    I had put down wood floors in my house, which is also on my steps. Although I'm still good on my feet, I was afraid of falling down the steps. I also don't wanna put carpet on the steps.     I live alone and I'm aging and not as agile as I used to be. I've seen ADT for years. I had a different one and something guided me to ADT, which is a better service and a better buy. I decided to switch and I'm really happy with it even though there are others that might be a little bit cheaper. I've managed to set it off every once in a while accidentally. I've stepped on it. They were very fast, efficient, and very concerned, which I like. It's been very reliable. If I fall or have some medical emergency, I'm aware that I have this hanging around my neck, or it's in my pocket if I'm outside. It's a very comforting thing to have. I'm walking my dog at night. So, when emergency comes along, I can always push that button and it makes a lot of noise.

    I've known that ADT Medical Alert is a good and reliable company. They're always very helpful and friendly. We got a call last week that the device needed to be charged. It was half-uncharged. They suggested that we get it on the charger. They said, “Don't overcharge it. It isn't good for the battery.” So, we do it eight hours every night. It tests out very well. I won't leave the house unless there's someone here with my husband. And even with that, knowing that he has the device on in case something happens to him, I'll be notified immediately. It has made us both feel more safe. It has made a big difference in our life, and I hope anybody else would use it too.

    The device is working fine. I made it shorter and shorter because when I lean over or if I drop it on the floor, they call me. About two weeks ago, I took a shower and I had it on the toilet seat. It fell on the floor when I was drying. They always call me first if I don't push the button until it turns green. But at that time, I got a call and they said the rescue is on the way. ADT also called my daughter in Indiana and my son. Then when I went out, the rescue truck was coming, and three guys were coming to me. I said, "I'm fine. I just dropped it."

    They always would call me before if I dropped it. I tried pushing on the button that came with it. I didn't have it on at that time. When I picked it up and I saw it was blinking, I pushed the button trying to turn it to green. So, I don't know why somebody goofed up and they didn't call me first to see if I was okay. Overall, it makes you feel more secure to know that it'll go off if somebody tries to get in. I also have the thing I wear around my neck. Then there's another thing that is bigger. I don't wear both of them. It's just too much. But when I take a shower, I put both of those remote things on the thing. So, if I fall, I can push them. It makes me feel more secure.

    ADT is half the price of Life Alert and while I've had several problems with the batteries, ADT seems to be reliable. My experience with their team is sometimes good, but sometimes it's not so good. They're not too quick in answering the telephone, and sometimes, I get the wrong information depending on who I'm talking to. I have to call back, speak to someone else and make sure I get the right information. I'm a widow, and living alone, there's no one here if I fall. I used the device once and the response was okay.

    I would recommend ADT Medical Alert. I test the device once a month and press the button. They answer. I tell them, “It's just a test.” The first thing they ask is, “Are you okay?” The wrist bracelet is awkward. I wear the arm bracelet. I have to constantly remember to bring the monitor with me when I go out the door. Also, I get phone calls when the monitor battery is low, because sometimes I leave it in my purse and the battery dies. They let me know to put it back on the charger.

    I like knowing that I have this medical alert device next to me, so if something does come up, I can just push the button. Another thing that I like about it is that I can talk directly through the device. I don't have to have a phone to call. I had one other device that I could push the button, but I had to have a phone to communicate with. I'm very satisfied with ADT. I have a little portable bag that I put the device in, and I have it sitting next to my Kindle that I'm reading. If I go downstairs to do laundry, I just put it in my pocket. I have a pendant that I can wear around my neck, but I got a situation that I can't have anything around my neck, not even a collar of a shirt.

    I would recommend the medical alert to anybody that lives by themselves, especially if they have a hard time walking or with their balance. I wear my device when I'm home by myself. I'm usually by myself anywhere from 8 to 10 hours a day, and sometimes at night. I have the watch where you wear it on your wrist. I like it. It gives you a sense of security. We ran into a problem with charging because it requires daily switching of the charger, and I tried to explain to them, "This isn't working."     Updated on 09/27/2024: Since my prior review of this company and several more interactions with people that have 'titles' this situation has gotten worse.. Titles mean nothing if the person does nothing.. I keep getting passed around from person to person and all of them keep asking the same questions so I've just been copying and pasting my responses from prior emails, might have well save my typing..

    This entire thing is a scam and in the meantime I'm the one paying interest on those debits they have charged to my credit card, and my blood pressure is skyrocketing.. This is a scam against the most vulnerable ie: the elderly and I am one.. They are all trying to drive me to the grave.. They can't even figure out how to send me a postage paid return label so I can return their product which does not work and I remain unprotected for falls which was the idea behind this product.. They will charge me $ 250.00 for the product if it's not returned.. They are just stalling now so that another month and another charge will be processed... SCAM

    Original Review: The absolute worse ever for the senior fall notification system. They lie and pass you on from person to person and no one tells the truth about anything. They charged me $ 235.00 + and no matter how hard I try not only can I not get a refund for my CANCELED program but they lie lie lie about sending me a postage paid return label. This has been going on since 8/20/24. Imagine if I was really using their fall detection system & fell how long would I have to wait for a response? A scam, well trained CS reps push the scam.     Everything's gone well with ADT. When my husband has pushed the button, they have immediately contacted me. Most of the time, I'm in the house and I can hear the alarm go off. One time, he fell in the bedroom and the machine notified me. I heard the buzzer go off. I can be outside on the patio and still hear it. With ADT, my husband feels more secure that somebody's gonna hear if he falls or if he needs help. Also, I don't have to worry and keep an eye on him 24/7.     I had a fall and it was because of passing out. My daughter said, "Mom, we gotta get some program where you can notify in case of emergency." Someone gave me the ADT number. We got it and it makes me feel a lot more secure. I am alone. It helps me to stay by myself, be more independent and not worried all the time that maybe I shouldn't go do that, I might pass out.     The green lights that show the bars keep turning to blue. I've had it reset several times. ADT Medical Alert would always fix it and it would be fine, but it would go back. So, I have this unit up against a white wall and the blue and green would flash in the room all day. It's aggravating. I don't wanna have to keep calling. But I like the security of knowing it's there if I need it. However I have a large wrist, so the watch barely fits. All that vinyl or plastic makes it a little sweaty. I don't really care for it.

    I've had good luck with the representatives at ADT. I stopped by the site when the battery went dead and they replaced it. The device makes me think more as to what I'm doing as I'm doing it. If I'm going down steps, I'm grabbing my handrail right away. On Labor Day weekend, we were playing frisbee out in the yard and when I took a tumble, it went off off. But I took a tumble six months ago in my backyard, and it did not go off. It went off when I was in the shower from the water hitting it. It went off the other day when I was out mowing my yard. They interrupted me while I was mowing to make a phone call. I didn't even know my unit had gone off. It's not loud enough, or it should emit a vibration also. I've worn it to bed, and I've been interrupted two minutes after 1:00 in the morning with a phone call from them. They were telling me the system was going off and asking me if I was okay. I was lying on top of it and didn't even hear it.

    It says in the brochure that it is not 100% guaranteed that it's gonna work but I'm dissatisfied with the fact that it didn't go off when it should have and it goes off when I don't even know it. Also, the sending unit that I normally carry with me is not acceptable to USB charging. I can't go camping and plug it into my vehicle to charge it. I have to camp and rely on my kids to tell them that my battery is gonna show dead. It shouldn't be that way. I should be able to take that and plug it into my vehicle at any given time and place.

    My ADT alert device makes me feel comfortable in case I needed someone. I've had other people tell me that they had a much larger device, but mine's small. I make sure that I have it on my night stand at night and I have it where I can have access to it during the day. I don't wear it that much. I'm always afraid that I might accidentally mash the button and call when I don't really need anybody. On the first of every month, I test it. I get a yellow light on my little station that says that it needs to be tested. I bring my little device where it's by the phone. I mash the little button like if I needed help then the operator answers and I tell them that I'm just doing a test.

    I fall easily and I had an alert system that wasn't working for me at all. So I called ADT and asked them a few questions. They answered them and I liked their answers. So I ordered their system, set it up, and they cut off the other one. So far, I've only had one problem the whole time I've had it and ADT let my emergency contact know that they answered the call from me. But at the time, they couldn't hear me and instead of just saying they couldn't hear me, they told my emergency contact, my granddaughter, that I was unresponsive. My granddaughter took that to mean I was dead. She lives further from the hospital than I did and she beat the ambulance to the hospital. So, I told ADT that from now on, even if they can't hear me or they think I'm dead, they should just to tell her they can't hear what I'm saying.

    We have ADT security system for the house and I became interested in their medical alert when I had a bad fall on my patio. I've used it several times, and it's been great. I was on my steps in the driveway. It's three brick steps and I felt weak then all of a sudden, I was down the steps and laid in the driveway. I had it on at that time, and they got the alert. They answered me and I waited for somebody to come. It was 20 minutes before they got here. I wear the device all the time but I took it off today when I was at my doctor's office. I was out of reach so it wouldn't have done me any good.

    I became ill and I'm living by myself, so I needed someone to be able to contact right away. So, I got the ADT Medical Alert. I wear it around my neck all the time, so I know that if I need it, it's there. Their people are always very nice and concerning.     I heard that there was a device that you could wear and it will alert individuals that you have fallen or needed some assistance. I already have ADT as a system for my home so I looked into having them supply my medical alert needs as well. Their medical alert team has been wonderful. Everyone's so helpful and caring.     I'm happy with ADT Medical Alert. What I like about it is because it's got GPS. However, I had to return it because my battery was low. It wouldn't take a charge. Initially, when I got it a couple of years ago, they said, "You don't wanna overcharge it. If it turns green, you don't wanna leave it there forever." Then they told me when I got the new one, they said, "Put it on when you go to bed on the charger and leave it there until morning." I'm a little confused about that. Other than that, I'm fine with it.

    ADT is a great company for the monitoring and the security system. I've been with them for 30 years and I love them. They're very dependable. But with the medical alert, it’s a different story. I had just gotten the device in the mail and when I plugged it in, I was not getting connection. I called and tried to get that hooked up correctly. But the agent was rude, like I should have known automatically how to do it, but I’d never done it. He had no customer service savviness in him. I ended up returning the device and got a new one that worked.

    The product is excellent. I have the hand watch that I walk around with. Once in a while, I get a call reminding me the battery is down or about to go down. They're good on that. They check the system to make sure the batteries are running on my transmitter. But I would imagine there are other vendors that are doing this as well. I haven't looked at that, and I need to do that to feel happy that I'm getting the best service on medical alert with ADT.

    When ADT On-The-Go came out, it sounded what I'd needed because I wanted to take it with me. I got ADT On-The-Go and I've been extremely satisfied with it. I like the lockbox on my door. When I pressed the button and they sent someone to me, they could use the lock box to get in. I could yell the passcode for my ADT alarm.     We signed up with ADT online and there was a glitch with one of the phone numbers. We called them and they fixed it right away. We got the device five days after we applied for it and it's for my mom who lives with me. She wears it as a necklace any time she's out of bed and it doesn't bother her at all. But I help her shower so she doesn't wear it in the shower. One time, she fell and she didn't quite understand that she needed to push that button. But we solved all of that. We also do testing and it might take a few rings but they always answer. A light flashes as an indicator that lets you know when you have to test and you just hit the button. Then it rings and they tell you everything is good. Having the device is a comfort to me for when I'm not home. For my mom, it gives her peace of mind to know she can get help if she does fall.

    I fell on July 3rd and my ADT button didn't work. I couldn't crawl on my knees or my shoulders because I have arthritis. So, I had to just walk on my butt. I pushed and pushed my button, but it didn't work. When I called ADT later about that, they said it would cost me $30 to get a new one. So I told them that I didn't want to have anything more to do with them. I have also fallen a few times in the last two years and most of the other times, I got a good response from ADT. Although it took a long time to get them to answer the phone, which might be because there were other emergencies. But I was happy with their device until the day it didn't work. They were good people but I couldn't understand why they would charge me $30 for that.

    I had a few instances where the pendant didn't work and I've had three different pendants. But it's amazing how when I do have an incident, ADT calls my daughter and my son.     I like the fall detection feature of the ADT Medical Alert. After I came off oxygen, I noticed that I was still having issues with losing my balance. I also consulted with my mom about getting one and my mom was eventually gonna get one herself. She said that would be one of the best things that I could do. Originally, I got the medical alert for around the house. But when I was away from home, I wouldn't be able to notify the medical alert folks that I had a fall.

    There have been times when ADT Medical Alert has gone off when the necklace hit the wall or the steering wheel when I'm getting in the car. There has been one time where I was putting on my seatbelt getting in the car and it pressed enough against the button and caused it to go off. Sometimes I have a tendency to pull too hard across my chest where the necklace is and that's a good way to test other ways that it could go off to make sure that it works. If something had happened and I needed it, at least I know that I can get in touch with emergency response folks. That's been one of the life-saving things that I like about it. It's been a year or two since I've got it and I've enjoyed having it. Even though it's a separate bill, still having it through ADT is a good thing.

    One time, I set it off accidentally and I had the EMTs at the door. The other two times they called me and I heard the buzzing on the base and I said I was fine. So far, it's been fine because I've never needed it. I'm satisfied. I feel secure. But I have one thing that makes me dissatisfied. You can't put it on hold if you go away unless you send everything back. I go away in the winter for two to three months and I'm still paying for it, and I don't take it with me.     I had a notice the other day that I had an alarm, which I didn't know why there was an alarm. ADT Medical Alert called. I called them back. They put me on hold. I told them it was an error. They said, "Okay," and hung up on me. I didn't know what happened. They called all the people on my list - my wife, daughters, son - and I told them that it was an error. I'm not impressed with the alarm. It was terrible. When I called to tell them it was an error, and to be put on hold, was inexcusable. What if it was an actual alarm and I called back to tell them I needed help?

    I really don't like the ADT Medical Alert device. It's for my mom. I do the testing every other month, and it takes them too long to get back with her. Nobody recommended me to do the testing. I do it on my own because they don't do any testing once a month that I know of. I do it to see how quick they are gonna respond if she's in distress in any way, and they do not respond quick enough. I don't like it, and I am searching around for another necklace for her. My mom is elderly and if she pushed that button, I wanna know that within minutes they're gonna respond quickly to her, and they can hear her, and not have her go in certain areas where it's supposed to be in range. It's apparently not in range.

    I probably need to upgrade because she's had the same box for years. Elderly people do not like change. I'm older and I don't like change, but I know I have to do it, and so does she. When I hit the green button for help, I wanna make sure that they're able to talk with her in whatever area she's in. Overall, the device gives my mom security. It just doesn't give me security.

    I prematurely got this for my Son. Unfortunately he has taken a turn for the worse. And never activated it but was charged for monthly use. Called. Was supposed to been cancelled in March. Got a bill yesterday for two months. Once again never been activated. And talked to representative was to be cancelled in March.     I've had ADT and ADT Medical Alert for a long time, and I'm pleased. I called them one time for reassurance that I have them if I need them. I have the device in the kitchen. It's got five little bars on it, and you call once a month. When one of those little bars starts blinking, it's time to call and have them reset it. When they reset it, they have you hang up and mash your button. They check your button and I've always heard them real plain. If it wasn't working properly, you wouldn't be able to hear them. I would recommend them 100%. I've had nothing but good results from every time I've called them. I'm also satisfied with the price. We would always hope it would be a little cheaper but they're very competitive.

    I am an unhappy camper. I fell and pushed the button on the pendant on my neck one time, and the green light came on. I laid there for 20 minutes before somebody responded. That was ridiculous.     We investigated several companies and because we have ADT security in both of our homes in New Jersey and in Florida, we decided to tie the whole thing together and got an ADT medical alert device. My wife and I both have the device and, a couple of times, it accidentally went off and ADT called right away and they reset the unit. So, we've been fine so far. We don't wear the devices all the time if we're together. I'm her caregiver during the day. So, if she's in the house and I'm in the house, we don't wear them. But if we go out, we always wear them.

    When we accidentally set off the device, we can hear the ringing, but nobody picks up for a minute or so. But then, once they pick up, they say, "Is everything okay or is there a way we can help you?" They know us by name. I tell them, "No, everything is fine. It was an accident. We dropped it or whatever." We press the button and ask them to reset it. Our unit's plugged in. If it's green, we know it's functioning. It has a backup feature for 14 hours in case there's a loss of power. I'm very happy with ADT.

    ADT has been reliable. My only concern is that the battery life of the pendant doesn't last as long. They're constantly having to send a new one for my patient all the time. But other than that, the service has been really good. We've had to use it a few times and everything is good on it. It's small and compact. It’s a nice little gadget. The customer service has been very understanding. If I have to leave my number to call back, pretty much immediately, after I hang up, they call right away. As far as the emergency response, they're good. It's also affordable, not like the other ones that are high in price.

    ADT is convenient because you can pay by the year instead of having a monthly thing that goes to my charge card. When I bought the product a year and a half ago, the sales representative was very good because if he wasn't, I wouldn't have bought it. I teach people how to sell and I won't buy from people who are amateur. He didn't act friendly. He was a friend. He wasn't trying to back me into a corner and playing little tricks so I’d buy it. Because old people buy his products, “So let's abuse them, beat them up, and they'll buy.” But there was none of that. I fire people that try any of that stuff because I sell motor homes and it's all old people. So he was very good. Every single person that I've dealt with from ADT is phenomenal.

    I had my first service dog for 21 years and my second service dog has been with me for seven years. They know if my blood sugar is high or low, if my heart's beating too fast and if my oxygen level is too low. They can sniff one cancer cell and let you know. It goes on and on and on. I wouldn't be here without them. I have my electronic stuff from ADT and the electronic stuff on me from the doctors and hospitals but the dog knows before any of those things know. ADT doesn't monitor my health. It allows me to get help immediately and my dog is trained to stay with me because I pass out lying on the ground with broken bones.

    I touch the black button and if someone comes over and tries to rob me and they jump up and down on the black button, it doesn't disconnect the call. The GPS knows where I am because that little thing is a cell phone. As soon as you press that button, that information is in the computer. The doctors, hospitals and all my health information are there. So if the fire department comes with their ambulance or their big truck, they have all the information on their screen. It is a wonderful situation. You can press the blue button and it’ll talk to the black button. But if you make a mistake, you can just hold it and it'll go beep, beep, beep, and then the call doesn't go through. So I can wear that when I'm in the bed or in the shower, and if I accidentally bump it, I can shut it off. But once you touch the black button, there's no shutting it off.

    The reps are very polite when they come on. They will ask if I'm okay and I’ll say that my little service dog jumped up on my lap and called them. They're very nice and they will reset it for me. They're real and not actors on the stage. Salespeople think they're supposed to be actors on a stage. If they are, they're not gonna last. If they feel that they can take advantage of people, they don't last. ADT costs me $500 a year for the blue button and the black button. I'm thrilled. I'm not afraid to go anywhere because I can now touch a button and get help. Without it, I can't. I like the medical alert.

    They had a GPS device that I could take my call box with me. It's a little pendant thing. I wanted that because it had a better price point and also had the GPS so I could go anywhere and have the protection. Knowing that I've got it on me, I know I can get somebody to take care of me where I live alone if I fall.     The only thing that bothers me about ADT is that the little monitor thing doesn't hold the charge for a whole lot. I charge it, but a day and a half later, I gotta recharge it. Other than that, it’s fine. When I couldn't find the little thing that you talk into and charge, I called ADT and they helped me find it by using the tracker. So that was very helpful to me. But it would be better if they could put a flex band on the watch because after you fasten it, it comes loose again. You can't keep it fastened. So, I don't wear the watch because it's useless to me.

    I called ADT and told them I needed a return shipping label. I kept it for over two weeks and it's not open. I decided to send it back. So, I called them the other day and they told me they sent the return shipping label two weeks ago. But I've never received it. The rep gave me the runaround and I told him to send me another one. But he said, “Well, we can’t do that one. No, we can't.” It was against the policy. So he said, “Watch the mail real well and then if you don't receive one in a week, then call and we'll give you another one.” I'm not happy.

    I didn't hang up with when I called them and then I heard a click, click, click and somebody got on the phone saying they wanted to give me a deal for $39 a month. But I never really understood what the deal was going to be. But he just kept talking and talking and I said, “I'm not interested.” To me, it was a scam company and I think it was hooked up with this ADT that would have called. I called ADT straight and I told them what had happened. They told me, “Well, we've never heard of anything.” So, I called my bank and told them to make sure nothing came out of this $39.

    Since using ADT, I feel a lot safer and a lot more secure. Due to my physical disability, I need a medical alert device for safety in the home. Their team has been excellent. I would recommend them to anybody. ADT is America's best home security system. But I'm trying to get my insurance to pay for my Medical Alert. But it's taking so long for me to get that paid for. And I am running out of options of who to go through. It's weird because I've talked to them multiple times. I told them I'm trying to get my insurance to pay for it and they were like, "We're gonna limit your service.” That doesn't make sense. So right now, I owe them a bill and I've got to pay them.

    My experience with ADT has been very good. They're helpful. I'm more settled using it now and I've had it on for more than a month now. It works. I was trying to cancel it and I pushed both buttons and it was the wrong thing. They called in less than five minutes. I also went on a retreat and decided I didn't need to wear it. I took it out, took the other little thing and put them on the dresser, and went off on my retreat and had a wonderful time. My son got a notice that there was no response. He called and said, “Ma, you got your medical device on?” I said, “Nope, it's at home on the dresser.” However, it's not quite as portable as you think it should be. They should come up with something where you don't have to wear the piece around your neck and then carry the other piece in your purse. The chargeable piece also needs to be charged every three hours.

    It’s also a thing you have to get adjusted to in terms of having someone or something be able to, if you should accidentally fall, notify whoever they need to notify to get to you quickly. It’s important. You have to get used to wearing it and know you don't want to fall, but when you fall, it's like your insurance, it's there to help you.

    My mother is wearing the ADT Medical Alert. She’s not very stable and it's the right thing for her. It does what it's supposed to do. It's gone off several times and the call tree works. Everything that we set up and expect has happened. They've been false alarms. But I’d rather have false alarms and know about it than have an actual emergency and think it's a false alarm. And the way we've got it set up is exactly right for our situation. It works and I wouldn't change it. They've been very professional always. I've been happy with them.

    However, when we have false alarms, I don't think it's as intuitive for an older person who may be away from that base station to interact with the base station. My recommendation would be to have some type of communication through the pendant itself, which may or may not be possible. They don't hear well and they certainly don't move fast at 89 years old. 15 seconds to get to the base station, even as small as my parents’ house is, would take an act of Congress or quite a powerful engine to make it happen. The way we've got it set up is, ADT calls me immediately then I call my father to make sure everything is okay.

    They're also using AT&T for coverage, which isn't the broadest network. Where they're situated is right near the hospital and they might get signal interference there occasionally. I understand why they're doing it with cell service. That certainly makes sense. But when I was setting it up, I had some concerns. But for the most part, when I checked and I tested, everything was fine. The service itself is good too.

    We got an ADT medical alert for my mother-in-law. She is 96 years old and she has trouble walking. She's got a small house. But she does not like to use her cane, so she was really wobbly. We got her one with the wristband. She has been wearing it and she's been taking the wristband off when she takes her bath or when she takes her shower. I'm like, “You need to keep it on because you could slip and fall in the shower.”

    A few weeks ago, my husband went over there and he said there was something funny with the system. He tried to call and they couldn't reactivate it. I don't think it was the system. It was about the same time it was all over the news that certain cell phones didn't have service, that AT&T didn't have service and some of Verizon and some of T-Mobile too. A gentleman said, “Okay. We will send you a new system.” They sent the new system, the wristband and the little neck lanyard too. We swapped out the systems. I asked my mother-in-law, “Which one do you want? Do you want the wristband? Or do you want the one to wear around your neck?” She wanted the one around her neck. So, we sent back the old system, the old wristband, and the new wristband. She's been wearing a lanyard around her neck and fortunately, she has not had to use it yet, so that's good.

    My ADT Medical Alert device could always be cheaper, but the price seems reasonable. It has gone off several times. So, there are times when I just can't wear it because it'll go off. In the shower, for some reason, it goes off when I take a shower. So, I can't take it in the shower which is unfortunate because that's a good place to slip, too. When it does go off, it starts responding right away, but not with a person. It's probably three minutes before you actually get a person who finally asks you what's going. You'll get a recording kind of a thing first telling you it's gone off, but that'll keep going for a couple of minutes before a live person comes on. Their reps are very friendly. They're very nice about it. I always feel bad.

    I have found the ADT medical alert is too sensitive. My dog has set it off, it swings against objects as I clean house, etc., the clasp malfunctions and it falls off. All these situations cause the alarm to go off. Also the range is only 600 feet so if I am walking dog, etc. it is useless.

When he fell, even not a fall, just something dropped on the floor, they reacted very good. But this one is only the smaller one, and the neck has a fall detection. But the bigger one doesn't have. We canceled ADT once because we moved outside the US. When we came back, we continued to use the same thing and got the same deal. I appreciate that part.     Somebody told me about ADT Medical Alert. So, I called them and their price was half the price of what I paid. I like the service I get. I got more options on it, too. Now, I can press it and the five department would call. Sometimes when I mashed the button by accident, they would still call me instantly, so it makes me feel safe. A couple of times when I fell outside, the reps came fast because ADT had sent them. My only complaint is if I dialed their number to ask a question about something, it would take forever to get somebody. If they did that way with emergency, I would be scared, but they don't. For the emergency, they respond fast. Also, they have been here twice because the thing kept going off. They said the battery was low, and they have come and changed that. Because of my medical condition, I couldn't change it myself and use my hands. I like them.

    My ADT Medical Alert is a good thing. I wear it when I go out. And sometimes in the house, I have it close by, but I don't wear it. I take it off at nighttime. However, if I would lean over and swing a bit, it would start beeping. So, ADT sent me a brand-new one. I didn't know what to do if it went off. One time, I pushed the button to make it quit, and I had a trooper out here and he already ordered an ambulance. When I came to the door, he looked at me and I told him I just didn't know what to do. I said, "I'm fine. Not falling anywhere and everything's fine with it." I talked to someone one time after I got the new one and she said, "If it starts beeping, you just push on that button and just hold it down and it'll quit."     ADT Medical Alert has my bill all screwed up and they have never gotten it straightened out. They have me hit with a balance owing consistently, and I don't owe a balance. My bill always has been current. But every once in a while, when they send me a bill, I get a past due balance on it and it's not. They take it out of my account every month. It seems I’ve talked to them so many times that I’ve given up on it. I just let it go and I don't pay any attention to it anymore. They keep taking the same amount every month out of my checking account and I don't know where else to go with it. But it's okay as long as I still have the medical alert.

    I test the button every month but I don't do it sometimes when I should. It has gone off a couple of times. But one time, the police came. We canceled it and ADT didn't get it in time. My only concern is it takes them a long time to answer. When that phone starts ringing and it has to ring 12 times before anybody answers, it's a little frightening. When I check it, this is what happens.

    I have ADT as my home security. I called them and asked them about the Medical Alert. I wear the pendant when I'm walking. If I fall, I press the button and someone will respond.     I feel more comfortable using ADT Medical Alert, although the price is a little high. There are other companies that are offering it for less money, but I don't wanna make the change. Also, about every three months, I have to call in and tell them to send me a new hose for the one that goes on my belt because those hoses are absolutely, totally worthless. They last three months and they fall apart. I'm still working so I do a lot of activities and the thing wears out real fast. But other than that, every time I've called, they've taken real good care of me.

    A couple of years ago, it was really raining and there was ice out and I stepped out of my truck. I fell under the truck and the truck was sliding back down the driveway over my legs. I managed to crawl out away out of the way and I hit my ADT button. They answered in two minutes and the police and ambulance got here in 7 to 10 minutes. By the time they got there, my neighbor had seen me on the ground and helped me. But I'm glad I got the button.

    Every salesperson I talked to had no idea what they were talking about. Waterproof for swimming? Sure. Free carrying case? Sure. Correct billing? Sure. 24 charge? Sure. The on the go device is a joke. You can charge it overnight, but it starts to drain after 3 hours. I was told all I needed was to recharge it whenever I rolled over in bed! Also told to come home at lunchtime and recharge. Volume cannot be raised and is difficult to hear. Button goes off by itself even when sitting still. I would NEVER recommend ADT for medical alert!!

    I know the device picks up good because I was on the porch one day and I bent over. I looked up and an ambulance was backing up in the yard. I told them I didn't call them and they said the device was going off. They were very adamant about me going in and making sure everything was okay with it. Then, I called ADT and they told me that if I stayed bent over for a length of time, it signals that I'm not right. I didn't even realize it did that, but that's good to know.     My experience has been very good. Occasionally, I would forget that the device is on me, go in the water and then jump out and throw it to the side hoping it works. Also, I usually test it to see that the battery is still alert and going strong. When I do, their team calls my name almost immediately. The only time I don't get coverage is when I travel internationally. In those cases, I just turn the device off because it's not doing anybody any good.     My sister referred me to ADT Medical Alert. She's had their service for several years. I only have the pendant. I take it with me everywhere I go. I don't fall, but I live alone. There's a staircase that I walk around the building. If I fall out there, no one would hear me. So, that's the main reason I got it. I do all my own shopping and I drive. I feel safer that I have this. I don't know how well it works outside because I've never had it respond. But it certainly works well here. When I take a shower, I have to be very careful that I don't turn too quickly and let it swing out, or it tells me I have fallen and I have to go through the whole thing. I have other people in this apartment. It's a senior independent living. Theirs that they get from local sources are only effective in their apartment, not even out in the hallway. So I am very pleased with this. I have recommended it also to the social workers at the senior center. My sister was very pleased with them too.

    The people of ADT are very well-trained and are very user-friendly. I trigger it at least once a week by moving too fast or letting it swing. Or occasionally, I have dropped it. I take it off at night but it's right next to my bed. When I get up to the bathroom during the night, I put it on because if anybody's gonna fall, that's where they're gonna fall.

    The little battery does not keep a charge after about 10 or 12 hours and I have to keep it on the charger. I usually go out of the house at 6:30 and I'm not back till 4 or 5 o'clock. By the time I put that charger onto the little battery, it's red already. I called them a couple of times because of that and the reps were fine. They called me a couple of times to tell me to put it on the charger and that it should hold the charge all day but I tell them that it doesn't. The charger is separate and it's quite heavy and bulky. In this day and age, I would think they'd have a way of coming up of a unit that's self-contained, rather than having a button and then having to carry a separate charger.

    Also, I replaced the little metal piece on the alert button with something from a dog tag because that little metal piece would get stuck in clothing and it's not that strong. It's comfortable but I have to keep moving it around. Other than that, it's made well. Although, they could make it where they could make the call directly to the responder rather than having to go through 911.

    I have the On-The-Go type of deal from ADT Medical Alert. It's $33 a month, and to me, that cost is quite good. The quality is all right as well. I haven't had any problems with it. I put that on the charger every night and it charges. The wristband thing is adequate. It's not the easiest thing to put on and take off though. You don’t want to get it too tight. If you get it too tight, you get an irritation on the skin. Besides that, it's comfortable and light, and what I like about it is I can leave the house. If I had just the regular one, it's good for around the house and 100 feet outside.

    I live up there in Greeley Hill, in the mountains and a wooded area, and I go and cut firewood once in a while. If something were to happen to me, I can push the button on my wrist and as long as I'm carrying the little receiver in my pocket, it can give ADT my GPS location, and they can talk to me. I have a medical alert device because of my age and my physical condition. I also have cancer, so my two daughters recommended I have something just in case. I've triggered the device twice accidentally, and ADT responded.

    I had you guys installed in one of my homes. I wanted to get a quote of how much will costs to start the service and ensure my panel can be used as is. The first appointment was canceled by the company because they didn’t have a tech. The appointment was canceled at the time they were supposed to be there. I reschedule and sent a text confirmation (requested by the company).

    I'm 76 years old, and I live by myself. If something happened, I needed somebody to help me, ADT Medical Alert would be a good choice.     The few times that I've had to communicate with ADT Medical Alert, the reps have been very helpful and I was treated with respect. They reached out when my battery was low and also if I might have bumped into something and didn't realize that the alarm was going off. Usually, before I go to bed, I make sure the device is on, then I use it during the day. It's rare that the battery goes low, but sometimes I might forget to bring it upstairs with me.     I've been very pleased with ADT Medical Alert. But the device is not convenient for me because I am very active in my yard. If I have it on and I bend over, it falls down when I'm pulling weeds. So, a lot of times I don't wear it. But one time I had a dizzy spell and fell on the floor. I had the device on and ADT called immediately. I didn't have a phone in my pocket. I came to, got up and managed to get to a phone. They had already called EMS, but I told them to cancel it because I was fine. I just hadn't eaten anything that day and I needed to.     When I signed up for this I spoke to a man when I got the equipment it was from a lady who had misspelled my sister's first name even though I had repeated it several times and he had repeated it back. They had my mom's last name wrong which I repeatedly told them. They didn't even have a last name for my sister except for the letter R. I had chosen the quarterly plan and the customer service rep I spoke to Tony how much the bill would be the first time and then how much each month. When I got the invoice they had set me up for monthly which is more expensive and so I called them immediately and told them I wanted it returned. I got the box to return it and on Monday it will be returned. When you have gone over names and prices several times and have verified several times and then you get something totally different then I honestly would not feel safe with their device.

    I got my equipment and I got it up to charge. I called up ADT and the lady on the other end went through it with me for testing it and it worked okay. I was told that once a month I could test it. Whenever I think about it in the middle of the month, I pick it up and I push the button and somebody on the other end answers. But it's in different ways. Sometimes, they told me, "Well, I'm gonna have to reset this." Then other times, a more friendly voice is talking to me.     The experience with the reps at ADT Medical Alert has been great. When I’ve made a mistake and haven't answered an alert, they are never ever curt or nasty. I had an issue where they sent me a new device because the other one wasn't charging, and they sent it to my temporary house address in Phoenix and it was sitting in the hot sun for several months.

    I finally realized it when the reps called and asked how it was working out. I said I never received it. They said they sent it and when they looked at my address, it was my second home and I don't spend time there nor ever use it for any mail. Instead of a big to do about it, they just said they would send me another one out and to send that one back. So, it was not a big hassle or craziness or arguing about it. Things like that have always been very good. I haven't needed ADT Medical Alert since I've had it, but that's okay. I'm willing to pay the money and keep it because it's a benefit for me. I can have instant help if I need it. The price keeps going up though.

I'm a bit older than they are, so I wanted to give them the good news that I found a great deal at ADT. It's new technology, but they don't understand that it's called On-The-Go System. And it's important to emphasize that all these young girls could feel safe in Hollywood, and have the freedom to walk on Hollywood Boulevard without getting injured by anyone or mugged.

    I hope all the young girls could have it, especially these days with so much violence in the world. I feel safe and confident walking the Walk of Fame in Hollywood, with my ADT On-The-Go system device, because all I have to do is press a button and my supervisor at work, the police, plus my best friend in Hollywood and my family are called.

    I was working in security Downtown LA for City Hall, and this six-foot ** male with no teeth tried to ask me a question. He was in my face. I got scared because I didn't want to get injured. So, I immediately showed him that I have this ADT button and the police will be called. It ended up being all right. It's nice to have just for peace of mind in case something bad were to happen. If I have to press the button that I carry around my neck, what it does is it calls the ADT security, and they flip on a switch that tells them my coordinates. And if they couldn't reach me on that little GPS box that I put in my pocket, they would call the police and the fire department and give them my coordinates.

    ADT has really good customer service. I'd punch my button and they'd answer on this little thing I got. I like to hang it on my neck and it doesn't bother me. Some old people over here that fall down a lot don't want to get one because they don't want to pay. But I told them that I'm worth it. All the old people should have one.
