    The state requires the workers' compensation insurance, and my broker suggested AmVenture. I liked their price and rating, too. My broker contacted them, and I just filled out the paperwork, signed it and sent a copy. The whole process, which included filling out the paperwork and answering questions took about an hour. We had smooth transitions, overall, and AmVenture's service has been very good.

    However, the workers' comp is a rip-off. I am a very safety-conscious small company and I have to pay 20 persons, and for every $100, I have to pay $20 plus for each employee for insurance, which is ridiculous. And in the past four years, I've never had any claims so I have a clean record. I hope somebody's going to do something about it because it is killing the businesses. AmVenture is the best compared to the others, and I didn't have any problems with them except they were insuring the lost years, too. And they send me the bills every month and I pay them.

    I had a problem with my previous workers' compensation insurance and I was looking for a new company. My wife checked out AmVenture for me on the internet. I liked their price and how they rated the policy. The previous insurance company believed that there was a minimum amount that they could charge on an annual basis. My company is a summertime business and it's not my primary source of income, and they believed that they could assess the corporate officers of the company an annual salary of $32,000 a year, which we don't make. There are two of us so that triples my cost.

    I called AmVenture and spoke with Connie, the person I’ve been dealing with. She's very informative, friendly and quick to respond. I was quite surprised because I called her in February and I followed up later on and she still had all my documentation and was able to locate it. She didn't dispose of it yet after she had not heard from me in a little bit. I was impressed. She didn't lose any documents that she started with so we didn’t have to start from scratch again. Everything was there so we proceeded. She was very quick to respond. If I had a question and she had to look it up and it wasn't right there, she'd call me within 24 hours, if not the same day.

    I was familiar with what I wanted so I didn't require a lot of guidance except for the process of underwriting. She assured me that that was not going to be a problem. I got the policy I wanted and the cost is very effective. I would recommend them. It was a pleasant experience, informative and effective so I was happy with it.

    I just started a new business, and got workers compensation insurance through CompSource and AmVentures was the underwriters. The whole process took probably two days and it was pretty quick. It took me about a week to get my contract. But the workers comp for the amount that I pay is crazy. It’s $150 a month to cover the person who stands in my register to take orders and doesn't do anything else. That to me is a lot more than it should be. But I'm pretty satisfied with it.

    We got a letter from our state letting us know that we should be carrying workers’ compensation insurance since we have an employee that's not an owner. So, I made a Google search and AmVenture had a quick response, they were there right away. I filled out forms just to get quotes online and then AmVenture had reached out via phone and email. The first one was an email and I requested a quote. It was the same woman every time which was nice so I didn’t have to re-explain myself.     AmVenture's rep, Dave, was awesome. I just started a consulting business and I needed to get some workmen's comp. We shopped around for rates with different insurance companies and, by far, Dave was the most outstanding. He was receptive, informative, patient and efficient.     The workman's comp that I had before was through our payroll company. I closed that out and had to find a new one. When I called AmVenture, the guy was really helpful. I told him what I needed and he asked me the questions and I didn't feel like I had to get the run around. He just was straight up with me. And that's how I like to do things.     We googled worker’s comp and AmVenture came up. Somebody there answered the phone while other companies didn’t. We needed a quote and they gave us a quote. Then we waited more than three days and called them back when we were ready to hire somebody. They renewed the quote and we paid. Their rep was a little urban but friendly. We found out we really didn’t need worker's comp yet because we only have two employees. It kind of was a bummer. But he didn’t tell us that part, but maybe he didn’t know. There’s not much guidance from them. Right now, it seems pointless and I hate the fact that our government requires us to do this but for $300 a year, it’s better to be covered than to be in jail or to have less fees. All in all, it’s available, it’s mandatory, and it’s a shame that we have to do this.

    We've got an office and I have two people working here. We're attorneys so we don't get injured on our job and if you do, you're not doing an attorney's job. But by law, I have to have workers' comp. I had a problem before when I was dealing with Hartford. I used to know nothing about workers' comp and they couldn't explain things. I didn't know I should be checking to see if they changed my rate and they charged me more and more every year for no change. They said it was due to the state but the rate was down on the state and I didn't like being lied to. I took over this job as a director in January 2015 and I thought I needed to replace this. I even looked to my board and asked for another alternative for workers' comp.

    We started with AmVenture back in April and everything is great. The money goes out of my account around the first of every month. Everybody is happy, they get their money and I'm covered. I was looking for an insurance company then who had what I needed. I changed because the audits were costing me so much. My premiums are comparable to what they were with on bureau but the bureau has an outside auditor. They told me they've got an in-house auditor and the price for the audit is within the confines of my premium. In that case, I would be saving $1,500 a year, but I won't know until next April when it's time for an audit because by then, although the premium might not go up, the audit price just keeps going up and it didn't matter if you don't have a claim throughout the year which doesn't make sense to me.

    In addition, it's been difficult for me to find an insurance company because of the size of my business. My general service is more residential than it is commercial. I have many commercial customers, but my percentages were more 90-10 from residential to commercial. Most insurance companies did not want to insure me because of that. I've spent 24 and a half years building my business and those customers deserved to have me covered as much as any commercial customer did because some of the houses we do are more expensive than some of the offices that we do. And so, they needed to require coverage and they deserve that.

    I had talked to other companies and they all could say they can do it, but the AmVenture agent I've talked to knew where I was at and he worked his tail off to make sure he could provide what I needed. He heard what I was saying and I appreciated that he saw that so, that made me want to work with him. He was straight up with me and worked his rear-end off to be able to make my requirement happen and be insured.

    There are so many things that are thrown at us and if you want to be big dog, you got to look like a big dog, you got to act like a big dog, and that big dog requires big insurance. I'm hoping that it's going to be just what I was told it was and that my audit price will not cost me $1,500 like I've been having to pay years passed and everything would be great. We've never had a claim so far and I hope we never have one and so, our reputation was good. Because of what I've experienced so far, I have told other small business people about AmVenture.

    When I looked into getting a quote, they were speedy in getting back to me. Doloren, the agent who worked with me, was awesome. She was helpful, very pleasant to work with and super on it in terms of saving documents and calling me back. Signing up with them was easy but once they got my money, they won't return the calls. I've been trying to get in touch with them to cancel because the business is not going to open but I can't get a hold of them. Now, I'm forced to do a chargeback on my credit card. It's been two weeks now since I responded to an email. AmVenture should not be so concerned about taking people's money. They should give their customers good customer service because, in the end, it's that customer who's going to tell friends and co-workers that they suck or that they're a great company to work with and for. However, in my case, they suck. Will I use them again? No. Will I recommend them again? No.

    I'm trying to get my the business going but I haven't quite started it yet as I'm still in the process of getting all the paperwork done to get it going, and this is the first time I'm getting workers' compensation and disability insurance. I was shopping around and contacted a few insurance companies and they wanted me to do their elaborate forms and told me that the process would take several weeks. In this day and age, we should be able to get things done a little faster.

    I work part-time for a company and we have our workers' compensation through AmVenture. The cost of AmVenture's service was comparable to what the other insurance companies had, but it was the speed of getting things done that was the big factor in my choosing them. They were the fastest to get back to me. We went through the application mostly on the phone and it wasn't complicated. I gave them all the information and the process took about 20 minutes. The rep said they were going to get back to me after he sent my information over to the underwriter. By the next two days, I got an answer and we were done. I had to make a payment, then we were set to go.

    I'm an accountant so it's not difficult for me to calculate what my salary would be, how many days I would have this production, how much I would pay people, and how many hours they were going to work in my business. I've been doing those calculations and that's also part of the job that I'm doing part-time, so I wasn't looking for guidance and didn't need help from anybody for this. But I had some questions on possibly moving to another business location, so I called AmVenture and the rep I spoke to was quite helpful and explained to me what the process would be. So, the quality of their service was definitely worth it in relation to the cost. The service they provide is a safety net, but it's not something that you'd want to use all the time. I haven't had an unpleasant experience with them and I'm hoping that I wouldn't have any, even if my employees end up using the service. All in all, AmVenture was a very good service.

    AmVenture took smaller cases unlike another company and has been around for a while so I wanted to try out with a reputable company. The representative was very friendly and knowledgeable. He communicated through email and then called and set up the insurance, which was very self-explanatory so I don't have a problem. The only thing that was missing was the disability. AmVenture should try to be a bit clearer in knowing if certain things are not included and have a bit more history on the disability part because if I call disability insurance, they couldn't do anything for me and had to send me back to the rep. But as a first time person ever doing with workers' comp, I felt safe. The quality of the service seems good. I like that it was easy to contact AmVenture by email when I do have a problem and if I'm still unsure about something, I can reach out to them.

    My company is a small catering business. I researched a few insurance companies online and I was getting a runaround until I found AmVenture. They said they’re a workers' compensation insurance for small businesses. I called, spoke to an agent and he was the one who helped me out. Before the day was finished, I got the certificate which they emailed to me. Then I called and the other certificate was emailed to me. The agent also gave me his number and told me that I could call him about any problem. I called him several times and he was able to assist me in making the coverage. He responded to my emails, too, and I was satisfied with his guidance.

    AmVenture’s service was great and because we're staffed around, the cost was for my budget. But when I got out of hospital, every time I went down to AmVenture, it was a different story. The first time I went there, I was sent to a door marked A. The two ladies who came out were wondering what was going on and asked me what I was doing there. I came to the front desk and I explained it to them. I was told to get a ticket and when the ticket number was called, I came inside. The lady there was not very pleased. Then I left but it was so confusing. I was asked to provide what was on the checklist and I tried to do what AmVenture said. Whatever was required was in the checklist. After about six visits, I got the compensation and I was happy that I got it.

For a company that has many sections and doesn’t really have any claims, we felt that AmVenture had way better rates than any other company.     Worker's compensation is required by the law to have for business and there's no way I can avoid it. The ex-owner told me about AmVenture and I called them directly. The discussion for the insurance plan was fine but I have an issue in making the payments. Sending a small amount by the check every month is a headache. Payments are easier and less hassle for me if there's direct deposit or having an account set up where they can take them automatically. Still, I recommend AmVenture.

    We needed workers' compensation insurance for our business and I looked up something on the internet and AmVenture was one of the options. As soon as I contacted AmVenture I was able to talk to somebody and did not just take down my information. Steve handled it and he got back to me in a timely manner. He got the information and I liked that he gave me a quote right then and there because the other companies that had called in still haven't called us back days later. They were helpful and they gave us a good quote, which was the cheapest quote that we had gotten. Steve had to give it to the underwriter to make sure that they approved it and he told us that if it wasn't that afternoon, that it would be the next day and it was the next day.     Our business was supposed to have a workers' compensation insurance and AmVenture was the first one that popped up in Google. They were easy to give the policy. I talked to one guy all the time and he answered our questions. It was quick and short, and we paid after a short conversation and that's it. Having insurance gave us peace of mind. I can tell my friends to try AmVenture for workers compensation in Florida. I hope that if one day we will need to activate the insurance, then it's the real test of an insurance company; not when everything is good.

    However, the guy who we were talking to said something about sending us a form that we need to notarize and I didn't understand which form it was and what I need to notarize because we got a lot of papers in the mailbox. That was really good ‘cause I always appreciate when somebody goes and wants to make sure it’s done right the first time. The only thing was they issued the policy and it was in the wrong amount.     I just took over a business and I started doing work for a new contractor, and as part of my work with the new contractor, I have to carry work with compensation insurance. I was looking on the internet and found Amventure. The staff who assisted me was helpful and it was a very easy interaction with him. I called him and he called me back within an hour and have me set up. He also answered my questions I had. I'm waiting on him now to call me back with a quote on general liability insurance. Amventure's price was also very reasonable. They were very cheaper than anybody else I talked to and the guidance I received from them was good. They got me my policy that I needed to get the contractor. I very much recommend them. It was a great experience and I'm glad to do business with them.

    I called AmVenture and the guy was nice on the phone. He said the insurance would cost $700 a year and they can bill me at $70 increments every month. It sounded fine, but the bill came back at $700 right then. The guy said it wasn’t supposed to be like that and that he’d call me that Monday because he knew it'd lapse on the 10th, which was Friday. I called him a couple of times and it went back and forth. He said it’ll be expired but promised he can get it reinstated. I had a couple of things happen to my life and I didn’t sleep for a month. The whole thing left my mind a little bit and before I knew it, the insurance lapsed. The guy is horrible. He promised me three times he'd call back, but he never did.

    My experience with this company is poor and horrible. I paid $140, but I don’t know if I even have coverage at all. I’m very, very dissatisfied. I know there's a whole bureau out there that investigates insurance companies and I'm thinking about looking it up and calling it now. I'm really disappointed in the whole thing. It almost felt like I got scammed by this guy. I want AmVenture to call me. I told the insurance and I want to make it right.

    I have a small company and AmVenture was the only one who would cover it. Most insurance companies wanted you to have at least two or three employees, but I only have one part-time guy. We started two months ago and their staff were knowledgeable and they were a pretty big help. They provided satisfactory guidance.     We recently picked up some big contracts and they were requiring workers' compensation insurance. It was for their peace of mind and was how they liked to do business. And I was fine with appeasing a company that was going to give me thousands of dollars. AmVenture was recommended through another service that I was using for another type of insurance. They didn't have what we needed but they were nice enough to recommend AmVenture because it was the one they worked with before. We looked at a couple of other companies but it was the recommendation that steered us right through. AmVenture had rates that were pretty equivalent too.

    I was the easiest customer in the world and the most ridiculous at the same time. It was a hell of a whirlwind day. I was on the road and I could barely hear the rep because I was in the mountains of Berthoud, just getting done with a meeting. I was literally standing on the highest point I could find to get any service and I was flabbergasted that the rep could even hear me. But he made it really simple. I told him, "Listen, this is what I need and I need it approved today." And I needed him to send it to my business partner and I gave him 20 different emails to send it to. Within 30 minutes, we were all set.

    I knew going in what I wanted. The rep walked me through a few things and went through the rigmaroles. These were things we needed to read legally and I understood. I've never had any trouble with the insurance. I've been running businesses for 20 years. This is not the biggest one I've ever run but I had to slow down. AmVenture made it absurdly simple compared to policies I've had before when I was insuring 50 people. It was a lot more complex than insuring two. Also, I haven't had any trouble with payment options or surprise bills, which is always nice. Everything was upfront.

    That time, I was stressed to the gills, I had 50 people calling me, and I was in the middle of nowhere. I needed it to be easy, fast and done right. I cannot have this go wrong because we were going to lose a $20000 contract. AmVenture was extremely prompt when I called and they got back to me very fast. They were very professional and took care of everything. I'd recommend AmVenture but it would be somewhat caveated by the fact that I've never had to do a claim through them. I had an easy time setting it up, though, and that's something.

    I needed workers compensation insurance to work with a client and I needed to get this done really quickly. But it was difficult to get help from anyone to get that. The other providers called back, but no one was quick to the draw. They emailed me a quote, but they didn't have a "can do" attitude on the phone and going with them felt a little sketchy. They would have gotten my business if they got me to trust them quickly.

    That's why I went to AmVenture. I called them up and we had a quick conversation. They gave me the price, which was great, and we did a no-nonsense, straightforward transaction, with none of the craziness. They seemed honest, trustworthy, and straight shooters. The guidance I received from them was direct to the point and helpful. The quality of the service in relation to the cost was wonderful. They were right on to the job and did what they needed to do. I know that the insurance is there in case it's needed, although I haven't had to use it yet.

    Also, what was so impressive was that they had to collect a lot of information for these things and I felt a little uneasy with a lot of the stuff, especially because I have an LLC that's under my social security number in the state of Texas. They asked for my ID number and that felt a little weird. It was like... Really? I'll give that to a company and I don't know who they are? But they made me trust them to give it, and I gave it over the phone instead of giving it on a site, which was an experience that I didn't really care for. I would recommend AmVenture to a friend.
