    We've had two repairs done through American Home Shield, and I was extremely disappointed with one. The repair people from Lenny's were terrible. They broke my shower. I think the tech dropped his drill. We had a couple of faucets that needed to be worked on. For the one he ended up in our basement bathroom, which was right in our shower area, he had to cut an access panel into the ceiling. During that time, he dropped a tool. It's a fiberglass shower. I have a big chip in my fiberglass shower, and the fiberglass seat is split. That work was done in May and I didn't realize that until recently. It's my son that showers in that shower all the time. I'm not happy with that. The tech did two access panels. Our basement’s only been finished for five years. He did another access panel and didn't even have the right access panel size. So, it looks horrible. I had another claim just in December, and that was fine. It was for a clogged pipe.

    I had a plumbing issue and three days after making a claim, technicians came out and fixed that. They fixed the drywall too. American Home Shield has been pretty good. I've been pretty happy with them and I'd definitely recommend them. I just wish I could speak to somebody in the United States every time I have to file a claim.

    I like having AHS in case something big goes, but for smaller things, it’s a little bit of a hassle. Recently, there was water coming down our wall under the master bathroom. Tri-State Home came out and they were good. They're one of the contractors that we like.

    I've dealt with American Home Shield before and they have excellent customer service. The dryer had gone out and I put in a claim on the computer. I was told that the contractor would be calling but they didn’t give a time frame. The contractor was great. We’ve worked with them before for the same problem. They always called us and let us know when they were coming and if it was all right as well as when the part would be in. The dryer is still working since the repair.

    For the changing of the locks, the guy came and did everything in half an hour. That was very pleasant experience. Recently, I had this plumbing leak that I thought was a pipe leak but Mike from Honesty Mechanical said the leak was coming through shower pan. I put like three claims and he's the only one who's coming. He's very nice but he was not able to repair it because he has to open the shower pan and AHS doesn't cover that thing. When there was a snow storm here and there was a puddle in my crawl space, I tried to get ahold of AHS but it was not possible on short moment. I had to go and do it on my own. When I tried to work with them for the reimbursement of the sump pump and dehumidifier which I had installed in the crawl space, they rejected it.

    We've had luck with AHS in the past and we've utilized them for a couple of years now since we bought the home. We've had to call them a couple of times and they’ve handled everything swiftly. Recently, we had a claim for the washing machine that was leaking and the tech who came out was great. We had no problem at all and the process was easy. American Home Shield's service is a little bit expensive but if you need it, then it works out like any insurance.

    We had an AC claim and the techs who came were really professional and did everything right. It’s just I don't know what happened with the board. It worked for a few hours, and it crashed again. They had to come back the next day. Then, they got it fixed and it's been working since. We got a few claims with American Home Shield. You could just go online, pay the money, and then they send somebody. It’s been pretty easy. They're pretty quick unless they need parts. Then, they get the parts out pretty quickly.

    I'm having my heater repaired, but I'm not pleased. South Placer said the heat exchanger was ** but they didn't show me that that's what it is. This for sure is expensive. The part and the labor was not bad, but because they're doing something major with the heater, it requires upgrades in California, which means they have to come out and inspect my vents. The repair was $1,100 and the added cost is $1,500, so I wanted a second opinion. I don't feel like I can only trust one company. However, American Home Shield said that if the opinion was the same with the company that I had chosen, then they wouldn't cover the cost. I also didn't like that even if the other company found something different, AHS wouldn't cover the repair with that company.

    I don't know why AHS would be satisfied with just one opinion, especially when it's such a large repair like that. It doesn't make any sense to me. I was also surprised the part was sent directly here instead of to South Placer Heating and Air. I let them know on Thursday that it arrived, but no one called. I called them this morning, and they said they will be here tomorrow. My heater’s been out since January 1st, and here it is the 26th and it's still not fixed. It’s a little cold. Some of that was my fault because I hem-hawed about it. I was trying to think of other options, but American Home Shield also doesn't give you enough time to make that option.

    They didn't tell me this when it happened, but they said I had seven days from when they approved the repair to okay it. The problem was, they told me that the repair was approved, so I called South Placer Heating, but they didn't get out. They had to have a consultation first, so it's just a salesman that comes out trying to ask you, “Do you want to repair it, or do you want a new unit?”. They didn't get me an appointment for five days. At that point, I only have two days left to get another company in here and that's almost impossible. The options were so narrow that it was very frustrating for me.

    I thought a home warranty was a good thing to have. I usually call my son-in-law for all those things and I thought, “Oh, give him a break. Just get a home warranty.” If I would have known how limiting it was, I would not have made the choice to do it. I don't think it's worth the savings and I don't think I'll renew it because I have no options as to where to go. In their contract, they say they'll take care of it, but they don't say, “We use only certain companies and no other companies are allowed.” I know it has to do with the contracts they have, but I don't think that's great for the consumer.

    I would have liked to have seen them a little more upfront. They could be specific, “We may not use those companies that’s in your local area. The company that we choose will have to be the company that you use,” or something like that. It should be something really plain so that people can make the decision whether or not they want to go with the warranty. We have reputable companies and we don’t live in a smaller town that you couldn't have someone locally come out. American Home Shield will get someone out there, but it's not going to be local.

    South Placer Heating is based in Loomis, California. Why would they choose a company that’s not in your own area? It makes me feel like, “Are they getting something on the backside of this?” Besides that, I'm so disappointed with them. My garage door came off its hinges today and I know that's covered under the policy, but I didn't even notify American Home Shield. I called a local company.

    Our furnace is a heat and pump where the fan runs when the thermostat's on regular heat. It froze up on the sides, which was not normal. I didn't want us to not have heat because I have a daughter with a disability and two grandkids that live with me. The worker who came was good. the problem was the outside unit with the fan. The guy told me what he fixed and it worked. I was thankful.

    This time that I made a claim was better than what I dealt with one other time. I've been with American Home Shield and I've never had problems. But sometimes their customer service's English isn't really well. I get flustered after a bit and it's awful. There was a time I called and customer service had very bad English and they were upsetting me by telling me I had to wait for my unit to break down in order to get service. I lost it. I called American Home Shield back and I was very stern. They helped me.

    Customer service should make it pretty easy and simple with the words of what's wrong. And when they are typing in the problem, they are repeating it back and it's something that has totally nothing to do with why I'm calling and what I need to be done. In the past, I referred people and they hooked up with American Home Shield. It's all been great and hunky-dory. Unfortunately, there have been changes. I've been given feedback from people saying the same thing as me.

    We had a problem with our hot water heater that we were having to pay a lot of money out of pocket for it. My friend's dad came over to help us and he said that our house is older and it would really make sense to have a home warranty. He had American Home Shield so I looked into it and signed up for the service. We have used American Home Shield for a few different things. To me, it's money well spent because we have a home that's 20 years old and things happen. Being a young family, you don't always have the money should something go haywire. Paying that $60-some every month is well worth the peace of mind when something does happen. American Home Shield is great and I always recommend them.

    We used the warranty when our garage door was not closing. It would open all the way but it would not close. We put in a service request online to have that looked at. The American Home Shield website was good and very manageable. A young lady called me to schedule the appointment within minutes of submitting the request. It was a Friday evening so I was shocked. She was very professional, nice, and sweet.

    A gentleman came out and he was very agreeable. He was in the area or on his way and had a cancellation. He called me before the actual appointment to make sure that it was okay that he came out. I said that was fine. I just asked him if he could send me a text or call me when he got to the door so that my dog didn't bark. He did that. He said there was something wrong with the sensors. he got that fixed in less than 30 minutes and it's been great ever since he left. Our garage door finally works and we don't have to mess with it. The contractor was amazing and they are a great company.

    C and R did a great job. They installed the cooktop. The one thing that I thought was interesting is that American Home Shield apparently did not communicate terribly well with C and R. They didn't know what they were coming out for. But it didn't bother them and they didn't complain. They said that American Home Shield was notorious for not telling them anything. Other than that, C and R came out right away. They were really prompt and professional. They got the cooktop installed in no time and cleaned up. Overall, the process went pretty smoothly and American Home Shield worked for me.

    I went online and made a request for the garage door opener that wasn't working. I paid the $75 fee and the guy came right out two days later. It was on the weekend. He was very good.     My heater wasn't working. I called the number that AHS gave me originally and I never spoke to anybody. I just followed the prompts and submitted the request. Then, the tech called me that same day but I didn't see the call for a week. That was my own fault. And then, he came out four days later and he was great. I've had issues with my heater since I purchased this house, and every single year, I had to have a part fixed or replaced and it never really even seemed to do anything. But he replaced one part, got it working, and I haven't had any issues since. I also asked him if I could use some of his business cards for some of my clients in the future because he was really fast. He looked into my heater and told me what was the problem. Then he said he'd be back either that day or he'd have to order a part. Then, he came back that day and he was done within an hour or two.

    I've also been recommending AHS for years. I've been in real estate for about four years and I've never gotten my own home warranty until this year. That was my first experience and I was very pleased with the company and with that contractor. I know the contractors AHS send out are all different, but that contractor really made my first experience a really good one.

    There was a leak in the kitchen sink and it looked like it was coming from the connection to the water faucet. My claim to American Home Shield was not at all difficult. It was very smooth. The technician had to come back because the new faucet had to be ordered from Moen, but that wasn't their fault. My experience with American Home Shield has been very good. I had them a long time ago and I'm very pleased with the service I received.

    I have two separate sinks and both of them were leaking. We couldn't use them to wash. It took American Home Shield three days to send a technician which I'm not thrilled about. It would be nice if they can get my appointment the next business day. Other than that, AHS was easy to talk to and the tech was so nice and professional. So far, things have been good and there have been no leaks. I'm happy because I don't need to put a bucket out or wipe things down under the sink.     The issue with our refrigerator is still reoccurring. The guy told me that it was gonna take 24 hours to make some ice, so he doesn't really know what is going on after those 24 hours.     I have a garage heater, and it sounded like one of the bearings was bad in the motor. Automatic Heating and Air Conditioning came and replaced that. The noise is an annoyance, but it probably prevented the heater from breaking further. It's a lot quieter in the garage now.

    I had an issue with the icemaker on my refrigerator, so I called American Home Shield, and they sent out somebody from Sears. That person saw that there was a leak on the hose that feeds into the refrigerator for the icemaker, but he couldn't do anything with that. However, he did what he could do. He made sure that the temperatures were checking out okay on both sides of the refrigerator. I then called American Home Shield back up and they sent out a plumber who was able to attach a new hose for the water supply. Once he was done, I called the home warranty company back, and they sent out another person that was able to replace the malfunctioning icemaker.

    While I was going through this process, another company called me. They were trying to get my business and I told them that I was waiting for American Home Shield to send out the plumber. All in all, I was satisfied with the service that I received from AHS, so there is no reason for me to switch. It was also easy to submit the claim. I just called in and said what the issue I was having was, and they sent out somebody to take care of it. I was under the thought process that I was going to get charged each time someone came out, but it was just the one-time $100 fee for the claim.

    I really felt bad as my claim wasn't handled right. I don't have a job and American Home Shield told me to go buy a refrigerator and then send them the bill so that they can refund me. They did the same thing for my dishwasher. So, I have to raise money to go buy the fridge and the dishwasher and then bill them instead of them giving a check or going to Home Depot themselves, paying for the replacement and then coming here for it to be installed.

    The dishwasher claim was approved back in April or May of last year but I didn't have the $600 to buy a dishwasher then. I told AHS to ship one out and send someone to put it in. They said that it was gonna take up until October. I waited and said it was okay. But AHS is supposed to either cut a check and send it out or I should pick the appliance. The replacement dishwasher is supposed to be installed this week.

    Bear Plumbing and Rooter came out really fast. The tech has to come back again now because the faucet’s not right, and it inconvenienced my tenant. He couldn't turn the shower valve. Now, the hot water is not coming out. It's only cold. So, I don't know if they check it outright or not. If there’s an iffy part, it's better to fix it right there and then. It doesn't cost the insurance company money. But now, they got to go back again. I don't know if these companies that American Home Shield hooks up with are the AAA companies. Sometimes, they're very quick and they don't communicate that well with the customers or with me. They do, but they don't. So, depends on who you get, it's a hit and miss.

    There's another problem too. If you speak English and you're not from the Philippines, it's very hard at times to understand what these people are saying when it's outsourced to a foreign country. I understand it's economics. I understand people have jobs but it's not easy for us here, especially me, to understand the dialect. It's very frustrating at times. They use too many words. I'll say something and then they repeat it to me, and I'm in a hurry. It's not set up like it was. I'm 74 years old. American Home Shield needs to work harder.

    My refrigerator’s over 20 years old, and it's got cracks all inside. I've shelled out so much money and it doesn't freeze. Lately, because the weather got colder, it's freezing stuff. But later on, it'll start spoiling stuff because it doesn't warm up and I've already had AHS out here for about three or four times. Then about seven years ago, my other house had a problem with the dishwasher. I must have had them out there seven times and it was $75 each time. They kept sending different people each time. They kept saying there was nothing wrong, it was this and that. I mentioned to them that I was still going through the same stuff over and over again. They were putting a Band-Aid over something that needed to be repaired severely, or needed to replace. Then it was like I was pulling teeth to replace it. Finally, I went on my own and paid somebody $150 to check it out, and guess what? I needed a new dishwasher. I went and bought it out of my pocket.

    Now I've been working on my other house. There was an elderly man that lived there two years ago and he wouldn't let me go in. I didn't realize that all the appliances were broken or something was wrong with them. After he died, I had to redo everything in that house. I got rid of everything before I had somebody go in there and work. There was a swamp cooler in there, so the refrigerator was broken. Then when the guy came and removed all the popcorn off, he took the ceiling fans and took every piece apart. My son said that those can't be put back again because they're probably not any good and have been there for a long time. I also have to redo that whole back room. I just don't have money because all I have is social security. My husband and I are both disabled.

    The ceiling fans have to be repaired or replaced, as well as the refrigerator, stove, and a refrigeration unit. I'm paying this warranty since 2008, 2009, 2010 when I purchased them, so I've shelled out about 20,000. The way I see it, I've already paid for those appliances. I was recommended by one of my friends in this warranty and she had all kinds of stuff replaced the time that I knew her. But I can’t understand why I'm having so much trouble with these people. I feel like it's owed to me. I don't feel well and I'm too tired to complain. I would not recommend AHS.

    I have a policy with American Home Shield for my house and for my mom's house. The guy who came out for the washing machine was great. He did everything he was supposed to do and I had no problems with that. He had no problems fixing it, and he was in and out. But as far as with the air conditioner, the people went to my mom's house three times.

    The first time they went there, they said it needed a motor and a fan. They couldn't get the serial number from off of it. After that, they came back another day but it was another guy. He brought a motor but he didn’t have the right fan. Another technician was sent in and they said he was new, which I didn’t know why they would send him. He said he couldn't do anything with it. So, they said they would send the senior technician in. They spoke to my mom the other day and said that they’ll be back next Thursday. That’s the fourth time. I could have paid somebody to come fix it by now. My claim with AHS was great but my mom’s claim was horrible. If the contractor comes back and it's still a problem, I'm gonna cancel her policy but I’ll keep mine.

    I was easy to submit the claim. I didn't go through the recording because whenever I would say something, I don't know if it understood me, or I wasn't answering the right questions. But I just asked for representatives and then I talked to them and got it done. It was easier than doing the recording. The hot water heater wasn't getting hot and it kept tripping the breaker, so Hays County Plumbing came out and put new elements in it, and then they left. But it still didn't work. It kept tripping the reset in there so I had to call back. And then they came out and replaced the thermostat. It works good now. They did a good job. American Home Shield's warranty is a pretty good deal. I like it. You should go for it.

    We've requested service from AHS both online and over the phone. The online one was the easiest and way more convenient. If you're able to use the webpage, it is best when scheduling appointments. It works out great. But if you have any other thing you need to do like if you have a billing dispute or you're trying to get reimbursed, the webpage is not helpful. The only person you could talk to is somebody on the phone and that takes forever when you're waiting on the line.

    When a guy came out for my washer, he did a good job. He knew exactly what the problem was, had the part, and fixed the washer right away. He was in and out in 30 minutes, which was pretty quick. The washer works great. I have another claim for the ice maker and that is a really bad experience. It is really frustrating. It still has not been resolved 16 months later. Because of this experience with the ice maker, we're assessing whether we will be keeping AHS' service.

    The technician that came out here was extremely knowledgeable and very thorough in his work. We were having electrical problems and problems with our smoke detector, carbon monoxide detectors, and he went through all 15 in our house and had found some that had loose wires. I had to turn the breaker off because our carbon monoxide detector just kept going off. Our smoke detectors are interconnected so when one went off, the whole system went off.

    As far as American Home Shield, our experience depends on what it is that we're dealing with, because certain things, they do really good on, and other things, they're not so great on. Once they identify that we've had a problem getting repair or service completed, they're really good about jumping all over that and making sure that it happens immediately.     There was a time when my water heater went out and that took a lot longer than I anticipated. The techs had to replace the water heater and I had to get approved. On AHS's site, it says that there are certain things that require more attention than others, like heating, cooling and hot water. My claim was handled slower than I thought it should have. Other than that, AHS has been consistent. My most recent issue occurred on a Sunday. I called American Home Shield and they had somebody already appointed. I called the contractor when they opened at 8 o'clock in the morning and they had me scheduled for that Monday afternoon. It took about 45 minutes for the tech to find the problem and hook me up right. If you buy a house, look at getting their coverage so you don't get surprised by all the repairs you have to do.

    I've had American Home Shield off and on, but I've been a customer for multiple years. I had them in my previous residence as well. Every time I call them with an appliance or any other issue, they definitely get back to me within one to three days. They are prompt when I put in a request. Like any home warranty though, it takes time to get the claim going.

    It says on the policy that they'll service you on the weekdays instead of the weekends and that's the only challenge that I have. Sometimes, the issue happens on the weekends or on a Friday, and I have to wait until the weekday for someone to call or someone to send a ticket out. Other than that, it’s good. One time, my furnace kept switching on and off, and it wasn't heating or performing the way it should. It wasn't even blowing any air in the vents.     My most recent claim with AHS was for our heating unit that quit. It was blowing air but wouldn't heat. I was really worried about the company because we live in a small area, and I had never heard of them. But they were wonderful. They came when they said they were going to come. I have wood floors and they put something down to protect the floors. It took them a while to do it, but they ended up having to change out the unit. But I don't think anybody else could have done it any faster.

    The unit was working fine when they were there. We were going to try to warm the house up before we went to bed but it didn't work. We panicked and called them the next morning. They said to call American Home Shield back. I was worried about that. I thought I'd be on hold forever, but they picked right up. They sent them back out.     We moved into this house six weeks ago. We had AHS at the previous house. So we called and we wanted to start up a new service. We had the first snap of cold weather and snow. I went out one day to get the shovel out of the garage and looked out the garage door, and there was an inch of snow on the heat pump plate. The heat pump blades were not moving.

    I called AHS and scheduled service. Steinmetz HVAC came out. This is a new house, we didn't know anything about it. So we didn't know that the thermostat had shut off the heat pump at 30 degrees outside because there wasn't enough heat in the air for it to work. He explained to us and I understood what it was. He was very gracious. He didn't make me feel like a dummy. While he was there, he looked over the system and he tested it out. The Freon levels were right on and everything was perfect. He did an excellent job.

    All my experiences with AHS had been good except for the last one where the guy who worked on the garage door ripped me off. One of the springs was broken and he told me American Home Shield didn't cover it. He told me the cost would be 500 but when I called someone else while he was there, the other garage company said they could do it for 400. And they only had to replace one spring, which really would be 200. When I told the tech that the other company would charge less than his price, he said they would still charge me for a service call. But he said he could take $50 off.

    He also told me it'd be best to replace both springs. But I told him that he didn't to replace both of them and to just replace one of them. In the end, he replaced both of them and he took the good spring when he left. Other than that, my husband went through the webpage to submit this claim with AHS and he finds it easier because one time, he said AHS kept him on the phone forever and he doesn't have that much time to spend on the phone. AHS has also fixed some things for me but I wouldn't recommend them because every time I would call, they keep telling me before they don't cover what I called for, then the techs would be there and I end up just paying them.

    The people from Maclin who came out were great. If I had a complaint, it would be about American Home Shield themselves. The initial claim was fine. It was when they reviewed it that they told me that it was denied. It was the way the young lady rep on the phone explained it. She was from somewhere other than the United States, and I couldn't understand her. That was a big part of it. And all she kept doing was reading a paragraph out of the contract instead of just putting it in layman's terms. I had to call MacLin to ask them what American Home Shield was talking about. The person I spoke with explained it in layman's terms, said that American Home Shield doesn't cover disposal of a hot water heater, they didn't cover code changes, and I have to pay for that out of pocket.

    The actual claim itself to replace the water heater was not denied, but the young lady on the phone kept telling me my claim was denied. It really wasn't. It was I had to pay more money than the $75 copay. She knew what she was talking about. She just couldn't tell me in plain language that part of the claim was not covered and tell me what it was. MacLin cleared it up right away. I don’t have a issue with it. If it's not covered, it's not covered. But I went round and round with the lady rep. I probably was on the phone with her for 45 minutes because she kept telling me my claim was denied and I wasn't getting a water heater. She should have said, “Your claim has been accepted for the water heater, but American Home Shield will not cover the extra cost of disposal and code changes.” She didn't know how to explain it correctly.

    The contractor's hands were tied because everything was based on waiting on American Home Shield. The thing went out on a Friday, and it was on Christmas Day. It was Monday before I even got a call back. Someone came out the next day. It was pretty fast. But then they had to sit and wait for the PO to be issued from American Home Shield after the fact. We had previously had a claim done years ago, and I don't remember it being a long-drawn-out process as it was this time. Then it's very frustrating for someone that's trying to get something done and someone does not speak clearly English and understand what they're trying to represent, especially I'm an older person. I don't have a lot of patience.

    We woke up one morning and our furnace wouldn't turn on. We called for a service requests and I was impressed. I had not had a good experience prior. But this time, it was more of an emergency situation since it was 20 degrees outside and we’re stuck in the house. Home Shield expedited the service. The agent understood that there was a safety issue with not having our furnace working. It was 7 o'clock in the morning and they kept me on the line as they were calling providers. They got me one right away. I was pretty happy with that and that made a huge difference for us. The contractor was really great and they reached out pretty quickly after the Home Shield got them engaged. Their guy was out that same day.

    The problem with the furnace is it is old. It was a wear and tear situation. There were problems with the wires that go to the front of the thermostat. The guy put on a different thermostat for us because ours is one of those fancy Nest ones that needs a certain kind of wire to it. The temporary thermostat is until we can get the wiring portion of the issue fixed. The temporary thermostat is working okay but it is not as nice as the Nest thermostat. Also, you can't change it when you're in your bedroom. I have to touch it with my hands and it’s awful. My understanding is that they're still working towards the solution to that issue.     It's been a good experience thus far and I'm very pleased with AHS. They have saved me lots of money. I've had to call twice and the first time was regarding a toilet. The plumber that came out was amazing. The most recent claim was regarding my kitchen sink. The garbage disposal was acting wonky and there seemed to be something clogging the kitchen drain. I put the claim in on Christmas Eve so I knew I wouldn't hear anything right off but I heard from them that Sunday. Everything was reasonable in the time that they got back to me. I was a little nervous because of some reviews I'd read, but it was very positive with the techs. They came in, had their masks on and they got right to it. They finished the job.

    Multiple Services came in and discovered that there was a circuit board or something else that was wrong with my heating unit and fixed it. The guy was very professional, wore a mask the entire time, and kept his social distancing. He did a great job.     I had an electrician look at my electrical plugs in the kitchen, he said I lost my neutral, I called AHS they refused to repair, can’t get a logical explanation why, seems like they are more than willing to replace a light bulb or something very easy, but when the problem is difficult they refuse to repair, before you buy READ the small print, and besides that the individual I spoke with on the phone could barely speak English, I had to ask her to repeat herself many, many times.

    I had new appliances put in and the appliance people were hooking up the icemaker. They noticed that the nail little tip part of the water valve was broken off and there were only two visible threads. They said they couldn't hook it up and that I needed to call a plumber out to put in a new water valve. I called American Home Shield and they sent out Myers. They had to cut out a portion of the sheetrock down to the baseboard to be able to get in there to unscrew the old water valve and re-tape it and put in a new one. Then they screwed the piece of sheetrock back in there. They said that it wouldn't be up to them to fix the sheetrock. Then American Home Shield sent me an email saying they were having trouble locating a contractor. They were willing to settle for $200 if I do it myself or find somebody to do it. I agreed to that. I sent the reply to the email yesterday back to them.

    I had another policy at my house in Auburn, Alabama that we just sold. I canceled that policy and still have the one intact up at our lake house where we're living now. It's been affordable. It basically pays for itself. I have three claims a year for something that's tearing up and I've been pleased with them. It's just trying times. People can't come out that day or the next day. It's always a week out so we had to buy a bag of ice for a week to keep in the freezer. But that was no big deal. It's all fixed now or in the process of being fixed.

    The only thing that surprised me was I had septic coverage the first year we had the lake house in 2017. The next year, we had some kind of septic issue that came up. I called American Home Shield and they said they only cover it for one year. It doesn't continue into the next policy even though it's the same price for the annual coverage. But that's been the only negative comment about them. I haven't had any septic issues since.

    I also had another issue that they wouldn't cover. The garbage truck ran over my waterline out front, about 100 feet from the house. They'll cover at the house and under the house but not 100 feet out. The garbage truck people ended up making good on it and fixed the broken waterline. I was just without water for a couple of days. All in all, we're satisfied with them. They're the number one rated company, so we'll hang with them.

    The warranty company has done a great job. I've had them for 19 years at my house. We used Nussbaumer before, but he’s great. He came in, resolved the issue fairly quickly. I go to the web page to submit claims. Customer service tends to take way too long on the phone. Nobody has that time to sit. But online is very easy. You fill it out the form online, you get a text message who your plumber is going to be with their contact information. And usually, you hear from the service provider the next day or if not, the same day.

    We get that there are demand calls and things like that. American Home Shield needs to expand their reach in some of the more rural areas. We have multiple properties, and we have HSA on two other properties. The one home is very rural. And it takes forever to get a contractor there because AHS doesn't have enough people to service the area. I would reach out to the local Realtors and find out who they would recommend. And then have somebody at AHS make the calls and say, “Hey, we're looking for a plumber to service this area. Are you interested in joining AHS or HSA? Or whatever it may be?” That's my suggestion.

    Also, because I've been a Realtor, there have been instances where you would think that something would be covered, but then it was not. Even though AHS provides that brochure to us, it's all in fine print. It's not very clear to the consumer on what is and is not covered. So, you've got consumers that come in, they're excited because they're buying their new home, they got a home warranty on it. For example, I had a customer that all of a sudden, the light above their kitchen sink started flickering within the first year of their homeownership. And AHS didn't cover the baluster that was required to make that repair.

    It's insignificant, but at the same time, what was the point of paying for this home warranty if it wasn't going to cover something as simple as a baluster. So there have been instances where it doesn't make any sense. There is no consistency. And in that particular instance, the customer went ahead and fixed it themselves and did not renew the policy. We need to pay more attention when a customer has the home warranty. Because the home warranty is usually purchased by the person that sold the property. The buyer usually doesn't make that investment when they're buying the house, it's the seller. But if the home warranty wants to keep that customer for the following year, they better at least cover their first request on when something is that goes wrong in their house. Otherwise, they will not see the value and they will not renew it.

    American Home Shield has done a great job of taking care of problems that have arisen in my home. Submitting claims with them has been fairly easy. I’m kind of old-fashioned and I like to call them for that. But I know that there's an option online and I have signed up for an account. Recently, they sent out a tech from Budget Electric and he was very nice. He was very professional, on time, knowledgeable and had great skill. He was also courteous and he followed COVID guidelines. Other than that, when I would call AHS, sometimes there would be a long wait to get through on the phone. I can't remember if they have this system that calls you back but in general, I have found that to be a really good customer service feature with companies. If they don't have it, I would recommend getting that as a a way to cut down the frustration from people with long waits with phone calls.

    The company stand by their warranty and the work order will be completed in a timely manner. However, if they have to order parts it will be almost a month before it is fixed. I had my dishwasher and now my forced air furnace worked on and I placed the work order on Dec 20 2020 and it have not been repaired. It is now Jan 13 2021 and the current status is still pending parts.

    I had an issue with the icemaker in our fridge. I went online to American Home Shield's website and got the number and then I called the number online. That process was really good and pretty easy. It was pretty seamless. It seemed like they took care of everything really well. The guy who came out was really great. He was super knowledgeable about it. He came out once and he did the evaluation, knew within just a few minutes that the part needed to be replaced, and then he had the part ordered and sent to us. He came back in about a week later after the part showed up and got it installed for us. So, it went very well. So far, so good. He told us what we needed to do with like the first day of making sure that we dump out the first couple of ice just to make sure that it was cleaning out all the dust and stuff from the manufacturer, and then after that everything should be good, and that was what we did. Everything has been running really well.

    The repair worked out really well. It ended up saving us quite a lot of money because if we were to replace the fridge, it would have been about a $2,000 expense, and we only ended up spending about 110 bucks. So, that was very nice. We've been with American Home Shield for a while and it gives us that security that if things go wrong, we have that. It gives us a little bit of a peace of mind. That’s usually what we tell people when we talk about it.

    We had a stoppage in the main line that was outside of the house and we ordered an emergency service when we got there. We knew that it needed to be cameras, but we had to run through American Home Shield's whole process with their contractor before we got to that stage through them. The contractor snaked the main line a couple times. It helped, but it wasn't resolving the problem, so they came back and did it again. It did good and then they realized that there were some additional issues. They ordered a camera and saw where the blockage was. They got a heavy duty water sprayer and sprayed it in there. Thus far, the main line is in good shape.

    The only thing that is inconvenient with the claims process is we don't stay in that home that the policy is associated to. We're only there every now and then, so when we have an issue, we need more of an emergency service. That's not how it's set up, but they tried and I contacted them directly. Plus, we have an individual that works for Home Shield, and I've had close ties with him in trying to get things resolved in a bit quicker fashion. Everybody's been very courteous and trying to get us taken care of when they understand our necessity.

    It just so happened that we closed on our house, and the contract hadn't quite been processed. Calling the number associated to the warranty is absolutely useless. I was really mad 'cause I could not even understand this lady. She was refusing to help me and then she told me that there was a waiting period and all this other stuff. The information that I was given was completely false though. Not utilizing that answering service is my number one tip. You have to file online 'cause they're not helpful at all.

    We've called AHS twice or three times and we usually don’t have an issue. Recently, ATR Heating and Cooling came out, looked at the unit and said everything looked fine. They replaced the capacitor. The inspector came out and said there were some issues with the fan so we are having them to come back out to look at it. It hasn’t gone smoothly.

    We have a property manager and we gave ATR their phone number. They were supposed to call our property manager before they get there because the house is vacant and we wanted our property manager to be there. But we didn't hear from them until they were at the property. They were calling my wife who was at work. Our property manager didn't even know that they were there. By the time we tried to scramble to get somebody there, they left because they didn't wanna wait there for 10, 15 minutes. They rescheduled and we've done this three times. They came out yesterday and called saying they were there at the property. It happened again this morning. I don't know who's talking to who exactly ‘cause I was calling AHS and ATR and the property manager was calling ATR. They don’t seem like they are very well-organized.

    A plumber came for an issue with my dryer and he was fine. It's just I had to wait about a week. I was also a little disappointed in what the plumber did. There's a knob where the water comes in to the washing machine. He just tightened the screw. I thought he would replace the knob. The dryer is already broken again and it's not heating. I called and the plumber came out and fixed it. It ran for a while but it quit the day before yesterday.

    Having American Home Shield is beneficial as I don't have to go out and look for a plumber. We are new to the area. We don't know the tradesmen here like we did back at home. The claim process is easy but you don't ever get to talk to a person. In the case of my dryer breaking down, I would like to talk to a person to see what to do about that.

    The insurance company keeps going up on the payment amounts every few months. The overall services was less than what you should expect when talking to a service agent like some of representatives have a bad phone presentation. Had to argue with one of the agents about people that was sent out to our home because the service person was not ready and able to do the job at hand. We had a emergency with heating in the weekend and the person came without proper tools then said he would return in two days. Had to pay out of pocket and funds paid was never reimbursed even after the agent said the funds would be returned so the service was canceled. Would not recommend this company.

    The HVAC system, a very brand new one, was installed in July 2019. After that, it was making noises and I was having a lot of condensation and water dripping. I went through American Home Shield and filed a claim online. It was very simple though I was not expecting to pay $100. But that's fine. The first people who came out were two gentlemen. They looked at my system and they didn't wanna touch it. They knew what they were doing but my problem was a little more complicated than they could handle so they referred me to NOVA-HVAC.     There was leaking in the kitchen garbage disposal of one of my rentals. It took a very long time for the contractor to come up partially because the tenant was unavailable. Since they came out, the tenant claims Sometimes, the contractor they assign me doesn't have good experience with my issue. There are some contractors that are very good and others that are not that good. Some are very hard to get a hold of. So, I would want a different company assigned. But, I don't think there's a way to do that. It would be nice to have a choice to choose a different company. I would not proactively recommend AHS. But, if you want a home warranty, they are better than the other company I tried before.

    Doing claims to American Home Shield was a little cumbersome in the beginning. When I just moved in, there were several issues. They couldn't find a locksmith to come out. I have a different key for every door and I wanted a locksmith to come out to have one key for all doors. It was just maddening. I found my own and they reimbursed me. Then I had a couple other issues. It was much easier this time though with the furnace. My husband was with the repair guy and he said the guy was very professional and polite, and everything was very good.

    When we lived in Chesterfield, Michigan, we always had someone come out every other year and checked our furnace because we didn't want anything to happen in the winter. We’ve only been at the house a year and a half and according to the guy, the furnace looked like it lacked maintenance. So, I was glad I called and had him come out. Everything seems to be working well.

    I was very skeptical in the beginning with American Home Shield. It was hard to get ahold of people. I had gotten charged a couple times and double charged. I thought, “Oh, my gosh. This is going to be a quack of a home warranty.” But it seems like they've gotten better. At this point, I don't have any complaints. I'm glad that it wasn't like I originally thought. They were telling me I didn't have something covered. I said, “No, because I paid the extra $100 to get the ShieldPlus.” If I hadn't said that and known and read my contract, I wouldn't have got my dishwasher. So it's like they were trying to do the least.

    They should know their own product. “Oh, yes. It looks like you have Home ShieldPlus and that does cover it.” But they were ready to say, “Nope. We don't cover that. Goodbye.” I was not happy with that. But they honored it. They couldn't fix my dishwasher because it was a Magic Chef. I never even heard of a Magic Chef. It didn't have the cup that puts the soap in it to wash the dishes. They said it's so old, they didn't have a replacement for it. So, they gave me a new dishwasher, which was great.

    My experience with American Home Shield is good. I'm very pleased with the two issues I had. The most recent one was for the air conditioner. It was very easy making a claim and the tech who came to look at it was really good. He did some things that hadn’t been done. I have a unit inside in the attic and one outside. I've been in the condo for about one year now. Hardly anything was done to the outside unit. The tech replaced a few things there and said they were bad.

    My main issue was the sheet metal pan underneath had a rust spot in it. The previous guy that came out to inspect it said I might wanna watch out for that because he didn't know how long that was gonna come out to be a hole. Eventually, that rust would start disintegrating. I've got a bigger problem because it was leaking in the attic. The tech said it seemed to be good but he said that the only issue might be if the air compressor goes out or the Freon starts to go out. He gave me some pointers on it and checked it out.

    The was also a guy who came out and fixed my refrigerator. Water was leaking inside the cooling part of the refrigerator. All the guy did was to defrost it because where the excess water runs out, there were some particles that had frozen in there. That was why the water was leaking out. It didn’t take the guy 20 minutes at the max to fix the problem.

    My friend was in American Home Shield and he referred me. I got the contract through the referral program and we are supposed to get an Amazon gift card for the referral fee, but we didn't get it so far. Other than that, my experience has been good. When we took a shower on the second floor, the water was leaking and it was coming to the ground floor. We called American Home Shield then the plumber came in and he did well. The first time he came, he saw the issue, said something needed to be replaced and then he went back. After some time, he came back and replaced it. Things have been functioning fine after that.

    We happen to like Home Shield and we tell all our friends that when they buy their homes, they should get that company. The deductible is a little high, but they are amazing.     I've been with American Home Shield for a long time too. You would think they would treat long-term customers better, but they wouldn't. But I have not dropped them because I would rather have the protection that I'm paying for. When you deal with them, they call out people that may not know. So when I had a problem with my fireplace and I realized that they didn't do it, you wouldn't know sometimes until you were reaching out to them. So it would slow you down. When we had a plumbing issue where the bathroom's clogged and the water in one of the commodes kept rising, A plumber came out and didn't fix anything. He said that he sent a drainpipe through but he couldn't ever tell what came through and if anything was clogging it up. I had to call them in a year if it happened again.

    I like the convenience of having a warranty on everything but I do not like the inconvenience of having to wait all the time. The claims submission has been simple enough. But sometimes, it would take AHS a minute to get the people out here and you'd start questioning whether you could have just called somebody on your own. At my rent house, we had called American Home Shield and the people might not have gotten there for a month. So I had to give my renters a little bit of a discount because it took so long to get someone out there. But my rent house is in East Texas, so they may not have people closer. Here in my primary home, American Home Shield has had people come when we've called. But I don't like that the fee keeps going up because I don't know if the people that American Home Shield uses for the services are top-notch either.

    American Home Shield tells you that they cover everything if you get the largest plan so you get the largest plan, but then they start telling you what's not covered. I don't like that. One of the primary reasons I got American Home Shield was that it covered air conditioning. I did not realize that my rental home is an older home, so it had unit air conditioning as opposed to the central air in my primary home. I thought that when it said air conditioning, it was air conditioning. But they meant central and that wasn't made clear. So they should make sure that people are clear with their coverage. I have two homes on American Home Shield and I pay the same amount of money to cover them. But because my rental home is a little older than my primary home, I can't figure out if it is worth it for me to have the two homes covered when they are telling me that I'm not going to get half the service.

    I had a company come out because the washing machine was making a funny noise and it was leaving oil spots on the clothes. The company who came out said, “Oh, you need a transmission.” I had to wait a month for them to get the part. Then they came back and they fixed it. The washing machine was still making a funny noise. But I had to wait another three weeks. They came back and they replaced a shock. Then it was quiet for a little while and it started making the noise again. Then they wouldn’t come back out. I had to open another claim and another company came out. They replaced an agitator, but now it seems to be running fine.

    The people that were just here were great. The only problem I had with them is it took almost a month to get the part. But I think that's kind of a US problem right now with shipping and mailing. Some things are taking forever, some things are coming right away. So far, the machine’s working great. It's not making funny noises and it's not putting oil on the clothes. So, they did a good job. Generally, I’m happy with with American Home Shield. I just think with COVID, communication has been not as expeditious as it used to be because so many people are working remote or their workforce is reduced.

    We have a gas fireplace. We've used it before, but we had a very strong burning smell and the smoke detectors went off. So, we asked them to come out and inspect it and see what was going on.     Our water heater ruptured and we had a leak. This happened on a Thursday in the middle of the night and I filed the claim Friday morning. Once American Home Shield gave us the number for whoever our contactor was going to be, we called them instead of waiting for them to call us. They were out within two hours. They got approval around noon and everything was resolved by the afternoon. We were very surprised at how pleasant the experience was because we were concerned that we would be without hot water for many days.

    This claim with our water heater was a very positive experience. For other experiences, it might vary by category. Plumbing and leakage are concerns that must be resolved immediately. So far, the plumbing stuff has been really good. But some of the other appliance stuff have not been as good of an experience. It really depends on who you get as a contractor.

    Another thing with American Home Shield is that being able to process the claim online is super slick. But the wait times for calling in and speaking to someone are the worst things on the planet. The wait time can be more than an hour sometimes. And when you have to listen to that music over and over for an hour and you're trying to work, it's just awful. If there is any way to enhance the call center, that would be great. Those issues aside, it's nice to have that peace of mind when something does go wrong even if you're gonna pay a little bit more for a home warranty.

    DT Electric fixed the heater on a rental property of mine and everything went well. I haven't had any problems with American Home Shield so I'll continue to use them. It's pretty simple to submit a claim because I can log in and make the request. They have 48 hours to respond. So if something happens on a Friday, you may not hear anything back until Monday. But I haven't run into that problem.

    My Ecobee said that my heater wasn't working. So I had the Weatherwise technician come out that morning and fix it right away. He explained everything to me and he did a great job. I was super happy with the way he handled it. I found the claim submission with American Home Shield to be simple. But I wasn't super psyched about my issue back in November with my washer because it flooded my whole place. The guy who came to fix it said he thought the issue was with the sensor that would say when it was full but he wasn't sure. He replaced it, ran it twice, and said he still wasn't sure and he was nervous about me using it. He couldn't say that it was a total loss because he supposedly was able to fix it, but he wasn't even sure if that was the issue in the beginning. So I'm not super happy about that.

    Right off, let me just say that up until the last couple of days I have been a pretty happy and satisfied customer of over 30 years. It takes a lot to get me to even consider changing after this long. It takes even more to get me to write out a review like this. Recent events lead me here because I feel that AHS doesn't value its customers, so I am investigating alternatives. If a problem is fairly straightforward and can be remedied through the first service company they assign, there are very few problems and you'll likely be very happy. If issues arise, dealing with their "customer service" department is an experience that would make you wish you could only experience the service level of the DMV in Soviet Russia.

    On November 20, I submitted a claim to have a leaking washing machine repaired. A couple day later, techs arrived to service it. After looking at it for about an hour, they couldn't find the source of the leak, so they said to use it and call back if it leaked again. A few days later, there was another puddle under the washer so we called them back out. They came out and said the leak was from a seal on the bottom of the tub. They ordered parts and came back a couple days later to install them. They said they couldn't test because a sealant they used had to cure overnight.

    Next day all seemed well. At first. Later on after a few loads of backed-up laundry, there was a LAKE under the washer. Called them back out. Their current diagnosis is a different seal that they had removed to be able to make the previous repair. They said they would order parts and come back to install. This was December 20. I called a couple days later to try to find out when the installation of these parts could be made. I was told they would arrive on 17 January (!!!!!). Fine. Whatever.

    Jan 17 comes and goes. No call, so I call them. Apparently, one part had been delivered, but I(!) would need to talk to the parts dept to find out about the other(s). Almost 2 hours on hold later, I give up. After cooling down a while I call back. This CSR tells me she'll talk to the parts dept for me and someone will call back either later that afternoon or the following morning.

    At about 3:30 the following afternoon (today) I called back to try and find out what's going on. After some research, this CSR discovers the part we're waiting on is on backorder and will be delivered in 3-5 WEEKS. That would mean this saga would continue for another month. I asked to escalate the issue. She told me she would have a "line supervisor" call me back in, you guessed it, "later today or in the morning". I asked to talk with one right then, which just about every other company, no matter the industry, could do. She said they have no way to contact one and no way to transfer me because they do not have that ability.

    Back and forth, back and forth for a while and I give up. Cool down a bit, then I look to see if there's an alternate contact method. The "Contact Us" links on the webpage all point to the useless phone number I have now called three times and wasted over four hours on or a chat line. Chat it is. Twenty minutes later, a new CSR replies. We go through the saga yet again.

    Find out that the part has an availability date of Jan 22. Fantastic! I thought. I was wrong. That was the ship date from the supplier. Transport is apparently by camel caravan via Marrakesh, because the transit time is estimated at... three to five weeks. I could walk there and return with it in less time than that. I why they can't just stick it in the mail as this is a pretty small part, but, alas they can't because that apparently falls under "expediting" which Is. Against. Guidelines.

    So, now tonight at 7:00pm an utterly useless "line supervisor" finally calls. This person serves no useful purpose from what I can tell because all he did was tell me exactly what the CSR told me and was not even acting the slightest bit interesed in helping solve the problem. It was as if his metrics were very heavily weighted toward getting through as many calls as possible in the shortest amount of time. I could tell this from the start, so I asked to escalate since he was utterly unwilling to do anything. He asked me "To who?", to which I replied his boss. He said that his boss was not taking customer calls which left me floored. How can a manager or supervisor in customer service not take customer calls. He told me they wouldn't be able (willing?) to do anything. I asked if there was anyone in the company that was interested in its customers and if I could talk to that person.

    I was told that his boss' boss all the way up to the owner did not take customer calls. I told him his processes were broken if he or anyone else couldn't approve $30 to expedite a part to resolve a problem that had been going on for two months for a customer of 30 YEARS. He defended them even after I explained to him that in most (almost all?) other companies, line CSR's were authorized for far more than that and that it usually took minutes for an escalation to happen, which was rare because things seldom reached that point. He did not care and told me he couldn't do anything and to have a good evening (they can't even blow you off very well). I then told him he should reconsider where he works, although given his attitude, it may be the only place that would have him.

    I would recommend AHS especially for a new home where you don't know some of the unreliability as far as appliances go. Recently, JJK HVAC was sent and the techs came in wearing masks. They put on booties and didn’t track any mud. Their visit was brief. They gave their diagnosis, what parts to expect and the expected arrival time for it. They're coming back on Friday to install the part and fix the unit at that time.

    I have two problems. One is the oven, another is the microwave. Both are GE components. So when a GE person came in, he only came once and checked both but I was charged twice. So I was like, “Why did I get charged twice?” Because, they said, it was a different service request. That didn't make any sense. I called the helpdesk and they said they will request.

    But there is one thing I really want to get taken care of. The oven is taken care of already. I got the replacement done. But the microwave is still not fixed it. I have been living without a microwave. It’s not functioning for a month now. When I called initially, they said it is in the backorder. And that model number, when I saw the model number on GE, it is available for checkout. But how come the company does not have it available for checkout? I didn't understand that part. Now, they told me that the microwave will not be ordered and is not available until February 22nd. So how did that mismatch came? I'm really confused about that.

    Recently, the first floor is very cold. And upstairs was extremely hot. It has been like that for a couple of months. I went online. I did not know whether to choose gas or this or that. All these names are very confusing to me. I'm not knowledgeable in that area. So, I stopped looking online, and I just called the phone number. I explained the situation, then that guy just sad, “Okay, well, then this is the option.” He chose that and scheduled a ticket for me on my behalf. The contractor came and the tech saw what was happening. I did not replace the air filter so he told me to do it. Once I did it, it fixed the problem.

    I had a good experience with American Home Shield. They did what they were supposed to do and what they said they were gonna do, so I got no complaint. The claim was just for a plumbing job that I needed done. They sent a plumber, he took care of the issue, and that was the end of it. He was very courteous and didn't take too long.     The man who fixed the dishwasher seemed to know what he was doing. It’s working good now. But the process took pretty long. The man came on December 29 and he said it needed a new pump. But I didn't hear from December 29th if I could get anything ordered until after the first of the year. But I tried to be patient due to the holiday. A different man came back and put in the pump. He turned the dishwasher on and ran it through a cycle before he left. It ran through that cycle fine.

    The service from Wright Refrigeration was great. The tech knew what he was gonna do. He opened the refrigerator in front of me and he was explaining why it was not getting cold. He showed me where the ice was all built up. It just seemed less than 10 minutes to get the whole thing done. Then, he said he was gonna order a part and come back. In the next couple of days, he came back with the part and he changed the whole thing. Overall, I’ve never even experienced a long hold time with American Home Shield, even during the pandemic.     The claim was for sink stoppage and the toilets were leaking. You just fill out your problem on the website, and then American Home Shield will assign a company to you. The contractor came out and did it. They are always really good. A lot of vendors don't like AHS because they undercut the prices. But as a consumer, I can't live in a house without it. This summer, they replaced both of our hot water heaters because they went out. They fix or replace any appliance in your house. And it does cover air conditioning. In 2020 alone, they sent contractors out eight times for different things. Refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, those kind of things. And they even fixed the spigot on the faucet that is outside of our house. They're my handyman. The companies that AHS send out, if they're not good, then AHS is good about sending another company out at no cost to fix it.

    It’s a monthly charge. And it keeps going up every year. My husband hates that. But it's fix or replace. So if they can't fix it, or they can't get parts for it, they offer you money for the replacement of the item that you have in your house. And then you can just get that cash and upgrade if you want or buy the same exact item. They replaced our hot water heaters with the exact item. It would have cost us $1,500 to buy each hot water heater. It was $75 to fix or replace. So since it's a monthly charge too, it's not exactly 75. But it's better than the $3,000 it would have cost us. If you own a home, you should get AHS.

    The claims process was pretty simple. But most of the techs in my area who come out try to swindle us out of more money. If you're not reading the contract correctly, you don't even know what's going on. The techs would just be charging you money and not really fulfilling their duties of what they actually said they were gonna do. We were thinking about canceling American Home Shield because of some issues we've had in the past. But this last experience actually bumped it up. Thermodynamics has been by far the best. Their tech came out, looked at my stuff, and checked everything that could be wrong with it. He made his diagnosis, got the part in, repaired that, built her up, and got me my heat back working.     There was a crack in the plumbing mechanism and the plumber that AHS sent out facilitated a warranty through the manufacturer. So we're really happy with that. For this claim, I went to the webpage of AHS and the submission process was easy. Then, the tech who came out was good and pleasant. But the work is not yet 100% complete. He contacted the manufacturer and the manufacturer is going to be sending out the part. He told us to contact the Price Right Plumbing and Drain Cleaning when that is complete. So it's really not any of his fault and we're just waiting on the part from the manufacturer. But he was able to get all that done within a few hours.

    Other than that, I’ve submitted several things to AHS and in most instances, I’ve been happy. One time, I had a service call for a plumbing issue on our second floor and the plumbers were never able to find the leak. So we had to go through different contractors in order to be able to find where the leak was coming from. But American Home Shield refunded my money for that service call. All in all, they are fair regarding replacement and with getting contractors out timely. So they're a good organization.

Once they pointed it out to me, I thought, “Oh, I should read this more carefully.” I had a claim for the garage door. The tech worked on the motor, and he had to adjust the door because it had gotten out of adjustment. Everything is great. He did a really good job. The only thing is he had a mask on, but it would stay under his nose. My husband is 81 and I'm 79, so I was a little bit concerned about that.     Central Vacuums Master came recently and they were great. But for the washing machine claim, it was a nightmare. The parts that were needed essentially pretty much have rebuilt the whole machine. So, I inquired about a cash-out option. In the meantime, they ordered a part, but the ETA was a month later. The washing machine went down in mid to end November. The parts weren't gonna be in until the end of December. Nobody communicated that to me. I had to make all of the phone calls to figure out what was going on. I was told to contact the service providers, that was waiting for the part to be delivered to them, to make sure that they got the part back and they would ship them back in order for the cashout process to continue.

    Then in the meantime, my husband and I bought another washing machine and I notified them of that. They said that I would need to send proof of purchase in for the cashout process. On December 16th, I emailed the proof of purchase to AHS POR. I got confirmation that the information was received. When I called back to find out what the status of it was, I was told that they had not received my proof of purchase and to send it to AHS. Everybody had put me on hold at a minimum of about an hour, while they review the records of what was going on, transferred me here and there for somebody to try to help me.

    I continuously called back every three weeks to find out what was happening with the cashout, what information was needed. As soon as I was given a second email address, I forwarded the same email, so that it would be on record that I was forwarding it. When I called back, they said they were processing the orders or the entries that had been submitted by day. The day that they had versus December 16th when I initially sent in. They said that I had to wait for them to get to what was in the queue for January 6th. Which is when I had called back and they gave me the second one. I was really frustrated. So, I'd call back again to find out what the status was.

    The first line of customer service representatives that I got pretty much knew nothing. Their system didn't have the information that I had already previously sent. That particular level of service has been outsourced to another country. Sometimes, there's a language barrier. However, they were very kind. I never cursed at anybody or screamed at anybody. But I let them know how happy or unhappy I was with the process and how I was being treated.

    Last night, I called back again once I was given another phone number by another representative day before yesterday. You can't get these numbers when you first call. You have to sit on hold and talk to somebody else and somebody else. I pressed the option for them to call me back. But I never got a phone call back. A young man asked me the same information. He said, “I'm sorry. This is the wrong department.” I said, “That's neither here nor there for me. Because this is the number that I was called, and the correct department should have answered the phone versus you telling me it's only so much you can do. Because it's not your department. I selected the Appliances section. I said this is for the washing machine." I was like, “This claim is as old as November. I sent in the information that was requested of me back in December. I had been asked for it more than one time now. I’ve been told it’s in the queue.”

    Finally, he transferred me and gave me the phone number to the Appliance area. He said they had their own section to do this. So, I was on the phone for an hour. When someone finally answered the phone, she asked me the whole history again. She had to put me on hold, so she could look at it again. Came to find out, it had not been processed. She said that she processed it herself last night, and it has been there since December 16th. Then, she said I have to wait until another 21 business days to get my check. But the technician that was sent out to check the washing machine was great. He was on the floor and was doing his thing. Even when I called them, they did fine. But AHS really dropped the ball with the process for a cashout. It's been pretty pleasant with AHS from 2002 till now. This has been my worst experience.

    We also had an issue with the tankless water heater. Some of the plumbers couldn't work on tankless water heaters. But they don't know that until I called them. But I put that information in and a lot of times I would call in if something was wrong with the tankless water heater. That was a nightmare, too. We had to end up getting it replaced.

    Most of the contractors that American Home Shield now sends out suck. They are trifling as can be. They're neither skilled nor professional. Years ago, that was not the case. American Home Shield used to be good. I've had them for years and if you had something that if you had to call out on two or three times, they'd replace it. I had my refrigerator as well as my air conditioning unit done. But now, they're awful.

    I've got two homes. The guy I called for my Columbia home to fix the washing machine had to look on YouTube or Google to figure out how to fix it. Then he said there was nothing he could do and left. Now, the washing machine sometimes will cycle out improperly. It gets even better than that. The company that was sent out for my house in Florence was awful. I lost my tenant. What happened was the air conditioning unit in the second story of the house kept going out and American Home Shield kept sending the same people. They didn't fix it and it leaked. But they didn't tell the tenant nor their employer that it was leaking. We called them and they came back and painted to cover the water leak. The thing still leaked. Six months later, water damage has spread from the leak where the unit was over into a closet and a portion of the ceiling fell in. It cost me $1,000 deductible and it also cost my insurance company because I had to file a claim.

    American Home Shield should stop changing the contract numbers. Every time I call, they say, "We can't find it but since I've got you on the phone, Imma give a new contract number." Why is the contract number a piece that constantly changes and the people they get don't know what the contract is? Also, if you call after hours, why do you end up in some foreign country talking to somebody who can't even speak English. You can hear chickens and cows. The other thing is they send out poorly-trained and insufficient technicians. The technicians will tell you even if the item is beyond repairable, "You better not tell American Home Shield that. Otherwise they'll terminate our contract." Their understanding is they need to patch it, patch it, patch it to make sure that American Home Shield doesn't pull their contract.

    I had a handyman in that I found off of Facebook. He told me I had six leaks under the house and major issues, and that he could fix it for a couple $1,000. I thought, "You know, I don't believe him, and he's not going to be cheaper than a call." Because he was local. He's a young kid. He needed the work. And I thought I just wouldn't call Home Shield. I would just fix it. But thought, "Well, I better call Home Shield."

    I called them and they sent this nice plumber out from Anacortes. His name was Richard. When I answer the door, I have a mask on. He already had his mask on. He took off his shoes. He looked and looked and gave me a full accounting of what was under the house. He said it was as dry as his bone, and these other issues don't exist. And he fixed something. There was a laundry list of stuff the kid said was broken. And the kid had turned off the cold water to the master bath and I didn't know it. And then, after the kid left, the toilet overflowed. I don't know if he was just trying to make work for himself. Richard was too professional to say that, but it was pretty clear.

    I used the other bathroom another night, and then the second night, I went back in the master bathroom and there was no hot water. It was a couple of weeks because Richard said something about sometimes it takes Home Shield a while to get back. But they will, and he will always get back to me. He meant there were some issues he needed to take care of.

    I called back to Home Shield and I said, "I thought you guys were gonna get back out." And they said, "No, no, case is closed." I said, "I'm really confused." And they said, "Well, let us call Richard." I'm 60 minutes from the Canadian border. Richard drove all the way back up here, looked at it and it was the faucet under the sink. If I had known that was all it was, or if he had told me, "Just do that," I would have done it. But he made the trip up, he turned it on. And we talked about water purifiers and he gave me some tips. Nicest guy in the world. So, I felt horrible. I don't even know if he got paid for that second trip.

    A lot of men, you think it's bad how they treat you when you're young but it gets worse when you get older, especially repairmen, mechanics and plumbers, but Richard wasn't that way. It was such a positive experience. I thought they would just do the minimum. I've owned homes before, but it was really a good resolution. I wish the guy was closer. I felt so bad that he drove all the way from Anacortes. But if it's a choice between having somebody subpar and having Richard, I would always go back to him.

    I had my garage door and gate worked on. For the gate, I forgot about the warranty with AHS. That was the first thing I fixed and after the techs gave me a receipt, I thought I needed to send it in. So I did. Then, I called about the garage door and I used the warranty on the garage door. I am still waiting on my claim for the gate, but the tech that AHS sent out fixed my garage door. The problem with it was the button on the wall that was connected to the wiring just stopped working. I took off the plastic outer part to try to push the the interior button because I thought maybe it was just that the plastic was not connecting to the little button, and it still would not work. The tech ended up putting what is essentially a remote up onto the wall so that I can push it to open the garage door but he didn't hook one up to the wiring. He repaired it that same day and it's working well now.

    I've had some issues with my AC and each time I spoke to a representative, they all had a different answer. If the reps were to just be able to pull up one screen and be able to read all the notations about a certain work order number, that may make it a little easier. Because I've even asked for the same company to come out before because I liked how they run the company and I liked how pleasant the people are that come out to the house and then it was a totally different company that came out.

    To let our garage door up, we would have to get out of the car no matter what it was and push the button. Then if we'd try to push the button for it to go back down, it would never do that. It'd just go right back up. We'd have to hold it for it to go all the way down and then it’d close. So what the guy from Just Pro Garage Doors did was make sure that the sensors on each side of the garage were in alignment.     The guy fixed the garage door quickly. Also, he was extremely helpful in giving me advice on how it could've possibly gotten the sensors not aligned with one another. He was telling us to be more mindful when we would be coming into the garage. Like if we were coming with the lawnmower or something like that, it could have hit the sensor and knocked it out of line with the one that was on the other side of the garage. He was extremely professional.

    One way that the guy was actually helpful to me was when no one could be at the house that day but needed to come out and let him into the garage. I just had a chemo treatment and I was kind of sick a little bit. But behind the garage, there was some actual snow. He saw me grab the shovel to try and shovel. But he told me to hand him the shovel and he actually shoveled the snow that was in front of the garage for me. It made me feel so good that he was that nice. He didn't have to do any of that for me but he went above and beyond what anyone would've done. He was truly awesome. He made me feel like I was actually important. I've had American Home Shield before and they are awesome back then, and they are awesome now. I would always have it.

    My tub and my kitchen sink had issues. I submitted a claim with AHS and they both seem to be working fine since the guy changed things out. Before that, I was calling to get my tub serviced every four months, so they finally switched it off and I'm hoping in the next four months it doesn't clog back up where I have to call again. Other than that, the guy who came out was really nice. His name was Scott and he was informative. He told me everything he was doing step-by-step. All in all, having AHS has been beneficial to me because majority of time, I don't have the money for a plumber to come out. With them, I just to pay that fixed rate knowing that I can come up with $100. But it will be hard for me to come up with $300 or $400 to get something fixed. They also usually return a phone call.     I got no heat since last week Friday. American Home Shield had some trouble finding a technician at first and they found one and he came by. The first time that the technician came by, he said he fixed it. It worked for an hour and then he came back again. He asked why we turned the heat off and I told him that we hadn’t turned it off. It just went out as the temperature was decreasing. Then he said that he had to get a part. The part came in and it was put in. But the unit still doesn’t work. I was told that a technician would be out today but didn’t show up. The issue is not resolved yet so I don’t have a very good experience.

    The repair guy was good for unclogging the drain but the other issue I had was with a boost pump and he didn't have the technical expertise to provide me any kind of insight or solution for that. I processed the claim with American Home Shield for the clogged drain and I knew that was covered. But some of the things in the home that we have were not covered. AHS is beneficial to use as an insurance policy but there wasn’t necessarily expectations set up on whether or not my issue was going to be covered by the warranty. Our heating system is a fully zoned in-floor radiant heat system and AHS rejected one of the claims because the zoning is not covered as part of the warranty claim. If my zoning system isn't working, I don't have heat in my house. But the problem was an easy enough solution that I could fix it myself for a relatively low cost.

    We have dealt with them for years. It once took about three months to get our air fixed in the hottest part of the summer. Then about two months to get our heat fixed in the coldest part of the winter. They sent out of state people, and people who didn’t know what they were doing. The breaking point finally came when a crack developed in our water closet and they said it was not normal wear and tear, even though it was 50 years old. Enough is enough. We cancelled our contract. They are not the only game in town, just among the worst in our experience.

    We had a garbage disposal issue. I put in a ticket that evening and the next morning, a person was out there to fix it. The problem was resolved then. We stayed out of the room and let the guy do his thing in the kitchen. He wore a mask and wiped his feet before he came in. He washed his hands too. On the whole, I was very satisfied with the timeframe. American Home Shield works and it does what it's supposed to. It was done quickly and it was convenient.

    The technicians who came for my dishwasher were very friendly and courteous. They came out with their mask too. If they needed to go, they would ask permission to exit the house and come back. We have a gated area so I had to open the gates for them to go out. A lot of them don’t like to bring their working truck inside my property.

    One tech asked if there had been any parts replaced and I told him one part was replaced. A second part was supposed to be replaced but it wasn't so technicians came out a second time. They changed the second part but they couldn't get the dishwasher to work. The tech took everything apart. He cleaned up his area. Everything’s working pretty good now. I'm glad American Home Shield was able to get someone else out here and get my issue resolved.

    I’ve been with AHS for two years and I’m satisfied. The only thing is that they need to get more contracts because it takes forever to get ahold of some of them or they don’t even bother calling you. If they are unable to get ahold of me, they leave a message. Once I tried to reach them, the phone just rings and nobody picks it up. You try to leave a voicemail and the voicemail is either full or not set up. They don't even answer their texts. It’s hard. It’s like playing cat and mouse. That aside, I'm happy with American Home Shield and I recommend them.

All I had to do was go through the website and American Home Shield made it really easy for them to identify what was needed to be done and for them to assign a contractor to us. At one time, when I had a claim, I was able to call and tell them that I had a number that I wasn't able to access a phone number and they called the contractor for me, got everything set up and the contractor contacted me directly.     My friend has American Home Shield, and she recommended them to me. The second time, when I had to call about my refrigerator, it was a bit better. I called because the door wouldn’t close. They had somebody out the next day. It was perfect. But the first time with the plumbing was the worst experience I've ever had. I had a leak so I called American Home Shield. I called them on Friday. I didn’t get a plumber here until Tuesday. It took another four days to get it fixed. I was without water. They kept telling me how they understood my situation.     My water heater stopped working on me, and then I had someone come in and look at it, and he said that I was going to need a new water heater because that one didn't want to work anymore. Nobody could get it to turn on anymore. To file the claim, I called American Home Shield. I called them plenty of times because they were sending me to a place in San Antonio, which is eight hours away. Then they had to do something because that place wouldn't come out. They had to call somebody else. It was like three times before American Home Shield got me somebody that was close enough.

    The contractors were great. They did a good job. It just took American Home Shield forever to get me somebody. My water heater went out on like a Thursday and I didn't get anybody to come out here until the next Wednesday. But when they came out, they did it in one day. It was awesome. So far, American Home Shield is good, but they could be better if they take into consideration those of us who live in smaller areas. Some of us live in a rural area and we don't live by big cities.

    I've been very pleased with American Home Shield. They're on the ball. They got someone out here quickly for a recent claim I had. The breaker blew and the power went out where my microwave and the stove are. The tech taught me that when something like that happens, instead of just turning off the breaker and flipping it back on after 15 seconds, you technically have to wait at least five minutes. It's because when something like that overloads, it heats up and you have to wait for it to cool down.

    Water was shooting up out of the the drainpipe in the washing machine. We thought the washer was doing something, so we placed a claim with American Home Shield on the washer. The repair guy came and checked everything out. He said, “Actually, it's not the washer. It looks like a pipe issue,” so then the claim was reclassified as plumbing. They came out and they thought it was just the pipe had been clogged. They cleaned it out, and then it seemed to be doing okay. We even verified it was draining clear. We then left for Christmas, came back, and it was doing it again.

    I tried to unclog it again and it seemed to be doing fine, but still water was shooting up out of it. We called the repair people back. The guy discovered it was something with the way the sump pump was connected. It was shooting water up, and it was hitting some sort of clog that he didn't get the first time. He was then able to unclog that and get that flowing. Now, it's working great. The guy was fantastic. I even asked, “Hey, can I pick your brain, just ask you a quick opinion question? He's like, “Yeah. Yeah, absolutely.” He was super friendly, super helpful, and he did a great job.

    The icemaker started leaking water, so we had to turn it off. We also called in and made a claim with American Home Shield. The repair guy came out and he's very knowledgeable. He had to order a part. It took a few days to do them and then the machine didn't seem to be working properly. Occasionally, it still has moments of not working. It seems to be behaving now and has been for a couple of weeks, but sometimes, it'll just not make ice. Apparently, he's had problems with these icemakers before being a little inconsistent with the way they work, so that's a major concern. I contacted him and I expected him to come by last week, but that didn't happen. He's in the area on Tuesdays, so I'll have to get in touch with him again.

    My primary AC pan backed up and it took 2 misdiagnoses and a third call before it was fixed. By that time it overflowed and pushed water into the ductwork and AHS was non-responsive to the repair calls for the damage. The damage to the ductwork was a direct result of the inability of the technician to fix the job the first time. The ductwork was covered under my policy and yet by not responding they failed honor their contract. I have no use for AHS.

This is the worst company I ever dealt with from customer service to claims. They even returned my calls after more than a week I've been begging to talk to a supervisor my solve our claim....     I signed up for the AHS Home Warranty plan and I was having problems with some electricity in the island my house. I called and AHS sent out a good electrical company who diagnosed the electrical issue to be somewhere in the attic. They let me know AHS has to authorize anything more than an hour of work. After speaking to AHS they told me that it's not covered for some unknown reason but when I read the contract it's not mentioned. It's really hard to get any type of coverage from these guys.

    I had little to no air coming from my heating vents. I could hear that the furnace was trying to turn over yet the house was in almost negative numbers. The furnace won’t quite turn over. I contacted the phone number to the warranty through the 1-800 number. I spoke with a young lady, Marge, the first day. She asked me for the contract number which I didn’t have. She was nice enough to look it up for me. It was absolutely wonderful service. I was probably on and off the phone within 10 minutes. They said they were submitting the ticket from there and the contractors would me. At that point in time, I then received an email that Jackson Heating & Air was the one contracted to me and that they will be reaching out to set up the service.

    My first opinion wasn't very nice. The young lady contacted me. I asked her, if possible, to please do things through text. She texted and said a tech would be out of my house by 9:00 am. She didn’t ask me to confirm it or to do anything else. I took a day off work. My house was an hour and a half from where I was staying because I had no heat in my house. I drove to my house and sat until 9:30. No tech came out so I called. I spoke with the young lady that did the dispatch for them again. She said, “You didn't confirm it and we told you to confirm it.” I sent her the text message that she sent me back and she said she would have somebody out to the house by 1 o'clock that day. The tech called me personally, said there had been issues in his own job and he would be out within half an hour. He was very kind, very polite and very clean. He wore his mask the entire time and social distanced. He had an excellent attitude.

    They had to order a part. They contacted me and let me know when the part came in. Unfortunately, it was like two weeks but thank goodness, I didn't have to stay in my own home. It was between Christmas and New Year so I get it. Due to circumstances, that was not their fault. They contacted me and told me around when they would be at the house. The next man showed up. Unfortunately, he didn’t wear a mask which I wasn't thrilled with. He went in, put the part in and said, “Okay, you’re good to go. There’s heat coming out.” He verified that the thermostat was okay and that there was heat coming out. I always highly preferred American Home Shield and I have family members and friends who have them. I work in a building with over 500 coworkers and I told them AHS is so wonderful. I told them about the situation and that I paid $100 for something that would have cost me a couple 1,000.

    Two of our track lights were flipping and dimming on and off. Technicians came out and they were wonderful. They helped me replace the lights and they told me that I had the problem because I was using bulbs that were not good. I purchased new bulbs and the technicians changed all the bulbs for me.     When I deal with American Home Shield, they've typically had a lack of good quality people to do the service. There's always some controversy associated with them. I've been with AHS for some time and one minute, they're on top of what they gotta do and they take care of business. Then, they have some shady person do the work and I have to get somebody else. For my last claim, the company was really good. But, I previously had a company called A&A Complete and they were the absolute worst. I've been telling AHS about A&A for the last couple of years and they would forget and send A&A to me. Every single time, they never just did the work and left. One time, they told me they had to dig up one side of my house. When the next person came, the problem was just some tissue that was clogging the line.

    When I had to get a new washer, AHS never reached out to me. Everything was done through email and it somehow went to my junk email. I went like a month and a half without a washer till I realized it was in my junk email. When I tried calling, a lot of times, I would get disconnected after waiting for like an hour. They want me to pay for it after contractor calls them for approval then they will reimburse expense!! I got this product so that I wouldn't have this problem!     We purchased the house the beginning of December and the sellers got a new boiler earlier in that year. When it seemed to be leaking, we submitted a claim with AHS through their online service request, and the process was pretty simple and easy. Their reps were really quick to come back to me and the contractors followed up with me that same day. I also got an email and a text when the techs were on their way. They were helpful and knowledgeable. And they even let me stand there and ask questions while they were doing things. They found that the issue was the pressure release valve was releasing water. Essentially, there was too much water in the system, so they resolved that.

    But there is still water leaking and it doesn't look like it's coming from the pressure release valve. So I need to get someone else back out here to see what issue might be going on. Despite that, I've told people that the warranty is really helpful. Before becoming a homeowner and before our realtor pointed us to American Home Shield, I thought it wasn't in people's radars to consider a warranty company and they don't know the options. So I've already been mentioning it to people and hope to continue to do so.

    Water heat replacement was a nightmare. It was leaking and we kept getting the runaround with their repairmen. We ended up paying for it ourselves. It took 2 months to only get part of our money back. Dishwasher was unrepairable so they gave us a new one. It stopped working in less than a year. It was only used a few times.     We had a leaking pipe upstairs in our bathroom. I went online, submitted the claim, and got a phone call within 24 hours. The contractor called and scheduled an appointment, then came out. They were able to repair it that day and told us that if for some reason, it still continued to leak, to give them a call directly as opposed to contacting American Home Shield, and they would come out and look at it again. The only thing I didn't understand with American Home Shield was when we had a plumber come out for the same area, they cut a hole in our ceiling, and I didn't know that we had to find our own contractor to have them come out and fix it, pay for it upfront then send AHS an invoice. They just sent us a $120 check for the inconvenience. But for the most part, they've been pretty good.

    The guy from Jensen Mechanical was great. It took a while to get the furnace fixed though because there was water in the oil. I had to get the oil people to come out, pump the oil tank out and replace it with fresh oil. It was covered and it wasn’t American Home Shield's fault. The service with AHS has been okay but sometimes, it's hard for them to find people to come out because we live in a rural area. They have to schedule and I have to make sure that the contractor services the area. If they don’t, then I gotta call AHS back and they have to find somebody else.

    There wasn’t much of a concern with American Home Shield on my other claims but this time, I tried to call and it was a long wait. I asked to be rescheduled to have someone to contract them but that was not done. I gave the benefit of the doubt because it was after Christmas time and yet, it still took more than 20 days to get one faucet fixed. Once the contractor came, they fixed it but the communication was very bad. They kept saying they would come the next day but they never showed up. They didn’t even inform me that they were not coming. It's a rental property and my renter was upset. They threatened to vacate the home. It was even more aggravating because the renter said that it’s a kitchen faucet and asked how they could live without it and all the things that go with the rental.

    In general, AHS is okay. Sometimes the service is delayed, sometimes the contractor has to come three times. But the repair guy who came for the dryer was amazing. He kept us informed at every step. So the dryer service was good but not the plumbing. I’ve had AHS for three years and when I checked, the newcomers are paying only $40 for something that I'm paying $70 a year. So, I'm considering going to an alternative though I like AHS. Other people are giving 39.95 for the same services, so that's $360 a year.

    We signed up for pre-season heat check, and then we were supposed to have somebody come out, but they never showed up. It has been a while and I paid the fee because I saw it deducted from my account. Recently, I put a claim in to have someone look at my heating unit because I've got a heat pump and I had some issues with it. It wasn't heating. I had Honesty Mechanical come out. It was the first time I used them, and certainly was very impressed with the professionalism. Caleb was my technician and he came out the initial time to take a look at it. My wife said that he was very thorough. He inspected the unit.

    Generally, what we've had in the past is that people would come out and take a look. It would be pretty quick. But Caleb took his time and gave his diagnosis as far as what he thought he found, which was the heat strips were damaged and not heating properly. So, he ordered the parts, made it a point to make sure to let us know to give a call if we didn't hear back from them in 24 hours. I called the next day and got an appointment. He came back out, repaired the items. He took a lot of time to explain to me because I was not there during the initial visit, kind of what he found and what was the problem, and said to just obviously give it some time, but certainly, things should improve greatly. And since then, it has been like night and day. The unit has been doing exactly what the tech said it should do.

    My frustration has been not so much with that, but just in the past, having different vendors out to look at it and getting nowhere and having him come out and diagnose it and fix it. We have been more than happy ever since. I'm extremely satisfied. I would recommend American Home Shield to anybody, especially if Caleb is the technician. My father lives in Pennsylvania and he has been a homeowner for a long time. I was telling him about it and my experiences, especially right after I had the heating issue and Caleb came out and fixed from Honesty, and he was like, "I have to look into it." I highly recommend it to him.
