    The garbage disposal was leaking and I made a claim online to American Home Shield. The website worked great and I was told that I should expect a call from the contractor. Then, it gave me a timeframe. The repairman who came and did our stuff was fine. It was fast, quick and the problem was fixed right away. The only thing I have an issue with is that I have an account set up through my email, but I continue to still get emails saying that I should come back to American Home Shield. I’m already signed up and I’ve already been back with them for a long time.

    Updated on 04/09/2020: They sent Sears out to check on the fridge. This is now the 8th time a tech has been to my house. He was not wearing a mask. He showed up 2 hours late, missing a 4-hour time window. He showed up at 7 pm interrupting dinner and stayed til 8:30 pm. Our dinner got cold. He turned the cooling function off on the fridge. I did not realize this until the next morning when the fridge was warm and the food in the freezer was defrosted.

    Ultimately AHS finally said they would replace the unit. I was finally relieved. But wait it’s not over. They sent an option for replacement, but the option did not have any of the features our refrigerator had, such has pandora, touchscreen, etc. They said they would not replace those options on the fridge because those features do not matter. Even though we use them everyday. So if we want those features we already have we will have to pay an additional amount around $1000. They didn’t even give me a cash lieu option for the entire policy. They gave us $2400 to replace a $3200 refrigerator. This company is a scam and horrible to work with. Please stay away. This is the first review I have ever done on consumer affairs, that is how dissatisfied with the company I am.

    Original Review: We received a 1-year home warranty when we purchased our home. After several months of living there the refrigerator stopped working properly. I figured I would try the warranty. Everything seemed to be going well. They assigned a contractor to look at it. He looked at it. Ordered parts, and I thought this would be the end of it. All in all the contractor has been to my house 7 or more times in the mater of 2 months to "fix the fridge." All costing me time away from work. With how many hours of work I have missed dealing with this fridge I could have just purchased a brand new one.

    Last time he was out he said they had replaced everything they could, and I believe him. He said, "AHS will replace your fridge, because there is nothing else we can do." What does AHS do. They schedule another contractor to come look at the fridge. They have already been to my house countless times during the pandemic. All I want is a fridge that works and no more random people coming in and out of my house. I have spent countless Hours in chats and on the Phone with customer service and have been told I will get a call back 3 times, I never got a call back. The company is dishonest and not worth your time and money. In the long run, with how long the process takes it will most likely cost you money and time.

    Jay's AC Heat & Air was wonderful. We were assigned somebody in Orlando, but we never got a response, so I called them. When I called, the girl from Quick Air said they didn't have anybody. The owner is licensed to work on it, but they didn't have any workers that could come out. I called AHS again and I was reassigned to Jay's, and he was at our house within 20 minutes. He was very clean and personable. He got everything done, and our air conditioner is working beautifully now.

    I submitted a claim to American Home Shield and Anytime Air Conditioning came to my home the next day to look at my air conditioner that had gone out. The tech was professional and very informative. The unit that I have is old and the tech said that it was damaged. AHS only covers wear-and-tear though and so I had to pay for the service myself. Still, I like my AHS warranty.

    For the most part, AHS has been good for us. Two years ago, I had a problem. Also, when I first started, I'd be on the phone waiting. Now, I don't wait forever to call them. It's easier to go online, submit a claim and then AHS calls me. When my water heater broke during Christmas time, the guy sent by AHS came and a lot of things weren't up to code. So, he had to fix things which ended up costing me more than I expected. Still, he had to do what he did.

    Most recently, I sent an email to AHS on a Monday and Mr. Higginbottom's from Higginbottom's Heat & AC Services called me that afternoon. He came on Tuesday and fixed my issue. That was great. This is the only contractor I want to come out. One time before, somebody came without even a ladder. Then that contractor told me that he didn't want the job. Things have gotten a lot better since I started with AHS. They got their act together.

    We had a dishwasher and a washing machine that broke a week in between each other. Submitting claims for them to American Home Shield online was very easy. I did that from my phone and had an appointment scheduled within an hour. AHS sent All Fixed Appliance Repair out and the tech who came was very responsive. If I had to pay for his service myself, I’d pay for him as well. However, we went for three weeks without a washing machine because we had to order parts three times. Every time the tech would go to fix it, he finds something new that is broken and we would have to wait another week for parts. I'd like to see that process sped up a bit. Still, I'm satisfied with my experience.

    One time, my sump pump was not working. I called AHS and their contractor, Super Rooter Plumbing and Sewer came to handle my claim. They replaced the motor in my sump pump. I've never had a sump pump before and I didn't know if it was supposed to continually go. So, I called to ask them if they could check it again. The same tech who came before, Martin, returned and explained to me that it's supposed to continue to run and that everything is fine. He showed me how to look down to see that when water would come up to a certain level, the sump pump would start. I felt much better about that. He had explained that to me the first time but then I had so much going on that I didn't understand. Super Rooter did excellent service. This has been the third time they did plumbing work for me and I really think highly of the company.

    Previously, I had a problem with one company sent by AHS and I asked them not to refer that company again. That’s when they started referring Super Rooter. AHS was excellent. They listened to my complaint, and they rectified it. I'm glad I got into their coverage. It cuts down a lot of red tape and I feel comfortable with it. I've recommended it to my sister and she has signed up with AHS. I plan on telling my other sister also.

    I had a service call with A-US Air Conditioning of Texas and it went fine. I submitted the request online, and the tech called a day or two before to arrange the time. He then showed up in the timeslot he recommended. He showed me how to work my thermostat, checked the coolant in the system, and checked the filter as well. He replaced the batteries in the thermostat, so that was very positive. He, however, did not have a new filter, so I needed to get one.

    We've had them over for 12 years and ever since we called them, we're always glad we have the service. I always tell people about it, especially when I tell homeowners that let me know that they had an issue. I always explain to them that the service is excellent. You don't have to worry about your appliances or the money in your pocket because American Home Shield will send people out, then they will fix the problem. It tells you exactly if you need new appliances too.

    Recently, two companies came out. The first company's service wasn't good. When the person came out, they never took care of the matter, and everything went back to normal before we called them. We didn't get heat then and we asked for another request. The second people that came out was under American Shield and they were excellent. I'm glad they came. The guy called me and said he had to get a part. He was all business and when he was back, I was surprised. Still, he took care of the issue.

    Since getting American Home Shield in August of 2018, it has been very easy for me to put in claims. I do it over the phone and Home Shield has somebody contact me in 24 hours or less. Their process is fairly straightforward. However, like most companies, they have people in foreign countries who are kinda hard to understand though they speak pretty good English. Currently, I find it easier to go online and submit my claim. Still, the techs they have sent have been good. I recently had a contractor come out for my air conditioner.

    I have American Home Shield in two locations. I have had it in Florida for two years and they’ve come several times to fix my refrigerator. One time was in 2019 in December then they came again and this last visit, the man seemed to know more on what he was doing. It took a lot of visits, but I’m happy he came and I'm happy he fixed the refrigerator, especially before the holidays. It’s a difficult thing for me and overall, I’m quite satisfied. I also had visits for my dishwasher, which they couldn’t find anything wrong with it, but I think it was a water pressure problem. They worked on that.

    I have American Home Shield in New Jersey too, and it’s been very good for us. We don’t need it often, but when we need it, they have people come. I really like that they're not coming to sell me a new appliance. They're coming to fix it. They’re not going to string me along to do unnecessary things and that’s why I like American Home Shield more than anything. I’m very happy with the service and I’m happy with all the vendors who came. The guys were nice and it was good. Keep up the good work.

    I was having my air conditioning serviced for the year and the service people from Jon Wayne Air Conditioning found a leak in the hot water heater. It was also not up to code. It was eight years old and it needed to be completely redone. Doing a claim with American Home Shield was easy. Immediate Response Plumbing & Rooting came out that week, and then I decided to hold off on it. Then I called them back and had them come out.

    On the initial experience with Jon Wayne Air Conditioning, I was very disturbed because that cost me $900 because they thought there was a gas leak. And it was not a gas leak. They had to pressurize the house, and that was how they found the water heater was leaking and was rusty on the top. I said, "I don't care if the house burns down, turn the heat back on." Jon Wayne couldn't do it. They said it's a fire hazard. They said, "Now, if you turn it on when we leave, that's one thing. But we can't turn it on. We're not electricians." So I was very disturbed with them but not with Immediate Response. They were very nice and very helpful.

    My microwave was possessed. We would put something in the microwave and close the door, and all of a sudden, it would start without even having to push any buttons then it would stop. We would key in the time, it would start, then it would pause, and then it would cut out or we could put something in and it would run fine. We would then take the item out and close the door, and it would start again. It was really weird. We did a request online then a calendar was brought up with the available days, and I got to choose which day I wanted that was available. The vendor came out and fixed the problem. There was a short circuit somewhere with the latches from the door to the thing, and he replaced those. Now, it's working great. All in all, we've been protected with American Home Shield since 2010 and any time I had an issue, they were able to take care of it. We're very satisfied.

    We've had American Home Shield for 13 years and they're always prompt. We had a contractor that we didn't care for though. He got the job done, but he was slow. For the most part, it's all been good. The last one we just had for the dishwasher was good. He was nice too. We do claims online and it's a lot quicker. When the appointment is made and they assigned to it, the person who's going to be doing it calls you and lets you know when they're gonna be there. However, I had an 8:00 to 5:00 window on this one and it would be a whole lot better if they were able to give a three-hour window instead of an eight-hour window. Still, he came in the middle of the morning, which was fine. All in all, I'm perfectly satisfied.

    Super Appliance Man came out for my heating and it went really well. The heat went out and there was a part that we had to reorder and install. They were super helpful but there was a residual issue that occurred afterwards. The floors started warping and I had a contractor come out to assess the floors. He speculates that the moisture is coming from the HVAC unit. I contacted Super Appliance Man again and they were more than willing to help out. They said to contact AHS and they'd go through the warranty company. Then they sent somebody out to diagnose it this morning. Hopefully, they're gonna come back out to fix the issue.

    American Home Shield sent Advanced Heating & Air Conditioning for an AC issue recently. The only problem was that they came a couple of days later. If it would have been an emergency, it would have been a problem. But since it wasn't huge, we got it taken care of before it got to the point where it was hot out. They checked our air conditioner. The guy almost instantly knew what it was and changed the thermostat out. When we bought our home in December, within a couple of days, the toilet was stopping up and overflowing all into the bathtub. That was our first call with AHS which was an emergency and they came right out and handled that the same day. I think it just depends on what's going on if it's an emergency, as far as what needs to be looked at. But both times, they've been pretty good and they've taken care of the things. We're actually considering keeping it for a little longer than a year.

    We’ve got American Home Shield on seven houses and we’ve had them for three maybe turning four years. We’ve got some rentals so right now, we like the warranty a lot just because of the rentals. Some of the things that we thought would be covered with the warranty aren't, like with the air conditioners. But it’s gonna come down soon to what needs to be replaced. I know with American Home Shield, they redo everything until it’s not good. Some things need to be not repaired, but replaced.

    Because with the houses that we have, like if they have small children, I don’t want them to be penalized and have to wait to get a new AC when they have small children. We can’t say, “We want a new one.” Also, on some of the houses, we’ve had trouble with air conditioning stuff and others with the vendors that come out. They do a yucky job and we’ve told AHS that we wouldn’t take them back. But they had to come back, so we had to wait until they did it bad again.

    But everything went very well with Bella Heat & Air. They were a great company and the guy was very knowledgeable. When we turned the AC on the day they came, it did really well. The first company that AHS sent out, it’s the same air conditioning unit but they came out three or four times. But with Bella, everything was great.

    Everything went well. From the time I submitted the request, it was a very quick turnaround to let me know who was gonna come out to see us. And then I heard from the service company the next morning and set up the time, and it was quick and easy. Our clothes washer would not cycle through the cycles. It would wash and run through them and then wouldn’t forward through that. Lake Area Appliance had to come out and take a look at that. They were able to make the fix. The tech diagnosed it in the first two minutes and knew exactly how to fix it. He was in and out in 20 minutes. So, overall, it was a good expense.

    The tech from AirMax did a good job. He was socially distant and he wore gloves. He was good mannered. We're very happy with American Home Shield as long as they don't raise the price on us again. They could also have some sort of bulk buying. Our range is approaching the end of its useful life. We have one burner that's out, and I don't think we want to call them out here for 100 bucks for one burner. One thing I have not seen is a discount on preventative calls like at the beginning of the season, a tuneup for the AC in particular. A discount on a tune-up would be great. The discounts replacing the equipment would be great as well.

    I like American Home Shield. I can go and get coverage online. I can also put in the work order online, and it's actually quicker to do that than to call in. I don’t have to wait. I could also get a work order number there right away. With our recent claim, our particular model of icemaker has two motors, one for the flap on the door, and one for the actual grinder. We had a motor replaced last year for the door. Now, it's the grinder that's broken. When the guy from Austin Appliance first came out, he assessed what the problem was. He didn’t have the part so he had to order it. Then he came back less than a week later and was here for probably less than 20 minutes to put the part in. He was friendly, on time, very professional, and did a great job.

    We are new owners who were not able to live in the home for another six weeks. We were living in Minnesota in our apartment before we moved to Texas. The home was to be empty and we decided, as our Realtor supported our decision, that we should have the locks changed. And the rekeying was included in our American Home Shield contract. I talked to them and I could not understand the gentleman really well. But other than that, it went well. We needed one of our sons who lives in the immediate area to meet ReKey Xpress to do the rekeying. Our son asked for our wishes for the three locks into the home to be the same lock and four keys, because that’s what the rekeying would cover. The tech thought that would be easy to do.     When my daughters were baking cookies the oven handle broke off and it almost started a fire because they could turn off the oven, but they couldn't open the door because it was so hot. The glass popped out. It was kind of a disaster. I called AHS up and I said could they send somebody to fix my oven, and they did. The A GO Home Appliance Repair tech was very nice. He reoriented the two handles on the oven and it's been working okay.

    I was a little worried and I was a little bit skeptical at first because most of the time when something like this happens, I can fix it myself. It's just that I am freakishly busy these days. It was upsetting to have to pay the 75 bucks on top of the annual fee, but what are you gonna do? It's probably cheaper overall than if you have to get somebody in and usually, time is a problem. AHS does a good job. Every contractor has been really excellent.

    The motor in the heating unit was on all the time. I thought it was connected to the thermostat because it was low and I changed the batteries but it still indicated low. I went online to make a request and the gentlemen from Active Air Heating & Cooling came in and checked the motor. They told me what was wrong with it and fixed it. They were really courteous and polite. They said somehow, the unit was stuck, but it got going again. I had some batteries they put in the thermostat and everything seems to be working okay now.     The backside of the house had no electricity. The bedroom, part of the bathroom, part of the pantry and then the kitchen area, the lights were just blinking on and off, and then all of a sudden we had no electricity. Moen Electric came and determined that it was a bad breaker and replaced the breaker. So far, no issues. They were very professional, very friendly and did maintain that social distance.     My mom uses AHS and she’d been pushing it off on me for years, so I finally gave in and got them. And considering the fact that everything in my house is breaking, I love everything just fine. Recently, there was an issue with my AC and I submitted a claim online on Saturday. Then, Rescue Your Air's tech came out by Monday and he was great. He was professional and he called me before he got here.     We had a leak that dripped from our bathtub upstairs into our kitchen down below. It happened a couple of months ago and we stopped using the tub. So, we had the contractors from AHS come out and they ripped up our ceiling to check, but then we couldn’t get it to leak again. While they were here, they looked at it and we tried everything to get it to leak, we couldn’t. They said to just let them know when it does and they would come back. Then a few weeks later, my daughter was taking a bath and it was leaking again, so we had them come back. And it was a gasket that he replaced to fix that. I liked the plumbing guys that came out.     When you have an emergency, AHS is right on top of it and I appreciate that. They sent out somebody for my claim and that person told AHS what I needed to be done. Then AHS sent out a second person, which was Southeast Texas. Southeast Texas did a great job and explained to me what needed to be done and what my part of the pay would be. I was okay with that and said that I needed them to fix the problem because I couldn't use the bathroom. Every time water is run, it runs down my cabinets.

    We had two HVAC units that weren't working. One wouldn't turn on at all and the other wasn't cooling. While it is difficult to submit claims to AHS in other times, it was easy in this case. They sent Express Comfort who did a fantastic job. They were there when they said they would be and called us when they were coming in. They got our problem taken care of.

    Having AHS is the first time we've ever had a home warranty. It has been a mixed bag and there were some things that we thought for sure would be covered but then they were not. There were also times when there were two issues going on and they would make us have two separate calls instead of letting one guy come out and fix both things. So, we gotta wait for somebody twice. There have been some things that were more of a pain in the neck than they should have to be. Still, having Express Comfort for this claim was a great experience.

    The house seller gave us some warranty options and we chose. We saw what was covered with American Home Shield and compared it to a few other companies, and I liked the website. It was very good compared to other ones and what was covered was good also. But when the first contractor came out for our fridge, I wasn't here and they were not very patient. They were calling me and I was calling back my wife to say that the guy was out there and to go check him out. Really, the guy was here waiting for like two minutes and then he said he wasn't going to wait anymore and that he would leave. I told him I was at work and to let me call my wife.

    The fridge wasn't working and was just making noise. So we had disconnected it and the tech said it should be connected for at least 48 hours before he could check it out. So he just left and didn't do anything, and that was a GE representative. Then the next available appointment was a week and a half after, in which time we could not live without a fridge. Everyone was out there buying stuff for Coronavirus and we didn't have anything. So then I contacted American Home Shield and the guy was able to arrange another local Texas company that could come over and look at it, and they did.

    The other company came over and fixed the fridge temporarily. It was leaking something and he didn't know what it was but the fridge was working for a while and then we bought a replacement. We asked for a gift card and then we went and saw something to buy. The second technician was very good and communicative. He did his best with what he did.

    We’ve bought and sold five or six houses over the past 20 years. American Home Shield was provided by the seller for our house and it was for a 12-month period. It was easy making a claim to them. I filed one for our AC and we were given Total Air Care as the contractor. It was probably not even necessary for me to call but I just wanted to make sure since I’ve only lived here for two months and I was concerned about the noise from the AC unit. I wanted to make sure it wouldn't start a fire.

    It took like four days in terms of response time which if I had been living in Cincinnati and it was zero out, I would have been concerned. But since the temperature wasn’t an issue here, I didn't wanna turn the air conditioner on until the tech came back out with a heat pump. It was fine. The tech had a very thorough explanation for me and had some expertise from his experiences so that really helped.

    The 13-year-old water heater kinda was not working very well. It stopped producing hot water. The plumber came out once and replaced some valve. It worked for a day, and then it stopped working after that. So, he came out again, replaced a different valve this time which was last valve that can be replaced. So far, it's going okay, but he's telling us that if it doesn't work and the water goes again, it still likely won't be covered because the water heater itself is not leaking. That's a little frustrating.

    I called American Home Shield while the plumber was there on his second visit. The lady on the phone told me that they would have to wait and see what the report for the second visit would show first. So, if the guy would say that the heater was non-repairable then potentially, we could review it for coverage to replace it even if it was not leaking. The plumber that came out said that if that was what AHS was telling us, we might wanna get a second opinion if it wouldn't work again. So, that's what we'll probably do next time. Other than that, getting the service scheduled and getting the issue looked was pretty easy.

    The two faucets were not working and everything was backed up. I submitted a claim with AHS and I did it online. The process was much easier that way and they sent out a tech from Drain Go. He was good and kinda knowledgeable in what he was supposed to be doing. He got the faucets working well but I’m still having a little problem with the drainage and the septic system kinda backs up a little bit every once in a while.     I’m in an older home. It’s 15 years old and my house started falling apart. Sometime in October, I started having problems with the electrical, plumbing, and other little things that could be solved. I called in my claims with AHS and they had someone from Indonesia or China. They had no other answer to my questions and I couldn’t speak to someone over them. And my people are foreigners too with different accents, so I could tolerate it. But at that point, it was not an accent thing. It was a communication problem.

    I also had an issue with American Home Shield when they'd keep bringing out the same people for the same issue and it was not working. They're supposed to go ahead and replace an appliance if it’s not working. For instance, it took four times for somebody to come out to fix my stove. And it’s acting up right now but I'm kinda over calling them. Then, my dishwasher was supposed to be replaced. But it’s been two weeks since they delivered this dishwasher and nobody has come to install it. When I called AHS, I kept asking them where the person was and they were still not able to give me an answer. I know the Coronavirus is here but they'd tell me so and so, and that the contractor would come out, but no one shows up. No one calls me either.

    I also had an electrical problem and the subcontractor came in my house, but he only fixed one problem. I dealt with a death in January and I wasn’t here at the time, but I had someone else here. And the problems weren't totally fixed. My ex-husband and I used to be general contractors for Home Depot and I’d never seen anyone like that. But the last company that came in was a different electrician and he fixed the problems right away. Still, it shouldn’t take two or three attempts for somebody to come and do something that simple. After my contract is over, I'm thinking of going with another home contracting company to insure the items in my home. It was referred to me and they're pretty good from my understanding from other teachers.

    I've been with Home Shield a couple of times. When I first bought my home, I was with them for over a year, and then I signed back up with them. So, I've been with them for a little while.     I like American Home Shield. I've been with them for maybe six years now and it's really good. The claim for the air conditioner was a little bit difficult but at that time, everything was breaking. As for the rest, everything was really good.     The technician was very knowledgeable and professional. I was very happy he was able to fix my dryer that day. I like American Home Shield and I’ve had them for 18 years because this is my second home I put under them. When I first started this, I paid a $35 fee and it went up to 59, then 75 and now they’re charging me $81 for the service call. They added tax to it and I have a problem with that. But my monthly payment is right at $70. I have recommended them to a friend before but when they started adding tax to my service call, it left a bad taste in my mouth. I don’t like that. That wasn’t what I signed up for.

    If you want the cheapest contractors, get an AHS warranty. I requested a service, waited for a contractor( electrician) to call, when he did he said he would check my policy and get back with me. When he did call back, he told me what he would do and what he would not do. I felt like I was a burden to him even though he was going to get paid. In the end he asked if I still wanted him to do it and I made him happy by saying NO. I then called and cancelled the request. The customer service rep said we can do it with another contractor so I agreed. They assigned the same one for a 2nd time.

    I called and cancelled and they ASSURED me that they had other contractors, I agreed and yes, they gave me the same guy for a 3rd time. I gave up and I have zero faith in AHS. I assume that all of the other electricians, you know the ones that pop up when you google electricians in the area were too expensive and why I keep getting the same guy? If you want reputable contractors, I hate to say it but do not use AHS.

    My wife and I started a claim for water flooding our kitchen floor. A plumber/contractor showed up the next day, was able to turn off just the faucet. Said the leak was in the hose and parts would have to be ordered. After being bounced between plumber's and AHS for several days, I called this morning and Chole answered. Again we explained the problem. This I explained I had purchased a new faucet and we only need installation. Chole reviewed the information with her supervisor and then explained that I should get an installation price from the Plumbers Inc. or another plumber as this would not be cover by AHS. She also said since I would be paying for the faucet and installation she would reverse the paid fees. Chole W is one of the most caring and professional person at AHS.

    When I first got started with AHS, there was an issue with my account balance and I had to call customer service to get my claim submitted. However, when the oven wasn’t working, I was able to enter online and it worked just fine. The contractor for the GE Appliances was great. The oven wasn’t working. He told us what the problem was and ordered the part. He came back a week later when the part was here and installed it.

    Before the tornado that happened here in Nashville. I tried to call about the locksmith issue, but I never could get through. I kinda understood that everybody’s phone lines were slammed during that time so it wasn’t AHS fault. The locksmith came out and said that they couldn’t fix the locks because they were old. He told us that it’d be better for us to buy locks and he would come back and install them. Then we never heard back from him. But he called about a week later and told my husband that he was sick. We said, “Okay.” We've been in the house already, so my husband installed the locks himself. The locksmith then called last week and said he was coming out to install. My husband told him that it was already done and not to worry about it.

    My hot water heater was not heating the water, so it didn’t work and it wouldn’t turn on. The contractor was scheduled at 9 o'clock and they were there at 8:30. They went down and looked at it, opened it up and told me what was going on. They said they could fix it, clean it and adjust it. It was clogged and after about an hour, the technician turned it on and told me to give it about 15 minutes and I should have hot water. A half-hour later, I turned the faucet on and the water was nice and hot. He cleaned up everything and it has not been a problem since. I’m happy. It works and I have hot showers again.

    We just bought the house and the previous residents had American Home Shield and we took over. We’ve had it since the 28th of February and I never expected to use it but the first time I did, it was well worth it. I'll recommend them to anybody. If I never use them again and keep paying the yearly fee, it was worth the price for that one time. They give you the options, especially if you have a new house or if you got older appliances, this is the way to go, especially with the way the economy is. Every nickel counts. It’s like car insurance. You hope you never have to use it, but if you did, you don't pay for it when you need it. One time is all it takes, so I’m sold on it. I’m trusting for life with these people.

    American Home Shield offered a buyout and said the part was going to take 7 to 10 days to order. It was for the microwave. In this day and time, my kids live through the microwave, so I told them $140 isn't going to replace my microwave, especially since it's the over the range type with the light, the fan and whatnot. I said "I'll just wait until the part comes." A day later, the appliance company called me and said that the part was ready and they would like to come install it. Right now, no one is busy about anything, so they came out the next day and installed it.

    All in all, the claim was really slow at the beginning, and it wasn’t anything that they did. It was more of American Home Shield. I wonder why they were trying to offer me a buyout. I thought it was odd, but outside of that, the gentleman that came and installed it was a super nice guy. He was really professional. It was a good company and we're content. The microwave works fine and my kids are alive.

    It seems like every time the weather breaks, I always have to get my air conditioner serviced for some reason. I spent thousands of dollars just to get some repair done last year. I had to refill 10 gallons of coolant and the lady that I talked to said it was a compressor. AHS only paid for $10 per gallon when it could cost $50 to $60 per gallon. This time, I spent about 12 or 1300. The new contractor who came out was saying that it was a leak. It seems like every time a new contractor comes, they tell me something different.

    Then I asked AHS to look up my service orders. The last two requests have been over $1000. I explained to them about getting a switch put on my AC. The rep said that I had a compressor, and this wasn’t a compressor, but she understood me saying I might have gotten a switch. She explained to me with this new inquiry, a switch was needed to bring it up to code. Something didn't feel right and so I asked her to look at my past ticket. I wanted to make sure that I would not be spending another money for something that had already been done. But she couldn’t answer that. She said she couldn’t look past last year and I explained to her I had an AC problem for the past four years. So, it was not the best experience in terms of my AC.

    Two years ago, we used to pay for our service fee when the contractors came out. Now, we pay ahead of time so when they come, they already have been paid. I had this one experience where the contractors told me they would call me 30 minutes before they arrived. They didn’t do that so it took me 15 minutes to get to them and they had left before I got to the house. I contacted American Home Shield and told them what happened. They said they came and I wasn’t there so they would have to charge me another $100 fee. That was one of my first worst experiences besides the AC. There’s a lack of communication with some of the contractors that come out.

    Sears came out for my dishwasher. The technician did really well. He looked at it and said they were not gonna be able to order it. They would have to replace it. And they came up with a number but I didn't buy it through that, I got another one. And we put it in last night. However, AHS didn't do so well on the hot water heater claim. That's been the one since August. I have two hot water heaters. The propane went out and it's been a fiasco to get it changed out. But I'm gonna go ahead and take what they offer, add money to it, buy one and ask about labor.

    Our toilet was wobbling really, really bad and a bolt was broken on it. It was very easy submitting claims with AHS. The only thing I’m bummed about is two years in a row now, I tried to get extra insurance on the appliance and they keep saying that I have to wait until I renew and I don’t remember when I renewed half of the time. So, a month goes past it and I need to wait for another year. I think they should allow people that already have the insurance to add insurance and just go by the same insurance with the three-month wait period before they could use it. Other than that it’s worth the money.

    I've had American Home Shield for a long time (years) and they get the stuff done. It just takes a long time. Also, from what I understand, they go with the less expensive companies to send out like everybody else. Two summers ago, I was without an AC for 17 days when it was 100 degrees out. I understand the season. It’s hot. When I call to put in a request though, the money's out of my account before I even hang up and it takes them days, sometimes weeks, to come out and check out the problem. I'm not very satisfied in that, but what can I do.

    Recently, my AC went out again and A-US Air Conditioning said it was the compressor. They came out again and installed all that. They also put a can of Freon and left. My thermostat wasn’t working, so they had to come back out. The guy did something else and said the problem was the panel up here. It then seemed to be cooling off when he left, but my AC is not like before. At 73, my AC was freezing in here. I understand I have an old unit, but right now, it barely cools the house even though it's at 71. With everything that’s going on, I didn’t want more people coming and going into my house and I figured I need to let go. I have my grandkids, I have a nine-month old baby and I had different techs come in. I know these guys visit several homes, so I don't want to push the issue right now.

    The outside air conditioning unit had stopped working. Apparently, the compressor went bad and the technician from A-US Air Conditioning of Texas replaced it. I did the claim online.     I have been with American Home Shield for a year and the very first time I used it, I was devastated. It was not a good experience, so I was not sure if I was going to keep the service or not. It was an emergency and no one was working with me. Every time I called somebody, it was not helpful for me, and it did not get it repaired or fixed for at least two weeks. My heater went out, and they needed some kind of board. And this was when it was like in the 40s, so it was cold. The process was like almost a month to a month and a half because we also had the holidays in there with Thanksgiving. I had people over and we were all freezing. But, eventually, they got it fixed.

    My experience regarding my plumbing issue, however, was the complete opposite. They have been helpful and they contacted me right away. Alvarez Plumbing came out right away, too. It was an emergency and my house had gotten flooded. The first guy who came out was okay. He did not show me what he did, but that was why it was my fault for not having him show me what he did. He then recommended someone who was able to come in and dry it all up and restore. I didn’t feel alone with it, and AHS was communicating with me. Someone was looking at it, and they had to put the water on. That was where we found out that there was still a leak. It was in a different place and it was through the piping.

    And so, the second guy came out, and he said he fixed it. He called me and said, “Okay, this is what I did, and this is what was happening.” So, I appreciated that. He was very friendly and helpful, and so I had a much better experience the second time. I was totally satisfied with the service I got. I was flooded and It was a bad situation, and I was going on a cruise that day. But these guys came in, and I felt like they took care of business. Since that day, I have been telling friends and family, “You need to get this insurance.”

    Our claim with AHS is still an ongoing issue. I had a toilet that was running and we had to call them up several times to get it correct. And then, they put a new pressure valve on our toilet system and that created some knocking in the pipes, and they’re still knocking. They put the pressure control on which is not what we really signed up for. But the contractors said they found that we needed to replace that. I’ve been trying to get guts put in one of the toilets. They kept putting flappers but no guts, and they still haven’t replaced the guts. And we’ve been calling back several times ‘cause it continues to run and my water bill is $400. And it continues to flip off and on, and they said, “You need the flappers.”

    We went through three rounds of that because it kept turning off and on. And I was like, “Why don’t you guys just replace the guts?” And the guy came a couple of days ago. I thought he was gonna replace the guts the other day. He said, “We’ll do that, ma’am.” But they still haven’t replaced the guts. I don’t know how expensive that can be to replace the inside mechanism ‘cause that is what shuts it off and on. So, it’s still shutting off and on, just not as often as it was.

    And then, we have this problem now with the pipe shaking whenever the washing machine comes on or we’re in the kitchen turning the kitchen faucet on. We have all this rattling going on since they replaced the valve which was not what we asked to be replaced. So now, they said we need a $400 part on, which is not covered, to stop some air pressure control valve or something that they said they’re putting on where the washing machine is hooked up. He said, now when they build homes, it’s required for them to put this air pressure unit on. He was telling us we had to pay $450 to get that on to stop this rattling noise, which is no guarantee but he said that should stop it.

    But the reps of American Home Shield have been very courteous. They’ve been doing a good job handling it. My husband requested to get another company to come out but they said we had to stick with them because we started out with them. It’s very frustrating to have to repeat and still don’t get the results. I’ve been a long-time customer with American Home Shield and I pay my monthly fees on time. And when I call them for service, I would like to get it and I’d like to get the problem resolved. American Home Shield is a good company overall. But I feel they need to get upgraded on some of these companies or change out some of these companies and find better companies to service their customers.

    I bought the home in mid-June, and I bought a one-year contract with AHS, and I got a renewal notice. In my younger days, I had an insurance license, so I understood that insurance companies are there to make money for them, not you. They're banking on their premiums distributed over a million customers is going to pan out and make them money so the chances of you breaking even are very, very slim. But AHS has been hugely responsive and so I’m pretty sure I’m going to renew my policy, which is a surprise to me because I have never, ever gotten a supplemental insurance on a product. But I will with them.

    When I lost water to my home I called up American Shield and within 10 minutes, Jones Pool called me back very quickly. They were out there the same day, and they inspected some of the electrical components in the well house. One of them was faulty and they replaced it. The system worked great. I was from Southern California originally so I’m not familiar with well systems. The tech went down to the well with me. He showed me how it works. He inspected the equipment that’s in there. He made one minor suggestion but what was impressive was he wanted to make sure I knew what the various electrical components did and how the system worked. He was very professional. He just didn’t repair the work. He made sure I understood what was being done. Everything is working fine. If I need any more work, they’ll definitely be the company I call.

    I’ve used AHS twice so far. And both times, they were very responsive. The only suggestion I would have is the call center. It's not really the issue of it being out of the country but it’s on another continent, which means the people are not familiar with some of the local companies. Being out in more of a rural area, I’m learning that there are some companies, that do a really good job, have a history of a good job, and other companies, you really don't wanna call upon. When I called the call center, I asked who is on their service list they have no concept of who is one the service list. I can’t identify a company I’d like to use that is on their service list.

    From that point, it goes to an automated system that apparently picks some company on their list, and they call you back directly so I never hear back from American Shield. After I called I didn't know who they were going to assign. The next call I got is from the company they’ve assigned. Both times I used them, the companies were very good but it would sure be nice if we're able to call American Shield and ask for a particular company but that’s not possible. Other than that, the service has been good.

    Everything went fine when Dave and Sons Plumbing came out for our claim. I had two toilets that one had to be repaired. And two sinks had problems, one was fixed but the other one wasn’t fixed because they say it wasn’t broken enough to fix. But the toilet was fixed and the sink fixed.     This is our first home and we didn’t think that having a home warranty was big of a deal. We were considering opting out but we ended up getting American Home Shield and we’ve been really pleased. We’ve had really great experiences. Recently we had a leak. My husband noticed that our ceiling drywall has brownish-yellow color circles that started appearing. We knew there was a water leak so we reached out to American Home Shield and they sent The Lindsay Company out. The plumber was great. He came and he actually thought it was an HVAC issue because when we tried to troubleshoot a few things, it didn’t appear to be a plumbing problem.

    The guy who came to do that said it was plumbing so the plumber came back and turns out it was a plumbing problem. They were able to get it resolved and fixed at no additional expense to us, which was great. And then, just because of what the plumber needed to cut the ceiling we did have to have somebody come out through AHS to repair the sheetrock. We learned that they do not cover paint or texture and we ended up kind of having to do that portion ourselves. Other than that AHS was pretty clear and handled everything. I would encourage people to have a home warranty.

    We had, all of a sudden, no power to the refrigerator. I wasn’t sure if it was the breakers, but I couldn’t get it to go on with my flipping of the breakers. I did a claim with American Home Shield. Electrotech got out here pretty quickly. Once they got out here, the outlet was being damaged, so it’s good that we called them. It was black along the side. There was a refrigerator and a coffee maker on the same side of the room that were too much for it. So, they found it and fixed it right away. I was glad that we had called. The contractors were knowledgeable. They got right to work and they were professional. They were here for about half an hour.

    I spoke with American Home Shield and I couldn’t hear the guy. We had a really poor connection on the phone. They said they’d be sending somebody within 24 hours, but since it was the fridge, I had called to see if they could come sooner. I had told him, “Well, I think I’m gonna hang up now because I can’t hear you, and we’ll just wait.” So, he may have thought I was mad, but I wasn’t. And then pretty soon, the contractor contacted me. I own a rental property and I recently added AHS on because I like the company that much.

    I initially called American Home Shield to have my units spring cleaned. US Air of Texas was sent out and they found that I needed something else done so they took care of that. When one of the units still wasn't working, they came back. They had to get parts. They did a good job for me. The guy was so concerned that he couldn't fix it.     My induction cooktop failed. There was a week delay in getting parts, which isn’t really what you want when you have a downed cooktop. The contractors need to stock their parts because these induction cooktops are not very reliable. It would be great if they had parts on the truck, and they could fix it on the spot. When our dryer broke, and they had the pulley available. I generally AHS pretty good.

    Home Shield has been great. In the wintertime, the air conditioner wasn't heating like it should. It just quit heating all of a sudden. I called in the claim and Home Shield sent out a company called Myers Comfort Heating & Air. They came out and said that the compressor was the problem. They also said that it was low in Freon and it would not go into reverse mode and produce heat from the heat pump. They charged it up, put some Freon in it, and it worked for a month or two.

    When it started getting warm, we turned the air conditioner on and it was not cooling. So they came back out and they said that the compressor was fried. It wasn't even coming on anymore. So they put in a order to replace the compressor. I had to get in touch with Home Shield and they would pay for everything except for the Freon. They'd give a $10 discount, so we had to pay the remaining $500. They put in a brand-new compressor and a receiver dryer last week. But it didn't seem right. Myers said they did a vacuum weighing on it and they put in everything. So they left, but about three days after that, it quit working again. I called them and I said that we were trying to run the heat and it was not heating the house.

    The lady that I talked to kinda laughed at me and she told me that I was gonna have to get a whole new work order. She said all they did was replace our air compressor. I told her, "Well, ma'am. Don't you know that in reverse mode, a heat pump, it produces the heat. And that's why they call it a heat pump. It runs off that compressor." She said, "Oh no, uh-huh, uh-uh." I told her that she is supposed to work for a heating and air company and that she is supposed to know this. She replied that our heat pump runs off of a heat strips. I told her that we have a dual fuel system. If I switch it to emergency heat, there are no heat strips. It kicks the gas on. So I just use the gas for the next few nights, and it was cold here in Alabama. And then, it started getting warm. I turned the air conditioner on but it would not work.

    Their service thing says they're open on Saturdays from 7:30 until 5:00. I called Friday afternoon and left two messages and then I called Saturday morning, still no one would answer and I had to leave more messages. I looked on their website and it said that they were not open from 7:30 till 5:00 on Saturdays, but they're only open from noon until 3:00. So I would just wait till Monday.

    They came out today and they said that our brand-new air compressor was low in Freon and it was not working. I asked them what was gonna happen. The tech said they found a leak. I told him that I thought they checked for the leak before they put the new compressor on. He said that this could've just happened yesterday. I told him that I know for a fact it didn't because I called a week ago and said that it had quit working. He told me that they were gonna go ahead and fix it and that they were gonna put all-new refrigerant for us. He said it would not gonna cost us anything. They would try to get the parts out there tomorrow, but if not tomorrow, they will see us on Wednesday.

    I like that they offered specials on various areas. The process is a little slow when there needs to be a replacement. They ask for a lot of information from the consumer and we necessarily don't have or keep that information. The whole process from start to finish is a little cumbersome. In terms of people getting out there and responding, sometimes they're a little stringent. There's not a level of flexibility. Once they leave, they leave even if they just had a mistake and they're five minutes away and you call them. They will not come back and they will make you schedule.

    Also, if they can be a little bit more proactive with having the subcontractors scheduling off to reach right back out to the person and try to get them back on the schedule as soon as possible instead of us having to call and asking if we can them get back on. The subcontractor should have put in that the person was unreachable. They call back five minutes later and you just didn't it hear from the basement or whatever. But I don't really have a problem with my service with Home Shield overall. They did a good job especially for what we pay them and the premium is not that high. I had an appliance claim and GM Appliance Service came out. The guys were excellent. They were prompt and smart and they got right to it.

    We’ve got a couple different properties with Home Shield. We've been with them for 10 years and we've been keeping it for peace of mind. Sometimes, we're limited in who I can choose to come out to the house. If it's air conditioning, they may not have very many contractors to come out. So depending on the appliance, it may take a little bit longer to get somebody but lately, we haven't had any issue.

    In general, I recommend American Home Shield to anybody who says they’re buying a home or they’re thinking of doing so. I always tell them to check into it. I'm a single girl and I’m not mechanically inclined. I’ll try something but plumbing and electricity, that’s not my gig. AHS has been really wonderful to me. GE Appliance takes care of me and I love my GE guys. This last time with them was with the washer a couple of days ago. Charles is the bomb. He’s the best and I love him. I try to get him anytime I can. He’s very personable. He'll show you what’s going on and he takes the time. When the washer was broken, Charles was like, “Let’s run a cycle, see what it does." He was very patient and he listened. When my refrigerator went down, it took them a while, but once I reached the right person, it was relatively quick. He told me how to handle it when the delivery guys came. As far as my repair people go and the timely fashion, they’re wonderful.

    I love AHS, but I'm not really happy with them right now. My pool pump broke. I got fired from my job and the pool pump was not first on my list of priorities. But now that I'm working and I'm able to pay the $75 and get it fixed, I called AHS and told them it’s broken. I said, “The pool is green because the pump's been broken and you can't run the pool without the pump. It’s been green for a while, but I need somebody to come out and fix this pump.”

    AHS called Tampa Pool and Spas. When I first saw the repair guy, he was walking through the yard with a mask and rubber gloves. I'm thinking, “You’re freaking outside. What the hell is this?” When they first made contact with me, usually somebody will call and say, “We’re such and such. American Home Shield asked us to contact you about this repair.” This guy didn’t do that. He didn’t even tell me he was here, he was leaving, or what was going on. He just came and went. I understand the Coronavirus thing. But what the tech did, he sent me text messages, “Please send me a picture of the pump.” I've been in this house since 2006. The pump was here when I got here, so it’s been here quite a while. I'm like, “It’s not gonna do you any good. There’s no markings on this pump because it’s rusty and just old.” But he was like, “No. Send me a picture.”

    I've never really spoken to anybody from Tampa Pool and Spas. But this chuckwagon of a service dude, he said to AHS that the pump wasn’t working because of the frogs and lizards trapped in the line. How the hell do you know they’re trapped in the line? You didn’t inspect it. Also, you weren’t supposed to inspect the line, you were supposed to look at the pump. What the freak were you doing over there?

    AHS called me and said, "We’re not gonna cover your pump because they say it’s not normal wear and tear.” I told them, "If you look at the damn thing, you can tell it’s 100 years old, and I’ve kept maintenance on it." They’re like, “No, we’re not gonna cover it,” I’m like, “I need to really rethink American Home Shield and if I should continue my coverage. Because you’re taking this yahoo’s word over mine. You can look at my record with American Home Shield. I don’t call about willy-nilly stuff.” Since 2006 I have never called American Home Shield about the pool pump.

    This gentleman from AHS called me and told me, “No. American Home Shield wasn’t gonna cover it because Tampa Pool and Spa says no, it’s not normal wear and tear.” I told him he was full of crap and I wanted somebody else out here. He said he would send someone out. I made a couple of phone calls and found a very nice gentleman who is not on American Home Shield’s list and he was willing to come out this afternoon, and they would not approve him to come out and look. I’m like, “I can give you his number. He has a business and he’s right here and available. Let’s clear this up.” And they’re like, “No, we’re gonna send out somebody else, blah, blah, blah. If he touches it, it makes your warranty null and void."

    It’s been a really bad day and I really want my pool pump fixed. It’s not American Home Shield’s fault though, because they are going off what Tampa Bay Pool and Spa says. I shouldn’t really be mad at American Home Shield. I should be mad at Tampa Bay instead because they did not speak to me, they did not let me know what was going on and what they were thinking. They just came and went.

    Submitting my claim on the AHS website was pretty simple, quick and easy. Downstairs, we thought we had a leak in our bathtub. We couldn’t use it because we noticed that the water would accumulate outside the bathtub from the wall. We knew that we had a leak somewhere in the wall, but it only happened when we used the bathtub. Also, on the bathtub upstairs, the stem was leaking from the faucet. He asked me to take a picture of what my issue was so he could be prepared. He came and fixed it and he was gone. It was a pretty easy experience. American Home Shield only took the payment through the online thing and I never spoke to them. Unfortunately, sometimes, it feels like I'm talking to someone overseas. It's like they got a call center somewhere else that they're using. I just think their customer service could be a little bit better. Also, AHS can't always do things in a one call resolution. It's always, I gotta hold, they have to call back, I don't call back, I have to call them back, I get somebody else, then I have to explain the whole scenario all over again, and that's the part that kinda furies me.

    Water was coming from the sink and it was going to a place on my floor. I filed the claim over the phone, went through an automated system, and was told that the company themselves would call me. The tech from Leak Seekers came out a couple of days ago and found out that it was the assemble piece, the hardware that you get the water out of, that needed to be replaced. They finished up yesterday. I've had this contractor a couple of times and they have always been genuine. They get the work done and their guys are friendly. My daughter used the same company through AHS too, and there were no complaints.

    I bought a house. It came with American Home Shield and decided to renew it. When there was a problem with the circuit breaker for the dishwasher I filed the claim online. The website gave me an expected time but I had to call them. It said that somebody would call me within 24 hours. I put the claim in on Friday afternoon and nobody called me, and I called them Monday. Then they sent somebody out on Tuesday. The SKI Electronic techs were fast, polite, in and out in about 15 minutes. They knew what they were doing.

    The garbage disposal was broken and pieces came off of it. We called AHS over the weekend and the guy from C Mayes Plumbing and Heating came out on Tuesday. It was very quick. We told them we knew it was broken, so he just brought a brand-new one. We also had one repair a few years ago but other than that, we haven't used AHS very much. We have the warranty for at least 10 years now and the service has been fine.

    All-Star came out and they fixed my garage door opener. But there were some problems wasn’t initially fixed. At first, there was some issues about my coverage with American Home Shield.     American Home Shield is pretty quick about getting somebody out here. If I’m in front of a computer, I can just log in and file a claim and then I usually get a response on the same day. It’s usually just a few hours if I do it early. But it also depends on the contractor if they’re booked to set up an appointment. When I had a leaky dishwasher, we had a guy come out and he told me that I needed a replacement for it. He had to order a dishwasher and Water Control Plumbing was the company that was gonna put it in. It took about a week and then they installed it. The new dishwasher was not leaking but underneath my sink, it started leaking after they had installed it. I called the company that installed the dishwasher back and they told me that the line that they had installed was not leaking and that my problem was a plumbing issue at that point. So, I had to do another service call to get a plumber out and fix the issue underneath my sink.

    I called American Home Shield over the phone regarding the dishwasher and the customer service has been very good lately. The subcontractor had to come out three times though. When they came out the first time, they had to order a part then it didn’t work, and they had to replace something else. Still, there were two different guys and they were both real good. I think the dishwasher works now, but I tried it last night and I had trouble switching it on. So, I'm not sure, but if I decide that it’s not working properly, I’ll definitely give them a call.

    I've had AHS for almost 18 years and I've had to call them a couple of times. The first time, I had a pipe break on a weekend. Their reps tried very hard to find a plumber to come to me. They called three or four different people before we finally got somebody who could come and it was still Monday before they could get to my location.

    Most recently, my dishwasher was leaking and upon submitting a claim to AHS, their contractor All Brands Appliance Repair contacted me right away. The rep from there was very helpful and she said that my issue was probably a seal. She said she was gonna order me a seal before their techs came out.     Worry Free Pools came out and did a really good job. They were very efficient. Our motor was burned up on our pool so they brought a new one down and installed it, and everything worked perfect.     My claim went perfectly. SDL Plumbing had a cancellation so they were able to get me in on the same day. The technician called prior to coming and was professional and real friendly. He was a good person. So it was a good visit. There's only one thing I didn't understand. I did the claim online but unfortunately, I’m having problems with my oven as well. I can’t get it to work. But if I call somebody out for the oven, do I have to do another servicing for my dryer? I can’t afford to pay $100 for each thing. That would be $300 that I’ll pay American Home Shield a month if I do those two. But I like where I pay them instead of having to write a check to somebody else.

    Somebody I go to church with recommended I get a home warranty. American Home Shield had more people so I picked them. The first contractor they gave me for my dishwasher wasn’t very good. He didn't respond. But the GE guy was good. The dishwasher wasn’t cleaning. The cycle was broke. It would turn on, but it wouldn’t clean anything. There were a couple parts required to fix it. The GE guy brought them out and fixed it. He had to order a part. It took a couple weeks to get the final part, but he got it fixed. He fixed it the first day, and then, he finalized it when he came on back. The dishwasher has been working since. He did a good job. I’m satisfied so far.

    American Home Shield sent out AH Appliances Repair for a service request we made. They came. But the problem was some parts they replaced. The door is not properly fixed on the refrigerator. I sent a video to that company but they said it cannot be fixed. Another issue I raised, that I actually requested a follow-up for, was because it is getting frost inside it. The door is not properly leveled at the top. There is an opening at the water dispenser and the lid is not properly closing causing frost inside the refrigerator. I called but I was on hold for a long time. they didn't respond. Also, with how they handled the shipping for the door, there was a dent. I raised a request for that as well but they didn’t respond properly.

    I also had a claim for a microwave and initially, the contractor changed the magnet in some part. After that, it worked for one or two days but it didn’t work later on. I called and one more switch was replaced. The microwave is working properly now which is good. Another claim was for a repair of the exhaust fan in the kitchen. That was good and there were no issues with that. Overall, the people came on time and fixed the problem with an exemption of the refrigerator guy who didn’t properly handle the problem.

    My heater has been out for two months. The guy from A-1 Quality Care who came out was super nice. It was like I know him really well since he was at my house like every week. There were a bunch of issues with my heater. He would find a part that was burned up and replace it, turn it on, and then something else would burn up. He’d replace the next part, turn it on, it’d burn up another part. He’s been trying to fix it. In total, three parts burned up, and all three have been replaced twice. A-1 had a specific person from Fujitsu, which is the type of equipment I have, who just happened to be his friend and was going to come out and look at it with him. They looked at it together and had it kind of working but it burned up again over the weekend.

    I called American Home Shield to let them know, and they transferred it to a new place. Now, I have a guy from Blue Jay Heating & Air coming out. And I feel like he’s kinda going down the same rabbit hole the other guy did, and he’s gonna have to start all over with everything. The AHS rep let me know that a lot of the smaller companies like A-1 and the Blue Jay aren’t really trained on the certain system I have. And so, it takes them a lot longer to figure them out.

    The Fujitsu system that I have is a mini split system, so it’s more computer-based. I’ve been told that bigger companies that have been trained on those types of things should be coming out and fixing it. I know AHS has contracts with certain places, but if they have contracts out there with bigger HVAC places that truly have training on it, it might help on both sides with AHS saving some money, and then customers like me having heat throughout the winter. Overall, AHS was prompt in making sure someone’s coming out.

    I’ve used Home Shield multiple times and I’ve only had one bad experience with them. But that one experience really left a bad taste in my mouth. In fact, I'm looking at another home warranty to switch to just based on that experience. The condenser on my air conditioning unit went out and they ordered the wrong part and shipped it to the wrong place. When we found out it was the wrong part, instead of letting the company that came out install the part, they had to order another part and they shipped it to the wrong place again. It ended up taking a month to get my air conditioner fixed in the middle of summer when there was no reason for it, just 'cause they want to use their company and their parts.

    They wouldn't do anything. It's a rent house and my renters are in the house in the middle of summer. I started off by buying an air conditioning window unit for them but it wasn't keeping it cool enough so I had to put the renters in a hotel. Home Shield was gonna give me $75 back but there was no reimbursement for them screwing up. So, I was a little upset.

    They also heard from me but it didn't bother them. I called and asked to talk to a supervisor and they refused to let me talk to one. They told me the person I was speaking to in the customer service representative place is the highest person I can talk to and they weren't gonna let me talk to anybody else. It was not an enjoyable experience. Up until that point, they've been great. We had an issue with the same AC unit where there was no power and they took care of it.

    I was pulling laundry out of my two-year-old drier and it made a pop noise. I tested the cord, the fuse box and all that stuff, and I couldn’t get it going. In the instruction book it doesn’t really fix anything. I called Sears and they were a little far out, in like two and a half weeks. But I got by, and then it turned out to be when you plug the cord in, it sticks. It’s a heavy-duty cord with an industrial outlet and I didn’t push hard enough, which is unusual ‘cause they checked the cord, I know it’s difficult, but it looked like it was in all the way. But that’s all it was, which was a good thing that it wasn’t anything worse. It wasn’t under warranty anymore.

    I did what AHS told me to and paid my $100 and then let the guy resolve it. When I received the acknowledgement on my text from Sears that they were coming, they gave me a phone number to call and I called them. They were efficient, but they said they couldn’t change the date. I had a couple of questions about timelines and if they could change it, but it was farther out and that was the soonest they could get to me. I was able to get my questions answered, but I didn’t know how things were gonna happen. It was just waiting it out till all the pieces fell together, but that’s fine.

    If it had been a waterline, I’m assuming somebody would’ve come right away, like under the sink or something like that. My stuff should still be pretty good, though. My house was on fire so it was completely redone. I also moved in a year and a half ago so everything’s brand-new. It shouldn’t be requiring too much, but just in case, I got the warranty. It is reasonable. It’s good to know you don’t have to try to hunt and find somebody, and then you find somebody who can’t do it or doesn’t seem capable of doing it and running through that whole mishmash of whether you're getting the right service or not. The warranty is reliable.

    Home Shield was recommended by a friend of ours. However, our claims experience is not as smooth as I would like it to have gone. Our pool pump went out. We made a claim. We have three pumps on our pool and the contractor said, "Well, they'll only cover one." We paid extra to have the pool on our policy so we had to call them back. The person that we were talking to, her English wasn't that great. Obviously it was a foreign descent. And it seemed like she didn't really know what she was doing and she was talking to somebody else. It was really hard to communicate with her.

    We wound up paying another $100 because when we made the original claim, we said our pool pumps were making noise. They sent the guy out and he said, "Yeah, they're all bad. You got three of them here. They've all gone out." When we called them and we talked to this gal and we had to make another claim, another $100. So then, they replaced the three pumps and I just got a bill from the company for $120 so I have to call American Home Shield to find out if I had insurance. I don't have copay. Why did I get charged $120?

    And then, while the guy was out here, after they drained the pumps, they turned the system on and another part of the pool started leaking water. It was the in-floor cleaning valve-something. He said, "We can't turn your pumps on until that gets fixed." So he talked to the insurance company and then called us up and said, "They're not gonna pay for that," and sent me an estimate for $920. $600 for the part and $300-something estimated on the labor. I thought, "No, this doesn't sound right to me." He showed me the broken part. I don't know why that wasn't covered. But I called my local guy that services my pool and he said, "Mark, all you need is a new base. $126, maybe an hour or so of labor to cut that one out and glue the new one in, and put your guts back in it and put the lid on it." Hell, that's a lot different than $920.

    The guy, and then his office, called to follow up. "While you're in this, I'll send you a check. And you got your estimate, but I'm gonna hold off on that for a second here." And then, my pool guy called me back and said, "No, Mark. Those things don't go bad. I'm surprised it cracked, but okay, it did. Just get a new base, $126, and it'll probably take us..." I said, "I already dug it out, where all the pipes are at. You can get to it." It wasn't that hard. The ground is real soft here right now. Home Shield is going to get a call from us on Monday. I don't know why I'm paying the extra money if they're not going to cover it.

    It's very easy to submit claims to AHS. I just put one this morning on my dishwasher. Recently, Loyalty Home Services came out for a plumbing issue. He replaced the disposal. We have had excellent people that have come in. They are timely. When the guy came to do the disposal from Loyalty, they said he would be there sometime between 11:00 and 1:00, and it was about 10:30 he called and said he was on his way. And he came and he exchanged the disposal, and he left before 11 o’clock. So, that was pretty good timeliness. I'm happy with AHS. I don’t have any complaints.

    I did the claim online and it was super easy. Then the customer service rep sent me an email with three options, which was introduced previously with phone a call, saying it was coming. I’ve dealt with other home warranties but the list of vendors they used was terrible. AHS seems to have, so far, on appliances, a pretty good vendor here in the area.     I’ve been dealing with AHS for many years for a lot of different properties. Being able to get on their site has gotten much better. And being able to pay online is definitely a big improvement for the service fee. West End Mechanical is one of their better vendors. They had to replace my AC unit's thermostat and that was fine. However, AHS has a couple of vendors that we are not really happy with. Also, it would be nice if there was better coverage as far as HVAC systems and if there was more disclosure. We had to have a water heater replaced and the out-of-pocket was over $700.

    The tech sent by Mr. Service, AHS's contractor, knew what he was doing. Our problem was the same issue that we've had before with our refrigerator. The tech did what he could do and now, we'll see how long the fix lasts. AHS has been awesome with us in the four years we've been dealing with them. We had an issue one time with our dishwasher and they sent someone out.     We’ve had AHS several times in the past in our other houses. When we purchased our house, we got them again and we've been with them for about six months now. We picked them because we felt that they did a good job for us the last time. There was also one time when we had a claim with our air conditioner. We had a problem with the contractor that we were assigned to first. They were saying some things that I didn’t feel were proper. The guy in charge of air conditioners came in and took care of it. He said, “Nope, you’re right. That’s not what was wrong.” He brought a contractor that he was familiar with and they took care of the problem. It was resolved. On a recent claim, we had an issue with the AC and we filed a claim for it. AHS sent us A-US Air Conditioning of Texas. The AC seemed to have been repaired properly and it’s functioning properly now.     I've had American Home Shield for about 12 years now because I've had it on my rental property in Georgia and another home in North Carolina. Now when I initially bought this home, there was a home warranty that came with it and the owners paid for that. I tried to use them to file a claim initially and I could not get through and I just ran back to American Home Shield and got the warranty myself. The turnaround time for a technician is awesome, so I've never had any issues. As soon as I called the work order in, either a technician comes out that day or the following day.

    This home has four bathrooms. Two of them always got clogged up. The water just kept on running on one of the bathrooms and never filled up to the top. I would have to turn it so it could stop. Then, I had a leak on one of the bathroom faucets. Also in my son's bathroom, something was broken when taking the top of the tank off. When flushing the toilet, the water goes everywhere. I called to file the claim. The representative was very professional and courteous. He answered my questions, put in the claim, and All American Plumbing and Rooter Services came out quickly so I was very pleased with that. The contractor fixed the bathrooms.

    I took out American Home Shield in the year of 2016 and in fact, my next door neighbor once told me about them. I asked if she was sure then she told me how she did it. I haven’t had to use the warranty but twice. Once for my hot water tank and then for the air conditioning service. I have two air conditioners, one up and one down. With the air conditioning service (the second time I’ve had to use them), the guy just came in, went up and looked at the vents in the ceiling. He opened the vent and said that the filter in that had stuck up. He pulled it out and said if I had another filter, he'd put it in for me. If you have two units, it would be two up there and it would be checked also. I thought he was gonna pull the thing down, but that wasn’t done.

    He then went outside and said something about it had Freon in it and he had to replace something. I keep a filter for upstairs and another one for downstairs, but I asked whether or not they supplied that. If he was doing the air conditioning system and he was dealing with the filter, doesn’t he check or do that? He said there are thousands of kinds of filters and they wouldn’t know what to have. To me, if you’re coming to a home to service an air conditioner, then why don’t you ask the person what kind they have. He could have also asked the size of my filter. That way he might have a couple or either one on hand and when he comes, that might need to be replaced too. The filters cost nothing and that would be a nice service to provide. That’s what he was getting paid for and that’s why I called him.

    If I told him I didn’t have a filter, what was he gonna tell me? I'm paying my money every month in all the months, then years had gone by and I haven’t had to use the warranty. To me, the filter should be included in too. I’m a woman and I know how to look up there and find the size. I may not change it because I can’t reach up there, but when my son comes through, he will change it for me if I ask him to do it. Still, I have recommended American Home Shield since I’ve had it anyway.

    It was a very pleasant experience having the gentleman from Precision Lock & Safe come out to do a rekey. He was very timely, professional and qualified. It was a relief to have our locks changed as new occupants here, to know that we are the only ones with the key access to our property. He was knowledgeable, skillful and helpful. He had very good customer service and interpersonal relation skills as well.

    American Home Shield was our home warranty service for about five years with our prior home in Victorville. When we sold that and purchased in Apple Valley, we wanted to keep American Home Shield because we'd had all pleasant experiences during all of the years that they serviced us. They’ve always answered my questions and been responsive. American Home Shield also had more coverage for items in the home, for the same price, than another home warranty service that I became aware of during that purchase. I know American Home Shield had coverage for our washer and dryer before. We needed service because our washer stopped working for some reason. But the other company did not include washer and dryer service in their contract. It would have cost us $80 more to add that.

    Also, American Home Shield had provisions for us to include a roofing inspector, say for $100 more, to come out and do whatever is necessary. They indicated that and when I spoke with the Roofing RX, they told me that if there was any repair needed, that they would be in a position to service any repair need I had. When I spoke with the other warranty company, they told me that they would come out, inspect our roof and make a recommendation but they would not do any repairs if there were any needed. However, prior to purchase, our home inspector made an observation that there are a couple of roofing tiles that have slid out of place. The American Home Shield roofer told me that they could and would take care of that. The other warranty company told me that they would not provide or touch or do anything. That’s what I wanted to add.

    Right after we moved in to our location in Florida, we thought we had American Home Shield's coverage but we didn't. We signed up for it then had to wait six months. We got pool coverage with them. Six months after that, we had a problem with our pool and I called in to tell them what the problem was. AHS sent somebody out and then their contractor told me that they needed to make sure the repair was covered. I asked what they meant by making sure that the repair is covered when I had already told AHS what the issue was and they sent somebody out. The contractors then came back to tell me that my claim was not covered.

    I responded saying “So, you mean I paid $100 and told y’all what was wrong and you sent somebody out here anyway and the claim isn’t covered?”. The techs said "yup". Eventually, I got the $100 I paid for the service call credited back to me but then it ended up costing me $430 to get the board for the pool replaced. I never received a copy of my home warranty when I bought it. I have a copy now and I will know in the future if my claim will be covered or not.

    More recently, my ice maker wasn't making ice. I submitted a claim to AHS and their contractor, Sears came to do service. The tech told me that the issue was a user problem rather than a problem with the unit itself. He showed me a couple of things and that fixed the problem. He had the personality of a stick but he did his job. In the 15 or 20 years I've been with AHS, their contractors have pretty much always done a good job. I used to be a real estate agent and I have recommended a lot of people to American Home Shield. It's important to have a residential service contract. I had a problem years ago and had to have a unit replaced. That was $3,000 and AHS paid for all of it but the $75 deductible that I had to pay for at the time.

    The AC unit leaked all the Freon out, and American Home Shield paid for $10 per pound, but it was $45 a pound. So it ended up costing us almost $1,000 to get this fixed, but the service was good.     The air conditioner wasn’t working. The fan outside wasn’t cooling off and warm air was coming out. I called American Home Shield but nobody was on the phone so they gave me a ticket. World Class AC was supposed to go then I had to call. They gave me an appointment to get to my residence and fix the AC. I was supposed to be at home.

    The technician fixed the AC right away. He checked the cables, adjusted everything, cleaned it, and checked the Freon. He checked the flow. Sometimes, it freezes those lines. It was those wires inside the fan from the outside. He tied them up between, and it made the contact again. The AC started working right away. The guy did a good job. He was pretty friendly, very humble and helpful, too. He gave me a couple tips to help with maintaining the unit. I would like to have the same guys back again. He's a person I can trust.

    When I recently had issues with appliances, I was not happy with the particular people that came out to do it. They always seemed to give me grief. I’ve requested numerous times in getting another appliance company when that issue arises, and that doesn’t seem to be possible. I understand, but there seem to be only certain people in certain areas that will do certain calls.

    Then when I paid for an electrical issue, I've yet to be able to get anybody out here. I called Home Shield and they said they would send out another call to the contractor, but I've yet to hear anything back. I was going to call them today to find out how we'd go about resolving it because I paid my money but I didn’t get any service.     There was an issue with the oven range hood. The fan motor or something was wrong with it, and there were some hinges that were not working on the door. I then made a phone call to submit my claim to American Home Shield and spoke to somebody. What typically happens is I call to file a claim and they send me a follow-up email immediately with who the person is going to be. Then that person reaches out within a day or two. Hazelett Appliance Service was the best contractor they have ever sent out. It was finally completed about a week ago because they had to order something that kept getting damaged in the shipping. But, as of now, everything is great. This home warranty company came with the house and I've been with them for three years already.

    The contractor that AHS sent was great. He did a good job. The motherboard on the control panel went out. I called it on a Friday and he came Monday, and then he had to order the part, and it took about a week. Then he came back and got it fixed. He was very professional and friendly. We've been with AHS for 12 years now and I like that I can place the request online and someone calls me back pretty quickly and they come out and they fix it. Only one time I had an issue when my water heater went out, that was a nightmare ‘cause the company I was dealing with took forever to get the water heater. And we had to take really cold showers and it was very unpleasant. It was in the wintertime. And that was really frustrating, but that was the only time we had any issues.     Our AC wasn’t working once it started getting hot. We called American Home Shield and they sent Blizzard Air. Their guy couldn’t really tell if it was working. He put in about 10 pounds of Freon and then came back on the following Tuesday to check it and sealed up some of the issues on the line. The AC unit is probably 20 feet from the house, so there’s a really long line in between the house and the AC. He knew how much they would get reimbursed and that they did charge more. And so, the second day, when he put in a little more Freon, he said, “It’s fine. We’ll cover it. No problem.” He didn’t even charge for it. The weather’s been pretty moody but on the days when it’s hot, the AC seems to be working fine. So far, so good.

    The past few times I called AHS, I've gotten someone who doesn't have too thick on an accent so I didn't have issues with understanding.     I submitted a claim to AHS because the dishwasher wasn’t working. This was back in December when we put in the first order. And then, Valley Pro came out. Then they said they need to order a part, which they apparently did, but it took a while for the part to come. Then they came and said that it was fixed but it wasn’t. Then we called them back, and then I don't know what happened, back and forth. But I found that it still wasn’t working. We've had Valley Pro before and there was no problem. I don't know what the issue was this time, in the service end of it. And so, when I called AHS back in March, I said, “Can we just have somebody else come out and check?” Then A & R Appliance Repair came out and they checked and worked at it. They said it was just a clog, they undid it and now, it works. I love American Home Shield. I have no problems with them. Whenever I called them, they listened and they followed up and got a different person.

    So far – the freezer compartment, the refrigerator itself and the icemaker – everything is working okay. I had Cooper Appliances and everything came out fine as far as they thought it was the evaporator coil. When the technician was finishing up and they did their test on it, the compressor had a problem. So they replaced the compressor. He finished a week ago yesterday and then he had to come back because there was a problem closing the freezer door on the bottom. He came back, figured out what the problem was and fixed that in a very short period of time then that was it. The service was excellent.

    The gentleman that came in here was very knowledgeable in what he was doing. He represented himself and the company as well-dressed and well-mannered and he did the work they had to do. If I was an employer, I’d hire him. I was really happy with the whole turn of events.     I called a claim in on a Sunday afternoon and I had gotten an email that AAction Air had been assigned to it. I also called AAction on their phone to let them know to expect an assignment. They were at my house at about 11 o’clock the next day. My air conditioning wasn’t cooling and the house kept getting hotter and hotter.     We had a dryer that was squeaking and eating clothes. The tech from Professional Appliance came out and checked it, found the issue, ordered a part, was back a week later, got it fixed.     I understand not everything got covered. But citing the section of the claim why it’s not covered doesn't do a whole lot besides irate people.     I've had American Home Shield for several years and it hasn't paid off yet. I keep thinking maybe I won't have them, but then I've got some appliances that are getting old, so I decided to keep it. When my dryer ran but it wasn't drying, I was really happy that they sent Sears out. They sent them within two days and it was done. The hose that takes all the lint out had come off, so all this lint was inside of a hole in my dryer. The guy was very good. He explained what happened, and he cleaned that up. I was pleased.

    However, I tried to use American Home Shield the year before with the water heater, and they were gonna send someone out. I looked up the reviews on who they were sending out and people had complaints about him. He came out under Home Shield and said something was covered, but another wasn't, so it was going to cost extra. I didn't want him and I called Home Shield. They said to give them a couple of days and they would try to find someone else. I wasn't pleased with that. We're going out without hot water and we needed the water heater right then. A family member owns a plumbing company, and they just did the job for us.

    We live up in the mountains and it's not that far out of El Cajon, maybe 25 minutes or so, but not everybody wants to come out here. That's the problem. I would love it if I could say I know somebody here and go through them. There were a couple of times they wanted to send somebody out, and I didn't want them. I investigate and read the reviews. I don't want someone coming out and not fixing it properly or like the water heater guy.

    The dishwasher wouldn’t clean and I’ve been working on getting it fixed since February. I had a tech that came out who said that he was gonna order the part. But that was something about electricity so an electrician came out. The electrician said it was all right so the part never came in. I then called and AHS sent me a new dishwasher. They finally got that over here, but the dishwasher guy wouldn’t put it in. I don’t think he was a plumber. Also, I was stupid and sent it back because I didn’t know I would have to pay a restocking fee.

    Finally, the parts came in and they sent somebody out to put the parts in. But that didn’t fix the issue at all. I called them back and told them I just wanted the new machine. I had to pay the restocking fee and they brought the new machine and put it in my living room. They didn’t even look at the dishwasher. the guy that brought the first machine out also never even looked in the dishwasher. I'm satisfied and happy with American Home Shield itself, but I am not satisfied with the people they've sent out at all.

    Integrity Plumbing did a fabulous job. I was very pleased. We had a leak in the water heater, and I called American Shield on a Saturday evening when we discovered it. They told me that they would send somebody out. They also gave me the number of the company. I called them about the same time they were getting ready to call me, and they made an appointment for Monday afternoon. But then, when they realized we were senior citizens, they made it on Monday morning because of the virus thing going around, so that we would be sure not to be contaminated. It seems to be the people that need the jobs that are not really well-known. But the tech from Appliance Superheroes was fine and he did a good job. The appliance is fine now. It just took a week to get a part and that was my only disappointment. Other people that I had called before had the part in stock and came to fix it right away.

    Regarding our recent claim with AHS, the refrigerator was replaced because the technician couldn’t get a part for it. And I really appreciate American Home Shield for that. For the dishwasher, the contractor said that he replaced something. But for whatever reason, I’ve been trying to change detergents, trying to see if that would help, but it hasn’t been getting my dishes clean. That was my complaint at first. And now, it’s worse. He said he’s coming back today. I heard from him today and he said he’d be back to try to clean the dishwasher and see if that would help because I’m seeing stuff on the dishes after I wash it that had nothing to do with anything that I know about before. But I’m really pleased with everything that’s happened in the past couple of weeks. I feel like he’s doing as well as he can. I don't have any complaints about him because he seems very thorough and knowledgeable.

    The only issue I have had, I was on hold for about an hour last week. But I understand. We got a lot of stuff going on in the world, unfortunately. And when I finally talked to the lady in the replacement center, she was so nice, pleasant and accommodating. I almost forgot about how much time I had waited. She was very good.

    So far, I'm very happy with American Home Shield. My AC unit was not cooling and at the beginning, I was having issues with the website, but it could have been my computer. For some reason, the platform kept saying it couldn’t find my account number, but it eventually worked. I ended up restarting my computer and coming back later. It took two days to get someone out and the guy from AMP Mechanical was very professional. He answered all my questions too. It was good and now, the AC is cooling the house, which is what I needed.

    Some of the reps that I talked to when we had the problem with our air conditioning unit on the outside were very snippy. It didn’t seem like there was a sense of urgency. We were without any air for almost three weeks in August and had to have windows and everything opened. It really messed up everybody’s allergies and Home Shield didn’t seem to care. We called the company that installed the outside unit and had them take a look at it. They hid off a couple of parts in there with some kind of a special wrap, so it wouldn’t cause any further damage to the unit. The people from Home Shield and the company that they sent out made it seem like it was tampered with, like the homeowner did something illegal to it. It was a whole big mess. It was determined that they weren’t gonna do anything. They were just dragging their feet. It wasn’t the Home Shield that we knew and we’ve been with them a long time.

    My dishwasher claim is probably the best experience I've had this year, and 2019. BA Distributing came out to fix my dishwasher. They were very nice and it was handled very well and quickly. But I was thinking about upgrading my dishwasher. The Home Shield person that was out to fix my dishwasher didn’t notice that the hose was entirely too long. It was crinkled up and it was causing the water not to flow out. So about every three months, I gotta call somebody out here and service this dishwasher.

    I had it set up and I wanted to get a new one, so I asked Home Shield how much would they pay on a new dishwasher so I can know what I’m up against. The rep said they couldn’t tell me that. They used to tell their customers what they would pay but the rep said they don’t do that anymore. We can’t know the prices that they get from their suppliers or contractors. She was kinda snippy like I was getting on her nerves wasting her time. Home Shield has some people in there that don’t know how to talk to people.

    AHS is a good deal but a lot of things need to be explained. If you have a tech come in and they serviced some other product in your home while they were there and something occurs to that extra service they provided, it won’t be covered under the initial service that he came to work on. When my dryer blew a fuse, someone from Sears came the day after I submitted my claim. It was the same tech and he was like a neighbor. A bunch of my friends that I introduced to AHS was having a lot of problems with paying out a lot of money. I said that they were all homeowners and they needed to get AHS. They thank me every day that they see me.

    Bear Plumbing & Rooter had been out recently and fixed a leak in the toilet in February. They said that it had been repaired. But it was not. And so, they came back out March, and they inspected and told me what they thought was the problem now was actually a leak within the wall, within the pipe. In this last particular instance, American Home Shield did not pay. They said that the leak was outside the contract and so they did not pay.

    But their service usually is very good. I had one dispute over the course of my contract regarding faucets that were supposed to be repaired. And when the plumber arrived, they said that they only had one faucet identified. On the work order, it actually said faucets. But other than that, certainly, AHS responds rapidly, effectively and efficiently to a request for service. And usually, they make contact right away with the vendor, and the vendor responds quickly and efficiently to the service call. So, you’re able to get the service that you are requesting.

    Expert Pools was fantastic. The tech was were on time and really nice, and had good communication. He took care of the problem in one shot and had things done super quickly. It's all good. Overall, the contractors American Home Shield have sent were okay. Some were better than others but mostly, they were good. I just wish American Home Shield would cover septic system because we have one and they know. Sometimes it’s a bit of a hassle but communication is the key – if you are persistent enough to get things taken care of. But I've been with them since 2011 and so far, they’ve been able to fix things that are broken.
