to get out of the truck and walk over and tell her where they were going.

Fast forward to somewhere late in the evening between 9-11 PM. My cell phone rings and it is the driver saying he is having trouble finding the road to my place. We explain over the phone until he finds the road. This takes about 20 minutes. I gave him exact directions. (Drive down road until you come to a "Y". Take the road to the RIGHT.) Guess what... my phone rings again about 20 minutes later. He starts explaining the house to me that is down the LEFT road. Now he has to back out down the road. He notices the right turn he should have taken but tells me he has decided to back up the extra 1/3 of a mile and just start over. (Ugh... I'm still on the phone trying to get this guy where he needs to be.)

He finally, after a bit of arguing, makes it to the metal building they are suppose to put my shop tools inside. INSTEAD... these idiots set $30,000 dollars worth of shop and wood working tools OUTSIDE in the weather because who doesn't think that is a good idea. Not only that, they decide that it is not even important enough to call me and tell me they didn't put this stuff in the building even though they managed to call me about every other idiotic thing they could think of. They didn't just stack it either, they piled it in a pile out in the weather. Again, I would post pictures of this if possible.

Now, after talking it over with the local and corporate offices, they have decided that their best course of action is to refuse to do anything at all. I would give them negative stars if possible. USE THESE IRRESPONSIBLE IDIOTS AT YOUR OWN RISK! Better yet, save the time and money and just throw your stuff out in the yard.

I had Two Men And a Truck move me about 3 miles from where I was staying. It was raining. The men carried my mattress in without a cover over it, got it soaking wet, carried in 48 inch TV, put a chip in the screen which broke it. I called the company. They started making excuses and would not make things right.

We hired Two Men and a Truck for packing, moving and unpacking service. Someone came to our house to review everything that needed to be moved and to provide an estimate. On the move day we find out that they screwed up on dates (instead of packing Friday and moving Saturday, they had it for packing Saturday and moving Sunday). After this mishap... movers came on Saturday and were surprised that we needed wardrobe boxes, dish pack etc... Even though all of that was included in estimate. They also kept telling us the items they would not move or that they can't guarantee that it won't break during transport.

The movers spent about 2.5 hours on Saturday packing and said rest will be packed on Sunday when they bring the wardrobe boxes and dish packs and that it would take about 1.5 hour on Sunday. They show up on Sunday with just thicker boxes (not the wardrobe boxes with things to hang etc), didn't bring dish rack boxes. It took them over 5 hours to pack everything (a lot of time wasted as significant amount of those things could have been packed on Saturday). When they unloaded items at the new place, everything was done in a rush and extremely carelessly. They dented our brand new wall in the house, they ruined our bed, scuffed up both our dressers. They put the beds together and unwrapped the sofa. That's it and off they went. They didn't unpack anything else even though unpacking was included in the quote.

The nightmare began when we started to unpack boxes. Kitchen items were just thrown in boxes with no wrapping. The food items were mixed with cleaning supplies. Nothing was taped so half the food spilled in the boxes. Several of our glasses were broken. Some of the items were dinged and chipped since nothing was wrapped. Clothes were just shoved in boxes along with all the dirty items. Every single box was packed with no care or regard for our items. As the movers moved items in the house... they didn't bother covering the floors or wearing any protective things over their shoes and thus ruining all of our floors. The list can go on and on about extreme carelessness with this move.

Overall, it will take us weeks, cost us money in getting all of our clothes dry cleaned and laundered, cost us money in hiring a maid to clean the house top down again and get the walls fixed. I would highly dissuade anyone from considering them for their next move. Pay a little etc and go with another larger reputable service for the move.

I have no problem with what was moved for us. My problem is that Two Men and a Truck called me ahead of time to estimate the amount of stuff I had. They asked numerous questions, which should have realistically given them a pretty good idea. They said I would need one full truck and two or three men. On the day of the move, they came out and filled their truck with about half my stuff and said I would have to pay the same amount to move the rest. So it would have cost double what they quoted me. Instead, I had to rent a truck of about the same size, load it, and unload it myself. Try that sometime on your weekend off! I would never use Two Men And a Truck again and could never recommend them to anyone that I don't hate.

They made us go ahead to the new house and when we went back the house smelled like pot. The one mover even told us he does drugs and never went through a background check. We were told they fired the two guys and were going to reimburse us for the move and damages. Today they offered us $800.00. The original moving quote was for $1K but we were charged almost $2K! An antique armoire over 100 years old from my father as a wedding present in 1983 destroyed with pieces missing, this is something That can never be replaced and he is now gone.

Our items were thrown in the garage, basement, etc broken and since it was dark by the time they got there we could not see thing until the morning and then going back to the old house was a nightmare. We have over $18K in damages but money can't bring back the armoire my father bought me as a wedding present. We even bought these guys dinner since they said they would come back and finish. Then the 2 guys said not to tell the owners but they would come back and finish the move on that Sunday for $300.00. It was after 8 pm when they finished even though they started at 8 am. We could not see all the damage in the dark until morning. Never got reimbursed either! Then the next set of their movers came out and even said they could not believe all the damage the 2 guys had done! Nice to know their movers do drugs! Also sad that they take advantage of seniors with cancer and mental health issues!!!

My things sat on the truck for a few weeks and during that time there was water damage to my belongings due to a hole in the roof of the truck. When I tried to contact the office about the damage, they ignored me until I disputed the credit card charge. That woke them up and we settled on a crappy amount. The worst part, my cc company sent me a copy of their dispute letter... a complete and utter lie about how they attempted to contact me. Where do I start? Most of my emotional damage occurred after finding they destroyed a Heirloom horse head made by my grandfather 75 years ago! To add insult to injury, Jason (big management in Tenn.) offered $150 for compensation. Don't use them, they don't care and they hire people that don't care to move your stuff! I am missing a lamp that was most likely thrown in the garbage when the movers went to lunch. I found pieces of the lamp on the driveway and never found the lamp at the new house. Who knows what else is missing at this point. When I told them I was taking them to court, they don't care; they are willing to let bad reviews like this happen instead of making things right.

Here goes... Broken heirloom - irreplaceable. Smashed in gutter from truck. Rock landscape wall collapsed from truck. Outdoor light fixture bent from truck. Broken and missing lamp. Another broken lamp. Holes in drywall. Armoire doors broken. Did not fit everything onto the truck and had to take a day off from work, rent truck to get it all moved. Things that were supposed to go into storage ended up at new house and vice a versa. James at the Loveland, CO store came out promptly and apologized and told me that we would not have to pay for the move. When I insisted that my damages were properly handled, I was told that I would have to pay for the move BEFORE any sort of settlement. Jason is the biggest joke of them all. STAY AWAY!

We received the details for our move day from the company and we responded immediately due to concerns the truck and equipment would not cover all the items in our move. We emailed a detailed list of the items we had and dimensions. No response to email or phone call. Sure enough, they weren't able to get all our items on their truck. We called them in hopes of it being made right and the only offer we were given was 20% off. This is unacceptable when a customer does their due diligence and the company can even respond to an email. Lack of planning on their part shouldn't constitute an emergency on our part.

Being dissatisfied with their response, I contacted the corporate office in hopes they could look at things from our perspective. The agent I spoke with was nice, but lead me to believe I could provide her with information (like the email we sent) before making a final decision. Nope. Just sent an emailing saying there was nothing further that could be done and that 20% was a good solution to their own error. I asked for further explanation, but no response. Again. Moving is stressful and Two Men and a Truck made it worse.

Moving from 4br 2 story home into single story 3 br home, 1 interim stop. Was quoted 7 to 8 hours move total at 110 an hour plus 120 travel charge. I was prepared for this timeframe and budget. Explained in detail OVER THE PHONE to the agent details of move, all bedroom furniture would be broken down and in the garage ready for pick up. This was 2 queen bed sets, with rails and headboard, 2 dressers 1 side table and 1 nightstand.

The only furniture that needed to be brought down was the KING size bedroom set from upstairs, the bed, night stands x2, chest of drawers, and dresser and mirror. When the movers arrived they appeared confused, my in-laws were there to let them in. I went over in detail with the original estimator on the phone at the time of my booking, so I don't understand how they did not know where to start. I had to leave work to go and show the movers what needed to be moved even though the company says they had a total of 38 items. I do not know why the movers had no idea where to start.

I will now detail the experience. After I came home, apparently it took them an hour or more to negotiate how to get the 3 pc sectional out the door (we got it in ourselves in under 20 minutes so I figured so called professionals could get it out certainly in less than an hour) more details on the sectional when it arrived on the other end. Huge waste of time #1 for an hourly job. NOW... the bedroom furniture. I was told to leave drawers in the dressers and they would wrap them. Well I did and they got the dresser stuck in the top of the stairs and had to go back and UNWRAP the drawers and carry them separately (I don't know how they thought they would get the entire dresser down that way anyway) so this was ANOTHER waste of time from trying to hurry up and not do the things the right way.

THEN the refrigerator, they wrapped it too, leaving the door handles on... well it would not fit outdoor either so then AGAIN another UNWRAPPING JOB to remove the handles. BELIEVE me they were in no hurry... UNTIL we finally got on the road at approximately 7 or 8ish... So this was already 5 hours and they 2 men complained and made so many excuses about EVERYTHING saying this was too hard this was not going to work... blah blah blah... They kept going on how the job was UNDERBID and there was not enough room on the truck, and then there was no way they were going to make it to the 2nd stop to pick up my dining room table because he could not drive after so many hours.

They were ready to give up on the sectional getting it into the new house, they INSISTED it would not fit. FORTUNATELY I was able to have a friend in the area who was bringing tools over to reassemble the bedroom furniture because the drivers/movers apparently broke theirs during the load up. So it took my husband and friend 15 minutes to get a plan to get the couch in and it was in shortly after their help. While my husband and friend took on the responsibility of assembling the furniture (a job that Two Men and A Truck were supposed to do.).

I am not sure what the actual workers I was paying for were doing, I think they brought in 2 chairs and a love seat and just Sat them in the middle of the room. So at the end of the day, they reassembled 1 sectional by screwing the legs back on, none of my other bedroom furniture was placed in the house just stacked in the garage. I have never heard people complain so much about their job and how this and that won't fit or work. I have contacted the corporate office and they say that any adjustments area made at a franchise level. I chose this company because I heard that they supported the American Cancer Society and the owner was a woman who started the company. NOW I learn it's a franchise. In the end, I know I owe for the work that was done and offered to pay 1/2 since I feel like 1/2 was done.

They offered to take 200 off of an 1100 bill. I declined, they threatened me and said they will be running my card today, I called my bank, canceled the cards out of this fear, and I told the rep Brenda and the person at the corporate that I would be canceling the cards until a reasonable settlement can be made. Then I was given the ultimatum pay with the discount they offered of 200 today or they will send my whole bill to collections. That was the last I could take. I am going to contact our legal service and see what they have to say. I think I may be able to sue them for pain and suffering. LOL:) NO I just want what is fair... 1/2 pay for 1/2 of service.

When I initially contacted Two Men and a Truck I gave a description of the items we needed to move, the details of the apartment we were moving from, and the details of the apartment we were moving into. I also mentioned that the move window that was given to us by building management at the new residence would be from 2-5 pm on Wednesday September 7th 2016. We agreed to an arrival window of 11 am-1 pm at our old residence in order to have ample time to get our items loaded and transported to the new residence before the 5 pm deadline.

I was emailed an initial quote that estimated a 5 hour move time at an hourly rate of $134. I contacted Two Men and a Truck customer service and voiced my concern over the 5 hour move time quoted, as I believed that 5 hours would not be necessary based on the fact that we would be pre packing all of our items (excluding our large items: bed frame, TVs, large shelving units etc.) I was assured that this was just an estimated time, and that we would only be charged for the total number of hours on the day of the move.

On September 7th 2016 the movers arrived at approximately 11:45 am. After going over a few documents, the moving crew started to compile our boxes and set them out into the hallway in order to load them into the elevator and out to the truck. The crew consisted of 3 guys, one who seemed to be a supervisor. The supervisor seemed to do the least amount of work, and was mostly on his phone during the load out of our items.

As the first hour and a half went by I started to get worried with the pace the crew was working at. We only had about 20 pre packed large boxes, 1 bed frame that needed to be disassembled, 2 Flat panel TVs, 1 Larger Projector TV, 2 shelving pieces, 2 tables, a desk, and 2 night stands that needed to be loaded into the truck. At times during the move there were long gaps that no items were being moved out of the apartment. We also witnessed the crew taking breaks in between the move and captured video footage. I raised my concern over the amount of time it was taking with the supervisor at around 230, as our load in time at the new residence was starting to dwindle. After raising my concern, the crew picked up the pace and we finally left the old residence at approximately 3:10 pm.

When we arrived at the new residence (approx. 3:30pm) building management reiterated that we needed to get all our items moved into the new apartment by 5 pm, or the remaining items would be left on the truck and a new move in date would have to be set. Upon hearing the news from the building manager 1 of the crew members started to sulk, and complain that the load in elevator was too far. At that time my boyfriend, who luckily also had a friend of his that met us at the new residence, instructed the crew to transport all the items to the hallway near the elevators and he and his friend would load up the elevator and bring the items into the apartment.

The process continued for the next hour and twenty five minutes. The moving crew would roll the items to the hallway, and my boyfriend and his friend would fill the elevator and then also carry the items into the apartment. As my boyfriend and his friend were still moving items into the new apartment, I called the company and asked to speak to a supervisor, and was transferred to multiple people. Luckily someone did call me back when the crew was still at the new residence.

At 4:55 all the items had been moved into the apartment. If it were not for my boyfriend and his friend, we would have never completed the move. I was told that they would be reviewing the information and I would be getting a call back from their supervisor by Friday, September 9th. I gave them a chance to call me. I called Two Men and a Truck on Monday, September 12th, and asked to speak to a supervisor, as I had not received a call back. I was once again transferred to multiple people, and when I finally got through to a manager he told me that he would be calling me back by 5 pm the next day. I specifically expressed my frustration and explained that I would be filing a dispute if I did not receive that phone call and he said, Okay. I did not receive a call on Tuesday so I filed a dispute on Wednesday morning.

Once all the items were in the apartment we inspected them and noticed a tear on two sides of our box spring, as well as some damage to our bed frame. We pointed out the damage to one of the three men, who was a supervisor, and he noted the damage on his paperwork. He also informed us that we would be getting a call from whoever is in charge, to be credited for the damage. Then, he asked me to sign and I explained to him that I had been communicating back and forth with Two Men and A Truck and since I was not happy with the move I did not want to sign just yet. He assured me that this is protocol to sign the paperwork and that I had to sign in order for them to leave.

Two Men and A Truck did not fulfill their duty to get our move completed within the time frame we requested. Two Men and A Truck have failed on multiple fronts, as well as making a false claim that our old residence was a walk up unit on the 3rd floor. There was an elevator that was specifically blocked for the load out. Judging by the initial estimated time that was quoted, it seems that they purposely delayed the move in order to rack up the hourly charges. On top of the negligence displayed by the moving crew, Two Men and A Truck also failed to remedy the damage that was caused on the day of the move. Their management team did not respond to our damage request, and until this day never contacted us to credit us for our damages.

In our initial request to dispute the charges, we were asked to receive multiple quotes from moving companies with the same parameters. Every company we contacted quoted a lower hourly rate, and a shorter estimated time for the overall move. It is my feeling that Two Men and A Truck were out to drive up costs, with no regard for services rendered. Please let me know if supplemental information is required. I have videos to support the claims that have been made.

We were downsizing so the furniture they had to move was minimal, but it did include my Ethan Allen farmhouse table. The surface of the table looks as though someone took the claw of a hammer and ran it across the table. I called the corporate office and got their "customer service" lady who said she would look into it. Two weeks later I received a call from a guy who fixes scratched furniture.

He came to our home, put his spit on the table and admitted he could only fix the scratches, not the gouges. He told me to contact the local office. I called them and they said they would get some estimates to refinish the table. Two weeks later, they called and said it was too expensive and told me they would fix the scratches, not the gouges. I called the corporate office again and spoke with "customer service" and they told me they would look into it. Three weeks later, I still have a ruined table and nothing has been resolved!

Our goal was to move the belongings out of our home and delivered to 2 addresses, not more than 2 miles apart - one address in Birmingham and the other in Troy, near Birmingham. When the movers arrived, the work order only had the Birmingham address on it and no mention of the 2nd delivery to Troy. I called Two Men And a Truck and inquired how this could have been messed up. Of course I was angry but civil. To my amazement, the woman I spoke with, Mary, in operations for the Troy location, informed me that nothing could be done to correct this. I explained that we were due to vacate the property by the following Friday, 2 days away. With her smarmy, condescending attitude, she was uncooperative at the least. I became more angry.

Meantime, the movers are moving all the stuff destined for the Birmingham move and were nearly 75% done with that aspect of the contract. Mary claimed that I was "threatening," and that she "didn't have time for that." In a fit of pique, she canceled not only the Troy move but the Birmingham move as well, prompting the 2 movers to bring EVERYTHING they had packed back into the house and dump it all in the living room. Dozens of boxes and furniture. We couldn't even get through the living room. Mary informed me to "Have a nice day, and get a new moving company." We did. Horrible service. Stay away from Two Men And a Truck.

The second day, I was told to wait patiently until they called. At 7:00 that night, we had not heard from them. I called the manager and left a message that we had been neglected again. The next day, the manager called and said her workers told her that I had told them to go home; I didn't need them. She realized after hearing my message that of course, they had lied. We finally hired another company.

I cannot say enough bad things about this company. The movers were SLOW. Moving a two bedroom house took nine hours! Total between destinations 2.5 miles. Even then, the destination was a storage unit - easy access, right? ALL of my furniture is damaged. Antique bed - footboard has one plank completely busted out of the frame. Full length antique mirror? Pedestal stand - wooden - snapped off and pieces are nowhere to be found. Antique secretary - gouges. Other furniture? Wood chunked off of picture frames, scratches, marring. Every piece.

They did not wrap the furniture before they put it into the truck, and when they delivered it to storage it was furniture on top of boxes on top of furniture. It literally looked like an episode of hoarders. I had to rent an additional unit to accommodate the lack of organization. There were boxes marked fragile and glass and breakable - put on the bottom of towers of items. DO NOT HIRE THESE MOVERS! I tried for two weeks to work out a resolution and they are simply not interested. Bad news. Horrible experience.

I lived in Tucson, AZ and had used Two Men And a Truck in Florida and AZ for local moves. In Tucson when I decided to move back to Florida, they stated they made interstate moves so I got an estimate and agreed on them. Instead they rented a Penske truck, did not shrink-wrap, box or cover expensive items like lamps, vases, etc. They also towed my car on a flatbed truck and somehow when taking it off the flatbed, put 7 miles on it when it was supposedly on a side street to my condo.

A $650.00 vase was smashed, and two other expensive pottery pieces were smashed. 1 floor lamp broken as well as two shades not boxed dirty with grease. My box springs and mattress had grease and dirty marks all over it with no covering or box which I asked for. A VCR, two teddy bears, several pieces of accessories were missing, my dining rattan chairs (all four damaged), door pulls broken on an armoire, metal TV stand broken and they threw it back into the truck. They left my iron, broom, mops, buckets and shower rod back at the apt in Tucson which were thrown out. My four poster black metal bed was marred and scratched down to the metal as well as a black bench. Even a plaque of The Lord's Prayer was missing or stolen.

I paid to pack and unpack and the guys would not take the boxes away and unpack and set up things where they said they would. They put all of the dishes wrapped in paper in the kitchen cabinets. I took photos of everything and called and asked for damage forms and the manager in Tucson said that someone would call me in a week or two. I will not hold my breath. Whatever you do, DO NOT GET TWO MEN AND A TRUCK TO MOVE YOU INTERSTATE! BEWARE

IT IS A SCAM! Here are just a couple of photos of damage.

Who does follow up for claims. They also broke off a piece of furniture that they did not replace but was left in their truck, Raymond had this with him and repaired it as well. The bill went to $1200. After all we hired this moving company based on reviews and a recommendation from one person. I have moved from 5 houses in my lifetime and always used well-known movers - North American, Allied. First of all the quote without looking at my actual residence was a little over 700 for 3 1/2 hours - 3 men.

They damaged my triple dresser. That is an antique. Put 3 gauges in the top of it, as well as putting their tools on top of it and not protecting it. They damaged my rocking chair which I had not noticed until the other day, all the spines of the back of the chair had popped out - I eventually found out how to fix it. They forgot to attach the back of my daybed and left with the screws to it, this was fixed by a man named Raymond as said and done. So much for moving 5 min. from my previous residence. They were in such a hurry to leave that they left their huge tool box on the top of my antique dresser that they damaged. They have contacted me to arrange to fix the dresser damage. Also made dents in the newly painted walls in my new place. I would never use them again or recommend to anyone. Not a good experience with this company at all.

We selected mover by our realtor's recommendation after receiving estimates from multiple movers. All other movers recommended minimum of 4 movers for the job since the home was 3800 sq feet. This mover provider estimate of 6-8 hours with 3 movers which included a stop at a storage unit. Early in the move, there was 1 mover wrapping furniture while 2 other movers were moving furniture to truck. This model initially worked early in the day when the assistant manager stopped by. He asked the veteran mover (wrapping furniture) if they thought the job could be done over next couple of hours and he said yes. The assistant manager walked around the house to see what was left to move around noon. After several more hours, they disclosed they would not be able to put all of the furniture in the truck and would need to stop by the storage unit 1st.

The assistant manager called back at this time to ask how it was going. We were at the 7 hour mark, and movers said this wouldn't take long. So I did not voice a concern at this time. However, unloading at the storage unit took over an hour and the movers had packed furniture further back in the truck requiring more time moving furniture around to get all items out. The movers were getting noticeably fatigued and required longer rest periods since it was primarily the same 2 movers making all of the lifts with the 3rd mover acting more as a supervisor and director of where to load and unload items. So we were paying for 3 movers, but were only receiving moving from 2 most of the time. Once we got back to the house to finish the furniture load, they then tell me they will need to remove front door to move refrigerator adding more time, but understandably.

The 2 lifting movers were winded, but still responsible for going upstairs to carry more furniture down. They started having more issues with running into walls and bringing furniture down and out of the house. Finally we left and I ended up moving items like rugs and pictures since it was now at the 9 hour mark. We got to the home for unloading and the 2 primary lifting movers were so fatigued they had difficulty lifting the items to bring into the 1 story house. I ended up assisting with a few lifts as their grips were giving out. Being so fatigued by being understaffed for the job prolonged the loading and unloading of the furniture. Extending the time to 11 3/4 hours for 2 movers with a 3rd assisting from time to time. However, by leaving only 2 primary workers, this caused a longer extension of billable time by the company instead of originally staffing with an adequate number causing the job to go an extra 3.75 hours.

I called to complain about this to the company and spoke with assistant manager and he stated he would have the manager call me on Friday August 12th. After not receiving a callback, I contacted the corporate office on Wednesday August 17, they indicated they would have manager call within 2 business days, but I have not received any further communication.

Movers went twice to old residence, getting to the new one at 09:45pm and exhausted. I asked for them to continue next day as they were (all 3 men in agreement) too tired to continue. We had to sleep on the floor as no furniture was delivered due to poor timing management. When I asked for a refund of the 3 hours that they went over, it was denied. After several weeks, Two Men And A Truck mailed me a check for the replacement cost of my stainless steel fridge door. It doesn't make amends for the insane hassle, but at least its something.

    Original Review: Aug. 6, 2016

We moved with Suwanee, GA's Two Men and Truck in May 2016. The company sent three guys for what we told them over the phone (and they agreed) was a large three story move. The guys show up on time, and things are going great. They are taking longer than expected, but there are only three. Toward the end of move out, they run out of wrapping supplies, leaving them unable to wrap the one piece we told them was most important to us. They also bang this piece against a wall. They loaf my $3K French door fridge last unwrapped. At the new house, three miles down the road, I can tell the guys are getting tired. Mistakes are happening... pieces being dragged, dents in hardwood flooring, a broken office piece, and a decision made to NOT move an existing fridge to install mine b/c it was a "liability" to move the existing piece. Instead they put my expensive fridge in the garage where I now notice a giant dent in the front door.

The move takes nearly 12 hours. I begin calling the local office immediately the next day. Since we paid for the insurance, getting the dent fixed won't be a problem, right? WRONG. I end up having to harass these people for about six weeks to get anyone's attention. Promises to return calls and follow up never happen. Claim is filed with the Marietta office incorrectly. They intend to order part and install when it comes in... it goes on and on and on... Finally after six weeks of this crap, a rep calls me and says "He doesn't wanna be caught in the middle anymore, so we are just gonna mail you a check for the damage." "THE MOVERS WHO CARE"... GIVE ME A BREAK!!!

We finally called at 3:50 pm to the Florida headquarters (no way to call the Portland office) to ask when the movers would be coming. We finally got a call about 4:30 pm from the driver saying they would be there about 6:00 pm. Since I now had the driver's phone number I tried to check back to see when they would call. We never got a return call. At 7:45 pm we got a call from someone in Portland stating that no one would be coming and that they might be able to move us the end of the following week. I told them we had sold our house and we had to be out by the end of day on Monday.

He said he was sorry but could offer no other help. By the way, they already had collected a deposit from me of $100 on my credit account. My husband and I are in our 60's and needless to say, we were furious. We scrambled and managed to call in favors and got done what we needed to do by asking for help from young men in my husband's company and renting a truck at Home Depot. I gave them an inventory of everything that needed to be moved & I received a quote for 2 men & it was 9.5-10.5 hrs @ $1,200-$1,300. A couple of days later we received another quote for 3 men @ 6.5-7.5 hrs @ $1,100-$1,300 & we chose the 3 men. In the meantime I sold several heavy pieces of furniture that had been on the inventory. On the day of the move the 3 guys came & throughout the whole day they did a lot of standing around complaining & talking about what they had to move instead of working. In the end it took them 13 hrs & they broke & damaged several pieces of furniture, which included a tv, refrigerator, washer & dryer.

They also broke a pane of decorative glass that was in a China cabinet & they put a hole in a closet door. The pane of glass that was broken can't be recreated & there are 9 panes so in order to fix we have to try & get all 9 replaced with something different at a cost of upwards of $1,500-2,500. In addition, they had to take off refrigerator doors & connect water line to the refrigerator & they didn't know how. We have a Tempur-pedic adjustable bed & they didn't know how to put it together. One of the guys got mad & walked out & never came back in to finish. They also charged me a deposit before the move & then never credited me for it until I complained to them about 3 times. We had to have our son come the next day & put the refrigerator back together again. They didn't know how to connect the washer.

We moved on May 28th & I've probably called them at least 4 times & emailed 3 or 4 times. It is July 6 & I was told today that they would send us a check for $425. In the end, they charged us almost $2,300 which is twice as much as we were quoted. It's not our fault that they sent such inexperienced people to move us and for them not to even do more for us is terrible. Their business slogan is the movers that care. They obviously don't!

Warning! Do not use this company. We hired the one out of St. Louis area. Basically, what this company is, they hire 18-23 year olds for a summer job. No training, no supervision, nothing. They send them over and it's up to you to be their "supervisor". There is a kid with a clipboard, but that's as close to supervising as you will get. So, these guys basically stand around looking at each other hoping the other one will do the work. They pick up your stuff and ask you what it is. Once I went to the basement and they were all standing around doing nothing, and they got scared and perked up, and started making up things that they were doing as if they were really working the whole time.

One guy picked up a car antenna and asked me what it was for. My ammunition box was opened, they looked in it. Not sure what else they went through??? I couldn't find them half the time. They tell you they won't pick up certain things. After an hour or two you realize that your house is not actually changed, they aren't doing anything. So, we know the new owners of the house will be showing up. So we ended up doing 35% of the work ourselves. My wife and I frantically ran around the house trying to pack things and get out of the house. Several times we were told we would have to disassemble items or they wouldn't fit out the door. Minutes later my dad and I would carry the thing out the door just fine, no dis-assembly. All we could figure is that they were either really stupid or really lazy. Probably both.

We told the "movers" we need everything out of the house, but once their small truck was filled up, they left us with many items in the house. Again, we had to frantically move out the remaining tables, chairs items that they did not get as they got in their truck and left for break. Half of our household items wouldn't fit in their truck so they left them out in the yard of our old home for several hours while they went to lunch and made a trip to our new house. When these "movers' arrived to our new house, they had trouble figuring out which door to go into. They told us that none of the doors would work to bring furniture in and left it at that. My wife and I called Two Men and Truck to complain and send out a supervisor as the young kids that were "moving" us sat around confused.

At the end of the day they just emptied our stuff into the driveway and garage and left. We had to move the boxes and everything into our new house. Every box, everything was just dropped in a mess. Rotten stinking company, NEVER USE Them, the DO NOT CARE AT ALL. The pictures provided are items they did NOT carry out of the house or stuff they left in the yard that we had to carry. They simply did not take them at all. We had to do it ourselves.

I would give TWO MEN AND A TRUCK IN SAN DIEGO 0 stars if I could. I have moved 18 times in my life and never have I had such an awful experience. First of all, it took two men 90 minutes to remove a headboard from a frame and load the following: a queen size mattress and box spring (split) and headboard, a sleeper sofa, a tiny filing cabinet, a small glass table, and three 3 boxes and two trash bags with bedding in it. In the process of loading the sleeper sofa they gashed the door frame and put the sofa upside down on a dolly and dragged the one arm across the asphalt and put a big tear in the arm of my $1400 sofa. I left a little before them to get to the storage unit and they claimed it took them 27 minutes to drive 6.5 miles.

I just made the trip 30 minutes before them (they were still loading the sofa when I left) and it took me 12 minutes. That would make his speed about 15 mph and half of the 6.5 mile trip was on the 15. Of course there is a financial advantage to pad the travel time because the travel time from point A to Point B is doubled by CA law. Not only that but my roommate texted me when they left the house and I know when they arrived at the storage unit. Simple fact, they lied about the time. So they charged me 54 minutes of travel time for a 6.5 mile move. Until it was all said and done, they wanted to charge me 3.5 hours to move a sofa, a bed, two VERY small pieces of furniture and 3 boxes and two garbage bags going only 6.5 miles.

Now, here comes the most insulting part of this entire experience. First of all, the movers tried to hide the fact that they had damaged my sofa. The damage was on the back top of the arm. When it came off of the truck it was on the dolly UPSIDE DOWN and the damage was concealed. Hmmm. Yep, they were going to just slide it right into that storage unit and I would be none the wiser. As irritated as I was with how slowly they were moving, that $40 tip was still in my pocket and I planned on giving it to them UNTIL I realized they tried to conceal the damage they had done. Okay now just to add insult to injury, the company wanted to give me $25 for my damaged sofa bed and no one said a word about the damaged door frame even though I had sent the company pictures of the damage. The insurance covers .66 per lb.

Who in their right mind would think a sleeper sofa weighs less than a small child (38 lbs. in fact). Then the driver refused to give me any paperwork because I refused to sign anything until I spoke to the office. When I did speak to the office they asked me to give them 5 business days to have someone get in touch me. I actually gave them 10 business days. It has been 2 weeks since the move and I can't even get a call back to file a claim for the measly $160 the insurance covers. Neither the movers nor the company have handled this professionally and you will be making a HUGE MISTAKE if you use Two Men and A Truck. Take if from someone with 18 moving experiences.

This was far the worst experience I have ever had moving. My belongings were lost, broken, and one item was even left behind at my old apartment. The movers took apart my bed at my old apartment, and placed the hardware in a plastic bag. When we arrived at the new house, they claimed that they must have left the hardware at the old apartment, so they could not put the bed back together. When I went back to my old apartment later that night, there was no bag, and no hardware. I called Two Men and a Truck, and the people I spoke to initially were very apologetic, helpful and friendly. They connected me with an operations manager, and his assistant.

The operations manager came to my house soon after to look at the bed, and figure out what he would need to put it back together. He took pictures, and said he would be back out later that week. He claimed that he tried to contact West Elm to get the parts for the bed from them, and the bed was no longer carried by West Elm, so he would have to go to the hardware store and buy the pieces individually. This is not true, the bed is still on the website for West Elm, and was just advertised in an e-mail that West Elm sent to me. I didn't hear back from the operations manager for over a week, and my phone calls were not returned. It has been 3 weeks now, and I still have a bed that is in pieces on my floor.

One floor lamp was broken during the move, the movers pulled the cord off of the lamp, and said they would take it to the factory to be fixed, and return it to me. I have not heard anything about the lamp. The bottom door on my entertainment stand was ripped off the hinges, and the movers did not even bother to tell me about this. I also noticed that my cat's large climbing tree had not been delivered to my new house, and I was sure they had taken it. When I went back to my apartment that night, I found the climbing tree on the side of the road where the movers had been packing the truck. I paid a lot of money to use this company, and thought I was going to get a quality service.

The company sent 3 boys and a truck. They did not have a leader nor did they have any work ethic. After more than 6 hours and the job half done we told them to unload the truck into the garage and leave... Suddenly they managed to unload rather quickly. With our house damaged and half the job to complete - along with the $1300.00 bill our emotions were beyond words.

I was willing to spend money to save time and our backs. Having all new furniture being delivered the next day, this was not a large or complicated job. The boys spend a majority of their time walking in circles and moved at a turtle pace. I will never use them again and will not recommend them to family and friends. Learn from my mistake.

Most people know large trucks don't accelerate quickly and that is something they should also know. If I did not slow down we would have been in an accident.

I called them and gave them a list of everything in my home. I was going to be moving a week in advance. They told me I'd need 1 truck, 2 men, $900. Cool not a problem. Then they call me the day before the move and ask the same questions again and this time they said I need 5 men, 2 trucks for $1700. I got angry, but said "No. How about you move all my big things I cannot carry in my cars and I will move the rest, so please load the big items and leave the boxes." So guess what they do, loaded all the boxes 1st and leave no room for all my big stuff, then said "Sorry we also need room for our things in the truck so it was not filled to the end of the truck or to the ceiling." I am 40, an ex-military spouse 24 years and moved no less than 50 times. We always have used Mayflower and they always did a great job, so we ended up having to rent 2 more U-Haul trucks and spending over $3,000 for it all, because this company was sooo awful!

After they left to head to unload at my new home they forgot a tool bag and turned around with no one at my home except my dog and let my dog out my house by leaving the door opened and unlocked. My dog was running wild in the street when I came back. I was heated!!! They broke my washer, dropped it and smashed the back in and neglected to tell me at all. It was only 1 1/2 yrs old and over $1,000.

Now I didn't see any movers while I was in the house. They had disappeared so I went looking to see where they were, and they were all in the back of the truck smoking and had been throwing the butts in my yard, so all my property was being smoked on. I am a smoker but do not smoke in my home, and I do not litter my butts. They are the worst company you can ever ask for. I was going to use a different company but the guy I spoke with on the phone told me not to that they had a bad reputation. Maybe he got them mixed up with themselves!! I will NEVER use this company again PERIOD!

Very Poor experience with movers in Atlanta, Georgia suburb. Four appointments to complete a job before men actually kept appointment and showed up. Five men came to the house June 4, 2016, to move a planter from local business to house and a medium sized fountain that was in three small parts. These five big guys complained and whined for one hour, about the lifting and carrying the objects, to us and their boss over the cell phone and were refusing to place the objects where needed.

Finally, when my wife offered them an extra $250.00 "under the table" they completed the job in 10 minutes! We paid the company Two Men And a Truck $800.00. The original cost to the company was suppose to be between $200.00-$400.00. The movers spent more time complaining than the actual moving. This was the most unprofessional and lazy group of "men" that I have ever done business with. I feel sorry for the manager or proprietor of Two Men And a Truck in the Alpharetta/Johns Creek/Cummings, Georgia locality. Will I ever do business with them again. Very unlikely. Will I recommend their services to a neighbor or friend. Never.

My fiancee and I were moving an hour away from Phoenix to Mesa and we had very little to move so we chose this company. Two young men showed up, looking very unprofessional, and as fast as they could, loaded our belongings onto their truck. We took the one hour drive to our new house and they plopped everything down in the new house, wherever it was convenient for them. We had several large plants to be put down in the back and when I told them where I wanted them they ignored what I said and just dropped them where they wanted. The worst part though, was that they lost two glass table tops of ours. My fiancee called and texted Nick, the person who he spoke to to arrange the move. Nick said he'd look into it and get back to us. He didn't bother to get back to us.

We waited a few days because it was a long holiday weekend and we wanted to give them some time, and then my fiancee called and texted him again. His response? His workers didn't know anything about it and neither did he. That was it. He never offered to replace them or pay us for them or anything. So now we can't use our desk and another table and they didn't bother to pay for them or replace them. They just blew us off. STEER CLEAR of this "company". Go with a reputable mover that stands by their work and is professional. It'll be worth the extra few dollars.

We used Two Men And a Truck for our local move here in Columbia, SC. When we unpacked our large TV, which had been placed back in its original packaging by the movers at our old house and put in the truck and then moved into our new house by the movers - we discovered it was broken. They were the only ones who had handled it. The screen was cracked. We called the company and asked them to work with us on a claim for this. Instead of trying to help, they are hiding behind the fine print in the contract (not being TV addicts, we didn't unpack our TV the first day after moving in.) We are very disappointed in this company and do not recommend them. We had found them through reviews on Angie's List and thought they were a good company. We recommend avoiding them based on our experience.

I hate that I have to give them a 1 star rating... There should be a zero star. I booked these folks April 2016. 4 men & 2 trucks. When I booked the move, I stressed to them I had $1,000 to spend and not a penny more. I moved from a 1800 sq. ft. house to a 1500 sq. ft house about 4 miles apart from one another. The men repeatedly REFUSED to use a dolly opting instead to each carry 1 or 2 boxes at a time. They strolled rather than walked. They stopped often to gossip about the member of their team that wasn't in the room. I am a military widow & I know how to pack. Everything that would fit in a box was in a taped box & the top was OVERLY clearly labeled as to what room it belongs in & whether or not it was fragile.

End of the day what should have taken 4 hours took 8. What should have been an $1,000 move turned into a $1650 move. They blocked my doorways with heavy furniture & I couldn't get into those rooms to get boxes & had to pay a neighbor's grown son to come over & clear pathways for me. They broke my grandmother's dresser, they broke antique china, they broke frames to my pictures, they broke a dining room chair... the list goes on and on. Because they stacked heavy boxes of books on top of boxes CLEARLY marked China, they broke so many items that I don't have room to list them here. Also, because they refused to work faster, I was forced to leave items at the old address.

When I called them to complain, I was told someone would call me back. No one ever has. I was not given an apology but was told by "Nick" that he would talk to the movers on my job & get their side of the story & then would call me back... no call. I felt as if my stuff was being held hostage because they refused to even open the truck at my new address until I paid them in full. After they left, I cried because they had me so upset. I will NEVER use this company again & I will tell anyone who is willing to listen not to use them either.

They attempted to do this by complaining that the item was too heavy for two men despite two friends (one young and one retired age gent) having already lifted it into the pick up position the day before. I am a 52 yr. old disabled veteran and needed help to move. After looking at multiple moving companies, and seeing the reviews of two men and a truck, decided to go with them. The communication was great and the crew arrived on the day and time scheduled. Had asked if they did packing and was told they did. I work in a flex schedule and during the weekends work 12 hour shifts. On the day of the planned move, had just gotten off of a 12 hour shift and needed to be out that day. Primarily, I had been staying with my sister until my wife and I found another place, so we basically had one bedroom and a small office to move complete with 2 computers, desk and desk chairs and clothes. Since there was minimal room, I would not be able to pack much until the day of the move. Have two cats, and would be taking them in my car when we would have left.

When the two men arrived, the first thing they said, "What is going?" and I told them. They said that the electronics needed to be disconnected and the bed linens taken off, which I did. They went back outside. When I went to get them to tell them the bed was ready to go, they said they had called their supervisor and was told not to do anything until he got there. When he got there he said that there was animal feces on the floor. I told them there was none, which there was none. Just cat food that my cats had knocked out of their feeder. He said that due to health reason if they could reschedule until the place is cleaned and my stuff was packed. I told them that I could not pack until items were moved out to make room to pack things into the boxes I was providing, which I gotten from U-haul, and that I had to be out that day. He said they could not move due to health reasons.

I told them I can go and get them latex gloves and air mask if they were that worried, and he said they had them but still would not move anything. I told them I was disabled, and they did not care. I even offered to carry everything to the front door and they could load it onto the truck which I carried the chairs and the bed and box springs, but it did not make a difference. I expected a moving company to come in and move your items in a professional and timely manner, and these guys were too worried about putting any effort into doing the move, that I had to get a u-haul truck and hire 3 men to move myself. This was the most lazy movers I have ever seen in my life and will never do business with them ever and will tell anyone I hear that is moving not to call them.

This just covered with the moving towels and placed in truck in such a way that the front part was leaning on truck wall, when they unloaded it was broken. They also broke up dresser mirror and damaged the sofa while getting into house. They damaged door entrance as well. They were not able to get one sofa and Sep in garage for more than a week. When Connecticut Two Men and a Truck came in they moved so easily (I took video without any problem).

They charged 150 dollars for tv to pack, it's not electronic damage it's mechanical damage, they don't know how to keep fragile items in truck without basic knowledge, they move the stuff. When asked about sofa damage, tv image, they said they are going to pay dollar or 2 per pound for damages. My tv cost 2500 dollars and my sofa cost around 2000 dollars, and also they damaged my dresser and also they are not taking anything about the door. When questioned they are offering 231 dollars for tv and sofa, but charged 150 dollars just to pack tv.

We were left with a very large piece of equipment from their truck, at least 72" long by 15" wide and a large assortment of tools in our home. Not only that but pictures on the wall, TV's on the floor, part of our bed and stuff in the basement. With no response from the company until the 22nd of February.

They were committed, worked hard to perform the move. During the move, a dresser glass top was cracked, which I reported within couple of days. These things do happen with moves, but it's the way the issue is handled makes the difference. Despite of repeated emails and phone calls, there was no follow up from the branch. Finally after two weeks, received call from the office manager Matt and first sentence 'you said everything was fine on the day of move'. No concern or remorse on the damage caused but trying to put blame on me. I send him pictures, dimensions, asking to take the old broken glass so they can get one cut to size. Again no response.

Finally had to use the pressure of disputing the charge with credit company and I receive call within 1 minute with office manager Matt yelling at me. WORST customer service from this franchise of Two Men and a Truck. He just called to tell me that I should go ahead and dispute the charge and I can't do anything as they have my signatures on payment. There is no intent from the branch to fix the damage caused. I called for an estimate to ship 415 lbs cross country. The girl on the phone told me that mileage starts from the time the movers leave the dock, until they return. Therefore, 1600 miles would actually be 3200 miles. She quoted me $10,000 (seriously!) to move less than 1 bedroom's worth of items! Are you kidding me???

They arrived on time to move my 1 BR apt to a 2 BR apt across the street. They wreaked of cigarette smoke so I asked them to wash their hands before handling my child's clothes and our towels, sheets, etc. The lead guy asked why I would assume they smoke, which was only the first of several comments made to try and turn something around on me. I told him I didn't assume, I could smell it. During the packing process, they asked me for a marker to label boxes (they only labeled 2-3 boxes anyway and never returned the marker to me), scissors, and a door stopper. How do movers not have these items? When they were "done" packing, I pointed out several cabinets and a closet they had completely overlooked which he again tried to blame on me, saying I told them not to do those. Not true. He made a stink about having to back to the truck to get more boxes, but they did it.

They had to disassemble my day bed to get it out of the apt which is fine. More on that in a minute. When we arrived at the new place where I have nice, clean carpets, I had to ask them to put something down to keep them clean or remove/cover their shoes. They resisted, then put down a runner that was maybe 8 feet long, so that's all that got covered and they walked in the rest of the apt with their dirty boots. I have a 3-yr-old that spends a lot of time on the floor so I don't even walk in here with my own shoes on but not much I could do. One of the guys cut himself so he asked me for a band-aid, then some water. More items that movers should come prepared with.

When they were reassembling the day bed, the lead guy told me that I had put it together wrong (more blaming me) and as he was screwing in the final 2 screws, he said they were too short and there should've been longer screws in that spot. Again, what could I do? I told him to just put the shorter screws in. I only noticed AFTER they left that the longer screws he needed were screwed into a spot where he should've used the shorter screws so they went through the leather material of the bed and were now sticking out the front of the bed, creating a safety hazard (See pic). For my daughter's bookcase, only 4 of the 8 pegs that hold the shelves made it over here, so I can't put the shelves in and use that piece of furniture. They told me they don't know what happened to the other 4 pegs and I never did find them.

As icing on the cake, when I unpacked my wardrobe boxes, which are used to hang clothes, below the hanging clothes I found a bunch of other clothes just tossed in the bottom of the box. They called me this morning because they wrote down my cc number incorrectly so payment didn't go through. Before verifying payment info, I explained all of my issues with the move. The manager told me he was sorry, but that I needed to give full payment and then file a claim to get money-back. Sketchy, and I wasn't sure what to do, so I verified payment info, but I'm regretting not being firmer about it. After reading all of these horrible reviews, who knows if I'll get any compensation now.

Very unprofessional so far and we haven't even moved yet. Already drafting my letter to the attorney general! When I spoke with rep, she said my card would not be charged, they only needed the cc to make the reservation. That was a lie! So she sends the "pre-move letter," and clearly states that she advised me of the "hold." So I was looking at possibly rescheduling due to an emergency situation, in which we have no control over and she proceeds to tell me there is a 2 hour minimum charge for that! I am livid! Why in the heck would I pay twice? Nowhere in this "contract" does it stipulate a 2 hour minimum charge to reschedule or cancel! They "request" a 48 hour notice... implies to me that you know emergencies do happen. You MAY be assessed a penalty if the movers show up and you cancel! It doesn't take a law degree... don't let them get you! Bad business, first and the last time I deal with them.

This company destroyed my couches, destroyed my walls, and dented my TV. I Filed a claim and they never paid me. Make sure you get extra insurance on the entire move and your valuable possessions. They are supposed to pad and wrap everything according to their contract but they will not. If they did, nothing of mine would have been damaged. Read the contract in its entirety or you'll be left in their dusty trail like I was. Even after violating their own contract they will still not honor it so there may not even be a point to read it. Go with these guys and you'll end up in small claims court like me. There were so many other things wrong with this company like the fact that the workers were taking breaks on the job while I was paying about $100/hr, and the fact that the owner avoided my calls for about 3 weeks.

I am an actual customer and I am a very fair and reasonable person. I gave this company way too many chances to right their wrongs and make amends with me before leading to my filing in the City of Dearborn small claims court. I just wanted people to simply know that they are the wrong company for your move especially if you care about your things.

They have franchised what might have started as a good company. But now, the main office does NOT stand by their franchises. They sell franchises to people who hire incompetent movers - liars who have no regard for their customers or customer service.

I will continue to let the world know how horrible this company is. I have used many other reliable companies - this is definitely NOT one anyone should consider for even a small move. Terrible!! Heartbreaking how they handle your furniture and then don't take responsibility for it. They did cover $500 damage to my very expensive $15,000 bedroom furniture and a Tempur-pedic bed they said they knew how to assemble. I asked them to pay me the $500 and they said they would, then decided they didn't want to.

Worst of all was that they didn't just damage 1 end of our piano while loading, but repeated the damage while unloading on the other end. When we contacted them they sent out a repair person who could not fix the damage properly. So they sent a "settlement" check, they won't even fix 1 side. Go with someone who has a professional team and who will handle your furniture properly. Two Men may be great at a 750 sq ft apartment, but not a nice home with expensive furniture.

I would not recommend that anyone ever use Two Men and a Truck for their move. I recently used them to move me from my house to a storage area, because the new home was not ready for move in. They practically threw my stuff in the storage area. They did such a poor job of packing everything, that I called another moving outfit to move my stuff out. When the 2nd mover opened the door of the storage unit, everything just fell out at him. He said "Who moved this stuff in here?" and then he answered for me, "Two Men and a Truck." I guess they don't have a very good name. Anyway, It took me several weeks in my new home to open all of my boxes and bins, and every day I opened a box or two with dishes, canister sets, antique china cups and saucers, etc broken. I marked all my boxes with FRAGILE and still so many things broken. All of my furniture had large deep scratches on them.

Today I opened the last of my boxes and yet another beautiful collectible china bowl was broken. Also, I waited until all the boxes were opened, because I didn't want to complain prematurely about my jewelry missing. Today when I opened the very last box, I never found my jewelry. Every single piece of jewelry that I owned and acquired over the past 40 or 50 years is gone. I don't have a single necklace except for the gold chain and pendant I had on the day of the move. There must have been a box that never got put into the storage area, but when I called their office a few weeks ago to report a part of a maple table that was missing, I was told that she would call me on Monday to let me know if they had found anything. Never got a call back. I am sure that I will never see any of my missing jewelry again, but I am going to notify BBB about their poor service and I hope that people will read these reviews BEFORE hiring these people.

I would NOT recommend that anyone use this franchise of Two Men And a Truck. I have had previous experiences with this company with no complaints, but DO NOT USE THE TROY FRANCHISE!!! I moved in early July using 2 Men & a Truck Troy franchise (1250 Rankin Dr, Troy, MI 48083). On the move day the 3 movers showed up a little late to assess the items to be moved. About hour later the local manager showed up and looked at all our items and indicated that the team should be able to move all the items in 2 loads, at worse 3. While the guys were loading the first haul, we made a comment that more could fit on the truck, but were told to mind our own business, they have been doing this for years, let them do their job.

We should have realized that after the 2nd load (this load also could have been optimized, but we said nothing), that this was going to be a long day. It was already a drizzly humid day, so the weather as well as the guys not working well with us should have been an indication, but I was still holding out that we would move everything in the 3rd load. When we got back for the 3rd load, the guys haphazardly loaded the truck and (while the truck was so poorly packed, they could have easily fit everything in that load), they indicated that they could not fit any more and that this was their last load, they had another job to get to. This was along with the comment that everything would not fit in the new house or garage, so they were not going to move it.

I had an emotional breakdown at this point. And my partner called the main office. After some (not very pleasant) discussion with the main office, the team agreed that they would return for a 4th load to pick up the remaining items. Keep in mind, it was approaching rush hour, and were paying these guys by the hour, so another load over rush hour would easily add 2 hours onto the move charge (which it did). So be it, I said, I need everything moved out of the rental house and into our new purchased house today, no ifs, ands, or buts. However, in the process of being told to do this, they decided that they would stack the items in the garage so haphazardly, that I could not unload and organize the items by myself and needed help. They also thought it was a cool idea to put our living room couch on the bottom of the stack IN THE GARAGE!

After complaining about this, the manager agreed to send over a couple of guys the following weekend to help me unload the garage, put the couch in the house, and reload the garage so everything could fit which it did. But it was already too late (as I was told) to file a complaint that the couch back (material) was ripped and that 3 items of furniture were scratched pretty bad, since the time limit to file this type of damage complaint is 7 days from the move date, and this was after 7 days. So they did nothing. I would not recommend that anyone use this franchise of 2 Men & a Truck. I have had previous experiences with this company with no complaints, but DO NOT USE THE TROY FRANCHISE!!!

I did not consider a small plastic Ziplock bag with miscellaneous silver coins (several silver half dollars, several silver quarters, several silver dimes including some Liberty ones), a good number of wheat pennies, and other coins of interest to me (Buffalo nickels, Kennedy half dollars, a few of the "new" State Quarters, etc.) placed in a small flower pot to be a "coin collection." Never even checked it until a year later when I was going to add some wheat pennies to the bag.

When I checked, what I found was left in the bag was two silver quarters and one silver dime, five wheat pennies in the bag along with about $4.50 in current pennies and $0.95 in nickels. Entirely my fault, but a shame on them anyway. It was an easy move, I packed all of the boxes and had them centrally located out of the way of the furniture. At the new place, all of the boxes were put in one location for me to unpack. It was a one-bedroom apartment moving into another one-bedroom apartment, both downstairs. The locations were approximately 3 miles apart. Tipped the guys at the end because I "thought" the move went smoothly. Shame on me.

I paid $1500 for the move and the two movers that came to my house in Kiowa actually stole two very valuable items that I can never replace. These were large items too, so it wasn't as if they could just misplace them. They took a large stone horse that I got from Italy. It was heavy and sat on my mantel over the fireplace. The second item taken was a large framed picture of two horses done in charcoal by an artist in Elbert, CO.

I am just sick to my stomach about this, and I have complained, but nothing will be done. It's their word over mine. They also forgot items that I needed in order to put my bed back together. I used this moving company in 2006. Two young men showed up at my apartment. Since I already had everything packed, sorted and organized they looked over my belongings in each room, looked at the route they would have to take to get my things out of the apartment and on to the truck. They asked me questions about the building I was moving to such as was there an elevator, where would they park etc. They discussed with each other the best options. All of this took about 10 minutes. They loaded my small 1 bedroom apartment in about 45 minutes, drove to my new apartment and unloaded in about an hour. They were polite, professional and hard working. I paid a little over $350.

The next time I moved I used them again. A very different experience was had the second time. The team arrived 15 minutes late. They stood around for the better part of 30 minutes before they loaded the first thing. They stopped every 15 minutes to smoke cigarettes at 15 minutes a pop. Yes they actually worked for 15 minute and took a 15 minute break several times. The same size apartment I moved from and to for each move but the time line was really different. The driver who seemed to be in charge kept disappearing for 30 minutes or more every single time he walked out with a box. Oh yes he carried one box at a time while the other guy used a wheeled cart to take boxes at a time (he could have taken 5-6 easily but didn't).

I arrived at my new place and waited 2 hours for them to show up. It was a 25 minute drive. The excuse they used was that they got lost. Even though I gave them printed instructions before they left my old place. They were as slow unloading as they were loading. At one point the driver disappeared for over an hour. Even his co worker remarked that he wondered where he was for so long and asked if I had seen him. By the time they were finished I was frustrated I was about in tears. The original estimate I received was three hours. Which sounded reasonable because that was what my first move took from the same size apartment with the same belongings a few years earlier.

By the end of the day my three hour move had taken 8 hours and I was charged more than double what I expected to pay. Oh yes I was charged for the 10 15 minute breaks and the entire time they were "lost". I would tell you about my things that were damaged but even 5 years later I can't stand to think about it. I am still traumatized by my experience with this company and have talked dozens of people out of doing business with them which I will continue to do for as long as they stay in business.

Gather round and listen to the epic saga of how Two Men and a Truck heavily damaged my parents-in-law's refrigerator and refused to take care of it. It all began during their in-town move when the two movers decided they wanted to move the thing out of the front door. Now, with the doors off, it wouldn't have been a problem. But they didn't take them off, and as a result the fridge received three major scratches. Not little cosmetic things, but great gouges that went deep into the material. Oh, and thanks to the mover's policy of not taking five minutes to remove the doors, they couldn't get it into the house they left it in the garage. We filled out the damage report and expected to hear back.

What followed next was an avalanche of promises unkept and phone calls unreturned. They said the appliance repair place that could fix it had dropped the ball and it was out of their hands, but the repairmen said they hadn't heard from Two Men at all. After two weeks, they finally offered us to pay us $240, based on a formula of 60 cents per pound - never mind that, according to the manufacturer, two of the three doors cost a combined $348 just to buy, not even to install. We've tried both the local and the corporate office via phone and email, but still nothing. The local office has been especially bad at getting back to us, even hanging up on us several times. It's been exactly a month now, and they still haven't fixed the fridge. Though they did finally move the fridge into the kitchen 10 days later, though even then they didn't show up at the time they originally promised they'd be there.

I hired this company out of Kingwood, Texas several months in advance but only to move my appliances which consisted of a washer and dryer and a side-by-side refrigerator. The two young men who were sent spent an hour in my kitchen trying to figure out how to get it through a passageway that was too small. I explained to them that when Sears delivered it, the doors were off and then put back on after being brought into the kitchen. They attempted to take the doors off but said they couldn't take the freezer door off because of the ice maker tubing that was connected to it at the bottom. They finally lifted it over the breakfast bar to get it out. I warned them that the people who moved out of the house I just purchased told me they had to take the doors off to get the old side-by-side out of the kitchen. They basically ignored me.

When we arrived at the new house they were able to bring it through the front door and commented "See, that wasn't a problem!" But there was the option of two doorways to move it into the kitchen - they chose the dining room doorway. They began again to try to figure out how to move it through the doorway. I told them again that the doors needed to come off but they insisted on trying to force it through and it become stuck in the doorway. They couldn't go backward or forward. Finally, they forced it to go backward tearing off my sheetrock on the corners of the doorway. Again I said, "Please take the doors off as I told you before!" They finally took off the refrigerator door and removed the freezer door although it was still attached at the bottom - laying it next to the side of the refrigerator - and were able to get it into the kitchen.

One side of the refrigerator has a long dent in it; there is a dent in the front of the freezer door (although small), and both doors have large areas that are scraped. The refrigerator door was not put back on properly and it hangs up when shutting unless you lift up on it. This is a stainless refrigerator and it would be difficult to get the scrapes off - but maybe not impossible. The company has never sent anyone out to look at it but has offered me $360 which is required by the DMV at .60 per pound. I am so upset with them. This happened on February 28, 2015 and it is still not settled. I have sent them the costs to replace both doors and the cost of replacing the refrigerator. I still owed $100 on it when this happened. I have told them that I will settle for $500 but I would never use this company again

He got in the TWO MEN and TRUCK vehicle and proceeded to drive out of our neighborhood at a speed of 50+ MPH... speed limit is 15 MPH. I spent more time on the phone talking to managers than movers spent at my house loading truck!! Manager said he would get another crew out to move us which he eventually called back and said he had one and would come out shortly... no discount offered!

After giving it some thought and discussing with my wife we decided to get some friends/family to complete the move on our own. I would say this was the all time WORSE customer service experience I ever had!!! I would not recommend TWO MEN and a TRUCK to anyone even if they offered a free move!!! Oh yeah, when I ask when they would come out to repair my desk their manager never called me back.

Do not use Two Men and Truck at the McFarland Alpharetta Georgia location or really anywhere if you can help it. I would give them no stars if I could. They do not even deserve 1 star. We were a repeat customer and treated so poorly. They held our furniture for 3 additional days without consent and required us to pay an inflated amount before they would deliver our furniture. Many, many damages but we could not receive adequate compensation because we did not purchase the extended insurance for $450! Chairs and furniture thrown in the truck not carefully wrapped or stacked. Movers did not bring water or food so we’re worn out by noon. Sat around for 2 hours for lunch which we bought and paid for the food and the hours they sat around. They got the truck stuck for 1 1/2 hours which we also paid for.

Because of the poor service and use of their time, they could not finish in one day and proceeded to take our furniture without our consent to sit, where we were not told, for an additional 3 days. That was never discussed as a possibility when quoting our job. I contacted corporate thinking they would want to know how a franchise is using their name and received no help at all over a 3 week period. They called the franchise to contact us. The franchise responded that we were lying (of course) and proceeded to tell us what really happened even though management was not there.

They are such an unprofessional company even corporate. It was one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever experienced. If you care anything about your furniture, your wallet (because the end price is never what you are quoted so they can get your business), your sanity or your back (we had to sleep on the floor for 3 nights as they kept 1/3 of the furniture for 3 days). We did receive a small refund several weeks later because it only took 2 hours to unload the last of the furniture not 4 which we had been forced to pay before they would unload. DO NOT USE 2 MEN and a TRUCK. You will not receive "Movers who care" treatment nor any restitution if you suffer the way we did. They do not care. Period.

I hired this company to move me out of my small one bedroom apartment when I had undergone surgery and could not move myself. After reviewing the reasonable quote that was emailed to me, I decided to add the third mover to save time. In the end, however, the men spent almost three hours longer than what I was quoted for. Two of the movers told me that it was their first day on the job, and that's why they were taking as long as they did. That being said, their inexperience cost me almost $900, which was $300 over the estimate that I was given. When I returned to my former apartment, I was extremely unhappy with how many of my belongings they had left behind. Why even hire movers in the first place? I feel that I was robbed and taken advantage of. I'm extremely dissatisfied with their service and would highly recommend that people take their business somewhere else.

Two Men and a Truck were used by another company to move all our furniture out of our house and back in 3 weeks later. Numerous pieces of furniture were damaged and dirtied with fingerprints during the move, including a 2 piece china cabinet which they broke a glass panel using their shoulder to try and move. Most of the furniture was brought outside before they were poorly wrapped for storage. It has been 4 months now and it has been a constant struggle with this company to get the furniture repaired properly. The glass panel for the china cabinet had to be custom made, took 7 weeks, and now it sits in our garage because they refuse to get someone to adjust the glass doors prior to installing the glass panel. The workers are nice and mean well, however, I would NEVER use, or recommend this company again.

These guys are awful! If you wanna be ripped off then go with them. I had a clean and simple move. A one bedroom apartment with no major appliances, going less than 4 miles away. I paid extra to have 3 guys, plus I helped myself. A move with no major appliances, everything already packed, ended up costing me $787.00. That is absolutely ridiculous!

When I called and asked to speak to the manager (Olai **), he tried to make me believe I was the crazy one. He said, "I explained all the cost to you upfront." I stated, "Do you honestly believe I'd sign up to pay almost $800 dollars for a move going less than 4 miles away?!" Olai clearly thought my anger was joke so I ended our call. These guys didn't have to pack a single thing, they were only hired to load and unload at the new place. How is it that a simple move like that can cost $787?

I am not finished with these guys, I plan on going to the Better Business Bureau. I busted my butt helping these movers, so we actually had four guys and I still ended owing nearly $800. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from these guys. Plus their movers intentionally took their time which ultimately cost me.

I hired the Stockbridge, GA location back in May of 2014. The movers had damaged several items but I only brought to their attention 2 items. I immediately reported the issue and to this date, February 2015, after numerous in-person visits and numerous phone calls, have yet to be reimbursed for the broken items. Every visit and every call is yet another run-around. I would not recommend using this company to anyone. Mover Beware!

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! Do NOT use this moving company! Called and scheduled appointment for 3 pm and after confirming the day before and the day of moving...movers never showed up. Owner barely speaks English and the whole time I was calling to check on the status of their location he either didn't get the phone or kept delaying for hours. Finally at 8pm I received a text from him stating that my moving was canceled due to him having to call the police on another mover (WONDER WHY!!). Called him once I received the message after I had been waiting for over 5 hours and he very arrogantly said: "I'm home now. I move you tomorrow. Read your text. I sent you text." Never had a worse experience than this. Move on to your next choice...This is not the one...the other one at least MIGHT show up.

I worked for this company for a little over a year. I've never worked for such a man ** who lies to his employees and customers. He underestimates most moves under false pretenses, in order to get the customer's business. For example, if in actuality, it takes us 7 hours to move you, he would tell you that it would only take us 4 hours to move you in order to sell the job. Once we arrive at the job and realize it's going to take 7 hours, customers would become angry with us (the movers). We always received complaints about a job going over the estimate. I've attempted to resolve this matter as an employee by suggesting on the spot estimates vs. over the phone estimates. His reply was that liars are buyers, meaning that customers do not tell him everything that is to be moved, during the phone estimate. That sometimes is true, but it happens a lot, instead of sometimes. We have received some complaints about our attitudes on the job, which was due to the customers' reaction after finding out ** lied to them. We worked hard as movers to get our company in good standings for recommendation.

He would send his worst employees (those lazy ones who do not care about the customers' items) along with his hardworking best ones. That really became problematic because I have had to pay for numerous damages out of my own pocket. Eventually, we refused that idea and later became faced with a choice of working with the bad employees or termination. There were some incidents where some bisexual employees were hired and I would get harassed by them. Also, I was close to fighting after being touched. I asked ** not to put me with that certain guy again and explained why. He continued to put me with the guy anyway. He always says, "Go to work with a positive attitude and smile," but it was becoming more and more impossible under his conditions.

Last but not least, we strive to be the best at what we do, meaning good customer service, care and safety. That would determine good replies at the end of our jobs which would allow us to receive bonuses at the end of the month. I've learned that he does not post all the replies we receive on the website. The reason for that is so that we had no way of knowing how much bonus funds we were entitled to. He recently just came with an Idea as far as how we were going to get paid. We started off as hourly employees, but now, ** says we are to be paid for the reply cards we receive which have to be 5 stars. There are 3 brackets of ratings. If we receive a rating of the low 4.50, we would receive $10.50 hourly, a mid-rating of $11.50 an hour and the highest rating, $14.00 an hour. Those who received raises are now stuck with possibility of going back to low hourly rate. Again, since ** is a dishonest man, I knew that we were in the process of being robbed by him. I felt he robbed the customers enough by overcharging them on boxes and supplies, port to port charges and he never kept the same price rates. So, I quit.

I do not recommend anyone to use this company or seek employment with this company ever again.

On August 13, 2009, I hired Two Men to move my furniture. The job was estimated at 5 hours, however, it really should not have taken that long. I packed all boxes and had everything centrally located for the guys to move. Prior to Aug. 13, I spoke with Josh **, who informed me of their services. He was every articulate in his selling points. One of the key selling point that he wanted me to note that made Two Men different from the other moving companies is that if his workers arrived at the job site and realized that the job needed a third man, then one would be called at no additional charge to me. After the workers had been at my home for 2 1/2, I asked how much longer would it be. One of the workers, Shawn, said another 30 minutes. It turned into another 1 1/2 hours. His excuse was because he didn't know that it would take so long to break down my bed. The bed was not your standard bed and may have required additional help.

Once arrived at the new location, I noted that one of the guys was moving boxes alone as the other guy folded blankets. I don't think this is something I should be paying for. When I expressed this to their local and corporate offices, they were unresponsive. Their excuse is that the truck must be returned in the order in which it left there original location. I told them that's fine, but when I'm paying by the hour, I should not have to pay for one guy to move boxes as the other fold their blankets. Also, the new location has elevator doors, one of the movers Jordan, expressed that elevator jobs take longer and are harder because of the opening and closing of the doors, which is another reason why I couldn't understand why one person would be doing their cleaning chores or additional assistance was not requested. I feel like they were purposely running up the clock since this was a per hour job. I was not able to get a resolution from the local offices or corporate. I've asked for a credit of one hour.

A tornado hit our home in April of 2008 and the furnishings that we had left were moved to storage by ServePro. Our refrigerator was moved to ServePro's warehouse. We hired 2 Men and a Truck to move the furniture and the refrigerator to our rental house. The scheduler didn't schedule the refrigerator the same time as the other furniture and when they actually ended up delivering it 2 weeks later, all the shelves were missing. They looked in all their warehouses and trucks because it apparently got moved around a lot in 2 weeks and they couldn't find them. I called Whirlpool and they no longer made them, so I couldn't replace them.

When I asked Sal, the manager, what he was going to do to rectify the situation, he said he would continue to look. There was a refrigerator in the rental so I knew we wouldn't need one for another 4 months or so. When I followed up 4 months later, he said he would provide us with a used refrigerator. My husband said that was unacceptable since we knew the condition ours was in when we left it and we didn't even know if the used one was working. Sal agreed to pay us $150.00. That was on December 5.

As of December 14th we hadn't gotten the money so I called and his secretary said it had been sitting on his desk and he just hadn't signed it. I called him that day on his cell, he said he would send it. We got it alright. It was made out for $100.00! They obviously don't pay attention to details, and don't have much business integrity. He is definitely not a man of his word. He even had the nerve in the conversation in which we negotiated the remuneration amount to ask us to use their company to move us back into our house and he would personally supervise the move this time!
