Be aware of the contractor that AHS sends for your repairs. I paid the initial service fee with a $75 Check and upon scheduling for the service AZ Plumbing told me to be sure to have cash, cashier's check or I could charge the service with an upcharge of 5% for the service. My check was good enough for the service fee but not the work. I called and stated that I wanted to pay with a check and they told me it was their company policy. I asked why didn't they tell me about their company policy before engaging in my business. I complained to AHS and finally I agreed to pay another $75 and use another contractor. The new contractor came and assessed the work and called AHS only to be surprised that they could not be authorized to do the service. The AHS customer service rep Mario told me I was required to do service through AZ plumbing or cashout.
Through all of this my water heater pan over ran and leaked into my ceiling and ruining the drywall. Now I have additional repairs due to all of this confusion. My check was good enough for the service fee but not the work.

We purchased our home in 2012. It came with AHS warranty for one year. Three days after closing and moving into our home the kitchen sink was backing up and we called AHS. Three days later they sent out a affiliate plumbing company. After paying my $60.00 deductible I was told that the plumbers could not do anything and that I would need a special company with a special machine to unclog it. I then called AHS a week later who stated that they were still looking for a company. I ended up having a family friend handle the problem for me.
About two months later my electrical socket in my kitchen sparked when my daughter tried to plug something in. Once again I called AHS. They sent out an electrician who charged me the $60.00 deductible to tell me my socket needed to be changed. Although it was covered under my contract up to $300.00, I was told that his fee would be $299.00 and that I would have to pay out of pocket for the replacement of the socket. I never renewed my contract when it was up. Please don't waste your time or money with this company.
Hi Latoya, I apologize that your experience with your stoppage and electric service work orders led you to not renew your contract. We do appreciate and value your feedback. We will use this to better our services.

I have had numerous plumbing issues due to bad water in my area. The cost to replace the high end fixtures in my home apparently were too high for the warranty company although I have the most expensive plan. They asked for a second opinion from another plumbing company who refuses to pick up my calls, won't call in diagnoses to AHS and is completely ignoring the problems I have here. Work order was opened in May 2014 and I am still trying to get the other plumbers back out to my house 4 months later!
I now have 3 out of 5 toilets that need to be serviced and no help. It has taken weeks of calling AHS to finally reach someone in Customer RELATIONS to be assigned to my case (not customer service). Even with that, it takes weeks for anyone to call me back. Meanwhile, the plumbing problems continue. Horrible customer service... or a great delay tactic for not paying to fix what they are contractually bound to repair/replace.

Both of my recent claims with American Home Shield worked out smoothly. I had a claim for my air conditioner and the most recent one with the washing machine. Submitting a claim has been getting better and better since they've gone more high tech over the years with the website. I’m kind of a web techie kind of a person so it worked out pretty good. As far as doing it via telephone call or doing it via anything else, it seems to work out pretty good. The performance of the repair so far has been good.

I implore anyone that is deciding whether to sign a contract with this company to understand that all they will do is take your money and never fix anything. I spent 3 months trying to get my air conditioning fixed. I spoke to about a dozen people at AHS trying to resolve this problem, all of whom did nothing to help or even get back to me. The first substantive response I received was only AFTER I filed a complaint in small claims court.

I had AHS for over 5 years, the first 3 times 2 was with my refrigerator and the first repair person was a rip off. Took a blow dryer, thawed out the ice on the back wall of my freezer, took my money and left. 2 months later same problem - not freezing, sent a second different repairman out. I questioned the closeness of the repairs and was told that after 30 days there was no warranty on the previous service. This time the same thing - blow dryer to thaw out the ice but this person took the back panel off and said my condenser was burnt out and after I explained about the previous repair service, he told me that this should have been changed out last time. So I paid double for the same problem and AHS did not care. Then about 3 years later my hot water tank went bad and the service person came out and looked at it and said I needed to upgrade my water heater pressure gauge and I said well, everything is covered by my AHS policy and he said that I needed to call AHS in about 2 hours.
After he turned in his report and left and I did and AHS said that I had to pay over $800.00 to have a new hot water heater put in and I said no way and they would not honor their contract, that they were not responsible for upgrade changes. I then called the plumber back and asked him to just bring my hot water heater out and I would take care of it myself and he refused to unless I paid the over $800.00 and let him put it in. I would not get it so I changed to a electric water heater which I received free and had a person install for a $100.00 charge.
AHS is a rip-off in my dealings with them and I would say Never do business with them. They also raised my premiums and lowered my protection policy like on my central air they changed from full coverage to only allowing $3000.00 maximum coverage and I had to pay the rest. What if a burial policy only paid to have you half way buried, same thing. Stay away from AHS.

I am a new homeowner and being spent good amount on home purchase, I decided to have home warranty as well. So I signed up with AHS over a year ago and I got everything covered/offered by AHS. It was like multi-combination. Since the day I signed up I never used or required their service since I usually maintain everything in good condition and I also hire people on regular basis for maintenance services.
Recently I started having issues with my pool filtration & I was informed by leslie's & other local companies which I use for maintenance that I have a filtration issue which needs to be fixed.
So I called up AHS on 08-17-14. After checking & confirming the issue is covered under warranty under my contract, they created a work order and hooked me up with some company called Aqua tech & was told would get a call from them and a visit. I never got a call from them nor a visit even after me calling and leaving messages. So I called AHS again on 08-25-14. So this time they created a new work order and assigned me a company called Alison pools. The technician came on 08-26-14 & diagnosed and informed me there was that the cap/manifold & air stem of the filter is cracked which is due to normal wear & tear and my pool is very well maintained.
He also informed me that these parts are covered under warranty and he will submit a quote to AHS for approval and I should get an answer in couple of days. Today 09-02-14 I got a call from AHS saying that my parts are not covered since the tech has informed AHS that parts are not covered under warranty and that my pool is not maintained properly.
I CAN GUARANTEE AND PROVE TO AHS THAT MY POOL IS VERY WELL MAINTAINED through local leslie's pool stores where I always purchase my chemicals and which has my test reports. Also can prove that my pool filter was cleaned regularly and cleaned twice in last 3 months because of this issue. With two different companies.
I feel that AHS is trying to rip off consumers by denying genuine claims with the help of hand in glove contractors. Any viewer please stay away from AHS, so will I from today. I will be trying to reach as many homeowners through online and other mediums to warn them of AHS and their practices and will try to explore other legal avenues to take on AHS since I feel so cheated for being good customer and paying bills on time thru auto-pay.

We bought our condo and there was an AHS 'guarantee' attached that was supposed to cover any deficiencies after the closing. I realize that some items are not covered. But we had a problem with the sink disposal. I called, described the problem and a service person came out. He looked under the sink and said that the work wouldn't be covered because of a "non-compliant plumbing situation". The drainpipe from the disposal to the wall was too long according to the 'current building code'. The condo was built in 1978, and had no upgrades, nor did it need to. AHS didn't stand by its contract. Thankfully, we didn't have to pay for the 'AHS protection', as the seller did. I would NEVER buy an AHS contract nor would I allow any of their service people on my property. This is a BS scam situation and the Feds should be alerted as they do business across State lines. AVOID this bunch of rip-offs.

I was called from one of my tenants that the shower(s) were leaking at the shower head. Called AHS to send someone out to check the leak. The plumber called me and explained that the house was receiving over code pressure of 90 lbs and the cost of repair (since over code pressure won't be covered by AHS) was going to be $800. I had the City come out because they were concerned of the pressure and they found it to be 77 at the street and master bath, and back yard registered at 64/66. 80 is code, after having my back up plumber went out and found the same pressure. I called AHS and they said that I could have one of their other plumbers come out. See after the first visit I did a background check on the first company, been in business only months. So I asked my back up plumber what would be the cost for him to do the work - $300. You do the math.
I called AHS and explained I didn't trust them for a second opinion after how the first one tried to rip me off. So I'm out the $300 but I got work done right without worrying about being TAKEN. Now after reading some of these reviews. I'm really nervous to use what is suppose to be a support system. And when it does come to fine print, I could have the second opinion done by another AHS referred person, but if he also tried to rip me off I would have to pay two $75 service fees and still be placed with paying $800 by them. So I just paid my backup, that cost me basically $150 more but I trust him and the work was done next day. PS. Oh the $150 was more like $250, I had to give $100 off my tenant's rent for the inconvenience of having 4 people come thru the house.

The last time I used a contractor from American Home Shield, I was very disappointed. The contractor did show up on time and was very courteous. I told him the problems I was having with some electrical issues. I had a wall socket that was making a lot of noise and I kept throwing a breaker in my breaker box. The contractor fixed the wall outlet issue and when he looked at the breaker, he said that the air conditioning unit I had plugged into it was too big. I told him that I had used an extension cord and had plugged it in to another outlet with the same size breaker, plus other things plugged into it and had no problems and he still wouldn't change the breaker. Once he left I contacted AHS and told them of my complaint and still nothing was ever done about it. I was very disappointed with both the contractor and AHS on the whole matter.

It was easy to submit a claim to AHS. I had a problem one time and my air conditioning man did not want to do it. They didn't have him in the system when he had done work around here for AHS before and I couldn't understand that, but we finally got that straightened out. Everything worked out real good. The repair was good. And I think it's a good thing that they are calling to check up on the clients. Because if the person that's going to work know they are going to call about their attitude and the way they did the work, and your experience with them, the company is going to get a whole lot better service since they know they're going to be checked up on. I hope everybody that's under AHS knows that. If they don't know that, AHS should let them know.

I recently purchased a home at the end of April, and by the end of June the AC unit line froze up and wouldn't cool down the house. I contacted AHS and they told me that techs did not come out on the weekends (because apparently no one needs AC then). When we finally did get the appointment set up, the time was supposed to be between 5-7, but the guy didn't actually come until 8:45, when the inside temp was already 88 degrees. He only refilled the unit with freon, never checking for a leak, although my husband told him he thought air was coming out of the air handler. Well, here it is barely a month later, and the unit is frozen up again. I refuse to pay another $xx for them to charge the unit when I just paid for the service mid July. Absolutely ridiculous!

Turned in claim on 8-14-14 turned in claim of leaking Hot water tank. Did not hear from assigned vendor, Carter Plumbing, within 24 hrs. Called Customer support to speak to a representative. 40 min. on hold. Frustrated, called Sales, answered after 2nd ring. Found out I had a complaint, without comment, transferred me back to Customer service hold line. Waited another 15 min. and gave up.
Next morning (8-15-14) called customer service again. After a short wait a representative picked up. I asked to speak to a Supervisor. After 4-5 min. bantering back and forth, the representative told me I couldn't speak to a supervisor as the supervisor was gone and wouldn't be back until Mon. He said he would send an Email msg. to a Sales Supervisor. 8-18-14 Called Sales Dept. to speak to Supervisor, representative said all supervisors in a meeting, she would send an email to have supervisor call me back within 24 hours.
Called Carter Plumbing. They said I never answered my voice mail and they took me off their dispatch list. (Never received a call) Carter sent someone out on 8-19-14. Plumber said tank leaking, cautioned when learned Amer. Home Shield was the Warranty program. Said be prepared to pay $350-$450 in items not covered in my plan.
8-20-14 Called customer service again. Waited 10 min. no answer. Called Sales back second msg. to Supervisor. Supervisor called back 2 hrs later. Very helpful and checked files and never found the email from the Customer service rep. back on 8-15. She was to make it all right by me. She waived service fee of $75 and assured me that a Customer Service Supervisor would contact me.
Finally spoke to customer service supervisor. She was not happy with the way I was treated and said someone from Claims would contact me shortly. 8-20-14 Claims called said $420 not covered. They did not cover mandated code updates nor other parts outside of the hot water tank itself. 8-29-14 - After 15 days with a leaking Hot water tank, Carter replaced it after marking up parts 100 to 300% in price. $50 pressure tank turned out to be $195. Etc. I paid the $420 to the installer and he left. Plumber was nice and professional. I would suggest you inquire as to the "not covered" details in your contract, better yet choose another company.

I'm satisfied with the service provided by AHS. This previous claim was for our dryer and for my pool pump. It was very simple and easy submitting a claim. A man took care of it and everything was fine. With regards to the contractors, the performance was good. They had to order a part for the dryer. They came back two days later and repaired it. With the first pool service company, I had problems with the one that they had recommended to come out and I told them, "no, I don't want that guy on my property because I had a bad experience with him last time when my pool filter blew up and he took a bunch of stuff out of my pool." And I thought, this guy doesn't know what he's doing.
And I found out later from my neighbor across the street that he used to work with this pool company and this guy was not very experienced at what he was doing. At first he said, "well, your filter is not going to be under warranty because of this or this". And I said, "well, I don't agree with that, your company - American Home Shield. He said, "well, if you want a second opinion, that's fine but you'll have to pay for it if they find out that its the same thing." I said, "No, I understand that." So they sent another person different from the first guy and he did a good job and took care of everything. As a matter of fact, I took some coverage off because I didn't need it and they were very helpful and therefore, it reduced my monthly price. I absolutely recommend them.

I have had an account in good standing with American Home Shield for 5 years now. Every time I have a claim, there seems to be some issue preventing them from covering a repair. I paid for two years without a claim. My central air unit computer board failed, AHS refused to cover it till I threatened to cancel. They agreed to cover it, but I had it fixed without them.
I went another two years without a significant claim. I had a faulty tub faucet that I wanted repaired, but they said they don't cover tub faucets. I have been paying my bill, without a claim for two years, and they don't cover tub faucets? I had a discussion about that with them, so they talked me into another plan, which was cheaper and included faucets. It seemed great.
Then I have a major appliance fail and they neglected to inform me is all my appliances are not covered under the new plan. Granted it IS in the paperwork about the uncovered appliances, I just verified. So, I am stuck with another costly repair. Yet again, I have to debate the fact that they mislead me. I will be cancelling my policy with them. If it is for minor repairs, AHS great, but if you have a semi-involved claim, there is always a catch or they refuse to pay for a part. I am very unsatisfied with the culture of this company and I wanted to warn other potential customers. Thank you.
Hi Chris, I apologize for any confusion or inconvenience the coverage has caused. If you're still in need of assistance, I would like to have a case manager contact you.

I had good hot water heater. Never had any problems, and then all of a sudden the water was cool. I went down there and it was leaking. I made the service call to American Home Shield. Long story short, the guy they sent was very nice and cleaned up nice. He told me what’s happening. I helped him out. All is well. He’s excellent, efficient and very, very good. If I had another problem, I’d request him specifically. I was very impressed. It was super especially compared to normal service calls that I’ve had with phone companies and cable, even the utility company.
AHS people are thoroughly professional. No problems. Not only did they come in and know what they’re doing they also explained what they’re doing and fixed it all up. Plus I don’t have to worry about anything. Typically with insurance in my experience, some people get less than they should and some people get more. So it’s hard to do what AHS did - they put it in, they got a pro out here, and stand behind the papers that we sign, so that’s perfect. I’m 100% satisfied.
I would recommend AHS especially to older people that don’t have tools, time or shouldn't be up on two-story ladders like myself. They have been around a long time and as far as I could see, they're fair. Sign up with them.

The representative told me that she put a rush on my request, and I called back after 45 minutes of not hearing from the company that they were sending out just to find out that the representative had not put a rush on my ticket. I asked the representative to get a supervisor on the telephone and she informed me that there was no supervisor available; however, she took the time to call around and locate another plumber. That plumber, too, was unable to come within 24hrs. That is just ridiculous. One cannot wait 48hrs for a plumber if you have a water leak. I ended up calling a company that I have dealt with before, and they sent someone out immediately. Shame on AHS. Now, they won't cover my air conditioner unit that has been working since 2003, even though a branch fell on the top and damaged it. When the condenser fan motor froze up on my AC unit I called AHS to have it repaired. They sent out a very rude unprofessional technician to repair the unit. The technician squirted oil on the motor and broke it free. He told me it should work long enough to get a new motor ordered (probably about 2 days). When I called back to AHS to check the status I was told the unit was already fixed. I explained that this was just a band-aid fix to get by and it would not last. Agent told me that is all AHS would cover, is to repair not replace. Guess what! Less than 3 weeks later on Sunday afternoon it froze up again. Called back and set up another service call. Same tech walks over to the unit and says "yep it's stuck again. I will get with AHS and have them order you a new motor. Sorry about your luck".
The technician states that it will take a few days to get an AC motor because AHS won't put a universal motor on. He will have to get an exact replacement. Great I can wait to get it done right, even though it will be in the 90s this week. The technician shows up at my house without an appointment and fixes the unit while nobody is home and the unit is off so there is no way to check the repair. He installed a universal motor and hacked together the wiring. He also removed the motor cover and conduit which the wiring ran thru. Yes the fan runs but it looks like something Fred Sanford put together (for those of you that remember Sanford and Son).
After I called AHS and Air Plus Services I got the technician to return the missing parts so that I could fix it correctly myself. There were a total of 8 phone calls to AHS and 4 calls to Air Plus Services to get a simple 30 minute repair done. These are just the highlights, it would take much too long to tell you the whole story. Long story short, AHS in no way cares about how the repair is done as long as it is as cheap as possible. They hire the cheapest companies who are willing to hack things together as cheap as they can. You are much better off just banking your premiums and hiring your own technician. I will attach photos of their repair and what it looked like after I spent 20 minutes repairing what they hacked together.

Between the collusion of the technician and AHS, they refused to honor their agreement with us to replace the equipment with one of similar capabilities. If they will do this over a $50 to $75 thermostat, I can just imagine what they'll do in order to deny the bigger stuff. Contract cancelled!!!!
Also, from the beginning they lied to me. When I first signed up with them, they told me that I and a friend who had referred me would receive a $25 gift card in the mail and they asked me the name of who had referred me. When I didn't receive it, I called and asked about it and was told they had never had a program that offers this incentive. I posted this in my complaint to the BBB and was responded that I didn't "enter the necessary information online at a special website for this offer." According to Section A.2.d things that are "undetectable pre-existing conditions..." are not covered. All units worked great at the time the contract was paid. Why it lost freon, I do not know. My hunch was they would deny it, and they did. What good is a policy to cover repairs if they deny claims? Horrible company-- stay far, far away. The lines were dirty and clogged and we could not figure out where the lines emptied to. AHS would not pay to have the lines re-routed which was a major disappointment but like all insurance companies, not one actually pays to have problems solved correctly? The problem has not been solved permanently but hopefully something will be worked out soon without the help of AHS.

Long story short, my home has been covered with AHS for 13 years. It was a brand new home purchase and they were the only ones to ever service anything in my home. They have been ok with everything until the big one... My central A/C. I have two units in the home and they both failed. AHS was called and a service ticket opened. They sent a company out to service the A/C and my first clue should have been the fact that the service person had a ticket for only one of the units. He did look at the second one and claimed that it was not working due to some "wildlife" chewing the wires. The other unit he claimed was the compressor. He determined this all in a matter of 15 minutes. No in depth diagnosis was performed and he left.
I was given an estimate to repair of nearly $1,500 and this was under AHS warranty? I did not have a very good feeling about using this company so decided to call another A/C company, a highly reputable company with an A+ BBB rating, for a second opinion. The second company came out and spent nearly three hours doing a full diagnosis and I was told that not only the compressor had failed but the evaporator coils were rusted and needed to be replaced as well. I was given an estimate to replace both units and they were able to perform the work the next day. I agreed to have them replace and photographed the rusty components before they disposed of them.
AHS offered around $600 to compensate me for my repair, and I did not agree. I requested that they pay the maximum for replacement of both units and they quickly declined. Their reason? They did not authorize the second opinion. Really? Why would they authorize the second opinion? Is it in their best interest to do so? A second opinion from a contractor that does not do their warranty work? I tell you what though, it was in my best interest to do so. The original company sent a tech to my home, this tech had a tattoo of a swastika on his forearm. Who would do business with a company like that??
Hi Pat, I can have a case manager contact you to discuss the experience. We would like to take a closer look at this service request. Would you mind if I have them give you a call?

Having never had a home warranty I was not sure what to expect when my realtor insisted that we include a home warranty in the contract for the home I was purchasing. The owners were to purchase a warranty as part of the conditions of sale. I assumed I would keep the warranty one year and then drop it. Within the first year I discovered that the use of the home warranty made a huge difference in the repairs required for my older home. There is no way I would do without my warranty and have highly recommended the warranty to others I know who have purchased homes. I have been more than satisfied with the contractors, customer service and pricing of AHS.

I changed to AHS about 18 months ago from another company thinking I would get better coverage. It has been a huge disappointment. AHS has incredibly long wait times for service and reps that are experts at giving pathetic excuses and empty promises. I have requested repeatedly in the past to speak with a supervisor or management; they are incredibly insulated and never available. You are promised that your call will be returned, but it never is.
Another huge issue in my opinion are the vendors. I have used my AHS 4 times, and only once was the vendor knowledgeable, prompt and courteous. Earlier this year, a vendor was sent to work on my ice maker. The repair took 3 months to complete. When I checked the guy out, he was not even licensed to work in my city, which violates state law. Presently, I've been without A/C for a week. Their vendor has been out twice, taken my money (of course) and the air is still out. I live in the Deep South with temps soaring in the high 90's and incredible humidity. AHS just keeps making excuses for their pathetic, second rate vendor as usual. I will not renew with AHS next time and will go back to my prior company, Old Republic, who always allowed me the option to use a vendor of my choosing. In talking with various community resources, including the Attorney General's office, there are literally piles of complaints on AHS.

For starters, let me say this warranty came with the house we are buying. It is the worst experience we have ever had. My air went out on Saturday. I called and told them to schedule service. I explained to them that my infirmed mother-in-law stayed with us and needed to have it fixed. They said it would be Monday before anyone came. They said the temps in Tennessee was only in the 90s and did not constitute an emergency visit. When the "technician" arrived on Tuesday, he replaced the blower motor on my air conditioner. This "technician" said he had 7 years experience in his field. After replacing the motor, he rearranged some of the wiring. After he tried the motor after replacing it, it blew the fuse. The 'technician" then said the circuit board was bad and he needed to order the part for it. Probably taking another 3 to 5 business days to get it. After this "technician" left, I called a well known company here in Knoxville, Tennessee and they sent someone out that had me up and running in less than an hour. The new technician said that the first guy had it wired up all wrong. All he had to do was rewire the motor that was replaced by the first guy and we were back in.
I think this company needs to check their "technicians" before they send them out. It was a horrible experience all around and I will not be continuing this service. So, I say again, SAVE YOUR MONEY and go elsewhere.

The last claim I filed was just a minor leak. I always deal with Superior Plumbing and I'm always happy with them. The only thing I'm not happy about is that American Home Shield owed me $75 credit because I had overpaid, and I never received that. The thing is it's so hard fighting with American Home Shield, and so I just let it go. But I have the girl's number that I was talking to and she said anytime I have problems to call her. For the most part, I would say that American Home Shield is pretty good. There's a little problem sometimes here and there, but I've been with them many years and I have 13 properties with them.
The only thing is that their prices are getting crazy, their premiums are getting out of control (they're getting where they're $400-500) and that's just ridiculous especially when you got as many properties as I have. I realize everything goes up but their premiums have really jumped up in the last two years, just crazy high. After buying two years of that, I could've bought a water heater or an air conditioner. They are pretty good about working with me, but I have to cut down the amount of service that I get. I've thought about changing several times just because of it, but then they'll work with me a little better or they'll give me a little bit of a discount.

On August 21st of 2014, I put in a "RECURRING" request to have my Central A/C repaired. This is the third time that I needed a technician for my A/C. The first time there was a problem with my filter. The next time the technician put in a "Capacitor" and told me the he believe that my motor was bad. Since he did not have a motor that day, he advised me to cut off my A/C unit and turn it back on several hours later to see if it would work. I did what he advised me to do and later the motor did work. It worked for several days but when I returned from a trip, the system had stopped working all together.
On 21 August I called in a request for this system. I was told by the technician on Friday the 22nd of August that he needed to order a motor for my unit. The heating and air company called me and advised me that the part had come in on Monday 25th of August but they could not get a technician out to replace the motor until that Saturday, 30th of August. With the brutal heat here in Georgia this month, that is unacceptable. We have been without air since the 21st of August. It seems like AHS would at least look at these companies and make sure that they have adequate personnel staffed in case they have emergencies or someone is out for any number of reasons.
I have had some other complaints but this is by far the one that gives me great concern, especially, how hot it has been lately in Georgia. Thanks to Ms **, from AHS, for all of the help that she gave me with this matter. Her hands were tied. She could not reschedule another company to get this job done any sooner. Do not use this company if you have the option. Since July 1 we have been struggling with our two central air conditioning units. We have had AHS for almost seven years, at the first home we purchased in Maryland and then, when we moved, at our new home. To date we have been generally satisfied but the service on this has been absolutely abysmal and we are seriously considering not renewing our contract when this is over. They sent out one company multiple times and when the contractor suggested that the entire system needed replaced, AHS insisted on simply replacing a part.
Not one of the fixes has lasted for more than 1 week. My 7 year old, who has asthma, ended up in the emergency room because the heat and humidity triggered an attack. So, when it broke again after the most recent fix, I requested that a different company be sent. That was on Sunday, August 17. The service operator told me that first they needed to contact the original company and that the head of the company would call the next day. I specifically asked that I be called, since my husband was in England. So, they called England and never called me. Then I called on Tuesday, August 19. I was told I could not speak with a supervisor but that they would talk with the supervisor while I held on the line to get another company out in an expedited fashion. I was also told that a complaint would be sent to customer research for resolution and I would be contacted within 48 hours.
On Wednesday the service company came out, looked at the unit and said it was irreparable and said they submitted a report. My husband and I called AHS to make sure it went through and to ask that we not be charged for new refrigerant since we had already paid for it when AHS ruled that we could on only have a repair. This new person didn't see a request for research in the system (i.e. the call I made on Tuesday) and said she would put in a new research request and that we would hear within 48 hours. Again, we stressed the issue with our daughter.
On Friday morning we called to let them know that they needed to call my husband's cell, as he would not be at the home number. Beverly from Research finally called, called the home number, and called us by the wrong last name. My husband got to the house, found the call before closing hours, called back three times and never heard back from her. It is now Tuesday afternoon and still have not heard back from her. We called again on Saturday night, trying to get more information. We spoke with Hope, who promised to get back to us and when somehow the call got dropped, never did. But when we spoke, she again promised a call back within 24 hours or Monday morning at the latest. Monday comes and goes without a call from anyone.
Today I called and could not speak to anyone who could actually authorize the new unit. Every request to speak with someone higher up the supervisory chain was met with statements that they could not get anyone on the phone, they could only email people, and it would take 24 to 28 hours for someone to get back to us. If it was 48 hours we wouldn't mind so much, but given that I first made a request on Sunday August 17th, it is now Tuesday, August 26th, and no one has actually called us back properly on the correct phone line, that is an empty claim. It seems the the primary aim of AHS is to keep a wall between the customer and the decision makers regarding all claims, no matter what family health issues they impact. Do not use this company.

I've been with AHS for years and have never had a complaint. They always responded promptly and jobs were completed swiftly. That all changed this week. I took off work that morning to be there and they never showed. A tech never called to say they were on the way, so Sears finally called at 12:30 to say they had overbooked jobs that day and they would be there two days later between 1:00 and 6:00 PM. AHS needs to replace Sears with a more reliable company and stop damaging their reputation. Sears didn't even apologize for making me wait there a half day for no reason. With 1 year of paying the monthly fees under my belt, I have made 2 service requests. The first request, the contractor never contacted me. I tried to call their number only to be routed straight to a voicemail box that was full and would not accept any new messages. AHS followed up with only a survey request. Only after I checked the box saying the contractor never called me did I receive a call from said contractor who claimed to be on vacation during the time the ticket came in. Thankfully it was just a dishwasher issue and not something serious like our AC unit or hot water heater, etc. I had to pay out of pocket for a local contractor to fix the issue. Just wrote it off since it wasn't very much money.
The 2nd request for service just recently placed has set me off. During the hottest part of the year, our AC is failing. It's barely putting out any cold air. I placed a request with AHS and waited for 2 days before I finally called them. They claimed they couldn't find a 'vendor' to handle the request and said I could contact a local vendor if I wanted to. So I called the company I've used for years before AHS and asked them if they would work with AHS to get our AC repaired. They agreed. The local vendor sent someone out that day to look at the AC unit that was installed 9/23/1986 (according to the inside cover). The technician said the AC unit is on its last leg and will fail. I told him to work up an estimate and send it back off to AHS. AHS agreed to replace the AC unit but insisted that they provide the condenser unit.
So I have concerns with this. I know and trust the local vendor to install a brand new unit. One that is sufficient to cool my home and is energy efficient. I have NO idea what AHS is shipping to the vendor. For all I know, it's a refurbished unit or it's going to be some cheap piece of crap that won't do the job it needs to do. On top of this, it's a FREIGHT item and can't just be shipped overnight. Thus I have to wait for a FREIGHT shipment which could take 10-14 days to get to the local vendor. The local vendor has units in stock and could have started the work as soon as YESTERDAY.
Meanwhile it's 100+ in the area, 87 in the house with the AC, ceiling fans and box fans running full blast. Nights are absolutely miserable. By the time AHS gets our AC fixed, the weather is going to calm down. Forecast says we're going to drop back down to the 80s in a few days. VERY displeased with the level of service received with AHS. Not sure I will be maintaining the contract after this fiasco is behind me. I don't see how they have an BBB A+ rating with how disconnected they are from the customer. Funny thing, I placed a complaint with the BBB about AHS and now I can't access my account online anymore.

I decided I really got tired of going and taking out the tray and going back and turning it off manually so it wouldn't keep making ice. So I called and a guy named David came and put in a new icemaker.
Now with the new icemaker, the dispenser that you put in the door didn't work for maybe half the time, but it did make ice. So we waited about two weeks this time and then we called again. So this last time, the guy that came was wonderful. He put in another icemaker, which came in the mail. It was reconditioned but that's okay. He said it wouldn't hurt. So he put that in, and then ordered a part to put in. It came in the mail and was put in two days ago, and everything's working beautifully. Submitting a claim with them was easy and the icemaker works great.

Asked how to prove it was a power surge and the engineer became rude, offensive and aggressive. I'd had a quote the year before for a 100% new system for less than $3k (he said they must be cowboys!). Spoke to on-site maintenance, fixed for $150 for a new part (and it took 3 minutes). He said the part lasts usually about 2-3 years and naturally "blows" from the amount of power it uses, esp in v high temperatures - not because of a power surge.

I have had AHS out several times to repair a fridge, which continued to break after they fixed it. $100 service call each time, in addition to the cost for the service plan, and wasted groceries. Ended up spending over $600 on a fridge that still is not repaired. Additionally, they refused to come out and repair a sink leak due to the leak's "location". Basically, you are paying for a service that does not "service" and/or meet its obligations. Waste of money. We will be cancelling our service contract.

Submitting the internet service request was easy, with necessary choices clearly displayed; the contractor response was fast - less than 24 hours; the problem was corrected immediately - during the initial visit, by a very courteous technician, who installed a brand new garbage disposal that he BROUGHT WITH HIM!! The total effort greatly exceeded my expectations! I continue to be impressed with AHS and have recommended them to by friends...

I signed up with American Home Shield because some friends had recommended them on Facebook. This was the end of June, so my plan went into effect the middle of July. When I signed up, I told the woman on the phone that my AC unit was 15 years old but still working fine. I asked her if this was a problem and she said no. We just bought 2 new vehicles and staying on a budget is very important. This was a big selling point for AHS. On Monday of this past week, my AC stopped working. My husband took a look at it to see if it was something simple. After he looked at it and saw that we needed a repairman, I put the request into AHS Tuesday. I never got a call on Wednesday.
So, on Thursday morning I called the company from the AHS email. They made an appointment for Friday. The guy came Friday morning and before he even diagnosed what the issue was, he was trying to sell my husband a new unit from his company. He asked me if I was a new customer or if I had been with them for a while. I didn't understand why that made a difference. After he looked over our unit, he found a leak in my evaporator coil. He said that he was surprised it lasted this long but sometimes they just all of a sudden break one day. After he relayed to my husband about the leaking coil, he said he'd let AHS know.
We got a call about 20 minutes later from AHS that they were denying the claim. When asked why, the technician told AHS it was a pre-existing condition and the unit hasn't worked in a while because he didn't notice any moisture in my evaporator pan. What?? He never explained any of this to me before he left my house. I asked if I could speak with a supervisor or customer service department to discuss this. The man told me that the only option I had was to request a 2nd opinion. They based this decision solely on the conclusion that this technician provided to them. Apparently their contractors are more important than their customers.
Since Monday, I selected a fan only on my thermostat and had the fan running to circulate air in my house. It's been very hot. I'm not a scientist but I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be any moisture left in the pan with the fan running after 5 days but apparently there is some unknown scientific pan /moisture formula that I'm just now being made aware of! The man was not willing to discuss this at all. He was simply letting us know we were being denied and he was completely impersonal. So he said we could get a 2nd opinion but we'd have to pay a service fee again. This is absolutely ridiculous. I signed on with AHS so that we could stay on a budget and not have to deal with large repair/replacement costs. My next step is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and my husband and I will both let all our friends know on Facebook what a very unsatisfactory experience we've had.
Hi Jennifer, I can have a case manager contact your regarding the issue with your air conditioner. We can take a closer look at this request to see if there are other options available. Would you mind if I have a case manager reach out to you?

I have had a American Home Shield Account for more than nine years for my home. I also have one for a condo I own in WV. I pay extra money each month to protect my HVAC system. I have had nothing but trouble getting them to do the right thing to replace the system as has been recommended by expert repair technicians but contracted by them and by me. Every season the unit breaks down and the technicians are only allowed to fix it when it is not working and only the primary part that malfunctions. Even though the technicians clearly indicate that system needs to should be replaced. AHS will never replace a system or appliance!
As as result of their terrible customer approach, I came home to a 2.5 foot hole in my upstairs ceiling and water all over my floor! Because they only allowed the tech to replace a fan on the system instead checking to make sure the entire system was working efficiently before turning it back on. Once I heard AHS person tell the tech to move away from me so I couldn't hear what was being said. That tech was told to leave regardless of what he knew needed to be corrected before we had a major problem. They all knew it was inevitable that something would happen but AHS refused to fix it the correct way to prevent that - they use a "bandaid" approach to service. We are in a terrible mess now and they insist it's not their problem. Then whose is it? I did everything right. If it isn't their problem then why do I pay $500 a year for a warranty? And $75 each time a tech comes? Do not believe their advertising - it is false.
I had to call my homeowner's insurance company to mitigate the damage quickly before mold or other damage accorded but I am filing a formal complaint with the Maryland Attorney General's office of Consumer Protection. Look carefully before you give your money away to them. Nine years at $500 annually I could have saved enough to buy my own new system. I have pictures I will try to upload.

AHS is ok if you can deal with some of the unscrupulous service guys. Some of them will make you wait all day to arrive, if they arrive. When they arrive, they will come up with an excuse not to do the work. If they think they can make money off you, they will do the work. However, some of these service guys will try to screw you. If you can deal with trying to get a reputable service guy, then AHS is ok. You will lose a lot of hours trying to get someone honorable. AHS can save you a lot of money, but it is a coin toss if the guys will do the work. You best be smarter than them if you do not want to waste your time. Also, AHS does not have any meaningful way to report an unscrupulous service technician.

They had fast service, really considering our new unit had to be altered and they had to pick it up and come back and install it. Since the repair, everything seems to be doing good. It's keeping my house cool and that's in 105 weather. In my opinion, they invented a real good maintenance plan or service policy for people that need it. Horrible, horrible experience with AHS!!! I feel lied to and taken advantage of!!! Before we decided to sign up with AHS, I asked lots and lots of very specific questions about my air conditioner because it's 12 years old and we started having problems with it last year. I was told numerous times that it would be covered and not to worry! Every year since we have owned the house we have had our units serviced and maintained! Well the a/c stopped working and I put in a service request, the technician came out yesterday and looked at the unit. He said he was in a hurry and couldn't stay, he asked for the $75 service fee, and said he had to talk to AHS before he could make any repairs, and that he would call us in a few hours to let us know what is wrong with the A/C.
Guess what, no phone call, but I did get a phone call from AHS telling me they were denying the repairs based on the technician. He told them there was abuse and pet urine on the unit that should have been seen and fixed a year ago?! What abuse?!! I asked the customer service rep what exactly she meant by abuse to the unit, and how I was supposed to know there was pet urine? She told me that it would be noticed on visual inspection??
I am not an A/C repairman, how am I supposed to know this and I've had the unit serviced EVERY year with no mention of this alleged "abuse and pet urine"!!! When I asked her about the contract stating repairs would be covered regardless of age of the unit or pre-existing conditions, she told me they wouldn't be covered because they should have been fixed a year ago! Again, WHAT?? So even though my contract states repairs will be made even if there is corrosion, rust, pre-existing damage, etc. MY unit will not be covered because why exactly? The only reason she kept giving me was because it should have been fixed a year ago. I didn't have a contract with AHS a year ago, and the company I had service my unit did not tell me there was a problem, so how could it have been fixed a year ago!!! I feel like AHS is just wants to take your money and not fix items that need repaired!! Even though the contract specifically states they cover the problems!!! Beware, this company is just out to take your money!!! I am going to contact my attorney!!

And every time they send the same Greenway company and charging me $75.00 every visit and not repairing nor fixing the problem, what they are doing is bandaging the problem. At this point, I call the company on 8/21/2014 to speak to a supervisor. The rep tells me that a supervisor is unable to talk to me. They're unwilling to replace my unit, stating that if it is manageable to be repaired, they will do so, but before they replace the unit, they would have to have tried everything. OKAY, it's been over 10 years. What more do you have to try before I am able to have this unit replaced? This business does not have a problem deducting their payment out of my checking account every month. They set up an appt then. When they got here today, they said it was a compressor and they didn't work on compressors and another company would be called. Within ½ hour my husband got a call. "You’re not covered. Your refrigerator is in the garage. Only if they are in the kitchen are they covered."
We explained we moved it because we needed something working in the house. I called Am. Home Shield back. Spoke with David and he transferred me to Leroy. The only issue that I had with the contractor is that they called, again, the next morning, which is no problem at all; however; they said, "Well, we can't get to you for the next 24 hours." That day happened to be a 114 so they need to have more than one contractor on calls, because that can be an emergency out here in Arizona. AHS, of course, wanted to repair the problem and it took 6-8 weeks to determine that repair wasn't possible. Once that was decided though, replacement was done quickly. I will try to be brief, but at this point AHS appears to be a shame with automatic denials. 8-15-2014 put in a call for septic injection pump not working. First Plumbing Company showed up 8-18-2014. Plumber didn't know what he was looking at and was "not qualified to work on hardwired pumps". AHS called to tell me it wasn't covered when I had specific coverage for the septic injection pump. Escalated and to someone that appeared to understand and they spoke with their supervisor whom both agreed it was covered.
Plumber number 2 showed up today (8-20-2014) and replaced the injection pump. At that point he discovered that there was "something wrong" with the discharge line to the lateral lines. He would need to either dig it all up or put a camera in to see the blockage.
The plumber notified AHS and after he told them it would be up to $2,300 to replace the line (although he doesn't know what's blocking it at this point) they decided it wasn't covered. I spoke with the AHS gentleman and we went around in circles so I asked to speak with another supervisor. I called the number and received "Valerie". I explained the situation and Valerie immediately said the same thing. I explained to Valerie that it is covered and read the information directly out of the contract "Clearing of lateral drain line stoppages up to 100 feet from access point including accessible clean out, p-trap, drain or overflow access points". At this point she stopped me and told me that Lateral Drain Lines are under the house and since mine are septic drain lines they are not covered. I asked her to please google a septic system and she would see clearly that Lateral Drain Lines are always outdoors, by definition.
She scolded me and told me that I was wrong and Lateral Drain Lines are always under the house. I gave up and asked to speak with her supervisor and she then told me that she was the supervisor (seems like everyone is a supervisor at AHS) so I asked to speak with her boss. She reluctantly told me she would have one call me in 48 hours (making a week without septic/plumbing)!
I will update here after I speak with their "supervisor". Otherwise I will get this fixed and let my attorney speak with the supervisor to reimburse me for a covered item and refund the balance of my contract (10 months).

The last claim that I had was for a leaky faucet in a guest bathroom tub, which is also connected to the shower. In April, I had a plumber here who did various work on replacing some washers, etc. and that was one of the things that he supposedly fixed. What is really convenient is when the air conditioner started failing it was during the night, and we detected that during the night. The fact that American Home had the webpage and you can log in the stuff is awesome. We don't need to wait for somebody to pick up the phone. Even if they worked 24 hours, I don't need to pick up the phone, I can do it by webpage. So now our AC is working fine and there's no issues whatsoever.

Although it took them some time to resolve there was a person (Lenice?) who called and worked between myself and contractor. Due to the lack of progress thus far i actually was prepared to cancel the warranty and considered that i will be on the hook for the payment to the technician.
However in the end the contractor agreed to AHS that it was their mistake for not calling out this as a uncovered item and agreed to not pursue the payment for the service anymore. I am hence upgrading my rating to 3 star. i am deducting 2 stars for the occurrence of the issue and the time and explaining it took on my part to convince AHS that this was a miss on their/ technicians part.
Original Review: Aug. 20, 2014
I had a pretty bad experience with AHS this summer. I became a customer in June. Here is my story. I submitted a ticket on Sunday for AC service. I called them on Monday to add furnace service to my existing ticket about AC. The AHS agent took the information down. The technician came on Tuesday to fix the AC and furnace. He performed service on AC and furnace without informing me whether it was covered or not covered. He just took the service fee + Freon costs and left. The next day someone from AHS calls and informs me that the furnace service was not covered because it was pre-existing issue. I called again to discuss and argue but the person on the phone was saying that according to section so and so, it is considered a condition that preceded the contract. When I explained it didn't as I just found out about it, the agent didn't believe me. So basically I am being called a liar. Now they want to continue to say it's not covered when they never said anything when I scheduled the service or when the service was performed. I didn't authorize the amount that the contractor spent doing the work. Very disappointed. Worse than my previous warranty company that I thought little of. I can't believe a company with such policies even exists.

My experience with American Home Shield was good. However, whatever it was that we needed on our washer, American Home Shield opted not to pay for it. It was a new drawer that carried the detergent and the softener, and they did not fix that. We had to pay for it ourselves. That was our learning experience. But while the service man was there, he was really busy selling his own home warranty.

For the most part I am happy with the service I have gotten. I have only had one time when an electrician could or would not replace the ballast in my florescent lights, as a result they still don't work. Discovers his error and wants to charge $800 for non-covered repair work that is not required for the repair. I've been in construction all my life... I know a few things your average homeowner does not. AHS refuses to send an alternate qualified contractor after I tell the first one not to come back. Despite not being able to tell me section and paragraph of the contract that prevents another contractor AHS tells me I only have two options. Take the first contractor and pay the $800 or take $505.00 and hire my own company. This of course AFTER I have already paid the first company's service charge. AHS is the worst. AVOID.

We had just closed on the home the Friday before this incident. Apparently we had an electrical storm that caused some issues. And the fan started running on the air conditioner which caused it to burn out. It was operating fine when we moved in, but a few days later it was having challenges. I telephoned American Home Shield and they took down the information. I did not have the policy in hand - I just had the information from the closing escrow documents - and there was no delay in them bringing up the policy and getting everything taken care of. They told me that someone would be getting back to me within 24 to 48 hours. Later that evening, someone gave me a call, that person that they chose, and made an appointment for the next day and came out. He knew exactly what was wrong with it by my description of what happened. He came prepared to fix it, and had it fixed in less than 40 minutes. It worked fine and we've had no incidents. We just had a couple of different thunderstorms and no issues whatsoever.
American Home Shield did an excellent on-time performance. It has made life pretty easy after that. We had to sleep under the fan in the living room that first night. It was 97 outside and 87 in the house, so it's pretty warm.
I've used AHS in the past. They've always been very, very professional. I feel that your plumbing contractor, Draingo Memphis, inadequately completed work for me on June the 27, 2014. The plumber checked 3 outside faucets and fixed two. I asked which ones he fixed and he told me the one on the front and the one on the side of the house. He said one didn't need work. However, all three were leaking when I placed the service request. I noticed the leaking faucet and my water bill was high for the month of July. When I checked the 3 faucets, one was leaking. When I called in the request I reported the same information.
When the plumber arrived I said, "You fixed this one and it's still leaking." That would have been the time for him to say, I didn't fix this one and I'll have to submit a new request. But that wasn't his response. I was totally surprised to receive a bill and learn he turned it in as a new request. I'm not sure if he is dishonest or didn't do an efficient job of checking and fixing the faucets or if he would be penalized for having a redo. I assume you have to decide which of us is telling the truth. Either way, I am requesting that I not be billed for this service and that Draingo is not called to complete work on my home on future.

Last summer, AHS sent someone out 6x for AC repair. This June, I requested AC repair and paid $420.00 for Freon, plus a $75.00 fee. Last June, I paid for Freon. Therefore, I asked the technician to test for a leak. The tech claimed to have tested for leaks and reported none. However, 8 days pass the 60 day warranty period, I called AHS with the same AC complaint. Due to an 8 hour open window for service, I requested a different vendor. Since I had an 8 hour window in June, required I take a day off work. The new technician advised the unit had several leaks. Also, he commented that since the unit was serviced in June, the latter technician should have detected the leaks. Also, 2 months was just enough time for the Freon to leak out. In fact, he advise this would be included in his notes for AHS, and I should receive a call the following day for a resolution. Four days passed and no call from AHS.
Therefore, after I followed up the vendor hadn't submitted the report. Finally, after 3 phone complaints the contractor/owner called, not AHS. He advised the cost of the repair would include $420.00 for Freon and $75.00 service fee. He denied his technician made any such comments and advised if so, they were not included in his report. When asked if he would speak to the technician, he advised no. But stated, if I wanted the service let him know. AHS, has offered to absorb the cost of the service fee only, citing since they use contractors, their office has no way to dispute with any contractors, since they are not contractors, but only hire outside contractors. Besides, I was outside the 60 warranty window.
Thus far, in a 3 month period, I would have paid $990 for AC service. Apparently, the unit needs to be replaced. It's been in the home since 1989. However, AHS refuses to replace it or absorb the expensive Freon cost! The cost for AC repair has most certainly exceeded the yearly contract cost. FYI, 2 other local companies not with AHS, replaces Freon for $40.00 per pound, not $70.00 like AHS 2 contractors. I'm disappointed AHS, don't seek out at least with AC repair, companies with more affordable rates. Particularly since you expect the customer to pay for Freon!

The thermostat starting showing inside temperatures of 78-82 degrees despite settings as programmed for two-plus years where A/C is set to go from 72-76 degrees. We called AHS right away. Three days later, on August 4, 2014 (Monday) the Vendor, Automatic Control Corp. (Vendor) came to the house to investigate the issue. Vendor determined that the capacitor was broken and replaced same. We paid $100.00 check, issued to Vendor’s principal name, not entity, and obtained a receipt. Vendor mentioned that while capacitor was broken, there is a slight possibility that it could have been broken due to a surge from lightning. I explained to Vendor on the phone that home has full surge protection by the electronic company and that no other appliances shut off, including major and minor appliances. Vendor left and A/C began cooling again.
On August 8, 2014 (Friday), I again noticed home was hot when we returned home at 5:30 p.m. and immediately notified AHS. We explained that this was an emergency because we have a 23-month only toddler and the house was steaming. AHS had I were on phone for two hours, and nothing was resolved other than an offer to have the Vendor return next week. Ultimately, AHS ordered to have Vendor to return to see the problem. On Saturday, August 9, 2014, A/C still did not work. On Sunday, August 10, 2014, A/C still did not work. On the morning of Monday, August 11, 2014, the bedroom was cool and the thermostat showed a reading of 74 degrees with a request for 74 degrees.
Vendor came to home on August 11, 2014 and went to compressor. Vendor noticed that compressor fan was blowing hot air and pipe to house was cold and sweating. Vendor checked Air Handler and there was no leak. Vendor also verified whole house surge protection. Vendor said nothing was wrong and therefore there was nothing to fix. Vendor then said that the A/C units are only meant to run at 78 degrees, and no cooler. On August 11, 2014 and August 12, 2014, house slowly cooled, but not to full temperature. DCB texted Vendor but received no response. Then A/C started working again.
On early morning (4 am) of Friday, August 15, 2014, home was 78 degrees but thermostat was set for 74. At 7:30 a.m., I again contacted Vendor and then spoke on the phone. Vendor even said the unit may be dying, but there was nothing he could do until it fails. Vendor also said that DCB was unreasonable to want the home cooler than 78 degrees. DCB explained that for over two years, there were no issues and that system is 6 years old. I wait to see if AHS can figure this out as now yet another weekend will pass without A/C. I hope they do the right thing ASAP and get a vendor out even during off hours to fix the problems.
Hi Dustin, I would like to have a case manager contact you to assist with your a/c service work order.

American Home shield dispatched a vendor to repair my clothes dryer which had begun making a terrible racket. The repairman was very knowledgeable and completed all of the necessary repairs even though it took several trips due to delays in receiving the necessary parts. The repairman was professional, prompt and courteous.

I recently called for service on my Air Conditioner. I had actually place the order using the internet and then decided to call. I was told since I had service performed for the same problem in less than 60 days the service would be no charge. The company came out that very afternoon and my air conditioner was back on line the same day, I have recommend American Home Shield to many of my friends because of the quick service they provide. It is a great feeling when you can call someone and know that the service will be top notch and the price is unbeatable.

I've always received a courteous and rapid response to any requests for service. I prefer making requests by phone instead of using the online request form. The customer service people are always prepared and knowledgeable.

I have had AHS for 3 years. I initially obtained their services when my home was 15 years old, knowing that things were going to start needing repair. In this time, they have made approximately 8 service calls, repaired my air conditioner and my hot water heater and replaced my washing machine and my refrigerator. They have always been prompt on sending service agents and I have no complaints. My son also has AHS on his 60-year-old home and has been pleased with their service.
Thank you Frank for the positive feedback!
