    We have two air conditioners on our house because we have a long house. The one on the east side of the house was making a loud noise. I knew something was wrong because it never makes that noise. That was when I called American Home Shield and said, "The air conditioner on the west side of the house is making a large noise." The tech came from Gibson Air. And he told us what made the noise was something that was broken. It was broken in the condenser. And he needed to order a part. The air conditioner is working, cooling the house somewhat, but making that loud noise. I dealt with the loud noise. It's going to be fixed. And when the tech got the part, he came and put it in.

    American Home Shield kept us updated. The tech expected the part to come in by Thursday. "I'll be there Thursday." And he texted me and said, "The part did not come in. I'm still waiting. If it's here on Friday, I'll be there Friday." However, AHS has a lot of their service outsourced. It's very difficult, when you're frustrated with no air conditioning and you're trying to deal with a language barrier. And you can hear the chickens clucking in the back. But it's okay as long as the work gets done.

    I have a Jacuzzi tub in our master bath that was not working. We thought it was a plumbing issue so American Home Shield sent a plumber first. Then we found out it was electrical, so the plumber sent it back to Home Shield and said, “Look. It's electrical. There's no power getting into it.” So the electrician came and he went above and beyond. He went up in the attic, and he traced a wire and everything was right back down. Also, he sold me on a product that was really good. It's called a whole home surge protector that are required in newer homes now. We got that put in so I'm very happy with that. He educated us about it before I purchased it. He was very good. I liked him a lot. Everything went so smooth with the claim. It was unbelievable.

    I had American Home Shield with several properties. I went to Choice Home Warranty, but I couldn't beat the service I got with American Home Shield. They understand that my mother is 91 years old and when she has a problem, they get right on it because she lives partly by herself. From the hot water heater to any other appliances I've called them for, I highly recommend them. They do a standout job because they realize they're dealing with senior citizens and they don't want them to have to wait. My mother would’ve sat in a cold house if American Home Shield hadn’t sent a technician out to resolve a problem last winter.

    When her clothes washer went out, AJ’s Appliance came out. They did a remarkable job. I talked to them on the phone and complimented them on how they handled it. They did a professional job and they assessed the problem. They articulated it to my mother and what was exactly going wrong. American Home Shield did an outstanding job processing the claim.

    The toilet was running continually. I called in a service request through the automated system of AHS and the process was very streamlined. Then, the tech who came out fixed the issue. I've interacted with him last year when he fixed a sink upstairs and I had him independently replace a water heater for ourselves without American Home Shield. He does an outstanding and professional job. Also, there was another company that had been sent out by American Home Shield and I refused to let them come out because they caused damage to my home

    I got a pump that wasn't working and my filter selector valve was bad. I couldn't run my pump, and we've got water shooting out my filter. I called it in and the process was good. The repair person got the issue, but my claim is not complete and he has to come back. He didn’t put couplings on the the PVC pipe like it was previously. So, when I have to change my fan in that filter, I can just unscrew the couplings and change it. Right now, I gotta cut it and redo all the piping. He told me he was gonna contact American Home Shield and he was gonna come back and correct it.

    He told me a lie. He told me had contacted American Home Shield and they refused. I didn't believe him, so I called American Home Shield, and I was told he never submitted the request. So, I called him, and he didn't answer. I sent him a text stating what I was told by American Home Shield, and he told me he was going to submit it. I called American Home Shield early today to get an update and he still hasn't submitted it. So, the agent I talked to from American Home Shield sent an emergency email for him to submit the request, and I'm still waiting. I wouldn't recommend him because he wanted me to do the work. He wanted to get the couplings and drop them off at my house for me to do it. I'm dissatisfied at this point.

    I've been with American Home Shield greater than 10 years, and they don't protect the consumer. They go along with what the contractor says instead of believing the consumer. I had a company come out to check a toilet out of mine, and they were crooked from the get-go because the guy didn't check anything. He said, “Oh, I'm just going to put in for you a new toilet.” He put in for a new toilet, and all it was, the drain line need to be snaked out, then that was it. The toilet would not flush properly, and he lied and said parts were missing. Parts weren't missing. They were brand-new parts in there. That toilet never got fixed, and I ended up coming out of my pocket buying a new toilet and putting it in myself.

    On another instance, I had a pinhole leak in my outside AC unit refrigerant line, and the guy from the company American Home Shield sent out told me, “Well, we found the leak,” but he also said, “I can't fix it until you pay me for the refrigerant and that's going to be $980.” I have an old unit, and I told him I already have my refrigerant, then he told me he wouldn't do it. While the technician was there, I called AHS and asked, “Is that American Home Shield policy that the technician cannot use the customer refrigerant, he has to use theirs?” I was told, “Well, that's up to the technician.” So, I got screwed on that deal. I had to get somebody else to come do that job for me.

    I had a plumbing claim. But the faucet couldn't be repaired. So they took a picture of it, and then in about a week, they replaced it with the exact same faucet, and it worked perfectly ever since. They also fixed the leak in my bathroom in the tub. It was a cartridge and it was such a great deal because it was my $80 and the cartridge itself was 150. Also, I had to call American Home Shield for an electrical issue when a couple of the outlets stopped working. The contractor came out and fixed it and validated it. It's always very quick, too.

    A repairman came for the door that wouldn't stay up. He was swift and professional. He walked in and looked at it without touching it. He told me it was a broken spring. It was fixed five minutes later. We had also filed a claim for a slab leak. The experience was horrible. That was our second slab leak. The first time, we did not file it on the home warranty. We paid it out of pocket to get it repaired. But the second time, it caused more damage. We decided to call American Home Shield. It was a lot of back and forth. There was no communication. They just sent a check. We had to call to ask what the check was for. It was not covering everything that needed to be covered. They sent us 1,600, and we still had to come out of pocket 2,500 bucks.

    I have bought an older house, and the dishwasher quit working. The people that owned the house before me had put a single edge razor blade in there and it got caught up in the pump. And the pump gave out. The plumber said that was the weirdest thing he has seen. He was on time, and fixed it fast. Thank God, he wore an extra-long T-shirt so I didn't have to look at butt crack. I appreciate that. I've had to tell some guys to pull their pants up. I had a couple other questions about other appliances that he knew how to work on, so I asked him some questions. And he was very happy to answer them. He was very good. I liked his attitude, his professionalism, and his willingness to answer questions.

    American Home Shield sent out two very good guys on the other things. There were four calls on the icemaker. First, it wouldn't work. And it took a while. They finally sent out a factory-trained repairman as opposed to a general repairman. And he got it fixed. But the first guys that came out said, “You need a new gasket here.” So, I got a new gasket for me and put it on the freezer. I didn't realize it was a problem, but they did. I also had to have my air conditioner worked on. American Home Shield couldn't get anybody out for over a week. And no air conditioning in the middle of summer. So, they had me find one. They walked me through what I had to do to meet their guidelines. So, I did. And everything worked out hunky-dory.

    American Home Shield is a great company to have and provided a good, affordable coverage. Their coverage packages were exactly what we needed for the house. My washing machine started making this grinding noise when it washes the clothes. So, I called AHS and they sent a contractor out. It was four days before they could get out here. But once they were out here, it took the guy 20 minutes and he had it fixed. He knew within a second of looking at the washer exactly what was wrong, had a part fixed. Everything was repaired and it was good to go. He was very professional and quick at getting the job done. He was hard to understand, but that has nothing to do with what he did.

    There was a fan motor that was going out. So, on the refrigerator side and the freezer side, three-quarters of the way down were cooling, but the upper part was not. On the freezer side, things are thawed out. I was getting chunky milk. The tech explained to me it was because of the way it circulates and that was why it was only cooling three-quarters of the way down. So, he replaced the fan motor. He educated me. He was quick, he was neat, in and out, and he was very knowledgeable. He was able to identify exactly what the problem was based on the symptoms that it presented. I have an online account with American Home Shield, and I went in and put what my problem was and what I needed, and everything was done online. They came back and said, “Okay, here's the appointment with a GE Appliance person.” I paid the $107. I've had no problems with American Home Shield.

    With American Home Shield, you get somebody good, and you get somebody bad. One person fixed a problem that we had but was difficult to work with. Another person was impossible to work with. Recently, we had a toilet that was overrunning with water. That ended up being fairly easy to fix. But the bigger thing was that person stayed for quite a while. I had a lot of questions about other things that he wasn't supposed to be fixing. I appreciated that.

    I have been using AHS for years (and was happy about it) but now it got terrible. If you are looking for a $100/month membership without the benefits of a home warranty... this is the one! Coverage is very tricky (they made money... for sure). When it's covered... it takes months to get repaired (from my experience with appliances). When it needs to be replaced: months to get your check. And when you want to cancel... they charge you a fee to make sure you never come back ($70).

    The first guy that they sent out for the hot water heater was off his rocker. I had to throw him out of my house. I told American Home Shield not to ever send him again. That was when they sent out Whitney Holdings. It went fine. The second issue was the electrical and American Home Shield sent out the same guy that first came out for the hot water heater and he had no idea what he was doing. We had a different plumber come out. But they couldn't figure it out with the hot water heater. They were trying to say that all this work had to be done, and that we had modified the house, which we've never done.

    American Home Shield wouldn't cover it because they were saying it was some kind of a clause in our warranty that says they don't cover modifications. That was when I had them send out a second opinion, which was Whitney. Whitney came out and did the second opinion. But for whatever reason, we had to pay for the second opinion out of pocket. It was around $257. American Home Shield would not reimburse me for my $257 because they said that the electrician didn't call them to get permission. I still have to call them and fight with them about it. But it's exhausting because, when you call in, you get a call center in the Philippines and they don't have power or authorization to override or do anything. You never get somebody in the US. You never get somebody who can actually do anything about your problem. When it works, it works well. But when it doesn't work, it works really bad.

    I understand the concept of offshoring customer service to a degree. But at some point, you got to bring it back on land here if the consumer is not getting the desired results or communication that they need from the company. All they're doing is sending you in circles. It's a never-ending circle. You're chasing your own tail. When you're talking to them, they completely do not understand what you're saying. The plumbing in the Philippines is very different than the plumbing in the United States. Just because they speak English doesn't mean they understand. American Home Shield has such a good product. But the way that they make you run in circles makes you feel like you're being taken advantage of and that it's not what you signed up for.

    The heat button to turn the heat higher on the stove stopped working. We would just use the down button to go backwards but it got to be such a pain that I decided to put a claim in. I went online and the AHS website was super easy to use. Then, the contractor who came out was really nice. He'd come a couple of times for other things that we've put claims in for and I like him a lot. All in all, the warranty is a good investment and having AHS is a convenient way to get things fixed in your house when you don't know who to call.

    Every time I've needed the service, American Home Shield has come in handy. It's just the price goes up every four months or six months. There's a shift in what I pay every month and it could be on a yearly basis but I am pleased that when I need it, it's there for me. I had claims on my air conditioning and they had to do my washer twice. I had them come out for my stove, my oven, and water heater. They saved me probably in the ballpark of $8,000 on different things. There were some things that could not be fixed, and they gave me the go-ahead to shop for a replacement. So, it helped a lot. Everybody that has come out was very professional. They get here and get the job done. If they have to order a part, we get that taken care of pretty quickly.

    With American Home Shield, I am not worrying about the different specialties that can go wrong in the home like plumbing. I have the option of either waiting for a contractor to call and schedule or call myself. I called myself because I didn't wanna be out of a dishwasher with a family of four. I got lucky. A contractor came out right away. They treated me with dignity and respect. They didn’t make me feel stupid even though it was a simple fix. I asked if I could watch so I could learn. They said it was not a problem. They made me feel welcome to be part of the process. It was a favorable experience.

    I've had to use American Home Shield at least six times. One time, their contractor came to do an air conditioner repair. They said, “We can either repair it today or we'll have to order a part.” After they left, there were some weird wires on the outside of my air conditioner. It was extra noisy and I kept waiting for it to just die. Except for that one air conditioning experience, all of the experiences have been pleasant.

    They make you jump through too many hoops to get to the source of what the problem is. They are not customer-service oriented. The process is never black and white and it's always one more entity into something else you have to pay because it's this or that.

    The furnace wouldn't turn off and the control board was burnt up. I put in a claim and then I got an email saying Choice would come in. Then the technician called me about 4 o'clock that same day. It was pretty easy. Choice was good and they fixed the issue.

    I like being able to pay just $100 deductible to American Home Shield for somebody to come out. It hasn't been the best service, but it's better than having nothing at all. I just used it last week when the lights in my bed, my bathroom didn't work. They sent somebody out within 24 hours and the company they actually sent out this time was really good. They were in and out in 15 minutes and did a wonderful job. They were professional and knowledgeable. It's not always that way though. I had one company come out for my refrigerator six times, but what is convenient is just not having to search the web to look for different contractors when you can just contact AHS, and they'll find somebody.

    Elite came out recently and told me when they were coming. They were timely. They seemed to be very professional. The fellow looks very young. His name was Moses. I remember his name because when he came in, I asked if they had shoe covers, and they said, "No, but I'll take them 'cause I gotta take off my shoes." I told them, "No problem." They went up and proceeded to look at what was going on and immediately knew what it was. I thought it was my Ring camera that just got installed, but he looked around and said, "You don't, it's actually one downstairs in your half a bath. Come with me."

    So, I showed him where the half a bath was at, and he pushed a button and said, "This right here will work all of the bathrooms if you have a short." So, it saved me $150 not having to install something that I thought I would have to pay for out of pocket because I didn't need it. I've had some hassles with AHS. My AC went out on my one level four times, and each time they charged me $100 to come out. It's the same issue. I didn't like that too much.

    My recent claim with American Home Shield was for a house I own in Charlotte that my dad lives in, and the new unit was installed the day before we closed everything. The air conditioner was working fine, but the heat wasn't cutting on. So, I submitted the claim online. Somebody called me within 30 minutes. Had an appointment for the next day. He came out and met us at the house. Went in the attic. Was there for five minutes. The heat kicked on. It’s running great. And he just said everything was installed but it just hasn’t been cycled once or twice. He made sure it’s working. And he even checked all the components to make sure it’s a 2022 system, and he said it was. Everything was great. When our policy expires, I'd probably re-up or buy another one.

    The coil in our compressor on the outside was out. It took about seven days to hear back and that was excessive. The contractor came and when the guy was leaving, he told me what was wrong and what needed to be replaced. Then they came back and told me the uncovered things. It's ridiculous with today's inflation. I signed the initial contract with American Home Shield 10 years ago. But today, you find out that they are only gonna pay $10 per pound on the Freon. They need to revisit that.

    The contractor was pretty good. But they weren't workable. I told them, “Hey, listen, this is what you need to do. How about if I purchase this and y'all do the work?” But they were unwilling to do that because they wanted to make money. I could have purchased the Freon at cost and the other parts and then do the labor, but they wanted to gouge me on the Freon. They told me that they had to put these little locking clips on where you put the Freon in. I could buy those on Amazon for 30 bucks, but they charged me $180. That’s out of control. It's ridiculous. But American Home Shield did a great job.

    I really like AHS. When they come out to do service to whatever it is that you're calling them for, I have a good rapport with the people. They do what’s needed. They fix what's broken. The only problem I have is that sometimes you have to keep calling them back to find out when the people are coming. Since I've been having different people come, I've had one bad person. Then I had another one that took a long time to submit their report. But overall, they're great.

    Outlaws Heating came out recently for air condition issues. They fixed it. He was very professional. Unlike the man that came out for the toilet and the faucet, he was ridiculous. He was just lazy and didn't want to do anything. When I called American Home Shield back and told them, they sent somebody else out. That was great. The second one they sent out was better and I was glad that they were able to fix the problem. I'm very satisfied with AHS.

    Calling American Home Shield is a nightmare because you get put on hold forever. But the website is quick. I just log my service then somebody contacts me right away. We had our air conditioning replaced this summer. We had an amazing contractor but I wasn't overly pleased. That whole air conditioning process could be more streamlined. There were several days before they got out. Then they said the coil was bad, and we had to replace it But they don't make that coil so it could take a couple weeks till they could find a coil. We had been without air and it was 110 outside. We decided we were going to pay for the air conditioning ourselves and skip the whole thing. It was a 20-year-old unit so if we had repaired it this summer, it's likely to go out next summer. We could have waited another week plus with no air.

    Overall, we've been very pleased. American Home Shield has replaced a lot of other things and when they've had to be replaced, we've had very nice choices. Recently, several of our outlets stopped working. We called American Home Shield then an electrician came out. He said the breaker was bad. He repaired the breaker. The contractors have always been very professional and prompt. I always tell my friends if they don't have American Home Shield, they need to get it.

    If anything breaks, I don't have to look for a technician to come. Also when they send somebody, they send someone who is good and who will take care of my problem. Recently, we had a leak in a faucet and the showerhead. The plumbers came to replace them. They would have been able to come after two days but I was not available that day. So, we delayed the service for a few days so our schedules could match. But they were pretty quick with the response.

    The tech was very good. He saw the work and at first he was not sure how it would be. Then he read the pamphlets and said, "Okay, I can take care of it." He was very efficient. AHS takes care of everything very quickly and they keep me posted. It's really good that way.

    I had an issue with a tankless water heater. I called American Home Shield and spoke with a representative. I had two service calls on the same thing. One company that came out was fairly helpful. But the other one wasn't very helpful. The first technician that came out did everything possible to talk himself out of doing any troubleshooting on the unit. There was an obstruction in the vent hood on the unit and the only thing he did was point out everything that was installed wrong. So there were a couple of items that I tried to explain that he could troubleshoot. I understood that he was saying some of the things weren't up to code. But the issues that he could troubleshoot, he didn't do them.

    The second tech did a better job of explaining things and troubleshot what he could on site. He was professional. I was given some items that I needed to correct on the unit itself, which I corrected. I changed the vent system to the proper vent system. The only thing that's left to do is put in a bigger gas line. But if American Home Shield is going to sell a home warranty, then they should come out and inspect the property first for the items that they're going to cover, and not come back after the fact and tell you that you have a bunch of code violations. They're selling a warranty sight unseen.

    We have old pipes where it doesn't do a good job of circulating the waste out of the house. So it had gotten clogged up. But I haven't heard back from him. I've called American Home Shield. They are telling me they were supposed to get a report from them. They haven't received the report. I'm a little frustrated because when he came, the water wasn't dripping as much, but now, it’s dripping. But the technician was nice. He did what he needed to do. But American Home Shield needs to follow through. If they send somebody and they don't hear from them, they need to follow up versus me calling them and asking them what's going on.

    I've had really good and really bad results with American Home Shield. They're very responsive and quick. They also get somebody out to address the situation. But I don't get to pick who comes and sometimes the people they send are not very good. Recently, AHS put an email to their customers about upgrading old AC systems at a discount. I have an air conditioning system that's from 2000 so it's in their best interest and my best interest to have a more efficient and newer AC unit. The techs from Air Patrol were super nice and very knowledgeable. They gave a thorough explanation. Everything was great.

    If every time I had an AC issue, AHS would use Air Patrol and send that same person, I would be really happy. But they use different companies for every event. Also, when I call AHS, I'm talking to somebody in another company and it's very hard to understand sometimes. Other than that, sometimes I get somebody and they speak amazing English.

    I've always had good service from AHS. About four weeks ago, I called and told them that my dryer was broken. They sent someone out to see it and he had to order parts. We waited for the parts to come, that was about a week, then he came and put them in. I also told him that the barrel was just circling and squeaking. I figured the rubber thing that holds the barrel on and twirls it around was wearing out, but he didn't change it. As soon as he left, I turned the dryer on and when I put the first load in there, it broke. So he came back. AHS said that he was going to have to order the seal to put back on it so it'll spin. So that was another week. When we didn't hear anything, we called them and they hadn't ordered the part yet. So that took another week. Finally, they just never ordered the part to fix it the third time and we still don't have a dryer.

    They called my son a day ago and said that they ordered the part and it's going to come here. When it gets here, they said to call them and they'll come and put it on. Now, it's been over a month that we have not had a dryer. We've been waiting four to five weeks and when that part comes, it's going to take another week before the techs get here. They should have overnighted that part they needed since we'd waited over a month and still have no dryer. That's not acceptable service to me when AHS takes money out of my checking account every month and I pay them on the same day.

    When I called AHS and talked to a girl, I wanted to talk to a supervisor and she refused to let me speak to one. And the strange thing about that is, about a year and a half ago, I had the washer and dryer that matched and I called AHS when the dryer broke. They told me, at that time, that you could no longer get parts for that dryer because it's too old. So they bought me a new washer, which I was very satisfied with. But now, it's the same dryer that's 18 years old. Where did they find the parts for the dryer if they didn't make the parts anymore for the washer that matched it?

    When the contractor replaced the part on my microwave, they replaced it with a different color from the other side of the door. So, I got a two-colored microwave in there. I can see it was two different appliances but the same appliance. I didn't like that. I also wasn't pleased with the vendor before last that I had. I had a drainage in the refrigerator. They replaced something at the back of the refrigerator. But I still had a problem with the icemaker leaking and the ice bin was cracked. They would not have it replaced and said I was just going to be left with that issue with the icemaker leaking and water leaking on the floor from the icemaker. Taylor Made came out, had the ice bin replaced and that’s fine right now. But the issue was I still had to call in another work order for that to get done. That was $75. I'm thinking about stopping my coverage with American Home Shield.

    The microwave wasn't heating up. The contractor called, and let me know how long it would take for them to get to me, and they were there on time. They had to get a heat element for it. They had to go back and let American Home Shield know the part they needed. Then they replaced it. Overall, American Home Shield is very good and affordable.     In the middle of a shower, the water will decrease and just completely stop. Then the plumber replaced the showerhead and did not fix it. I intend to call in American Home Shield and ask them to send a recall because it’s not fixed. Last year, I had the same problem, and the technician fixed it. But I like American Home Shield. They are pretty responsible. I had a claim a year ago for a toilet issue. They told me they will not fix it and gave me cash out.

    I had a glass cooktop that American Home Shield had to work on and replace some parts in. Then I had a washing machine that we worked on from April until recently. After replacing all of the components inside of it and it still wouldn't work, they gave me a settlement to replace it. Overall, the service was good. It was frustrating, but that wasn't American Home Shield's fault. It was just the product we were dealing with. Considering the settlement that I got from my washer, American Home Shield is well worth the money. It's a little frustrating and it's a long drawn-out process because you have to go through them and the repair company and get the parts. But for the most part, it's been very good.

    American Home Shield offers a maintenance program on my HVAC and heating systems. The guy who showed up told me exactly what was going on. We have two systems. The one that's in the basement is old and we have had problems with it. American Home Shield sent somebody out and they replaced parts on it. They're keeping it running. They're patching it and adding new parts to it if they can.

    I love American Home Shield when they cover something and I get it taken care of. But there are some things that seem like maintenance that a company should handle that they don't, like pumping out the pipes. I'm constantly running a snake down our pipe tube to make sure that they drain right. But overall, I'm happy with American Home Shield. We've been customers a long time. They replaced our water heater. Their contractor came out and fixed our stove. What is deceiving a little bit is it's $75 per task. What if something takes more than one task to fix it?

    I had Fidelity, and somebody recommended American Home Shield. I accepted and changed my plan. When I was making the plan, the lady told me, “It's the golden plan. You have everything.” I asked her for the platinum plan, and she said I didn't need it because I live in a condo and I don’t have a roof. She told me that everything was covered and I only have to put the $75 when I need something. I said, “Well, okay.” It's the same with Fidelity. Recently though, Starlight came out for my AC, and they want a lot of money fix it. I just want them to put Freon into the air conditioner and repair the issue with the condensation and take out the liquid. Starlight said that they want to do a lot of things and it costs around $6,000. It's too much money for me, and I cannot pay that. For $6,000, I can take another company and put another unit in. I want another company for a second opinion.

    Originally, we had someone to come out to service our heating unit. When they were here, they put fear in our lives because they told us we had carbon monoxide coming into our house. It frightened us. Because we are a member of American Home Shield, we contacted them to let them know that there may be a major issue. The very next morning they had Evans Air Services come out. The guy was very thorough. He checked our system. He was here probably two hours. He could find no problem with any carbon monoxide coming into the house. We were very thankful for that. I was impressed with the fact that the company got somebody out here so quickly. They realized that could have been a dire situation having carbon monoxide coming back into the house.

    American Home Shield has been very prompt in how they've handled things so far. We've always had very good information from their reps. They've always been very kind. However, we paid for a service call upfront when we contacted American Home Shield. When the company came out, we received a bill from them. They're trying to resolve that issue for us. I'm hoping that they can resolve this issue about the money. I don't feel that we owe this.

The last time I called and I had a pipe break, whoever American Home Shield was going to call was going to take seven days to get out to me.     When my garage door was broken, the first time that AHS sent out a company, they couldn't fix it. They were saying that both springs needed to be fixed at the same time because if you fix one spring, it'd be too much pressure on that spring for that door to go up and down. So if one spring is only fixed, the other spring would break. They could have told AHS about that and the thing could have been done months ago. Instead, it was a waste of time and I was still charged for them coming out

    I called AHS back and they sent out Diamond. Their tech said that they only had a work order to fix one spring, so the guy fixed that. A couple of days after that, the other spring broke. So, I called AHS back and asked their rep if the warranty says spring or springs. She said that it says springs. So she put in another work order. But when the techs from Diamond came out, they said they couldn't fix it because it was the same work order as the one they fixed before. So I called AHS again, waited another week now, and the lady put in another work order with the correct invoice for the second spring. The techs then came out for that and fixed the problem last week. They had a good knowledge in everything. AHS is also a good company. If there's a problem, they usually try to correct the situation as soon as possible. Plus, I can call them anytime and somebody will pick up.

    Our hot water heater was leaking and the contractor that we got was very responsive. We submitted our claim on Sunday and the contractor contacted my husband right away. Then, the tech came out on Monday, looked at the heater, determined that we needed a new hot water heater, and worked with American Home Shield to determine what portion they would cover and what portion we would have to cover. Then they delivered and installed the new hot water heater on Tuesday. We were happy with the contractor. We've also been happy with the service and the partnership we have with AHS. They've been reliable. We've had them since 2016 and had several different claims over that time. Some took a long time to get parts and replacements, but that was more of the supply chain issue than their issue. Other things were addressed really quickly. This last experience is, by far, the best experience we've had, where it was quick and simple.

    The air conditioner would run but it was staying at a temperature that wasn't set up. American Home Shield’s website was very user-friendly when I made the claim. I was told that the contractor would contact me within a reasonable time, and they did. The tech was very quiet but he wasn't necessarily rude, just not very friendly. He said a particular part needed to be replaced. Whatever he did, he did it right when he got to my house. The air conditioner is working good. People should go for AHS. I've had a couple of problems and they've been very responsive.

    AHS is a ripoff company. I filed a complaint about my AC unit that stops cooling after about 45 days when I bought the policy. They refused to repair the AC claiming that it is a pre-existing condition. The Tech told me that gas has been leaking and condenser may need to replace and informed that leak may have started long time ago but you will know only when the gas has drained completely. Till that AC will keep cooling and that is what happened and as per Tech it may take one week to months or a year for the gas to discharge completely it depends on the size of the leak. On the website of AHS it is written that "Undetectable pre-existing conditions" are also covered.

    When I called they told me, "You could have discovered this by simple mechanical test by switching off/on the AC," I asked why I would switch off/on the AC when it is cooling? And even if I do that how I will find the problem. I am not a Tech & don't know much? But they keep telling me, "We can not cover this repair as it is pre-existing." I wish I had check the ratings before. I found they are no. 5 on one website and no. 3 on another one and my friends also warned me about AHS that they do not cover many valid claims. AHS is a RIPOFF COMPANY. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

    Realty Rekey came out to rekey the house. He was really nice, professional and timely. I would highly recommend them. I also had a heater claim that was just finished. However, at first, AHS couldn't find a vendor. But once they found a vendor, that guy came out really quickly. But then once he gave the diagnosis, somehow there was some miscommunication between the vendor and American Home Shield. I had to call every single day for five days to get it worked out until I finally reached an American Home Shield representative who took the initiative to get the problem solved.     The repairman figured the problem out and was here 10 minutes tops. They didn't take care of the breaker. They sent somebody else out. My dryer still doesn’t heat well, but I can't afford another charge right now. Since it was electrical, I didn't think they would fix it. I've called American Home Shield out for my hot water heater. They didn't fix that either because I relit the pilot. But it's a reoccurring problem. They said I have to go without hot water till they get out here, which can be a week. I'm not thrilled with American Home Shield. But the people that come out are very polite.

    Everything that we have called to have maintenance has been covered. So, we have found American Home Shield to be very useful. However, there was one time that something was not covered. Splash Pools came out because our pump was not working. It had started to have mulch. Somebody had thrown them on to the pool when it happened, and one day, it got sucked in.     I had a really big issue with one of American Home Shield's vendors. My refrigerator stopped making nice, and I had a person come and look at the fridge. But my shut-off valve at the back that is coming from the plumbing would not shut. So American Home Shield and the refrigerator company arranged the plumbing company to come in. The plumbing company installed the part incorrectly, and it caused a flood in my kitchen. My kitchen is like in a hill and it goes down so I didn't have a lot of damage in there. Still, there was damage to my kitchen and on my garage wall. I tried to get ahold of the plumbing company, and they blamed it on me as a homeowner. I asked for their insurance information. They used to provide their insurance information. I had to call the state to file a complaint, then finally, the state issued me their insurance provider.

    I am now having problems because I had to hire an emergent crew to come and shut off the water, dry the walls and make sure I didn't have any mold or further damage to my home. Currently, I am receiving a bill from Roto Rooter and it came to the point that it’s past due and the insurance company from the vendor is taking their time. American Home Shield should be more careful who they send to people's homes. I wouldn't let the plumber in in the first place if he didn't come in a company van. AHS should also make sure they verify the companies and have the company's insurance information in case they get into a situation like this.

    Other than that, American Home Shield reimbursed me for the repair on the part that was not installed correctly. They also sent the refrigerator company back once all that was fixed. The technician said there was nothing wrong with the fridge, but we did a video assessment at the very beginning so they saw the problem. I don't know why this technician didn't want to change anything. He wasn't very friendly and didn't want to explain anything either. He seemed really bothered. American Home Shield issued another vendor that came and repaired the problem, and I had a much better interaction with them.

    They rekeyed our locks and the tech did a good job. For the first one, they said it would be 48 hours before I got service and our whole system was stopped up. I could not wait that long. So, I called the plumber myself and he came after three hours and he got everything taken care of. A week and a half ago, the main line got stopped up. The reps said, “You should be hearing something 24 to 48 hours.” I said, “Okay.” And I heard nothing. So, I called back in and they said, "We're still trying to find a contractor in your area.” This went on for almost a week and I got no response. So, I ended up calling the same plumber that I had come out originally and he completed the work.

    I'm not overly happy with American Home Shield. They did me right on the rekey situation, but for my two plumbing situations, they did not. They never sent anybody out and I've been out over $700. I called them four times and they said, "We're working on it." I had a supervisor call in this morning and he said, "We are working on it, but living out in a rural area, it's not always easy to get a good contractor, and we want to make sure that we get you the best contractor.” They got nobody.

    The website for filing claims is okay, but I'd rather talk to a person because the website doesn't really give a description. I had an issue before when my bathroom fan went out. It wasn't working and when I opened it, the thing just fell off. The tech said it was not there and he couldn't do anything about it. The claim was denied and I couldn't do it through the website and every time I call, it's like an hour's wait to get ahold of someone. But other than that, I haven't had any issues with AHS.

    Most recently, I had a claim when my fridge went out. A Plus Appliance came out and it was pretty good. They gave me a four-hour window and they were on time. They looked at the fridge and said it was gonna take three to four days for them to get the part that needed to be replaced. They came out on a Monday and on Wednesday, the tech called me that the part was in and that somebody would come out the next day. They came and replace the part and now, everything is working fine.

    I have a policy on my unit. I live upstairs in a duplex and I rent out the downstairs. When my tenant tried to turn on the garbage disposal in the downstairs unit, it sparked on the wall where you turn it on, then it wouldn't come on. When he looked under the sink, he saw that it was leaking. We had the electrical person come out and he did his thing for City Electric. Someone from Up To Code Plumbing also came for the garbage disposal. They explained what they were going to do before they did it, and they were very professional. I was very happy with the whole experience. When the Up To Code person came, he had a new garbage disposal with him just in case. The garbage disposal couldn't be fixed, so he put a new unit in.

    I like American Home Shield because everything is covered for both upstairs and downstairs. It's a reasonable price, and they come out very quickly. When I call American Home Shield, they assign it out to whoever they're contracted with for whatever the problem is, and everything has always been resolved to my satisfaction. It's nice to just be able to make one phone call. The contractors are top-notch too.

    The techs came out recently for a refrigerator. I had no ice, no water, and no lights inside the refrigerator. I waited two weeks and the part did not come in. But the guy said they'd get me the part, so they got me the part somehow. And a week later, the tech was out. The guy was nice enough and it took him a long time to fix whatever he was doing. He then was able to fix the lights and the water. However, the ice was still not working. He said it was frozen and he did something else. Then he said I had ice but I told him that one of these drawers that you put your cold cuts in no longer works. There's a button that you push to say do you want this drawer to act as a defroster or deli and that was no longer working.

    He also said that I could have ice and water, but the alarm was going to go off every minute. I asked him how we could turn that off and he said we couldn't. But I told him that I didn't want that alarm going off, so he did something to turn the alarm off. I also went on my computer to look up the manual and he figured out how to turn the alarm off. But he didn't fix the drawer that's not working. He said he'd come back and after he left, the next day there was still no ice in my icemaker. So he didn't fix the ice, and he broke the drawer.

    I asked him what to do about it and he said they'd contact American Home Shield. The next thing I knew, American Home Shield scheduled another company to come out to take a look at the refrigerator. I called them up and asked why it was another company and they said because the previous one, Elite, said that I kept telling them new things that were broken, and that they've already fixed the refrigerator. I told AHS that that was not what happened and the refrigerator is not fixed. So now, I'm waiting three weeks for the new company to come out. It's ridiculous, and Elite and American Home Shield sucks.

    I called AHS up and told them I can't wait until November 24th for the techs to come out to fix my ice. It’s Thanksgiving and if they don't fix it, I have no ice. And so they said they'd try to find me another company. They then called me back and said I was on their cancellation list, but they couldn't find another company. The worst part was, after Elite came out for the refrigerator, they asked for a feedback and I gave them positive feedback. Then they called American Home Shield to transfer me away from them.

    Other than that, when my oven broke, AHS sent out a company that took out the parts to have them replaced. That was in August of last year and by February this year, no parts ever came back and they lost the parts. I had a double oven convection and AHS said they'd replace it. But what they wanted to replace it with did not fit. They said it has the same features but I told them that I’d have to get one that fits. They said it was not available for six months and if I couldn't wait, they'd give me $1,200. In the end, I told them to give me the $1,200 but up to this day, I still don't have an oven. We had to buy a countertop oven that we're using.

    It was taking a long time for the igniter to turn the oven on, and we’d small gas. I filed a claim with American Home Shield, and a contractor called me on time. They set up a schedule. They came on time and got right after the situation. That were open and could have been touching something. He didn't waste any time and told me everything about it. Before he left, we turned it on. It came on though not as quickly as I thought it would. I didn't smell gas. But once my wife started cooking the next day, we started smelling it, so it must not be just the igniter.

    I might try to use them due to their promptness in the process of getting the job done the way they said it would. Also, I told them, in my house, they had to wear a mask. They had no problem. They kept the mask on the whole time and did the job. I had a similar situation with the cooktop. The igniter would just click then we’d just turn it off. The contractor came out and changed it, but it seems to be still having the same issue also.

    I've had American Home Shield for a long time. If they can't fix it, you're still charged $75, which I don't like. Over the years, I had someone come out to check my stove because my fan was not working in the back. The guy said he couldn't fix it, but I had to pay $75. Then I called someone back and they came back out and they did fix it. So I was out $75 every time they come out here, and sometimes they're helpful but sometimes they're not. If they can't fix it, they shouldn't be charging us $75, or they should give us a refund.

    I had a contractor come out for the washer and I had my neighbor here to let the technician in the house. But the tech told my neighbor, "Well, if she's not here, I don't know what's wrong with it. I'm leaving." That was really rude. My neighbor called me asking, "Hey, what's wrong with the washer?" But the tech should already know because it's in the contract. I was gone five minutes, and the tech felt that was really abrupt to say, "Hey. Well, I got other things to do. I'm gonna leave if she doesn't get home quick." For the most part, the customer service kind of sucks. They act like they're doing such a big favor instead of them actually working for us.

    American Home Shield keeps using All Star. They have horrible reviews. They're the one that I always get the first time, so I got to call and switch them. They don't even call within 24 hours. They had lied about what they did and they're not allowed back in my home. They need to be removed from the database. On my trash compactor, American Home Shield was gonna go ahead and replace or I can buy one. But they don't ever have any in stock. I had to call every week to see if they had something in stock. If they know I need it and they don't even have an appliance to replace, then why can't they call me when they get it in? I have black and stainless steel appliances. One time, they had white. They were only offering me 400 for the appliances which odd because they're a thousand and some dollars.

    Other than those, I'm happy with American Home Shield. It's cheaper for me to do it. It's like a savings account. When something goes out, I know it's gonna cost me $100. This year, I've had two or three things that had gone out. American Home Shield helps me budget for my appliances. I would recommend them to people. I just tell people that they cannot want things now. If they need their air conditioner fixed now, they will come within 24 hours, but they gotta wait on all the parts.

    For my claim with AHS, the AC was working fine but suddenly, it stopped. They had to replace a part. But when they replaced it, the part was defective. It was making a noise. A piece in the new part was loose. So, I had to call them again for them to replace it a second time. I had to wait another couple of days for it to get fixed. In the beginning, there was a little bit of miscommunication. The techs were calling me to tell me they were 20 minutes away from my house and I was totally unaware of the appointment. The phone call showed toll-free or unavailable and I don't answer those calls. So, that was a little bit frustrating. I had to call AHS to let them know. After that, they ensured that they communicated with me to let me know. The guy who came out was awesome too.

    American Home Shield is pretty good to work with, but they're slow as far as getting things done. For instance, my dishwasher went out and they sent a guy over here to fix it. It broke down again. Now they're gonna replace it. But it's a long-drawn-out process to where you have to do another thing. It could be a little quicker. Also, there was some confusion, as I plainly gave them my number several times and they didn't have the right phone number for me. So the contractor could not get ahold of me, which caused some delays. I carried American Home Shield for year and I did one claim on my dishwasher and my refrigerator, and then they sent me a letter saying it's gonna go from $70 to $100. So I'm gonna start looking around now.

    I'm having a great time with American Home Shield. We've had to have a few claims with them since we've been in the home, and we've not had any issues with them. The first one was concerning our refrigerator. It was constantly leaking. We had a contractor come out through American Home Shield. They gave a temporary fix, but it started to leak again. We had another technician come out. They established that the refrigerator was done. It was dying 'cause it was no longer freezing. The technician said that it's the age of the refrigerator. They explained everything in layman's terms, why something wouldn't work or why we had to replace it. They reported that to American Home Shield, and a brand new refrigerator was delivered three days later. I didn't have to pay anything for the fridge which was great.

    I used American Home Shield this week ‘cause our water heater started leaking. They sent a plumber out who said it was a crack in it. Once there's a crack, it has to be replaced. I had a new water heater within a week. I had to pay $650 that wasn't covered. But I'm sure it would have been a whole lot more if I didn't have American Home Shield. I was referred by one of my friends to American Home Shield. I took her advice and I'm glad that I did. They saved us a couple of thousands of dollars with the fridge and the water heater happening in the first two years of homeownership. I will refer them to whoever will listen to me.

    I discovered on a Thursday night that my water heater was leaking and water was pooled in the garage and in the corner of the living room. The carpet was soaked and water was seeping out through the exterior wall of the house. AHS referred me to a plumber that told me on Friday morning they were understaffed and wouldn't be out until Monday, three full days later. That plumber has multiple negative reviews online regarding their AHS service calls. When I called AHS back, they would only offer apologies for "the inconvenience" and said I would have to wait all weekend long until Monday for their plumber to contact me. They also stated they would not pay for any unauthorized work (I knew this), and that they would not refer me to any other plumber (unforgivable!).

    I called a damage mitigation company that came out and confirmed there was water damage and microbial growth in the walls around the water heater. AHS wanted me to wait 3 full days. 3 full days for water to soak further into the wall, 3 full days for more microbial growth in my living room. I paid out of pocket to get the water heater replaced and I will be cancelling my membership with AHS. They had the broken clock on my old stove fixed, took over a week but that's not a critical thing. They replaced an old broken ceiling fan with one that moved less air, disappointing but not a surprise. They have absolutely no desire to help out in an emergency situation, so be forewarned. I won't even go into how they dawdled over emergency plumbing problems in my brother's house, or how they made my mother wait several days for air conditioning repair in the middle of summer.

    About three weeks ago, I noticed that I had to keep turning the knob to get the water to drain from my washing machine but it really wasn't draining. Then, one day, I left some clothes in there because I have a frontloader and the clothes looked really sour. As he was fixing the washing machine, he gave me full detailed information about washing machines and different brands that they see from being a servicer - what to look out for, certain brands to buy, and that you might have to spend more money buying certain brands to avoid certain issues. He told me my issue was a common issue in that particular washing machine. The company AHS sent me was very thorough and spot-on.

    The blower fan on my AC wouldn't shut off and the appointment was for days later, but the repair people were able to fix it that time of the visit. They were great. I've had the American Home Shield for 12 years, and I've had my bad experiences with them too. Before this visit, I've had some really bad contractors show up to come look at the repair. There's a problem with obtaining contractors that are just out there to get that fee paid to them. After that, they don't perform the service, or they diagnose it differently to where it's just easy money. They pocket the money and go on to the next call. I've requested, in the past, second opinions, and that second opinion always diagnoses the problem as being something that needed to be repaired, and that was covered under the policy.

    We've had two different people come out in this house, and they were both great. Months before, our microwave just quit completely. It was only two years old, and I consider that brand new. There was a technician who came out and he repaired it. He had to order a part, which got sent to my house and I let him know when it came in. Recently, we noticed all of a sudden that nothing was cold in the refrigerator and the freezer. We knew we had to get it taken care of. So, we emptied out whatever we could and disposed of whatever we could then put in a claim for it. Mark, the repairman, came out, and it turned out the heating element in the refrigerator went out. He replaced it, and within an hour, we could feel things getting colder. He put a bottle of water in there and said, “When this freezes, then you're good to go.” He said it might take up to 48 hours, and it was less than that. He was really courteous and professional.

    We're very pleased with American Home Shield. We've moved around a lot, and in this house, this is our second year because the house was new. The first year, we were under warranty. When it was over, we went ahead and got American Home Shield. We've also had it in other homes for years, and that's why we'll always go with them. One thing though, our monthly started somewhere around 43.99, and it went to 47, but I didn't know it. So, I kept continuing, ‘cause I'm a paper person. I still write things in the checkbook to get the balance. I thought, “Wait a minute. I'm really off here $6.” I realized that there was a difference in price, but I didn't get a notification like, “Hey, your monthly payment’s going up.”

    With American Home Shield, I like having the peace of mind of knowing that if something breaks, I don't have to try to fix it myself. I had a microwave that went out, and somebody came out and checked it. Then they said it couldn't be fixed, so I ended up getting a new one. I'm liking everything about AHS so far. It's great. I had American Residential Warranty before, and if I call them for the microwave, I'd find out in three days that they finally found a vendor. Then, two days after that, they set me up an appointment. So, it might be five days to a week before I even get in touch with a plumber.     We've had American Home Shield for a while. Sometimes, if you don't ask the right questions with American Home Shield, you won't get exactly what you want. Sometimes when you say, “Hey, this is what's wrong,” and they'll come anyway, and then you'll pay them the money, and then they go, “Hey, we can't fix this.” We had to do that with the garage. We paid the guy to come out and look at the garage, and he said, “Oh, no, no, no. We can't fix this.” But what I do like that American Home Shield is doing now is they take a picture of the issue. I'm glad we have American Home Shield. I sent in a claim for the dryer and my washing machine. The tech came straight out. He was really polite and nice. He even explained to me the part.

    I had a claim for the cooling tower for the central air and it didn't get replaced until February. Then, it was the faucet on the bathroom sink which is really worn down. The washers and gaskets aren't working and it's really hard to turn and the chrome is peeling. It isn't necessarily covered unless I got all kinds of work done on the lines, the shutoff valve, and a reducer valve and I'm not going to tear up the plumbing to put in a special kind of faucet for a little bathroom sink that gets used twice a day. I went into an agreement with AHS for me to get the work done and find a faucet. Then, I have to get a licensed plumber out to install it. Another claim I had was for a hot water faucet in the bathroom upstairs and that was covered. I've been very satisfied with AHS. I call them when I submit claims and I'm put on hold for a couple of minutes, they answer the phone, and then I get started with the process. Their reps are very considerate and they respond.

    My first experience with American Home Shield was when we bought a house in San Angelo, Texas in 2014 and we've always kept them. For every house since then, we've used them to help us. When you run into an issue in your house, it's one thing to get it fixed eventually but it's another thing to get it fixed in a timely fashion. That has been a really big key. I've noticed that with other companies, it's a lot longer to get the support that you need and AHS never had an issue with that.     There was a crack in the roof that created a leak. I went to the website and requested AHS for the checking of the roof. Then, the techs came out and initially, we couldn't find the leak because it's one of those roofs that has a cover on top of the roof.     We left American Home Shield during a time when we couldn't get people to come out and do repairs. We'd wait a week or two week to get someone to come out. It was frustrating. Then the bill came up for renewal. I called American Home Shield and told them what I didn't like. The person on the other end of the line provided good customer service. He asked if there was anything he could do. I was stomping my feet and angry and told him no. I wanted to come back to American Home Shield a couple years ago but the price was exorbitant. I even wrote a letter to the vice president but never received a response. I stayed mad then got unmad so I researched the best that I could see that would cover most things in our home. American Home Shield seemed the best fit for us so we came back.

    Recently, our refrigerator started acting up. When I called in, the reps had me jump through a whole bunch of hoops. They are mostly foreign speakers. I'm 67 and my husband is 78. We barely know how to answer our phone, let alone take pictures or video. That was frustrating. We had a serviceman come out then waited for the parts to come in. Then they called us and said the parts were not available any longer. The service people called American Home Shield. American Home Shield offered us a couple of different options. We took the buyout and purchased a new refrigerator. We have yet to get it, but we've already paid for it. Refrigerators lately can run $4,000 and $5,000. We were somewhat limited as to what we could do within the guidelines of American Home Shield. But we got a good deal. American Home Shield was extremely fair.

    Sears sent somebody out for the washing machine that wasn't spinning. He was able to go down and get the parts right away then he came back and fixed it. American Home Shield have been good for me whenever I've had a problem. I've always been taken care of. Sometimes however, it's taken longer than I would have liked. I had my heat go out two years ago. Because it's a boiler, they had a hell of a time trying to diagnose what the problem was. They sent out three different companies. First, they sent out an electrical company. Then they sent out boiler companies. Then they sent out somebody else. Finally, they got it fixed. But I was without heat in October.

    American Home Shield saves me money in the long run. A contractor can usually diagnose the problem for $75 or $82 with tax, and they can fix it. However, it seems you're waiting in line for a long time on the phone. Then there's more waiting for it to be scheduled for the company. I got lucky this time. I called on Monday, and Sears had an opening on Thursday. The other one would have been sometime the following week.

    I was disappointed because one of my other houses is due for its new contract. It’s supposed to start on November 15th. It's a very small house, only 900 square feet. They've got limited stuff in it. I used to have the 10-type policy up until American Home Shield changed it. They said, “You got to take this 23-type package that covers 23 things.” I don't even have 23 things. Then they raised it from 650 to 980. They gave me a discount back to 830 but even so, that's still a $200 raise when we don't have but a third of what they're charging us for. It's a tiny house. I was a little upset. I tried to get them to lower it down, but they won’t do it.

    The igniter was going but it wasn't sparking or lighting up my stove. The tech from California Appliance Repair, who also came for my refrigerator, came out and took the serial number. Then, I got a letter from AHS saying it's an existing matter and it's not covered. The tech said it was covered and then he went behind my back and told AHS it was an existing matter. It upset me and I will never use those people again if I have a claim. Other than that, AHS is worth it and it's peace of mind.

    I contacted American Home Shield about some things that were not working in my kitchen and my washer. They contacted Mike's Appliance. They were fast calling me back and making the appointment. They came, changed the fan in the dishwasher, and checked the washer. Everything was perfect. I love the efficiency the most. I also like the quick response and contacting someone in the area to come fix my problem in a very short amount of time. They cover a lot of things in my house. However, I'm so upset that it was $75, and now it's jumped to 100 every single order you want to put in. I wanted to fix two things, and that was $200.

    I've had American Home Shield come out to me three times. One time, they said they cover vents, fans and light bulbs, but they did not do anything about it. But when it comes to appliances, they're good. The only thing is I have to call them again. After Mike's Appliance did the dishwasher, there is one light that stopped working.

    ABNation came out recently for our pool. The dude was absolutely awesome, timely, and professional. I thought my pump was ruined, but it ended up being the cheaper part. It was the plastic covering over the pump and he ended up replacing it. He replaced the spider ball housing and all the leaks. He did it in three hours. It would usually take someone two days. Family Heating and Air did our air conditioner and they have done a good job too every time they've come out and fixed the problem. For our refrigerator, they came out to fix it, but we never received our water filter for it. But the guy fixed everything else on our refrigerator. We've been happy with AHS.

Sometimes, you have some representative that you have to work hard with and sometimes you have a representative that's right on and does whatever needs to be done. Recently, my air conditioning unit had stopped. When I called American Home Shield that day, I explained to them that I'm a 69-year-old-plus individual that's disabled. A repairman came right on out the next day and did the repair. He was very respectful. I asked him to put this little plastic on his feet and he told me, "No, ma'am. I have some out there in the automobile." He went out there, got the little booties, put them on and did what he had to do. He was very helpful in getting things done.     American Home Shield was very quick. I put a claim in the night before, I got a text confirmation that night. The next morning, I got a confirmation call that I was on the schedule. So within 10 hours, I was already able to schedule for somebody to come out. I had somebody out here within a day and a half. The contractor came to fix my ac, and did a great job. They were very thorough. The motherboard on the unit was fried, and they ordered the part, so the part came in, they came and replaced it. The monthly expense is nothing in comparison to what that AC unit cost out of pocket.

    We had a control panel on an oven go bad a week after it went out of warranty. The contractor came out, ordered a part, replaced it. Had a single eye go out on a cook top. The tech ordered the part, waited two days, had the part in and had it replaced. Dishwasher, they couldn't fix it, so they just replaced the whole thing for me. Furnace upstairs, replaced that. A lot of work on that one. Good price for anything went down that we have covered.

    My bath spout was leaking and dripping in my guest bathroom. Also, the water valve in the master bath and my kitchen faucet were leaking as well. The plumber was friendly, professional, and polite. But said, "Oh, this isn't covered under your warranty, because they said it was a pre-existing condition." So we got that squared away. The next time a plumber came, he installed the tub spout and said, "If there's a drip, it's coming from the hot and cold or the diverter valve. That's not covered under this order." I then said, "Well, how was I supposed to know that it's a different issue? These are a foot apart." They wanted to make a new work order which is not right as this should have been fixed. There are five things there that are all connected.

    We still haven't addressed the water valve issue behind the master toilet and the faucet issue because my baseboard is damaged. The issue could either be the faucet, the dishwasher, or the garbage disposal. Underneath the sink, it's dry, but there's damage behind those things. So, they were gonna call out an appliance repairman. It turned out the dishwasher is working fine and it's a plumbing issue still. I cancelled the appliance guy and said that AHS needs to send a plumber. Every time they come, it's another service call and that's another $85.

It happened on a Friday and I was concerned that a weekend would pass and we would have to wait till Monday in order to get someone else. But the American Home Shield rep called ahead to see when the service person would be out for me. She came back and let me know that they would contact me themselves. She told them our situation. They were gonna come out that evening and they would contact me. They wouldn't let it go over the weekend. So she was very, very helpful in getting a resolution to my request and my service. The tech was very helpful. He explained what the situation and the problem were to not just to me, but to my husband as well. He was very thorough in doing what he needed to do.

    The first time that I used American Home Shield was for a stove repair and it took a while for things to come into place. When I called, they informed me that someone would be out. But on the date that they were supposed to come there, I was informed that I would not get the service that day because that person had to go home for personal reasons. Then they gave me a new date. But that new date didn't come to fruition. So there was another date that I was given. Finally, it was resolved. The person that came out was a very good technician. So far, I'm pleased with the coverage that I have.

    AHS is definitely worth having. They save you money. The only one complaint I would have is sometimes I have trouble understanding the language barrier when I call in to submit a claim. It's foreign and it's hard to understand. But that's not uncommon anymore with every business. I had claims for my washer and my dryer. I had a dishwasher claim, too. But it was a leak and it ended up not being something they could do anything with. But they've always taken good care of me.

    I signed up originally with AHS when we bought this residence in 2019 and renewed it in 2020 and in 2021. Went for an upgrade when we renewed in October of 2022. One of the reasons I went for the upgrade was because it offered a free HVAC check. I called them to see about getting that and had to sign up for another thing that they call ProConnect. I ordered the HVAC check online but didn't hear anything back from them.

    I called about it and they said, “You're not eligible for that. You have to have upgrade to Platinum.” I said, “It says right here on my contract I’d get it.” I talked to them for close to an hour and they insisted that I didn't qualify for it. They also said that they had called me to let me know that they had canceled that work order. But, they didn't. But one of the people I talked to said that I have to go online and try to order it, and then I had to go through the ProConnect subsidiary. I did that and what it comes down to is that the ProConnect doesn't have service in my area. So, they sold me something that I'm not able to use. Recently, I have had a plumbing issue. It took three trips to get it resolved. The first tech didn't take care of it. The second one did. I've had them out here for two different toilets. Fortunately, on the second toilet, the technician who finally fixed the first one was the one they sent out for the second one. He was good.

Then, on the other side, my built-in microwave took a dive. It took 10 days to get a guy out here. When he came, he said, "This is what's wrong with it. I'll order the parts." He was here two days ago and he won't be back until November 11th. But overall, I'm happy with AHS.

    American Home Shield's service is great, but it's a little frustrating because there were a lot of things about the plan that they didn't tell us about such that we can't add appliances afterward or that certain things weren't covered. We did not get a good list of what we were signing up for and then I would call them and be like, “Oh, this thing is broken. I need someone to come fix it.” They'd be like, “Oh, that's not covered.” Leaky pipes are covered, but if a pipe breaks, it’s not covered. Weird things like that where they have covered a couple of things, and it's been really helpful, but then we also got stuck with a $3,000 bill because they didn't cover certain plumbing things that we thought they did cover. They weren't super upfront about it. So, that's been super frustrating but the services they have provided have been super helpful.

    When I've tried to call in to ask them questions about what's covered and what's not, they're super unhelpful. It'd be easier to just use their website and online. You can tell they're all going off of a script and if you try to ask dynamic questions, they’re like, “I'm not sure. Hang on one moment.” It's not really super helpful to call them. I've had times where it's been like, “Okay, never mind.” I just hang up. I’ve tried to call them and get the answers, and they didn't help me at all. So, their call-in service is kind of crap, but online, it's super helpful. I'll just be able to go online and put in, “Ooh, I need this thing replaced.” They do it all automatically within 24 hours, and that's nice.

    The water line to the refrigerator was having issues. The website of AHS is okay when I submitted a claim for it. I happen to be in software development, so I know what a good website is. I would not qualify that as industry-leading, though. When you try to select a certain category, there are items that are missing. The techs had to come out twice for our claim. The first time, they made a repair. Then the problem recurred, so they had to come out again. It was an issue with the ice dispenser that they installed, and then they explained what the fix was. If they would have done that from the outset, we would have avoided the second call and the second fee. Because American Home Shield charged us twice because it was over 30 days.

    I canceled my AHS policy because their service was lousy. Dealing with their consumer reps was awful. They hardly spoke English and were very difficult to understand. I had a really bad experience with them trying to get scheduled any appointments. They kept giving me the runaround. I finally went back to my title company and I asked for a full refund because the title company had gone ahead and purchased the home warranty as part of my escrow. Because of that, we went through the proper channels, we tried to schedule service appointments. We had two major things going on in our house and that was our stove. We also had a connection line that we had to repair and go through the gas company to get fixed.

    We tried to schedule service for that stove and never even were able to get a service appointment. We were told by five different reps that somebody was going to call me, somebody was going to get back to me. This went on for days. Finally, I just got fed up and told them to cancel. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with the last representative trying to cancel the policy. Every time I talked with her, she gave me this long drawn-out pause before she could even answer the question I had for her. It was as though she was trying to read from a script. It was a bad experience all the way around.

    We've had a few issues with AHS that have gone okay. But the last issue that we had was the worst customer service I've ever dealt with in my entire life from American Home Shield. Our air conditioning broke on August 6th. One of their contractors came out and said it was the coil and the condenser and that it would be six weeks. We believed him. Six weeks went by and I checked up with him, and he said, "I think your stuff is gonna be here." Through that time, I checked it a few times. Sometimes he wouldn't answer me at all. He was not great at communication. At six weeks, he said, "I'll be there Friday." But he never showed up and then he stopped communicating with me.

    I started calling American Home Shield. They told me that they were going to contact him. They had to give him a chance. I said, "He's had six weeks to do this right." They said, "Give him till the end of the day to call you and set up a time." He never did. That Monday, I called American Home Shield no less than 15 times and every time was a different story. They told us we couldn't get a different contractor, even though this guy obviously was not interested in doing the job. During this time, I have four little kids and we live in the South of the United States. It's hot. We have no air conditioning.

    We were going back and forth. They said, "I'll send you to the escalations department." But the next time my husband called, he said, "My wife talked to someone in the escalations department." They said, "We don't have an escalations department." It was ridiculous and unbelievable that we could not get anything done. We just said, "Can we just get a new contractor? This guy doesn't want to do the job." They said, "That'll take longer." We said, "At this point, it can't take longer. Please just send someone new." They said they would. But we never heard anything. Called back. They said they reordered the part because the part had come in. We waited six weeks. The part had come in August 18th, which was not six weeks later and the guy never picked it up.

    American Home Shield said that they had tried to call him multiple times. He just didn't pick it up. So they reordered it. They said, "We had to give him another chance to go pick it up." But again, he did not pick it up. At that point, it was 11 weeks out from not having heat and air. We ended up calling someone else that came. It wasn't even the coil and condenser that were messed up. It was the blower. This man ordered the part and got it replaced within five days. It has been an extremely negative experience with AHS.

    For my recent claim, Air & Water Solutions was good, but American Home Shield is horrible. I'm waiting for my date of expiration because they're going to charge me a fee to break my contract. But if I could break my contract, I would. It's a bunch of promises that they can't fulfill, a long waiting time to get services out to be fixed. It doesn't seem like I have a lower amount that I'm paying out of pocket than I would on my own. The better route is to not have this contract. It's a headache. It's a runaround. They're a fraud. They don't fulfill what they're advertising.

    I've had individuals that they have sent out to me that they've charged and have taken the copay that I have to pay, and then would never follow through with coming in and doing the service. Then it would take forever for them to reassign another contractor. I've also been charged multiple fees for one issue. But they would separate it as if it was separate issues so they could charge more money. I've had contractors come out, do their assessment and then never process what was wrong with the assessment. Then be told that I would have to wait for the same company to come out to do the job and then would never do the job.

    It's unfortunate that Air & Water Solutions is tied to the company name because they themselves were very professional and they moved quickly once I was able to move from one company to the other. But it took a long time to get them. I don't know why they choose the same company that is doing poorly. Air & Water Solutions should be the first option, and I would use them outside of American Home Shield. But any other company through American Home Shield has not been professional.

    When part of my home did not have power, I created a claim online and it was very easy. There was a contractor assigned for that claim, but they said they will be able to come in after two weeks. I talked to someone from American Home Shield, then they had Puget Electric come out. Puget Electric was extremely responsive. They had someone call me from their company then they worked with me to make sure that they had come in as soon as possible. They had initially scheduled someone to come out a day later, but they were able to schedule me a day earlier. A switch tripped, and they were able to find the root cause and fix that. I'm extremely satisfied with their service. They did a good job, and it's working well.

    It's been three years since I've been with American Home Shield, and the reason I've stayed with them is because of these kinds of situations. It's like having an insurance, if something goes wrong and something needs to be fixed relatively quickly. Most of the time, their contractors are responsive, and if they're not, like in the case of the tripped switch, then AHS was able to find a different contractor who was more responsive.

    The guy was in and out of here super quick, which seems to be the pattern with a lot of the technicians. American Home Shield switched me over to Prestige because I was having really bad service from the appliance company that was working on my stuff before. The guy before told me I needed a hose, but this guy's telling me I have a leak. I said, "Where?" He couldn’t show me. He was not explaining what was wrong. He was here for a dishwasher and a freezer, and he just looked at the freezer and didn't do anything. I haven’t heard from them yet about coming back. Are they ordering me a new icemaker? I'm very dissatisfied. The guy didn't even put his report in. American Home Shield was waiting, then they asked for it and contacted me saying that I could get a second opinion.     I was having a problem with my AC and I did a claim to American Home Shield. It was really expensive. The guy came out. It cost me $125. He spent a lot of time here. When he hooked up to the air conditioner and unhooked it, it looked like some Freon came out, and I was concerned. He said, “Oh, that's normal. Well, the system is old, and that's how much electricity it's going to use." I said, “So it's just old and there's nothing wrong with it.” He said, “Yeah. There's nothing wrong with it.” I said, “Okay. Well, the system is old. I don't feel like it's cooling well enough.” He said that it was, and so that's how it ended. I wasn't really happy.

    There wasn't any other resolution that he offered. He claimed that there was nothing that would improve with the cost of the unit. The place is only 700 square feet and it costs $151 a month to cool it. There are only three windows in the place and they're not very big, and they're sealed up pretty well. We're just gonna have to replace it on our own, or if it breaks down, I'll call back. That’s the air conditioner on the guest house that I have added to my plan. Now, my air conditioner years ago was having the same problem, and the tech changed something. It made my air conditioner work better. The AC is an all-in-one unit and it sits on the outside of the guest house as an air conditioner-heater together. I wasn't really thrilled. They gave me a free checkup on a seasonal unit, and I haven't called them.

    There are a few problems with understanding some of the representatives from American Home Shield. They're with a heavy accent. Then the first year, I was really dissatisfied. I had a problem with my air conditioner. It kept leaking Freon, and the people they sent out couldn't diagnose it. They were trying to tell me that the problem was somewhere coming from the roof into the condo. American Home Shield said, “Well, that’s it. It's not the air conditioner. It's from an uncovered line.” That wasn't the problem at all. I needed a new air conditioner. It was broken. It was leaking somewhere in the AC. I had an independent guy come out and replaced the air conditioner. I haven't had a problem with it. The biggest item that I needed to have fixed, I had to buy myself, a $5,000 AC, because they couldn't figure out what was really wrong with it.

    When we started to run the furnace, all the smoke detectors started going off like crazy. We called in to find out what was wrong with our HVAC and Rivers Reliable Services came out. The tech inspected it and said there was a lot of dust which set it off when the pilot light and the furnace turned on. He cleared and cleaned that up and told us not to worry and that the furnace is in good working order. He was excellent, professional, on time, and didn't make something up. We like American Home Shield. The coverage is excellent and when we have had to submit a claim, we've been lucky to have good people come out and uncover what the problem is. It's worth the peace of mind.

    The contractor was working on a washing machine that I had. It wouldn't drain and they had to order a part. The first part that came in was the wrong part. But it wasn't their fault. So they had to order a new part. When the new part came in, they repaired it real quick. Overall, American Home Shield is very quick on responding to my needs. I'm pretty happy with them. Their vendors are very good. But I wasn't happy about the price increase. It went from $50 to $70 with not much notice.

    Some contractors of American Home Shield are okay. Sometimes when I am not satisfied, I give them a call. When something cannot be fixed properly, the contractor asks me to do this and do that. This happened with my kitchen dishwasher where the water was not draining. This happened before. It drained the water then it came back a couple of years later. When it happened this time, I was told to buy something so the water can drain. That thing is not included in the American Home Shield's services. The dishwasher is not fixed until now. I called back and American Home Shield gave me a different contractor. The contractor said that they submitted the order that they needed to buy a motor. I've been waiting and it's almost two months now.

    I also had a claim for my dryer. The first contractor changed some things. After that, the dryer stopped after one week or two weeks. American Home Shield gave me a new contractor and the dryer got fixed. There is another claim that I've been waiting for. This is for the microwave. The previous contractor didn't really fix it. They said they submitted the order to American Home Shield. I always follow up and the contractor says, "I submitted the order. I don't know when we're going to get back." The microwave is going to be almost three weeks since the first contractor. I've been waiting for this. If the contractor has another customer, they don't need to hurry because they have this. But they have to fix it in a proper way. The contractor would submit the order and the contractor would submit it to American Home Shield. Since last week, I just want to follow up on what's going on with the microwave and the dishwasher.

    Sometimes I'm not satisfied with both parties. I don't know if the contractors order the parts to send the diagnostic to American Home Shield and American Home Shield doesn't respond to them. Sometimes I follow up and the contractor says they are just waiting for American Home Shield. I've been dealing with this issue since summer. They said they were gonna order the fuse. It's only for the microwave. When you push the button to open the microwave, that's a little bit loose.

    If I don't speak up, American Home Shield doesn't care. I always go to customer service and give my opinion. I talk to them and they told me this and that. I told them to make sure when they send an email to me, I wanna combine the contractor. Sometimes they don't allow that. My AC is not working because the fuse needs to be changed. I buy the fuse and I let American Home Shield know because I don't want to pay the $75 to have techs come out and just tell me to buy the fuse.

    There have been plenty of times when I let them connect to my phone so they can take a video of the problem but when the tech shows up, he'd say he never got any of that information and I would have to start everything from scratch.     I've had four claims this year and American Home Shield has saved me a ton of money. I had a dishwasher that the board and heating element went out in. Instead of buying a new dishwasher, I paid 100 bucks, and American Home Shield sent out their techs and they fixed it. Then in July, I came home from vacation, and my air conditioner had so many holes in the line set and coil and condenser that needed to be replaced. So I ended up paying my $100 deductible, and all in all, I ended up paying about 15% of what I would have ended up paying if I had to pay for all that on my own, including the equipment and labor.

    When my water heater started leaking from the bottom, I paid my deductible, and the next day, the guys came out and replaced it. So I'm really happy with American Home Shield. But my last two claims were a little bit difficult when I had to talk to customer service. I don't know where exactly they were answering the phones from but it was really hard to understand.

    When I signed up with American Home Shield, they asked me if I had my doors rekeyed. I was like, “No, I haven't had them rekeyed.” They were like, “Well, we have a free service. They can come out and do it.” They did a great job. For every house I've owned, I've had AHS as my warranty provider. I had to cancel the contract that I had and start again with them this year, but I've had them for a long time. The people they sent were great, very professional, very quick, and asked me what I wanted to do. I also ordered a tune-up. somebody came out yesterday and took a look at my air mover and my heater. I really like American Home Shield. I feel like the biggest expenses are covered. I use their preferred vendors and just by having that coordination through companies, I feel like that lends a lot of confidence for me.

    There was a power surge, and my outlets were not working. I just needed to reset them, and I didn't know that. The techs came out and they told me what the issue was. They did all of them for me and showed me how to do it. They contacted me right away. American Home Shield contacted them right away. After I put in the request, they sent me a text message and told me that they have reached out to their service provider. Then they contacted me two days after to schedule an appointment and then, they came out. It took about four days for the entire process. As far as AHS, I think their deductible is high, but it's cheaper than what I would pay out of pocket. They're pretty responsive, and the service providers seem qualified, so it wasn't someone that wasn't experienced, and he knew what he was doing.

    I was getting hot water everywhere except out of the faucet in the shower. When you turn the water on, you got cold water, but as you turned the valve around and twisted it to the left to get hot, the water would stop and I couldn't get hot water out of that valve. So, the techs had to replace something in that valve. They were great and fast. I'm in the middle of a home remodel, so I get put off by installers all the time. But I didn't have to deal with that with these guys. They were there when they were supposed to be and they got the work done. They were also efficient and clean. All in all, I was very happy with AHS.

    It's been fairly simple and easy to submit a claim with AHS. They get right back to me and give me the information of the person that’s supposed to come out and fix my problem, so I haven't had any issues so far. Recently, my stove wasn't working and they sent someone out. When they first did that, they thought it was the stove that had to be worked on, but it was not. I needed to call back and get with an electrician as it was an issue with the line. So the electrician resolved the issue and he did a good job. He was professional and nice. AHS is a good service.

    I like American Home Shield. This year, we happened to use them twice, back-to-back. We had a concrete slab leak, and when we called, everything was handled in a matter of minutes. They responded immediately and found one company, but the company couldn't come for a week. We needed somebody quicker, so we called American Home Shield back. They found somebody else, and they were out the next day. It went like clockwork, and they informed us of what was and wasn't covered. It was quick, to the point, and just when we needed it. I’m very happy.

    The company that was contracted with American Home Shield called us immediately. Also, the concrete slab leak was covered and everything was fixed in a week. It took a couple of days for the concrete slab leak, which I thought was gonna take longer. They were done within three days. The guy that came out had to cut off the main line and order a part. The day before he came to do what he needed to do, the dishwasher broke. I thought, “Are you kidding me? What is going on?” We called again, and unfortunately, it had to be another claim, which I understand. The repair people ordered the part, then everything was fixed within seven days.

    I called American Home Shield and when the tech came, there was no delay. He came in and he immediately assessed the problem. He fixed things that I didn't even request to be fixed. My light bulb was out and I knew I had broken it. I hadn't gotten around to it. But he fixed the light bulb out and then dumped the glass out into the trash can outside. He swept up some pieces that had fallen. He asked me for a light bulb and then put it in.

    We also had an issue with the wheel on the door that kept coming off track. It was not part of the request at all. But he said, “Oh, you need a new wheel. And this track is dented.” He took his hammer, took the dent out, and put a new wheel on. Then he sprayed it. For the rubber at the bottom, he told me, “Bugs and animals can slide in through this gate, this gap right here. But you would have to call and just get this bottom part done. It looks like it's going to cost about $600.” He told me the information for that. He was very helpful.

    When he left, I said, “I'm not sure if it's appropriate, but do you accept tips?” He said, “No, it's just my job.” But I said, “Please let me buy you lunch.” So I gave him money to buy lunch. He went above and beyond. He said there was one part that he couldn't fix. It required a circuit board. I wasn't sure if they were going to send the same person back out. But it was the same person. He came yesterday, put it in, and then realized what he replaced wasn't even the issue. The issue still persisted. So he stayed a little while longer and he said, “I have to replace all of the wiring.”

    He went up and he said, “It's because I have now all of this equipment in the garage that I didn't have before. I can put it in there. I'm sure you don't want it to just look a mess.” I said, “No.” He said, “So this is as far as I can go. Here are some options.” He presented options and I told him, “So can you just leave me some extra wire? And when I move some of this stuff out of the way, I'll just have someone else come and staple it up to the wall.” He said, okay. He did it so neatly. It's not an eyesore. So I really appreciate everything about him.

    For my dishwasher, I put in a service request with American Home Shield and the next notification I received was the appointment was made on a certain date and time. But nobody asked me if I was available at that time. I reached out to American Home Shield and it took several tries to get them to please stop scheduling it without my input. I'm quasi work from home so I can maneuver my schedule. But I need advance notice so that I can move some meetings around and make sure that I am home. As far as the pay out, I haven't had any experience where my deductible doesn't cover the repairs. So for that, I am grateful and I do appreciate that.

    I've had two issues, and I'm almost afraid to call American Home Shield about anything else. I ended up having to get my air conditioner repaired on my own because their company said that they would not cover it because they said it was a power surge. But I don't know what power surge they were talking about. I also had two different companies come to fix my refrigerator. The first company was just a joke and a half. It took over a month to get them out there to do the repair, and they didn't even complete it. I had to get another company which had it fixed within a week. Overall, American Home Shield has so far been horrible. I'd like them to follow through on anything and everything they say. Also, I would like them to do something, instead of saying their phrase answer to everything, “You will get a phone call back in 24 to 48 hours,” which does not happen.

    It was an email that I got and it said, “Take advantage of the fall, winterizing, to have your HVAC checked, your filters replaced.” So, I clicked on it, it took me to the website, and I scheduled an appointment. It took me to the page where I check out, and it allowed me to check out, and said, $0.00. That is something free that they were offering, so I was excited about that. But I saw that there was a deduction from my bank account for $75, which is the amount that I would pay for a claim. And I was taken aback because I know when I checked out, it said, 0. It didn't say that I would be charged $75. That was very misleading.

    The technician came out. He did an inspection, but he didn't change my air filter. I usually do that once a month anyway. He was very nice, but he didn't do all of what they said they would do in the description. I felt cheated. And I felt like, “How are you taking money out of my bank account when I didn't authorize it?” Because it clearly says $0. I would not have even scheduled it if I had known it would cost me almost $100.

    A repair person came out because my shower was not working upstairs. The water was not coming out. Also, there was a leaking faucet in the downstairs bathroom. The repair person told me that the faucet downstairs would have to be replaced and they were gonna get back to me on the shower. They called and told me that it was gonna cost me $1,000 for them to go in and fix the shower upstairs. I didn't have $1,000. They told me that the claim was still in to replace the faucet.

    I didn't hear any more from them until I called them in the last part of last week. That was when I was told that they closed out the order because the leak in the faucet downstairs was coming from the shower downstairs. Nobody ever told me that. It was only when I cut the faucet off that the water still drips. Even when I take a bath, it starts dripping. I was pissed off because the ticket was closed out when I was waiting on the repair people to come back out to replace the faucet. I was told they can send somebody out again but that will cost me again, which is not fair.

    As for the shower upstairs, I had someone out. They looked at it and had it fixed. They were out of there in 15 minutes. I had to pay an additional $100 to get that done. I'm going to look into another warranty company after this situation. I had a big situation with my refrigerator a couple of years ago. It took two weeks to get my refrigerator fixed and I lost a lot of food. I also had to buy a lot of ice to preserve what I had. I was not satisfied with American Home Shield then.
