Each experience I've had with American Home Shield has been different. It depends on which company they've called. Sometimes, I get somebody out right away, and sometimes I don't. When filing a claim, I don't like calling because I'm not talking to somebody who speaks very good English, and it's very hard to understand the people that are in a foreign country. I went through the webpage this time and it was easy and Gulf Appliance was excellent.

My wife usually calls American Home Shield and make an appointment. For the most part, it's pretty pleasant. In the past we've had not so good people that American Home Shield sent out. But overall, they were not bad. We had furnace problems once and I offered the guy something to drink, just being kind, but then he turned around and declined it. Then he went in my refrigerator and got the drink anyway. But the tech that came out for the plumbing issue was very professional and respectable. We had a scheduled appointment later that day. I called him and asked if he could make it earlier. He said, “Absolutely. That’s even better for me.” That really impressed me. He came by and got in and out.
There was a time when we had a leaky pipe and the contractor that American Home Shield sent out said we had to tear a hole up in the kitchen to fix the pipe. There was a drainage pipe that cracked, and it was in the behind some cabinets. One of the plumbers went in there and said, “Look, this is what I’ll do. I’ll patch it.” So we spent 75 bucks to find out that at the time but they didn’t want to do the work. Then I talked to another guy and he said he would fix the pipe for 250 bucks, and that we didn't have to tear up our whole kitchen. Some of the people that American Home Shield sent out in the past made the job harder than it has to be and because I didn’t know any better, I couldn’t argue. But once I started educating myself, I realized they just didn’t want to do the work. Also, I hate to see the rate going up every month. But overall, I can’t say anything bad about American Home Shield.

We were in the middle of snow and ice storm where everything was shut down. Communication was a little bit harsh because of internet connectivity issues. But, Heritage Air came right out and within 45 minutes of being there, they fixed the appliance that was not working properly and everything was great. When I normally call AHS, I speak to someone over the phone. However, this time that I called, it was an automated system and it didn't really let me put all the details as they personally would ask. "What's wrong? What's the name? What's the brand? How old do you think the appliance is?" Just general questions. So they may or may not have the recommended name brand part. It was a little awkward, but I was really fortunate that Heritage Air came out and had a replacement part and it was an easy fix. Our experience with AHS has been awesome.

So far, I'm very dissatisfied. This is the second time that I've filed this claim for my heating unit. They were telling me that I gotta have a new unit. And I don't want a new unit. I want my unit fixed. It's a good unit. They've come up with all sorts of excuses. It's complicated wiring, complicated this, complicated that. I was like, "That doesn't make any sense. You're supposed to be in the business of doing this." It didn't seem like everybody was on the up and up because everybody seemed to be scamming somebody.
Are you still in need of assistance?

The tech was here on time and he checked everything. He did the maintenance and changed the piece that he thought was the problem, and the problem was solved. With the other claim, because it was very cold when our heater broke, I turned out calling American Home Shield to speak with customer service to see if it could be quicker. But it was exactly also on the days that we had the storms so there wasn't much people could do. But at least, the people I spoke with were good. They were very responsive. The waiting time was not too long. They were trying to help. They even tried to contact other places. The two times I had to use American Home Shield, I'm very satisfied with the experience. It was a good surprise. I'm very happy with the choice we made.

I called American Home Shield when my heat was blowing out cold air. It was 53 upstairs and 51 downstairs. This happened on a Thursday night so I was looking for them to come out Tuesday or Wednesday of the next week. When I woke up the next morning, I missed their call. I called them back and they asked, "Sir, can you have someone available in 45 minutes?" I was very impressed. The tech was polite and very knowledgeable. He understood the job. The timing was well. He wore shoes and a mask. He gets all the 5 stars from me. There were questions I had about setting the thermostat and he explained to me how to set the temperature. I will recommend American Home Shield.

My LG freezer wasn't freezing up and the top refrigerator went out. The tech from Sears did a fantastic job. He did whatever he could do. He said it had a leak inside the walls and they couldn't repair it. American Home Shield gave me a choice. Either I take cash and buy a new one or I go to Lowe's and pick one out there. AHS sent an e-card to Lowe's and I went there and got a replacement refrigerator. They're supposed to deliver it tomorrow. With the warranty company I had before, it took me 95 days before I could get somebody out to check my refrigerator. It went through all my holidays. I couldn't cook for the family and it was terrible. But, that company didn't care. I dropped them as soon as I could and went to AHS. This is the best company and I would recommend them to anybody.

We checked the dryer on different cycles and it wouldn't turn on at all. Gilmore's came out and the guy was amazing. He came back with the timer and some other part but it wouldn't work and he said the motor was gone. I got a brand new dryer and I'm upset with the people who delivered it. Two guys brought it in and put it in the laundry room. Then, I saw that there was a huge scratch on the bottom of the inside of the dryer door. And it's not just a scratch. I can even put my nail in it. I believe that happened when the guy was using the screwdriver and they didn't have the integrity to tell me about it. I sent pictures of the damage to a rep from AHS and he hasn't been able to tell me anything yet. He asked me if I looked at the dryer when they brought it in and I told him I didn't think I had to, it was a brand new dryer. I have yet to hear back from them. I'm dissatisfied with the experience.

The heat went out and a tech came for it. Then the heat went out again about two weeks later. Somebody came, and it was a different item. Then the third time it went out, there was a different thing that they said that was wrong. Somebody came out three days ago and said that it needed the new part. The part’s in, so the repairman is coming in today to put it in. I used to call in claims to American Home Shield, but I've found that it's better now and quicker to do it online. Everyone that's come out here has been extremely professional and has been really nice.

The mechanic that was sent out to look at the washer was here promptly. He did a quick fix on it and was waiting for a part, then AHS offered us a check to put towards a new washer instead of fixing the old one, which we went ahead and took that offer. We got the new washer and we're just waiting for the check. It was all just great. Submitting the claim was also absolutely easy. When I called AHS, I didn't have my account number and they looked it up on the address for me, so I didn't have to panic on that. Then, I had four follow-up communications by email or text and it was very good. We are in the process of building a new house and we'll be using American Home Shield on that home as well.

Someone from the plumbing company called me and to set up an appointment. She told that they would have someone out here by 11:00 that morning. But I told her that my daughter was going to be there because I was at work. So when the plumber got there, he had my daughter called me. So we did a FaceTime and he was in the bathroom doing the plumbing. I told him that he didn't have to stay on the phone with me, but he insisted to stay on the phone until he was finished. He wanted me to see what he was doing and let me know what everything was and how to go about fixing it. Then he went to the kitchen. It was a hose that was leaking. I had already purchased the faucets so he went ahead and installed that for me. It was excellent.
Calling American Home Shield for me was easier. I also learned that you could kill two birds with one stone if there were two things that needed to be done versus having to call and pay a service fee each time as long as they're in the same category. I never knew that even though I had American Home Shield for a while. The rep explained that they couldn't do it online, so I would have to call and tell them both things. Overall, American Home Shield had been good.

I had some issues in our wall. The water was coming up into the first floor. Apparently, the plumbing started leaking. I called American Home Shield and their contractor came in. I had them take a look at it and they seemed to do a fine job. They had to come back though because we had to cut into the wall. They couldn't cut into the wall itself. The pipes are inside the wall so I had to have somebody come in, cut into the wall and remove all the spray foam that was along all the pipes. After that, the contractor came in, did the fix and left. It was about two weeks for the complete fix. But I was lucky I was having other work done at the same time. I was having a new roof put on and one of the guys was a guy that does that kind of subcontract work. I asked if he could cut it for me. He cut an opening in the wall on the inside and the outside and we were done.
The only issue I've had with American Home Shield was with them trying to find people to do the work on the home. I was trying to get a rekey done and they couldn't find anybody. I don't know how they figure out who they get to do the rekey. I already had somebody in the area that would do it for me but they didn't call them for some reason. Maybe they're not one of their subcontractors. Also, it sounded like these guys I've been talking to are from the Philippines and I'm not exactly sure they're prepared to call the right people in a local area in the U.S. If they're trying to search for people, it didn't seem like they were able to do it very well. But that was okay. I had already had it set up. They just had to approve it. Through their process of getting a subcontractor then reimbursing me, I was able to make it work.
I don't know if American Home Shield is gonna want me anymore. I've already had them out like five times and I've heard that sometimes they cancel you if you have people out too many times. But that's what they're for and I'm using the heck out of them. If you're buying a home that is over 10, 15 years old like ours, you better get a warranty because that's right when things start to break. Get a warranty that is at the highest level you can possibly get which is what I did - I got the highest level package from American Home Shield.

The service of AHS was awful the last couple of years. We had a claim for our water heater. American Home Shield was gonna pay for the water heater, but not the $1,200 installation. So, we did that one ourselves and we put a water heater in for about $300. We also had a claim for our furnace. Budget Air said it had a cracked manifold or heat element, so it had to be replaced. We knew the furnace was over 25 years old. We knew it was time. But when we called up when it was reported to AHS, they told us we had to have some modifications done, which would have totaled over $1,200. By then, Budget was offering us a brand-new one, without any modifications to be done for $1,400. We went with that. So, we were denied the replacement of the furnace. But before, whenever we called AHS, things were done to our satisfaction.

AHS is convenient for me. I got the coverage because I needed somebody that I could call and get out pretty quickly and not have to hunt and find somebody then wonder what I'd be charged. AHS been real good to me and I'd take out the policy again. I had a couple of large repairs years ago that I had to have done and they kind of hit me kind of hard. With my income like it is now, I need something where what I have to pay is more set. AHS is a relief to me.
There were some issues with my dryer. There were some tumblers in there that were going out. When the tech with Big Kountry Appliance got out here, he also found that the latch on my door was broken. He fixed that as well. I've had two experiences with Big Kountry Appliance and they've both been exceptional. When the tech came out this time, the dryer wasn’t squealing like it had been. He stood and listened to it long enough and figured out what it was. He ordered the parts. The only thing was the parts did take a little while to come in but that's not their fault. I had originally set up an appointment but and I had a doctor's thing come up that was kind of an emergency so I had to put it off. It took a while to get it corrected but it was my fault.

I had a problem with my faucet in my kitchen that was connected to my kitchen sink. The first company that came out said that the problem couldn't be fixed and that I needed to buy a whole new faucet. I called American Home Shield and they recommended Cooper. Cooper came out and they did fix the problem. But when they went up under my sink where the plumbing is, they left loose some of the little round part that connects one piece to another piece.
Later on, after Cooper came out, water started dripping. It dripped all over the bottom of my cabinet and all the stuff that I had in there. So I had to call them to come back out. They came back out and fixed it. But there's still a bit of leak there. So in the long run, it needs to be replaced. But they were trying to save me money and they thought they could fix it. So it's been a mess. But it's operating fine. I'm not real satisfied with my experience because it seems like I have to come out of a lot of out of pocket for whatever is being done.

We'd set it for a temperature and it would keep getting colder and colder. Johnny came out and replaced the thermostat on that one. We were happy both times.

We had a different coverage that was paid for by the previous homeowner and we didn't like them for whatever reason. We looked and found that American Home Shield had some decent ratings as compared to some of the others, so we went with them. On Thanksgiving Day, our stove started ticking and on its own, it made the sound that it makes when it's trying to light the pilot light. So, my husband unplugged the system, then we called AHS within the next week. A guy came out and took a look at it, then he said he would order some parts and be back out the next Friday. But we got the parts in pretty quickly within the week and he never came back that Friday.
So, I called and they said they never knew that I got the parts back. But I told them that nobody told me I was supposed to call and tell them that. And then, they said they didn't have any appointments available. So, I called a couple of times back to see if I could get an appointment to get the tech to come fix my stove. They told me the best they could do is the 1st of March, and this was back in January. Other than that, AHS has replaced my washing machine that died and that happened quickly. They also took care of my washer, but they haven't taken care of my stove which has been broken since Thanksgiving. After writing this review the company reached out to me within 24 hours of my post. I couldn't believe that and was pleasantly surprised. The person I dealt with was extremely helpful in getting my primary problem resolved. Unfortunately for me this person doesn't have the authority to change contractors or any control over the way calls are routed. Based on my experience with this individual it has restored my faith in AHS.

I'm usually the kind of person that does not like to write reviews even after I've been cheated... But I've reached my limit!!! I can't do this anymore. So here it goes… I've had AHS (American Home Shield) for about a 15 years at different properties. At first I had wonderful service. This past winter I used them for my hot water heater and they put this as an expedited call as I have a person with a disability living with us. The technician that serviced my hot water heater wanted to charge an extra $250 because he said my tool chest was in the way, which it wasn’t. It is on wheels, and rolls very easily, so my wife moved it for him.
After diagnosing the problem he told that they would need authorization for the replacement. I called AHS to find out the status the next morning and was told that the authorization department doesn’t work on the weekends and that I should have an answer by mid week. I was forced to call another company to replace the hot water heater. When AHS finally got back to me with the authorization, I informed them that I was forced to take care of it myself due to the circumstances. They told me the authorization department would call and give a cash out price. That turned out to be half of the actual cost.
Now 2 months later my lower A/C unit (air conditioning) stopped working. I called AHS and they sent out one of their contracted A/C companies. They came out and diagnosed the problem and reported back to AHS. On 12/29/2020 they reported to AHS what the issue was. AHS did not accept their findings so they sent out a second contractor on 01/28/2021, which was Doctor Cool. When the technician showed up to look at unit, he told me what he found. Then then wrote his report which was different than what he had told me as well as make out right false claims that he was inside my home and his finding there as well. I contacted both the second company, Doctor Cool and AHS. I explained what happened. Doctor Cool ignored my complaint, and so did AHS.
AHS then denied my claim based on Doctor Cool's report. When I contacted AHS about getting a third party opinion, they told me they don't cover that and it be at my own expense. After I got an independent contractor, their finding was the same as the first company that AHS sent out. I then followed up with AHS, they told me they won't accept the independent report. They also refused to send out a third contractor of their choice stating they already sent out two and are accepting the second company's Doctor Cool's report at face value.
It appears that AHS has a history of using this company when they are trying to avoid paying a legitimate claim. I feel the level of service that AHS has provided has gone down in recent years. These two incidents are not the only occasions that we have encountered with AHS in getting them to pay for warranty items. Furthermore all these calls are routed to call centers outside the U.S. and will not transfer you to a U.S. based person or transfer you to their authorization department or an appeals department. So for a second time in two months I'm being forced to pay out of pocket for an item that is clearly covered in my contract with AHS and with limited avenues of recourse.

Going on 3rd night of no heat in Arctic Winter Storm in Texas....AHS trying to send companies that are 50-90 miles away--roads impassable so the 2 companies they offer will only come out several days from now (appropriately should not travel); I found a local company to come out but AHS insists on refusing to pay them, instead insists on sending company >50 miles away. Temp expected to be 0 degrees tonight. There are NO heaters to buy in town. We did our part and paid the contract upfront, to be prepared for these sort of things. Huge mistake, I have spent 3 days dealing with this AWFUL, IRRESPONSIBLE company. LOL their solution is to go out and buy space heaters!! Maybe the fire marshal would like this! IF there were any in town to buy!! Extremely tired of being passed around and being told NO ONE has the ability to get us with a supervisor.

I had a leak from the hot water heater. Water was running on outside. The tech came out to look at it. It took about 30 minutes to decide what it needed. He had to order a valve, and then he came back within the next three days. It took him less than an hour to put it on. Everything was fine. The claims process was pretty good. I would recommend American Home Shield for that.

I had an eye that was not working on my stove top, and also the stove top had a crack. My washing machine was also filling up with water when it was not being used. I did a claim then to American Home Shield. It was very quick. As soon as I submitted the claim within the next day, I received a phone call that it had been received and that the person that was handling it would check my schedule, so that they could come out to assess the problem.
The contractor was very easy to work with as far as scheduling. He was very easy to access as far as when I missed his call, I was able to call the number back and actually speak to a person. He made the process very seamless because he was very accessible. He did mention that I would probably have to replace the hose that’s attached to my washing machine. I kinda felt like, “Well, let's go ahead and do that while you're here, rather than starting the process again.” But I do realize he was here to fix one problem with the washing machine, not necessarily several problems, and that's it. But I felt like we could have done that all in one.

Mr. Rooter did a really good job. The technician that came out was extremely professional. He came out at the time that he said he would, and gave me notice that he was about to arrive. When I was away, I was able to get back to the house and be here when he was here. He identified the problem immediately and was able to make the necessary repair. He kind of spoke to us in regards to other things we could look for in kind of reviewing the equipment. So it was a very positive experience.
When I submitted the claim, I attempted to go online, but at that time, American Home Shield was having difficulty with the website. It was saying that my service wasn't allowing me to contact that particular website. So I had to make a phone call. But they were pretty prompt. They don't keep you holding on for a really long time. Because if they're overloaded, they alert you that, “The call volume is greater than normal. And we can give me the option to receive a call back from them.” So that's what I chose to do because it was heavy volume, and I got tired of listening to that music. Then they called me back on my cell phone. So it was a pretty good process.

I was recommended to AHS by my sister who had a number of issues in her house and they were all addressed. She was happy. I am happy too and I have also referred them. Recently, the heat wasn't coming up. It kept shutting off. I couldn't feel any air coming through the vents and the house was cold. I called AHS and a very nice, young man came out. He checked various things on there. After he tested it a couple times, it would go on and then shut off. He saw that the fan would go on then off so it would overheat. He had to go about a half an hour away then come back. It was super cold out and he had to work late to finish it because he didn't want us to spend the weekend without heat.
It was my second call with that furnace and everything seemed to go smooth. The first time they came out, it was a different guy. He changed the part and showed me a few little things. It didn't work because what he changed wasn't the fan, the thing that pushes the air out. He fixed one thing that was wrong but not the other. He tested the fan and it went on momentarily but he didn't leave it on long enough. It did take two times, one week apart, but they were very prompt, came back and remedied it.

I had an issue with a socket beside my sink and AHS told me that their contractor would be out within 24 hours. The techs were very nice. But, I did a different claim for my cooktop stove and I'm having trouble with it. AHS told me it would be six to eight weeks to get a part for that or maybe they wouldn't be able to find a part at all. I also had a claim for my garage door which AHS didn't fix as we weren't covered. The tech for that claim told me some other companies to go with because AHS was known for taking their time and trying to find the least expensive part. That almost got us in trouble with our pool pump which was evidently old. AHS had to find a part and we had to wait. The techs have said that some of the other warranty companies are quicker and they would get my issue fixed. They’re not going to hunt around for two months to find a part. That disappoints me and I've found what the techs have said to be true for the claim on my stove.

When I complained to American Home Shield that I wanted them to send someone new who was reliable and would respond, they refused to so. That created a very poor experience for me. It took over a month to fix the dishwasher which then worked for a week until it broke again. AHS ended up reassigning me to the first technician because they fixed it the first time. The tech did good, other than my other faucet needs to be fixed. But I'm not going to turn around and spend another $75 for him to come out and change a faucet. That's $5, so I’d rather wait. He only changed one faucet, but both faucets needed to be changed. The problem that I'm having with American Home Shield is that anytime they send techs out to do a service, whether it's on my washing machine, dryer, plumbing, or refrigerator, it doesn't get resolved. The techs come out, they fix the unit, then say, “Okay, it's fixed” but it's not. Because then a couple of weeks later, it messes up again or it's not drying, or I have no ice, my refrigerator’s not cold, or whatever the reason is.
But then when I come back to, “Okay. It's not working, when I actually use it.” Then I have to call, and it's not under warranty, and then I gotta pay another $75, more money out of my pocket. Half the job always gets done, no matter what the appliance is. They fixed my dryer so many times. And they broke it a second time. They ended up plugging it in and it wasn't properly put together so they fried the motherboard. It doesn't dry properly. So, when the guy would come out and put the new heating element in, and he would put these little machines, he would be like, “Okay. Yeah, it dries.” But no, he does not understand. I have to dry my clothes twice. So I'm using double the electricity and money coming out of my pocket.
If he would have fixed it properly the first time, or if they were replaced at the first time instead of trying to cover up the mistake that they made, then I wouldn’t have to keep spending $75 for the dryer elements to keep going out. They keep replacing the same part. But they screwed up my whole machine to begin with. Same thing with my brand-new refrigerator that I've had for a year. They keep replacing and breaking stuff. They broke so much stuff. And now they're trying to replace it. And it took me a whole month and a half for the techs to come out because AHS kept playing phone tag with me. But I keep being dedicated to them because when something big goes wrong, then I know that, “Okay. Hopefully I can rely on the company to come out and fix them properly, instead of me having to go through hoops again.” I still pay. I still do what I'm supposed to. But AHS is not doing their part.

I got an email reply shortly after I placed the claim that had the contractor name and that they'd be contacting me shortly. So everything worked the way it should. I have to say it on American Home Shield's website, and then it reaches out to him. There's no communication between him and I, other than when he said he was on his way in 15 minutes. My fridge is freezing everything and it still hasn't been fixed. I tried calling American Home Shield several times and I would reach somebody from a third world country reading a script. Also, I'm still waiting on my stove, which I can't use because it is leaking gas. I'm waiting for a part that we couldn't find. American Home Shield said that it's on backorder and not in stock. But I haven't heard anything. So to have insurance is not so good. Because I've been here since the 1st of the year. It's easier to go fix it yourself.

All of my drains were backing up. The last time I had this issue, they just augered the shower drain and sure enough, that fixed it. I had cleaned it out earlier that day and some of that broke loose and I just couldn't reach it with my auger. I thought it was a mainline clog. But because my house was built in '46, my plumbing hasn't been updated.
The plumber told me that I didn't have a main line cleanup. So, if it was a main line clog, they'd have to put a main line in and American Home Shield warranty wouldn't cover that. So, it was absolutely freezing outside and my options were to pay 350 for a mainline cleanout where I had this issue before. But it turns out that my shower drain acts as a vent for my plumbing. If my shower drain clogs at all, none of my drains work. I had been under my house and I couldn't find a traditional vent anywhere. So, the plumber augered my shower drain and that fixed my issue. I was super happy ‘cause I thought that poor dude was gonna have to mess with the main line. But it wound up just having to use a longer auger.
I love the American Home Shield. It saved me several times over. I will not go without a home warranty. I have used them since I've got this place. They've given me the first year free and I haven't let it expire at all just because I've had little stuff like my water heater and the thermostat in my fridge going out. I was gonna have to buy a new fridge and I called American Home Shield and put the work order in, and they just brought a new thermostat out and fixed it right up. I've tried to get my mom to sign up for one several times ‘cause she has an older home and she has some of the same small issues as me.

Updated on 02/18/2021: My family is freezing in the house during this winter storm - one of the worst in US history. After posting this review in couple of places, we got contacted by AHS. Here it is: "I have located a vendor that is familiar with your type of Lennox system, Platinum Repairs 818-435-4442 they will call you to schedule." And here what happened next: The vendor Platinum Repairs is terrible. Tech told us the heat exchanger needs to be replaced. But report they sent apparently said that unit is under warranty and recall by Lennox. The unit is Lennox G14 as you can see on the report. It is 25+ years old and has no warranty. Also this G14 unit has no recall. We have contacted & confirmed this by Lennox. Just a simple search will confirm that it’s NOT UNDER RECALL. Check for yourself, please call Lennox.
This situation is getting ridiculous. First vendor said they don’t have tools, second said that part is missing, now this ancient unit apparently “under manufacturers warranty” that Lennox knows nothing about. Supervisor supposed to call us today too- but didn’t. Meanwhile my family freezing. What a terrible way to lie your way out of your responsibility to fix this old unit. Shame on you. I will be posting this everywhere online, social media, blogs, consumer reports, bbb and much more UNLESS THIS PROBLEM SOLED IMMEDIATELY and we receive an apology for being treated this way by AHS, wasted hours on phone calls with AHS and freezing in the house.
Original Review: Unacceptable service. At this point we will post this everywhere on line to let people know how bad this company is. We have been waiting for AHS to fix the heater in the house for 1 month now. It is freezing in the house and we have kids. We had 2 technicians coming out said that our unit needs authorized Lennox technician with Lennox-compatible tools to fix our unit as igniter doesn’t work and it needs Lennox-specific tools to open and change rusted igniter. We have been given different excuses for 1MONTH now and no Lennox technician. The written reports from 2 servicemen that came stated that only Lennox technology can fix it, but AHS had not sent one. In fact they tried to assign our order to companies that already came and unable to fix because they have no appropriate tools. AHS does not have professional technicians - this is not a good choice for anyone - sgn with Fidelity Home Warranty or any other provider instead.

So we had to go through American Home Shield to try to get it reordered even though we had the code from the manufacturer to get everything replaced free. But they refused to do it. So we had to fight with them over and over again. They kept saying their system didn’t know how to do that and they didn't know how to do it and that we had to go buy a new one. It was like the rep didn't understand what I was trying to tell her. It was like she was reading a script.
We eventually stopped trying to get American Home Shield to reorder another one. So we called the manufacturer back and we begged them to please let us go somewhere else and order it through someone else or send it to another company that can do it for us because American Home Shield refused to help us. The manufacturer got us a contractor who was licensed through them. They ordered everything. It was fine. Everything was free.
When I first tried to do a claim, American Home Shield always want me to pay upfront, until they want me to put my credit card in to the system. They wanted me to go online and do it on the system with my card before they even schedule me. But I don't want to do that. I have no problem to pay the money but I'd much rather talk to somebody so I can tell them what's going on. Sometimes they don't call for a day or two and then for them to find someone, that’s another day or two. It can end up two weeks before I get anybody out.
Another thing that I hate is that every time I call, the only person I've ever talked to is out of country. Usually, I don't have a problem with it at all. But when they don't understand what I'm trying to say, it makes it very difficult. It's like they're reading on a script and it's very difficult to explain things. There's a language barrier. So overall, we don't think we're going to renew with American Home Shield after this whole experience.

The water heater started leaking. It was 15 years old. The techs came out. I called them on a Friday night, and they couldn't come out Friday. They're closed on the weekend. So, they came out the next week. They took pictures because, evidently, the piping wasn't up-to-code. They left. They had to order piping, and also the water heater. The water heater and stuff didn’t come for about 10 days. We didn't have any hot water, except what we boiled, for three weeks. When they came out, they put in the piping. Then, they had to charge me for the piping. It was 125 to AHS, and then about 395 to them for that piping.
We've had other claims to American Home Shield. It was a quicker resolution for the others. First, when I called, I thought it was leaking from the pipe in the basement but it turned out that it was from a small leak in the drainpipe of the water heater. It was spraying water under the sink, and then leaking down. The tech came out. There was something here where they couldn’t fix it. They needed to send out a dishwasher person. So then, they came out and fixed it.

The only other unfavorable experience I had with American Home Shield was trying to get a refund for a service fee. That was horrible. I placed a call for the same dryer. But the next day, the dryer started working. So I called to cancel. They assured me that the refund was going to be processed and I will receive the refund. But, it took me almost two months, because every time I call, it was gonna be 10 days. I spoke to so many people about the same situation and it was just unbelievable.

We had a pretty good experience with the repair of our water heater. We got a new water heater within three days and it was pretty quick. But the water heater that was put in would not keep the water hot. On our old one, we were able to take two showers back to back and be fine. On the second visit, the technician didn't believe me and he tried to tell me that it wasn't the water heater that was doing anything like that. But he was nice. We also had to have our refrigerator replaced due to the water heater failure through American Home Shield. That experience was amazing all around. We love American Home Shield. That claim was one of the easiest I've ever done. The techs were great. I've had some pretty crappy people come out for other things. But these people were professional and very courteous.
AHS has been good in most cases. Whenever I had somebody who would not service me correctly, they would replace them pronto. Sometimes, I can have bad contractors, but American Home Shield really takes care of things. When I tell them I'm a senior citizen and dealing with things that need to be fixed right away, they go above and beyond to make sure that I'm serviced.

I was a little perturbed with American Home Shield. I went online first to set the initial appointment and made the payment. But Home Shield did not do a good job of getting back in touch with me after the first people, Guaranteed Services, came out. What they did was they sent me an email to tell me that my job was completed. But my job was not completed. I still had no heat. I called American Home Shield and I could never get anyone on the phone. So then I reached out to Guaranteed Services and they explained their issue. They couldn't have access. But they said that there were other companies that could fix it and that I should get a second opinion through American Home Shield.
When I tried to get in touch with American Home Shield, it was difficult. Now, this time I needed to talk to someone else, because I did not want to pay another $75 fee. When I was able to get someone on the phone, it was 11 o'clock at night and they spoke with a very heavy accent, so I was a having a hard time understanding. But I wasn't happy with the lack of the personable communication with American Home Shield. Because they did not respond. They just said it was closed. No one ever told me why they closed my case. No one ever told me that they were having any access issues. I had to call Guaranteed Services to know about that. So I was not happy with that part.
When I did get in touch with American Home Shield, they said, “You need to have Guaranteed Services, call American Home Shield back and have Guaranteed Services tell American Home Shield that they couldn't do the work and why they couldn't do the work.” We did that. We got on a three-way call and called American Home Shield back. It was another three weeks before anything happened. So I was not happy with American Home Shield and their communication with their customers.
The second company that they sent out was Service Pro and they were wonderful. But my issue was not resolved. They could not get access to the part that they need to fix because of the way my townhouse is built. I'm going to have to hire a contractor to cut them an access area to it. But as far as the service, the service reps were very nice. I understand why it could not be remedied. So I've had no heat at my house since December 17. But I was very, very happy with Service Pro. I told them if I can get my issue fixed, as far as so that someone can get access to the heating coils that need to be fixed, I will definitely reach back out to American Home Shield again and I would request that Service Pro would do the work. They were wonderful in explaining what was wrong and the diagnosis was right on point.

My pool service tech located several different things on my pool. There was a cracked lid on a part of it, a filter for the gauge was broken, and there was a leak. American Home Shield sent Green Valley and they were great. They came out and they checked it. They told me they were going to order the parts then they were back within a couple days, and it was fixed. They repaired the leak and replaced what needed to be replaced. If I hadn't just switched to a new pool tech, I thought about switching to Green Valley to have the pool service done. The repair guy was professional and he showed up when he said he was going to. Those are the things that I look for for repairs.
I've had more repairs in the last year than I have ever had, but it's also because of the age of my home. I had one horrible experience in which I almost canceled my subscription. Everything else has been fine. Some have been exemplary, like Green Valley. The wait-time to call American Home Shield is sometimes long, but it's COVID, and everybody's on the same boat. There was one incident this summer that's still not resolved though. I currently have a claim to have the same problems fixed that took forever, but with a different company. The guy came out yesterday and he's ordering a whole new thing as well.

I reported an issue with my water heater leaking on 11/29/20. On 12/1/20 American Home Shield's (AHS) contractor came out, spent less than 5 minutes looking at my water heater and told me it was leaking and would have to be replaced, said he had to request Auth, said he would send electronically before leaving, once authorized AHS would source a water heater from Lowe's or Home Depot and he would pick up and install, leak was currently minor so could use for the few days it would take. I called AHS later that day as I saw on their system it showed as Completed, Rep said it was marked complete because the Tech was out and he could see he submitted for auth and I should hear from the contractor to schedule replacement.
I was also promised a call from a representative and a supervisor earlier in the day. I tried calling the contractor after that daily for a week, always went to voice mail, never got a call back. I made several attempts to call AHS but spent hours on hold, recording advised to go online but chat functionality wasn't working online and nothing you could do online except put in for another service request which AHS wanted to collect another fee for. I had a company out to look at it sourced by Home Depot Home Services who stated the same thing AHS' contractor said but also sent me the info and quotes for replacement in writing. Leaking continued to get worse throughout December but I could not get through to either AHS or their contractor and speak with anyone.
On Dec 30th the leak was much worse and I had to shut the water off because it was soaking a carpet. I was not able to reach AHS after spending almost 30 min on hold, a call to their contractor went to voicemail, the Home Depot contractor answered but were booked until after the holiday, calls to other plumbers got the same result. With family working in retail and the holiday weekend I ended up having to replace the water heater DIY.
After the holiday weekend I tried to call AHS again spending over an hour on hold and being told to go online for service without reaching a human. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. AHS' response was that the report they got from their contractor was that my water heater was operating normally and that I should request a second opinion if I was still experiencing issues knowing that the water heater was replaced already and not available for another inspection. I provided the pictures, statement from the other company, receipt for the parts, and picture of the new water heater installed.
I requested AHS provide the recording of my calls on Dec 1st as well as the report from the contractor. AHS' rebuttal was again that I could request another inspection or I could submit a detailed invoice with diagnosis of what was causing the leak, both clearly I could not because it was replaced as well as the fact that even if I had a plumber replace it none would have taken it apart to determine the cause of the leak due to the cost. AHS also finally noted that their contractor reported the water observed was discharge from the Temperature and Pressure (T&P) relief valve.
That fact was a critical piece of information because the pipe attached to the T&P valve on my water heater didn't discharge directly onto the floor demonstrating their contractor provided false information. Additionally, my water usage was 1000 gallons a month more than normal in Oct and Nov and 2000 gallons more in Dec but after replacing the water heater usage went back to normal, that amount of water would not be normal discharge from a T&P valve. Faced with that information AHS stood by their denial now stating I replaced it without their approval so they would not reimburse me.
AHS never advised me that my water heater was not being replaced as I was told by both the contractor and one of AHS' reps on 12/1. AHS' reps and supervisor never called me as promised on 12/1. AHS's staffing and systems made it impossible for me to reach a human in order to get that information or request a second opinion before a complete failure required emergency replacement. Other consumers should know of my experience and look at the thousands of BBB complaints as well as AHS' Twitter and Facebook comments which are all similar to my experience.

But I don't want the other one I had previous to that ever back in my house again. They were unprepared. They spent more time on the telephone texting and making personal calls. I had some extra fees that I needed to pay for reworking and nothing was reworked. It was the faucet in the sink in the kitchen and I ended up being the one to go get the part. But AHS is redeeming itself. I have a 20-year old house and everything decided to fall apart during covid. I had someone come out for the washer and dryer. Those were both fine. I'm fortunate to have the warranty, which we pay for. It’s good that American Home Shield builds a reputation with the service people. But some service people that they sent out, I would never use again. I've told them about that too. I've also had a problem over the years when I need plumbing work and ask for a company to come and American Home Shield says that I can't do that. I have to get what they've assigned. When I have a company that does work for us and I know they do a good job, I wanna stay with those same people all the time. So we should be able to pick the company that I would like to use. When the first guy came, he couldn't do anything. The second guy came, he checked it. He said he's not working on this kind of Sub-Zero refrigerator. Then the third guy came, another request. He opened everything in a part and already lost some of the screws. He didn't call me back. I called him back after a few days. I said, “What happened?” Finally, he said, “The part is not available. I loved how easy it was to submit a claim. I work fulltime and my washer was not washing. I dreaded doing the claim, but the rep made it very easy for me. The contractor was great as well. They had to order my part and they were very communicative with me. It took a couple of days for them to get the part, but the repair person called me and let me know that he was waiting for the part. As soon as he got it, he would come and fix it. When he fixed it, he did a great job. American Home Shield is doing a great job.

The plumber came out here and he got it done. I got some other things going on as far as switching out my bath, so the one thing that if I could change it, I would, is for him to take pictures of what he did so that I could see the work that he did up underneath there. The drainage seems to be smooth, but I don't know if there are problems that's gonna be occurring in the future as a result of the work that he did. I don't have any images of what he did or how clean he was. Did he fix the slow drainage problem? Yes. Did he leave all the parts behind up underneath the crawlspace? I don't know because I haven't been up underneath here.
I'm new to the American Home Shield consumer experience, but they seem to have been on it and I would recommend it to a friend at this point. I've recommended it to my mother who has now activated American Home Shield on her house. Until I'm unsatisfied, I got good things to say. I like to give entities good ratings for doing good services. I'm taken care of over here, so I don't have a problem paying the bill or don't have anything negative to say, unless they drop the ball.

We submitted a claim to American Home Shield for our refrigerator. The ice maker had overflowed at 1:00 o'clock in the morning. It was pouring water and flooded that side of the kitchen. A tech came out and ended up having to replace the ice maker in the fridge. We did the claim online through our account. It was pretty easy. It was the second claim that we had to submit in the last three years since we've had the policy. Both times, it was very convenient. Bob was the one that came out previously for the other issue we had, and he is great. He is very pleasant, very fast, efficient, but explains everything very thoroughly. American Home Shield has been wonderful. Since we've gotten it, I've recommended the company to several people. A lot of people don't know what a home warranty is. I recommend the company every time and tell them we've had a wonderful experience. It's very affordable and that they should look into it.

American Home Shield only helped in the fact that they sent me out a plumber. I had a leak at my meter and it was on the outside of the home. But I didn't know that my service with American Home Shield didn't cover it, so I ended up having to pay out of pocket. I also had a leak inside my home or a blockage at one point in my hallway bathroom. The plumber felt bad that I was gonna get charged for the outside leak, so he snaked that line for me to make sure that it was clear all the way so I wouldn't have that problem in the future. He was awesome.

The tech was great. He had shoes on and he did everything. He also told me what I was doing wrong. Submitting a claim to AHS is easy. You sign in the website, you click on it, and they send somebody a few days later. But it's $70 a month, and then $75 when the contractor shows up. I love their service, but it's expensive. If you have family members or people around you, don't do it. It's a waste of money. So I wouldn't recommend it. But if you're someone like me who moved from California to here and don't know anyone, I'd recommend it.

The connection with American Home Shield was perfect. Everything they did was timely. But the outfit that they picked to deliver the microwave was abysmal. They should remove them from their list. The guys that brought out the microwave, looked at the opening, looked at the dimensions on the trim kit and said, "It won't fit. You need to call a handyman." So I puzzled over that. They left the old microwave. They didn't take the old one like they should have and they didn't install the new one like they should have.
I got out. I looked at the dimensions on the microwave and on the trim kit. Everything looked great to me. I just opened everything up, put the microwave in and measured the trim kit. It fit perfectly. I ended up installing it myself. Now, I still got the old microwave. I don't know what to do about that. They were also not friendly, helpful guys at all. I would not recommend AHS if they will continue using this outfit that was picked to install it.

My housekeeper said the repair man was very good. She spoke to him in Spanish, and she said he addressed all her questions, and he answered everything. The repairs were never done though. Both the icemaker and the dishwasher were left without being fixed. He said that he didn't see any problem with the dishwasher, which is not true because I've had problems with it since March of last year. I had to call back American Home Shield and tell them to open up the claim again and they're supposed to send a technician out again next Friday. Regarding the icemaker, they said they need to send a technician that deals with that brand, but as of today, I still haven't heard anything. I'm disappointed because I paid a $100 deductible and I would think someone would come in and repair it for me.

My recent claim with AHS was the heating system that was not operative. I had explained to the person that took the report that we had someone come out before. The person said, “It looked like it was intentionally broken.” But I don't know how intentional it can be when no one actually goes up there. He was great because at least this guy actually asked me to come and take a look at it.
So that nozzle, although it separated, the technician prior to that could have taken it and had it reinserted and then to get it started again. But, they left the nozzle there. So this last individual said, “Good thing, they left the nozzle.” He took it and he secured it back in the way it should be and waited a while. He ran the system and we stood there and I was able to see how it ignited and kicked on the heater. He said that was the problem. Although I still had to pay the call-out fee for this last time, at least someone knew what they were doing and got it taken care of.

Then, the second technician came out and advised us the part that the first technician indicated went out actually did not. There was a hole within the unit that caused the freon to leak out. So, the second technician went ahead and fixed the hole and it's been working since. We haven't had any issues. Submitting a claim to American Home Shield is fast and simple. If I have any questions, the representatives are knowledgeable to give me answers. Coverage upfront will be very helpful for people to be aware of when considering a home warranty but within the website, it provides a detailed terminology of what exactly American Home Shield is going to cover and what they're not. I called in my claim in the morning and the tech was there by the afternoon. I was very pleasantly surprised. American Home Shield was great. When the tech came, he got up in the attic and did what he had to do. He got it done and we had heat. He was very good and efficient. So I was pleased. I didn't have to lift a finger. He was good about communicating to me what he did and what he found. But I've had a much worse experience when I had a claim for my garbage disposal. When the plumber came, he said, “Oh, we can't work on it. You don't have a GFCI outlet,” which is the little plug. He didn't even wanna look at it. He said, “First, you gotta hire an electrician, and then, I'll come and look at it.” But my house is 50 years old and they didn't have GFCIs back then. I had already paid my $75 call fee so I felt like he just showed up, got his $75, and left. He didn't do anything. I was really disappointed by that.
The last few times that I had a claim, I like calling American Home Shield because I like the instantaneous feedback and knowing there's somebody on the other end. But since the last time, I've gotten comfortable with their website. When you do the claim through the website, you hit submit, and you cross your fingers and hope that there's somebody on the other end that actually processes your order. That's kind of why I sort of liked the call. Because then you know you've spoken with somebody and somebody’s on it. But after using the website the last time, I got pretty quick response. It makes me more comfortable that the website works well. So in the future, I'll probably stick with the website. Overall, I like the idea of having American Home Shield. It’s like a security blanket for your appliances.

I started a bit rocky with the Sirius AC Company for my AC unit. The initial claim was cancelled and eventually, it was reinstated but it took a couple of extra days to get them back out here. Since then, the service has been very fine and I haven’t had any hiccups. For my plumbing issue, I put the claim in on a Friday afternoon. The woman from the company called within a few hours and had it set up for first thing Monday morning. The guy showed up on time and wore a mask throughout even though I offered that it was fine if he didn't want to wear one in the house. He had the thing fixed within about 45 minutes and he signed off on it. He was great.
Submitting claims to American Home Shield is fine and easy but I get a little bit frustrated if the claim is emergent. They normally ask for three business days. It was over the summer when out AC unit went out or was leaking water substantially and the earliest the contractor could get out was four days later. But when the water heater was leaking water out of an inlet, it wasn’t a big deal at all. It needed to be serviced but it wasn't impacting our ability to use the water heater. I had no problem waiting a few days. But if it would have been a bigger issue with the water heater, I don't know how emergency work is brokered through American Home Shield.

American Home Shield made me believe that when I signed up with them, any water heater issues were covered up to $3,000 in repairs and they only covered $400 of replacing my water heater that needed to be replaced. The total cost out of pocket for me was $1,100. It was terrible. It cost me 59 a month to have American Home Shield's service. It cost me $100 to have someone come out. I was under the understanding that it was $75 for any claim fee to come out and do a repair or look into it and they were to give me a recording of me agreeing to a $100 deductible. But they have never done that.
I haven't cancelled American Home Shield yet, but I'm very much contemplating canceling with them. $400 was better than nothing but it was not what I had understood when I asked about the major appliances that were covered, it being one of the AC and water heater. Those are the big two units that you hope never have to use but that's why you have this warranty. I personally think all these homeowner warranties are scams.

American Home Shield is a shady business at best and I'll explain why they are. They make themselves look like an insurance company, but they absolutely aren't. They are a broker. And they work it so the contractors they higher out pass the cost back on to you. They do this through having the contract not cover certain things so that the contractors can charge you extra for stuff (so that it's worth it for the contractor to take the job).
For instance, my water heater broke, so they sent out someone to replace it and they say it's only going to cost the service fee of $100, yay. Except the contractor says "well the new water heater is two inches shorter than your old one, so I have to run extra pipe and that will cost you $280. So american home shield are saying they are covering it, but making the contract so rigid that you have no choice but to accept the contractors cost to do extra "necessary" work. So it's never just the service fee. There's always something "extra" that the contractor has to do.
Now, for why their customer service is the worst. I had a gas pipe leak in the middle of winter. The gas company had to shut my gas off. Great, ahs covers it. Except I called and they said since it's a Friday, they can't send someone out until Monday. Mind you, since the gas is shut off the furnace can't run so the temperature in the house is dropping rapidly since it's winter. I ask them to expedite it, which they say they have to send to their dispatch office which will take four hours. Their dispatch team sends it to a contractor that told them they can't be out until Monday. I call back and get told by a new agent that they will look into it. They put me on hold for an hour and never checked in at which point I had to hang up and call again.
The next person told me they didn't send the last one through as expedited. Well she was clearly lying. When I asked to speak to her manager, she literally said I don't have a line to my manager. When I asked what number she called when she had to call in sick, she said she "calls no one", again, clearly a lie. She was based in the Philippines as I'm guessing most of their customer service agents are. Ultimately it was another four hour wait to hear back from their dispatch office which I'm currently waiting for.... It's better to just find your own contractor to do it. In all but the most extreme cases your job will be done quicker, more professionally and contrary to expected, cheaper.
Thanks for sharing your warranty experience. I apologize for the inconvenience we've caused you. My name is Stacy and I've emailed you as I would like to speak to you more about your claim.

I love American Home Shield. My husband and I were with them for about 12 years, and their prices kept going up. My premium kept going up. I'm like, “There's got to be something else we can do with this.” I started looking around for another company. I finally found one. So, I went with them. You pay them the first month. You gotta wait 30 days before you can even do anything about it. So, I contacted them about my dishwasher, and the only thing they do is give you what they think your appliance is worth. So, I went back to American Home Shield. Then, I waited another 30 days to get my policy activated again and wish I had never left.
I will not leave American Home Shield again. We were with them when my air conditioner crapped out on me. I shattered my ankle May 30, 2019 and it was so impossibly hot, and the AC wouldn't work. July came, and I was in misery. I couldn't move. I was restricted to either a bed or a wheelchair for six months, and it got unbearable in here. I contacted American Home Shield. The company they contracted with came out here. They took a look at everything. The tech said, “You're gonna wind up with having to get a new unit. We've got to submit this to American Home Shield." Sure enough, I got a new unit and the only thing I had to pay was my deductible and the Freon that they did not cover. It would have been extremely expensive. That was a central air unit. So, that's at the very least a $3,000 unit from everything I've been able to look up on it. I paid $800 out of pocket. I can go for that.
American Home Shield is perfect for this household, and I will recommend them. I often recommend them. I heard somebody in the grocery store the other week talking about having a problem with their water heater. I thought, “You just need to call American Home Shield.” My water heater went out here right before I left American Home Shield, and it was a bit of an emergency. They had somebody out here on that Sunday to get that thing fixed so it quit spewing water everywhere until they could get me a new one.
American Home Shield does not pay you what they think your appliance is worth. American Home Shield is repair or replace. If they can’t repair it, they will replace it with something of a like-type thing. If you wanna change the facade to stainless steel over the painted things you get, you could do that. It’s gonna be along the same lines of what you got, but they'll replace it. And all you pay is your deductible. Now, you have to pay things like Freon in air conditioning. They only pay for so much, and then you have to pay the rest. To me, that's perfectly reasonable because that stuff is horribly expensive.

The most recent claim was to get my water heater replaced. A plumber came by earlier in the year to fix a leak. He said it would eventually start leaking and explode all over the place then I'd have to get the whole thing replaced because it's 25 years old. The most recent plumber that came out did a really good job at getting it all put together. The only thing that he has not sent me yet is the invoice so that I can give it to my homeowners insurance. I called him last week on it and he said he was gonna send it over but I still have not received it.
My only complaint was that this was an emergency. There was water everywhere. I'm not familiar with water heaters so trying to find the shutoff valve to try and keep the water damage down was insane. My water heater sits right next to my heater vent. I had no idea how long water had been going down into that heater vent. That sat on the cement slab and it could do some damage to that cement underneath where that heating elements are. I was trying to get AHS to get a plumber out there ASAP and it ended up taking them two days to get one. Apparently, they couldn't find anybody or get any surrounding area plumbers to get out there any sooner than that Saturday of that same week or even that Monday. I didn't get a feeling of a sense of urgency from them in getting it fixed and I wasn't happy with that part of it.

I do like American Home Shield. I just don't like when the call goes over to another country. You connect with a representative but the representative that we get is not good. The communication is not good. Getting them to understand certain things is where my frustration comes. It's hard for me. Also, they need to get more organized when we call and have questions. They need to take good notations so when we call, another rep can get out there and see what's going on. I have a couple of them I just hung up on 'cause I couldn't take it.
The techs are very pleasant and professional but I've had to call back a couple of times. There's an issue with my washing machine and I've called on it three or four times. The first time, they said it wasn't doing what it was supposed to do. They thought there was a leakage. We had to call the plumbing people out. They came then the washing machine was acting up again. I had to call them back and say the water's still leaking. We still don't know where the water is leaking from. The plug caused the circuit to trip so we thought maybe it was where we plug in the socket. We changed that out but it was the washing machine. Now, I'm waiting on them to come back 'cause the motor already came. The tech thinks it's the motor so we'll see.

American Home Shield has been okay. But sometimes they're very lazy. I've called them last week and I'm still waiting on their call. They never called me back on my problem. It’s better if they promise something like when they will call me. So they should call on time, yes or no. Of course, sometimes, it's a no. But they should be in touch with their clients and have better communication. But I’ll tell other people that so far, I found American Home Shield to be good. I've had experience with a few other home warranties in New York and American Home Shield is a lot better than them.

The AHS website was simple and easy to use, but it took a few days for the repair guy to get out here. He gave me a lesson on water heaters. We didn't have enough hot water on the side of the house and I thought my water heater was going out, but it wasn't. Right now, we're in freezing temperatures, so we're lucky to have some water. In this city right now, everything is frozen and we just have a trickle of water.

I had a claim for the thermostat. That was fine. The guy came out, looked at it, and everything seems to be working properly. But I'm not happy with American Home Shield, especially with the plumbing issue. I had problems getting the guy to come in, because he told me that there was an appointment on the 17th. But no one called me to tell me there was an appointment. So, it went by when nobody came over.
I had to call back AHS to let them know that nobody showed up. And that's when I found out that they said, “Well, they were supposed to be there on the 17th.” I was like, “Well, no, they didn't. No one called me.” I had to call the guy back up to let him know that he was supposed to come. He made an appointment to come, and then he did not come on that appointment either. He told me that he was in the hospital and he couldn't come. I can understand if something happened like that. But you can sit there, call and tell me, “I'm sorry. I don't think I’ll be able to make it.” It was terrible. I'm thinking about getting a different warranty company because of that issue.
This was the third time that he had to come to my house. They finally figured out that they need a part for the sink because it was not working properly. And that was the reason why the water flow was not correct because the handles were not working properly. The water flow was very light. They needed to order a new one. And then when it comes in, they will come back to do the job again.
Thanks for sharing your warranty experience. I apologize for the inconvenience we've caused you. My name is Stacy and I've emailed you as I would like to speak to you more about your claim.

When I tried to make an appointment online with AHS, it didn't work. I've had to call AHS the last two times because they've indicated to me that the website is not acting appropriately, which was very upsetting. Because I normally just go and log into my account and make the appointment that way. Going online is easier. It's more time-consuming to make a phone call when you have to wait on hold, and then you have to ask all these verifiable questions and go through all that.
When I made the initial appointment and I told them how urgent it was, they booked someone that wasn't available to come out until four days later. I had to call back to cancel and tell them I needed somebody sooner. They had somebody come out the very next day, which was what I needed. AHS needs to double-check that these people that we're booking for these appointments can come out in close proximity that is commensurate with the emergency.
My washer has stopped working in mid-cycle. My dishwasher wasn't drying my dishes appropriately. So the guy that came out told me what was wrong and he fixed the clothes washer, then he told me what I needed to do for the dishwasher. It worked out fine. He was very pleasant and down to earth. He fixed the problem very quickly. I was also having an issue with the garage and they fixed that. I also had a claim for the refrigerator. We got a new refrigerator because they couldn't find the parts to fix it. So I've had a good experience with American Home Shield overall. They do what they say they're gonna do. For the most part, I'm satisfied with the service.

We recently had an issue with the water tank. One side of the faucet was coming out lukewarm. It wasn’t the proper balance. Part of the assumption was that we hadn't used the water a lot since we've been in the house. The guy who came gave some information about the water tank that was useful, then he adjusted the temperature. The water came out really hot while one side was on. We adjusted it back down and then the temperature was correct. He was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. I couldn’t have asked for better customer service.
The other claim previous to that was with the hot water heater. The company was supposed to come between 2:00 and 6:00 on a Friday. They said they would call 30 minutes when they were en route. The plumber didn't call me until he arrived at my house. Then at that point, there was no way I could meet him there, so he left. I called the company and we went back and forth. It was about 4 o’clock then and I was on my way home. They said they would have someone come between 4:00 and 6:00. I waited until a quarter after 6:00 and no one showed up. Then their office closed at 5:00 so I only left a message.
The next morning, the rep called me from their office asking me if I wanted someone to come out on that Saturday but I had a meeting that morning for my job. I told him that would be great, but I need to schedule it. He told me to call him back. Then, I got a call from their rep saying that he came to my house, and I wasn’t there. But I never scheduled. I called the rep back and he was sorry and he'd have somebody on Monday. I told him I don’t want anybody from their company coming out. I need to have someone else.
I called Home Shield and the young lady said if I don't use this company, they would have to charge me another $100. I told her they never came out. She said I had to use them. Then I told her that if I use this company again and they don’t show up, then I’m gonna cancel my policy with Home Shield. She said to hold on, and then came back and gave me another plumbing company, which was the one that came the most recent. Even though we finally got somebody out, American Home Shield knows I'm not happy.

Recently, the downdraft vent fan behind my cooktop was not coming on. The tech took 30 minutes to figure out what was wrong with it. He was very professional and he was able to solve the problem. He took the fan apart, cleaned the mechanism, and put it back together. The fact that the techs would come out to our location to do the job is great. When ATR first came out on January 28th, the thermostat upstairs went totally blank and there was no power going through it. There was a low voltage fuse blown. They fixed the fuse and replaced the thermostat. Everything is working fine. On February 3rd, I noticed the thermostat was blank again. So the same thing happened again and ATR came back on February 6th. They said they replaced a low voltage wire and the same fuse again for blowing.
Everything appeared to be working correctly at that time. But on the 13th of February, I noticed the thermostat was off again. So ATR came back on the 18th and they found the fuse blown again. I was here with the tech that day. He had a hard time figuring out what exactly was causing the fuse to blow. He attempted to leave and leave me with a case of fuses to replace the fuse once it blows again. I told him, "Are you telling me just to put a fuse in it every week and just deal with it?" Then he kind of didn't say anything and he inspected it further and found a thermostat wire outside of the house near the unit that was rubbing against the receiver dryer for the Freon. He fixed that wire. He isolated it and wrapped it. Everything seemed to be working fine at that time.
Since then, I've noticed that the heat will not shut off upstairs. The thermostat shows that it turns the blower motor fan off, but the outside unit still runs. It's going in and out of defrost mode. But it won't shut off, and the temperature has gone up to about 78 upstairs. It just keeps on running. I had called American Home Shield back and requested if they can send another company out to look at it. They said they couldn't do that. But American Home Shield refunded me the $75 that I paid for ATR, and then I paid another $75 to get to start another work order, so they could call a different company out.
The guy from Thermodynamic Solutions called me yesterday morning to set up an appointment at 1:00 that afternoon. By 12:40, I got a text message from American Home Shield saying that the technician was on their way and to click this link to track where they were at. So I clicked on that link and it looked like he was going to be late. He was going to be there at 1:40. I stayed at work because I don't work that far away, and I figured, once he was 15 minutes away, I was just gonna leave and meet him at the house.
I got a text message about doing a survey about a completed service from American Home Shield, and I looked at where I could track the technician and he said he already completed the service. I called the technician and he was very rude on the phone and he told me that he was at the house at 1:00 and I missed my appointment. I told him I was tracking him and it said he wasn't gonna be there till 1:40. But he claimed that he knew nothing about that and he didn't know what I was talking about and that I missed the appointment and I would have to call American Home Shield back to set up another appointment. Before I could say anything else, he said, "Have a nice day," and he hung up on me.
I called American Home Shield back and they wanted to forward me again to the contract representative. I told them no because I'm still waiting on them to call me from the first claim and I've heard nothing, and I still have heat that doesn't work upstairs. So they tried to contact the guy again to get in contact with me to schedule another appointment. I had not heard anything from him since and it's been about 24 hours.
The representatives at American Home Shield tried to help me. But I didn't know that a refund was an option, and that would have been nice to me as an option when I called a few times before because then my heat could have been fixed a few weeks ago. But they did what they could within their limits. I may have been demanding too much, but I'm still frustrated. Luckily, I have a downstairs system also that has heat, but I don't know what my electricity bill's gonna be. I've been dealing with this issue for a month. I'm not happy at all. Whenever I can get this thing resolved, I want to end my contracts. I don't want to pay for it anymore.

J.A.P.S. Heating and Air was great. Greenway Heating and Cooling came out initially and told me my compressor was out. I took that as fact because I don't know anything about HVAC. I told the tech that the ductwork had been cut by the previous homeowner because there was a water leak in the house and he wanted to make sure there was no mold in the ductwork. So, the guy said, "Well, that looks like animal damage." I said, "It's not. The guy cut the main duct line." He said okay but he didn't even get underneath my house and look at it.
Later on, he said the compressor was out and that he was going to have to order the part and his project manager would get back with me the following Monday, which was three days later. I didn't hear from them on Monday. So on Tuesday, I sent them a message and said, "Hey, I want to go ahead and schedule my compressor to be fixed." They said, "You're going to have to get with your warranty company." So, I got with American Home Shield and they said that the claim was denied because the HVAC was broken due to animal damage. I said, "How can an animal break an HVAC unit?"
To get a second opinion, they sent J.A.P.S. Heating and Cooling out to my house. The tech took one look at the compressor, and he said, "There is nothing wrong with the compressor. That is something that Greenway likes to say because they can only bill American Home Shield a certain amount. But with the Freon, that goes to the customer." So, American Home Shield only pays $10 per pound and the customer owes the rest. I was flat out lied to by American Home Shield's choice heating and cooling company, and the second opinion guy that came out from J.A.P.S. took one look at it, knew that it was a corroded connection that was like $100 fix, and fixed it within 20 minutes, and he was on his way. Now, everything is working perfectly fine.
I've called a plumber out to my house also and American Home Shield's first choice couldn't get to me in time, so they did the second choice in line. He was wonderful. He answered all my questions, went above and beyond what was asked of him. He was great. But it's always that second company in line that seems to be a whole lot better than American Home Shield's first choice and the first ones they go to.

AHS works with you. The contractor did put a new faucet in yesterday and it's nice. It's something comparable to what we had. We've used AHS over the years for some other projects and for the most part, the contractors are good. It's just this dual-flush Fluidmaster especially with that intermittent flushing that this particular plumber didn't have a lot of familiarity with. It's an older model. He was kind of flying by the seat of his pants on it. He did his best to try to fix it twice but it was frustrating because he didn't get it the first time. He did it the first time and it still was leaking. He tried to do it a second time and the handle wouldn't go down properly. He wasn't able to fix that and determined that it needed to be replaced overall.
Before the same person came back for the third time, we talked to Tom, the owner. He went back through all the job orders since the very first one was done and looked at everything that had been done and what couldn't be done. He recognized that it needed to have a replacement for the tank mechanism, as well as for the tank. He ordered them so that the guy could pick them up on the way to the house yesterday. The toilet has this ghost-flushing thing on it to where it randomly flushes sometimes for no reason. He tried different things and it was still ghost-flushing so he ended up having to replace the dual-flush itself to see if that was the reason. It was still doing it so he's thinking it's the other part that goes around the sink. They're going to order that part and have that replaced. They're thinking that should take care of the ghost-flushing problem.
Thanks for letting us know everything worked out great for you. Taking care of our members is the main goal here at AHS. I am glad that you were happy with the work done. We look forward to servicing you in the future as needed. Enjoy your day.

I've been surprised to find a company so true to its word and that means a lot to me. Our Whirlpool refrigerator was not cooling. A Sears tech came and fixed it. I was surprised that he was so young and knowledgeable, polite, and professional. Then my GE got messed up. It was a similar situation. But I got messed up because it was dark when I did the report in the garage. I thought it was an LG. But it was a GE. So the first guy came with everything from LG. It was my bad but he said it was not a problem. Then it was rescheduled to bring parts that was needed. But when the young boy from Sears came again to do the installation of the part, he said it was beyond fixing. That was when I got the resolution from American Home Shield to go for the replacement rather than fixing it.

We've had a bunch of claims with American Home Shield and our experiences with them have always been positive. The only thing that is not positive is when a contractor takes a long time to come. There was one time we had to wait almost two weeks for the washing machine to get fixed. The contractor still needed the parts and that took forever. We also have a leaky dishwasher. It'll take a week for the contractor to get here. They're coming on Monday. But when Sears came out for our dryer, our interaction with their technician was positive.

My neighbor in the back of my house saw white smoke coming from my heater/AC unit on top of the roof. I thought it was just the cold air freezing up the carbon monoxide that spills out of the heater. For safety's sake, I contacted AHS and they recommended Anthem Mechanical. The guy came out in the middle of a snowstorm. He had a great attitude and discussed the problem. He immediately smiled and said it was exactly what I thought it was. It's just condensation but he did take a look at the heater to make sure that everything was working right. It was a good experience.

We didn't have any heat blowing. Applied Air came out and they did a phenomenal job. I did the claim to American Home Shield through the app on the phone, and they contacted me immediately. They were attentive. They found out what my need was, and they set an appointment for that day, and I really appreciated it because it was seven degrees outside. Thank God we had like a little fireplace heater, so we just used that for the night, and the contractor came the next day. All I knew was the engine was broken and they fixed it. I also had a gentleman come in through an electrical situation. AHS handled it quite well. The gentleman was very courteous and explained to me what was going on.

The GE guy that came out was very friendly. He resolved the issue right away. Now it has to be replaced. I talked to a young lady yesterday who was very helpful. The lady I talked to today, was not as helpful and her system was down. She got locked out and she was supposed to call back but I still haven’t heard from her.

The guy they sent out was great. He fixed the AC in no time. We were thinking it was gonna be something real difficult, but it was just the thermostat. He said it went bad and that's the reason the heat and air weren't switching over. He was a great communicator. He told us he was running a little bit late. So that was nice. He was very professional and knowledgeable in his field of experience.
I had another home warranty company before and we switched to American Home Shield around the same time that the hurricane hit. I wasn't able to sign up for it online myself but every time I call, their customer service has been great and she found it and got me set up. I chatted with their rep on the phone for an hour that day while we were getting everything all set up. It was a great experience from the start. I also had American Home Shield several years ago when I had my house in Mississippi. In that particular location, I had issues with the people who they sent out for plumbing. But eventually, we got all that straightened out. It's never been something that couldn't be fixed. Overall, American Home Shield is efficient. It's good for your money. It's a great thing to have.

There was a terrible gas that was still in the house and I was afraid to use the oven. The person that came out the first time said that it didn't seem to be an issue. He was telling me that he would have to find the oven not working. But working or not, gas was escaping and that thing can explode. Then he noticed that the fan for the convection oven was broken. He said that they would replace the fan but it took forever for the part to come.
When the part finally came in, a gentleman came out and I told him that my biggest problem was the gas. I had to call the gas company to come in and they were the ones who told me to have someone look at the stove and not to use it. So when the gentleman smelled that gas, he got right on it. He said that this was a problem and that we needed the igniter. He also told me to turn the stove off and not to use it again till he got back. He had the part in the office and he was gonna come back and then they scheduled it right away.
The gentleman came in and fixed that issue, and I didn't have another problem. I'm so appreciative of him for taking care of that problem for me because that stove could have blown up. It was such a relief when, finally, the second gentleman repaired it. I was so appreciative of that. Now that he has also fixed the fan, I'm trying to use that convection oven and make sure the fan is working now.
American Home Shield has been excellent because of that second guy who came in and cleaned up the other guy's mess. They've been very good. They do a good follow-up and I appreciate the fact that they had someone that was professional enough. He was the only one that came back the next two times. He came right in, got the work done, and didn't fool around. I'm very happy with them. I've already mentioned American Home Shield to my sister and I've told her that I stay with them because I don't have any complaints. Whenever I had a problem, they would have someone to come. I had an issue with my refrigerator, which I had to track that down. That was a whole other story but I finally got that resolution.

Recently, I've been having trouble with my air conditioning. I said to AHS, “I need to know if the AC is not working." The techs came out and there was a fuse blown. They had to come back the next morning with the fuse. They came back before I needed to be at work and fixed it within five minutes. It was fine. Our AHS rep has always given us good service. The only thing is, in the last year, there have been some vendors sent out for repairs that were not on our preferred list. I've had one situation where I had a problem with that and the repair work they did. It was some AC repair people. I have my AC checked every season. They were going to charge me $800 for Freon. The year before, they had done something with the same issue and were supposed to have replaced it. They found it was their error for not fixing it the first time the year before. So, they paid for the Freon last year. They corrected the error.
AHS has given me a choice before, if they couldn't get out quick enough, to call my own person. We've had a lot of storms and a lot of things going wrong in our area in Texas that we've been hit. When things are backed up with different contractors, or plumbers, they have let us give them the name of someone to call that I felt like would get out here in a hurry when their people couldn't do it timely. So, I appreciate that, rather than having to wait. Because this one particular time, my bathroom was out of commission. It was nice for them to allow me to have someone come out that could fix it immediately.

When the furnace turned on, it was making a really nice whining noise. When the tech got here, he was like, "Oh, yeah. I can hear it. Watch this." He showed me, “When I took the panel off, it's way louder.” He kind of walked me through the process and he told me what it does, and then kind of informed me like, "Hey, we're gonna get it replaced. This is what you need to look out for in case there is a problem. This should be fine. But in case it does it, this is what you can do to be able to fix it."
When submitting a claim to American Home Shield, you just go online and say, "Okay. I need this." You kind of give a little bit of a description of what's happening. I ended up getting a text message and email update the entire way, once it got assigned, when my time schedule was and who to talk to. I called and re-upped my warranty because it's been really good. I was wondering was if you can call and request people who have been at my house before. They were like, "Oh, yeah. Just go call instead of doing the online. You can actually request."

We were very pleased with Garage Doors and More. We've been with American Home Shield since 2002 and we've had some very positive experiences and some very negative experiences. We've had some very poor service people that have come out and things have taken a long time to get fixed. There's always that fine print there that catches you. Also, it's very hard to submit a claim on the phone because you have to wait a very long time to talk with someone. I prefer to talk in person because we've had some really unsuccessful attempts at getting appliances fixed. So I tend to like to talk to someone to make sure the service person that’s being sent out is someone that we would accept work from.

We only used the service with American Home Shield once but we were very satisfied with it. I went online and filled out a form. Then, I got an email back that said I would hear from a plumber within 24 hours. The next day, somebody called me and we set up an appointment for the following day. So within two days of when I reported it, the problem was fixed.
There was a valve that was leaking when it was turned on so we turned it off. When we did, the toilet wouldn't work but it didn't leak anymore. So it had to be replaced so it wouldn't leak when it was turned on. The plumber had the parts and he went down to his truck and got the valve and the new parts for the inside of the toilet. He replaced both and he was gone in less than an hour from start to finish. Everything went well. We didn't know who to pick for a plumber because we just went with the people that called us. I assumed that AHS suggested the people that they already had a relationship with. I was pleased with the service from AHS but I also was pleased with the company that they picked because they're the ones that did the work and they did a good job.

But a part had warped and he had to order a replacement. He removed a melted knife that melted on the heating coil on the first visit. Then, it also had melted the soap dispenser so he bought a new soap dispenser. Now, the spring in the door squeaks something fierce, and he told me that wasn't covered by the warranty. My motor of bathroom exhaust fan burnt up so I filed a claim online for someone to come out. American Home Shield said someone would contact me in 24 hours and someone did. I had to go out of town so I had to wait a couple of days. Afterward, he called me and let me know that he was going to be in the area between 10:30 and 11:30. He came in and checked the exhaust fan. He was really quick.
Because the fan is up in the ceiling, I couldn't send him a picture of what the model number was. He said that if he didn't have the motor, he would have to come back in a few days. But it turned out that he had another motor to install. He put that in and that took him all of 20 minutes. The guy was really nice and very informative. He gave me some really good tips then he went on his way. My fan got fixed and it works wonderfully.
I'm glad that I have American Home Shield. I like it so much and I'm gonna buy my mom one because she would say, "I need to call somebody out and I don't know who to call." My experience was flawless. I went to the American Home Shield website, submitted the claim and it was assigned within half an hour. The contractor was gonna try to get to it the same day but they said the next day for sure. They were here first thing the next morning and the issue was fixed. They knew exactly what they were there to do and were done quickly.
My other experiences with American Home Shield have been mostly fine. However, we had one issue that’s still not resolved and I can't get anybody to reply to me. We have a Viking oven that needed to be fixed. They do not have any contracts with anybody that works on a Viking stoves so we had to find our own. We were told to get them to call American Home Shield during their visit for an estimate and let them know. We called but the rep didn't seem to know why we were calling. I told him and he said, "Let me talk to the technician." The technician said, “Hi. I’m the technician who’s here to repair the oven.” The rep asked, “What’s the catch,” and the technician asked, “What do you mean what’s the catch?” The rep repeated, “What’s the catch?” The technician asked, “You mean how much is it gonna cost?”
It was very unprofessional. I didn’t understand what the rep was saying. I'm not sure he had a firm grasp of either what he was doing or even the English language. He was using these slang terms inappropriately like “What's the catch?” I had a professional standing there who was waiting to fix my oven and he was being treated like a shyster. At the end of the phone call, the rep did not have a next step for me. I asked if he was gonna take care of it and he said, "No, I’ve never done this before.” I sent a couple of emails and I’ve never heard back so I’m still out of pocket for the entire repair. I’m still waiting to be paid.
Every time American Home Shield has had someone under contract that repairs those items, it’s been great. I understand Viking is kind of a high-end item and people that repair them don’t want to take a reduced payment for what they’re doing. But it’s been a pain in the neck. I had another repair that had to be done and I didn’t even bother to call American Home Shield ‘cause I didn’t want to go through that whole process again. American Home Shield should let everybody know that their service doesn't include certain brands of appliances. That would have changed my mind about which plan to get.

But I've had this issue four times. Three times, I've called American Home Shield. It's been the same problem every time somebody comes out.
I would think that after three times, American Home Shield would know that when I make a phone call, I need somebody that can work on components in a mobile home. They obviously don't get it because the first contractor they set me up with inevitably ends up being someone that, "I'm sorry, sir, but we don't work on mobile homes. AHS had contacted Reliable right away on that Monday. The tech came out and confirmed it was a leak and not the water heater. It was a pipe under the water heater. They sent a leak detector guy on Wednesday then they plugged it up on Friday. It was a difficult spot to get to but the they got it. AHS covered it because it was in the house. That was one of the fears I've had. I do have it also on my home insurance because if those leaks happen to be in your living room, they're going to tear up floors to get to it. I tried to use AHS twice in 8 months. The first was for a broken a/c unit and I didn’t receive a phone call for over a week to get a assigned service provider. I paid 8000.00 to change out the ac unit instead of waiting for AHS to come through on the contract agreement. The most recent break down I had was December 6, 2020 and today I have decided to make a final ditch attempt to have my broken clothes washer repaired. I called AHS over a dozen times to have this repaired as I used my neighbors washing machine. I was assigned a service provider and after he came out twice I was told he could not fix the machine. He did have the proper insurance coverage to come into my condominium building. I was then assigned four additional service companies all of whom canceled on me. They could not and would not bring the proper insurance documents needed to enter the building.
I then requested a refund of the year's premium due to not being able to use the company. I was denied as it was paid in full. I was then told if I canceled my paid in full contract that I would not be receiving a refund or partial refund from that. I would also have to pay a cancellation fee. I asked if this was AHS way of saying they have x number of subscribers. She assured me it wasn’t but it’s just in the contract and she can not bend the rules and would rather have a disgruntled customer than no customer at all. I am not sure how AHS has been around 45 years and don’t see it being around much longer when I can’t get a service provider to my condo to do the service work.
I certainly hate to hear that you have received less than satisfactory service & I apologize for the inconvenience. Thanks for sharing your feedback. Have a great week.

The plumber stated they were still on a job. Would try and make it. Right after the phone call, I received a text that it was rescheduled for 2/10/21 - 8:00 - 12:00 from AHS. I called (2/9/21) AHS to try and find another plumber/expedite the issue. They stated they could not expedite it with the plumber after speaking with him and no other plumber was available.
The plumber came to the house on 2/10/21 and stated a new water heater was needed and he would expedite the request, but it would still take approximately a day or two to process it through AHS and get the hot water heater/material for installation. He also added that there would be approximately an additional cost of around $500 that AHS won't cover. He was also unaware that we didn't have hot water since Saturday (2/6/21). According to AHS they spoke to the plumber with the information, but apparently this was not the truth. I contacted AHS 2/10/21 to update them on the status from the plumber and also make sure it was expedited on their end. According to AHS they had not received the information yet from the plumber.
However, a few minutes after the plumber left I received an email survey from AHS about the plumber. This is when I called AHS and was told they didn't receive information from the plumber. This email would suggest information was sent to AHS from the plumber. AHS said if they don't receive a report from the plumber within 24 hours, they will reach out to the plumber to obtain. Based on this information and timeline, it would appear another week will go by without hot water in our home. The process and customer service is terrible. I've submitted 3 claims and currently, they have not resolved one of them. My monthly service agreement payment and $75 service fee for each request, however, had been processed without any issues or delays. To date - $763.56 contract + $225 ($75 service fees) + $50 personal cost of parts (self-repair) for lack of service = $1038.56

We purchased our second house and American Home Shield came along with it. We needed extra coverage just in case. They have been pretty flexible and quick to respond so far. They resolved our issues pretty easily. The furnace in the house was not heating so I did a claim online. The website is a little outdated but it's fine. I received a text message and a phone call from the service provider. A tech came with a mask on and he was great. He immediately went to work. He had to go get a part, returned, fixed the problem, and left. It was pretty professional and quick. I was then given a detailed explanation via email. This repair has helped greatly and it made our life easier.
Our goal is to pair you with the best contractor that will provide a quick and final resolution. Thank you for sharing your recent experience with us regarding your service request. We are happy that we were able to get the issue resolved for you. We look forward to our continued business together. Have a good day

Choice Plumbing and Heating came out and told us that some hoses and a switch caused the issue with our heating. They tried to order some new hoses, but they were obsolete, so they did a fix on it with what they had. They were very helpful and informative. Then I called with the recall 'cause it started acting up again.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
