Rarely do I feel comfortable recommending a company based on my experience with them. I can however honestly and without hesitation recommend American Van Lines. My experience starting with my initial phone call, to the final delivery of my furniture was top notch. American Van Lines employees were professional, courteous, punctual, reliable, and dedicated to customer satisfaction. It was a pleasure to business with them.

I was moving to Delray Beach Florida from Lake Worth Florida and used American Van Lines for the move. The guys did a good job disassembling and reassembling all the furniture, it was heavy. They moved the furniture with ease and I only ended up with a few scratches and dings, not too bad for the tight quarters they were working in. Overall very satisfied and will be using them again real soon. Thank you.

American Van Lines moved me from Woodland, California to Peru, Illinois with a whole household of furniture, appliances, and tools. They were very thorough and wrapped all my stuff up carefully so nothing was broken. I was very pleased with their services and the movers were excellent. Thanks again.

As I have been a client for many years, I wished for all to know and understand, American Van Lines are a superior moving company to all the rest in their field... They are always on time, communication from the moment you book your move is wonderful and best of all, the movers take pride in their workmanship and take care of your belongings as if they were their own.

After submitting this review, the owner of the company contacted me right away about resolving some of the issues I had with our move. While I am still not one hundred percent satisfied, I feel they made a sincere effort to fix what could be fixed after the fact.

My elderly parents moved 2 weeks ago from FL to MA. I could not be more pleased with how American Van Lines helped them pack, handled their boxes and loaded their furniture. Their belongings arrived within 6 days which is extremely fast and they were so helpful and kind. They placed their furniture where they asked as well as each box. Wonderful movers. Thank you.

The move was scheduled to relocate my 93 YO Mother from Sebastian, FL to Somerset, KY. The driver and two helpers were phenomenal! When my mother asked where she should go/sit to be out of their way, they told her to stay where she was - they would work around her. I would definitely recommend American Van Lines to anyone that's looking for a mover.

I cannot say enough how wonderful the packers were and the driver. Our belongings were packed, shipped, and received within 6 days. Everything arrived in great condition and nothing was missing. Very helpful. I would highly recommend this moving company.

American Van Lines (MBM Movers) out of Greensboro NC, was a great moving company. Mike, David, and John were so nice and worked so hard. They were very careful with my furniture. A lot of it was antiques. Nothing was broken. Everything was in good shape just like they picked it up. I was very happy and I would recommend them to anybody that needs movers.

From the first phone call to final delivery our moving experience was very professional. The pack up team arrived on time and used great care in packing and wrapping our items. Our bedroom furniture is very heavy and on the second floor - no complaining or comments, they just moved it. We stored our property in the American Van Lines facility in Pompano - it was really like two moves even so all of the packing boxes arrived in perfect condition. All of our furniture was well wrapped and arrived without a scuff.

Good job, faster and good professional drivers. They made a good wrap in the furniture and wait for me in destination to find the correct address. They made in real time the delivery and help me with some comments about the coordination to arrange the furniture. Really recommend American Van Lines to friend and family.

This was a distance move so we had a lot of anxiety. MBM American Van lines handled with professionalism and courtesy. Having a move coordinator was a big help and added some comfort in knowing we had someone to call during the move. We would highly recommend MBM American Van Lines.

My dining room suite was packed and moved to a storage facility. The move was done in short time with no damage.

I needed a good moving company to move me from Garner, NC to Asheville, NC. Since my company was not moving me, I needed a low-cost moving company with a great reputation. I searched the internet for such a company. I read excellent reviews about American Moving Company. They provided me with an estimate and able to meet my demands of packing in one day and delivering the next. I am happy to say they were able to meet my demands. Chad, DJ and Jessie took care in packing all my items, as if they were packing their own items. The following day Chad and Jessie brought my household goods to me. There was a problem with their vehicle and they call me to inform me they would be about an hour late on the delivery.

I contacted American Van Lines and had received a so-called "Binding Estimate". I had contacted another very reputable moving company and they came to my home and did an on-site estimate. They were a little more expensive, and American Van Lines also moved our military troops, so I went with them. In the meantime, we sold a lot of furniture and moved a 16' truck load of furniture and pictures and other household items. I called and estimate was adjusted accordingly. Moving day finally arrives, and the first comment by the driver - only at my garage, "is there is a lot more than anticipated?"

I chose American Van Lines based on their five-star rating on ConsumerAffairs and the customer reviews. I called and spoke with Tim who was very friendly and professional. He kept me informed of the details of the move. My elderly mother sold her house in Port Saint Lucie and was moving to a second floor condo in Stuart. She has a heavy Thomasville dining room set and also an antique solid mahogany poster queen size bed along with solid cherry nightstands, dresser and armoire.

Moving from NC to FL. The gentlemen handled my belongings with the utmost care.

Excellent service, all people were very friendly and helpful. They kept us up to date on the move daily. All furniture was in perfect condition upon arrive at the new destination. They treated us like we were their only customer.

There were many things about my American Van Lines team I found impressive. My estimator actually came to the house; was quick, thorough and emphasized several times that the estimate was binding. We moved from the Boston Area to Florida. Let me start by saying from my first conversation with William who set up the move for me I was given customer service plus. No false promises. He just wanted to make sure he could give me an accurate fair price. He followed up with me throughout the process. Then on moving day we met Lexis and his team and they loaded my house full of furniture and boxes on the truck, wrapping each item so carefully. They were polite, knowledgeable, professional and friendly which set us at ease. Moving is very stressful but not with Lexis and his team! They took pride in their profession and American Van Lines are fortunate to have them!

Very professional drivers, careful with our stuff.

I found all concerned with my move very professional & helpful. The quotes on price and weight I found very fair and right on. The packing and loading of my items was done with great professionalism and care. All in all it was a very stress free move.

My husband and I recently moved from Miami, FL to Charlotte NC. We were nervous about choosing a company and read some reviews online. The reviews for American Van Lines found online were very good and helped with our choice. The service provided by American Van Lines was exceptional. The entire moving experience was good with Tyrone and Brandon being very professional and good at what they did. The movers and the individual that gave me the quote did their jobs extremely well. The only issue I had was with an individual named Angie that wouldn't accept my original card as payment and made a huge deal out of it. I had two moves, one went to storage and one to a rental condo. I had Rafael and his crew and they were excellent, they were professional and courteous. I will be moving again in about 6 months and I would like Rafael and his crew again.

Moved half way across the country. My driver and his team were really great. They were fast, efficient, and informative. We had a difficult situation with scheduling the drop-off, but the driver work with us and everything was delivered without any issues or broken items.

My move from Niagara Falls NY to Southport NC was made manageable through the courtesy and professionalism of the American Van Lines team. Potential problems in scheduling the move, packing a grand piano, and delivering to a destination that I could not be present for were handled as if I were a relation. We moved from a very remote, hilly location in GA to a development in FL. Our moving men were quick, conscientious and careful.

Our belongings were handled with the utmost care with hardworking packers. We stored our belongings for 2 months at a really reasonable price and they were delivered when we requested with nothing broken with another set of hardworking people. I would highly recommend this moving company to anyone making a relocation.

My mom and I had just lost her husband, my father, in May and my mom made the decision to move back to her hometown. This was an incredibly stressful time, but American Van Lines made this a good experience for us for our first out of state move. We dealt with Matthew on the phone scheduling the van and he was wonderful. The men that came to load the van and unload were wonderful and friendly. The only reason I wouldn't give 5 stars was because I felt confused talking to people handling Quality Relocation Inc. that did the actual moving van part. I didn't realize up front that they worked with American Van Lines and was confused because the man had a foreign accent. Other than that, the move went well and smooth.

If you want honest and careful movers American Van Lines are the only people to trust with your stuff. They made a stressful situation less stressful. I did not have to lift a finger and all my stuff was delivered without any damages. Thanks so much American Van Lines.

After writing my negative review, AVL contacted me and helped resolve this issue. One of the managers reviewed the telephone recorded conversations between my husband and the estimator. It seems as though the initial conversations for the estimate were based on weight however once we signed the binding contract, it was set as a flat rate - which wasn't clear to us at that time. The manager I spoke with was very accommodating, and refunded the difference in the weight plus a bit extra for our dissatisfaction. I appreciate the customer service on the tail end of the transaction.

We moved our household from SC to NC. The move went as planned on the day it was suppose to happen and household items were delivered the next day. Movers took great care with furniture and belongings. We had an issue with our wood floors in the kitchen were scratched and the company paid for the repairs needed very fast. I'm very happy with the service provided. Also price matched the estimate for the move.

I have gone through 5 out of state moves as an adult and countless moves growing up as the son of a soldier. I can say without a doubt that my move with American Van Lines in the summer of 2015 was the best. We (wife, daughter, and myself) moved from North Carolina to Ohio and from start to finish AVL did exactly what they told me they would do. After all my online research I had 3 companies do an in-home estimate and felt AVL was the best company.

Relocated from Greensboro, NC to Murrells Inlet, SC. The whole experience was great. From the first call... till they were pulling out from the new location.

Our movers, **, were very professional and worked diligently and efficiently, get us moved out and into our new house the same day. I would recommend them to others.

The move was accomplished successfully. The loaders handled everything in an efficient manner and everything was delivered intact. The biggest glitch was that we provided American Van Lines with an estimate of the items to be moved which was too low. If the company had been able to send an inspector to verify their own estimate, I think the loading would have been more efficient. As it was the initial truck was too small and so the loading continued through another day. Nevertheless everything was handled well.

My daughter moved from West Palm Beach, Florida to Denver, Colorado. The person we worked with in the office was very helpful. The driver and mover showed up on time, were very efficient and friendly, the household goods showed up on time and in good shape. I would recommend them.

After my review was posted I received a call from the owner. He was very apologetic and confirmed that my advance money was refunded but it took long in processing time. I did eventually received credit back. The owner explained that due to unavoidable circumstances they were unable to provide service. He sounded sincere and regretful. He has assured me that they are constantly trying to improve their service and their system. He even offered to compensate me to offset the increased cost that I had to bear. I am satisfied and have reached a settlement.

After our original complaint, we received several calls from the owner of the company. He was very quick in resolving our issues and frustration we've had. Because of his quick response to resolving the issues, we have changed our rating to 5-star. We will not hesitate to use American Van Lines in the future.

I wrote to customer service at 4 pm on Saturday since their office was closed. The owner of the company then tracked down the movers and they were at my place within couple of hours. They moved by stuff - 750 miles away within 48 hrs and my stuff was delivered on Monday - which was exceptional and excellent management.

The move was handled professionally and we were happy with the pickup and delivery.

When I wrote this review I was frustrated at not getting a callback for some questions I had about the move. The owner called to apologize and explained to me that their company was extremely busy and any slight of duty on their part was unintended. The Truck Drivers are here and delivery to NY will happen on morning after tomorrow. So far I am very happy with the service.

I posted earlier this week about American Van Lines having the wrong move date. They have since apologized and refunded my deposit in full.

I signed all contracts and gave my deposit to be moved from Georgia to Maine and was called four days before the move and told the company had to cancel as the truck was out of service. There isn't another moving company available as this is the busiest time of the year, so we have had to rent a truck and will move ourselves. Being senior citizens, this heavy work is not something we look forward to.

Our moving crew was very professional and polite. They exceeded our expectations. I would definitely recommend American Van Lines to anyone who needs a moving company. Customer service was excellent and the price was great.

The whole process was done online. Excellent information provided. Immediate response when called or emailed. Furniture properly wrapped with nothing damaged. Upon delivery, the two men had to park the truck down our street and carry the furniture down an icy road. It was below zero on the day of our move. They were very nice and professional despite really awful conditions.

I found both gentlemen to be easy to talk to and capable of moving our home furnishings. The inventory was done accurately and even when I needed to increase the size of the load due to some last minute decisions, ** worked with us to ensure everything would make the truck. ** was a very hard worker and hauled everything out of our home for staging and rarely took a break. Some larger items needed to be wrapped and he took care of everything. Once the truck arrived in Florida we were delayed due to bad weather in Tennessee and thankfully ** was able to delay by one day and have our furniture delivered the evening of our eventual arrival. There was poor communication between the driver and the company. The driver called us the night before he was to arrive. The company called us after the driver had already arrived and told us the driver would be arriving sometime that day. There was an ice storm the day prior and we had no time to clear our driveway in advance of his arrival since we were only informed at a late hour the night before. The driver complained to us that we were causing an unsafe environment for him and his crew since the driveway was icey. If someone had given us better notice of when to expect him we could have cleared the driveway before the truck arrived.

Everyone was very helpful and efficient from FL packers to the men who delivered my possessions to MA.. Move went as scheduled, cost was as estimated. I would definitely recommend American Van Lines to anyone looking for movers.

It's not the first time I've used American Van Lines services on several occasions for relocations/moves. I have always been very happy and content with the service. The one time I had to use another company since American Van Lines was not available, I was very sorry I did. The service from this other company was so bad and nowhere near the excellence of service that American Van Lines has always provided. This time around was no different! These guys were awesome, worked so hard to make every part of the move a great experience. I would recommend this company to anyone in a heartbeat.

Although my quote was based on three men only two were on the job. However the move was completed efficiently with the two movers. I forgot to specify that the job needed to be completed before 5 pm due to condo restrictions. I recommend that this should be automatically asked by the estimator when booking the job to avoid issues.

Overall we had a great experience with the moving team. We were a little frustrated with the timing details. This was an elderly person and a little nerve racking for her. We did miss one numbered box, but probably because the numbers fell off in shipment. Thank you for the great staff and help.

My move went very smoothly and they were easy to deal with. Even when I had to reschedule my move dates a couple of times.

I used American Van Lines for a recent move and did in and out of storage. They were excellent! Everything was perfect!

My moving experience was excellent. The 3 men were extremely polite, did as I asked plus extras. I had bags of moving items in my car, they immediately took them out & carried them upstairs for me. I left the new home for 15 minutes, forgetting to tell them that I had bought sliders to put under the legs of the furniture so as not to scratch the wood floors. These men took it upon themselves to find the bag of sliders & attach them. They were very careful not to scratch walls nor break anything. I highly recommend American Van Lines if all their staff are like the 3 that served me.

You hear so many bad reviews about moving companies, so, of course, I was nervous about my move. I called other companies and they were not as accommodating as American Van Lines, who was willing to come to my house after normal business hours when I work, and give me a written quote for my move. The representative who came out was courteous, knowledgeable and on time! I called him several times after we meet. He was always professional and answered all my questions.

Excellent job done in a timely fashion. The movers took great care with my belongings. Helped continued beyond the road as they assisted in placing furniture in the requested places. Recommend MBM to all my friends.

I really enjoy mbm American vanlines because they take pride in what they do and very polite to the customer. I have use this company three times for moving my personal things. I keep their card in my purse at all time because I never know when I may need them. I like that they break the furniture down and reset it back up in the place where you may want your furniture.

I can say truthfully that the 3 men that moved me were the best I have ever had in my moving experience. They worked really hard and fast, and handled everything I had to move with care. They worked hard to keep to the amount I had been quoted. You need to keep them.

Despite a couple of challenging days that mother nature threw at us, everything arrived intact with no damage whatsoever. This included an ice storm at the pickup site, and sub-zero temperatures and snow at the destination. The moving truck did break down a couple of hours away from the destination, but I blame that on the weather and they worked tirelessly to get it repaired and were here early the next morning. Thanks guys.

I have moved over 7 times in my adult life and ** and his brother and best friend were the best I have ever work with. They were very professional and hard working. I would highly recommend American Van lines and especially ** and his team. ** the move coordinator was awesome as well and very professional.

DO NOT EVER USE THIS MOVING COMPANY! The moving company showed up a day later than the original 3 day window with the wrong size truck. They had a full inventory list which matched what we had but the weight was about 12,000 pounds off from our original weight quote from **. The movers told us to rent a truck and drive ourselves with the rest of the load as their truck only held 8000 pounds and they had to leave room for another 1000 load they had contracted already. Since we had closed on our home a day prior and were already late moving out we had no other option. They also charged us an additional $300 cash to help load this truck but were working soooo slowly my boyfriend and I wound up doing the majority of the work.

They have violated every so-called agreement, yet will not give me my property unless I pay them 24 hrs. before they deliver my things. They begged & harassed me for my business...estimate way off...had to get a bigger truck. Even after I agreed to allow them to come 3 days earlier, the dispatcher called me & yelled at me, saying I was holding up the movers because I was not all packed up. Yet the movers had not begun to move my piano, living room or bedroom furniture. I have been trying to get my belongings for two weeks. I have no idea if I will ever see my property. I gave them 40% down & was told upon delivery to pay balance. Now, they say they won't give me my property unless I pay in advance 24 hrs. Yet, I don't know where my things are???

We hired American Van Lines to move our offices back in August 2014. They accommodated our Saturday move. They were there when they said they were going to be there. The guys were very easy to get along with and they moved our offices with care. I think they were very professional as a whole company from their customer service side of it, all the way down to the guys on the truck that did the actual move.

I am very happy that I received a call from Sara and Tamikia from the offices at American Van Lines to tell me they located a piece of furniture that I had thought the driver lost. They will be delivering it back to me. It was from my mom who recently passed away and was very sentimental to me and I was very upset that it wasn't here with my delivery but after some long hours on their part they went far beyond what most companies would do and tracked it down. I am now a happy camper!! We wanted to look for a company that not only met a budget but would be responsible for moving out of state with no gimmicks. I was very happy with the service not only from the customer service and the dispatch, but also from the actual movers that come to our house.
