It took three attempts and to arrange the cleanup and I was charged after waiting all day for no service, I was charged for the total and went on vacation. I put a hold on the payment with Chase, and called multiple times 6-8 to get service, then was put into a collection co. without having had any service. I finally reached Mike and was served so released the funds but have since had to hire some other men to redo the vapor barrier, which is a weeks work for 2 men. So terrible service, miserable customer response, and no apology. I have used other companies in the past, Atco amongst them, and been much better served. Don't use Western!!!

This is pest control. Catching pests is the job. After six weeks, the fact that they cannot catch a single mouse while charging me monthly is unacceptable. If you want appointments missed, communication ignored, and absolutely no results, this is the company for you. If you want someone to actually solve the problem you’re paying for, look elsewhere.

My wife and son heard what they believed were mice in our walls. I called Western, who sent an "inspector" named Kodi to evaluate the problem. He spent some time in our crawl space and then we talked. Kodi told me that we had a major rat problem. He took some photos that he said backed up his claim (I didn't really see anything in them but I'm not the professional). He said the photos showed the rats were burrowing through insulation, building nests, leaving large droppings (which is why he knew they were rats and not mice) and a puddle of urine.

Then, he told me that in order to take care of the problem, it would cost more than $14,000 for "remediation." My jaw almost hit the floor. Keep in mind I was already paying Western for preventative service. I was in complete shock and told him I'd need to discuss it with my wife and get back to him. That evening, a guy named Jon who said he was regional manager texted me and asked if we would like to proceed. If we did it before the end of December, he would (so generously) knock 10% off of the quote. I asked Jon to have Kodi send me the pictures he took as well as a written formal estimate. The written estimate was for $12,600. There was obviously no way I was going to pay that kind of money.

I decided to have two more extermination companies come to my house so that I could get competing quotes that I suspected would be much lower than the one Kodi gave me. It turned out to be even more shocking than that. Both companies told me that I don't have any rat problem whatsoever. That's right-- they found no evidence of rat activity in the crawl space or anywhere else. They both told me:

Needless to say, I immediately canceled Western Exterminators, complained to Jon, who did nothing other than offer to come out to my house to take a look. I declined. He also spoke to Kodi who apparently defended his actions. It didn't matter; I had all the evidence I needed. I'm guessing that these "inspectors" get some sort of commission if they convince unsuspecting customers to pay. What Western Exterminators did to me is what I would consider to be fraud.

I live in a nice home, and I believe they were doing nothing more than trying to suck as much money out of me as possible. Not only was the quote ridiculously high, but they gave me the quote for a problem that I didn't have. Luckily, I had two other honest extermination companies tell me the truth. I would encourage anyone using Western Exterminators to dump them and find an honest business that values integrity. As it turns out, whatever made the noise in the walls for a couple of days is long gone and never returned.

I immediately requested to speak with her supervisor. I was blatantly told "you don't need to speak with my supervisor, you can talk to me". I was absolutely shock at this comment. I advised Cheyanne that I was done speaking to her and provide me with a sup. at this very moment. After several attempts she finally connected me to Danielle the Accounts dept. supervisor who immediately answered the phone with the same energy as Cheyanne. I advised me that I was not going to over talk her and that she was in charge of the conversation at this point. I was now at the top of the frustrated meter, at how these two young girls were handling this situation.

I told Danielle that would like to know who to contact in corporate at which time she told me she would not provide we with any of the information and the someone from the branch would reach out to me and hung up in my face. I called back and another representative stated that my account was noted for none of them to speak with me or give me any information, and she hung up in my face as well. I finally reached a representative that provided me with all the information that I had been requesting from the other 3 representatives that disrespectfully hung up in my face. Thanking her for that. I have canceled my services with Western Exterminator Company. If they support the nasty attitudes that they think their reps can talk to customers in that manner I will NEVER solicit their business and will ensure that this is noted everywhere possible. WEC you need to review this expeditiously as this was absolutely unacceptable.
