They damaged my dining room table (and acknowledged it) but have made no attempt to have the repair done. Many contacts to them went no place! If you use them pay with check or credit card so you can stop payment until repairs are made. Also gives you a chance to see what else they damaged.

BEWARE!!! We used Two Men and a Truck for a local move. The movers were on time and completed the move correctly; however, at the end of the move after being tipped $160 dollars on a $550 dollar local move, one employee STOLE a lawn edger out of our garage. We didn’t notice until a few weeks later, when we searched VIDEO CAMERAS (which are all over our house) and were shocked that an employee of Two Men and a Truck stole from us. We notified Two Men and a Truck, but after a week of getting the runaround, not much has been communicated, and we still have not been reimbursed for the stolen equipment. I would not recommend the Chamblee, GA Two Men and a Truck location to anyone given this situation.

Please never use this company in Baltimore,MD. I just came home to them blocking an entire alley. They weren't moving just parked. Btw are alley is our access to our drive ways. I called the company they told me do what i got to do to get the driver to move. Well i dont call cops because that's childish wo im guessing he meant for me to physically go after the guy. What the hell kind of company is this. After i asked him of that's what he meant then he says he can call the driver. So why not do that when I 1st called.

The workers that moved us from our old home to our new home were nice, prompt, and worked very hard. However, that is where any and all positive experiences stop. Quoted price for the move and the actual charges I incurred were over double the quoted price. Multiple items damaged, including the walls of my new home. No contact to us by the company has been made as promised would occur within 48 hours, it is now two weeks since the move, and still no follow up from the company for damaging our home and our belongings. If you want your stuff broken, want to be misled on price, and not be given the courtesy expected from a "professional" company, then hire Two Men and a Truck. If you want to be moved correctly and professionally, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

It’s rather astounding to me that moving a single mother and child to a small condo could yield two shattered coffee tables, a broken dresser leg, and a broken cat tree (roughly 1k in damages). It’s more astounding that it’s now nearly 6 weeks later and I have neither received repaired items nor been compensated for the damages. The delay would be more tolerable were I confident they were on top of things and I would ever see resolution based on my experience thus far. I strongly discourage others from using this company.

First they arrived over 45 minutes late. Took over a half hour to park the truck in front of my house. They all introduced themselves and did a walk through. They took one box at a time by hand. Said they use manpower not dollies. (I put an end to that) they were thorough with wrapping furniture. I had one ask for toilet paper and didn’t see him for 15 minutes. Seriously!! They decided to empty the basement by walking back up the stairs through the kitchen and dining room and living room and out the front door. I put an end to that too and had them exit the basement door and walk straight down the driveway to the truck. We are talking 7 men here. I did a walk through of my home when they were finished... Everything was out.

I left to drive to new home...took them half hour longer to get there. It started to rain as soon as they get there... They waited it out during the hard rain. When they finished they left. Exhausted by the whole ordeal. I was glad it was over. Next morning my sweeper, sponge mop, wooden foot stool and T.V. Remotes were missing. I called and reported it and the few items that were damaged. I was told the truck would be checked to see if items were left. I called again and was told the trucks were empty and Justin from claims would be calling me. Never did. I called him and reported missing items and damaged items. Was told there are cameras on the truck. Said he would call me back. Never did. 11 days later I empty the last of the boxes. Found there were items not here.

A full storage bin of over 100 new in box pocket knives with switch blades and warrior knives was missing. I called Justin immediately. He said there is a container in his office with 4 knives in plastic bag and a few other items. Said it came from my truck. Yet I was told earlier the truck was empty. Yet he never called me to say This container was left on your truck. 7 guys and no one seen this container was still on truck? Bull!! They stole every knife but the few junk blades and left the container. I Was told to file a police report and all 7 men will be made available for questioning, this container was solid in color.

The literally had to open the lid to look inside. 7 men. Some load while others check contents of boxes. Was charged for every minute from the time the arrived till they left. Charged for them standing around while it rained, charged for the time it took them to get to my new home. It’s only a half hour away. What took them so long? Bottom line...if it’s not sealed shut, they open and look inside. They steal what they want. The other missing items, they said they left at the loading home even though I did a walk through and my home was empty. They flat out lie! They're never going to admit it. What you going to do about it! Oh, didn’t want to take my old outdoor trash cans to new home. The mover said he will take them. Now I know why. They loaded my belongings in them.

Now there no camera on trucks but in the lot where trucks are park. Yet no one seen anyone unloading the red container that was left on the truck but the truck was empty remember. No one seen the mover unload the used trash cans he took from my house. Funny that half hour longer it took them to get to my new home was it due to a drop off of my stolen items. I’m furious! NEVER USE THEM! The 7 men were Mike **, Darryl, JaRave, J.T., Torrie, Malik **. Yes that’s six. Seventh person was not listed. Wonder why. Still settling. Won’t know what else is missing till I go to look for it. Only reason I give one star is because I could not post this till I checked a star.

My friend who was separating from her abusive husband with 2 children was totally screwed over by Jerry out of Hamilton Ont. She was given a quote for approx. half of the contents of her house. She put down 300 dollars and had a receipt signed by Jerry that she owed 650.00 after the move was completed. The men were painfully slow... At the end, she was told she owed over 1000.00. It was a crisis as she did not have the money and was only prepared for what was written and signed by Jerry.

The kids were terrified and one hid in the closet and would not come out as an argument broke out between the two men and the client. This issue may go to small claims court. I used to use this company with no problems in the past but after what I witnessed... it has gone downhill and I would never use it again. Total disaster. The men disappeared for an hour at lunch, then they went to Tim Hortons for a coffee break all elevating the cost to my friend. My impression is that this company is crooked.

This company is a full of scammers. This was the worst move I’ve ever suffered through and they charge too much for the mediocre services they provide. Your movers were late. They did not handle my things with care. I have a broken table, chair, vases and mugs. What should have taken maybe 4 hours took 6 because your movers moved incredibly slow. And to top it off the managers knew I was upset and did not reach out to me. When I called their office several times on 6/23/19 and 6/24/2019 no one picked up. I tried to speak to the manager Terry but he did not pick up any of my calls. This morning I woke up to see they charged a different card than the one I provided you on the day of the move.

This is the worst company I’ve had the displeasure of hiring. They call themselves a “real” moving company but don’t fall for it. Their movers are unprofessional: after arriving late, they joked about how IKEA bed and to break. And then when they moved my bed a part of it fell out of the frame, one of the movers broke a glass panel in my table before we even left the first apartment. They continued to joke about breaking my things. They said they would provide me with a TV box to transport my TV. This was a lie. The next day I realized the leg on one of my chairs was broken. I cut myself on a broken vase that I carefully bubble wrapped but the way Avery handled my things it’s unsurprising that it was broken. If you are looking to move you’re better of hiring ANYONE ELSE. This company is unprofessional and full of scammers. And how dare you charge the wrong card!!!

Anyone moving in the near future, please do not use Two Men And a Truck!!! My husband, Garett, and I used them a few years ago for our move and had a great experience, so needless to say after buying our house we decided to use them again! Garett and I tried to stay out of their way and let them work, that was probably a huge mistake! First off, I was at the new house working while Garett was at our old house with the movers. I stayed in contact with him throughout the day to check on progress. About 2 1/2 hours into the morning Garett said the movers were heading here. Garett left our old house after the movers and got here 30 minutes before them! We were never informed they would be stopping for lunch. I did not know they had stopped for lunch on their way to Crestview, so I offered to go get them and my husband lunch.

One guy only wanted gummy bears. So, I went to Zaxby’s then to a gas station and headed back to give them all food. I assisted my husband in unloading his truck with boxes and various items. As I was carrying our printer upstairs to the office, the movers were carrying up our washer. I hear one guy say, "Oh, **," and they both start giggling. One guy asked the other guy, "Did you just do that?" The other guy responded, "Yeah I think so." I immediately look for damaged walls, nothing YET. After the movers finish up one of the guys tells Garett the total. Garett pulls out his phone to figure in a tip. As Garett is figuring in a tip, he notices that the tip portion says zero. The guy asks my husband what is he trying to calculate and my husband tells him a tip. The guy tells my husband, "Oh I put 0 in the tip line." Garett asks the guy if people generally do not tip them and the guys response is they tip in cash.

He goes into a big ordeal about the fact they do not receive tips when they are done in credit card form as opposed to cash. He said that if a customer tips $20 then they only receive $10. He then asks if we have cash instead. So, my husband asks me to run to an ATM to get a cash tip for the guys out of courtesy. I end up spending 40 minutes of my day going to 3 separate ATMS looking for a working one to pull out cash. The credit card tip was originally going to be $100, but since we had to do cash my husband said to get $80 since it is easier to split in half. I get back to the house and the movers are sitting on our front porch, finished moving and waiting on their tip. As I hand the tip to one guy, he begins counting it in front of me!

It is not until they are gone and my husband and I go to start organizing everything that I see the damage to multiple items including walls. I am also missing my vanity stool. Garett calls the mover on Saturday night after checking both houses and is told he will call us back Monday morning about my missing stool (when he can check his truck). We never hear from him, so my husband calls the company and speaks to Stephenie, the receptionist. She is apologetic and ask him to send a picture of the vanity stool that is missing.

I decided later that I would email her pictures of the damaged walls, living room floor, and furniture. I even specified that we do not blame the company for the mover’s mistakes. We are both told by her that the manager, DJ, will be contacting us that day. This was yesterday and we still have not received a call from him! I would have hoped that he would have the integrity and customer service to contact us quickly. I even did not touch up paint the walls yet in hopes that he would like to come see the damage first hand.

My husband and I bought our house on the 3rd and did minor touch up painting from previous owners prior to physically moving in. We paid $652 plus an $80 cash tip for professional movers. Two Men And a Truck’s motto is "Movers who care!" My husband and I have brand new furniture or less than 2 years old. We also take care of our stuff. I am not saying anyone else’s stuff is less important but the fact that we had flawless furniture prior to them moving us and the guys did not have the integrity to tell us they damaged anything!

We are very understanding people and get that accidents happen, but this is unacceptable. Just look at the pictures of our walls (they even propped an adjustable bed base up on the wall where the metal mattress rail was hitting the wall), our stairwell has multiple areas of damage, our wood floor in the living room, our ladder bookshelf, my makeup vanity leg is scuffed and missing the stool, our bookcase is massively scratched, our new washer is scratched all over one side, two living chairs.... I am still finding stuff as I go!

Saturday night my husband called one of our movers about my missing vanity stool. He said he would call us on Monday morning when he was able to check his truck. We never heard from him, so my husband called him on Monday morning. After getting no response, my husband contacted the office and spoke with Stephenie. She told us we would be contacted by the manager that day. Tuesday morning comes and still nothing, so I wrote a review (which is not my nature). Shortly after my review I get a call from the manager DJ. He told me he would be coming to our house to look at damages and that I would also be contacted by a furniture repair company on Tuesday, neither happened. Then comes Wednesday afternoon and my husband speaks with DJ. He tells my husband that the only way the company will pay for THEIR damages is if I remove my reviews (which could hinder their future business).

That is not only unethical but also illegal. The company is responsible for fixing their damages and mover’s negligence as well as replacing my missing vanity stool. My called DJ to tell him we will gladly revise or even delete all reviews once this is all resolved. DJ did not answer his phone nor has he called us back! It is now Thursday afternoon, 5 days after our move. This is horrible customer service! We are first time homeowners and now have damage both to our new home and our new furniture. I also have a missing vanity stool.

Please people take time to read reviews prior to hiring them! I was hoping we were a fluke, but this is an ongoing thing. I’ve had multiple people read my reviews and contact me about their own experiences. DJ, I know managing is hard (I do it too) but please act with integrity. Your staff must be led by example. If you damage a customer’s property, you admit it and fix it. You do not bully someone and say the only way you will pay for your damages is if we remove an honest review.

We moved mid May. According to the men who moved us the Two Men and a Truck office was not functioning properly since a change of ownership two weeks earlier. The office could find no record of our deposit on moving day, so it was not deducted from our moving charges. The mover supervising the move said he would check on the deposit when he went back and see that we were credited for it if one had been charged to our credit card.

On receiving our credit card statement we found that a $100.00 deposit had been charged to our card early in May. We were never credited for it. We absolutely are getting no response to our emails except to say that they have been forwarded somewhere. Our phone call to be returned by a supervisor was never returned. We tipped our movers very generously. It sure would be nice if we could get some responsibility taken on our very appropriate request for a credit to our credit card or a refund of our $100.00.

They had to take my table apart to move it so they flipped it over on the bare floor (no blankets to protect it) and took the table top off. They did this not once but twice. Once at house we moved from and again in new house. When I looked at my table it was scratched and had swirl marks from being slid on floor. It took 2 weeks to get someone to come out and look at damaged furniture. Another couple weeks before someone came and picked up table for repairs. I have since received my table and it has several marks on it and you can see drip marks and other marks that were not there before. I have called and emailed them and I get absolutely no response.

My worst experience ever. I believe it was the 2nd worst experience ever. The first was my first marriage. Anybody uses this company, beware of the Insurance offer they have. First of all they cracked the screen of my 60 LG 4k TV which cost me 1000 dollars a year ago leaving it useless to me. The picture is destroyed. Lost several pieces to my furniture and dented one of my appliance stands. Let's get to the good part. They offer an insurance scam when they arrive which was not mentioned until they arrived at my door to pick up. You decide what you think is fair. They offer you a free insurance which they will give you .60 cents a pound of damage that they create so a 40 lb TV will get you around $24.00. That gives them a lot of damage they can create if you ask me.

Nothing you own is worth that. Or you can get option 2 which 35,000 dollars with no deductible at a charge of 13.00 per 1000 dollars of declared value at a charge of $455 dollars or you can pay 4.25 per 1000 dollars of declared value at an additional charge of 148.75. I probably should of took option 2 and declared the value of 10,000 dollars but I was stressed for time because the longer I take to decide the more it cost me. So my advice to anyone using them, get the best insurance you can get of the 3 and pray you don't have the experience I had. Pay the extra. Usually it will pay off in the end. My advise is to move the expensive stuff yourself and let them handle the junk. Or just call 1-800 Got Junk and let them move you.

I contacted numerous times to see what the solution is and was told their repair person/company is on vacation. Approximately a week ago I was told that the person who handles the repairs would be out Sunday morning between 10am-11am. Sunday has come and gone. I received a NO CALL/NO SHOW from this alleged repair person. I am extremely unsatisfied thus far. Two men showed up and were awful. Used BIG boxes to finish packing. Short story, after 4 weeks I went into the shed to see the last packing boxes crushing. Company in Panama City and Lansing Michigan (corporate) refused to repack. Said it had been too long (54 days). I repacked five big boxes myself. One box had weights, record albums, and other heavy items together in one box! I feel sorry for others that used them to have items packed and moved to outlying areas with the assumption that once they returned home after repairs, that their items would be as they left them. I would not refer them to anyone.

We needed help moving our 3 bedroom 2 bathroom flat to our new house and was referred to this company by a friend & it was the 3rd time we’ve used them. The guys were on time and it was more work than I think they may have anticipated, but they didn't complain at all. Not only did they have to bubble wrap all of our furniture, we’re on the 6th floor so they had to go up & down the elevator all day long & thru the parking garage to load the truck instead of thru the lobby because of the tiled floor.

They worked 8 hours straight without a break & didn’t leave a single scratch at our house during the move. It only took them 3 hours to unload the truck. They put boxes in every single one of our rooms they belonged in & also assembled our beds in both bedrooms. They also had to move our NordicTrack treadmill which is extremely heavy & anyone who has had one knows how difficult it is to transport. They also didn't leave a single mark or scratch at our new house & every single piece of furniture is in perfect condition without a dent or mark on it. By this point it had been 12 hours non stop but they still took the time to help my husband arrange our dining room set & couch exactly where he wanted it even though our dining room table is extremely heavy and our couch is extra large but again helped us with no complaint.

I was completely comfortable around the guys & felt safe with them working around my daughter & brand new grandbaby which is usually not the case when having strangers in the house working, we usually have to be more alert especially when they’re men but I haven’t once felt uncomfortable around any of the guys that have helped us move. I am extremely grateful for all of their hard work, we’re a very busy family & having the move go this smoothly was a blessing. I would recommend this company to friends & family & we will be using this company in the future. Thanks. Thanks.

While the moving team was polite and hard working on the first day, the second day it all went downhill. The worst of it was that some of our items were damaged by them. Fiestaware collectors dishes were broken. Dining room furniture scratched. Worst of all, my 1 year old Shark vacuum cleaner and our 1 year old Bissell carpet cleaner were both damaged when our sand box was tipped over on it inside the moving truck. They were both covered in sand, all inside the motor and buttons. The claims rep, Dave, insisted that we give them an opportunity to repair them with a certified vacuum repair company. We weren’t happy about that but we agreed. Instead, Dave attempted to repair them on his own, by taking them apart with a screw driver. He returned them both still broken.

We called to discuss this with him and he refused to replace it and said it was our fault. We now have an expensive vacuum cleaner that doesn’t work, and the warranty is voided on it since he opened it up himself, so we can’t even attempt to have it repaired by Shark. The carpet cleaner is unusable as well. The company refuses to take responsibility for it and will not replace any of the damaged items. I have called Jeremy, the president of Dover location, and haven’t received a call back as of now, even after multiple attempts to get ahold of him.

Our move was one block away, so imagine what would have happened if it was a greater distance. It was already a very expensive and extremely stressful situation for our family. Now we are out even more money with damaged furniture and dishes plus a damaged vacuum cleaner and carpet cleaner. I’m just shocked at how badly our family has been treated by the employees of this company. It’s shameful. We bought the movers donuts, pizza, drinks and snacks to show them how much we appreciated their hard work on our move, but they were still very reckless and lied about damaging our property. We attempted to handle this locally, then via corporate, and neither of them would do anything about it. What a shameful way to treat a family already going through a stressful time, especially for a company who claims to care about its customers.

I had already moved the clothes, television, discarded rugs, a coffee table and two end tables leaving only boxes and the big items (couch, mattress, dresser and bed frame). When I moved in, it had taken my previous movers 45 minutes to get my full apartment up but took Two Men And a Truck 90 minutes to get the stuff done and then another 90 minutes to the new apartment. Both apartments were in elevator buildings. The Two Men And a Truck charge based on an hourly rate. It is clear their goal is to maximize the move time to maximize the amount charged leaving the actual customer frustrated.

The only reason why the move took 3 hours, and not longer, was because I ended up doing most of the heavy lifting just to get the move completed in time. They took so long to unload the first elevator load that by the end 30 minutes it took for them to come back up I had the entire apartment with the exception of the mattress, couch and dresser at the elevator ready for the next load. It took another 50 minutes to get the mattress, couch, dresser and that one elevator load down to the truck. I didn't even have them pad any of the items because we were going across the street. Despite their "estimate," it should not three guys 50 minutes to move a couch, mattress and one elevator full of boxes to the truck.

On the move into the new apartment. The movers kept on locking themselves and at one point one of the movers left to go back to search for his hat. The individual unloading the truck watched the other two movers come back down occasionally moving a couple of items from the truck. Similar to the experience above, I ended up moving all of the boxes down to the storage units (which were about half of the boxes) because they wouldn't have been able to complete it before I had to turn into my other keys.

I spoke with Taylor ** who was especially rude and did not care about the poor professional service. He didn't care that that the movers disappeared for 30 minutes and only response was they gave us a third guy and they came in at the tail end of the estimate. Which solidifies my conclusion they don't care about how long it actually takes but rather their goal is to maximize the move time given the hourly rate. For someone whose slogan is the "movers who care," they truly do not care about the performance. The only positive was the front experience was great. They were quick in providing the insurance forms. I received the condo moving forms which listed this as a requirement. They turned it around in 60 minutes. Overall, please do not make the same mistake I did and find someone else.

The guys who did my move did a nice job. Unfortunately their company policy did not allow them to finish the job. They refused to put my bed together at the end of the move since I had already taken it apart to put it in storage. I had to pay a ridiculous rate for this move because it went “interstate”, moving from Haverhill to Salem, NH (less than 10 miles). This is the worst move experience I’ve ever had!

Let's see if they delete this review. I was scammed by the Jacksonville, FL team. If their phone number is 904-745-0705 DO NOT USE THEM. They quoted me a move from a 3 bedroom condo to a house in town for $2645 which included packing, boxes, loading ONE truck and offloading to my new house. Day one, they packed everything, and all went as expected. Day 2, after the same guys spent 4 hours or so packing my belongings and going into midday of the loading, they tell me that they need another truck/crew in order to finish the job.

Of course, I'm in a bind as I have to vacate the condo I had just sold, so they got me with what ended up being another $1,000 I was not planning for. To make things worse, they damaged one of my TVs but said it wasn't worth anything and offered $100 "just to get rid of me" and it's been a month after the move and still haven't received the check. That's ok, I don't need it. So they are going to respond that the initial quote was an ESTIMATE. Understand that, but one of the kids that did the packing and came for the loading on day 2 told me that he knew and communicated the prior day that they were going to need more than one truck after packing. Reader beware. Again DON'T USE THESE GUYS.

I'm not even sure where to begin. The move went so terribly. I moved from Midtown to Brookhaven last Saturday and the movers were the worst employees I've ever met. I caught 2 of the men sauntering around my condo complex and when I asked if I could help them they said they were looking for a vending machine. This condo complex is a nice community in Midtown, Atlanta and does not have vending machines. Your employees shouldn't be looking for snacks while on the job. I caught the other man face timing a woman while on the job. The lack of hustle and pure lack of effort was astounding.

When we left Midtown to drive to Brookhaven (15 min drive) the men did not show up to my Brookhaven townhome for 50 min. I'm not sure where they went but I'm assuming to grab dinner or a snack while on the clock. When they finally arrived to the Brookhaven townhome, I asked them in they got lost on the drive. They joked that they got pulled over by a cop. This was not funny to me as I am paying $142 per hour! I wish the move got better from here but it gets worse. One of the men smashed my ceiling with a headboard and was going to hide the dinged ceiling. He did not realize that I was watching from the kitchen and wouldn't have said anything.

At the end of the move we went to tip and noticed $20 had been taken out of my boyfriend's wallet. We had put aside $30 to tip, and my boyfriend verified he had the money when we arrived at the townhome. One of the men took $20 out of his wallet and so when we went to tip we only had $10. The gentleman in charge said we could put the $30 tip on the credit card which we had no choice to do.

We ended up tipping (or should I say throwing away) $50 ($20 was stolen) for horrendous service and after being robbed. After the men left, we noticed they left 2 items just in the garage (a grill and large rug). The movers didn't even complete the move successfully. Please do yourself a favor and stay FAR AWAY from this god awful business! I have been trying to get in to contact with the franchise owner for 3 days and can't get someone to call me back. You would think after hearing that an employee stole from a customer that they would call back immediately but I guessed wrong!

Baleigh ** gave me prices and told me as long as it is in my house which is 1 level to move boxes to the basement will not be extra, I will only pay for the amount of boxes they will pack per box including all packing material. Copy of her Packing services are charged one price per container. The price includes the box, tape, packing paper, time, and labor. Therefore, if it takes 5 minutes or two hours, the price will be the same. The price is based on the size of the box. Small- $9.75, Medium- $14.75, Large-$18.25.

Today when I called and set up for next week she took my cc information and set it up for me. In about 5 minutes she calls back and giving me different information and additional charges, she stated that her manager did not give her correct information, so I asked to speak to the manager and after waiting 10 minutes on the line manager Christina ** gets on the phone and says that I should be happy that they called back and told me this before their guys came to pack me, and the prices per box manager gave me is 2.5 times more than what I got quoted last week over the phone and in the email. This was by far the worst moving experience and would never recommend this moving company to anyone. Below outlines everything that happened during my moving experience: Upon arrival at my apartment, the two movers were complaining about being tired because of their morning job. They pointed out their morning client had not packed anything and had severely underestimated the work. That being said, it took them less time to move their morning client then myself.

Due to the men being so tired, they moved extremely slow. It would be up to 30 mins before anyone came and moved any items. I and my boyfriend went downstairs several times and found them just sitting and smoking. I understand we all need a break but I should not have to pay for it. My apartment was only 1100sqft, with all items boxed and furniture was broken down. It took this moving company over 4 hours just to move the items to their truck. It took so long, we couldn't even afford for them to put the boxes and furniture in their proper room in my house because of the rising cost. I ended up with almost all my boxes in my living room as a means to cut cost. By the time this move was over, I was out of $820 with nothing to show for it.

The reason I know I was taken advantage of was because I moved the same amount of stuff last year with just the help of my parents and a friend and it took 4 hours. Oh, and if you're wondering if the cost came from the travel distance to my new home, it was only a 5 min drive down the street. Needless to say, if you want to be out of $800 for a tiny apartment and pay for people's lunch break, then this company is for you. I will certainly not be using them when I move again.

Without a doubt the worst moving experience I've ever had. Initially 3 movers came. When we first spoke on the phone with the estimator, we gave them ALL the necessary information they'd need to prepare accordingly for the move. We gave them all the square footage, number of rooms, closets, etc. They had everything they needed to be ready. So 3 movers show up and start going through the house. Immediately you can tell morale is low. We can hear them grumbling and huffing and sighing. Now I get that moving isn't the most swell job in the world, but if we're paying a company approx. 3300 dollars, I don't EVER want to hear a mover complain about their job. You're being paid to do a job, so ** do it.

So the movers fail to lay down floor protection on the carpet (despite having it on the truck). They trample in and out of the rain on our carpet. So we're already annoyed. Then, it turns for the worse. One of the sliding doors to our laundry room gets broken. THAT MORNING, the door was in perfect working order as it has been for the last 4 years that we've lived in that house. My mother asked the movers what happened to the door, and they sat there and tried to tell us that's "how it was". No the ** it was not.

We literally HEARD the bang that broke the door. So they sat there and didn't own up to it, and lied to us. Then one of these pathetic excuses for movers asked my mother "are you mad about it?" Which... obviously we're mad about it as now the repair is going to likely come out of our pockets. My mother explains this to the movers, and one of them literally responds with "blah blah blah blah blah"...TO MY MOTHER'S FACE. In our own home. So by this point we're royally pissed off and the movers are as well. So after they worked fantastically ** slow (the supervisor packed 3 boxes in 2 hours... stellar), we head to the new house.

That unload goes relatively well, but tensions are high. After that unload, we go back to the old house. The movers continuously asked us whether certain items were going to the new house or not. Which... it should be OBVIOUS that every item is going, it's a full pack and we told them that. So when we tell them that said obvious items need to go to the new house... guess what? MORE whining, MORE grumbling and MORE complaining. So the movers inform us they are out of boxes, but have left entire closets filled with items and left our bedding on the floor.

When we asked them if they were planning on packing the boxes, the supervisor's word-for-word response was "well I'm out of boxes so I don't know what you want me to do." Finally as we're packing our OWN bedding (something I'm pretty sure we paid 3300 to have covered FOR us), the grumbling goes too far and my mother calls them out for it. To which this ** of a supervisor responds (well I'm tired of dealing with your attitude), when we started the process off in the most cordial manner possible.

Finally we leave the house and they begin the final unload. The movers decide that they're basically done, and start dumping our belongings wherever, in an absolute MESS throughout our house. We also later discovered that a very expensive urn was broken in the move too. So to conclude, Two Men and a Truck sent the absolute most unprofessional supervisor I have ever encountered... And I have moved over 15 times in my lifetime. I couldn't recommend a company LESS to someone. Avoid this company at ALL COST. Use literally ANYBODY else. I can't stress this enough. An absolute piss poor excuse of a company. Unprofessional, disrespectful, and downright ** laughable! TL;DR Don't bother hiring this waste man ** company. If I could give a negative review, I would. If I had enough money to pay ALL of their clients to switch movers, I would. Absolutely atrocious.

I purchased a condo in Florida for my mother to retire to, and hired Two Men And A Truck. I ended up paying about 9k for the move itself and a $100 "deductible" to look into a few items that were damaged. About $6k in items were damaged, and it took us three months to get Two Men and A Truck to respond. Beyond that three months, still five months later they offered a few hundred dollars to repair said damage after charging me an additional deductible. I have become recently disabled and I did not want to fight. I did everything in my power to settle this matter and my settlement offer of $1600 (20% of the value of the damaged items) was refused.

Eventually this month (9 months after move) we ended up in civil court. Brittany ** of Two Men And A Truck intentionally misrepresented the course of events under oath, at times bitter and hurling personal attacks. Brittany knowingly lied to the judge, stating that I was not involved in the project. The truth is, all contacts, the quotes and phone conversations, contract review, all bills, schedule and mover direction was handled by me personally. Essentially, she used my mother who has early onset dementia as the reason to argue that it was in fact us that had not handled things properly just to save a few bucks.

I do not have the appropriate words to describe how I feel about this organization. I am not an emotional person but I was driven to tears about how we were treated in the car after leaving that courtroom. This was a minor disagreement on how much our damaged items were worth that could have been resolved peacefully without such events taking place.

Putting an unwrapped/unprotected marble chandelier into a large box of garden tools - rakes, shovels, etc? Things were disrespectfully stacked on top of each other and many things were improperly or completely uncovered. I stopped several things like this while in process, however could not be everywhere at once, with 5 men moving.

Luckily I had boxed most of my fragile items prior to the move, or things would have likely been even worse. PA PUC also estimates “local” rate per hour for 3 movers at $135.0-$150.00 per hour. PA PUC states that: (If the actual bill exceeds the estimate by more than 10% you must pay the estimated charges plus 10% of the estimate or $25 (whichever is greater). You have up to 15 days after delivery to pay the balance. I am a single, senior woman with no local family help trying to make ends meet. We have previously used Two Men and a Truck for small moves without unforeseen issues. For our large move we requested a rep come assess our home and furniture. Steve **, Sales Rep, was very professional and took the time to understand the value and needs going into this move. We actually had him come out a second time. He estimated our move as 1 day, 7.50-9.50 hrs, 1 truck 3 men. He also made a note on paperwork for movers “very nice house, very nice furniture, need strong movers and well trained movers.”

Now the move... Movers were kind, showed up promptly, and assessed the move. It was evident that only one mover had “trained” experience. One mover was actually new to the company. There was no system to work together on large pieces, a large and very heavy dresser was slid down hardwood stairs being moved by 1 man. Everything was placed on a hand truck, no traditional move of two man carrying a piece of furniture. Because of the 1 man and a hand truck for every piece; requiring stopping to reposition as to not fall off (that did happen a time or two), our 1 day move turned into 2 days. Estimated time was burned up before packing up the truck.

Due to the furniture value, we opted to purchase the optional “Shipper Declaration of Value” through Two Men and a Truck. PLEASE NOTE: After the move we learned this is not a third party company. This is through THEIR company. They do not use the word insurance for that exact reason because it’s NOT. We had more than 35% of our furniture (almost every large piece) damaged (large piece of granite for dresser, leather sofa, 3 piece sectional, antique dining table, etc.). Most were sliced from the hand truck.

The lead mover took pictures and kindly acknowledged all the damage as it happened. I was told the next day 2 people from Claims would come out to view and file the claim. No phone call, no visit. After I made numerous calls and sent a group email to various departments and receiving no return phone calls, we are now contacting Corporate. We have thousands of dollars in damage and 2 months later... NOTHING! Unfortunately, these reviews are consistent and supportive to similar situations.

My experience interacting with your administrative office was fantastic, and the woman (Kay **) who helped coordinate my service seemed to be on the ball. We discussed rates and went through listing every piece of furniture in my home as well as the logistics relating to the new home. The new home was two stories, we had x many boxes, etc. The estimate was seemingly customized based specifically on what I needed, but you’ll see below how this disaster unfolded.

When only two gentlemen arrived to my house, I was concerned. When they started to load VERY SLOWLY and seemingly inefficiently, I was even more concerned. They seemed to be novices, and struggled with everything. One of them was new to the company and had no depth perception so he kept banging everything into the door jambs. It was frustrating but there was no major damage. About an hour in, I was told they would have to make two trips. Fine, I said. It took them about 4 hours to pack the truck and by the time they arrived to my new home, they were gassed. I was told by one of them that it was his last day and he hated that the company routinely set him up to fail with these jobs. Meaning, they didn’t send enough people and he was always struggling with his assignments. He told me that only the expensive “preppy” jobs get the biggest and strongest team, etc.

At this point, I was forced to authorize more time before they'd start unloading the truck. I was told 1 additional hour beyond the estimate. No way, I thought. These two amateurs attempted to begin bringing pieces upstairs. First piece - took a huge chunk out of my wood banister. Second piece - my son’s custom Bellini crib - scratched across the entire front and on the wall. Third piece - Restoration Hardware king bed - they kept dropping the whole way up and then put it together incorrectly! They were so tired, they were barely walking back to the truck as they attempted to catch their breath. At this point we called headquarters and I made a complaint to General Manager John ** that they were under gunned and wouldn’t be able to finish the job, or would take two days doing so.

I got the company line regarding an estimate being just an estimate, etc. In other words, we send whomever we want and you deal with their inefficiency and inability to do the job. And pay for it! I understand the process of an estimate to be a ballpark, but this was ridiculous. Two Men put their employees in a position where they could not succeed and it was on my dime.

Second phone call to John and the two movers are now on the phone too, begging for help. He tells me help is now on the way and to hang in there. Three additional movers show up. They begin by trying to bring a desk up the stairs to the office. Literally drop it twice, scratch the wall, and the thing is broken in three pieces before they leave it in the garage and take off. I overheard them telling the original moving team that they didn't want $25 coming out of their payroll checks every week for the next few months. Clearly, they knew they were set up for failure and didn't want to help at their own expense.

At this point, our new home has been damaged, most of our stuff is on the truck, and the two movers originally assigned to us are pissed and sitting in the truck to take a break. On the phone with John ** again, I am told that unless I want to incur additional damage that the best thing is to leave all of our stuff in the garage because the stairwell is “too narrow.” This, after they clearly had the capability to move FAR MORE furniture of bigger sizes just the previous week! As opposed to us moving ONE BEDROOM and ONE OFFICE up the stairs. I am literally emailing John with photos of the damage in real time as I discover it at this point and he is reassuring me they’ll have it repaired for me and not to worry. Completely unreasonable and scary to be in this position. After another 2 hours of these guys trudging through it, all of our stuff is in the garage and they leave. We had to hire additional movers weeks later to finish the job.

The job was not completed. The time charge was twice was it should have been. And my furniture and home was damaged. After calling yet again regarding the damage I was given the phone number of their repair person and told to call and schedule time for him to come out. He came out and did the best job he could to repair the damage about 3 weeks later. It’s not perfect but it’s not super noticeable. Unfortunately, he was unable to repair the desk and it went in the trash. When I called John ** to find out how I would be reimbursed for the broken desk, per his previous statement, he told me the release I signed meant that I would be getting nothing. So, he lied. Even though his team clearly broke it, and it clearly could have been avoided. When I told him I would seek alternate remedies, he told me even if I sued him I would be getting pennies on the dollar of the original value and he welcomed my doing so.

The full charge for the inflated hours remains on my credit card, with no apology or consideration for my horrible experience. Clearly, a situation where they could have made this customer happy with nominal consideration, but John made the decision that the customer is wrong. I strongly urge you to explore using a smaller, local company with white glove service and customer friendly infrastructure before ever considering these terrible movers Two Men And a Truck.

I brought my issues to 2 different managers (Greg ** and George **), the district manager (Rodney **) and their corporate office dealing with Charly **, along with their office staff- and they are nonresponsive to remediating nor will take responsibility for their actions.

I am out almost $342 for a tv stand that is in a hundred pieces, (2) end tables at $80 each - one of these they packed with a window air conditioner sitting on top of it, a bathroom cabinet at $350, a floor lamp at $72, plus the tax on all these items. I also have missing cabinet pieces for brand new cabinets and a brand new pantry at $1,572 that they scratched and attempted to cover with white paint that did not even match the color.

I hired this company to move this past summer and in moving my couch up to the fourth floor of the building, they broke off a sprinkler head in the hallway. Thousands of gallons of water came gushing down and ultimately caused about $500,000 in damage to the newly built building. And when I tried to get my couch replaced, they told me that items are only insured for 60 cents per pound. That's right - even if you have a 4-pound item that is worth $4,000, they will compensate you only $2.40 if they break it. This company is pathetic.

UPDATE: I was told today that the cost of refund would be 60 cents per pound. For a new $1000 dryer dropped by movers. This is because we 'did not chose full value protection' option while signing paperwork. While I understand that lady's opinion, - once I was given a form for signature we were told 'sign here, this is your insurance' - and 3 witnesses were there. Nobody was explaining us which options we had. Seriously, this is actually quite sad that such a reliable company goes with the elusiveness and not admitting their mistake. No additional refund for scratched door and scratched linoleum was also offered. I still hope that when 'owner returns from vacation' - we might resolve this issue. If so - I'll update this review. If not - I'll search legal help.

In December 15, 2018, I contacted “Two Men And a Truck” (HENRICO, VA, 804-716-5163) with a request for a quote/ order placement, which included taking my belongings from ABF U-Pack POD, and delivering these to my home address with “Two men and a truck’s" vehicle. I was sure that I will receive a quality full moving service and so I trusted “Two Men And a Truck” with my belongings.

The moving date was set for 18 December. While items were loaded into the “Two Men And a Truck” vehicle, dock seemed to be somewhat high for the truck, and no ramp, dock board, etc. have been used. The movers handled my furniture and moving boxes carelessly. Dryer was dropped from about 1 feet height that caused a back lid bent. I am not sure of inside damage as I have not yet tested this, full of electronic, unit. This drier was almost brand-new unit, which costed $999.

Inside the apartment while placing the drier into the laundry room, the movers forgot to close the laundry room door, that cut off a 5’’ clearance. Even though the dryer did not fit the clearance, the movers applied force to push it through between the door and a counter, which caused the front cover being severely scratched. This accident would be fully avoidable, should they stop and think on how to properly position a dryer inside, prior to doing so. At this point this poor drier was having a damage front door and back lid bent... Besides, the laminate floor in the apartment has been also scratched by pushing the dryer on the floor... Laminate surface is now damaged. There were miscellaneous damages such as my dad's picture frame glass being broken, and broken plastic box (which does not cost much but adds to unpleasant experience).

Bottom line - 1) Triple the hours estimated and 2) They dropped my computer and damaged the picture and say they are not responsible to do anything about it. When they arrived they said their administrator had not told them they were moving my furniture! She only told them some boxes and a piano. She had not told them I needed help with finishing packing as I had been ill. They were very nice and polite but incredibly slow. The estimate was 4 hours. It took them 12 hours!!! They kept telling me they were almost done. Then said they needed to call in a third man to make it go faster but that would increase my hourly rate. The third man showed up about 8 hours into the job. They said now I’d be happier it would go much more quickly. It did not!!! They seemed like they hardly knew what to do with packing up final items. They seemed disorganized with each other. Some things I told them were trash they ended up loading in the truck.

Finally when I complained that every time I ask how long, they say the same thing - almost done, he replied that he just wanted to sound positive. I feel they took advantage of me as I was a single older woman alone and had just gotten over pneumonia so did not have the strength to do other than trust them to do the job. It was the worst moving experience of my life. I would never recommend them. I gave them two stars because eventually they did get my stuff from one place to the other and they were kind-spoken. But being nice does not make up for having to pay nearly $4,000 to move a mile up the road, and have a damaged computer.

Let me set the tone (I do not normally complain). I selected this company thinking [i] they are a national chain. [ii] No company can be that large without having good credentials. Terrible experience, from inexperienced movers, to house damage of multiple walls and ceilings. Furniture including box frame they could not get up the stairs. The worst part, they charged me for the additional hours it took them to fail to get things into my property, telling me that's how long they were there. I understand they were there for 5 hours, but I am not at fault for inept staff who cannot carry out tasks in a regular timeframe.

Still waiting almost 2 months for them to come and repair the damages after they have visited 3 times (only due to consistent complaints to their head office in Chicago). Very bad customer experience and awful customer service. Taylor ** would do better as a manager to spend some days in the field learning about customer engagement. He is void of any! I used them a few months back and got the rates, signed online and was satisfied. Used them again last month based on my first experience... BIG MISTAKE! I had a few pieces of furniture to move from my home to the house NEXT DOOR: I think I was quoted 125 an hour. Plus a truck fee of 120.00. I'm in Glen Mills, PA, they are in Glen Mills, PA, so a bit of excessive travel charge but knowing I only needed them a half hour to 45 minutes, I figured okay 250.00 and I don't have to bother friends. Then they added on after my phone conversation, a 120.00 VALUATION FEE? And charged me for two hours on a 30 minute move.

The first time I used them, I just signed the online contract and no problem. Did the same this time not noticing the added VALUATION FEE. None of my phone calls were returned but Dale ** of the Glen Mills office emailed me to say "We didn't have a valuation fee the first time you used us!" The best part is that it's optional? Who would want that when the company is supposedly already insured??? They have admitted overcharging me an hour but have yet to refund that. Used to be a decent company, but greed has taken over. I talked to their manager and he said he would send additional movers the following day and that I needed to pay him $600. I told him I was afraid that the move would not be completed in 2 days in light of the first day and he hung up on me. Also, on the first day, the movers that did show up had damaged furniture (scratched the Washing Machine and broke a vase). They also had trouble lifting a cabinet, and I had to step in to say wait for the next day as they would have damaged that as well.

I did go through paperwork with them, however, after signing, I never received my receipt or my copy of the services. Garrett then called me the next day and said if I did not pay him in full, he would not show up. He was extremely hostile the entire time, raising his voice trying to intimidate me so I would pay the full amount without the job being completed, nor really started for that matter. I did not agree to pay, and he did not show up.

I thought I was going to leave a great review. Two Men did a great job communicating about their arrival time. They spent 20-30 minutes carefully wrapping and inventorying everything, then they started hustling and got everything into the truck in the two hours I had estimated. Everything looked very securely loaded. Then the office staff was awesome about working with me through a relocation that did not go as planned. They rerouted the truck to a different state and still got it there on the right day. Again, great communication about arrival time.

But then, one of the delivery movers was clearly new at the job. It took the two guys about three hours just to move everything from the truck into a storage unit. As things were unloaded, it became clear that fragile and liquid items had been loaded sideways. I didn't find anything damaged or broken, but I'm worried I will later. I asked the guys if the storage unit would be big enough, and they said yes, they could make it fit. And they did, but they didn't leave a single inch of space for me to actually be able to access my stuff. And, with things being even more jam-packed than in the truck, I'm worried that more stuff is getting damaged right now. Overall, I'm kind of disappointed.

I will start this by saying this is not personal. The movers were curious and pleasant. I don’t want them to get fired. I am in the Army and I used your company when I moved from Ohio to Virginia 8 years ago. When the two movers from Two Men And a Truck moved me from Ohio my experience was awesome! They were efficient and I had NO damage. So when it was time to move this time I decided to use your company again. The first day was supposed to be packing everything up, and the second day was the load, move, and offload at the new location. My arrival time block for the pack day was 12 pm to 4 pm. The movers arrived at 3:12 pm. There were two young men (new) and one lead man. They couldn’t pack the dishes due to lack of proper packing equipment. They packed until 5:30 pm.

The next day my time window was 830-1000 am for them to come load my belongings. I informed them that the loading dock would open at 10 on Saturday, but that they should still arrive by 9 to finish packing the kitchen that didn’t get done on day 1. They arrived at 10:10 am. Rod, the lead, is a hard worker. However the twins (the two new movers) did not seem to know how or what to do and needed more guidance. I have a one bedroom apartment's worth of belongings, to include my Army equipment. I told them that they didn’t have to pack the bathrooms. It took them until 3:45 pm to finish loading. I was originally told we would be at my new apartment in Arlington by 2 pm. They arrived at my new apartment at 5:30 pm.

During the offloading, my couch leg was broken because they did not remove them for the move, my front door was scratched, my walls were severely dented and scratched, and my boyfriend had to come and take charge of the move. My boyfriend had to direct the two younger movers on how to offload and stage my belongings. There were three movers however both my boyfriend and I ended up having to help move my belongings into my new one bedroom apartment. During which time, furniture and my apartment received damage. Your company did not complete offloading my belongings until 9:50 pm! My boyfriend offloaded the majority of the boxes from the truck. I was charged $904.53 (transaction # **) for the first day of packing, that wasn’t even completed on the first day, and $2,254.50 for the second day.

There were some boxes that were not filled completely yet I was charged for them. I have so many boxes and NONE of them are labeled with what room they came from! A total of $3,159.03. This was as much as it cost for Two Men And a Truck to move me from Ohio to Virginia! Why would it be the same amount to move me an hour down the interstate? I have never experienced a move like this in my 19 years in the Army. I have included pictures of the damage. I paid for a service that both my boyfriend and I ended up having to participate in. Once again, this isn’t personal. The movers were nice. However the two new movers needed to be trained more prior to being on the job. And they did not receive enough guidance and direction from the lead mover. Each one of them operated separately and were not effective or efficient.

I asked the lead about completing a damage report, he only notated the damage on the cost paperwork. I don’t understand why I was charged over $900 for my packing or why I was then charged a second fee of over $2,000 for a move an hour away that my boyfriend and I had to help with. I need to be compensated for my damages that I now have to pay for. I am also requesting to be reimbursed some of my money for the time that was taken, the fact that some boxes have 1-2 items in them, and the fact that my boyfriend and I both had to jump in and start unloading and moving items in order to finish by 10 pm. That is 12 hours just for the second day. I am so disappointed. I no longer have confidence in your company.

I hired the company in Gambrills, MD for my move, and I never expected what I received! After paying $900 plus dollars paint in both stairways of my brand new house was destroyed. There were 3 men that was sent, but two men really only did the move which increased the time I paid for. I heard good reviews from other locations, that’s why I chose this company. I am now working with the local manager to get my walls repainted, but I will never recommend this location again!

The corporate office is amazing and has answered all my calls and told me they are looking into it. When you franchise a well-known company, you should make it your business, to hold the name up! The manager wasn’t understanding in my complaint and I understand he has to protect his company. The movers were polite, but I’m starting to think this local company is about the money versus the customers.

Our new home was 5 minutes away from the old location. The original invoice was $670.00. The final invoice was $ 880.00. They extra charged us. They said that they should spend more time and be more careful with our furniture because it was of good quality. But it was not like that. The top glass of the table was splintered into several sections, part of the leg of our Chinese buffet was broken, and many scratches on other furniture. We will never use or recommend them again.

I had this company pack me one day and move me the second. 2 Men and a Truck of Westerville Ohio are a SCAM. They were so unprofessional and downright unlawful... From precious China not being wrapped but stacked carelessly dish on top of dish to boxes being mislabeled or not labeled at all... To shrink wrapped items not being unwrapped upon delivery as told would be... To items being broken... To personal undergarments embarrassingly being played with that I caught red handed. Talk about CREEPY/SCARY... To employees talking negatively about the higher up staff in front of me... To running out of items and asking me for packing materials they are expected to provide themselves... That’s an added stress I shouldn’t have to worry about.

I’m paying good money for them to provide moving materials themselves... To rushing the move to where items were left on packing day not packed but hurriedly and Uncarefully loaded the next day on what was supposed to be only the moving day... most horrifying. At least 1 employee stole 2 rings and a guitar both of which are like heirlooms to me and irreplaceable... I was told to file a police report on those items but they won’t comply with the police so now I’m stuck with items that were stolen and heartbreak... Do NOT use this company. You will regret. Just Google reviews. You can see for yourself around the whole country. They are AWFUL even internationally...

This moving experience was an expensive nightmare! I had requested two men to move a 1 bedroom apartment 2 miles away. They insisted I needed three men and would save money... I said I wanted NO shrink wrapping because the move was close by. They did it anyway saying, "That's the way we were trained." This added more time to the move. The one item I mentioned I would like protected was my brand new couch. It was left uncovered and sustained two soil marks and some kind of track marks on one side that looks permanent in the upholstery. It took them over an hour to arrive at my 2 mile destination which I assume meant they took a lunch hour.

When my furniture arrived I was horrified to find that all the chests, desk and furnishings had been placed on their sides in the truck instead of upright! The desk now has a drawer that isn't connected right and a loose leg. The contents of drawers were a mess! The NEW couch is soiled. Somehow the TVs and computer got though it okay, as they said "they didn't know anything about moving those and I should have packed them myself."

By the time everything had been moved it had taken 3 additional hours and cost $300 MORE than the quote. Also, the driver-truck packer was given a key to my building to use during the move and did not return it. I will say I found the movers to be polite and respectful, especially the one of Mid-Eastern descent who was endlessly kind and helpful. I have use Two Men And a Truck in 2002 when it was new -- the movers were two mature men and the move was flawless, but this time it was a total nightmare and I would never use them again and would certainly NOT recommend them at all.

We have tried to handle this differently but that didn't work so now we will just send out a warning!!! We recently hired Two Men And a Truck to handle our move and considering we have moved more than 10 times in our military career this was extremely upsetting and we have NEVER experienced this issue. The price for this move was about $3,000!!! Prior to the move we repeatedly asked them if they wanted to see the house and gave them the specifics of our house. They arrived at 9 am and my husband was still there helping them load and unload after midnight. They ran out of boxes pretty early in the day and they began to wrap my containers without securing the items inside. We did discuss this with them, but no changes were made. (We were up against a deadline since we were closing on our house.)

Since they did not bring a big enough truck they had to unload it into the storage unit and then come back which caused delays and added to the cost. We saw many items simply set into the truck including the large bedroom mirror leaning up against a kitchen chair without being wrapped or protected in any way. (We have plenty of pictures including the inside of the truck immediately prior to driving off where it looks like things were thrown in if you need proof.) Since they did not finish loading everything from the house, my husband and I had to pack and load many items including bookcases at 6 am the next morning.

Once in the storage unit (where they unloaded) I found my bathroom towels and rugs in a heap on the floor. My bedroom furniture drawers were not wrapped and they have been stacked on each other with metal stands leaning against them. The art work from our house is stacked in the dresser drawers unwrapped and unprotected. So far we have found four broken pictures, but can only see so far into the unit.

We were there the entire time and were asking about how it was being handled. No real response or concern. We had been assured that they had it all covered and there would be no problem completing the move in one day. Since this did not happen the closing on our house had to be delayed and my husband and I had to cancel work to finish the move. We had hired someone to clean the house prior to the new owners taking possession, but since my husband and I were still loading furniture and DRAWERS of items they had missed the cleaning had to be cancelled. (We had to do it after loading our furniture into my van and a trailer borrowed from a neighbor.) We have attempted to deal with the company and the owner said he cannot refund some of our money but will give us a discount when they move it to our new home.

Due to the way it was packed and put into storage, I am very worried about what we will find when it arrives at our new home. I feel like we are being held hostage by this company because if we hire someone else they will be able to say that the other company caused the damage. I guess the best I can do is provide warnings. We have many pictures some I have posted on Facebook and some I have not. I am truly heartbroken that this happened. We have many boxes of pictures, memories, awards and military memorabilia that I am dreading have been damaged. We have never filed a complaint on a mover in all of our moves. Yes, we have had things broken, but that kind of comes with the territory. This was a very different issue and I hope we can save someone else what we have gone through with this company.

Outrageous price quoted to me. Moved a lot myself, was going to have them move remaining large items.

Made an appointment for estimator a week ahead to come out to give me price on remaining items. I called them 15 minutes before appointment time, was told by office staff that she had to take 2 employees to West Allis office, but she would make the appointment. She then asked what time my appointment was, I told her, and found out estimator wasn't at destination with employees, much less on her way to my appointment. Never called to say they would not make appointment. Canceled my move with them... found out later from friends who used them that they were not very professional and damaged a lot of their items. Worst experience EVER! Total rip off! Don't be fooled by the Two Men and a Truck Las Vegas South because they are interconnected! When the 2 movers arrived they kept saying that nowhere in the notes did it say there were stairs and that they needed 3 people instead of 2 (right before they left, they checked the paperwork and found that it did say stairs). I was quoted 2 men for 4 hours would be $625 (including transportation, truck, and light packing). It is a 3 bedroom condo but the amount of furniture would fit a 1 bedroom (1 bedroom set, a small dining set, a couch, a recliner, 2 bookshelves, 2 small TVs, a coffee table, and a desk) then of course boxed items. Some stuff still needed to be boxed and this was explained when I set the appointment.

This is not a lot of stuff so I knew that it could be done in 4 hours. While I was waiting for them during my 'window of time' I had a funny feeling so I called to be sure they were bringing boxes because when I originally scheduled, I said that a lot of things were already boxed but there was some left that needed to be packed. I had a feeling they wouldn't bring any boxes with them and I was right. I was informed that it was not noted on the account that I needed packing or boxes so I mentioned that I did tell the person who scheduled it that I did need some packing. They ended up bringing some boxes but after they arrived, they said that they didn't have any tape so they couldn't pack anything.

What moving company DOESN'T BRING TAPE!? They called someone else to bring some tape so they were standing around doing nothing for quite a while. While they were standing around, they kept saying they needed 3 people to do the move and weren't told there were stairs or that it was a three bedroom so they wanted to reschedule for a different day. They also explained how Two Men and a Truck Las Vegas and Two Men and a Truck Las Vegas South work together. I didn't understand how two people couldn't move the amount of furniture that equated to a 1 bedroom apartment. They suggested packing today then moving tomorrow and informed me that it would be around $1,000. I said that I would call them to let them know (since that was not the original agreement).

When I called to discuss it, they had already rescheduled me for the next day (without my permission) and the price quote was DOUBLED from the original $625. I told them I wanted to just cancel the whole job and they said they were going to charge me a $250 cancellation fee. When I asked for a manager she said there was not a manager and then said that the manager wasn't in today and I told her to have the manager call me back. HORRIBLE experience. The office person was rude and disrespectful and it was clear the movers didn't want to do the job. Nothing was done.

Started at 9 and finished around 7:30 pm. I found a living room end table in my bedroom, the frames on the beds were not put together properly and at the end, they just piled all the boxes in the family room. I had asked that the boxes go in the room but they didn't even try to put them in any order, they were all over the place -- I guess it was finally quitting time. I had to ask that they at least remove my TV from the box as they were on their way out.

I guess what really put me over the edge was a small expensive living room table that my father bought me went missing. When they found it and delivered it to me, it had rings on the top like it was used for water/coffee etc. and both ends were damaged. When I called to inquire about repairing it, I was told I had to pay $150 deductible before getting it fixed. I could understand if it was damaged in the move but it was never wrapped and for their blatant neglect they wanted me to pay for it. I used Two Men and a Truck over in Whitby and they were great -- this group was absolutely terrible and I would not recommend them to anyone.

This was a horrifying experience that just kept getting worse. I thought I knew what unprofessional movers were like, but it turns out I had no idea. To start with, we had booked them to arrive at 8:00 in the morning. They didn’t show up. When we called them, they claimed they had called us the previous week to tell us we’d been switched to a 1:00-2:00 pm arrival time, but that was a lie because no one in the family had talked to them and there had been no message left about it. 2:00 pm comes and goes and when we next call them they say we’ve suddenly been pushed to a 3:00-4:00 arrival time. At around 4:15, they claim they’ll be there in a few minutes and that we should expect them any moment now.

Finally, at 5:15, they arrive, and the real fun begins. They claim that the move will take longer than we were told and we were going to have to go over budget, even though we’d explicitly told them when scheduling the move how much we had to spend. But, well, it had to all get moved, so what choice did we really have? Of course, not all of it did get moved - first they claimed they didn’t have the right equipment to secure our two flat screen TVs, even though we’d made it clear well in advance we wanted them moved. They also didn’t bring a big enough truck, and ended up leaving behind numerous pieces of furniture we later had to go get ourselves.

We were also treated to the remarks of one of the men who seemed low key resentful of the fact we were moving from a two storey house to another two storey house, as that meant he had to take things up and down stairs. Isn’t that his job? I would think that just comes with being a mover, right? Speaking of stairs, at the next house they were somehow completely unable to get our spare washer and dryer down a completely standard sized staircase into the basement, and ended up leaving them in the garage instead. The garage would also be where they ended up leaving numerous very heavy boxes, a very heavy wooden chest, and even an entire bed frame. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the entire point of hiring a moving company that they put your stuff where it’s supposed to go in your new place, not just dump it all in a garage for you to sort through later?

They didn’t assemble any bed frames save the one in the garage, and couldn’t even determine which one went with which mattress. They also ripped the protective plastic sheeting off a nearly brand new $1000 mattress in the process of taking it up the stairs and proceeded to step on it with their shoes. Always a welcome sight on a bare mattress when it’s been raining all day outside. But the finale is definitely the cherry on top. While moving a dresser, one of the men who was wearing shorts cut his knee somehow and proceeded to bleed all over the white carpet. Not only did it create a stain that wouldn’t come up, it also posed a health risk to everyone in the house, as obviously, this is a complete stranger to us who could have anything.

When we tried to point this out to them, they actually LAUGHED like we’re crazy for maybe being a little upset and concerned about the blood all over the hallway. Then when we got even more upset, the head guy (the bleeding guy’s boss) just kept saying, “I’m an adult, stop treating me like a child.” I’m at a loss about what he even meant by this, as I don’t see how it even remotely factors into the situation at all. Us being extremely upset with him about his refusal to take our concerns seriously isn’t us treating him like a child. It’s us wanting him to treat us and our property with respect and professional courtesy. They all then abruptly slunk off into the night without even asking for payment. I had the check in my hand but they never came to get it, just drove off. At least this happened at the very end of the move and none of our stuff was still on the truck.

They’ve made some threatening phone calls trying to collect payment since then, but in light of all that happened, we’ll just be ignoring them. What they would owe us in overall damages is more than the cost of the move. So, long story short: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I’ve been through a lot of moves, and none of them have been anywhere near this horrible.

The lady that called me from Two Men And a Truck attempted to itemize my inventory. Even that was a painful process because she was having trouble navigating through her own computer system. Right so I could pay a mover by the hour to sit in rush hour traffic, NO. So they said they would reschedule me for 1st thing the next morning and would remove the trip charge, that was nice of them, the least they could do to make up for the day before. So the next morning rolls around and the 2 movers who took care of everything were nice and courteous. The supervisor explained to me not to worry about extra insurance or anything as they would take great care of my belongings. They took about 2 hours longer than was originally quoted... The supervisor made the comment that they should have sent 3 people because of the larger heavier pieces of furniture... He didn't know why the office didn't.

So the move is over an all good right... WRONG! 2 days after the move when I finally started unpacking I got to unpack and plug in my 60" LED 4k TV... Not cheap! Well guess what there was a large hand sized portion of the screen with broken LED's right in the top center of the screen like something had fallen into the box, then it would randomly restart the TV every 30 seconds or so. I contacted the management of the branch that I hired and they were polite and helpful. They spent a few days going over the claim with the Franchise owner and came back to me saying that they were not liable at all, not 1% as the TV was pre-boxed in a padded flat screen specific moving box. So I am now out $1500 for a new TV. Very bad business practice, Do not use this Alpharetta, GA branch of 2 Men And a Truck!

I called the office and was told by Josh, the manager, that he would review it and they would probably only be an hour over. Well they started at 3:30 and didn't finish loading till 8. I called him again and he was not as helpful. Said I had allegedly insisted on only 4 hours and didn't give accurate info yet he refused to let me listen to the tape claiming he wasn't authorized. He claimed he would give me a military discount, $80 for a damage waiver and not charge me the trip charge. I was not happy and I told him they had put a small hole in my wall which I had pointed out to the driver. He told me, with a lot of attitude, that he had just talked to the driver and it was not mentioned. It was evident he was accusing me of lying and I wasn't even asking for money for the damage!

I confronted the driver with the manager on my speaker phone and he at first denied and then admitted I had shown it to him but claimed he didn't do it. (At the time I showed him, he yelled at his partner and told him to be more careful.) The owner then called me and claimed he wanted me to be happy and that he would review it again and call me the next day and work something out. Well not only did he NOT call me, but they didn't finish until after midnight and I got charged almost $1100 with only the trip fee taken off. WORST moving experience I have ever had and I will never use them again or recommend them! I have never had a move take so long and I actually had less than I had with my last move! I also have never had to pay more than $500. I would RUN not walk from this company if I were you! Total scam artists!

9-20-2017 move. The two ** men intimidated my dear friend, talked her into leaving me in my old apartment. When they got to my new apartment, and my friend had to come back to get me, they went through my possessions and stole my laundry cart and at least 1 or 2 boxes, which contained precious, irreplaceable handmade afghans and many good quality blankets and irreplaceable hand stitched linens made by my grandmother. I also lost part of my Freedom Alert pendant set I use because I am disabled. I need to be able to call 911 if I have a health emergency. They also intimidated my friend so badly that she signed the release form claiming there was nothing left in the truck. They refused to open the back of the truck so she could see for sure.

These men were very intimidating to my friend. So much so that her husband begged me not to turn them in because he feared for both of our safety at home (me disabled alone) and my friend’s car. These guys saw her car and the license plate number. When I called corporate the same day demanding that a manager check their truck before they left shift for my stolen property, she refused!!! She said they would not steal.

I had a bad previous move with them 2-20-2017. I told my friends I did not want to use them. They had had no problems with their several moves. They were extremely fortunate!! The previous move took much longer than estimated, there was inexcusable damage to my furniture. Worse, one of the packers complained the whole time about being underpaid. It took me weeks to find my bedroom items he packed. He did not even mark the boxes as I asked. They were totally blank on the outside. Whatever you do, do not use this company!! They are incompetent and steal property. I just found out they are not even accredited movers. Oh my gosh!!!

I used Two Men and a Truck (Marietta, GA) for moving services. The company supplied 2 young men with little moving experience. It should have been a 2.5 hour pack job, 25 minute drive to new location, and 1 - 1.5 hours to unpack. The amount of time it took, 7 hours. As far as the items that were damaged due to negligence of Two Men and a Truck, here we go: bedroom suite: each piece of furniture was damaged - king size bed frame, chest of drawers, dresser, 2 night stands, Samsung washing machine (front load) was damaged beyond use, bookshelves and a credenza. I had to call Sears for an estimate for the washing machine ($85 just for estimate of washing machine) and to repair would have been over $1200 due to the damage caused by Two Men and a Truck. These are the not the only items that were damaged, just the main items I am mentioning.

I contacted the local branch to let them know of the damages. They sent 4 different people to my house to assess the damage. Two visits were for repairing the walls in the hallway in the upstairs, bookshelves and a credenza. One visit multiple people were sent to assess damage and they would take care of the problems. A girl in the office told me she would check to see about getting the washer repaired and needed time to research. After waiting a few weeks, I called and ask for their decision on what they were going to do (outcome) to repair my items. The branch manager made the decision not fix/repair/replace items because he said I did not purchase additional insurance through them. Everything I was told leading up to this final conversation was false.

I will never use this company again and I recommend no one else does either. The approximate charge for my move was $780 plus the loss of items $1200 washing machine, damaged furniture $450, damage to walls of the house $175. Even though moving companies are self insured, they would not pay for any damages or repairs. To my understanding, each branch is independently owned and operated. I called the corporate office of Two Men and a Truck and explained the situation hoping to get some help, but no. Corporate was just as unresponsive as the local branch. Horrible, horrible, horrible.

The day before my move I realized I didn't get any kind of confirmation about my move, so I called to confirm. It was after hours so corporate answered my call and said that they didn't have me in the system. They also said that might not mean anything and I could still be in the local system for the move. They could not confirm that I was moving the next morning, while all of my belongings were in boxes. When I called the next morning they said I was not in the system but someone cancelled and it was my "lucky day".

The movers themselves were not personable but they did take care of most of my belongings. They left an antique mirror behind at the loading dock which I had to pick up the next day. The movers were also not quick moving, the bill was more than what they had quoted me because you pay by the hour. They made an already stressful day extremely stressful. I have moved several times and this has by far been the worst move. I do not recommend this moving company.

Colorado Springs Location - There were several issues with Two Men and a Truck's move of my possessions: I paid to have my possession packed by the moving team. They forgot to check the drip pan area, below the oven, which contained three flat cooking pans. They also forgot the pants belts, hanging from a belt rack of the master bedroom. I gave Three Men all the information requested about the destination address. However, the delivery duration estimate was off by several hours, even though traffic and weather conditions were excellent.

The used toilet brushes and caddies, and the used plumber's helpers, were moved in contact with footwear, even though I had asked the crew to wrap these items in trash bags. The footrest of my recliner, which had been in good order before the move, now has an issue with the footrest. When the footrest is raised, the left side is several inches higher than the right side. Two Men has offered to compensate me for repairs. A magazine rack was damaged during the move. Two Men sent me a check as compensation. I am somewhat dissatisfied with this move by Two Men, as I had previously used the same company and location, and the service had been excellent.

You are not able to escalate your concerns to no one other that the actual person you have a problem with and then they harass you like it is your fault because they broke your furniture. Then the manager states, "While you paid $110.00 per hour but our rate is $140.00 so you already got a discount." I said, "Ma'am you are higher rate than everyone else. If your rate was $140.00 I would not have chosen your company. How dare you destroy my desk, threaten me to collection when I have A1 credit, be disrespectful on the phone."

And of course when I asked do they record those calls they do not, then make it seem like I am lucky you are trying to give me $67.00 then say because you are only obligated to give me $.60 per pound reimbursement. Come on. Why would I or anyone want to move with your company. Then she said, "We gave you 30 mins off." I said, "I know because you wouldn't have spent that time to wrap the desk and unwrap etc. for a desk you destroyed. Why would I pay for time while you destroyed my property." Used this company in May 2017. Overall, the moving service was mediocre, and I think it necessary to convey a few "complaints," and considering I paid almost $2,000 for a local move (i.e., moved about 1 mile), I think my objections are valid. I think the move took way too long. I was charged for a little over 10 hours, and quite frankly, considering the short distance of the move from one location to another, and the fact that I moved out of a small 950 sq ft apartment, the move should have gone much faster. In addition to their movers, I had 3 other people, including myself, moving smaller items and transporting them to my new residence. I think it's fair to say I saved their movers at least an hour of time by moving quite a bit of my own smaller belongings.

I had to leave behind a gas range and a treadmill, both of which were less than 2 years old! The movers apparently couldn't get the treadmill out of the room in which it was located; although, it was moved into the room in questioned fully assembled when I bought it. They said I would have to take it apart. I had to leave the gas range behind because your movers had ZERO tools, and all I needed was an adjustable wrench so that I could disconnect the gas line from the range. I DID NOT expect them to disconnect it, but they didn't even have a wrench to offer me. Quite frankly, I think since it was late in the day they did not want to be bothered moving another appliance. In any case, I'm not happy that I had to leave behind about $1,500 worth of my belongings. I don't consider that good service from what is supposedly a reputable moving company.

A piece of furniture, a kitchen island, was damaged. The hinge on one of the doors was damaged in the move, which I noticed the next day. At the end of the move, there was no going around checking for any damage to my belongings. The movers just wanted to get out of there. Also, they told me nothing about how to file a claim for damaged items. There were also come some missing shelves a bookshelf.

Clearly, there is room for significant improvement in various areas. Movers have no basic tools to disassemble items or the motivation to do so is poor customer service. Moreover, the movers should go around at the end of the move and inspect for damaged items to furniture and other fragile items. Furthermore, there have been more than 3 guys on a move, as the move took way too long for the amount of belongings I had. In any case, these guy took a lot of breaks and were away for lunch for 1.20 hours! They told me their break and lunchtime was deducted from the bill, but the numbers just didn't add up! I even gave them a $100 tip; although, in retrospect I'm not sure why I did considering what was overall poor service.

Someone from their local office contacted me (after several attempts on my part) and offered a measly settlement, which was less than the tip I provided the guys. So, the whole experience was a wash. In retrospect, I should have contacted my credit card company and reported the service as fraud. I would not use or recommended this company again.

I scheduled the move for June 17, 2017. I described the move to the agent. They sent a truck that was too small and only moved the larger items. I had to go back and move boxes and the rest myself. Most Importantly: I had an early 1900 Antique Cedar Chest on tall Queen Anne legs and I told the movers that this piece is fragile and cannot travel on its legs and needs to travel on its head.

We got to the new house and the mover called me into the truck. I saw the chest had traveled on its side and a leg was completely snapped off. They took the chest, repaired and returned in ok condition. However, it's very frustrating since antiques lose value with repairs and I gave specific instructions that were not followed. They had no interest in the loss of value and only that it was repaired.

Next, I found my antique curved glass china cupboard with the glass broken. They picked up to repair and it's now almost October 2017 and I still do not have my cupboard. I still have boxes all over since I cannot unpack without my cupboard. I have called and called but still no cupboard. I have escalated to the corporate office.

Antiques should be moved with care and I don't think the young staff understands the loss of value when they break these pieces. No compensation from the company either. One more thing... one of the movers bought my kitchen table and chairs and I still have not been paid for that. I would recommend to everyone to get a separate agreement signed for antiques or expensive merchandise! Wanted everyone to be prepared and CYA!

When I first talked with the rep on the phone, he was very congenial and business like. He answered all my questions and was pleasantly surprised to learn that they did not need a "down payment" to hold the rate he quoted. They called to verify as they said they would three days prior and we were good to go. The guys arriving in the truck were late. They called to tell me that traffic up in Atlanta was horrible. I believe it, but it was frustrating. When the three guys arrived, we went over the paper work and everything seemed to be in order. We had paid previously a $320 and the rest would be charged at the end of the day/move once it was determined how many hours were spent moving.

They were nice guys, were friendly, and worked hard to get things packed on the truck. But they just seemed disorganized and not efficient and lacking in professionalism in my view. They also asked us for drinks, which were happy to provide, but one would think they would carry their own water/drinks and even a snack since they knew they would be moving us for hours. I went ahead to the new place ahead of them to open things up and also took a load over in my utility trailer.

The movers finally arrived and my wife told me they had left a bunch of things at the old house. They said they didn't have room on the truck. I noticed when they arrived there HAD been room on the truck, but the fact that they did not take everything ultimately meant we would be making a total of 8 trips back to the old house (45 minutes each way from new home), over the course of the next week. It turns out they were leaving things because they didn't have enough blankets. They were going to leave our large flat screen TV and my wife overheard them saying they didn't have any more blankets. My wife offered some of our blankets. Kind of ridiculous. One would think they would bring enough blankets with them.

I was a bit dumbfounded at the lack of organization on their part. I had every box marked as to where it was supposed to go and pointed out the corresponding rooms for them. Most of the boxes were to go in our garage/shop. In spite of that, numerous items were put in the wrong place. On several occasions, one guy could be seen carrying an exercise ball or something small. I was wondering if the job would ever be done. They broke a knob off our dryer - the one that emits the buzzer sound when the dryer is done. They said they would fix that and noted it but we never had any follow up with the company. They never called.

The amount of times we had to go back to our house with our utility trailer was very frustrating because of all the items they said would not fit into their truck. You're trying to get your new home set up but you still have to deal with the old house. I hadn't really kept track of payments, though I normally check out account every day. Two months later, I see a charge from Two Men And a Truck for $800. I was under the impression that they had charged me what I owed ($1120 total). But then I see this charge and immediately assumed it was a additional charge over the $1120. I did some checking and realized they had never charged me the $800; just the initial $320.

They did wrap up items and tried their best to pack and move our grandfather clock without damaging it. Unfortunately, once the clock was set up at the new house, it didn't work. That required a service call to the tune of $225 to get it working, although the clock guy told me it is very common for this to happen and I would have been better off contacting them to pack it prior to moving. Hindsight. Overall, I was not satisfied. These guys did not strike me as professional movers. They struck me as three guys who simply work for a moving company and didn't mind picking up and moving heavy items from one place to another. I seriously doubt if I'd use Two Men And a Truck again, but then again, I looked into several companies and they didn't have good reviews either. What is a consumer to do?

They were supposed to box/pack my house for me and move my items to another state. A manager came to my home weeks in advance to assess my items and what would be needed for packing and the move. The movers showed on packing/move day with no cushion/bubble wrap and none of the hanging clothes boxes I requested. They did not allot enough time to pack my house and as such they literally threw and crushed my things into boxes. Worried that they wouldn't get finished and concerned for how they were packing, I ended up packing my entire kitchen with a friend while they packed other rooms instead of being able to pay attention to how they were packing and loading.

There seemed to be no order to how they packed the truck. I've moved with professional movers 4 times in the last 5 years so I've seen exceptional packing and this was as far from it as you can get. I had the driver actually tell me that he was going to have to leave my things behind because there wasn't room on the truck - the same truck size that moved my exact same items 8 months earlier (and had extra space at the back end). I pushed back and said we weren't leaving my things behind and the driver then seemed bothered and began haphazardly throwing my additional items in the truck. Of course a number of things unnecessarily got broken even after I requested that they be treated with extra care.

At my new home, the unloading of unique/heavy items was embarrassing for a moving company. Since replacing the broken items, I have had to repeatedly contact the Baton Rouge office to try to get reimbursed for the damages despite that I also bought extra insurance through them for the move. This office is not doing any favors for the Two Men and a Truck brand, with which I have had previously positive experiences moving with their Birmingham office. What a complete failure. I cannot recommend this company. Moving is already stressful enough without having to add all of this extra hassle. Do yourself and favor and pack your valuables yourself and use another company to move your things.

The representative who came to give us a quote was very pleasant. However, the information she provided as to the services offered was totally incorrect in so many ways. Two Men and Truck do NOT package anything for you (she said they did). They will wrap large items but NOTHING is packaged. My husband and I carefully packaged everything with bubble wrap in sturdy boxes. Had we not done this we would've had to do it the day of the move.

Firstly they arrived not at the appointed time but an hour and a half late. Items marked as fragile and clearly marked were thrown into the truck. Arrows on boxes pointing "this way up" were ignored totally. Fragile items were packed underneath heavier items. It seemed their only goal was to load as fast as possible and unload even faster to the point they were actually running to grab another box or boxes. Once everything was loaded the agreement was that they would deliver on the day following our move, in this case the 2nd of August at 9 a.m. Imagine our surprise when they arrived at nearly 9 p.m. on the 1st of August. We, ourselves had just driven almost 10 hours to get to our new home and were appalled to see them coming down the road.

The two workers told us that their boss had told them to offload the partial load and then come back the next morning to offload the rest. We refused to have them do this as both of us were tired from the drive ourselves and we advised them that the agreement had been to offload on the 2nd at 9 a.m. The next day they arrived at 9:30 a.m. and started offloading. All the clearly marked boxes with rooms to be toted to were ignored. We found fragile stuff under heavy boxes. In offloading the washer and dryer they put a huge gouge into the brand new hardwood floor which we only found later that day. On unpacking some "clearly marked" fragile antique dishes which are over 150 years old we found several broken because of the way they were handled. These dishes are irreplaceable and in my husband's eyes priceless as they are family heirlooms.

This is unacceptable but obviously the company will claim that we didn't pack them well enough. The service offered by this company is expensive as they offer a dedicated move but it's honestly not worth it. We could've saved ourselves $5000 (for less than a 2 bedroom home) by doing this ourselves and probably not had any damage. We're just writing this as a warning to other consumers who might be tempted to use this company.

This company is getting worse and worse. It is hit and miss depending upon the location and crew. The crew we had was overtired from an earlier move and shouldn't have even been selected to do another job that day. They were sloppy, dirty, whiny, and not careful with our things. The men were hours late, didn't have all the moving equipment that they should have, arrived with dead cell phones, and took a ridiculous amount of time for a job that was not that big or out of the norm. We had to help them move our things. One crew member said that they needed more men to finish, and that he was going to call his boss for help, but that his boss was lazy and at home with his family, and wouldn't come out anyway.

Since the crew members' phones were dead and they never asked if they could use our phones, we settled with our ailing crew for hours. They took chunks out of our ceiling, walls, cut a corner of the wall open. Our home and furniture was damaged and we were really upset. We bought them dinner, gave them things to cool them off, even made an Epsom salt compress for a crew member who had a leg cramp. We were kind, helpful, understanding, and did what we could to help them. This company sent 2 men who were too tired and weak who made poor decisions in getting our things into our home, which caused a lot of damage to our things and the walls (both inside and outside). This job went until 10 pm... Then they knock on our door again saying that their truck broke down and they needed to borrow our phone.

Right after that, one of the guys decided that he was going to go to the hospital because his leg cramp was bothering him. It was a nightmare. We should've gotten two able-bodied energetic careful men and a functional truck, instead we got two weak overtired careless men and a dead truck. We were made to feel guilty by the company for their mistakes and carelessness due to the crew member going to the hospital after the job ended... It was the worst moving experience ever. After we called many times, the company came to our place to assess the damage to the ceiling, walls, and our things and said they'd send someone to repair things. Crickets after that. We were not contacted again. They lied to us.

Weeks later, we call again and tell them we'd just settle for $200 to cover getting someone else to repair the damage (after all, this is the tip that was given to the two crew members, that they shouldn't have even gotten... This doesn't include the drinks and dinner we provided, and us having to be a third and fourth crew member). We are still waiting for that check that the manager said was approved and will be mailed to us. We are going to contact the corporate office ourselves, as we realize they lied yet again. Dallas Two Men and a Truck was the worst I've ever used for what should've been a straight forward job. Incompetent, dishonest, and lazy. We will never use or recommend them again.

We had a great move the first time, but the second move was beyond horrible. First they gave us the wrong quote even with an onsite inspection. Then they did not show on day scheduled. Luckily we had email proof and were scheduled 2 days later. The crew shows up. We have water and Gatorade for them. Buy them lunch. Supposed to be a 2 day job, they do it in one day only after I have to nag them to do garage as well. They leave 2 guys back to unpack and rest of us tackle garage. Meanwhile my wife has passed out from exhaustion and I did not know the full extent of reworked contract. I was more worried about my wife than job and thought they were done... wrong... tipped each guy 100 dollars a piece.

Well it's been almost 2 weeks going back and forth with company. Every day we are finding broken items or items just thrown in a box. We are still going through boxes that were mislabeled and finding more broken items. Jewelry box was opened and items missing. Cables missing. I have a 2000 dollar computer that I can't use because I can't find any keyboard or mouse... etc. I check storage shed and stuff thrown in there. Still trying to get to lawn mower.

Trust me this is only the tip of the story. So we contact 2 Men and they are willing to send guys over at a discount to fix! This was supposed to be a 2 day job. Pack and deliver then unpack but the guys did want to come back on a Saturday. No problem, they will not get our business again and we are calling off the offer to fix at discounted price.

Hired Two Men And a Truck for a local move within the Salt Lake City area. I decided to go with them because they are a known name and I was told their workers are given background checks. The morning of the move things seemed to be going well, they did care for my property. Towards the end I was asked to sign some papers by the driver, I signed, no issue. The driver then made me an offer. If I paid him in cash he would give me a discount and cap the number of hours I was being charged. If he doesn't complete the work on time that would be on him and his partner but they would still pay the main office. I thought the office did know they were here doing a job so there was no way to scam them so I agreed to the terms.

They moved my items to the new location, the only issue with the actual move was they forgot two items. No big deal, they were small so I took them myself. They also bent an old lamp and honestly I had no issue with that as well. Overall they did well so my wife gave the driver a generous tip. He hung around a while and I came out looking for him to pay him his cash. I thought I made out well receiving a decent discount. Days later I found out they charged my wife's credit card which they had on file when she booked the move. That is when it dawned on me that I did not collect a receipt for the cash transaction. A big mistake on my part!

We started the complaint process with the office. After several phone calls over a couple of weeks I was told the general manager was going to take action and would get back to me with the resolution. That was the last I heard from them. I was cheated out of hundreds of dollars. This dishonesty on their part is the reason they get a half a star from me. If I can't trust them when making payments I should not trust them with my property. It's very unfortunate that the office would not do anything either despite the serious nature of their workers' actions. Instead they tried accusing my wife and I of not telling the truth and having inconsistent stories. I am now considering my legal options but will never use this company again and will discourage my friends and peers from using them.

This problem is with the Two Men and a Truck in Fort Wayne Indiana. The manager came to our old house and did the cost estimate for $750 to move our furniture one mile to a house we had just purchased. They showed up on time as promised with three guys who started going to work right away. When they were about halfway done the team leader said that the job was taking longer than they had expected and the cost would be $1,200 to finish plus that paid for the third guy.

I told them to unload the truck and forget it because their manager gave me the price and saw everything that needed to be moved and the agreed amount was $750, and nothing was said whether one guy, two guys, three guys or a whole army of guys was coming would alter the rate. So after about an hour going back and forth on the phone with the manager who estimated the price, and my wife just wanted it done (otherwise I would have said to unload it all back into the old house), we agreed on $950. I only had one piece of furniture that was very slightly damaged, nothing worth getting upset over.

I will never do business with these people again. The manager had been doing estimates for over 10 years, he knew exactly what we needed moved and exactly what it would cost, and nothing was ever mentioned that there was an extra charge for the third man or else I would have said no. This was a very dishonest way to do business. The only reason I gave them one star was because I can't give them zero stars or else I would have! I guess one star was worth them being on time.

I struggled over doing this review because I can't find the receipt which means this review cannot be listed as from a verified buyer. Which if this is the same thing as a problem I had with La-Z-Boy purchase where I had the receipt and after entering the number of the receipt I was told a representative from La-Z-Boy would contact me... they never did, so I doubt anything would be done about Two Men and a Truck anyways. Regarding Two Men and A Truck. It is my opinion DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY is poor in their service and care in moving customers property. Moved from a 3700 sq ft home, lots of furniture. Most furniture damaged in various degrees and have not corrected much of their damage using a 92 hr damage claim policy. Well they were contacted within the policy time frame, however since the garage was packed with furniture and items from the move, all damage could not be reported. Representatives from the company stated that was not their problem. As they were leaving one of the representatives uttered something under his breath. When asked by my husband asked what he had said, he turned around while in our yard, started to approach my husband and acted as if he wanted to start a fight and this individual was supposedly a manager of the company. They also became argumentative in our home and were told to leave the property. AGAIN THIS IS MY OPINION OF THE COMPANY AND WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE A BAD COMPANY.

They destroyed our furniture. I had a very valuable Victorian furniture room valued at around $5000.00 for the couch alone and they destroyed it. One of their comments was there was not enough oil on the furniture when it was oiled every two week. They also stated the weather had a lot to do with it, but when informed that it had always been in a home, never in the weather and oiled twice weekly he would not make any additional comment about the condition of the furniture. I was devastated because this is the showplace room of my home and it can not be replaced. I would have been better to have it placed in the city dump than have it in the condition it is in now. Representatives began to laugh while I was crying about the damage done and said "not our problem". Again they damaged 50% of our furniture and constantly stated "not our problem"!!

I timed the entire event from the moment the truck pulled up to the moment I was asked if they were done and my response clearly indicated they had finished the job. They took apart my kitchen table and took 20 minutes putting it back together with a multi tool; probably best left in your tackle box. Not being able to put my $900 table back together is not what I had in mind. Most of the time when I saw the workers, they weren't engaging in work. I could have carried everything myself in twice the time, but then I wouldn't have had to worry about damage to walls and the poor experience. Showed up early and were polite. Everything is good so far. I walk the driver around, showing them what needs to be moved. Part of the load is in a barn so I show him the gravel road to be used so that he will not get stuck. I stress to him that it has been raining and that he must stay on the road. 15 minutes later, a knock at my door. Driver says "I have bad news." He explains that he felt like he needed to drive into the field to turn around because he thought the ground was too soft. Of course he got stuck immediately after leaving the road. (If I could include pictures here I would put one of his truck sunk up to the frame at the drivers front tire.) Approx. 2 hours later, the tow truck is gone and the mover doesn't want to drive back to the barn on the road now. He decides to carry the stuff 200 feet to his truck. (This adds time that they suddenly want to charge me for.) Whatever, I agree just to keep things moving.

Later that afternoon around 5 PM they finish up loading their truck. I explain to him that my wife and my son will lead them in her truck to the drop off location so it will be easier to find. Everyone agrees. Driver ask if my wife minds if they stop at the gas station store on the way so they can get a bite to eat. "No Problem." She has to get gas anyway. My wife pulls into the station and starts filling her truck. Movers parked in the parking lot of the station. My wife finishes getting gas and looks for the truck. It is nowhere to be seen now. Apparently, they were having mechanical problems and decided to just go back to their home location and swap trucks. They didn't have my wife's cell number so they didn't bother to get out of the truck and walk over and tell her where they were going.

Fast forward to somewhere late in the evening between 9-11 PM. My cell phone rings and it is the driver saying he is having trouble finding the road to my place. We explain over the phone until he finds the road. This takes about 20 minutes. I gave him exact directions. (Drive down road until you come to a "Y". Take the road to the RIGHT.) Guess what... my phone rings again about 20 minutes later. He starts explaining the house to me that is down the LEFT road. Now he has to back out down the road. He notices the right turn he should have taken but tells me he has decided to back up the extra 1/3 of a mile and just start over. (Ugh... I'm still on the phone trying to get this guy where he needs to be.)

He finally, after a bit of arguing, makes it to the metal building they are suppose to put my shop tools inside. INSTEAD... these idiots set $30,000 dollars worth of shop and wood working tools OUTSIDE in the weather because who doesn't think that is a good idea. Not only that, they decide that it is not even important enough to call me and tell me they didn't put this stuff in the building even though they managed to call me about every other idiotic thing they could think of. They didn't just stack it either, they piled it in a pile out in the weather. Again, I would post pictures of this if possible.

Now, after talking it over with the local and corporate offices, they have decided that their best course of action is to refuse to do anything at all. I would give them negative stars if possible. USE THESE IRRESPONSIBLE IDIOTS AT YOUR OWN RISK! Better yet, save the time and money and just throw your stuff out in the yard.

We hired Two Men and a Truck for packing, moving and unpacking service. Someone came to our house to review everything that needed to be moved and to provide an estimate. On the move day we find out that they screwed up on dates (instead of packing Friday and moving Saturday, they had it for packing Saturday and moving Sunday). After this mishap... movers came on Saturday and were surprised that we needed wardrobe boxes, dish pack etc... Even though all of that was included in estimate. They also kept telling us the items they would not move or that they can't guarantee that it won't break during transport.

The movers spent about 2.5 hours on Saturday packing and said rest will be packed on Sunday when they bring the wardrobe boxes and dish packs and that it would take about 1.5 hour on Sunday. They show up on Sunday with just thicker boxes (not the wardrobe boxes with things to hang etc), didn't bring dish rack boxes. It took them over 5 hours to pack everything (a lot of time wasted as significant amount of those things could have been packed on Saturday). When they unloaded items at the new place, everything was done in a rush and extremely carelessly. They dented our brand new wall in the house, they ruined our bed, scuffed up both our dressers. They put the beds together and unwrapped the sofa. That's it and off they went. They didn't unpack anything else even though unpacking was included in the quote.

The nightmare began when we started to unpack boxes. Kitchen items were just thrown in boxes with no wrapping. The food items were mixed with cleaning supplies. Nothing was taped so half the food spilled in the boxes. Several of our glasses were broken. Some of the items were dinged and chipped since nothing was wrapped. Clothes were just shoved in boxes along with all the dirty items. Every single box was packed with no care or regard for our items. As the movers moved items in the house... they didn't bother covering the floors or wearing any protective things over their shoes and thus ruining all of our floors. The list can go on and on about extreme carelessness with this move.

Overall, it will take us weeks, cost us money in getting all of our clothes dry cleaned and laundered, cost us money in hiring a maid to clean the house top down again and get the walls fixed. I would highly dissuade anyone from considering them for their next move. Pay a little etc and go with another larger reputable service for the move.

On the day of the move, they came out and filled their truck with about half my stuff and said I would have to pay the same amount to move the rest. So it would have cost double what they quoted me. Moving from 4br 2 story home into single story 3 br home, 1 interim stop. Was quoted 7 to 8 hours move total at 110 an hour plus 120 travel charge. I was prepared for this timeframe and budget. Explained in detail OVER THE PHONE to the agent details of move, all bedroom furniture would be broken down and in the garage ready for pick up. This was 2 queen bed sets, with rails and headboard, 2 dressers 1 side table and 1 nightstand.

The only furniture that needed to be brought down was the KING size bedroom set from upstairs, the bed, night stands x2, chest of drawers, and dresser and mirror. When the movers arrived they appeared confused, my in-laws were there to let them in. I went over in detail with the original estimator on the phone at the time of my booking, so I don't understand how they did not know where to start. I had to leave work to go and show the movers what needed to be moved even though the company says they had a total of 38 items. I do not know why the movers had no idea where to start.

I will now detail the experience. After I came home, apparently it took them an hour or more to negotiate how to get the 3 pc sectional out the door (we got it in ourselves in under 20 minutes so I figured so called professionals could get it out certainly in less than an hour) more details on the sectional when it arrived on the other end. Huge waste of time #1 for an hourly job. NOW... the bedroom furniture. I was told to leave drawers in the dressers and they would wrap them. Well I did and they got the dresser stuck in the top of the stairs and had to go back and UNWRAP the drawers and carry them separately (I don't know how they thought they would get the entire dresser down that way anyway) so this was ANOTHER waste of time from trying to hurry up and not do the things the right way.

THEN the refrigerator, they wrapped it too, leaving the door handles on... well it would not fit outdoor either so then AGAIN another UNWRAPPING JOB to remove the handles. BELIEVE me they were in no hurry... UNTIL we finally got on the road at approximately 7 or 8ish... So this was already 5 hours and they 2 men complained and made so many excuses about EVERYTHING saying this was too hard this was not going to work... blah blah blah... They kept going on how the job was UNDERBID and there was not enough room on the truck, and then there was no way they were going to make it to the 2nd stop to pick up my dining room table because he could not drive after so many hours.

They were ready to give up on the sectional getting it into the new house, they INSISTED it would not fit. FORTUNATELY I was able to have a friend in the area who was bringing tools over to reassemble the bedroom furniture because the drivers/movers apparently broke theirs during the load up. So it took my husband and friend 15 minutes to get a plan to get the couch in and it was in shortly after their help. While my husband and friend took on the responsibility of assembling the furniture (a job that Two Men and A Truck were supposed to do.).

I am not sure what the actual workers I was paying for were doing, I think they brought in 2 chairs and a love seat and just Sat them in the middle of the room. So at the end of the day, they reassembled 1 sectional by screwing the legs back on, none of my other bedroom furniture was placed in the house just stacked in the garage. I have never heard people complain so much about their job and how this and that won't fit or work. I have contacted the corporate office and they say that any adjustments area made at a franchise level. I chose this company because I heard that they supported the American Cancer Society and the owner was a woman who started the company. NOW I learn it's a franchise. In the end, I know I owe for the work that was done and offered to pay 1/2 since I feel like 1/2 was done.

They offered to take 200 off of an 1100 bill. I declined, they threatened me and said they will be running my card today, I called my bank, canceled the cards out of this fear, and I told the rep Brenda and the person at the corporate that I would be canceling the cards until a reasonable settlement can be made. Then I was given the ultimatum pay with the discount they offered of 200 today or they will send my whole bill to collections. That was the last I could take. I am going to contact our legal service and see what they have to say. I think I may be able to sue them for pain and suffering. LOL:) NO I just want what is fair... 1/2 pay for 1/2 of service.

When I initially contacted Two Men and a Truck I gave a description of the items we needed to move, the details of the apartment we were moving from, and the details of the apartment we were moving into. I also mentioned that the move window that was given to us by building management at the new residence would be from 2-5 pm on Wednesday September 7th 2016. We agreed to an arrival window of 11 am-1 pm at our old residence in order to have ample time to get our items loaded and transported to the new residence before the 5 pm deadline.

I was emailed an initial quote that estimated a 5 hour move time at an hourly rate of $134. I contacted Two Men and a Truck customer service and voiced my concern over the 5 hour move time quoted, as I believed that 5 hours would not be necessary based on the fact that we would be pre packing all of our items (excluding our large items: bed frame, TVs, large shelving units etc.) I was assured that this was just an estimated time, and that we would only be charged for the total number of hours on the day of the move.

On September 7th 2016 the movers arrived at approximately 11:45 am. After going over a few documents, the moving crew started to compile our boxes and set them out into the hallway in order to load them into the elevator and out to the truck. The crew consisted of 3 guys, one who seemed to be a supervisor. The supervisor seemed to do the least amount of work, and was mostly on his phone during the load out of our items.

As the first hour and a half went by I started to get worried with the pace the crew was working at. We only had about 20 pre packed large boxes, 1 bed frame that needed to be disassembled, 2 Flat panel TVs, 1 Larger Projector TV, 2 shelving pieces, 2 tables, a desk, and 2 night stands that needed to be loaded into the truck. At times during the move there were long gaps that no items were being moved out of the apartment. We also witnessed the crew taking breaks in between the move and captured video footage. I raised my concern over the amount of time it was taking with the supervisor at around 230, as our load in time at the new residence was starting to dwindle. After raising my concern, the crew picked up the pace and we finally left the old residence at approximately 3:10 pm.

When we arrived at the new residence (approx. 3:30pm) building management reiterated that we needed to get all our items moved into the new apartment by 5 pm, or the remaining items would be left on the truck and a new move in date would have to be set. Upon hearing the news from the building manager 1 of the crew members started to sulk, and complain that the load in elevator was too far. At that time my boyfriend, who luckily also had a friend of his that met us at the new residence, instructed the crew to transport all the items to the hallway near the elevators and he and his friend would load up the elevator and bring the items into the apartment.

The process continued for the next hour and twenty five minutes. The moving crew would roll the items to the hallway, and my boyfriend and his friend would fill the elevator and then also carry the items into the apartment. As my boyfriend and his friend were still moving items into the new apartment, I called the company and asked to speak to a supervisor, and was transferred to multiple people. Luckily someone did call me back when the crew was still at the new residence.

At 4:55 all the items had been moved into the apartment. If it were not for my boyfriend and his friend, we would have never completed the move. I was told that they would be reviewing the information and I would be getting a call back from their supervisor by Friday, September 9th. I gave them a chance to call me. I called Two Men and a Truck on Monday, September 12th, and asked to speak to a supervisor, as I had not received a call back. I was once again transferred to multiple people, and when I finally got through to a manager he told me that he would be calling me back by 5 pm the next day. I specifically expressed my frustration and explained that I would be filing a dispute if I did not receive that phone call and he said, Okay. I did not receive a call on Tuesday so I filed a dispute on Wednesday morning.

Once all the items were in the apartment we inspected them and noticed a tear on two sides of our box spring, as well as some damage to our bed frame. We pointed out the damage to one of the three men, who was a supervisor, and he noted the damage on his paperwork. He also informed us that we would be getting a call from whoever is in charge, to be credited for the damage. Then, he asked me to sign and I explained to him that I had been communicating back and forth with Two Men and A Truck and since I was not happy with the move I did not want to sign just yet. He assured me that this is protocol to sign the paperwork and that I had to sign in order for them to leave.

Two Men and A Truck did not fulfill their duty to get our move completed within the time frame we requested. Two Men and A Truck have failed on multiple fronts, as well as making a false claim that our old residence was a walk up unit on the 3rd floor. There was an elevator that was specifically blocked for the load out. Judging by the initial estimated time that was quoted, it seems that they purposely delayed the move in order to rack up the hourly charges. On top of the negligence displayed by the moving crew, Two Men and A Truck also failed to remedy the damage that was caused on the day of the move. Their management team did not respond to our damage request, and until this day never contacted us to credit us for our damages.

In our initial request to dispute the charges, we were asked to receive multiple quotes from moving companies with the same parameters. Every company we contacted quoted a lower hourly rate, and a shorter estimated time for the overall move. It is my feeling that Two Men and A Truck were out to drive up costs, with no regard for services rendered. Please let me know if supplemental information is required. I have videos to support the claims that have been made.

We hired Two Men And a Truck to move exactly 10 miles. We personally moved all boxes and all light weight furniture. We were downsizing so the furniture they had to move was minimal, but it did include my Ethan Allen farmhouse table. The surface of the table looks as though someone took the claw of a hammer and ran it across the table. I called the corporate office and got their "customer service" lady who said she would look into it. Two weeks later I received a call from a guy who fixes scratched furniture.

He came to our home, put his spit on the table and admitted he could only fix the scratches, not the gouges. He told me to contact the local office. I called them and they said they would get some estimates to refinish the table. Two weeks later, they called and said it was too expensive and told me they would fix the scratches, not the gouges. I called the corporate office again and spoke with "customer service" and they told me they would look into it. Three weeks later, I still have a ruined table and nothing has been resolved!

I informed the office of this task prior to the move, and I was ensured the company's personnel will be able to accomplish this major task. To my surprise, the personnel were NOT able to take down the bed which led to a friend taking down the bed. I expected a company of this magnitude to have proper training and proper equipment to carry-out a small move. My friend taking down the bed led to movers doing less work for higher price for boxes, 1 TV, and 1 bedroom set. I chose the WRONG MOVING COMPANY.

Having contacted Two Men And a Truck to move us out of our home in Birmingham, we found nothing but incompetence. Our goal was to move the belongings out of our home and delivered to 2 addresses, not more than 2 miles apart - one address in Birmingham and the other in Troy, near Birmingham. When the movers arrived, the work order only had the Birmingham address on it and no mention of the 2nd delivery to Troy. I called Two Men And a Truck and inquired how this could have been messed up. Of course I was angry but civil. To my amazement, the woman I spoke with, Mary, in operations for the Troy location, informed me that nothing could be done to correct this. I explained that we were due to vacate the property by the following Friday, 2 days away. With her smarmy, condescending attitude, she was uncooperative at the least. I became more angry.

Meantime, the movers are moving all the stuff destined for the Birmingham move and were nearly 75% done with that aspect of the contract. Mary claimed that I was "threatening," and that she "didn't have time for that." In a fit of pique, she canceled not only the Troy move but the Birmingham move as well, prompting the 2 movers to bring EVERYTHING they had packed back into the house and dump it all in the living room. Dozens of boxes and furniture. We couldn't even get through the living room. Mary informed me to "Have a nice day, and get a new moving company." We did. Horrible service. I cannot say enough bad things about this company. The movers were SLOW. Moving a two bedroom house took nine hours! Total between destinations 2.5 miles. Even then, the destination was a storage unit - easy access, right? ALL of my furniture is damaged. Antique bed - footboard has one plank completely busted out of the frame. Full length antique mirror? Pedestal stand - wooden - snapped off and pieces are nowhere to be found. Antique secretary - gouges. Other furniture? Wood chunked off of picture frames, scratches, marring. Every piece.

They did not wrap the furniture before they put it into the truck, and when they delivered it to storage it was furniture on top of boxes on top of furniture. It literally looked like an episode of hoarders. I had to rent an additional unit to accommodate the lack of organization. There were boxes marked fragile and glass and breakable - put on the bottom of towers of items. DO NOT HIRE THESE MOVERS! I tried for two weeks to work out a resolution and they are simply not interested. Bad news. Horrible experience.

I lived in Tucson, AZ and had used Two Men And a Truck in Florida and AZ for local moves. In Tucson when I decided to move back to Florida, they stated they made interstate moves so I got an estimate and agreed on them. Instead they rented a Penske truck, did not shrink-wrap, box or cover expensive items like lamps, vases, etc. They also towed my car on a flatbed truck and somehow when taking it off the flatbed, put 7 miles on it when it was supposedly on a side street to my condo.

A $650.00 vase was smashed, and two other expensive pottery pieces were smashed. 1 floor lamp broken as well as two shades not boxed dirty with grease. My box springs and mattress had grease and dirty marks all over it with no covering or box which I asked for. A VCR, two teddy bears, several pieces of accessories were missing, my dining rattan chairs (all four damaged), door pulls broken on an armoire, metal TV stand broken and they threw it back into the truck. They left my iron, broom, mops, buckets and shower rod back at the apt in Tucson which were thrown out. My four poster black metal bed was marred and scratched down to the metal as well as a black bench. Even a plaque of The Lord's Prayer was missing or stolen.

I paid to pack and unpack and the guys would not take the boxes away and unpack and set up things where they said they would. They put all of the dishes wrapped in paper in the kitchen cabinets. I took photos of everything and called and asked for damage forms and the manager in Tucson said that someone would call me in a week or two. I will not hold my breath. The bill went to $1200. After all we hired this moving company based on reviews and a recommendation from one person. I have moved from 5 houses in my lifetime and always used well-known movers - North American, Allied. First of all the quote without looking at my actual residence was a little over 700 for 3 1/2 hours - 3 men.

They damaged my triple dresser. That is an antique. Put 3 gauges in the top of it, as well as putting their tools on top of it and not protecting it. They damaged my rocking chair which I had not noticed until the other day, all the spines of the back of the chair had popped out - I eventually found out how to fix it. They forgot to attach the back of my daybed and left with the screws to it, this was fixed by a man named Raymond as said and done. So much for moving 5 min. from my previous residence. They were in such a hurry to leave that they left their huge tool box on the top of my antique dresser that they damaged. They have contacted me to arrange to fix the dresser damage. Also made dents in the newly painted walls in my new place. I would never use them again or recommend to anyone. Not a good experience with this company at all.

We selected mover by our realtor's recommendation after receiving estimates from multiple movers. All other movers recommended minimum of 4 movers for the job since the home was 3800 sq feet. This mover provider estimate of 6-8 hours with 3 movers which included a stop at a storage unit. Early in the move, there was 1 mover wrapping furniture while 2 other movers were moving furniture to truck. This model initially worked early in the day when the assistant manager stopped by. He asked the veteran mover (wrapping furniture) if they thought the job could be done over next couple of hours and he said yes. The assistant manager walked around the house to see what was left to move around noon. After several more hours, they disclosed they would not be able to put all of the furniture in the truck and would need to stop by the storage unit 1st.

The assistant manager called back at this time to ask how it was going. We were at the 7 hour mark, and movers said this wouldn't take long. So I did not voice a concern at this time. However, unloading at the storage unit took over an hour and the movers had packed furniture further back in the truck requiring more time moving furniture around to get all items out. The movers were getting noticeably fatigued and required longer rest periods since it was primarily the same 2 movers making all of the lifts with the 3rd mover acting more as a supervisor and director of where to load and unload items. So we were paying for 3 movers, but were only receiving moving from 2 most of the time. Once we got back to the house to finish the furniture load, they then tell me they will need to remove front door to move refrigerator adding more time, but understandably.

The 2 lifting movers were winded, but still responsible for going upstairs to carry more furniture down. They started having more issues with running into walls and bringing furniture down and out of the house. Finally we left and I ended up moving items like rugs and pictures since it was now at the 9 hour mark. We got to the home for unloading and the 2 primary lifting movers were so fatigued they had difficulty lifting the items to bring into the 1 story house. I ended up assisting with a few lifts as their grips were giving out. Being so fatigued by being understaffed for the job prolonged the loading and unloading of the furniture. Extending the time to 11 3/4 hours for 2 movers with a 3rd assisting from time to time. However, by leaving only 2 primary workers, this caused a longer extension of billable time by the company instead of originally staffing with an adequate number causing the job to go an extra 3.75 hours.

I called to complain about this to the company and spoke with assistant manager and he stated he would have the manager call me on Friday August 12th. After not receiving a callback, I contacted the corporate office on Wednesday August 17, they indicated they would have manager call within 2 business days, but I have not received any further communication.

Movers went twice to old residence, getting to the new one at 09:45pm and exhausted. I asked for them to continue next day as they were (all 3 men in agreement) too tired to continue. We had to sleep on the floor as no furniture was delivered due to poor timing management. When I asked for a refund of the 3 hours that they went over, it was denied. After several weeks, Two Men And A Truck mailed me a check for the replacement cost of my stainless steel fridge door. It doesn't make amends for the insane hassle, but at least its something.

    Original Review: Aug. 6, 2016

We moved with Suwanee, GA's Two Men and Truck in May 2016. The company sent three guys for what we told them over the phone (and they agreed) was a large three story move. The guys show up on time, and things are going great. They are taking longer than expected, but there are only three. Toward the end of move out, they run out of wrapping supplies, leaving them unable to wrap the one piece we told them was most important to us. They also bang this piece against a wall. They loaf my $3K French door fridge last unwrapped. At the new house, three miles down the road, I can tell the guys are getting tired. Mistakes are happening... pieces being dragged, dents in hardwood flooring, a broken office piece, and a decision made to NOT move an existing fridge to install mine b/c it was a "liability" to move the existing piece. Instead they put my expensive fridge in the garage where I now notice a giant dent in the front door.

The move takes nearly 12 hours. I begin calling the local office immediately the next day. Since we paid for the insurance, getting the dent fixed won't be a problem, right? WRONG. I end up having to harass these people for about six weeks to get anyone's attention. Promises to return calls and follow up never happen. Claim is filed with the Marietta office incorrectly. They intend to order part and install when it comes in... it goes on and on and on... Finally after six weeks of this crap, a rep calls me and says "He doesn't wanna be caught in the middle anymore, so we are just gonna mail you a check for the damage." "THE MOVERS WHO CARE"... GIVE ME A BREAK!!!

In the end it took them 13 hrs & they broke & damaged several pieces of furniture, which included a tv, refrigerator, washer & dryer.

They also broke a pane of decorative glass that was in a China cabinet & they put a hole in a closet door. The pane of glass that was broken can't be recreated & there are 9 panes so in order to fix we have to try & get all 9 replaced with something different at a cost of upwards of $1,500-2,500. In addition, they had to take off refrigerator doors & connect water line to the refrigerator & they didn't know how. We have a Tempur-pedic adjustable bed & they didn't know how to put it together. One of the guys got mad & walked out & never came back in to finish. They also charged me a deposit before the move & then never credited me for it until I complained to them about 3 times. We had to have our son come the next day & put the refrigerator back together again. They didn't know how to connect the washer.

We moved on May 28th & I've probably called them at least 4 times & emailed 3 or 4 times. It is July 6 & I was told today that they would send us a check for $425. In the end, they charged us almost $2,300 which is twice as much as we were quoted. It's not our fault that they sent such inexperienced people to move us and for them not to even do more for us is terrible. Their business slogan is the movers that care. They obviously don't!

Warning! Do not use this company. We hired the one out of St. Louis area. Basically, what this company is, they hire 18-23 year olds for a summer job. No training, no supervision, nothing. They send them over and it's up to you to be their "supervisor". There is a kid with a clipboard, but that's as close to supervising as you will get. So, these guys basically stand around looking at each other hoping the other one will do the work. They pick up your stuff and ask you what it is. Once I went to the basement and they were all standing around doing nothing, and they got scared and perked up, and started making up things that they were doing as if they were really working the whole time.

One guy picked up a car antenna and asked me what it was for. My ammunition box was opened, they looked in it. Not sure what else they went through??? I couldn't find them half the time. They tell you they won't pick up certain things. After an hour or two you realize that your house is not actually changed, they aren't doing anything. So, we know the new owners of the house will be showing up. So we ended up doing 35% of the work ourselves. My wife and I frantically ran around the house trying to pack things and get out of the house. Several times we were told we would have to disassemble items or they wouldn't fit out the door. Minutes later my dad and I would carry the thing out the door just fine, no dis-assembly. All we could figure is that they were either really stupid or really lazy. Probably both.

We told the "movers" we need everything out of the house, but once their small truck was filled up, they left us with many items in the house. Again, we had to frantically move out the remaining tables, chairs items that they did not get as they got in their truck and left for break. Half of our household items wouldn't fit in their truck so they left them out in the yard of our old home for several hours while they went to lunch and made a trip to our new house. When these "movers' arrived to our new house, they had trouble figuring out which door to go into. They told us that none of the doors would work to bring furniture in and left it at that. My wife and I called Two Men and Truck to complain and send out a supervisor as the young kids that were "moving" us sat around confused.

At the end of the day they just emptied our stuff into the driveway and garage and left. We had to move the boxes and everything into our new house. Every box, everything was just dropped in a mess. Rotten stinking company, NEVER USE Them, the DO NOT CARE AT ALL. The pictures provided are items they did NOT carry out of the house or stuff they left in the yard that we had to carry. They simply did not take them at all. We had to do it ourselves.

DO NOT USE!!! Horrendous, awful, terrible, steer clear!!! These movers are the worst! They were supposed to be at my building at 3:00 today. I reserved the elevator from 3-6 PM. It is 8:30 and they still aren't here. I called the offices and the crew that was supposed to be here were unreachable after multiple calls. I have to be out of my apartment today as the landlord has rented it for tomorrow and the elevators in my building are already reserved. After several hours they found another crew that are on their way. Apparently they are now sending two people although I contracted for 3 people. If you want to have an incredibly stressful move then Use Two Men and a Truck. If you want to have an efficient move with a competent company, avoid them at all costs. I would give them ZERO stars if that was an option.

I contacted 2 Men and a Truck for a simple move. All furniture, and large items. Very little boxes. Estimated quote for office (book shelf, pie safe, desk, chair), kitchen (table and 4 chairs), family room (sofa, chair, table), kids bedroom (bunk bed, dresser, 2 mattresses), master bedroom (bed, two end tables, small blanket chest, two upright dressers) washer and dryer, treadmill, and basement and garage. Estimated hours, 8.5. I staged the entire house so all they had to do was wrap and load.

When the movers showed up, they were a man down, and immediately started telling me that it was going to take longer. At most, what they had to actually do should have been a 5 hour job. They proceeded to lock in to the slowest speed possible. They managed to move only 23 pieces of furniture, in 8.5 hours. Didn't even get to the garage and basement. How did the company handle it, knocked $70 of the destination fee and a promise to bring it up in training. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I would give TWO MEN AND A TRUCK IN SAN DIEGO 0 stars if I could. I have moved 18 times in my life and never have I had such an awful experience. First of all, it took two men 90 minutes to remove a headboard from a frame and load the following: a queen size mattress and box spring (split) and headboard, a sleeper sofa, a tiny filing cabinet, a small glass table, and three 3 boxes and two trash bags with bedding in it. In the process of loading the sleeper sofa they gashed the door frame and put the sofa upside down on a dolly and dragged the one arm across the asphalt and put a big tear in the arm of my $1400 sofa. I left a little before them to get to the storage unit and they claimed it took them 27 minutes to drive 6.5 miles.

I just made the trip 30 minutes before them (they were still loading the sofa when I left) and it took me 12 minutes. That would make his speed about 15 mph and half of the 6.5 mile trip was on the 15. Of course there is a financial advantage to pad the travel time because the travel time from point A to Point B is doubled by CA law. Not only that but my roommate texted me when they left the house and I know when they arrived at the storage unit. Simple fact, they lied about the time. So they charged me 54 minutes of travel time for a 6.5 mile move. Until it was all said and done, they wanted to charge me 3.5 hours to move a sofa, a bed, two VERY small pieces of furniture and 3 boxes and two garbage bags going only 6.5 miles.

Now, here comes the most insulting part of this entire experience. First of all, the movers tried to hide the fact that they had damaged my sofa. The damage was on the back top of the arm. When it came off of the truck it was on the dolly UPSIDE DOWN and the damage was concealed. Hmmm. Yep, they were going to just slide it right into that storage unit and I would be none the wiser. As irritated as I was with how slowly they were moving, that $40 tip was still in my pocket and I planned on giving it to them UNTIL I realized they tried to conceal the damage they had done. Okay now just to add insult to injury, the company wanted to give me $25 for my damaged sofa bed and no one said a word about the damaged door frame even though I had sent the company pictures of the damage. The insurance covers .66 per lb.

Who in their right mind would think a sleeper sofa weighs less than a small child (38 lbs. in fact). Then the driver refused to give me any paperwork because I refused to sign anything until I spoke to the office. When I did speak to the office they asked me to give them 5 business days to have someone get in touch me. I actually gave them 10 business days. It has been 2 weeks since the move and I can't even get a call back to file a claim for the measly $160 the insurance covers. Neither the movers nor the company have handled this professionally and you will be making a HUGE MISTAKE if you use Two Men and A Truck. Take if from someone with 18 moving experiences.

This was far the worst experience I have ever had moving. My belongings were lost, broken, and one item was even left behind at my old apartment. The movers took apart my bed at my old apartment, and placed the hardware in a plastic bag. When we arrived at the new house, they claimed that they must have left the hardware at the old apartment, so they could not put the bed back together. When I went back to my old apartment later that night, there was no bag, and no hardware. I called Two Men and a Truck, and the people I spoke to initially were very apologetic, helpful and friendly. They connected me with an operations manager, and his assistant.

The operations manager came to my house soon after to look at the bed, and figure out what he would need to put it back together. He took pictures, and said he would be back out later that week. He claimed that he tried to contact West Elm to get the parts for the bed from them, and the bed was no longer carried by West Elm, so he would have to go to the hardware store and buy the pieces individually. This is not true, the bed is still on the website for West Elm, and was just advertised in an e-mail that West Elm sent to me. I didn't hear back from the operations manager for over a week, and my phone calls were not returned. It has been 3 weeks now, and I still have a bed that is in pieces on my floor.

One floor lamp was broken during the move, the movers pulled the cord off of the lamp, and said they would take it to the factory to be fixed, and return it to me. I have not heard anything about the lamp. The bottom door on my entertainment stand was ripped off the hinges, and the movers did not even bother to tell me about this. I also noticed that my cat's large climbing tree had not been delivered to my new house, and I was sure they had taken it. When I went back to my apartment that night, I found the climbing tree on the side of the road where the movers had been packing the truck. I paid a lot of money to use this company, and thought I was going to get a quality service.

After more than 6 hours and the job half done we told them to unload the truck into the garage and leave... Suddenly they managed to unload rather quickly. With our house damaged and half the job to complete - along with the $1300.00 bill our emotions were beyond words.

I was willing to spend money to save time and our backs. Having all new furniture being delivered the next day, this was not a large or complicated job. I called them and gave them a list of everything in my home. I was going to be moving a week in advance. They told me I'd need 1 truck, 2 men, $900. Cool not a problem. Then they call me the day before the move and ask the same questions again and this time they said I need 5 men, 2 trucks for $1700. I got angry, but said "No. How about you move all my big things I cannot carry in my cars and I will move the rest, so please load the big items and leave the boxes." So guess what they do, loaded all the boxes 1st and leave no room for all my big stuff, then said "Sorry we also need room for our things in the truck so it was not filled to the end of the truck or to the ceiling." I am 40, an ex-military spouse 24 years and moved no less than 50 times. We always have used Mayflower and they always did a great job, so we ended up having to rent 2 more U-Haul trucks and spending over $3,000 for it all, because this company was sooo awful!

After they left to head to unload at my new home they forgot a tool bag and turned around with no one at my home except my dog and let my dog out my house by leaving the door opened and unlocked. My dog was running wild in the street when I came back. I was heated!!! They broke my washer, dropped it and smashed the back in and neglected to tell me at all. It was only 1 1/2 yrs old and over $1,000.

Now I didn't see any movers while I was in the house. They had disappeared so I went looking to see where they were, and they were all in the back of the truck smoking and had been throwing the butts in my yard, so all my property was being smoked on. I am a smoker but do not smoke in my home, and I do not litter my butts. They are the worst company you can ever ask for. I was going to use a different company but the guy I spoke with on the phone told me not to that they had a bad reputation. Maybe he got them mixed up with themselves!! Very Poor experience with movers in Atlanta, Georgia suburb. Four appointments to complete a job before men actually kept appointment and showed up. Five men came to the house June 4, 2016, to move a planter from local business to house and a medium sized fountain that was in three small parts. These five big guys complained and whined for one hour, about the lifting and carrying the objects, to us and their boss over the cell phone and were refusing to place the objects where needed.

Finally, when my wife offered them an extra $250.00 "under the table" they completed the job in 10 minutes! We paid the company Two Men And a Truck $800.00. The original cost to the company was suppose to be between $200.00-$400.00. The movers spent more time complaining than the actual moving. This was the most unprofessional and lazy group of "men" that I have ever done business with. I feel sorry for the manager or proprietor of Two Men And a Truck in the Alpharetta/Johns Creek/Cummings, Georgia locality. Will I ever do business with them again. Very unlikely. Will I recommend their services to a neighbor or friend. Never.

My fiancee and I were moving an hour away from Phoenix to Mesa and we had very little to move so we chose this company. Two young men showed up, looking very unprofessional, and as fast as they could, loaded our belongings onto their truck. We took the one hour drive to our new house and they plopped everything down in the new house, wherever it was convenient for them. We had several large plants to be put down in the back and when I told them where I wanted them they ignored what I said and just dropped them where they wanted. The worst part though, was that they lost two glass table tops of ours. My fiancee called and texted Nick, the person who he spoke to to arrange the move. Nick said he'd look into it and get back to us. He didn't bother to get back to us.

We waited a few days because it was a long holiday weekend and we wanted to give them some time, and then my fiancee called and texted him again. His response? His workers didn't know anything about it and neither did he. That was it. He never offered to replace them or pay us for them or anything. So now we can't use our desk and another table and they didn't bother to pay for them or replace them. They just blew us off. STEER CLEAR of this "company". Go with a reputable mover that stands by their work and is professional. It'll be worth the extra few dollars.

We used Two Men And a Truck for our local move here in Columbia, SC. When we unpacked our large TV, which had been placed back in its original packaging by the movers at our old house and put in the truck and then moved into our new house by the movers - we discovered it was broken. They were the only ones who had handled it. The screen was cracked. We called the company and asked them to work with us on a claim for this. Instead of trying to help, they are hiding behind the fine print in the contract (not being TV addicts, we didn't unpack our TV the first day after moving in.) We are very disappointed in this company and do not recommend them. We had found them through reviews on Angie's List and thought they were a good company. We recommend avoiding them based on our experience.

I hate that I have to give them a 1 star rating... There should be a zero star. I booked these folks April 2016. 4 men & 2 trucks. When I booked the move, I stressed to them I had $1,000 to spend and not a penny more. I moved from a 1800 sq. ft. house to a 1500 sq. ft house about 4 miles apart from one another. The men repeatedly REFUSED to use a dolly opting instead to each carry 1 or 2 boxes at a time. They strolled rather than walked. They stopped often to gossip about the member of their team that wasn't in the room. I am a military widow & I know how to pack. Everything that would fit in a box was in a taped box & the top was OVERLY clearly labeled as to what room it belongs in & whether or not it was fragile.

End of the day what should have taken 4 hours took 8. What should have been an $1,000 move turned into a $1650 move. They blocked my doorways with heavy furniture & I couldn't get into those rooms to get boxes & had to pay a neighbor's grown son to come over & clear pathways for me. They broke my grandmother's dresser, they broke antique china, they broke frames to my pictures, they broke a dining room chair... the list goes on and on. Because they stacked heavy boxes of books on top of boxes CLEARLY marked China, they broke so many items that I don't have room to list them here. Also, because they refused to work faster, I was forced to leave items at the old address.

When I called them to complain, I was told someone would call me back. No one ever has. I was not given an apology but was told by "Nick" that he would talk to the movers on my job & get their side of the story & then would call me back... no call. I felt as if my stuff was being held hostage because they refused to even open the truck at my new address until I paid them in full. After they left, I cried because they had me so upset. I will NEVER use this company again & I will tell anyone who is willing to listen not to use them either.

I am a 52 yr. old disabled veteran and needed help to move. After looking at multiple moving companies, and seeing the reviews of two men and a truck, decided to go with them. The communication was great and the crew arrived on the day and time scheduled. Had asked if they did packing and was told they did. I work in a flex schedule and during the weekends work 12 hour shifts. On the day of the planned move, had just gotten off of a 12 hour shift and needed to be out that day. Primarily, I had been staying with my sister until my wife and I found another place, so we basically had one bedroom and a small office to move complete with 2 computers, desk and desk chairs and clothes. Since there was minimal room, I would not be able to pack much until the day of the move. Have two cats, and would be taking them in my car when we would have left.

When the two men arrived, the first thing they said, "What is going?" and I told them. They said that the electronics needed to be disconnected and the bed linens taken off, which I did. They went back outside. When I went to get them to tell them the bed was ready to go, they said they had called their supervisor and was told not to do anything until he got there. When he got there he said that there was animal feces on the floor. I told them there was none, which there was none. Just cat food that my cats had knocked out of their feeder. He said that due to health reason if they could reschedule until the place is cleaned and my stuff was packed. I told them that I could not pack until items were moved out to make room to pack things into the boxes I was providing, which I gotten from U-haul, and that I had to be out that day. He said they could not move due to health reasons.

I told them I can go and get them latex gloves and air mask if they were that worried, and he said they had them but still would not move anything. I told them I was disabled, and they did not care. I even offered to carry everything to the front door and they could load it onto the truck which I carried the chairs and the bed and box springs, but it did not make a difference. I expected a moving company to come in and move your items in a professional and timely manner, and these guys were too worried about putting any effort into doing the move, that I had to get a u-haul truck and hire 3 men to move myself. This was the most lazy movers I have ever seen in my life and will never do business with them ever and will tell anyone I hear that is moving not to call them.

Incident: 11/20/2015. Extensive damage to furniture and granite counter top. Would not repair or reimburse damages. I paid for highest level insurance. Date of Service- 11/20/2015. Hired a crew of three to move household across the street as stipulated in contract. The following was not done: move was not completed as stated on contract, furniture was damaged, TV broken, box of dishes broken, granite counter top chipped.

Steven ** was sent to assess damage which took 10-15 minutes. The next day he said the company would not repair any of the damages. I paid an additional fee of $165.00 for insurance to cover the full cost on my furniture. I reached to the corporate office for assistance. I received an automated email that documents the email/call was received. I am now liability for a broken counter top and additional items without assistance from this company. I have move interstate with less issues! ABSOLUTELY THE WORST COMPANY!

I had a two part move. November to pick up house items and put into their storage for a month and then move to another house (in January - we didn't have exact date). First move, three men came over. One was his first day on the job so one mover had to explain everything to him... slowing down the move tremendously. Please never do this again. We had to pay 2.5 hours over because of their slowness. Also second truck showed up to put some metal designs that went in a box. We never could figure it out since the first truck had plenty of room. Second truck driver said "how in the ** are we supposed to put the metal pieces in the truck". Not only did my husband hear this, so did the 6 year old neighbor. Yes, I called this in but no one seemed concern.

This weekend the movers were to be at our house at 8:00 a.m., they arrived 12:15 p.m. and again think nothing is wrong with this. The first guy on phone said we should have loaded it last night but the trucks were out. Oh, so we should take the fall for that? This company really doesn't care but I will make every effort to get the word out.

While we were dealing with an already stressful situation Two Men and a Truck took advantage of the situation and stole most of our valuables! Chris robbed us blind, they rescheduled a couple times, they took stopped working a couple times and I had to feed them before they would continue to work. At the end, our bank accounts were compromised and all my jewelry, my young kids' electronics and many more things were missing... The experience a nightmare! I would never ever refer them to anyone and will continue to tell my story so more people can be aware of these thieves!

I was promised by Cust. Serv. that if I paid in advance the movers would come between 3 pm - 5 pm. We rearranged our whole moving schedule around that 3-5 window. Finally at 4:40 pm I get a call from customer service that the movers won't be here until 6 pm. Obviously I was a little upset so I ask the lady why they would wait until 20 min before to notify us. She didn't know. That was her orders. So I talked to the supervisor and asked him why his movers can't make it within a 2 hour window. He couldn't answer me! All he could say is, "you'll have to take your business elsewhere." Maybe they are only 2 men and a truck. If so I could see how maybe they could be backed up and be late by 3 hours but nationwide business? I don't get it.

This was the worst move we have ever experienced. We had a large house and had a lot of furniture so the move took two days, understandably. They delivered our furniture to 2 storage units as we were traveling for 6 months. We finally got a new home and moved in. This was supposed to be a happy time to see all our treasures and family heirlooms! Unfortunately for us many of them were missing! There was a lot of breakage and damage to our things. When I contacted the company they came out and apologized. Took one lamp they said they could fix. The next day they returned it and told me they were not responsible for anything! We had taken everything out of storage ourselves and unpacked only to find many items broken or missing. I called corporate and they were not helpful at all. Because we unpacked our things ourselves they would not do anything. Claiming once it goes in storage their responsibility ended. Do not use them.

My movers were out of San Marcos, Ca. We moved on Oct. 25 2015. The kitchen packer left items in cabinets and drawers (the other packers were fine). When I went to my new house, I realized no... knives, stainless, kitchen towels, cutting boards and etc. I had a cleaning crew come in and they found more things in the cabs above the microwave. I asked the fellow who did the kitchen not just to mark KITCHEN but to write on the box... dishes, glasses, pots. I was looking for a box I couldn't find because it was in the garage unlabeled. I called the company and I think I was talking with the son of the owner but not sure and he said he would do something for me... Not heard a word!!! Good thing, my new house was only 3.7 miles from my old house. Why hire a moving company if you need to pack??? Was not a good situation.

We wanted to support local business and also choose a company that would offer great service and we were willing to pay for it. We certainly paid the dollars and this company fell well below providing great service!! They showed up without insurance papers, damaged items, and then said we didn't take out insurance. When we complained, NO ONE picked up the phone to address any of our concerns! In fact as soon as we approved to proceed with them we received little to no communication. This experience and out of pocket cost has been terrible and we do not want another family to incur this experience.

They sent two college students to my house without any tool to do the job correctly. They damaged expensive furniture I had and would not listen to me on how to move them correctly. Then they sent out another idiot to give me an estimate on what they would pay me for the damages. NOTHING! Said it goes by pounds of the furniture and then broke some of my tools as well and would not reimburse me for those either. I even called the corporate office and they said it was up to the franchise and nothing they could do. They were the most expensive moving company I have ever used. DO NOT USE THEM!!!

Do not use Two Men and A Truck. They damaged several pieces of furniture, varying in value from $2k to $20k. We came to find out that the piece of paper the foreman quickly put in front of us as, without explaining, as we ^were walking out the door was an insurance document that limit us to.60/pound for furniture. The follow up regarding the damaged items was not timely or satisfactory. The move was extremely disorganized. They showed up late and ^there was not enough room on the trucks for all of the furniture and boxes. We had to take an SUV and make several additional trips to/from the home to move the additional items. Horrible experience. Don't be fooled as what you lose in damaged furniture far exceeds the savings versus a more premium moving company.

Two Men and a Truck acknowledged that my floor lamp was damaged beyond repair during my move. A representative of the company stated that floor lamps are often damaged due to the vibration of the truck. If so, why didn't they pack my floor lamp to prevent such damage? They stated they would look at a reasonable payment for the lamp and get back with me. They did not. I called repeatedly and each time was told they would get back to me but they didn't. Very disappointed in the damage and extremely poor customer service.

Told us they charged by the hour, but asked for credit card number for credit check. When we checked our bank account the night before, we saw that they had already charged the credit card for four hours. When we called this morning to double check on the truck arrival time, we were told sometime between ten in the morning and two in the afternoon. In other words, "Sometime today." Very questionable business practices. Since we look for this to be about a three hour move, I imagine we'll have to fight to get reimbursed the money they already charged us.

The crew showed up 45 minutes late was told they'd be here between 8 and 9 a.m. I talked to a man by the name of Josh locally when I reserved their services three weeks prior to my moving day. Three guys show up, # 1 asked to use a restroom, I told him "I'm sorry my dog is confined to the restroom and you can't use it because he needs to be in there while you're here."

The Crew leader had his clipboard and we did the walk thru the house showing them what was going, what was staying at the house. I open the door to the garage and showed them everything I've personally packed and said "This also goes, where would you like to start?" Two guys went back out to the truck, the third one was here had me initial his contract and states "Ma'am this is $150 an hour and can take 8 to 9 hours today." I told him "I'm sorry, the man named Josh I spoke with on the phone quoted me $1200.00 for the entire move" and now they didn't have enough room on the truck for a 3-bedroom home I was quoted over the phone. This crew chief said I need to contact a supervisor and proceeded to the cargo bay of the truck leaving my front door open the entire time, no consideration that I have pet(s) in the house luckily I had them confined.

Ten minutes later I look out and there's the truck driving down the street, my front door still open, no explanation from the crew, no one ever came back into my house to tell me they were not doing the move, they just left. I called the office and spoke with Josh and was told they're not doing the move. Thanks Guys I will never suggest or recommend your company to anyone, thank you for letting me hanging now having to locate and find yet another mover this is a fly by night group with a truck.

I called for an estimate to ship 415 lbs cross country. The girl on the phone told me that mileage starts from the time the movers leave the dock, until they return. Therefore, 1600 miles would actually be 3200 miles. She quoted me $10,000 (seriously!) to move less than 1 bedroom's worth of items! Are you kidding me???

They arrived on time to move my 1 BR apt to a 2 BR apt across the street. They wreaked of cigarette smoke so I asked them to wash their hands before handling my child's clothes and our towels, sheets, etc. The lead guy asked why I would assume they smoke, which was only the first of several comments made to try and turn something around on me. I told him I didn't assume, I could smell it. During the packing process, they asked me for a marker to label boxes (they only labeled 2-3 boxes anyway and never returned the marker to me), scissors, and a door stopper. How do movers not have these items? When they were "done" packing, I pointed out several cabinets and a closet they had completely overlooked which he again tried to blame on me, saying I told them not to do those. Not true. He made a stink about having to back to the truck to get more boxes, but they did it.

They had to disassemble my day bed to get it out of the apt which is fine. More on that in a minute. When we arrived at the new place where I have nice, clean carpets, I had to ask them to put something down to keep them clean or remove/cover their shoes. They resisted, then put down a runner that was maybe 8 feet long, so that's all that got covered and they walked in the rest of the apt with their dirty boots. I have a 3-yr-old that spends a lot of time on the floor so I don't even walk in here with my own shoes on but not much I could do. One of the guys cut himself so he asked me for a band-aid, then some water. More items that movers should come prepared with.

When they were reassembling the day bed, the lead guy told me that I had put it together wrong (more blaming me) and as he was screwing in the final 2 screws, he said they were too short and there should've been longer screws in that spot. Again, what could I do? I told him to just put the shorter screws in. I only noticed AFTER they left that the longer screws he needed were screwed into a spot where he should've used the shorter screws so they went through the leather material of the bed and were now sticking out the front of the bed, creating a safety hazard (See pic). For my daughter's bookcase, only 4 of the 8 pegs that hold the shelves made it over here, so I can't put the shelves in and use that piece of furniture. They told me they don't know what happened to the other 4 pegs and I never did find them.

As icing on the cake, when I unpacked my wardrobe boxes, which are used to hang clothes, below the hanging clothes I found a bunch of other clothes just tossed in the bottom of the box. They called me this morning because they wrote down my cc number incorrectly so payment didn't go through. Before verifying payment info, I explained all of my issues with the move. The manager told me he was sorry, but that I needed to give full payment and then file a claim to get money-back. Sketchy, and I wasn't sure what to do, so I verified payment info, but I'm regretting not being firmer about it. After reading all of these horrible reviews, who knows if I'll get any compensation now.
