My wife’s washing machine acted up so I called AHS and gave my credit card number and paid them $108. A guy came out the next afternoon, fixed it and went on about his business. He was very nice, very clean and very knowledgeable. My wife and I are happy about it.

American Home Shield's representatives were very helpful. They gave me my options and I lined up the person to come, and they told me that the person would be giving me a callback within a couple days. And he called on his way out, which was the way he was supposed to do it. And he came out, and I ended up having to pay a little bit extra because there were two more locks than we originally needed to be done, but that was not a problem. I paid him on the spot, and he was in and out in 30 minutes. The repair made our home safer. We had just bought the house and a lot of people had keys. The process of submitting a claim with American Home Shield has been simple, and if it's something that’s covered, it's definitely worth the money.
Thanks for providing your feedback Thomas. We appreciate you being apart of the AHS family. Have an amazing weekend.

American Home Shield is great. The only problem I have is trying to call and getting through them. But it has been better since there is an automated system so I don’t worry about talking to anybody. There was a time when my garage door would keep going up. I would let it down and when I came home, it would be wide open or I would get ready to go and it would come down then it would take itself right back up. When I first called American Home Shield, I ended up having to cancel the scheduled appointment then when I rescheduled, Edelen’s Door & Window came out. They fixed it and so far, it’s doing good.
When the contractor got ready to quote me how much it was, he said that it was not through American Home Shield. I found out that I should not have called them directly at all. But we got it straightened out. They called American Home Shield, submitted every page, and American Home Shield called me to verify the repair. So next time I'll just go directly to American Home Shield for everything.

There was water backing up from under the toilet and we thought it was a stoppage. I called American Home Shield to submit a claim for that and the experience with the rep who I spoke to was good. The plumbing company, Turbo Rotter, called me to set something up within an hour. It was the same company that I had last month. The contractor was supposed to come the next day, but then he called me back 20 minutes later. He had a cancellation and so he was able to come out within a half hour after that. The experience with the contractor was good. We have septic and we had a lot of rains. The contractor explained what was going on and that it wasn't a reoccurring issue but a new issue. And he went through and explained what they need to do and what the cost would be.

We bought a new house. I had a few things done and one of them was a rekey for new locks. STR Realty Rekey came out and they were very professional, helpful and did exactly what we asked. I called ahead of time and I had a couple of questions about different locks they had and they gave me some advice that if you want universal keys basically to go buy a certain lock. There was a certain brand to make sure all that was done. I submitted that claim online to AHS and the website was very easy to navigate. I've done it twice now since I've been a customer of AHS. However, I did have another incident that I was not happy with the resolution. It was a little fine print that they kind of threw at me that I thought should have been covered.

I filed a claim with American Home Shield for a light switch that didn’t work. A guy came out and looked at it, and he figured out that we needed to get a new ballast so he ordered the part. But the contractor never completed the job because I got a call saying that the issue wasn’t covered and so the guy was not gonna come back.

It took American Home Shield a week to get a technician out for our air conditioner upstairs. It was the first available time that the technician had. The technician was very nice and knowledgeable, but he did not communicate at all. It was really frustrating because it took almost a month to get our AC working and it was really hot. The technician was waiting on a part, but I was calling and because they were booking so far out, I was trying to go ahead and get on the schedule, so that when the part arrived, it wasn’t another week before they could come out. And he never responded to my calls. I called and left probably a dozen messages over the course of two and a half weeks and never heard back from him. But when I got American Home Shield involved, I heard back from them almost immediately. American Home Shield was great.

I had an A/C problem. I submitted a claim online with AHS and they sent a tech out. He said that it had a blown fuse, so he replaced it right away. The unit is 17 years old and it had to be replaced. And AHS said that they wouldn't cover that unless it was completely out. But as long as I kept putting the fuse in there, it would keep working. There was no sense in that and it was going to be costly every time I called AHS for that, which was about every three weeks or so. So, I replaced the whole thing.
Other than that, filing a claim with AHS was easy. We just paid our 75 bucks then they told us who would be coming out. Still, I wished they covered my air conditioner or at least part of it. Right now, I'm looking around to see if there's somebody out there that would cover a major thing like that without it going completely out and without having to replace a fuse every time. I would also tell my friends about this experience and more than likely advise them to try to find somebody else.
Good morning, Marcelino. You are correct, your unit would have to be non-functional and deemed unrepairable in order for us to replace that unit. I do show a few A/C work orders over the past years but luckily, there have not been work orders placed every year. A Social Media Specialist will be in contact with you to further discuss your situation.

My recent issue was with the gas leak in the furnace. I filed a claim to American Home Shield online and the website was very clear and concise. The techs were able to come in as quickly and resolve the issue by fixing a lot of points for the leaks. They were great. They were very kind and informative. American Home Shield is a great service to have in terms of being secure for issues around the house.

On the very first day that we had hot, humid weather, we had our AC on and running but halfway through the day it just quit. The first company that American Home Shield got a hold of called me and said they can schedule me two weeks from that day. I told them to put me on their schedule, but I also told them that they can get cancelled because I was gonna make a phone call. So then I called AHS back and they found another contractor that could come out that day. The tech from J&A South Park was in and out and just hurried. It didn’t seem like he wanted to be there but that was fine. It was the end of his day, so I’m sure he was trying to go home. He did what he had to do and got the job done. The AC seems to be running as it should now. And so, I would always tell people to buy a warranty whether it’s a car or a house.

I did an online claim with American Home Shield for my clothes dryer. Compared to a couple of years ago, they've updated their online site and it's now quicker and more focused. But there were times when I made a request online and no one called me within a couple of days or so, and I had to file the request again. But most of the time, someone responded and came through, and appeared satisfactory. The service and my interactions with the contractor were great. The serviceman that came out has been coming out for a couple of years so I know him. He’s very friendly and professional, and he does his job well. The dryer has been working well since the repair. I’ve recommended American Home Shield in the past month or so because of their reliability. They get the job done.

I've been with AHS for five years now and they’ve done a super duper job. I then had a problem with my AC. It was the first time that I've had a problem with it. We do our claims on their automatic thing through the computer and in less than a minute they click and they send me somebody. It's very fast. The guy who came out for the AC was wonderful. The first time he came, he wasn't able to fix the unit because he didn't know the root of the problem. It's been cool in California so it wasn't so bad but then all of a sudden it warmed up to almost in the hundreds. So I called the guy who would come out and when I got ahold of him he told me to call American Home Shield and I did. They then gave me a new service guy who we waited for five weeks and I had to call AHS twice, but he came out and fixed the unit. He set it on the thermostat and it's working fine.

The air conditioner was out and we had it worked on. I submit my claims over the phone and call them, and AHS has been prompt. I'd like to choose the people who would be taking care of my issues on my own but the people that they choose are okay. I looked up some of the things on the company they assigned to me in the local review guides and they were about a 50/50. By the reviews, if I had been given a choice I probably would have chosen somebody else but I didn’t have a problem with them. They did what they promised on time, and they were fine.
AHS, however, only provided a minimal amount of Freon cost. So if you got a leak in your system and the Freon has to be replaced, they only pay about $10 a pound while Freon is $65 to $80 a pound. But they pay for the service charge so that saves you $75 or so, but you also got to pay them $75. So it's breakeven. I'm not thrilled about it, but I probably saved a little bit of money by using them. I'm satisfied with my experience with AHS.

I agree with many others: AHS employees were professional but their choice of partners causes issues. My major complaint is with the way that AHS handles AC repairs in that they state that they will only pay a maximum of $10 per pound for replacement refrigerant. My system uses R410A which is commonly listed for $150-$170 for 25 pound containers or $6-$7 per pound. The contractor has billed $55 per pound for the refrigerant which equals to a 685% markup. I understand that companies need to make a profit, but this seems like the contractor underbid their repair agreement with AHS and is making it up by grossly overcharging for the refrigerant.
Next problem was the invoice. The invoice that I signed was for $510 but my credit card was charged for $1,295. I could not get the contractor to return my calls so I stopped payment with my credit card company. Next, they said that they had made a mistake and then sent me two different invoices for $785 and $870. Then, the AC unit stopped working again 3 weeks later. That is when AHS said that I had to use the same poor contractor that did the original work or pay another $150 to get a "reliable" contractor for a 2nd service call. I asked to speak to a supervisor but was put on hold for approx 30 minutes and then dropped. AHS needs to rethink this policy. Based on my experience, I definitely would not recommend AHS.

Placed service request for AC not working 05/25/18 in the morning. Service person showed up at 2 pm on 05/26/18. I was told that there were a few options for getting AC working. Our cost being anywhere from $1000 to $5000. Since it was Saturday, repair person stated that he would not be able to get specific costs on parts, etc until Monday. Did not hear from repairman until 8:45 pm on 05/28/18. He sent a text explaining options. The less expensive option involved ordering a compressor and he stated that it could take days. The most expensive involved installing a new unit and that could be done right away.
Today, my husband has been on the phone with American Home Shield for hours. He was even told that since it was a compressor that was needed they were never out of compressors. He asked for an estimated day/time for delivery this compressor and was told that they have no idea. The temperatures have been in the Mid-90’s. This is day 5 with no A/C.

I have been with AHS for the past 17 years. For the past 3 or 4 years I have had problems with my AC every summer around the same time. Someone comes out say it's this, that and the other. Well finally this time they say it need to be replaced. Contractor that came to my home told me that the parts that needed to be ordered were outdated could no longer get them. AHS agreed to purchase heat and air pump. They telephone me and told me what my out of pocket expense would be. I said that was fine, please place the order. They said the Contractor would call when the unit was in to set up an appointment. I had not heard from Contractor nor AHS so I called AHS. They put me on hold and told me that the Unit was with the contractor. Told me to contact contractor to set up time.
I did just that. When I spoke with the contractor he told me that he was very sorry. The earliest he could get to me would be June 19, 2018 because American Home Shield DID NOT call him and tell him I was willing to pay the out of pocket expense. So I was told to ask for a cashout. I did that on the same day. First lady told me someone would call me on the next day 5-24-18. No call. I called AHS back on the 24th late that evening. Then I was told it would take 24 hours. So in other words I have been told so many different stories. I called back today 5-29-18. I am still getting the runaround. You can't be transferred to a department, you have to wait for them to reach out to you, you can't talk to anyone in any other department because they are all on calls.
I call BS with that, when you ask for a supervisor the same thing once again. I call BS on that. If American Home Shield is all that great of a company, I think there should be someone that you can talk to at any time with any problem. Now I am sure that whoever read this at AHS would not appreciate being without air when it is in the 90's. So all I ask for is for someone to give me as a customer the same respect that you would wish to have. If this problem is not resolved by week's end I will be going higher than just writing a review on your site. BBB will be getting involved. This is just poor communication on American Home Shield part. No other company operate this way. Signed a very upset customer.

On May 20th I reported a Hot Water Heater failure to AHS. I paid AHS the required $75.00 charge and I was referred to LiveGreen Plumbing Services that I called on May 21st and was told that the earliest date they could provide the service was May 24th between 2-5pm. At 4:30pm on the 24th having heard nothing from LiveGreen I attempted calling both numbers to no avail. One rang and cut off, the other said the mailbox was full and disconnected. A call to AHS resulted in a rep trying both numbers and getting the same response. On the 25th I called AHS to request another contractor and was verbally attacked by a rep who claimed that I must have missed the appointment and when I objected, said that if I spoke to her "in that language" she was going to hang up on me. This call resulted in her "instructing" me to call the company and request another appointment.
I called LiveGreen and was told that the next available date was the 29th again between 2-5, leaving me without hot water now for 10 days. The LiveGreen tech finally came late on the 24th and informed me that the new heater and required upgrades would cost $427 which I paid immediately and was told that the earliest it could be obtained and installed would be on the 29th again between 2-5pm. At 5pm today I got a call from 2 LiveGreen technicians saying they were delayed on another job and would be here after 5. I was ensured that I would have hot water when they left.
At 5:10 I received a call from LiveGreen saying that they had not secured the heater and did not know if they would get it on tomorrow. As I approached the height of my voice level to demand a refund of my money, I was put on hold and told that they located the heater and would install it tomorrow between 11-2pm. When asked by me that why they would not consider their MAJOR inconvenience as to having me without hot water for what will be almost 2 weeks because of their inefficiencies and inconsideration as to my time and condition, and provide me with a time certain I was told that they would not. I wait now for the fourth time, having paid both AHS and Live Green over $500 almost two weeks ago for hot water and I have none.
Good morning Adrienne,
I most certainly understand your frustration with the delay in service you have experienced to have your water heater replaced as well as the noncovered cost that was paid to the technician. I would be glad to speak with you and help resolve the issues.

My landlord provides an AHS warranty with her home to promptly take care of maintenance issues. My central A/C has been out for two weeks and there is no solution in sight. The unit began making a high pitched squealing noise from the outside fan on the morning of May 15. Then it stopped cooling. I called AHS and they said the earliest they could get someone out was May 17. They used a contractor located nearly two hours away. When he arrived he found ice on the Freon supply line and said he could do nothing until the unit had thawed. He said he would try to have someone come back in the afternoon. I received a notification that someone would be there again be there between 12 & 4. No one came.
The tech finally showed up at 8:30 pm after dark, and an hour later said that he believed the problem was a bad condenser coil. He said someone would contact us about the repair. Monday May 21, we were told a different tech would be out to complete the diagnosis. This tech said it was a faulty evaporator coil and someone would be in touch about scheduling the work. Two techs, two completely different diagnosis, two complete different components.
A day or two later I received a message asking me for a credit card prepayment for a copay on the part and Freon to replace what the system had lost. My landlord called to question the two different diagnosis. AHS agreed to send out a new tech from a different company. This tech arrived arrived on 5-25 and said that the problem was a bad defroster panel. Three techs, three different components, three different diagnosis - still no air. I live in Florida. It’s HOT and this service is unacceptable. AHS commercials make it seem like it’s one call resolution. This is not the case. It has been two weeks since the issue was reported and no one from AHS has followed up with me after they sent the 3rd guy out last week.

I purchased a home warranty with American Home Shield specifically for my A/C because I rent out my home during the summers and I didn’t want my renters dealing with any heat issues in Oklahoma. Well, sure enough, my A/C went out. I paid the $100 service fee to have a guy come out and was VERY disappointed to find that the warranty ONLY COVERED 10 PERCENT of the cost. That is a joke. Thankfully, the guy who came out did the bare minimum required so we can switch warranty companies and get it properly fixed in a month.

The contractor that AHS sent did my bathroom sink and cleaned my A/C. He fixed my issue and left. I had another claim within the same week and that was for plumbing. One of the toilets was stopped up and the other one was leaking from upstairs to downstairs. The contractor for that was fine as well. He said that if he had to do anything else, he would have to go through the wall or put a hole in the wall. But it hasn’t been leaking since. I compared AHS to some of the other plans and I was going to cancel them one time because there was another company that was a lot less expensive. They were almost $20 less than AHS. When I submit a claim to American Home Shield, I usually do it online. I talked to somebody on the phone, but you know how it is when you’re calling and you’re on hold. So, I have an account set up with them and so I just go in and send it and it’s very easy. Recently, the refrigerator stopped cooling so we made a claim and they sent a guy out from Universal 1 Repair. He looked at it and ordered the motherboard and front panel. He replaced everything but it didn't help at all. They said it must be the compressor and so they came out a week later and put a new one but it still didn’t work. This whole process took about five weeks and we’ve been living out of coolers for two weeks. AHS brought us a mini fridge to use and that helped us out.
AHS was on top of it all the time so the fault falls back on Universal. In the end, American Home Shield gave an allowance to replace the existing refrigerator and that was great. So, we went out and bought a new one replacing it Saturday. I filed for the mini fridge last April 10th and I still haven't gotten the check. It takes a while to get the allowance so, I don’t know how long it would take for the other $3,000 that they’re sending me. But we’ve had American Home Shield for about 10 years, they always take care of our problems, they follow through and we’ve never had a bad experience with them.
Hello, Larry. We apologize that it took that amount of time to resolve your service request. Thank you for letting us know the unit was replaced.

I had two plumbing issues and Performance Plumbing was good but Agility Access Plumbing sucked. The guy from Performance came out and worked on my garbage disposal. He had a brand new part in the truck and he just put the new one in so he was fine. But when Agility Access Plumbing came out to do the water heater, they ended up putting pipes on my front porch. So if water leaked out, the front porch would be flooded with water. It was a stupid, nasty, tacky job.
I didn't see it until after they went home and when I called to complain, they acted as though they didn't want to fix it. They told me to wait until the City inspects it. But when the City came out and inspected it, they said, "That’s a tacky job. But you don’t need me to write down that that is a tacky job. Just go attack their license.” So I did. The Sacramento Licensing Board sent me an email and told me that Agility Access Plumbing had 21 days to correct the problem or their license would be revoked or suspended. So the contractor contacted me in 12 days. They came out and said that it was a tacky job and that they were gonna redo it.
At first they were gonna charge me $100 but I told them I was not gonna be charged $100 for the tacky job that they did. They said that they needed more pipes and that was why they did what they did, which was crazy to me. But they ended up fixing it because I’m sure they didn’t want their license revoked or suspended.
In the beginning, I also asked American Home Shield if they could talk to Ability Access Plumbing because they were the ones who sent them out. But they said no and that I had to go directly to them. That was crappy for customer service with American Home Shield so I told them off. I’ve also had problems with American Home Shield two or three times. But I always got to the bottom of it by calling the vice president or the president and then stuff got done.
I hate to keep going to that extent but the customer service doesn't pay attention to me. They always wanna try to pass the buck then they would say that there's nobody higher than them and that I have to settle my dispute with them. But there’s always somebody higher than them. So I always do my research and I get to the person where I need to go. A couple of years ago, the customer service kept giving me the runaround on three items and I even reached the secretary of American Home Shield’s president. She took care of the problem for me with the three items and it didn’t cost me anything. Sometimes you gotta really do your research and not drop the ball to get what you need done.
American Home Shield's contract also keeps going up every year. I’m paying $48.99 for the contract every month then when they send a person to come out when I request service, that’s $75 every pop also. It’s like American Home Shield is making a racket off of the consumers. It’s pretty bad that they’re getting away with it. I have shopped around to see if I can have a better customer service and rates but I hate to leave American Home Shield since I’ve been with them for over 24 years. It’s kind of sad that it has to come down to this.

When you buy some new place and all the appliances are in, you never know if there's a problem or not. Getting a home warranty is the smartest thing you can do. It takes so much worry out. We bought a new condo and did a lot of research before we went with American Home Shield. It was rated the best. It's pretty expensive but then you use it and then it's pretty cheap. That's the way it works.
We've had American Home Shield for one year and I've only had one claim. An outlet just went haywire so I knew there was nothing serious. But I called about 9 o'clock in the evening. They took a report down and said they'd get somebody out there. An electrician from Warner Electric was out here before lunch the next day and had it fixed by noon. It went real fast and they did a wonderful job. He saw what it was and he knew exactly what was wrong. It was one of those outlets in the bathroom and they have real quick sensors. So he just put a new one in and it's working like a brand-new one now.
Hi, Rex. We are so pleased to know that your issue was resolved so quickly. Thank you for the positive feedback!

Recently, I had to have my dryer replaced. I called American Home Shield and they took my call. The contractors came out the next day. They were very professional and good at what they were doing. He explained what was going on with the machine. He said that he would turn that report into AHS and AHS should be getting back within a few days which they did so I didn’t have any problems at all with getting things replaced. I also had a washing machine that they did about two years ago. Also, an air conditioner was done previously and it's still working without any problems so far.
I would like to thank you for the positive feedback regarding your most recent experience to have the dryer replaced and your previous good experiences with the dryer and air conditioner replacements. I hope that you continue to enjoy your American Home Shield warranty.

I called American Home Shield because of a leak on my basement floor, which appeared to be the water heater because of that's where most of the water collected. However, the plumbers sent by AHS said that it was not the water heater and recommended that I instead call a HVAC person to service the furnace. The plumbers said that AHS could "transfer the ticket" to a HVAC person, and that I would not have to pay the service fee a second time.
AHS sent out a HVAC person, and I learned it was the furnace, and the water simply pooled under the water heater because of the grading on the floor. However, AHS has charged me for two $75 service fees, one for the plumber and one for the HVAC. They said they charge this fee whenever they send out a contractor, regardless of whether that contractor did any work on the house. Essentially, their policy boils down to an expectation that a homeowner can properly diagnose problems with their systems. Given that we are not experts, this is not always the case. I think it is unfair.
Hello, Edward. I apologize that you received another service fee for the work that was performed. A Social Media Specialist will contact you to assist you with resolution.

I've been with American Home Shield for a lot of years. When I had an AC issue, I contacted them and the rep I talked to was good. She responded quickly. Then, the person that came in from A-US Air Conditioning of Texas was great. I was gonna upgrade the system and the contractor told me that the whole inside unit was gonna cost $2,000 while the outside unit was gonna cost $4,000. I did my research and if you'd get a very large and expensive company like Jon Wayne, they would do it for $7,000. Then, a small company would do for $12,000 for the entire deal. I then called Home Shield for the cashout and they only gave me $685. I was disappointed and it took me a little while to talk to them about the situation. I was also gonna cancel because I talked to my friends and they didn't really like it. But other than that, everything was good and they told me that I have to wait for my cash back now.

I had a three-in-one claim with AHS. There's plumbing, electrical and air conditioning. Submitting the claim took a while because when I got the renewal done, I was told that I could use it as a one service rather than three separate services. So, there was a confusion in communication and a massive delay in solving the issue. It got to that point where I had to escalate it all the way to social media to solve it.
I got a call from Ken and said that he would resolve the problem. He got on top of it, made sure everything was done and set up appointments. He made a follow up with my wife, told her what's happening and set up one appointment with the plumbers. The plumber came and said he would do the fix, but he disappeared. Ken called to check and we said that there were no updates. He sent a new person that took our information and got the problem fixed. Ken made a follow up again and we told him that the problem had been sorted out and resolved. He also waived the $100 charge as a courtesy because of the massive delay of a month and a half. Come renewal, we renewed with them. He called again to check if everything was okay. The situation was really handled well and the experience was amazing. I wish it was done like that from before. If I was to stay with AHS, it would be because of Kent. He's my go-to person right now.

The technician who came said that he has to replace the oven. And that was the last time I heard from them. I called American Home Shield and told them the situation and they said that they have to look into it. But they didn’t call me back. I called them after a month again and they said the same thing. I called American Home Shield and they sent someone out but he was not able to repair the unit or even move it. We thought he was coming back. But I went on my email and saw that there was another company that was supposed to come out instead. So I called them today. They called me back and they are going to call Whirlpool to make sure if the dryer off the washer is covered. If not, there's a separate charge for that.
The issue hasn’t been resolved at all because my husband was saying the person was telling him about the motherboard but nothing has been done because we couldn't get the number off of it. Apparently, my husband says they can't open the dryer door to see what the model number is. And the second company has not come out yet. I filed a claim through American Home Shield’s online service and their website was pretty steady across the board. But we got tossed around for over eight hours in one day just to get the same answer. For piping or sewage blocks, if you don't put it in for emergency, it takes forever for the contractor to come out. AHS expedited the claim but then the plumbing company that they went through wasn't available.
We're still dealing with this plumbing nightmare and it has been a month and a half now. American Home Shield called me a week ago and said that they were finished with paying out their portion. It was back and forth and it wasn't an easy process. The whole thing took over a month.
AHS could’ve communicated with whomever it is they were dealing with. It was so bad that we had to intervene and call each party to tell them what was happening. And we shouldn’t be involved. But the unit is now working perfectly and we still find having a warranty very valuable. We had other claims with them and we never had an issue.

I got this AHS coverage by buying the house and the AHS administrative system is not very good in terms of keeping track of the plans. The first company that I had from American Home Shield was a scammer. The claim was for a leaky pool pump and he came out and said that it wouldn’t do to fix the leak because the high pressure was the real problem. And AHS denied the claim because they don’t cover things for high pressure. Si I did a Google search and found out this was what he did every time. He collects the $70 fee and knows that by blaming it on high pressure, AHS is gonna deny the claim and then, he sends another text message later saying that he'll fix the problem for 250 bucks.
I asked AHS for a second opinion and they had another company come out who fixed the gasket on the pump. The problem was solved and so, I’m very happy with the second company. AHS should get rid of the first one because he keeps doing the same thing over and over. All the pool people in this area know about this guy so, it's baffling why AHS keeps using them. The second company had to come back a couple of times because they had to order the part and stuff. But they came and took a look at it while I wasn’t here, which I appreciated because you can just come through the backyard via the side fence, so it's accessible. But overall, it’s a very good experience.

The company that AHS sent out for the air conditioner was highly efficient and did the job. Everything went great. But, there was a company that I didn’t like. And when I went in to file the claim, that company came up which was supposed to be taken off so I called AHS and had it redone. My phone experience lately has been better because the wait time wasn’t as long. But the last time I submitted a claim, it took me about 30 minutes to get through. I went through, but I would get to a certain point, and the phone would cut off, and I'd have to call back. I had to do that about 15 times. I told the rep if it was some glitch in the system that was acting up that night. But the one before that call was much better because the amount of time that I had to wait was minutes compared to hours before. The rep said they've tried to hire more people. Hopefully, those glitches will get worked out.

We had bought a brand new house and we were having the floors replaced. But when the contractor went in, the plumbing was bad in the bathroom. We hadn't even moved in yet and they had to go in and put in a new plumbing for the toilet and the sink. American Home Shield was fantastic when we submitted the claim over the phone. They were responsive.
But American Home Shield originally referred us to Red Mechanical but they did not service the area so there was a three-day window when we were wondering where the technician was. I called the company directly and they said that they had called American Home Shield to say they don't service the area. I should have called sooner instead of waiting three days. But that was the only hiccup and other that that, it was fine.
We switched to a plumbing company called Reardon and Chris was a great guy. He came back with parts the next day and then even worked on a Saturday to finish up what needed to be done. He came out doing the basics of what is covered under the insurance and he's probably gonna do a little bit more that’s not covered in the insurance next time. Still, we were happy with the experience.

We bought the policy from American Home Shield when we bought the house and had a plumbing issue day one after we moved. There was a whole house blockage. Submitting the claim was very easy. The first company that they sent out was very responsive and they came out right away. The contractor said the problem was clear, but it needed repair work but unfortunately, American Home Shield would not cover the claim. And then it backed up the next day and the problem was, he didn’t find the clean-out that was blocked. We asked for a second opinion and the second company that came out was dreadful. They showed up at 9:00 o’clock at night with no tools and it was pitch dark. And since American Home Shield already denied the claim, we didn’t pursue it any further. We could not live in the house and we had to leave the house. We had to find somebody to fix the problem.
I’ve since contacted an attorney that is pursuing the sellers because in total, four plumbing companies looked at the problem and there was no way that these people were not aware of this problem so they did not disclose this issue. Finally a local plumber came out and he walked around the house and said, “Oh, there’s a second clean-out. It should be right about here.” And he mulched and it was completely, solidly blocked. He got a power auger and he unblocked it. We needed to replace the pipe that ran from the house all the way to the sewer in the street. The plumber called it “bellied” where it was bowed where everything was just assimilating in it and it was backing up to the house no matter what you did. The repair was $6000 we hadn’t planned for.
I’ve learned more about plumbing than I ever wanted to know. We’re senior citizens, we are desperate and we can’t use the facilities in our house. There are good plumbing companies in the town in which we live so why did AHS send people from far away. I was disappointed. AHS needs to use more local people instead of sending somebody from 40 miles away. They need to make some better contacts locally. But their website was very easy to use and I was really pleased with that. And I got a quick call back from this plumber. It was within an hour.
Good morning, Saundra. I am so sorry that you had to endure this issue after moving into your home. My apologies that our contractors arrived late and unprepared to properly access the situation. A Social Media Specialist will be in contact with you to discuss your concerns.

Then the hose that went up from the air conditioning unit to the complex was deteriorated. I asked him to do that and he said he would come back after 45 minutes but a week later, I had heard nothing.
I called and left a message then when I talked to somebody, they said they would send somebody out but they never did. So I said to have someone else come in and fixed it, and I asked them to send me an invoice because I had sold the property and the buyers needed to know what was done. But not only did they keep me on hold for over 20 minutes every time that I called, they also never returned my calls. They sent me this invoice that looked like a two-year-old did. But I didn't wanna deal with them anymore and I took it to closing. The people who bought the condo said that they trusted us and that it was fine. Fast Response was horrible and very coarse. It was an awful experience with them and I would never use them again.

I’ve been with American Home Shield since September last year and then recently, I filed a claim for my furnace. I had no problems submitting it and the reps handled it professionally. It was an excellent experience. I had to wait a couple of days for the contractor and when Danny, the technician from Quality Climate came in, he run and got the part, was back in 10 minutes and took care of the problem.
Great John! We are happy to know that AHS has been beneficial & week look forward to handling your future warranty needs. Have a great weekend.

My air conditioner was not working. I submitted a claim to American Home Shield online and then, I got an email about the claim. However, it took a week for the contractor to be able to have an available appointment. Finally, when the techs came out, they determined that the air conditioner needed to be replaced. And then we had to schedule an appointment from that point after they got an approval for the air conditioner to be replaced.
The techs came on a Friday and they didn’t submit the claim to American Home Shield until that Monday after American Home Shield sent them another message that they needed to know what needed to be done. And then we made arrangements for the techs to come out and install the new air conditioner. The weather was bad so it didn't get installed that day. We then scheduled it for another week later and then it was installed. It took about 21 days to get the air conditioner fixed. Overall, American Home Shield is good and I recommend them all the time. But I wasn't happy with that one particular company in all of Birmingham, Alabama that they employed.

We would hear a little bit of crackling in the power box. It’s very subtle but nonetheless, it was doing that. Also, certain lights and different outlets were not working in the house. I just turned the breaker off and called our insurance. I’m 66, so I’m not the best computer guy in the world so I submitted the claim by phone to American Home Shield and the rep was good and professional. It was a few days before AHS could get somebody out here. They tried a couple of times hoping the person that does it would have either a cancellation or would get done quicker with whatever he was doing, but no luck. Nevertheless, the man got out here as soon as he could and within less than an hour, it was all fixed and good. He was very professional and we had a really good experience with AHS.

The contractor's performance was within my expectation. They handled the plumbing issue straightforward. They had a good tool and I'm satisfied.

I've had so many problems getting my washing machine fixed and this may be my fifth claim for the same washing machine. It keeps breaking down every few months and American Home Shield keeps patching it up. They keep sending somebody else to fix one part then another part breaks down. It's always something and it’s very inconvenient. None of the times did they have the particular part needed in the warehouse. Most of the times, I had to wait a little bit more. They had to order it and that meant another day that I had to take off from work for the convenience of the technician because I'm the one who needs a washer.
It's an old washer and the guy said it just probably needed to be replaced. But everything that the technician does, he has to go through his office and his office has to speak with American Home Shield. I was on the phone with a young lady and she let me hear that she was letting American Home Shield know exactly what it was. She told them to get a whole new washer but they said no and to go try to fix it again.
But American Home Shield would rather make customers pay them all this money. I’m spending more money fixing it than I would to get another one. I'm kinda fed up with it right now and I'm thinking of cutting to the chase and spending $200 to buy another washer. I could pay 50-some dollars a month to American Home Shield or I could take 50-some dollars a month twice and buy a new washer. It's been a terrible experience and I don't wanna renew my contract. We're on American Home Shield for three houses and we’ve have it for almost 15 years. My dad transferred it under my name because he was 60 years old so we still keep it. Although there are other things in the house that I've used them for, now I really dread anything happening to even call them and it shouldn't be an experience like that.
Hello, Jacqueline. I apologize that you have an unresolved issue. Per our records, the policy canceled in April. The work order should still be honored though. A Social Media Specialist will be in contact with you to assist you further.

The air conditioner wasn't blowing heat or cool so I called and submitted the claim with American Home Shield. But I didn't hear anything for 24 hours so I called back the next day and I was on hold forever. I got this really nice lady the first time but the problem was that they didn't have anybody in my area and she was asking me. We were trying to figure out an area that was around here and we thought we had a name of a company. She submitted a work order then I called that company an hour later to make sure but they said they don't service our area.
So I called back and talked to another lady. She said that it was going to take up to another 24 hours because they had to hear from the previous company saying that they did not service our area. I guess the guy was fibbing. I called that company back and told them to make sure that they do this because we don't have air conditioning. It was 90 degrees and it sucked. She said sure but then I called back and they said they were still looking for somebody. So then it was another 24 hours.
It took several days for a technician to come out, which was a disaster, but the technician himself was great. They finally got him to come and I think he said that the compressor was out. It wasn't gonna work so they needed to order a new one and he would get back with us. But it's been a week and a couple of days and we haven't heard back from anybody. This particular time has been an odd situation. But we've used American Home Shield for other things before and we've always been pleased.
Hi, Brynn. We apologize for the delays but glad to hear it was all worked out. Thank you for your patronage over the years.

When I submit a claim with American Home Shield, I would get an email acknowledgment which goes to a page that says, “We received your claim request.” Then, I'd get a follow-up text saying that somebody will be in touch within 24 hours. One time, I replaced my dishwasher with one that was gifted to me and it was not functioning properly. I submitted the claim online and the contractor came in to repair that. My icemaker wasn’t working on my fridge, so he came in and he worked on that as well. The contractor was very professional and he did everything that needed to be done, although I’m having a bit of trouble with the air. It’s not drying my dishes. They’re still soaking wet, so I’m gonna call them for a follow-up.

In the beginning, I put the call in with American Home Shield and let them in and told them what I wanted to be done. They sent somebody out then I paid $100. And they talked to me about what was going on. Now, things have changed and prices went up to $125. Also, I always submit my claims online now. When I first started American Home Shield, I would wait until the technician was gonna get out and pay them the money. But for some reason, online won’t allow that. It will automatically take the payment out of my credit card. If you don’t have a credit card, you probably can’t get anyone to come out going through online. It has really changed because on the form online, you can choose if you want to pay cash or credit card, but when you try through cash, it doesn’t even take it and it almost kicks you out. So, if you have a credit card, then everything automatically keeps going forward.
I had a plumbing issue with the disposal a while back, so I submitted a claim with American Home Shield. It took them four days to come out. And I was really satisfied with the experience. However, lately, somebody came out to fix the dishwasher and he said it was just stocked up. But now it’s not working again. I’ve had to call somebody back out again three times to do the work again, and early on, it was never like that. That’s starting to happen a little too often and that’s getting to be an issue. It’s gonna be a little frustrating especially since I gotta spend $125 each time. At some point, if I keep spending $125, it’s gonna get to a point where I might as well go ahead and get a new appliance.
Also recently, the contract number that I had in the beginning had changed and I didn’t know about it. I called and asked them why my contract was going through this. They said that it changed so I asked why, and they said that after a year or something, they would change the contract. I said that they should’ve made sure that everyone knew that. American Home Shield should convey the changes to the customer, but other than that, I would recommend them.

I submitted a claim with American Home Shield for a microwave oven. They came out and said that the microwave needed to be technically replaced. So, I had specific questions on replacement through them with GE. I went through all lengths in measuring to make sure everything was right, which it was. However, the second party that brought the microwave out to the house scratched my countertop and my cabinet. They got the microwave in but then my trim kit did not fit. And so, they took the microwave back out, set it down in the counter and scratched the counter again.
I had to file a claim for them to pay for scratching the countertop, for the paint and all that to retouch up my cabinets. I called AHS to tell them what had happened. And the lady I spoke to told me that there was a stocking fee with the trim kit. I told her that I didn’t understand since it's the trim kit that's fitted and it fits in there. But the way it's made, it doesn’t look like it goes with the microwave.
I called Corporate GE and told them what happened and they were furious that it sounded to them that the trim kit did not match the microwave. There's too much of a gap in between it. AHS still refused to take it back from the GE that sells its stuff to AHS. GE said that AHS should have taken it back. After getting angry, staying on the phone for long periods of time with them, and paying me back for more personal time for when I have to stay online, I then got a refund but AHS took out the stocking fee and $70. I was stuck with the trim kit and I had to throw it in the trash. I had to go back out and buy another microwave myself and ask to reinstall it.
I've had two houses with AHS and have been a customer of theirs for 12 years. We're paying AHS monthly right now. But my husband started doubting whether we should have them anymore after that experience. Of all the years that I've had AHS, this is the first occurrence that I've had a really horrible experience. I told the lady who I spoke to that it seems as over the years with AHS, it has gotten less customer-friendly. They don’t make it easy on the customer. I told the manager that my life is just as busy as anybody else's. I shouldn't have to take my time, just sit there and wait 45 minutes to talk to somebody.
In the past, I've turned in claims and they've always been good about everything. A couple of years ago, I had a whole stove that had to be replaced and AHS was good with the experience going through that. Also, my husband used AHS a couple of weeks ago and that went smoothly and so that one was good. However, there is lack of communication between the departments, documentation on files and waiting on the firm to talk to somebody. They could improve on that note as far as with customers.

They replaced the compressor on our heat pump. They’ve done electrical wiring, plumbing and they worked on my washer dryer and dishwasher.
I've cancelled all my other contracts with other companies because American Home Shield does a better job. We had a contract with Sears and I just got sick and tired of their service department. It was horrible. I don’t have time to waste to have them come out here and say that they’ve got to get a part. When American Home Shield sends somebody out here, they got the parts on the truck. I've already recommended AHS to a couple of people. My daughter in Massachusetts has American Home Shield now.

I recently filed a claim with American Home Shield for service on our heat pump and the site was very user-friendly. Getting a service appointment was quick, but getting the actual repair has taken some time. There was some back and forth with American Home Shield on what was covered by our warranty and what wasn’t, and it took several weeks to get that sorted out and to get our heat pump repaired. But we have a backup heat source, so there was no issue there. The contractor's service was very professional and friendly. The repair is gonna be done and is scheduled to be completed tomorrow.
One improvement to American Home Shield's service that I would be a fan of is being able to select to whom the service request goes. But other than that, from my experience standpoint, it was perfectly fine. I'd tell people that American Home Shield responds to service requests quickly, but they should make sure they understand what's covered by their warranty and what's not.

I was a bit disappointed with my recent plumbing experience with American Home Shield. A technician came and the handle where you have to press so the water will flow, he was missing a part in his van. I said, “Well, since you’re already here, can you go to a hardware store and buy that particular part?” He said that they were not allowed to go out and buy the part. He didn’t even bother to say, “Okay, can I come back to do it since I didn’t have parts in my van? And the company I’m working for won’t allow me to go to the hardware store to buy that part.” That was not offered to me. He just left and the job was not completed. So I had to do it myself the following day.
Good afternoon Materno,

I had a claim for an air conditioning shortly after I moved in. We have a separate AC unit right above the garage. It wouldn’t get below 79 or 80 degrees. It runs all day and wouldn’t get anything. So we called American Home Shield and put in a request. Then over a week later, somebody came out and checked it out and told us what was wrong. He then gave us a rundown of what was going on. But he didn’t say anything about numbers and then a couple days later I got a call. It was someone from AHS telling me a breakdown of what was needed to be fixed and the cost associated with it. It was a lot more than I was expecting, and a lot was not covered. I thought that more would be covered with it and I understand it’s in the fine print. But it was almost $1,500 and what was covered was only $250 and $10 per pound of refrigerant, which was $87 per pound. It was a little pricey.
So I'm gonna get another person to look at it and see their opinion on it and see what they would do. I’m not sure if I can go through somebody. I know there's something about requesting your own person to come out. So even though I’m never a grumpy critique or a bad reviewer kind of person that finds joy in that, I would not recommend American Home Shield. The people who came were super friendly, and I didn’t have any issues with them. Everybody I talked to was super nice even. But for a $75 fee, it took over a week to get somebody out for an AC guy and he just told us that I need a filter and other things. I’m having a local guy come out and I’ve been told that that’s happened before and it’s very inexpensive to fix. So, if that is the case then a couple hundred bucks to fix it versus $1,500 and waiting a week and then $75 for somebody to come out it would be better off saving the $600 and just doing it myself.
Hi Ryan,

The AC was working but it wasn’t blowing cold. I initially filed the claim online to American Home Shield and I spoke to a representative a couple of times and they were very helpful. American Home Shield sent out really nice and very knowledgeable contractors. The AC is all fixed but I had to go a different route and take a cash-out option because I went to another company who did in-house financing.
The biggest percentage of the expense for my claim was the Freon. American Home Shield charge per pound but the difference is ridiculous. American Home Shield will pay up to $10 a pound but the Freon is $150 a pound. So, the estimate was like $1,500 just for the Freon. And the cost out of my pocket would have been over $2,000. I ended up just replacing the inside and the outside unit for $2,800 so I don’t ever have to deal with Freon again. But it wasn't American Home Shield's fault. It was just that as a homeowner, I decided to go a different route that was going to better for me in the long run. American Home Shield was so polite and professional. And even when I opted to do the cash-out option, I got the check within two weeks. They were very pleasant and they have excellent customer service.

The last one that had come from Tulare for maintenance check told us there was some leak. They said also that the unit was too old but that company doesn't work with American Shield anymore. The guy who came out last is local.
The AC had stopped working a couple of times and the technician told us very clearly that those units are gonna give out any minute. They are very old, like 18 years. But to put the new AC in, they would have to tear apart the roof because we have two big ones. One is on the North side and another on the South side of the house. We're concerned how we're going to be able to replace the units if we don’t even have the money to do the roof. But if American Home Shield can replace the AC unit, we would try to put the money together for the roof. But they haven't called us and I'm still waiting on which action I should take first.

I've had two recent claims with American Home Shield and they haven't been resolved yet. They sent someone out for the pool. But it wasn't fixed. That person was sent out again and it still wasn't fixed. It was not good with the contractor. That was why I asked for a second opinion. I have a pool service and the pool guy made me aware of the situation and he told me what was going on, that was why our pool was not being cleaned. That was when I called in for the service. And they sent a guy out and he had said he had fixed the motor in the pool. It still wasn’t cleaning so I had him sent back and I told him my pool guy said that he didn’t install this correctly and that one of the lines was clogged. And he said he installed it properly and they don't do the line that was clogged, and that he was not sure who was gonna be able to help me with that.
So I called the next day American Home Shield and they said they would have to wait for a report from the contractor. I waited two weeks and then I called to follow up. They still hadn’t sent the report and that's where I'm at. They were supposed to have called me back, this past Monday. We are now at a week ago and I still haven't heard from them. I called American Home Shield to have my air conditioning unit fixed. I called on a Tuesday and they said someone from such and such firm will be contacting me within 24 hours. Wednesday, no call. I gave half the day Thursday, no call. I called them and they said that the earliest that they could be out was the following Monday. I was a little dismayed because they didn’t contact me so we were already a day behind from when I had been promised the initial contact from the firm.
The following Monday, they came out and said that it looked like somebody had done something to the unit outside. They fiddled around with the connection between the unit and the house. They said that it was plugged in upside down. The unit had been running fine up until the day we called. And I can’t imagine who would have come out there and redone the connection. They told me to go back in the house and see if I have cool air blowing out and I did. Five minutes after they had pulled out of the driveway, I had no air coming out again. I tried calling the firm back but they had a strange answering system, which was not very efficient.
I was finally able to call them the next day and told them that as soon as they left, I had no air. It took a couple of days again before they could come out. On their second visit, they checked inside the house better and noticed that there was a problem with the condensate unit located in the basement and it needed to be changed. Eventually, they had gotten it resolved but it wasn't as simple as jiggling the connection outside. Things are fine now but it wasn’t the most efficient experience. Fortunately, summer had a late start this year so we weren’t really sweltering and we were able to stay comfortable using the ceiling fan.
Sometimes I wonder how decisions are made as to which vendor is going to be coming out. It seems as though everyone that we’ve had come out has had some geographic issues. If I knew that there is an electrician who is two townships over and I’ve seen their trucks, I’d be more comfortable with them. But it just seems as though that there is some geographic disconnect with where contractors are coming from so it doesn’t seem to be the best planned out. It would be nice to either have a preference list or to know where contractors were coming from. It would be helpful if AHS published something that lists four contractors who may contact you for a problem of a particular nature.
I've had to use American Home Shield twice this year. And once in our first year here. But based on the experience that I've had during our first year with them, I decided I would renew it for the second year and I'm glad I did. Moreover, I will probably renew again next year. The clothes would be full of water and I couldn't wring it out. I would put it to another wash and I would have to do that five or six times before it would start working again. So I called American Home Shield and had the technician come back again and he put some clothes in it, and it did it while he was here.
He found that it was some type of memory board that wasn’t sensing the balance of the clothes in the washing machine. So he ordered a part and that's what we're waiting on now. Once he gets it, he said he'll give us the call to install it. I probably had to wait anywhere from five to seven days each time before I could get someone to come out, but the actual technician was very good. I'm very satisfied with AHS and I'd recommend it. I had coincidentally two incidences with my refrigerator that were a couple of weeks apart. The first one was a disaster and the second one was excellent. The main problem with the first one wasn’t American Home Shield’s fault but was the contractor, Accord, that they used. I was without a refrigerator for 14 days. They lied to me and they lied numerous times to American Home Shield because American Home Shield would tell me that they had talked to them and they were doing the following things, but it never happened. Finally, they came out and put the part. I was disgusted with the whole thing and wished I had never joined American Home Shield.
I wrote a letter to the president of the company saying, “Hey, I think I understand what happens here. You're counting on these contractors to live up to agreements and this guy did not. But the bottom line, I was without a refrigerator for two weeks.” The Assistant for the president called me back after they got my letter and was very apologetic. She told me, “We're gonna give you credit for the $100 that you had to pay.” When everything settled down and I realized that it was the contractor’s fault, what American Home Shield provided was a good service. I hope American Home Shield did something with it. But I won't ever use Accord again. If I've had a bad experience with one of American Home Shield’s contractors, I can tell them I don’t want them again and I don’t have to take them.
On the second time, the icemaker went which was no big deal because the refrigerator still worked. American Home Shield tried to send the same company out, but I said no and that I didn’t want any part with that company. So, they gave me another company, that Choice One Appliance, and they were excellent. The one they sent out is the son of the owner and he was a gentleman. He was dressed right and he presented himself right. I was very impressed with him and I would use them again on my own. Everything has been fine since they came out. I dealt with one of the girls in their office and she was really nice to deal with and was on top of things and kept me posted. American Home Shield would respond to me when I would call and they would say, “Let me find out. I'll get back to you.” They got back to me but the information they gave me wasn’t accurate. Nonetheless, I'd renew my policy again when the time comes.

He called me the next day and he was out the following day. He was absolutely wonderful, came out right on time like he was supposed to and got it fixed. Also, he was really nice and very informative.
We had also had a claim for our Whirlpool bathtub and AHS still haven’t responded to that one yet. They just ignored it and they even took it off the listing as if I didn’t ever put it in so I'm gonna have to go back at it again. They claimed that they don’t do work on the motor for it but my contract says they do. So they had to replace the timer inside the house because it was not sending the signal properly to the air conditioner. The company that came out was super great. They called us immediately, were not late in coming in and were very professional. When they came the first time, they replaced the timer. And then the next day, when everything was not working properly, they came back, saw that it was the same issue, and then fixed whatever they found. In the end, everything worked perfectly. It was a great service.

I usually submit my claim online and it’s very easy to navigate the website. And unless it’s an emergency, somebody contacts me within 24 hours. There was a leak in our ceiling and the contractor that came out was very informative, very thorough and professional. The cause of the leak ended up being a bathroom above and it had nothing to do with plumbing. The tub in the master bath is like a spa tub and the people who built the house put an aerator on the faucet that fills the tub. But big tubs like that shouldn’t have an aerator on them because you want it to fill fast. And the way the fixtures were plumbed, the aerator had water spraying along the rim of the tub. However, the rim wasn’t properly sealed when the home was built so that water dripped through down to the bedroom beneath and into the ceiling.
The guy who came was a great problem solver. He was on all the different variables, he looked at everything and he didn’t charge me an arm and a leg for tearing apart everything. We opened up a small area on the ceiling that was enough to visualize where the plumbing was. Then he filled the tub up and backtracked everything. He told us the variable causes and did some elimination in quick order. He probably only had to be there maybe an hour and a half or so. He took the aerator of the faucet and he did a thin bead re-caulk around where the water was seeping in from it so as to prevent further problems. I’ve had American Home Shield on every home we’ve had for probably 25 years and I always get my premium back. And even paying the deductible with it, I still always come out ahead with it.
Hello Jim,
I would first like to thank you for your patronage of 25 years to American Home Shield. It is reviews such as yours that push us to provide our customers with the best experience possible. Also, I am glad that you have found the website easy to navigate through. I hope that we continue to provide you with knowledgeable contractors that will fulfill each service request.

I went to American Home Shield’s website to submit a claim for our air conditioner since the heat pump wasn’t working. The process was easy and everything was good with the contractor who came here and looked at it. They didn’t take long to figure out what it was and he had to order a new part which came in a few days later. Then, another technician came out and installed it. There weren’t any issues and since then, it’s been fine.

Our garbage disposal was broken and I’ve had several things that broke within the last month. I called American Home Shield and tried to get the stuff fixed. Their representatives were professional and knowledgeable. They handled the information correctly and they got the right people to call me and set up appointments. I had good experience with everyone except with A1 Service because of their promptness in returning phone calls or calling back to set up an appointment. At one time, I thought the person who did the work was a little rude. I was probably more frustrated than anything.

There was a problem with the lock on my door and I got very unsatisfied with the contractor that American Home Shield sent. He came in the house but I misplaced a new piece of the lock, so he told me that he couldn’t do anything without it and walked out. The contractor charged me $75 but they haven't been out since. I called AHS and they said it would be another $75 for the contractor to come out. But the other people that AHS sent were outstanding. The tech came in and fixed the washing machine. We also never had a problem with the air conditioning, the microwave and the oven. I still like AHS, they have been good to me and I'd recommend them to everybody.

I moved in my home last July and my toilets had been leaking since then, which as time went by, I noticed more and more. I had two of them, and one was leaking at the base and also where the tank was. I called American Home Shield and asked for service, and they accepted the request. Soon after, the plumbing company gave me a call and set up the schedule. The contractor that came out was good and he took care of it. He provided service about a month before that for a dripping shower head so I knew him. I keep an eye on the toilets and everything's fine.
The only con I had was that it was hard to get a hold of AHS. I have to call early in the morning to get through, otherwise I have to wait an hour. I waited for an hour and a half before they would pick up the phone. Even the contractor said that AHS had to call for them to get approval for what they were gonna do on one of the jobs. But AHS told me that they've improved on that part by opening up more lines. There are other home warranty insurances out there but so far, this seems to be working out. This was left by the previous owner to me so it was a good insight.
Hi, Charles. We do hope that when you contact us in the future you find that the hold times have improved. Thank you for letting us know about your experience.

The air-conditioner unit was making a noise and it cut off. At first, I submitted the claim online and AHS' website was okay. I also had to call because the person that I had talked to said that it would take three or four days before they could get somebody out. The technician came when he said he would and fixed it. He was polite and was there about 30 minutes or less and had the part. The fall-down on it was when the original company that called said that they wouldn’t be able to get somebody out ‘til three or four days. I wanted to change the appointment to somebody else. In the meantime, she hired another tech, although there was a little confusion for about 24 hours that he was gonna be able to take the call.
It took a day and a half for them to come out, but for a whole 24 hours, I didn’t know if they were coming or not. My husband was with the tech and it went well because he had the part to fix it with and we were impressed with that. The unit was fixed a couple of hours ago, so it’s working now. We were extremely satisfied with the experience. Having a warranty on our property is very valuable and this is the second time we’ve used it. I would recommend American Home Shield.

We have rental homes and we use American Home Shield quite a bit and we really never had issues before. Sometimes it takes a bit longer because if it's a part that has to be ordered, it has to get approved by AHS and then it'll have to get paid off. So, sometimes a repair could take a day or two or a week but it gets repaired eventually. With the clogged drain claim, however, I was not happy. We had a clogged drain in the upstairs restroom and we requested for it to be unclogged. Unfortunately, the contracting company that AHS sent was not able to resolve the issue. According to the contractor who came, they ran the line for 15 feet, which was what was allowed in their contract. I know that there are times when there are more out-of-pocket expenses. I had somebody else at the house at that time who told the plumbers that she could call and have me approve the extra line and then breaking or replacing the stopper, but the contractor said they could not do that.
The contractors then put the ticket out as completed and when I called AHS again to find out what had happened, they said that the job was considered completed because the contractor ran the 15 feet. So, I had a company come out for a $125. They broke the stopper and fixed the issue. And American Home Shield did not reimburse us for that because the primary company that went out ran the line for 15 feet that was in their contract.
Also, when the contractor has to order a part and I don’t know how soon they're gonna come out again and I'm trying to get updates, I have been on hold up to eight hours literally waiting to get a hold of somebody. It has been bad but they’ve improved and it's now anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour on hold. So, answering their calls and servicing people a lot quicker is something that American Home Shield definitely has to work on.
We had a dryer that was not repairable but it took American Home Shield a few times because they had to send their contractors out. And when the contractors finally said there was nothing they could do about it, American Home Shield replaced the item, which was great although it took us a while. We were going back and forth between American Home Shield and the contractor trying to figure out who was doing what. They didn’t always contact us per se to let us know what was going on and so we had to call them. And that’s when I end up on hold for a long time because they do not contact me right away. And it gets a little flustering.
There are a few things that American Home Shield needs to work out, but overall, we are happy with their service. We have a lot of homes that we have with American Home Shield and definitely, when we have AC problems, we usually get somebody out within 24 hours, 48 hours max. During the summer in Texas, if you can get somebody out within 48 hours, that’s awesome because companies are always busy. I have recommended American Home Shield to people.

I had a satisfactory experience with American Home Shield. I’m very pleased. We live in Houston and when I bought the warranty, I had a lot of questions for them and they answered everything and they were very clear so I knew exactly what I was buying. When I had a claim for my AC unit, I called and got in touch with an agent. I wasn’t on hold for longer than two minutes. Then the guy they sent out was great and did his job well. He came in with a drop cloth and was very aware that he was pulling out something that could potentially harm the rest of the house. He went up in the attic and pulled down a piece of machinery and put a new one in. Whatever he did, it worked.
I had two claims with the air conditioner, and the first guy who came out and dealt with a replacement wasn’t hired again because he hit his quota. I'm a businessman and that translates to me as he charged American Home Shield too much. It's a shame because he lost his next job. But he was a nice enough guy. When I called in with my second claim, he said that he won’t be coming back. Overall, I was blown away by the promptness of American Home Shield. AC not working (80-90 degree weather). Called order in on 5/3/18. They did great and had a repairman out the next day on 5/4/18. Same problem later that night. I called the repair Co. Best Way Mechanical who was back out next day 5/5 and determined it needed a part. Service from both companies downhill since!! We left several messages for Best Way from 5/11 - 5/17 with no return call. I called AHS on 5/18 to inform of delay and request a new HVAC vendor. Was on hold 45 minutes before anyone answered! Rep was pleasant enough and advised she was having computer issues.
An hour later she made contact with a Best Way Supervisor and told me the part was ordered 5/10 and had arrived that day 5/18. They were waiting for AHS’ authorization. The AHS rep told me they were sending auth and the repair would be finalized on Monday 5/21. Best Way Mechanical called my husband on 5/21 to advise we’d have to pay $1200 towards the repair. He immediately contacted AHS for explanation of authorized amt. and denial reasons. They made mention of a “coil” to be installed and some “code upgrades” needed that are not covered.
When my husband questioned the amount we’d owe the rep suggested we take a “cash out” which is the amount AHS would pay and we could then use that to pay toward the repair directly using our own selected vendor. We received a voice mail message on 5/23 that the “cash out” would be $330. I called AHS on 5/24 and experienced yet another hold of 30 minutes before reaching a rep. I asked for a WRITTEN itemized repair estimate along with AHS’ authorized payment amt. and denial explanation for each line item.
Unbelievably, I spoke with 3 people during this call who told me they had no way to give me anything in writing. The last person was a “Denial Specialist” who again verbally itemized the covered part and the denied parts. I stopped him at that point and again DEMANDED a WRITTEN list of the recommended repairs and how much AHS would pay for each line item with an explanation if not fully covered. He again stated they had no way to print out anything to send to me. He mentioned the “authorization department” could but then said he was going to call Best Way Mechanical for a hard copy and would call me right back. By now, these conversations have gone on from 7:15pm when 1st placed the call to 8:15pm when this last call ended.
It is now 2 days later on Saturday 5/26 with no return call from AHS! I left a message for Best Way Mechanical today and called AHS again. After holding for 5 minutes, all reps were still busy so I hung up to try and follow up online. Found this review site and hoping I can get a response from AHS this way. We have been with AHS for 20+ years. They have denied some repairs and paid some repairs over the years. We’ve not requested a written explanation before because those were minor repairs denied and it only involved one part (e.g. refrigerator ice maker not covered, replacing a faucet not covered).
The problems with this MAJOR repair is threefold: We have no choice in vendors. AHS does not give options and only sends the “one” repair company out. A WRITTEN estimate of repairs and a WRITTEN authorization / denial for each line item is not too much to ask for such a major repair. This is actually a standard business practice and I shouldn’t even have to ask for something in writing when I’m expected to fork over $1200 or more. Not understanding why AHS can’t support their authorization/denial decisions “in writing.” The long wait time (30+ minutes) when calling for follow-up on a pending service order is unacceptable.
We still need a written breakdown to better understand and research the problem(s) identified, repair charges quoted and covered amounts per our agreement. This is simply prudent. This is not rocket science, AHS! It is hot (80-90 degrees)!!! Please forward the written documents ASAP so we can move forward with repairs and get this behind us. We’ve recommended you to a lot of people in the past but no more! This is absolutely unreal and unacceptable!!!
I certainly hate to hear that you have received less than satisfactory service. A social media specialist will follow up with you as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.

I would like to preface this review by stating that I’ve only written a handful of reviews in my life, both good and bad. I would also like to add that I spent my early years working in retail so my patience with customer service and the service industry in general is fairly high as I’ve been on the receiving end of many angry and rude customers. With that being said, the customer service I have received from American Home Shield has been so horrendous that it’s made me sit down and write a review, something I don’t do. So here is my situation and as of right now, nothing has been done.
My hot water ceased to be hot 2 weeks ago. I went and inspected the water heater and to no surprise, as the house is older, it was broken. That was on Sunday 5/13. Monday morning, I submitted a claim to American Home Shield. As with other transactions in the past a customer service rep assigned me a third-party contractor, NW Sundance Services, and charged me $75 for the claim (standard). The following day, Tuesday 5/14, a rep from NW Sundance Services reached out to schedule the inspection. The earliest they could schedule me was for Friday 5/18. Three more days without hot water? Sure, not a big deal, I went weeks without showers when deployed to Afghanistan. NW Sundance Services gives me an 8 AM - 12 PM window of service.
I stay home from work. At 11:28 AM the rep from NW Sundance Services calls to inform me that no one would be coming out today as “their guy is busy”. I understand that some jobs end up taking longer than others… But you are telling me that you had appointments earlier than 8: AM? Nope. The rep tells me they can re-schedule for Monday 5/21 between 8 AM - 12 PM. I politely thank the rep and decline. While talking to the rep I did a quick a review search of NW Sundance Services and they are apparently notorious for this. I’m not going to waste another day. Time to call American Home Shield.
I call American Home Shield and explain the situation. The customer service rep is apologetic and works to find an alternate contractor. To my surprise she does. While this is great it is also where things start to go bad. She informs me that I will need to pay another $75-dollar fee for the visit. I explain to her that I had already done this. I paid you for a service, you did not deliver the service. She’s have a hard time grasping this. I end up paying another $75 with her guaranteeing that I would be reimbursed. So far I’m now $150 in the hole and not a single person has even looked at my water heater. She informs me that the contractor will be at the house between 4 PM - 7PM. Contractor calls at 7:30 PM to tell me he is on the way. I’m fine with this as at least someone is coming.
Contractor spends about 2 minutes looking at water heater and sump pump before declaring that the water heater would need to be replaced. Right. I know. He informs me that he will submit the order to American Home Shield and once approved he would install and remove the old one. He’s hopeful that could be as early as the next day, Saturday 5/19. This is great news.
About mid-morning Saturday, 5/19, I call to check in, mainly to plan my day around a potential hot water heater installation. Contractor informs me that they submitted the claim and if I wanted to I could check with American Home Shield. I thank them for their time and call American Home Shield. The rep informs me that they did indeed receive the order but there would be some additional out of pocket expenses due to some specific WA codes (earthquake straps). I ask if they could please send me that invoice.
The rep tells me she can’t and I would have to get that from the contractor. Weird. She also tells me that no one is in the office to approve the work order over the weekend. I then call the contractor and they assure me they will send the invoice. The invoice is emailed to me at 10 PM that Sunday, 5/20. The invoice is 100$ more than the invoice that American Home Shield Received.
Monday 5/21 I call American Home Shield and ask about the discrepancies in invoices. They assure me this is not okay and will be taken care of. I’m then put on hold to speaking with escalation department. I’m on hold for 40 minutes before I am then hung up on. Tuesday 5/22 I call American Home Shield and reintroduce the discrepancies in invoices. The rep tells that they will reach out to the contractor to resolve the issues and will get back to me. Wednesday 5/23. No word from American Home Shield or contractor. Thursday 5/24. No word from American Home Shield or contractor. Friday 5/25. No word from American Home Shield or contractor.
Saturday 5/26 I call American Home Shield for an update. The rep informs me that it shows that I’ve declined service. I explain entire situation to rep. She checks and informs me that the parts are on order. I ask about the invoice. She puts me on hold to call the contractor. She returns to tell me that “the contractor doesn’t know”. I ask for an explanation and she says that she’ll reach out to the contractor via email, again, to contact me about the discrepancies (didn’t you just tell me you talked with them?). I ask rep when I will hear back from American Home Shield/the contractor on an actual date and time when my water heater will be fixed. She informs me that due to the weekend, there is no one here to approve the work order and that I will probably hear on Tuesday 5/29.
*I’ve asked to speak to a manager on every single one of these calls and I am told there is no manager. I’ve never asked to speak to a manager in my entire life. Today is Saturday 5/26 and it looks like I will be entering week 3 of no hot water and nowhere near a solution or even an answer. Don’t use American Home Shield if you want a problem resolved.
I certainly hate to hear that you have received less than satisfactory service. A social media specialist will follow up with you as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.

There was a minor plumbing issue and I went online and filled out a form. Then American Home Shield assigned someone who contacted me to finalize the appointment. I didn’t like the website though. I can only choose one issue and then it locks out the other fields. So, if I have more faucets, I don't know how to flag that and it limits my service calls. And when the guy comes out to do the work, he says that he could have fixed the issue if I have identified it. I wish it was easier and more flexible flagging issues and resolving multiple related problems at the same time. Other than that, my experience recently with the contractor that they sent was very positive. It was the second time that I've worked with this same guy and he was great.

We needed some plumbing work and the first plumber that AHS sent out didn’t do half the work that he was supposed to. The sink in the bathroom was leaking and the faucets were corroded at my husband’s house as well as my sister’s and mine. He kept saying it was not covered and AHS wrote a letter to me and said the same thing. At that point, I didn’t wanna go ahead and pay another $75 because he didn’t do anything. AHS finally sent another plumber who was excellent and he noticed that none of the work was completed. We then were able to get one brand new toilet. They were replaced because the man who came over there to do the work had no hesitation. But the first plumber who came didn’t replace them nor did he call American Home Shield and tell them that it needed replacement.
I thought that if a thing is broken, it’s gonna be replaced. Maybe not with the same item, but with something that maybe is not an older item but close to what was there. The guy did not do it and now the sink is leaking again. Some of the work that was done at my sister’s house and my house was never completed because the first plumber said that they're not gonna do it and they took his word for it and there was clearly a problem there. So now I’m wondering what I’m gonna do. Am I gonna have to hire another plumber to fix what’s leaking that the first guy didn’t fix? I’m going to call and ask them about it and if there is a problem and they can’t do it, I will change.
We have a contract with them then and I began to think if it was really worth it to be paying money on two houses and they’re not really doing the work. My husband has an older air conditioner in his house and we've had AHS purposely because if something like that breaks, it’s $10,000. I was thinking then if they were gonna start saying that they can't repair that. I’m now finding out that if something breaks in your house, it does not necessarily going to be fixed. I’m 70 years old and I’m paying for the service and I’m having trouble with it. So, I’m not happy with American Home Shield right now, we had a bad experience and I would not recommend them.

Updated on 06/29/2024: I've continued to renew American Home Shield every year for the last seven years. I've had $1,600 worth of repairs done that cost me a $75 copay. But it's a hit or miss. I had a bad experience with the other vendor so Feel Good AC & Heating came out for my AC unit. They have been to my house three years in a row for an identical issue. It was not blowing cold. The last vendor left a whole thing of freon on the side of the house. I don't even know where to dispose of it ‘cause there’s EPA. They sent a technician that didn't speak English. The original person who came out and quoted me tried to quote me for an entire unit. He said, “I could replace the whole unit. This is $6,000. You could cash out, but you have to either do that or do this.” I had a lot of the vendors try to solicit you for their own business outside of American Home Shield.
We can't have a thorough conversation with the reps or there's an inability to troubleshoot. It always has to be escalated and when I get it escalated, the person who resolves it is not an international call center, so you could be subject to extended holds. Now I need my dishwasher serviced but I can't pick who comes. That's another thing.
Original Review: When I submitted a claim to American Home Shield, everything went smoothly. The contractor they sent out was very professional, punctual and knowledgeable. I had actually called my homeowner's insurance 'cause I thought I had a roof leak but what I had was a leak from my water pan from the A/C, and it was exactly what their contractor said it was. Then the repair was quick and he also offered something extra. And the leak is now resolved.
Great Stephanie! We are happy that were able to resolve your a/c issue. Thanks for choosing AHS and have a great weekend.

My drain was backing up in the floor drain and my washer drain, and it ended up needing to be cleaned. I called American Home Shield and I set up the claim through the automated assistant. The process went fine and the contractors that came out were wonderful. Lenny D's Plumbing was very helpful, informative, and they explained everything about what they were doing. I've had them there for a previous issue last year and they were very easy to work with.
However, I didn't have such a good experience last year with my air conditioner issues and I'm still having problems with it. So, I'm gonna be calling again to get service on that. Watson's Heating and Air Conditioning is not the easiest one to work with. I've had to work with them before and I had it requested because I had multiple calls last summer on my air conditioning, I've gotten nowhere with them. I had tried to say I don't want them to come, but that's who they end up calling. This year, it's happening again. When I make my phone calls, I don't want to deal with Watson's anymore because the guy that comes is really a jerk and does not seem to want to figure out what the problem is. When my air conditioning is running, every time it kicks on, periodically the whole time it's running, I get surges to where my lights dim. And then, they come back up and they dim repeatedly. That's hard on appliances like a refrigerator or freezer.
American Home Shield sent out the company multiple times last summer and that's the only one that keeps coming. They even tried to say that it was an electrical issue, so American Home Shield sent an electrician. Then, the electrician said it was not an electrical issue but was an issue with the air conditioner unit. If I didn't have that problem with that company being the one that was sent over and over only, I would be very happy. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend American Home Shield. I've renewed the contract because we bought the house two years ago and on the first year, it was part of the closing deal for buying the house. We'll continue to renew it. It's nice to have the peace of mind.

My fridge stopped working. I filed a claim online with American Home Shield and the website navigation was very easy. The company that was gonna come reached out almost immediately, in more than five minutes, after I submitted the claim. The technicians came to repair my fridge. But my fridge was problematic, so they had to come back a few times, then they fixed it and it works now. But the other repair jobs they did were just one-time deals. The technicians were very professional, the same as with any other company if I had called them myself. If you have AC units that are over 10 years old, you need to get a warranty with American Home Shield.

I was in the process of selling a property and the agent that I contacted talked to me about using American Home Shield to pass on to my buyers. My son had it when he bought his house, so when the agent talked to me about it, I decided to go ahead with it. While I still owned the property, the heater wasn't working correctly. We filed a claim with AHS and my real estate agent took care of all that for me. Upon inspection, the techs found that the thermostat had to be replaced and after the repair, we turned the heater on and everything worked like it was supposed to. When I sell the property where I live now, I'll deeply consider using American Home Shield again. It was a good service. I paid for it to use as a sell tool, but it worked out doubly good for me.
Hi David,

The air conditioner was not blowing cold air several weeks ago. We contacted American Home Shield and the tech came out. He filled it up with the new type of Freon and put in an order for a new compressor. Then, he came back several days later, put the compressor and filled it up with a new type of Freon again. And then a day later, it was making this crazy noise so I shut it down and made another claim. The guy came out and it ran perfectly while the tech was there. A day and a half later, it stopped blowing again and I placed another claim. The guy came out and he said that there was a hole in the copper line that bled all the Freon out and that the fan motor needed a replacement. He replaced the fan motor, fixed the hole and filled it up with Freon. It has been running great ever since. We were talking about replacing it but it's working good so we go and let it keep running as long as there is cold air and doing its job.
The AC not working has happened three times since we bought the house and my wife called it in to AHS all three times. She had an issue during the second time that she called but the first and third was really good because everything went smoothly. All the techs did well, were very communicative, and did what they could. The first guy was very detailed on how he explained things. The second guy seemed experienced but he was just more focused on talking about everything besides the issue. I took time off of my work to be there for that issue and not to hang out and socialize. But he did a good job.
Each one who fixed it, I was smiling in the end. It's just that the second guy should communicate to be focusing on the task and not worry about everything else. It was aggravating on my end to have to make three different claims but all in all, it was a great experience. I was very pleased with the response that American Home Shield had given us every single time. It was excellent. I've recommended American Home Shield to several people.
Hi, Brian. I am happy to hear the issues were all resolved with the A/C. Thank you for the confidence you have in our services.

My refrigerator started making noise on a Monday. I usually go online and do my service request. American Home Shield responded within 24 hours, if not sooner. The rep was very professional and was willing to listen to my concerns. The first vendor wasn’t able to come out till about maybe four days and I needed someone out within 24 hours so they found another vendor that was able to assist me with my needs. That was a plus.
The contractor, Big Country Kitchen, was very informative when they came out to let me know what was going on. The technician called me within 30 to an hour out to let me know they were on their way. They were on time. They should be coming back out again to repair it. They had to order the part from the manufacturer so that was my only complaint.
American Home Shield should go down on my monthly premium since I really don’t use all those services. I’m getting ready to renew my contract to look at it to see if there’s really a need for it. But other than that, they provided good service and I haven’t had any complaints with American Home Shield, so far, with the repairs that they’ve had to do. I would definitely recommend American Home Shield, especially for a new home purchase.

I had an air conditioning problem. The capacitor had shorted out and the blower motor wasn’t working. I filed the claim by phone and AHS told me who would be calling to set up an appointment. They picked a good contractor who called and we set up an appointment. Their guy came promptly and fixed the AC within 15 minutes, and it's been working fine ever since.
He knew what he was doing and went right to it. He also gave me some pointers on some other things as well. For example, there was a dehumidifier in the house and he explained to me how it worked and how to set it so that it wouldn’t interfere with the air conditioning. He said that once a person like him comes to the house, anytime you call on his company for air conditioning problems, you'll always get the same technician, which is not true with a lot of other companies. That’s good because he then knows what has been done in the past and he's familiar with your system. Working with AHS was very a good experience.

I had so many claims in the last couple of months and one of them was for a leaking shower. Their contractor, K&S Plumbing, came within the regular time, 24 to 48 hours and then they had to order the part. It took a week for the part to come up and then they came and put it in. The guy was very patient, knowledgeable and courteous. So, everything is now performing good. My water bill went up a lot and so with the shower not leaking, it's great and it saved the water bill. We had back-to-back issues. One of them was the water heater then it was immediately followed by the air conditioning. We called American Home Shield to have someone come out and take a look at the heater as we didn't have any hot water. The gentleman who came out told us that it was a breaker issue but told American Home Shield that we had a leaky water heater and it was necessary to replace the entire thing. So, that was a little frustrating.
American Home Shield told us that we could have somebody else come back out and get a second opinion. However, if that person's opinion was the same as the first, we would pay an additional $75 charge. If that person said that it was something different then we wouldn’t pay that $75 charge. We opted not to have anybody come out. Instead we had somebody else that we knew would take a look at it. He ended up changing the thermostat and it really, honestly, miraculously just started working as soon as he left. So it was really odd that the guy who first came said that we needed to replace the whole thing.
The air conditioning was just freezing up and it wasn’t working. American Home Shield sent Air Smith Pro out. The guy told us that we needed Freon. Then he went to American Home Shield and told us that they need to replace the air handler and we weren’t aware of that when that person was here. It seems like there was some disconnect between the people and what they tell us and what they tell American Home Shield. We upgraded and redid the whole thing inside and out since it was an old system from 1991. We could replace the entire unit for a little more money to the cost to replace the air handler so we opted for that. We’re in the middle of doing their cash-in-lieu program. We went with a different company than who they sent out here. We just sent them proof that we had a licensed contractor do the work and then they would give us like cash in lieu for what they would have paid Air Smith Pro to fix it.
We've been with American Home Shield for six years now and so far, we really didn’t have any issues. These were the two first glitches in using them -- the water heater guy didn’t seem knowledgeable. We were not really too impressed with that company. Air Smith Pro wasn't bad, however, they didn’t have any financing option available so we went with another company that did.
Hi, Lindsey. Overall I am glad that you have been pleased with the service that we provide. Glad you followed your instinct on that A/C tech. Thank you for your patronage.

It was excellent with American Home Shield and the contractors were always nice. The person that would have come to repair the refrigerator the first time couldn’t come in a timely manner and so American Home Shield called Sears and they could come sooner. It took quite a while to try to repair the refrigerator. We had to wait so long we bought another refrigerator. Sears kept trying to repair the refrigerator but they couldn’t find the problem. American Home Shield decided not to put any more money into it that they paid us the refrigerator we bought. AHS does exactly what they say. They’re a good company to work with. I call them when I submit claims and they’ve always been nice. It’s very valuable having a warranty because it's for the appliances that we need for everyday lives. So we don’t wanna go out and buy every time we turn around.

American Home Shield worked on the oven for the third time because I had filed a claim for it and paid $100 for the guy to come out, but he didn't fix it. They sent out another tech who also didn't fix it. So then, when my ice maker went out, they were gonna send out a separate company whom I asked if they could check the oven while they were here and the technician did. I sweet talked him so much and told him that no one else had ever been able to do it and so he cared enough to try to fix it.
But before that, I was pretty upset because AHS told me that unless one of the techs could figure out what was wrong, then they were not gonna do anything. We've been trying to get the oven fixed for six months which was a crushing experience. We were not even using the oven because when I turned it on, it was so loud. We were using our toaster oven for about anything and everything. So although the oven was covered, we were told that the noises weren’t. One of the techs even said that he didn't hear a problem. I've had multiple ovens in my life and this is the Bosch which was supposed to be one of the quietest lines of appliances.
Something was loose in the back. The technician pulled the whole oven out and was able to tighten it. It worked for a few days and then it started making the noise again, so I called. He came back to install the ice maker that he had ordered. Then he pulled the oven out and tightened it again, and it hasn't made that noise since. I reached out to his company and I gave him a glowing review. One of the guys even sent around $500 for replacing the fan but it didn't do anything because there was nothing wrong with the fan.
The experience of submitting the claim was awful too. When I was signing up for this warranty, every time I called to get information, a salesperson would pick up in two seconds, but once I was a customer and I wanted to file a claim or talk to anybody about what was going on with my oven, I would wait on hold for 30 minutes to get through to someone which was why I had given up and thought of canceling the home warranty and putting the money inside to pay someone to fix it on our own because then, they couldn’t take my money without fixing the issue.
Recently, I filed a claim for my refrigerator. Both the refrigerator and the oven are fine now. However, two of the knobs are broken, one of which was broken before the repair, and the warranty said that they wouldn't cover it. The tech was nice enough to look it up for us though and told us that we could order and pay $100 for a whole new set of knobs so we told them to forget it. It wasn't worth it to me since these are just cheap, plastic knobs that have a little piece on the inside that holds the tension which fell off.
I'm concerned that the only reason I even kept the home warranty was that they gave me a new ice maker which did a couple of weird things within the first week of being replaced. It was shaking the door and making a noise but then it stopped doing it. I was also told how many things it would cover like HVAC and our oven which are expensive appliances. We just bought this house a year ago and didn't want to have to repair all these things because they're all coming on 10 years old that's why we bought the home warranty but it’s not really good insurance if they're not gonna fix it when I call them.
Good morning Traci,

Per your review, I understand that the hold times were 30 long as well as the delay to have the repairs completed and the coverage provided to you. American Home Shield is a good organization. I called them for the circuit breaker on my furnace that had been fried in and then melted a wiring harness. The AHS rep took the information down and then provided me with the local organization that was gonna come out and fix it. I called them and they set up an appointment time and they came out and diagnosed the problem.
They weren’t sure whether or not they could actually find the part and the wiring harness since the furnace is about 30 years old. They went to a couple of different supply houses and they were able to get the original equipment manufacturer which is Carrier. They found the circuit board and the wiring harness in three days. Then they came back and replaced the parts. They tested the furnace and ran it at about 20 minutes and now everything works perfect. If I didn’t have the warranty, it would’ve cost several hundred dollars to replace the circuit board, like $400 - $800. The wiring harness is not that expensive but I pay a rate every month plus a service fee when they come out.

I filed a claim with American Home Shield for a bunch of leaky valves in the bathrooms. The contractor had to come back a couple of times in a week but they got the job done. Speaking with AHS company initially was good, but towards the end, it was poor service. They weren't able to accommodate some issues. There was some coverage that wasn’t covered under that was initially supposed to be covered. They had a grace period over which you cannot be covered, and we were over by about three to four days but it was not my fault as a customer but a fault of the title company that was supposed to set it up or they communicated with directly. The title company cost up what was needed, and then they communicated with them. They said it was all good. Then the coverage was never added, and they refused to add it afterwards. This is after given the amount of time of communicating directly and also then returning the check two or three times.
I didn’t feel as if they were trying to help, trying more solution-oriented versus problem-oriented. They were just kicking down the bucket giving me this, giving me that, and kicking the ball along. I just had to pick up the ball and make some decisions and saying, “This is what I want. This is the kind of service that I need. As a customer, I'm asking you.” They just accommodated for that. Also, they could work on their communication.
I certainly hate to hear that you have received less than satisfactory service. A social media specialist will follow up with you as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.

In the first time that I called, I told American Home Shield what the problem was and they told me to wait a day or two. They said that the contractor will call me that day or the next day to let me know when they'd be able to come. I waited a day until the next day, but nothing happened. So, on the third day, I called again and spoke to a very nice lady from American Home Shield. I told her that I called the other day and asked for service. She looked it up and said that there was nothing in there and that there was no record that I called. I said, “Oh, my God. I’m having problems with the pump and you mean to tell me nobody recorded.” I told her I've been waiting for three days and I needed my swimming pool working. The pump was not working.
And she said that she’ll make sure that I will get the service done and that somebody will be calling me. I asked what will assure me that they will do it when the other person didn’t do it when I called two days ago. She said that she’ll make sure to do it and that if I wanna call back and verify, I can. She did a good job because the people from Pool Buddies called me the same day in the afternoon and told me they were coming the next day.
They came the next day and I told them what the problem was. It was the same problem that I had before, the pump. They went ahead right away and fixed the pool. They were very nice. Submitting a claim with American Home Shield was fine and I had no problem with it but it took them two different companies and five different technicians to fix my air system, which was totally ridiculous. The fourth guy who came out said that they put too much Freon in. Then, the fifth guy took some out and it has been working, although I don’t know how long it's gonna hold up. I also had to pay $700 to replace the Freon and tried to charge me on one of them so I’m not too happy with them nor thrilled with AHS at all.
AHS fixed my dishwasher and my icemaker and I had no problems there except that they ordered the dishwasher part and it had been sitting there for about two weeks or more. Finally, I called them and asked where the part they were waiting on was and they said that they got it right there in the warehouse and would get them out immediately. They had the part there but they didn’t do anything about it. But as far as them scheduling and getting the technician out here, that has been good. Their problem was with getting somebody out here who knows what they’re doing.
Updated on 06/24/2018: I cannot express to you enough how dissatisfied I am with your company. I feel like my $50.99 that I am paying you every month is nothing but a big waste of money. I have had eight technicians out to my house to try to fix my central air conditioning. First, you sent three technicians from United Air Temp. Then, you sent three more technicians from a totally different company, Total Air Care. You write me an email/Consumer Affairs response saying you will refund the $700 I’ve paid to the first company, United Air Temp. I have received the check, but I will not cash it because it states that you will no longer be responsible for repair on my central air conditioning. This is what I pay you every month for so you will be getting your check back and if I do not get my central A/C fixed, and fixed properly, I will see you in Circuit Court. I am not messing around with this problem anymore. It is hot in Florida with no AC.
After sending out eight technicians and getting no satisfactory results, I would think that AHS would go ahead and replace the system. However, I feel that all you are going to do is nickel and dime it to death and keep sending out unqualified and inadequate technicians. The last technician, number eight, said there was nothing wrong with my unit. How can that be when the thermostat is set on 78 and it reads 82 in the house? I am telling you if you don’t hop on this problem and get it fixed and get it fixed quickly, I will see you in court.
I certainly hate to hear that you have received less than satisfactory service. A social media specialist will follow up with you as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.

I was having a hard time getting my AC fixed and even getting a hold of the company American Home Shield arranged service with. I called AHS to see if they could provide further assistance. The company, A-US Air Cond of Texas Ltd, only gave me the date, not time, of my appointment. I needed some sort of notice to give my employer. By the day before, I had yet to hear back from the AC company (even though I tried numerous times to contact them - they have their own issues). I decided to see if AHS could help.
They put me on hold to "look into it." After being kept on hold for over 30 min (elevator music & all), they dropped my call! I immediately called back. Of course, a different person answers announcing that they are having computer issues and the only thing she could help me with is taking a payment (convenient, right?). I told her about what had happened and she transferred me to someone who wasn't having computer issues. After another 10 min wait, I was connected to someone else who said they were having issues and could only take payments at the moment. I told her what had happened and she said all I could do is call back in an hour to see if the computers were up and running again.
I did call back an hour later. All they did was call the AC company (like I had done over and over that day) and confirm that they were not answering their phone. So beside the fact that they couldn't even get in contact with the AC company they were making me use, they didn't seem to care about the position I was in. I was told that if the AC company fell through, I would have to be put on another wait list to get my AC looked at by another company. Of course I could always pay out-of-pocket with a different company (that needed to be on their approved list) and they would reimburse me, but I had already waited almost a week (in Texas heat) for this appointment and had paid my service fee.

I’ve had American Home Shield for less than 30 days and am not pleased at all. I submitted a ticket for a request, which was cancelled, yet I was still charged my deductible for this. While I acknowledge this was not AHS fault, I called them to dispute this charge and they said they would look into it and call me back and/or update my account to get a credit issued. A week later and no phone call. Upon calling in I had to re-explain my situation and then found that they had never reached out to the contractor to confirm and have them change the status from completed to cancelled. The rep kept telling me that I had a service scheduled, therefore I had to tell her again it was, but it never took place and they should have reached out and confirmed this to then provide me with a credit.
She then asked me to confirm the contractor came to my house… clear sign that she was not listening to a word I said. I once again told her the situation, she then told me she would call them to confirm it was cancelled and would be right back. Shocker… She hung up on me and never called me back. Pretty crappy customer service to hang up on someone and never call them back, even though you just confirmed my callback number 2 minutes prior. I am now having to do the leg-work to call the contractor, have them confirm it was cancelled and request them to contact AHS to update the status, then call AHS back to confirm when my credit will be issued.

That's not what you told us in your email & text!). We managed to fix the problem ourselves on Sunday. Monday: 9am cancelled service request. Expected refund of co-pay. 10 days later: no refund. Called and managed to get refund. All is okay. Fast forward 1 month later: receive email that my account is delinquent and I owe the co-pay! Called to straighten out. Hope it works. BTW, my account does not show the debit AND credit! Be forewarned... They appear to have a lot of bugs in their process. BTW, this is the only service request I made and it did not work out. Waste of money! I will not renew with this company.

AHS is unable or unwilling to send a trained tech to repair my induction cooktop since 4-3-18, that is now over 3 weeks. The first company they picked was not qualified, the second - an expert according to AHS came and asked "what is this". After explaining what and how an induction cooktop is, the tech took model number and info for the USA part service of my European cooktop and left. 3 weeks later and a million of lies, hours of phone calls and a vanishing tech and unresponsive AHS, my cooktop is still not repaired, even the part is readily available via the parts service and would ship overnight. There are techs in the service area that can repair the part but AHS is unwilling to contact them, even nobody of their network is obviously able to diagnose an induction cooktop. This is a breach of contract as I paid my annual fee, but AHS does nothing for me. I have no cooktop since over 3 weeks and AHS does not care at all.

I called to make a claim on May 9 for a problem with our washer... It took over a week for someone to call us back and tell us that they were too far away. Would not respond. We then waited another two weeks for someone else to come out who never showed up. It is now 3 1/2 weeks and we still do not have a washer and dryer. I called American Home Shield this morning from two separate from lines. I waited over an hour and 10 minutes on one and a half Hour on the other. People put me on hold and never comeback. Will be contacting an attorney next I guess. Taking our money and getting no service.
Good evening Lu,

May 14th: Promise "We will call you tomorrow to let you know how we are going to fix your problem"... Today is May 24th... The only call I've received was from AHS' social media team to ask me how to handle my problem. I do not have a "social media problem". I have a problem, that is supposed to be handled by AHS, since I paid for the "home shield warranty" when I bought my house. I did NOT buy a "social media". AHS has a "social media problem" since I've been posting on social media about their lack of response to my problem... Back in May 14th.
My response to AHS was: "Not sure why you need a "Social Media Specialist", to address my issue. You need to have someone call me 3... and someone to come and fix the appliance. Both the techs you sent, and myself know what is wrong with the appliance." As I said tonight is May 24th... 10 DAYS LATER. I looked up the companies they sent to service our issues and they were ALL below 2 stars (out of 5) on Yelp... I WILL NEVER USE AHS EVER again. I am so frustrated that I actually took 30 minutes out of my time to set-up an account with Consumer Affairs and share my experience, instead of just letting it go and watching a movie.

I filed claims with American Home Shield for my dishwasher and refrigerator. I called in and set up the claims for both appliances. The claims representative that I spoke with was professional, considerate, and she worked on my claims quickly. The contractor was polite, professional, and thorough. But I had a small problem after the service and I have to call American Home Shield eventually about the issue because it has becoming annoying.
The technician repaired the dishwasher and the refrigerator, and he had to replace a panel for both the dishwasher and the ice maker in the refrigerator. After he replaced the panel in the dishwasher, the dishwasher was working. But inside the dishwasher, there’s a little door that I can open and close to put the pod in. It used to be that once I started the process for the dishwasher, this door opened on its own to release the pod. But now, this door sticks all the time and the dishwasher is not opening it. I can open the door manually but it doesn’t pop open anymore when the dishwasher is on. Other than that, however, everything else has been fine.

When we bought our house two years ago and our first year with American Home Shield came free with it. I renewed on the second year and then we just renewed this third year. AHS is great and I like them. I always call in for claims and I’ve never had to wait more than a day for them to get somebody out to us. We had some plumbing issues where my cupboards, it was just leaking downstairs. There’s like overflow in the top, in that little silver thing, it was just not tight there so the AHS contractor put a new gasket in. It was literally like a ten minute job and he was out. The guy was super cordial. Overall, I love AHS. I’ve gotten my money back each and every time I’ve used this. It works out. As long as we can afford it, I’ll keep buying it. I never see myself leaving. It really helps us a crazy deal.

There was an issue with my water heater and I called American Home Shield. They sent somebody out and he was in my house for about five minutes. I explained that we had to continually restart the hot water heater but he told me that it started right out so, it was the only thing that he could diagnose at that point and that I had to go through the company again if it went out. I wasn’t very happy about that because we have had to previously restart it about 10 times before the guy was able to come out. It took him several days before I was able to get somebody out there. A couple of days later, the water heater went out again. So, AHS wanted to send the same guy back out but I didn’t want the same guy to come back out as he didn’t do anything the first time. Also, I asked to be transferred to a supervisor but they told me that they couldn’t do that.
So, AHS had the same guy call me and he told me that it was going to be two to three days before he could make it out. It was not acceptable, so I called somebody on my own, paid for them to come out and they felt that something with the thermals needed to be replaced and that it was gonna cost me about $600. So I called American Home Shield and finally got somebody that was able to help me who told me that they would send a different company. This was actually after I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. So, AHS sent another company out but the water heater was running at the time that their tech was there. So, he told me that there was nothing that he could really do but that it sounded like there was something definitely going on.
He told me that I probably needed exactly what the independent company that I hired earlier had diagnosed it with. He also told me that if it doesn’t work, then I’m probably gonna need a new water heater. So, my hot water heater ran for about 10 days and then I called AHS again because it went out on Sunday and this company came right out the next day and replaced a part on it. I'm pleased with this company but American Home Shield’s process of business was not acceptable to me. My experience with American Home Shield has not been a good one, I would not use them again and I would not recommend them.

The air conditioner wasn’t cooling and I called American Home Shield to submit the claim for repair. The claims representative confirmed my coverage. It was late in the day and she told me that someone would be in contact with me the next business day. My interaction with the contractor was very good. They called and confirmed that the technician would be out the next day and he came the day after.
The technician checked out the AC unit in the house to see if everything was working okay and he said that he was gonna go outside and check some things. Then he went out and he said that there was a part that needed to be replaced. He had the part with him, so he could fix the AC unit while he was here. He was only here for an hour max and the AC has been performing wonderfully since the repair. I’ve had very good luck with American Home Shield and they've had very good service. Having a warranty on my property has been very valuable because I’ve had problems with my job, so the fact that most things are covered except for the service call has given me peace of mind.

My mom and I bought this house together in 2005. For about three years, we had a different company and then we went to American Home Shield. For a long time, it was under my mom’s name until she passed away. I’ve had the warranty for a long time and at this point, I wish the price of the service didn’t go up, but I feel like in the long run it’s paid for itself. They send people that are experienced and know what they’re doing. They always clean up and I have no issues. Submitting a claim with AHS has been much better than it used to be. It used to take quite a while to get an appointment or get a callback. The last few times I called, it’s been very quick. The only thing is sometimes it’s Friday afternoon and when I put it in, it’ll be Monday. But I always get contacted. And lately they’ll come out within a day or two, depending on your schedule.
Recently, I had two separate issues. One of them was for my pool and my pool man said that a piece in the motor was broken and that’s why it wasn’t working but when I had the contractor come out from American Home Shield, they said it wasn’t that. It was an issue with the Kreepy Krauly. They were able to do the repairs for the pool right away. The tech had his part and he carried other parts with them and they fixed it. Since the repair the pool has been running very well and it makes me happy. Then not too long after that, I had an issue where water was just leaking out through the backwash drain even when it wasn’t supposed to be. They came out and it was just an O-ring that needed to be changed. They changed it and that was it.
Also, I had to get my microwave replaced not too long ago because it couldn’t be fixed. AHS sent me a list of all the ones I could choose from, and there were some upper models that I would have had to pay a little more for, in addition to what they covered. But I picked one of their models and I had to contact them because I didn’t know what kind exactly I needed to get, like with the venting. They explained it to me and they were really nice. They also came in and installed it. Overall, I’m very satisfied with AHS.

Most of the time, when I've filed claims over the phone with American Home Shield, the service provider has come out. I had a problem with my air conditioning unit a month ago and when I filed the claim with American Home Shield, they assigned the repair job to a service provider in my area that was part of their network. The technicians came out to address the problem with my AC unit and they fixed that.
But my AC unit started acting up again last week, so I called that service provider directly and told them that my AC unit was not working because I assumed that the problem this time was associated with the previous work they had done. The technicians came back out to see if the previous work that they performed was faulty, but they determined that it was another issue besides the one that they'd been out here for and worked on before, and they said that they would be back to fix this other AC issue. We set a schedule for them to come out and they did so in a timely manner. They addressed what was wrong this time with the AC unit and they ordered the appropriate parts, and they're scheduled to return with the part and fix the AC unit. I've only had one claim in the past year and American Home Shield has been good.

My dishwasher was not draining and the water was just collecting at the bottom. And so, I filed a claim online and then I got an email saying that someone would be calling me. I got a call from a gentleman at All in One Appliance Repair to schedule the appointment the next day. He showed up on time, he was very friendly and professional and asked us what was going on. We knew a glass had broken in there and he took the dishwasher apart, quickly showed us the broken glass pieces, put the dishwasher back together quickly and made sure that it would run. He started it and waited a few minutes to make sure everything was good. He was here 15 minutes and the job was very simple and easy. Then he gave us his card and told us to give him a call or let American Home Shield know if something happens. Since the repair, everything has been going great.
In the first claim that we ever put through, which was for our dryer, the technician came out and he fixed the loose belt. But then we had another issue where the dryer kept cutting off. The same nice young guy came out and said we needed to get our vents cleaned because something was clogging and the dryer was getting too hot. But we did a lot of research and the problem was the electric system on top because we were able to run the dryer as long as we use the timed dry. But if we use any other function, it cuts off which tells me it was not what he said it was. But I didn’t let American Home Shield know that the dryer wasn’t completely working like it should. We have to pay American Home Shield $125 plus, the monthly amount, so I need to figure out in the long run if I’m really saving money. But in terms of service, American Home Shield has been great.

Our most recent American Home Shield claim was for the pool pump. They just changed out a leaking seal on it. Prior to that was a refrigerator claim. I called and then they set up an appointment with the technician from a company locally to come out and take a look at it. The technician was honest and said it was gonna take a long time to get the part because they don’t have them in stock in Hawaii. They had to order a compressor. Instead of just replacing a $2500 refrigerator, they gave me what it would cost for the part of the compressor, the freight, and the service to install it.
They called and gave me two options. One option was to give us the $100 toward a small refrigerator to get us by for several weeks before the part arrives and the other one was to give me the part and install price which was $1000 less than what we paid for the other refrigerator. With my wife’s situation, we had to go for the second option. My wife has liver failure and has certain medications and food that need to be refrigerated so one of those little bitty refrigerators wouldn’t work.
I had heard from other people that when they had something that couldn’t be repaired and the timespan for replacement parts has a very long wait time, American Home Shield would come up with a replacement cost of what you have so you didn’t have to settle for something less. I was surprised that they didn’t cover the cost of a new refrigerator versus a compressor. So we ended up going to Sears and just had to buy a cheaper one. They were gonna give us $1500 and I found one that was $1400 and something. They required me to send the receipt to them before they cut a check. They even reduced what they were gonna give me to what I paid for the replacement. If I had known that, I would have gotten the extended warranty. So we went from a Seas Pro down to just a basic refrigerator. But so far, I’ve been very pleased to work with American Home Shield.
Good morning Steve,

She said that they usually would not dispatch without legal stuff in our records but since we had been a client for 14 years, she would make this change as an exception this time. Then I told her that I had a better experience with the next company and she dispatched them. And though it wasn’t the same person I had dealt with, I was pleased with the service that resulted. Their contractors are good when they’re good and when they’re bad, they’re awful. And you wait until you’re ready to spend another $75, and hope you get somebody better. My recent claim with AHS was for my spa. Initially, submitting a claim was frustrating, cloggy and slow. I felt like nobody had an understanding what my real situation was. After going up the hierarchy with American Home Shield, I got a fantastic treatment. The AHS representative was absolutely terrific even though there were a lot of delays and back and forths. She was an incredibly sensitive individual who did a great job on the technical end. She really ought to be running the company.
I've got the pool pump and the pool cleaner scheduled 7 days a week at certain times. But ever since the spa was here, it would come on intermittently. It didn't seem that there was any rhyme or reason. The file was broken and told me it wasn’t covered by the warranty. Then they sent somebody out who didn't even go out to look at where the switches were. They told me that it couldn't be warranted because they thought that I had two places to turn the cooling spa on. The only side I have was the one by the motor and it worked.
The initial contractor that came didn’t have his act together. He was very hard to contact and it was almost impossible for him to come out. The first time he did, he came out on a whim and kept telling me about how everything in his life was going badly. And then it seemed like he always didn't have a part or something he was supposed to have so the repair took two weeks. I was worried for his mental health, myself and my spa. Finally, Mary got me into connection with someone else. She saw that the contractor was pretty irresponsible about getting back.
The second contractor that was sent did a good job. The first time he was here, he wasn't able to help me program the spa as I would have liked them. They sent somebody back out to my house and made sure I was contented. But all of a sudden, I couldn’t get the things at heat. I was talking about calling AHS and have someone look at it. I've made one call to the manufacturer and they thought they figured it out but they couldn’t.

I've had AHS for a couple of years for numerous things and they were very, very professional. When I didn’t agree with something and appealed, they let the appeal take place and it's usually found in my favor. I'm very, very satisfied and it's well worth the investment to pay a little bit each month because when a major thing breaks down, it's nice to just be able to pick up the phone and have a contractor come out for a single deductible and not have to worry about it. It was obvious what the problem was 'cause the washer arm was broken into pieces. I hadn’t used the dishwasher since moving in and it was there before I moved in. So, he fixed it and corrected it. It’s been working fine just like it should since the repair. American Home Shield worked better than I thought it would. There was not much of a time delay, recalling and getting a repair done. I purchased for AHS Warranty the warranty of major systems to cover the house and property for gas, pumping, heater and air conditioning. The system is consider a heat pump, which is air conditioner & heater together. The air conditioner uses electric while the heater use gas. I paid for the AHS warranty in full with a deductible of $125 for each claim/visit.
I had a plumber come out and quote an estimate on correcting the leak. At this point, I decided to go ahead and file with AHS immediately. I also confirm on the phone that this would be cover. That the gas pipes on the back of the house is cover. AHS said YES. In addition, I asked prior to purchasing the warranty too. AHS sent air condition personnel who transferring it to a plumber. Please note the following facts. AHS knew that it was gas leak. AHS too told to send a specialist for a gas leak, prior to air. AHS sent air conditioner instead, who said they could not fix it as he did not the correct pipes. They are galvanized pipes and he did not carry them. AHS needs to send a plumber. Instead, he closed, while AHS informed me that I would need to pay another 125 to have the plumber come out. I said no.
Now they set up another air but I cancel it and ask for the plumber. Again asked if it was cover and told YES again. AHS was covering it. They final was able to get AHS to send a plumber. The plumber said it was outside the fountain so AHS was not going to cover it. AHS said it was expose to the elements so AHS would not cover. The State of Texas that it was not cover. That the pipe going from the meter would not be cover either. Let me make up many reason not to cover it, what they confirm was cover and preapproved as cover. Other fact - no supervisor, no manager or any person in authority is ever available. They refuse to give any phone numbers to corporate headquarters or to the legal departments. After several weeks of discussions and involvement of legal services, AHS agreed to send a new plumber for a second opinion evaluation of the toilet at no additional charge. This professional determined that the failures were consistent with normal wear and tear. AHS agreed to replace the toilet under warranty. The repairs were accomplished within a few days of the second opinion.
Original Review: May 24, 2018
4:30 AM, we are awakened from a sound sleep by a loud sharp noise, followed by the sound of gushing water coming from our bathroom. The tank on the toilet cracked right up the side, completely out of the blue. I turned off the water and cleaned up the mess, then called AHS. I have been a paying customer of theirs for many years and have almost never had to use the service. It took two days before a plumber could come look at the toilet. He said he would need approval from AHS to perform repairs and it could take several days after that.
Later that evening, I get a call from AHS saying that the plumber said the tank did not crack due to "normal wear and tear" but it might have frozen (Hello?!? It is summer in Tennessee!!) or someone leaned hard on it. He said that is the only way it could crack. If someone had leaned on it the crack would start around the bolts or wear the tank and bowl come together. Instead, it goes right up the side. Google "Why toilet tanks crack" and the most common reason is old age (Translate "normal wear and tear").
AHS said my options are to pay the plumber $300+ (In addition to the $75 service fee) to fix the "uncovered repair" or that I could get a second opinion from another company they send out, and pay another $75 service fee. I have asked to speak with a supervisor, but was told it could take 2 days for one to call me back. This is a racket. I have been paying for this service for YEARS only to have them try to weasel out of a repair which is obviously covered in my contract. We are still trying to decide what is our best option, but I am seriously considering telling AHS what they can do with their contract. However my toilet still is not fixed, and that comes first. Don't bother wasting your money on this scam.
Hi John,
I understand your concerns about the delay in service you have experienced as well as the noncovered cost to have the toilet repaired. I would be glad to speak with you and hopefully, reach a resolution.

I have had an absolutely awful experience with American Home Shield. We called about an issue we were having with our microwave on 4/15/2018. A technician came out to our house on 4/26/2018 letting us know that a part needed to be ordered to proceed with our request. We were told it would take about 5 days for the part to arrive. It took almost three weeks for the part to arrive and we would not have even known unless I called TWICE to inquire on 5/9/2018. They NEVER reached out to us and this needed part was merely sitting in their storage area for days. This is a VERY unorganized company. Their policy has changed and they collect the money upfront and don't care about servicing their customers.
After the part came in, the technician came to our home again on 5/15/2018, and informed us that the part was not helpful in fixing the microwave. He said that the microwave would need to be replaced and we would get a call in 24-48 hours with details on the replacement. After not hearing from ANYONE for 3 days, we called AHS ourselves on Thursday 5/17/2018. They said they would get back to us.
We called Monday morning 5/21/2018, Tuesday morning 5/22/2018 and afternoon and Wednesday and they STILL did not have an answer for us. We were on hold for more than 30 minutes EACH TIME. We were on hold for 30+ minutes on Tuesday and in the end a representative said they would leave a note for someone to call us back. We called to follow up on Wednesday and were hung up on after holding for over 30 minutes. This experience has been very frustrating. A microwave is a very necessary appliance. During this LONG period of time, the microwave has been sitting in our garage after they basically tore it out of the wall. we signed up for AHS hoping that it would make situations like this easier, but it has been SUCH a headache. They never even let you speak to a supervisor. They just take down your information and no one ever calls you back.
Hello, Behzad. I apologize that you have had such an ordeal getting your microwave repaired. A Social Media Specialist will be in contact with you to further assist you with resolution.

We've had AHS since February and recently we had a mini refrigerator that wasn’t working. I submitted my claim over the phone. I spoke with a representative who was very friendly. Within a day or so, American Home Shield had somebody scheduled to come out to look at it. We were out of town for a couple of days so it was a week before a contractor came out. They scheduled us right away when we got back and then the contractor had to get a part. That was another week to get the part and come back to fix it. My husband talked to the contractor and he seemed very nice. He was quick with what he needed to get done.

American Home Shield said I'd have to pay a $100 fee for them to come out and I paid that. When the contractor came, he was very nice and he did his job. He said he knew exactly what I needed but he couldn’t complete the work because he didn’t have the part. He told me he was gonna order the part. It took him a long time so I called AHS and they called him back and they said the part hasn’t come in yet but as soon as it's ordered, they'll take it out and put it in. When the part came, the young man came out and fixed it. He was great and everything is working well now. But AHS charged me another $100. I asked them why they charged me again and the lady just told me she just put a claim for it. I shouldn't be charged another $100 since the contractor didn't have the part and they came back. AHS should have contacted them and said I already paid the $100 for them to come out and fix the problem.
The young ladies AHS got answering the phone in customer service don't seem to know where to direct you to or how to solve the problem. I almost dropped them and got another homeowner’s warranty company because every time I called them, it was like going around in circles. Nobody seems to know how to solve the problem. They call themselves solving the problem, and it's not really solving the problem. They're just making the problem worse and I don’t understand that. I work in claims and inquiry. That’s why I know. And I'm like, “This is not the procedure. This is not how this is supposed to go.”
And when the lady said, “Well, I'm gonna file a claim for you,” She went the wrong route and I was concerned. Is this something new or do they have to file a claim because you're inquiring about a certain thing? And then she told me, “Well, don’t worry about it because you won't be charged. I'm gonna take care of it, and I'll send it to where it's supposed to go.” I was thinking she was going to send it to billing. I had no idea she was filing some type of claim. I said, “Well, okay. If this is your policy, I'm just calling to ask the question on why I'm being charged another $100,” and she went from there.
Hi, Awanda. Please contact us if you feel as though we are charging you and should not be.

I did my most recent claim with American Home Shield online for my garbage disposal, and the contractor was very personable. He gave a recommendation before he did the job on what would flow better. He could just replace the actual part that was there but he said that it’s gonna break again so he was able to give us what would actually work better for us. Now, our garbage disposal works great. And I tell everybody all the time to get American Home Shield.

My over-the-stove microwave went out and te serviceman American Home Shield sent out was great. He checked it out and said that there was too much wrong with it for the parts and that they would have to replace it or I could get a new one, take the money and figure it out myself. He said that they would be calling me with all the options, which they did. I went through the process with the warranty and chose a microwave and they were wonderful about that.
Two delivery men came out to put the microwave in. One of them reached up and stepped up on the stepping stool and opened the cabinet. It’s an empty cabinet that is above the microwave. I live in the desert and there was a dead lizard up in the cabinet. He freaked out and went, “Oh my God! There’s a lizard up here!” I asked if it was moving and he said no but he can’t get it out of there and he can’t work up there with it. I picked up a paper towel, got the lizard out of there and then told him to go do it. He was talking to his partner while I did that and he didn’t get back up on the stool.
Then he said that he noticed that my screws are stripped up there. I told him that they are not and that they are tapping screws. They go in and they’re made to do that. He went, “No, they’re stripped. I can’t change the microwave.” I told him he hasn’t even tried and I asked what he was going to do. He said that he can leave the microwave or he can take the microwave and they can send it back out again. I didn’t want them to take the microwave and he said that I can refuse to have somebody put it in and I can have whoever to put it in, but he was not changing out the screws.
I got back up there and took a picture of the screws and sent them to my husband. My husband is an electrician and he said that the screws are not stripped. The tech got on the phone and his manager asked to speak to me. I got on the phone with them and the manager that backed them up was very rude on the phone. The first thing out of his mouth was, “My people don’t work with dead animals.” I told the manager that I didn’t ask the tech to pick up the dead lizard and I took care of it. And that I didn’t understand why he couldn’t change out the screws. The manager said, “My guy knows what he’s doing and he says the screws are stripped.” I told him that what was going on was that his guy got freaked over the lizard and he refused to go back up in the cabinet and do the work. He said, “Well, I don’t believe that. He thinks they’re stripped. I believe they’re stripped.”
Then the manager said that they could send out two other people if I’d like, but they were gonna say the same thing. And I said that I didn’t want their company to come out again. I told him I would call American Home Shield and let them know I wanted another company. He told me I couldn’t say something bad about them and they were doing their job. And I said, “I’m sorry. You’re not doing your job and I am going to tell American Home Shield not to send you again.” And before the tech left, he told me that I didn’t know what I was talking about and that I have never changed appliances myself so I was just badmouthing them to badmouth them. So I went, “Okay. Thanks for not coming back to my house ever again.” And he went, “Whatever.”
A tech from Garrett’s Appliance had come out before and changed the icemaker in the refrigerator and it was a good job. I asked American Home Shield to send Garrett’s Appliance out again which is also local in the area. The tech came out two days later, changed out the microwave right away, and stayed for about 20 minutes. So, I like American Home Shield and they took care of my issue right away. I’ve only used the warranty twice and they have been great on both times. I have also recommended American Home Shield since then.

My washer was leaking so I couldn’t use it. It is located on the second floor so I was even more worried because there will be leakage. I opened a claim to American Home Shield on Sunday night which the office was closed. I’m really worried about the washer ‘cause it continues to leak. It was very strange that it was leaking from the bottom of the washer and not from one of the hoses that are connected to the washer. I had to turn off the water main but the water continued to leak even after turning it off I continuously wiping it throughout the day multiple times. I was hoping that Monday morning, someone would call me and schedule an appointment.
But I didn’t receive any call the entire Monday. Until the end of the day, I tried calling and leaving a voicemail but no one responded to my voicemail either. I tried calling on Tuesday. And as soon as I left the voicemail and hung up the phone, I received a call back thing saying that I'm calling to schedule an appointment. I ended up reaching the lady who called me and giving her my claim number. She was not able to find my claim in her system so she asked me for my street address, first name and last name on the account. She was not able to pull up my claim number, and I told her that I can give her my claim number and she can pull up the information on the basis of that. But she said that it will not gonna help her.
Then after a very frustrating 20 minutes, she told me that she was just stepping in to help somebody schedule the appointments. She added that she cannot help me and said that she'll call me back when she's able to find my information. I was very stressed. I received a text message on my phone with a claim number and I have all of the details. I can give it to her if they are not able to find my claim but she refused to take those. She was saying that it was not her job, but I just need someone to schedule an appointment for me.
Finally, the same lady calls me back after an hour. I told her I’m glad to know that she was able to locate my account details. I explained the problem and said that I’ve waited Monday and nothing happened. I was hoping that I get somebody come again on Tuesday, and if not, then on Wednesday. The lady told me she cannot schedule anyone to come in on Tuesday or Wednesday and the earliest she has on is on Thursday. I told her that it was past 24 hours and I didn’t receive any call yesterday. She was saying that if I did not hear from them until the end of Tuesday, they probably maybe late. I wouldn’t even say that it was the case and I think they get three business days to respond to that. But I'm a little confused and I don’t know what the deal was there.
After the frustrating call with her, I called American Home Shield eight times and waited through their wait lines. I got somebody to talk to and requested them to reroute me to some other service provider who could really help me ‘cause that lady was not the one who was supposed to be at the desk doing the job. They suggested that I speak with the same service provider because if they were to switch, it would even further delay scheduling an appointment. I frantically tried calling that lady back and left voice messages but I didn’t receive any calls for the rest of Tuesday and even on Wednesday. I called American Home Shield again. My husband and I both emailed UK Enterprise and the lady who was supposed to be at the desk responded through email. She scheduled somebody to come and that person finally showed up on Friday.
He found the problem. He saw that there were multiple valves that were ruptured and because of which, the water was leaking. He ordered the parts and he said that it can take a max of two weeks. Until two weeks, we didn’t hear back from them so I finally decided to call back and inquire. My husband called them and inquired about the parts. They said that it just arrived today so they were gonna schedule an appointment, and that was a coincidence. I had no washer for more than four weeks, from the start of the incident so I had to take all of my laundries to the coin laundromat and spent every weekend there.
We’ve had American Home Shield for a long time and I would say that they have certain service providers that are pretty prompt and good at what they do. So I’ve had really good experience with them as well as I have had similar experiences with whoever service provider they worked with. Either are non-responsive. They’re not customer service oriented. It’ll be more like they are doing a favor by fixing the problem. But we pay for this service so they're not doing a favor on me. That attitude needs to change, and they need to really vet their service providers.
For this particular experience, I was pretty bummed with the whole situation and I would say I am dissatisfied. My major frustration was that there was a person behind the counter who has no idea what to do. It took them a week to send somebody to take a look at the washer to see what problems there were. I intentionally got a larger washer from Sears ‘cause we tend to have a lot of laundry. And I bought a five-year extended warranty on the washer just because of this experience with American Home Shield. I don’t wanna deal with them. I’d rather deal with Sears’ warranty and have them send somebody.
Hi Shamla,
I understand your concerns about the delay in service that you experienced to have the washer repaired as well as the contractor dispatched to you. Per your review, I am aware that the washer has been replaced through Sears with an extended warranty. I would be glad to speak with you and resolve your experience with American Home Shield.

My AC unit was not working. I normally submit claims with AHS online which is very convenient and helpful because I don’t have to wait a long time to talk to someone. But with my AC, I had to speak with someone because they had sent someone out before, and I had to state the situation where the people didn’t do the work, so they had to take that off of my account in terms of me having to pay for a service call. The AHS rep I spoke to was wonderful and the contractor did a great job repairing my AC. AHS was willing to pay for the services that needed to be done in terms of the repair and services.
On the other hand, sometimes, it seems that some of their clauses don’t allow you to get some of the services that you need to have fixed, especially if you’re a new homeowner. They’re covering certain things such as wiring, but they said they wouldn’t cover wiring, so that was the issue for me that now has to be an out-of-pocket expense. But other than that, I’m satisfied with the service that I’ve been receiving from them.

Our air conditioner was out and my son told me that if I had taken American Home Shield out, they would have helped me with that. He had it but I hadn't thought about it and so, I thought I’ll just call and get it, and I did. So far, I’ve never called for anything that they haven’t covered. My doorbell broke and I called them to submit the claim and it was very nice speaking with the rep. I know what’s covered and I just tell them what it is and then they’ll assign whoever to it. And then, within a couple of days, they were out here fixing it. Normally, the company that American Home Shield turns it over to contacts me but they didn’t this time. They have contacted the company and I called and set it up. I have no complaints about it and I’ve never had a problem with them. They’ve been excellent in the repairs and they fixed whatever they had come out to fix.
There was one contractor who came out and he was pushing that something would not be covered but we need to do things and I told him no. It was just too shady and I didn’t care for that one. He had a young girl with him and she was doing the writing and I did not feel comfortable. But any other time, AHS has been Johnny-on-the-spot.

My air conditioning for the playroom wasn’t working right. I submitted a claim and the first contractor sent by AHS was awful. He gave a few suggestions that AHS didn’t cover and said it would cost me $6,000. I said, “I don’t think that’s what’s wrong” and he said, “Nope, that’s definitely what’s wrong.” They then submitted their own claim for the same thing. I had to resubmit another claim, then another contractor came out and told me the real problem, but they never came back. They forgot to submit the claim for payment to AHS and they forgot they were at my house.
AHS tried to bill me twice and then they realized no one ever came back and that I had never gotten any service for it. I called them about a month after I saw that my claim was closed out with AHS, and I said it wasn’t closed and they said they would take care of it. The problem has been going on since January but the contractors are gonna come back on the 24th. Other than that, I’ve called AHS for other stuff and they were fine.

I always get good service from American Home Shield and I've been with them for over eight years. I had an electrical issue and it was my microwave and my ceiling light. I always call in my claims to AHS and it's easier if you deal with a human. The rep was very pleasant as always. They had to send out two contractors because one thing seemed to be a little bit different from the second. Both guys were really good. The first guy fixed all of the electrical issues and did it quickly. He was in and out in 25 minutes. He had to come back the next day with the parts and that time he was in and out in 5. He was very polite and very clean. But he had to call in for the microwave. We thought it was a breaker thing but there was something wrong with the microwave so they had to send out an appliance guy.
While the appliance guy was fixing the microwave, he broke the bulb, which could happen anytime. He fixed the microwave and then came back with the bulb two days later. He was in and out in about 15 minutes. However, we had to warn AHS about the people they send out. For a while, they were sending out this one company and there were a bunch of trickers that worked there. But I called AHS and they dropped that company right away and I never saw them again. Other than that, I recommend the warranty to everybody who gets a new or used home. And half of my friends have them.

I put in claims over the phone for American Home Shield as I usually prefer to talk to someone. When I submitted the claim for the spa, the process was easy and it took a few minutes. I prefer Pool Buddy for my spa and pool stuff, so I requested them a couple of times. There was a time a different company was sent and they weren't aware of what had already been taking place so I had to explain it to them. I wasn't happy with their service, not because they were bad but I just know that Pool Buddy knows my system.
I've had Pool Buddy out quite a few times for the spa and each time, the issue was something different. It had been leaking and then the whole spa went completely dead. A tech came out and the leak wasn’t actually fixed like it should have been. Then they found out it was leaking from another part, so I had to have them fix that too. While fixing the first leak, they realized that it was another piece that they would have to order for the other leak. So, I had to do another request to American Home Shield for that. Now, everything seems to be working well.
Every time I work with American Home Shield, it's fantastic. I've had so many issues with my new home and they have been great with getting people out here to fix things. It seems the vendors call quickly after I put in the request, which is nice. I had problems with the dishwasher, and also with the pool and spa a few times. And American Home Shield also sent someone out for the electrical. But it happened to be something that was SRP, so I had to call the electrical company and they fixed it. Having American Home Shield is the best thing I've ever done and I'm gonna renew every single year.

Something major on our air conditioner was broken. My husband submitted the claim with American Home Shield, and the repair would cost so much, so the outside and the inside units needed to be replaced and we had to buy some of it. The new air conditioning unit is good, but it's not as good as the one we had. We also had to have the ovens and the dishwasher replaced, and we had to pay a whole lot more to replace what we actually lost.
But we’ve always had good luck with the contractors. Sometimes when the air conditioner is broken and we have no air, if American Home Shield calls out one company and that company tells us they can’t get here for five days, then we call back and they give us another one. American Home Shield handles it pretty well and we have recommend them. People have heard some really bad things about home warranty companies but we've had American Home Shield for years and it's always been really good even though we pay about $1000. I told them that I didn’t have any pests in the attic because I had had it closed off because of birds. And so they sent another person who determined that it was the protective cover that were damaged and not the ducts. The ducts are metal and they weren’t loose. So, we fixed them. A few months prior, the water heater went out so I called them over the phone at that link because I didn’t know how to do it on the cellphone. It was more convenient to do it that way. My washing machine started making a noise so I called American Home Shield. They sent a company out and the technician had to order a cog for it and one of the little clip things underneath it at the edge of the tub which broke off. And then he had to order the gears so I had to wait a week for that. However, that didn’t fix it so AHS had to send them back. It took the company three trips to get it fixed. It was three different times and three different men but they fixed it. My deductible for $100 was all that it cost me.
In the past, in the house I was in before this one, I had some issues with a girl that worked for American Home Shield. We were getting ready to put the house on the market. I had four bathrooms in that house and in one of the toilets, the ring thing had started leaking and running down the floor. It was a nightmare. I called American Home Shield and they sent a company out. The contractor that they sent put bleach in my tank which was why that little rubber gasket had brought it. American Home Shield refused to pay for it. The contractor was fixing to charge me $300. He wanted me to have to pay him because if AHS wouldn't cover it, I would have to pay for it to get it fixed. I had several bad conversations with them over that.
We bought a house that was a repo and we knew there were a lot of issues with it. American Home Shield was awesome. The people that had owned the house had taken the motor out of the Vent-A-Hood. They took every light fixture. We knew we would have to pay for all of that. But they were so good, then we ended up selling that house and we left here for Winton, Minnesota. My husband was a contract worker in Winton, Minnesota and stayed about seven or eight months on the job and then came back to Houston and bought another house. And we put American Home Shield on it and they did really well all through. We were in that house for six or seven years. And then we bought a brand new house and needless to say, it was under warranty. After the warranty period was up, we put AHS on it.
American Home Shield is a lot more expensive now than they used to be but they're very much worth it. I paid $700 and something dollars for a year. They cover my washing machine, dryer, freezer, refrigerator, and plumbing. That’s coverage for everything in my house that moves. I got a washing machine that’s almost brand new inside due to all the work they had to do to figure out what was making it make noise. I have that comfort knowing that if my fee goes up, no matter what it costs, it’s gonna cost me $100 and that’s it. Plus they’re prompt. AHS is a big company so I accredit the fact that I had problems with one technician several years ago to the fact that they’re a big company. She was young, probably hadn’t been on the job very long and didn’t really know what she was doing. So the one bad experience that I had with them would not keep me from recommending them.
Hello, Billie. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to let us know about your experience. We hope to be servicing your home for many years to come.

The stove was over 10 years old and the issue came down to improper wiring. The contractors that American Home Shield sent came out several times and they were great each time. They put hours and hours into it, but they just couldn’t resolve the issue so we ended up getting a new stove. They gave me the choice of either getting one through them of comparable value or x amount of dollars then they’ll reimburse it at one point. I bought it over the weekend.
Doing the claim was no big deal. What was frustrating was I knew that I was gonna be getting a replacement but nobody followed up with me on it. It had been several days, so I called. I literally waited on hold for 45 minutes just till I got through a representative. It was unreasonable. I don’t have that time. I work nights and I work two jobs. We’re all busy. That’s my biggest frustration and my only frustration so far. Once they took my call, they were very helpful, expedited the process, and explained to me exactly what I needed to do. My issues have been resolved. It took a lot of time, but the stove is electronic.

I filed the claim with American Home Shield for the hot water heater on the day of the storm around August. The guy came out and said it needed a part. He wired something so I could have hot water and he left. I kept calling him after the storm and didn’t hear from him. Finally I contacted and asked him if had he ordered the part which he said he had. Another month or two, nothing happened. I called back and it was the same thing. Finally after six months, I called the company again and said the guy has never returned my calls and I asked them what was going on. They said they would order the part and it took another month. We finally got the part in, they sent the guy out and he replaced the part. Two weeks later it went out again. I called back and they told me they would call the home warranty people and tell them to reissue our order because it was still within three weeks.
He came back out and said that it's the structure of the house that's causing it and the water heater needs a certain ventilation. I told him that we've had the house and water heater for eight years and it has never done it, so why is it, all of a sudden, doing it? He said that maybe the core needed to be cleaned and I told him to go ahead and clean the core. He said they can't do it because they can't put the core back in the property. I asked him what the next step would be and he said that they would have to replace the water heater. So, I told him to replace the water heater and he said that before they do that, I'd have to re-fix the structure of the house, maybe add another vent, which I thought was absolutely ridiculous.
I understand American Home Shield has to go through the motions of replacing things, but they have technicians who come out and they know that anything that is not under can cause the warranty to be void. For instance, I called to have my garage door fixed because it wasn’t operating and the guy said that I had the wrong light bulb in, so that voided the warranty because the circuit board had burned, but he said it was due to the type of the light bulb I had. I’ve been with American Home Shield for as long as I’ve had my home, about 10 years, and I feel safe knowing I have something if something happens. But every time I call, I'll have a funny feeling that it's gonna be a fight just to get a repair and get the follow up done.
I’m paying American Home Shield $60 a month and I only call them once a year. A part costs $30 and the technician was there for less than an hour. So, I'm really looking at it if it's cost effective. Plus, I go through so much to call the companies that are responsible for coming out to work. They don’t wanna do the work because they’re not getting what they would get if they were just there as a plumber, so they do the least amount they can. They put a band aid on it and get out the door as quickly as possible. The only saving grace is if that band aid doesn’t hold, then you can simply call them back again and expose the crap out of them until they get it fixed.
Good morning Tonya,
I understand your concerns with your ongoing experience to have the hot water heater repaired. I would be glad to speak with you and reach a resolution to have the system repaired.

We have 3 different policies with AHS. We are on the third different repairman that tells us our A/C needs to be replaced but AHS will not allow it. They have all told us that if they give a replacement diagnosis then AHS asks for a second opinion. If the second opinion is non-replacement, then they (original repairman) will get reprimanded and possibly lose the account. They are instructed to repair no matter what. This is NOT what the sales reps say when marketing their company. In fact, it's quite the opposite. They always tell real estate agents/companies how flexible/liberal they are with replacing defective equipment and systems. And then there's the bait and switch. When a repairman comes out for an issue that "should" be covered, there's always a loophole that says it's not. Then we're stuck paying for a repair from a service company that we didn't choose. I have 2 policies up for renewal and will be looking for another home warranty company.
Hello, Marilyn. AHS is a repair warranty, but we do replacements every day. I am very interested in what the tech is telling you VS what diagnosis he is turning into AHS' authorization department. I do apologize that you have had to endure the heat while the decisions have been made. A Social Media Specialist will be in contact with you to assist.
