The previous background check provider we had turned their lights out, shot me an email and said they were out of business. So, I went looking for a background organization that integrates with our information system BambooHR. GoodHire’s integration factor is good, their interface looks great and the people have been responsive.

GoodHire is fast and easy to use when I’m running a background check. The most I’ve waited was a day but that's even pushing it. Everything seems well and the company has been performing exactly as what they have stated they would perform.

GoodHire has been great and we like the ease of the online portal that it has and the customer service. We just put the guy’s information in there, which they email to the particular person that we’re looking to hire. At that point, it prompts them to go through the different questions and get the information to run a background check. Once they have done their portion of it, it takes back the background check to us to let them know if they’re good or not. The instructions are detailed enough, but not overly detailed and confusing or convoluted. We signed up online and ran one to see how it operates. GoodHire was quick to give us an email and a call and we ended up talking to one of the folks up there and told her what we were looking to do.
She said, “Yeah, we can batch those together and give you a better rate.” So, she automatically saved me money that I didn’t have to spend and that was excellent customer service. We’re happy with their service and we’ll continue to use them at this point. I would tell others to call GoodHire and set up with them. I will also give them a bit of a rundown on how GoodHire works and tell them that is what we use for our company, and it has worked great.

I was on Google searching for companies and GoodHire was one of the few that came out. We went around their website and saw the rest of the process and method. In general, running a background check was easy and comfortable, if one follows the steps. Moreover, it’s working perfectly right now. I like their customer service and every time I've called, I have gotten what I needed. In addition, they were clear and paid attention. I recommend using GoodHire.

I've been in the tax business for 27 years and a couple of background check providers I had used were satisfactory, did good work and did the follow-up but they're out of business now. The franchise made a recommendation but it was supposed to have been around $25. I put one in just to run it through and check it and the flag came up on it. They were charging me $175 for it so that didn't last long. So, I went internet shopping and I ended up with GoodHire. There was nothing positive about the interactions I had with their customer service. Part of it was that they were not accessible on the weekend. And for the type of transaction I had, the weekend was my most opportune time. When I was calling on a Saturday morning, I wouldn’t hear about it 'till Monday afternoon.
Then, we had problems getting into the systems. I input 18 employees to run a check on but instead of saying it will have the background check in 24 hours that I've been used to, there was a flag that indicated it could be 15 days which was not satisfactory. I called them and they said they got a new system, and if I’ll input it and send it to them, they’ll do it and get it taken care of. That did not happen. I was really busy at the time but a week into it, I called a week and got the runaround. And at that point, they had done one of 15 or 20.
I called back after another week to tell them to forget about it, cancel the order and that I'll find somebody that can do it. And they put me through three reams of paperwork to even cancel the order. Also, they gave me another number and downloaded me to somebody else which was on Pacific time. I was waking somebody up at 7:30 in the morning and it wasn’t a pleasant conversation with her or me. Then yesterday, I got an invoice from GoodHire for $22. It was one of those things that started out bad and it got worse and worse and worse. Finally, I was at the end of my rope. The service I got was ridiculous.

When we heard about GoodHire from another company, we went with them and their service has been great. The instructions were very good and everything has been great. GoodHire has a very easy process and their customer service has been great. They're better than the other background check provider we had 18 years ago and the company's expectations were met. We’re probably going to order another one soon. It’s been a fantastic experience with GoodHire and I would tell others that they’re great and quick.

GoodHire's process for a background check is easy. However, there were a couple sticky points where GoodHire's contact said one thing but their language and agreement said another. I'm a contractor so I don't work directly with GoodHire, and one of the communication pitfalls that we had was the terminology of “trial”. My client thought it was a free trial and she just did not understand. When using the term trial, it usually refers to a free trial and you're not being charged. But I explained that they would be charged with each person that they submitted to. Also, there was another different verbiage where it was not supposed to be a contract but then in the verbiage of the agreement, it referred to it as a contract. My client pointed it out, too. So, she was reluctant to sign a contract.
Other than those, I've been happy so far with GoodHire giving an email saying that the person responded to the authorization form and that it started. But, GoodHire should be more realistic with their timeframe on the website because they have standard background check which is one to three days. And if you go to any company, education, or employment, you're going to get it maybe in one week. So, their time frame would be more realistic if it would be three to five days because they've been good about hitting the five-day mark but not the three days. Overall, my experience has been positive. I have had excellent customer service and then they let me know when the check is done. So, they were communicating every step of the way.

My fiancé did a little bit of research, then he spoke to someone from GoodHire and made the decision. The customer service was good and the experience with GoodHire has been fine. I fill out an Excel spreadsheet and email it to our representative, then GoodHire starts the background check process and we usually have them within 48 hours.

If you're interested in making your onboarding process a lot easier, GoodHire is definitely the route to go. The dashboard tells exactly everything you need to know based off of each candidate and you can click for even more detail. You can also see exactly what's holding it up or you can set the settings for the emails if someone has it. You can give candidates three days to go in there and put their stuff in. And if they haven't done in three days, it sends you an email reminder to remind them and you can edit it to how many days you let it go out.
Everything is right there and it takes five seconds to do it all. It's very simple, easy to use, makes the onboarding process quick, and makes your job a lot easier. And there's a sweet lady from their customer service team, Tammy, who checked on us to make sure we don't have any questions when we first got started. She emails us all the time, checks in on us, and sees how we're doing. Overall, I have no complaints with GoodHire and I'd recommend them.

GoodHire's price was good and they were easy to deal with. We’re a start-off company so we work only with the ease of doing business and with somebody that wasn't too expensive. I have always been able to get someone from their CS. The salesperson I had was good and she definitely worked with me and tried to cater to my needs. I definitely like that I get a report on an individual and I can view its progress. And when I get results, it has been detailed. I'll tell friends to use GoodHire.

I own the company and I’m the one that set up the account with GoodHire. Nikita is my Lead Talent Acquisition Consultant and we both use it. When Nikita came on board, I asked her which she likes among the background check companies she had used in the past and when she told me GoodHire, I told her that we’ll give them a shot. She’s always been happy with their service and she said they were fairly efficient and easy to work with. We stopped recruiting and then stopped using the parameters we had and we just restarted again in December. Everything went smoothly in running a background check using GoodHire but it took a lot longer than expected. The turnaround time took a couple of weeks but then, it was through Christmas and New Year, so that was part of the challenge.

We were using a different background check provider and we weren’t getting our bang for our buck so I know that it wasn’t being done accurately or legally. With GoodHire, we log in, send an email to the employee and we have them enter the information. All of their on-boarding is also electronic. They get two emails and then everything gets done on Day One and then the background check gets run. If there are no issues, it’s normally back within 24 to 72 hours. GoodHire has been honest in what they sold us. They’re doing everything legally that needs to get done. GoodHire is very user-friendly and we’re more than happy with them. Tracy, our contact, has been amazing and very quick to respond to any questions we might have had.

However, we've had issues with getting back the report within a sufficient amount of time. We did a chat online and asked basic questions. We also reached out via email through our account rep, and they were very responsive. Overall they are very easy to use, though they still need to fix the issues of the turnaround time.

We were put onto GoodHire by one of the new employees of the team who had used them before. The group that we used previously were much more expensive and they weren't corporate. They weren't as well-structured. When we send them some information, we may receive it back the next day or we may have to wait two weeks.
GoodHire had better pricing and was more specific to our interest, with us being in the healthcare space. Moreover, we had more confidence in them. The team loved the program. It's super easy to use and they can do everything online. We don't have to interact with people, which is what we had to do previously, so that streamlines us a lot. They're also going to set up an additional system, which is going to be really valuable to us, where we do ongoing IG background checks on our staff. It's an automated process, which will be another labor-saving solution. I'm really happy with what they're doing.
I've talked with their customer service team a couple of times. They were knowledgeable and helpful. Earlier on, I asked them questions in and around the frequency of activity as well as some of the requirements that they had to set us up with the clients. I also asked if they wanted business licenses and other things. GoodHire is efficient in what they do and very accurate. They're also prompt.

We were trying to transition from BambooHR, the PEO that we're working with, and we were using a background check place through them. I had to find a new one to work with once we were done with the relationship so I went through BambooHR’s affiliates and partners and I found GoodHire. They were perfect since they work with BambooHR.
GoodHire is fantastic and their customer service team is awesome. The lady I worked with to find an actual account rep was always checking in to make sure everything is cool. Then the account rep helped me set everything up in no time. It was seamless. I was sent the instructions and we have a login. The account rep was also always available and I had all my questions answered as well.
I have used GoodHire twice since we set up the account. The interface is really nice, clean and modern, while the one we used before wasn't. Also, it's straightforward and easy to understand. It was just a matter of sending them the person in the email, and then they would take care of getting me information for a moment and would just let me know when it was ready. And that's when I would take a look at it and tell the account rep, "Okay. It's good to go." And that was it. GoodHire was cheaper too.

I did some preliminary research and GoodHire had good reviews online. Also, the fact that it paired with our HR IRS system, Bamboo, was really nice because it's so easy to just move our applicants over. We just put the program in place and it's been fulfilling our needs so far so I'm pretty satisfied with what we've got. It's worked really well and we've run almost 50 background checks. It gets the job done and it's a fairly easy interface to request a background check. I've used their chat a couple of times when I've had some questions about what to do and I spoke with our account manager when we were setting things up and getting things together. They've been pretty responsive.

I just got hired where I'm working at and they were already using GoodHire. It's very simple and very user-friendly. You just click "run background" and purchase it. And when purchasing, you have options and you can pick whichever you want to add. You can edit the purchasing option so if you don't like a driver's license or, for example, a drug screen, you can close out. You put the person's first and last names, and click purchase. Then you wait until everything clears on the applicant's part. I like calling and talking to GoodHire's customer service agents. I can do the life check on their website but usually, I put my number in and they call me right away and their customer service is great. GoodHire definitely meets the expectations, and I would suggest that others go through them for any background screen.

We are a newer home care company. We went and looked around for some reviews, and we went through what other people's experiences were with GoodHire. When I first started using them, it was a little bit confusing. It may have been because nobody walked me through it initially. But after that initial experience, they have had easy access to customer service. They have a specific person who I have contact with, and if I have any questions, I can direct them to this particular person. He cleared up any confusion that I had, and since then, it's been a breeze. He also gets back to me immediately so it's been a great experience. Even the fees that they charge were, compared to other companies, really good.
I would definitely tell others that GoodHire's customer service is the best. Any company can be great, but when you get to the customer service aspect, it can change your opinion entirely, and that's what the selling point for me was. If I would've had the complications that I had initially and didn't have such good customer service experience just with the contact person, it would've turned me off and I probably would've changed companies. But because GoodHire gets back to you so quickly and are really on top of things, it makes everything much more pleasurable.

GoodHire is awesome and the system does what we’re looking for. They partner with a bunch of different recruiting apps and it’s one of the only ones that have all these integrations. We use some of those other apps and GoodHire is also unique in that they are specific towards recruiting. But sometimes, it’s confusing with things getting held up in processing, which is the only downside. Something would get held for review then it will say an expected date but usually it’s never on that day. Then for some reason in the system, it doesn’t register and you have to call to find out what’s going on. But when it’s not held up, it’s usually really fast.

We use GoodHire in my radio shop but we preferred Choice Screening overall because we have an option to do minors. We hire people under 18 frequently and GoodHire doesn't have that option, although they have the UI, which is great. It’s really easy to run a background check with GoodHire and everybody has learned it quickly. We haven't had any issues with it and pricing-wise, it also compares to the others. The customer service has been wonderful compared to the account management and the sales representative. I would definitely recommend GoodHire to anybody who is only focused on people who are 18 up.

Someone within our network referred GoodHire to us and I had a straightforward experience with them. I input the credit card information and they have a basic template where I enter the name and the email address of the candidate that’s being considered. And then it sends them an email. There are two options but we always use the option where we have them fill out their own information. But the one thing that is a little inconsistent is the timing in which the full reports are completed. It can be anywhere from a couple of days to weeks to even a month. Also, for a particular county, you have to pay an additional fee to access those reports. I assume that this is something that is a standard across the board no matter which background check company people would use.
There were a couple of instances where it took a little longer than expected to get the results. But GoodHire's customer service was very accommodating. They credited us five free reports for the one issue that we had. GoodHire is very valuable and we partially base our hiring decisions on that. The reporting has been pretty helpful. There have been some things that have come back, particularly with criminal backgrounds that have made us go one direction or another.

Across my career, we’ve used several background check companies. With GoodHire, I like that they have a webpage and it gives me an opportunity to pay online. It seems a bit more interactive. I can tailor the screen to what I need. And before, it was really all kind of over the phone and just a lot less visible, so I like GoodHire's visibility. It’s also fairly straightforward. I initiate the background check by essentially just putting in the employee candidate’s information, selecting my package and GoodHire takes care of the rest. It will vary depending on the depth of the screening that you’re willing to do but we do very high-level checks and it only takes two or three days.
I’ve only done one so far. I got an email notification saying it was done and then I logged on to GoodHire to pull up the results and download them or print them if I wish. The background check seems to be suitable for our needs to get the job done so I’m happy enough with it. I was told at the very beginning by my salesperson that I could tailor my package on the website, and they’re going to give me a call today to walk me through it. However, once, I received a phone call from a third-party that wasn’t them verifying the employment of someone that I was running a background check for. It didn’t make sense and I was confused because they’re verifying employment for a job that the person had just taken. I also had to call them a couple of times because I was frustrated at the fact that even though I had purchased a certain package that had a national database security check, if there were any county records, I was going to have to pay for those over and above.

GoodHire came up as one of the options when I did a google search for background check companies. They gave us the flexibility in doing certain background checks, like a federal or criminal background check. Plus, it gave options that one could add on to the price. Based on the size of the company that I work for and how many background checks we were going to do, it was more cost-effective for us to use them. Running a check is relatively simple. It just takes several clicks, plus the name and information of the person you want to run the background check on. GoodHire gets back really quickly with the information. I was doing a lot of back-to-back background checks and I had to go through a lot of steps for each one. It was a little redundant. There were a lot of clicks involved and it was time-consuming. We use our background check to process new hires. I searched on the web about the best background check companies for small businesses. After reviewing several sites, GoodHire received high rankings on several different sites that I looked over and that’s why I decided to go with them. Their site is user-friendly. The sign up was via an online application and there was an approval process once I gave them our EIN so they could verify that we were an actual company. Then, it was all set up online. We’d put in the name and email address then GoodHire sends the candidates an email. The candidates fill out all of the demographic information which is used to run the check. It’s nice cause I receive email notifications throughout the process that the candidate filled out the information or if there’s a particular jurisdiction that they think is going to take a few more days for the results to come back then I’ll get a notice on that.
And the employer portal that I use to log in and view the status of everybody’s background checks is really nice. At a glance, it’s easy to see where everybody is at in the process. GoodHire’s system met our expectations fine. Everything has been really great but it would be nice if we have an account rep that we can reach for questions we have. The only thing that’s been a little weird is there have been some counties checked that we’ve never lived in when I had a particular background checking. Then the people themselves went in and put in their identifying information and then a short while later I got a message from GoodHire. A couple of times I got ones that said, “We still need more information from this person," and that they haven’t completed it yet. A few of them did complete the whole thing start to finish and then I got a thing that said, “Okay, your results are in.” We just log on to the website and were able to see very quickly if there were any concerns. It has green check marks and indicates if everything was good.
I got a message that said it needed more information and I asked one of the candidates and she said, “I think I’ve already put everything in.” So I contacted GoodHire and they told me what it was and it was some simple fix. We go in, put in the information and request the potential employee to go in and fill out everything else. GoodHire explained what happens when they ping a name and they have to go and look at it. Most people were fairly quick, but a couple of them took a week, and then they came back anyway. A couple of the managers are a little impatient, but that's them and the system works fine. GoodHire has quickly taken care of everything we contacted them about or explained to us why the situation has taken longer, so everything with them has been good.

GoodHire offered more in-depth searches than what my previous company had. They’re providing the information that I’m looking for at a reasonable cost. However, I was a little disappointed because of the regulations the background searches are able to provide compared to when I just Googled somebody’s name. It’s like you can Google somebody and find out a whole lot more than you can on a background search. Other than that, the reps have been helpful as far as they can be. They can’t always answer my questions, but it’s due to the regulatory nonsense so it’s not really their fault. GoodHire has always been an easy to use background search and it provides adequate information.

We had some employee issues and somebody who works in Human Resource at a different company recommended GoodHire. We didn’t really worry about using a background check service provider before because we're a small company but we got to worry about it now. Its process includes gathering some information and getting the people's permission to run it. We give all the information to GoodHire then they run it for us and send us the information back. It’s a new process every time for me that I have to go to because we don’t hire very often so I do it infrequently. Their reps were just always willing to help and I've been real happy with them.

I had a tough experience with GoodHire doing some hiring processes because it took a long time, but I've seen improvement in them. We have had a group of people hired in the last two weeks through that great response from them. They are getting back to us more quickly with background checks. We got a couple people processed in one week where normally it was taking two or three weeks. Their customer service people, when you get them on the phone, were very patient with you, understanding and very professional. I really like talking to them because it brings that personal touch, and when you're a small business, you need to shine. I've been very pleased with them recently.
There was a little hiccup in the beginning. I've been with them for about two years and the process is really small. During the summer, we had to verify some high school diplomas, but at that time, most high schools are out, so they didn’t have access to people to give them the answer they needed and so they had to take some different avenues which slowed it down a lot. But recently they didn’t have to do the high school thing and they came back in probably about a week, which is outstanding for a company that does background checks. I'd give them 100% on communicating with me. I'm working with them very closely. They're always doing it when it's time to do a problem or an issue and they're to the point. I've always used GoodHire and they’re excellent.

Utilizing GoodHire to run background checks was pretty straightforward. All the information was relatively easy to access and they walked me through the process initially. Background checks are kind of a big pain and no one will enjoy doing them, but GoodHire was fine. It's great for small usage here and there, but it's been a little frustrating if you use it in mass like when you do 20 or 30. That’s the only real disappointment. It's not a good solution for running a whole bunch all at once.

This is our first venture in using a background check service and our experience with GoodHire has been a good one. They are straightforward and I was able to complete everything online without having to jump through too many hoops. I called once to ask about a bulk discount if I needed to do 10 people and if there’s any price advantage for doing those all at once. I don’t think it was any cheaper to do that. They indicated that if I was doing greater quantities of people there would be but 10 was not enough to qualify for anything.
I called another time to check on the validity of driving record checks to confirm if it was 50-state check or not and they tried to answer the best they could. However I felt like there was still a little bit ambiguity because I don’t know if it was a true 50-state check. They told me that GoodHire doesn’t directly go out and check all 50 states. They said that each state is required to report to the other states. So it’s sort of a pass around sort of deal. It was something I really had to study up on to truly understand.
Also if I had four or five people to do at once there’s some duplication to the process to run through. I had to put in each person’s details when I could’ve just done multiple at once but there wasn’t a way for me to do that. I had to individually purchase and then, put in the person’s details and start all over, then purchase another one, put the credit card details and then put in the next person’s details. I hope I could just pay for five upfront then I can use up against that. But it has been easy using it and everything else has been working great.

I’ve only been with the company for about 60 days and it became part of my role as HR to review GoodHire. Typically, we outsource through ADP or another provider that usually handled all of our job postings or requisitions. I’m not used to having to go out of a system that you’re currently working in to access information, log in to a different system and a paid system at that, and the way the information was provided back to you and the timeliness. Usually, it takes between one and three days turnaround period through former sites that I’ve used. It’s a different process, new, very detailed and I like that the historical data is there if you need to access it at a later date. I would utilize it for personal use but not for professional. It’s convenient, especially for a smaller scale business but on a larger scale corporation, not so much.

As soon as they get their reruns through the lab, the turnaround is fast and it's very good. I get the job done in three minutes. What I do is that I get the full legal name of the individual and their email address. I tell that individual to check their email as they're going to get something where they have to submit information, and they usually get that the same day. They provide their Social Security number and within 48 hours I have my report. I get emails saying that they're working on it, and then an email saying that the report is complete so I know when to log on.
The longest I’ve ever waited was a week but that's because it was a state where we had to do an extra cost for that state. It was New York State and we wanted a more in-depth report and then it would run the Counties of New York. Since we're in New Jersey, I wanted to run that report. I called their customer service team about some group pricing. I knew for one of the jobs that we have throughout the life of the project we would be continually doing background checks for every person that went to this particular job site and I was looking for something a little more customized for our needs. They have packages where I could buy 10 background checks upfront and then process them as I need them or I could buy 20 or 30. So far, I've done about 15 for that particular project, but the project will last a couple of years, so we may end up needing background checks for 40 people. I asked them to correct it instead of sending a new one, and they did it right on the spot. Another time, I called because I knew the person on their application had said they had an issue but it did not show up on the background check. GoodHire said it was because the issue was in South Carolina. So far, those are the only two incidents that I've had and both were addressed and explained perfectly. I'm very pleased with GoodHire. I shopped around a little bit and GoodHire seemed to offer a reasonable price. However, I was kind of led to believe at the beginning that I would get a really quick turnaround time in order to get people into the field. When it actually turns out, it took several weeks longer than expected because GoodHire had to call and verify through phone calls. As far as getting approval and the information that we needed, it was out of their control. They did as good an effort as they could have. I also received an email from them saying that they couldn’t get the information requested in a timely fashion because the previous employer required a signed signature form.
With me supplying the information for who I needed to be vetted, they were able to instantly send out the email to those individuals to request permission. So that was pretty convenient. A lot of the people that we dealt with the vetting process needed an actual physical form. That was difficult, but they were proactive in trying to reach out to our potential workforce trying to get physical, written copies. So as far as it goes with the up and up with the services that they’ve given, they did thorough background checks and they gave me any kind of discrepancies with anybody. It was pretty good. Their website is pretty easy to navigate and their billing was reasonable as well. We still do business with them.

One of our old employees switched to GoodHire as a background check service provider shortly before he left and then I continued using it. It's pretty simple to use. All we really do is get the form signed off by the employee. The form details their information and then we enter the information into the website, upload their consent form. Once we get the report back, we provide the prospective new hire with a copy of their report. The system operates good and seamlessly. It usually doesn’t take any more than a day to get the report back so it’s a great process and it has worked out very well for us. We’ve had a better experience with GoodHire and we will continue to use it.

To use GoodHire for background checks, you have to purchase their packages based on credits. It's not a strict dollar amount so you have to figure that out although it was not difficult. You have to purchase credits and then use a certain amount of credits according to the level of background check that you want. But other than that, the website was easy to navigate and the results came back clear and easy to read. They provided me what I needed.
From the volume that I purchased, they gave me an extra credit, which I ran on myself as a self-test but I had two traffic violations that did not appear. I called customer service and the wait was very short. I talked to a real person and he was very helpful. He explained that I used the wrong credits for the wrong package so when he ran it again using the correct package, it came up. So overall, it was a good experience. Besides, I was doing a general background check rather than the MVR and on all of the other background checks, they all came back clear which was good but I also wanted to make sure that I’m not missing anything.

When one of our clients posed their requirement to us, we did an online search to find a supplier that we could get background checks done quickly and into the standards that we were required. We had certain things that needed to be provided but they weren't extravagant. They were pretty standard background check parameters. We had 10 people that we've had to run background checks for and GoodHire has been great. It's been easy, fast, pretty intuitive and streamlined.
The process of putting in a new person and then allowing them to put in all their information to process the background check has been pretty seamless. GoodHire has provided all of what we expected them to deliver and the turnaround time is within a couple of days. Our client has been happy with the results and we haven't had any issues with the reports or any of the parameters that they have available. GoodHire has been a good service to use. We get results in either the same day or the next, so we don't have any issues with waiting. I really like that aspect of it. The systems operations are doing well as far as operations expectations are concerned, so we can get individuals started faster than if it was taking two weeks to get their background then. With GoodHire, I don't have to input that information in. The employees input all their information in so I don't have to double check anything.

Before using GoodHire we had a previous company and that one was better. The previous company's verification was more clear and they reach out to the candidate themselves. With GoodHire there's a discrepancy in the information and it's up to us to find out what the discrepancy is. And sometimes the candidate feedback said that they haven't heard from GoodHire. GoodHire haven't contacted them for the discrepancy until they send it to us and then we ask them.
But it's easier for us to run a background check. The process with GoodHire is that we need to email them and they would get right back to us. After that they would send us the information. But if they can give us access to cancel the background check ourselves or edit our request without sending them emails back and forth and they can get a notification, then that would be easier. GoodHire needs to work on certain things but other than that the company is okay. Customer service was very professional and helpful.

I input the information, send it to the candidates and it pretty much goes from there. The only time I ever had to call them was to check for delays. I was doing some online research regarding some of the better companies to use for very fast and accurate background check results and GoodHire came up. So I did a little bit more research and some reference checking and I liked what I found. I started using them and have been very happy and satisfied ever since. In the past, I used to send in a physical form to a candidate to complete for drugs screening because it was required by state and the background check company that we used to use. By the time I complete the paperwork for the employer and then the employee information, I'd go to the mailbox to physically mail the custodian chain form and it's just too much. But with GoodHire being completely electronic and automating every single aspect of the process, it saves me about 45 minutes which is amazing.
Compared to the other background check companies I've used, GoodHire is very different and customized to my needs. I love the customer service and they answered my questions. Also, the automated approach is what matters to me and the time-saving aspect of it. I can rely on them to do a background check within three to five business days, no matter what. And they give me an update on what's going on that is always bar none. Sometimes I have to leave a message for GoodHire for somebody to get back to me or one of my team members, and that happens very quickly with a good and accurate response. However, the personalization component is missing where you have a dedicated person you go to and you have an account manager that you establish a relationship with.
Otherwise, GoodHire has probably been the easiest process I've ever undergone through, and I've been in human resources for over 13 years now. I've really enjoyed the accuracy, the response rate, and the ability to view reports. I just did training on GoodHire for my team last week and my HR team absolutely loves GoodHire and is looking forward to working with them and recommending them to their network as well.

That definitely exceeded my expectations. Easy, affordable and I would definitely recommend them.
We did have one situation that was a little bit confusing. Amanda called because it had to do with a specific check that we were running, I believe. During that time, they had to ask her questions to confirm that indeed she was with the company. They told her that she could create her own log-in information, and she did, but what they didn’t tell her was that all of the credits that I put on there, she would no longer have access to. It took us a while to figure that out. So when she would log in, she didn’t have any credits on there and no way to do anything. Then she got a hold of me and I looked and of course, there were credits on there.
It wasn’t until another phone call to customer service that we were told that was incorrect. The way the customer service person explained it to her was that when they created her log-in they would link it to mine. I guess the assumption was there that it would be fully functional. So that’s been the only hiccup that we’ve had but other than that everything’s been great.
