Repaired garage door opener.

I had to have an electrician come and fix my ceiling fan and light. The guy AHS sent out was right on time, answered all my questions and showed me what was wrong and fixed it. He was very professional and nice. The performance has been perfect since the repair. I always have a positive experience with American Home Shield when I call and ask for a service person. They’re very quick to respond and schedule. I have recommended them to somebody very recently.

The contractor came out and replaced our water heater because it was leaking and breaking. Submitting the claim was perfect. We call and the contractor came a day or two later, and then made an appointment, and he came right when he was supposed to. He's very nice and he did a really good job. The performance since the repair is fine. He set it at a good temperature and we're just thrilled to death because we had to pay the 75 plus a couple of another hundred dollars or so, but that's still cheap. We are very happy with this insurance. I'd recommend American Home Shield to anybody.

The contractor was very timely and diagnosed the problem quickly. Ordering the service on-line was extremely easy.

My most recent claim is for the hot water tank and submitting the claim was very easy. The American Home Shield representative was very nice, helpful and informative. The contractor that came to our home was the same and he's just very good to work with. It's been fantastic since the repair. I'd recommend American Home Shield.

We've definitely had only positive experiences with American Home Shield. I've been very impressed with how quickly we were able to schedule appointments when we needed repairs done. We have AHS for two of our properties and we've already filed three requests for completely different items and systems. All three were repaired very quickly and all the contractors that they used did a great job. So, we're very happy with them.

I didn't think much of the first plumber they sent out but then again the next time they sent one out it was okay. Overall, I had a good experience with AHS.

We called American Home Shield to fix the washing machine and their service was awesome, we're happy with it. My wife told me that everything ran smoothly when she called to submit the claim. They checked the person that Sears sent and they had all the machines replaced a part. They did it the first day and the person who fixed it was nice. Everything is fine and I'm pleased with the service.

I have a side-by-side freezer refrigerator. The ice maker was operating okay but the part on the door where the ice from the reservoir down to the dispenser had a quip in the flap. That allowed moisture to seep in and form thick frost. It clogged it up and I couldn't get any ice out. I contacted American Home Shield and in a short while, I got a call from the person that was assigned to repair it. He made an appointment and he was right on time.

So far, we're happy with American Home Shield. The most recent claim we filed was about a month ago on the air conditioner. We were very satisfied with the service that was sent to my home.

We had two claims with American Home Shield around the same time, and I've been talking to customer service by phone. We set up the plumber for the leaking master shower then I called back with the second claim because our kitchen sink fell in, and I was informed that the plumbing would be covered but not the sink. I ended up calling back a third time because when I was researching online trying to find someone to help with the kitchen sink, I found that the plumbing company that they had signed to come for the shower was badly rated. I called back to express my concern and they said, "It doesn't matter what other people say. These people are contracted with them and that's who you're going to get."

Always great customer service. Contractor showed up when scheduled. Issues were corrected immediately. Best home warranty in the business!!

I was pleased with American Home Shield. It all went very smoothly and timely. They did recently our swimming pool equipment – the pump went out. Submitting the claim was easy. Sometimes it takes a few days to hear from the contractor through AHS but on this instance, I got contacted the next day. Then they took care of it and it has been good so far. The contractor was great and would probably hire them if we needed some other work done. It was a good experience.

The first time that we used American Home Shield was wonderful. They sent an air conditioning company and the guy who came was outstanding. The service was very professional. It was on time, if not even earlier. He resolved the problem very quickly and it was a pleasure dealing with him. For the second one however, we cancelled it because we resolved the problem ourselves. I recommended them to friends.

The toilet was stuck up so I submitted a claim with American Home Shield. I called and told them what the problem was, they put me on hold for just a couple of minutes to get someone to come out here, and they came back in the line with the phone number of the service representative. They told me that the service representative would call me within 24 hours to make an appointment, which they did. The contractors did a great job, and the performance of the toilet has been good since the repair. I have had several claims with AHS and all of them had been remedied. I'm very satisfied with the phone and service representatives - they did a good job.

I recently submitted a claim with AHS for a swimming pool and it is the first time that I've ever had a problem. The company that they sent out was horrible. Their office and customer service was awful. Something else happened to the pool and I had to get another company. American Home Shield and I didn't get along on this one because I requested a particular company that I knew was a service provider. Long story short, they sent JT Ultimate Pools, the company I originally wanted, and the pool was fixed with one visit. They were awesome. The guy explained so much to us and even told us how to take care of the pool better. He was wonderful, so I had no complaints with that company. Everything else has been good. Now, the pool is great! I love American Home Shield.

Overall experience with American Home Shield is very good. The first group that came weren't too informative. They just took the stuff and didn't let me know that they were sending an order in. But the last one was very informative and very helpful. He came out and did all the work.

We love American Home Shield. My husband submitted a claim online and it was very easy. We've never had issues or bad experiences with any of the contractors. We got our money's worth big time for the first year when we bought our home 2 years ago because it was really old and it had a lot of issues.

We have a good record with American Home Shield. They always do well. My most recent claim with them was for the air conditioner. When submitting the claim, their staff was very cordial. They got a hold of someone that would be in touch with us by the next day. The company called us, let us know what time and when they'd be able to come out, and got here on time. The contractor that was sent was very professional and got the job done right.

Everything has been terrific. They have responded to every service request I had made with competent people. They did have to come back on my stove, but that was because they had to order a part. The technicians they've sent out have all been very nice, friendly and competent. I have had a very good experience with American Home Shield, and I would recommend them.

I had a claim with American Home Shield for plumbing and it's been a very easy process. I did it all online and got a call from the contractor right away. They scheduled my appointment which was within a couple of days. The two gentlemen who came were very professional and courteous. They answered my questions and they were in and out of there within an hour. Everything went perfect, so it was a great experience with them.

Our most recent claim with AHS with our plumbing was fine. The only problem was that the person that took the order didn't write down what I said the problem was correctly but when the service technician came out to resolve it, that was very satisfactory.

The most recent claim I had with American Home Shield was for a hot water heater that continues to go south. Submitting the claim is easy. Everybody's been nothing but nice, professional, responsive and listen to me complain for a little bit and then get on to fix the problem. So I got no issues with anybody that I've spoken with. I've had the same gentleman out twice and it'll probably be the same guy that comes out here tomorrow. He's thorough, he leaves no stone unturned. He's done everything possible to bring the hot water heater situation to resolution. Unfortunately, it's still not working correctly but no fault of his own. He's done everything he can. But the guy is always really respectful of our house, professional, nice, conversational and cracks a joke once in a bit. We like seeing him although we'd rather not but if we do, better it be somebody like him.

My disposal stopped working. I had gone to American Home Shield and they brought out a plumber. The plumber came and said, "It's not a plumbing problem. It's an electrical problem." He never opened it up and did anything. The electrician then was called through the company. The electrician came out and said, "Well, it was the vibration. It was at the bottom of the disposal, the wires had just come loose from vibration." He rewired it and it worked. The reason that I called in the first place was because there was liquid on the floor in the cabinet under the disposal, a considerable amount at the time. That's what caused the original call to the plumber. After the electrician left, I couldn't get it to drip anymore, so I called anyway. The plumbing company said, "Just watch it for a little bit."

My wife called American Home Shield to submit claims for a washing machine, a dishwasher, a stove, and a microwave. The guy from the appliance repair was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was very friendly and easy to get along with. He did what he said he was going to do. He was very professional, I'd get him again if I had to.

There was a water leak in the bathroom so I submitted a claim to AHS. That was easy. As for the contractor they sent, the interaction I had with them was was fine but I didn't like the resolution too much. Unfortunately, the situation has not been fixed and I still have a leak. Despite that, I'm still fine with American Home Shield and I'd recommend them to a lot of friends.

It was regarding one of my toilets and my sink that I submitted claims to American Hoem Shield, and that was an easy process. The toilet sounded like it was flushing every 15 minutes. The handle or something must have broke that I couldn't flush it at all. As for the sink, it was clogged, I saw a soap went down. The man who came did a great job. Everything went well and I have no complaints. He was also informative and polite. In total, everything was great with AHS. I'm satisfied with the work they did.

The most recent claim I had with American Home Shield was regarding my kitchen sink that was stopped up. I did it over the computer. They have choices and none of them really said exactly what was wrong. I didn't know if it was my dishwasher or if the sink was clogged or both. I couldn't put in both claims because it wouldn't let me do that. So I just went with the plumber and got the sink unplugged and that was better. The contractor they sent was really nice, really good. He was very thorough and fixed things. Since the repair, I think I may have to have somebody come out in another month if my sink doesn't start acting better. I don't know if it's something I'm doing or the garbage disposal is not working right or what, but it's still draining now. We tested it when he was here but something else must be going on. I haven't been here long enough to have somebody come out and do it again. Nevertheless, I've recommended them.

Our experience with American Home Shield is usually very good. They've been terrific and everybody's been great. Recently, the tenants at my house thought there was a leak in the ceiling of the bathroom. It turned out that the shower head sprang into the ceiling. The contractor called and said, "Well, I got good news and bad news. Bad news is you still have the service charge and the good news is there is no leak coming through the ceiling." That's what we got for $75. I made the repair instead. I bought a new shower head on because I'm going to complain if the shower heads are replaced by the company. I've had that happen before and I replaced them. The shower heads that are allowed are pieces of junk so they should be upgraded.

There was a hose in our furnace that was going bad so I submitted a claim to American Home Shield in their website. That was easy. They were able to fix the problem so that was great. It was quick too. On top of that, the contractors were courteous and did a nice clean work.

After the repair of our garage door opener was done by the contractor sent by AHS, it been very good. It was very easy submitting the claim and the contractor was out the next day. He was very friendly, explained to me exactly what the problem was and what he was going to do to fix it. So basically, AHS has always been very good at getting what I needed to be done accomplished.

I love American Home Shield! I called them before because I had a broken pipe out on my water heater. Their representative was excellent. She set up the appointment, told me that she had somebody contact me and the next day she called to find out if they had called me and I said, "Oh yeah.They set up an appointment." So she did her follow through. The plumber came out, fixed it and was gone in 15 minutes. I was happy as can be. I never had any problem since then. When I called for service, American Home Shield usually send me a good contractor and the job gets done. My overall experience with them is very good.

When I submitted the claim for the garbage disposal, the representatives at American Home Shield were very receptive. The process was very efficient. They told me exactly what needed to be done and they did it. Jacob's Plumbing came to the house and replaced the garbage disposal. The technician knew his stuff and did an excellent job. I was very pleased.

I had a garage door repaired that wasn't working correctly. I submitted a claim with AHS easily. The contractor that was sent to our home was great and fixed it right up. He knew what it was, and a few minutes he was done and gone.

The most recent time we used American Home Shield was for our garbage disposal and everything went very well. It was very easy submitting the claim online. It was an item that was covered so it was on the list. I just had to click the list and hit submit. It wasn't a problem at all. AHS sent people from Clearflow who came early. They told me they'd come between 12 noon and 5 pm, but they told me around 11 o'clock that they were on their way. I wasn't at home that time and I had to stop what I was doing and get home. I was a little inconvenienced, but that wasn't much of a problem. They were prompt, courteous and they got straight to the business. They knew what they were doing and had the garbage disposal replaced in half an hour. They were in and out very quickly, which was good.

We had an air condition issue. We went online and got the number. I called that night, and everything through the automated system was really efficient. I've used it twice and within five minutes, the company called me right back and they were actually willing to come out at 9:30 in the evening, so I was very pleased with the company as well. As far as with their customer service rep, I haven't had any contact with them short of renewing it this past year. He was most helpful, gave me exactly what I needed and took off what I did not need and the price became much more affordable because I was actually considering canceling it. We got to where I needed to be and I was very happy about that. Everything was taken care of. There was no problem and no hassle.

The Freon leaked out in my air conditioner so I filed a claim online to American Home Shield. They sent a contractor who we already had before. He's good, prompt, fast and has always done a good job every time he's been out. Since his repair, the AC's been working and everything's fine.

About 2 years ago I had AHS come out for my pool heater not working. The control board had shorted out and the serviceman replaced it. I was happy. Fast forward to today--pool heater not working. Service man came out and said control board was shorted out. AHS refused to repair it this time blaming insects for the failure. They said they do not cover damage caused by insects. Have had a plumbing problem with a toilet that needed a new flange on it and they would not cover that because it rusted. They just try everything they can to not give you proper service. I have cancelled my contract with them. You are better off saving the money you would spend on the contract and apply to needed repairs. You will definitely come out ahead. Clark Howard who has a consumer radio and internet program says that home warranty products are not good. Wish I had listened to him.

Submitting the claim for my garage door with American Home Shield went smoothly. Calling and speaking with their representatives was good. The contractor's service was also good except that he couldn't come out right away. Everything has been working fine since the repair.

My heat pump problem was resolved in a timely fashion after the problem was correctly diagnosed.

It was not a problem when I submitted a claim to American Home Shield for the hot water tank. The man who came was excellent. He explained what he was doing and pointed out what the problem was. After the repair, the tank's been working normally. On the whole, I've had no problems with AHS. When I call them to respond to a claim, it's been fine.

We didn't have any problems with the claim we submitted to AHS regarding our air conditioning system. We called the office in Little Rock and it was fine. It went through fast. One time we caught a representative, and on another instance it was an automated one. I'm not sure why but it was nonetheless easier than I thought to put the claim and information in. On the two occasions that AHS had to send technicians out, same guys have come. They're knowledgeable and professional. It didn't take long for them to get a system fixed. It was cool that they had parts on hand too. Since their repairs, it's been fine.

I submitted my recent claim for my oven and range hood with American Home Shield, and the experience is always easy especially when doing the claim online since it takes two seconds. Also, when I have to call them, it only takes a couple of minutes. The contractor they sent was very nice and professional. He hasn’t been my favorite of all of them since I have a couple of contractors that I’ve gotten very fond of, but he was wonderful for what he did.

I've liked American Home Shield through the years. My most recent claim was for a leaky pipe. They fixed the pipe almost immediately and I was satisfied. Except when we came back from a vacation, there was water in the floor again. I thought it was the same thing so I called them back. They said, "No. It's not the same thing. It's something else." And the "something else" apparently wasn't covered by the contract. So far, it hasn't been fixed, because I said, "If I get it fixed with you, how much is it gonna cost?" They haven't given me the estimate yet and they had to check on the part. But other than that, the workmanship on my most recent repair was fine. Overall, I am satisfied with AHS that's why I keep giving them my money every year. I don’t think they’ve ever steered me wrong.

Submitting a claim for my plumbing issue that had to do with the garbage disposal was a great experience, and I’m very satisfied. I talked to the contractor and he came in. He looked at the problem, saw a way to solve it, and he did. I'd definitely recommend American Home Shield.

I made a request with American Home Shield to clear a clogged line from my heat pump, air-conditioner. But the process of submitting a claim has changed. Before, I could tell AHS more about the problem and the model of the unit that I have. That's not there anymore. When I tried to log in to report it, American Home Shield said I had to re-register my address and everything else because of their new website. They found my file but that was strange I had to go through all that. The contractor was excellent, very thorough, and explained everything that he did. They came at a very timely basis so it was a very positive experience.

Submitting my claim online with American Home Shield for our AC unit was an extremely easy process, however, the contractor they sent out was extremely poor, and I don’t like him one bit. He did what he was supposed to do, but he was very rude. He did apologize at the end, but he was a very difficult personality to work with, and I definitely don’t want to use him again.

We only had one claim with American Home Shield and it had to do with a problem with our garage door. We got same day service from the time we submitted the claim and got our problem solved. The contractor sent couldn’t be better. I'm satisfied with AHS service but I think it's overpriced.

My most recent claim with American Home Shield was with the ceiling fan and the smoke alarms. I had them both within two weeks. My husband submitted the claim and it was so easy. The contractor was very helpful, informative and explained what he was doing. If I ask questions, he was very patient with me because I tend to ask a lot of questions about things. He was really nice. Everything is working great since the repair. American Home Shield is very pleasant and easy, and I'm always very happy with their service.

We had three claims with American Home Shield at the same time. The submission process was very easy. Also the contractor and his helper were fabulous, very courteous. They took pictures because I was not going up into the attic, so they understood that. They showed me what needed to be attended to. They said that they would highly suggest using a switch because we almost had serious damage to the house. Overall, I'm a very satisfied customer with American Home Shield and with Airtronics.

My most recent claim with American Home Shield was for my air conditioner's central air. The submission process was the easiest thing. I just went online and submitted it. The next day a guy from American Home Shield called me, scheduled an appointment and the contractor came the next day. My airconditioner has been working perfectly since the repair. Totally satisfied with my experience.

We had a problem with our hot water, and American Home Shield came right over and fixed it. Submitting my claim was an easy process, and the contractor they sent out was a nice guy. He was very patient with my husband since he likes to chit-chat. He was also very helpful and explained to us what needs to be done other than what the main problem was.

The last claim that we had was for the water heater. The contractor, AM PM, called us and they came out, looked at it, and replaced the whole thing. They came the day after because my husband was going to the hospital the next day. They were wonderful. One week after the repair, we called AM PM. They sent one guy out and found that the problem didn't have anything to do with what they did. There was a spout which is connected to an ice maker somewhere in the house. Our ice maker on our refrigerator had been redone probably a year ago and so he thought that was an incidental one. That was the only ice maker we had hooked up, so he turned it off. A couple of days later, it's still leaking so Tom turned it off even more. It has been fine ever since.

We moved into our brand new home with some old appliances, and in the last three years that we’ve had American Home Shield, it has been cost-effective for us since we bought air conditioner, garbage disposal, and multiple things. My experience with AHS has been great, and I’ve been recommending it to other people.

I recently moved and American Home Shield was provided to me by the seller of the house. All of the appliances are very old and I've already had problems with the washer and the stove. Last week, a technician came to fix two of the burners that were not working on the left side of the stove. He had to order parts and returned today with the parts and installed them. When I submitted the claim, the representative I spoke with was wonderful and very polite. I had already spoken to him when I did the claim for the washer. He was also very nice.

Our hot water heater busted recently and I submitted the claim online to American Home Shield. Their service was great. Their guys came in, saw what the problem was and got it taken care of. They provide good service - that is all that’s required.

I had an issue with the icemaker on my refrigerator. Since I was with American Home Shield for 12 years, submitting a claim was seamless, going on the internet and requesting service. The contractor they sent was great. He came in and he knew what was wrong. He had to leave to order a part and then he came back exactly a week later and did the repair. What stands out for me about American Home Shield is the ease of being able to schedule service when I need it and they have really good contractors. When I bought my condo over a year ago I had another company that was given on a home warranty. Their contractors were terrible. I went through three contractors trying to diagnose a problem and all they want to do was to sell me new things. American Home Shield doesn't do that. They come in, they fix the problem and they're gone. They've always done well.

I’ve had a wonderful experience with AHS. The plumber came out and did a good job. That plumber had been here before. I like when they use the same people that have been here and kind of know us and the house.

I had problems with my air conditioner and asked American Home Shield to come look at it and service it. Submitting a claim to them is very easy and simple to do online. Within one day they were at my house and everything was taken care of. I was very impressed with that. My air conditioner has been working great since the repair. I was very pleased with their service. I'm glad I'm doing business with them because they are efficient.

I've submitted a claim for my pool and it was very good. I’ve also been pleased with all the performance of the contractors they sent. American Home Shield worked well for us. I've got six contracts and I renew them every year, so I'm pretty pleased with them.

We had our HVAC system replaced in our house in Florida and we are expecting to get a fair reimbursement from Home Shield towards the HVAC system that we received. Overall, our experience with AHS has been fine.

The most recent claim I had with American Home Shield was for my leaking kitchen sink. I used the automated system to submit the claim, and it was quick and easy. That same day, I had the plumber call me to set up an appointment. I asked them to come out in a couple of days because I had to work. They were on time and fixed it within minutes.

They have been good with another repair but covered plumbing is really not covered since they only have one plumber in my area near Boston and that plumber does not even return their call. I have called dozens of time, talked to nice AHS employees who are not empowered to help. They have to turn it over to another department that customers cannot talk directly to and that for weeks have not resolved the problem. I have been doing dishes in a bathroom sink and cannot get any resolution. They are either grossly understaffed or just do not have anyone capable of handling it when their contracted plumber fails to respond. AHS told me they would replace my covered faucet with the same model but later said they would only replace the same features with a faucet of their choice. They promised repeatedly to call me back and never do. Be wary!

I had a dishwasher that didn’t work so I submitted a claim online with AHS. The contractor that they sent was awesome. He did what I would expect. He fixed it quickly and correctly with minimal time and no disruption to me. They do what they advertise.

We had a situation with one of our central a/c units at our home in Arizona. I submitted the service request online and was almost immediately called back by the contractor assigned to us. They came out within a couple days as the unit was working, just had a small leak we noticed. The technician indicated he needed to get a part and to our surprise American Home Shield called us the next day saying they were going to replace the whole unit for us as the part was obsolete. A new unit would have cost us considerably more than just the service call we were responsible for. The contractor and customer service at AHS couldn't have been nicer!

I did an online claim for the plumbing, and it was super easy. I contacted the place as soon as they gave me the name because we needed to have it done immediately, and they were there the next morning at 8:00. The contractors were very thorough and did a great job. American Home Shield did a good job.

I've had so many claims with American Home Shield because I just moved in to my new place. My most recent claim was for the overflowing of the kitchen sink and the person that came knew exactly what the problem was. It had to do with the garage that had the garbage disposal. He did what he needed to do and also showed me how I could maintain the garbage disposal flowing at all times and it was done in about 45 minutes. I've used AHS for my garage, the extractor in the bathroom and for the kitchen. And I'm very pleased with the companies that they dispatched. The persons working for those companies had been very knowledgeable, accommodating, honest - very good rapport. I will continue to use them. American Home Shield is easy, efficient and quick.

The service from AHS has been outstanding. However, most recently we had our dryer repaired but not completely. The temperature control was off. The contractor was to get back to us, but we had to call on it 2 weeks later to find out nothing had been done. The same contractor came out to the house only to tell us he could not fix it. A month had gone by now. AHS told us they could replace it with what they calculated to be an equal or give us the money and we could go buy what we wanted. This part was handled very efficiently. After looking at our options we decided on a dryer that was not available from AHS and they gave us the allotted amount for us to purchase our own dryer.

I used American Home Shield for air conditioning service about a month ago. Their submission process is all automated and for the most part, I've never had a problem with it. From the service standpoint, I've liked every contractor that they sent and the services that I've gotten. But from amount of money for the product and what I get covered in the contract, I have a slightly different answer. Overall, I am satisfied, but I would only recommend it to friends in certain situations.

American Home Shield was great. I recently had a claim for plumbing. They replaced the outdoor spigot and one of the toilets of the house leaking. The contractor did it all quickly. I've had American Home Shield for a while so I just call up for claims and let them know. They usually call within the same day and we schedule it. Submitting claims is convenient and great.

I recently had some plumbing done through AHS. It was an excellent job and the good manners of the individuals who did the job stood out as they were very respectful.

I recently submitted a claim for a toilet that was leaking a bit. The service and my contractor were very good. He lives almost in the same neighborhood so it was very convenient. I am happy with American Home Shield.

American Home Shield did a good job on my recent claim for my air conditioner. I've been with them for a while and I'm satisfied. I have no problem when they come over to fix stuff.

I just moved into a new condo in April and there was a water damage that affected my furnace. The furnace went off completely. I was frantic when I heard about it, but my realtor reminded me that I had American Home Shield. Thank goodness. However, it did not go well with the first person I talked to. She made the process confusing, I couldn’t understand her. She kept asking me to repeat the same things over and over. I got upset and had to speak to someone else. Once I did, everything was fine. American Home Shield acted right away. They called the local heating service in Pittsburgh that they use and they were out the next morning.

My most recent claim with American Home Shield was when my dishwasher wasn't working. I scheduled the original one online. When they had to come back for the second time, I talked to someone and they were fine. And then the third time they haven't been back yet. They're gonna put me on a waiting list, so I will try to get them back out here sooner. I'm not happy with that because I wanted my dishwasher fixed.

I had a leaking water heater so I filed a claim online with AHS, made a follow-up call, and the next day somebody came out and replaced the water heater. The contractor came with the water heater when he said he would and got it done as quickly as I thought possible.

I had two claims with American Home Shield. One was for my kitchen sink. It seemed to be a problem with leaking under the sink. The contractor came on time, diagnosed the problem quickly and made repairs to the garbage disposal. It turned out that the garbage disposal was bad and he replaced it. I haven't had any more problems with leaking. AHS did a good job. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

My experience with American Home Shield has been very positive. The service technicians who have come have been fast, efficient and very courteous.

I had two appliances within my house that I needed servicing. One was my washer and the other was my microwave. I worked with American Home Shield and had Sears respond to take care of both of the items. I had two different people come because Sears is broken up differently. Somebody works on the washer and dryer and somebody else works on the other appliances. Both people that responded were very polite and helpful and listened to what the issues were and appropriately responded. Both of them took corrective action and both appliances have now been fixed.

American Home Shield is phenomenal. The contractors have all been great and what stands out the most to me is the quick service. We had a severe heater issue, American Home Shield took care of it. Then the last one, it was taken care of immediately, too. We had a toilet leak and it needed a new ring and a new flange. The plumber came out and he was great.

I had a leak under the kitchen sink. It was a minor thing and should have been fixed before I moved in. The owner of the house claimed it was fixed but after I lived here for about two months, it was leaking. I called American Home Shield and they were wonderful. I told the representative what it was, that it was dripping though it wasn’t going to flood. She said that she would contact somebody right away and see when they could get here. It was great because while I was still on the phone, she already had the plumber on the phone and they came early the next morning at about 9:00. They were informative, polite, and very nice.

The service call went well. The contractor AHS sent out was fine. I had no problems.

Trying to get a hold of American Home Shield takes forever. Other than that, once I get them, they come through great. I was really happy with the contractor that did the repair. The dishwasher was leaking water, the microwave was rattling and not turning, a part was loose on my dryer... he fixed all of them and did it fast. He also gave me tips on how to keep my appliances going good. I was in awe with him. He was young and he knew everything. If I ever have an appliance broken again, I hope he comes back.

I had a couple of repairs done. Dishwasher went out. I hadn’t had anything go out for ages and then the dishwasher goes out, and two weeks later the fridge goes out. But it was taken care of expeditiously and I’m quite pleased with it. For the dishwasher, the repairman had to order a part and so he came a couple days later and fixed it. Then the refrigerator, the controller for the defrost wasn't working and everything was freezing up. He was able to fix it immediately and left. Everything was hunky dory. Been working ever since.

My air conditioner was leaking so I called AHS. They had somebody come out that day and everything was fine. The contractor that came out and drained the pipe was very nice and helpful.

The process was easier than I thought it was. The contractors they sent were very good. He explained everything that needs to be done and he went and got the parts and took care of it. in addition, he was there when he said he was going to be.

I first submitted a claim for an issue with a leak under the sink and I ended up doing it online. Then I called AHS to update it to add the plumbing in the toilet. The lady rep whom I spoke to was courteous and fast. The service provided by the contractor was good. They came promptly, had the part on hand to do the repair, and were able to fix everything the same day.

My most recent claim was our freezer. It had a water leak in it and American Home Shield took care of it right away though they had to come back. Prior to that we called on the air conditioning unit because it wasn't working and the guy came out and replaced the capacitator and it started working, and then two weeks later which was just recent, it happened last week, it stopped working again. And they called the same guy out who fixed it a couple weeks ago and they said that I wouldn't have to pay an additional fee because it was within 60 days. So then he came out. He checked a couple of things. He said the air conditioning issue was an electrical issue and that he would contact American Home Shield to have an electrician come out because it wasn't getting power to the unit.

I’ve used American Home Shield once for an air conditioner problem, where the water line needed to be drained. Unfortunately, by the time I called on Friday I had to wait the whole weekend to get service the following Tuesday. I thought it was 24/7 but it wasn’t. It wasn’t a major problem though. It’s only the water that was building up in the water panning which we didn’t know why. Overall, it was an excellent experience. The contractor was a very professional and a nice gentleman. He took care of the problem, gave me some recommendations and it was great. I recommend American Home Shield to my daughter who is going with a contract for a new house here in Florida.

We've been with American Home Shield for over 20 years. Over a month ago we had our dishwasher go out. I went online and requested service and within 24 hours had a local appliance repair shop contact me. They came out, determined the pump motor was out and they told American Home Shield that. American Home Shield wanted to repair it and spent about three weeks looking for a pump. Today, four and a half weeks later, we still do not have the pump installed. This is the only time in 20 years that it hadn't gone well. Other than that, they've done excellent.

All in One came out yesterday and fixed the stove. The guy was extremely polite and explained everything that he was doing every step of the way. I have nothing but good things to say about it. We have recommended American Home Shield to family members who have subscribed and told them they shouldn’t own a home without having it.

I had a problem with my garbage disposal. It happened on a Sunday and it was by late Monday afternoon when I got a phone call. The contractor came on Tuesday and replaced it. They were here for about 20 minutes. They had the piece on their truck, they didn’t have to go get it somewhere. The gentleman that did it kept his workspace very clean, and was quick, so I was really happy with him. We had a situation a couple of years back, in which American Home Shield had trouble getting it taken care of, but I am happy with them nonetheless.

I put in a claim with American Home Shield for the refrigerator. It was easy submitting the claim. The only negative is that I called on Friday and Home Shield stated that because we had an emergency, they'd be here in 24 hours or sooner but they came Tuesday and had to order the parts. I had all my food in the refrigerator spoil. The contractor they sent was great and knew what he was doing. The service was good. I'm very satisfied.

Our AC went out and American Home Shield came out and replaced it. I was impressively shocked at how easy everything went. A year ago I had another home warranty, and had a similar issue on a different property, but everything with that company was a battle and months long ordeal. With American Home Shield, I just called and said I'm having an issue. They said "okay you'll get service" and then I got service. Then they came out and said "here's the problem, we've ordered a part, it'll be here this day." They then came and installed it early and said, "Okay you're up and running and good." Very quick, no hassle, no fuss. That was very awesome.

I submitted claims for my stove and for our refrigerator. The stove would not stay lit and the refrigerator was icing up inside the refrigerator compartment. The contractor fixed them both on the same day. He looked at my stove and it was because I had put a piece of foil in the bottom of the stove to keep drips from getting on the stove itself, and in the process I covered up a ventilation hole so the way he fixed it was he removed the foil. I got real bright on that one.

Our most recent claim with American Home Shield was for the air conditioning. Submitting the claim was easy.

So far, American Home Shield is the worst I've ever had. I had my appliance looked at to fix it. I've had to call three times to get somebody to respond. First, it took forever for the guy to come out here. But once he got here, it got taken care of. Then he submitted a report two and a half weeks ago and I've had to call American Home Shield. They said they would get back to me by yesterday with the model number that I'm going to get. I've not heard from anybody, so I'm a little upset. When the contractor came out, he said that it needed to be replaced. I called him back and asked him when he would send in his report. And he told me when so I called American Home Shield. They said they didn't have it so I called him back. He sent it in. I called them again and they said "Yeah we got it." The contractor is great. It's American Home Shield that's been the problem.

I had a good experience with AHS. My main concern was to find the issue and get it fixed, and we did. Everything was accurate.

The turntable in our microwave stopped running. It was kind of difficult to cook. The gentleman came out, repaired it and since then it's like a brand new one. American Home Shield is a great service to have. They have taken care of the needs that we had with prompt service. We’ve had nothing but good favorable things happening. We're very appreciative and pleased with their service every time.

My recent claim to AHS was very good. The oven quit working and it was easy when I called to submit a claim for it to American Home Shield. The rep was friendly and answered my questions. The people who came out to fix it were great. Marlow did a very good job. In fact, if I have another problem with appliances, I'd like to have them back. They were very professional. They did the job and didn't dally around afterward. I'm thankful to have AHS and would recommend them.

The guy who came in to switch stop my ceiling fan was nice and wonderful. He got it all done in a timely thing. They even upgraded it because my living room has very little light and he got me one with the light fixer in which I had to pay for but not too much. It is perfect and I'm thrilled with what they do for a service for me. I've had 4 of their people come to help me out and one of them was grumbling and not very nice, but the rest of them is very wonderful. I've used AHS one to two times a year as it works. My girlfriend got me hooked up with them. It's a heck of a deal. It would have cost me an arm and a leg to have this done without the insurance. I had a pleasing experience with American Home Shield and I'm very satisfied.

I've never had a bad experience with American Home Shield. The plumber they sent for a recently completed claim did a great job. He was very professional and took care of all my needs. What he came for was not an issue but I had added on some other thing and he took care of all those and that was worth the cost of them coming in the first place.

I submitted a claim to American Home Shield for my dryer, and the process was relatively easy. A contractor came out and gave me a couple of different days, but it didn't work out. On the other hand, the one contracted came through the day after I talked to them, and took care of business in about 30 minutes. It was a painless experience and there had been no problems since the repair.

I'm satisfied with American Home Shield. I just didn't like the guys who came to the house because they wouldn't take a credit card and they didn't tell us ahead of time. I'm still waiting to get a bill from the company. And although the process on submitting a claim is easy, it takes a year and a day to get through to someone. Those are the only two problems, but nothing serious. Other than that, everything else was good.

My overall experience with American Home Shield has been great. The contractors that they have sent out are always really courteous and I haven’t had to wait too long to get a service. I would recommend them.

The technician from the company that they sent over was wonderful, very friendly, pleasant and professional. if I was a woman I would not be threatened by him at all - he’s a very nice guy. We had to go out to get the part to change the countertops, but he said he has one, he put it in and it's been wonderful ever since. AHS is easy, affordable for me and professional. I tell everyone, "If you don’t have this kind of protection, you're nuts because you know what it's saved me." A lot of people will say, "Oh it's so much money a month and so much money for college", all you need is one major thing to go wrong. I think it's the greatest thing ever.

The fan motor of my air conditioning unit had frozen up recently. I submitted a claim to AHS and it was very easy and their contractor promptly came and fixed it. The overall experience with AHS was good.

The only problem I've ever had with American Home Shield is, when it's an emergency and you call on Friday, they tell you it'll be next Monday before they can get anybody out. That's not too good and sometimes, it's an issue. But overall, AHS is good.

American Home Shield has always been great and very prompt to contact somebody for me. I called and went through the automatic system to submit a claim for my pool pump. Expert Pools has been awesome. I've used them before and they're great. The performance of the pool pump has been very good since the repair. But I’m just wondering why my monthly rate went up.

American Home Shield came out and took care of our water heater. They did a good job for us. Submitting a claim was easy. We had a water heater that started leaking and we got a problem because we just had a wood flooring put down and we're about to have it warped. So we drained that water heater and started immediately mopping up the water, every hour, all night long. I didn't even go to sleep and I just went out there and kept mopping up the water that was sitting at the bottom of the water heater and we don't know where the holes were. It won't leak because it takes such a long time to leak through that sediment but you had to go out every hour and mop that up or it's going to damage the new floor.

They've been real attentive to our service calls. When the problem arises, they're quick on getting the service people out for whatever the problem is.

I submitted an online claim for a plumbing issue. The process was easy and very clearly outlined. The contractor called me to arrange a time and he came out within the timeframe. The work was done in an efficient, effective, and timely manner. I've been checking the plumbing and has been working great since the repair. I would definitely recommend American Home Shield and there's no doubt about that.

Our experience with AHS was exasperating. We're out in the desert and we are old people. We're at senior complex, huge, about 2,000 houses, so if your air goes down you're dead. And you have to go to a hotel or to somebody's house because it's so darn hot. It doesn't even cool down at night in that chair. So when our air conditioning went down six times this year, we had to make plans six times and it always happens on a Friday or a Saturday. We never even get to see anybody usually until on Monday then they have to get it approved and order the equipment so it's five or six days before anything happens and it's 109 outside. So that's the rub.

I am very grateful that I have them on two properties. It's a good investment and I appreciate that the contractors that they pick here in Colorado are professionals. I'm impressed with American Home Shield and that's why I have recommended them to my son and neighbors.

I had one glitch with American Home Shield in the beginning. I said I was going to sign up if they'd send me a packet which they claimed they did but I never got it. So, I called back and finally got it, but it was a long drawn out procedure, much longer than I thought was necessary. Also, my sister begged me not to go with Home Shield because she had had a terrible incident but I found out it was because the contractor in her town felt that since he was the only one there, he could do the customers any way that he wanted. He said he did not have the money to buy the parts to fix what needed to be fixed and that he had to wait for the money to come from Home Shield. On the contrary, when I called for my deal here the contractors were prompt, wonderful and personable. It's the greatest service. Overall, my experience was good, but my sister's wasn't.

I have American Home Shield on a few rental houses that I've got. We love them and they do a very good job. My last claim was for my dryer at the Arizona house. The technician tried to clean out the vent, but he found out that there was a clog up in the vent. We had to get somebody else because that wasn’t in his job description, which was fine since he still tried and gave us the diagnostics so that we knew what we had to do. Overall, they did a good job and everything has been working fine. We love American Home Shield and that's why I recommend them all the time.

I had electrical and plumbing done by American Home Shield. They were good and informative. I learned some things about my electrical stuff. However, my microwave is still doing the thing like it's going to blow up. Whatever they repair, it's still doing it.

Everything’s been fine with AHS. Usually, if we have an issue, I call American Home Shield and ask them, “Hey, I want to use this company. We’ve used them in the past and they’re with American Home Shield." Whoever I request, AHS sends them out or they call me or set up an appointment. So far, we’ve been dealing with one service guy because his company has all our serial and model numbers on all appliances. Everything’s been great with that company.

I had American Home Shield come out to get my heating unit ready for the winter. Upon inspection, the technician realized that the whole unit was shut. He took the panels off and showed me that the drain pan was not functioning correctly. It leaked water onto the elements and rusted out the whole inside of the heating unit. He did all the paperwork for me. I signed it and they sent it to American Home Shield. The very same day, I got a call from American Home Shield and they told me that the claim had been approved, let me know what my out-of-pocket expenses would be and have somebody out. It happened on a Tuesday and by the following Monday my new unit was installed.

I'm very satisfied with American Home Shield. There was not a problem submitting claim with them. Our pool pump died so I just called and told them what the problem was. The company that did the work called me back, made an appointment for the next day. Then they came out, replaced them pump, and it was all over. Everything is fine since the repair. I’ve had that particular person replace the pump before and he’s very good.

The claims process wasn't as easy as it should be not because of American Home Shield, but because I had some issues with the person who came out from the company. But he came back and it was cleared up. I had no problems with the other technicians who came. I already recommended AHS to friends.

I've had two claims with AHS and in both, they've been fine on the phone when I called in. They got people to get back to me in a couple of hours. My most recent claim was about my dryer not heating up and the contractor they sent to fix it was very good. He called me, told me what the problems were and to call him if I had any problems after. He also left his name and number. I'm very satisfied so far.

I've had two claims with American Home Shield for the refrigerator. One was on the ice maker. Sears couldn’t come out at that time so AHS had a local vendor from 15 miles outside Birmingham do it. I had a problem with some parts that were replaced and with air releasing around. I can blame myself for it though. I should have called American Home Shield, but I called the local vendor back. He said he'll order new parts and take care of it. This went on for three months, but he never came back to fix it. I called American Home Shield and Sears came out and fixed it. They were sharp and knew what they were doing. They always did the best job of anything they ever do.

The experience with AHS was wonderful except for one thing. The guy who came out said he couldn't find the part that he needed and he would have to go to the manufacturer. But he did something and the water is all hot. I don't have any cold water. But other than that, they respond when I call and they're very nice because the first time, one of the guys missed appointments but it was all taken care of. So far it's been very good.

We were very happy with American Home Shield's service and the technician's professionalism and technical experience. Submitting a claim was easy. We met the technician (he was on time) then he diagnosed the problem, remedied it and fixed it, then left. It was all within an hour. We're happy.

I've had wonderful experience with American Home Shield in the past. But at this point, my experience with them is not good and I'm very dissatisfied with the job and cleaning done on my heater recently. This is the second time I've had to wait, but never this long. My heater turned up cold so we definitely needed heat. When the contractor came here to fix it, they turned my gas off because they said I've got something cracked and they tried to order a part for that thing. Then they charged me $400 to clean the thing. This was on the 21st. American Home Shield said they didn't receive the ordered part until the 23rd.

My most recent claim with American Home Shield was for my disposal. The contractor who came was a nice person. He introduced himself, got to the point and did his job. Since the repair, my disposal has been working well. That's why I'm recommending people to them.

So far, we're happy with the service from American Home Shield. When we got our air conditioner repaired, everything went smoothly. The guy that came out has done all that their commercial said they would do. We saw them on TV and when they came, I signed up and so far they do not disappoint.

The toilet continued to run and the valves in the bottom didn't work so I submitted a claim to AHS. It was easy and AHS got back to me in about a day. Their contractor came out the next day and fixed it. He was quite upfront and he also brought another person with him and was teaching him the ropes. They were here for about an hour and it was done. The toilet's been excellent after the repair.

American Home Shield sent an electrician the next day I told them about my problem with my kitchen and it was taken care of. They came and fixed my kitchen drain pipe. They had to replace a section of it and I haven't had a problem since. It's a lot better than before. They are worth the money. In fact, I've recommended my friends to them and about three of them have already joined. American Home Shield is the best and I love them. It gives you a piece of mind that you don't realize is out there.

My only claim with American Home Shield was regarding our garbage disposal. It spun a hole and flooded our kitchen. But I put in a claim and that was easy. A contractor was sent two days later. He got here at 9:00 while I was still eating breakfast. He was really nice and was thorough. He put down another garbage disposal, cleaned his mess up, and that was it. It's been working good since then. He said he doesn't know what happened with the garbage disposal, but he said he sees this often. He told me that if I don't have anything to put on in it, I should put water down every day. Check. I'll do that. When I got through eating fish one day, I had some left and put it down there. I left the water running too. It was just perfect. It was excellent and my son even took it out. After that happened, my son said they're good. We both love them.

We had a tub that was stopped up so I submitted a claim to American Home Shield. It was simple. The contractor they sent were good, professional and on time. It's one of the better experiences I've had with them. In the past, we've had issues with people showing up and fixing the problem but this one was good. Since the repair, everything's been good. I have no issues.

We've recently started using AHS, as of August. They were recommended to us by a friend. So far, we haven't had a bad experience. Submitting a claim to them is much easier than the company we had before. The technicians they've sent out have been great too. Recently, my oven had gone out. The tech was out there within the day and ordered the part. We're waiting for it and it should be in by tomorrow. We had a plumbing issue before too and they sent somebody right out who resolved it. The thing that I'm most impressed about them, thus far, is they send people who speak English. With the company we had before, they've sent people out and we couldn't even communicate with them. With AHS, we'd definitely recommend them to friends.

I had a problem with my wiring in my house. I called American Home Shield to submit my claim and it was really easy. My interaction with the rep went well. They sent a contractor to my house and although I had little interaction with him, he did an awesome job. He went and got a piece for replacement, brought it back, and fixed the problem - the plug was replaced in the kitchen. It's been excellent since the repair.

AHS has sent Greenway to my home several times to fix my unit. I recently had to call the fire department due to a burning smell upstairs. AHS refused to accept responsibility and did not give me another company to fix the problem even after it was proven that Greenway has not serviced my unit correctly. I will not recommended or use AHS again. After being a loyal customer, who has paid on time for several years, this is the appreciation that I have been shown.

My experience has been wonderful. My refrigerator's thermostat was stuck and it was freezing everything so we called AHS to file a claim and told them what was going on and wait anytime until they called us to set up an appointment to come out and look at it. They make it very easy. They're so cooperative and knowledgeable. The people from Sears came out, figured out what was wrong, and ordered the part. The contractor was very knowledgeable of all of that he needed to do. The part was shipped to our house, they came back out and installed it, and we're good to go. I have recommended them to a friend.

I went online to submit a claim for an air conditioner repair. Within an hour, they sent a confirmation email stating that the claim was approved and they had us signed a repair company. The repair company wasn't able to get out until the following day, but since the repair, the performance of the air conditioner has been great.

Working with American Home Shield has been a very relaxing experience. Everything has worked out well and it does a great job with us. My wife recently submitted a claim for our refrigerator and everything went nice with their sales representative. The contractor that they sent out, I've actually had him before, and he's been great. He checked the refrigerator and found that it would cost as much to fix it as to buy a new one. In the end, everything has worked out well.

I submitted a claim for a refrigerator repair to American Home Shield online. The technicians came when I was in the office, but someone else was at home for me. They said everything was fine and was fixed it in a short time. The problem has been taken care of since.

I submitted a claim to American Home Shield because of the icemaker in our refrigerator, and it was fine. Unfortunately, it's been about two weeks since the time we called and nothing's going to happen for another week and a half. We're without ice for that time period. We also had another claim regarding our air conditioner. For that, they sent out a person who was very good. He did what he was supposed to do. I was a little surprised, though, that the policy would cover $5 per Freon. I was at $50 a pound. I was not happy with that, but I was stuck at that point and I had to pay it. AHS covered a lot of the service call, but not much of the Freon. After the repair, everything seems to be working fine. Other than that, it was an overall good experience.

We've had American Home Shield since 2001 and we renew with them every year. We have no qualms about them. They're a good company and their prices are reasonable. They usually do what they promise. I'm a real estate agent and I use them for my clients. I pay for the warranty for myself and for my clients. So if they are listing the home, they have coverage while the home is on the market. I love that feature that they offer to real estate agents. And if we've ever gotten offended or if they've ever sent out someone that we did not feel comfortable with, we let them know that we did not like the contractor's services and they would give us someone else. Recently we had a claim and they sent a contractor to come out and fix it, and we were satisfied with the service.

The air conditioner didn't work. I called after hours and got the computer-generated response. The local representative called me the next day and set up an appointment. An excellent technician was sent out. He diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly, so I was happy with the service. The only thing I dislike is the survey. I don’t enjoy this type of thing where I pay them for service and then they want me to spend my time giving feedback for free. If they start paying me for my time like I paid them for theirs, it might make it worthwhile.

We're in the middle of a work order with American Home Shield. We're deciding whether to replace an item or let their contractor repair. The control panel just short circuited. I always had good results from American Home Shield and they've always taken care of the problem satisfactorily. If the initial vendors couldn't respond in time, they always look for another one that could come quicker. For example, we had a plumbing problem and the initial vendor couldn't get out for several days. I called them back and they searched and found one that could come out that day. They've always been responsive and reliable. We have in fact recommended them with friends.

For our heating air conditioner (its ductwork had a hole in it), the first contractor called within hours to set up an appointment. They didn't have the exact piece that they needed. They patched it until they could go back to their shop and get the piece. They came back within a few days and got the AC repaired. On the other hand, everything with the plumbing job went well. The first plumber that they had on their list gave me the runaround for a few days so I called American Home Shield back. They set me up with a new plumber. I received the new e-mail confirmation with the contractor's name, then they called within 24 hours. They came and saw what the problem was and it all went well. We had to make access for him to get to the plumbing leak. We scheduled the time with them. They came out, fixed it and completed the work.

I called American Home Shield for a service provider so that if something was wrong with my furnace, I would not have to call yet another person out to fix it. And they did send someone out. It was very easy. I've not had any problem with any of their contractors and I've used them several times with different contractors. I've been very happy for the most part. My biggest issue with American Home Shield is sometimes they spend enough money on appointments and still refuse to replace an item when it's obviously costing them more money to pay for the repairs. They do everything possible to not replace anything. They bring it back to working condition so I can't say that's shady because it's not.

My experience with American Home Shield is reasonably positive. I'm a bit unhappy about the level of coverage. Some of the things are not covered completely, but I'm more happy than unhappy.

American Home Shield came and fixed the air conditioner. My friend did the claim on his phone and I just set it up. The contractor they sent was fantastic and great. He came in, told him what the problem was, he listened and he knew exactly what it was. He got up into the attic, fixed it, came down and was done. I'm very satisfied and happy. They were very efficient, very professional and very quick. My AC works perfectly since the repair. I'm happy with their low monthly price too. I have thanked my neighbor who talked me into getting it and he keeps reminding me that he's the one who suggested American Home Shield.

We contacted American Home Shield because of the thermostat of our AC. They always send someone from the same company and we've always been pleased. The gentleman who came recently was very professional, clean and friendly. He did his job and it was an overall nice and very good experience. Since he left, the AC's been great.

My water heater quit working so I filed a claim with American Home Shield and it was easy. I gave them a phone call and then they sent someone out. Everyone that I spoke to on the phone was very nice. The company and technicians that they sent out were great, very nice and professional. Since the repair, the performance of my water heater has been excellent. I would definitely recommend American Home Shield. My experience with them gave peace of mind.

I had air conditioning problems that turned out to be relatively simple. The condensation water was leaking through the ceiling. Nonetheless, I submitted two claims to AHS using the internet and that's worked very well. The technicians sent out did very good and knew what they were doing. They identified the problem right away and in both cases, they were able to fix them on the spot. Luckily, the first time, they had the part with them. They were also personable.

I'm having problems with my refrigerator and it's still going on. I've had no problems getting the claim submitted to American Home Shield or getting someone to come out. In fact they already did and the guy they sent is very knowledgeable. He explained everything that he was doing and what needs to be done. My refrigerator wasn’t working at all and he got it working however, there's a problem with the control board and it's one of the wires of the refrigerators where the control board is going to have to be sent off to be repaired and it's going to be another three more weeks. For that reason, I'll be without a refrigerator for the holidays. I've had American Home Shield for years and I've never had a problem with them. They're a well worthwhile company to have.

When I submitted a claim to AHS about my refrigerator that was not working, it was automatic. Then they sent one of the nicest contractors that I’ve encountered, and he was great. He took care of the problem, and I was happy with the service. My fridge has been working great since.

The service provide by AHS was timely even I called them during the weekend. Vendors called me next day and they finish the work in a day.

My experience with American Home Shield is easy. I put in my request on the computer and things get handled from there - no troubles. When we bought this house, there were things going wrong. I would like to give kudos to Cornerstone Plumbing. They're terrific. Everything's fine since their repair.

He seemed to do a good job. I told him that I would probably ask for him again if I had any future claims in plumbing. I was happy with him. However, the service took a little longer than I had expected because from when I called on Friday they couldn't get anybody out until Monday. In spite of that, I'm satisfied.

Submitting the claim was very easy. I called and they told me someone would be calling me within 24 hours, and they did. The contractor that came for the garbage disposal was very prompt. I had asked him a couple of questions concerning the garbage disposal because it was a new home that I moved in and I couldn't understand why after two years the garbage disposal went bad. He told me that the appliances that they put in the house were good but they didn't spend a lot of money on the appliances.

We like American Home Shield. Our latest claim was for the freezer. The ice maker in it was broken again. AHS sent out the contractor and the freezer wasn't fixed after their visit because our ice was melting and there were silver flakes in our ice. The contractor had to come in again, realigned the flap and corrected that. They said that should be better. My husband was there and said we had just had our water filter changed and they said, “Well, that’s probably what it is.” No, that’s not what it was because we had had our water filter changed plenty of times before that. Plus, I’ve never had flakes come when I’ve changed a water filter. It only happened after they were done. The contractors said if it continues to happen over the next week or two to give them a call. They may have to change the entire line.

We only had to contact American Home Shield once just recently. We were very satisfied with the result. They were quick to respond. It was because of a leak. There was a break in a water pipe and it needed to be repaired right away. Submitting the claim was easy. I put the request in and submitted it without any problem. I do quite a bit of putting the information online and it wasn't hard at all. I already did recommend them to a friend.

I contacted the American Home Shield concerning our garage door. I made a call and within four hours the garage door people contacted us and they were out the next day. The service by the contractor was absolutely wonderful. We thought we were going to have to replace the whole garage door because it had come off of the railing. He was done in probably a couple of hours, super nice to work with, very friendly. I would definitely use them again. The garage door was working back to normal. My experience with AHS was super easy.

My A/C went out in the middle of August. The fan in the condenser unit went haywire and completely shredded it. AHS replaced it with a NEW unit, and I ended up paying less than $200! I'm very happy that I have the warranty. It took the contractor almost a month to fix it though, but I've had difficulties with them in the past, so I wasn't surprised.

I've had two service requests and both of the technicians they sent to our home have been excellent to work with. I was satisfied with the experience and I think it's great for the first year of coverage. However, I don't plan on retaining my plan going into next year.

American Home Shield has a good, solid and quality customer service, and a good contractor base which makes them reliable. I recently submitted a claim online for the electrician to come, and it was easy. After I submitted my claim, somebody answered me back a little bit later that day and told me how soon they could come which ended up being in a day or two. The contractors were here at the time specified - they even got here a little bit earlier than their time which was fine. They fixed the problem quickly and they were very professional and friendly. It was a good experience.

I submitted a claim for my dishwasher and the experience was one big nightmare I wouldn't want to have to go through. Then after two weeks we submitted a claim for our swimming pool and my only big complaint is it takes forever to get a real person on the phone like sometimes I have to wait for 30 minutes. But the contractor for our swimming pool was great. Our pumps had gone out and I called in a Tuesday morning, and they called me back within two hours to schedule an appointment. They scheduled it for Thursday between 10 and noon, and said the guy would call before he came. Thursday came. I got a call about quarter after 9 from Mike, the service technician, and he said he was running early and he was wondering if it would be okay if he came over. I said sure. He arrived before 10, had a pump on his truck, and he wasn't here half an hour to have it all fixed and going.

It was a fine experience I had with American Home Shield and there were no problems. My most recent claim was in reference to some plumbing. They called me less than two hours after I put the request in online. Then the contractor came out and did the repairs the next day, so it couldn't be better. He was very good and knew what he was doing. It has been been perfect since the repair was made.

American Home Shield is very good. I'd highly recommend it. The guy that came out fixed the furnace did his job and was very nice. The only thing is that they said he would be here between 8 and 5, he didn't get here until 6:30 that night.

I had a leaky toilet and kitchen faucet so I claimed for them with American Home Shield. Submitting it used to be terrible, but now it was very easy and I like it so much more because they have it online now. The contractor they sent to fix them was very nice and thorough. He was very good at explaining to me what he needs to do, and he even found a problem with my toilet I didn't know I had. I thought it was just the valve part of it but the steel between the tank and the toilet itself had gone bad. I'd probably ask for him if I called again and that company was assigned.

My most recent claim with American Home Shield regarding the exhaust fan on my bath top went pretty good and they got it through quickly.The process for submitting my claim was pretty easy and I had no issue with the representative I spoke to because he was very professional.
