We've been with American Home Shield for almost eight years and we’re happy with the service. Their yearly fee is not bad either. We recommended some people to it and they’re happy too. The customer service agents are okay and so far, they’ve been cooperative. It takes a little time but they work with you. Sometimes American Home Shield sends some technicians that are not up to the task but we persist. Then we finally get the right technician and the job gets done. But that’s with every business. You can’t control the vendors you have.

We had one of those wall units that has an oven and microwave, and one of the critical components inside the microwave broke. We had several visits by several technicians until one finally determined what the matter was. It needed replacement but we couldn’t replace the original one because it was out of stock. So American Home Shield brought in a general electric type and installed it. Everything went well. Overall, American Home Shield is a good business from a home service perspective. You really can’t beat it if you put money into it and then you utilize it when some of your appliances go down. Long term, it saves money.

The A/C wasn’t turning on. I used to have to get up and go to the thermostat and put it on. I submitted the claim to AHS over the phone and I had a good experience with the representative. I had to have two different contractors come out. With Myers, they came out three times and still didn’t fix the problem. I kept on telling them what was going on and they put a new thermostat in. They came back out and they did it, the thermostat worked but that one was no good so, they put another one in. They still didn’t fix the problem. The third time, they still didn’t fix the problem so another company had to come out.

The tech from Myers got an attitude. He said that the unit was old at first and it wasn’t repairable. And I was like, "Okay, why didn’t you write it up?" He never wrote it up and he never signed in. I kept on calling back to American Home Shield so that they could let them know that it still wasn’t fixed but they were saying that he didn’t put what was the problem on there. The tech from the other contractor said that the outside was dirty and my son said he hosed it down. Now, I wake up at night and be hot and sweating, but the A/C is coming on and I don’t have to get up and go to the board and put it on.

The heater wasn’t working and I had done a consulting with what I knew the system to be. I had to go to American Home Shield when I couldn’t figure it out. I filed my claim online, and I received a message very quickly recognizing that I had filed a maintenance request. Then the contractor that was appointed to the job contacted me within 24 hours. We've worked before with the individual who came and he was very prompt. He very quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed it within 30 minutes.

My heating units were dispersed in the house. But interestingly enough, the contractor found the units and found another where another contractor had inadvertently hit the turn-off switch and he just put it back on. We moved into this home back in February, and we've had American Home Shield out for about two items. Their contractors are usually very prompt and efficient. We've always had a positive experience with American Home Shield and we're very happy.

We had speedy service when we called American Home Shield to submit a claim for our plumbing problem. When we called, they took the information and referred it to the contractor. And then they gave me the name of the contractor and sent an email with the information. The issue was that I thought there was a leak in the toilet itself but it appeared that it wasn't that, but also the feed line from the main line. It goes up to the bottom of the stool and it appeared that it was leaking there. When the plumber came, he looked at it and thought that it was loose. He then tried to tighten it up then he told us that we needed to watch it just to make sure it was not that feeder line because it could have also been there. But it was still leaking so they came back and fixed it. The toilet fill valve is what we have replaced and that goes into the bottom where the water lines come up.

The contractor who came out to do the work was very nice, polite and quick. I didn't have any problem. Overall, American Home Shield works for us and I have told people about it. I told them that it's nice to have somebody you can call any time of day, especially when it's an emergency and then they take care of finding someone to solve your problem.

I submitted the claim over the phone and the contractor that came did an excellent job. The problem was identified and he was in and out pretty quickly. He was pleasant to work with and on time. Everything's been fine since. There's another contractor coming out this afternoon for our electrical problem. They came out previously and did not have the part, so they have to come back out again which is no problem. Overall, American Home Shield did as promised.

Absolute horror show. Worst company I've ever worked with. During the home inspection, it was discovered that the HVAC was not cooling properly and needed repairs. The sellers agreed to repair or replace the unit. BGE Home came and made repairs and reported that is was in "good working condition". According to the contract, this would seem to qualify as a covered item - see below:

"A Covered Item malfunction that predates your Agreement Term is not covered under your Agreement unless the malfunction (1) was revealed during a home or other inspection that predated your Agreement Term and subsequent proof of repair is provided to AHS’ reasonable satisfaction". We moved into the home on July and the HVAC was cooling the home to our satisfaction for almost a week, then it stopped working and would not cool the home at all. We placed a service call on 8/5 and a technician came out on 8/8 and reported that the HVAC needed full replacement.

The coverage of replacement of the HVAC system was then denied because it was labeled as a "pre-existing condition". I was also told that if I had just simply turned on the unit I would have known it was not working. However, the unit did work for us several days before it failed. We would not have waited several days to place a request if it was not working, because it was the end of July/beginning of August and very hot. Now, the whole reason I purchased a home warranty from AHS was because of the fantastic reviews as well as my conversations with the sales team. I was told absolutely my system would be covered under the current situation (the HVAC was not broken yet) that the sellers made repairs on the HVAC system and as long as it's in working condition (which it was at the time) then it would be covered.

Of course I was denied. I then called in to the sales team again and acted as if I wasn't a customer yet and to see what they would say. I described the same exact situation (that had already happened to me) and guess what? THEY LIED AND SAID ABSOLUTELY MY HVAC WOULD BE COVERED. Not only l did I try this once, but I tried it again and they said the same thing. So now I've been lied to on 3 different occasions. I wrote letters, I sent emails, and called and called and called. It wasn't until my realtor called the AHS rep and said, "Hey you better take care of my client or I won't send you business anymore." Finally I get a call back from AHS and they said, "Oh we can fix your HVAC system." "What?!!" I exclaimed, "I thought you told me it was completely broken and needed to be replaced, so now you can magically repair it!?" Of course the girl didn't have a meaningful response. So now I've been lied to 4 times.

Anyway, I agreed and said, "Fine. Just fix it, I've been without air for a month in the middle of summer." So then she tells me that they will cover the mechanical part that's broken, but it's going to cost me $800 out of pocket. So basically, they wanted to put a Band-Aid on a 30 year HVAC system and have me sink 800 into it, only for it to break next month again and I'm back in the same boat. In the end I said, "Screw it, I'll take the cash out value of the policy and replace the unit myself (Cash out was a mere $750). I was so frustrated with these scam artists at this point. It was near impossible to get the check from them. I had to jump through hoop after hoop after hoop just to get my stupid check. Finally I did and I hoped I'd never have to work this absolute lying, cheating, scam artists again.

Lastly (this is a small thing, but it still really frustrated me). I noticed an outstanding balance after they came out and fixed a couple repairs on my dryer. I had pre-paid every service call so I knew I didn't owe any money. I jumped on the chat line and to my surprise it was painless and easy. The gentleman assured me I had already paid. To disregard the payment because I had already paid. I screenshotted the conversation just so I'd have proof later on because I knew these idiots would find a way to screw me. So a month or two later I got a letter saying I was past due on my payment. So I logged online and saw my account owed a balance. I tried calling in but their phone lines are absolutely a joke. Being transferred here and transferred there waiting forever. I tried the chat online chat again, but it was mysteriously removed from my account as an option to contact them.

Finally without being able to reach anyone, I just left it alone and said it's not my problem. It's their fault and the gentleman had already told me to disregard it. A few months later I jumped to place a service call and guess what? My account was frozen from placing a service call because I didn't pay my bill. I jumped on to try the chat line again and of course it says "Chat not available at this time". So now my accounts frozen and my dishwasher is broken. So I guess I'll try calling these mindless idiots one last time... They are a scam.

The reps at AHS are wonderful. I like to schedule online if possible because phone wait times are very long. I have had claims for several items in my home. My disappointment is restrictions of the contractors they send out. I usually call in because there are two companies that I never want to see in my home again because of attitudes and dishonesty.

Let me begin with attitude. Findlay Plumbing is the go to for AHS in my neck of the woods. He really didn't want to replace my water heater because the placement is very difficult. They did approve replacement! Go AHS!!! He complained the entire time he was at my home. I never want him back in my home and asked AHS to note that on my account. I guess the Reps can't do that because if I book online I get Findlay. I call instead.

Last summer, in hot Texas, my A/C went out! The reps were great as usual! The contractor was not! AHS replaced my compressor! YIPEE! That was great, Contractor? Not so much. The unit went out 2 days later. They came back, they had forgotten to put something in my unit. Two days later, my unit was out again. I called AHS this time because I wanted a different contractor. This man came out and I showed him the work order that had been given to me. I asked if he could check the hoses that I had been charged for because they looked like the old ones to me.

Those hoses were out of my pocket because they weren't covered. Turns out they were not replaced. US AIR did refund me after I called them. It was a $200.00 overcharge. I reported this to AHS and never heard back. That was summer of 2017 and my central unit only worked intermittently, so I purchased a small window unit to get me through the summer because I didn't want to spend hours on the phone and miss work again and again. I had just started my job in April. Today my water heater is out again. I could do the claim online and risk getting Findlay Plumbing or sit on the phone for who knows how long. With all that said, I like AHS. I wish they would listen to their customers with regard to contractor complaints.

The water in our shower was not draining quickly enough, so the water started collecting. The claim submission to American Home Shield was pretty good. They quickly assigned a vendor but I had to call the vendor to set the appointment and they didn’t get back to me soon enough. It took about two days for them to come out. I wish American Home Shield could take more professional and better contractors. This particular contractor that they sent out though, was pretty good and professional. They took care of the problem and everything's back to normal now. They also told me things to watch out for if it happens again next time. Although I wasn’t impressed with the quality of the work of some of the contractors AHS sent out previously in terms of the way they’ve spoken and how they were unprofessional, I’ve been with them for four years and I’ve never been dissatisfied with them.

We had an issue with the hot water heater. When I made the claim to American Home Shield the first time, the drip pan was full of water. The technician went inside and said that the thermostat was set differently. One was at 100 and the other was at 150 but they were supposed to be at 125 each so he changed them. He said that he thought that would fix it but if not, to call him back and it’s gotta be the elements and thermostat. There was water coming out again so I called him back. He came out and changed the elements and the thermostat. When we were taking showers, it wasn’t leaking a lot of water. But when my wife would take a bath, it gets to a certain amount of water and then it would leak water again. The third time the technician came, he called AHS and said that the prognosis was that there was a crack in the thing. That was why we went forward with getting a new hot water heater.

Joe was the plumber who installed the hot water heater. He had one guy that he calls for American Home Shield every time and they were on speakerphone so I heard what they were covering. The weird thing was I had called American Home Shield to ask about my coverage and the rep said that if it has to do with the hot water of my house, I'm covered for $2000. But when I talked to Joe, he said that was not the case and it was totally an out of pocket expense for the owner. But AHS still covered $150 and I paid $275 out of pocket. In fact, ever since we've had American Home Shield, it’s been great and I've had no problems whatsoever.

We had a specialty air conditioning unit with a dual condenser which wasn't that common in Florida so American Home Shield kept sending somebody who didn't understand the system. The air conditioning was wired strangely and I thought they were going to replace the unit until they realized that it was the wiring that was shorting out every time it rained or got extremely humid which in Florida does quite a bit. In the end, they called a specialty air conditioning person who tried rewiring it and AHS approved it. It was a good experience overall.

Recently, I had a leak in the shower head in my master bathroom, and so the water was just dripping. In Southern California, we don’t want our water to just drip. So I called American Home Shield and I told them the situation. They got a plumber so quickly. They called the plumber and then the plumber called me back. When the plumber came, he needed a cartridge which he did not have for that particular shower head. He said that he would have it in a few days, but in reality, he got it that day. And so, he came back that same day and put it in and it was wonderful. But then, when I went to take a shower, I realized that when he had put the faucet back on, he had it turned so that the water wouldn’t get really hot. So I called the plumber again and he came right back and fixed it. He was really good, professional and very nice.

So far, everything is good. The plumber did just exactly what was needed and there hasn’t been any dripping since. Also, the water gets nice and hot. I would recommend them to others. I didn’t even know there was any such thing until my girlfriend told me about AHS. And the reason I got them is that my house is 11 years old. I thought that this might be the time things start to go and AHS might be a good thing for me to have. I’m alone and I have to take care of everything myself. So, I’m glad I did it. I feel confident about calling AHS again if I have a problem. They take care of the problem for me so hopefully, it’ll continue to be wonderful.

In the past year, two of the claims I had with American Home Shield were for repair and one turned out to be a replacement. Once, I did a claim online but usually, I would call them and tell them what the problem is. And then, they would assign somebody and I would get contacted by the contractor. We would set up an appointment for them to come over, check out what the problem is, and then, they would work on a solution. In the case of my washer-dryer combination that we have upstairs in our house, the original guy who came out said that he won’t be able to repair it and they’ll send somebody else from AHS. They sent somebody else who checked that out and they decided that they needed to replace the unit.

AHS is very solution-oriented and the people that they send do good work. On a scale of 1-10, they’re between 7 and 8. Two years ago, they came for my refrigerator and they had to come out twice to get the solution. But it’s easy and simple talking to them on the phone as well as scheduling the appointments. In the world of service companies, American Home Shield happened to be the first one that knocked on my door and I've worked with them with enough number of years. There were years that I didn't use them because I didn't have any service call to contact them for. And so, I just continued paying my monthly charge. I've never had a problem and they've always been quite good so, I would highly recommend them.

Someone from AHS came over for the washer and they fixed it. But when they were looking at it and took out the faceplate, they chipped it when they were taking it apart. They were trying to use the screwdriver to pry it off and broke a piece of it off. Then they didn’t come back and replace or fix it. It was the whole faceplate of a washer, so, I can understand it would be expensive. But they were careless and they never took claim of it. Everybody else was great. So, for the most part, I’m overall happy with AHS. But they could pay for all of the Freon recharges in the air conditioning units and not just a certain amount of it. We had a leaky PVC pipe underneath the kitchen sink, so we called American Home Shield and they did all the rest. The plumber was friendly and replaced the fixtures in the kitchen sink. The only thing I was not happy about was how much time he took. He should have had that PVC pipe in his vehicle. It’s just PVC and he’s a plumber.

Then he replaced the entire faucet and spigot in the sink. We had a screw that was stripped for the hot water and he didn’t even look at that option. He just decided he was going to replace the whole spigot thing. He could’ve gone up to Home Depot or Lowe’s to get it, but it took him three weeks to finally get this resolved. When he came out, he looked the situation over, said he had to order parts and would be back the following week, and then I didn’t hear from him for two more weeks after that. I kind of feel that he maybe took advantage of the contract and waited until he had something else in this area, but otherwise, he was fine. Everything works and I’m satisfied that the work is done. I would still tell someone that a policy with American Home Shield is a good thing to have.

Our first claim with American Home Shield was when the air was blowing out of the AC but the coldness wasn't coming out. The contractor was really good. The first time he came, he checked to see what the actual problem was. And then he said that it was the coil. He checked upstairs, outside and in the backyard is. And then he said that he would have to go back to his work and submit what was going on with AHS. The next day, American Home Shield called us and the contractor completed the repair. Since then, the weather has been so cold that we barely started using the AC. But the day before yesterday, everything’s been going good.

We had problems with both of our fans. In our bedroom, our fan’s cord wouldn’t pull down so we weren’t able to turn our light on and off. In the living room, the fan wasn’t stable and was shaking. We weren’t able to turn the fan on or off because the cord had completely come off. We didn’t have a light in our bedroom for a couple of months and sometimes, it got a little hot in the living room because we weren’t able to turn on or off the fan if we wanted the light on or off. We had to have a whole new one put in.

Our contractor was really good and he was on top of things. He looked at both fans and he showed us what was wrong exactly and walked us through it. He even helped me clean the inside of it out. He was excellent, he always kept us in the loop about what he was gonna do and he was very quick. I highly recommend him. The fans have been much better since the repair and everything’s working. So far, it's been good with American Home Shield and I like the service that I’ve had. They've done a good job for us and I would recommend them.

We just bought a house and in our first three days, we had no hot water and we didn't have any pressure on it. So we had to go to our old house to take showers. When I submitted a claim to American Home Shield, I did it by phone. However, I didn't like the fact that I had to leave a message and that I didn't talk to somebody. And then, when I tried again, I got another recording. Nobody called back. It was a recording stating that Lake Norman would be coming out. And then, when they were ready to come out, Lake Norman called. I called late at night and they were out here by 12 o'clock the next day. Other than that, while the contractor they sent out was great and told us a lot of stuff, I don't know exactly what our policy covers on our two-year contract with American Home Shield.

Navigating American Home Shield's website was easy. I submitted a claim for them to sent someone to fix our plumbing problem. The toilet was flushing really slow. The contractor was professional. He walked in and I wasn't here but my wife told me that he told her what he would do and was clean but he reviews on everything. And while things are great, we're gonna have to replace the toilet. He used the snake toilet thing and it scratched up the drain part of our toilet really bad. We don't use the toilet very much and so when we noticed it, it was two weeks later. They don't seem to be gentler during the repair. But other than that, I've used American Home Shield about several times in several homes I've owned, and they've been consistent and good.

I have been an advocate for AHS since I started service in 2005. I felt it was the best and referred tons of people that I now regret. Over the years I have seen it less than sub par service and decline. I submitted service request for my AC no longer blowing cool air on 5/6/18. Received first diagnosis on 5/8/18 that my compressor is blown & I need 12lbs of refrigerant that will cost me $360 because AHS only pays $10 of the $40 per lbs. I received a second opinion and this company did not send the information to AHS that was actually found. My condenser label was worn off after 13yrs to be expected and they could not confirm anything. So the estimation that 1st tech gave was fraudulent. As such, this should be a case of a replaced AC unit. 2nd tech then proceeded to take a picture of my next door neighbors unit to report theirs as if it was mine since you could read their label.

I called AHS to speak to the authorization company to file a dispute and was treated terribly by customer service. I was told the supervisor would not allow them to transfer me because the call was on hold for over an hour so therefore she wouldn't take the call. HORRIBLE SERVICE! They told me the compressor was ordered and I asked if I could get hotel assistance as this is going on two weeks with no AC not to mention this is Mother's Day weekend and my mother passed recently. Customer service refused to assist and would not let me speak to anyone else. It will be 5/14/18 before compressor is received and we will continue to be without AC in this TEXAS heat! I am truly not going to continue to pay for horrible service and I will let everyone know not to go with AHS from this point forward. I don't know what happened over the years but it surely is not the same company.

I called yesterday to AHS to request service on my a/c unit not blowing cold. Response from the service company was great, within 1 hour. The rep came out to diagnose the repair, then scheduled to come back today to complete the repair. The tech advised the system takes 13.5 lbs of Freon. Freon is $35 per lb & warranty only covers $10 per lb. So I called AHS to request goodwill customer service assistance of the Freon charges. I didn't ask for it all to be covered, just a little help. All the service rep would say is "read the contract, only $10. No I can't help".

I advised this rep that I didn't get my policy until 3 weeks after purchasing the plan. I asked for a supervisor to talk with. She told me I couldn't, that I would have to email them. I asked for a supervisor 1st name and extension number or ID number to speak with, again she denied me any assistance. I feel this is poor service, the rep did not do anything to offer any satisfaction to any of my request. I should not have to reach out via email to speak with a supervisor when I am already on the phone with customer service!

I called American Home Shield the next day, a company called me right away but said they could only come the day I was in court all day. They then called to say they could not come until the next week so I asked for another company, that company called to tell me I was out of their service area, keep in mind these calls included 20 minutes on hold.

When I called to tell them it was urgent and I needed expedited service as the temperature was going to 92, 93, and 93 the next three days, they informed me they do not have expedited service. I asked for a higher level person, I was put on hold and they never came back. Someone called my cell phone from sales and had no idea why he was told to call me. I ended up having to hire a private company and paid out of pocket although I had already prepaid for a service call I could not get. Cancelled my account after paying them for two years, worst service I have received in a long time, run from this company and go the BBB to see other recent bad reviews.

They've always taken my claim and within a day I'd get a call back from whoever's gonna come out--whether it be a mechanic, plumber, electrician or whatever service tech. Then, they'd set the appointment and in three days, a tech would come out. With the most recent claim I've made, my dryer wasn't heating right and wasn't drying the clothes. I called and had a very good interaction with the rep I spoke with. Then, a young guy came out and he was very good, polite and knowledgeable. He corrected the problem. I've recommended American Home Shield to several people. Their system is really good and throughout the years that I've been with them, I've only had one bad experience. Also, the cost for what you pay and the service that you get are comparable.

The tech came out and replaced the control panel across the top because it looked like it was loose. When he cleaned it out, there was a bunch of lime in it and he tried a few things to fix it. He also replaced a shelf in the refrigerator which was cracked and it was working fine. But now, it’s doing the same thing and it’s been acting off and on. For the last two days, it hasn’t worked at all. I had to call and have somebody come back. I didn’t want to have to pay the fee for a second time but we’ll see how this all goes. American Home Shield was great. I had a dryer issue and the claims process went smooth. It was easy to get ahold of a representative and they were very pleasant. The contractor usually calls but I like to be proactive so I go ahead and call them to get on their schedule. I told them when I called what kind of dryer it was and I told them what it was doing so hopefully they might have had the part in their shop and just put it in their truck. So I left a message and they called me by the clock. They were very professional and they told me what the problem was.

Luckily the contractor had the part. The element had burned out and he showed me where it burned out and he replaced it. The dryer has been working wonderfully since the repair. I haven't had any claims for years and years and then all of a sudden this year my heater quit working and then my dryer went out but both of those times it wasn’t anything major. It was just a switch on the heater and they were able to fix both of them really quick.

He fixed a couple of things for me, but with the dryer, he asked me what it was doing and he said, "It sounds like this," and he walked in there and turned it on and as soon as he heard it, he knew exactly what it was. The dryer has been performing great since the repair.

I wish American Home Shield would get rid of one particular contractor, Greenway Home Services, because they were terrible. And anybody else will say the same. They told me that I needed something done and that it was gonna cost us much amount of money and it wasn't covered under my home warranty. We were getting no good responses from them and there's nobody in this area that services the heating and air conditioning besides them. But I had to hire somebody else because there was no way I was letting Greenway do it. Somebody else had to come do something at my house and that's bad when I have the home warranty. He said my stuff is in perfect working order when another company could've make a thousand dollars off of me.

We needed to see the ducts on the roof. We had three providers come in and had a look at the issue, Flow Right Plumbing being the third. The contractors reported back to American Home Shield and they never came back because they said they were not the right company to solve the issue. It was an inconvenience because I work but I needed to stay home waiting for them. They took photos of one case and they sent them back to AHS. Then, another contractor came out and he said he didn't receive the photos and they were not the ones to fix that. They also didn't bring a ladder although we made it specific that this is an AC unit that is on the roof.

We clean the ducts in the house and when they found more upstairs in the system, they said we had to seal the ducts in the AC unit in the roof so the water doesn't leak. They needed a special material to seal it and it was a very simple task. The company said they had nothing to do with this. But this is a plumbing company, maybe the plumbing know the ducts. The issue has been going on for two months now and the problem is that if it rains, more water comes into the system. I'm dissatisfied at this point with this issue. AHS has been great with other issues and we were very happy with the other services. But on this particular one, something is not working either with their contractors or with the information system that AHS has to get feedback from them.

My most recent claim with American Home Shield is my ice maker. I submitted the claim online then the technician came about two days. It was a Friday, so they came out on a Tuesday. A company locally came out and tried to fix it. Ordered the parts and stuff, but still couldn’t get it fixed. They thought they knew what it was the first time they came out, and they fixed it. They came out and it was fixed for three days. It stopped working again, so the guy came back out and he had to order all these parts and he said it’ll be after a week. Then the parts came in, he brought the parts out and still it doesn’t work. So he was like, “Hey, American Home Shield will get in touch with you. Then they’ll tell you what you got to do.” I was like, “All right.”

Then the refrigerator that they delivered was not the match for what we had spoken about. It met the dimensions but the features did not meet the same qualifications there. Not the same features that the other refrigerator had. The refrigerators are going to come different and I understand that. However, there’s a lot of things that went missing - features that we had with the other refrigerator, even though that was an older model.

And another big one was the space inside of the refrigerator. It meets the dimensions on the outside as far as the box itself, however inside of the refrigerator, the compartments, don’t even come close to what we had with the last time. Needless to say, you lose space based on the space that was already there prior to as far as shelf space. It looks like our shelves are minimal to what they were. It’s compact, smaller inside by far. When I talked to the original lady we talked over the actual dimensions, ‘cause the guy that came here has those actual dimensions, but that’s the box itself. I’m very dissatisfied.

I only had so many things that I could check. I got the plumber out and he was here for two minutes. He could tell right away that it wasn't a plumbing issue and told me I needed to get an appliance person out. So AHS called the appliance guy out and I got billed $75 twice for the same problem which I didn't think was fair. The appliance guy then said I either need a new dishwasher or they need to fix the motor because it's cracked. And it was leaking because of another issue. But I'm still waiting to hear back to see what they're gonna do about this problem. Nevertheless, the people have been great and the experience with AHS has been fine.

The guy came in, got right to business and was very professional. A week after he fixed it, we had the same problem again. They sent someone back out a second time who said that they had to order the part that was replaced plus additional parts. Once the parts came in, the original guy came back and he said that the parts he put in had burned out. He put two new parts in and told my daughter-in-law to give it about two hours and turn it on. She did and the whole room filled with smoke. It went from bad to worse. But it had nothing to do with the service quality because the refrigerator was old.

Right now, the refrigerator is sitting in our garage. They’re more than likely not gonna be able to repair it. They sent me an email a couple of days ago saying that a different refrigerator company would contact me. They wanted a second opinion on the refrigerator and no one’s contacted me yet. In addition, when I put in the service call with AHS, I set it up to pay it when the service was performed, but after the contractor contacted me, the decision was made not to proceed with the actual appointment. AHS came back and took the deductible out of my account. I had to contact them to get the deductible put back into my account.

He was also very professional and I appreciated that. The dryer has been working great since the repair.

I called American Home Shield’s number and told them that we needed an AC person to come out and check to make sure that the AC wasn’t broken or what needs to be done. So, I paid the $100 and they came out. They said that the whole unit needs to be replaced but unfortunately there’s no one main component that is broken to the point that it’s not working. The cold flow is right at the level and it makes a lot of noise but it’s not broken. They said that if one section of the unit breaks, then the warranty will cover whatever part broke. But it definitely needs to be cleaned which they gave us a quote for and then they also said we can keep putting the Band-Aid on the issue. If one thing breaks, call AHS. One other thing breaks, call AHS. And eventually in 10 years, we’ll probably have a new unit but he cannot guarantee that it will break in a week or five years from now.

We have an old unit and if we went to buy a new one, the warranty company would give us a discount so they don’t have to keep coming out and piecing it together. If the new unit costs $20,000 and we buy one, they can get us a $1,200 discount from AHS. So we’re helping them and they’ll help me. It’s starting to get hot here in Texas and it’s supposed to be up in the 90s. Right now, it’s doable but we’re just waiting. The experience with AHS has been good so far and I would tell people that I like them.

Then get a call from AHS informing me that the contract requires another $500 to install the water heater. These are "uncovered" installation costs, and my are they creative!! I get a quote from another reputable licensed plumber quoting me $200 for the same installation. I inform AHS that I want the other contractor to do the job, and they say NO. What good is a home warranty that costs you more than what you'd pay to replace the failed item WITHOUT the warranty??? No good. Waste of money. I am canceling this contract.

Called on a Sunday when my garage door opener went out, they told me it was not covered. So I went to Lowe's and bought one for $200 and took 5 hours to install it. I received all my contract information in the mail a week later and it stated that my garage door opener was covered. So I called that Sunday to get reimbursement and the guy said his supervisor would call me within 24-48 hours. I called again on Monday night and Wednesday night same story. They said a reimbursement is "due" but also one of the people said they may not be able to reimburse me for my time. This is complete disrespect and I let my real estate agent know about the customer service I have received.

The appointment was set for April 10 (Tuesday). I was late to meet the plumber and they did not wait – fair enough. However, I called AHS right after and WAS ASSURED BY AHS TO HAVE THEM BACK and I even received a confirmation from AHS. I also called the provider and they told me that could go back on the house on April 16 (Monday).

On April 13 (Friday), I called again the provider and was informed that the order was cancelled and need to call AHS. I called and they told that WOULD LOOK AT and get back to me on Monday (April 16). They did not get back to me and because I was closing on the house that week. Had to hire a plumber and paid out of the pocket $554.33! Finally, I contacted AHS again (April 30) and received no offer to reimburse my expenses. In fact, when I said that I want to cancel my plan, they were immediately processing my request. I can no longer recommend AHS to anyone. They let me down when I needed the most.

The first tech that came out from A+ Appliance on 03/14/2018, did not know anything about microwaves. He called his supervisor, and he diagnosed the problem as the fuse by FaceTime on the phone (big mistake). Took 3 weeks for the fuse to come, and the tech came back, and with the supervisor on FaceTime (poor professionalism), the fuse only brought power, but no functionality of the microwave. Said they have to get another part. Has to be ordered again. Since then, I have been waiting for the AHS and the A+ Appliance to come out with the second part, and fix my microwave.

I have made several calls, and the AHS customer service staff are very rude, and covering up for AHS, always making excuses. In the meanwhile, my contract expired on 04/22/2018. I refuse to renew my contract, as my experience was anything but good. I paid $552 for a year, with a $100 deductible, and the microwave was the only thing that I claimed. With the money I paid, I could have purchased 3 or 4 new microwaves. AHS is an awful company, and I would not recommend them to anyone. After 2 months, my microwave is still not fixed or replaced.

So when he submitted his cost to AHS he needs to Jerry Rig and modify my ductwork for $2600 out of pocket. I called the maker of the unit and they have the OE parts so no Jerry Rig ductwork would be needed. When talking with AHS they said they stand behind their HVAC guy even though it would cost me $2600. I asked for an authorized repair tech and was told they will give buy out price instead. So they hire and stand behind companies that price the work not covered by them so high it makes it cheaper to take the payout. All their contractor wants is to sell NEW SYSTEMS that only cost $4000. This smells like rotting fish to me and they don't care. Every other claim with them has been good and NO OTHER HVAC company sent ever tried this CRAP.

For the past 2 years I've been having problem with my air conditioning unit. In that time frame they’ve been replacing my Freon in a total of 6 visits. As per their technician they said there wasn't any leakage. So late last year they refilled again my Freon. Then starting January I stopped using my air conditioning unit since it’s winter and I have a portable heater. Then come this summer I decided to switch it on again, and guess what? Not cooling at all. So I called AHS set up an appointment.

Technician came by 2 days after just looked the unit from outside and inside didn't use any equipment at all and said there’s a leakage and told me needs to be replaced. So AHS called me shouldering me to pay $1200. Then they gave me an option for me to look for other technician but they will only give $800! I've been paying almost $500 for my insurance. The fact that the only thing that they ever covered was just the ac nothing else. Imagine almost $200 refilling the Freon and that’s 6 times, $1200 plus the $75 each visit. SO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND having an insurance policy with them at all.

The parts that were ordered were not even faulty.

Second contractor diagnosed my issue and flat out told me directly that it would be the next 48 hrs before he could even reach back out to AHS because he had other service calls to complete. I have had an outstanding issue regarding my HVAC. In March, my HVAC was not working properly. AHS sent a technician who said the unit was old and doing the best it could. The next week the unit failed and I contacted AHS. I also got an estimate for a new unit. AHS representative instructed me to send the estimate for a reimbursement to their reviews department. March 26, I got a denial letter. It's been appealed to the State of VA Insurance Commission and AHS. I have also sent Steve Hochhauser, Acting CEO communications. Still no resolution. Stay clear of this company. Their marketing campaign should be, "We hide behind the shield", not "You're protecting by the shield".

I absolutely love American Home Shield. I'm a single woman and I don’t know how to fix stuff, and they just take the worry away from me. I've had a great experience every time I've used them. The first time I've had something done was when I had a major leak under my bathtub and they fixed it in a timely manner. They have fixed my old refrigerator before a couple of times too. Then, I recently got a new air conditioner through them. I chose to upgrade and paid the difference to get a better air conditioner. However, the unit just never seemed to cool. So, being it under warranty, a repair guy came, looked at it, and put Freon in it. But in a few weeks, it wasn’t any better. He came out again, put Freon in it and told me that he thinks my Freon line in the wall on my house has a leak in it.

Winter came and I didn’t do anything about it. When summer started, the air conditioner just wouldn’t cool my house at all. So this time, I just got American Home Shield. The guy came out here and within five minutes, he found my problem and my house is so cool. The problem was not in my wall. There was a leak in the house in the unit and he just had to tighten something in there where the Freon was leaking out. He just reached up and said there was oil, which meant that there was Freon leak. He also explained to me that it was 700 pounds of pressure going through there. The guy was so trained and absolutely knew what he was doing. He told me that he's been doing this for about 20 years now. With all these, I recommended American Home Shield to other people. Recently, I told a gentleman that I have them and he said that I'm so smart to use something like it. I also told him that they came out here for $75 and they fixed the problem.

The temperature in the oven seemed to not be accurate and a claim was submitted online with American Home Shield. The contractor that came was very nice, polite and efficient. He was prompt and not rushed. He tested the oven with thermometers, then he reset something on it. He said that the temperature vacillated and went off a little bit, but the oven was going to be fine. I still use the oven, but we're not sure it is fine, so we're considering having it tested again because the temperature seems to be jumping quite a bit. For an expensive double-oven, the temperature should be a little more true to what we set. The oven's temperature being off is not a problem if I cook because I've been cooking long enough that I just adapt to that. But it's a problem and an inconvenience if I bake because if I set the oven to 400, it preheats to 400, then when I go and look, the temperature is 430 or 440.

About three weeks ago I noticed that there was a brown spot in the ceiling when I walk out of the front door so I started to investigate. I went upstairs and above that spot is the toilet. I went closer and I could see that there was water that was dripping from the tank. The tank had a hairline crack so I shut the water off and looked at my contract for American Home Shield. I saw that it covered the toilet. It doesn’t say that it has to be normal and that they're not going to cover if it's cracked, and that they're not going to replace it. If the items are not working, like broken flush where water is leaking it’ll be replaced. So I went to all of my bathrooms at that point because I was thinking if one was doing this, there could possibly be another.

None of them was leaking but there was a crack in the tank in the master bathroom. If you look behind it there's traces of the quarry or the tank dye from the toilet cleaner that I had put in. So I was like okay, let me call and get this taken care of. So I called and placed in a ticket. I informed the lady that the tank have a crack. I read through my policy but I wanted to ensure before I have the guy come out there because it's a $100 call. I didn’t wanna waste the money.

The lady said they cover it and they'll send somebody out there. She sent the guy out there and the guy spent 30 seconds. He looked at it and said, "American Home Shield is not gonna approve that." And I was like what? And that was $100. I was a little irate because to me that was just uncalled for. If they weren't gonna cover it, she should have told me before because I would have just said, “You know what, that’s not a problem. I will go ahead and take care of it myself.” But that was not what she informed me. She informed me that they would.

Then the contractor tried to sell me their product which is $327 per toilet. I was like, "Are you crazy?" Now I felt like I'm kind of being hassled. So I called American Home Shield. I called the supervisor to the first contractor that comes out. He apologized and said, “Hey, you know what, I'm gonna send another guy out. We'll look at it. We'll try to get this resolved.” So I was like “Okay, great.”

So the guy that comes out is the supervisor and he told me it's a crack in the tank and American Home Shield doesn’t cover that. Then I pulled up my contract and I have him read it. It doesn’t state any such thing. So I was standing there completely frustrated and I was like, "Okay. You know what, I don’t need another opinion." I know that I can do that within the contract.

When I asked for another person to come out, Kevin, supervisor of the claims called me and I called him back. I explained to him what I was experiencing. I also told him about the policy and that I had the house built brand new so I'm the only occupant in it. It's been erected for 10 years now. The guy explained to me the reasoning behind the crack. What he said that occurred was when you use the toilet and sit back on it there could be a stretch from using the toilet and people leaning back on it over a 10-year period. So I'm like okay, that’s all day normal wear and tear.

After that happened the guy told me that they would authorize the second opinion thing. Once I found out who the company was, I called them before they came out. I explained to them what the scenario was. I told them exactly that each tank had hairline crack in it. The crack is not huge. They're just is not bigger than a strand of hair but it's leaking and automatically he tells me American Home Shield is not gonna cover that. I told them they don't have to come out because if they come out then they're gonna charge me $100. So that's $200 to get an issue resolved and it still hasn’t been resolved. So I said no. I'm very dissatisfied.

So, their live customer service should be improved upon as far as when people call in. It also took a while for their contractor to get in touch with me. So, I was not too pleased with that experience. But since then, my experience with them has been pretty good.

Recently, my water heater expired and it was leaking in the basement. I went to the website, made an account and filed a claim based of the description of what it was, which was under plumbing, and then I just selected garbage disposal. We have dealt with two contractors. The first one was not good at all. He called me to schedule an appointment and said he was gonna call me back but he never did. I called like about five or six times. I called AHS back and told them what was going on. They said that they're gonna contact the contractor but I told them not even to worry about it because the guy was pretty rude. Even though the first contractor kind of fell through the floor and didn't perform, when I told American Home Shield about it, they were on it and they made sure that it was handled very quickly.

They had set me up with another contractor and that person was great. They called me same day and told me they were gonna call me back later that evening. They called me exactly when they said they were going to. They scheduled an appointment and they came on time. The guy who set up to do the work was very professional. He introduced himself and did everything very clean. He got in and out very quickly. I was satisfied with what they did. The disposal was working perfectly since the repair. I would let my friend know that American Home Shield covers a good range of the things in the home, whether it be appliances or general home equipment. American Home Shield was Johnny on the spot to fix it and the customers were happy.

AHS' reps are always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. But I got frustrated about my 4-year-old refrigerator because it hadn’t been making ice at all. The service company has been working hard to make it right and has been out there multiple times changing out parts to no avail. It's making ice intermittently which is a step up but I still have problems with it and we've given them plenty of time. They’ve ordered a heat coil since that was the only part that the service guy could think of that hasn’t been replaced. But I got renters in that house who are paying good rent money and they haven’t had ice working properly since they moved in in February. I just moved out of that house a year ago after living in it for 22 years, and everything was fine. But then the stove won't heat up too. American Home Shield offered to replace it which I accepted. I feel bad about having to replace the refrigerator too, but this just can't go on.

So far, AHS has been reasonable and exceptionally good but I’ve read some of the comments about them lately and it looked like they went through a rough period of time with people dissatisfied with them. But now people are coming back and saying that they’ve gotten their jinx worked out and AHS has been doing fine now.

Their website was amazing and they responded to us right away. Once we made an appointment, their contractor would go here. They called us and let us know when they were half an hour away. Even if we wanna call them and find out, they would tell us how far they are. They explained to us, so it's easy to communicate. The technician from JED Mechanical Contractors who came to fix the water heater was very friendly and he knew what he's doing. He's very good and the water heater has been amazing since the repair. I felt like taking a hot a water shower is so good. Other people should have insurance. It's helpful, it's a stress relief and a good service.

Two of the heaters are not working and it was not the first time that somebody went to see and check the problem. They thought that it was a gas furnace and it was not. Those are electric heaters. They're removable from the wall and all you have to do is take two screws out, bring 'em out, disconnect it, connect the other one, put them back in, put the two screws in and it's done. There’s really no rocket sign in it. We received the message just a week ago that the heaters are on order and that the job hasn’t been completed because they haven't come in yet. And this was after a couple of weeks that the technician was there. It keeps getting delayed. If this was the middle of winter, the guys will be suffering. The house will be cold.

My wife put the claim in. I told her what was wrong and she made the phone calls. But there hasn't been enough communication between the American Home Shield, the contractor and us. I wish there was more communication. American Home Shield has made the arrangements. But they haven't kept up with the contractors in order for the contractors to make sure that the job is done in a more efficient way. And that was where they failed. So American Home Shield's just a service but it's all based on who they hire to get the job done. And so far, the contractor hasn't been fast and hasn't communicated enough. So, here we are, still waiting and it has already been one or two months since we began all this process. It was a bad experience.

Also, I couldn’t believe that he drove so far. He has a large area and there wasn’t someone closer. But he came and he was here when he said he would be. He was very courteous and explained to me that I should be a little more careful about what I put down the garbage disposal. He was in and out of the house in about less than an hour. He took the old garbage disposal out and took it with him and put the new one in and cleaned up the water around it and told me, “Not a problem.” It couldn’t have been a better experience.

I had been with Old Republic, which was absolutely an awesome company. I’ve been with them for about six years but we had had several claims and so they said they would no longer cover it. On the other hand, I've had American Home Shield for about a year and it’s been fine. However, we’re 80 years old and I would rather pick up the phone and call than get on the computer and try to file a claim. But getting through is awful and it is not easy sometimes. Other than that, I will probably renew with them.

I haven't really moved in all the way yet and the weather here in Texas was starting to be a little cooler than usual, so it was okay. I called American Home Shield to come and check the AC unit out. I went online and submitted the claim, and a rep called me back and set up an appointment.

Then the contractor came out and we talked, and he explained the problem and what he was gonna do. He was very efficient and I was happy with him. He checked my outside unit and fixed that. Then he realized that something was wrong with my inside unit too, so he came back the next day and fixed that as well. So far, the AC unit has been working well since the repair was made. It was a good experience and everything was cool. I was pleased my experience with American Home Shield and I would call them again. They come out pretty fast and take care of the problem, so getting a warranty from them would definitely be worth the cost.

I'm not that impressed with American Home Shield. I had an issue with my furnace where I needed the gas pilot A/C switch. It was probably over 20 years old and it's the original furnace when I purchased the home. The contractor came out and he told me that I would need a new furnace because my furnace was really, really old. He said, "Well, I don’t think they'll fix this. You might have to pay something but it shouldn't be more than like a couple of hundred. But I don’t really know, they'll let you know." When AHS called me, they told me it was $1,050. I said, "Well, I thought if there was an issue, you'll repair it."

The AHS rep then said, "Well, we'll repair the furnace but the parts, you'll have to pay for." That defeats the purpose of having this service because over the weekend I had called a company called Reliable and they came out and they said to replace the whole thing would be approximately $1,500 so where are my savings? At this point, I'm really contemplating whether the service is going to be beneficial to me considering that I paid for it for my son and myself. In fact, my son had a repair done early part of this year or late last year. AC cools you so he hasn’t turned on his air-conditioning. But when he went on to turn it on a few days ago, what they repaired is not working.

Atlanta Gas Light replaced the meters on the whole street. And in doing so, they had to turn off all the gas. Once they completed, they turn it back on. When the guy came in to turn it back on, when he went to light it, even though it was off, it was still showing that it was spinning its hands. So he said, he wouldn't turn it back on because there looked to be a safety valve issue. When AHS sent the guy out, the guy who came out said he didn’t see a safety valve issue. Well, this is Atlanta Gas Light, I don’t see why he would say there was if there wasn’t and so, the guy said about replacing the furnace.

I got the service because I was told it was a great service and it helps save you money but what I'm seeing is slipshod work and dishonest advertising as far as what AHS does and doesn’t do. This is my second time using their service. My first experience was a few weeks ago when my washer stopped working. I called on a Wednesday or a Thursday and the person I was speaking with said, "Okay, usually you'll hear something within 24 to 48 hours from the repair contractor." I asked if they work on the weekends and she assured me they do have some that work on weekends and I said, "Okay, that's cool. My first time using the service so I'm finally getting a benefit out of it." But I didn’t hear anything from them. That Saturday, I called them and I said, "I haven't heard anything from anyone. What's going on?" And then that's when they said, "Oh no, they don’t work on weekends. They only work Mondays to Fridays from 9 to 5."

I had someone sit in there with me and I called her and said, "Hey, maybe I'm confused. I'm sure they told me that they worked on weekends." Now, I've got clothes that are sitting in a tub of water in the washing machine. And so, she was like, "No, they did say that. They worked weekends." I had to call to find out if my part ever came in, what's going on and what happened, because no one called me to inform me anything and that's when they said, "Oh, we're waiting on your part." And then they called to tell me the part came in.

The next day, they told me I wouldn't have a time frame. I had to stay open from 9 to 5 because the person could come there at anytime. But I work and I can't take a whole day off of work just to sit at home not knowing what time this guy is coming in. I, at least, need a time frame. And she said, "Well, you need to call the contractor directly tomorrow and maybe they can tell you but we can't. We have to keep it open from 9 to 5." I said, "That's ridiculous because you're requiring me to be home and take off for him to come and then require me to take off and be home again for him to do the repairs. That will be two days I'm taking off with an undetermined time of when he'll be here which is not fair to me."

She said, "Well, that's all I can tell you. You're going to have to call them because we have no control over that." So, both times I've had to use the service, I didn’t feel it was in my best interest. I've had the service for not even quite a year, this is my first two times using the service and neither was really a pleasant experience for me. And that's why at this point, I had Reliable come out Saturday to look at my furnace.

Sometimes it takes a while for the company to call you back but usually once I have that number I call them and they were great. They actually came out within an hour. The company we used was really good and I didn’t have any problems at all. We've used them several times. The tech replaced the garbage disposal and it was done within an hour as well. After the repair, the garbage disposal has been working fine.

Having American Home Shield is a security because no matter what appliance issues you might have in the home you buy, you're probably gonna be able to get it fixed for the $75 fee. I'd tell others that having American Home Shield is a great idea. However, it's expensive because it costs you every month you're into it $600 to $700 a year. But if you have something major that goes wrong, and we've had several things happen since we bought this house, it's an affordable way to get something fixed.

I had a plumbing problem so I submitted a claim to American Home Shield and it was easy. However, nobody made any phone calls to me to schedule the person they assigned. So I had to call AHS and I got a really nice gentleman that went through about six people on their list that were no longer taking jobs. He then assigned me to one contractor but they never called me. Again, I had to call back and they finally gave me to Central Valley Plumbing. They were great. They sent me an email right away and let me know they would call. I got a call from them and told me the the soonest day they could get out. They did come when they said they would and they did a great job. It took a week before somebody came out, which was horrible, because I couldn’t wash any dishes. The problem was the kitchen sink so I didn’t wanna use the dishwasher because it’s all connected. It was inconvenient. But once it got taken care of it was okay.

The previous experience to this one was an outside plumbing issue that I wasn’t sure where it was. They sent the people out but it was raining. So the guy said “I can’t do anything today. I have to come back. We have to reschedule.” About a week passed, I told AHS to find out when we’re gonna reschedule it. And so, we rescheduled. They sent out this person and he didn’t climb under the house. He said “Oh, it's an outside faucet. It’s not covered.” When I said “Well, when this was happening we couldn’t find where it was leaking. It’s gotta be under the house which is covered.” He then said, “Of course you don’t see anything. Did you turn on the water?” He was rude so I said, “Get off my property. You’re useless.” I called back AHS and talked to them about what happened and they said “Well, we can send out somebody else but if they say it’s the same thing then you need to pay another $75.”

I don’t have a choice and the water leak needs to be fixed. I had the water run because I had turned it on not knowing what it went to. The water company came up and put a note on my door that I might have a water leak because my usage jumped up. And I thought “Okay, that’s the only thing I changed.” So, I turned it back off and the city confirmed that it stopped and the water went right back to my normal. I was calling because we walked around looking and we never found any leaks. When I called back they said that they’ll send out Central Valley. They came out and their employee turned it on. He did see some water but he couldn’t get all the way under the house at that time because it was raining and it was all wet. And he did see a big puddle in one area and said he would have to come back when they could get under there with the boss.

But I never heard back from American Home Shield and I’ve been in touch with Central Valley. Apparently, the owner has broken his hip so they’re waiting on him to come in. They will come back and I’m waiting on that but it just seems odd to me that AHS has not even followed up nor contacted me and this issue has been going on for a month now. But as long as my valve’s off and I’m not running water, I'm okay. Overall, AHS seem to be lacking on their follow up. And I don’t understand why they had so many contractors on their list but none of them were taking clients. AHS needs to do an update.

I had a double-oven wall unit and the top unit was not turning on. I submitted a claim online with American Home Shield and got a notification of who would be coming out to the house. The contractor who came was great. He was able to fix the unit right away. The issue was the sensor inside the stove which I wish I noticed myself so that I could've saved the 100 buck copay. But that was resolved and the contractor did a good job. He also explained what he was doing.

The other service call I had was for a plumbing issue and that was a little more complicated. American Home Shield subcontracted someone to come out and fix a faucet leak I was having. The first contractor came out and looked at it. He didn't have any tools, so he said he'd have to come back. But, he never came back. I waited two weeks and nobody called. Then, the drywall people came out and said, "We heard that we have to patch a hole that was made by the plumber." I told them that the plumber never made a hole because he never came out. So then they said that they would contact the plumber to let him know.

I waited another couple of weeks but never heard anything, so I eventually called American Home Shield back and told them that no one had come out yet. They were very sorry. They sent someone else out and this time, the contractor was very good. He came out, looked at it, and identified the problem. But, he didn't have the tools with him to do the job. He said he would have to get another piece to replace the part that was needed and then come back out. That's my only complaint with American Home Shield. They take the time off to meet the folks to come out, and they always have to come out twice. So, that was twice that we had to schedule to be at home to get that one repair done. I just wish the people who were contracted were prepared to fix the job the first time they come out.

I am writing to warn potential buyers of this insurance away. On March 16th, American Home Shield sent a HVAC contractor here to assess why my furnace was leaking water. The service Tech said it was a clogged drain line. He advised it was fixed, and he left. They couldn’t get a local company and sent one here from over 60 miles away. We thought the problem was corrected. My furnace sits above our upstairs bathroom, and hallway. After two weeks, we noticed more water damage. The hallway ceiling falling in, stains on the bathroom ceiling, water leaking down into our kitchen, which is on the second floor. I had a general contractor go up into the attic, he advised that there was a huge puddle around the furnace.

I made another call to American Home Shield. They contacted a HVAC company that has a F rating with the Better Business Bureau, I didn’t know this till this company started jerking me around, and I looked them up. They determined that I had a busted heat exchanger. I waited about ten days, calling American Home Shield, then the contractor. One was blaming the other for the delay. After calls on a daily basis, sometimes more than 2 per day. Keep in mind, repairs on my home have gone from a 1300.00 estimate, to now over 8000.00 dollars. Got on the phone with one person, and was told that they only covered oil, and electric furnaces. My contract says otherwise. It is now May 9th. I still have a broken furnace. They called with a buyout for a 92% efficient furnace was 567.00. Seriously! Horrible experience, horrible service, F rated contractors. You aren’t getting what you think you are.

The out of pocket did not concern me as much due to the fact, Freon was added to my AC unit and AHS doesn't pay but $10 toward the 1st pound, which is another whole story because that should be included. I paid the first claim about $600/700 for Freon. Not happy about that because if I pay per month for the warranty, after the co-payment is paid, refrigerate should be included. The second claim was for my tub faucets. The claim was denied because the faucet was off and they assumed someone else had attempted to fix it. That was bull and I am still upset because I paid $75 and still had to pay another company to fix it after the denial.

The first AC claim was in 2016 and serviced by a Newby Home Builders company. Didn't find out until the second claim but the only thing done at that time was a clogged pipe was unclogged and Freon put back in at my expense. No leak fixed or anything. The tech did tell me that my unit was old and pipes were rusty and he would note that my unit would eventually need to be replaced.

Fast forward to 2018. I placed a claim on Thursday, May 3, 2018 because my AC unit was not cooling the house. The service representative came out on Tuesday, May 8th to service my unit. He looked at the unit and told me that the unit was heavily damaged and he couldn't get a good reading to charge the unit, if he tried. I witnessed him take pictures while informing me that he could not fix it and would need to be replaced. He said he would write it up and submit for a replacement to AHS. I asked Ray, (the tech), what the cost would be to replace unit and he said about $1800. I thanked him and he said he would call in the diagnosis to AHS later after finishing up his additional calls.

Later in the evening, I received a call from the authorization department stating that my claim was denied. I questioned why and was told the tech said the unit was heavily damaged due to abuse. I was totally shocked because that was not told to me and also on my diagnosis sheet that was given to me, it simply stated "heavily damaged and can not get an accurate reading from unit". Nothing about abuse was told to me. I tried to explain to the authorization department that nobody has serviced the unit since the last American Home Shield AC visit in 2016 and the unit was 20 years old so normal wear and tear could be a reason for the damage. I also told the representative that in 2 years, we have had torrential rains, winds, hail, snow and other conditions that could damage an AC unit.

The authorization rep stated the tech told them it was not normal wear and tear. If a unit is 20 years, it would not be in perfect condition nor in tip top shape. The last time the unit was touched was by the contractor of AHS, did they abuse my unit? I called AHS twice to speak to someone on the issue. The first representative was rude and not helpful. Was told there was nobody that could overrule the authorization department and the only thing I could do was ask for a second opinion of another company coming out to look at it with a stipulation. The stipulation was if the second company diagnosed it different, I would not be responsible for the copay of $75 but if the diagnosis was the same, I would be responsible for another $75.

I also was told I had 7 days to request a second opinion. I again asked to be transferred to a supervisor, manager or given a Corporate office number because I am determined not to let this claim go denied. Again to no avail. I waited for an hour and called AHS again. Got a second representative that was a bit helpful. During this call, I did get a little further with my complaint. The representative stated she could elevate the complaint upward and management had 24 to 48 hours to respond. This was progress as the first rep. stated I could talk to no one further.

Being upset, I called the tech, (HVAC Services of Richmond) and asked him why did he tell me and the company two different stories. He stated he told me that the machine was heavily damaged, which he did, but he did not tell me that it was abuse nor that the unit was not damaged as a result of normal wear and tear or weather. He said he did not tell the authorization that, he only answered questions that he were asked and AHS makes their own decisions. I told him I'm very upset that you didn't attempt to fix, as he never put his tool on the machine to doing any testing, but told me that it needed to be replaced. He said all he could do was give AHS his findings but it's not up to him to approve or disapprove. I knew that but his report made them deny my claim and it's not proven that the machine was abused.

So I change the subject and ask how much would it cost if I had him do the work without AHS. He tells me about $3200. First the cost earlier was $1800 and now it has went to $3200. Fraudulent and Mistrust is how I now feel. He stated the price increase was replacing inside and outside unit while $1800 would be for replacing outside unit only because AHS only pays for what is broken and not both. I'm highly upset with this company. 1) for being a liar and 2) for trying to jack the prices up had I wanted him to do the work outside of the warranty. I never want to deal with HVAC Services of Richmond again and will not refer them to no one so if you ever have a AC/heating issue and HVAC is the contractor, please ask for another company. I will also contact BBB about this company.

Today, I contacted AHS and gave my story account again. The representative stated it was noted that I had called several times on the issue but asked if I wanted a second opinion. I asked to speak to a supervisor/manager. This time I was transferred to a supervisor(Anna, ID#**) and she stated she has looked over my account and see my concerns and assured me that my claim was being researched and reviewed. She stated she could not help me at this point because she is a supervisor in billing and assured me that I would be helped with my issue. She said give management more time to contact me back (It was not 48 hours yet). I will do that but I will not let this rest. I have been paying for this warranty for 6+ years and it states if the appliance could not be fixed, it would be replaced.

I will update my review on my findings but I will contact BBB and a lawyer if need be to get my unit fixed or replaced. Also, they will look into why in 2016 nothing was repaired and Freon was added. Why does the unit blow hot air... that tells me there is a leak that was not fixed in 2016. I am terribly upset and will not rest until it's taken care of. Please stay on top of this company.

Could not fix leaking kitchen faucet previously. This weekend - washing machine was not working. Called them but the earliest available appointment would be tomorrow. Requested them for earlier appointment as an elderly person and children live there and need to use it. But they refused to help us out with earlier appointment. The agent was rude and did not want to cooperate and hung up on me while I was talking. Today I canceled the contract. Lost money - monthly premiums, service fee and cancellation fee. They do not keep up with their works - do not use them.

The air conditioning was not working and I tried to submit a claim to American Home Shield online but it didn't work so I did it over the phone. The problem with the air conditioner was, American Home Shield paid for a brand new air conditioner which was installed on April 16th and it ran fine from April 16th until the day before yesterday when it just stopped all of a sudden. They sent a technician out and gave me a four-hour window but the guy did not make it out until 8:00 last night. The air conditioner came back on and worked but within 15 minutes of the technician's departure, it was off again so I went back in and did another report.

American Home Shield called me this morning and a young lady asked me what was wrong. I told her that I do not know what was wrong but my husband thinks he knows what the problem is and I told her we need someone from the company that is working on this air conditioner who knows how to troubleshoot to come out and take a look at it. Because if they just send a technician, some of them are new and doesn’t know what the problem is. They go through and may get the machine working, but within 15 minutes it’s gone again so I have indulged the company that is working on this air conditioner because they installed it.

American Home Shield’s been great and I love them. When I tell them I have a problem, they try to fix it for me. If I have a problem with the contractor company, they’ll send somebody else out there and I have had that happen before, but only with the air conditioner. When I had a claim for my washer and for my stove, the young man who came from the company that repaired my stove, washer, and dryer was fantastic. He came in, went right to work and knew what he was doing. Although I don't know how American Home Shield chooses the companies that they're going to work with for people, I know that they can get a bad one every once in a while who doesn't know what they were doing. But for the most part, they knew what they were doing.

Then we had a ceiling fan that wasn't working. We called AHS, paid our $75, then they had somebody come out and they replaced it. So, it's been pretty good. I filed our claims online and it was very easy. I liked doing it that way and I didn't like having to call. All in all, I would recommend AHS because they're easy to use. Their coverage is also very good on things inside the house and it's not a small, limited coverage.

They kept on moving me all day. So, I had to wait for them all day long. I was scheduled for 8:00 AM and they ended up showing up around 5:30 PM. They did the work and left. But on the second visit, the follow-up visit, the issues were fixed. But because they couldn’t fix it on the first day, they gave me a discount. They apologized for the first inconvenience, which was a good thing. My experience was very good, overall. It was very easy to work with them.

They texted the information to me in five to 10 minutes. The contractor called later that day or the next day to set up an appointment. The technician was professional and on time. He came out and looked, and he needed to order a part. He came this morning and fixed the problem. He was very thorough, took out the part and cleaned it, put in the new part, and put the stove back together. He did his job and it was good, then he cleaned up and left. My stoves's eyes have been working since the repair. I would recommend American Home Shield. They’re very efficient.

I had no heat and submitted a claim to American Home Shield over the phone. Everybody at their office was very good, including the person I spoke to. The guy they sent walked in, flipped the switch of the heating unit, and it came on. The whole thing turned out to be my fault when I threw a towel over something the night before in the garage and it inadvertently flipped the switch shutting off the on-off switch. I thought I did everything. I checked the batteries on the thermostat and flipped the switch off on the furnace. Nevertheless, the technician was very nice. He felt terrible and said that he'd look while he's here and checked on a couple of other things, including the filters for me. But I'm happy that's all it was. If American Home Shield can fix it, they won't replace it. They fixed my refrigerator a couple of times and changed the compressor. Still, I really wish I'd get a new refrigerator, but they keep fixing it.

I filed the claim over the weekend and the locksmith service might be closed which caused the delay.

I went online to see if there were any status change and it said that I should call them within 24 hours. But there was bad weather and I was only available on a Saturday, so we had to reschedule. They offered to come out the next day but I wasn't available. So, the tech came out the next Saturday and he was professional. He rang the doorbell, said he was here for the AC repair, and he talked to my husband about what was going on.

They gave us a quote that it was gonna cost $600 to replace the compressor and Freon. Then they said the whole AC needed to be replaced and that was gonna be $7,000. I thought my home warranty was gonna cover more than that but I didn't read the fine print somewhere. Then, this supervisor from the AC company called me back on the next business day and offered me $2,000 off of that. He also explained how they partnered with Wells Fargo on financing and I didn't know why they couldn't have offered me that price the first time. Other than that, I also used AHS for my dryer and that worked out. All in all, since we have older appliances, having the warranty might be good.

While the tech was here, he said he was going to have to order a part and I asked him if he would change the bulb out for me, and that was when he realized something was wrong with that also. I’m waiting for him to come back now. Bennett Electric called to let me know that the part was back ordered and that they would be back as soon as it came in. They’re wonderful people also. The tech attempted to fix the ice maker, but it’s still not working. When he comes back out with the part for the light, he would also look at the ice maker again.

Two years ago, AHS sent a company called Temprite and they tried to scam us to buy a new compressor. I called AHS and I told them that Temprite was trying to get me to buy a new compressor, which was not covered by AHS. And in the end, all I needed was a $10 part. I was out of air conditioning in 90-degree weather for two weeks and I was nine months pregnant. It was a very upsetting time. However, when I called AHS and complained, they never took Temprite off. I told AHS that I never want to hear Temprite again when I called up for a problem. AHS is good for what they’re good for. You think that when you’re paying a $1,000 a year, everything would be covered. But a lot of things are not covered and a lot of times they try to make it a customer not maintaining their home. But beyond that, they try to get somebody to your house right away when you have an issue.

When the shower was leaking, we called American Home Shield and they called us back. We made an appointment and the plumber came and fixed it. It was a fine experience. Then we had a garage door issue and our experience was horrible. The garage door wasn’t working, so we called American Home Shield the same day and made an appointment. They called and said that they can work with that. Then the guy came out and said that our spring needed to be replaced, but it was not covered under our warranty.

He said they don’t cover the spring and I said that the garage door was supposed to be covered. I also told him we’ve had the exact same problem a couple of years ago and it was covered. He said it wasn’t and we had to pay for it. I asked how much and he said it was $375. It was Friday afternoon and I couldn’t get my car out of the garage and at that point, I told him he had to do it. No one else was gonna be able to do it until Monday and there was nothing I could do.

I called American Home Shield and asked if they were not fixing the garage door. They said they cover the garage door opener but not the spring. I said that they covered it the last time and they said that they weren’t covering it now. They said they were taking my $100 copay for when they sent a guy out. I said I wanted to talk to a manager, so they sent me through to a voicemail. I left a message, but there was nothing. I called back again and left another message, and I’ve never heard back from him. And then they charged me the $100 a few days later, so now I paid $475 for a spring for my garage door.

The last time I called American Home Shield, I told them that when I called and explained the problem to them, they should have told me it wasn’t gonna be covered and the garage door company should’ve told me as well. No one said anything. American Home Shield just said they can take care of it. I’ve looked through coupons and other companies and there were tons of garage door coupons in mailers saying $150, $175 or $200. So, I’ve paid over double. I would not refer American Home Shield. It was really dishonest of them.

At first, the representative didn't try to give me any information and so how our conversation ended on Saturday was not so good. And then I had another representative call me on Monday and that one went great. I told them which company to get and the company didn't show in their system. But they found the company after I told them to look for those people. I've used the contractor company before and they are professional. And now, I've already referred one to American Home Shield.

American Home Shield got in touch with somebody about the hot water heater. They had to shut it down and get it out of the house. They had to put a new one in and it's operating quite satisfactory. I would recommend AHS.

The faucet really needed to be fixed because it was dripping a lot. Then, when I went to use the microwave oven, it gave out those statics very high and I thought there was something electric, so I didn't use again. I also thought that the water was not draining on the dishwasher and I was not using it. So, I called American Home Shield for the repair of those things and the claims rep I talked to was very nice. When the techs arrived, they were both excellent. The first one came to fix the faucet. He had everything, he knew what the problem was, and everything was done. The other tech came in for the dishwasher and the microwave oven. He did his work, was very professional, and had papers for me to sign. He also had a computer to look into different things. But it turned out that the microwave and dishwasher did not need any repair. Everything has been performing well since then.

I'm comfortable having a home warranty because in case I need something for repair, I only call AHS. In the past, I go to Home Depot or I call somebody that somebody told me to call. It's better to have one place to shop for those situations instead of going to Home Depot or call a friend. That way I know that when AHS sends somebody to my house they are professional people.

My air conditioner went out. It wasn't working properly. The bad thing was, it happened on a Friday and the techs couldn't come out until Monday. That always happens. But we were able to get that done. The tech was very knowledgeable and he had the part so he was able to fix it quickly. So it was good. But I had the most issue with my plumbing claim. Instead of replacing the whole faucet, the techs would only replace the handle. It's 16 years old and in my opinion, the whole thing needed to be replaced. I think they're just putting a band-aid on it then they will have to find a handle to replace it.

The other thing that happened was when the techs were trying to fix a leak, they broke the handle to my tub. And instead of replacing the whole thing, they were only gonna replace the handle. That meant I was gonna have to take another day off of work. They still haven't come out and replaced it because I still haven't been able to take another day off of work. I'm a school teacher and I'm waiting until this summer so I'll have another day in order to get that replaced. It's one of those things like a catch-22 with the warranty.

I love some of the things from American Home Shield and some of the things, I wish were better. One of the things I love was their quick response and overall, I am pleased with the service. I'd definitely recommend American Home Shield. My house is 16 years old and it's well worth the investment because you just never know at that point. I am a working, single female and so there's a lot of things I'm not able to do myself. American Home Shield is a nice security blanket for me that I can just go online, fill out whatever my issue is and that I know I'm gonna have a reputable company come out and fix whatever my problem is.

He answered questions about what was going on and he described everything that he was gonna do, the timing, and the parts that he was ordering. Originally, he thought that the problem had something to do with the tubing inside being blocked so water was coming out of the bottom of the dishwasher. But it turned out that one of the pumps on the bottom had sprung a leak so he had to repair that. He replaced a lot of the water system. Since the repair, everything has been working very well and the dishwasher is functioning 200% better than it was before. I was very satisfied with the experience. So far, having an American Home Shield warranty on my property has been very valuable.

I have been a member of AHS for over three years now and recently our refrigerator stopped working. I requested a service call online, and after being asked to identify the make and model of the refrigerator, received a service date to take place five days from the request. When the technician showed up, he took one look at the refrigerator and said that he needed to order some parts and I would be notified of another date when the parts would be installed. He was there less than five minutes (and I took a day off of work to wait for them). The next day I was given a new date for repair (scheduled a week later) and told to unplug my refrigerator at least 24 hours prior to the service, which meant removing all of my food both in the refrigerator and freezer.

When day that the scheduled service provider was scheduled to show up and make the repairs, (after I had once again taken another day of work off to be there), I received a phone call less than an hour before they were scheduled to arrive and told that all of the parts that were needed had mistakenly not been ordered and they needed to order the missing part and would need to reschedule the service for installation (which would not be until the following week). When I asked why the missing part could not be shipped overnight, so that the repair could take place the following day, they said that AHS was responsible for ordering the parts and that I would need to call them.

When I called AHS and explained the situation, they told me that there was nothing they could do because their policy was to not pay for expediting parts. When I explained that this was my refrigerator and that I had already unplugged the unit and removed all of the food from it, they once again stated that there was nothing that they could do because it was company policy. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, they said that none was available, and when I persisted, they stated that it was company policy that they were not allowed to transfer a customer to a supervisor, and that there was nothing that they could do.

So, basically what I heard was... "I understand that you have been inconvenienced on two occasions, and will be inconvenienced once again because of a mistake that we made when ordering the parts for your refrigerator. And that you have no way of keeping food cold or frozen due to the fact that we asked you to unplug your refrigerator for the repair to be made, which now cannot be made for yet another week. But that's company policy and we really are not willing to even consider working with you to come to some sort of accommodation to help you during this time, even if it means making an exception to have the missing part (which we forgot to order the first time) shipped next day. If you don't like it, that really not our problem or concern. Have a nice day." To say that I am pissed is an understatement.

My experience with American Home Shield so far has been great and we're really happy with it. I am very pleased because we had gone with another home warranty company earlier and American Home Shield is much better. American Home Shield was recommended by the realtor who sold us our place as well as the gentleman who was the occupant before.

We had just moved into our place in the middle of December and just months ago, the microwave went out. I initially did the claim process over the phone because I wanted to connect with a human, but I got the actual confirmation and such in my email. American Home Shield sent somebody out to look at the microwave, and apparently, the part called magnometer had gone out. They had to order it and then they came and installed it in about a week or two. That was great, and it was so easy and so smooth. Also, the people who came out were super, very personable, and very convenient. The performance of the appliance has been perfect since it was fixed and everything is working fine.

We've tried to fix ONE item in our house, our Whirlpool bathtub. They sent out a plumber, who said we needed an electrician (the tub pump wouldn't shut off). The electrician said he couldn't fix it either. We were billed $75 for each service visit, paid one of these and AHS promised to waive the second one. THEN they scheduled the SAME plumber and the SAME electrician to come back out again, and charged us $75 for each visit. We intercepted the plumber and canceled the appointment. The electrician refused to come out again as he knew it was a waste of his time. AHS promised to remove both charges for workmen who never came to our house.

After a month and five long telephone contacts, the issue has not yet been resolved. First they removed one charge. Then they removed the other charge and reinstated the first charge! All the while, the website is useless for actually showing what is going on, and we continue to get "overdue" notices weekly! Final tally so far: we paid 3 $40 monthly fees and a $75 service charge (total $195) and we still have a broken tub, and have spent WAY too many hours on the phone.

I was having a problem with the heat and apparently, the heat pump and a sensor were not working properly. I submitted the claim online to AHS and the process was very good and easy. They sent out On Time Plumbing and Heating but the techs didn't know what they were doing. They said that it was a blown fuse so they replaced the fuse and left. And so when the next time that the heat came on, which they didn't test, the fuse blew again. We had to call again and they came out, and they changed the fuse. They tightened up a wire and then they fused the 3 amp fuse out for a 5 amp fuse. And that apparently was not what the problem was. The next time that the tech came on, it blew again so we submitted another claim online. They came back again and they didn't bother to try the heat on and they left. It never worked from that point.

Since it was still an open claim and since it was the weekend, there was no way to get a hold of anybody and ask AHS to send me a different contractor. At that point I was done and I was like, "Okay, they don't know what they're doing. They need to send somebody who does." And that's the only problem I have with the online process. Over the weekend or after office hours, if you have an open claim and you're not happy with the contractor, you're not getting ahold of anybody. We had an electrical issue some time ago and everything was wonderful. And I had not encountered this before. It was kinda like a perfect storm of everything. When I was able to get a hold of them Monday morning, they said, "Well, we can't ask for another contractor unless that contractor tells us that they don't know what the problem is." And I that was not okay with me. But they called me back and said that contractor said they didn't know what the problem is.

Then, we got Budget Plumbing & Heating. When I checked On Time Plumbing, they had great ratings on Google, and they did a terrible job. And then I checked the Google ratings on Budget Plumbing and they were not so good and I was like, "Okay not good ratings, maybe they'll do a great job." They came out and they did a great job. My mother was here and I was at work. They explained everything they were doing. They tracked down the original problem, which was with the sensor and the heat pump, which On Time Plumbing never even have seen or looked at. Budget Plumbing seemed to know that was what it was, but when I described everything to them over the phone, they said, "I think it's in the heat pump, that's the first place I'm gonna check." And sure enough, that was where it was.

They went out and fixed that and they came inside. They replaced the 5 amp fuse with a 3 amp fuse and said, "Nobody should ever put a 5 amp fuse in that unit, it's not rated for it. That could cause a house fire." And then because of that, a transformer had blown. They had to repair two things that were actually caused by On Time Plumbing. I don't ever want On Time Plumbing ever again and I will take Budget Plumbing. Somebody should put them in my file and say, "She only wants them."

My son who works for Roto-Rooter and is not a plumber yet, but is working on being a master plumber, came out. And when he was talking with the people from Budget Plumbing, they said, "Oh, On Time Plumbing used to be A & D Plumbing. But their ratings were so bad and their reviews were also bad that no one was using them and they were going out of business so they changed their name." And my son just went, "Oh my gosh, I've had to follow up and fix stuff they've done before mom." And so he said we should never ever have On Time Plumbing.

I'm a nice person and my mom is a wonderful person. And we are able to survive but if it was somebody that has a serious health issue that required a certain level of temperature or somebody who had anxiety issues, I'm glad that it was us and not someone with real problems who would've ended up being sick. I'm hoping that the horrible review I left for On Time Plumbing will tell American Home Shield not to ever use them for anybody. Other than that, if AHS can fix the weekend issue, I won't have anything to complain about. Because I understand that there are contractors who aren't what they say what they are.

The representative was alright but the vendors that they had given us a couple of them have been really bad and I actually complained about them.

The guy didn't come out and finish the work and I told him what had to be done on the toilet. He claimed that wasn't on the work order, he had no time to do it and had to reschedule. He was very belligerent and left. And I had to reschedule and have him come out and fix another item that should've been fixed initially. So I was very disappointed with the service provided by the plumbing vendor that was provided to us.

AHS told the guy to come back out and fix it and that's what he did. But I shouldn't have to go into that lengthy process. It should've been fixed the first time. But other people they've sent out on other items have been good. And I haven't had a problem with their customer service people. The customer service people have always been very polite and taken care of our needs. It's just when they refer out the vendors is when we had the issue. We also have to wait to get them to answer the calls. If you don't have an inside number you could be on the phone for quite a while on hold.

We had a water leak recently in the shutoff valve manifold systems for the house and I was amazed at the company American Home Shield sent out. It was After Hours Plumbing and Heating, and they're one of the most reputable plumbers in the Wenatchee Valley. They got out so quick and they even called when they got here. They called again when they did a diagnosis. And then they called me to say what they were gonna do and approximately how long it would take to get the parts in since they had to be ordered. Lastly, they called when they told me the parts were coming in and when it was scheduled to be done. Since the repair, the shutoff valve manifold systems is not leaking anymore. They were very neat and tidy as well.

While the contractor AHS sent out did a good job of tying the new manifold into the existing plumbing, the first time we had a claim for the kitchen stove right after we bought the house was a horrible experience. For all practical purposes, it was a pain anyway. But the range was a downdraft and they don't make them anymore. The ones they do are quite expensive. And what happened was that they had the technician out quickly but he told us he couldn't get the parts. It took a week for American Home Shield to finally get back to us and say they couldn't get the parts because of age.

And they wanted to pull the old control board and send it in for repair. So that took another couple of weeks for them to have it removed and sent in. And then it took three weeks for it to get back. Meanwhile, we had no kitchen stove the whole time. When we got it back, it went out again the first time I used it. They said they would go ahead and replace it. Although, we decided not to replace because we didn't want a downdraft. It took another three weeks to get a cash-out option and buy another range. And then a couple of more weeks to get reimbursed for it. It was a long, drawn-out process that was very aggravating.

The second time we filed a claim was in the winter. It was projected to be in the low 20 that night and suddenly, our furnace stopped working. American Home Shield had somebody out within a couple of hours and got the furnace up and running. That was all we needed at the moment and it saved us from having any other problems until I could get the thermostat replaced. Overall, I'm happy with American Home Shield. They've done a good job the last couple of times. And the last couple of times have been more important than anything else.

The first time he came out, I was talking to him when he was looking at the dryer. All of the material was there for the exhaust, but someone had unhooked it prior to me moving in. So, I told him the dryer didn’t work and he was like, “Well, what’s wrong with it?” I said it didn't work and then he asked me something else. I said, “This is not my line of work. I don’t do this. If I did, I would’ve fixed it myself.” And then as far as the exhaust he said, “Well, I’m not going to do that. You got to do that yourself.” And it was the way that he said it. In my mind, if you’re going to repair the dryer, then you’re gonna hook the exhaust up to it. But if that’s not what you do, then you don’t have to be nasty about it.

They had to order a part and when the part came in, I didn’t receive a call. That was a little lengthy, waiting for that period. But when he came, the range was unplugged because of the part that it needed. It kept causing the stove to beep. And so, we would have to plug it up each time we wanted to light the pilot, and then unplug it. So, after that was repaired, he pushed the stove back and prepared to plug it up all the way up top, when it was apparent that that’s not where you’re supposed to plug a stove up. It was only like that because it needed to be repaired. I just had a contractor put in a new receptacle where the stove is supposed to be plugged up at the bottom.

He didn’t even have it all the way pushed in. He had just plugged it in and was pushing the stove back. I said, “Can you pull it the rest of the way out and plug it up at the bottom where it’s supposed to go, please?” I said it real politely. He said, “You’re asking for too much.” Then I said, “Pull the stove back out and I will do it myself. I’ll plug it up where it’s supposed to be.” And that’s what I did. Then he said, “Well, I didn’t want to climb on top of your cabinet, I’m too big.” But he didn’t have to climb on top of the cabinet to do it. The plug is just above the floor level and he had it plugged up all the way up top where the GFI goes. Maybe that’s just how he is, but that’s not always acceptable.

He was efficient and the unit has been working since. AHS gives us peace of mind to know that we are getting a good service. It definitely worked well. I’m very happy at the moment.

My air conditioner wasn’t working and I put a claim in online. And I thought the website navigation was good. Then almost immediately, I got a phone call from a local repair shop. The technicians came out within a reasonable time, I think a day or two, and told me what was wrong and what it would cost me to fix it. Then they had to put a claim in or talk to the people at Home Shield. And within a week, it was fixed. If this happened in the summertime, that would not be reasonable. The technicians were friendly and very professional, and did the work in a timely manner. They probably could’ve fixed it in a faster way if they would’ve had the part but they didn’t have the part, they said. AHS did a good job and my house is very cool now. I had to pay a little more money than I thought I would have to, but nobody reads all 50 pages of the contract.

I see American Home Shield all the time and I thought why don't I have a home warranty. I have been so impressed with everything including the customer service both on the phone, the website, and the ease to use it. I love them all. They did some work on my dishwasher. It started as a small appliance repair. And the repair person that was doing the dishwasher repair said that they couldn't work on the plumbing part of it and the valve needed to be replaced. So they called in a plumber to fix the valve in the water line. Everyone has been great, even the contractors they send out. All the experience, all the way around, has been amazing. And I have referred AHS to quite a few people.

So far, I've had positive experiences with AHS. I filed a claim for our furnace and when the guys came out, they told me that it was operating well. They noticed a humidifier attached to the furnace but, for whatever reason, they did not test whether or not the humidifier worked. They asked if we use it and I said we don't. We were selling our condo and when the buyer’s inspectors came out, they asked about that and I wasn’t able to provide them any information on the humidifier, which was a little disappointing. I guess AHS doesn’t cover humidifiers.

I bought a house up here in McAlester and some of the vents and the ducts ran to the floor. We were looking at doing it up to the attic to get it out of the floor. Moreover, some of the metal stuff is just old. I didn’t know if AHS covered that or not, but I thought it was worth a shot before I went and spent $5000 or $6000. I submitted the claim online and then, the contractor called me back and priced it at $7000. But I already had a price for $3000 from another guy. The contractor never even came out to look and see if it was something they would do. If it wasn’t $400 a year with American Home Shield, I would’ve just told them I wanted to cancel and get rid of it.

I’m not a big fan of their process. I like talking to people instead of trying to do things online. They cover what they cover, but they need to make it a little bit easier on how they’re doing their claims. I had to put everything in online and with what they give you as options, it’s hard to explain some of the issues you may be having. Then you don’t hear from them until the contractor calls you and you end paying $100 for something that they might not cover. One time, I had them fix my hot water tank. The contractors they sent were good folks but you could tell that it was a family type of deal. They were not a topnotch name which is cheaper labor for AHS. But overall, my experience with AHS has been okay. The problem is not necessarily with them but with the contractors. I would tell others to go get AHS if they are willing to put up with it.

My oven's temperature would not regulate and after I submitted a claim online with American Home Shield, they sent out someone from a company called Mr. Care. The tech quickly decided that it needed a thermostat and a temperature controller so they had to order parts. He left and then I got a call that said the thermostat was no longer being manufactured but that they could get it refurbished. They ordered the part for the igniter for the boiler and they were to come out and remove the thermostat for refurbishment.

The man came out and he had the igniter but he did not know how to put it in. And as far as the thermostat, he didn’t know how to take that out as well. He said they have somebody with their company who has more experience with ovens and they would sent that person out. But when that person came out, he also didn’t know what to do. He couldn’t take out the part that needed to be refurbished and he couldn’t install the part that needed to be replaced. So he said that they were going to call American Home Shield and suggest that they send somebody else out because no one with their company knew how to work on this oven.

I got a call yesterday and it was from a guy from Sears who said he was coming out to work on my oven. I had heard nothing about Sears from American Home Shield. American Home Shield had sent me an email saying someone from Pinnacle Appliance Repair would be coming out instead. I called American Home Shield and the individual I spoke with checked the records and said the Sears person is supposed to be coming out. I told that rep that I don’t need both people to come out so they should cancel the one from Pinnacle.

The Sears guy got here and took some measurements. He spent a little more time than the others did but he ended up saying that the thermostat is a problem on regulating the temperature. He also said Sears does not refurbish. He left with a recommendation saying he will recommend to American Home Shield that they replace my oven. That was yesterday and I am anxiously waiting for a call from American Home Shield to tell me what's the next step. I still have an oven that’s not working, however, I've had other things happened with American Home Shield that they have taken care of very well.

That’s exactly what it was. AHS realized that and the third time, they sent a new company out and they didn’t charge me. American Home Shield usually works pretty good. They send people out on a regular basis and they try to get the work done right. One time, my washing machine wasn’t working. I thought the circuit breaker was dead and it was something electrical but it wasn’t. It was an outlet that was bad on the wall right by the washing machine. I called in to submit a claim like I usually do and it was hard to get through. But the reps that I spoke with were very nice and they set up the appointment with the contractor for me. They sent an email for the technician to get in touch with me and the technician called me. A lot of times, if something was wrong, I would get the phone number and call the contractor first. But for this claim, it was the technician who called me first and it worked out fine.

The technician that was sent out initially told me that it was the outlet in the wall that was dead and we had to tear out the wall. But he fixed it without having to do all of that. He just scared the bejeebers out of me for nothing so I wasn’t that crazy about that guy. But most of the contractors who came out here were good and I didn't have any real problems with anybody. But I had a problem with American Home Shield concerning the sewage at my house when I went round and round with the plumbers. Some of the plumbers had some lies told about the issue and it was a really big mess. And as it turned out, they weren’t gonna fix the problem. So, I wasn’t happy at all with American Home Shield for that and I wasn’t happy with the technician that came out.

At another time, the heater inside my house was dirty and American Home Shield wouldn’t repair it because it hadn’t been cleaned. So I told American Home Shield to get back to me for the contractor to do it. Then something went wrong with the heater on the side of my house and American Home Shield said it wasn’t installed right and they wouldn’t fix that. That meant I had to spend extra money on the repair and I had to spend some more to get the inspection done. So, I had my issues from time to time but I worked it out and I didn’t want to see if somebody else was going to be better so I stayed with American Home Shield.

They're not a bad company and as far as I can see, they work with reputable people usually. But like all companies that are large, they’re only going by what the repair people say. The customer has something to say, too, but whatever it is, it’s the technician who’s always gonna understand what's to be done or not to be done and they have the final say on whatever it is. American Home Shield runs by company rules and that’s the best I could say about them. I would also recommend them.

The woman that lived in this house before me had American Home Shield and the warranty came with the house when I bought it. When I first used it, I could call up and it was before the internet was very popular. Then they said I could go on the internet to submit my claims. But when I have something going on, I wanna talk to a real person. I could still do that, so that's good. But a lot of times, when I called, they'd say I could go online. Other than that, they were all very nice and my interactions with them were excellent. They also tried to get me someone as soon as possible.

Several years ago, my air conditioner broke and American Home Shield said that they would replace it. It was an old unit and the fluid that they used in the air conditioner system was going out of stock. I figured if my air conditioner was going, my heater was going to go as well. They said there was nothing wrong with my heater as of yet but I said I would really like to replace them both. They said I could go out of the American Home Shield system if I liked and find somebody to do the work. Then they would pay for the air conditioner part. I would have to pay for the heater to get a new system and they said that all I had to do was submit a bill once I got the work done so that they could send me a check. It was totally understandable. They were very understanding and really kind about it.

I also had a previous problem with my heater and at the time, I was going away. Rich, the gentleman that came out, was quite knowledgeable but he did not have the part on his truck. He said it would take three to five business days but I told him that was not gonna work and I wanted to see it get fixed before I go. So they were kind enough to overnight it and I had to pay for the extra shipping which was not a problem. They said American Home Shield didn't cover that but it was just regular shipping. So the part came, Rich came out, he fixed it, and I was flying out the next day knowing that everything was okay. Rich bent over backwards to try and make sure everything was working properly especially because I was leaving and I thanked him profusely.

Recently, the faucet and the tub were dripping. So, I called AHS and they sent a gentleman out. He put a new gasket on the faucet but he did not replace the thing that fits behind the faucet screw. It's the one you turn on and off and it wasn't flushed against the wall like it had been. So I called them back and said something was a mess. My fixtures are older and sometimes younger plumbers are not overly familiar with them. And I totally understand that because my husband used to be a plumber and it was not a big problem. I told them that the young man didn't know this type of thing, so they promptly sent out someone else. They wanted to send the second young man out a little earlier, but I wasn't going to be home. They were ready to send him out the next day though and that was nice. When he came out, he was more familiar with the issue and he fixed it immediately. Everything was hunky-dory after that.

All in all, I really like American Home Shield and I'm very happy with them. I even told done of my friends about them. They're exceptionally helpful and they try their best to fix your problem. If there is a problem after it's fixed, they will come out and try and re-evaluate the problem and fix it again. And there's is no extra charge for a second visit within a certain amount of time.

The valves were leaking in both the hot and cold shower. They were the original equipment and were old brass fittings where everything had worn out. I tried to do some work on it myself. I replaced some of the handles and tried to tighten them down because even the handles themselves weren't the original equipment and they were clamps that held those in place and had strips. Unfortunately, they were knobby on what the grips were. They ripped through the older fashion handles so I had to use some adapters which didn’t quite fit and we found out that it required more tightening. That just seemed to hold it for a little while but as the leaks continued, that's when I filed the claim with American Home Shield.

I went on the web and the claims process was only a few steps to do that. For the situation itself, there wasn’t anything specific so I had to choose the best fit from the categories. I added some additional notes in there because it was generic for plumbing. That was for the plumber's benefit so when he'd come out here, he'd have better information as to what the issue was. I filed the claim on a Saturday and I got a call back on Monday. My wife, unfortunately, missed the call on Monday, so I called them back and was able to reschedule two days later which was fine.

My wife was there when the plumber arrived. He was a nice guy and did a great job. He took a look at the valves and he was able to change them out right then and there. My wife tested the shower handles and there was a slight leak. He got that part fixed up again and everything has been working well since then. I'm very happy with it, it was wonderful and I'm very satisfied with my experience with AHS.

Eventually, I figured out that when I turned my main off to my condo, that the sound would stop so I knew it was a leak somewhere and I could pinpoint where the sound was coming from. I went online to file a claim on American Home Shield's site and it was very simple. I filled the claim form out and within a few minutes, I got a text saying I would be hearing from the name of a company they gave me and that they would be calling to schedule an appointment.

The contractor gave me a window and said if they could get out sooner, the plumber would come. They would give me a text and let me know when he was on his way. I got a text where it could track and it said, "We're on the way." And then I could track to see where the plumber was. The gentleman came early then I explained the problem to him and he tested to make sure. He cut a little hole in the wall and there was a leak right there. He pinpointed it right away and didn’t have to cut a bunch of holes. He was very friendly and also explained to me what usually happens and that I should leave the hole open for a while so that it could air out any wetness so it didn’t mold out. He knew exactly what he was doing and got it done quickly and so, all went smoothly.

But I still haven’t called back to see if they’re going to supply somebody to put the drywall patch in that hole because I had left it open. Right now, the weather is warm here so I wanna make sure it gets all dried out in there. The plumber explained to me that they don't do the finish, but they should do the patching and that’s fine. My aunt recommended AHS to me so going into it, I had an expectation that they would be really good and they have totally lived up to that so far so I’m happy and I would recommend them.

I like talking to people to know when the repair is gonna happen or when things are due. Trying to call in, however, is a little bit difficult sometimes.

I had my AC unit fixed by ACC Heating and Air and I’m not too impressed with those guys. I don’t know whether it’s the language barrier of some of the people American Home Shield sends out or if these people are doing things by the book. I stood outside and watched the contractor do their service and it didn’t seem like they were doing what they were supposed to do. I also felt like they were overcharging me. They were supposed to put in 12 lbs. of freon and I only saw them put in four lbs., so I was not too happy about that. Things like that bothered me but I could not prove it because I was not there the entire time as there were times when the technician sent me inside to help with something. Also, when a contractor comes out and he does not have his tools, that concerns me. I had to go buy a $60 tool just to pull caps off the AC adapter myself.

I hope ACC Heating and Air got the AC fixed because I have not been running it yet to find out. But for American Home Shield to only give me 60 days to see if it is still leaking, that is a short time. It can take four to six months of running it constantly to deplete all the freon in the system. So, 60 days is a tough number if I can’t monitor the reading from the panel. There’s no way to know if it is losing freon and there is no follow up on something that is that expensive for $800 to fill it back up. American Home Shield does not come out and do a maintenance test to make sure that there is nothing wrong, while I know other home warranty companies that actually do that.

Sometimes I’m trying to find out what all of my policy covers and that is difficult because American Home Shield really does not sell it out and I got to dig or call to find out. So, they could update that a little bit. That way, I know what I'm having to pay for and what I'm not. My experience with American Home Shield is also all about who they send. I don’t have any issues with American Home Shield, but I would not recommend ACC to anybody.

I have had AHS coverage on multiple homes and constantly AHS will figure ways to either refuse to pay for repairs or define part of the repair not covered. In San Francisco if you call for a plumber the person who arrives is in a suit looks at the damage says "I will get back to you" and never does a plumber arrive. In Las Vegas the plumber shows up and in one case says, "I will be back when AHS authorized it." The issue was a hot water heater. The problem is AHS does not pay for installation, eg, welding the copper water line to the water heater, they call that weld a modification.

In a 2nd case after two separate plumbers did repairs AHS said the toilet was damaged by someone standing on it so the replacement was not covered, could the damage have been caused by the plumber sitting on it during the repairs, but again AHS is happy to take your money, charge you a service fee, and then deny the claim. In the last incident the leak was inside the house but since the water line was to an external faucet AHS said it was not covered. Before they denied the claim the plumber told me that AHS would not pay for drilling thru wood to reach the pipe, what happens if you have a log home or wood walls. Again another AHS gotcha.

So my recommendation is never give money to AHS and if you have their warranty make sure you contact the trade directly since info they provide to the trade may not be what you state. Eg. My last call was water flooding my main floor and the work order said leak and AHS did not consider it an emergency or prioity call. Nothing is important to AHS except the premium and the service fee, beware.

AHS is supposed to contact me for replacement options. It has been more than a week and we still have not heard from American Home Shield as to what we should do. We called customer service and they tried connecting us with the replacement department, however, I have been placed on very long hold, already been holding for over an hour and don't know how long it will take. They don't tell how long is the hold time. What should we do? House is without working washer for 2 weeks!!! We have been paying AHS for over 5 years without really needing much repairs.

Do not do business with this company. You will schedule the service you need online & then they will send some joke of a company out to attempt the repair. I needed a washing machine issue diagnosed & fixed, so I scheduled a repair online. AHS scheduled an air conditioning company to come out & when I checked their review & website...Wow! They were a complete joke of a company. So I attempted to call AHS & guess what, you sit on-hold for over an hour, but closer to an hour & a half wait time. I attempted multiple times to reach them & was unsuccessful. So after reading that many others have had the same issue, the suggestion from those people was to stop payment to AHS. That got their attention, my phone would not stop ringing, so I answered & told the gal of my issues & that I wanted to cancel my subscription to which she agreed. Now I have a collection agency calling to collect the payment. STAY AWAY FROM AHS!!!

Do not use AHS! I have used them in the past without any issues, but what a waste of my money. I reported a dishwasher issue within the month I purchased my home in August 2017. I paid $75.00 for a certified repairman to come out. He diagnosed my 12 year old dishwasher needing a few parts, so he would order them. I have records of calling every other month to be told my parts are on backorder and should arrive in December. The call I had in December 2017, said they would elevate my request since I have been without a dishwasher for several months and the parts were still on backorder. I never received a call, no surprise. I called back in January 2018 only to be told the agent told me the wrong thing again the parts are still backordered and nothing I can do since the dishwasher is repairable. I am currently still out of a dishwasher after after 9 months now.

I called again last month only to be told it's been over six months. I need to pay to have a repairman come out again $75.00. Ugh... I threw a fit and they waved the one time fee for them to come out again for the same issue and I needed to call GE appliance myself to schedule the appointment. I called GE appliance to schedule the appointment and was told that only AHS is the only person that can schedule an appointment with them. Ugh... The amount of times wasted being told the wrong thing it's ridiculous. I just called again today and my anger has driven me to write a review, which I have never done. I was told the parts are still on backorder and will arrive June 30th and July 30th. How convenient, when my contract ends at the end of August 2018. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told they have no one there. AHS customer service person can only escalate problems to the service support team which is just under a supervisor.

So, while waiting for the service support team number or email or anything to send in my concerns... their system goes down and they will have to call me back. Well, I'm not holding my breath. I have been 9 months without a dishwasher now. Do not buy this plan! I plan to research other companies if I decide to continue with a home protection company.

My husband is a realtor and has bought home warranties for clients through this company. When we purchased our home, we decided we should purchase one for us just in case. He'd been using this company for his clients so naturally we went with AHS. Well, what a mistake that was. Last month our washing machine quit on us. As you can imagine for a family of 5, this is a big inconvenience. When my husband submitted the claim we were told it was going to take over a week for someone to even come out and look at the issue. I was frustrated about that but, I rolled with it. The repairman came out as scheduled. He was very nice and extremely professional and knowledgeable.

After evaluating my washer he told me that almost every single original part needed to be replaced on the unit. He explained that if AHS chose to repair it, there would only be 2 original parts left. He said he was going to recommend the washer be replaced given the amount of parts and labor involved. Well, after 5 days my husband called the repair place and asked if they heard anything. They hadn't so the person very nicely reached out to AHS to find out the status. At that point she was told that it hadn't been looked at but they would do it asap. Later on she called and informed us that AHS decided that they want him to fix the unit. So, now they have to order all of the parts. Some of them can only be obtained by the manufacturer and it took over a week to get all the parts in.

The repairman came back out 2 weeks after his initial visit. He had all the parts and spent 3 or so solid hours fixing everything. When he went to test it, the washer still wasn't working. He figures out the control panel went. He apologizes and said he will rush the part and squeeze us in 2 days later. I was very appreciative. So he comes back out at night, most likely after normal hours, and spends another good hour fixing that. When he was done he started the washer and realizes that the drum has a significant leak. The drum was brand new out of the box and it's all 1 unit so it's nothing the repairman did. I saw the box and the part when he has installed it. I know a defective part is not the fault of AHS.

But, I am extremely frustrated with the overall experience at this point. First, the lack of urgency that AHS displays to its customers, even after the issue is diagnosed. Secondly, the fact that someone sitting behind a computer screen disregarded the advice of an experienced professional repairman who advised that this unit should be completely replaced. And third, the lack of communication that AHS has with the US the end customer. The only reason we know as much as we do about the status of our claim is the excellent customer service of the Repair company, who has been very sympathetic and has done all they could to help this along. Even they were very surprised that AHS decided to fix the unit given there was so much wrong with it.

After all this, there is only 1 original operational part on this washing machine (the buttons) and it is STILL not working because one of the new parts is crap. It's been a month now. We've spent close to $150 on going to the laundry mat and have to dish out more. If I knew the process was going to be like this, we would never have spent the amount of money we did to purchase this warranty. I can say with confidence, if I'd done this privately I would have had to pay for the service call and the repairman would have said get a new washer and I would have had a new washer over 2 weeks ago. I still don't know what is going to happen as we haven't heard a word about whether or not they are going to replace this part again (which needs to be ordered from the manufacturer and will probably take another week) or if they are just going to replace it. And honestly, I have no faith that it will work if they do decide to repair the drum again.

I am beyond dissatisfied with how AHS conducts business. My husband will be researching new Home Warranty companies for his clients. A home warranty is supposed to be there to help the customer when something goes wrong. It should not cause stress and worry. I wish I'd read all of the reviews which I just read of all of the negative experiences people have had with this company. My husband and I bought this warranty thinking it would be helpful if we were ever in a time of need and it's caused more stress and aggravation. We have used warranties on other types of services with MUCH success. I truly hope there are other reputable stand-up home warranty companies out there. AHS will eventually be losing us as a customer as well as countless new customers as my husband will no longer be using or referring them in his Real Estate Business.

We were told no reimbursement because we did not follow protocol of getting pre-approved. Impossible to do so because AHS does not make it easy to get someone on the phone at 10pm and needed a plumber emergency. Customer service was unpleasant to deal with. The plumber that they sent was trying to replace the fittings on the top of my water heater and I told him that it was not the problem. The top of my tank was rusted out and that's why it was leaking and the plumber thought it was the fitting. So he wasted time on that. I called the plumbers again and they ended up replacing everything without charging me the second time because they recognized that it was something they should have fixed in the first place. I would definitely recommend AHS.

However, by that time, I was without water for half a weekend already so I was not very happy. But the contractor who came was great. He was very personable. He explained what he was doing, and took care of business, and was able to get water flowing back into the house.

Still, I’m becoming dissatisfied with AHS and I'm contemplating seeing if there is another company that does the same thing. I used to think that their warranty was extremely valuable, but not anymore. I’m just becoming disgruntled. They should hire people who want to work with people as far as their customer representatives. I do not want to be blown off and to be talked to rudely. I’m already having enough problems if I have to call.

I have about five houses with American Home Shield and I started January 17th. But at this point, I'm gonna go with someone else. They started out great, but it's waning and I'm disappointed. My house on Baltimore Street had a plumbing issue and when the plumber came, he said that he didn't have the necessary tools to unstop the plumbing, yet I was charged a service fee for it. Normally American Home Shield would call and ask how the service was, but for this one, they didn't. I was annoyed because I paid for a service that I did not receive. I just got an outside contractor to come in and take care of the issue.

I was also extremely disappointed with the incident I had with my house on Washington Street. The person that they sent was very hostile and came off with racial slurs and very condescending remarks. We had to ask this person to leave. Then when I was trying to get a follow-up, I never got one from them even when I wrote my response back. American Home Shield just kinda avoided me. So, I cancelled the warranty on that house. I am also in the process of cancelling the warranty on my other homes because I'm finding that the service is not meeting my expectations.

Metro-Air does maintenance on my air conditioning unit. American Home Shield had sent them out to me years ago and I like them that's why I stuck with them to do my maintenance that I have to pay for. The warranty company doesn’t pay for maintenance. One time, when I turned my AC unit on, it wasn't cooling and I could hear the unit making a sound that I had never heard before. So when Metro-Air came for the maintenance, I told their tech about it and when he checked it, he said that I needed a motor and that I needed to call my warranty company, so I called AHS. I told them that Metro-Air had seen the unit, had assessed what was going on, and they told me that I needed a new motor. Everything was fine in putting the motor in, and now the air is cold. I’m satisfied. AHS does what they are supposed to do.
