    We like American Home Shield. We haven’t had any issues. Once, we had an issue that we thought was a big problem. My wife had gone through an initialization of finding out what was wrong and thankfully, it was just a vent that got taken down or something that was dirty. So when the gentleman came out, he replaced the vent and showed her how to clear off an area. He also said if we have any other issues, to give him a call. He was from American Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning.

    Buyer beware. It is a fact that if you cancel service with this company for any reason, they will claim that you never cancelled and will continue to bill you. I cancelled my credit card just to get away from them so they then sent me to collections for months that the warranty was not active due to me canceling. Read the many reviews about how they unfairly deny claims and lie. They are in business only to steal from consumers by having them pay for warranties that they can never really use. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they responded to that with lies also. To me its not about the $150 they are trying to now steal, its the principle that they should not be lying and stealing from consumers.

    I like the convenience of the website. I can go on to place my order. It’s easier and quicker than doing it by phone. I can put it in and be done with it. Then I know that someone is gonna call me the next day. I also like the convenience of not having to worry about paying. When the contractors come, the payment is already taken out from when I put my card on the payment each month. So I really like American Home Shield. It’s really working for me.

    The first time we had something done, the contractor was great. Then the ones that came for the air conditioner last week, Express Heating and Cooling, were really nice to us. They were on time. The issue was that when we turned the air conditioner on, nothing was coming on. It’ll say it’s cool on but nothing was blowing out. They explained everything to my husband. They explained what they were gonna do before they did it and they took the time to ask or answer questions. So they were very professional.

    In the beginning, I didn’t like American Home Shield's customer service, so I didn't know if I'm gonna keep them. I have a few friends saying it's not worth it and what they had to go through with them made them very aggravated. I never had a problem in the house, too. I called them twice and the problem was resolved. This time, if they give me a hard time, like everybody said, I probably will cancel. It was all electronic and they call me right away. They set up a person to come right away and I didn't have no problem, so I'm gonna still keep the insurance.

    Controlled Comfort came for an AC issue. My husband was home and he said everything was fine. He was very impressed and happy with the guy that showed up. He liked his knowledge and that he was not trying to overcharge. Plus he fixed the problem and that’s what is most important. I'm gonna recommend my son also to get AHS. I have a very good experience this time, so I have nothing to complain about.

    Our previous house was close to 10 years old when we bought it. We had a lot of issues then and we could tell that the home warranty company we had didn't wanna pay. They would send Flamingo out for the constant issues we had with our refrigerator. Eventually my wife said that we were tired of having stuff done on it and told them to stop coming for service calls if we need a new unit. Sure enough, the techs agreed that we needed a new refrigerator. We ended up getting one and it was good timing. Still, the company I had all these stipulations. One of the stipulations was that I have to get my HVAC serviced twice a year to be able to have any claims approved. Plus, the warranty company said they wouldn't renew our policy because we had too many claims.

    We went with American Home Shield as we liked the value of their coverage. We had High Priority Plumbing come out for a plumbing issue recently and it went really well. The tech who went here was really professional. He was very nice and he explained everything. Submitting a claim to AHS is really quick and provides good value compared to calling a plumber. I would definitely recommend AHS to anybody I know who is looking for a home warranty.

    We had two faucets that were not working properly. So, AZ Remodeling & Plumbing replaced the temperature gauges on the top of the sink in both bathrooms. Then, we also had a toilet that was running where they came in for and installed a new piece on. We had an electrician from a completely different vendor come as well and that was a good experience. Everything has run very smoothly with all the contractors. Submitting claims to American Home Shield has always been very easy, too. The online method is ideal -- it is very simple and to the point.     A friend of mine recommended American Home Shield. Overall, their service has been fine. I just don’t know what to do when people come out and don’t do what they're supposed to do. I had some people come out because I had to call in for my washer and dryer. It’s still making the same noise. I also had Maeser Services for a claim and their tech was fine. He told me that he had to put Freon back in it. He said that the tech that I had last time didn't do what they were supposed to do. That was through American Home Shield too. I was not a happy camper. I had to pay money to put Freon in and I just put Freon in last summer. But there has been a lot going on so I haven't had a chance to contact American Home Shield.

    Recently, Hansen Mechanical came out for an AC issue. My husband thought they were okay, but right now, the AC is not blowing out cool air. It's something about the coil. There's a leak. They've been pretty booked and are coming out next week. AHS seemed to handle the claim very well and the rep kept me posted. Recently, I left a message to let her know the payment method, but she didn't respond back. It has been about three days, but it's no biggie.

    Air Magic was great. They came out when the AC unit stopped working. I had called and American Home Shield set that claim right up. Everything was good. Then we got in touch with the contractor and we set the schedule up with them. They called us pretty quickly. The first time they came out, they fixed the one thing that had gone wrong. But the fan ended up getting broken a day later. The cold air stopped blowing again and they had to come back. I had to submit a request based on the same claim and they fixed the fan. It took a couple days but it wasn't that bad. As far as the heat, it was uncomfortable but they did it as fast as they could. They came out and fixed the fan and I called twice to follow up but everything has been okay since then. The AC has been working so I'm happy with that. It's really good having American Home Shield.

    I had an electrical problem in the house and AHS sent Sunbelt Electric and they were able to take care of that, which is good. Fortunately, it was the same day that I filed the claim. Otherwise, we’d have been walking around a dark house. The contractor was very good. He was very professional and knew exactly what to do. And I sort of felt kinda funny because I was standing over his shoulder, watching him. I wanted to see how it was done too. He was there for about half an hour and he was very helpful. Whatever he did it was good. American Home Shield's contractors seem to do very well and are very well-trained. They got all the information they need and it makes it a lot easier.

    I'd rather that the contractors do not come anymore. They don’t seem to do anything when they come. They do little odds and ends, but they never fixed the problem they came for. The tech came to unclog the bathroom sink but he couldn’t unclog it because the up lift thing was broken. In another time he replaced the valve here in the toilet, which was working fine already. But he couldn’t unhook the toilet because it wasn’t covered by American Home Shield. I don’t know how they are going to put a seal on it if you don’t unloosen the toilet from the floor. I called a plumber and he came out the next day, took care of the problem in 10 minutes.

    Recently, it's been difficult to call in for claims. I don’t know if it’s because of the virus or not because everywhere I call, I’m having to wait a long time. It’s hard to get a hold of AHS, and I'm on hold and I had to wait a long time to get them. When I tried to do it online, they claim I didn’t have an account with them. So, I had to just sit there and wait on hold. I had to call the sales department and they answered. I said, “Well, it’s funny when you’re selling the coverage, somebody answer the phone immediately and ready to do business.” The rep from the sales department transferred me over and somebody did answer.

    I've been with American Home Shield for about seven to eight years now and they seem to be responsive. Recently, TGM Appliance Service came to repair a dishwasher. It had a pump problem. The initial meeting was the diagnosis. The guy had to wait on a part. He came back about five days later. I had also sent in a claim a couple of years ago for a washer. They actually replaced it and I sent in all the receipts, but I never got reimbursed. I verified it through my checking account. It could have gotten lost or misplaced. I should call their customer service and ask them about it.

    I came home and I had no AC. I submitted a claim with Home Shield online. And then, once Greenway Heating and Cooling came out, everything went fine. The tech explained a lot of stuff in detail and was very friendly. I had no Freon. I was low on refrigerant in pounds. He added dye in the refrigerant.

    Most of the time, AHS's claims process is pretty good. When I first got their coverage 10 years ago at another property that I rent out, it was very hard and they fought everything. Now, if I call with a reasonable request, they're pretty responsive. Plus the contractors we've had through them have been very good. Most recently, AHS's contractor, DMV Pro Tech, came out to do my dishwasher. They did a good job.

    I called American Home Shield the first time about the oven, and then I realized that the igniter of the stovetop had not been working correctly. I remembered that so I asked if we could add that to the same service call and the claims rep agreed. He was very polite. They sent True Vine Appliance Repair who came right on time and was exceptional. The second time, the owner of the company came and he was the one who told me about the igniter and that he would replace the part if it seemed to be necessary, so he was very helpful.

    The igniter is still having trouble but he told me that it might. I just have to work with it because it takes a few seconds for the flame to come up which means there are gasses escaping. But then, turning it all the way low and pushing it makes it come on. He told me that if that did not correct itself after what he had done, then I should call him back. I haven't cooked a lot since then and so I wasn't able to call. I will probably have to go through Home Shield to do it. Overall, I'm very pleased.

    American Home Shield is great. We have had them for four years and they’re excellently doing what they’re doing now. They stick to their word and I never had any problem with them. If your appliance or something is broken, they will come out and fix it. If they can't fix it, they will bring a brand new one. The last episode we had was with the washer and I had a very good experience. We were out of washing clothes for a minute, but the contractor was dedicated to his word and he came out. My wife was home when he took care of it, and we are back to washing clothes again.

    Both my wife and I take care of submitting claims and it’s very easy, but she takes care of it most of the time. I work for Amazon, and I’m mostly busy all the time. Plus, I do little side jobs too. Still, if I need to take care of it, if she needs me to pay the $75, then that is not a problem. My wife pays the monthly bill religiously and they go ahead and do what they need to do to please the customer. We’re very happy with American Home Shield. They’re awesome.

    I had Choice Warranty and had a horrible experience with them. AHS was referred to me and it has been pretty good as a home warranty provider. Their claims process was easy. The first time the contractor came for our air conditioning unit, they were backed up and it took about eight days before they came out. But when they came to revisit the issue, it was a little quicker and they came out after four days.

    My air conditioner wasn’t working and once I submitted the claim online, it said that the contractor will get back with me, and then within the next day, United Air Temp did. They came out and they did a good job. It took a couple of days before they got here, but it was good. I like them. But I had a horrible experience with another contractor before. The guys showed up late and they didn’t give us a receipt. They were unprofessional. I made a formal complaint against that company. I usually do my claims online. It's easy that way and then I just pay it there. It’s like an automatic payment comes out. I’m happy with everything.

    I noticed that my AC wasn't cooling like it should. Normally every spring and fall, they have the tune-up. I usually just go ahead and do those just to make sure everything's in proper order, but noticed that they didn't have that. So, I went ahead and made a claim online. I got texts from the contractors every step of the way. They were on time and I always love when companies can text you their ETA. That always makes it nice with three kids and four dogs to put up and get cleared out of the way.

    The tech came, and with everything going on with the virus, he was all prepared with face mask. He didn't find anything wrong with the AC. He just checked the Freon. He didn't really look in the unit. Usually, when they've done the check-up, they opened it up and looked at all the pieces. He suggested that I get the coils cleaned and I paid an additional $80 to the company for them to go ahead and clean the coils. The AC is an older unit but I have noticed that it's getting cooler though it just takes longer. I'm maintaining it and I'm doing everything I can. As a Realtor I would always add AHS onto our contract for my clients and I've always maintained it as a peace of mind.

    I was having issues with my hot water pipes and I called American Home Shield. They gave me a plumbing company, Vector Appliances, who then got in contact with my homeowner's insurance. Currently, Vector is at my location and they're trying to figure my issue out. They have to reroute my hot water pipes. So far, AHS has been doing a good job when I call over the past two or three years that I've been protected through them. Their reps tell me who to call. AHS is very efficient.

    I'm very happy with AHS. I have 2 really good experiences with them. They've been fast and efficient. They check out with me and the last 2 people that came out were awesome. They fixed the issue right away. With my first experience, it seemed like it was weird because the first person came, looked at the issue, and said he couldn't do anything. So, I called in to AHS and they said, "Don't worry. We’ll send a different plumbing company to come check it out and see if we could get a second opinion. You’re not gonna get the service charge." They came out, fixed the issue in 20 minutes, and it was awesome. The last claim was for my upper kitchen faucet. I needed that changed ‘cause it was squeaking and not working well. I had a faucet ready and it got changed. It was perfect.

    The kitchen faucet was broken and the bathroom had backage so we had sewage backing up in the tub and the shower. The technician who was friendly and professional was able to fix the backage in the sewage in one day. He said that it will probably happen again but it's fixed for right now. He had to come back for the faucet because I had to get a new one. American Home Shield's response time was excellent. I put the claim in on a Sunday and the technician came out on a Monday. My deductible wasn't an arm and a leg. It's also nice to be able to put multiple things on there so I'm not constantly paying a deductible over and over again.

    I had a leak in my shower, the toilet was making noise and the sinks were leaking in the kitchen. The contractor came when they said they were gonna come and they called ahead. All the issues were resolved except for the sink where the base of the faucet was leaking. They also came to check the hot water heater. The guy said that the water heater seemed fine but he had to up the volume of the heat. The water was still running cold even with that so I knew it was past the time to call them but I had to test the water and see if the water was still cold. He went outside and looked for leaks where the water runs outside. He checked that and that was okay.

    I was checking the water and when I turned it on, I noticed that it didn’t turn hot right away and I had to wait. So, I was wasting water. When I called them back, they said that it was another $80.44 charge because they already closed out the claim. Because of the things that I had going on, I was charged that on the 5th, the 7th, and twice on the 27th. I told them that I’ve been a customer with American Home Shield for a long time and the bill should at least be cut in half. They told me I had to speak to a manager, which I requested. I held on for quite some time to no avail and I wound up hanging up. So, I’m thinking about taking my business somewhere else.

    The contractors came and did what they could especially Eric, who was the spearhead in the job taking care of all what needed to be done. He was very cordial, respectful, on time and let me know what was going on throughout because it was all over my house and I have four great grandkids here to see after. So, going back-and-forth, they did a good job.

    When I called for the condenser in my air condition system, the same thing happened. The lady said that they already closed out the work order. I should’ve left that alone or paid $80.44 again. So, I told the lady that I was gonna start looking for somebody else because I felt that that was very unfair. I didn’t care if it was closed out. The guy said that he didn’t do ductwork, so I have to call back. I called back AHS and the lady said that they would have to see about it. I was on the phone two days in a row trying to get them on the phone and every time I called, they just kept me on hold.

    The door of the filter at the bottom of the refrigerator, which is for the ice and the water that runs, keeps coming open. So, that was something else that was added on. So, I said to the guy that I needed a new refrigerator. When I called American Home Shield, the woman told me that they have to go back to the contract and see what they say. She said that it depends on the contractor who was coming the next day tomorrow to do the repairs. I said that I needed an updated refrigerator and that I’ve been using one for six years. She asked how many times the contractor has come. I told her it was the second time that the person was here. I asked if that didn’t qualify me for a new refrigerator. She said that they would have to go back to the contractor. She never came back to me.

    My washing machine is like somebody is in my washing machine and this was the second time they came for the washing machine. She said that they would have to go back to the contractor and go by what they said. In the meantime, I’m making a payment to AHS every month of almost $80. Plus, I have a rental property that they service as well. So, it was good money being passed on to bad. I don’t feel satisfied with what AHS is doing. I’ve been with them since 2015, so I have a history with them, and I have to keep both my homes covered.

    The air conditioner was blowing the breaker. There were several problems and it turned out to be a bad compressor. It's an old HVAC unit, so I finally replaced it. I had Total Comfort HVAC replace the whole unit. It took them a week. They started on a Monday doing the tear out. They also replaced all of my ducts. That was something I’ve been putting off. I had to make a decision to replace the unit was because the compressor was one of the major repairs AHS doesn’t cover much on. But they've been great with all those repairs and nursing this unit long up until now. It just happened to be one where it was still gonna cost at least $1,500 out of my own pocket. It was not smart to putting my money into that unit.

    I put in a service request to have my washer fixed a month ago. The contractor came to my residence and concluded the part they needed to fix it is no longer made. A week goes by and I don't hear anything from American Home Shield or the contractor. I contacted the contractor and they said they contacted AHS and told them the situation. Two weeks, later AHS tells my service request has been "fulfilled." I call AHS again because my request has NOT been fulfilled because my washer is STILL BROKEN.

    Over the course or 2 weeks, I have called AHS 4 TIMES to have my problem deferred to someone else and not solved. Representatives have said they need the contractor to redo their report so that my washer can be fixed, but absolutely no one has made an effort to do that. The last representative I was on the phone with HUNG UP ON ME AFTER BEING ON HOLD FOR 1 HOUR. My washing machine is still broken and that is the only thing I want to be addressed. If you all can't do that give me back my $100 for the service request and I'll take my business elsewhere.

    Since posting my review on Consumer Affairs, a representative from American Home Shield, Stacy **, contacted me about my frustrations and anger concerning a job request I initiated almost three months ago. First, she PM me through Consumer Affairs, apologized, and gave me her contact information to personally assist me with my unresolved issue with AHS. I have to be honest, I believed Stacy was going to make a pathetic, sluggish attempt to assuage my experience and current situation. Boy was I surprisingly, but happily, wrong!


    Stacy made several attempts to contact me through email and by phone. She LISTENED to me. She HEARD me. But most of all, she HELPED me. Stacy did not make excuses. What she did do was fix my problem with her company. My service request from three months ago has been resolved. Stacy setup for a technician from AV HAWAIIAN POOL AND SPA to assess my problem with my pool filter yesterday (5/28/2020).     I made an online service request through my home warranty, American Home Shield, for my pool filter on 06 March 2020. AHS sent a contractor from Turner Electrical and Lighting Inc. to my home to assess the problem. He said he needed to order a part to fix my pool filter. It is now 20 May 2020. My weekly pool service technician warned me about possible algae growth on the pool cartridges in the pool filter since the pool filter has not run since March. My pool guy also said algae will start growing in the pool water because the weather is getting warmer.

    I have tried contacting AHS on several occasions. However, on 18 May 2020, is the one day that clearly revealed to me the total lack of professionalism and courtesy from the AHS customer service department. I called AHS customer service 6 times. The first five times my call was dropped as I waited for customer service. The 6th time, I actually spoke to someone, but she kept me on hold for 1 hour 48 minutes! Then all of a sudden, the "elevator music" cuts off. I'm still waiting! No one came back to help me, so I hung up. Once again, AMERICAN HOME SHIELD, you charge me monthly to use your service! You charge me a service fee to send someone to assess my problem! Yet you DO NOT take responsibility when YOU are at fault. You just hide behind your inept customer service department.

    What a scam. Had the service for 12 mos with no service calls. At the end of 12 mos they jacked up our rates by 45% on the next yearly contract! Took 30 mins to reach customer service to cancel (can't do it online). They gave the excuse that due to increased service calls from Covid 19 they have to raise the rates. I could have accepted a modest 5-10% increase and would have probably let it go, but 45% and using the pandemic as an excuse! This is despicable! I'm so glad we didn't have to use their service, if this how they do business, it would most likely have been a nightmare. At some point enough is enough.

    Short story. My last call was in February 2017 to cancel. Automatic renewal Credit card on file. So when that expired in 2020 I started to get paper bills. I had unknowingly paid for 3 years and had to pay the last 2 months since card expired AND cancellation fee. My fault for not following up but the hoops I had to jump through to cancel the 2nd time is absurd. Service isn't worth it. Not at all. Find another company.

    My pool's cleaner wasn't cleaning one time and we thought we had a cleaner issue. We took care of that but it still was not working. We submitted a claim to American Home Shield by the phone. Speaking to their rep and trying to pinpoint the problem. was a frustrating experience. The rep didn't know whether my issue was an electrical or a plumbing one and neither did I. The rep told me that I would have a contractor out in 24 to 72 hours. However, AHS contractor Eco Pool Service was late and I wasn't very pleased with them. It took them a few times before they got the fix right. The third time was the charm and things have been functioning beautifully since then. Still, I've had better times with other claims with AHS.

    When I used to submit claims to American Home Shield by phone, it was super aggravating. Their customer service people aren't very helpful. Because I didn't wanna wait on hold, I went online to submit a claim and that was a lot easier. Everything happened quicker and there was no breakdown in communication. However, they tried to say my problem wasn't qualified under their warranty when my hot tub was having issues. That time, I had to have a second contractor come out and look at the issue.

    The process was frustrating because the first contractor AHS sent wasn't great at communicating. They wouldn't call back or answer the phone. Still, the second contractor sent was a lot better about it. But then, they said it would take six weeks for them to get approval to do the job. There is always a delay with AHS. One time my pilot light for my water heater went out. It turned out that there was a little contraction in the heater that keeps the light going and it wasn't working. So, I would have to relight it so that I would have hot water. AHS's contractors would then say the heater works fine as it was lit.

    It was very time consuming and contractors had to come out several times. Most recently, my pool was bubbling from one of the filters. I submitted a claim and AHS sent Xact Pool & Spa to service the claim. It turned out that the issue was something AHS and its contractor don't fix. The problem wasn't impacting the pool so it was fine. Still, there are a lot of exclusions in their coverage.

    I'm in a rental condo and the refrigerator had a water leak. There was water all the time on the floor from the refrigerator. Majestik Appliance Service fixed it. It seems like it was some clogged pipes underneath because it drains normally, but it doesn’t drain anymore. They did a very good job. We’ve used American Home Shield twice, in January and this last month. Submitting claims is super easy. It just happened that both cases were appliances related. The same vendor took care of them.     I have been with AHS for a couple of years and we like their service and their professionalism. Recently we have two ceiling fans that need to be fixed. One doesn't work at all and they're supposed to replace it. And the other one, they're supposed to fix the switch on it. They had to come back out and fix it. But AHS said they had to get somebody else to come out and finish doing what they needed to do. They had to purchase a fan and then get the part for the other fan b we haven't heard anything.

    The last time Majestic Appliance Service came out I was told that the issue was the ice maker and that that’s very common for this kind of unit to make this kind of noise. I still don’t believe why it’s common for a machine. When I first moved here three years ago, there was no noise, ever. When they first came out to repair it, that noise initially stopped, but then it started again. To me, a refrigerator should not have it. The truth is there’s only a certain amount of days left before this warranty is up. I definitely don’t wanna pay for somebody to come out a second time for the same reason.

    We’ve had problems with the well and this was the second time. American Home Shield sent out a tech but when he came out, he said it was an electrical problem. It turned out that he was a plumber and not an electrician. And it had to be another contact and another appointment scheduled for somebody else to come out. In this case, the water went out on Thursday night, and when I called in to get an electrician to come, I was told that the electrician wouldn’t come until Monday.

    There were two homes that operate off that well, so there was gonna be two homes without water for four days. And the lady told me to give them about 24 to 48 hours in business days. But by that time, it was the weekend, so it’d be more than that. So, I asked to speak with a supervisor and she said that it was an emergency. So, they got somebody out. He was able to come on Saturday and get it fixed. But if I hadn’t asked to go up the chain of command, those homes would have been without water from Thursday to sometime in Monday. Somebody should know about emergency cases.

    Also, if you happen to go down in a well, you don't wanna have to be doing that too much. And the well has this great big heavy concrete slab that’s on the top of it, so they were able to get that off because they went down. There’s a breaker in there and they went down to try to flip it first just to see if it was there. But it was actually the breaker on the pole that was the problem, so they had to take that off. And they just left it off. But if it had been for the whole weekend, they would have had to put it back. So, if the plumber they sent was also able to do electrical work.

    Other than that, I’ve always been pleased with working with AHS. When I bought my house in Greencastle, I got it. And when we bought the house in Hedgesville, we chose the contract with them and we’ve always been happy with it. The peace of mind is worth it for me, especially in the early days. It’s like if your money’s tight and your refrigerator goes, where would you find $1000, $1200 to buy a new refrigerator?

    I was having issues with my dishwasher. I called American Home Shield and their rep was fine. Sears was our designated contractor and three weeks ago, someone from there came out. I felt good with this last contractor. He explained things to me and I was very comfortable with him. I saw him replace something and put a brand-new part on it. The detergent and rinse, where you put that at in the door, is not working. But my dishwasher is still acting up and this started on Sunday.

    Having a home warranty is very important. We're in the military and we move. I moved from Augusta, Georgia to here. I've had American Home Shield for at least 15 years and not in the same town. Lately, I haven’t been comfortable with them at all and I was thinking about changing. I even have the information to change before they gave me Sears to come out. Sears would never come out when they say they would. And they keep calling saying they were gonna call me. This time when Sears came out, it took me three weeks to get a heating element for my dryer and I was very upset because that calls for going to a washer-dryer. The first time, I went to my sister’s house but I wasn’t gonna overdo my welcome. The last couple of times before Sears came out, was not a good time for me. If you say you're gonna do something, I expect you to do it.

    I kept calling back and my daughter called as well. She said, "What are you gonna do about this? My mother’s 70 years old and she’s been taking them to the dryer, and she’s been waiting over three weeks.” I was told I was gonna be given half off but that never happened. If I’m unsatisfied with something, I let it go and not say anything. They have more out there to choose from. I’ve called American Home Shield and told them. They acted like they took it down and they were gonna do something. But nothing ever happened.

    I had a light that was out over in the dining area. It was one of the dimmer lights and it had been crackling for a while, so the electrician from #1 R & R Electrical Allstar came out and took that one off. He told me that the dimmer was bad. He reconnected it, and then he put in a new upgraded type dimmer. So, I was pleased with that. He made the fix the day he came out. He changed everything out, and I have been fine. I’m a schoolteacher, so I have been working from home. And that particular light was the main light that I needed. It has been a blessing since that has been back on.

    I, however, was a little concerned because I have a girlfriend who talked me into getting a policy and she told me that her on-call is only $75, but it seems that mine is $100 -- I thought I would be paying the same thing she paid. That part threw me off and caused me to wait a day or two to do it, speak to her and confirm with her how much she paid compared to what I paid. They should be consistent. But, the process over the computer was easy. I’ve also already told a couple of family members about my policy.

He called them and he was directed to call Rick’s Heating and Air. They scheduled it and then contractor was there. The guy had to replace something, and, from what I heard, the repair was quick.     We had a leak in the shower. We had requested somebody that knew the specific manufacturer of our showerheads, figuring in the past and just by experience that sometimes, people show up then they say they really didn't know those things. And that was what happened so we asked for somebody that knew the equipment. American Home Shield said they were sending somebody out. That was very timely.

    The tech from a previous company, before Nutex Mechanical, was extremely nice but he said we needed to find somebody that knew this equipment. We did round two. American Home Shield quickly got somebody else out so that wasn’t a problem. But, again, the guy goes, “No, we really don’t work on these.” He got it done though although it took him an extra period of time.

    The service could have been knocked out in one trip. Instead, it took three. There is a cost to American Home Shield and to my sanity. There's also the cost for those businesses having to come out. They knew from taking pictures what was wrong. But everybody has to make their own assessment from their own company so I get that. I’m reasonable. The showerheads we had were old and they were like jets. I went out to Home Depot and did it myself. The tech fixed what was behind the wall because I didn’t wanna touch it. I think those were covered. I sent Home Shield a note but they never responded. I’m just moving on. There are other important things to do.

    We bought this property in 2014 and we've had American Home Shield on it since the summer of 2014. We also had the home warranty for the previous properties that we had. Sometimes, the problem the home warranty has is that a lot of the people that partner with them are partnered with them to generate and cultivate a churn business. The techs are never happy to come out because they are paid a limit so they look for opportunities. To me, that is a concern overall because you could have a mechanic that turns your brake job into a brake replacement versus just brake pads. My concern is monitoring that. I don’t know how American Home Shield does that. I've reported my concern to them.

    Otherwise, I’ve had good experiences with the techs although I’ve also had some very bad experiences with people that have come out and some have just plain said things like, “We’re only doing this because we hope you call us next time you actually need work done.” That experience is not good for them and it’s not good for anybody that has the warranty. Unfortunately, I’ve had so many different properties. You can kinda see and smell things. I’m not a technical person but you kinda get a feel for stuff like that. But the last couple of people that came out were extremely professional and nice.

    As far as American Home Shield, they are more processing or transactional. If I call you them, they just wanna know it’s a shower, “Okay, fine,” then click. This is as opposed to, “My shower’s a Kohler system. I need somebody that’s familiar with Kohler, the product.” I did that and it didn’t happen. I just got the first person. I shouldn’t have to do anything more than what I did. I then had to spend time explaining, “This is Kohler. This is what’s happening,” to two different techs in two different companies. That’s the thing. If it's an air conditioner, they should wanna know the type of air conditioner, if it’s within the unit in the attic or outside, and more specifics.

    In this case with our shower, it got done and it works great. The head that I bought and put on is perfectly fine. The technicians were wonderful as far as people and very professional and communicative. But it should have been one person. And they also had to order the parts because they didn't really work with Kohler in their warehouse so they had to order directly from Kohler. That could have been done before those companies came in and out. But I know they have to come out and assess and not take my word for it. I don’t know what my other option is. In some cases, I just pay out-of-pocket directly to a company because I found a company that I love but they are not aligned with American Home Shield.

    American Home Shield has helped us when we called, emailed, and submitted orders. They’ve gotten people out here. But we want good people to come out and not look for other opportunities and say we really need to change something. For example, I had an air conditioner leak and I had this happen before at other homes. I know that contractors can weld in certain spots and it’s a fix then they put new coolant in. A lot of times, they’ll just first start trying to sell you on a new air conditioner. Instead of a couple of hundred dollars fix, it’s a $15,000 sales pitch. I’m used to that and I get why they’re doing it.

    But I just need it fixed. I’m not in the market to buy a new $15,000 air conditioning unit when it doesn’t need to be replaced. That’s the biggest culture problem. But as far as transactionally getting somebody out here quickly that's aligned to American Home Shield, they hit me for a hundred bucks and the people are out here. That happens like lightning speed so that’s good.

    I tried to talk to American Home Shield when I get a live person but on the other end of the phone, they are just razer-focused to do the quickest cost-effective transactional point A to point B. They’re not gonna call somebody to ask if they have experience with Kohler systems. I wish it was different. I don’t think I can get that from any other company either though. I’ve had other people that had other home warranty companies that weren’t happy at all.

    It’s kinda like going to an attorney. No one’s every happy even if you win. I understand they’ve done some great things for us in the sense that if something was majorly damaged and it was covered under warranty, then that’s the blessing that you’re paying every month for. That’s what you have that type of insurance for. In those cases, the home warranty works fine. But if another company comes along that you don’t have to do those things, I would love to hear it. They would probably have great success in the market.

    There was a light in my closet and an outlet in the downstairs bathroom that weren't working. I called AHS to submit a claim. The contractor was fine but trying to reach them was a little difficult. But I was able to get the owner on the phone and then the person that came out was very professional. When I called, I asked them about social distancing and PPE, and he advised me that their contractors come in with masks and gloves and also feet covering. AHS has been awesome so far.     American Home Shield could be more transparent in what’s covered before we pay the $75. I had a situation to where I paid that but the plumber couldn’t fix the problem. To be able to do so, it didn’t fall under the warranty. I was out $75 bucks. But other than that, I’m glad I have AHS. I’m just living in this house now going three years and they're amazing with a number of things. Gilmore’s Home Solutions came out for a heating element in my dryer. I paid the $75 required for service, they came out and fixed it. The dryer is a very simple machine. You just basically got a belt and a heating element. They asked for the model number so that they could come prepared. The tech had a heating element, and that was it. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

    The garage door people that we had to use were out of Leawood, which is two and a half hours away. They took a long time to get to us, and then they didn't fix the issue right and had to come back. But they only come out here every so often. We didn't wanna wait. We have garage door people here so we got somebody here to do some of the work. They fixed it and it has been fixed ever since. We had to call into AHS and do it in a different way. We had to pay for the repair and then submit the claim. The contractor from Part-timer called us right away, but we had to wait a couple of days before he came and took care of everything. He seemed nice. We have two different properties that we have AHS on. I told my sister that she should also have AHS.

    My mom has used American Home Shield and she had a lot of positive experiences. So, she recommended it to us. When I have a claim, I submit it online and the process has been easy. So far, everybody that they sent out had been very nice and recently, they sent out Greenway Home Services for my refrigerator and my dishwasher. They replaced my refrigerator but I’m still waiting for them to fix my dishwasher. They had to order parts and they came back, then they had to order another part. So now, I’m waiting. I also wish Greenway could make their appointments a little closer and not so far in advance because they’re two weeks out. But that’s probably normal and I’m just impatient. We had to empty the freezer and he finished off quickly -- the repair was done within an hour. We opened the back and he was in and out through the back door.     The kitchen sink stops up, and then it unloads into the bathtub. The guy from Triple S Plumbing was delightful. He was wearing his mask and explained things so nicely. He gave me some tips on what to do to prevent problems, and I thought that was really above and beyond the call. Usually, they just come out and do the job and leave.

    We've had AHS for about five years and we use them mostly for the plumbing, and they have been good when I request a certain contractor. I was unhappy about the air conditioning problem, but it’s business, and I’m not gonna emotionalize it. I know there are other companies that I can choose, but I select American Home Shield.

    I like to get my house sprayed a couple times a year. I was looking on the website and I saw that AHS offered a $75 spray. So I called them and Terminix did a good job. I had a few ants around the yard and the techs were pretty good. As last time, they have with them two termite baits for me because they noticed I didn’t have a termite guard.     My dishwasher appeared to have a leak one time and I submitted a claim online to American Home Shield. They sent Sears to service my request and the tech who came did a good job. He took the bottom piece of the dishwasher off and looked underneath to make sure there were no leaks. The dishwasher had overflowed because of the soap buildup inside the tub. He gave me good advice on how to keep the soap from building up in the dishwasher. I have always rinsed dishes off and he told me not to do that. I'm glad I have my AHS warranty.

    My dishwasher would not drain and then it would not clean the top portion of my dishes. I called American Home Shield and Frix Appliance Repair came really quickly.     We've been satisfied with American Home Shield. I really like being able to go online and submit claims, and not having to call and be on hold. It seems quicker. The plumbers, electricians and all the people that responded had been very nice and they followed up pretty quickly. Generally, their contractors are local and I usually never have to wait that long except when they have to order a part.

    We had a plumber from Lake Plumbing came out and fixed our problem. Then our central vac went out and we had Jaeger Electric. Their tech said he had to order the part. Then I got the impression that American Home Shield thought the order was complete because of a text I got from them, but it wasn't completed yet. I've been trying to communicate with the tech and we're still waiting for him to come back and replace the motor. I was told that the part was supposed was come on Monday which was a holiday. I just sent the tech an email again and asked him what was going on.

    Initially when we turned our stove on, it would come on for a minute, and then it would shut off. And then occasionally, it would come on, and there would just be no heat. So, it’s like it wasn’t warming up at first. It should not have done that with the gauge we had it on. The first gentleman came out, he tested it, and he said he thought the ignition was going out. They replaced the igniter within two days. We used it over the weekend and the stove wouldn’t turn on. It did work when the first gentleman came out and did the igniter. He turned it on, it lit up, he made it go up to the temperature gauge, and it was fine. I said, “Okay, great. We’re in business.” But after that, my daughter went to use it, she turned it on and it made the noise and it shut off.

    She turned it on again, and it just made this funky noise and it would shut off. So, I called right back. This was within a span of just a couple of days. It wasn’t even a week that the first guy had come out. When I called, the other gentleman came out, and he checked it. He said he thought it was something with the computer. So, he came out and did whatever he needed to do. We’ve used it three times since, and it seemed to be fine. So, what this guy did the last time corrected the problem. The stove warmed up to the temperature that it was supposed to go up to. The guys that came out were super professional. They were very timely. I have had claims in the past that I thought was kinda silly. This time, I was 100% pleased with American Home Shield. Even in the pandemic and with the short staff, I really thought the overall experience was pretty good.

    It didn't seem like I was getting enough air in my living room because the vents were smaller and the guy who came bent the vent so the air would aim a different way. There wasn't really anything he could do unless he could put a bigger square where the air comes out, but he did the best he could with what I had. American Home Shield also fixed my electricity when my lights went out. The guy who came was super smart, very polite, nice, and knowledgeable. He came out and boom, boom, boom. He went room by room. He got the breakers and checked each outlet until he found the loose wire. It was really something how he did that. He knew to go to where the beginning of the problem was.

    When the new wires were put in, the people didn't tighten out the wire and it got loose. And when it got loose, something in that wiring came up, which knocked off the electricity in the two bathrooms, 1 bedroom and part of the kitchen. When he found that one wire, boom, everything came right back on. It didn't take him that long. Anybody else, it would have been an all-day job. I'm super happy with AHS. I didn't mind the $75 payment. I thought it was gonna be $70 a room, but it was $75 for the whole house.

    After making a claim for a plumbing issue, American Home Shield sent out Tom Melton Plumbing. The scheduling was really quick but I didn't like the range. They gave a 12-hour window when the tech would be here. Thankfully, I'm laid off right now. They told me that the tech would call me 15 minutes before he was here, which he did, and that was fine. If I needed to go anywhere, I could take off and not have to worry about it. The guy fixed the leak I had on my sink and he also replaced something. I felt fine about him. He resolved the issue in under an hour. Since the repair, I haven't noticed any other issues.

    This is my first home purchase and having the home warranty is kinda paying off because my HVAC unit is not cooling properly. I just set up an appointment for an HVAC guy to come out. Also, once I started doing repairs around here it was like the previous home owners were idiots. Every new homeowner may think that. They had the hoses of the washer backwards. I did about two or three loads and I notice that the water coming out of there was warm which was stupid. It's not supposed to be hot when it's cold. For the first year, a home warranty would be a good idea. American Home Shield should keep up the good work.

    I was dissatisfied with the lack of professionalism of the repairmen, the untrained and lack of knowledge of some of the repair service technicians. Overall, I found the manner of service the company often used led to a decision of not covering a repair to a covered item. Often times, it appeared, the technicians diagnoses a problem in such a manner, it led to the conclusion that resulted in covered items, not being repaired. This practice, to me renders the policy as a useless expense. I experienced four separate cases for either a repair job was blotched or the jobs were rendered as a non-covered repair even though the items were covered items. Saved your money or find a better company!! I cancelled my policy several months prior to expiration date.

    I am very dissatisfied with this company. We put in a claim for our air conditioner over a month ago and we have not had any progress on our claim despite calling to follow up almost every day. They keep giving us the run around. About 2 weeks after filing our claim a contractor finally came out to look at our AC and told us it needed to be replaced. He submitted the necessary paperwork to AHS but we never heard anything back. Finally, after calling to follow up several times we were told they needed a second opinion. It has now been a over a month and despite our continuous calls a second contractor has not even contacted us to make an appointment. We are promised follow up calls from AHS agents but no one ever calls us back. I am extremely frustrated and do not recommend anyone use this company.

    After spending 12 hours on the phone trying to get ahold of customer service after dealing with the automated system hanging up on me after it would put me on hold for 15 minutes was ridiculous. It did the 12 times. Finally after dialing from two different telephones I got into customer service to set up for an appointment. If my automated system operated this way I would be firing everyone in my IT Department and finding someone that was more qualified to fix the problem. Other than that service of a human was satisfactory. My rating is for the poor phone system not for the customer service person.

    Updated on 09/22/2020: Over a month ago I submitted a claim for my pool pump. It took a couple weeks before a contractor was assigned. I received a call stating that they simply couldn’t find anyone so I was offered to find someone myself and they would reimburse me. Well I declined because I had a problem getting reimbursement from another call prior to this one so they set a vendor to come a week later. Vendor shows up. He changes the pool pump. Replaces the timer. Still having the same problem. He calls me out to show me the work he’s done and I say it’s still doing the same thing. So it wasn’t fixed. He was very unpleasant telling me this is why he never takes out of town jobs and he definitely won’t take another one. Well he left with nothing fixed. I still had the same problem. He told me and American Home Shield that it was something underground and said I need to call American Leak Detection and I did because he said I had a blockage.

    Well I called American leak detection and they came out 2 days later. They found nothing wrong with my underground plumbing. Had to pay them 370 for nothing. Called the contractor back. Told him what they said so he desired to have their number so he can call them because I guess he didn’t believe me. Well I call American Home Shield. They opted to send someone for a second opinion. Well it’s been 2 more weeks and they assigned another contractor.

    I called for an appointment and the contractor said he doesn’t come to my area so he cancelled the assignment. Called American Home Shield back. They had no idea why he canceled the job so they said they would call me back in 24 hours. Well it’s been 4 days. I get a call yesterday saying they decline a second opinion. I explained that the contractor they sent said it was underground and I had American leak detection say it wasn’t and I had papers to prove it so she says they will speak to supervisor and call me back. It’s never gonna get resolved and I’m over it.

    Original review: First time I called they got an AC tech. Took two weeks for them to replace my unit. Two weeks ago I had a leak in my pool. Took 3 weeks and they couldn’t find anyone to come out. I had to call someone myself and still waiting for my reimbursement. So I’m paying for something they don’t even offer.

    High Priority Plumbing and Services came out to fix my hot water heater. The tech was top-of-the-line, very professional, and knowledgeable. He told me right away what was wrong. I thought I needed a new hot water heater, but I did not. So, he drained it and put a new heating element on it. Now, whoever will take a shower will get a hot shower. Submitting the claim to American Home Shield was very easy.     American Home Shield's plan had the best coverage for air conditioning and heating, which down here in Oklahoma is always a problem because it's so hot. AHS paid the most. A couple of the other companies had a lot of limitations on AC. That is the biggest problem down here. Overall, AHS has been a really good value. My AC had to be serviced and checked out because I was selling the house and the inspector thought it was not cooling 100%. I did a claim for it online and it was fine. My given contractor for this was A-US Air Conditioning of Texas and their guy was perfect. He took precautions for the Coronavirus. He had booties for his shoes, had a mask, and had sanitizer. He took all the normal stuff. It took him half an hour to do the service. He checked it all like the pressure settings then he added a pound of coolant. It was pretty easy.

    We had two service requests with American Home Shield. The second request for my AC was phenomenal. The first request was a horrible experience. I had a leak. The specific issue I was having was there was no cold air coming out of my AC unit. So, I went and made sure what I could do. In a sense of not knowing much about it and knowing that I gotta change my filters consistently, I changed my filters thinking that would solve the problem. It did not. That was when I put the claim in with American Home Shield stating, “There was no cold air coming out.”

    They sent a technician out from the first company. He was very rude. As he walked towards my home, I can sense rudeness coming off of the gentlemen. He didn't say hi, and simple things like closing the door behind him was a problem. It was not a good experience. I do not wanna work with that company again. That was probably the worst experience I had with American Home Shield with a subcontractor. That gentleman, for me, spoke for the whole company.

    I had rodents in my attic. So, the first gentleman said, “I can’t work up there because you have rodent droppings.” I said, “Okay. I get that. I’ll get that cleaned up. I thought the company that I had go up there to mitigate that issue, in a sense, closing up spots, making sure there was no rodents up there, etcetera, etcetera, did that as well, so my apologies. I’ll take care of that.” He said, “Well, I can’t move forward on tracing the leak for your AC unit that is completed.” So, I said, “Understood. I mean, if there's legalities you gotta follow, understood. But could you put the fire out, in a sense of you know I have a leak, and should you put Freon in there and I’ll pay the difference? I know Home Shield only covers a certain amount, but at least I’m up and working until I can get that done.” And he said, “Nope. I gotta put the claim in with American Home Shield. I can’t move forward until that gets done.”

    I just felt like I wasn’t getting 100% of that company’s service. It was really quick. It was on a weekend. I followed up with American Home Shield, requested, and then I spoke to a young lady. She wasn’t too receptive because I’m pretty sure she heard a lot of problems happening. But after I gave her the synopsis of the issue, they understood. They sent out another contractor.

    That contractor was phenomenal. They came. They said, “What did the other person do, the other company do?” I said, “Well, not really anything. They said they didn't wanna do anything in the attic and trace the leak because whatever issue, I had rodent droppings.” He said, “Well, I get that. You should get that fixed. But the leak is right outside.” He showed me the leak and he mitigated it, and he was out in 40 minutes. Everything has been great.

    I also asked that gentleman, “What's next? In a sense of stated that you didn't find the leak and it leaks out again, I spent $400 out of my pocket for the Freon.” He said, “You have a two-month warranty with us.” It’s been three weeks, and everything’s working great. Before the repair, it was uncomfortable. I have a wall unit. It’s an evaporator cooler. So, I went out there and got that working for the time being. It was hot. I had opened up windows. I have children, so we did our best. I’m super grateful that everything’s working now. I have a family of three, my wife and my two kids. They're absolutely comfortable now.

    A lot of times, I submit tickets online. If I need to, I’d call it in, but I’ve been able to do it online easy. It's all simple. The contractors have been good too. In general, we’ve had a couple of plumbing issues then we had this air conditioning issue that came up then. We found out that the thermostat that we have in the house here wasn’t right.     There was a big noise on the compressor part of the AC. The tech from Anthem Mechanical said that the compressor was starting to go out and it could go out like tomorrow or it could go out in a year. So, he checked it and said, “Everything is good there.” And then inside, that was where the filter was at, and it was like sucking more than it used to. He also said that everything sounded good right here. He peeked his head up on to the top and looked, and said, “No. There's no noise up there. Everything looks good.”

    He was a nice and polite gentleman, and he told me everything I needed to do. He also told me about the company and about American Home Shield because I wasn’t too sure how you the warranty company worked. He said that AHS is very good, too. There is a noise that is still in the back where our window is at for our bedroom, but he said, “It’s still going good.” Until it goes out, they cannot do more than that. But, everything else was perfect. I have also talked to my wife and we decided that we are going to keep AHS.

    I'm familiar with Home Shield, but when I first had them, my house was new. I became disabled and I just couldn’t afford it, so I came back. I called because the AC was making up a noise. A-US Air Conditioning came out, then tech said the unit was low on freon. He just put some freon in it and that was it. I didn’t like that I had to pay for the freon. Home Shield just paid $10 a pound, which is what he said, and I didn’t know that. I didn’t know that I had to pay out-of-pocket. What's the use of having Home Shield?

    When he went up in the attic and looked at the unit, he said that it was about time for a upgrade. He was real thorough in talking about the upgrade and he was fine. He said he was going to come back and put some Stop Leak in it because last year, I put Freon in there twice and there was something that was definitely going on and I hoped it won't go out on me. The unit is 20 years old. American Home Shield just needs to communicate more about what's what. When I called in to do the report, I should have been told that, “You know, you're gonna have to pay for blah, blah, blah.” But other than that, I would recommend them.

    Our ice maker was broken. We submitted a claim and Appliance Wizard, one of American Home Shield's contractors, came. The tech was great but he couldn't do anything. Appliance Wizard had to order a part that they were gonna try to get. That's the third guy who has been out for us. While he was very nice, it's frustrating. In the couple of years we've had AHS, they've usually been very responsive. Still, we'd like to get the part needed out and get our problem fixed.

    I tell everybody that having a warranty is very important. My brother and mother have AHS and I've had the same warranty provider for 2 or 3 years now. I’m pretty satisfied with them. Our recent claim went well. I put in the order late on a Friday and the company called me Monday morning to confirm an appointment. The guy was knowledgeable and he knew exactly what he was doing. He showed up on time and left 30 minutes to an hour after he showed up with the problem solved. The washer had a switch that recognized when the lid is closed. That switch had gone bad. I had to temporarily fix it, but he came out, put in a new switch, and told me the issues with the washer that I might see in the future. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and skilled. I’ve had other things go on the house and submitting a claim with AHS is always easy. Just do it online and you don’t have to talk to anybody. Then someone comes up to fix the issue.

    We have AHS in Florida, but we were so happy with the results when we needed it that we also signed up with them in Pennsylvania where our regular home was. Our toilet was constantly running and the water was not shutting off. We were afraid it was gonna up the water bill at the condo. The gentleman came and took care of the problem.     I called American Home Shield for my air conditioner to be fixed. The guy for the AC came out, and he said, “Oh, this is not the unit. Somehow, your electrical box is not turning on the AC. So, you’re gonna need an electrician, not me.” So, then American Home Shield sent out the electrician. I was getting off work and when I met him at my house, he had already been at the box. I went over to the box, and he said, “Oh, somehow this is not connecting. It’s not making a good contact.” When I asked what I needed to do, he said he was gonna move it to another spot. He unplugged it, moved it to a different location that was inside of the box, plugged it in, and it came on. But I had got a letter from American Home Shield saying that one of the cogs was broken, and that they didn’t cover that.

    American Home Shield left a voicemail, and I called them and I said, “Well, I don’t know what you’re talking about ‘cause he just moved it to another spot. He never said anything to me about that I had to call in and get authorization or anything.” The rep I spoke to said the tech called them and I said, “Well, he must’ve called you when he left because he didn’t call with me standing there. He just moved it to another spot, and that was it.” She said, “Oh, well, it’s working?” I told her everything’s fine. The air is on. She said, “Oh, well, then don’t worry about it. I thought that it wasn’t fixed and that you had to do something else.”

    The guy that came out was really nice. I was surprised that it went so well and so quick. The only problem that I had is I had asked for a call when they were on their way because I only live maybe 15 minutes away from my job. I wanted them to let me know they were on their way because then I could meet them there. My daughter was home, and she called me and said the guy was in our home. I said, “Well, I don’t want them.” I don’t like for people to be on the property before I get there. Other than that, the guy didn’t give me any hassle. He didn’t seem like too distraught over the situation. American Home Shield is pretty good. I don’t like how long it takes to get appointments sometimes, but it works. I’m a single homeowner, so for me, the cost of repairs can sometimes be very large. For that purpose, they’re good.

    When I was having a problem with my washing machine, SG came out this past Saturday to take a look at it. It turned out that there were several things wrong with it. The tech put in all the parts that would need to be repaired. Some of them were the motor, control panel, rotor, and two other things.     Submitting a claim to AHS has been very easy. If we do it early in the week, we normally get seen that week. But if it’s only something that happens on like Friday or Saturday, then it’s normally five days after that. They are very easy to engage with. The contractors have all been really professional as well. We submitted a claim for our dishwasher door that came off. It was leaking. The first contractor came out, recommended that the whole unit be replaced. American Home Shield said that was due to us being too rough with the machine that the door came loose, but they would send out somebody else to look at it. The person that came out the second time was able to fix the door. So, it was good and they were helpful. Recently, we had a stoppage in one of our sinks. The contractors made a fix when they came out.

    I was having electrical issues and I thought it was on PG&E's end, so I called PG&E out because half of my house had shut off. I'm a contractor myself so I knew something was up in the panel or on PG&E's side. I was able to get PG&E out there on a Sunday and they checked. The guy said it was my main breaker. He advised that the safest way to do that is to pull the meter, buy the new this and that and I was already looking for parts. I was going to take a day off and do it the next day, but when they were done, I thought to check if my Home Shield covered it. I know they cover electrical but it just said electrical. Making an order is hard too. Calling them on a Sunday, I couldn't get ahold of anybody. Doing it online, it's very vague on what they cover.

    I remember it said that once I booked the appointment, then they would come out and there's a service charge. That's the main thing that was hard to understand. I didn't want to put a claim in then get charged $100 if I didn't need the service. I was leery but I put the claim in and then when they recommended North Coast Group, I called their office and made sure. I told the gal what was wrong. If it was not covered under insurance, then I didn't need them to come out and tell me what PG&E already told me. She said that as long as we didn't do anything, like going in there and tearing things up, it should be covered. North Coast came out that day and it took the guy 20 minutes and he was gone. It was quick and very professional. It worked out great.

    Being able to have them come out and get it resolved fast made me very happy. With the family having to be home during this pandemic, it was nice to be able to get everything back up and running. What was happening was that that breaker was bad so it was arcing inside the panel which could have caused an electrical fire. It could have fried all of my electrical inside the house (my TVs and my AC and all that stuff) and I would have had a bigger claim. Also, the first time I used American Home Shield was when I joined. The month I had to wait came up and that next week, my microwave went out. I used it right away and I was happy with that as well.

    The guy from A-US Air Conditioning came out and He gave the unit a very nicely detailed look. I was quite happy. He told me what my options were and in the end, we added some refrigerant, which was something that I requested even though it wasn’t fully covered by Home Shield. The prior guy I had come out told me I needed a new unit, but he was lying. He wanted to sell me a new unit when I just needed a small recharge and that was optional too. It had nothing to do with Home Shield though. Also, everything about the A-US guy was on the up-and-up and my experience was excellent. I even signed on for the next year right after that.

    I've had Home Shield on and off for 15 years on a number of different houses and I will continue. I can make one phone call and get somebody to come in for a fixed price and take a look at my unit. The other thing I like, especially for major appliances, is that the Home Shield person is almost never trying to pretend I need a whole brand new unit. Because Home Shield itself doesn’t really enjoy it if every time they stop at a home, they do a $10,000 item. So, it worked out well for me.

    We’ve been in this house for two years and we’ve had American Home Shield since we moved here. Prior to that, we lived in North Carolina for five years and we had them there for four years. I handle the claims online so it's super easy. Years ago, it was always having to wait on the phone so the online stuff works well. We haven't had any issues with them. We had a plug issue and when I put the claim in to American Home Shield, they got back to us the same day. The company called us the next day to reschedule and they were able to come out right away. The gentleman fixed everything, and it was quick and easy.

    We’ve had other claims and they were smooth. But we had an incident about a year ago when the service was not quick. It took two days. The shutoff valve on our toilet broke and the toilet was leaking down to our living room. We had to shut off the main water in our house and that was very aggravating.     My place has been a plumbing nightmare. The most recent claim was a pipe in my laundry room that’s underneath the sink. We discovered, at night time, it was leaking. The tech from Rescue Your Air came a few days later the following week and by that time, we were able to stop it with the shutoff valve. The tech ran water and it didn’t leak. He just did some adjustments and tightened the fitting on that rubber crappy pipe that they use nowadays. Then we had a toilet flush handle that was broken and he replaced it. As I look at it now, it’s pure white, where my toilet is more off-white. I’m not freaking out about it because the toilet flushes and it’s fixed. But in hindsight, it wasn’t the right color.

    We've had Rescue Your Air come out for HVAC repairs several times and they’ve been pretty good in that regard. The plumbing is new and they have one person they're sending out, but I'm not real crazy about them. It was the same guy that came out the last time. But he did do what needed to be done. So that was okay. When we had a leak in the wall behind our washing machine one other prior time, he came out and one was leaking. My husband was standing right behind him and asked, “What about this leak here a little bit further?” It was like a pinhole leak in the pipe in two spots. So he fixed it. Right after he left that night, it started to leak again. It was a pinhole leak. My husband figured out a way to shut off water so we wouldn’t drown the laundry room over that night and then, the tech came the very next morning and fixed the hole.

    For my most recent plumbing claim, Rescue Your Air didn't come out right away. I have called and had people sent out right away when we had a pipe in the wall that was running and we couldn’t do anything with it, was gonna destroy the home. There was another vendor that lived in Jonesboro that came to fix things and they were able to come out at 9:00 at night and fix the issue. Overall, I'm pretty happy with my experience. Some vendors, I like better than others.

    Being able to submit the claim online is good because sometimes, some of the reps are better than others to understand. I speak a couple foreign languages, so I’m not trying to be picky. When I filed a claim online for the leak in the laundry room, I forgot to add the toilet handle. But there was no way to go back in and revise the claim and add in the other item. So I had to call and sit on hold forever to get a customer service person to add that on. So they could improve their website by adding the ability to adjust the claim and also being able to send emails or some kind of other method other than hanging on hold forever, which would be good to be able to send an electronic message to customer service.

    The AC was not cooling the upstairs. I submitted a claim online with AHS and it was relatively painless. Then, Cote's Mechanical came out on the same day and fixed it. But the AC stopped working after three days and I gave American Home Shield a call so I wouldn’t have to pay the service fee again since it stopped working so soon after we had paid for its repair the first time.

    The same contractor came out the next day and they were great. The only thing that was a little disappointing was that when I called, they weren’t able to come out the same day since the air conditioner stopped working a few days after they had come out the first time, and it was one of the hottest days of the year. But I understood that they had a day of appointments already booked. And the guy who came out was professional and really nice. He wore a mask along with all the COVID stuff, so I was really appreciative of that. And so far, everything has been working well since the repair. All in all, AHS did great and I would recommend them. They’ve handled things really well. I've only had to use them for this one experience, but it was easy and I was really glad not to have to worry about what that could have cost me with the air conditioner breaking down in the beginning of the Texas heat.

    We were very happy with 2 Morrows Heating and Cooling. They called and said they’d get there a little bit earlier, showed up, and they handled everything great and they split.     There was an issue with the heating element in my dryer. My dryer wasn't doing any heat and it broke down on Friday and the tech was here on Monday. He was very professional. He showed me his ID, came in and took apart the dryer. It took him a couple of minutes. He said the heating element was toasted and he had to order one. He said it was about a week before it would come in. The part came in when he said it would. It was fantastic. I don't have a lot of income and things never break down when you have money. Having the warranty, I don't have to worry and I don't have to wait two weeks until I get a paycheck. I like the convenience.

    Anytime I call Home Shield, I’m satisfied. It was excellent. I was given the name of the company, a number, and when I can expect them, or they would call me. All that took place. All Hours Emergency Plumbing came out and they replaced the garbage disposal. The tech was awesome. He came and did his job, and was professional. Before, the garbage disposal wouldn’t operate. And then, over time, the smell in the garbage disposal itself improved immensely. I’m able to use it and it doesn't have a smell anymore. I also used Home Shield for my pool and the hot water heater, and I’ve just been satisfied. And any time I call, they are right on time. I’ve been with them for a few years, so everyone I come in contact with, I tell them they need to look into it. You need to sign up for it.

One of the burners went up on my stove, my microwave needed a sensor because it wouldn’t go past 30 seconds, and my ice machine wasn’t working. Richard’s Appliance was pretty good with the text message. And then somebody called and asked if I was available when they did the appointment, and that was it.     My air conditioner had a one-time issue where at nighttime, we had the air on that when I turned it off, it would go to a heating upcycle because it wants to just regulate the temperature that’s up in the AC unit. It never shut off. The heating element stayed on and it kept blowing hot air into the house. The house got to 86 degrees until I went up there and pulled the fuse. And then I submitted in a ticket to Home Shield and R & K Heating & Cooling came out within two days. The guy came out, troubleshot everything that he could, and looked at everything but said “Everything's working fine, sir, I can't duplicate the issue." And then he said, "Here's what we'll do. I'll leave this ticket open for like a week or two. And if it acts up again, you don't have to do anything. Just call. I'll come right back out. But don't touch it. Just leave it be so I can find out what it's doing." And I said, "Okay, no problem." And the AC has been working great ever since.

    We've owned this house for about nine years now, and when things happen, it's always at the worst possible time where it could be like, "I cannot really be affording to pay for a new refrigerator right now." Whereas with Home Shield, I pay $100 and they send out a technician. And if he couldn't fix it, then they would replace it. I would gladly pay $50 a month with a $100 call out fee any day.

    Everything was fine with my food disposal claim. I submitted the claim and it was pretty simple to do. Then the technician was in and out of here in about an hour. It was perfect. He did a good job. The service call itself was 100. But the food disposal that they brought out was plastic and it was under what the value of my old one was. The technician said that it was comparable to what he was taking out. My old food disposal was about around $150 and the tech said that the replacement one was about 90 bucks. It has a five-year warranty on it. But he had another one that was all metal that would have had a 10-year warranty and he said it wasn’t terribly more expensive for it. It would have been nice to have that option from American Home Shield to get that one that had a longer warranty, more industrial and would last longer.

    We called American Home Shield and reported what was broken and then the plumbing company called me. When the contractors first came out, one person smelled like alcohol. They were very rude and they didn’t complete the job. They came back out several times and then they told me that they did the best they can do with it and that AHS is not paying them to come back out. The man was very upset. We have a leak coming from that faucet in my kitchen and I just left it alone. The man put a little caulking around there to fix the leak the second time he came back. One of the plumbers stated that they want to keep coming back out putting the cheap pieces on. AHS then sent another plumbing company to fix the toilet and the technician stopped the toilet from running. Also, the technicians who came out to put my hot water tank in were very professional and did a great job.

    I just want to say that American Home Shield has been the worst experience thus far. I don't quite understand why as a consumer that pays a premium each month has to has to go through so much hassle. We recently called in to report a request and I was placed on hold for over an hour and a half just to speak to someone. Then I had to put in a request to have the microwave replaced as the service person said it was unrepairable (more work for me, the consumer). Had to be on hold for another hour. Then we received our replacement microwave and the installers didn't even screw the screw all the way in. Its more than 1/2 way sticking out.

    I wish I could include a picture on here. So here I am again waiting on the hone for another hour and who knows how long to speak to someone about that. I hope we didn't sign a contract because I truly want to cancel my business with American Home Shield and try another company such as Choice Home Warranty. Go to Facebook, you will see all the real reviews on there about how dissatisfied customers are. I wish I had known to check there prior to signing up. The reviews on here are very misleading.

    The thermostat on the oven seemed to have been shorted out and it also caused some flash underneath the glass top of the stove and it cracked. Originally, my experience was kinda weird because American Home Shield sent this company and the guy didn’t speak any English. He just took pictures and left. Then he said it was not due to normal use. But my girls and I were here. I had a pot of chili on the stove on super low then all of a sudden we heard this ‘pop’ and saw a flash. It was no big deal. I’m 51 years old and my family owns three restaurants. I'm pretty sure I know how to take care of things. So I called American Home Shield back. They sent out A Plus Appliance and Matt could not be more thorough.

    He said it was because of the whole short. So the experience was great. Everything is working wonderfully now. During this pandemic, I need to cook. I can’t keep ordering take out because I’m broke. I’m on unpaid leave so I don’t have a bunch of cash lying around. But at one time, American Home Shield also sent out a Russian company to look at my dryer. The guy came out here, took it all apart and said he could repair it but it was not repaired. It still shuts off after 10 minutes. This is crazy. It’s just a dryer. So I would prefer to have A Plus back here. They speak English and actually do stuff.

    My kitchen faucet exploded, it was very old and made of plastic. I called AHS for repair/installation of new one purchased. AHS could not find a person here in town to come and fix problem. They charged me $100 for the call even though they couldn't provide for the service. AHS did call and give me an authorized number to pay for another company to come out and install new faucet. The guy from the other company was two hours away from my home. He didn't do a very good job on the installation, as I found out a few days later!

    I purchased a very nice faucet for over $150.00. I was charged $120 by the other company. Now my faucet is cross-wired with hot and water cold and doesn't turn easily. I emailed the invoice for the installation to AHS on April 21, 2020 and have NOT heard about the status of my refund. I tried to call AHS today, I was on hold for nearly an hour before I hung up. Yes, I am very dissatisfied with AHS at this point! Any assistance with this matter will be appreciated.

    Submitting claims has been pretty easy once you get through. However, since the COVID virus has hit, making a claim has been more difficult because sometimes, the wait times are up to 50 minutes. I’ve tried to go in and do a home internet, but Home Shield's website asks for a mobile phone, which I don’t have. And then, it won’t let me proceed past that screen. So, I always have to call. I have told a couple of agents that that’s my situation, and we have not been able to resolve that. If they could change that thing on their internet, I would appreciate it, so I don’t have that long wait time on the telephone right now. But things will get back to more decent later on.

    The AC froze up during the night over the weekend when the humidity and the temperature got up, and it was waking us up at 2:30 in the morning because it was rattling the whole inside unit. Since we have been using Home Shield since 2008, we do a lot of business with A2Z. I have them come twice a year and just check for maintenance anyway. Sometimes, it’s hard to get the contractor in that you’re familiar with. But other than that, the contractors have been good and professional.

    I had difficulty when I placed the order. I had to speak to the voicemail and I told that I had a problem with the dishwashing garbage disposable unit, but the computer picked up only the dishwasher. The dishwasher company called me and he said he would be coming to see where was the leak from. He came to my house and looked for the dishwasher. I said that I didn’t have it and that I left a message saying it was a dishwashing garbage disposable unit. He said he would not work on that because he was specialized only in dishwashing and he left. I had to call AHS the second time and they dispatched A&B Plumbing & Home Services. They handled the claim well. They came on time and performed the work. The tech was a good person as well.

    The only thing was when he was leaving, he gave my son the bill. I was not at home. I know that I’m not supposed to pay for anything. He did not ask any. But I don’t know what is this bill. I’m not responsible because AHS had debited $100 from my account. I don’t want any more money deducted from there. I might have to talk to the AHS customer service about it.

    They had Max Air out here first for the AC issue. They were out here three times. They wanted to charge me $800. They told me I had a blockage in my line. But I didn't believe that because the unit was working too good. So I told AHS to send somebody else. They sent Greenway because they sent them out to my house to do a plumbing job, and the man knew exactly what to go and do. He took care of that problem. Now, my unit is freezing up. I would highly recommend Greenway to anybody with the home warranty. Max Air put the wrong fan motor and capacitor on my unit, and I did not have a blockage as I thought. So I told AHS to not ever send Max Air out here again.

    When I call AHS to submit a claim, they're on top of it. And with the same problem, they haven’t charged me multiple charges. I appreciate that a lot with everything that’s going on in the world today. They're doing a great job. The only downfall to it that it is right now is hanging and having to wait online, on the phone call, and getting through to them. They could try to improve that. I’ve waited as much as an hour. I didn’t wanna call back and lose my spot. I just put the phone on speakerphone and went on about my business.

    The previous homeowners got American Shield for us and we were really pleased, so we renewed. They have been fabulous. Any time I need service, they get right back to me with the person who’s going to do it and they turn out to be really good. My only problem is it always involves extra money. Like with a water heater repair, they said I had to put another $1,200 of my own money. And then, one time with the furnace, I had to put in a ton of money and again, with the air conditioning problem, I had to put in $1,800.

    They always swear that it's stuff that’s absolutely necessary to do. That happens every single time I have one of their people come out. Some of them say it's code and some of them, like this last one, say that these things would blow again unless I had this piece where they had to take everything apart, put the piece on, and put it back together. But that's the only thing that’s troublesome. The people are competent and they're really careful when they work. They show up when they're supposed to and everything gets done beautifully and quickly. This last one was Pacific Control Service coming out for a heating issue. They checked the unit out and told me what the problem was. They had to order all kinds of parts and it took three visits, but they got the job done.

    The American Home Shield warranty was existing on the house when we purchased it. We just kept it for the first year and used it several times that year. We were really happy with it so we just kept the coverage. Our heat pump was broken. It was hot and the repair needed to happen. Platinum Heating & Air's tech replaced the two fuses and it was still not cooling so he added a pound of Freon to the unit and they fixed it. We paid our portion of it and some of it was covered by American Home Shield.

    I submitted the claim through the AHS website. It’s a lot easier. It used to be a pain to submit a claim several years ago. I've always been given a couple of days to expect contractors. Platinum Heating & Air was great. They called within a reasonable amount of time and were very friendly and polite when I called them. We’ve always been really satisfied with the coverage and we really have been happy with the service of AHS.

    Our air conditioning stopped producing cold air. After opening a service request with American Home Shield, Hansen Mechanical came out and they were super professional. I explained the problem to them. They pretty much knew right away that it was probably a Freon leak. The guy definitely knew exactly what he was talking about and he explained everything in a way that I understood it. They went out and checked our Freon. They found that we were low on it so they recommended doing like a seal then giving us more Freon. We went with that. Once they did that, my AC was up and running within an hour and it has been working great ever since.

    Freon has been discontinued by the US government. They're not allowing it to be made anymore. But we had some leaks and A-US Air Conditioning came out and gave us an outrageous price for getting the AC fixed. It was $700 to $800. I pay a monthly price for American Home Shield to fix things when things break. They need to pay for it and not expect me to pay $700 or $800. So, we didn't move forward with any of it. I usually submit claims by phone and it's a little bit complicated and time-consuming. But for the most part, their reps and contractors have been good.

    We had National Platinum Service come out four times to fix our dishwasher then they finally said that they couldn't fix it. But we had a KitchenAid and the option that AHS gave us was a GE. KitchenAid is a lot better than GE. I was gonna call AHS today and ask if we could get a KitchenAid. But I don’t wanna be on hold for an hour and a half to talk to their people. I've considered the buyout option but it is not working. But I’ve got to go buy my own KitchenAid that’s worth paying 300 extra instead of an hour and a half every day on hold.

    The contractors sent out by American Home Shield showed up on time. They’ve been good and very polite. It was the customer service from American Home Shield that I had the problem with. When you call, you talk to three different people and they take the same information three times. I told them that I didn't wanna wait in those 30 minutes and they said that they'd get me right in. Then 30-something minutes later, I was still waiting. It was getting to the point where I'd be ready to drop AHS and go to somebody else.

    It's fairly easy to submit claims. I don't ever call and I just do the online one, and it has been easy to use. The only complaint I have is just the fact that before the virus, it took up to two weeks to get somebody out. And when you don't have an AC or a hot water heater or something like that, that's a long time to go. They have make sure that it doesn't take two weeks to get somebody out again. But other than that, I like knowing that if something goes wrong, it's going to cost me $75 to fix. So, if I ever have to worry about my AC or anything like that, it's a $75 charge and I'm safe.

    When we first bought the house, the refrigerator that I had with it was one of those little bitty ones - the $300 or $400 range you can get at Home Depot. We had a problem where it kept freezing our food. You had to put it on the highest setting or else, it would spoil your food. But on the highest setting, the back of the fridge froze our food and the front of the fridge kept it at the right temperature. But this was a little bitty fridge. I have a few inches of space on each of the shelves. We called Home Shield out two different times on it. They even had a supervisor come out and they told us that they were not going to replace it or fix it because that's how the refrigerator was designed. It was freezing all of our food or not keeping it cold enough. It didn’t made it where it didn’t freeze in the back.

    This recent claim was better than other ones that I've had to do. There is usually a two-week waiting list to get somebody to come out, so that was never good. But this time around, the contractor was out the day after. Beaches Air Conditioning and Heating came out and got the AC to work again. Apparently, the coils became dirty again. We just had them cleaned six months ago, but we have a lot of dust and stuff in our house and I didn't think it would have to be done that often. The tech came in and just cleaned the coils out real good, and inspected the rest of it. We had them come out a week or two before that because the AC broke. The compressor was bad. Also, we've had the contractor before. The tech was very nice and polite. Also, he had a mask and made sure to stay a distance from us.

    Mason's Plumbing did a very good job. The plumber who came out was very thorough and he took care of the leak. He also explained what all happened to us. I wore a mask and I kept social distancing with him when he was working in the house, and I was very pleased with them. We still have another company coming out tomorrow because there was some drywall damaged from the leak. Submitting the claim process was fine. It, however, seemed like it took a little bit of time to get responses back once we submitted it -- it took about two and a half to three weeks to get a response.

    We had an issue with the dishwasher that was clogging up. And then the refrigerator, mainly the freezer, was not freezing and making ice. American Home Shield had Majestic Appliance Service come out. I got an email that same afternoon or the next morning that somebody had been assigned. I was called the next day and a visit was scheduled. They were good.

    I’ve had work done last year and there was another appliance repair company sent to us. But I personally found Majestic Appliance Service easier to work with. They are more flexible and they did not give me a four-hour window, which sometimes it’s unrealistic when you’re working. The tech came back a couple of times because he had to order a part. The unit still wasn’t working so he came back again. We were very happy with that.

    American Home Shield's website is fine. Everything like that is fine. But sometimes you have a question. And when you're trying to call the warranty company, it is nearly impossible to get a human being on the phone. That has been a little disappointing. The prices went up too and I was unhappy with that as well. But I guess everything goes up.

    American Home Shield's claim process was super easy. I went online and it was straightforward. I put the claim in the evening and then I got a call the very next morning for a schedule. The Controlled Comfort repairman came right when he said he would -- it was scheduled for like a few days after I made the request. He looked at the unit and told me my options.

    He said, “It looks like there’s a leak. We can try to patch up the leak.” He told me straight up what it was going to cost. He told me about all the labors included here, and that only $15 or something was going to be used towards the actual coolant or refrigerant. He also quoted me if we wanted to do a whole replacement, to which I said that we would just do the patch and refill. The cost came out to be a little bit less than what he had quoted me on. He wore booties inside the house the whole time. He wore a mask as well given the COVID situation. He was very professional. The repair has been good, and the AC works fine.

    I got something in the mail from American Home Shield and I called and talked to the representative on the phone. I got the pricing, and it was a reasonable amount of money every month to give myself some peace of mind. You never know what is happening tomorrow and I have bad luck. I’ve only had one or two issues with them, but they’ve been there for me and things have worked out good.

    One time, our dishwasher wouldn’t start and when my husband looked under the cabinet, the plug, in the wall plate, was melted and burnt. I called American Home Shield and they did all of their part. We called twice though. It seems the first time was computer-generated and the company didn’t respond, so then I called back and told them they never responded. I had to cancel the first company, and they replaced it with another company that came, and that was a human. It was Applifix and they fixed the dishwasher. All in all, American Home Shield is great. They’ve done very well for me.

    We've used American Home Shield a few times. Unfortunately, the house got some issues here and there, and they take good care of it each time. Recently, there was a leak in the upstairs bathtub. There was also a leak downstairs across from the basement. Pipe Solutions came out. The guy took care of it, figured it out, and it was done in a reasonable amount of time. He wasn't messing around. he was pretty efficient and quick.

    With some of the repairs in the past, there's a couple of them where the guys don't do certain things when calling the plumber, and we don't understand why or why not. Then it throws the home warranty people for a loop that is trying to schedule things, and they don't understand who or what type of repair person to call. We had somebody come out and they wouldn't clear a clogged drain. They were only there to fix faucets. It seems to be that when calling the plumber, they should handle anything that water flows through and they don't. That's something that needs to be improved.

    A&E from Sears was fantastic, professional, knowledgeable and they had what they needed. They would get approval on the spot, set up the next appointment and order the stuff. They were very different than some of the other appliance people we’ve had over the past years. So, I would request them first and get them out for any appliance issue with any of our properties. I also told my sister-in-law who also have American Home Shield to request them each and every time because they were perfect.

    The other great thing about A&E from Sears is that when you call American Home Shield, they could set up that appointment for you and you have it straight away. You tell them what your issue is and AHS would say that they would be out at this day and time. You get an email confirmation of what they did, when they’re coming out and before they come. They should be the number one company for American Home Shield to use and the first one they send out. If AHS gives you another company, that company will contact you within one to two days. Then, if they don’t have a spot, in the next week, you can call back and then we can start all over, and then that new company will call you one to two days, set up an appointment and see when they can get you a schedule.

    I first had a company called Drain Go come out. They spent 10 minutes up there and then said they couldn't fix it and that I gotta get a new toilet. Then Greenway came out and the guy was real professional. Joe tried to snake the toilet and he ran into some challenges. He couldn't snake the toilet to get it to flush but he said he was gonna do everything he can to get this thing fixed. He stayed up there and it was an object somewhere in the toilet and he got it out of there. The toilet has been working fine ever since. I called and spoke to a manager over there and told them how Joe was. He was awesome. But I would never call Drain Go. I was not impressed. They also tried to encourage me to leave American Home Shield and go to another warranty company.

    Initially, American Home Shield tried to charge me another $100 for a second opinion. I told them that the guys from Drain Go were telling me I needed to buy a whole new toilet but I'm paying for a home warranty company for these issues. It's not like I'm always calling in claims. When I called in, I spoke to an agent who really couldn't help me until I asked to be escalated to a manager. I escalated to a manager and he went ahead and he said that I was right and I would get approved to go ahead and send a second company out for a second opinion. It was perfect. The manager did a great job.

    Integrity Air Conditioning did a great job. They came out and replaced the compressor. They put Freon in, but they forgot to fix the leak. So, a week later, it stopped working again. But, they came right back out and fixed the leak. It has been working great ever since. The guys were good with the precautions they took.     When the tech came out, the power had gone out in the neighborhood. I’ve had people say, “I’m not gonna be able to do it,” and just walk out. But instead of saying, “The power is out and I can’t do anything,” he was a champ. He worked on the dishwasher and put a new motor in. The problem is that it’s leaking and the water was settling at the bottom of the dishwasher. It wasn’t draining completely. Then he fixed the refrigerator, which was dripping too. He did all this with no power. I'd recommend him to anybody. But I'm gonna call back for the dishwasher and see if the issue can be addressed. It’s only been about two weeks and you can call back within 90 or 60 days and AHS won’t charge you for another service call. They just send the contractor back out to address the issue.

    My AHS coverage has been great. When my air conditioner went out, they replaced it, which was awesome. When my washing machine went out, they also gave me a new washing machine. Every time I’ve had a problem, they fixed it. The only bummer is that they raised their service call from 25 bucks to 75. Also, since I've been using the online thing instead of calling call up, it has been way better. Before, when I used the phone service, it was a nightmare. They never answered and you could be on there for an hour. Now, that I just completely ignore that and go to AHS.com. The difference is night and day. Online, you just go on, plug in what you want to be fixed and what the problem is. Somebody then calls you back in an hour or two. It works much better.

    I’m really pleased with A Plus. They’re really good compared to previous vendors that I’ve used through AHS. The technician was very cordial, professional, and knowledgeable about what he was doing. He kept me abreast of pretty much everything that he was doing and what was going on. As fast as the other vendor came in was as fast as I wanted him to leave. He was very disrespectful and unprofessional by total means. My daughter, who was a people person, was the one that was here when he came. The guy looked like he was overworked or overwhelmed with what was going on. He was blunt and outright rude. She told him that he could just leave. She said she didn't I didn't appreciate his attitude and professionalism. I contacted AHS about it and that was why they reached out to A Plus, another vendor in our area.

    AHS needs a better vendor screening thing, especially if they get a lot of comments on the vendors that they send out. They should take a closer look at the customer relationships or comments that they get. Their scheduling is good though and I like that. I’m an over the phone person and I like talking to people. At least I know that it’s done. They have overseas customer service reps and sometimes, that gets a little confusing. But we’re able to work through it and it’s understandable.

    Our community has a website that everybody goes onto. Someone asked, “I have a microwave that’s out, who would you recommend?” I said, “I’m with American Home Shield. This is what I pay a month. This is the deductible if anything happens.” She said that she has never heard of them before. I said that I was glad to let her know about them because they have been a lifesaver for me. I definitely can’t turn around and buy a new refrigerator.

    There was a drip leg on the furnace and it was clogged where the discharge was. I submitted the claim to American Home Shield and they were prompt. Within 24 to 48 hours, somebody calls you to give you a service person and they respond to set up a schedule for when they come out. It’s quick and dependable.     When submitting claims, all I do is call the number and tell AHS what the problem is with what appliance. They get right on it and they call me back or the person they contacted and say that they'll be here between 9:00 and 12:00. Then they were here by 11:30 the same day. It was fantastic. Last year, the air condition wasn’t working. The guy came out and he had to put in fuses first. He fixed it and it started cooling right away.

    Then recently, two young guys from Billy’s A/C Service came and they were very nice. They went right to check everything because my unit on my air condition was running but the outside part wasn’t working. It was like there was no communication between the thermostat and outside. They stayed outside working on it. Then they found the problem. It was the relay motor inside the unit that was burned up. They replaced it and it took them all of about 45 minutes. They were very nice and professional. I haven't had any more problems, but it’s nice to know that when I do, I can just call AHS.

    We’ve had a couple things happen and American Home Shield's service has been pretty good. We had an icebox that went out and we didn’t realize it was covered. We also had an oven and a cooktop that went out and we didn’t realize they were even covered under the policy when I read it out and looked at it. So we already had it all fixed. But it wasn’t the company’s fault. We just paid to have them replaced. We had an air conditioner fail three years ago. They put a new air conditioning system in but they don’t pay for the Freon. They pay $10 on the first pound, and Freon is $50, $60 or $80. Some of these guys get 100 bucks a pound for it. The guy took a pen and scratched out where it said the unit held 8 pounds. We were in the air conditioning business for lots of years and the guy tried to tell me he put 28 pounds of Freon in it. It was not a good experience. It was a ripoff.

    When Knockout Pools came out, the tech and I talked and he had a theory when we got here but I had another theory. It ended up being pretty much about what I thought it was and that was good. But he was very easy to work with. He came back and said that I was right. He was great. He had a gasket that he needed to replace. It was letting water bypass it and he was able to fix it while he was here, which I was thrilled.

    We had a blower motor go out and the guy took three weeks to get one. When he came out here, he didn't want us coming out to his truck because we could see the box and when it was shipped. He fooled around and didn’t order it. I finally got him to admit he didn’t order the motor for about two weeks. We have two systems on the house and we didn't have any air conditioning on one side of the house because he didn't order the motor for two weeks. I was unhappy about that. But that was on the tech and not on American Home Shield. He tried to lay it off and the company ordered the motor. But I don't think that was true. But we’ve been overall pretty satisfied with American Home Shield. We've had a plumbing company called F6 out here a couple times the last couple years and their employees are unbelievable. They're prompt and very courteous. They explain everything to you.

    A month ago, a guy from F6 came in and he had his mask and gloves on. When you get people like that, it makes you feel good about using them. He had to really work to get it fixed, but he did it correctly. I told him that we could go through the house but he said that he wanna walk around outside so he doesn't track anything in our house. But at that time, I just wanted to get it fixed. I could have cared less about tracking something in the house, but he was very good about it. We’ve been very happy. When he left here, it was all perfect. He was a very nice, young gentleman. F6 is the best company we’ve ever had out here. We’ve had some good ones, but these guys were so professional and courteous of your property here. They were very respectful of this.

    My air conditioning unit wasn’t working. This was the first time I put a claim in to American Home Shield and it was terrible. It took me from 10:30 in the morning until 8 at night to get ahold of them. What upset me was they'd put me on hold and I would put my cell phone on speaker so I could do what I needed to do and listen as well and I would be on hold for a good hour or longer and then I would get disconnected, all day long. I understand that they're busy but why don’t they have a recording where you could leave your name and number at least so they could get back to you?

    When they finally answered and they got me an appointment for three days later, the service people that came out were great. The tech gave nothing but the best. He works with a lot of different appliance insurances and he told me that American Home Shield is the best out of all of them. And that encouraged me. Aside for the problem I had trying to get ahold of them from morning till night, it a was great experience. I'm satisfied.

    The refrigerator was not cooling. The contractor, Trooper's Appliance Repair, got my email. I got the email, and it was a holiday weekend, so it was probably going to be Tuesday. And then Tuesday, Trooper's called me and said that somebody will be there Thursday. They showed up. Rick, the tech, checked it, reset the computer inside the refrigerator, and then we went ahead and figured it out. After we reset it, he left and said give it from that day to the next day to see if it cooled down after he resetted it.

    The next day, at about 9:00 in the morning, I texted him and told him it still wasn’t cooling, and then he showed up later that afternoon between 12:00 and 2:00. According to him, it was a fuse sensor that he replaced, and it has been working since. He did really good out there and he was really friendly. Trooper's attended to the questions I had and left me a phone number. And if I would have any issues, they would fix it no matter what, just to let them know that I was having any issues, and to give them a call and report if it was still not functioning. Everything is fine right now. It took a day and a half for the refrigerator to start cooling right. The freezer is working great. I’ve had Home Shield for a while. They have always been good about sending people to the house and getting the situation corrected.

    The sewer line had clogged. We just moved in the house about three weeks ago. We were just four days into our warranty when it happened. I'm impressed with American Home Shield. I like it. My wife did a claim over the phone and they sent Mr. Rooter the afternoon the next day. They were quick. The tech ran a snake in, and it took him about every bit of five minutes to get it cleaned. I had some construction debris where the people had worked on my house. I had to run a 80-foot snake two ways the day prior to it. But when the tech came, he managed to walked it out, and he found a cleanout that I did not see. Where it breaks off from behind the house, it shoots over to the main system to the city. When he run it in there, he get two really bad spots, and it knocked it right loose. We haven't had a lot of trouble since. It was really good experience.

    Harkins A/C, Heating & Controls did my claim really fast. They came out on Saturday. The only thing was that there was more gas leak on the AC unit and the guy couldn’t find it. This is the second time we had the same issue. He told me that he applied some microleak sealing and put two pounds of gas on the unit. He also said that AHS would only cover $10 per pound and I had to pay the difference. I paid $50 for each ‘cause the total was 120. Actually, this company was faster than the other AC company last time.

    We bought this house two years ago and put in all new appliances. When we did a certain function with the microwave, it tripped the breakers ‘cause they were on a single circuit.     The AC unit was not working, so I started the claim online. I always get an e-mail saying that I would expert the contractor out within seven business days. Certified Heating and Cooling came out and said that they had to order some capacitor and coolant. Then, they came back out and fixed it. I paid them the extra money that they said I owed, and that was it. They were absolutely great. They were quick and super nice. We haven't had any leaks since the repair.

    American Home Shield is great. I have not had too many issues with them that they haven’t been able to solve. In this house, we've had them for two years already, but we also had this home warranty company in another house before this for about a year, and they have always been good. We have the warranty because we moved quite often, and when we move, it is easier to know that everything is going to be able to be taken care of. We don’t have to worry about the full expense. Overall, I’d definitely recommend AHS.

    My daughter has been with Home Shield for a long time and she recommended them. My washer shook a lot when it's spinning. It shakes out of control. Also, the dryer's lint portion and the part where that piece goes into are broken. And then, sometimes my freezer is frosted up. And then it spread it on the filters. Plus, two of my stove's burners are not working. And then my dishwasher's soap dispenser sometimes opened, sometimes didn't. It didn’t wash the plates as it used to.

    One guy came. He had to be at a distance, so I allowed him to do his work. And then when he told me he found out what was going on with the stuff, I asked him if he was finished and he said yes. The dryer was obvious because it’s broken. The stove was obvious because he turned them on and they’re not working. He ran the washer and he said something like it needed struts and I agreed. And then, he took out the dishrack from the dishwasher, and he bent down with the light and went under there. And then he went to the refrigerator and told me that maybe it wasn’t closing properly and air got inside. Because at the time, I didn’t have any frost.

    Right now, I’m having a problem with a guy who put in my AC last year. I got damage in my house. He was no way professional. He was in no way someone who needs to continue a job and go in and mess up people’s houses and curse them out. I tried to reach out to Consumer a long time ago on that guy. I’m fighting with him with his insurance. I used to have my daughter live here, but she couldn’t live in her room anymore. She had to move out because my house is flooded after several times. He put in an AC last July and it was not cooling down. It overheated. It did not shut off. He came back several times, and then it started to leak.

    Home Shield hires somebody to come into your house, and then you will not know what they do. A few people that I’m fighting with right now are blaming Home Shield. I said, “If I have a damaged parts in my home, if my air condition is damaged, the factory warranty is supposed to come and get it out.” And then, I wasn’t around this recent guy that much. I wasn’t because of the pandemic. I allowed him to do what he had to do. But it was very fast he found out.

    My brother referred American Home Shield to me because he liked them. They’ve done a superb job so far. I had a problem with the stove about a couple months ago and I couldn’t get it unlocked. I was cooking my biscuits and the stove got so hot. I just stopped and it was four months later that I decided that I needed somebody to come out here and check it. The technician did a great job and he was very nice. He explained and answered my questions.     There was a clogged line for the water to move out of the condenser of the AC unit. Home Shield got service out here and working fast. The tech from Carolina Air Heating and Cooling did the repair and it was working after but later on the day, it clogged up again. Instead of calling it out and paying another $107 deductible, I went to Home Depot, grabbed some PVC piping, repiped it myself, and unclogged it. The contractor did a good job. He went in there and did what he was supposed to do. He said he blew nitrogen into the system and then put almost like a new trap in there. The only thing is that it wasn’t totally unclogged.

    Also, one thing I would do if I was American Home Shield is I would make the subcontractor companies have a better warranty, like a 90-day or a 120-day instead of a 60-day. I had something go wrong where water was leaking into my garage. The contractor came out and they fixed it, but then it was 62 days out of the warranty. I called the company and the rep said it had been 60 days. I would suggest a 90-day with the vendors.

    The AC had stopped working and the tech said one of the breakers probably had a problem. He suggested that I get the whole box replaced because it was out of date. But as far as the AC work, he got the problem resolved. So they did a good job. Submitting claims to Home Shield is really easy. You just pay the deductible, tell them what’s wrong, and then they find a local contractor. It doesn't take long to get somebody out here. But Home Shield could have an app. They probably already have an app that can notify you the status, but it could maybe take a picture of the people that’s coming to your house so you know who’s coming and what company they are. Also, since it’s Corona season, they should suggest to all these people to wear proper PPEs because they represent Home Shield not themselves at that point. But overall, they’re excellent so far.

    More Than Plumbing came out to check a leak that was on the outside of the house. He fixed a pipe and then determined that it wasn’t covered under our warranty. Then our dishwasher stopped working. We’re still waiting now. The person who came out said that he needed to order some parts, but they didn't make them anymore. So, American Home Shield was supposed to call us and talk to us about replacing the dishwasher, and we were told this on Thursday, but they haven't gotten in contact with us yet.

You have to go through so many channels, but if they could go a little faster, go right to the point instead of going through all the other stuff, that would be great. It’s not a big deal though. I still have my home warranty. Another thing is that, everything’s done from overseas nowadays and I barely understood. If there was a complaint issue, that would be it. Other than that, they got the guy and he took care of the problem. He changed the timer on the washing machine and he let it roll through the cycle. He then made sure to operate it and then he left.     The washer wouldn't go through all the cycles. It would go to rinse and spin but it wouldn't spin it out. And then, it would just stop and we couldn't get it to do anything else. I filed a claim with AHS online and it took a while, so I called back to check and make sure. I thought maybe I did something wrong. But I got a call in no time after that with a contractor saying he was gonna be out. A guy from Economy came out, ordered the part on a Friday, and on Monday, he came back and had it fixed in no time.

    The contractor came out for my garage door and they did the job. It was quick and they were very professional. I had a couple of claims with Home Shield before when I first moved in but this garage door claim was the most difficult one because the contractor didn’t come out on a weekend. It took three or four days before they finally got out there. So my car stayed inside the garage all weekend. Sometimes there’s an emergency, like you’re stuck in your garage and you can’t get your car out, and I wish Home Shield would have options. Because I found out later there were companies that were open on Saturdays. But they may not contract with Home Shield so that’s why they weren’t chosen.

    We had a light in one of my bedrooms that wasn’t coming on even if I changed the bulb and the bathroom exhaust light was also doing that. Also, my range was not working. I went on the American Home Shield website, and it was very easy to submit a claim and then pay for the service upfront. So, I like that part. But sometimes, when the technicians come out, they have no idea what's going on. Then, they would say that they don’t do that or that I need to tell American Home Shield about each particular problem that’s going on or he wouldn’t be paid. I’ve heard that a few times. So, if there was a way on the website when we’re submitting a request for service to explain all that’s going on, it would run a little more efficiently.

    When this particular guy came out, he said he could not fix the range hood and it’s still unfixed. I submitted a follow-up claim for this specific appliance and when the guy came out, he could not fix it either. He said that I needed to purchase the particular bulb from Viking. So, I had to have two different repair service claims for the same thing, and the second one didn't even fix it. For the most part, the contractors are professional. There was a rough patch that I had problems with getting my refrigerator fixed.

    I have a Sub-Zero refrigerator and the contractors must have come out six times last year and they could not get the service right. They had to order parts and I’d have to wait a couple weeks for these parts to come in. They'd come back, fix it, but it wasn’t fixed so then we’d start that whole cycle over again, which was a bit frustrating. Then to top it off, that particular contractor ended up saying he was not coming back out again. AHS sent somebody else that fixed the problem the first time he came out. When you submit the request for service, they should recognize that it’s a Sub-Zero and it needs to go to a Sub-Zero-certified technician. I don’t feel like the people that came out all of last year were certified. They were trying, but obviously, these brands are kinda complicated and not easy to fix.

    I’ve heard horror stories of other home warranties, but AHS have really done a good job to follow through on it though sometimes, it takes some work on my end to repetitively call. Whenever the contractors come out, they would either fix or not. They're supposed to communicate that to AHS but that’s where the disconnect is. Nobody from American Home Shield is following up with me directly after the claim to make sure it was completed to satisfaction. It’s my burden to call them and say, that it’s still not done or that I’m still waiting on a part. It is a month later and nobody has called me to reschedule. So, that part needs some improvement on it but overall, I’m satisfied with American Home Shield. With an older house that I’m in, it gives me peace of mind to know that if something breaks, AHS is available to come in and fix it without a large out-of-pocket expense.

    When we had our fridge cooling system go out on us, my husband YouTubed it. We cleaned out the back of the fridge and tried to do what we thought might work. It started coming back, but we still wanted a tech to come out and kinda look over it to make sure that there was nothing that we were missing.     I had to have my heater for the spa serviced and Home Shield said that it was not covered because it involved a computer. I've tried to escalate that to a second level or a supervisor and it’s impossible. Their agents are good at signing up service. Many of them are non-native English speakers, so it’s difficult. And the contract provides no one to escalate an issue for reconsideration. I wrote them a letter over a month ago to the address listed in my contract and I’ve had no response. I don’t know how to get someone and I would think there should be a process to review if they deny coverage or you could at least talk to somebody or submit a written objection. I find it a significant deficiency that they have no way to appeal, review, or escalate if there is a disagreement.

    Also, I don’t know how they handle their call center but most of their reps are non-native speakers either in Southeast Asia or parts of Central America. And sometimes, it’s difficult to communicate with them. I had a claim for our furnace in our Colorado home, for which we also have American Home Shield. I told the rep this is a radiant floor heating system and she didn’t understand what I was talking about. They need to improve the language skills of their call center agents. But I’m generally happy with the service. I've been very satisfied with the response and the work and the contractors are very good.

    I’ve been in this house for 26 years and about 20 years ago, I had a problem with a new oven. It was a GE and I had had it for four months when I tried to turn it on and the thing blew up. A flame came out in there. I called American Home Shield and they not only replaced the oven, but they also paid $4,000 for me to have a brand new GE oven. I thought they were miracle workers. I used it once more for something minor and I thought they handled it well.

    For a recent claim, the tech came out promptly and he had the unit fixed in 35 minutes while he was here. It was working when he left but now, it's a week and a half later and it's not working. I called Home Shield back and the tech is supposed to come. But he said it may be a week before he can get to us to check on it again. This is making me angry with Home Shield. They're letting him get by with this. I was so delighted with them and I recommended them right and left for years. This is the first wrinkle I’ve ever had in my relationship with them and I’ve had their services for about 23 years now.

    Recently, we had an electrical outlet that wasn’t working and Preferred Electrical Services came out and found the problem very quickly and solved it in a matter of minutes. We just bought the house in March, but we've had American Home Shield on our other home, and it's always easy to use it. Just call or go online and submit a claim. They're very responsive. They’ve also helped with the air conditioning issues, the big one. The only thing I would like to see is that sprinkler systems might be added as something they could have coverage for.

    We’ve had A-US Air out two separate times. The first time they came out, they sent a technician to diagnose the issue. It was a AC issue, and they suggested that the coil be cleaned. So, like two days later, there's some guys who came out, cleaned out, apparently did not do what they were supposed to. Now, the technician did prescribe a full cleaning like to pull the coil. The guys that showed up just did not do what they were instructed to do. So, the issue was not resolved.

    So, I called them like a month later because I was hoping, “Maybe it’ll clear itself up.” It didn't. I called them back. They sent the technician out again. He got a little bit more in depth with his questioning about the guys that had done the previous work, and he said they apparently did not do what they were supposed to do on the front-end, so they sent them out. They sent more guys, different guys this time to come. They pulled the coil, did the cleaning, and that time, there wasn’t any cost to me. It was just the $75 fee for them to come diagnose it again. It fixed it. Once they did that the second time and did what they were supposed to, I haven't had any issues. So far, so good. AHS did a really good job. It's just that communication broke down in the first one.

    K&N Electric came out for the refrigerator and they were very professional. They were two guys and I liked them better than the service people that had been sent out. They came at the time that they said that they were coming. They were in the house for about a hour or so. They went straight and looked at it, went under and behind it, got it apart, and then they said, “The parts would cost so much to fix this.” They were not trying to just fix something and knowing that they have to come right back out. I have been passing American Home Shield's name on to a few of my friends that are homeowners, saying that it is helpful for people who own their homes. They measured my unit that was still in the wall and they told me I needed three-quarters of an inch more space. They took it out enough to measure and they put it back in so I could continue to use it.     We have had contact with American Home Shield at least 5 times this year related to our main HVAC system. We were without heat for almost 6 weeks in January and February. They would only call one company to fix it. They kept ordering parts and installing them but they did not fix the problem. We tried to get American Home Shield to replace the unit but they refused. Finally, the company was able to get the furnace to light part of the time.

    Ten days ago, the AC went out. American Home Shield called the same company to try to fix it. They wanted us to pay $1700 to get our system up to city code and to recharge it with Freon (They claimed that the coil needed to be replaced). We tried to get American Home Shield to replace the unit. They refused and they are only paying us $476 which is what they were going to pay the company to fix it. We would be responsible for paying for the rest of the repair. We finally decided to buy a new unit through another HVAC company. It turned out that the original company was going to overcharge us for unnecessary work. We feel like American Home Shield should have replaced our HVAC unit or at least paid for the new heating unit since it never worked right since they tried to fix it. We voiced our concerns to American Home Shield. They are not willing to reimburse us even though we have been their customers for almost twenty years.

    I had an electrical issue. I submitted a claim online with AHS and their website told me when the tech would be out. And he was out in that amount of time. It turned out that the sensor was messed up so the garage door would not shut. He had to replace the sensors and he took care of it. Everything's working great now. He was very good, very helpful, and friendly. But I don't know if I'm gonna continue my service with AHS because the price is going up so much that I don't know that the warranty really pays for itself anymore. It's almost doubled over the time that I've been at this house, so I will probably cancel it this year.

    Submitting my claim to American Home Shield for my washing machine was really easy compared to other times that I have submitted. I was able to speak to a live person first. Their contractor, Jaminos Appliance Repair LLC came to service my washing machine. However, the tech left because he couldn't fix it. He took off pieces of the washing machine, evaluated and left quickly. He was with a mask, gloves and shoe shields. AHS then called me back and their rep told me to look at an email they sent and choose the washing machine I wanted. I had somebody call and confirm what I had selected and that person told me what AHS was gonna be doing next. Their techs came and brought me a washing machine. I'm pleased with the one they got me. However, one the people who brought the washing machine did not have a mask and I gave him one. They had no shoe shields either. Still, they provided easy, quick, in and out type of service.

    A couple of years ago, Home Shield's claim process was really ragged and difficult. We left for one year and then we went to another company and that company was worse. When we came back, it seemed like AHS was back on track. And since Sears went out of business, there has been nobody else to emulate what AHS does.

    I called them to file a claim and they gave us a contract number and the company that will be coming out. They said that we will be getting a call from the company soon. Advanced Heating came and they were very professional, informative and educational. They not only came out to do the task that was at hand but they explained what they were gonna do and the way they were doing it. Everything went well and everything that they did was completed to my satisfaction. I had to call them a few times, not because of anything they've done, but because of what the inspectors wanted when we were in the process of selling our home. There were other things they wanted checked. We had the things reinspected and they were found to be in compliance.

    The last claim that I sent over was for the water heater. It was going in and out. It went out for a couple of hours where we couldn’t get any hot water. I filed a claim with Home Shield and a guy from Whitney Holdings came out. He took a look at it and said he had to order a part. Two weeks later, he came back to install it but when he got here, he said that it was the wrong part that was ordered, so they would reorder the part. Time passed and nobody came. We never got another part sent to the house. I requested from Whitney what was going on and they said that the claim had been closed and I had to reschedule it. It was crazy. Then, all of a sudden, we got a part delivered to our house and I got a text saying that the appointment had been scheduled. They were nice enough to work with.
