I was extremely happy with American Home Shield just not happy with the company that they chose to use. They had to make 4 trips out before my air conditioner was repaired. The repairman parked in my driveway, had to make multiple trips, was there by himself repairing for 6 hours and the scheduler was rude and tried to make me purchase items I did not need. When I complained to American Home Shield, the representative was not friendly but took my information and my complaints.

I have had an American Home Shield warranty on my home and pool for the past 15 years. It saves me time, as I make only one phone call, do not have to get several bids for larger repair jobs or figure out what is a fair quote. Response time is fast and the contractor's name and contact information is provided by email almost immediately. In today's world appliances do not last as long any more, so a warranty makes sense from this perspective too.

I thought a rat had died in the air conditioning duct. Something did die and I couldn't find it. So I started looking around and I was looking down at the bottom of the board and I noticed water where it shouldn't be and that's when I noticed that we had a pipe that was leaking and it lead me to file a claim. Submitting a claim was excellent. They were very helpful and very professional. I called first to make sure that it was something that was covered. And we had the highest level of coverage that you can take out with American Home Shield.
I would highly recommend it to anybody considering it because the times that we have used it, it has really come in helpful and its been very beneficial. It sounds like a lot of money up front but when you start looking at the cost of repairs and dealing with contractors and stuff, it more than takes care of itself. The contractor they sent was excellent. He was very professional, very courteous and he had a great personality. We had to call and have the smoke alarm, fire alarm discontinued. He knew what he was doing. It was a stressful experience because any time you have a leaking pipe you know its an issue. But they more than took care of the situation.

Mostly very pleased. ARS Plumbing was dispatched to address my issues. Work was done efficiently and properly. I don't like the Home Shield auto response system. When I stated my problems, it erroneously dispatched an electrician so it didn't understand what I said and worse, did not give me a chance to validate what it understood before scheduling an electrician when I had no electrical issue, only plumbing.

My microwave had a electric fire. I contact American Home Shield. They sent a repair man, who advise me they had to order the part. Two weeks passed and I didn't hear back from the repairman. I immediate contact AHS. They apologize for the delay, and advise me I would be receiving a new Combo Microwave oven due to the fact part was not available for repair. The new combo was 5" shorter than the original one and if I wanted one that height I could pay the difference from the one the company provide if I found a different Microwave/oven combo that I want. In fact I made a shelf out of the 5" opening. AHS provide the oven, the tech to remove and replace the new one.

I have made several work orders and have not been completely satisfied due to hidden details in their contracts. I believe they should cover more than they lead on during the sign on process. The service will take care of the core problem, but that's as far as it goes. I've been assured almost a year ago when I signed up with two contracts for two different homes that I'd get a rebate card worth $75 each. Ask them where that is and they give me excuses on why I don't have it and to basically hold my breath until I receive it. I can assure you that when renewal time comes around the corner, they'll be offering me the same rebate once again and I'll still be asking where's the one from last year when I signed up!

We purchased a 17 year old home with AHS warranty. We did need several repairs within that first year, one of which was one of our furnaces. Without the home warranty we would have had to pay over $800.00 for the parts and repair. When our year was up we decided to renew. And we have just renewed for another year. Thank goodness we did. We just today had our new double oven delivered. Ours needed repair, however, the part needed was no longer available. They offered us a very nice comparable replacement. We discovered AHS has a great upgrade program. I can't wait to have my new double convection oven installed!

Wed. 10pm noticed water coming up through bathroom tile grout, buckling up laminate floor in hallway, flowing like a river from under the foundation out the side of the house. Turned off water. Called Thurs. indicating plumber would need to have leak detection per homeowners ins. Fri. plumber called to make appt but did not have detector. Sat.1 0am plumber came, but his detector was broken, but would report to AHS if detection was needed. Hello?? Water coming up in multiple areas and we can hear it flowing under the floors. Mon., homeowner's insurance inquiring on status for leak repair. AHS awaiting report from 2nd plumber. Homeowners brings in their own detection company that reports two major breaks in the line (but doesn't cover plumbing).
Tues. I called to speak w/ supervisor who was helpful and brought out 3rd plumber within 4 hours. 5 hours later, plumber arrives and gives me estimate for 1 leak (could be more). AHS informs me that the total est. would be $1330 plumbing repair + $175 detection fee since they wouldn't honor insurance detection report. I know my policy max is $1,000 and I would be paying over $500 (since the est. was only for 1 leak). At this point, I am frustrated and call to speak with a supervisor again to discuss my options only to be told the person would need to fill out a form and it will take 24-48 hours to get a call back. When I asked to speak with someone else, she put me on hold for 17 min. so I hung up.
I'd been speaking with 2 other supervisors and I decided to cash out. So basically 7 days later, I cashed out but not before they told me they were reducing my benefits to $760 because they charged me $240 for their plumber's leak detection service. I paid my $100 service fee and the math just doesn't add up. I also had to pay the other plumber for detection.

If there is an issue with any of the service companies that are sent out, AHS will correct/address any service complaints immediately. I don't have to wait usually more than a day. They work with my schedule. The longest I had to wait was during the summer for my AC to be fixed and that was like 3-4 days... they were very busy. That's still not bad. I like the set price, hope it doesn't crawl up... again. Thinking 'bout upgrading. I'm glad that when I purchased my home, this was an option.

I was disappointed to see the service rate jump from $50 to $75 in a matter of a couple of years. We've been using AHS for a little while now and for the most part the Contractors have been good. We've had one situation (dryer) where we continuously had to call the back for the same work and ended up paying again and again because it had fallen outside of the short window. That was very frustrating, especially since it was the exact same problem each time. It was never fixed correctly but after spending all that money again and again we decided to just forget it. Lastly I would say that your policy of requiring a credit card on file for 12 month payments is ridiculous. I do NOT like giving my credit card because I've had bad experiences in the past with them expiring or being compromised. I was very annoyed that the customer service lady basically told me to suck it up because your policy is what it is! So much for customer service. I do plan on looking into other warranty service options out here just to ensure there aren't better options and conditions elsewhere.

I pay the higher monthly rate because it covers air conditioners and furnaces. I have found, even if it is 12 years old and the refrigerant and the cost of repairing the leak is substantial they will not even consider helping with a new unit and will pay only a very small amount on the repair. I will not pay half the cost of a new unit to repair an old unit with no guarantee. Their claims are misleading. I will not continue to pay $75.00 fees and a monthly charge of $65.00 with very little in return.

I purchased AHS about 8 months ago after my Dad talked me into it. I usually think all insurance is a pain when you really need to use it. So it was a total surprise at how easy & great AHS was when I placed a claim. My hot water heater went out. I thought now I am going to have to jump through hoops to get my claim paid. I called the number, got an automation system, entered all the information in and it said the name & number of the contractor that would be contacting me. Wait what, they contact me. Within the hour the contractor called to set up a time. They came & replaced the hot water heater. I paid my deductible and the rest the contractor took care of. I would recommend this insurance to everybody!

Recently, the ac unit needed to be entirely replaced in our San Antonio TX condominium. The property managers, that we hired to govern our unit since we live in Laredo Texas, placed a work order but they eventually had to involve me because they claimed "they were not being helped by BPG." The unit did not go get looked at for 3 days. (I don't know why it took long for me to get contacted by BPG to get approval to continue process.) More than a week would pass before the unit was accurately repaired. In addition, the repairman, at times, did not want to speak to the property manager and the HOA people, which in my observation, had he done so, the proper unit would have been replaced in a more timely fashion.
It is imperative to my husband, Juan and I, that we have responsible people respond to our unit needs especially when it involves our tenants not having air for more than a week in the midst of 100 degree weather. In the future, if something requires our approval/attention, I would like to get notified at once so that the process not falter. I can be reached by phone if this requires more investigation.

Last week I decided to have our air conditioner serviced because we just bought our home last October and wanted to make sure everything was in good condition. The service tech showed me that one of the switches was almost ready to stop, and that the capacitor also was in bad shape. We had them replace the switch and clean the unit. $260.00, I immediately emailed Home Shield to see if they would at least pay for the switch $89.00. No response at all! I have used AHS for over 10 years and 8 out of 10 repairs are a nightmare. They have poorly trained and nearly illiterate people answering the phones with nasty attitudes. They sound as though they are paid by the phone call, since they blurt out quickly and inaudibly their scripted telephone answers. They have had too many changed repair companies and all of them complained about the lousy reimbursement time and how little they pay out for the customer, telling the repairmen what they can and cannot replace, while premiums continue to escalate and the service call from $25.00 each to $75.00. The rare times I actually got someone with a courteous and knowledgeable demeanor, the service went smoothly. My AC compressor went and they use all after market or refurbished parts, plus I have to pay $880.00 out of pocket for Freon and compressor removal.
My unit is 15 yrs old and they told me unless it is 25 yrs or more, they will not replace it. They will, however, continue to repair them over and over with my expenses and aggravation of no AC repair for weeks until they sort the paperwork and order old used parts. Some racket, huh? When I called they tried to push me to repair or cash out immediately when I asked to get a second opinion and a day to get back to them. Weighing the costs I opted for a new unit, but I am waiting over 3 days for the cash out amount they were pushing on me! Calling 7 times in 2 days to tell them I was emailed by AHS that they ordered the compressor without my authorization, I was being shoved from one to another incompetent person, and then back to Customer Service when I got the right party. Frustrated, I hung up.
Today I get an audible, intelligent person who says it was shipped, refused by the installer and the good news is I was not charged a re-stocking fee! Really? I am still waiting for a call as promised for the cash out, which is probably a low figure. I do not recommend them for larger appliance repairs. I dropped my washer/dryer of 15 yrs since they keep band-aiding them instead of replacing them at $ 75.00 a service call. This will probably be my last year with them. The cost of annual premiums and service calls outweighs the value, add the insulting CS reps without any professionalism, I think I'm out. Shopping for others like GE or Sears blanket plans, now.

In the year that we have had AHS coverage, we have definitely utilized it! In the year we have had it, we have had the HVAC system repaired, the built in microwave required 4-5 visits (but only had to pay the fee once as it was all recurring within the same time frame), the ice maker fixed, refrigerator drawers replaced, and a plumber to fix the drainage between the dishwasher and disposal. We have been pleased with each of the repairs and the companies that made the repairs. They have all been professional and courteous.
The only drawback of the coverage is that it does not cover secondary damage. My air conditioner leaked through the ceiling and onto the carpet under the intake vent. While the warranty covered the repair to the air conditioning unit, it did not cover the ceiling repair. This is addressed in the information about the warranty. Just be aware of this so you do not purchase with a false understanding of what is covered.

My most recent claim was for my garbage disposal. The other one that was more expensive was the shower valve. The water pressure had been depreciating for quite a while 'cause it's maybe 7 months and it just got to a point where it was like standing in the slow rain. I finally made a call on it and the guy came out. It was perfectly fine. The customer service was very professional and knowledgeable. Everything went well. The contractor was very personable and professional. He was very well dressed, very mannerable. He kept me up to date as far as what was going on and asked me if I had any questions or concerns or anything like that. Now it's wonderful. American Home Shield was great, very financially beneficial.

Back in February, the fan motor on the air conditioning had kicked off and so the house wasn't heating properly so I called up American Home Shield on Saturday and they had a couple of technicians lined up. Using the internet the first time, I did it wrong. I listed two systems being broken and I only need the one contractor so they cancelled the one contractor and another one came out on Monday. It took them until Wednesday to get the parts. I thought the contractors lacked in personality.
They came out on Monday and it was Wednesday before I had it fixed. They left on Monday and they said, "We're gonna go see if we can find the parts. We're gonna see if we can find the right motor. This is kind of an old unit and we'll get back to you probably tomorrow." Wednesday morning came and went, hadn't really heard anything. Wednesday late morning they had showed up. They said they had the wrong motor. It was too big to fit in the housing on the air conditioning unit. The motor was right but the casing was wrong so they had to go back and get another one.
By Tuesday, I felt like they should've been able to call me up and say, "Hey, sir, just wanted to let you know this is what's going on." For crying out loud, I'm living without heat and I got family. I got my two-year old son here and my wife is pregnant and I'm kinda wondering on Tuesday what's going on. I didn't get a call until finally something came out on Wednesday. I felt like they could've been a little bit more proactive with just a courtesy call, let me know what's going on. But they finally got the parts and got it installed and everything was working fine. My experience has been very positive. I'm glad I have it.
You can go for years without having a claim and then finally something happens. But it was kinda nice knowing that good thing I went with this warranty program because I don't know what this is gonna cost. I just got out of the Navy in November, I don't have a job right now. I got quite a bit of savings saved up but until I find a job, I'm living out of savings. So it was nice having this warranty service.

I bought an LG washer/dryer all in one because I only have space for a single unit. After 6 months it started leaving the clothes WET, not lightly dewy as is to be expected from this sort of dryer, but sopping, dripping wet. It was under warranty and over 4 months they sent out repairman after repairman from 3 different local repair services. They replaced every component as far as I could tell, but NONE of them fixed the problem and it was finally declared a lemon. I got a refund and bought another unit.
Then, when my new machine started doing the same thing the other one had done I thought, "GREAT! Here we go again! Only THIS time it's not under warranty!" But, I had American Home Shield this time so I called them. They sent a repair ticket to Sears who sent out their guy. He first drained it, then watched it for a bit, spoke to me about what I'd been seeing and then said he knew what the problem was and needed to order a part. Well, with the exception of draining it and watching it, this was a repeat of before so I asked, "What it is?" He said, "It's a stuck intake valve. It happens sometime with new units. One of the valves sticks open and keeps adding water, even in the dry cycle. It's an easy fix, but we need the part."
Well, the OTHER repairmen had never replaced the valves - or even considered them as the problem. We got the part in, he replaced it and POOF! all well. It's been working perfectly ever since. American Home Shield obviously screens their repair people by quality and not simply cost. I highly recommend them to anyone for new or old appliances. Thank you for giving me back my machine.

We waited, and called for the next 24 hours, and they were unable to find a company to work on the AC on the roof. We called one AC company on Fri who sent a repairman out immediately, with a Ladder, who determined the problem. AHS was unwilling to authorize that company, and were still unable to find an AC, and would not approve the company we found on our own with one telephone call. We had the AC repaired by the company we found, and will be filing a legal claim against AHS. 10 days with no AC in Houston is quite difficult - and AHS was not concerned a bit . Realtors choose these companies to insure buyers against certain appliances and mechanics in the home that the inspector didn't catch pre-closing. I do not know how they choose the company, but the new home owner does not review the terms, conditions or options provided in the policy. We are just given a policy and live within the policies of the company.
We've had problems with the same furnace/air conditioner since purchasing the house. First freezing in the morning with no heat and then sitting in stifling desert 100+ heat. They keep sending out the Same Repair company (Amen Heat & Air). If the attempt to fix the air once failed, American Home refuses to send someone new. PLUS the service company has 48 hours to call to set up an appointment. An elderly person could die in the stifling heat during this period! I called my own service company that I had used in previous years. They found that there was a problem with the thermostat, the unit needed coolant and there was a wire that was barely making contact so that it would be hit or miss for the unit to work. Amen's tech had either missed all of these problems or had ignored them. Now the unit works and the work was done sooner than American's guidelines. I now believe this home insurance repair industry is a joke and needs to be overhauled along with the entire insurance industry in this country.

In the past, I have had nothing negative to say about AHS but when my air conditioning system failed that has changed. I have carried this policy for fourteen years and I completely fell for the line, "AHS lets you worry less". You delayed for three week a simple two-hour condenser and evaporator coil replacement. This entire process started in the first week of April. After delay after delay, phone call after phone call, and begging you to fix the system because the environment in my home was causing my wife health issues, you delayed the repair again for cost of the contractor parts. This was the second contractor you sent because I assume you had issues with the first one? You then made arrangement for a third opinion. This occurred on Wednesday April 30th. That contractor did not contact us as I was told so once again I contacted AHS and was given their number.
I contacted them. And was informed that they could not come to the house until Friday late in the day. This would have delayed the repair for another week. I know this because the people at AHS who make the decisions go home on Friday after 5:00 pm. I gave up on you which is what I believe you wanted in the first place and paid for the repairs myself. So, I have wasted my monthly premiums for fourteen years, wasted $500 for my part of the compressor you had installed (and it failed and/or damaged the system), put myself and wife through stress which was completely avoidable. For what is the question I am struggling with right now.

I must say that I had a very, very positive experience with American Home Shield. Everyone that I spoke with from start to finish were very professional and had exemplary customer service skills. I recently had trouble with my washer. I have never had to use this service so was not sure what to expect. My husband placed a call to the number listed in our contract papers (on a Sunday). A representative answered right away. She was super knowledgeable and oh so helpful. She told us repair company from our area would call us tomorrow to set up an appointment to come out to evaluate our washer.
The local company came out on a Friday, told us what the problem was and said that he would order the part needed and get back with us to put in the new part. The company called to say that the part could not be found and that we would receive a call from AHS which we did. We were told that they would have to replace the washing machine because the part could not be ordered. It was explained that they would shop for the replacement and get back with us for the machine to be delivered and installed.
We have family sized stack washer and dryer set so of course you have to replace with the same brand. AHS could not find a washer to replace ours with the same brand. I asked if I could shop for one. I was allowed to search for one of the same brand but within a certain price range. This was accomplished and the washer was installed within a week's time. I am pleased with the service so far and pray that I don't need to repair or replace other item anytime soon. However I feel very secure that AHS will be just as easy to work with as my first time.

But every time I've used them, they've gotten somebody out here and got the problem fixed. However, today was a little snafu. I got a problem with one of my toilets and people told me that they'd be here at 8 to 12 and they called and said, "Well, more like 12 to 2" and then they called right before 2 and said "2 to 5." No, I don't play that game. I said, "I sleep during the day and I work at nights so I need you to have to be here first thing at 8 o'clock tomorrow morning." They assured me they would be.
Before American Home Shield, I researched when I bought this home and our realtor pitched the name and so far so good. It's like the cost of living, everything goes up but they went up exponentially from $500 to $600 something and now the deductible is for $75. They keep going up on these deductibles, it won't be worthwhile to be using because I'd just hire somebody to come and fix the problem. I'm satisfied with the company. I'm just befuddled how they just go up so much on the premium. They're going to price themselves out of the business.

Well, 8 months later I was billed to completely recharge the system with Freon. After the billing I complained about the Freon leaking out in the 8 months after the replacement of the compressor and how I was responsible for the evident lack of craftsmanship. The AHS representatives response to this, after I finally got a response, was that it was 8 months and that these systems can leak other than where it was worked on before. That can be true, and I would be inclined to believe that in an old home, but this home is 8 years old...come on!!! Aside from the poor partial refund that I have received, I really need a thorough explanation from AHS on what I paid for and what I am actually getting a refund for...I have asked for this multiple times and still don't have an answer. I filed a claim about three weeks ago. My plumbing had a stoppage and he was able to unstop it by running some water through it and doing something. And then three weeks later, it stopped up again. And he came out. And that’s when he determined it was a problem with the sewer line, with the root system getting into the line. And he said that American Home Shield does not cover that. And I said okay, I’m gonna have to have that done though. So I had to hire somebody to do that. The work was completed and I also got a letter from them that they don’t cover that.
I’m really trying to decide what I want to go ahead and renew my subscription. It’s up to over $600. I've been with them people for quite a while. When I called to submit my claim, they were pretty courteous. They always are. They answered quickly and responded, and contacted the agency to do the job for us as quickly as possible, and kept me informed. I can’t ask for any more than that.

Our bathroom sinks were clogged on a Sunday and American Home Shield representatives helped to get a contractor in record time. Which the tech called in a few hrs. Due to scheduling on our end, we were able to get the problem diagnosed and solved in one day. Later that week, our gas dryer was not heating and another contractor arrived, diagnosed & fixed the problem in record time. I will say having American Shield helped save a lot of money to fix what the problem was and cost-effective. Thanks for having round the clock customer service which helped in a time of need.

I has a problem with my washer. The power button would not go on. The tech thought the master computer board was the problem. Got the part after a week, put it in and it still did not work. Discovered the dial component was the problem and that part would take a month to get because of the age of the washer. AHS offered to reimburse me the cost of the new part to purchase a new washer, which I did.

I have had an AHS warranty for years and each claim has been handled quickly and professionally. Recently there was an article on WSMV in Nashville referring to Angie's List not recommending home warranties because they don't pay well. I called the reporter and told him about my experiences with AHS. The problem with home warranties is that people look for cheap instead of quality.

I have had this coverage for almost 3 years now. I took over my mother's house upon her passing and realized she had American Home Shield. What a blessing!! It is so nice knowing I can make one phone call and have something taken care of. It saves me time from getting estimates and from looking for a trustworthy service provider. I like how American Home Shield takes care of it after my work order is put in. I have never had a problem with them. Everything has been fixed in a timely manner and to my satisfaction. The service providers I have interacted with have always been professional and prompt. This protection and peace of mind is worth the money!!!

We used AHS for 4 years - about five years ago. We renewed this year, and have now noticed SPOTTY and SHODDY contractors - sometimes. We have had four requests for service. The two different good contractors correctly solved two air conditioning issues. We had a water softener issue that has never been solved, though I did pay the guy the copay when he asked me to fill his Pepsi bottle with water "to be tested." Haven't seen the test results, nor heard from him, in two months. We had a drain stoppage in our bathroom and toilet. Bathtub and toilet backed up on a Tuesday - AHS warranty sent my service contract to AZ Remodeling & Plumbing - AZ couldn't come until Friday PM. (Terrible response time!) Friday morning at 11 AM, AZ called to cancel the service appointment and did not know when they could reschedule - maybe sometime the next week.
So, I called AHS and they provided me with another name, who would come the next business day - good response time! In the course of the Friday afternoon, the AZ tech just showed up - I told him I was surprised he came - he said that was because he didn't have an auger - but maybe he would be able to fix my clog. I showed him the tub and toilet - he said the problem needed augering from my roof, which the warranty company would not cover. The tech did nothing in his 2-minute visit in my bathroom. So, for the low, low price of 350, no 275, no 200 dollars, he would come back the next day and do the job, if I would pay HIM, OFF CONTRACT. I would not do that, so he got his copay and he'll never be back. The plumber who did come (2nd contractor sent by AHS) did a great job diagnosing and fixing the problem, explaining what he was doing all the time to me, and of course did not have to go on the roof.
So, some GREAT contractors - a few LOUSY contractors. I will still renew, as eventually, the problems get fixed.

American Home Shield is one of 3 companies I use. They are #3 or the worst of the 3. The reason is that you never know what you are going to get. Mainly it is the variability of the contractors that seems to be the problem. Company to company and technician to technician. I have had great experiences and very bad ones. For example, one good experience was a tech came out and replaced a garbage disposable in one trip and it was great. The bad one has been an open repair on a dishwasher that has been open for over a month. I cannot get status or an invoice no matter how many times I have called.

I've never had a problem with AHS until this last experience with them. We had an issue with our dishwasher. It took over 2 months, 3 service providers, and lots of phone calls from me to get it taken care of. Of the many times that I was told that someone would call me back, I was only called back once. Then after finally getting our new dishwasher, AHS tried to charge us for another service fee, which then in turn I had to make more phone calls. Until this last issue, I had no problem recommending AHS to people. Now I'm not to sure I want to do that. It's going to take a great experience next time for me to recommend AHS again.

We've had very good experience with American Home Shield. We've had it for about six years and my only complaint is that the cost keeps going up. They've gotten extremely expensive. I was a realtor and I used to recommend that my sellers provide one for the buyers and it was more reasonable then. It was 300 something dollars but I'm paying over $600 a year to cover the appliances and everything in the house. The service is good and we've been satisfied with who they sent out except for the most recent one. Other than that and the cost of the policy, we've been glad that we have it.

Instead of going through the phone book and looking up a local contractor to do the work at outrageous fees, the AHS trade service call fee is locked in for the duration of the contract term and is generally lower than a local contractor would charge outright for the same size and scope of work. AHS has been very helpful for me as a new homeowner and I'm glad that I have a home protection plan. I purchased American Home Shield insurance on the advice of a friend who has had decent luck with them. Shortly after I purchased the insurance, my washing machine broke. Someone came out very quickly from Sears. I was told the parts would be in the following week and they would come back on that date to fix it (they gave me a date and time). I needed to call them to change the time and was told - "oh, those parts are actually backordered for AT LEAST a month." They told me American Home Shield will do everything possible to not replace the item, but rather fix it even if it will most likely break again and that I needed to take it up with American Home Shield. So I have been to absolutely no luck.
They won't do a thing. Even though the technician said it would cost the same amount to fix all the part vs. replacing the machine. They will still do nothing. I was told that I needed to be patient and when people got "ugly" was when things turned bad. I was told it is not uncommon to wait 1-3 months for appliances to get repaired if any parts are on backorder and there is nothing they can do. What an absolute ripoff! What if it had been my stove or fridge that you can't go 1-3 months without? What if it was a leak that was causing major damage? They said all those things simply take time and I should be patient. I thought they would actually fix it in a timely manner or replace it as they advertised, NOT REMOTELY THE CASE. Do yourself a favor and find a different company to deal with.

I had a problem with my garbage disposal and was told it would need to be replaced for a couple hundred dollars. American Shield sent out Aaron's Plumbing and they said it was repairable. They repaired the problem in less than half an hour! I also had a heating problem with both my upstairs unit and my family room heater. After having numerous visits and calls, my upstairs system went from frigid to burning hot before it was successfully fixed. However, my wall unit in the family room was never fixed.
I was very disappointed and had to go outside of American Home Shield to find an HVAC technician who could solve my problem that kept my first floor freezing cold during the coldest winter in years. After the other company came and fixed my problem in 20 mins. I was grateful, but wondered why the companies used by American Shield were so inexperienced with that piece of equipment that they couldn't fix it over a month's time, leaving me in the cold.

We turned it over to AHS. They were a little slow, but did come through. They sent us a check for $420+. I thought they dragged it out a little longer than it needed to be.
