I have contacted Western Exterminator multiple times to come out and treat the ants and they have not shown up for multiple appointments that I have made with them even though I received email confirmations that they were coming. In addition, today they would not come into the house to spray the ants and only sprayed outside saying they would come in afterwards. We have a regular monthly service with them and it’s not cheap by any stretch of the imagination and their service lacks a lot so much so that I’m considering changing companies. I’m a very unhappy customer.

A man named Mike came out because I have been fighting rats and mice in my crawl space and mice in the house. He suggested a cleanup under the house which included removing old vapor barrier, and spraying a substance into the cracks to the house to prevent access to the house from below. This would be followed by monthly trap setting for 58/visit. The total was for $3,200.

I’ve been paying for monthly service for six weeks and they have not caught a single rat. Not one. They sealed the house. They set traps. They are supposed to come weekly. In practice, “weekly” means missed appointments, changed appointment times without notice, and complete disregard for anything I tell them. They show up whenever they feel like it, glance at empty traps, and leave. Every attempt to raise concerns sends me into an endless loop of scheduling issues, vague reassurances, and zero accountability. I explain what I’m seeing. It gets ignored. I point out patterns. They get dismissed. Meanwhile, the rat remains very much employed.

Our service person is Jason. He is professional and personable. He listens to us to check the issues we may have. The prices keep going up and we have someone at least once a week wanting to talk to us about switching. Some are actually a bit less expensive. We have been Western customers for some time and if quality of service stays the same we will continue to use them. Plus Jason is great

I have never previously left a negative review online, so this is my first (and hopefully only). I was a loyal customer for Western Exterminators (and Eden Pest Control until Western purchased it) for 15 years and generally had a good experience. But what happened in the last month cannot go unaddressed, and I feel compelled to let everyone know what happened to me.

I would like to start saying that I am absolutely disappointed in the accounts and receiving Department out of the Los Angeles Temple Street location starting with Cheyanne, I have never experienced such disgusting and disrespectful "customer service". 11/21/24 I received a call from Cheyanne about my account first thing in the morning. She pronounced the name on the account wrong and I politely corrected her, after that her nasty disrespectful demeanor arised. I informed Cheyanne that I was in traffic and would provide the necessary documents once I stopped, being that payment was rendered, Cheyanne went in to disrespectfully let me know she had been trying to reach me and I needed to provide the proof NOW.

I used to use a company that was bought by Western, and the service went from excellent to horrible. There were at least three no-shows. After years of using the company that was bought by Western, I switched to another company. They actually shows up!

STAY AWAY from this company. They do NOT have a good business model. Donald who came out to look at our garage was the best part of the experience. He was knowledgeable and professional. Everything after was a nightmare. The portal they set you up with doesn't have accurate information. They posted jobs and needs on it that was not discussed. Had to call and get them removed. Scheduled a termite service, talked to FIVE reps from the company leading up to the day of the work, NO SHOW on the day of the work. Call back and the woman says, "that was never confirmed." Yet, I talked to multiple agents who had confirmed it. So I took a day off work for no reason, took stuff out of the garage for no reason. I will be talking to a manager and canceling my contract. They can't be trusted. And if they can show up for the work as scheduled, they surely can do a good job on the work. Don't be fooled by their lower estimates. Not worth your time.

Do NOT use Western Exterminator if you have Pets and Kids. Western Exterminator almost Killed my 3 pound Dog and they DID NOT CARE. My dog was poisoned with Rat Bait that I didn't even know about or gave permission to use on my property, immediately after a service visit. They took no accountability. The chemicals and rat bait they use are toxic and deadly to pets and endanger children. My dog was in the ICU for three days and it cost $8,000 to save her life. She was dying from Anticoagulant RODENTICIDE EFFUSION. Western Exterminator does NOT care about their customers. They had ZERO Sympathy let alone helped with the medical bills. Please do not use this company. Find an ethical exterminator. They are purposely miseducating and not warning about the dangers to pets and kids. BEWARE!

Their customer service is terrible. It takes them forever for them to get back to you. No shows 3 times with appointment set. I finally told them that I wanted to speak to a supervisor and it was only income that they actually show up and come take their equipment away. I wouldn’t Recommend this company.

I had to rent my home for a couple of years and the tenant left the back door open and dog food on the floor in a very high rodent area, then called me shocked that he had rodents. The company came and the said they would rodent proof the house but that the back door was the main culprit.

So, I have had this ** company provide services to me. I noticed great employees no longer around. And then!!! I got sent to a collection firm for not paying my bill WHEN THEY NEVER SENT A BILL TO BE PAID. DO. NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! THEY CANNOT EVEN CALL AND SAY, "HEY, CAN YOU PAY YOUR BILL." That I never RECEIVED. Asked for a call from a manager. NOTHING!! Cowards and now I have this on my credit score. Thanks for nothing and treat your employees better!

I’ve been using Western Exterminating for well over a decade now: they are professional, timely, and provide excellent service! We have had to use them for every bug Arizona has as well as rodents! We sincerely appreciate their expertise! I would highly recommend them!

We have received quarterly pest mitigation services for over 20 years. Western Exterminators has a consistent serviceman (Mario) for the whole 20 years. He is always on time. They call ahead to ask if any problems but also respond out to any ants, wasps, bees and rodent issues that have come up in between quarterly services or on demand (or should I say crises). We have had bees swarm our chimney and come into the house. We have had a rat in garage a couple of times. All of these calls were met with a fast response/arrival and problem solved. Thanks Western for being reliable, professional and personable.

Justin, the exterminator, is always very polite, friendly and professional. He does a thorough job and will keep us posted if he will be delayed. I appreciate that. If we see scorpions between services he will come back, no charge.

Scott from Western has done a great job for the past 2 years servicing our house. We have experienced few bug and scorpion issues and he is always available to answer any questions we may have. I would recommend him to anyone considering a pest service.

I have had really poor service for the last several months. One technician left my gate open and my dog got out, fortunately she didn't go far and wasn't hit by a car. My February service never happened. I had appointments twice. No one showed up. Very unhappy.

We have used Western for years. We love our CSR Alfred. He always addresses any pest needs and is thorough and professional. Winters are wet and rainy here in the Pacific Northwest but our home remains pest free even during the rainy season.

Western Exterminator have always been on time. They are very thorough with their service. If I need them to come out earlier than their scheduled time they have always accommodated their schedule to meet mine. Their price is very reasonable and so I am very pleased with them all around.

The visit to my home was on-time, the work that was done, as always, was done efficiently and quickly. Our technician that comes out is always right on-track. He is quick, but very thorough, and always has current information on pests and/or solutions to getting rid of them.

Your field technicians are fabulous but your office staff leaves a lot to be desired - I called at least seven time to get a copy of a Service Inspection Report for October and December - NEVER received either so I am withholding payment on those two inspections until I get the reports - got today's report from the technician so I will pay for today's inspection - wish I still had The Hitmen doing my work!!

The technician made his visit while we were out of town. We did not get the phone call message telling us of the upcoming visit and therefore couldn’t be present or contact Western to reschedule. Perhaps Western could use our mobile phone number: ** instead of our home number: ** to notify us of upcoming visits.

Company had long-standing instructions to never spray around the house (unless told otherwise by the owners), and to never spray the outdoor spiders as these are beneficial. The technician arrived when no one was home and, according to the report, did both, while omitting to treat around the base of the barn/shop complex where treatment for carpenter ants and rodents has been requested and ongoing for a number of years.

We've had the absolute WORST experience with Western Exterminator! We have their "365 Coverage" (had -- I just canceled) which was mostly preventative until we found mouse/rat droppings both under our sink and in the garage. Here was our experience: 1/19: (last Thursday) Contacted and was told we would get a follow-up call by EOD to schedule someone to come out. Spoiler alert: no call. 1/20: No call. 1/23: (Monday) Called and was told that we were on the schedule for Tuesday (1/22) between 8am-5pm and that someone would call to let us know the exact timeframe.

Mario D helped me with an ant issue on day of inspection. Also provided me with a quote best fitting my monthly budget. The rep was extremely helpful. Will recommend Western to everyone If anybody out there needs any help with ants, bugs, termites. I was just getting in touch with Mario at Western exterminators.

Charles called after the service to relay what he had found and the bait stations he refilled. I got the necessary early notice to unlock the crawl space and Charles locked it up afterwards. Very professional service. I got the written report right away.

A new technician introduced himself today before servicing my home and yard. He was very polite and asked if any new issues had occurred. He left a positive impression and detailed report online. He is a great representative for this company and fulfilled his tasks with knowledge and enthusiasm.

I talked to Chad yesterday. No one had serviced the outside of my property since October. No calls were made to me to explain or set up any monthly appointments. I have an ant hill in driveway which I described yesterday to Chad. Today the service person arrived and said he was here for ants in kitchen! I never said a word to Chad about the kitchen. The service person just shrugged when I stated this and said in a very blaming tone that we had to much space between bricks that are the driveway paver and that was the problem. Really? I am giving your company one more month to do a timely and professional job. Dr. Barbara

Scheduled spray around exterior of house for pest control purposes. Company is professional, on time, and provides great communication. Very happy with service. We have had service for just a short time and already very impressed with how well it has prevented spiders and other insects in and outside our home.

Western exterminator service has been very good. They always send a courtesy reminder the day prior to coming. I switched over from another company and have been happier since doing so. I would recommend Western exterminator. The service people also are always friendly and helpful.

Initial company contact was easy and Justin, our service person, is great - thorough and quick. Explains what he’s doing and he’s good at staying in touch and following up. So far, a great experience with Western Exterminator and would recommend them.

We are busy and don’t always have time to check personal emails. This service used to leave us a message as a courtesy call to tell us when the tree service is being performed. But now, just an e-mail is sent. In order to make lives easier across the board, we need that phone message so we have a heads up and can be home and keep our dogs inside, or request it be shifted to a day we are home and can do so. The technician seemed annoyed that the last time he came the dogs were out and barking, but I believe the communication tax is part of the services you should be providing and e-mail only is not sufficient for houses with pets to manage on your behalf. This can also impact technician safety.

Jason was so good explaining what he looks for, etc. He showed me where the company had inspected outdoors yearly although we were never contacted. Took my email for future. I would like a report each time. Would be good to know when they plan to inspect so they can do indoors.

I have been using the same tech for two decades. He is professional, courteous and cares about his customers. Mr. Carpenter is # 1. Highly recommend the company and my representative. No insects termites. They stop them before they get in your home.
