We were rear-ended by another vehicle and pushed into another car. When I called our State Farm Agent, he told me that we needed to file a claim with the responsible driver's insurance. We did this and moved the vehicle to a body shop. A few days later, we learned that the combined damage to our vehicle and the car in front of us exceeded the responsible lady's liability limits (she carried the state minimum requirement). We told our State Farm agent and he reluctantly filed the claim. Then they told us the rental car we were in since day one was not covered for the first few days because we didn't "mitigate the cost". I would have agreed had we not called our agent at the accident scene and told not to file a claim with our company. We have since learned that State Farm agents lose some of their commission if a claim is filed, even if it is not our fault. Several months later after canceling our policy with State Farm, the agent had the nerve to call us and ask us to come back to him.

In mid November 2013, a truck driven by a company insured by State Farm Insurance supposedly lost his brakes and caused an eight car accident. It has been almost two months with no resolution in the horizon. Our Dodge Ram Truck was rear ended, tail gate ruined, bumper ruined, right side body damage, and the truck doesn't drive straight due to undercarriage damage. After pressing State Farm, they finally sent an inspector to see the truck as it sits in a parking lot. We were again ignored, and after our insurance agent contacted them, I received the second phone call from them in almost 60 days. I was told the inspection was done, and their initial figure was about $1400. $1400???!!!!! A scratch costs almost that much in a body shop today.

THEN I was told that while we were absolutely innocent, her client may be innocent too, because his brakes were recently repaired, so they are "investigating". Investigating? 60 days??!! When I asked why it would take so long to identify the problem (which should have been able to be completed in a couple of hours), and how much longer would it take, I was told, "We're working on it". THEN I was told that they may not be liable, and we would have to pursue the owner of the truck or the company that repaired it. I said, "I believe the insured paid his premiums for you to pay me in the event of an accident, and that State Farm has a division whose job it is to recoup their costs if someone else was responsible."

She agreed, but still refuses to pay us for the accident, until "further investigation". She suggested that I go through MY insurance company, who could then come after them to be reimbursed. I asked why, in the same manner, couldn't she pay for the damage caused by her insured and then seek reimbursement from the repair shop who caused the damage. Again, no satisfactory answer. It appears State Farm is dogging their obligation in an effort to have all parties involved go through their own insurance companies, and then "lose the claim". I have never, ever seen or been a part of such blatant disregard of accepting responsibility.

I was in an auto accident and the person who hit me is insured with State Farm. It's been 17 days since the accident and State Farm still won't accept liability and fix my car. They are saying because the insured party won't return their phone call to take responsibility for the accident. There is a police report and even a witness statement. Very frustrated with them and will NEVER have them as my insurance company.

I ask my agent about in drive program to save on insurance because I did not drive my vehicle much. He said a person could save up to 60 percent and not any more than I drive I could probably save that much. After a year of free in drive because first year is free then you pay 5 dollars a month for it 60 year total. You can access your in drive account to see how you are doing. They rate you on breaking, speed mileage, turns and time of day. Well I got a and b's for all except for my turns - they were c plus which a Jeep Wrangler will make a real sharp turn and to get out of the subdivision I live in. Roads are narrow and you have to turn sharp. I only put 1,123 miles on it. In one year according to my account I had already saved 150 dollars that I never saw off my bill and that my total estimated discount would be 192 for the year.

Well my bill was 11 dollars less than my last one 6 months ago. They only gave me 24 dollars discount on my bill for the in drive and it cost 30 to have it. The whole thing is a joke. I cancelled it and am sending it back. I live in the country and if I did not drive my Jeep for a week, they would send me an email saying they can not detect it and it was not in vehicle. When I called them, they said I had to drive it at least 15 minutes a week so they could pick it up because they use Verizon to locate it and that don't work where I live. So in all, the In Drive program will only do you good the way I see it if you never drive your vehicle but yet they will tell you you are getting a discount but you will never see it on your bill. So don't waste your time. Other than that, they have treated me really good on any claims I have ever turned in.

So after I found out, I took the insurance off it so she could not drive it. Then this another fraud she did. She went to State Farm and took insurance without my ok and they without me being there put on that policies, no proofs of how I was but I want my name off of it and the guilt party charge, ok.

I'm currently insured by State Farm and up until my first accident has it been a pain in the **. It has been weeks for them to figure something out through claims. I was driving home one night on the freeway (weather conditions weren't the greatest and roads were slick) and some guy going too fast with what I assume crappy tires swerved and spun around in front of me causing me to slide into the side of him. Need I repeat the roads were slick and although my following distance was doubled or even tripled, I still slide. No airbags were deployed and my vehicle received far more damage than his (adding that I can't even open my driver door over an inch). Also no injuries. So finally when I urge for an answer I'm told that the incident was entirely my fault. No 50/50 like stated. 'I' was driving too fast and didn't have control of my vehicle. All this false information based solely on statements and guesses. No investigation into the police report (I had to send them MY copy that I purchased for them to actually look at it) or anything else for that matter. Everything is just a big mess and the last thing you want to have to deal with with your own insurance. Who knows how long til I can get my car fixed. The only plus side is my agent seems more cooperative and willing than anyone else.

I originally set up my account with State Farm when I moved to a new city where my prior insurance wasn't accepted. I set up my monthly premium payments to be directly deducted from my checking account, which they only did once. A couple months later, they told me my insurance had expired due to non-payment. After telling them what the situation was supposed to be, they said the checking account number they had on file was different than the one I gave them. Mind you, they took out my original premium from the exact same account. Each time I spoke to one of the agent's Reps, they would promise to look into it and call me back, but never would.

I assumed that because I never heard back from them, and because I never received a statement, that they had resumed taking the payments out of my checking account as I'd requested. Well, tonight I noticed that that they have not been taking the premiums out and that my insurance has expired. I AM LIVID...and that's putting it mildly. After reading some of these posts, it looks as if State Farm does this to a lot of people and that a class action suit might be in order. How 'bout it? Any takers? I am totally serious because I have been riding around without insurance over a measly $66 premium. I think their game is to get you signed up with a low monthly premium, expire your policy, then re-instate it at a higher premium. THEY'RE CROOKS!!!

I moved from American family to State Farm, my homeowners and my Auto Insurance. State farm offer me a better rate. Originally the Agency took more money from my account than my premium, plus someone else's Premium from my bank account. The second month Jeff Zegmant (Agent) took more out of my account than my premium amount. I caught the transaction and called his office to get this corrected. Jeff Zegmant refused to contact me and correct the withdraw amount. I sent him a fax telling him not to deduct money from my account till the over payment was adjusted on my policy. He refused to respond. I then made the adjustment myself and sent a letter to Dallas Texas State Farm office with the breakdown of the overpayment. I sent a check for the difference. I got a letter of cancelation on my auto. Three days later got a reinstatement letter of my insurance. I called Jeff Zegmants office. Told them I had no reason for being canceled or reinstated. Jeff again never returned a call.

On Christmas eve I called state farm. They informed me that I was canceled and was not being reinstated. But they cashed my check for the payment I sent. Jeff never called me to this day. So I called his office and was told that I was delinquent on my payment, which I wasn't. Jeff Zagmant is a terrible Agent. He is located in Parkville Missouri and I don't recommend anyone trust this man. I was Happy at American family. I switched and have had nothing but issues with my premium. It is almost a bait and switch. The brought me in at a lower rate than American family and once I changed Insurance my premium went up for no reason. Jeff's office told me If I didn't add my wife on my auto policy I would be canceled. I said my wife doesn't drive my truck. She is a Missouri Auto dealer and drives on a D-tag and carries her own Insurance. Jeff's office said that I had to add her and my premium would go up or they wouldn't cover my truck.

All I can tell anyone is DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS AGENT (JEFF ZAGMANT). State Farm to this day has done nothing. I called filed a complaint and it did no good. It seems that State Farm allows its agents to screw consumers over and take money from people that they don't owe. Do not give State Farm Access to your account. If you do always make sure you watch the amount they take. Don't trust your State Farm Agent. He definitely No A GOOD NEIGHBOR. Don't do ACH withdraw. You will get ripped-off, especially if your Agent is a Agent like Jeff Zagmant of Parkville Missouri. I am sharing my experience of Face-book, Twitter, You-tube and anywhere else I can on the Internet. Jeff Zagmant might have gotten me for a hundred Bucks or so, but in the end, reputation and word of mouth will cost him more than he realizes. Thanks to the wonderful World-Wide Web.

My neighbor failed to put his car in gear, and it knocked my brick mailbox over. He gave me his insurance information (State Farm), and I have been unable to get State Farm to cooperate in getting my mailbox fixed. I have spent hours getting estimates from the necessary companies (electrical, masonry, plaques, capstones, etc), hours I don't have -- yet State Farm asks for more and more information: itemization, photos, etc. I finally told them that a sub-contractor needed to be hired because I couldn't address all of the requirements/answer questions. They referred someone, who made an assessment. Now SF has "gone dark" -- doesn't respond except with form emails that have no bearing on the situation. They have been absolutely horrific -- not "good neighbors" at all. What are my options?

First off I am not insured with State Farm and that's where my problem with the company starts. On the day before Thanksgiving November 27, 2013 as my wife was leaving a Personal Care facility in our 2013 Toyota Camry Hybrid, another driver (while backing from parking) struck the rear bumper of our vehicle as she drove past. The other driver was insured with State Farm. The other driver was operating a rental vehicle and produced his State Farm policy. The following Monday after picking up the accident report I called State Farm and received a claim number. Two weeks later after not hearing anything further from State Farm I again called and their representative explained to me that the delay was caused because State Farm and the rental agency were disputing who was responsible for the claim. I advised the representative that I would just turn everything over to my insurance and let them handle it.

Now I find out that I will be responsible to pay both the deductible and also the rental fees upfront then get reimbursed after my insurance "subjugate" State Farm. I called State Farm and explained to the representative that I didn't have the money to pay all those upfront cost and after checking he said that it had been deemed that their insured was at fault but that was their rules.

I am more than just a little angry, I am disgusted that they don't care if I am inconvenienced or not. They have put us in a bind and all I can do now is write letters of complaints and not be compensated for my losses (gas for having to take wife to work and pick her up, taking my mom to wound care etc.) since the car is scheduled for repair on Monday 12/30/13 and we will be down from two vehicles to one.

Just a short note to say I am disgusted with the "this Service" I received from both Clift Pontiac and State Farm. I told you there was a problem as soon as I picked up my car. Yes the cosmetics were done to it but no checking for leaks and damage to the axle etc. That car has been in shops across town trying to ascertain what was causing it to leak so badly. I drove less than 5 minutes away before I had the same problem...steam pouring out from under the hood. You suggested I find someone to look over the vehicle and I did. But everything he said was questioned and refuted despite the fact this man is a certified mechanic who owns his own Rod & Custom shop.

In order to try to appease claims I would have to have GOD agree to testify since it was only the 2 of us in that car! They are doing everything they can to avoid the responsibility that was theirs in the first place. I am so embarrassed that after this shop spent the better part of 2 days trying to appease your claims dept, you basically insulted the guy who was just doing as he was asked! I think everyone's palm is getting greased and noticed that while I had a rental car for a few days 5 or 6 the company actually claimed I had it for 12 days! I wish! The only people not getting served are the customer's who pay high premiums. Sure hope you all have a Merry Little Christmas knowing our plans to go spend time in Canada with our family have been cancelled due to lack of integrity of those State Farm and the people they "serve". You have not heard the end of this! I am going to send the NIC a copy of this and all complaints in regards to this mishandled cluster.

I had an existing Auto Insurance with Geico and when I came to Georgia, it moved to State Farm as they offered me $10 less for a month. After a month, State Farm cancelled my Insurance Policy saying I have given incorrect data about duration of my Driving in United States. Their argument was incorrect as I have never given wrong information and there are enough sources where they can find the issue and expiry of my DL. To continue my insurance I had to pay $20 more which is actually $10 more than what I had from GEICO. I went back to GEICO but by the time they increased their rates as well and offered $10 more there.

In Summary State Farm did an unfair business with me causing loss of money and time. I do not believe this is right business ethics to give a policy at lower rate and cancel it in a month's time and force customer to pay more. Very bad experience. Right now I am paying little more in GEICO but I cannot do business with STATE FARM who is nor reliable and given this scenario I do not have confidence in their commitment in terms of claims and future business. Apparently, they will only pay for the damages to the car, but not all of the other fees. The dealership is now asking for loss of use and administrative fees that SF is not willing to pay. Several people with State Farm told me I would be receiving a check, including the claims investigator. The damage to the vehicle included the impression marks of the insured's license plate. Very obvious.

Due to the harassment and excessive contact by the investigator, I had to obtain an attorney. IN RETALIATION TO MY DOING THIS, THEY PLACED A STOP PAYMENT ON THE CHECK FOR DAMAGES. This stop payment was made by one of the same individuals who told me the check would be issued. This is not a company you want to do business with. I have been with State Farm since I am sixteen. 30 years. I have been accident free for 25, no tickets and have been given all their wonderful discounts for years. My parents for 45 years. I have never used my insurance. I have been quoted over $90.00 per month for 7 or 8 years now. I have always called and asked this premium is unreal.. Let's re-look at it. They told me every time that is the cheapest and you are completely covered deductible and don't ever worry. My premium was quoted today by two separate State Farm Insurance as being $65.00 and $72.00 for the same rate. I received a phone call from one of the gals who informed me that it's unethical for another agent to quote. I simply need to transfer the files to them and they should never re-quote ever!!! It is a code of standards between agents. I was quoted literally 23 dollars different per month by two separate agents. I called because after 25 years I was under the understanding I had rental car reimbursement. I was informed I don't have that in my policy. My car threw a rod, I knew I was not covered for that. I was sideswiped by a car for my first accident in 30 years and I called for a rental car and was informed I was not covered for rental car reimbursement for being swiped.

In talking to the two new quotes, these quotes both include that coverage and one of the newer agents says my policy looks as if it is quoted for a 26-year-old male driver. Remember I have no tickets, no wrecks. Corporate is looking into why there is such a huge discrepancy in quotes and has made it clear that all quotes should match across the board. My agents of 25 years have increased my policy. Never in the past 4 years of owning my current car has it declined or have they offered me the rates that I have just quoted.

STATE FARM underwriter just informed one of the girls who quoted me the $23.00 saving per month that I am not allowed to have a better price because I am an old existing customer and that those rates are only for new people!!!!!!!!!!!! Wtf!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been there 20 years accident free and my agent liars have kept me there, not even giving me the option to bid shop. Acting as if they have been doing me favors for 20 years. Now that I have a claim, I find all of this out that I have been over paying a premium that I feel was quoted wrong, way overpriced for 4 years now. They are upset with me for getting a quote.

The girl here in Salt Lake City has advised me they cannot keep their quote. Mind you two of them have the same and my ** agents have known this for years and have charged me $93.00 for an accident free record. This is FRAUDULENT. American Family has quoted me the best prices, the same as the new quotes from State Farm. I will be taking my business there. I have my homeowner's and general liability through them...My premium with them is $71.00... Explain how when you have been a customer for 30 years, paid all of your premiums and you learn that they will give a brand new client a savings of $23.00 but their current and loyal consumer they shaft and make pay more.

This is going on in every State Farm contract. If you are currently with them, call and get a bid from another agent. They will not allow you to save money but only transfer your current file and tell you, their quote is the same as what they will quote you. You are all paying extra 20 dollars per month or more for 20- and 30-year-old policies instead of the current market rate!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to try and get a man named Gebhart in SLC to do a segment on this and to make all older policy holders aware, they are lying to you about 10-year free accident rates and more. You're being charged more than getting a new company for the same price.

In all 4 accidents, State Farm has been very cooperative, and great to deal with. I was referred to local auto-body shops that did a great job on my car, and claims were settled very promptly. Because of the great service that I've experienced, I've never tried to call other competitors to do a price comparison. Therefore I don't know if their prices are fair or not, but I think I'm paying a reasonable amount for great service. I just got my bill from State Farm and it "increased" by 33%! $80 to be exact. I called, and was told that OnStar revealed my mileage to State Farm and I had gone over 7500 miles. I was discounted as long as the mileage remained low. Not, and I repeat, Not because of my driving skills.

I feel this is a misrepresentation by the name of the program as well as an infringement on my privacy by State Farm using OnStar as a tool to increase auto insurance rates. When I called State Farm, I was told it was a "small" increase to my rates and there was nothing I could do. I discontinued being involved in this program and the girl laughed. She said she never signed up for it herself.

We got it fixed and were on the way to pick it up and the mechanic got in a wreck. It wasn't his fault, it was the lady's. We have been here a whole extra week going on 2 now that we had to pay for a motel. Thank God my fiance's brother was visiting his friend and is letting us use his truck. But we still have not heard one word from State Farm Ins. They will not return our calls. We called our ins. agent which is Allstate. He is trying everything he can. It's just ridiculous. Anyone who has State Farm watch out. We are also thankful we have the extra money to be able to do this.

The driver of the other car also had State Farm insurance. Although it is obvious that I was not at fault, State Farm insisted I pay the $500 deductible. The claims agent was absolutely no help throughout the process. It seems like the agents/company do all they can to maximize your coverage but when you need them, they do all to provide as little support as possible.

I have been with SF for over 15 years. My recent experience with them is absolutely shameful. We added my 18-year-old daughter and her car in July. Our premium went from $120 to $185 (rounding up to make it easier to follow). Yesterday I received a bill in the mail (I pay monthly, not out of my checking account) for $401!!! When I called my agent's office (John **), his staff told me SF just now caught up with the premium change. WHAT??? Then when I told her that the increase in premium was not what the staff had told me it was going to be ($70), she stated, "Well, I don't have a crystal ball". I told her then I shouldn't have been quoted a price change at all.

After a heated discussion, I finally received a call from my agent himself who told me that there was nothing he could do about the premium increase, that if I was to continue making monthly payments, I'd have to pay the $401 for the next 3 months to get caught up and my premium would now be $277. He also told me because my payments don't come out of a checking account, I was being charged DOUBLE and money was set in reserve. I have $181.77 in 'reserve' that I can't touch. He also said that if I agreed to have the premiums come out of my checking account, I'd only have to pay $360 this month and my following months' payments would be the current premium of $276. So how does this all make sense?!?!? He couldn't give me a straight answer.

My concern is if I agree for withdrawal from my checking account, how can I be assured what is taken out will actually be $276? And how is it that if I don't have auto withdrawal I have to pay $401 for the next 3 months but only have to pay $360 once to get caught up WITH auto withdrawal? All sounds fishy and I have lost trust in this company and my agent. I am looking around for a new insurance company.

I have filed a claim with Iowa State Insurance Commission Advocate. It states: I have received a notice on non-renewal, based on 3 claims:

    * 05-26-13: flash flood resulted in storm sewer back up into basement--DISPOSITION: This loss was not covered.
    * 04-19-10: Wind/Hail/Ice DISPOSITION: $649.30.

    * 04-06-10: Wind/Hail/Ice DISPOSITION: $3,683.09.

These dates are not the actual dates of loss. On 2/25/10 & 03/02/10, FEMA declared Iowa a disaster area due to Severe Winter Storms. The State Farm investigator was only here 1 time and decided to split the claims out as was done. On 07/02/13, there was again a disaster declaration that included Poweshiek County "...in the area affected by severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding during the period of May 19 to June 14, 2013." Here in Grinnell, we incurred a flash flood during the early morning of 05/26/13 that flooded many basements. I had 30 of water in my basement.

All three of the claims used by State Farm as reasons to terminate my coverage occurred in conjunction with a FEMA Disaster Declaration. They are all weather related. They do not all occur in a 3-year time span. The time span from the first to the last is actually 37 months, 20 days. I have been with State Farm for more than 20 years, carrying both renter's/homeowner's and auto coverage. Upon receiving the non-renewal notice, 15 days later I received another letter from them denying my request for sewer back-up coverage and stating that my policy would go back to what it had been prior to my request. Hmm, sounds like I still have my homeowner's insurance, right? I call my agent and they checked - nope, I don't have homeowner's insurance. My agent filed an appeal for me - denied.

I'm in my mid 60s, disabled, and have lost my mom, my husband and 2 pets in the last 15 months. Add in a trashed furnace and water heater, along with a lot of possessions in that flood. I'm trying to hold it together here, but I really hope State Farm gets enough consumer complaints to trigger some kind of class action against them.

I need someone to explain what Pay Medical Coverage is and how it works. I pay $52.00 for $25000 coverage. My Daughter has this coverage too and the problem is with my Daughter. My Daughter was in an accident, was rear-ended, pushed 60 feet through a fence, knocked down a concrete pole and the vehicle who hit her continued another 80 feet and hit another vehicle doing considerable damage.

I received a letter from State Farm that my Daughter had $5000 of coverage on a policy she is paying for. I called State Farm and stated that Geico is paying all medical claims. They stated to me that even though the other insurance is covering medical, I should turn in the bills to State Farm and they will pay too sending a check to my daughter. It's a policy you are paying for extra coverage and that she has a $5000 coverage. It is the same as having hospital coverage and buying another policy that pays you cash as long as you are hospitalized.

My agent states, "Since Geico is paying her medical bills, why do you want State Farm to send you a check? None of my other clients send in claims if the other insurance company is paying medical." Because as State Farm stated, it is added insurance. They started paying a year ago and now stopped. My Daughter went to Africa as a missionary for one year to help and her symptoms from the accident weren't serious and it didn't stop her from going. She came back several months early, arm going numb. Didn't think the accident contributed to her problems until she told me. Sometimes whiplash takes days, weeks, months or even years before injury becomes worse.

Wrote a letter to Geico about why she waited several months before going back to doctor. They accepted the explanation and is continuing to cover her medicals. State Farm stopped paying medical to my Daughter when the question came up. Geico is already paying medical. Being she is paying for uninsured motorist insurance already, should not these payments continue even though Geico is paying? I have State Farm for over 35 years and never had a problem before. Thank you.

I WAS A PASSENGER IN A MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT IN DEC 2011. The driver at fault drove into ongoing traffic, crossing into oncoming traffic at 75 mph and hit my stepdaughter's Honda (she was driving the speed limit of 40 mph). Seeing him appear, knowing a huge impact was coming, I grabbed my little dog, cradled her in my knees for protection, looked at my beautiful stepdaughter thinking it could be my last look at her and prayed for the best! Luckily, she and my dog were ok, but the major impact was on my side, and though the car was on fire, I could not get out of the car. My left leg would not support me. I was taken to the Georgetown SC hospital and they crated only my femur bone and sent me home. At the time, I had no medical insurance. I knew I had an ACL knee tear. No orthopedic doctor would see me because I had no medical insurance. It would be 8 weeks before I could return to my home in Raleigh, NC.

The car was evaluated a total loss, and the pictures verify the collision on the passenger side and even a huge indentation of my knee on the dashboard where it hit with tremendous IMPACT! Because there was no medical documentation of my knee injury, State Farm has stood firm on their offer to buy my medical expenses plus $150 for my pain and inconvenience! I haven't been in a wreck in 30 years and so I am NO ambulance CHASER! Everyone knows in this country if you don't have medical insurance, you are just SOL when it comes to getting medical help, even in a case like this. The driver, insured by State Farm, has a terrible driving record, never even got out of his car to check on anyone, just sat there eating his Bojangles chicken. The witness behind us, a chaplain driving a larger size BMW sedan, said had it NOT been for the precision of his auto's brakes he would have hit us from behind and it probably would have seriously injured us or it could have been fatal.

I am appalled by State Farm's attitude, and am now being told by EMS that they are going to start taking their fees out of my Social Security retirement check my bill, since the case has not been settled! Watching State Farm's continuously playing TV ads to the tunes of millions of dollars is sickening to me! I am not asking for some huge, ridiculous amount of money, just a couple of thousand dollars for All I endured through many months of challenges while my knee was healing! If anyone out there has any suggestions, PLEASE contact me! State Farm is horrible.... inflexible and totally unsympathetic to those who are insured by those they insure! I am a disabled, black, female, over 40 years of age and I have been a multi-policy holder with state farm insurance more than 10 years. On Aug. 11, 2010, my new (pristine white) 2013 Toyota Corolla was jacked of 4-17" alloy wheels and deep scratches on both front tire bumper covers. The car was sitting on bricks. I called the Houston pd and received a report.

I called the State Farm 1-800# and was asked where I wanted to send my car for repairs; then I was given Enterprize rental located next to the repair shop. The adjuster came out on Tuesday, the following day, wrote up a Jim Crow estimate for undersized 15" tires, told me I was going to use his vendor who would come out to the apartment, replace tires on the car, and I could drive the car with 15" tires back to Austin. The adjuster did not add body damage estimate because he said it wasn't listed on his work order, even though he took pictures of the missing wheels and the scratches.

Long story short, my car has been sitting in a garage not repaired by State Farm insurance company because they substitute Jim Crow laws for black policy holders to save State Farm money. State Farm insurance company owes me compensatory and punitive damages for intentionally inflicting pain and suffering, for racially profiling me and trying to intimidate me into accepting Jim Crow injustice.

I've been a customer of State Farm for at least 12 years. I have car insurance, life insurance and homeowner's insurance. In the last 12 years, I've attempted 2 claims and State has been there for me exactly zero times. My first claim was a couple years ago, approximately in 2006. It was March. There was an ice storm and I was run off the road. I called my agent who had the Claims department call me. My car, I should add, was not drivable. The Claims department told me that it would be 2 1/2 to 4 weeks before someone could even come out to look at my car to get an estimate and tell me whether they would actually cover the claim. In that 2 1/2-4 weeks if I rented a car and my claim was not covered, they would not pay for the rental either.

I had 2 options: 1) Leave claim open, pay for rental to get to work, pay for car to be stored at garage until estimate could be obtained or pay to tow home and back to garage and chance claim not being covered. Or 2) Close claim, have work done that day out of pocket. I had no choice but to close claim and pay the $3200 in repairs on my own. Thanks for nothing, State Farm!

Now fast forward to July 2013 in Northeastern PA. It rained heavily end of June and more than half of July. Around this time,I came home to find a tiny pond in my first floor bathroom, water literally raining from a vent in the ceiling. My husband went to investigate and found the roof in the cubbyhole of my Cape Cod style house soaked. I called my agent's office ASAP that Monday - it rained all weekend and my ceiling began to sag, bathroom began to smell of mildew, my bathroom felt and still feels wet all the time. So almost 2 weeks later, a claim person calls me while I'm driving my son's preschool group home from a play date so I couldn't answer the phone. However not 10 minutes later while in the driveway of a child's house, I called back and got no answer.

For the next week, I called the claim agent every single day, several times a day trying to catch this woman in her office, left messages, etc. No call back. Finally I press zero to speak with someone else. So here I am at the end of the month on the phone with a guy who begins his conversation seeming to imply I'm dragging my feet in closing the claim (what!!!), then proceeds to speak to me as if I'm interfering with something more important, and I can't understand half the things he is saying because he's muffled (I imagine he was pinching the phone between his head and shoulder and his cheek got in the way). Anyhow I hang up with him and call my agent's office right away. I speak with a woman in his office who tells me that they aren't connected to the Claims department so she can't really help me but suggested I call the original claims lady back and leave another message to call her immediately ((this was another Friday) on Monday.

Claims lady Doesn't call me at all! So I call her again repeatedly now leaving much more assertive messages. I get a letter in the mail that this lady has failed to reach me (basically blaming me!) although she has only called me once total! So another Thursday comes around and my agent's office calls me and basically says the same thing (Why aren't you on top of this claim type call?). It took all my energy not to scream at her that I've been basically begging this claims lady to call me back so I could understand why I needed a plumber for a roof leak! Now, my agent's office says they'll call her and tell her to handle my call. I tell my agent to please tell her NOT to call at a specific time because I CANNOT answer the phone as I am driving children.

Monday, 3 days later this woman calls me at the exact time I CANNOT speak to her, REALLY?!?! Why? I stopped the car and called her right back on the side of the road, did not answer. Meanwhile it's raining, raining and raining! So that week, I call my agent's office again and am told the person I want to speak to is at lunch and will call me back, nope! The next day, I call my agent's office at a different time and this person is on lunch again but will call me back when she gets back at 1 pm. Well almost 4 pm she calls me. I'm fuming. I pay these people religiously and on time every single month and all my accounts are auto and I'm speaking to them about more policies and more coverage which means more money to them!

So finally she calls me and has different lady from the claims office call me back. This woman talks to me as if I'm stupid but finally sets up for an estimator to come out. Of course I have to wait another week and it continues to rain! So, estimator comes out, says the claim is partly covered. Apparently, my roof was built wrong. The roofing company failed to seal a pipe so that's not damage. That's "regular wear" but the damage it caused is covered. So I have to wait ANOTHER week to find out how much is covered, etc.

Today, 8/28/2013, a heavy rain, flood watch day... I get a packet explaining that I'm covered for $1119.00 and the estimated work is about $1600. But since I have depreciation and a $1000 deductible, I'm getting a check for $119 to cover the work! What!?!?!? Not even 10% of the cost of estimated work will be covered! So basically, I spent the last 2 months begging, taking time out of my day every day to try to force the insurance company to do what they "promise" on their million dollar commercials only to find that my house is more and more damaged as it rains while waiting. I'm angry, wasting my time for them to tell me that my insurance is going to go up because I now have a claim and they aren't even covering the paint needed to complete the job.

So I'm stuck with paying for it out of pocket and it (with my luck) will likely be thousands of dollars. Ha ha, you laugh and say but Monica if the construction people think it's going to cost more, then call insurance before work is completed, so you say! However, none of the contractors I've had out will open the ceiling to estimate damage without written permission from insurance to open the ceiling. Every one of them said they will not be on the hook if they open the ceiling and the insurance company says they shouldn't have which I explained to the insurance company 3 different times! Thank you for NOTHING, State Farm. I have no choice but to close the claim because the only good it's doing me is increasing my premium. I guess that's what they aim for, huh.

In addition to all these troubles, I guess when you go 12 years without meeting your actual agent even though you've been at his office at least 30 times, it should have been a sign it was never about taking care of me but taking my money. I am now awaiting a call from my agent to close the claim and in search of a new insurance company.

Please get them out of our state of Ohio. People feel they have a sense of security till they file a claim. The complaint are filed and denied by State Farm. I filed with the ODI, Ohio Attorney General and would be happy to join a class action suit.

Wrong by law is wrong by law. The statues are specific. You can’t pull forward and stop into on-going traffic, and you certainly can’t pull back in reverse across 2 lanes just to pull into a driveway so your groceries in your trunk are closer to your front door. But it is my fault being in my lane minding my own business and getting t-boned. If it happened to one of their agents I am sure they would say it was there fault .Well I can fix my car and hire a great attorney. On principles alone, I will not settle for any offer… just my day in court. I do feel bad for the multitudes that cannot do what I can. State Farm depends on people just going away. Since I had already stopped and thought she was going to stop too, so I went ahead and turned left. She never did her stop and ran into my front and back tire and right passenger side causing injuries to my right arm and neck. When we came to share info, I found out she had also State Farm. Remind you, I haven't had a car accident in 10 yrs so I don't know what to do. She did not looked injured.

Long story short, my claim was denied because she lied and we had the same claim adjuster making all this a conflict of interest. Since I didn't call the police but I placed a police report the day after, no attorney wants to take my case. Now my car is not working well and they are giving me the runarounds. I am tired, mad, angry, sad because I cannot get the help I need. I complained to the State of CA Insurance commissioner officer and just got a letter saying there's an investigation. But meanwhile I'm still injured and dealing with all this State Farm mess. So please do not get them. So far 2 attorneys won't take my case and just feel hopeless. This is not fair that I'm paying for someone else's mistake. On another note, does anyone have an idea on what I can do? Or who can I call. I do not want to keep paying for a car that is not functioning properly and feel angry that they're just playing stupid. Any advice?

Last summer I got T-boned by a teenager driving her mom's car and who was visiting Kansas City. Luckily no one was hurt and luckily (or so I thought at the time)... she had insurance. When I mentioned my accident to my fellow Officers at Leavenworth and told them I was glad she had insurance a few laughed because I mentioned State Farm... The phrase, "Don't hold your breath" was used a few times. At the time I will admit that I was pleased with the way they handled everything... not as expeditiously as USAA (my insurance) but oh well. Repairs were made, back driver side door was replaced... and I thought nothing of their warnings until a few weeks ago. The interior locking mechanism for the door, a new part and one that had never failed in any of my doors before went bad. I use this car for work and drive to and from the base by myself... Rarely do I carry passengers.

So I called the repair shop that called State Farm so they would approve the replacement part purchase and installation. The repair shop called them and left messages 4 times until State Farm finally got back with me and told me that the part was no longer under warranty; it was normal wear and tear. I argued that the other locks (not damaged in the accident) did not go bad (original and working for 7 years) and that their part went out in 15 months and that they promise a lifetime warranty on the repairs. No luck.

So folks... If you get your car repaired under the "insurance protection" of this "honest" company... well just hope and pray something will go bad quickly... I would hate that something like your brake system, your steering, etc which you use normally, might go bad. It will take some work but I should be able to fix the part myself, but you don't want to be going down the road and have the "normal wear and tear" bug hit you.

Both front and rear bumpers and a front bar needed to be replaced. At the repair shop we spent 2 weeks arguing with State Farm over what needed to be considered as a result of the accident.

They finally agreed to run a diagnostic on the engine which proved inconclusive to any damage being the result of the accident. The light has been reset and we now wait to see if it will come on again. In addition, the repair shop was unable to reset the air bag warning system and discovered a problem with sensors. Upon notification, State Farm refused to cover the repair, stating the sensors were under recall. My car is currently at the dealership for investigation. There is no recall regarding the air bag system on our car.

Apparently the SRS control unit has been damaged, but cannot determine the cause based on current information. However, all warning system lights were illuminated with the accident and not before. The car has been meticulously maintained since we purchased new from the dealership in 2005. There were no existing problems before the accident and now after a full month, we are being left with hundreds of dollars of repairs to pay on our own because State Farm denies responsibility.

My Family has been with State Farm for years (starting with my grandparents), and we have been nothing but satisfied with the service we have received from them. Always prompt with any follow ups regarding claims, and are very fair. While they might be more expensive compared to some of the budget providers which advertise a lot, State Farm is there when you need them. When it comes to your insurance and large payments which are unexpected, I would much rather pay a little more for that peace of mind.

I had State Farm many years ago, and I had no issues with them as I had no tickets, no accidents, etc. the entire time I had insurance with them. I just paid my payment and life went on. Then years later, I got divorced and switched to another insurance company that was cheaper. I have a relative with MS, and she recently asked me to move into her house to help her for a year, so I did. She has State Farm. I went into their local office with her and switched to them since they offered me a much cheaper payment under her household discounts, but paid for my own individual car insurance on my car. Not 3 weeks into the new policy with them they sent me a cancellation notice due to someone not giving them a driver in the household's information on someone who used to live with my relative, but he no longer does. There was no warning, no verifying it, nothing.

They sent me back a refund check for my payment and it was all done. I was cancelled just like that. I called the office and even spoke with the Agent himself and since someone did not verify it when they asked for it, my coverage was cancelled... Not my relative's policy who is responsible for it to begin with. She has all her coverages still active... I asked why am I being cancelled for something that has nothing to do with me, and I was not asked when signing-up about him? No one gave me a reason other than the information was not given, so I got cancelled. Now my insurance credit score on me is considered a High Risk, and I'm looking around for another car insurance companies which all are presenting me with triple the amount that I normally paid for the exact same coverage. This is wrong and after this experience I will not return to State Farm again.

We have struggled for over a year, with all but one payment, from our "insurance provider". If they can "refuse" to pay by denying the claim, I see why so many are denied. Before the accident, my wife worked full-time as a nurse. Now we are reduced to living on public assistance, and my SSI disability checks... Sad... especially when you consider the fact that the "law" requires us to "maintain" insurance... For what purpose??? We've paid into the "government" and can barely get public assistance! We've paid our premiums, only to be disappointed, in our time of need (after the accident)...

Three weeks ago my daughter (who is also on the policy) was in a no-fault accident with another driver who had no insurance and was driving on a suspended license. I am still awaiting word from State Farm as to the status of my car. On their defense, they did have a problem retrieving the vehicle from a fraudulent tow company (which was later found out); however, it took them at least a week to get the vehicle. To date, I have found out no information about my vehicle and when and if it will be fixed or resolved. I have called my Claims Adjuster, unsuccessful in getting results and feel this process is taking to long.

To add insult to injury, when the accident first happened, I learned that I was not covered under the rental policy, which was never told to me by the original agent (who convinced me he could get me a lower rate, which was false). I also have renter's insurance with State Farm, and told the agent that if I was paying the extra expense of paying for renter's insurance why would I not have included the car rental in case of an accident. I further found that I did not actually have full coverage as the agent had informed, and have paid the cost renting a car until they decide to let me know what is going on.

I am highly upset and no one seems to give a damn! At this point, I'd like to know if there is any legal recourse toward State Farm and the Tow Company that towed my vehicle and held it hostage for more than 10 days because State Farm did not want to pay the bogus claim of a $1100 tow. I need help in getting this resolved and I would like to be reimbursed for all my travel fees I have paid thus far. I would not recommend State Farm to anyone.

I thought this was ridiculous and spoke to the head teller, guess what she said???? They would not accept the check at all since it was hand written!

I called STATE FARM claims and they said take it to a check cashing place and I would have to pay the fee. It is deliberately, wrongful, and misleading for State Farm to file an auto claim that wasn't my fault, as a collision claim.

It is also deliberately, wrongful and misleading for State Farm to deny pain and suffering compensations to the passengers that were in my vehicle on July 2, 2013. This not at fault, auto accident is going to be on my record, as an at fault accident, if state Farm do not change my claim, which means wrongful points will be taken off my driver license. I, the Policyholder, should not have to pay my passengers out of my pocket, when it is State Farm's duty and contractual obligation not to refuse payment and prolong payments for a Legal Insurance claim, which is bad faith on State Farm's BEHALF.

Please Sign The Coming Soon Petition Against State Farm...

I had an accident. I was rear ended from behind. When I looked at my bumper I saw that the lady had knocked paint off my bumper, no dent, so being a good person, (GOOD NEIGHBOR as State Farm claim to be) I let her go, as well to find out that my car would not start and that there were other damages that had been done to my car from the accident.

Besides myself I had 4 more people in the car, 3 of them were children and the other was an adult, all relatives. They all suffer pain from the accident, which caused the children to not return to day care. They all took over the counter medications for their pain, but if their pain worsen, the kids, their mother and I will be going to the Doctor to seek medical care for pain, stiffness, as well as, soreness. The auto accident that was not my fault (not caused by me), have the children in fear. At times they can't sleep, they can't eat and they have nightmares because of the auto accident.

As for the adult that was in my car and do not live in my house, she had to pay extra for a sitter to keep her children, who was injured in my car, because they were unable to return to daycare due to body pain caused by the wreck, and she also had to pay the day care center for service, too. She during the time of the accident had a television in my car. Later the adult passenger, who was in my vehicle talked to Robbin **, who was handling the medical coverage and was willing to pay their doctor bills, (but at this time there were not any bills). Sometime after, I talked to State Farm Rep. Ronald **.

I was told by State Farm auto insurance Rep. Ronald ** that since I let the lady go, the automobile accident was my fault, and that my passengers are not entitle to pain and suffering from State Farm, but they are entitled to have their medical bills paid only because I have medical coverage. However when I asked him to send the submitted false statement in writing to me stating that the accident was blame on me, he held the line for a while before he said no. Surely, for State Farm to avoid, fully covering my claim and by State Farm Rep. Ronald ** falsely blaming the accident on me, means that State Farm will raise my insurance premiums.

Since Ronald ** mind was set on the accident being my fault, I asked him to give me the CEO name, phone number and I also asked him for the CEO secretary, name and phone number, he would not give it to me, he told me that he didn't know their names and numbers, which went on and on and on. I told him you mean to tell me, you don't know the CEO, name, he said again no. I said again, you mean to tell me that you don't know the CEO name. He then said wait. After that Ronald ** told me that the CEO name was Ed Rust. However I found that the CEO name was and appeared on the Internet websites, also as Edward B. Rust.

Then he told me that he could give me his supervisor name. I told him that I don't need your supervisor name, what I need is the manager name who, is over your supervisor. He told me that he could not give me the Manager name who, was over his supervisor, but again he said I can give you my supervisor name. When I gave in and said OK give me your supervisor name and number, he started to give me the runner around. He held the line for a while, before he told me his supervisor name. Finally I called his supervisor Russell ** and left a message along, with my phone number, on his machine, explaining what I was going through with State Farm claim Rep. Ronald **. Russell ** never returned my call, which was Monday July 8, 2013 and today is Friday July 12, 2013.

So, I called State Farm back and asked to file a Consumer Complaint. The man on the other end asked for my claim number. After I gave him my claim number, he gave me the wrong phone number **, but keep in mind I repeated the number to him to make sure I had written down the correct number. Since I was given the wrong number I called back. This time I talked to a lady. She also asked me for my claim number. I gave her my claim number and she connected me to a phone, which had a busy signal, without giving me the complaint number. So again, I called back and talked to another lady, but this time I did not give out my claim number, instead, I asked her again and again for the Consumer Complaint number, which is ** before it was given to me.

Finally I called the Consumer Complaint number and file a complaint against State Farm for the bad faith in which my claim was being handled by Ronald **, who has a nasty voice tone. I was told it would take two to three days before I hear from anyone. Well it has been over two days and I have not heard from anyone from State Farm. Afterward, I called the Corporate Office to speak to the CEO, Edward B. Rust. I got a machine, so I left a message explaining everything along with my phone number.

Later, a lady name Evelyn called me. She told me that she was calling from the Corporate Office, but for the reason by the sound of her voice, I thought I had talked to her before, which lead me to believe that she was not calling from the Corporate Office. Anyway, she then went on to say that they were going to contact Ronald ** Supervisor and have him call me, but whatever, Ronald ** supervisor, namely Russell ** says his decision, as to handling my claim is final, she repeated herself it will be final.

Evelyn went on to say that they don't get in disputes with Employees and Policyholders, but she said she was going to write him concerning my auto claim and she said that it would be in my favor. She reassured me that I will definitely here from Russell ** by Friday July 12, 2013. Well today is Friday July 12, 2013 and I have not heard from Russell ** and nor have I heard from anyone from State Farm. Keep in mind not only did Evelyn from the Corporate Office supposedly email him, I left Russell ** a telephone message on Monday July 8, 2013 and still I say I haven't heard from him. Although, we the victims have cooperated 100% with stated Farm, we should not have to continue to try and contact State Farm on an ongoing basic to settle this prolonging claim, they don't have to contact me for my premiums.

My auto insurance coverage consisted of: Liability, Medical Payments, Collision, Comprehensive, Uninsured Motor vehicle, car Rental, Emergency Road Service, use of none owned cars, Loss of Hearing, Physical Damage, Death Dismemberment and Loss of Sight .

This wreck and State Farm Claim Rep. Ronald ** have caused me, as well as 4 people with injuries, who were in my vehicle during the accident to go through emotional and physical stress. This accident was not my fault therefore you should not blame me to gain profit by raising my insurance premiums. It is bad faith on State Farm part to not pay or to prolong pain and suffering claims to the victims of an auto accident, who are covered by State Farm Insurance. I should not have to pay my passengers for their pain and suffering when I have State Farm Full Coverage Insurance, on my Vehicle.

Now, in knowledge of false information is defined, as being actual knowledge, deliberate ignorance of the truth or falsity of the information, or reckless disregard of the truth.

State Farm is a Mutual Company (it is owned by its Policyholders, it doesnt have shares that trade publicly) which means without Policyholders, State Farm would not EXIST.

A Consultant Firm whom I won't name at this particular time, court records showed that State Farm hired the Firm as a consultant. The Consultant Firm developed methods for companies to become more profitable by paying out less in claims according to Videotaped evidence presented in Court. Below are the Consultant Firm Methods for the Company: When a Policyholder files a claim, first make a low offer, if a Policyholder (customer) protests or hires a lawyer the company should fight back. The Consultant Company slides, which were presented in Court can discourage Policyholders (claimants) by delaying settlement and stalling court proceedings.

By postponing payments insurance companies can hold money longer and make more on their investments and often wear down Policyholders (clients) to the point of dropping a claim. By paying less to its Policyholders will lifted their income. Town hall meetings with adjusters have been held to urge them to pay less to Policyholders.

No Policyholder should ever have to go through something like this from any Insurance company. I pay my premium for full coverage Auto Insurance monthly and for State Farm to do business in a bad faith way is very unprofessional on their part. This type of doing business gives State Farm a bad name. The lie, as to I was at fault and the denied payments of this Legitimate, pain and suffering claim is BAD FAITH on State Farm's BEHALF.

In my opinion, to avoid fully covering my claim completely, State Farm Rep. Ronald ** falsely blamed the accident on me and said I was at fault, which means State Farm will raise, again, I say my Insurance Premiums. This should have been resolved in a timely manner.

On Monday July 15, 2013, I finally received a call from Russell **. Russell ** answer was no, I don't know if your Insurance will go up. His answer was no, I cannot give you anything in writing stating that your insurance won't go up. His answer was no, I cannot give you anything in writing stating that the accident won't be charge to you and his answer was no, I cannot pay pain and suffering to your passengers. He went in silent mode, which means he did not answer me, when I addressed to him that Ronald ** told me that the accident was charge to me, will be on my record, and my premium will go up. He also went in silent mode when I addressed the baby sitter expenses, day care expenses, as well as, the car seats and the passenger, television set that was in my car.

However, after we continued to go back and forth with one another, which was the the last time that we spoke to one another, Russell **, through phone conversation told me that he will have to see about whether the passengers in my car are entitle to pain and suffering. As of this day I have not heard back from him.

I recalled about what Evelyn from Corporate Headquarters told to me, Mr. Russell ** decision, as to handling my auto accident claim is final, she repeated, it will be final, which was a truthful statement. Therefore whether wrong or right Russell ** decision is final, but I can't settle for wrongful decisions made by Russell ** and State Farm Executive Employees.

On July 15, 2013, after Russell ** and I had disagreed twice (because I stood up for myself), through phone conversations the rental car service was discontinued without warning. The next day the Rental car service called me, which was on July 16, 2013. The tone of the Rental car lady voice was in surprise mode after she realized that I had not been notified by State Farm to return the Rental. In my opinion according to State Farm consultant court records things like this happens when you speak up for yourself.

Of course the RENTAL CAR was set up from July 2, 2013 to July 16, 2013. Now I have to pay out of my pocket for an extra day of Rental in which I have a document in writing, stating, when the Rental service will end, July 16, 2013, which is today. I was also told by State Farm employee who set up the Rental for me, when the rental service was going to end, which was on July 16, 2013.

Anyway, I pick up my car today July 16, 2013, from the repair shop even though my auto claim has not been settled by State Farm.

Although my vehicle has been repaired the following things below, which are included in with the auto accident claim must be settled by State Farm. I want State Farm to rewrite the auto accident in a truthfully manner. Just because it is wrote up as I was hit from behind does not mean it won't be charge to me. According to Ronald ** the accident is charged to me and is my fault because I let the other vehicle go for knocking paint off my bumper afterwards to see that more damage was done to my car, as well. I want State Farm to not raise my Insurance Premiums, but how will I know, without taking State Farm word for it, after all in my opinion, premiums goes up more than pennies on a dollar without policyholders knowing why.

I want State Farm to settle the pain and suffering auto claim for my passengers and if possible for myself, as well. I want State Farm to reimburse me for the July 16, 2013 rental service. I want State Farm to reimburse the adult passenger baby sitter and day care expenses for the days that her children could not attend daycare, because of their injuries what the accident caused and at the same time, the adult passenger still had to pay day care expenses, too. I want State farm to replace the passengers, car seats and the television set that was also in my car.

    Factual facts:

Liability insurance-Body injuries is used to pay for the following: Medical bills, time lost from work, legal representation for injured parties, funeral expenses, long-term rehabilitation or nursing care and pain and suffering.

State Farm Claims Employees, Ronald ** and Russell ** have caused me, as well as the people with injuries, who were in my vehicle during the accident to go through emotional and physical stress.

In my opinion, with regard to bad faith, State Farm has demonstrated an element of dishonest, moral obliquity, and an ill will to support bad faith not only to me but to other, Auto Policyholders, Homeowners Policyholders, Rental Policyholders, Hurricane Policyholders, Tornado Policyholders, Storms Policyholders, Earthquakes Policyholders and Businesses Policyholders in the United States, and Canada, too, as well as, Policyholders all around the world. State Farm Policyholders must stand up for what they believe is right.

State Farm did everything they could to save money at my expense and on my loss. I asked questions and they gave me lawyer-like customer service reps that recited fine print and had no regard for my experience or time of need. A natural disaster sandstorm destroyed the paint on my car. I dropped the car off for repairs and didn't get it back for almost two months. The repair shop initially said the work would take 7-10 days. When I asked what the delay was about, they told me that State Farm did not approve all repairs. In order to try and save money, State Farm approved repair work incrementally.

On day one they denied a full repair. They try to short change the customer by giving the car back only partially repaired. If you don't accept the partial repair, they will take the car back and issue more payments for repair work, but each time you wait 2-3 business days for an appraiser to go visit the car before a check is issued which takes more time, before work is ever done. I waited 38 days for this process. They work in this way to save money at the customer's expense. They have customer service representatives that recite fine print like lawyers when you start digging and asking questions. They have no regard or concern for the customer, just profit.

I am a very intelligent and successful young man. I seek truth and honesty in everything I do. I expect the same in the insurance services I engage. I wanted to know why the insurance company I employ to protect me from this type of incident would leave me out in the cold and barrage me with harsh lawyer-like, cost saving customer service replies. I have called every supervisor and manager, all the way up to the CEO's office, Edward Barry Rust Jr. or Ed Rust Jr. as well as the executive he passed my phone call off to, Joshua **. They can both be reached at the State Farm Headquarters in Bloomington, IL at 3097666393.

No one cared about the customer's experience. The big executives act like they do, but then pass you off to a robotic, lawyer-esque "executive" customer service rep. State Farm exists for profit. In a major loss situation like this, they do everything they can to NOT pay out on your loss. When you are in a time of need, they will leave you out in the cold. If you ask questions, they give you lawyer-like customer service reps that recite fine print despite the customer's experience in a time of need. Don't trust State Farm.

We have had State Farm for 26 years. No major problems, until recently. In early February, we junked one of the vehicles on our policy and turned in the plates on that, and another vehicle which we were going to park for a while. All was done according to regulations. We then purchased 2 different vehicles and filled out all papers for coverage for these vehicles. Every time we get a bill, the old cars are still on it and the new cars are not. We have received 3 requests from the loan company for one of our cars, asking for verification that we have insurance on this car... State Farm keeps saying they have taken care of it, and they haven't.

We tried to file a claim for one of our cars because a rock hit it and chipped the paint, and State Farm did not have coverage on it, even though we are making payments on it and it's required by law. We have tried to speak with our agent, Matt **, and he is never in his office. I called corporate headquarters about this whole mess, and they seemed unconcerned. Three months ago, I was rear ended by another driver who is also insured by State Farm. I drive a Hybrid, and the other driver was in a new Corvette. After I accidentally cut him off, the other driver chased me through road construction for 2 miles, passing me multiple times and braking in front of me. Then slowing down and waving wildly at me as he moved behind me only to race forward again, and finally rear ending me. I pulled over on the first side street and got out after he pulled up behind me and approached him to get his insurance information. The other driver rolls down his window when I get to him. And as I ask for his insurance info, he aims his chrome 1911 handgun at me and tells me to "get the ** back or he'll kill me". At which point I call the police.

By the time the cops get there, he has the gun sitting unholstered on the seat next to him and claims to have never pointed it at me. The cops say they can't do anything since it's his word against mine, and there were no witnesses. I contact State Farm, and they are so shocked and tell me to go to one of their collision shops and that everything will be handled, no problem.

Three months later, I finally get my bumper fixed. I took that long because their shop dropped the ball big time. When I pick up my car, I'm told I have to pay my deductible, which is weird since I was rear ended I wasn't expecting that. So I pay it figuring State Farm will reimburse me. I call them on the way home, only to discover that their "investigator", who is handling both claims and has never visited the accident scene has made a determination that both drivers are equally liable.

The Monday after I pick my car back up, I get a call from the rental company. State Farm has denied payment for the rental car I was given while my car was in the shop. So I call State Farm back and am told that since I'm liable, they won't pay for my rental car through the other drivers' insurance and that my full 100% coverage doesn't cover that. So I have to call the rental company back and have them charge my card for the rental. My Agent is "shocked" that I was found liable when I was rear ended, so are my co-workers, who are also all law enforcement. Oh did I forget to mention that? Yeah I'm federal law enforcement, but apparently my word isn't as good as the guy who rear ended me.

The other driver was completely at fault and admitted fault at the scene of the accident. I am a self-employed general contractor who pays for several insurances including commercial liability and workers compensation. The other driver hit us at approximately 40-50 mph. The truck that I was driving was full of tools and were thrown from the vehicle and were all over the highway and some were in the truck in front of me. This accident occurred on a Friday morning. By the following Monday, State Farm informed me that any injuries claimed as a result of the wreck by myself or the employee who was in my vehicle at the time of the wreck would go on my workers comp insurance.

My truck had several dents on the hood and the roof from tools landing and striking my vehicle from the impact. Both myself and the employee who was in the vehicle sustained injuries that have turned out to be serious and State Farm has denied everything from day one. My employee has herniated discs and requires back surgery, and I have severe whiplash which will probably have lifelong consequences. I never believed in whiplash or what the effects are. It is no joke and the worst part is not the neck pain, it is the mental effects of the brain injury that are really bad (loss of memory, anxiety, depression). My vehicle was in the shop for 8.5 weeks with me battling State Farm. They denied damages to my vehicle stating it was inconsistent with the kind of wreck, or it was previous damage and so on.

In the end, I forced them to purchase my vehicle from me after it was repaired, the tranny slipped, the CD player was broken, and the vehicle vibrated at highway speed. I had to battle to get the tools repaired that were damaged in the accident. Then the medical battle continued and I had to get a lawyer (should have done that day one). I am not a litigious person and I have never retained a lawyer for anything nor have I wanted to ever in my life. That being said, we went all the way to court and the State Farm lawyer (Bob **) was a completely dishonest person. How Mr. ** lives with himself is beyond me. He has built a career out of screwing paying customers out of their benefits that they pay for. Mr. ** set a motion in court that we could not mention the insurance company or any insurance for that matter.

He then presented the case in a way that made it appear that we were suing the other driver personally, and that he would have to pay out of pocket. The end result is that State Farm got out of paying for the back surgery for my former employee and in the end because we lost the lawsuit, I have to pay for their hired professional witnesses to the tune of $10,000. My former employee will live with a bad back the rest of his life and will never work construction again. For me, I will have neck pain the rest of my life and I have the joy of paying court costs to get screwed legally like a good neighbor State Farm was there. Do not use State Farm and spread the word. This organization is bad. Don’t give them your business.

The rep said they are waiting for their client to call and report the accident. They tried to call, but the number was out of service. The State Farm rep said their process is to wait a week, then send her a letter, wait another week, and if there's no response, they will escalate the case to a different department, then the wait starts again. They were supposed to withdraw the payment from my account, which never happened. Then this month, they sent me a notice of cancellation for nonpayment. I called and they said they screwed up, but I had to pay an additional $7.00 to start it again. I have had nothing but problems since I switched. I have my house insurance also with them. You guessed it - problems. I have never been without a house or car insurance and have never received a cancellation notice since I've been driving. I am so sorry that I switched and I may be going back with Liberty Mutual. So sorry I changed companies.

My car was new to me but not brand new so I just want what I paid for it including brand new muffler I put on it a week before the accident. They have made me two separate offers for my totaled vehicle and both were less than half the value of what it costs to replace it through certified dealers. I had to get quotes from certified dealers of actual costs of similar vehicles and fax to the total loss claims rep. They are still blowing me off and won't return my calls. I will call them every day until it's settled. Also, I have one other vehicle insured with State Farm and have been with them since 1986. Believe me, that is going to change quickly.

My mission in life now is to shed this negative impact through every social media that I know of in hopes that other consumers get a real instance review of how State Farm treats people. I was hit from behind while stopped at a red light on April 29, 2013 in Jonesboro, GA. The at-fault driver had State Farm insurance. I had about $1,000 worth of damage done to my brand new 2013 Ford Focus that I hadn't even made the first payment on yet. State Farm fixed the car (using used parts, of course) and so now, I have a brand new car with used parts that has been in an accident. State Farm offered me less than $200 for the diminished value. It is a joke. I know that in the future when I go to trade in or sell my car that it will not be worth as much because it has been in an accident and it has used parts and all that, but State Farm doesn't care and doesn't even take into account that it is a brand new car and in excellent condition (or was before the accident).

So now, I have 5 years worth of payments on a 2013 car that I got one month before the accident with used parts on it that has an accident on record for it. I am so screwed. The only way for me to try to recoup my losses is to sue the at-fault driver in small claims court for the diminished value. What the heck is insurance supposed to be for if not to cover your property damage loss? Why do drivers even have insurance if I have to go after the at-fault driver myself? He might as well have not had insurance. I am so bummed about finally getting a new car that doesn't break down all the time and then now, I have had to deal with this accident and my claim with State Farm.

I am glad I don't have State Farm, and never will. Why can't there be ethics in the insurance world and just do the right thing and cover people's losses fairly? It is not my fault they have a bad driver who runs into people while stopped at red lights. I wish I had never got hit or if I had to get hit, it would have been by someone with a reputable insurance company who understands the value of new cars to their owners. I'm so bummed out about this whole thing. State Farm in not a good (or ethical) neighbor.

When she told me she would have to pay if her bumper was compromised because of her deductible, I called State Farm on her behalf. This should have been a State Farm responsibility from the very beginning.

The Result: State Farm called a week after I left my message and said that their client blamed the accident on my daughter for the bumping. There was no "How's the baby," no "I hear you still have neck pain; how are you," no "No investigation."

The Action: I told my daughter to file a complaint with the Insurance Commissioner of Oregon. I also said to never leave an accident site if the other involved person is insured with State Farm. Call the police even if you have to fake an injury to get them to investigate.

Even though it says on that notice "Please disregard if already paid," and it had not even been 6 months yet, I called State Farm to ask them what this was for and to get rid of it since I had no premium payments due. They said they would look into it and call me back.

I received a call from State Farm, I believe, on Monday, May 6th, months later. They said I had a payment of $21.64 due and I asked them what this was for, that I already paid for my full 6 months' coverage, and that I already called them in regards to this mistaken charge and they never called me back to inform me that they took care of it. She said she didn't know what it was for and would find out and take care of it since I already paid and didn't have premium payments due. She said she would call the regional office and would call me right back. She never called me back.

State Farm ended up cancelling my policy without telling me and without ever calling me back. I was unknowingly driving for days without car insurance coverage and, unfortunately, was hit by a car on Friday, May 10th. State Farm isn't covering me. The shop where my car is sitting isn't able to work on my car until the insurance agent looks at it and I need a rental car for work. I was recently in an accident with a tractor trailer, in which the tractor trailer was at fault. Not once, did they inquire about my well-being, but instead told me to call the trucking company's insurance company myself. I thought that was what I paid them to do. When I was with Progressive, they did the work. Meanwhile, I was getting reports, calling insurance offices, getting damage estimates, etc. They still have not cared to follow up. I am just shocked, even if you did not care, I would at least think that inquiring about your customers’ well-being would be the first thing on your list to speak about.

Also, I changed my banking information and was trying to rent a car to go to my grandfather's funeral. The gentleman on the phone, I believe his name was Luis, stated I have no insurance. However, I provided proof that money was deducted from my account two days prior. He stated Mimi **’s office received the payment, however, until the money gets to John’s Creek Office, they cannot verify my insurance to the rental car company. He said it usually always is a 3- to 5-day lapse from when Mimi **'s office receives the payment and when Johns' Creek office can verify if the payment was active.

I was trying to dispute that either way my payment is in your office's account, and I have a valid up to date insurance card. They still refused to verify. He told me to call Mimi ** directly. I did, and she stated, "I have not been at the office in a week, call my office manager and let her handle it." I did… no response. I ended up having to pay extra for the car rental's insurance. It is just the demeanor of those in that office; there is always a nicer way to speak to people. I no longer want to be with that office and will change to another State Farm office. Back in 02/02/2013, I mailed out a check directly to State Farm Ins. to cover the entire quarter of his auto insurance, $303.00. On March 15, 2013, we received a statement for $178 and I wrote out a check & mailed it out. On 04/17/2013, my son got a letter of cancellation as of 02/21/2013 for non-payment of premium. I called State Farm up and asked how this could happen. They said the "Funding Corp." recommended cancellation for non-payment. I said to them I have my bank statement in front of me saying that the check was posted to my acct. & cleared on 02/20/2013.

I got nowhere with this lady and asked to speak to someone higher up. I got the same story that once the Funding Corp. says cancel, they cancel and this cannot be reversed. I called the Funding Corp. They said that State Farm is one of the very few that will not reverse their decision on cancellations. The lady at the funding corp. told me to have the manager of State Farm call her to help change her mind. State Farm refused to do anything but cancel. I told the lady my son is learning disabled & I am taking over his finances so these problems don't happen anymore; she didn't care. I told them that I was sent another statement in March and, "We paid that, so why are they cancelling him now?"

The statement even acknowledged the payment that cleared the day before it was cancelled. Despite all the documentation showing the premium was in their bank acct. and knowing my son depends on his car to keep his job, they blindly cancelled his policy with no care about how he's going to get to work and take care of his children. Their "Good Neighbor Policy" is just another way to falsely advertise to take as much money from us as possible.

The people at the funding corp. said State Farm is one of the very few companies that will not reinstate a cancelled policy. In fact, most companies easily reverse their decisions and reinstate just so the customer is happily satisfied, especially when somebody's job is hanging on the insurance company's decision. The highest ranking manager from State Farm, Maureen, even said she gets hundreds of calls like this every week and if she did it for him, she would have to do it for all of them. I said "Why not if the money is in State Farm's bank acct.? They should all be reinstated."

I suppose being one of the largest insurers in the nation, they don't have a budget for undoing their mistakes. They are not "like a good neighbor" at all. I have supporting documents, but this site tells me to upload a valid image. They are valid images of the paperwork I received from State Farm And Conmac Funding Corp.

After being a loyal customer for 42 years, the latter of them being with my husband and 3 sons (for auto ins.) and insuring my home with State Farm, I received a cancellation notice today for our vehicles due to a report from their contracted 'risk assessment' company. They listed any infractions by those on the policy (currently 4) most negligible. My husband did have a DUI (his 1st, but a crime comparable to murder in the lovely state of Virginia) in 2011 but was told by our State Farm agent at the time that that wouldn't pose a problem to our car ins. policy. He had had a totally clean record before that. No speeding tickets, nothing. We trusted them and then this.

I have paid out so much money to State Farm throughout the 42 years. I have been a loyal customer (though I don't know why now). I paid tough premium rates when my 3 boys started driving at age 16 and watched my premiums increase every time there was a minor fender-bender so they wouldn't have to shell out a dime. This is totally a racket. I guess I've been a bit naive. Part of ObamaCare was to 'reign in' the crooks in the medical insurance industry. We need something similar for the car insurance industry as well.

Some folks at State Farm are raking in bonuses when they drop their 'loyal customers' after bleeding them dry. It is probably easier and cheaper to purchase, use and sell guns in this country than to drive a vehicle. What gives? Any insight would be appreciated. Oh, and State Farm has the nerve at the same time to mail my 24 year old son at my house an invitation to join the State Farm family for all of his insurance needs. Are they crazy?

The person he talked to later left a voicemail stating what the amount would be and to call back because she wanted to talk to him about car insurance since she saw he was on my policy. He did not call back because he wasn't interested in a change in car insurance and he had the understanding that she was moving forward with the rental insurance they had previously discussed and this would be billed to him. She did not mention anything in her voicemail that she needed a payment or to talk to him to move forward.

March 2, the property he was renting was destroyed in a fire. When he called for a claim, he was told there was no coverage. I requested a meeting with Dave ** to discuss the misunderstanding. He was very condescending, arrogant and disrespectful. He kept reminding us that he has been in the business for 38 years and why would we think he had coverage without actually making a payment. I stated there were numerous instances where I didn't have to make an immediate payment because it was billed. He was very argumentative and asked me for examples. My son was very upset having just survived the fire and being treated like this. My son told him he was being disrespectful and he did use some swear words. Instead of Mr. ** taking into the account the trauma my son had just gone through, he stated that my son talking like that showed his intelligence. I asked him if we could play the voicemail message to show why we had the misunderstanding and he responded, “If it makes you feel better.”

I asked why wouldn't they follow up with a phone call if they had not heard from my son for 2 weeks. He responded they don't follow up with people who inquired about rental insurance. I took that to mean he doesn't value their business and certainly didn't value our business as long term customers. Not one time did he express sympathy or concern for my son surviving the fire.

Now, because they had to, they increased my premium again. I did not even report a claim. They have also said something about me having to write to them, and I couldn't call them. So they won't even let me report a claim. They should be blown off the face of this earth. And all the agencies and complaint bureaus and everyone else, including all the regulators and investment banks and rating agencies and media, should also be blown off the face of the earth because they haven't done anything about any of what I have written or complained about. These are serious complaints against them and they belong in jail for what they do and did, nothing less than jail, let alone the million or 2 that they owe me for what they have done and that would not even make up for it.

I feel State Farm isn’t holding to its terms signed. I have had multiple problems with my car not being adequately fixed (not properly) being my check engine light came on not even a mile from the shop. It still had manifold O2 sensors and misfires and a few other trouble codes and it was scheduled to be back to VW instead of the other shop. And the car was stolen three days before it was scheduled to be towed to the VW service and it was stationary until stolen. The wrong oil was put in the car. The engine was completely blown and several other issues and State Farm is not wanting to fix the vehicle but I have to pay 6 and 700 a month for full coverage. I am outraged with the hassle and trouble and debt they have put me in. It has been at Volkswagen service department for over five months and they are trying to take ownership of my vehicle now.

I called Steve Ford Agency at 9:00am CST to speak with Shara(?). I did not get the card ... No one answered locally nor was there an answering machine saying if they were open or not (customer service thought they maybe closed for President's Day). A call in should at least explain what is going on at the local agency including the hours open and perhaps a telephone number to be called if the call is urgent, etc.

Instead, I was holding and holding; then someone answered and I asked if they were in Manitowoc and she said Bloomington. I don't have a lot of time to explain how upset I was, as Steve Ford Agency sent me (3) three mailings about checking out their coverage. The Bloomington customer service rep and Ms. Amy, the manager, kept repeating, "I understand. I understand." And finally I said, "No, you do not understand." They didn't know if the agency would be open or not. Maybe they are closed for Pres. Day. Maybe they didn't flip their telephone to local office answering. These explanations were repeated over and over again, with absolutely no resolutions.

I concluded the 25-minute call by saying, "Make sure Steve Ford Agency does not contact me in anyway and to take me off their mailing list." I also asked a complaint be submitted about the Steve Ford Agency's lack of customer service and, additionally, about the original person who answered the telephone call at corporate headquarters. She was of no help whatsoever! Ms. Amy advised me that she would talk with her supervisor and review the conversation if indeed it was recorded. My rating on my experience with State Farm Insurance is very unprofessional.

They are nasty, disgusting, despicable people. That is all to say at the very extreme least. They wrongly decided on an accident and blamed me for something that I wasn't responsible for. Worst, they spoke down on me. They stole my money and then cancelled a policy. They literally spit on me, and that is the least of what they did. And for absolutely no reason, except for blaming me for whatever they blamed me, which had nothing to do with me, I pay them and then they cancel. Then, they had to reinstate because they were worse than wrong; but they doubled my premium rates and made it impossible for me to get any other insurance.

I complained to the NYS Department of Insurance. The State Farm responded to my complaint on October 29, 2012, the day of the very big storm in the northeast region (Sandy). On that date, I suppose they had nothing else to do but to respond to the Department of Insurance with all lies, except telling them that they cancelled both my auto and my home owners policy (on the day of the storm). And with no reason, except the lies that they made up, they would not let me speak to anyone about it; they would just hang up on me. I never heard of an insurance company hanging up on anyone; they are worse than children. They take my money and my time, and then they literally beat me up. If I don't let them, they say that I'm not respectful. I can't even begin to tell you what a horrible, unethical, miserable group of people they are; whoever they are.

Then they reinstated 4 months later, raised my premium, and doubled it again for a minor parking lot accident that was not my fault. They have falsely reported to the credit bureaus and to the clue reports or driving reports. They tell me that there is no agent, and I have to deal with their Operations Center; who only hangs up on me when I would call them. They lied to the Department of Insurance and perhaps, they are the ones to blame in the first place, along with the rating agencies. But whatever they did to me, and continue to do, they could even be considered criminals. I paid them their premium after the storm; without even reporting a claim, they wouldn't allow me to. They turn around and cancelled my policy even after I paid them their exorbitant and unjust rates. They said that I told them to cancel my policy, which is why they didn't send any notice or give any reason.

I most certainly did not cancel my policy. I wouldn't have paid them if I meant to cancel; I did not cancel my own policy. They totally lied about everything and the NYS Department of Insurance has done nothing to rectify any of it. They are also too busy trying to find a reason or excuse for State Farm so that they can come back to me and tell me, again, that they can do anything that they want to do. The New York governor even issued a special rule during the big storm in October stating that the insurance companies cannot take any actions against anyone’s policy in the regions affected; and that was for 3 months after the storm. They cancelled my policy a month after the storm, and after I paid them their increased unjustified rates, without notice or reason except to say that I cancelled my own policy. Even after the storm, they were right there on me, seemingly so.

They are stalking, discriminating, directly, and intentionally causing me worse problems. These are hate crimes, if nothing else. I would press criminal charges, but I do not even know who to press them against; the original agent? I don't even know. But whoever is causing these problems belongs in a place worse than the jail for what they are doing. I am not getting any help from anyone. This is just a tiny example of what I have had to deal with. It is a good example of a sick person who has nothing better to do but to make things difficult for me; which could also stem from the mailing address that I provided. Usually, someone gets insurance for protection. In this case, they just take the money and spit on me. All of this may not sound like a big problem, but like I've mentioned, this is the very, very least of it; just a tiny example.

The insurance company was not allowed to cancel anyone’s policy for 3 months after the super storm in October 2012, no matter what. Not only did they cancel my policy for no reason, they also took a great deal of money from me first, and didn't even allow me to call or report anything during the storm; and I was still covered then. Like I said in the last report, words cannot even explain what they have done and continue to do to me. I hate to use these terms, but it is very close to attempted murder, with no exaggeration. I have tried to contact the police, but they are just as threatening to me and do absolutely nothing to help; which probably means that they are involved as well. I don't want to get too far-fetched, but no one should make anyone and put anyone through what I have been forced to deal with. I don't think that what I have written is too far-fetched either.

To have people call me and leave me messages, in tones in which they have been left, is inexplicable; and not even infuriating. Most likely, it could stem from someone who once thought that he owned me, or that he could abuse me the way that he did and has. I shouldn't have to rack my brains trying to figure it out. I should not be having any problems, and it is only others that cause the problems for me; they stomp all over me, as if they think they know me when they most certainly do not. Like I said, they belong in jail for what they have done to me and for what they continue to do. Jail would be too good for them. After the storm, they let up for about a day and then they reverted back to whatever they were doing to me before the storm. They blamed everything on me - all their claims and all their problems; all on me.

Suing would not even rectify what they've done. State Farm has over 40 million customers; 40 million. And they are directly attacking me. I even spoke to someone and said that I was someone else. They were going off on my name; they knew my name. Does everyone at State Farm know my name, even the executive customer service office? They were probably the reason for all of this; again, with no clue as to why. They passed a memo throughout their whole company with my name on it, slandering me and making up all sorts of things, to say the least; and again, with no reason. If there is a reason, they would not divulge anything about it; it’s all behind my back.

They are a multi-billion dollar company, and they have nothing better to do, or any other way to run their business, but to blame everything on me and do what they've done to me. I have no idea who is responsible for that. Well, I have documentation and everything to back up everything that I've written. Anything that they can present, I can more than refute and prove how wrong they are. Saying that they are wrong, like I've said, is an understatement. And like I've said again, words cannot even begin to explain what State Farm has done; whatever or whoever is responsible has done and continue to do. I have the option to add documents but there are too many to attach; whatever I would attach would not even begin to explain what they've done and are doing.

They tried to blame it on someone else too! Then when I called, some guy named Mike said to me, "Now you listen to me! I just spoke with your husband, and you're going to have to wait until I get answers!" Mind you, it had been 4 months since we moved, and they still didn't transfer our policy! I have to say that I have been a State Farm customer for 20 years. Through this time, I have insured 3 different houses, a life insurance policy, and two teenage drivers. I'm now in the market for a new insurance company. Both of my "already older cars to begin with" have aged and depreciated in the past 4 years, but my insurance rate has stayed the same. I have no tickets and no accidents on my driving record. My driving record has been clean, clean, clean all the way through. I removed my son from my account 3 years ago. My insurance did not decrease. I recently reduced one vehicle to liability only, and sent my agent an email asking to remove my daughter from my insurance (because she is now married with her own insurance).

State Farm failed to remove her. Not only did they fail to remove her, but my insurance has increased. So I've been on the phone for over an hour this morning trying to figure out what is going on. One online rep said, "Ma'am, this takes time." My thoughts: Well it didn't take time to increase my rate. Today, my agent, who I corresponded with through email 3 weeks ago, said he needs my daughter's new insurance paperwork in order to remove her from my account. He failed to let me know any of this. I would not have known if I had not decided to check online to see if she had been removed. Don't bother calling the 1-800 number. They can do nothing for you.

Then State Farm started sending me to their doctors where I was treated like a criminal. All their doctors disagreed with my doctors but one. I ended up in arbitration. I got 48,000 dollars which I won't see a penny of that because I have 80,000 dollars in doctor bills. They called these doctors IME.

Well, my neurologist is an IME and this is what he told me. They sent the doctor a separate form to fill out to say that there is nothing wrong with you and then State Farm pays that doctor a nice chunk of change. Meanwhile, my whole life has changed. I still have to see a neurologist and go to a pain management clinic and I can't afford to go to PT. I did have good credit until this accident. This is why State Farm had to do a commercial about you can't believe everything you hear on the internet.

Well, State Farm, there goes another lie. I hope that State Farm members read this and drop them because Heaven forbid you should be in an accident that was no fault of your own. Please forgive me if everything is not spelled correctly or words may be skipped that's part of my brain injury. However, I incurred about $5,000 in medical bills from four different medical providers and State Farm has yet to pay any of them one cent. I have complained that this accident is their responsibility but they will not pay anything until the claim is settled. In the meantime, these four providers are making threatening collection calls to me and negatively affecting my credit rating and credit history. I am still injured from this accident; however, I cannot seek the additional medical care I need as the first $5,000 still remains unpaid by State Farm.

I have tried to settle the claim with them but the offer I have received is so ridiculously low I turned it down. To summarize, they basically have me in a headlock. They won't pay the $5,000 owed to my medical providers and some of the bills are over a year old. I can't seek the additional medical treatment I need as the original bills remain unpaid. I won't settle until they make an offer that covers my outstanding medical bills and covers me for my time and expenses incurred in the several months I received medical care as well as my pain and suffering. I had to quit my golf league in the summer and my bowling league during the winter months because of my injuries. State Farm has not taken care of me and will not negotiate in good faith.

It is now January 2013 and I have still yet to receive repayment of my deductible from their subrogation team despite they and the NYPD deeming the other driver 100% responsible (he was racing another car on the freeway and span out of control, t-boning our vehicle). They have said that as the at-fault party's insurer (in this case, Countrywide) is holding out until a court case is presented and the court date is not until April 8, 2014 (nearly 2 years following the accident), they are unable to make an exception and refund my deductible (which I'm holding as a balance on my credit card and it is subsequently costing me money in interest charges).

I have spoken to State Farm customers who have been in similar accidents where the other party has been at fault and they have been made whole soon after the claim was lodged, so I do not understand what is different in my case. I even emailed the CEO/President of State Farm, Ed Rust, and that went nowhere fast. All in all, State Farm are not living up to their motto of being a 'Good Neighbor' and quite frankly I can't understand their position at all if they wish to provide customer satisfaction and maintain goodwill.

After 2 long years of legal battles over injuries I sustained in a car accident on 1/11/11, we finally had our arbitration meeting today. Like a good neighbor, State Farm was there. Because the kid that hit me was not insured, I was forced to go after my "Uninsured Motorist" coverage with my insurance, State Farm! For those that don't know what that is, it is the amount of coverage you pay exorbitant premiums for to cover yourself and your family in case you are hit by an uninsured person. I believe that the minimum amount of coverage you are required to carry in Utah is $25,000.00, but you can go as high as $500,000.00. The more coverage you want, the higher your premiums will be.

I was at a complete stop, waiting for an oncoming car to pass so that I could make a left hand turn into a parking lot, and was hit from behind by a distracted 17-year old driving a full size GMC truck doing 45mph. My vehicle sustained $8,000.00 in damage. I sustained a concussion, a labral tear in my right shoulder, central disc herniations at C4-5 and C5-6, along with disc herniations at L5-S1. To correct these injuries, I will require an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion at C4-5 and C5-6, as well as either a microlumbar discectomy at L5-S1 on the left and/or possibly anterior posterior spine reconstruction at L5-S1.

My uninsured motorist coverage was $100,000.00. My current medical expenses to date, excluding these surgeries, are $28,764.63. I have spent the last two years fighting for the coverage limits of $100,000.00 that I have paid my monthly premiums on to State Farm for the last 16 years - on time, every month. I have never had a ticket, never had an accident, and never filed a claim. The estimated cost of the surgeries is $211,900.00.

Mark **, the attorney for State Farm, claims that I suffered a lumbar strain as a result of this accident; and even more disturbing is the fact that he stated under oath that it is his opinion that I will never have the surgery because I am dying of breast cancer. Well, let me tell you. I am not going through the hell of chemotherapy, affectionately known as "red death," a double mastectomy, and 25 doses of radiation for any other reason than to live! How this man can look himself in the mirror and be proud of what he does is beyond me, but you can rest assured that I hope he gets everything he deserves in life!

For your information, State Farm and Allstate are two of the worst insurance companies to pay you for any injuries you might sustain in a car accident! We have changed insurance carriers and are getting twice the coverage for half of the premiums we were previously paying. Please pass this along to your friends and let people know what true slugs represent State Farm and get paid to insure that you do not get what is rightfully yours!

I have been a customer of State Farm for over 25 years, having had family auto, HOA, renters and life insurance. I have just been informed that State Farm will be dropping me on 2/1/2013 or re-rating me with a 400% premium increase. The reason State Farm gives me is that I am a bad driver based on one moving violation in 2011 and a small accident in 3/2011. The moving violation I acknowledge, it was a rolling stop. However, the accident was non-injury and resulted when I nudged my girlfriend’s car while backing out of garage. I specifically asked my agent at that time if making a claim would cause me to be dropped. The answer I received was "no".

Unfortunately, due to 2 intense family sicknesses (one chronic for my now ex-wife, and a fatal prognosis for my now 7-year old son), I had some severe financial setbacks and just bad luck. As the sole care provider of my son, I have been responsible for all his care, chemo and managing his over 70 surgeries. As can be imagined, the costs are incredible in terms of expense, stress and time. The financial stress of having my auto premium go from $70 to $260 a month is hard to adapt to and even harder to reconcile as due to my "risk". I suspect that State Farm is more likely pruning itself of less profitable clients. As result of my recent setbacks, I no longer have multiple cars in the household (divorce). I no longer have HO insurance (lost the home to foreclosure).

I also was unlucky in having 3 claims that were no fault. Each of those claims was not disputed as to being the responsibility of third parties. None the less, State Farm no doubt views the payouts as not particularly profitable. Notwithstanding the fact that other parties either admitted to the liability or there were witnesses to the claim incidents. In closing, I feel it is absolutely predatory for an insurance company to seek only customers that pay dutiful premiums and rarely if ever make a legitimate claim. Unfortunately, due to my financial circumstance, my recent misfortune and perhaps my stubborn disposition, I cannot accept these rate changes without inquiry or challenge. Thank you.

In fact, they had spent the entire month chasing their tails instead of calling the finance company to determine the problem. Two things happened on 11/30 (a Friday). First, I was asked by a State Farm claims agent and my agent to call the finance company. I believe they did this thinking I would have no success and side with them. To the contrary, the finance company was very helpful and told me what was needed. I called State Farm back and told them what the finance company told me. By the following Monday, the wheels were rolling again. With no experience in insurance, I did in 15 minutes what the "experts" at State Farm couldn't do in a month.

The second thing that happened on 11/30 was that my rental car coverage reached its limit. Bottom line, State Farm totally disregards their customers. I have been with them for almost 20 years. This is my first claim. I am in a situation out of my control that I hire State Farm to deal with. Despite not dealing with the problem, their answer to their failures is to say time has lapsed so it is now the customer's problem, thank you for paying your premiums on time all these years, goodbye. I would have been better off self-insuring than paying these **. If the state is going to require citizens to have insurance, why don't they police these cowboys? Well, I didn't go to law school to put up with hacks like this. I am preparing a lawsuit, which will demand much more than the cost of a rental car. If State Farm is against the County (they have what is called "self-insurance"), then you must request payment on the damages from County officials, not the insurance company, per se. But in this state, they do not pay fair market value, i.e. 25% lower than the lowest body shop bid. State Farm requires that their lawyers "represent you," but the beater doesn't get fixed! Bottom line: all of these cases potentially could go to court. Each gets a civil judgment. No need for compulsory insurance since a nice car, or bank-owned, is fully insured, already. I believe they are taking advantage of my son for the reasons to benefit their company when my teenage son cancelled his policy due to not having his car anymore. My son maybe young, but he sure is not dumb! Taking advantage of us, the people, really needs to stop. Insurance corporations are the ones that need to be triple-taxed. Look at what the superstorm Sandy people are going through and it is sad you are taking advantage of a teenager who you think does not know any better. I will be watching them very closely on this matter. I am asking you to fix this issue, and if not, I will have to pray hard for you and your company!

I have been with State Farm for most of my life, accident-free. I am now 52 years old and my insurance has tripled from one and a half years ago. I went to Lowe's to pick out new faucets for bath and kitchen. When I got in my Jeep, I noticed damage to my left side mirror. It was around 9:00PM and dark, so I could not tell the extent of damages. When I got up to go to work the next morning, I noticed scratches on the Jeep's hood (a few) and a minor dent on the left side door. I called my agent then and told him the incident details. I asked him if I had the insurance company pay for the damages (I carry a $1,000.00 deductible), would they hold it against me - as I cannot control what happens in Lowe's parking lot? "No, no, no," they said. But they did anyway and I know this for a fact because I am insurance shopping now and the other insurance companies say State Farm claims that I caused an accident.

This is a lie and fraudulent behavior. I want the record set right. I want my insurance file corrected. I am not giving up. I have many other complaints with the California, Maryland State Farm company but I'm just too angry to discuss this (that) matter further. I have always liked State Farm until I needed to actually use them. If I have reached your headquarters office, I'm being told that it's you guys playing me like a yo-yo. Thank you.

I have been with State Farm for 30 years. My home, cars are insured. I also have a home in my area that has renters and this property is also insured by State Farm. In August 2012, my tenant left my rental house a mess and did a lot of damage to the house. I called State Farm agent and was told this would be covered under my homeowner's policy. Paper work and an insurance investigator came to the property, wrote a report and a few weeks later, State Farm issued me a check to cover most of the damage. Yesterday, November 26, 2012, I received a letter from State Farm cancelling my insurance on the rental property.

I asked if this claim would affect my insurance, the response from the agent and the adjuster was, "You have been a good policy holder for years, State Farm doesn't want to lose a customer like you; no it will not affect your status with State Farm." I am now looking to take my life, car and homeowner's out of State Farm's hands. Like a good neighbor, State Farm will screw you at the first chance they get.

My husband and I have been with State Farm for over ten years and never had a problem until my husband was involved in an accident. A woman pulled out in front of him on a frontage road and he collided into the passenger side. The police report stated that it was her fault; she was ticketed. She was charged with careless driving, failure to yield and failure to provide proof of insurance. As it turns out, she had State Farm as well. Her policy must have been better than ours because State Farm fought hard to back her up. The woman denied fault and changed her story multiple times. It took over three months for them to reach a conclusion - that they were both partially at fault.

We are now in the process of suing the woman at fault and the DA told us that we have a solid case. To make matters worse, every agent we spoke with at State Farm was terribly rude and knew very little about our case. This whole process has been a nightmare and we are in the process of switching from this horrible company performing organized crime. State Farm is fine as long as you never have an accident.

My daughter was recently in an accident. I have had insurance with State Farm for a couple of years. In July, I lost my debit card and failed to realize that the automatic draft to pay my bill was tied to that card number. In August, I realized it - don't remember if State Farm contacted me or what, but I went into the office, paid my bill, gave them a new card number and signed a form giving them permission to draft my account. They had difficulties with processing this payment, and I had to get proof from my bank that it had in fact been processed. I was told that it did show up at the main corporate office and it should show up the next day once the system caught up.

Anyway, on Oct. 31, my daughter was in an accident. State Farm says I have no insurance - I have no insurance because they never processed my payment. Their reasoning is because they said they gave me notice by mail - one letter. They are not taking any responsibility for their representative not doing her job. I am at a loss for words. I am a single mom that works full-time and I attend school part-time. Just recently, I started also working another part-time job. They plan on going after me to pay for the damages. I told State Farm that I hope they feel good about doing this and not taking responsibility for their mistake. All they could tell me over and over is "You should have opened your mail and you should have checked on it." I don't understand why it is my job to make sure they do their job? Is that not what we pay them for? Is State Farm a company that does not take ownership when they make errors? They just look for any loophole to make you at fault?

I advised that there was confusion on my part as I thought that my new insurance provider would notify State Farm of the switch. However, this wasn't the case. I had the discussion with my agent, and we both agreed that the policy could be, and would be cancelled with a retro date of 07/6/12, as I was paying for two policies, with two different companies. The refund would only be contingent upon me faxing the declarations page of my new policy showing the effective date. I faxed the information that was asked of me, and my agent advised that he received the fax, and that my request would be taken care of. Two weeks later, I received a check in the mail for $12.00 and contacted my agent via email advising of the wrong cancellation date. As of today, I have had no response from my agent in dealing with this issue, as email communication is the best contact method for me at this time.

I am insured with State Farm and was recently rear-ended by an uninsured driver. (A police report was filed stating that the uninsured driver was 100% at fault.) I called the State Farm claims department the day of the incident to report what had happened. Two weeks later, I had not heard anything from State Farm, so I called in, and they let me know they were "having trouble" obtaining the police report and that it would take more time. A week and a half after that I called back in and they were "still having trouble" obtaining the police report. That day, I decided to obtain the police report myself (which I was able to get in about 20 minutes). I then called the claims department and spoke with a representative who gave me a fax number to send the police report to.

I immediately faxed over the report and received confirmation that it was received. This happened on a Friday, so I called back on Tuesday to see how much longer it would be (since it was about a month at this point) and was told that no fax had been received; they offered no explanation as to why. (This concerns me in and of itself, as my address, driver’s license number, etc., were in the police report, which is now lost). I then spoke with a representative who said that she would email me a secured link to email the police report to. I confirmed the email address multiple times; however, I never received an email from her/State Farm. I called back the next day, and a representative who sounded extremely annoyed stated, "Oh, we have the police report now. We're working on it." She did not say if they had found my fax or if they had finally been able to get it on their own. (This also annoys me because I went to the police station on my lunch hour and paid for a police report.)

Now, it will take an additional 14 days to get any sort of answer, as that is how long the uninsured party has to respond to their request. What this means is it will be 2 months since the accident took place that I am able to get my car fixed. I have been completely disappointed in my experience with State Farm. They not only made me feel like a nuisance the entire way through, but they also made me lose faith completely in their company. Not once did State Farm offer any empathy/concern/apology that I had been in a car accident that damaged my car and was 100% not my fault, that they had lost my documents, that I have been driving with a damaged car for coming up on two months, or that they have never once contacted me to let me know what was going on.

I am a Durham, N.C. resident. I purchased my home in 1995, my first home ever. I had to shop around for insurance. I do not know how and why I selected State Farm. I made a major mistake in my life. My agent's name is Chuck **. He has no compassion. As long as you are making your payment, all is well. Just do not make a claim. You will be in trouble.

I had a water line break under the driveway, water everywhere. I called Chuck (State Farm agent). They outright turned me away stating that I was not covered. The damage was overwhelming to say the least. That was in December of 2007. In 2010, I came home one evening and I had a theft. This was a shock to me as I never had this happen before in my lifetime. In 2012, I had a water leak. If I had known that State Farm would leave me out in the cold like this, I would have cancelled the policy. So now State Farm outright refused to reinstate my policy.

After seventeen long years, where is Customers for life? I called Chuck. He was very rude. He spoke to me with no compassion. He frankly told me about myself and than hang up on me. Who does this to a customer? State Farm, so okay, here I go again. Chuck had my payments higher than the car payment. When I asked him about this, he mentioned something about the car having been in an accident. I explained to him that I had just purchased the car. I had only had it less than a week. He couldn't care less about what I was saying. He used and held that against me.

So yes sir, I was truly angry. You would think that this was all his money. Out of all of this, State Farm paid less than $7,000. The way I was treated, you would have thought they paid me over $100,000 and to add salt to the wound, when I called to appeal this, they had a man call me. His name was Tim **. Oh, my God, he was just as worst as Chuck ** (Guess road). He had the nerve to lie on me about me and when I tried to correct this (how did they ever become agents, no customer skill whatsoever), they were trying to make it harder for me to get any insurance. They also has falsified information about me to make it harder for me, saying that in 1996 I made claim of theft. That was not paid; that is an outright lie.

Chuck should be ashamed of himself. They should change the name to Snake Farm, since they are always trying to destroy you. God, please turn this around, back onto State Farm agents like Chuck and Tim **. Okay, cancel my policy if you will but you do not have to lie about me. I may be going too far, but I'm going to the street and anywhere else to tell everyone about how State Farm and their mistreating of valuable customers. They have never been a good neighbor. They are your worst nightmare, and always have an excuse (liars), treat you like you are a nobody. Tim also said to me that they have had customers for over thirty years who had never filed a claim. So what does that have to do with me? He's just letting me know that if they do, they will be cancelled.

The insurance commission should investigate State Farm and their practices, for God's sake. Please listen to the customers because without us, you have no business. We are the force behind them and they need to know what happens to an agent who may have some misfortune in their life and may have more than one or two claims. I wish no harm. What goes around come around, Chuck **. Listen to your customers, stop thinking that you are God. You are so ungrateful to your faithful customers.

Have been overcharged on my insurance since January 3, 2012: I had dropped insurance on one of my vehicles via e-mail with Angie. I was assured that it had been taken care of. I also had told them my son was a resident of Arizona, so he was no longer in my household. I think that may have been August of 2011. Initial e-mail was 1/3/12 about dropping a vehicle. When I got my 6-month policy premium to review at the end of March, I once again called and dealt with Christen. She was recommended by my brother. Once again, I sent another e-mail dated 3/28 asking her to take care of it and also had sent the copy of the e-mail I sent Angie. Well, once again, I got my 6-month policy premium to review; and lo and behold, the Toyota was still on there. My son was also listed as being in the household also.

Once again, I called and presently I am dealing with Susan; and quite frankly, my plan is to cancel my auto insurance with State Farm, because I seem to have been taken advantage of. My payment is due to come out on 9/28, and I am going to my Credit Union to see what I have to do to not allow the payment. I expect a full refund of what I have been overcharged. I do not want a credit to my account; I want my damn money back. I am not sure what is going on in Jeremy's office, but in my opinion, there are a bunch of incompetent people employed there.

I spoke with Susan yesterday and was assured I would have an answer today. I am running out of time and seem to get nothing but excuses from anyone I deal with. (or the assurance things have been taken care of when they really have not). I am so disappointed with the service I had gotten from your company, and as soon as I get my auto insurance taken care of, I will move on to my homeowner's (which is also with your company). I sure hope that between the 3 or 4 of you, you do the right thing and refund my money; or I will keep pursuing until I get my money. I guess I expect things need to move a little faster, being I have a disabled husband and am on a fixed income and really cannot afford to piss my money away. The extra charge is not so. When we did this payment in the beginning, we sat eye to eye (face to face) with the understanding it was from $61.00. Then they even went up higher to $64.13 as of July. My wife and I were with State Farm for nine years in some form or another with Home Owners, Auto, and Personal Item Policies. We've paid over $5000 in premiums faithfully over this time period to Rob **, a State Farm agent in SC. My wife backed into our truck one day, so I wanted to get the car fixed as we are still paying for it. Our deductible is $1000, so they paid around $600. One year later, I backed out of a friend's driveway and didn't see the fire hydrant on the side of the driveway, and scratched the car again. Our deductible was $1000, so they paid around $300. During the same year, a bad hail storm came through, and every third house in my neighborhood had to get a new roof due to hail damage. I called for an inspection (a service paid for and included in our home policy with State Farm) to make sure our roof was okay, and they counted that as a claim. Then, I called to have the windshield on my truck filled in because of a rock chip from interstate traffic ($50 cost to State Farm; in SC windshields have to be covered free of charge per state law).

After they paid the windshield claim, I was informed that they no longer would cover us because I had exceeded the normal amount of claims for an "ideal" State Farm policy holder. I was furious, having paid them over $5000 in premiums for 9 years. With their cost only totaling $950, I could not understand why we were dropped. I called the agent, and he told me that statistically, the fourth claim in the life of a policy holder with State Farm is a "big pay-out claim," and they were not going to be caught on the hook for our potential "fourth" claim. He wasn't nice about it as he felt the need to defend State Farm. I appealed the decision, and was declined coverage again, as the underwriter affirmed State Farm's initial decision to deny my coverage due to claim activity (Note that I only appealed it because the office manager at my agent's office was angry about it as well, and she felt so compelled to call the main office of State Farm, and the underwriter told her to convey the above to me).

Not only did they drop me, but they coded us "high risk", which was going to make my premiums higher for the new coverage at any of the new companies I chose for insurance. I was even more furious at this situation when I was told the above. We were the victims of life situations, and we called our police, State Farm, and instead of helping, they raped, molested, and mutilated us!

Why pay for, and have the law mandate insurance if you're dropped when you use the coverage you pay for? It's the biggest legal scam going. Then, once they've dropped you, they can code you which makes your next policy cost higher. I will never be loyal to any company again because of this incident; I tell everybody I know, and new people I meet about my treatment at State Farm. State Farm gave our 9-year loyalty no consideration. We were a number, and we were judged, and subsequently dropped because of numbers. That's simply unacceptable!

At that time, they also asked if I wanted to "bundle" and get homeowner's insurance. I stated no several times because I already have a great policy elsewhere. Well, they added homeowner's insurance as well without my consent. In order for my policy not to cancel, I was forced to pay about $100 extra a month due to them adding my husband anyway. I received a letter in April that he could not be insured.

From April to June, I still had to pay the extra amount for an unknown reason in order to keep my insurance active. State Farm owes me a refund of $200 due to their mistakes and it is September and I still haven't received my refund. I should have gotten it in June. I still have no answers as to when I will get my refund and I constantly have to call to try and get a resolution. All I want is my money back that I should have never had to pay! I also had to have a window replaced. I had to call and set it up myself which was okay and I did. Well, the people they chose to fix it broke all the clips in my window and didn't replace it causing my window to crack and be replaced an additional 2 times. Finally, I called State Farm in hopes for them to correct this mess and get my clips, etc. replaced and they refused. I then requested State Farm use a different company on the last install and I set all that up myself and had the clips replaced and etc.

State Farm does nothing correct but take your money out of your account the day it's due. Otherwise nothing else is corrected and nothing else gets resolved unless you push and do it yourself. Even that will take 4 months and counting. I'm a very displeased customer.

My son was rear ended by a State Farm client, who was tailgating him on a canyon road. The State Farm client was given a citation by the police for following too close and was found at fault by the police. State Farm took a statement from their insured, but no statement from my son or his passenger. They did not get a copy of the accident report. They found my son at fault in less than half a day and refused to pay for our damage. I finally found someone at State Farm who said the investigation was handled inappropriately and that they would lose if the case went to arbitration. She reopened the claim, got a copy of the accident report and took a statement from my son. State Farm reversed the decision, but they still found my son 30% liable so they only paid for 70% of the damage. My insurance company (USAA) also investigated and determined that the State Farm driver was completely at fault.

I was at an intersection with two left turn lanes. I was in the right and a hummer was in the left. When the light turned green, I made the turn and was starting to go straight when the hummer turned too wide and came into my lane and struck me. We pulled off to the side of the road. A woman got out of the hummer and said she was sorry. She wanted to leave and for me to just get her information but I told her she had to wait for the police. The police came and took my statement but not my spouse who was with me in the car. He told me I could leave.

When I got the accident report, it said conflicting stories about what happened. The girl lied to the officer and said that I was in her lane, but she got a citation for a suspended driver's license. The hummer belonged to her friend, who was insured by State Farm, and he gave her permission to drive his car. State Farm would not admit to liability saying that they were going to believe the woman's story.

My wife does not count as a witness. I said that the car should not have been on the road because of the suspended license. State Farm said a suspended drivers license means nothing, "too bad, we won't assume liability." So to all police officers who give people tickets for suspended driver's license, why bother, according to State Farm, when it means nothing.

We have had to call and call again to try to have this car repaired. I have called the agent, Tom **, and he looked into it without a follow up to a resolution (the staff is nice at the office and I found Tom very willing to start the process of helping my son but there was no follow through). My SF agent in Florida would have gone to bat for me and had this taken care of. I would not recommend buying SF insurance in Colorado. Service is deplorable.

In May 2012, I went through a flood water situation and my car drove through 4 feet of water. My car was immediately towed to Mercedes Benz of Miami due to the fact that State Farm's "preferred" shops all refused me and told me to take it to the dealer and that only they can work on it. The dealer recommended a lot of services to be performed but in the end, only 3 oil changes and a few sensors were changed. The total bill was $2,100.00 (I paid $500.00). A month later, my engine rod flies out the motor and cracks the block. This is pretty obvious that they missed a repair or State Farm never authorized repair because my engine was in pristine condition before this incident.

The best part is my service records indicate "low compression" at the time the car was compression tested and they also stated my car was "misfiring" and that after 3 oil changes they could not remove the "slush" in the engine. State Farm and my dealership still released the car back to me in this condition. Now, I am being asked to pay for a $12,000 motor and State Farm is telling me that this is Mercedes’ fault for not doing the repair correctly and Mercedes is telling me this is due to "flood water intrusion".

I am at a loss. I can barely afford an attorney and now I have to bear the burden of paying $180.00 weekly for a rental car that I am not even enjoying. State Farm and Mercedes Benz of Miami has completely lost all my trust, period. Being a loyal customer to them for 6 years, this is what I get. Six years isn’t a whole lot but I’ve only been driving for 6 years. This is ridiculous.

I recently received a letter from State Farm advising that they were dropping my motorcycle insurance due to claims. There were two claims listed, one was a not-at-fault accident where I was rear ended as the last of a 5-car collision to be rear ended and the other claim was under $1,000. I was at fault as I backed in to someone with my car. Both of the accident were in my car and not my motorcycle, which has never had a claim. I came form a State Farm family with relatives as agents and I once worked in my father's State Farm agency.

I called my agent's office, which no one ever speaks to the agent as they are never in, so I spoke to the representative who I asked to write an appeal form me as my family has been insured with State Farm for over 40 years. I personally have been insured with State Farm for over 29 years with no accidents or tickets on the motorcycle and the company was cancelling based off of a not-at-fault and at-fault accident under $1,000. The representative came back to me several days later and said she won the appeal and they will reinstate in their standard company, but not the mutual company I was currently in. The price difference was supposed to be a $40.00 increase, so I advised to proceed with binding the coverage.

My policy was due to expire on July 23 and when that day passed and I still didn't have a policy or ID card, I called the agent's office. The representative said she forgot to collect the money the last time we talked and so the policy was not reinstated. I was very upset and wanted my policy put back in place as discussed earlier, with the same effective date as the expiration. She later came back to me with an increase of over $200.00 for the renewal. I asked what happened with the quote several weeks back that was a $40.00 increase and I was told that quote was incorrect because she placed the coverage back in Mutual when quoting.

With my back up against the wall, I paid the increase because no other company would go back and issue the policy with the same expiration date. I purchased another policy today from another standard carrier and the difference for one year of coverage is $552.00, with additional coverages State Farm didn't quote. I am looking to move my auto coverage next. I do not need a good neighbor like that in my life and I'm guessing neither do you. Goodbye Snake Farm!

What a three-ring circus. I contacted a local agent three weeks before our commercial liability policy with another company was to renew. I provided all of the requested information and was told that "the underwriter" was being consulted at every step along the way. Meantime, instead of doing her due diligence on the policy I called her about, this "representative" immediately began snooping into other policies that we had (something I guess they have access to) and started hustling us for those lines of business as well. I moved three policies over before they had to admit (right on top of the expiration of my existing policy) that they would not cover us for the policy I initially contacted them about. Of course, they deposited my check even though they knew they couldn't write my policy.

Everyone's worst fear is what I am now dealing with. I had to madly scramble to get insurance because I cancelled my other policy based on the assurances (including an evidence of insurance) they provided. This included having to write a second huge check. What business has that kind of money right now? I still haven't received a refund. I receive promises that it will be processed, but of course no check. I can't talk to anyone but the incompetent or slimy agent who did this. If I try going higher up in the State Farm food chain, I am immediately referred back to the train wreck that did this. They have you by the short hairs and know it. It's obvious by how smug they are.

This insurance agent is either very incompetent or very dishonest because, apparently, All State Farm agents know that they don't write policies for our line of work. Just to test the theory, I called four other State Farm agents and was shut down the minute they ran my license. Every single one of them told me immediately that they don't write my line of work. Since this is standard knowledge, the Department of Insurance confirmed that I should have been notified that they don't cover my line of work the second I provided my license, the second day after I contacted them.

The best part was when the owner of the agency called me at 5:30pm, bristling because "he was working overtime" trying to get the underwriter to change her mind. Newsflash, I didn't want them to change their mind. I wanted him to tear up my check, not deposit it and let me renew my existing policy. Actually, a simple "no" would have been great. This outfit even suggested that I cancel my license so that I would "fit" into their policy. Hello? If I had thought about it, I would have suggested that he give up his license. I especially didn't want a policy that would be questioned the second I called in a claim. Particularly when I already had a policy that covered me adequately.

So, bottom line: I have this hassle and I still can't get my money back on a policy they issued despite a definitive "no" from their underwriter. On the plus side, I am filing a formal complaint with the Department of Insurance and I will take every opportunity to warn people about this tacky business and its practices.

My agent’s office, Bill Alsnaur CLU on 2500 W Dublin Granville Road in Columbus, I have never been to nor has my agent or his staff ever tried to meet with me before this incident. I'm not an agent and didn't know until the crisis that I had to have an additional water back-up plan, which my agent finally told me it would have only cost me $35 a year. His staff has offered me all kinds of marketing with regards to my car and knew I had a finished basement and never told me I needed sewage, water back-up etc. I thought this was included. I am not the agent here or his staff. I thought since I had the homeowners insurance for many years, it covered everything; fire, falls, water, etc.

This is the point of meeting with your customers to make changes and also to address their concerns. This staff member and others in his office have been talking to me in a rudely manner for years and I hardly get a chance to talk one on one with my agent. They always say he is not there or some other excuse. I lost a lot of money with paying for something that never covered me fully and his office never even asked how I was doing. **’s tone of voice on the phone is rude, etc. I refuse to pay people who treat me like that and I decided to spread the word to others on their unprofessionalism and sarcastic and rudely ways of this office in particular. I was going to cancel all together but after talking with another agent and his office with State farm, I knew I should keep my benefits and I should just get a new agent and staff.

I refuse to be treated this way and I don't believe that particular office on 2500 W Dublin Granville Road had ever had my best interest at heart and I no longer want them representing me and I don't want others to get treated this way. I can never get a straight answer and be careful of the insurance you are seeking. Don't let them tell you what you want, do your homework. It’s your money and we are why they are there in the first place, my soon to be ex-agent and his staff still don't get it. Not a care in **’s voice, no feeling whatsoever and oh, I must throw this in. I finally arranged a meeting with my agent for this Friday at 10 am since I never met him in like 12 years or ever.

I just received an email from ** again saying since my agent needs to come over to my condo anyhow for an inspection, they decided to cancel my meeting for Friday and decided to do the meeting at my condo that day instead, never asking me or considering my feelings or plans because that office thinks they can do whatever they want. I'm just sick of them and done with them. I am staying with State Farm for now and I will be contacting another source, but I am done with that office in particular.

We have been with State Farm over 11 years and I had no problem with them until a year ago. I received my policy and realized that my premium went up. I was paying $844.29 every six months for full coverage but when I received my new policy, it was $1,071.46 for six months. When I got a chance to call to ask why the hike in my premium, they couldn't give me a correct answer. They said for me to look over my policy and see if I really need certain things like the comprehensive and to call back. But the last time I checked, they are the agent, not me. They should be looking to help my pocket not theirs. But as I see, that is not the case. Within this time, I had a lapse in insurance because of them not notifying me in time with things. So DMV asked us to surrender our plates, which we did and had to take the car off the road because they said we had to wait for 28 days before we can register our car.

After calling State Farm and asking why we were not notified that our registration was suspended, they couldn't tell me. So, we had to wait out the suspension and when we register the car, we have to send a copy to them of the suspension so they will make an adjustment on our insurance that was already paid. My premium was due on July 6th but with the way the economy is, I couldn't pay half on that $1071.46 but send a payment of $179.50 to do monthly installments, in which they cashed the check. So, I thought everything was okay until I received a letter on July 27, 2012 with the refund of the $179.50 and I was told to pay either the $538.73 or the total balance of $1071.46. I deposited the check and issued my credit card number for payment. As of today, August 10th, I checked my credit card to make sure the payment was taken out and it wasn't. I called them right away and asked if they received my payment. They said no. I told them that I sent the information over a week ago with the letter stating that I had to pay half to keep my policy current and they told me it was cancelled on July 6. But how can that be if they deposited my check for the $179.50? That means they accepted it.

The letter didn't state that I had no insurance. So as I am speaking to Ellen, she told me very rudely that they sent a letter and they emailed and texted me about it. I asked, "What email add did you send it to?" She said she didn't have that information in front of her, but she did have the information that my policy was cancelled. I asked her what number did they text to. She repeated my home number but the last time I checked, I don't get texts to my landline house number. So who is ** who? They are not doing their jobs as agents. All they want is the money and not to do anything for it. So with that, I called Geico, had them give me a great quote and I took it. Sorry I had to waste so much of my money on a company that doesn't care.

I have been a customer of State Farm since I was 21 years old. I've always taken pride in my driving record - only one speeding ticket in my entire life, no at-fault accidents until March of 09 (over three years ago) when in an effort to avoid an accident, which would have been someone else's fault, I got into an accident causing about $1200 worth of damage to the other vehicle. I didn't repair my car. And then again in 8/10 when a lady decided to come to a complete stop right before entering a highway - with no oncoming traffic in sight causing me to slam into the back of her, causing extensive damage to my car (about $8,000) and causing her about $3,000 in damage - hers was a big car, no injuries.

I accept responsibility for those accidents and was so disappointed in myself but what could I do. I took a defensive driving class on my own for which State Farm gives no credit and vowed to never back up in any parking garage again and to never take my eyes off the person in front of me until I know for certain they are gone. My 18-year-old son started driving two years ago and last February while driving down an interstate during rainy weather, the driver in front of him pulled out of the lane unexpectedly revealing traffic was at a dead stop. My son stepped on his brake but because the road was wet, he skidded to the left staying in his own lane but the nose of his car went onto the shoulder of the road. He came to a complete stop but then was struck in the driver's side by the guy behind him. For some crazy reason, the officer gave my son the ticket but SF said it wasn't his fault and sent me the law that stated the person behind you has to be vigilant.

The guy now claims that my son hit him after hitting the embankment first and of course, the two insurance companies are going to fight it out. State Farm sent me a letter this week informing us we were not being renewed because of my two prior accidents and my son's accident. This was my son's first incident. He had no tickets, he's an honors student who attends an arts school, who did their steer clear program, and took the same defensive driving class I took, in addition to taking driver's education. 28 years of loyalty and paying to this company and having paid so much more than we have taken and this is how State Farm treats us. We have perfect credit rating and steady jobs in this crazy economy and this is how we are treated when we need our insurance company the most. Well, let me just say we don't want State Farm. To be honest, the few claims we have had were not handled well.

Years ago, my car was stolen and when I got it back, SF refused to pay for about $1000 of the damage stating it was old damage due to rust. The car was left in exceptionally rainy weather - windows open for almost a month before they found it. It was not old damage and they had pictures of the car that they took which indicated it was in pristine condition. Then there was the time when SF told me that my comprehension did not cover the bad gasoline that ruined my car so I paid for it and found out later that the girl at the office was new and didn't know. SF didn't pay me back all of the money because it was in hindsight so I was out about $200. Oh yes, even though SF said my son was not in the wrong, they still made me pay my deductible for getting the car fixed and are telling me it may take a year to get it back.

So, I called Farmer's Insurance yesterday and learned I can get insurance for $100 less a month - yes, $100 less a month for the exact same coverage. I don't know how Farmer's service is but perhaps this was kismet and it was time to say goodbye to State Farm. Just say a prayer that the creep who hit my son is proven to be the creep he is and justice prevails.

I believe I should not have to pay due to their mess up. Thanks for listening. I've been with State Farm for a year and half. I've never had so much issues with a company ever. Here's my story. I started paying $225.29 which everyone at work said was high, but just getting my G2, it would be high. Okay, the insurance is every 6 months, not a year. From March 2011 till July 2011, I paid $225.29. For Aug 2011 till Sept. 2011, I paid $262.99. I called and asked to find out why. I got told it went up on all boards and they couldn't tell me the reason. I find out that for everyone I know, their insurance went down. In Oct. 2011 again, it went up to $276.60, from Nov. 2011 till Jan. 2012 and it was $268.50. In Feb. 2012, it was $287.16 with still no reason why.

Then starting in March, I added a new car because I needed work on my primary car and I still needed a car so I bought another one for a limited time only and this is where it gets messy. In March 2012, I paid $411.73 and then added rental's insurance. In April 2012, I paid $336.16. I cancelled the second car. What really happened is that they didn't cancel it, they suspended it. After arguing with State Farm about getting the car cancelled for months, it was finally cancelled. July's bill showed it was cancelled. In May 2012, I paid $201.59. State Farm cancelled my primary car. Yup, that's right, they cancelled my primary car's insurance without me asking. I'm not really sure, to be honest, how long I was actually driving without insurance due to State Farm's fault. In June 2012, I paid nothing because the amount I paid for May's insurance was refunded back to me.

In July, I paid $269.07. Then they gave me a refund of $124.16 for the old car that was supposed to be cancelled back in April and told me I owe $440.43 for the difference in the premium from the effective date change and it would be spread over 3 bills because of the muti-car discount still added when the car was suspended. Now for August, it's $318.49. For August, I should be only paying $203.58 a month. Now, why the hell should I be paying back $440.43 when I asked to have the car cancelled since I didn't need it anymore and gave it to my mother and did not ask for my primary car to be cancelled? It took months of arguing with my agents about getting this cancelled. I should not have to pay this amount due to State Farm's fault. I have called the corporate office about it and they wouldn't do anything and sent me to Billing and to find out that the person I have been dealing with since I got insurance (who knew everything that was going on) no longer works there. That's just great. Let's say I'm not a happy customer and getting screwed over big time.

My insurance has risen from $805.66 in June 2010 to $1,359.52 in June 2012 (for 6 months). The current bills reflect a $286.43 increase from the same time period of a year ago. In January of 2012, I made changes to my policy in effort to reduce my premium (liability bodily injury from 100/300 to 50/100, property damage from 100 to 50 and increased my deductible to 500 from 100, which lowered my premium by $301.65). However, my current 6 months came right back up to $1,359.52.

I have contacted my new agent Tony ** and he felt that I was paying too much as well. When he contacted the underwriter, he was told that there is nothing they can do because I am part of the old pricing scale and basically, my rates will only continue to escalate. The only thing I will regain is the safe driver discount when the 2nd accident reaches the 3-year mark. Even without the accidents, I was already being overcharged significantly according to Mr. **, who said "This makes no sense." I honestly do not understand how they can mistreat a loyal policy holder like this. They have honestly been making advantage of me for years and I was unaware of it. I am at a loss of what to do! I was involved in a car accident six months ago. A big truck smashed into me in an ice-covered alley. It crushed both doors and threw the car against an adjacent building. State Farm paid for the damage to the vehicle. After a vacation road trip, I discovered my new front tires were shot. I had driven 7000 miles on a pigeon-toed front end due to bent tie rods. I called the shop that didn't fix the problem initially as well as State Farm. I showed an agent the bent tie rods and shot tires. She took pics of them as well as the tech read-out from the new alignment where I discovered the bent tie rods. The car had not been involved in any other accident between the truck hitting me and when I took it in for alignment upon returning from vacation. It had brand-new tires and an alignment just prior to the accident.

The claims agent denied the claims, saying the force of the truck hitting my car in the side did not cause the bent tie rods. I told him the force of the blow was huge and threw me and the car against the adjacent building, crushing both doors. I also told him the car had not been in any other accident. I hadn't so much as hit a pothole in the intervening time.

The additional bill was $817, which is not much compared to what I spend with these guys every year. Their adjuster was rude. Worse, his understanding of physics left much to be desired. I'm sure these guys and gals are trained to use any chance they get to deny a claim. This one was pretty simple. Huge truck smashes into vehicle, causing unibody damage, nearly totaling the vehicle. Tie rods are bent in opposite directions - meaning, the vehicle experienced a compressive force from the left and the right. The only way this could have happened was from the truck hitting me and slamming me into a building. End of story. These guys are weasels. I've cancelled all my policies with them and encourage you to do the same.

They will have no problem cutting you a check for $1300.00 when it takes almost $8k to fix, and they bring in some PDR (paintless dent removal or pathetic dent repair) specialists from Arkansas to get high in your parking lot and tear up my customers' cars with no regrets or warranties of any kind. And then when it pulls paint off your **, they pack up and leave and the manager Mike at State Farm sends up an independent appraiser from New Orleans, LA who doesn't even work for State Farm. And the adjuster said the only reason he's here is for the money and that he gets to go back home and not deal with customers. State Farm likes it that way, so they don't have to employ anybody who's out of work in our region.

I have an adjustor who used to be a bodyman or so he thinks he was. He writes estimates for his friends and fixes their cars in his garage. Talk about conflict of interest, the manager has been notified and he either don't care or is on the take, or helping his adjuster in the garage, because I'm sure he used to do a little bodywork too.

What I need are names and paperwork. No hearsay or false accusations for a huge class action lawsuit. I'm getting ready to file my fax. Make no mistake if you send it, and we win, you will receive an equal slice of the pie. I have never sued before, so I need your help so my lawyers can do this, and it is of no cost to you. You have my word that you will receive compensation if we win, because after all, like a great neighbor, I am here. I'm not like a good neighbor I will ** you like State Farm.

State Farm has directed the dealership to replace my dented bumper with a used bumper. Three bumpers, four weeks, two rental cars, multiple trips to the dealership, countless phone calls later...and still no car! Their policy to use refurbished parts regardless of how long it takes to get it right is **.

In November of 2011, my del. truck was legally parked when a driver with a rental car totaled my truck (State Farm said). I had a $7,000 hand painted sign on it that State Farm said I was not entitled to. So, they sent me a low ball settlement check and towed my truck away. That was 6 months ago and they never collected my $1,000 deductible payment. Then, last Monday, I received a phone call from a private parking lot that said my truck was parked in their parking lot. My State Farm agent, Rebeca **, said they could not find any proof that this accident ever happened. And they had not even taken the truck's reg. out of my name and are still charging me premiums and asked me for proof this accident really happened. This has got to be one of the most mismanaged companies ever. I really don't recommend this company.

It's the second time we have been hit by a State Farm driver. It will cost you time, money and sleepless nights. The wife isn't sleeping and is waking with panic attacks. First time cost me $350 for a wheel bearing they said was my son’s fault. This time they want to total the wife’s car for FSBO cost. We have been hit by 3 other insurance holders with no issues. Now, they want the rental car back with 2 days’ notice, and no car repaired or replacement.

I am a licensed massage therapist. I treated a patient for injuries she suffered in a MVA. It has been over 3 months since State Farm received my bill and they have not paid me or any of my patient's other bills. They simply continue to delay with one excuse after another. It is obvious they have no intention of paying and I'm figuring out why: if your MVA was low speed, if you had a previous MVA in your history with them, and if the person that hit you was also insured with State Farm.
