I really enjoy my Jitterbug though I don’t use it that much. The only ones who call me on it are my children. I have a home phone and that’s where everybody calls, so I prefer it that way right now. But I use Jitterbug for taking pictures with my grandchild. It’s a little confusing but it’s fair because I don’t know how to really manage it that much.

My wife and daughter-in-law looked Jitterbug up pretty well. They did some research on it and they came up with it as being one of the better buys for me. I haven’t used it an awful lot though. I’m not on Facebook, etc. and I only use it as a phone which I don't have any problems with. However, the 5 button that'll call 911 is too easy to hit. I hit it a lot of times and the cops know where this place is. The first night, they filed out very quickly.

I walked into Best Buy, walked to the counter, and read. I was fishing to get another cell phone, read about Jitterbug Touch, and I said, "You know, that might be just right for me to start off on." Jitterbug's customer service was great and they got the phone altogether and got it up and running fine with no problems. The only problem I’m having is when I get telephone calls and strike my finger across the green to answer, I might have to do it 10 to 12 times before I can get it to answer the phone. Also, the whole display on the phone is a little small for me and I wished it was a little larger.

I bought the Jitterbug phone because the numbers were a little bit bigger and everything was a lot better. I also needed another phone since the one I'm on is mainly for business - I didn't have a private phone. I don't use my Jitterbug phone very much but I want to start using it a little bit more. I'm still learning how to use it because I'm used to the other type. It would take me a little time since I'm like an old dinosaur man - I just pick up the phone and talk. I don't use all these other features. Nevertheless, everything's been okay so far and I'd recommend Jitterbug.

We had phones before but they were too damn complicated. I had to push numbers in. I'm old, got big fingers, and it just didn't work out. My wife came across the Jitterbug Touch phone, saw the one that has a so-called panic button on it, and decided it’s better to have that. I'm happy with it. I can read it and it looks good. Computer-wise, I'm illiterate. There are many different ways in the Jitterbug that we can call and they aren't explained in detail. It's a little confusing sometimes. We use the phone for an emergency or when I'm going away from home. We should get another one and get rid of the land phone because the land phone is something terrible and costly, but then going through changing my numbers all over again is a hassle.
The only thing I don't understand is I don't use my minutes up and I don't get a rollover on them. I also called a friend in Canada and I didn't know it was going to cost me. It turned out charging me extra $12.

I like the emergency information on the Jitterbug. My mom's in her mid 70's and has a little bit of dementia, and she seems to be able to use it easier than the standard phone she had before. Initially, we had a hard time getting it rolling but we were at the store so their team took care of it. I am happy with their service.

I'm very happy with my Jitterbug. So far, I've had a good experience using it and their team is the best I've ever dealt with. I got it because I wanted to swap over my phone number to the phone, and I wanted to make sure I was happy with the phone before I did it. I've had that phone number for 55 years and I want to swap it over so it'll be the only phone I have. Right now, that's in the process. But with the Verizon strike, I don't know if and when it's going to happen.

I saw Jitterbug many times in magazines and thought it would be something that I could understand because I've had a small Verizon phone and I don't know technology enough to get a smartphone, and so my daughter ordered Jitterbug for me online. I called GreatCall and I had a quote from a very nice gentleman, but my daughter found one for me at a better price. When I called back the gentleman and told him my daughter found one, he was very nice. He was glad that I found one. So he was very helpful. The price and the monthly expense with Jitterbug were so much less than what I had been paying at Verizon. I'm still learning, but the phone is simple to use.

I'm trying to learn how to use it and on how to call different numbers, but my hand was injured and I have a very soft touch so it doesn't cooperate with me. Jitterbug Touch is not just a telephone. There are more things to do with it, like getting pictures and texting which I didn't have before. I'm satisfied but still have to get used to how to work it.

I'm still learning my Jitterbug. I like how it locks up when it's not in use, and to start it again, I just push the numbers 1-2-3. I also like how I can put it in my back pocket while it's locked, so it doesn't call people as that can get me in trouble. I'd recommend it to a friend. However, I was surprised with the initial total cost. I feel like the fellow that I was talking to must've put in a lot of other extras that I didn't tell him to. But at any rate, as soon as I find out which of those I'm not using, I'll cut them off.

Every time I get a phone I have trouble learning to operate it. Currently, I'm still having problems with the Jitterbug Touch. I’m not feeling comfortable in knowing what it’s supposed to do. I push a button thinking one thing and the phone thinks something else. I also don’t know what’s free and what isn’t. I don’t explore much with it because they all want a credit card number. The lady I ordered it from gave me too many minutes. I’m not using nearly as that many so I asked them to adjust it down so I won’t be paying for so many minutes that I’m not using. Even though I’m still in touch with everyone, I don’t get as many calls as I used to because I’m not very active right now. I’ve already recommended it to a friend, but she has not had experiences with as many different phones as I have. So I was hoping it would be easy to her.

It's still very new to me and I haven't got on all the things that I can do on it, but so far it's been what I want it to do and it's been very easy. I'm glad I changed phones. I have been recommending Jitterbug.

My husband uses Jitterbug Touch. It is a really good phone and it's all that he needs. He basically uses it to make and take phone calls. Occasionally, he'll read a text message but he's not really very good at it. He never sends a text. If he gets a text, you have to tell him, "Okay, you've got a text. Want me to read it to you?" His need for a phone is when he wants to contact somebody, not so much when somebody wants to contact him because he actually doesn't answer his phone. He puts it in his pocket. But if he's in a problem, away from home, then he uses it to call somebody.
When the Jitterbug Touch first came out, they advertised, "Go to your local Sears or Target store." So I went to both but neither one of them had ever heard of what I was talking about. I was so perturbed since it meant that I had to do everything online. I couldn't see what the phone looks like or hold it in my hand before I did my business online and so I ordered it with great hesitation because it was for my husband, although I really wanted to see it before I ordered it. The thing is, they shouldn't put that in their advertising if it isn't true. Because I'm 75 so when I see that something is at Sears or Target, that's very familiar for me. I feel quite confident in going over to Sears or Target and looking at their stuff because it's not that far and I go there all the time. So when I see that advertised and it turns out not to be that way, it makes me have a little bit less confidence in what I want to buy.
But still, I'll recommend Jitterbug Touch to a friend because it does do what it says it will do. Although I don't think there is enough option in pricing for the services that a person needs. My husband doesn’t need a data plan at all and yet I have to pay right at $50 a month. So it really is not exactly what I had hoped it would be. In a month, I can see how much use he has and I feel like it gouges us. Of course the main reason I got it was so that when the time comes, I can add the medic call but right now, I feel like I'm paying maximum dollars for really very little.

I'm 77 and I couldn't hear too well, and I purchased a Jitterbug Touch because I could hear better on it and it's much easier to use than my previous cellphone. I never started using my Jitterbug until six weeks later and I didn't even know if it was in service yet, but they charged me for two months so I spoke to their customer service and they took that off. I don't carry my Jitterbug Touch with me all the time because my husband has a phone with Bluetooth for use in a vehicle and we figured we wouldn't be able to program both of them in the car when we travel and I still have to learn how to text using it, but I like it because it's much simpler.

I am alone and I do drive alone a lot. If things happened, I wouldn't have any way of getting in touch with anyone so I decided that I really should have a smartphone. Jitterbug Touch is my first cellphone and I got it more on safety however, I haven't used it yet but I suspect I will because I do like to take pictures. At this point, I don't have any special interest of it beyond the safety benefit and that I can call anywhere in the United States as I have no family here in Indiana and so all of my phone calls are long distance. I haven't had time to sit down and really figure out how to use it. Someone contacted me and walked me through it. I read the information after that but I have been so caught up in other things that I have not done anything with it. I'm going to have to reread it again. Overall, it's interesting and exciting, and the fact that I can take photos with it.

I like the Jitterbug Touch and there's a lot more uses for it compared to the service with my flip phone. I now send text messages on it that I didn't do before on my flip phone. However, every once in awhile the phone seems to go into a mode where it's all scrambled up and I get a buzz all across the face of it, so I have to turn the phone off and start all over again. However, I’m about ready to send it back because I can’t figure it out. I’ve seen it used by people who know what they’re doing. I’ve had phones at different times before. I had an iPhone once and I didn’t want it. I got a little fold up phone that I thought would be easy to use, but it wasn’t for me. I decided to go with Jitterbug and I’m happy with it. I read about it in an AARP Magazine. I wanted something that didn’t cost too much, because I don’t use it that much, and something that was reliable, which it is. I’m pleased with it. It's easy to use. I have it for when I’m out driving in case I have a flat tire. I don’t do much of anything except call and talk to people on the phone. That's not very often too.
I like that when I turn the phone on, all the things that I might want to use come up on the left side. They’re easy to get and I don’t have to go fumbling around, deciding whether I have to poke this or that. I want it real simple and a phone that's for what I use it for. I recommended Jitterbug to a friend and she's thinking about it. I showed it to her and she also liked that the things to be used are right there.

The phone I had before was a flip phone. I was with Verizon and I had no internet because I wasn’t using it. It was costing me $54 a month. When I texted, I had to pay extra for it. I wanted a phone I could call with in and out on. I saw the Jitterbug ad and they said it would be less than $30. I’d have internet, texting and all other stuff that I really didn’t care about. That’d be half of what I’m paying. If I do text, even at 10 cents a text, I’d have to text an awful lot to get to $54. I text maybe two or three times a month. So it was a no-brainer. I got on the Jitterbug phone with a guy who was very nice, knowledgeable and patient with me. He told me about their flip phone and the other one which wasn't.
I went with the Jitterbug Touch. It sounded like a good idea for me. I had to pay for the phone itself, but it had everything. It’s red, which is very important to me. I love red. It came with a surrounding cover that’s rubbery. I dropped it several times and it just bounced and didn't break. I’ve had it for quite a while now. I use it more and enjoy it. My husband doesn’t tease me about having a phone that's not a "real" one anymore. I’ve not been unhappy one moment. It was a good investment. One of the things I like is I can check my email on it. If I’m waiting for something or something comes in on the email like having another Starbucks reward, I know it’s there. I don’t always have my phone on me but when I use it I do check it. I always take it with me when I go someplace. That way I feel better and a lot more secure. If I’m out someplace and I need to call my husband because I need something, then I’ve got it.
I had to call the Jitterbug customer service to find out how to get something set up on my phone. The young lady I talked to was very nice and very knowledgeable. She was able to do what I needed right away and helped me with it. One of the nice things is I didn’t feel like an idiot. I appreciated that. We weren’t raised with the technology like the young people were. It takes time and patience for us. Jitterbug seems to be a very good company to work with. They train their employees to be customer service oriented which a lot of companies aren’t.

I got a Samsung Galaxy before and had it for a couple of days and realized it wasn't the phone for me. I waited a while then decided to get a Jitterbug, mainly on the fact that it was easy. I also bought it because all my kids text and they said that if I wanted to keep up with them, I had to use the phone. Also, I got it as it was supposed to be for seniors. I'm in my seventies and I'm not technically inclined so this stuff is new to me. I've called quite a bit using the phone but I have had many problems with it. I've tried reading the manual and found out some stuff. But it's not been an easy thing for me and I knew it wouldn't be. There are so many factors to it that I don't even know. Some of the icons aren't covered in the manual so I don't know what they're for. If ever I learn how to use it, it'll be fine.
I got a big loud noise on it as well and it turned out it was the Amber alert. Then it wanted to know if I wanted to keep it and I didn't answer it because I didn't know. It disappeared off the screen after a while and it’s now on my list of texting. And there’s one called anonymous and I don’t know how that happened. I have the weirdest things happen. But I love sending and receiving pictures using the phone. I can't do that now though because my data's shut off until next month. I'm not connected to Wi-Fi that's why my data usage got used up so quickly. So I can't do quite a few things with the phone. I called Jitterbug and one guy had me go through so many things to turn off my data so that I'm not going to have a huge bill and they told me that I needed to call my internet carrier. I still need to learn how to use it all and I never did any texts in it and email but I’m glad to get my email and whatnot. It’s a great thing especially for the medical alert when I had to pick up. I didn't use the other phone and I could have gotten all that stuff on it but I didn’t use it. I just used it when I needed to like when I went out. But it didn’t have much on it as the Jitterbug phone does.
I called the Jitterbug Touch customer service team once and it’s okay but I haven’t had the service. Still the representative explained well to me all services that it used to be but I’m 82 years old and even if I tell people I don’t have all those problems, but I have sometimes. I had a little experience last night but I worked it out after I touched this and that on the phone and I probably got it back to working. I love how it clears and when I swipe down with all the information that’s being put on the phone, I have to clear it out because the battery goes and that’s what I was concerned about. The battery goes down even if I don’t use it but they say it’s because of the app and stuff on it. I really like and enjoy the Jitterbug phone. It’s the first time I enjoyed and I would recommend it. My experience with Jitterbug has been a blessing. I used to have another cell phone but I like the Jitterbug Touch better. I find it easier to use and it has more options on it. I decided to purchase from them because of the 5* service. The biggest change for me is the security of knowing that I can call the 5* if I need to. Now, I take my phone everywhere, whereas I didn't before. My only quarrel with the service is I tend to pocket call them a lot. I don't know how this happens but it seems to dial itself fairly often, maybe once every two weeks. I wish the phone was configured so that it didn't do that so much. The Jitterbug representatives have been wonderful. They were very friendly and very helpful, wanting to do something for me even though I'm just talking to them to say, "Listen, that was a mistake."

Jitterbug Touch has an incredible customer service team. They're never in a hurry and I'm always apologizing because it's taking me so much time because I don't always understand everything. On two occasions, I've had to reprogram my phone and they have been wonderful about it. Also, I was amazed with the service department and the fact that I don't have to dial it. I pull it up on my phone.
However, I've had a lot of problems with the phone. I've had to call twice for help. It's frustrating because I’ve even asked my tech sons to help me with it and they say this phone is complicated, but I still do like it. I got the Jitterbug Touch because of the emergency button although it doesn't make that much sense because I don't always have it with me. I don't use my cellphone that much and I just have it for emergency when I'm out and gone and I drive up to the country. But it's just good to have it. I would recommend them to a friend and also to someone who is a little more adept using a phone than I am.

When I bought a Jitterbug, what I was looking for was what they have in the picture which was a flip top type phone. That’s what I thought I was getting but that’s not what I got. I got the regular smartphone. It’s impossible to text because the keys are small and then I turn it vertically but it doesn’t go vertically. I’m extremely disappointed in it. It’s not what I ordered. They sent me the wrong phone and I’m not happy with them. I had AT&T before and their service was good but it was a little expensive. I had it for years. If Jitterbug would give me the phone that I want, I’d be really happy because I don’t really want to text and have to do all the other stuff on it. I’m really not into that. I just want the basic phone that they had in their ads.

It's much easier to learn how to use it than the one I had before which drove me crazy. It was frustrating. But with Jitterbug, I can deal with it and it doesn’t make me want to throw it away. I appreciate having it although I haven’t learned as much as I should have from it. I could study more about the phone and learn how to use it better but I’m able to use it just as it is, which is amazing to me because I’m not real quick on the uptake of things like that. The other one I had before, I just open it and use as a telephone.
I like the phone and I’ve got no problem with it. I know how to take pictures and use it though I don’t do it like everybody who always grab their phone to look up on something as I haven’t found out how to get into that, but somebody’s gonna teach me. I’m legally blind so I have to be very careful in pushing the buttons because I got myself in trouble by hitting the wrong one then I tried to get out of it. Then I carry it mainly if I need to call my cab. I only have it for emergency. I also like their setup where they have the different things like the camera and phone in the menu. I'd just push the little button to the left and it comes right in nice and clear. It’s a little getting used to ‘cause it’s new to me. I have a couple of things that I got to be sure that I have them on the phone. And then if I don’t, I have them take it off like bills. It's wonderful for somebody that really uses a cell phone and knows how to go right in and set up.

My husband had a stroke and he hardly ever uses his Jitterbug, it's just there for emergency and it makes him feel good to have a phone that will work so that he can get a hold of me. He does have it connected to a Bluetooth which is connected to his hearing aids. We got Jitterbug for him because I thought it was easier for him, especially the touch part. He's actually gone through a couple of different phones and they weren't right for him because he had to do too much to get it to work but with Jitterbug, we definitely found the right one. We would definitely recommend Jitterbug to others.

I liked everything about Jitterbug Touch and I'm so thankful for them. I feel safer and I'm able to communicate better with my friends. They've also got the medical alert and I'm very happy with it. One morning, I was out walking my dog and accidentally pressed the emergency 911 button, and a split second after, somebody was on the phone with me, and it was very cool.
In all of the phones that I had before, the numbers were so small. And because I have osteoarthritis in my hands, it's very hard for me to touch the phone in the right spot and do the numbers. So I was very attracted to the bigger panel of the Jitterbug Touch phone, and their stylus is wonderful. I had a cell phone from AT&T before using Jitterbug Touch, and when you opened it up, it was small and very hard for me to use. So I never texted before because I couldn't get the buttons right.
But now, with the Jitterbug Touch phone and stylus, I could do it. So I've had to pay for extra minutes because I've been texting too much. All my friends text like crazy! All they want to do is text, and not talk on the phone. The Jitterbug Touch rep called me up and said, "You are way over in your data. So, let me tell you what things I could do for you and where it would put you cost-wise." I'm retired after 36 years of teaching and living on my pension, so I have to be careful with my finances.
Although I'm 63 years old and not that good with computers, I can understand how to use the Jitterbug Touch phone. It's easy for me to input my contacts and I can have all that stored in there, and this has come in handy for me. The Jitterbug Touch phone is from the WOW company too. I ended up getting the WOW computer which was designed for older people, and I'm now able to get on the computer and do all sorts of things because I can just touch and I don't have to do so much keyboarding.

Jitterbug Touch was a gift from my husband for Christmas, so he was the one that did the buying. I love it and they’re easy to work with and awesome. I used another cell phone and the other provider, when I'd call for questions, were very rude, and these guys are not like that. They answered every question, were very polite and informative. And now I have learned to text and I like it. The phone has bigger buttons and they have a calendar that I put my appointments on.

I've had several cellphones but I didn't like the last one I got because it's so tiny that I can't tell nothing about the pictures that they sent me. So, I decided I wanted a smartphone and purchased the Jitterbug Touch. I love the phone and I can hear on it good, but I don't know how to put my number in there or whatever you put in there to get it.

I don't use much my Jitterbug Touch and I'm thinking about canceling it. I'm a 73-year-old woman and I hate technology. This phone is not as easy to use as my regular flip phone. While it's much easier to text using the Jitterbug, it takes more steps to do everything like deleting things. It's not convenient. I'm trying to force myself with this phone.

My wife has her Jitterbug Touch and it’s working great. It is easy to operate compared to the one she had before, which was too complex. Jitterbug Touch is designed for seniors, which we are. It doesn't have a whole lot of features and the choices on the main screen are easy to understand.

I wanted just a basic phone with no fancy stuff but with big numbers and something that would speak loud enough for my husband. I got Jitterbug and we like the way it operates, it works very well and we're pleased with it. Their customer service representatives were excellent every time I've had to call, too. I'm very well satisfied.

Jitterbug Touch has done pretty well for being a first of that type of a phone for my husband. We needed something that was able to take pictures because he wanted to have pictures on his phone. But my husband is not ready for a regular smartphone so keeping it simple and readable was a major criteria. The last phone he had was a flip phone but Jitterbug is a little bit easier for him because the display's bigger. It has helped my husband stay more in touch because he gets texts and photographs of family members.

When Jitterbug came out with the smartphone, I decided to get it and eased my way into smartphones because I have some experience in technology but I didn’t want to go into iPhones. They cost so much and have so many plans that I don’t need. I had an AT&T GoPhone before. As far as the service, both phones are equal. I wanted to be able to text more easily which I could do on my GoPhone but I didn’t need any more minutes. I would like a few applications and GoPhone didn’t have that so I got the Jitterbug Touch.
I tried to register online and that wasn’t satisfactory because the prices were different. When I called, the rep was very nice and adjusted the price. If I had done it online, I would have paid a lot more. The Jitterbug Touch is colorful and fun. I feel like I’ve entered the 21st century. My kids like it that I have a smartphone because there are certain features that they are able to reach me better. I’ve been happy and satisfied.

Jitterbug had a phone with preset buttons and I liked that idea. I’ve mastered everything except the email portion, and overall I love the Jitterbug Touch. But since the phone is a little small, I’m always dropping it or the buttons are not quite as big as I want them to be, so I’m going to see if they have a larger basic phone. I was with Verizon for 25 years and the basic plan that I had with them has 250 minutes for $25. But with Jitterbug, even with my taxes and fees, I’m still under $25.
I once called customer service because it took about a week to get my phone turned on from Verizon to Jitterbug. At that point, I had no cell phone at all so that was aggravating. It made me not even want to venture out anywhere without the benefit of a cell phone. It finally came through between Verizon releasing my number and getting it ported to Jitterbug. Once they turned on the phone, it did some code and it has worked ever since. I’m telling everybody about Jitterbug.

My Jitterbug Touch phone is 100% better than my old cell phone. It's easy for me to get with my kids because I can text them now. The only thing that bothers me with the phone is every now and then it goes on by itself, which I can't figure out why. We turned it off to save the power and all of a sudden we'll hear it ring. It's there but there's no text, call, or anything. It's a little unnerving when it happens at two or three o’clock in the morning, so we just turn it completely off at night and don’t use it at all. But as a whole, I’d recommend them to anybody.

I had a flip phone before and would like to change it. The rate of Jitterbug Touch is better than AT&T. I get more services and hadn't had any dropped calls. In their flat rate, they offered text messaging, which I didn't have with AT&T. I was being charged $0.20 per message. So, my experience with Jitterbug has been wonderful. I've also downloaded a pedometer app. I walk everyday so I use the app for recording. Any chance I had with their customer service team has been fine. They've gone out of the way to resolve any issues that I had.

I liked Jitterbug for my husband for it was a good product for his age level. But when I found about Jitterbug Touch, I thought it was better because it gave him access to internet. When I was setting up the phone for him, I wasn't sure whether it had connected or not so I called the 800 phone number and talked to the lady about checking to make sure it's connected, and she was very friendly. My husband only have the Jitterbug Touch since Christmas and he likes it better than his old flip top phone, but he has not used it to its full potential. They were about ready to close down when I got in the store to get my Jitterbug. The salesgirls were so rude without any provocation. A few days later they shut down so they knew. They didn’t care what they said. It was bad but the phone is perfectly fine. It’s just an extra phone in this family in case my husband and I go somewhere where we might get separated. However, I was thinking about getting a $10/month phone because I’m paying $34/month and we barely ever use it. It's a nice phone, but I've just been getting tired of paying.

I appreciate too that they have people to speak to and that's the main reason I chose them. There is just one thing that bothers me a lot. I have an unlimited text and talk, but I have limited data. I went months without using it all and I believed that should carry over. If we pay for 100 megabyte, we should be able to use the data whenever we want to. I like my Jitterbug Touch. I already know the basics like how to use the camera, the phone and voicemail but in time I'll learn more about it. I haven't had much time to really sit and play with it like I want to. Before I had it, I'm not tech savvy at all and all I wanted was something really basic so I was going to get the cheap one. But I saw my sister-in-law has the smartphone and she's always on it doing games, etc. I saw a guy using a smartphone at Walgreens and he pulled out something that I needed to know with Google and that's when I thought maybe I should go a step up when I do get one. I kept going back to the website and learning more about it and finally got the phone through my husband who gave it to me as a Christmas present.
Right now I'm trying to find a case, the kind that protects the outside borders which I can still hold and use. I've gone to all the stores but none of them has it. I'm not comfortable putting a credit card on the computer but I may have to break down and do that. Since I got my Jitterbug Touch I'm using it a lot more than my other phone. We're also considering getting my husband's parents the cheap ones for the star app. I'm not using that right now. I'm a five time cancer survivor so I realize how important that medical alert is on there. But right now we're paying medical bills so I have to scrimp when I can. We don't have that feature yet but down the road we probably will.

I love the Jitterbug Touch. It's much more modern-day than my old phone which wasn't even a flip phone. I look at the emails I get every day and I get some texts. Maneuvering back and forth is easy. It's hard to get used to the drop down menus and when to use them but I guess if I studied the instruction book a little bit more, it would be good. I'm extremely pleased with our customer service. Every time I called trying to get answers to certain questions I had, they were most gracious and quick and it was an enjoyable experience, as opposed to other customer service. Very satisfying.

However, I have a lot of questions as to its usage and the manual that comes with it does not always answer my questions. I need to contact someone that can personally walk me through it but they are just open for that service during business hours and that's difficult because I'm a night person. If I took more initiative in finding out the various ways that I would benefit from the technology, I would be far ahead of the game.

I haven't spoken with the customer service but I'll probably do something in the next few weeks because I don't want to keep paying my bill while I'm not using it.
Wanda, You may want to look at buying a stylus for your phone. Jitterbug is my first smartphone and I'm happy with it. My kids say “Oh you have to get an iPhone6. That’s the only way to go.” I was born in ’43, now 73 years old, so it was a bit terrifying to get started with a smartphone. But it’s been very easy learning how to use it. Their service is great. There was a time when I don’t know what happened to my phone. All of a sudden it was on airplane mode. I looked at the little book and I could not find how to get it out of that setting and I was unable to send text messages. So I called and I didn’t have to wait for the call from them because immediately they told me how to do it. Now, I wrote it down and I have it for next time if it happens again. The people from Jitterbug Touch were excellent. I never got the same response with Verizon which I had for twenty years.
I do live in town and I do not know how the reception would be if I were up in the mountains. I have not experienced it yet but we do have my husband’s phone is a Verizon and if we are in the mountains, the reception is not good for me so I can’t use his phone. Overall, it’s been very good so far. I would recommend Jitterbug Touch to an old friend like me. I think there are a lot of older people who would benefit from having a smartphone but they are afraid to do it. With a little booklet that it comes with, it’s not hard to learn how to use it.

The man that I talked to that sold me the phone was great. I want the Jitterbug so I could talk to my sons by way of email over the phone and do pictures. They are in the military so they're everywhere all over the world.
I was very happy with the phone from November until beginning of February when I couldn't send or get into the pictures unless I signed up for Google. I didn't want to do that because I'm not interested in any of that. But the only way that I could access my pictures was to sign up for it so I had to go through the whole process of passwords and stuff. And now, I have a Gmail which I don't even know what to do with because I'm not even going to use it. I was mad about it. So I'm waiting for my next bill to see if I'm going to be charged for this new thing. I am very satisfied with the smartphone and the service that I receive, except for the fact that I was pressured to sign in on Google. I would recommend Jitterbug Touch.

The problems that I find with the phone are a pain in the neck. I go on it and have the phone history up. But if I want to get to something else, it's not that easy. I almost wish there was an old fashioned radio dial there that I could turn around. If they could put out a DVD on how to use it, that would be good and interesting. But overall, it was a pleasant experience. The phone does things my other phone never did. However, I wish the volume on the phones could be a little louder. When I set it on alarm which I tried a couple of times, I slept right through it because I can't hear it.

I also like their emergency thing. However, I'd like to have a phone that has an easy texting on it. I'm 81 and I haven't grown up with computers. My daughter made me get this cellphone. I had an Apple 6 before and this isn't far off but I couldn't deal with it. And before that, I had a regular LG fold-over phone.
Their customer service representatives have been wonderful. I've talked to them twice: once to give the emergency number of my daughter here. And the other one, to see if they have a more simple, fold-over Jitterbug that I could text on. I am not texting right now because I'm not comfortable with my phone, how to even answer the phone practically. But overall, I'm satisfied. The people I talk to are lovely and the price is right -- it's half the money I was spending on the iPhone. I really don't know how it works yet and I haven't sat down with the manual but the phone itself is wonderful. Instead of the whole screen freezing, now only a quarter of the screen freezes. Overall, it's always been a wonderful experience - very positive and helpful. I have recommended Jitterbug to friends.

I had a flip-type phone before and it never did a pocket call because I had to flip it open to use it and whats bothering me was my Jitterbug phone called the police a couple of times while it was in my pocket and I don’t know how it did it. It must have rubbed around on something on my pocket, but that was kind of shocking. It seems like it’d be kind of hard for it to come on since I have to press three numbers first to get it to do that. But that’s about the only constraint I’ve had with my Jitterbug.

I don't really like Jitterbug because I'm a computer illiterate and I don't use one that much so I decided it might be pricier than what I want to pay.

I bought my Jitterbug Touch at Best Buy and the rep set it up and activated it for me. I'm still trying to learn how to use it and haven't set it up to do all the capabilities it has. I used to have a regular cell phone and thought it would be nice to have a modern phone that does all these things like receiving emails. It is a bit less expensive and I like that the minutes are rolling for a month because I don't use it very much, but I don't want to lose them. I usually don’t take the phone with me unless I might need to call somebody. I don’t want that phone ringing when I’m driving or be bothered if I’m out shopping.

I've had a no-contract, no fee type of phone but Jitterbug is superior and better. Although since I'm a senior, it takes me a long time to get used to it, and I use it sparingly.

We feel comfortable with Jitterbug. We have a means to stay in touch when we are away from home. We haven’t used it much as it’ll take some time for us to acquire sufficient numbers and people that we deal with. It's been good.

My husband was looking on a magazine that advertised Jitterbug. We got one for him and he liked it a lot. I wanted a smartphone and noticed they had a smartphone but I'm not awfully smart on the smartphone. I had a regular old phone from Verizon before using Jitterbug. I loved it for it was very easy to use but my husband's Jitterbug was easier to use. I just don't know how to go on after I pull up a number and want to add it. I don't get very many calls with it. I don't know if my kids just rather use the house phone because they know I'll answer it because I don't pack it around my pocket like a lot of people do with their phones. If it's where I can hear it, I'd get it. But it's a good little phone and I'll stick with it.

I carry the Jitterbug Touch with me when I leave the house. The phone has been outstanding. It's easy for me to use and understand once I've figured out how everything works. The little bit I have used of the service has been good. I've tried it in several towns around here from where I live and it seems to work. Customer service has been outstanding. I've had a couple of questions and problems and called them up. They walked me right through them and I got the results I was looking for. The major problem I had was getting unsolicited phone calls from telemarketers that I did not know and haven't had any contact with before. All I use my phone is to call family and friends, so something is going on.

I'm happy with the Jitterbug phone but it's daunting and I haven't learned how to do a lot of things with it. I'm computer and tech illiterate, to say the least. I'm going to be 76 and didn't have a need for it at the time. Now I want it and it's hard to learn. But I like the phone and looks like when I finally do get to concentrate, I will enjoy it a lot. For now, I am able to make calls and get voicemails with it. Before this Jitterbug, I used a flip phone and I can see that this has a lot more options than that.

My sister and brother-in-law told me about Jitterbug, and they are the ones who asked me to get it. I just purchased it, didn't have it programmed, and don’t use it, but I would recommend it.

Compared to my old phone, the Jitterbug is a lot more procedural. It's a lot easier to adjust to and learn from. I'm not left in the great frontier about trying to find where to go next and how to do it because I'm really not a tech guy. I also found that the customer service of Jitterbug, the GreatCall, is excellent during the setup. There's a lot of support and I feel a lot more confident for the first time. I've populated the people section of it so I have a lot of information at my disposal. But as far as the usage itself is concerned, I don't use it too much for anything other than making and receiving a call. Occasionally I'll take photos and text but not to any great extent.
We visited family a few months ago and it was so easy learning how to take the pictures with Jitterbug, especially to take the video which was very important to me. It was basically an organic procedure. Functionality was very easy for me to adapt to. It's somewhat empowering to make me be able to feel secure and take control of situations regarding the use of the phone or with outgoing and incoming. That's given me a little bit of peace of mind that I didn't have before. It's a lot less frustrating.

My son, who's knowledgeable on the Jitterbug Touch phone, got it for me. When I had it about two months ago, I made a check that same day and put it out for the US Mail, but they did not pick it up. So I took the check, put in on the dashboard in my car, and plain forgot about it. When I got the second payment, I went out and found it. So I called the number they gave me right away and I couldn't tell if the one I spoke to was Mexican or African but I could not explain to him what happened. He couldn't understand me and I had a hard time understanding him. So, I just combined the two payments and sent a check in with a note.
We had a regular, plain, basic cellphone before. But with the Jitterbug Touch, it has so many features that by the time I had read three pages in the instruction book, I had forgotten what I read. When you're going on 83, you can't remember these stuff. I don't need all the features that's on there. All I do is make a phone call and receive a phone call. I've had nothing but trouble with the phone. I'm very unhappy with it, but it's my fault, not the phone's fault.

I used Verizon before I got Jitterbug and they're about the same. I like Verizon better but it's an old Verizon. They don't even make them anymore and I lost it so I decided to try Jitterbug. Also, now it's faster because I just push the button and I'm getting used to it. And right now I've settled in on using it as my backup cellphone when I go out. Their customer service team was also very nice and helpful. I'd recommend it to older people. It's not for young people because my kids looked at me like I had two heads.

I bought Jitterbug Touch because I was researching for an app called AliveCor which is a mobile ECG application, where you can take an electrocardiogram on your smartphone. Only certain smartphones are compatible with the application. One is the iPhone, another is the Jitterbug. There may be a couple of others but when I did the research, I came up with several that I thought were candidates. The Jitterbug was the most cost-effective for me.
The phone works well, especially for what I purchased it for. I like its layout and that I can use either their special menu or I can turn it into a regular smartphone menu with smaller icons. It does exactly what I wanted it to do. Up until this Jitterbug application, I’ve not used other cellphones for much other than my basic phone calls. I'm satisfied with the experience with Jitterbug. A couple of times I've had to call Jitterbug Touch customer service team and they've been very helpful too.

I had a phone and I wasn't satisfied with it so I told my son I wanted another one. We saw an ad in the paper for Jitterbug so that's how I bought it. This phone has more to it than the other. The other one had very few things, just for making phone calls. It doesn't have the weather and all the other things that they have here. I use the little device that they gave, like a pen to punch on the screen and I find it better than using my fingers. That makes it easier to get the phone call through.
I'm supposed to be allowed 200 calls and they send me bills where they keep raising the rates which I don't understand why they're raising it when I should be getting only one rate. I also feel that I'm not getting enough use out of it because I don't understand it with a lot of other different things going on. My son doesn't always have to come over and show me what to do here and there, so I'm trying to figure it out by myself. I have a landline and I like that better, and so I don't use it too often. It's only for when I go out, I take the phone with me. But it's better than the last one I had.
