When I first started with Lexington Law my Credit Score was in the high fours but with the help and support my scores are now in the high sixes. They do all they can to remove all of the negatives and even send out letters to challenge the entities. I would recommend Lexington Law to anyone. You always have a listening ear and can call or chat with them at anytime which to me is a great feeling. You don't get a recording but a live paralegal to speak with and to get your concern resolved.

I would highly recommend Lexington Law Firm to anyone is looking to rebuild their credit. They are very informative, I learned things about credit that I never knew before. And when you call, and they are busy you can leave your name and they will always get back with you in a timely manner. So far Lexington Law has been able to remove many items from my credit report, from all three credit bureaus. Things I could not have done on my own. Or have the ability to do. Thanks.

They are just taking my money out of my account every month but nothing they were able to resolve. I do not will ever recommend to anyone for this law firm. I've been paying them since Jun until December but they didn't do anything to resolve my problems. It is just awful company.

I signed up with Lexington Law. Waited 3 months still nothing. Every time I called customer service. It was a joke. It was someone that didn't even know who I was or my report. Very unprofessional. Told promises that never happened. I realized it was a scam after I seen them post on social media Facebook and I seen that everyone that was posting positive feedback either was a friend of the company's or the person worked there. Had scam written all over it. These guys will string you along and act as if they are removing things. One more thing the name is misleading as well, because there is not one lawyer or paralegal on staff at Lexington Law. Go find someone else to fix it.

Lexington Law is the average scammer! They extend the work they say they will do for you to continue to make your monthly payments. They told me a dispute was sent on my behalf over 30 days ago. 2 weeks after they said they sent it I called Experian directly to make sure they received the dispute. Experian said they have not received anything. I called more than 30 days later and Experian said the same thing. I called Lexington and they swore they sent it electronically 30 days ago and they had no answers as to why Experian has not received it, no report number, or no confirmation after they submitted it. They just flat out lied about sending it. Just so they can collect my monthly payments and purposely drag out the process.

After round and round asking for some kind of confirmation of the submission and getting nothing, they sent me the most unprofessional word documents as proof of the work. They also sent me a letter dated after they said they submitted the dispute. And it was lies and only asked to remove one item. It said this item isn't mine, which I never proclaimed. I told them the items were collection that were already paid off. The so called paralegals are so, so unprofessional and act as if they have no clue about anything. The managers are worst. I spoke to someone named Jamie and all she told me were lies. Spoke to an Amy and all she literally told me was "I don't know. I'm not sure."

I even asked them to join me on a 3 way call with Experian and OF COURSE they refused. Then she tell me she's cancelling my case since my expectations are not what we can provide and got an attorney to ok it and closed my account! This company disgusts me, more so because they claim to be attorneys. Stay away from this company. They will complete a couple of disputes then stop work altogether. My husband signed up before I did. They deleted a few things on his credit report and now 60 to 70 days in they have not done anything else. Work was basically ceased. He has not gotten any updates or anymore deletions in over 30 days! This "law firm" is crooked, shady, and unethical.

It's been over a year since I asked for help on a fraudulent claim against me. Excuse after excuse as to why this simple dispute is still going on. Still nothing is resolved, still not even a simple answer as to why nothing has been resolved. "Complicated processes" are not that complicated, if the company in dispute has no proof, then the claim is false. However, in my case, and nobody can tell me why to include the credit bureaus, nobody will drop this claim against me, thought there is no proof. Lexington Law has done nothing, the credit bureaus have done nothing.

As far as I'm concerned, don't waste your money. They have simply delayed their conclusion of termination of services by making false promises for "fixing" a simple credit dispute. Last call I made to get an update, some at home mom answered with her kid screaming at her in the background. The time before that sounded like an elderly guy who barely remembered my name or Lexington Law. Not a professional environment. Never even talked to a real lawyer. Not even a real paralegal.

I've never received an update on my account and the fake letters sent to me for dispute didn't even have my name on them. I requested copies of everything they sent to Deutsche Telecomm and all the paperwork was wrong or some generic letter that simply asked for proof of debt. I already did that and got nothing from DT or Lexington Law. No proof of debt, not even from the 3 bureaus. Insane, illegal, and unreasonable.

I signed up for the service to help with the few things that were showing up on my credit reports. Even though I have very little debt I have some bad marks due to prior issues with identity theft and inaccurate information. I gave the service a shot even though I am on a fixed income and being a single mom of three I figured that it would take long to handled my specific case and that the end result would be the payoff.

After months a year of being with the service and even having upgraded to eliminate having to purchase 3 credit reports each month I continued to any changes in my credit score. Not to mention for some reason when they disputed the claims they would not use the documentation I had as proof to handle the removal instead they mix and matched disputes to the point that the bureaus were not handling the disputes at the same time.

I also started to question if they were legit also because I had a surge in questionable calls and emails from creditors and government agencies asking for information and payment. Numerous declined services from companies even though there was no bad marks on my reports for them. Letters from those companies saying the reason for me being declined stating the wrong credit scores and even balance owed by prior residents not myself. I received checks from companies and bills that looked very official.

I reported all instances to Lexington Law, sent them copies of all the documents and information, and talked to the representatives repeatedly and they provided very little help and had no answers to assist me. I was paying for all of the service yet they seemed to not have any knowledge or solutions to back them. After a year and almost 2000 dollars I found that I was in worse shape and what I paid out was more than what debt I actually had and my credit score lower than initially. The few removals they did reappeared and for some reason I am being targeted by scammers nonstop. I am unable to pay for useless services and would have fared better if I never would have signed up!

It was very much needed because I was in the middle of trying to get pre-approval on a mortgage loan and suddenly found a bunch of things wrong on my credit report. It's still being worked on, but results so far are incredible. A couple realtors even told me that the company was junk and to run away, get out now! I didn't listen. It's just one of those things where you have to roll the dice and see if it's going to work in your case or not. Now my VA loan is back up for consideration and I'm on my way towards getting a house. So you can bet, it's worth the money. And vets get half off the first month so if you served don't forget to ask for the military discount. Saved me $50.

I been with them since July and my credit score was 545 and had some hospital issues which made me fall behind and loan I couldn't pay, due to health issues. Anyway long story short, I have a cousin that went through LL and have a house owned now, so they referred me. It was the best decision I made and they are so professional, polite and get right to it. There has been small issues, but were fixed right away...of course no company is perfect, so you can't expect perfection right away. My score is now 560 after just 2 months and I have 19 removals already with 21 remaining.

As soon as I get letters in the mail from creditors I call them and they take note right away and guide me through the way if there is anything in my part I need to do. Overall, I expect good things and my money is invested in them to help...it was my doing and unexpected situations that got me to where my credit was...so I am appreciative they are helping me get back on track. Thank you, Lexington Law and paralegals. I can't wait till my score increases and hits 600 then 700. I plan on keeping this company even when my credit is at a good stand, so in case anything happens I have them to guide and help me through the way. Hi Susana,

I'm so sorry to hear about your frustrations. Seeing results within five days is not typical. Our average client in 2015 experienced 10.4 negative items removed within the first four months. It can take time for the creditors and bureaus to process requests, but we have direct relationships with all three bureaus that help speed up that process.

In the future if you are in need of credit repair services, please reconsider Lexington Law, the trusted leaders in credit repair.

This started with their overly aggressive sales force which was unsolicited, that would not take no for an answer. That Johnathan would not get off the phone and in lieu of my repeated explaining to him financial conditions he would not give up. He is working with character in an online loan service to get referrals which is highly unethical but I understand the referral fees are lucrative worth the risk. The service itself was okay at best. They claimed to have removed a few items but nothing significant.

The main concern I have with Lexington Law is the service was canceled on August 30, 2016 and oddly they debited my bank account on October 1, 2016 for an allegedly past due amount for August. In the figure was included payment for "credit reports" that were pulled in August 2016 that were paid for at the time they were pulled. Sounds like double billing to me. The worst part is this amount of $120 was drafted from my account on October 1, 2016 without a word, email, text, paper statement, or phone call from Lexington Law.

When I called today October 3, 2016 and talked to customer service I was told the $120 was a past due amount for August 2016. They gave me some "song and dance" about they take payment after they perform services. Really? My understanding talking to their well trained sales professional, Johnathan, the service is prepaid. After all your customers "don't pay their bills", why would you wait bill them after performing services? All attorneys I've ever worked with want payment in full, up front.

What company in America does not hound customers for past due amounts via email, text, bill collectors, phone calls, paper statement, etc? Drafting money out of past customers bank accounts without authorization from customer is abusing sensitive information, i.e. Debit Card information on file. Yet they are getting away with this.

Service was great to begin with, but then the texts and emails regarding removals slowed SIGNIFICANTLY after the first couple months. Their excuse was because as they got deeper into the credit reports, certain items took more time to have removed. Lies. The few emails that I did get after the first couple months were the exact same items (multiples of same item on same credit report) that they had already removed from my credit report. How is it so difficult for you to have my 120+ day late school loan item removed when you have already had it removed over 10 times in all 3 reports combined? They start dragging their feet so you won't cancel.

And then when I finally did cancel, the rep tried to sell me another item in which I told her I didn't want because I couldn't afford to pay them right now (situations came up and I was in a bind), and ALSO that I would rejoin once my financial situation got back on track. She agreed and told me I wouldn't have any further payments due. One week later they charged me again and called in to refute. The rep told me that the notes he saw showed that the previous rep had told me about a final invoice (which she never did) and an amount of the invoice (again. Never did). This "credit repair" agency overdrew my account and refused to do anything about it. They lost a very loyal customer. I even referred people to them that actually signed up! Never again. I'll NEVER go back to Lexington.

I was with Lexington law for 2 years... $2400 and yes they did get some marks off. They drag on to collect more money... Finally I realized what they were doing and investigated how they removed those negative marks and it finally dawned on me! So I tried my way of sending certified letters to the credit companies with certain words in the letter and lo and behold I had 15 neg remarks removed in 1 week! Yes I had a lot of bad marks due to an accident a few years back... Anyway I asked about why they were so slow and how I got 15 removed and that took them 16 months to do. Guess what? They canceled my account as they said nobody can do that and that the remarks and neg marks will return. Well 2 months later and still gone, my fico went from 401 to 687 in 1 week. Yes it cost me for the certified letter but let me tell you it was well worth it. Moral of the story... Stay away from Lexington law!

    Hi Scott,

I am glad we were able to help you in getting some negative items removed from your credit report. Credit repair is something that everyone can do on their own. We are 100% up front about that fact, but we have direct relationships with all 3 credit bureaus and have been doing this for over 25 years. We have processes in place that assist clients in removing these negative items that could be difficult or time consuming to do on their own.

I finally get fed up and tell them to just cancel my account (just paid to open it 2 weeks ago) and they tell me "ok". They're billing me another 56 bucks. They have done nothing to assist me in my credit. It even went down 5 point with one credit report for what they did. They are a joke. Please do not get scammed like I did. I started with Lexington Law August 31, 2016. I was very excited to get the few negative items on my report knocked off because a friend recommended them. So, a few days go by, I was happy to see that one negative item had gotten removed. So, THEN a few days later that same negative item shows BACK UP on the same report. (Not sure why) So, I call the company ask them to please explain to me why that happened, (long and short) their system only updates every so often (that's what they say). So, not only do I use creditkarma.com to monitor my credit, but Creditkarma seems to be on real time w/ TransUnion and Equifax. So, I call Lexington Law and ask them, "HEY, why doesn't the FICO SCORE update like it does on Creditkarma?" (Their response?) (We use an updated version in our system, etc)

So, for me, that was some hogwash because I got my score directly from TRANSUNION and lo and behold whose numbers were up-to-date, (Real time?) Creditkarma. So I'm looking at two different scores the entire time, which became very unsettling for me. I have no time to WAIT on the company to be able to "pull a score?" I asked them why is their system "late" if it's UP-TO-DATE? (So at that point I lost all belief in what they could do for me. And it's only been a few short weeks. So, I decide let me look up reviews since I was feeling a bit unsettled on this manner, and LO AND BEHOLD two star ratings. (WOW) I knew all these people couldn't be wrong. So, the fact I was feeling unsettled and not comfortable with this company (full of paralegals) just didn't sit right with me.

So, I decided AFTER another negative item shows up on my report a few days ago. (GOT DAMN IT!!!) Why am I getting notified that there was nothing negative to report this week from Lexington? (So their system is out of date) #1) and #2) their "staff" is a bunch of paralegals. That's not something I felt comfortable with. If I were working HAND IN HAND with an attorney as an individual I'd feel more comfortable, which is what I opt to do. So, the fact that their system is out of date, you have to WAIT every 30, 60, 90 days (as protocol). It's a MONTHLY service. It's a great BUSINESS MODEL for anyone buying into it. But I can do this stuff on my own. All it takes is some initiative. And that is the one thing that Lexington Law showed me, I can do it my damn self. So, this is an honest review. I'm not here to say they suck, etc. That's just MY story in a nutshell.

I have been a client with Lexington for about 6 months. So far I have seen 15 negative items removed from my credit and my score has increased about 90 points. My credit was pretty bad initially and I was unable to get approved for any credit. After a couple months I started to see negative removals items dropping off my report. I now have 2 new credit cards and a store credit account that I am using responsibly to help rebuild my credit. They are a bit slower than other credit removal services, but they get results. The cost about $100 a month and a bit more expensive than other services. But the customer service is great and the online credit monitoring tools are helpful. This is a reputable company that provides solid credit repair services. If you are looking for a quick fix or a cheap option for credit repair, look elsewhere. I originally would have given them at least 3 stars, until I realized that they apparently lied to me about something important. They did get some things removed, albeit very slowly for that $99 per month. I asked them why it was taking so long, and that it seemed like they were dragging the process along. I was told that "they can only challenge 3 items per month per bureau, otherwise the disputes will get kicked back." I didn't believe them, I stopped using them and switched to a local firm, who attacked everything at once, and guess what? NOTHING IS GETTING THROWN BACK AND THINGS ARE GETTING DELETED IN ROUND ONE that LL went after time and time again with NO SUCCESS.

I asked them why are they hitting it all at once, won't it get kicked back and they said NO. And they're right. And they only charge AFTER things get deleted. I'm amazed at these people and the success rate. So, to me it seems like the LL sales pitch is not legitimate with the way they drag things out. I'd much rather pay $600 over 2-3 months for things that are actually gone than $800 or more over 8 months or more while things creep along, not sure if they'll get deleted at all.

They got almost nothing done and when I called to cancel they claimed it takes 9 months to a year, something they never represented when I first signed up. In fact the original salesman was indiscernible from a slimy car salesman.

I've done credit repair on my own, with great success, in just 3 to 4 months. I know it's a lot of work, which is why I wanted someone else to do it this time. But this is crazy. You are very quick to answer the phone for new sales yet hope your client tire out trying to cancel. The scare tactics your reps use such as "are you sure you wanna cancel? You have 55 negative items." Well, let's take 55 and divide that by 3 credit bureaus and you have, of an honest statement, HORRIBLE service and complete misrepresentation of what you offer. You want to take my payment, and then YOU expect ME to tell you how I want to dispute. Shouldn't YOU, the law firm, be able to look at my credit report and then YOU tell me the best course of action? Instead, I had to choose from a list of dispute reasons given by the credit bureaus so you can do the same thing I have already done.

I finally cancelled my service with them on July 31, 2016. During the 4 month time frame when my subscription was active, I contacted them every few weeks to get an update. Same story... The inquiries are "in process". Come to find out they accomplished absolutely nothing to repair this one simple issue.

Finally, when I called to cancel, they said, "oh we can make this a priority." This was the only reason why I paid them... To fix this simple issue and nothing was accomplished. This was a complete waste of $400 and I would not recommend them to anyone. At the end of all of this, I called the utility company directly and after 4 or 5 conversations, the utility company was able to get the items removed.

They were going to charge us $20.00/ea for the overdraft fee. It went through our bank. I talked to 2 paralegals (supposedly). One said I couldn't talk to a supervisor and hung up on me. The second one got me to a supervisor. She was to call me back never heard back from her. Called and talked to another person and finally got everything taken care of. No payment due. My husband's bill was dated the 1st and mine on the 19th. We both signed up the same day. I'm waiting for the emails about the cancellation and no payment. I'm having my husband cancel his debit card today. Not taking any chances of them charging us.

This is the problem I went through to cancel this. They tell you that you have 5 days to cancel and that you can cancel before the first of the month without having to pay anything. The only problem is, they charge you for what they have done during the month besides being charged for the next month. They charge you for every day they supposedly do something for you. They tell you that they send out a contract but we never received one. They showed us things were taken off our bankruptcy on the credit report. Bankruptcy stays on your report 7-10 years no matter what. Be leary if you use this company. Read other experiences and make up your own decision.

The "attorney" makes many promises that only "his" office can help with to "fix" my credit. Simple logic -- as an individual you can do everything yourself to clean up your own credit. I took notes on the process as the "attorney" spewed his effective "process" which guarantees 100% satisfaction. He explained the process, the types of letters to create. Note to self -- no guaranteed time frame of commitment and or closure. Credit bureaus have deadlines in which they must respond to all of your request.

When originally signing up with Lexington Law it was never explained to me that the initial $99.95 fee is a sign up fee not including the monthly service; They post bill. Three months into the service they had removed only one item from one creditor, which was a collection account purchased from an HOA default 9 years ago. This should have been the easiest one to remove as it is past the timeline and the collection placed it on the credit report almost 7 years ago. This was the only concern I had and expressed this continually. $400 for 1 removal in three months was a waste of money and I should have done it myself. I recommend researching your options and learning about what can and cannot be removed. Basically take the time to do it yourself. It is of my opinion that Lexington Law takes their time in attempting to remove your issues, and they clearly state that, as they claim it takes time. Remember they get paid more the longer it takes.

Again, for $400 and three months it is better to learn the process and spend the time disputing the issues yourself. On the final call with the representative, she state that they should have informed me of their cheaper rates and she felt they could have done a better job. I agree! For $400 I could have hired a local attorney that would have continually submitted and got the one item of my concern removed.

But my biggest complaint is I put money into my account to pay my electric and as soon as I did these people took my electric money. They were very rude and inconsiderate to the fact I have children with no a/c and all our groceries are ruined. They would not help me out one bit. And was passed along to agent to agent having to explain my situation to everyone. So needless to say they stole my money, will not refund it, and result my electric is off and I have no food for my children. Oh and did I mention they did not help my credit score whatsoever. Beware of these scam artists.

I am disappointed that they couldn't help me more. I had to call and check in to see what was going on. I was told a few other accounts were pending. 4 months/$400 bucks/1 dispute corrected. I asked the paralegal what happened to the initial charge and she informed me that was an initial work credit and by my monthly fee I must have misunderstood what was said to me. So I would not recommend this company to anyone with the experience I received. I like people to be upfront with me. I just wasted 100 dollars.

I had missed several credit card payments almost 2 years ago when I lost my mom otherwise I had paid on time. This company got the accounts deleted from my report not the late payments damaging my score. I emailed them to cancel my service but they continued to charge my credit card. I called and asked why, and they said I pay for services in arrears not in advance. This was completely opposite from when I signed up because they charged my card before they started working on my credit.

The employees will constantly state scripted information to convince you that it's the process but when you start with a 650 and after paying this company $412.00, and you now got a 550 credit score, it's hard to convince me your program is working. There isn't anything that Lexington Law provides with their services that you can't do on your own. I started using Lexington Law in late October, 2015, and had zero knowledge of credit repair at the time. I used their service not necessarily as the sole tool to get things off my credit report, but as one of many tools to help repair my credit. I used them for their tools, resources, and the credit monitoring and analysis provided on their website. I knew they weren't going to be fast, which is why in addition to using their service I disputed items on my credit files on my own. I saw it as teamwork, because without my own efforts I doubt my credit would have been repaired, but they did do some work too. Before I chose them I read the reviews. I knew there were cheaper companies, and knew I could do it on my own (which I mostly did anyways). I knew the pros and cons before I signed up. The Cons:

    1) They're slow; only work on 2-3 negative items per month.
    2) They take their time to update credit monitoring. You will find that Credit Karma (free) or if you have a membership account with Equifax ($18), will update their information sooner than Lexington Law.

    3) Their price is high; especially considering their if half their price, and anyone with a computer can dispute their own credit reports for free.

Overall don't expect cheap, fast results. They will work and get things off. You will find much better results doing it yourself, or in combination with their efforts. Pros:

    1) No hidden fee. Honestly don't know what others on here are complaining about, since every fee I was charged I was told about before I signed up with them. I also did research before I signed up with them and knew what fees to expect.
    2) Friendly and helpful customer service.
    3) Useful information and tools on their website. This is the main reason I used them. Their disputing isn't that good, but their tools such as the "credit monitoring" and "removal bar" helped me stay focus on repairing my credit and which negative items to dispute next.

    4) Know I had to pay them $100.00 every month made me want to resolve the negative credit items on my credit reports as fast as possible. I would say their high payment made me work extra hard to dispute the credit on my own; mainly because I didn't want to keep paying them $100.00 every month.

Overall, my credit has improved drastically in 3 months. In November, 2015, 27% of negatives items were removed. In December, it had risen to over 40%. In January, 2016, it was 68%, and in early February, 2016, 73% of negative items were removed. More recently, over 80% of negative items were removed. I no longer have any negative item left of my credit reports affecting my credit, and I stopped using Lexington Law. My credit score has jumped from 450-520 to 600-680 in 3 months. I also got approved for a credit card which a few months before I wasn't approved for. I still need to work on improving my score, but overall I'm very happy with the direction my credit has headed.

I rate Lexington Law satisfactory. They did the work I expect, provided excellent assistance and were more than helpful in answering questions and resolving bill paying. I think that if people use Lexington Law as a tool and resource in their credit repair, it can only help them. With that said, one must also do some credit repair work on their own. Lexington Law must be in combination with their own credit repairing efforts.

Lexington is for people who doesn't know how to make a quick phone call to the 3 credit bureaus or people doesn't know how to use the Internet. I mean, whatever Lexington do, you can do it too on your own. Before I realized that, I signed up with them, months later, not a single item was removed from my credit report and they're taking 100 bucks out of my account every single month until I canceled.

All they do is dispute some items they think they can get away with by sending letters to the credit bureaus and hoping that some creditors will not respond and, bing! If you're lucky enough, a item or 2 might be removed if the creditor doesn't respond or if it was some mischarge. But nothing special or magic they can do on their part. All you have to do is get a free copy of your credit report, go over the items and call the credit bureaus, dispute them. Or go online and go to the dispute tab and dispute them. It was so easy even I did it. I remove 8 items from my credit report in less than 30 days. No kidding!! Good luck.

They said the only way they can remove my card info from payment is if I add another one. I was not giving them financial info over the phone and they locked my online account due to non-payment. I had to call my bank and have my card froze so they would stop trying to draft an empty account. I think this company looks online at people trying to get ahead and preys on them at their weakest point. It's not right when a single mom begs them to stop drafting money she does not have and due to policy they "can't". I signed up for 6 months of credit repair with them - spent around $500 with them. Absolute waste of money. They have no special tools or ability compared to a fly-by-the-night credit repair company. They do the same things that everybody else tries to do which is to keep sending generic credit validation letters to the creditor and collection agencies. And creditors are used these letters and aren't dumb either. So, the creditors keep sending generic letters back asking for reasons/documents for the dispute. The cycle goes on for 6 months with little success. Randomly, a bank doesn't reply and you may see a record or two eliminated from your record. That is the name of the game.

They are a law firm, but no lawyer will be handling your case. It is all copy and paste. One kudos to them is that they were professional in their dealing. You could always get somebody to answer your phone. But again they have no special ability to remove anything from your record. Worse business ever. They are very lazy and very overpriced for the little work they do over the long period of time they take to get the job done. Overall customer relations is horrible. Yes you can directly speak with a Representative but it doesn't help when your problem never gets solved. They weren't clear and concise about the charges and how they function. I hope that no one risks their money on them, they are a gamble. More misses than a hit.

The "Sales" guy did a great job listening to what we needed and highlighting what Lexington would do and the details on the billing...a great pitch.

After that all the information we provided was ignored and Lexington send us lots of emails. None that had a value and it was obvious no one bother to read any of the information we gave to the sales guy. They requested credit reports and sent one form letter to Experian with no details at all. It frankly had less details than any of the letters we had sent directly. So sign up if you want to contribute $10 an email to Lexington's income as unless you want Lexington to do the basics, you can easily do yourself. Lexington will not help.

I would advise people to seriously steer clear from them. I constantly received 'double speak' from them and had to constantly call them back. Each time I did, I spoke to a different person... I have been with Lexington Law for going on four months now. They have removed one account from all three credit reports in that time frame. One account. They're supposed to be more aggressive, but I think that they are just taking my money and stringing me along doing the minimum. I haven't gotten anything back from the credit reporting agencies, aside from the one letter from the one collection agency removing itself from my credit reports. That's the only results I've had so far. I don't think it's very effective.

I think that there are better agencies out there. If you email them any questions, you generally just get a form letter back explaining time frames and that's it. There's really no personal service, so I think that I am going to cancel at the end of the month since I've paid in advance for this month, and try and find somebody who does what they actually say that they're going to do. Very disappointed with them.

Lexington Law presented itself as a company that would handle ALL issues with my credit report. I purposely explained that I wanted them to handle ALL issues because I did not want to do ANYTHING myself. I was assured that Lexington Law was capable and willing to do "all the work". After a grace period of five days they hit my account for $99.99 for the first month AND sent me an email describing how I could go online and access letters that I could send to the credit agencies to challenge certain items on my report.

I was stunned and I called for an explanation. I was told that certain derogatory remarks would be handled by Lexington Law but non-derogatory items that had negative influence on my report were up to me to handle using information found on the Lexington Law website. I informed the phone clerk that this is an example of exactly the opposite of what I wanted and was told; and was antithetical to my rationale for employing their service. I was then informed politely I could take it or leave it. Then I certainly requested to cancel my agreement and get my money back. I was told that I was now in the sixth day of my monthly contract and the 5 day grace period was over. I was told again that the only way I could cancel my contract would be to forfeit my money. I did not accept this information and continued conversations with representatives. The last representative told me that a manager would call me to discuss the matter. I am still waiting on that call.

I used this service and stayed with them for a 14 months without complaining and allowing them to do what they do. They sent challenge letters to all 3 credit bureaus over and over again until the creditor gave up and stopped defending the debt. The end result was 5 collection agencies removed and 2 original creditors removed because they had exceeded the 7-year reporting maximum. Some negative items were challenged up to six times before they fell off for good. I went from having a 540 to a 720 credit score during this 14 month period. When times got tough on my end with getting less hours, bills, etc. I contacted Lexington Law to cancel my membership 5 days before the bill was due, which was fine because that would have been my last bill and I'd be paid off. Well, checking my bank account one day I discovered Lexington Law posted another payment thru my bank account which caused 2 checks to bounce costing me $70.

I called Lexington Law and the lady was super nice and looked into my account to find out that it was canceled but someone did not fully complete the cancellation process which caused my account to remain open and me to get billed again. She said she fixed it and I will not receive another bill. I asked about my bounced checks and she said if I could prove without a doubt it was their fault they would reimburse me, which was fine but what am I to do NOW! My suggestion to anyone - Lexington Law does work and if you are ready to work on your credit go for it. BUT when you cancel make sure everything is complete. Since the company was new to Maryland, they offered me a free 60-day trial, however, it was a $12.95 fee for them to get my credit reports. They told me that I needed to keep my debit card on file in order to continue with their services. I was confused as to why that was necessary because I was only trying the services for the free trial period. About a month and a half passed and they only removed items that were expiring next month anyway. I call to cancel my free trial period and they inform me that they will deduct $99.95 for their services! For what? It's a 60 day free trial period. Each time I try to get this looked into, I got directed to 8 different people.

I intentionally set a reminder in my agenda to cancel their services!!! They tried to bait me into believing that my 60-day trial was up. However, their "engagement agreement" with me stated that I had one more day left on my free trial, therefore I should not be charged anything!!! They even mislead me into thinking that the premier package was $99.95 a month but that's a lie!! Two separate representatives told me that it's $99.95 every fifteen days!!! That's ridiculous and a rip-off. Don't even try the free trial!! You will be better off fixing your negative credit marks yourself!!!

I was on Realty.com searching for homes and received a call from Lexington Law Firm. I listened to their speak and finally decided to give it a try as my credit is not an 825 any longer. I am now disabled from a car accident in Dec of 2005 and in June of 2013 I was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome Type III which is a genetic disorder. I had to file bankruptcy and one of my credit cards was not included leaving me with a longstanding overdue debt which I found out about through the credit report that I paid $13 for through the LLF! This was the first point against them.

I chose the date of June 15 for the date of my first $99 payment. I figured that I had five days to cancel and plenty of time to research LLF after getting off the phone with the paralegal. I read reviews that were less than positive. I chose to cancel my membership with LLF. I paid $19.95 to send a Federal Cancellation Letter to them which was required for canceling. Which I have yet to find anywhere in any Federal Forms online. It appears that it is a form they fabricated to look Federal and it is very misguiding. The letter was received by them by 3pm on the final day that I was allotted to cancel within their 5 day cancellation timeline of 6/15 at 12 am.

As of today, July 28th I just got off the phone with another paralegal and supervisor, my third call to them thus far. The first call took me two days to get through, beginning on the 15th when I saw that they debited my account. I was told that I would get a call back from someone which I never received. The second call was on July 1st, I was promised not only a refund of the $99 but also of the cost of sending the letter, $20. My last call was today July 28, the call went through to a paralegal. She said that they already credited me. I now have to call my bank and find out if the $99 is in limbo somewhere as I felt it necessary to cancel my debit card on the 15th of June as a result of their early debiting of my account for their fee. It was debited a day earlier than I gave them permission to do so.

Come to find out, I was credited on the 22nd of June! It went into my other bank account which I did not give out to them. I do not use this account as much thus I did not notice the $99.95 credit. I am glad that I got the money back however, getting the run around and a false promise of a refund of the $20 that I paid for the letter to be sent is not ok with me from a law firm. I will not recommend them to anyone nor will I use their services ever again, I was considering it. I do not feel comfortable with them asking me for a date in which I want them to debit my account and them debiting it a day early and a Sunday no less. I also do not trust their competence as it took this long to get an answer that prompted me to call my bank and find the credit!

Then I called in regards to canceling my services because I was dissatisfied and could no long afford the 99.95 that they were billing me monthly for them to just play around with my case, so they offered me a discounted rate of 49.95 for three months, and still I called with questions, and information to help them better their removal efforts and still there was no change. Only change that came that I benefited from was a few credit inquiries aged out and were removed from my credit report which I was happy about but that wasn't what I was paying for. The negatives had been spread all through my credit reports and was gendering me severely. So I took it upon myself to call these three accounts about the negatives they had reported and actually told me exactly what to do.

So now here it is July 25 2015 and I have finally had enough with Lexington law, I have decided to work with a lawyer that I found through a real estate broker and I wanted to cancel my account with Lexington Law and the rep online is offering me a 12.95 for them to continue to monitor my credit for future negatives and changes. I told them "No, thank you. I get that service free of charge with my bank." Then she tells me any responses or removals they get after I close my account they will not notify me of, but they will continue to work on my case even after I have closed it. I told them that will not be necessary because all responses will be sent to me directly and I'll have my lawyer deal with it.

Then the rep tells me "great" and that my account is now closed but I will be charged 49.95 on the regular billing date for work done. I told them "no" and that when I signed up with them I was told it was a month to month service and that I had already paid for this months service and I should not be incurring any more fees because according to when I first signed with them as long as I canceled before my next billing cycle my account would not be billed. So she's going to tell me it's for the work they have done for the month. I said the month is paid for and she offered to send me some acknowledgement forms to verify what she said but before I could respond she ended the chat.

What I will say here to all those with credit issues you are better off pulling your own credit report and contacting lenders yourself in regards to resolving any issues and should that not work you get yourself an actual lawyer or a mortgage broker who specializes in credit repair as I have done now. It was the best advice ever given to me through a banker and I'll leave you with another piece of advice given by my grandfather - paralegals a people who play with the law Lawyers and Attorneys are people who know the law never bring fun and games to a business matter because you'll be played with and not be taken seriously yourself. Lexington Law is not for you. And I will be getting a refund. As a disgruntled customer who is severely dissatisfied with the manner in which they handled me and my case.

She did tell me that in my case it really shouldn't take too long to get results. The charge is 99.95 every month & a one time fee of 12.99 to pull your credit reports. So I will definitely let you guys know if this company really is legit. I will check in on the 25th of every month since that's when my credit card gets hit with that 99.95 charge.

I used them for one year up until last April. They were able to remove basically everything, and their hard work and aggressiveness got me to the point where I was getting credit card offers left and right (obviously didn't go for them all.) I hired them for stubborn college loans. I stopped last April because I was getting married and needed the money. Now that I am married and consolidated my college loans I hired them again today to tackle these college loans so I can get a mortgage with my husband. My goal is 3 months but one must be realistic and understand that it may not happen. It wouldn't be the fault of Lexington Law. They were upfront and honest with me that I have a 50/50 chance. They did not try blow smoke up my rear to get me to sign up.

The goal of Lexington Law is to tie you up in a lengthy amount of time that they can continually charge you under the premise that if they submit too many disputes to the credit bureaus, they will be regarded as frivolous and dismissed. I gave them two stars because they actually did get a few things off my report. However for the hundreds and hundreds of dollars and constant checking on them to make sure they were doing what they were expected to do, I could have just done it myself and saved several hundred dollars. Maybe if LL would get off their butts and handle the process in a quick manner (a consumer has the right to dispute however many credit inquiries they want at a time), I would pay them for their services. Instead they try to sneak around and nickel and dime you. Which is why I won't use them again.

I signed up with Lexington Law in December of 2012 to address 4 accounts distributed across three bureaus for a total of 12 items that I was assured would be very easy to remove. It is now June of 2015 and only 4 of the items have been removed - early on, a 5th item was removed but it reappeared in mid 2013 and Lexington Law has not resolved that issue and appears to be counting this as a 13th item because my Case Valet states that there are 9 items left??? I initially signed up at $99 per month but changed that to the Concord standard, thus I've been paying $79.95 per month since early 2013 and to date have spent close to $2,500 at this inept organization and I am still stuck with 9 of the issues that I started with. Lexington Law should not make promises that they cannot meet, it is very disingenuous and costly to the consumer when they do so.

In addition, Lexington Law is a very disorganized and insincere business, there is not a dedicated individual working my case and every time I called in I spoke with someone new who had a different solution for resolving my *simple* credit issues. No one seems to take an interest or ownership in my case and when there are too many *paralegals* working one case (that do not know my background/history), there is an ineffective solution. Note: I do question whether or not everyone that I have spoken with is truly a certified paralegal.

Furthermore, I have received a letter from one credit bureau stating that the manner in which my *complaints* have been handled (sent from Lexington Law) it appears my demands are of a frivolous nature. Had Lexington Law had their act together, the four creditors and three bureaus would have taken my case more seriously. But instead, it's been an absolute waste of time (coming up on 3 years now) and money and I fear that this organization's ineffective, unprofessional, and shoddy business practices have done me more harm than good. Their customer service has really gone downhill and they will only call you if they need to renew a customer agreement or need money.

Today (25 June 2015) was probably the straw that broke the camel's back. I noticed I had a missed call from Lexington Law, they called again and I answered the phone. The man on the other end immediately requested my e-mail and mailing address. I asked him why and he told me that he can't tell me until I provide him that personal information. And I asked him how can I be sure that he was even from Lexington Law and he was still rude and asked me for my personal information again. I still questioned him on what was the nature of his call - I don't require a lot of details, just one or two words would have been fine. He was still rude and he mentioned that an e-mail was sent with the same topic. And I asked him what that topic was and he still wouldn't tell me unless I gave my personal information.

I then asked to speak to a supervisor and he would do that only if I gave him my personal information. At that point I unloaded on him. I called Lexington Law later on and spoke with someone regarding my account/situation and got the usual I don't care/clueless attitude and I explained how I felt about their lack of service (he still didn't care or even wanted to hear what I had to say). So I asked to speak to a supervisor about a partial refund for the ineffective service that they have provided. He wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor but he put me on hold to see about a refund. He came back on the phone about 30 seconds later and said that he couldn't do a partial refund but he could credit me the last two payments... I guess that's better than nothing. I told him that I will not be renewing my client agreement and I expect to see a refund on my credit card... we'll see what happens.

Summary, do not... and I mean DO NOT sign up with Lexington Law unless you are prepared to throw away a lot of money, go through a lot of frustration, and put up with inferior customer service with the hopes that you may or may not end up with someone who knows what they're doing and can maybe help your case. Shameful.

    Original Review: April 21, 2015

I had called in to ask some general questions on cost and how the whole thing worked. Naturally the representative persistently asked for my credit card number. I informed him that I did not have a valid card at this time as I was in the process of exchanging banks. I also told him I was not interested in paying 100 dollars a month. He told me that if I had a card with zero balance, or a prepaid Visa card that I could use that for the initial 10 dollar fee or whatever that amount was. He said that I could then determine whether or not they would be able to help me.

I repeated to him that I had canceled my card recently because I was in the process of switching banks. He then told me that it could be used anyway, and that it was just to have something on file to go to the next step. So I gave him the number to my cancelled debit card, and it apparently "worked" as he said. After replying yes to text messages I was good to go. I received notifications saying they sent out letters. I assumed that would stop when they realized I had never paid them a cent as my card never was charged because it was cancelled before I even "signed up". They kept contacting me so I answered and informed them that I am not interested in paying 100 dollars for what is basically a leap of faith. The representative informed me that I am still on the hook for $119.00.

I can only tell you what happened to me after I started using Lexington Law. I joined them and started paying them a little bit less than $100 a month. My credit score started going down every month. After 5 months of service I stopped playing. After you join and pay your first month’s service that's when they tell you all about it. They tell you the two largest items cause the most damage to your credit is your credit to debt ratio of your credit cards which you are responsible for and the derogatory statements that they are responsible for distributing.

What they do not tell you is each derogatory statement on your credit report - three derogatory statements to Lexington Law. If you have 20 derogatory statements on your record, they count it as 60. Each credit Bureau is counted as one each. Tell you, they only do a small percentage each month and they never do all 3 bureaus at one time for a derogatory statement. Other words, it will take them 3 months to get 1 derogatory statement off all three credit bureaus.

After my score started to go down I questioned them. They said it’s my fault. They said my credit to debt ratios on my credit cards was too high. They said it was my fault. Yet I did not do anything to create that. I had looked closer and found out that my credit card companies, after Lexington Law disputed their claim, had lowered my borrowing ceiling. Therefore my debt to borrowing ratio was much worse because Lexington law made them mad and they lowered my limit. They made it look like I spent more. When I didn't spend a dime. It is a scam - do not use them. I will explain this to anyone. Their lawyer called me and offered my money back to not say anything. I didn't cash the check. I am a regular person. My rating is 602.

I am highly disappointed with Lexington law. After spending a year with them and paying top dollar for service. I go to contact someone to direct me how to get a home loan. He says first I need to get the dispute marks off my credit. 2nd, pull my credit report but cuz Lexington did not remove not one thing. All I wanted was to fix my big mistake, looks like I made another one.

I have been a customer of Lexington Law since October 2014. Since then, I have had 4 negative removals from each of the 3 bureaus. That is 12 removals out of about 44 negative items, so in 4 months I have cleaned up 27% of my bad debt. They gave me the first month half off, so very generously, and I pay $50 a month for their basic service, so I have only invested a little over $200 to have 12 removals and see my credit score jump about 60 points. It is working so well I am considering bumping up to their higher levels of service. Some people are very impatient, you need to realize that these things take time.

I did not have any bankruptcy, repossessions, or foreclosures on my credit, keep in mind these are very difficult to remove. Mine are all credit card debt and medical bills. The medical bills seem to be the quickest to come off. They have not been successful in taking off my late car payments yet, but we will see. So far I feel the work done was worth my money.

Seriously, one of the best things about Lexington is their customer service and their convenience. They are available until late evening hours and even on Saturdays. I have NEVER waited on hold more than a couple minutes, and I call a lot to check up on my case. I love that I can just go online and instant message them if I have a quick question. Their live chat is so convenient. I have always come in contact with very helpful and courteous paralegals. The reason why I went with Lexington was because when I compared them with other similar services, the paralegals at Lexington were nice and intelligent. They are SO professional.

I have had a bad experience with another company called Credit CRB who were awful and made several mistakes. Lexington's staff is knowledgeable and actually know what they are talking about. I will be sticking with them until there is nothing more they can help me with, and I have recommended them to all my friends and family.

I was with Lexington for almost a year now. My credit score has actually dropped since I started with them. They show it on their web site as much higher than the credit bureaus. I feel I was deceived and would not recommend them to anyone. When I tried to cancel, they kept trying to upsell me and told me there was a lot more that they could do for me. So why didn't they do it in the year I was paying them top dollar to help me? Then told me I have to pay another month's fees just to cancel. They are not worth your time and money. Big mistake.

What a joke. Do not waste your hard earned money or valuable time. There is no directing attorney that you will ever be able to talk to, period.... If time is of the essence, or you do not understand the process, do not hire this law firm. They do not perform until you complain. And then when you do complain they take their sweet time because they have your credit card on a monthly basis.

I have to say, Lexington Law was a good thing for me at the time. My credit was not that great and something major had to be done. They had come through with what they said they would do BUT it took over a year to get this done. I got the feeling that they were milking me for $99 a month and with no effect to my credit and about the time i was done with paying for no results, i seen improvement. But everyone needs to keep in mind that your credit is based on length of history and removing all past account bad or not, it leaves you in the same boat from bad credit history (not good) to no credit history (also not good). Everyone needs to be aware of what they are trying to achieve and just because all the bad is removed, doesn't make your score 780. Good luck to all!

Please don't be fooled or scammed by this outfit. They tell you there are attorneys and paralegals working there to assist and help you to remove negative credit information from your credit reports and histories. I had signed up and was anticipating since this was a legal firm and this was their only area of practice they were experts in this field of correcting problems and removing negative items from a consumers credit reports.

I myself am not an attorney, however I am well-schooled and knowledgeable how the credit bureaus work and operate. I had called and inquired about do they address all 4 credit bureaus and problems associated with them. The imbecile on the other end of the phone says to me, "Yes, we cover all 3, Experian, Equifax and TransUnion as there are only 3 and not 4". I replied, "Well what about the silent giant the 4th one called Innovis...?" The imbecile replied, "Innovis, never heard of it and I do not know what you are talking about." I said professionally, "Thank you for your time and have a pleasant day".

When I hung up the phone, I said to myself, "I am a consumer and I know of this 4 credit bureau named Innovis and a Law firm named Lexington Law does not have any idea what I am talking about...?" I knew right then and there I was not dealing with any attorneys or paralegals, as if I was then they would know of what I was speaking of immediately".

I called back the next day and requested an immediate refund and my request was denied, in turn the next day I sent them an email informing them that if they do not refund my money immediately I will contact the State's Attorney General’s Office and the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and file multiple complaints and call my private attorney and have him start immediate legal action on filing a lawsuit against Lexington Law. I had my money back the next day credited back to my debit card I used when I had originally signed up. Folks, do yourself a favor. Do not use this outfit as if you do, you will be burned and burned for sure. Regards and thank you.

When I first signed up for L.L. I put a priority on an old bankruptcy and it is the last thing they are working on with little results. I keep receiving letters from the bureaus saying that this will not be investigated any further yet I keep getting challenge letters to get notarized which I have, then wait another 30 to 60 days for a response. I have had 11 items removed but like other people have said their services come to a halt after paying anywhere from 5 to 600 dollars. And yes the emails that they send you are bull. I have talked to some nice people from there but as far as services on a timely matter, not real pleased.

Complete waste of money. All they will do is send dispute letters to your creditors and they showed me that they have removed stuff. Came to find out was a lie also. This is a totally misrepresentation and no paralegal will ever call you. Very professional staff but they can't do anything. Waste of money. Waste of time. Mislead by representatives. Do not sign up. You will waste your hard earned money.

I contacted Lexington Law 10 days before my bill due date and advised my boyfriend and I could no longer afford the service - they stated I could not cancel when I advised I needed to speak to a supervisor or I would simply cancel my debit card. The rep placed me on hold and came back and said they would help me out and cancel my service and not bill my card any further. I verified they would not be billing my card effective the January payment, she verified this then she also verified this with my boyfriend who has an account billed to my account. They did bill my card 2x $99.95 over drafted my account which will cause an overdraft fee. I cannot buy groceries for my family and my gas payment arrangement will now bounce and my heat will be shut off. I have referred six friends to them and have came into work and told all of them and they are all cancelling their accounts as well as debit cards.

Now that I read the reviews for Lexington Law I am sorry I ever dealt with this company. I will be filing complaints with the BBB and the attorney general along with consumer affairs. This company is a total rip off. Any help or assistance anybody can offer, please advise. I am totally screwed, thanks to Lexington Law.

I have been with Lexington Law since November 29th, 2014. I had 86 negative items, most collection accounts. And as of today roughly 6 weeks using them, they have removed 27 items and all these items have been put on my credit report within the last couple of years so these aren't accounts that were soon to be dropping off. My credit score when this all started was below 450, though it may not seem like much but my credit score jumped up 125 points across the board. I figure another month or 2 and I will have crystal clean credit and I'm not going to let it get out of control! THANKS LEXINGTON!
