    Our toilet was wobbling really, really bad and a bolt was broken on it. It was very easy submitting claims with AHS. The only thing I’m bummed about is two years in a row now, I tried to get extra insurance on the appliance and they keep saying that I have to wait until I renew and I don’t remember when I renewed half of the time. So, a month goes past it and I need to wait for another year. I think they should allow people that already have the insurance to add insurance and just go by the same insurance with the three-month wait period before they could use it. Other than that it’s worth the money.

    Our claim with AHS is still an ongoing issue. I had a toilet that was running and we had to call them up several times to get it correct. And then, they put a new pressure valve on our toilet system and that created some knocking in the pipes, and they’re still knocking. They put the pressure control on which is not what we really signed up for. But the contractors said they found that we needed to replace that. I’ve been trying to get guts put in one of the toilets. They kept putting flappers but no guts, and they still haven’t replaced the guts. And we’ve been calling back several times ‘cause it continues to run and my water bill is $400. And it continues to flip off and on, and they said, “You need the flappers.”

    We went through three rounds of that because it kept turning off and on. And I was like, “Why don’t you guys just replace the guts?” And the guy came a couple of days ago. I thought he was gonna replace the guts the other day. He said, “We’ll do that, ma’am.” But they still haven’t replaced the guts. I don’t know how expensive that can be to replace the inside mechanism ‘cause that is what shuts it off and on. So, it’s still shutting off and on, just not as often as it was.

    And then, we have this problem now with the pipe shaking whenever the washing machine comes on or we’re in the kitchen turning the kitchen faucet on. We have all this rattling going on since they replaced the valve which was not what we asked to be replaced. So now, they said we need a $400 part on, which is not covered, to stop some air pressure control valve or something that they said they’re putting on where the washing machine is hooked up. He said, now when they build homes, it’s required for them to put this air pressure unit on. He was telling us we had to pay $450 to get that on to stop this rattling noise, which is no guarantee but he said that should stop it.

    But the reps of American Home Shield have been very courteous. They’ve been doing a good job handling it. My husband requested to get another company to come out but they said we had to stick with them because we started out with them. It’s very frustrating to have to repeat and still don’t get the results. I’ve been a long-time customer with American Home Shield and I pay my monthly fees on time. And when I call them for service, I would like to get it and I’d like to get the problem resolved. American Home Shield is a good company overall. But I feel they need to get upgraded on some of these companies or change out some of these companies and find better companies to service their customers.

    One of my buddies told me about American Home Shield. The service with my recent claim was decent. It was amid COVID-19, so I think that’s why it was a little bit of a delayed response. But overall, I’m pretty happy with them. They have good customer service. They need more vendors, though.

    I've had American Home Shield for a long time (years) and they get the stuff done. It just takes a long time. Also, from what I understand, they go with the less expensive companies to send out like everybody else. Two summers ago, I was without an AC for 17 days when it was 100 degrees out. I understand the season. It’s hot. When I call to put in a request though, the money's out of my account before I even hang up and it takes them days, sometimes weeks, to come out and check out the problem. I'm not very satisfied in that, but what can I do.

    Recently, my AC went out again and A-US Air Conditioning said it was the compressor. They came out again and installed all that. They also put a can of Freon and left. My thermostat wasn’t working, so they had to come back out. The guy did something else and said the problem was the panel up here. It then seemed to be cooling off when he left, but my AC is not like before. At 73, my AC was freezing in here. I understand I have an old unit, but right now, it barely cools the house even though it's at 71. With everything that’s going on, I didn’t want more people coming and going into my house and I figured I need to let go. I have my grandkids, I have a nine-month old baby and I had different techs come in. I know these guys visit several homes, so I don't want to push the issue right now.

    American Home Shield offered a buyout and said the part was going to take 7 to 10 days to order. It was for the microwave. In this day and time, my kids live through the microwave, so I told them $140 isn't going to replace my microwave, especially since it's the over the range type with the light, the fan and whatnot. I said "I'll just wait until the part comes." A day later, the appliance company called me and said that the part was ready and they would like to come install it. Right now, no one is busy about anything, so they came out the next day and installed it.

    All in all, the claim was really slow at the beginning, and it wasn’t anything that they did. It was more of American Home Shield. I wonder why they were trying to offer me a buyout. I thought it was odd, but outside of that, the gentleman that came and installed it was a super nice guy. He was really professional. It was a good company and we're content. The microwave works fine and my kids are alive.

    We got two things that had been replaced by Home Shield but whenever they do replace something, it's usually on the lower end. But for long-time customers, they should scale it up. We also had a plumbing claim and everything went fine.

    The contractors that AHS sent for our garbage disposal came out. They spotted the problem and got it fixed in nothing flat. They were really good. I was very happy with them. We don’t have difficulty when submitting claims to AHS. We just call and tell them our problem and they send the people out, and it’s worked out really well. They have a pretty good program.

    I bought the home in mid-June, and I bought a one-year contract with AHS, and I got a renewal notice. In my younger days, I had an insurance license, so I understood that insurance companies are there to make money for them, not you. They're banking on their premiums distributed over a million customers is going to pan out and make them money so the chances of you breaking even are very, very slim. But AHS has been hugely responsive and so I’m pretty sure I’m going to renew my policy, which is a surprise to me because I have never, ever gotten a supplemental insurance on a product. But I will with them.

    When I lost water to my home I called up American Shield and within 10 minutes, Jones Pool called me back very quickly. They were out there the same day, and they inspected some of the electrical components in the well house. One of them was faulty and they replaced it. The system worked great. I was from Southern California originally so I’m not familiar with well systems. The tech went down to the well with me. He showed me how it works. He inspected the equipment that’s in there. He made one minor suggestion but what was impressive was he wanted to make sure I knew what the various electrical components did and how the system worked. He was very professional. He just didn’t repair the work. He made sure I understood what was being done. Everything is working fine. If I need any more work, they’ll definitely be the company I call.

    I’ve used AHS twice so far. And both times, they were very responsive. The only suggestion I would have is the call center. It's not really the issue of it being out of the country but it’s on another continent, which means the people are not familiar with some of the local companies. Being out in more of a rural area, I’m learning that there are some companies, that do a really good job, have a history of a good job, and other companies, you really don't wanna call upon. When I called the call center, I asked who is on their service list they have no concept of who is one the service list. I can’t identify a company I’d like to use that is on their service list.

    From that point, it goes to an automated system that apparently picks some company on their list, and they call you back directly so I never hear back from American Shield. After I called I didn't know who they were going to assign. The next call I got is from the company they’ve assigned. Both times I used them, the companies were very good but it would sure be nice if we're able to call American Shield and ask for a particular company but that’s not possible. Other than that, the service has been good.

    When I first got started with AHS, there was an issue with my account balance and I had to call customer service to get my claim submitted. However, when the oven wasn’t working, I was able to enter online and it worked just fine. The contractor for the GE Appliances was great. The oven wasn’t working. He told us what the problem was and ordered the part. He came back a week later when the part was here and installed it.

    Before the tornado that happened here in Nashville. I tried to call about the locksmith issue, but I never could get through. I kinda understood that everybody’s phone lines were slammed during that time so it wasn’t AHS fault. The locksmith came out and said that they couldn’t fix the locks because they were old. He told us that it’d be better for us to buy locks and he would come back and install them. Then we never heard back from him. But he called about a week later and told my husband that he was sick. We said, “Okay.” We've been in the house already, so my husband installed the locks himself. The locksmith then called last week and said he was coming out to install. My husband told him that it was already done and not to worry about it.

    The outside air conditioning unit had stopped working. Apparently, the compressor went bad and the technician from A-US Air Conditioning of Texas replaced it. I did the claim online. He came up the very next day and he was very professional. He was in and out and had it fixed in about 30 minutes. With AHS, if a warrantied appliance breaks, that’s covered basically. Replacing an air conditioner is $7,000 to $8,000. I’m completely happy with the whole experience from start to finish.

    Submitting my claim on the AHS website was pretty simple, quick and easy. Downstairs, we thought we had a leak in our bathtub. We couldn’t use it because we noticed that the water would accumulate outside the bathtub from the wall. We knew that we had a leak somewhere in the wall, but it only happened when we used the bathtub. Also, on the bathtub upstairs, the stem was leaking from the faucet. After submitting the claim, I got the email saying that it was scheduled, but I figured it would be delayed because of the whole situation with the virus. It took the contractor about five days to come out.

    The garbage disposal was broken and pieces came off of it. We called AHS over the weekend and the guy from C Mayes Plumbing and Heating came out on Tuesday. It was very quick. We told them we knew it was broken, so he just brought a brand-new one. We also had one repair a few years ago but other than that, we haven't used AHS very much. We have the warranty for at least 10 years now and the service has been fine.

    Everything is going very well with American Home Shield and I recommend them. I've had them for probably four years. They do everything and they’ll take care of anything. When the air conditioning fan motor wouldn’t turn, I set up a claim online and I was contacted almost immediately. It was really fast. Modern Heating and Air Conditioning was my given vendor and they were very good. Their guy fixed the problem the same day he came. He had to go and get something. But he came back and it wasn’t that long. He changed out the motor on the unit. Everything has been very good.

    We had, all of a sudden, no power to the refrigerator. I wasn’t sure if it was the breakers, but I couldn’t get it to go on with my flipping of the breakers. I did a claim with American Home Shield. Electrotech got out here pretty quickly. Once they got out here, the outlet was being damaged, so it’s good that we called them. It was black along the side. There was a refrigerator and a coffee maker on the same side of the room that were too much for it. So, they found it and fixed it right away. I was glad that we had called. The contractors were knowledgeable. They got right to work and they were professional. They were here for about half an hour.

    I spoke with American Home Shield and I couldn’t hear the guy. We had a really poor connection on the phone. They said they’d be sending somebody within 24 hours, but since it was the fridge, I had called to see if they could come sooner. I had told him, “Well, I think I’m gonna hang up now because I can’t hear you, and we’ll just wait.” So, he may have thought I was mad, but I wasn’t. And then pretty soon, the contractor contacted me. I own a rental property and I recently added AHS on because I like the company that much.

    The drain pipe that was headed towards the sewer wasn't hooked up, and then it wasn't properly installed. I did a claim with American Home Shield and it was handled good. D&S Plumbing came out and then they had to come back and do a drain drum for the washing machine. The tech did great.

    I bought a house. It came with American Home Shield and decided to renew it. When there was a problem with the circuit breaker for the dishwasher I filed the claim online. The website gave me an expected time but I had to call them. It said that somebody would call me within 24 hours. I put the claim in on Friday afternoon and nobody called me, and I called them Monday. Then they sent somebody out on Tuesday. The SKI Electronic techs were fast, polite, in and out in about 15 minutes. They knew what they were doing.

    In general, I recommend American Home Shield to anybody who says they’re buying a home or they’re thinking of doing so. I always tell them to check into it. I'm a single girl and I’m not mechanically inclined. I’ll try something but plumbing and electricity, that’s not my gig. AHS has been really wonderful to me. GE Appliance takes care of me and I love my GE guys. This last time with them was with the washer a couple of days ago. Charles is the bomb. He’s the best and I love him. I try to get him anytime I can. He’s very personable. He'll show you what’s going on and he takes the time. When the washer was broken, Charles was like, “Let’s run a cycle, see what it does." He was very patient and he listened. When my refrigerator went down, it took them a while, but once I reached the right person, it was relatively quick. He told me how to handle it when the delivery guys came. As far as my repair people go and the timely fashion, they’re wonderful.

    I love AHS, but I'm not really happy with them right now. My pool pump broke. I got fired from my job and the pool pump was not first on my list of priorities. But now that I'm working and I'm able to pay the $75 and get it fixed, I called AHS and told them it’s broken. I said, “The pool is green because the pump's been broken and you can't run the pool without the pump. It’s been green for a while, but I need somebody to come out and fix this pump.”

    AHS called Tampa Pool and Spas. When I first saw the repair guy, he was walking through the yard with a mask and rubber gloves. I'm thinking, “You’re freaking outside. What the hell is this?” When they first made contact with me, usually somebody will call and say, “We’re such and such. American Home Shield asked us to contact you about this repair.” This guy didn’t do that. He didn’t even tell me he was here, he was leaving, or what was going on. He just came and went. I understand the Coronavirus thing. But what the tech did, he sent me text messages, “Please send me a picture of the pump.” I've been in this house since 2006. The pump was here when I got here, so it’s been here quite a while. I'm like, “It’s not gonna do you any good. There’s no markings on this pump because it’s rusty and just old.” But he was like, “No. Send me a picture.”

    I've never really spoken to anybody from Tampa Pool and Spas. But this chuckwagon of a service dude, he said to AHS that the pump wasn’t working because of the frogs and lizards trapped in the line. How the hell do you know they’re trapped in the line? You didn’t inspect it. Also, you weren’t supposed to inspect the line, you were supposed to look at the pump. What the freak were you doing over there?

    AHS called me and said, "We’re not gonna cover your pump because they say it’s not normal wear and tear.” I told them, "If you look at the damn thing, you can tell it’s 100 years old, and I’ve kept maintenance on it." They’re like, “No, we’re not gonna cover it,” I’m like, “I need to really rethink American Home Shield and if I should continue my coverage. Because you’re taking this yahoo’s word over mine. You can look at my record with American Home Shield. I don’t call about willy-nilly stuff.” Since 2006 I have never called American Home Shield about the pool pump.

    This gentleman from AHS called me and told me, “No. American Home Shield wasn’t gonna cover it because Tampa Pool and Spa says no, it’s not normal wear and tear.” I told him he was full of crap and I wanted somebody else out here. He said he would send someone out. I made a couple of phone calls and found a very nice gentleman who is not on American Home Shield’s list and he was willing to come out this afternoon, and they would not approve him to come out and look. I’m like, “I can give you his number. He has a business and he’s right here and available. Let’s clear this up.” And they’re like, “No, we’re gonna send out somebody else, blah, blah, blah. If he touches it, it makes your warranty null and void."

    It’s been a really bad day and I really want my pool pump fixed. It’s not American Home Shield’s fault though, because they are going off what Tampa Bay Pool and Spa says. I shouldn’t really be mad at American Home Shield. I should be mad at Tampa Bay instead because they did not speak to me, they did not let me know what was going on and what they were thinking. They just came and went.

    I had a part of the pool pump that goes to the cleaner for the pool and bearings were going out of it. It was hard to get ahold of the person to do the work. I called on a Thursday and I couldn’t get ahold of anybody until Tuesday. It took five days. Other than that the warranty deal is fine. The gentleman was very nice. ABNation replaced it, and it’s working fine now.

    I filed the claim online. The person that was gonna come and do it reached out to me. He called me a couple of days before saying when he would come. He asked me to take a picture of what my issue was so he could be prepared. He came and fixed it and he was gone. It was a pretty easy experience. American Home Shield only took the payment through the online thing and I never spoke to them. Unfortunately, sometimes, it feels like I'm talking to someone overseas. It's like they got a call center somewhere else that they're using. I just think their customer service could be a little bit better. Also, AHS can't always do things in a one call resolution. It's always, I gotta hold, they have to call back, I don't call back, I have to call them back, I get somebody else, then I have to explain the whole scenario all over again, and that's the part that kinda furies me.

    American Home Shield is pretty quick about getting somebody out here. If I’m in front of a computer, I can just log in and file a claim and then I usually get a response on the same day. It’s usually just a few hours if I do it early. But it also depends on the contractor if they’re booked to set up an appointment. When I had a leaky dishwasher, we had a guy come out and he told me that I needed a replacement for it. He had to order a dishwasher and Water Control Plumbing was the company that was gonna put it in. It took about a week and then they installed it. The new dishwasher was not leaking but underneath my sink, it started leaking after they had installed it. I called the company that installed the dishwasher back and they told me that the line that they had installed was not leaking and that my problem was a plumbing issue at that point. So, I had to do another service call to get a plumber out and fix the issue underneath my sink.

    I like that they offered specials on various areas. The process is a little slow when there needs to be a replacement. They ask for a lot of information from the consumer and we necessarily don't have or keep that information. The whole process from start to finish is a little cumbersome. In terms of people getting out there and responding, sometimes they're a little stringent. There's not a level of flexibility. Once they leave, they leave even if they just had a mistake and they're five minutes away and you call them. They will not come back and they will make you schedule.

    Also, if they can be a little bit more proactive with having the subcontractors scheduling off to reach right back out to the person and try to get them back on the schedule as soon as possible instead of us having to call and asking if we can them get back on. The subcontractor should have put in that the person was unreachable. They call back five minutes later and you just didn't it hear from the basement or whatever. But I don't really have a problem with my service with Home Shield overall. They did a good job especially for what we pay them and the premium is not that high. I had an appliance claim and GM Appliance Service came out. The guys were excellent. They were prompt and smart and they got right to it.

    Home Shield has been great. In the wintertime, the air conditioner wasn't heating like it should. It just quit heating all of a sudden. I called in the claim and Home Shield sent out a company called Myers Comfort Heating & Air. They came out and said that the compressor was the problem. They also said that it was low in Freon and it would not go into reverse mode and produce heat from the heat pump. They charged it up, put some Freon in it, and it worked for a month or two.

    When it started getting warm, we turned the air conditioner on and it was not cooling. So they came back out and they said that the compressor was fried. It wasn't even coming on anymore. So they put in a order to replace the compressor. I had to get in touch with Home Shield and they would pay for everything except for the Freon. They'd give a $10 discount, so we had to pay the remaining $500. They put in a brand-new compressor and a receiver dryer last week. But it didn't seem right. Myers said they did a vacuum weighing on it and they put in everything. So they left, but about three days after that, it quit working again. I called them and I said that we were trying to run the heat and it was not heating the house.

    The lady that I talked to kinda laughed at me and she told me that I was gonna have to get a whole new work order. She said all they did was replace our air compressor. I told her, "Well, ma'am. Don't you know that in reverse mode, a heat pump, it produces the heat. And that's why they call it a heat pump. It runs off that compressor." She said, "Oh no, uh-huh, uh-uh." I told her that she is supposed to work for a heating and air company and that she is supposed to know this. She replied that our heat pump runs off of a heat strips. I told her that we have a dual fuel system. If I switch it to emergency heat, there are no heat strips. It kicks the gas on. So I just use the gas for the next few nights, and it was cold here in Alabama. And then, it started getting warm. I turned the air conditioner on but it would not work.

    Their service thing says they're open on Saturdays from 7:30 until 5:00. I called Friday afternoon and left two messages and then I called Saturday morning, still no one would answer and I had to leave more messages. I looked on their website and it said that they were not open from 7:30 till 5:00 on Saturdays, but they're only open from noon until 3:00. So I would just wait till Monday.

    They came out today and they said that our brand-new air compressor was low in Freon and it was not working. I asked them what was gonna happen. The tech said they found a leak. I told him that I thought they checked for the leak before they put the new compressor on. He said that this could've just happened yesterday. I told him that I know for a fact it didn't because I called a week ago and said that it had quit working. He told me that they were gonna go ahead and fix it and that they were gonna put all-new refrigerant for us. He said it would not gonna cost us anything. They would try to get the parts out there tomorrow, but if not tomorrow, they will see us on Wednesday.

    All-Star came out and they fixed my garage door opener. But there were some problems wasn’t initially fixed. At first, there was some issues about my coverage with American Home Shield.     This is our first home and we didn’t think that having a home warranty was big of a deal. We were considering opting out but we ended up getting American Home Shield and we’ve been really pleased. We’ve had really great experiences. Recently we had a leak. My husband noticed that our ceiling drywall has brownish-yellow color circles that started appearing. We knew there was a water leak so we reached out to American Home Shield and they sent The Lindsay Company out. The plumber was great. He came and he actually thought it was an HVAC issue because when we tried to troubleshoot a few things, it didn’t appear to be a plumbing problem.

    The guy who came to do that said it was plumbing so the plumber came back and turns out it was a plumbing problem. They were able to get it resolved and fixed at no additional expense to us, which was great. And then, just because of what the plumber needed to cut the ceiling we did have to have somebody come out through AHS to repair the sheetrock. We learned that they do not cover paint or texture and we ended up kind of having to do that portion ourselves. Other than that AHS was pretty clear and handled everything. I would encourage people to have a home warranty.

    I called American Home Shield over the phone regarding the dishwasher and the customer service has been very good lately. The subcontractor had to come out three times though. When they came out the first time, they had to order a part then it didn’t work, and they had to replace something else. Still, there were two different guys and they were both real good. I think the dishwasher works now, but I tried it last night and I had trouble switching it on. So, I'm not sure, but if I decide that it’s not working properly, I’ll definitely give them a call.

    My induction cooktop failed. There was a week delay in getting parts, which isn’t really what you want when you have a downed cooktop. The contractors need to stock their parts because these induction cooktops are not very reliable. It would be great if they had parts on the truck, and they could fix it on the spot.     I initially called American Home Shield to have my units spring cleaned. US Air of Texas was sent out and they found that I needed something else done so they took care of that. When one of the units still wasn't working, they came back. They had to get parts. They did a good job for me. The guy was so concerned that he couldn't fix it.     Water was coming from the sink and it was going to a place on my floor. I filed the claim over the phone, went through an automated system, and was told that the company themselves would call me. The tech from Leak Seekers came out a couple of days ago and found out that it was the assemble piece, the hardware that you get the water out of, that needed to be replaced. They finished up yesterday. I've had this contractor a couple of times and they have always been genuine. They get the work done and their guys are friendly.     I was pulling laundry out of my two-year-old drier and it made a pop noise. I tested the cord, the fuse box and all that stuff, and I couldn’t get it going. In the instruction book it doesn’t really fix anything. I called Sears and they were a little far out, in like two and a half weeks. But I got by, and then it turned out to be when you plug the cord in, it sticks. It’s a heavy-duty cord with an industrial outlet and I didn’t push hard enough, which is unusual ‘cause they checked the cord, I know it’s difficult, but it looked like it was in all the way. But that’s all it was, which was a good thing that it wasn’t anything worse. It wasn’t under warranty anymore.

    I did what AHS told me to and paid my $100 and then let the guy resolve it. When I received the acknowledgement on my text from Sears that they were coming, they gave me a phone number to call and I called them. They were efficient, but they said they couldn’t change the date. I had a couple of questions about timelines and if they could change it, but it was farther out and that was the soonest they could get to me. I was able to get my questions answered, but I didn’t know how things were gonna happen. It was just waiting it out till all the pieces fell together, but that’s fine.

    If it had been a waterline, I’m assuming somebody would’ve come right away, like under the sink or something like that. My stuff should still be pretty good, though. My house was on fire so it was completely redone. I also moved in a year and a half ago so everything’s brand-new. It shouldn’t be requiring too much, but just in case, I got the warranty. It is reasonable. It’s good to know you don’t have to try to hunt and find somebody, and then you find somebody who can’t do it or doesn’t seem capable of doing it and running through that whole mishmash of whether you're getting the right service or not. The warranty is reliable.

    Somebody I go to church with recommended I get a home warranty. American Home Shield had more people so I picked them. The first contractor they gave me for my dishwasher wasn’t very good. He didn't respond. But the GE guy was good. The dishwasher wasn’t cleaning. The cycle was broke. It would turn on, but it wouldn’t clean anything. There were a couple parts required to fix it. The GE guy brought them out and fixed it. He had to order a part. It took a couple weeks to get the final part, but he got it fixed. He fixed it the first day, and then, he finalized it when he came on back. The dishwasher has been working since. He did a good job. I’m satisfied so far.

    I have filed a couple claims with Home Shield, and everything has gone perfectly each time. One time, I went online for a claim and I was told that the contractor would contact me, and they did. My husband dealt with them and he had nothing but good things to say about them. All in all, the entire process from beginning to end went smoothly and things have been little better than normal since.

    Home Shield was recommended by a friend of ours. However, our claims experience is not as smooth as I would like it to have gone. Our pool pump went out. We made a claim. We have three pumps on our pool and the contractor said, "Well, they'll only cover one." We paid extra to have the pool on our policy so we had to call them back. The person that we were talking to, her English wasn't that great. Obviously it was a foreign descent. And it seemed like she didn't really know what she was doing and she was talking to somebody else. It was really hard to communicate with her.

    We wound up paying another $100 because when we made the original claim, we said our pool pumps were making noise. They sent the guy out and he said, "Yeah, they're all bad. You got three of them here. They've all gone out." When we called them and we talked to this gal and we had to make another claim, another $100. So then, they replaced the three pumps and I just got a bill from the company for $120 so I have to call American Home Shield to find out if I had insurance. I don't have copay. Why did I get charged $120?

    And then, while the guy was out here, after they drained the pumps, they turned the system on and another part of the pool started leaking water. It was the in-floor cleaning valve-something. He said, "We can't turn your pumps on until that gets fixed." So he talked to the insurance company and then called us up and said, "They're not gonna pay for that," and sent me an estimate for $920. $600 for the part and $300-something estimated on the labor. I thought, "No, this doesn't sound right to me." He showed me the broken part. I don't know why that wasn't covered. But I called my local guy that services my pool and he said, "Mark, all you need is a new base. $126, maybe an hour or so of labor to cut that one out and glue the new one in, and put your guts back in it and put the lid on it." Hell, that's a lot different than $920.

I said, "I already dug it out, where all the pipes are at. You can get to it." It wasn't that hard. The ground is real soft here right now. Home Shield is going to get a call from us on Monday. I don't know why I'm paying the extra money if they're not going to cover it.

    I’ve used Home Shield multiple times and I’ve only had one bad experience with them. But that one experience really left a bad taste in my mouth. In fact, I'm looking at another home warranty to switch to just based on that experience. The condenser on my air conditioning unit went out and they ordered the wrong part and shipped it to the wrong place. When we found out it was the wrong part, instead of letting the company that came out install the part, they had to order another part and they shipped it to the wrong place again. It ended up taking a month to get my air conditioner fixed in the middle of summer when there was no reason for it, just 'cause they want to use their company and their parts.

    They wouldn't do anything. It's a rent house and my renters are in the house in the middle of summer. I started off by buying an air conditioning window unit for them but it wasn't keeping it cool enough so I had to put the renters in a hotel. Home Shield was gonna give me $75 back but there was no reimbursement for them screwing up. So, I was a little upset.

    They also heard from me but it didn't bother them. I called and asked to talk to a supervisor and they refused to let me talk to one. They told me the person I was speaking to in the customer service representative place is the highest person I can talk to and they weren't gonna let me talk to anybody else. It was not an enjoyable experience. Up until that point, they've been great. We had an issue with the same AC unit where there was no power and they took care of it.

    Atlas Residential Services came out and it went well. They had trouble getting parts for my particular machine, but they were very diligent.     My claim went perfectly. SDL Plumbing had a cancellation so they were able to get me in on the same day. The technician called prior to coming and was professional and real friendly. He was a good person. So it was a good visit. There's only one thing I didn't understand. I did the claim online but unfortunately, I’m having problems with my oven as well. I can’t get it to work. But if I call somebody out for the oven, do I have to do another servicing for my dryer? I can’t afford to pay $100 for each thing. That would be $300 that I’ll pay American Home Shield a month if I do those two. But I like where I pay them instead of having to write a check to somebody else.

    American Home Shield sent out AH Appliances Repair for a service request we made. They came. But the problem was some parts they replaced. The door is not properly fixed on the refrigerator. I sent a video to that company but they said it cannot be fixed. Another issue I raised, that I actually requested a follow-up for, was because it is getting frost inside it. The door is not properly leveled at the top. There is an opening at the water dispenser and the lid is not properly closing causing frost inside the refrigerator. I called but I was on hold for a long time. they didn't respond. Also, with how they handled the shipping for the door, there was a dent. I raised a request for that as well but they didn’t respond properly.

    I also had a claim for a microwave and initially, the contractor changed the magnet in some part. After that, it worked for one or two days but it didn’t work later on. I called and one more switch was replaced. The microwave is working properly now which is good. Another claim was for a repair of the exhaust fan in the kitchen. That was good and there were no issues with that. Overall, the people came on time and fixed the problem with an exemption of the refrigerator guy who didn’t properly handle the problem.

    I've had AHS for almost 18 years and I've had to call them a couple of times. The first time, I had a pipe break on a weekend. Their reps tried very hard to find a plumber to come to me. They called three or four different people before we finally got somebody who could come and it was still Monday before they could get to my location.

    Most recently, my dishwasher was leaking and upon submitting a claim to AHS, their contractor All Brands Appliance Repair contacted me right away. The rep from there was very helpful and she said that my issue was probably a seal. She said she was gonna order me a seal before their techs came out. Their tech came, put the new seal and started it up. It didn't leak at all. My claim was handled very quickly. It was great.

    It's very easy to submit claims to AHS. I just put one this morning on my dishwasher. Recently, Loyalty Home Services came out for a plumbing issue. He replaced the disposal. We have had excellent people that have come in. They are timely. When the guy came to do the disposal from Loyalty, they said he would be there sometime between 11:00 and 1:00, and it was about 10:30 he called and said he was on his way. And he came and he exchanged the disposal, and he left before 11 o’clock. So, that was pretty good timeliness. I'm happy with AHS. I don’t have any complaints.

    My heater has been out for two months. The guy from A-1 Quality Care who came out was super nice. It was like I know him really well since he was at my house like every week. There were a bunch of issues with my heater. He would find a part that was burned up and replace it, turn it on, and then something else would burn up. He’d replace the next part, turn it on, it’d burn up another part. He’s been trying to fix it. In total, three parts burned up, and all three have been replaced twice. A-1 had a specific person from Fujitsu, which is the type of equipment I have, who just happened to be his friend and was going to come out and look at it with him. They looked at it together and had it kind of working but it burned up again over the weekend.

    I called American Home Shield to let them know, and they transferred it to a new place. Now, I have a guy from Blue Jay Heating & Air coming out. And I feel like he’s kinda going down the same rabbit hole the other guy did, and he’s gonna have to start all over with everything. The AHS rep let me know that a lot of the smaller companies like A-1 and the Blue Jay aren’t really trained on the certain system I have. And so, it takes them a lot longer to figure them out.

    The Fujitsu system that I have is a mini split system, so it’s more computer-based. I’ve been told that bigger companies that have been trained on those types of things should be coming out and fixing it. I know AHS has contracts with certain places, but if they have contracts out there with bigger HVAC places that truly have training on it, it might help on both sides with AHS saving some money, and then customers like me having heat throughout the winter. Overall, AHS was prompt in making sure someone’s coming out.

    The technician from North MS appliance always does a great job and he always calls. He’s also punctual. I’ve got to reopen my claim with American Home Shield though because I still have an issue with my dishwasher. It was leaking water in the floor, and the technician came in and put in a new seal on it this past Thursday. He thought that might do the job but my wife actually told me yesterday that the dishwasher was leaking again. So, I’ve got to give him a callback and see if he can come back out. He’s just trying to figure out what's causing it to happen. What he put on it didn’t work so we have to go back and try again. We’ve been with AHS for nine months and it has been great so far.     I’ve been dealing with AHS for many years for a lot of different properties. Being able to get on their site has gotten much better. And being able to pay online is definitely a big improvement for the service fee. West End Mechanical is one of their better vendors. They had to replace my AC unit's thermostat and that was fine. However, AHS has a couple of vendors that we are not really happy with. Also, it would be nice if there was better coverage as far as HVAC systems and if there was more disclosure. We had to have a water heater replaced and the out-of-pocket was over $700.

    I took out American Home Shield in the year of 2016 and in fact, my next door neighbor once told me about them. I asked if she was sure then she told me how she did it. I haven’t had to use the warranty but twice. Once for my hot water tank and then for the air conditioning service. I have two air conditioners, one up and one down. With the air conditioning service (the second time I’ve had to use them), the guy just came in, went up and looked at the vents in the ceiling. He opened the vent and said that the filter in that had stuck up. He pulled it out and said if I had another filter, he'd put it in for me. If you have two units, it would be two up there and it would be checked also. I thought he was gonna pull the thing down, but that wasn’t done.

    He then went outside and said something about it had Freon in it and he had to replace something. I keep a filter for upstairs and another one for downstairs, but I asked whether or not they supplied that. If he was doing the air conditioning system and he was dealing with the filter, doesn’t he check or do that? He said there are thousands of kinds of filters and they wouldn’t know what to have. To me, if you’re coming to a home to service an air conditioner, then why don’t you ask the person what kind they have. He could have also asked the size of my filter. That way he might have a couple or either one on hand and when he comes, that might need to be replaced too. The filters cost nothing and that would be a nice service to provide. That’s what he was getting paid for and that’s why I called him.

    If I told him I didn’t have a filter, what was he gonna tell me? I'm paying my money every month in all the months, then years had gone by and I haven’t had to use the warranty. To me, the filter should be included in too. I’m a woman and I know how to look up there and find the size. I may not change it because I can’t reach up there, but when my son comes through, he will change it for me if I ask him to do it. Still, I have recommended American Home Shield since I’ve had it anyway.

    I've had American Home Shield for about 12 years now because I've had it on my rental property in Georgia and another home in North Carolina. Now when I initially bought this home, there was a home warranty that came with it and the owners paid for that. I tried to use them to file a claim initially and I could not get through and I just ran back to American Home Shield and got the warranty myself. The turnaround time for a technician is awesome, so I've never had any issues. As soon as I called the work order in, either a technician comes out that day or the following day.

    This home has four bathrooms. Two of them always got clogged up. The water just kept on running on one of the bathrooms and never filled up to the top. I would have to turn it so it could stop. Then, I had a leak on one of the bathroom faucets. Also in my son's bathroom, something was broken when taking the top of the tank off. When flushing the toilet, the water goes everywhere. I called to file the claim. The representative was very professional and courteous. He answered my questions, put in the claim, and All American Plumbing and Rooter Services came out quickly so I was very pleased with that. The contractor fixed the bathrooms.

    For our home protection, we stayed with American Home Shield since 2011. For over a month, my furnace was igniting then exploding. It happened back on February 15th and we had three explosions. I called AHS and in about a week, someone was expected to come. But the vendor they sent out couldn’t find anything wrong. They sent someone else out then another and finally, we got taken care of. Apparently, there were three parts that needed to be replaced and they replaced them. I was dissatisfied with three visits but in the end, I was satisfied. They did a good job.

    The AC unit leaked all the Freon out, and American Home Shield paid for $10 per pound, but it was $45 a pound. So it ended up costing us almost $1,000 to get this fixed, but the service was good. I like American Home Shield. I'm happy with them. They sent someone out pretty fast. We got them the next day. The tech called and set up the appointment with me. I also like that Acquilla Air was great. It's twice now we've used them and they're good people.

    Right after we moved in to our location in Florida, we thought we had American Home Shield's coverage but we didn't. We signed up for it then had to wait six months. We got pool coverage with them. Six months after that, we had a problem with our pool and I called in to tell them what the problem was. AHS sent somebody out and then their contractor told me that they needed to make sure the repair was covered. I asked what they meant by making sure that the repair is covered when I had already told AHS what the issue was and they sent somebody out. The contractors then came back to tell me that my claim was not covered.

    I responded saying “So, you mean I paid $100 and told y’all what was wrong and you sent somebody out here anyway and the claim isn’t covered?”. The techs said "yup". Eventually, I got the $100 I paid for the service call credited back to me but then it ended up costing me $430 to get the board for the pool replaced. I never received a copy of my home warranty when I bought it. I have a copy now and I will know in the future if my claim will be covered or not.

    More recently, my ice maker wasn't making ice. I submitted a claim to AHS and their contractor, Sears came to do service. The tech told me that the issue was a user problem rather than a problem with the unit itself. He showed me a couple of things and that fixed the problem. He had the personality of a stick but he did his job. In the 15 or 20 years I've been with AHS, their contractors have pretty much always done a good job. I used to be a real estate agent and I have recommended a lot of people to American Home Shield. It's important to have a residential service contract. I had a problem years ago and had to have a unit replaced. That was $3,000 and AHS paid for all of it but the $75 deductible that I had to pay for at the time.

    I had a toilet leak and two faucets that were also leaking really badly. I called AHS and got the toilet half the claim submitted. I was gonna add on the faucets but then I lost connection. The next morning I called back and told them I needed them to add the faucet half of the claim. Their reps were able to do that. So far, AHS's contractors have been nice guys and they do a good job. They always come within a couple of days. Now everything has been functioning like it's supposed to. This warranty has served my needs.

    There was an issue with the oven range hood. The fan motor or something was wrong with it, and there were some hinges that were not working on the door. I then made a phone call to submit my claim to American Home Shield and spoke to somebody. What typically happens is I call to file a claim and they send me a follow-up email immediately with who the person is going to be. Then that person reaches out within a day or two. Hazelett Appliance Service was the best contractor they have ever sent out. It was finally completed about a week ago because they had to order something that kept getting damaged in the shipping. But, as of now, everything is great. This home warranty company came with the house and I've been with them for three years already.

    The air conditioner wasn’t working. The fan outside wasn’t cooling off and warm air was coming out. I called American Home Shield but nobody was on the phone so they gave me a ticket. World Class AC was supposed to go then I had to call. They gave me an appointment to get to my residence and fix the AC. I was supposed to be at home.

    The technician fixed the AC right away. He checked the cables, adjusted everything, cleaned it, and checked the Freon. He checked the flow. Sometimes, it freezes those lines. It was those wires inside the fan from the outside. He tied them up between, and it made the contact again. The AC started working right away. The guy did a good job. He was pretty friendly, very humble and helpful, too. He gave me a couple tips to help with maintaining the unit. I would like to have the same guys back again. He's a person I can trust.

    It was a very pleasant experience having the gentleman from Precision Lock & Safe come out to do a rekey. He was very timely, professional and qualified. It was a relief to have our locks changed as new occupants here, to know that we are the only ones with the key access to our property. He was knowledgeable, skillful and helpful. He had very good customer service and interpersonal relation skills as well.

    American Home Shield was our home warranty service for about five years with our prior home in Victorville. When we sold that and purchased in Apple Valley, we wanted to keep American Home Shield because we'd had all pleasant experiences during all of the years that they serviced us. They’ve always answered my questions and been responsive. American Home Shield also had more coverage for items in the home, for the same price, than another home warranty service that I became aware of during that purchase. I know American Home Shield had coverage for our washer and dryer before. We needed service because our washer stopped working for some reason. But the other company did not include washer and dryer service in their contract. It would have cost us $80 more to add that.

    Also, American Home Shield had provisions for us to include a roofing inspector, say for $100 more, to come out and do whatever is necessary. They indicated that and when I spoke with the Roofing RX, they told me that if there was any repair needed, that they would be in a position to service any repair need I had. When I spoke with the other warranty company, they told me that they would come out, inspect our roof and make a recommendation but they would not do any repairs if there were any needed. However, prior to purchase, our home inspector made an observation that there are a couple of roofing tiles that have slid out of place. The American Home Shield roofer told me that they could and would take care of that. The other warranty company told me that they would not provide or touch or do anything. That’s what I wanted to add.

    We’ve had AHS several times in the past in our other houses. When we purchased our house, we got them again and we've been with them for about six months now. We picked them because we felt that they did a good job for us the last time. There was also one time when we had a claim with our air conditioner.     When I recently had issues with appliances, I was not happy with the particular people that came out to do it. They always seemed to give me grief. I’ve requested numerous times in getting another appliance company when that issue arises, and that doesn’t seem to be possible.     The tech sent by Mr. Service, AHS's contractor, knew what he was doing. Our problem was the same issue that we've had before with our refrigerator. The tech did what he could do and now, we'll see how long the fix lasts. AHS has been awesome with us in the four years we've been dealing with them.     We had a dryer that was squeaking and eating clothes. The tech from Professional Appliance came out and checked it, found the issue, ordered a part, was back a week later, got it fixed.     I bought the AHS coverage after my air conditioner went out. I had to pay for $8,000. I had a dishwasher that wasn’t working and that was my first claim. There were flashing lights. The tech from Alpha Appliances came in the next day, saw what the problem was, and diagnosed it immediately that it was a touchpad. The guy knew what to do and his diagnosis was correct.     The dishwasher wouldn’t clean and I’ve been working on getting it fixed since February. I had a tech that came out who said that he was gonna order the part. But that was something about electricity so an electrician came out. The electrician said it was all right so the part never came in. I then called and AHS sent me a new dishwasher. They finally got that over here, but the dishwasher guy wouldn’t put it in. I don’t think he was a plumber. Also, I was stupid and sent it back because I didn’t know I would have to pay a restocking fee.

    Finally, the parts came in and they sent somebody out to put the parts in. But that didn’t fix the issue at all. I called them back and told them I just wanted the new machine. I had to pay the restocking fee and they brought the new machine and put it in my living room. They didn’t even look at the dishwasher. the guy that brought the first machine out also never even looked in the dishwasher. I'm satisfied and happy with American Home Shield itself, but I am not satisfied with the people they've sent out at all.

    I called a claim in on a Sunday afternoon and I had gotten an email that AAction Air had been assigned to it. I also called AAction on their phone to let them know to expect an assignment.     The contractor that AHS sent was great. He did a good job. The motherboard on the control panel went out. I called it on a Friday and he came Monday, and then he had to order the part, and it took about a week. Then he came back and got it fixed. He was very professional and friendly. We've been with AHS for 12 years now and I like that I can place the request online and someone calls me back pretty quickly and they come out and they fix it. Only one time I had an issue when my water heater went out, that was a nightmare ‘cause the company I was dealing with took forever to get the water heater. And we had to take really cold showers and it was very unpleasant. It was in the wintertime. And that was really frustrating, but that was the only time we had any issues.     So far – the freezer compartment, the refrigerator itself and the icemaker – everything is working okay. I had Cooper Appliances and everything came out fine as far as they thought it was the evaporator coil. When the technician was finishing up and they did their test on it, the compressor had a problem. So they replaced the compressor. He finished a week ago yesterday and then he had to come back because there was a problem closing the freezer door on the bottom. He came back, figured out what the problem was and fixed that in a very short period of time then that was it. The service was excellent.

    The gentleman that came in here was very knowledgeable in what he was doing. He represented himself and the company as well-dressed and well-mannered and he did the work they had to do. If I was an employer, I’d hire him. I was really happy with the whole turn of events.     Our AC wasn’t working once it started getting hot. We called American Home Shield and they sent Blizzard Air. Their guy couldn’t really tell if it was working. He put in about 10 pounds of Freon and then came back on the following Tuesday to check it and sealed up some of the issues on the line. The AC unit is probably 20 feet from the house, so there’s a really long line in between the house and the AC. He knew how much they would get reimbursed and that they did charge more. And so, the second day, when he put in a little more Freon, he said, “It’s fine. We’ll cover it. No problem.” He didn’t even charge for it. The weather’s been pretty moody but on the days when it’s hot, the AC seems to be working fine. So far, so good.

    I submitted a claim to AHS because the dishwasher wasn’t working. This was back in December when we put in the first order. And then, Valley Pro came out. Then they said they need to order a part, which they apparently did, but it took a while for the part to come. Then they came and said that it was fixed but it wasn’t. Then we called them back, and then I don't know what happened, back and forth. But I found that it still wasn’t working. We've had Valley Pro before and there was no problem. I don't know what the issue was this time, in the service end of it. And so, when I called AHS back in March, I said, “Can we just have somebody else come out and check?” Then A & R Appliance Repair came out and they checked and worked at it. They said it was just a clog, they undid it and now, it works. I love American Home Shield. I have no problems with them. Whenever I called them, they listened and they followed up and got a different person.

    Pro Appliance came out for an appliance issue. I knew what was wrong with it and I told them. They checked it out, ordered the parts, then they came back a couple of weeks later and installed it.     I kept seeing the commercials on TV and I’ve lived in my home for 15 years. I thought it was a good idea to get some protection.     The past few times I called AHS, I've gotten someone who doesn't have too thick on an accent so I didn't have issues with understanding. In the past though, we called them and the person receiving was from out of the country and their accent is too thick. I couldn't understand what they were saying.     I've had American Home Shield for several years and it hasn't paid off yet. I keep thinking maybe I won't have them, but then I've got some appliances that are getting old, so I decided to keep it. When my dryer ran but it wasn't drying, I was really happy that they sent Sears out. They sent them within two days and it was done. The hose that takes all the lint out had come off, so all this lint was inside of a hole in my dryer. The guy was very good. He explained what happened, and he cleaned that up. I was pleased.

    However, I tried to use American Home Shield the year before with the water heater, and they were gonna send someone out. I looked up the reviews on who they were sending out and people had complaints about him. He came out under Home Shield and said something was covered, but another wasn't, so it was going to cost extra. I didn't want him and I called Home Shield. They said to give them a couple of days and they would try to find someone else. I wasn't pleased with that. We're going out without hot water and we needed the water heater right then. A family member owns a plumbing company, and they just did the job for us.

    We live up in the mountains and it's not that far out of El Cajon, maybe 25 minutes or so, but not everybody wants to come out here. That's the problem. I would love it if I could say I know somebody here and go through them. There were a couple of times they wanted to send somebody out, and I didn't want them. I investigate and read the reviews. I don't want someone coming out and not fixing it properly or like the water heater guy.

    My central gas furnace would not heat. I went online to submit a claim with AHS then a gentleman from Southeastern Property Services came out.     We love the service. When submitting claims, I call and talk to someone over the phone. We’ve used the service a couple of times and we’ve been very pleased with it, but we would like for the response time in okaying the repair to be better. Other than that, a couple of my family members got the service because we got it. One time, we were without water and a guy from Sewer & Drain Services came out and fixed the issue. He made sure we had water, but when he was fixing it, I think he put some pressure on the pipe and it caused a little hole. A week later, they had to come back and fix it. They did a great job.     AHS is a good deal but a lot of things need to be explained. If you have a tech come in and they serviced some other product in your home while they were there and something occurs to that extra service they provided, it won’t be covered under the initial service that he came to work on. When my dryer blew a fuse, someone from Sears came the day after I submitted my claim. It was the same tech and he was like a neighbor. A bunch of my friends that I introduced to AHS was having a lot of problems with paying out a lot of money. I said that they were all homeowners and they needed to get AHS. They thank me every day that they see me.

    Regarding our recent claim with AHS, the refrigerator was replaced because the technician couldn’t get a part for it. And I really appreciate American Home Shield for that. For the dishwasher, the contractor said that he replaced something. But for whatever reason, I’ve been trying to change detergents, trying to see if that would help, but it hasn’t been getting my dishes clean. That was my complaint at first. And now, it’s worse. He said he’s coming back today. I heard from him today and he said he’d be back to try to clean the dishwasher and see if that would help because I’m seeing stuff on the dishes after I wash it that had nothing to do with anything that I know about before. But I’m really pleased with everything that’s happened in the past couple of weeks. I feel like he’s doing as well as he can. I don't have any complaints about him because he seems very thorough and knowledgeable.

    The only issue I have had, I was on hold for about an hour last week. But I understand. We got a lot of stuff going on in the world, unfortunately. And when I finally talked to the lady in the replacement center, she was so nice, pleasant and accommodating. I almost forgot about how much time I had waited. She was very good.

    We have an old house and AHS is for peace of mind. It’s a lot easier to submit claims online than to call. The first time I called, I was 38 weeks pregnant, and our water was messed up. It was miserable. We had to turn our water off and I was like, “I’m not taking cold showers, or no showers in the winter while I'm pregnant.” Our AC wasn’t cooling and US Air came for it. A rat or a squirrel had chewed one of the wires. They came after three or four days I submitted the claim. It was the earliest they had. They said last summer that next time it went out, the whole thing will have to be replaced, so for it to just be a wire, that was great.

    Some of the reps that I talked to when we had the problem with our air conditioning unit on the outside were very snippy. It didn’t seem like there was a sense of urgency. We were without any air for almost three weeks in August and had to have windows and everything opened. It really messed up everybody’s allergies and Home Shield didn’t seem to care. We called the company that installed the outside unit and had them take a look at it. They hid off a couple of parts in there with some kind of a special wrap, so it wouldn’t cause any further damage to the unit. The people from Home Shield and the company that they sent out made it seem like it was tampered with, like the homeowner did something illegal to it. It was a whole big mess. It was determined that they weren’t gonna do anything. They were just dragging their feet. It wasn’t the Home Shield that we knew and we’ve been with them a long time.

    My dishwasher claim is probably the best experience I've had this year, and 2019. BA Distributing came out to fix my dishwasher. They were very nice and it was handled very well and quickly. But I was thinking about upgrading my dishwasher. The Home Shield person that was out to fix my dishwasher didn’t notice that the hose was entirely too long. It was crinkled up and it was causing the water not to flow out. So about every three months, I gotta call somebody out here and service this dishwasher.

    I had it set up and I wanted to get a new one, so I asked Home Shield how much would they pay on a new dishwasher so I can know what I’m up against. The rep said they couldn’t tell me that. They used to tell their customers what they would pay but the rep said they don’t do that anymore. We can’t know the prices that they get from their suppliers or contractors. She was kinda snippy like I was getting on her nerves wasting her time. Home Shield has some people in there that don’t know how to talk to people.

    It was pretty easy to submit the claim online. You just put in what the problem is. They offered quite a few different options as far as it breaks it down via system for you. Once you click on that, then it’ll ask you what the problem is and then they’ll say you can put in your description. I’ve been pretty happy with their service. They do a free second opinion and they'll send another person out as long as it’s not the same problem because I had to do that once. Some repair service came out and they were saying I needed a whole new air conditioning unit, but that was not the case. So they did a second look. Another company came out and it didn’t cost me anything extra. They diagnosed the problem and it was completely covered. I didn’t have to replace anything, and the unit is still running.

    Homeowners would wanna make sure that if your air conditioner does go out, they warranty is gonna cover because there are a lot of changes to the venting systems. Otherwise, that’s a few thousand dollars by itself. But American Home Shield does cover that, so that’s good. But when you call them, their hold time is terrible. If you're on long enough, it’ll disconnect you, so you have to call back again. They should fix their customer service. But once you get a person, they're very nice to you.

    I had a leak in the toilet and the leaking was going below the toilet like it was pooling in. It was leaking through the walls and through the ceiling coming down to my basement. AHS sent out A 3 Aces and the guy from there was awesome. I would highly recommend him if we ever have plumbing issues. He was on time and checked everything water-related in our house and made sure there is nothing wrong with that. He did everything even if he didn’t need to. We tore down the drywall and everything. Most contractors would just leave the drywall behind on the floor. He cleaned up which was unusual. You don’t see a contractor cleaning up their mess. They just leave it behind. The guy was very responsible.

    The guy probably spent an hour and a half or so looking around and trying to figure out what was wrong. He finally figured out that it was actually the shut-off valve leaking and it was leaking underneath the linoleum. It had been leaking through the basement for at least two years and we didn’t know it. It had been going through the walls and it finally got to the point where the toilet was kinda leaning and everything.

    We’re gonna have to have a person come out and replace the floor around the toilet. We also need to replace the drywall which the tech had to rip off to get to the leak to figure out what was wrong with it. Once all this Coronavirus gets over with, we can have a contractor in there to fix that kinda stuff. We can’t have anybody come in to do it because they don’t feel comfortable coming to our house because of the Coronavirus. We’re gonna have to wait probably at least six weeks or so before we get it fixed.

    The drum in our dryer was loose and it was making a loud noise. It was shaking the entire house. I called American Home Shield’s number and submitted a claim. When we had a service before this, we started having trouble with the dryer again immediately afterwards. I should have called back. It’s our fault for not calling right away but the only thing about the process that I have a concern about is how to go about it if you have a prior claim going on.     Bear Plumbing & Rooter had been out recently and fixed a leak in the toilet in February. They said that it had been repaired. But it was not. And so, they came back out March, and they inspected and told me what they thought was the problem now was actually a leak within the wall, within the pipe. In this last particular instance, American Home Shield did not pay. They said that the leak was outside the contract and so they did not pay.

    But their service usually is very good. I had one dispute over the course of my contract regarding faucets that were supposed to be repaired. And when the plumber arrived, they said that they only had one faucet identified. On the work order, it actually said faucets. But other than that, certainly, AHS responds rapidly, effectively and efficiently to a request for service.     Integrity Plumbing did a fabulous job. I was very pleased. We had a leak in the water heater, and I called American Shield on a Saturday evening when we discovered it. They told me that they would send somebody out. They also gave me the number of the company. I called them about the same time they were getting ready to call me, and they made an appointment for Monday afternoon. But then, when they realized we were senior citizens, they made it on Monday morning because of the virus thing going around, so that we would be sure not to be contaminated. They gave me instructions on how to have the area prepared for them and what we should and shouldn't do.

    They were here on time and they verified what the problem was. They were supposed to get a new water heater. They went and got a new one, came back and put it in, and by noon, they were completely done. I can't ask for a better service than that. It was an easy process and I was very impressed because the fellas were very thorough and I don't have anything but praise for them and for American too.

    The bolts that hold the tank onto the toilet needed to be replaced, so the contracting company replaced them. One of the bolts was too loose because it was still leaking from the same bolt area and it needed to be tightened, so they had to come out and re-fix it again. They were good. However, American Home does the halfway point and their credit system needs some assistance. Since then, I had to call about five times because they kept charging me for the second visit and told me I owed money even though they said that the revisit wasn’t going to be charged. I kept dealing with that and to this day I don’t even know if it has been resolved.

    I like both AHS' methods of making claims. It makes it convenient to have the options. They sent out J&A Appliance Repair for a claim and the guy from there was very nice and professional. He checked out the entire washer and was trying to look around to see if there was anything that he could do to fix it. He checked out the drum. It worked out really great. With the damage that was done to the washer, he said that the unit was more likely needing to be replaced. AHS is great but I wish they would cover TV and electronics.

    Water kept leaking in our home where we kept getting all these pipes that we had to keep fixing and it just got overwhelming. My husband looked into our insurance and called a plumber. They came out but we end up having to pay them $595 for the service because they said that we didn’t have a water regulator. They had to install one. American Home Shield charged us $100 for the services. They were supposed to refund us the money back because it was not like they actually did any work. The plumber came out and did the work so we paid him. We haven’t gotten the reimbursement back yet.

    A lot of the parts are not covered with American Home Shield. I started out at $45 with them and after a year, they were charging me $55. And I don’t call a lot. I called one time for my air conditioning and the plumbing was the second time. Any time that I called them out for something, the parts were never covered. They don’t cover the parts that need to be covered like a coil and another part for my air conditioner. I had to pay $595. I’m paying for this insurance every month but every time techs come out, if I do have any issue, I’m still coming out of my pocket with $500 to $700. I would tell homeowners that they have to be very careful because American Home Shield doesn't cover the little parts. It’s like you’re paying for years and you don’t use the service but when you do, they’re not covering the parts needed. I wouldn’t recommend AHS to anybody.

    I put in a request for an HVAC tune-up and the guy made an appointment. When I told him what the claim was, he said that that was not what he did. He told me to contact American Home Shield and now, I'm trying to get ahold of them. Earlier, I set up an appointment to have Realty Rekey come out and rekey the locks. I went online and paid the $75. The guy texted me, set up the time and came out. It was wonderful. He was right on time. He rekeyed the locks and gave me four keys. While most places just give you the keys the leave, he went to every lock and put every key in every lock to make sure it locked and unlocked.     A-US Air Conditioning of Texas came out three times for our recent claim with AHS. The first one, I received a text message on Thursday, the 12th, saying that there was a contractor assigned to our request. He called us Friday to let us know he’d be on Monday. And so, he came in Monday, the 16th. But, since it was frozen over, he had to wait for it to defrost, so he came back Tuesday, and that’s when he added the Freon. American Home Shield covers $10 worth and so we paid $140 out of our pocket.

    But, the next day, again it was not working, and we checked to see if it was frozen over, and it was, so we called it in. But we made sure to get it to defrost by turning on the heater. That’s what he told us to do. So, we got a service contractor assigned and he came Wednesday and he said there was a leak, something was loose that he had to tighten up. But then, again, 24 hours later, it was not working.

    So, Tuesday, the 31st, someone was assigned. So, Wednesday, the 1st, the same company came, but we asked for someone else to come because those two times, it was the same contractor. We requested another contractor to have a fresh set of eyes ‘cause obviously he was overlooking something. A gentleman came by on Wednesday and he said that the conductor was burnt out, so he had to replace that. And it was a piece that was outside and he said that that was something that the first contractor should’ve caught. Since then, it's been fine and it's been cooling. Everything is working like it should be. We haven’t had any issues. I'm not satisfied though. The last contractor fixed it, which should have been fixed the first time. So, if I would have had that experience the first time, I would be satisfied. But because I had to have this same company come out three different times, I’m dissatisfied.

    The garage door mechanism wasn't working so I filed a claim to AHS over the telephone. They gave a four-hour window to expect the contractors and they met it. Sam's Garage Doors came and they did their job. They were excellent. We've been using AHS on and off for 18 years between my last two houses. But I've had multiple problems with them over the last couple of years. Many of the vendors they've sent out just look for reasons to say the warranty doesn't apply. 30% of them are good and 70% of them are 1-star companies. I've disputed twice and had AHS send somebody else. I made the request that it has to be 3 stars or higher on a Yelp or whatever review but we can't pick our contractor. The home warranty has contractors that they work with.

    One time, the air conditioning wasn't working and the vendor said they thought I have a blockage in my wall and that they need me to tear the walls open for them to see. I had a private guy come out and fix the problem in five minutes. They made it unappealing for them to do the work so they could not have to fix the problem and not honor the warranty. AHS has taken care of some problems but if there was another decent company out there, we'd use another decent company.

    It's helpful to have a home warranty but sometimes it takes a long time to process the claim. It gets done but it can be multiple visits and a headache to have it happen. Also, AHS should have more operators 'cause sometimes it takes forever to be on hold with them. Recently, a piece of the furnace needed to be replaced. We've also had other claims and they're about the same issues. Sometimes, it takes a while but it usually gets solved eventually.

    We got a text message before the person was gonna be there and the technician came in on time. He was professional and nice. He pointed out that we had two different brands of locks in the house, and I didn’t know that. He gave us a couple of solutions to some literal key issues that we had had in the house too. We got some advice about how we could fix a security situation and it was very helpful. However, we were mistaken on the type of service that was gonna be taking place the day he was there to change the mechanism in the lock. It deals with the key, and we thought he was taking the whole apparatus out and replacing it with a double-sided deadbolt, one that takes keys on both sides. After discussing it with him and the company, we realized that was our mistake.

    We’ve never had a rekey done before and I didn’t know what that meant when we requested the service. Had there been some explanation of what exactly that service would be, then we probably would’ve gone a different direction to save everybody a bit of time and money. Still, American Home Shield was able to make an exception in our policy and refunded our money. They went above and beyond. It was a good experience.

    The refrigerator stopped refrigerating and a fellow showed up, opened the back of the refrigerator and found a plug connection that had somehow fallen out for reasons unknown and the compressor wouldn’t run. He quickly plugged that back together and lo and behold, the thing started cooling again. He managed to fix it in a very short period of time. He was friendly and knowledgeable too. He got right to it and did all the usual things, including removing issues and laying out protection for our stuff while he worked and cleaned up after himself.

    We’ve seen servicemen come before and they’ve done this sort of thing, and he did a very professional job. He was timely too. We didn’t have to wait forever. When we called in for the service, it sounded like we were going to be without refrigeration for several days. I called directly to make an appointment and they said they wished that American Home Shield wouldn’t make appointments for them. Anyway, the contracting company got somebody out the next day and now, it's working fine. We used to have Sears Home Warranty and they were constantly trying to pair us up with people that weren’t very responsive. We lucked out a couple of times, but I had to make phone calls to get things to happen, and American Home Shield works better.

    One of the service people that came out was also a subcontractor from American Home Shield. He liked them a lot better, so we took his advice and decided okay. I carried a duplicate coverage for a month then we dropped Sears and we’ve been happy with American Home Shield, so far. They've only had to service our stuff once but they did it fine and efficiently. They got the job done and we really appreciate them. We’ve told some of our family members about the problems with Sears home insurance and that we had gone with American Home Shield and we liked it better. It’s certainly a better price. We’re paying less to get a higher deductible.

    SWAT Plumbing came out and replaced a tankless water heater. They are fine as of today. But the entire process took three weeks because when they came out to diagnose the water heater, they said it would take a week for it to come in. And when it came in, they said it was a wrong part. So, they had to reorder it, which took another week. And then, when they came in to install it, on the first day after it was installed, it ran cold right after they left. So, they came back the next day and said that the first person did not finish the job properly. I’m happy now. And AHS is okay and they're excellent.

    Drywall Masters came and fixed my leaking pipe. They had to break the drywall to do it, then they came and fixed it. Everything is good. That job is done. Then for my washer, the first time that the contractor came, they didn't fix it properly. Then I called them. I told them they're not going to charge my $100, etc. They came three times. Someone charged $100. They reimbursed the $100 again. Then I told them, the job is not done, so same situation. Then the third person came and he fixed it, but the washing machine still had some noise coming from the washing machine at the end of the cycle. That guy told me that we have to replace the sump underneath. That's where the vibration was coming from. They told me they were going to order the parts and everything that this situation I can call anyone to come and fix that one. They at least made some time. I'm not using the washing machine right now.

    The thing is, now, I don't know what to do. I can't bring a person to house. We don't know what's going on. We are in a blind spot monitor right now. Then, that company called me, "We are ready to come. We got the parts for the sump. We are coming tomorrow." I told them, "No. You can't come that day. You can't talk to anyone right now." Then they told me, "Oh, you have to call within three days. Otherwise, this job is cancelled." "What are you talking about? I'm going to talk to American Shield. They will take care of this one. That's your job. I will call them. I can't bring any people to fix this one right now. I want to fix it."

    The thing is, with the situation now, we can't bring anyone at home. We don't know who's coming with the disease and all. They called me one week ago. They wanted to come today, same date, but I told them not to. We don't know where the tech is coming from, what house he went before. But I want to fix that washing machine. It's very important. We had to wash clothes every day. I wash using my hands right now, put soap and put the clothes outside. But other than that, I'm very happy with Home Shield. They're very good.

    AHS has been great up until this year. We've had quite a few claims with them. They’ve been punctual, had people here to repair inside the 24 hours period and get the job was done properly. We had two appliances replaced and they did a very good job. My only complaint and problem was they said our new price is gonna double. I understand going up a little bit, but not double. When it comes to renewal, I'll have that conversation with them again, and either they'll change their mind and I'll have to go with somebody else. I had a couple of the guys switch over to American Home Shield and they’ve had nothing but good luck with them. I’ve been pleased.

    We’ve had great experiences with AHS. We had our issue with our refrigerator. It wasn’t cooling, and it wasn’t making ice very well.     I had a problem with the refrigerator, and I couldn’t get my previous home warranty company to answer their phone. They put me on hold for hours. I contacted their home office in Florida and finally got the problem taken care of. But after that experience, I decided to go with somebody else and AHS was it. I’m happy with AHS. They have always been very prompt and they’ve done their job very well. I do have a problem trying to get ahold of them once in a while and that’s because if I go online, for some reason, it won’t accept my member number or my zip code. Normally, I am put on hold for 10 or 15 minutes when I call them. Then they get online, I tell them what my problem is and they take care of it.

    We had a refrigerator ice machine that decided not to work. AHS sent someone out promptly, within a couple of days. The tech checked it out and said they'd order the part and they'd get back to me. They finally came back with the part and installed it but it didn’t fix the problem. They notified AHS that they had fixed the problem when they hadn’t. I called AHS directly that time and told them to get me another repair company and they did. The repair company came out and immediately solved the problem. By opening the door to the freezer, after a while, it caused the wires to the ice machine to separate so they put those wires back together. It worked fine for about 6 months, then it did the same thing again. I called them back and they came back and redid what they had done before and put the wiring back together. Since then, it hasn’t happened again.

    Except for that first contractor that put in the 2 parts and really didn’t accomplish anything, in most cases, whoever AHS assigned to do the work has done a very god job. The last contractor was Swift Electric and they checked thoroughly because of water leaking on the floor underneath the refrigerator, but it doesn’t do it all the time. I called my favorite plumber first which is Graham Plumbing in Katy, Texas. AHS might want to put them on their list ‘cause they’re outstanding. They came out and checked the back of the refrigerator for the waterline making sure everything was good there. They could not find any problem with the waterline to the icemaker. They said there is a pan underneath the refrigerator that appeared to have had water in it, but it had dried up. They said it has nothing to do with the actual plumbing, so we had to get an appliance company.

    Swift checked the very same thing. They agreed with Graham Plumbing that it wasn’t the waterline to the icemaker, and that there was a pan underneath the refrigerator, but they couldn’t tell that it was leaking. They ran some water through the water dispenser and said take a picture if the water started showing up on the floor again. About a day later, there was water on the floor. I took a picture of it and I sent it to them. They called me and said they were going to replace the pan, and that’s the last I've heard of them. They’re ordering that part and they will be calling me, then they'll come out and replace the pan.

    Submitting the claim for the hood over my stove was easy. I just went online and wrote in what was wrong. They then said, “Okay. Call this number.” I called the number and made an appointment. Star Services came out when they said they were gonna come out and looked at it. There are two breakers in there and they said that both were bad. They had to replace it. They said to give them a couple of days and that they had to order the part.

    I got an email showing me that they ordered the part. It was easy and simple. And then when it came in, they called me and said that the parts were and that they were gonna come out. They called on a Friday and the earliest they could come out was Monday. They then came out and put it in. I know my policy is up soon and I’m not gonna renew it because we're selling the house and going into a rental. We’re having a house built, so I probably won’t have one there for however long the home warranty is for, but after that, I’ll probably get another one.

    Kintex Plumbing came out to take a look at our plumbing issue. They diagnosed the problem. It took a week for them to get a part, which is way too long. I had to follow up with them several times to make sure that the part was even ordered ‘cause I didn’t understand why it would take so long for them to receive the part. They came out a week later, replaced the drain line and it still leaks, but I don’t wanna pay another $100 for them to come out and fix it.

    My largest dislike for American Home Shield is they seem to work with vendors that don’t take American Home Shield clients as a priority. And the vendors do a lot of band-aiding and not fixing. For instance, I’ve had three different vendors over the course of 12 months come out to my home six times for my AC. It happened three times last year. They did an AC maintenance and then the maintenance identified that there was a problem. So, I gotta pay for the maintenance and then they identified the problem but they couldn’t fix the problem.

    Now I gotta pay for somebody to come out and fix the problem. I paid for somebody to come and fix the problem, then they didn’t fix the problem. They came back out to fix the problem and they still didn’t fix the problem only for American Home Shield to send another vendor to my house a couple of months later to fix the problem that the first and the second guy could have very easily fixed, only for this year, right time for the AC to start again, the same problem that I had that was identified last year is the problem this year only to find out that I needed a new evaporation coil, which the vendor this year said, I probably needed it last year. But it was never identified.

    American Home Shield covers evaporation coil but they don’t cover the primary or the secondary floating device, so that’s $300. They don’t cover the drain pan, so that’s another $200. So, now I’m $500. They only cover $10 for the refrigerant and I need 12 pounds of refrigerant and the refrigerant is $40 a pound, so that’s $360 that I have to pay and there’s no way for me to know if they’ve actually put 12 pounds of refrigerant in my system or not. Because the guy who came in to put in the motherboard who was different than the guy who came in to put in the evaporator coil who was different than the first guy that came out and said that my unit might hold 12 pounds but it’s generally somewhere between 10 to 12 pounds because that’s his years of experience. I was like, I didn’t pay for 10 to 12 pounds. I paid for 12 pounds.

    Once they identified the evaporation coil needed to be fixed, they ordered the evaporation coil, came back out to insert in the evaporation coil only to find that the motherboard for the furnace didn’t work. So, they had to reorder another motherboard for the furnace. However, the motherboard for the furnace was replaced by the vendor last year.

    Big Country came out to fix my ice maker. I called them, they explained that I wasn’t a priority, so it took them almost two weeks to come out just to fix my ice maker. They installed what looked like a new ice maker ‘cause it came in a box and it was all nice only for that ice maker to break a day after they installed it. And I had to wait until this morning to call them and say, “the ice maker that you installed broke. Y’all need to come and fix it.” And now I’m gonna have to wait a week for them to come back and fix it. And they couldn’t explain to me why a supposedly new ice maker broke.

    I have a water heater that is leaking. Have been chasing them since 10 days now and rolling as a ball between contractor and AHS. No solution till date. Contractor assigned is low in rating but super high on prices when it comes to out of pocket items. The contractor charges you much more than what you will pay outside. Few items which can be reused are not being reused as the contractor wants to get more of the work order. Unnecessary items are put on the out of pocket. Heater cost is $700 but the out of pocket accessories pricing of the contractor is $1000. You cannot refuse or negotiate with the contractor on these things as he know you are stuck. :( You are stuck in-between. Cash outs pay for item but not for labor. Makes me think I am caught in a warranty scam as it is not worth it....

    My AC unit was not getting cold like before. I submitted a claim to American Home Shield and the information was easy to input. I got a call back within 24 hours about arranging a business to diagnose and repair my issue. Bella Heat & Air came to diagnose my problem. However, the condenser was still too cold and the techs had to come back. I turned it off for around five hours and it still wasn't in the position where they could still diagnose the issue. They came out a second time. The unit needed some more refrigerant and one part had to be replaced. They got that done within an hour and a half.     It took a while for me to get somebody out here. From the beginning, I was having a hard time because I couldn’t get an answer and Home Shield was just apologizing and apologizing. I couldn’t get through and they would move the call and nobody would call me back. So, when the issue started in January, I didn’t have a good experience. I know at first Home Shield didn’t have any contractor for Galt that’s why it took so long. I was getting somebody from different areas, like from Sacramento, and I was almost two months without a dryer and then without having somebody to follow-up or call me. I had to call several times and they couldn’t give me an answer, and I was just on hold. It’s the same issue that I’ve been having with my dryer, and so it was never corrected.

    I took pictures of the service that I received with Galloway and I reached out to their manager and sent them pictures of how they left my dryer because they put it back together and the felt was all inside the dryer. The guy apologized, but said, “You have the time to look through American Home Shield. I can’t do anything about it now.” But I let him know and I decided aside from the warranty, that’s what kind of service we’re receiving from the contractors. So, he was like, “Thanks for letting me know, but you have to contact their warranty.” And then we went on to another contractor and then the last was L & S.

    Now this last experience I’ve had with L & S was good. They came out right away, and because they’re local, they came that same day. They saw other issues that were happening from the prior techs. This last service I had, I had already paid my $100 deductible and then the time elapsed so Home Shield made me have another deductible of a $100 and I told them I never had the issue solved. So, they ended up giving me a credit for the 100. They credited me back the 100 so I only had the first deductible. We’ve had the same dyer for several years and it has worked fine. But it’s taken care of right now.

    AHS's contractor, RG Plumbing & Rooter came out for an issue at my place and their tech had to replace the seal in my toilet which they thought they were leaking. It was a fantastic experience. I’ve heard so many negative things about home warranties - how they try to give you the runaround and how they don’t replace things. So, I was expecting it to be a bad experience. It wasn't and now I want information on how to extend my warranty.

    We talked to a couple of friends that had American Home Shield and they were happy with it so we decided to go with it. We've been with them since November of last year. They sent out Busy Bee for an appliance issue we had and that went very well. The tech has been here a couple of times working on our refrigerator and we’ve been quite impressed with him. He seems really knowledgeable. We’d had other repairmen from time to time on different things and we really think that the fellow from the Busy Bee was very good. He was professional, didn't leave a mess, and did a good job.

    I submitted a claim to AHS because the toilet kept running. You flushed it, it kept running. It would stop, and then, it would run again. The contractor came out. He made the adjustment on there and he fixed it. He was very much on time and he was friendly too. So far, so good. I had coverage with AHS for a while. And then, I stopped, and I got back on there again. I like that I don't have to put out too much out of my pocket.

    I'm definitely being able to utilize what I've been paying AHS for every month ‘cause I have had a lot of things that kinda breakdown and shutdown on me now. I'm still not understanding the monthly payment to have the service, and then the additional deductible on top of that. But I do it ‘cause I need it done. A lot of times, knowing I have the warranty, I'll try to see if I have a neighbor or a friend or somebody that can fix something for me or if they can. I don’t let them touch it, I just ask them if they can because I'm just a little hesitant sometimes when I don’t have the $100 and then it's maybe something simple. For example, I might think it's an electrical issue when it's really the bulb might be burnt out, something simple like that, and it's like I would be paying $100 just for somebody to come in and change the light bulb. That’s why I'm sometimes hesitant.

    I like the fact that I have the warranty, especially for the instance I had with the garbage disposal. Whoever touched it last must have broken the reset button. They said, “It's like $300 and something that you'd pay.” But I know in the case if it was something covered, I wouldn’t have to pay the $300 out-of-pocket. It comes in handy in that aspect.

    Atlas came out to do the dryer. It wasn’t heating at that time and wasn’t working. They had to come out on three separate occasions. The first tech that originally did it took two days to come. That was quick. The only thing that was longest was when I had to wait on the actual part. But once the part came in, they scheduled me the next day. The second time when the tech came to actually install it, it was fine. It was just that it started heating and then it kinda stopped heating. I told him about some other things, but I got a little sense that they were trying to brush me off. I ended up calling the actual office itself and talking to someone to have them do what had to be done, and then they just recommended that they were gonna send a senior technician because it’s an electrical issue. As of right now, the dryer is running fine.

    When we got our house last year, we got American Home Shield because it was an older house and we wanted to make sure that everything was okay. We then went ahead and paid for it again this year because we thought that it was the safe thing to do. Even though we bought some newer appliances, we still wanted to make sure that we had some kind of coverage. I’ve also recommend it to a lot of people who are buying homes that are older and even newer homes because you never know.

    Recently, some water backed up downstairs in our basement and Prestige Plumbing and Air used a Roto-Rooter thing and went down the pipes all the way out to the sewer. They cleaned it out and we haven’t had any problems since they’ve been out here. One of the guys that was there was the one who came out last year. They were both really nice and they did a good job. They said it must have been something small because it wasn’t a great big mass of anything and it didn’t flood the whole basement. It just got one section where it was coming up out of the drain. There’s a drain down there.

    I had an issue with my air conditioner. It was blowing heat, it was not cooling. I called AHS and I spoke with someone. Then within a couple of minutes, I got an email that said R&K was assigned. When the young man came out, it took him a little bit. He diagnosed the problem and then he fixed it. No problem whatsoever. They were very good. It's been pretty good since they've been out.

    I had a claim for my tenant for a stove that was out. There was a thermostat issue. Woodley came and were prompt about my claim. They had to order a part and they got the issue quickly resolved within the next two business days. I've had American Home Shield for at least nine years and with technology the way that it is, perhaps they could have an app that makes it very easy for you to order services as you need them. But for the most part, I haven’t had any issues with American Home Shield covering anything.
